Supercorp headcanon:
Kara is ready to combust.
Everyday this week has been complete torment, but in a delicious way.
On Sunday, Lena wore an A-line floral dress to a brunch The Foundation hosted to promote its new Girls in STEM program.
On Monday, Lena showed up to CatCo for lunch with Kara in black slacks and a waistcoat, with a deep purple silk blouse underneath. Kara had to restrain herself from running her hand up and down the back of Lena’s blouse during their customary hug of greeting.
On Tuesday, the forest green dress Lena wore hugged her curves so well Kara couldn’t help but stare everytime she caught a glance of it across the room.
On Wednesday, a Hellgrammite started a fire in the business district that required the Superfriends help. J’onn, Lena, and Brainy stayed at the Tower as support for Supergirl, Dreamer, Sentinel, and Guardian. Four hours after the initial emergency alert, Supergirl flew into the tower through the balcony. She couldn’t wait to take a hot shower and maybe order some Chinese for dinner. But first, she had to write a debrief of her final saves from the day.
“Hey, darling. Are you ready to go?”
“Lena, hi! I’m almost—“ Kara starts to answer, but abruptly stops when she looks to the side and is eye level with Lena’s chest. “—done.”
The blue low-cut blouse Lena is sporting has left a considerable amount of cleavage exposed. Kara’s heart thunders, her face flushes, and her hand’s clench tightly to keep from reaching out to Lena. Unfortunately, the table under her grip isn’t prepared for the brunt of Kara’s Kryptonian strength, leaving two holes of twisted metal.
“…Oops.”
On Thursday, when Kara got to Lena’s penthouse, she found Lena snuggled on the couch in her National City University sweatshirt. The shirt was at least two sizes too large on Lena, giving it an oversized look. Kara’s eyes zeroed in on long, pale legs when Lena stood to greet the blonde with a hug.
After their hug, Lena moved into the Kitchen to gather snacks for their movie night. Without her heels, Lena had to tip toe to reach the Oreos on the second shelf.
“Darling, I can’t reach,” Lena huffed. When Kara turned to help, all the blood rushed to her head when she saw the former CEO’s nearly nonexistent short’s patterned with Supergirls crest.
Kara crossed the room on wobbly legs, reaching over the brunettes head to grab the Oreos, crackers, tea, and anything else from the top shelf Lena may need. If she takes a moment to glance down at her crest running along Lena’s ass and hips, well, she’ll just keep that little secret to herself.
On Friday, Lena wore black leggings and a soft white sweater to game night. Lena looked so soft and docile with her hair down, minimal makeup, and fuzzy socks. Kara couldn’t help but tuck her head into Lena’s neck, breathing in her sweet scent during their hug.
“Are you okay, darling,” Lena quietly asked as she moved one hand to cradle Kara’s head closer, while the other clutched onto strong broad shoulders.
“Fine, I’m fine. I just missed you.” Kara admitted.
“We saw each other last night, Kara.” Lena chuckled, moving to release Kara. The blonde wasn’t ready to let go, but did so anyway. Dropping her arms from Lena’s waist, Kara grabbed her hand and leading Lena to their favorite spot for game night.
On Saturday, it all finally comes to a head. The whole gang is out at Al’s Bar, enjoying the first night they’ve all been able to meet in what feels like years.
Lena looks stunning, dressed down in tight black ripped skinny jeans, a red crop top, brown leather jacket and black pumps. Their table had been crowded, and Lena made the executive decision to sit in Kara’s lap to “save space” for M’gann, who would be joining their group after her shift.
The drinks had been flowing steady all night, leaving everyone at least a bit tipsy. Kara had even indulged herself with an Aldebaran Rum and Coke. She sips slowly, remembering how it felt to be drunk the last time she had this drink. Lena’s proximity plus the alcohol is a heady combination.
By the time Kara is halfway through her drink, her left arm has snaked across Lena’s stomach, open palm holding the brunette close to her chest, while her right hand alternates between Lena’s thigh and her cup. Kara is hardly paying attention to the conversation, focused mainly on how close Lena is, how her hair smells like vanilla and honey, or how her heartbeat sounds strong and steady.
“Corazón, let’s go dancing!” Andrea exclaimed, pulling Lena to the dance floor.
Ugh, Andrea. It’s not that Kara dislikes her former boss, per se. The blonde just prefers that Kara and Lena time is not interrupted.
All week, Andrea has been popping up wherever Lena is. She stuck to Lena’s side during the entire Sunday brunch; called Lena for a meeting in the middle of Monday’s lunch date; was present for every single round Lena walked after Tuesday’s press conference; popped into the tower after Acrata helped with the fire on Wednesday; Thursdays movie night was interrupted when Andrea texted Lena about a “fashion emergency,” regarding a dinner she was going to; Andrea came halfway through game night on Friday, stealing Lena as her game partner and leaving Kara to third-wheel Alex and Kelly for the rest of the night.
Kara watches as Lena and Andrea move through the crowd of bodies to find a spot to dance in.
“You should just ask her out,” Alex leans over the the table to whisper-shout, her fourth beer clutched in her hand.
“Who?” Kara asks, trying hard to seem nonchalant.
“Lena, you dolt. We can all see clear as day how you two feel about each other. Put your big girls pants on and talk to her!”
“I don’t—I can’t, Alex. What if she rejects me? Our friendship just recovered, I can’t risk it asking for something I don’t deserve,” she laments, circling the rim of her glass with her finger.
“What about what Lena deserves? She cares about you, Kara. It’s been years of you two dancing around this thing.” Alex says.
“We aren’t dancing around anything, Al. She won’t want me, she doesn’t—“ the rest of her words die in her mouth as she catches a glance of Lena and Andrea on the dance floor. Lena’s back is pressed to Andrea’s front as the move to the beat of the music. When the song changes, Lena turns in Andrea’s grasp, standing chest to chest.
The glass in Kara’s grip shatters, spraying glass across the table. Thankfully, Kara’s cup was nearly empty.
“Shit, sorry. I’ll clean this up,” Kara said, using multiple napkins to collect the shards of glass.
Alex laughs, covering her mouth with her hand. “Kara, stop being a wimp and talk to her before Andrea asks her out again.”
“Yeah, okay, you’re right. I can do this, I got this.” Kara nods her head determinedly, chugs what remains of Alex’s beer and stands to make her way to Lena. As she navigates her way toward her hearts desire, she see’s Andrea’s hand lowering from its position on Lena’s back to rest on her ass. All conscious thought leaves Kara’s head as she quickens her pace just short of SuperSpeed to reach Lena.
“Lee—“

“Corazón, let’s go dancing!” Andrea exclaimed, pulling Lena to the dance floor.
“Drea, what are you doing?” Lena’s asks as she follows Andrea out to the floor.
“I’m helping you, Lena. If we get Kara jealous, she’ll stop acting like such a Girl Scout and finally make a move,” Andrea says, waving off Lena’s concern.
Lena stops walking and starts swaying at Andrea’s insistence, matching her moves seamlessly. It feels just like boarding school, with Andrea leading Lena by the hips. “I don’t know, Drea. You’ve been interfering all week and she hasn’t said so much as a peep. I don’t think she has feelings for me.”
“Joder, las dos son tan despistadas. She will! She has been jealous all week! We just have to step up our game,” Andrea exclaims in exasperation, turning Lena so that the brunettes back rests against her chest.
“Look at her, she’s glaring right at us! When the song changes, I’ll grab your ass and this will all be over,” Andrea laughs.
“Andrea! This is ridiculous. What does Sam think about this whole situation; shouldn’t you be worried about what she’ll say?”
“What’s between Samantha and I is none of your concern, Corazón. But if you must know, she told me, and I quote, “I hope it works so Kara can grow a pair—“
“Hey!”
“—I’m sure she won’t be bothered by what means I use to help you both along.”
“You know what? Fine, whatever. When it doesn’t work I don’t ever want to talk about this to either of you ever again.” Lena mutters, thoroughly embarrassed and ready to call a quits to their plan.
“I reserve the right to tease you both when it does,” Andrea replies, turning Lena around at the song change and moving one hand to grasp Lena at the ass.
“Kara’s coming; I told you this would work! Play cool,” Andrea says.
As Kara closes the final distance, she reaches a hand out to Lena, touching her on the shoulder, intent to end whatever this is between her and Andrea.
“Lee, mind if I cut in,” Kara asks sharply. Lena gives Andrea a glance, dismissing her wordlessly as she accepts Kara’s hand.
“I’m gonna step outside to take a call. Lena, call me later if you want to…talk,” Andrea imparts with a sly smile before moving to exit the bar. Kara glares daggers at Andrea’s retreating form.
“Hi, darling. How are you?” Lena asks, watching Kara’s face transform from a scowl to a happy grin.
“Better now that you’re with me,” Kara says pulling Lena closer by the waist. That Aldebaran rum may have given her a bit of confidence, but she won’t do anything Lena doesn’t want. “Is this okay?”
“Of course, darling. Are you okay; you looked a bit frazzled when you came over.” Lena wraps her arms over broad shoulders, admiring Kara’s beauty as they slowly grow closer to one another.
“Yes, yes. I was just a bit nervous, I guess.” Kara ducks her head at the admission, blushing.
Nervous? Odd. Kara may not be as outwardly imposing as Supergirl, but she is hardly nervous since her reveal to the world as being Supergirl. The synergy of Kara Zor-El encompasses both Kara Dancers and Supergirl, but without the necessity to hide behind one mask or the other.
Lena can’t hide the surprise in her voice, “What do you have to be nervous about?”
“I just—I want to be Andrea—“
“You want to be Andrea?!”
It seems the rum has also compromised her ability to articulate clearly.
“No, wait, that’s not what I meant. I want to be in her place with you. I’ve been…jealous. She’s interrupted our time together everyday and just now she was…” Kara bites her lip, turning her head to look away.
Lena bends to the side, trying but failing to catch Kara’s gaze.
“She was what, Kara. I can’t help you if you don’t talk to me.” Kara is jealous. It almost seems too good to be true. Maybe Andrea’s plan will work after all.
Kara lifts her head, piercing blue eyes gazing into Lena’s own. “She was touching you! Holding you! I don’t want her to do that, Lena. I want, I want to do that.” Kara states with conviction, voice hardening determinately.
Kara thinks she’s overstepped when Lenas arms loosen from around her neck. She prepares to apologize, heart breaking at the thought of Lena turning her down. That is, until Lena reaches for her hands, dragging them from their purchase on her hips to rest just above her ass.
“You want to hold me like this?” Lena whispers, head tilted and pupils dilating. “You can Kara, you can touch me however you want.”
The blonde moves her hands down tentatively, looking for any signs of unease. “When she doesn’t find any, she palms at Lena’s ass, pulling her forward and holding tight. “This okay?”
“Perfect, darling; keep going.” Lena noses at Kara’s neck, interested to see how far this will go.
Kara starts to dance, leading Lena along to the thumping beat. She feels a new kind of thrill, so unlike the one she gets from being Supergirl. There is a hot, pulsating feeling running through her veins.
The superhero tilts her head down to lay a kiss on Lena’s temple. “This okay,” she asks, internally begging for Lena to want more.
“Keep going.”
Kara starts to lay soft kisses down the side of Lena’s face, hands still kneading her supple behind. When she reaches the brunettes jaw, she noses her way along the skin back up to her ear. She lays one more kiss on the shell of her ear before she whispers, “More?”
“More.” Lena says, nearly panting under Kara’s ministration.
The blonde drops her face to the crook of the shorter woman’s neck, placing a kiss on each pulse point before laying a third on the beauty mark at the center of Lena’s throat.
Lena reaches up, one hand tangling in the hair at the base of Kara’s neck, while the other holds firmly to a bulging bicep. “Keep going, darling,” Lena rasps.
Tentatively, Kara laves her tongue against the mark. At the sound of Lena’s quiet moan, Kara sucks at the mark. When she pulls away, there is a blossoming patch of red over the skin.
Kara touches her forehead lightly to Lena’s, gazing into verdant eyes.
“Can I kiss you?” Kara implores, cerulean eyes glassy and wanting.
“Please,” Lena supplicates, leaning forward ever so slightly.
Without further ado, the blonde presses her mouth firmly to the red painted lips in front of her. It isn’t long before the brunettes tongue runs across her lips seeking entrance into her mouth.
*********************************************
“Did it work?”
“Of course it did, Tesoro.” Andrea answers into the phone.
“Fucking finally. I’ll call Lena in the morning and get all the dirty details. Now that that’s taken care of, when are you gonna come see me?” Sam implores.
“I thought you were coming here next weekend?”
“ I am, but Ruby’s at summer camp for the rest of the week. I thought you could come spend some time here in Metropolis before we fly to National City.”
“Well, what’s in it for me,” Andrea flirts, already looking for red eye flights out east.
“You, me, an empty apartment, and all the time in the world to do whatever we please.”
“Promise me we can do that thing I like and I’ll be there in the morning.” Andrea knows she’s pushing her luck, but there’s nothing sweeter than a little pain with pleasure.
“Oh, baby, we can do whatever you want—” Samantha starts, voice sickly sweet, “—if you get here before dawn,” she finishes, voice low and demanding.
“Done.”

Lena shivers in the cold air of the early morning as she carefully and quietly climbs off her bicycle and rests it against a nearby fence. She nervously glances around, watching and listening for any signs of them whilst moving though the eerily quiet streets of National City.
What was once a thriving hub of activity is now almost decimated, the streets littered with abandoned vehicles and dried pools of blood that cause bile to rise upwards to scald the back of Lena’s throat.
Smoke billows somewhere in the distance, yelling and gunshots no doubt drawing them towards the outskirts. A small blessing from above for Lena, perhaps, that some of those who had survived are still armed with reckless stupidity.
Maybe it will give her a chance to reacquaint herself with her beloved city without interruption.
Lord only knows how she’d deal with coming face to face with one of those things.
This is the first time that she has ventured outside since all of this began and, whilst a small part of her is filled with fear and regret, Lena knows that there was no other option unless she wished for she and her mother to starve to death. Lillian had told her it would be suicide to leave the house, but with a rumbling stomach and vision that blurs all too often, Lena had ignored her.
It’s not like Lillian actually seemed to care when Lena left, anyway, not when she still has booze to keep her company as she mourns the apparent loss of her son.
Scotch long finished, the vast wine cellar, despite being raised by her mother all too often, still has a few weeks worth of alcohol tucked away for Lillian to turn to. Lena won’t do that, she won’t give in and accept the death that everyone else seemed to think was inevitable.
At least, not without a fight.
Lionel, her father, hasn’t been seen since the day all of this began. He had left for work as usual in the morning, never to return whilst his daughter had nightmares of what he could so easily have been turned into since then.
A shiver crawls up her spine, unease tickling at the nape of her neck.
Lena never thought the Luthor family could ever be worse than they already are, but now, she accepts that her very worst nightmare could easily come true.
She was only supposed to be back here for a few weeks during the summer break before her senior year at MIT, but it seems Lena will be stuck here until a miracle happens, or maybe she just won’t survive at all as food supplies dwindle and the awful creatures take over the whole world.
Lena attempts to shake that thought from her head.
She has to focus.
She has to be smart, and brave, and quiet, especially as she heads towards the Walmart on the corner.
The virus had spread quickly enough that Lena knows there must be at least something left on the shelves, some non-perishables that hopefully haven’t been raised by the other survivors who haven’t made it out of the city. Anything, really, would be much better than nothing.
Lena swallows hard, convinced that one of those creatures must be able to hear her pounding heart, that one of them will appear from nowhere and attack her when she is least expecting it. She sucks in a deep breath and blows it outwards, grabbing her father’s gun from the back pocket of her worn jeans—the ones Lillian despises the most—and grips it tightly in her clammy palm.
Head, she reminds herself. That’s what always happens on television, right? Aim for the head.
She moves onwards, rolling her neck and begging her nerves to turn into steel, but Lena freezes when she spots a familiar red truck in the parking lot of the grocery store.
Seeing the truck and picturing the owner’s handsome face causes a lump to rise in her throat. Whilst she and her mother were hiding, Lena always prayed that her college friends had made it out of here safely, but the track tells her that one of them—and the most important one of all—most likely hasn’t.
That’s one of the worst parts of all this.
Not knowing who is, and who isn’t, alive and well in this new way of life.
She and Kara hadn’t quite gotten around to becoming an official couple and Lena is devastated to realize that she was wrong last semester; that they didn’t have all the time in the world to get there, after all. Tears scald the corners of her eyes, but Lena doesn’t allow them to fall—refuses to let herself react and believe that Kara is truly gone.
A world without Sunshine Danvers, and her ridiculous old truck, is one that Lena wants no part of.
Lena forces herself to walk onwards until she finds an empty frame where a large window used to be, carefully avoiding shards of broken glass as she steps inside Walmart. It’s eerily quiet inside the large store, but Lena’s pulse thunders in her ears and the hairs on the nape of her neck stand erect, her gut telling her that she isn’t alone.
Her heart batters her ribs as she edges further into the store and further away from the broken window; from Lena’s nearest escape route.
Lena’s hand tightens around the gun, prepared to shoot at a seconds notice as she heads further inside.
It’s as cold inside as it is outside, her breath fogging outwards in front of her face in small clouds, and she wonders if hypothermia will catch up with them all before the creatures do. Sure, their house is intact, but there’s no heating and only so many books and notepads that can be burned in a warm fire. Perhaps that is still much better than being bitten and turned into one of those things, though.
She doubts Lillian, without so much alcohol in her system these days, will even notice that the cold is ready to take her until it is already too late.
Lena has no idea what she will do then.
“Jesus fucking Christ!
She freezes on the spot, the hushed cursing soon followed by the squeaking of a shoe, and hope soars and blooms within Lena’s chest before the sudden fear could even have a chance to take hold.
Lena knows that voice.
Lena has spent three years living with that voice and telling it to shut the hell up at two in the morning whilst her headboard thumped loudly against their shared wall.
She wants to call out, but it'd be far too risky if there are any of those things nearby, so instead, Lena quietly follows the voice towards the canned food section. The shelves are bare, some of them hanging on their hinges, and Lena rolls her eyes when she only catches a glimpse of her friend disappearing around the end of the aisle. Quickly, but carefully, Lena follows after her, but she halts when she turns the corner to find a gun only inches from her forehead.
“Lena,” is all Andrea breathes out before she pulls her into a bone crushing hug. “You scared the crap out of me, I thought you were one of them!”
Andrea pulls back and holds Lena by the shoulders as they study each other.
Lena briefly wonders if she looks as tired as Andrea does, but honestly, she couldn't care less at this point, not now that she has confirmation that one of her loved ones is alive and relatively well.
“I…. I saw Kara’s truck,” Lena whispers, terrified of how Andrea will respond.
“She’s here, she’s okay,” Andrea nods, offering an exhausted smile as the tightness in Lena’s chest loosens, “but, Lena, we… we thought you were dead.”
“Only on the inside,” Lena weakly jokes. “Lillian and I are the only ones left and…”
She trails off when there’s movement behind them, spinning on her heel to meet the pretty blue eyes that she has been seeing every night in her dreams.
“Kara….”
“You’ve been with Lillian this whole time?”
Lena watches as Kara’s throat bobs with a thick swallow, the air between them charged and their intense eye contact only briefly breaking when Sam joins them. Lena doesn’t at all miss the way Sam stands impossibly close to Andrea, her hand resting just a little too low on Andrea’s spine for their relationship to still be platonic, but now isn’t the time to question it.
That time will come once they are all no longer out in the open, once they are safe and have a chance to speak without the fear of interruption from the creatures who wish to tear them apart from limb to limb.
“I… yes,” Lena nods, her hands trembling as Kara reaches out to grasp them. “I didn’t know what to do and it’s been so long, I—”
Warm, slightly chapped lips capturing her own cuts Lena off mid sentence, her body automatically sinking into Kara’s embrace as strong arms wrap around her and hold Lena tight. For a moment, one single, glorious moment, the world isn’t falling apart around their ears, relief and fondness flooding through Lena and warming her from the tips of her toes to the very top of her head.
“Um,” Sam awkwardly clears her throat, “I’m not sure that this is the time for—”
“Keep it in your pants for now, huh?” Andrea interrupts with a scowl, “I’m sure you can get reacquainted once we’re not walker-bait and miles from anywhere safe.”
Lena frowns and glances between them all.
“Where have you been staying?”
“We’ve been moving around,” Kara murmurs, “but mostly in the truck. The roads are either blocked or too dangerous to go anywhere else, we couldn’t even get to your place when we tried to.” She glances over her shoulder when there’s a scuffling sound from the far corner of the store, “we should go. We’ve been here too long and they always seem to find us if we don’t keep moving.”
Pretty blue eyes land back on Lena one more, “and you’re coming with us because I’m not letting you out of my sight ever again.”
Lena, despite everything—their dire situation—blushes when a calloused hand wraps around her own.
“Why don’t you come back to the mansion?” Lena shrugs, “Lillian barely knows what planet she’s on these days and there’s more than enough room for you to avoid her if you want to. It’s safe there, at least for now, I promise you.” She smiles weakly, “less populated.”
Kara glances towards Sam and Andrea with a small smile, both she and Lena watching as Sam kisses Andrea’s forehead.
“See, baby? I told you it could only get better.”

This chapter fought me quite a bit, but we're getting closer to when Lena finally caves and just kisses Kara senseless. She's almost there. She's just being stubborn. Kara, of course, is waiting on Lena's lead.
oh, and I guess other plot things are happening.
EXCERPT:
Lena grudgingly goes with Kara to the DEO meeting room using her portal. As the meeting drones on, she learns how utterly annoying and highly inefficient the DEO's meetings are. Alex presides with J’onn as advisor while Brainy gives the run down of what they currently know. Lena taps her pen against her notebook, her eyes narrowed at Brainy’s report of the last few days.
Specifically the dinosaur attacks.
“So,” Lena interjects, “You’re saying that an unknown individual is turning animatronics into living creatures?” She can’t help the incredulity in her voice.
“Yes, indeed that is exactly what I am saying,” Brainy concurs. He tilts his head to study Lena, thoughtfully. “Has your Ireland escapades provided you with the necessary knowledge to utilize your magical ability?”
“Yes.” If she’s being honest, not really, but between her mother’s grimoire, her newly regained memories, and maybe consulting with Florence, she’s sure she’ll find her footing soon. But no way in hell is she saying that out loud to anyone.
“Perhaps you’d like to review the remains? If magic is being used, you should be able to detect it.”
Lena shrugs. "Sure. Tomorrow perhaps." She's far too tired today.
Sam leans forward, her elbows on the table. “Oh my god, yes, please, I can punch it out, but honestly, that doesn’t help stop the dude. Where is he getting all these animatronics anyway?”
J’onn sighs. “I’ve been talking with my networks, and some of them seem to be from the grey market. It would be easier to track had it gone through black market channels. We have more contacts in those.”
“Grey market?” Kara asks. She is wearing the Supergirl suit Lena made her and stands next to Lena’s chair, her injured arm in a sling.
Lena has to admit the pants outfit looks fantastic on her, especially the way it hugs her muscles. No one needs to know how much she appreciates the look, and how half her brain is narrowed in on the movement of Kara’s muscles rather than listening. Nor does anyone need to know how she tailored this outfit specifically to bring out the best of Kara's assets, while still giving her the pants she so needed.
“Grey market is legal items being sold or bartered from one individual to another, where neither hold a selling license,” Brainy defines. “Common in low income areas and among the houseless.”
“Oh. So okay, do you have any other leads?” She frowns. Her uninjured hand hooks her thumb on her belt, and heavens, does that make her look even hotter.

A Pleasant Ruse
Fandom: Supergirl
Characters: Kara Danvers, Lena Luthor, Andrea Rojas, Alex Danvers, Winn Schott
Summary: Lena runs into her ex-Andrea who wants her back. Lena panics and tells her that Kara is her girlfriend. Will Kara be willing to help Lena keep up the ruse?
Lena looked at her phone and sighed as she walked down the street. L-Corp stock was down again after Lex’s latest stunt against Superman. The Board was at each other’s throats about what to do. Normally, these things didn’t get to her, but today she just felt like curling into a little ball and hiding in the middle of nowhere.
“Sometimes I wish I could go somewhere where no one knew my name,” muttered Lena.
Normally, she would wallow in her apartment and drink the night away, but she knew she didn’t have to do that anymore, especially with Kara and her friends. She blushed when she thought of Kara. Every time she smiled, it would light up the room. She was hoping a little of that light would rub off on her today. When she called Kara an hour ago, she was happy that she was available to talk but was wondering if Lena would be able to do so at Noonan’s. She was saving seats for some of the others in their friend group. Lena would rather they be alone, but she realized that she did call Kara out of the blue without necessarily considering her current plans. Also, her curiosity was piqued. Noonan’s wasn’t normally opened passed 10 p.m. during the week. However, it was currently 10:39 p.m.
After five more minutes, she began to see the outline of Noonan’s but was surprised to see not only was the place lit up, but there were multiple cars parked down the block. As she got closer, she noticed that the place was packed. It was more crowded than the morning rush. When she got inside, Lena looked around the crowded room and smiled when she saw Kara hopping up and down waving at her from the back. She shook her head and tried to maneuver her way towards Kara.
As she got closer, she nearly stopped and blushed. Lena didn’t notice before because she could only see Kara’s face and arms when she was at the front of the restaurant, but now that she was in front of the blonde, she was surprised at what she was wearing. She had on a green short-sleeved crop top, black short shorts, and brown hiking shoes. Her hair was flowing down her back. The entire outfit highlighted Kara’s muscular form. Kara usually wore things that covered her fully. She didn’t realize that Kara had a hardcore twelve-pack abs, and toned legs and arms. She gulped when Kara hugged her tightly. She could feel the heat in her face growing. Lena had to fight to keep her arms next to her instead of caressing her abs.
“Lena, I am glad that you were able to come out!” exclaimed Kara excitedly.
“Me too,” squeaked Lena.
As they went to sit down, Kara stared at her with a frown.
“Are you ok? Your face looks a little flushed and you are panting.”
Lena tried to seem unfazed but felt like her brain was in overdrive.
She started fanning herself and shakily said, “I’m, um, fine. Yes, I am fine.”
Kara stared at her hesitantly and said, “You don’t seem so sure.”
Lena let out a nervous laugh and said, “Don’t worry. I just got winded trying to get back here. I don’t think I have ever seen this place so packed before, even during their morning rushes.”
“Oh, yeah. I forgot to mention that they are having an event here tonight. You know the author Helena Bromfield?”
Lena nodded and said, “Ah, yes! She has a bunch of popular action books.”
“Yup! That is the one. Well, she is having a book reading for her latest novel: Alana and the Lost Civilization of Atlantis at midnight tonight. She will then host a Q&A followed by a book signing. That is why a lot of the people here are in costume.”
Lena looked around and felt a little foolish. She had been so focused on seeing Kara that she didn’t notice the outfits everyone was wearing. They all looked like they were out of some archeological action movie. Lena shook her head and stared back at Kara.
“I never took you as one that was into cosplaying. You look very good as Alana.”
Lena felt her face flushed again and looked down.
Good doesn’t begin to describe it. She looks sexy as hell.
Lena had to slowly breathe in and out to try to control her racing heart. Lena had secretly been a fan of Bromfield’s work. Her mother always disapproved of sci-fi and fantasy. Her thoughts were living in reality was more important than make-believe. However, the books offered her a brief escape from all the trauma of that household, mostly done by Lex. She would imagine going on an adventure with the Great Alana as she explored distant worlds and planets. She recently had been fantasizing about Kara as Alana and whisking her off on an amazing adventure. The thought caused her to blush harder.
Can’t believe I get to live out part of my fantasy!
Kara chuckled while rubbing the back of her neck and said, “Thanks! I wasn’t sure if I could pull this off.”
Lena stared at her dumbfounded.
She thinks she couldn’t pull it off! She looks ten times better than the initial character description for Alana. I am surprised that guys and girls aren’t flocking to her now!
Lena cleared her throat and said, “You pull off the look amazingly. I’m surprised the other people cosplaying as Alana don’t look at you with envy.”
Kara blushed while laughing.
“You are too kind.”
They looked at each other shyly for a moment before Lena asked, “If the book reading doesn’t start until midnight, why are people here so early?”
“Good seating. Alex made me promise to get here at 9 to save seating for her and Winn since they wouldn’t be able to get here until after 11. I got here at 10, and I had to fight people in order to get this booth since it was so packed.”
Lena chuckled which caused Kara to frown.
“What’s so funny?” pouted Kara.
“I didn’t mean to laugh. It is just that I wished I had gotten here sooner to see you try to defend your territory.”
Kara chuckled and said, “It didn’t get nearly as dramatic as that. I just gave a very stern look until they backed off.”
Lena raised an eyebrow and said coyly, “Really? A stern look?”

Old Friends
Paring: Alex Danvers/Kelly Olsen, Kara Danvers/Lena Luthor, Samantha Arias/Andrea Rojas, mentioned Alex Danvers/Samantha Arias
Words count: 3,748
Read on AO3
It has been a long time since Alex last saw Samantha Arias.
That any of the Super Friends - she already told Kara this was a stupid name - saw her, really.
Right after Sam moved to Metropolis, Alex and her would still talk, send texts to check on each other, until they naturally subsided to the point where they were now. They hadn’t talked for years, although Alex liked Sam’s Instagram posts when she saw them. In all honesty, Alex talked more with Ruby than with her mother because the girl posted funny things in her stories and Alex replied to them often. She also congratulated Ruby every time the teenager posted about her soccer games, but that was it.
That’s why Alex was sitting at the kitchen table looking over at the envelope in her hands with a frown clear on her face. And that’s how Kelly found her when she walked out of their room wearing her gym clothes and aiming for the fridge so she could grab her water bottle. She took a second glance at her fiancée, though, and changed her path.
Kelly stopped behind Alex and gently put her hands on her shoulders, soothing her hands down to her elbows and back up again. Alex sighed at the touch and raised her fingers to touch the back of one of Kelly’s hands, smiling gladly to herself when her skin alight with the simple touch. Kelly smiled too when she felt the older woman relaxing against the chair, then she kissed the top of Alex’s head and asked quietly: “Will you tell me about her?”
Alex threw her head back to look up at Kelly, her eyes wide and mouth slightly agape in surprise, but she was only met with soft eyes and a soft smile. “What?”
“Her,” Kelly pointed at the envelope in Alex’s hand and the other woman followed her finger, reading the name written there for the hundredth time since she sat there to start sending their wedding invitations. Samantha Arias and family, written in the fancy cursive they had chosen. “You’ve been changing your mind about inviting her. I got curious, I’m not going to lie.” Alex bit her bottom lip, unsure how she was supposed to answer that, but Kelly kept touching her and then rested her chin on Alex’s head. “Our guest list was in a shared document, you know? I saw her name appear and disappear a couple of times,” she explained.
“I don’t think there’s much to say,” Alex ended up mumbling after thinking about it for a second. “I don’t know if I should invite her. I don’t even know if she would attend it.”
“Well, that’s why it’s called an invitation,” Kelly teased her lightly. “We sent them the invitation and they tell us if they can attend our wedding or not.”
“Wait, what? No way,” Alex joked along, pretending to be shocked at the revelation. “I kinda told everyone Viola Davis would attend our wedding.”
Kelly laughed and jokingly slapped the redhead's arm before taking a step back to pull the chair beside Alex to sit down. “Come on, tell me.”
“Weren’t you supposed to be somewhere else?” Alex arched one eyebrow at her fiancée, looking her outfit up and down to make her meaning clear.
The woman waved a hand to dismiss the comment, but replied anyway: “I said Nia I would meet her at the gym for a workout before the pilates class, but she won’t mind.”
“Is Lena attending the pilates class as well? She keeps saying she doesn’t do exercises, but I don’t believe that.”
“Hey,” Kelly pointed her index finger at Alex, “I won’t share any juice if you don’t do it first,” she teased.
Alex laughed lowly and shook her head in that lovingly way she did to her family. She put the envelope down and crossed her arms when she turned her chair a bit to face Kelly completely, taking some precious seconds to decide if she should tell the whole story or not. It was Kelly, though, her fiancée, future wife, the mother of her children, and she trusted Kelly without an ounce of doubt - and maybe she should apologize to Kara one day for being so exasperated every time her sister said they could trust Lena.
“Sam is an old friend,” she started, choosing the easiest path to start with. “She’s a friend of Lena, actually. She moved to National City a few years ago and she was working with Lena, so we all met her. I had just broken up with Maggie when we met and Sam had a lot on her plate at the time. She has a daughter that was a pre-teen then, and there were some other weird things also that I wish I could tell you more about, but it’s not actually my story to tell.”
Kelly nodded along her explanation, understanding more and more why Samantha Arias’ name kept coming up on her wedding guest list and disappearing again. She also understood why Alex didn’t want to tell her what the “weird things” were and respected her fiancée for her loyalty to her friends. It did make her a bit more sure that she was doing the right thing when she asked Alex to marry her.
“Okay, so you two were that couple that could’ve been if you two weren’t in a strange place?” She asked just to be sure, although she was pretty certain that she read it right. Especially when Alex’s face turned a deep shade of red that made her bit her lip to hold back a laugh.
“Maybe?” Alex replied, but it sounded more like a question than an answer. She noticed it and sighed. “I suppose. I mean, we never talked about it, but we were really close before she moved back to Metropolis, and I really liked her daughter.”
“Is that the girl that commented on one of our photos?” Kelly wondered, thinking back to a time when Alex posted a photo of both of them early when they started dating - and before her fiancée decided to disappear from social media. “Something about ‘you go, Alex’?”
The redhead groaned and hid her face behind her palms for a second, but she was smiling widely when she looked back at Kelly. “Yeah, that’s Ruby.”
Kelly laughed then. “Well, I like her already,” she declared simply. “So, why are you debating with yourself if you should or should not invite them to the wedding?”
Alex gulped, definitely avoiding her eyes when she spoke again. “I thought it might be a bit weird?”
“Weird?” The psychologist repeated the word, raising her brows.
“I thought so,” Alex said almost in a defensive tone. “I thought you might be upset.”
“And instead of asking me if it was okay, you debated it with yourself for weeks, basically making yourself miserable and anxious for nothing?”
“Hey,” Alex joked, pointing a finger at the woman, “don’t analyze me.”
Kelly rolled her eyes fondly as she got up from her chair. “If they’re important to you, they should be invited to the wedding. Of course, I wouldn’t mind.” She leaned down to give Alex a quick peck on the lips.
“We haven’t spoken in a while,” Alex clarified. “But I think I would like to see them there.”
“Then sent the invitation, silly,” Kelly gently spoke, then she gave Alex another quick kiss. “I have to go now or Nia will ditch me saying I took too long to show up.”
“Okay. I will start dinner while you’re out.” Her fiancée was already halfway through the door when Alex called her again. “So, does Lena attend the pilates class or not?”
Kelly laughed when she saw the mischievous look on Alex’s face. “Yes, she does.”
“Knew it.” The other woman snapped her fingers once in front of her face before turning back her attention to the envelopes she still needed to send.
“She says she needs to work on her flexibility and stamina to keep up with Kara,” Kelly added as an afterthought while walking through the door with a loud laugh when she heard Alex groaning.
“I didn’t need to know that!” The agent shouted to her back, but Kelly was walking away already and Alex was left alone shaking her head.
[...]
“Hey, kiddo!” Alex greeted when she saw Ruby approaching her.
The girl was wearing a beautiful dress and sneakers instead of heels, but the outfit suited her so well that Alex could only smile at that. When she got closer, Alex noticed that she was also taller than she remembered the girl being and it was easy to see she got her mother’s genetics on that. She also looked older, definitely a teenager now, but her dimpled smile was still the same and Alex felt her chest warmer with the sight of her.
“Wow, there, kiddo,” Alex said when she pulled the girl into a hug. “Who told you you could outgrow me?” She joked.
Ruby laughed, but it wasn’t her who answered. “I already forbid her to get any taller than that or she will officially be taller than me and we can’t have that.”
Alex pulled away from Ruby to see that Sam had walked over behind her daughter with one of her signature soft smiles. Ruby took a step to the side to give them some space to hug as well and Alex couldn’t help but feel she did the right choice by inviting them for her wedding. She had missed them, and having them there was helping her remember how much that small little family meant to her. Even if Sam and her never got any further than a thought, she still cared about them and she was glad they could both be present at the most important day of her life.
“Is she listening to you, though?” Alex asked when she pulled away.
Mother and daughter stood side by side after that and it was shocking to see that Sam didn’t have to look down at Ruby anymore. The teen actually laughed again when she shrugged and Sam glanced at Alex again. “Oh, you try to make a teenage girl listen to you,” she replied with humor.
“Oh, don’t tell me,” Alex groaned, jumping into the joke as if they had just seen each other a week ago. “I’m trying not to get worried about it already.”
“Told you to wait a few more years to start freaking out over this.”
Alex’s entire body lighted when she felt Kelly’s hand on her small back, joining their conversation with her bright smile that never failed to make Alex a bit weak on the knees. The redhead's response was to roll her eyes good-naturedly and wrap her arm around her wife’s waist. “Kelly, those are Sam and Ruby,” she introduced them, not shocked at all when Kelly’s smile widened. “This is Kelly, who turns out became my wife like half and hour ago,” the agent joked.
They all shared a laugh while Sam reached out her hand to shake Kelly’s, all politely as a good CEO always was. “It’s nice to meet you, Kelly.”
“Same goes to you. Alex said great things about you and your daughter.”
Ruby chose to only wave at Kelly’s direction, not wanting to be as formal as her mother but also not wanting to step over by hugging the woman. “Did she tell you I’m the most amazing soccer player she ever saw?”
Alex groaned while Kelly and Sam laughed. “Okay, kiddo, I see you don’t have that teenage low self-esteem going on.”
Ruby shrugged all while smiling at them, but she suddenly turned her head and gasped when she saw something. “Mom, I see aunt Lena!”
“Go talk to her then,” Sam pointed in the direction she saw her old friend walking by talking with a girl she didn’t know. “Sorry, we got here this afternoon and didn’t have time to catch up with Lena before,” she explained as her daughter wandered off.
“That’s fine,” Alex assured her. “No one takes space in her heart like aunt Lena does.”
Sam nodded in agreement, looking back at them, but her eyes quickly glanced down when she saw a little girl running at them. She only stopped after hugging Alex’s leg and the woman’s hand immediately found its way to the girl’s golden locks as she smiled down at her.
“Esme, honey, say hi to Sam,” Kelly asked gently, earning a confused look from the girl before she understood who her mother was talking about.
“Hi,” she whispered when she noticed Sam for the first time, quickly hiding behind Alex’s legs after that, and Sam was suddenly reminded of a much younger Ruby doing the same thing with her.
Sam crouched down in front of her after picking up the body of her dress with one hand. “Hello there, sweetie. It’s nice to meet you.” Esme seemed less ashamed when the tall woman in front of her became more eyed level with her, although she still kept a safe distance that Sam respected without question. “She’s a sweet girl,” she commented while raising herself from the floor, a smile always in place.
“She is,” Alex agreed easily with that motherly smile that Sam had seen on herself many times before.
“Why don’t you two catch up a little bit while I take this little bean to dance, huh?” Kelly asked, already bending down to pick Esme up in her arms. “I will see you around,” Kelly said as a departure towards Sam before she walked away with Esme hugging her neck happily.
After she left, Alex still watched both of them for a while, until a small chuckle left her lips. “She makes it really impossible for me not to think I’m the luckiest woman alive.”
Sam noticed the loving smile, the glint in her eyes, the way the redhead seemed to shine brightly with happiness, and was instantly glad to see that Alex had achieved her dreams. She knew Alex, though, and she knew that the woman wouldn’t keep that romantic façade for long, even on her wedding day, because Alex wasn’t one to use her emotions on her sleeve. “Think I heard something similar from Lena a few weeks ago,” she joked then.
Alex scoffed and turned her head to look back at Samantha with a knowing look that made the taller woman laugh. “Seriously, I was about to lock them inside a room and throw the key away. Would have, if Kara wouldn’t easily open it.” She rolled her eyes. “Your friend took long enough to grow a pair and tell my sister how she feels.”
“I could advocate for Lena here and say that Kara could also have done that, but I’m not a lawyer, so who cares?” Sam joked with a shrug. “They’re together now, we should take that as a win.”
Alex laughed at the lame joke and shook her head. “Yeah, you say that because they didn’t kiss for the first time in front of you.”
“She doesn’t mean it,” Kara’s voice sounded right behind Alex before she stopped beside her sister with a large grin. “But I would like to argue that I had every right to do that after everything that happened.” Sam was still chuckling when the tall blonde pulled her for a hug. “Hi, Sam! Long time no see.”
“Yes, life has been keeping me busy down at Metropolis,” Sam agreed with a smile as she pulled away. “You survived the first weeks dating Lena, so I will assume you’re okay.”
Kara laughed happily at that. “More than okay, actually. But I did hear you confirmed a plus one on the invitation,” she prodded, earning an eye roll from her sister.
“Really, Kara? Be a little more subtle the next time.”
“What?” The blonde asked in an attempt to defend herself. “It was just a comment!”
Sam smiled at them both. “That’s okay. I did bring someone with me, but she saw the bar and I’m pretty sure I lost her for the night,” she laughed while looking around as if she was searching for someone.
“You have to introduce us later,” Kara said. “I’m going to find Lena, excuse me.”
“I should also try to find Lena, actually. It’s been a while since we last saw each other,” Sam declared gently. “And I don’t want to hold you here when you have so many guests to talk to.”
“I will find you and Ruby again later on,” Alex promised. “I missed the sweetest teenager I ever saw.”
Sam smiled proud of her own daughter and nodded. They parted ways shortly after, with Alex moving on to talk to another of her guests while Sam started looking into the crowd to find her daughter and friend. It didn’t take that long to do so as she saw Ruby first, then Lena standing in front of her with Kara by her side, an arm around her waist, and the same woman Sam had seen before. They were all close to the bar and she started approaching the small group with no hurry at all. She was just a few feet from them when she saw that there was someone basically hidden by Ruby’s height that she hadn’t seen before, but it made her smile widely.
“Whatever Lena tells you, do not believe what she says about the summer in junior year,” Sam made her presence known as she got close enough to be heard over the music playing in the background, making all heads turn towards her.
Her long-time friend rolled her eyes and huffed, pretending to fix her tie. “Samantha also lies about that, don’t rely on her narrative either.”
The teasing between the two made some laughs echo around the group and they shared a smile before pulling each other into a tight hug. It took them a few seconds to pull away from each other, but they did eventually and Sam found a spot beside Ruby to stand. She saw, with a knowing smirk, when Kara curled her arm around Lena again and the way her friend leaned against the blonde’s side without hesitating. She was happy Lena finally found her place.
“Sam, this is Nia,” her friend introduced the other brunette that Sam didn’t know. “Nia, this is Samantha Arias.”
“So formal,” Sam grumbled as she shook the girl’s hand. “Don’t mind her. Please, call me Sam.” After she let go of Nia’s hand, Sam placed her hand on the back of the shorter woman’s shoulders by her side. The gesture took the attention of everyone else, of course, but only Kara seemed surprised by that. “It didn’t take too long for me to introduce you two,” Sam said as she winked at Kara, who looked like a fish out of water for a moment.
“I, uh,” she stuttered as she blinked in surprise. “I know her. She’s… She’s my boss.”
Andrea scoffed from where she was sitting on the bar stool, quietly drinking her wine, and Sam looked down at her with a small smile that made her angry reply die on her lips. She rolled her eyes, mostly to herself, and looked down at her glass to keep herself from doing her usual jab, which made Sam chuckle softly at her. “Yes, I had a feeling that you two already knew each other. I mean, with CatCo and all.”
“Yeah,” Kara murmured. “And… all.”
Lena gently nudged the blonde’s side with her elbow, although she was the one that made a grimace since it felt like poking a brick wall. “I knew I was forgetting to tell you something.”
“You knew?” Kara asked.
Lena rolled her eyes lovingly at her, one of her hands raising to rest on Kara’s chest as she leaned on her side. “We can gossip later,” she teased, kissing the corner of Kara’s mouth and they all saw the hero’s entire body relax with the gesture.
“I wish that worked on you,” Sam commented in a light tone as she turned her head to look at Andrea, who just glared at her for long enough to make her laugh. She used both hands to run down the lapel of Andrea’s dark red suit and winked at her girlfriend. “But you bark and bite.”
“Oh, I don’t know, Sam,” Lena quickly joined the teasing against her longest-time friend. “She looked pretty tamed right now.”
“Shut up,” Andrea grumbled.
“She bought mom flowers once,” Ruby declared, earning a gasp from Andrea, that looked at her like she was just betrayed by the teen. “And she does travel to see mom, like, every week.”
“Okay, are you done putting your knife in my back?” Andrea scoffed.
Sam laughed at their antics and leaned down to kiss the side of Andrea’s head, before doing the same with Ruby. Andrea’s face turned a deep shade of red, which made Nia and Kara exchange a very, very, surprised look, but no one said a thing. After the initial shock, Nia cleared her throat.
“Well, Ruby, why don’t you come with me so these drunk ladies can drink alone? Alex and Kelly put a trampoline outside for Esme, but I know they were also thinking of me when they made that decision.”
Ruby giggled at the girl she met minutes ago and quickly looked at her mom to confirm it was fine to walk away. With Sam’s nod, Ruby let Nia grab her hand and easily followed her around the other guests.
“She did say we could drink now,” Lena commented with a smile before turning around to the bar to make their order.
“Drink?” They all turned in time to see Alex approaching them. “I got here at the right time, then.”
“So did I,” Kelly said as she walked over them just a second after her wife. “I need to keep an eye on you when you and Lena are drinking together, it’s a good thing Nia took Esme to the trampoline” she declared before hugging Alex’s side with a fake angry expression.
“So…” Lena called from the bar. “Wine, Kelly?”
“Of course,” the woman answered immediately, earning some laughs.
Soon the small group of women was toasting their drinks as the party around them kept going, clearly with every intention to celebrate Alex and Kelly’s love until the sun would rise again on the horizon.

Kara thought, not for the first time, that she and Andrea really shouldn't work together. They were way too different. Kara lived for her ideals and what she could offer others. Andrea was more practical, less likely to believe in the goodness of people than Kara, and her nature was more to reject emotions and ideals for common sense and realism. Kara supposed that in some ways it had been her selfishness what had attracted her at the beginning. Andrea wasn't shy or felt guilty about having desires and ambitions, unlike Kara. With her, Kara felt like she was allowed to want things for herself, and in return she hoped that her presence in Andrea's life would offer her another point of view beyond her natural pragmatism.

hello hello! love your fics!!!
🌤️ for the ask game please? :D
Thank you so much!!! ☺️ Okay these aren't exactly dialogue, but I'm in a sharing mood lol. This first one is from my Get Away Driver AU.
__________
"Thank you for helping us." The other person's voice is female, and sounds almost familiar to Kara. "We've been suspecting that Lex Corp has been experimenting on aliens for some time now, but we've never had the proof. And an extraction would have been next to impossible with all the red tape. You saved her life, Lena. She's going to be okay now, thanks to you.”
"Aren't you forgetting someone, Director Danvers?" Maggie slinks out of the driver's seat with a smirk.
"Maggie?" There's a cough and a splutter from outside the car. At the same time, Kara nearly cracks her neck straining to look out her window.
"Danvers?" Kara scrambles to get out of the car. "Alex??”
"Kara??" Her sister's shocked face, nearly as red as her hair, pops up from behind Lena. "What the hell? Luthor, you dragged my sister into this?”
Both Kara and Lena raise their voices at the same time.
"Your sister—??"
"...Luthor?"
From her perch against the driver's side door, Maggie's snickers, her amused gaze bouncing like a tennis ball between all three of them. She looks like she's ready to pull out some popcorn and watch the show.
"Now this just got more interesting.”

This 2nd one is not from a WIP so much as a post finale crack fic idea, where Lena and Andrea were friends with another girl from boarding school named Di, who comes over for a visit. This is Di:
Kara has seen soft Lena, but never loose-limbed, loose-lipped Lena who laughs more freely as she and "Di" and "Andy" recall old memories of things Kara was never a part of and never knew.
"Remember when we snuck out that one weekend and got your tramp stamp?"
"Oh, my God, don't remind me!"
"Sister Margaret almost found out because you were making this weird face the whole week!"
"I was in pain! That was my first tattoo!"
First? Just how many tattoos does Lena have? It takes everything in Kara not to use her x-ray vision to find out.
At some point during the evening, Di produces a joint with a twinkle in her eye. "You've never seen Lena high before, have you?"
Lena's eyes widen. "Oh, no. No no no."
Di's smile is sweet and all trouble as she turns to the rest of the group. "You'll love her. She's lovely when she's high."
Alex, Kelly and Nia laugh, but Lena shakes her head. "I get weird when I'm high."
"You get loose when you're high." Di points a finger at her. "And trust me, baby, you need to get loose. You're wound so tight, you're like Sister Agatha before Parents Day."
Kara interjects with a huff. "I don't think Lena should do anything she doesn't want to do."
And Kara glares at Di, a pout forming on her face. But Di ignores her and turns her big, wide eyes on Lena "Please, sweetheart. Pleeease?"
"Fine!" Lena's always been a sucker for a sweet blonde. She sighs and rolls her eyes with a laugh. "Unfair. You know I never could say no to you."
Kara thinks Di is just gonna pass Lena a joint, but instead, Di takes the joint she's been smoking out of her mouth, presses a kiss to the end of it and holds it up to Lena's face. To Kara's surprise, Lena leans forward and lets Di place the joint on her own lips.
Kara's face heats up as she watches Lena's lips wrap around the spot where Di had kissed it, and she feels distinctly uncomfortable. She wants to snatch the joint away and stamp it out with her foot.
Except she doesn't, because Lena does get progressively more relaxed the more she inhales, and it is nice to see Lena unwind, especially after the tough week she's had.
They get to talking about their teenage experiences, and even Alex and Nia and Kelly chime in. And at one point, Di asks Lena if she still has the old records they used to play, and insists that they play old 70's female rock on Lena's turntable (since when did Lena have a turntable? Kara didn't even know she had one).
Andrea pipes up. "This reminds me so much of those weekend afternoons when we used to play this in our room. You used to dance around to this song in Di’s sweater, Lena, you remember that?"
Lena’s cheeks turn bright red.
And Di jumps up. "Oh, my God, do you still have it?"
Lena rolls her eyes. "No!"
Di cackles in laughter "Liar! I'm gonna look in your closet, and if you still have it, you have to put it on!"
Andrea grins evilly. "And! You have to do it just like you used to!"
"Andy! I'm not gonna dance around in my underwear and a sweater. We're not fifteen anymore."
Kara chokes on her beer and her brain blanks out. Lena used to dance around in her underwear? Lena Luthor? Her best friend?
"Nope, that's the rules."
Lena keeps protesting, but even Alex gets in on it. "Nope, I wanna see this too, Luthor. What is this you guys are talking about?"
"I found it!" Di yells from Lena's closet. Kara is fuming that she just roots around Lena's things like she owns them.
She emerges, throwing a bulky sweater at Lena.
"This is the ugliest thing I've ever owned."
"Shut up and pay up, Lena. Put it on."
"That was Di's old sweater. Lena kept stealing it from her when we were kids, and whenever she got high, Lena would strip to her panties and dance around in that sweater."
Both Kara and Alex simultaneously choke on their drinks. "Oh my GOD!"

Principal Danvers
The heavy oak door creaks as Andrea pushes it open to reveal a dimly lit office. It smells like old books and wood polish, the large wooden door glistening in the lamplight as Andrea stares at the imposing figure settled behind it. She sucks in a deep breath and allows herself an extra moment to slip into the character she has been desperate to play; the naughty schoolgirl summoned here to be disciplined for her latest prank.
Principal Danvers is not one to let naughty behavior go unpunished and, as blue eyes glare in her direction, Andrea struggles to believe that this is still her golden retriever girlfriend.
“Come in and close the door, girl,” Kara stands from behind the desk, her tall, muscular frame casting an intimidating shadow across the office. Her hair is pulled back into a bun almost as severe as her gaze, her piercing blue eyes focusing on Andrea with such an intensity that she can’t stop the shiver that trickles down her spine.
The thought of being at her mercy, even as the well tailored suit hides Kara’s defined arms, leaves her drenched with excitement.
“No, no,” Kara tsks as Andrea pulls out the chair opposite, “I don’t believe I asked you to sit down.”
Andrea blushes and swallows thickly, her hands trembling as she pushes the chair back into place. She clasps them together in front of her waist, attempting to be demure as the faux headmistress stares her down.
“I assume you know why you are here, Miss Rojas.”
“Yes, Ma’am,” Andrea croaks, her tongue threatening to stick to the roof of her suddenly dry mouth. “I was caught sneaking out of the dormitory last night after lights out.”
“Do you understand how much trouble you have caused?” Kara asks, her voice deep and raspy as she walks around the desk to close the gap between them. “It is my duty to ensure you are safe whilst in my care, and it is I who would have been held responsible if something had happened to you.”
Her lips curl into a cruel smirk, “which means it is also I who must decide the repercussions for such foolish behavior.”

kara wakes from the sound of a key turning. she hears the door swing open with a mild creak before heeled boots make their way across her wooden floorboards until they stop in front of her bedroom door.
then, footsteps approach the bed, the heeled boot muted by the rug underneath the bedframe.
all the while, kara doesn't move or make a sound, her breathing even as her hands continue to rest on her stomach. then, there's a dip on the mattress when someone sits on the edge.
she doesn't dare open her eyes or change her breathing, keeping her body as relaxed as possible. she almost turns her head to the touch when she feels the back of a hand gently touch her cheek.
"i know you're awake."
kara doesn't move, doesn't give herself away, even as she fights her body's response to squirm when the same back of the hand glides down the column of her neck before there's pressure on top of her chest just above her heart.
"you're a terrible liar," the voice intones. "your heart is beating quickly because you know you just got caught."
still, kara doesn't move. not even when she feels the person beside her dip forward, their chest lightly grazing kara's arm as they lean closer until their nose practically touch.
"if you don't open your eyes right now, i'm going back home."
it's then that kara peeks out of one eye to find andrea pulling back slightly, her hair swaying slightly as she does so. there's a smug smirk on andrea's face so kara shuts her eye.
"stop rolling your eyes."
kara opens both eyes now and makes a face towards andrea who has only adjusted herself enough so that her arms cage kara on either side of her. "who's the one with x-ray vision here, huh?" she asks, her voice slightly gritty with sleep.
andrea's smirk widens. "i don't need x-ray vision to see you're so predictable."
kara scoffs even as she releases her hands from their resting place on her stomach and quickly places them around andrea's waist.
"you're late," she says instead.
andrea sighs, her head dipping slightly. "i know, i'm sorry. the meeting about the updates ran late."
"s'alright. i understand. you hungry? want me to run you a bath?"
above her, andrea shakes her head before fully dropping her head until their lips kiss each other. neither of them push for anything deeper, glad to simply connect after a long day.
"i'm fine. i'll take a quick shower and come to bed."
she offers andrea a smile, pulling her head up so that their lips press onto each other once more. meanwhile her right hand sneaks to the buttons of andrea's blouse and uses superspeed to unbutton each one until andrea's top is partially open to her satin black bra and the slivers of beautiful skin of her chest and abdomen.
andrea quirks a brow. but kara just shrugs.
"i'm just helping things along."
andrea shakes her head even as she pushes to give kara another kiss. they untangle and kara watches as andrea heads to the bathroom where she hears the rush of water from the tub's spout before it transforms to the shower spray. she smiles to herself when she hears andrea begin to hum as she showers, her eyes drifting closed to the sound of it.
when kara's just about lulled back to sleep, the bed dips behind her before an arm settles over her waist. the corner of her lips tug up when she feels a soft press of lips on her neck as andrea settles behind her, their bodies molding onto one another.

Story idea Andrea x Kara
So Andrea and kara start to date after Andrea see's Lena's true colors with her trying to shoot Supergirl out of the sky.
Andrea is still Acreta but not evil and kara is Supergirl but neither knows.
months Acreta and Supergirl teams up and Supergirl tells Acreta she plans to propose and shows her a engagement ring with a black diamond.
when kara proposes to andrea, Andrea recognises the ring and that kara is Supergirl.
This is a one shot i intend to write unless someone wants to make it a story.

Supergirl angels and demons au.
Karamel. Kara’s one of the preeminent angels to ever be created. Which becomes a wee bit of a problem when she falls for Satan’s favourite son Mon El.
Dansen. Alex and Kelly are a formidable battle couple who have won every war they’ve ever fought. And they plan to keep winning. Forever.
Brainia. Brainy is a patron angel of outcasts. Nia is a patron angel of youths. They end up falling for each other when their numerous assignments inevitably intersect.
James x Lucy. They’re also a formidable battle couple second only to Alex and Kelly. However they also moonlight as guardian angels to those who need them.
Winn x Samantha. Winn is a patron angel of intelligence. Samantha is a demon who has forcibly risen herself and has sought out Winn’s help with purification.
Andrea x William. Andrea is a recently risen demon who’s looking to redeem herself. Luckily for her William the Scribe is more than willing to help.
Lena. Chaos demon. Too unpredictable to be unleashed upon the world. So Rhea keeps her under lock in a cage a billion miles below hell.
Morgan. A lesser known purgatory demon. Playing both sides against each other so he always end up better off than before. And he’s incredibly good at it.
J’onn. God. The benevolent kind. Sometimes a little too benevolent. Mostly when it comes to war. Luckily for him though. Alex will always have his back.
Rhea. Satan. Rules hell with an iron fist. So Samantha and Andrea’s Risings are a MASSIVE blow to her ego. And Mon El’s Rising may prove her complete undoing.

This chapter gave me trouble, but I think I finally got its pacing right. It has a lot of moving parts.
Also, writing Lillian and Lena's interaction was incredibly fun. The snark the two have is legendary.
EXCERPT:
The day starts innocently enough.
Kara insists on making Lena shaped pancakes in honor of her first day back to the office. The smell wafts around her, and Lena can’t help but watch Kara cook. It’s one of the few things she can cook well, outside of one noodle dish, and sometimes a baked good. Lena learned the hard way to distrust most of Kara’s cooking concoctions, but the pancakes are always sublime.
“So,” Kara smiles at her, “how about we do the date tomorrow night? I have something special planned.”
“Special?” Lena leans against the counter and raises an eyebrow. “And what’s that?”
“Not telling.” Kara’s smile blooms into a full grin, and she gives Lena a sloppy wink. “This will be a surprise.”
Lena sighs. “All right. What should I wear though?” Most of her clothes are still in her penthouse, so she’ll have to stop by there to get ready. Hopefully Sam will be there, and maybe she can send Andrea off with Ruby to go hang out elsewhere.
Kara taps the spatula against the pan. “Dress up but wear comfortable shoes.”
“Dress up as in fancy gala or business casual?” That’s a rather wide range to begin with but she needs more precision here.
“Oh, I like all your red clothes. Or that purple suit. Honestly, anything will look amazing on you.” Kara leans over to lightly kiss Lena’s nose.
That sort of helps? Lena blushes and looks toward the windows. Most of her red clothes are dresses or skirts, which is quite different from the pants suit. “Is pants better than a dress for this?”
Kara only smiles and flips the last of the flower-shaped pancakes onto a plate. Which is not an answer at all. “Ready to eat?” she says instead.
