GONTA GOKUHARA

Despite Gonta being bigger than you, you still wanted to take care of him. When he was hungry, you'd make him something to eat. "Woah! Gonta thanks Y/N very much!" He said whenever you would set food down in front of him. After a while, you started doing more for him, wiping his face if he got his face messy, offering to do his laundry, and it started to confuse him. "Why Y/N taking care of Gonta?" He would question when you did a little something more for him, then you mumbled out a response something about loving to take care of him he didn't question you anymore letting you take care of him and also enjoying it.

Kiibo (K1-B0)

There wasn't much you could do for him to take care of him except let him know when he should probably go to Miu for a checkup because his antenna was broke or things like he was responding slower anything that could help him in the long run.

KAITO MOMOTA

Kaito wasn't all that happy when you would try to take care of him, making him feel belittled by you. Every time, you did little things for him to take care of him, bandaging any wounds he had gotten, cooking him food, or attempting to brush his hair for him. But he knew you being the ultimate caregiver you were, you'd never stop eventually getting used to everything you did for him.

KOKICHI OUMA

Kokichi was surprised whenever you'd take care of him not having very many people care for him in any way eventually teasing you about it or making unearthly demands "Hey Y/N~ You should kill Miu for me~ Nishishi!~" He'd giggle out. You never liked it when he joked about trying to get you to kill someone for him, saying it'd make him feel better.

KOREKIYO SHINGUJI

Korekiyo wasn't really surprised when you would take care of him knowing your Ultimate didn't make it that hard to figure out, especially when you'd take care of others but you seemed to mainly take care of him the most doing extensive things for him cleaning up his study, or brushing his long hair for him eventually he started to get used to it enjoying when you'd take care of him.

RANTARO AMAMI

Rantaro, being the ultimate adventurer, would get hurt quite a lot, and whenever he did, you would tend to the wounds careful not to hurt him pressing a kiss to the bandaged wound Rantaro enjoyed when you cared for him it made him feel quite loved and he loved your cooking too.

RYOMA HOSHI

Ryoma, being short, immediately thought you only took care of him because of his small stature getting irritated when you'd care for him, but eventually, he got used to it he still didn't enjoy being cared for but he wasn't going to argue with you knowing it'd only make you upset in the end.

SHUICHI SAIHARA

Shuichi was quite shy about it, but never expressing it, letting you take care of him, he started to enjoy when you would take care of him, mumbling out soft thanks you's with a small smile.

I could imagine her comforting others even when she doesn't mean to, though. Like if she said something positive in a worrying situation and assured the others. While actually, it's just how she think, rationally. It's just so happen to be something good.

Yet, ever since she met you, she may or may not had practiced comforting someone. Just so that she won't upset you even more. Just so she could be there when you need her the most.

God, sometimes she feels that it's ridiculous how she feels this way.

But, she brushed it off.

After all, it's you.

With her--more than enough--practices, she'll stay by your side, ready to hug you or just to lend an ear to listen.

She'll feel embarrassed for herself to get this far for you, but oh why does it matter?

being so normal and regular abt modern domestic physouma . he makes sure phys takes their antidepressants every single day. he knows when theyre having a bad day , when they curl up on the bed or sofa under the weight of a bunch of blankets, head turned against the sunlight , and he's just sort of there, hovering ,never leaving them alone. quietly opens up all the windows and brings them food under the guise of having leftovers . holds them a little tighter when they sleep. and you know he kicks up a fuss if phys doesnt want to share the bed ( or couch, or wherever because ouma can sleep anywhere ) .

like whatever . phys likes buying flowers and plants to look after because it gives them a routine and something to get out of bed for even on days when they dont feel like it. they make ouma sneeze but he'd die before he says anything about it.

theyre both bad at cooking but ouma can make a couple of basic meals and phys likes experimenting . i think phys makes breakfast and ouma makes tea/dinner and beyond that they Scavenge . phys drinks a relentless amount of tea and hot chocolate but ouma isnt allowed caffeine . neither of them like spicy food . phys likes making eggs in the morning but is finicky about texture and finds that the safest way for them to eat them is either as an omelette or hidden in something else ( ouma encourages them to keep making eggs because theyre good for you ) .

they have a strict laundry day because they both know they'd let it slip otherwise , ouma because he hates doing it and phys because they'd get distracted and forget.

phys starts working a salaried job with the professor as soon as they graduate university ( which they do at seventeen or eighteen ) and he buys them a cute little apartment in the city. ouma moves in not long after they get together ( maybe they met at hopes peak .. ? ) and they share the space . and phys watches this apartment with a nice view of osaka turns into Their Home. every time they come home from work exhausted , sensory overload with stuff sticking to their neck and shoes too tight and hair in their face , ready to throw their bag down and scream—they see him . curled up like a cat on the couch or experimenting (to detrimental effects) in the kitchenette or sometimes just waiting for them to come up and they just feel themself light up .

incompatible sleep schedules but once phys is asleep Theyre Asleep so its okay . they go to bed anywhere from 11pm-2am and ouma will go with them but not sleep for ages . combo of fucked up sleep schedule , undiagnosed insomnia and trust issues abt falling asleep in front of someone first . hes a creep and stares at them whilst they sleep bc he finds it kind of adorable and also , like , theres a person so close to him in a way that he never thought there would be , like theyre here and theyre asleep and vulnerable and they trust him and its so surreal he has to jam his fist in his mouth before he screams sometimes . hes a stick insect once hes asleep btw . phys wakes up at 7am and hes clinging to them like a koala bear.

the Big Light never get used . they have so many lamps and phys loves stringlights so much . ouma find fun and cute and creative ones with coloured lights and cute shapes and they hang them up everywhere , all over the doorways and walls, and instead of doors they have those beaded curtains that hang down because they both like how they swish and ouma loves using them to make dramatic entrances and exits .

- Kokichi has never considered himself a 'good person'. He's not even sure if 'good' or 'bad' people exist! Most people are certainly, just people.

- If good people do exist though, he'd define them as you.

- Loving him certainly proves it. Not even the purest of angels could love him as much as you seem to. Seem to. He says that as if you don't show it every day, every second that you're together. There he goes again, undermining your love for him. You've told him to trust you more, especially when you tell him how much you love him.

- Kokichi, on the other hand, struggles to show you that he loves you just as much. He can tell you he loves you, and tell himself that he's lying, so it's ok for him to say it. He can steal your kisses and rob you of your affections, and tell himself that he's using you. That he's manipulative and a liar and a terrible, terrible, terrible person.

- He's never initiated affection. He's never asked for any love. He doesn't want your love but you keep giving him your heart and pressing it gently against his and he finds both of your hearts beating in sync from within his own chest and he needs it.

- He should thank you, really. Run straight to you this very instant and fall to his knees and beg for forgiveness for being so evil and wrong and disgusting for taking advantage of your fellings like this. Return your heart with delicate, scared hands or hold on to it tighter but give you his this time.

- He won't, of course, he's too selfish for that. Big proclamations of love have never been his thing, either. Or yours. You've always preferred smalls signs of affection provided in abundance.

- Instead, when he sees you later that day, attempts his own, funky version of a hug. You both tense up a little and and a wave of fear and regret washes up his spine. As you always have, as you always will, you hug him back. His arms feel like they're in the wrong place and he doesn't know where to put his head and everything feels a little too overwhelming without you taking the lead.

- It's nice though, in a weird way. There's a strange comfort in this messed up headlock-hug amalgamation that he's initiated, and he wonders if this is why you care about him so much. The additional tightness and vigor that you're hugging back with seems to suggest so.

- He'll forget about this feeling tomorrow but he wants to get better at this, for you, his definition of good. He'll give you this piece of his heart.

Long Oumota post

I just wanted to gather my thoughts about them and somehow put into words why I love them so much and how I imagine their relationship would develop. Honestly, it's just something very self indulgent ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The thing about them that captured me first was probably the tragedy. Chapter 5 of V3 is without a doubt my favorite in the whole series. Just thinking about everything from the beginning of the chapter to the very end is driving me crazy. So much has happened, so much has been revealed. It’s so wild how they worked together for everyone's sake even though they had a very tense relationship. But still they were willing to find a common language and make compromises.

And I also can’t stop thinking about how Kokichi basically sacrifised himself for everyone, even though almost none of them would've call him their friend, and Kaito was the only one who witnessed it. He was the only one who saw a glimpse of the real Kokichi, the only one who saw his mask fall (and the one who had to put on the same mask for the plan). And Kaito was the only one who could tell about all of this to others.

Also how much they mirror each other. They’re so different. They’re the same. Momota playing the hero but not being the protagonist, Ouma playing the villain but not being the real bad guy. Momota being idealist, Ouma being cynic. Momota, who’s guided by feelings, ignoring logic, Ouma, who’s guided by logic, ignoring feelings. Momota dying feeling hope, Ouma dying feeling despair. They’re both leaders. They’re both liars. They're both taking the hit so that others won't have to. They're both refusing to ask for help.

They have enough differences to constantly compete and bring the best and the worst of each other. They have enough similarities to understand each other and exist together.

And now here’s some thoughts on how I imagine their relationship will go.

I absolutely LOVE "enemies-to-lovers" trope. But. I like the specific form of this trope. And I'm also a really big fan of slowburn. So it's more like:

Strangers-to-Enemies-to-Forced-Begrudging-Allies-to-Friends-to-Oh-No-Moment

At first first they didn't care about each other very much. But as the game progressed, their opposing ideals and strategies started to clash and eventually mutual annoyance turned into full-blown hostility. Kokichi's "make myself everyone's enemy" strategy escalated situation even further. The absolute breaking point was in Chapter 4.

In Chapter 5 at first Ouma was making preparations for a plan and then declared himself the mastermind and locked Kaito in the Hangar. I believe it was intentional and he was going to use his "unknown victim plan" even before Maki shot him. He was writing the script even before everything went to shit. After using electrobomb to deactivate cameras, he added and changed a few things but for the most part script was written before. All the while in the Hangar before Maki came he was trying to come up with ideas how to convince Kaito to cooperate with him but Momota wasn't really in the mood for it and more often just tried to break out or capture Ouma.

But after Maki left Kokichi, he, seeing the perfect opportunity for the plan, blackmailed Kaito into cooperating. Ouma forced him to drink the antidote (bacause Kaito would never have agreed to drink it if he'd just offered). Momota hated everything about this plan, but there was nothing he could do.

They worked together, but they weren't really close at this point. It's heartbreaking, but I don't think they even hugged in the Hangar. For several reasons. Firstly, obviously because of poison. Kokichi was already feeling REALLY awful from poison, crosbow bolts and blood loss, so physical contact would most likely cause him even more pain. Secondly, Kaito still had mixed feelings about Kokichi and couldn't properly process everything that happened. As for Ouma, he was trying to find balance between Momota caring enough to not abandon the plan and hating him enough to not feel too bad.

So yeah...(As a Virtial Reality AU truther i can afford to make development more slow)

Kaito absolutely hated himself for the murder, but still did his best to carry out the plan. In the end the plan failed and he had no choice but to come out of the Exisal to prevent Monokuma from killing everyone. And as I already said in one of the earlier posts he was probably still at the stage of denial when he was talking with everyone after the Class Trial. He wasn't ready to accept the idea that Ouma was their ally and was actually trying to help. Because admitting it would definetly break him.

But after they woke up from simulation, all of them actually had a chance to fix things, since they now weren't constantly under threat of death. And Kaito was hellbent on making Kokichi his friend. But of course Ouma would never make it easy. He's VERY stubborn, and the more someone tries to pull him along, the more Kokichi resists. However, after Kaito changed tactics and stoped pushing too hard, the two began to grow closer. They become actually very good friends. They have many common interests and they enjoy each other's company.

And then the "Oh shit" moment happened.

Technically Kokichi was first to catch feelings, but... he wasn't going to do anything about it. He's like "uh oh, that's pretty inconvenient. oh well." Because, first of all, he doesn't want to die and he's 100% sure Maki would definitely kill him if he'd even joke about in front of her. And also... he doesn't want to accidentaly ruin his friendship with Kaito because he really enjoys spending time with him. So he decided to keep things as they are. But Kaito didn’t.

You know, I've got a confession to make. I really like the idea of Ouma being the oblivious one. Both because it's so funny and also because I think Kokichi might just actually not consider a possibility of someone having feelings for him. So he just misses or outright ignores any hints that Kaito not-so-subtly makes. Which drives Momota insane.

His friends support him, even though most of them are not very happy about this development. Eventually Kaito decided to just confront him and tell him everything (not without Maki's advice: "For fuck's sake, just tell everything outright. I don't want to listen to your whining anymore. If he's gonna laugh at you just punch him.") And he did (tell, not punch). Kokichi just stared at him with blank expression for a full minute (he's making sure that Kaito's not lying) and then casually said "okay.” playing it off like it's not a big deal (but it is).

I think at first Suichi and Make were kinda suspicious of Kokichi and watched him very carefully to make sure that he wasn’t just using Kaito to get whatever he wanted. It didn’t help that Ouma was often jokingly saying stuff like that. But Shuichi, after careful observation began to notice very small, almost imperceptible things. Like when Kokichi sometimes “accidentally” loses to Kaito in some games after so many wins in a row, just so that Momota doesn’t get bored and instead would want to play even more. Or that Ouma actually pays attention every time Momota starts babbling about space even if he tries to look uninterested. Or how doodles of constellations started to appear in the margins of his notes or blueprints. And the fact that he for some reason become intrested in plants and proper care for them and secretly asks Kirumi and Gonta for advise. All those things are invisible to most people but the more you’re paying attention the more you start to notice. And it seems like Kaito also notices them (and is very happy about it). So even Shuichi and Maki accept this unexpected development.

I think together they could be sort of a major inspirational force for the class. And not just in romantical sence but in general. They’re fine with being the center of attention (for a while) and are not ashamed of being a little silly, so they can help less confident people from class to gather courage to do something. Like at any dance party they’re most likely to be the first to go to the dance floor. Or if they all are going to karaoke Kokichi and Kaito would be competing and singing with a little too much passion and energy. Or just be the first ones to volonteer to do something and by doing so encouraging others to join. I think it’s very cool.

Also I did those ship bingo things that I see everywhere. I didn't know where to put them so they'll just be here at the very end.

Oh yay Halloween his favorite holiday. Honestly that may or may not be true depending since so much spooky stuff and bad luck is associated with the holiday. So he's either the luckiest or unluckiest on this day.

Would love to do couples costumes with you, but already knows something is going to go wrong.

You'll be all ready and so will he and then the worst wardrobe malfunction happens. Or his costume ends up being a size too small. Just something going wrong.

But considering you still look amazing and fantastic, he considers being able to look at you to be his good luck for the day.

Kokichi

Oh he'd love spending Halloween with you. Usually it was his troupe doing small pranks or going trick or treating together. But having you matching with him sounds great.

Would absolutely suggest the classic donkey costume with you being the ass section. He's of course joking, but seeing your reaction to the idea would be priceless.

You have to know that you two are dressing up as phantom thieves. Or he'll say you both are and then he'll be in a detective outfit to mess with you (and Shuichi if he's around).

Just don't expect to not be pranked at all. He'll make it up to you, but you're bound to be pranked somehow by him.

Kuzuryu

Would absolutely object to the idea of couple's costumes. He wouldn't even really want to celebrate Halloween. He's too busy with the Yakuza to have a holiday.

If you pout enough then he'll cave but he's still very unsure about doing a couple's costume.

What would you two even be? He will not have you dressed as part of the Yakuza though. Please do not do that to him.

It very much becomes a "I don't know what the fuck I'm doing, you choose" and he'll probably act like he regrets whatever you go with. But you're happy so he supposes it's not to bad

Yeah he'll be fine with doing couple's costumes with you. Just let him look up some costumes for reference and to get ideas. If you have some ideas of your own then he's cool with listening.

Might suggest seeing if Tsumugi would mind making you both some costumes. Doesn't want to put too much work on her though, but it is an idea and he can at least ask.

Honestly really chill. Usually spends his Halloween helping his sister's with their costumes and prep as well as making sure they have plenty of candy before they leave the house.

So he's happy to wear matching costumes with you as long as you're happy going along with his sisters to trick or treat.

sometimes i wonder about how cool it would be if dice were ouma's imaginary friends. he created them because his thoughts are so contradictive that they seem like they can't come from the same person so he just went and grouped the thoughts, assigned them names and gave them personalities- and then suddenly bam you have unintentional imaginary friends now deal with it

but it's actually a good thing because it's an indirect way for him to understand himself. instead of analysing himself because it's too tiring he analyses each of their personalities and ties them to the thoughts he has

and dice could have different roles too, like the tall protective fighter who represents his willingness to fight for what he believes is right. the super bubbly twintail girl that may or may not be an age regressor responsible for his childish side. the shy one that probably has anxiety and overthinking issues. the one who represents his intrusive thoughts that makes comments ranging from mildly inappropriate to outright unthinkable which sometimes makes their way out of his mouth. the calmer and grounded dude that is extremely clever and strategic.

he'd give them names that probably have a few obscure references in them and then give them more names when he finds ones that fit and then add more of his own nicknames to the lot because why not

and maybe he likes to think they're with him when he's lonely and sitting on his bed in the mess he calls his room. they'll be right there with him accompanying him and running around and poking each other and making him smile and wrecking the room even more except they're not real so they can't make it worse if that's even possible. one of them could somehow manage to be perched on something hanging from the ceiling (the light? does it hang i don't know) and singing in a loud obnoxious voice while the calmer guys smile despite their serious and calculating exterior because they love each other they're dice they're family they're one person and his imagination

and whenever he has a thought that fits in well with one of their personalities he'd smile to himself and be like "that was you, wasn't it [nickname]"

it's like you break yourself into little pieces and give them names and make them elaborate personalities and then they're suddenly real enough to be your friends. they're really just different aspects of you and make up your personality when put together

You tapped your pencil against your desk, glancing over at the windows across the classroom. It had started to rain about mid-lecture. Your eyes flickered between the window and clock. If anything, school was the least of your worries. You glanced across the classroom, fixating on your gaze on your childhood friend, Kokichi Ouma. He lifted his head from his textbook, looking over at you. You didn't even try to hide the fact you were staring. Kokichi's face seemed to flush a bit, as the corners of his mouth lifted to warm smile.

After class, you wrapped your arms around Kokichi from behind for a hug. "Y/N!" He exclaimed, getting a bit startled. "How was class?" You asked, resting your chin over his shoulder. "It was okay .." He replied. You pulled away, moving over to face him. "I'm glad it's over but, I-I was wondering if you could walk me home? I just don't like going alone." Kokichi asked, looking over at you for an answer. "I'd love to!" You smiled.

You started to walk down the hall with him. Once you made it up to your lockers, you began to look for your umbrella. "Dammit!" You closed your locker with a sigh. "Did you lose your umbrella, Y/N?" Kokichi asked. "We can share mine. I-If you want to." He offered, looking away. "You don't have to do that-"

"But, I want to." He confessed, handing you his umbrella. You smiled, oblivious to the blush growing across his cheeks. "Thank you." You said, watching him smile back. For you, it was always the sweetest sight to see him happy. "We should get going before it gets any worse." He pointed out, watching you open his umbrella. "You're right .. well, are you ready?" You asked, gently taking his hand. He didn't say anything, but nodded.

Though you grew up together, Kokichi still seemed a bit shy around you at times. His umbrella was a bit on the smaller side, but you did your best to fit the two of you under it. You pulled him in a bit closer as you stepped out of the school, feeling his grasp around your hand tighten a bit. Hand in hand, your shoulders brushed together as you walked.

You didn't mind being close to Kokichi at all. You'd always notice how flustered he'd get when you would hug him, or snuggle up to him. Rain poured down against the side walk towards his house. But, you weren't paying attention to that. The only thing on your mind was the boy next to you. "Hey, y/n?" Kokichi turned towards you, a nervous look on his face. "Hm?"

You felt his hand tremble, his free one rubbing his cheek. "I just .. I wanted to thank you." He said, meeting your eyes. "Why?" You asked. "I've never had someone care about me the way you do." He suddenly stopped talking, and let go of your hand. "I'm sorry!" He stepped back from under the umbrella, tripping backwards. Kokichi reached out for you, and you quickly caught him. You pulled him into your chest, being able to feel how fast his heart was beating. "Are you okay?" You asked, noticing he still had his arms around you. He hummed in response, slowly pulling away. "I-Im sorry." He apologized once more. "I shouldn't be saying those kind of things, and I just .. just get so nervous around you sometimes." He began. "Hey, don't worry." You said, taking his hand. "It's alright." You said with a nod.

After a bit of awkward silence, you finally saw his house coming up in the distance. You walked with him up to front door. "Are you gonna be okay?" You asked, tilting your head a bit "Uhm. Yeah .. I think so." He said, sounding unsure. "Oh yeah! Thanks for letting me borrow your umbrella." You said, beginning to close it. "N-No! Keep it! It's still raining." He said, pushing it back into your hands. You turned back, it was pouring. "I guess you're right." You shrugged. "I'll see you tomorrow okay?" You waved, beginning to head off.

"Y/N, I wanted to tell you something." Kokichi tugged on your hand. You turned back, stopping in your tracks. "What is it?" You asked, seeing the tears sting in his eyes. "Y-You won't leave me, right?" Kokichi asked, squeezing your hand. He started overthinking every word that left his mouth, too afraid of scaring you. So afraid of opening up. "Oh, Kokichi." You frowned, pulling him into a hug. "You don't have to worry about that." You assured him. He tightened his arms around your embrace. "Y/N." Kokichi pulled back and rubbed his eyes. "I promise I won't leave you. I don't know what I'd do without you." He mumbled, glancing down to his feet. As he stepped closer, he hesitantly took your hands in his. "I-I .. I really like you." Kokichi said, face lightening up in a red tint.

"I've never felt this way towards someone." He said, gripping your hands. "I-I .. um .." He took a deep breath. "I like you, y/n."

You paused before saying anything, looking back at him. His school uniform and hair were a bit wet, and his face burned a deep red. You felt the shake in Kokichi's hands pressed against yours. "I understand if you don't feel the same way." He began to move hands away. You held on. "I like you too." You confessed with a smile. "Really?" He seemed shocked, but started to smile. He wasn't a big hugger, but .. he knew it made you happy. Anything that made you happy, made him happy too. Kokichi hugged you, nuzzling his head against your chest. "I love you y/n. I-I really do." Kokichi said, a bit more happiness in his tone.

Afterwards, the two of you headed inside. Kokichi had made some snacks for you. "A-Are you comfortable? I can find more blankets for you if you want." He said, cutting on the tv before sitting next to you on the couch. "I'm okay, don't worry about it!" You assured, pulling him closer. And so, you both snuggled and fell asleep together.

You had been scrolling on YouTube for a few minutes when you came across a strange video called "The CH14K1 Experiment". Curious, you clicked on it, and immediately, you were rewarded with a livestream in a hospital.

"Alright, recording!"

The voice came from behind the camera, but was a feminine but gentle voice. The young man in front of the camera looked deeply uncomfortable, and was clearly in hospital clothing, looking as though he'd been hospitalized. Judging by the lack of sharp objects around, it's likely a psychiatric hospital, specifically.

"D-Do we have to...? I'm fine, seriously... And the camera is making me want to vomit. That's no lie, either."

Suddenly, his eyes lock onto a door opening and a humanoid girl around his age in appearance walking through the door.

"...Huh?"

"Hey there. I'm CH14K1, Camaraderie Humanoid Model 14 Kinship-Type 1. 'Chiaki' for short."

"What is this? Is this some kind of sick joke? Who are you?"

It's clear that he's the subject of some kind of experience as the girl's eyes begin glowing as she recalibrates the information she's received.

"No! No, not at all! See, we knew bringing in some fan for you wouldn't help you at all. It might make your mental state even worse. So we decided to give you a friend who'd love you and want to help you no matter what, who you could never lose or upset. She's paired with you and you're her primary user as of today."

"And I'm given the directives 'provide emotional and protective support for Kokichi Ouma'. And you look like you could use a friend. I'd love to play a video game with you, if you're interested. It's important to recognize your boundaries, after all. That said, if you do decide to play with me, you'll totally lose."

Her tone is somewhat robotic and artificial, but the emotion behind her tones is present.

"No way! I can smoke some robotic loser like you!"

His words held no real bite to them, and it was clear she had aggravated his desire to compete to be the best like no one ever was.

"Oh? Perhaps you'd like to prove me wrong, then?"

Her tone was gentle and teasing, having found the best way to work with Kokichi's competitive nature.

"You're on! C'mon, let's play! Can we, Shibuya-San? Can we? Can we?!"

The doctor nods and CH14K1 leads Kokichi off into another area of the hospital, likely the recreational room.

"CH14K1 is a success so far! Ah, I'm taking questions in the comments, if you have any!"

Palamedes Sextus- You'd have Palamedes and Camilla solving the mysteries of Canaan House and tracking down the murderer, you've got his emotional turmoil at being rejected by the love of his life, you have his sheer bafflement at his good friend Protesilaus taking up a vow of silence and repeatedly attacking this other huge, silent weirdo who showed up. It would also be the best detective novel ending, in that he'd give his solution speech about who the culprit was and how they did it, then immediately explodes. Book over.

Kokichi Ouma- My primary reason is that this man makes no fucking sense due to his whole gimmick being constant (and probably compulsive) lying (and also probably bad writing TBH), and I am deeply curious as to what the hell was going through his head at literally any point in the story.
