So thus far my opinion about my romances in the Dragon Age series

DAO: Aeducan X Warden Alistair - Love at first sight, soulmates and all that. young and epic. always mentioning and boosting each other, domestic bliss.

DA2: Hawke X Varric - "varric isn't a romanc-" WELL BIOWARE IS WRONG their love could burn the city to the ground. the hanged man patrons have a bet about the status of their relationship bc "well hawke is a big flirt they could be very close friends- oh they're kissing nvm"

DAI: Trevelyan X Cullen - Office romance vibes, longing glances, awkward meets awkward

Finished the couples that I have for the current roster of dragon age games. Will add two more after I finally get my hands on VG. (Also decided to make a non angsty version of Anders and hawke lol)

Finally finished (more or less) the couples for my dragon age playthroughs. May tinker with them later but for now- *jazz hands* Kione De Riva with her short king and Jin Mercar with his girl boss.

Veilguard spoilers, I suppose. If your HoF was the Queen of Ferelden and/or your Hawke romanced Anders, maybe the below will help you with the recent news. IDK. It's my own personal head canon copium.

So, with the news that Veilguard will not be taking DAO and DA2 into account, its up to us, unfortunately, to fill in the blanks. I feel especially bad for the people who romanced Morrigan. If she is a big part of the game how are they going to avoid the potential elephants in the room?

Anywho, my personal head canon for my HoF who is also the Queen is that she is still off searching a cure for the blight. Morrigan and Kieran secretly gifted her and Alistair a matching set of eluvians so the couple can visit each other often. One is kept in a discrete place in the palace and the other is relatively travel size so the HoF can take it with her.

My Hawke is living in the middle of nowhere taking care of her possessed mage boyfriend. She took the message to Weishaupt and left. The living sibling frequently visits.

Please feel free to adopt these head canons for your own wardens and Hawkes if the criteria fits. What head canons are you using for your characters that don't match? Please post, share, and tag for other people who may have simular worldstates as yours and need some sort of story to carry on into Veilguard.
