Devan Valerius is a recently-turned vampire still adapting to his new life while he attends a college for supernatural youth. Despite living solely amongst other supernatural creatures, he still keeps the truth of what he is from his dorm mate, though doing so proves to be a lot more difficult than anticipated…

As he matures, he grows his hair out and leans more into the 'Vampire aesthetic', having spent time in a coven of vampires with the intention of learning more about himself and what he's capable of.

Feliva, the capital world of an intergalactic empire, has become the target of an unknown enemy with unimaginable power. To overcome this threat, they must join forces with the neighbouring empire of Jorrimm, and offer their Prince to wed his Jorrimmian counterpart to secure their political and strategic union.

Despite their initial differences, together the Princes build a legacy to span millennia…

Desgazah is the lone surviving offspring of King Anuzah and Queen Calani and is the crown prince of the planet Feliva and its interplanetary empire.

Feliva is a hot planet with biomes ranging from coastal tropics through to arid desert in the interior of the single supercontinent. Due to the consistently warm temperatures and massive ocean to build momentum, extreme storms happen with relative frequency, and hurricanes in particular are something the people of Feliva are used to dealing with.

All civilisation on Feliva is located around the coastline and rivers as the interior is entirely inhospitable.

The Species

Felivians are a species adapted for the heat and weather of their homeworld, wasting very little water; they rarely sweat, and their urine is highly concentrated. However, even they struggle to cope with the heat of midday, and will resort to sleeping through the hottest hours of the day. This instinct is so deeply ingrained that they will still sleep for a few hours during the middle of the day even if they aren’t on Feliva.

They have a third eyelid, translucent enough to see through, which slides over to protect their eyes from sandstorms. This can also be seen briefly when they blink, and if their outer eyelids open slightly as they sleep.

Every Felivian is able to transform their hands into blackened claws in moments of high emotion or distress. Desgazah is a unique case amongst his people, able to transform his hands at will, in addition to his teeth turning into sharpened, elongated fangs.

Felivians are also universal carriers, able to successfully carry the hybrid offspring between themselves and most other species. This is seldom done, however, until the marriage between Prince Desgazah and the Alulti Prince, Galanon, when the two species form a political union.

Hair colour is also significant amongst Felivians; while the general population ranges from black, through brown, to blonde, the royal bloodline—which has bled into some of the nobility—has naturally vivid blue hair. Legend states that this colour is a signifier of Zah’s own bloodline—the Sun God. While the naming tradition of the firstborn blue-haired son having his name included in their own is still maintained in the royal family (Anuzah, Desgazah, Valuzah), few still believe that they have godly ancestry.
