Just Satoru being absolutely smitten with his little girl <3
He held her like he was holding the whole world in his arms. His eyes and silence were enough to showcase his love for your daughter. Your daughter. Just the thought that you two created something so pure and beautiful, made you want to cry again. You watched how Satoru never once took his eyes off of your daughter's sleeping form, his lips curved upwards displaying a beautiful sweet smile on his soft lips.
But when he heard the sound of soft footsteps across the room approaching him, his head looked up and smiled brightly upon seeing you.
"Hey sweet girl" he whispered and laid his back carefully on the couch cushions, your little girl snuggling her head closer to his chest.
You softly chuckled at how cuddly she was already, and you walked up to Satoru, sitting down next to him. When you looked at him you caught him already looking at you with adoration.
"I still can't believe you gave me the greatest treasure in the world. You're the most amazing and outstanding woman in the whole freaking world baby". He stared down at your little princess sleeping soundly in his arms. He slowly leaned down, giving a soft kiss on your daughter's forehead.
"I love you so much" he whispered and you noticed how his eyes became glassy. You felt your eyes getting teary too, and you laid your head on his shoulder, both of you admiring the little miracle.
"She sleeps too much. I want to see her beautiful again and talk to her" he whined like a little kid and you tried to hold your laugh so you wouldn't wake your girl.
"She's just a small newborn baby Toru, of course she needs sleep. But don't you worry, no one's going to take her away from you"
"As if they would dare. I won't let anyone hurt my little angel. I'll destroy them if they so as much as look at her way." His overprotective dad mode kicked in and you couldn't help but laugh lightly. Yep. You were so lucky.
Satoru then turned to the side and placed a kiss on your forehead too. You looked up and saw him already staring at you. You could see all the love, protection and adoration he held for both you and your daughter, and this made you feel overwhelmed with emotions.
"I love you both so so so so much" he said and started peppering kiss all over your face making you giggle.
"We love you too Toru. So so so so much!" You both laughed.
The movement in Satoru's arms caught instantly your attention, and you both looked down at the small bundle, as your daughter opened her eyes slowly. Satoru let out a small gasp, and he excitedly said:
"Hey beautiful girl" Satoru smiled widely at the sight of your daughter finally awake. She let out a small yawn in response and Satoru looked like he was going to start squealing at the adorableness of your daughter.
When she noticed you were sitting beside Toru, she cooed and smiled a little, making your heart burst woth happiness.
"Hi sweety" you gently rubbed her hair and she made a happy cute sound, which made you laugh.
"Oh my, you two are gonna be the death of me" Satoru said and looked at you, having his usual lovesick expression.
I'm out of ideas lately but as I mentioned before, Dad Gojo is. a. weakness.
So I came up with this 👐
Thanks for reading <3

Something with Klaus based on this quote from The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel
“… You listened.”
“To you? Always.”
I NEED the tension PLS
what a feeling | klaus mikaelson
klaus mikaelson x psychic!female!reader (no y/n)
author's note; this + the oneshot I did with the ozark quote are so fun to do, if y'all have any more tv/movie quotes you want me to do fics with send them in <333
warnings; umm vague mentions of violence but ultimately nothing besides fluff, reader is kind of an anxious mess but it's short and sweet
Her powers had always been somewhat of a burden. They were unreliable at best, dangerous and deadly at worst. She'd been on both ends of the spectrum, and even though the power that ran through her bloodline hadn't skipped her, it might as well have compared to everyone else in her family.
It'd made her somewhat of a black sheep amongst wolves. Her dreams, visions, couldn't be trusted. She couldn't be trusted.
Her family never really let her forget that, so the first time two Originals walked into her family's innocuous shop, she figured they wanted her mom or dad, or someone else– anyone but her.
But Klaus had set his eyes on her and said her name like it meant something. Like it wasn't basically a curse in and of itself.
The Mikaelsons were kind to her, despite all of the trouble she came with. Rebekah was sweet and mostly understanding, though she could sometimes be a bit hurtful without realizing it. Elijah was ultimately the same, and his interest in witchcraft always made her remember how much she really did love it, even if she was considered cursed by most witches in New Orleans.
Elijah had told her all about how their mother was the Original witch, and that if they hadn't been turned into vampires, they'd all have a bit of magic in them still. Their sister Freya, and Kol, were both lucky to have that part of their heritage still, apparently.
In the months of working with the Originals, helping them to the best of her ability, though, it was Klaus that she'd come to enjoy most.
She'd heard stories of the infamous hybrid her entire life, stories of bloodshed and needless violence, painting a picture of an unforgiving, ruthless man. Admittedly, when he'd first sought her out, she thought he'd come to kill her. For what reason, she didn't know, but there was no other reason he'd want to speak to her unless she'd unknowingly passed on a piece of her cursed magic to him.
But that hadn't been the case, and he'd just been in need of her specific powers, needed her help to keep an eye out for certain people and any future threats that would bring harm to him and his family. She'd quickly learned that above everything, Klaus just wanted to keep his family safe, and she was more than happy to help in any way she could.
Even though most of her visions were unreliable, he still urged her to share them just in case. Even though not a single one of her visions about the Mikaelsons had come true so far, he still made her tell him and his siblings. He never let her doubt herself.
She supposes that's why she's trying not to be upset right now, listening to them talk over her like she's not sitting right in front of them.
"We can't just sit back and let this happen, Niklaus," Rebekah says, her face twisted frustratedly. "Her visions aren't fact, they're mere possibilities. And very low possibilities at that."
She flinched, ducking her head down to hide the hurt Rebekah's words inflict on her, because she can't really be upset when the blonde is right. Sometimes it's just a feeling, not even a vision. She can't blame them for not trusting a vision of a future that is constantly changing.
Elijah, ever the mediator, gives his sister a slightly scolding look before looking at his brother with something apologetic in his eyes. "Rebekah's being... harsh, but brother, she's not wrong. There's no way to prove that it will come true, and because of that, we have no real reason to not fight back. We have to do something, otherwise every vampire in the Quarter will be in danger."
Klaus pinches the bridge of his nose, his face twitching in a glare. His eyes drift to the quiet witch sitting down, twisting her fingers together anxiously in her lap. He catches her gaze and softens at the sadness in her eyes, feeling it pang in his chest.
"I know," He says finally, an apology swimming in his glacial eyes as he looks at the witch. Her sadness deepens with hurt at his words and he tears his eyes away from her, looking to his siblings. "We have to go."
She stands up abruptly, looking at him in disbelief. "But Klaus, they have white oak stakes, and they're going to use them on all of you. They kill you all, and they don't stop until you're all gone, even Freya! I saw it happen, I swear! You have to believe me, please,"
Elijah says her name with pity in every syllable and she swipes a hand out, turning to look at him with pleading eyes.
"You have to believe me, you're going to be killed if you go. They have laid a trap perfectly made to capture you, and you're walking directly into it!"
"We have to," Klaus shakes his head, already walking towards the doors, Rebekah and Elijah following. He looks over his shoulder, giving her a firm look. "Stay here until we return. It's not safe for you anywhere else."
He walks out before she can say anything else, pretending that he can't feel the heartbroken look on her face burning into his back as he leaves.
──────
She hasn't moved from her seat on the couch in the entirety of their absence. With every minute that shows no sign of their return, her heart beats faster, guilt beginning to seep into her pores.
Stuck in this spiral of horrible, self-deprecating thoughts, she's startled when the doors slam open and the three Originals come marching into the compound.
She stands up, eyes wide as she takes in the drying blood staining their skin and their clothes, but can't stop the wave of relief that washes over her at the sight of them all alive.
Rebekah has a slight limp to her step and Elijah seems to be favoring his left side more than usual, and there's blood on Klaus's face that she knows is his, but they're alive.
She lets out a shaky breath as Klaus walks towards her, Elijah and Rebekah heading for the stairs to likely clean themselves up and find a blood source to suck dry and finish healing.
"I was wrong," She sighs, eyes closing in abatement. "I'm so glad I was–"
She's cut off by Klaus's palms cupping her cheeks, and her eyes snap open when she feels the press of his plush lips against hers. She makes a noise of utter surprise that quickly dissipates into a noise of pleasure, and her eyes flutter shut as she lets him deepen the kiss, stealing the breath right out of her lungs.
She chases him as he pulls away, but he stops her, dragging his thumbs gently along her cheekbones as he looks at her with a look she'd dare call adoring.
It takes her breath all over again and she squirms beneath it, feeling like she's teetering on the edge of something big.
"What," She breathes out, licking her lips like she can still feel the weight of his on them. "What was that for?"
"You were right," He says, his voice rough. "You were right. They had white oak stakes and they tried to kill us. The only reason we survived is because of what you told us,"
Her eyes widen and she looks up at him in disbelief. "But... I'm never right. I'm cursed,"
He shakes his head, lips pulling up into a smile, creasing the dried blood on his cheek. "No, you're not, darling. You saved my life. You saved my family,"
Her throat tightens, thick with emotion, and she isn't entirely proud of the way her voice shakes when she speaks. "You listened?"
Klaus's gaze warms with fondness and he gives her a smile that makes her heart race for entirely new reasons. "To you? Always."

just so you know,, i know
in which you have been more sad recently, causing you to not want to do anything, not even hang out with your girlfriend. and she knows somethings wrong
a/n please yall this is my first angst fanfic with billie,, and i kinda used my own personal life for this guys sorry if it's specific,, use of y/n
tw depression, mentions of not eating, crying, cussing, mentions of sh, loss of family
(if you are not comfortable reading things with those topics do not be afraid to stop reading! and know im here for you. your not alone, i love you all and your here for a reason babies)
ever since you lost your dad, you haven't been acting the same. yeah, your dad wasn't around, but that doesn't change the fact that its your dad. apart of you is missing now and you wont be able to get it back.
obviously billie has been with you the whole time, but eventually she had to go because of her music and you understood that, honestly you would rather be alone, of course you loves billie being there though.
you were currently laying in your bed, surrounded by plates and cups, most of them having food in them since you couldn't bring yourself to finish them, but it made you feel overwhelmed, but you just couldn't get yourself up to clean it.
all you wanted to do is lay there and think about this, everything bad was happening to you and you don't know why.
the last time billie was at your house was around 2 days ago, and you haven't talked to her since then. you wanted to, but you didn't want to look on your phone because you knew that you would feel guilty for not responding so you didn't. you laid on your bed watching your comfort shows and youtubers over and over again until you found some sort of relaxation.
all you were thinking about is how this grief will never go away. its stuck with you forever no matter what.
eventually you'll start to live with it and continue on with how you used to be, but not right now. all you wanted was comfort but you also just didn't want to be around anyone.
a few days later, the last time you've ate was around 3 days ago and the last time you've talked to billie was 7 days ago. you missed her, and who knows what she thinks about you. hell, she probably thought you blocked her. that was why she came into your room with no notice, just showed up.
"y/n? are you okay? you haven't talked to me?-" she says, cutting herself off as she steps in your room
"hi billie" you say quietly, your voice hoarse since the last time you've talked was ages ago.
"are you okay baby?" she says to you, not worried about all the trash and plates on the floor, she immediately sits beside you, "sit up for me princess. tell me whats wrong"
your eyes immediately start to fill with tears, and before you can get a word out the tears start falling and you can't get them to stop
"its okay hun" billie says to you softly and wraps her arms around you and gently kisses your forehead.
"billie i can't-" you cut yourself off with heavy breathing.
"yes you can my love, you can breathe okay, you can talk okay, your okay." she reassures you and it helps you calm down a lot.
"are you okay now baby?" she says quietly to you.
"i think so.." you sniffle, wiping the tears from your face.
"whens the last time you've gotten up love?" she asks you, worried. all you do is just shrug in embarrassment.
"its okay baby, have you ate any today or do you want me to make you something?" she asks you in a comforting tone, she knows just how to talk to you.
"im not hungry." you protest and put your head on your knees.
she gives you a look, knowing that your lying. "what do you want me to make you baby?" she asks, cuping your cheek.
"nothing, im not hungry" you say, in a colder tone this time and she nods, not wanting to make you uncomfortable in any way.
"are you okay my love?" she asks softly
"no bils.. i can't do this anymore." you sniffle into her shoulder, genuinely so tired.
"baby don't say that. how about you come over to my house for a few days? you can shower at my house and ill make you food and ill get you a drink at canes, i know you like their lemonade." she says and rubs your thigh.
you nod in response, you stand up for the first time in a while with the intentions to actually go out. "are you hot?" she asks you, you have on a sweatshirt and pajama pants, obviously you were sweating like a mother fucker, but you had to hide your scars.
billie knew that you struggled with this before, but she didn't know that you started again, so you had to lie and say "no im not, im cold actually"
"okay baby, do you want me to turn the heat on in the car?" she asks you
great you think, eventually your gonna have to tell her.
"noo its fine baby" you say to her quietly and she nods at you, taking you to her car.

Perfect imperfection- John Price// Simon Riley
Based on a request: Hi! can you please maybe do price or simon w a reader who gave birth to a child with some sort fo dissability or sickness and when reader and simon/price goes out reader sees a happy family and reader starts to feel insecure that they couldn't give price/simon the "perfect family" and price/simon is like oh no u and the kid are already perfect and ill beat up who ever made you feel insecure
---- F!Reader, established!relationship, mum!reader, dad!price, dad!ghost, fluff, baby with a disability/sickness, comfort ----
A/N: didn't tag those in my list since I wasn't sure they'd be comfortable with this one
Price:
It was a long day today. After your daughter was born, it had become a routine to go on walks. Even on days when she would make you stay up later than usual, a walk was a must.
Now, John walks hand in hand with you, his beautiful wife, through the bustling streets, your newborn daughter cradled in her stroller. Isn't she so beautiful? The soft coos and occasional giggles from the baby filled the air with a sense of warmth and joy. But beneath that happiness lingered a layer of worry, a shadow that casts the knowledge that your precious daughter was born with a disability.
As you three stroll along, you can't help but notice the curious glances and sympathetic looks from passersby. Each stare felt like a dagger to your heart, a reminder of your daughter's differences. You try and push away the feelings of insecurity, but they claw at you, threatening to overwhelm your fragile confidence.
"John," you whisper, your voice tinged with uncertainty, "do you ever…feel like she's not…normal?" What a question.
John stops in his tracks, turning to face you with a gentle smile. He reaches out, gently brushing a stray lock from your face.
"Y/N, listen to me," he says, his voice soft but firm. "Our daughter is perfect, just the way she is. Her uniqueness doesn't make her any less beautiful or valuable. She's a miracle, a blessing in our lives."
Tears well up in your soft eyes as you look into your husband's loving gaze. At that moment, she felt a surge of gratitude for the unwavering support he offered, even in the face of your insecurities.
And this was usual at times, he knew best that when they had run tests when you were pregnant, and you had been informed about your daughter's disability something in you doubted carrying the pregnancy. He knew you didn't like to announce your pregnancy anywhere you went. Instead of having that beautiful look all pregnant women had, your face was dull. It wasn't that you would hate that precious angel you carried but rather you were scared for if anyone besides John and you would appreciate her in this world.
How could anyone ever hate this precious baby? How can anyone not want to hold her and squeeze her chubby little face?
"But what if…" you trail off, unable to voice your deepest fears.
He gently takes your hand, squeezing it reassuringly. "We'll face whatever comes our way, together," he promised. "And no matter what, our love for her will never waver. She may be different, but she's still our little miracle."
With his words echoing in your mind, you feel a newfound sense of strength and resolve. You wipe your tears away, a small smile tugging at the corners of your lips.
"You're right," you say, your voice steadier now. "I'm sorry for….doubting this, I'm just scared," you mention and he cups your face. "I know, doll," he kisses your forehead and smiles, his eyes falling upon his sweet princess. "Let's get her home soon, her mum is about to have a dinner date soon," he smiles.
As you continue your walk, the weight of the insecurities feels as if they are slowly leaving you. In the embrace of his love, you slowly find the courage to block away the what-ifs.
At this moment, your little family was perfect. As it's always been.
Ghost:
Simon Riley, renowned for his bravery and resilience on the battlefield, found himself facing a new kind of challenge at home: parenthood. His days of clandestine operations and covert missions had taken a backseat to the joys and responsibilities of being a father. Together, with you, he now takes the journey of being a dad to his son, that little ray of sunshine amidst the chaotic world he lives in.
Your son, however, was born with a condition that makes him different from other babies. As you two navigate through doctor's appointments and endless nights of worry, Simon and you find yourselves grappling with insecurities that were never anticipated.
One sunny afternoon, as you both stroll around through the park with your daughter cradled in Simon's arms, you can't shake off the feeling of inadequacy gnawing at your heart. You watch other parents with their perfectly healthy babies, and a wave of self-doubt washes over you.
"Simon," you murmur, "do you ever wish things were different? That our baby wasn't… like this?"
Simon halts, his eyes gentle yet firm as he meets yours. "Hey," he whispers, his free hand reaching out to caress your cheek, "our baby is perfect the way he is. And you, my love, are the most incredible mother he could ever ask for."
Tears well up in your eyes as you listen to his reassuring words. "But… he's not like other babies," you choke out.
there is one thing besides being a soldier that Simon is and that is a father, a proud one at that.
He presses a tender kiss to your cheek. "And that is what makes him special," he declares. "He's unique, just like his beautiful mum. We're a family, and our love for this baby is stronger than the nasty stares from those other parents. Plus, I doubt their baby is as cool as ours," he smiles.
What other baby makes their parents laugh at the cute little stuff they do? What other husband is as amazing as him?
His words were a balm to your wounded spirit, easing the burden of doubt that weighs heavily on your shoulders.
You nod and rest your forehead on his shoulder.
Why must just being this close to him be so comforting? He is precious, isn't he? They are both precious.
This is gorgeous.

I may know someone - Platonic!Alastor & tech demon!reader + Vox x tech demon!reader
Summary: Vox is holding a grudge against the hotel and refuses to air the commercial that they created. But Alastor has someone in mind who might just be able to help...
"I always knew Vox was petty," Alastor hummed picking at his nails. He wasn't pleased to say the least. Not about the commercial of course, if it was possible for him to care less about it then he would. But rather with Vaggie at his door demanding that he do something about it, along with Charlie's pleading eyes trying to calm Vaggie so she could try and convince Alastor.
Quite honestly he didn't know what they thought he could do. He was injured for crying out loud. His wound from Adam still hurt like a truck and not to mention that he and Vaggie made a deal so he wouldn't have to deal with the picture box anymore.
"Please Al, I won't ask anything else of you!" Charlie begged bouncing on the tips of her feet whilst still attempting to hold Vaggie back, although with their wings it was getting harder as she would flap them out constantly.
"You shouldn't lie dear, isn't that an unholy quality?" He asked with some hint of annoyance in his voice.
"Alastor just try and fix it alright, we built this whole hotel and-" Alastor cut Vaggie off with an influx of static.
"Didn't we make a deal about this my dear?"
Vaggie paused for a moment before sighing and walking away leaving Charlie.
"Please, Alastor," She paused for a moment looking at him. "We really need this right now alright? Besides just think about it, more sinners means more entertainment for you if thats what you want," She said slowly walking over into him room before stopping once he glanced at her.
"Besides just think of all the fun you would have watching me uh," She paused thinking for a moment. "Struggle to rehabilitate sinners!" She added throwing up her arms in the air as a punctuation to her sentence.
Alastor sighed and met her eyes. "I really can't do anything dear, I only control the radio and besides, I doubt that rabble box will even listen to me. I don't know how to work this," he made a wild gesture with his hand. "Frivolous new technology works,"
His smile grew tight with disgust. "Its not worth the trouble anyways," he huffed and looked over to the side.
Charlie sighed and glanced away. "Fine, thats reasonable I guess," She groaned and smoothed down her wrinkled hair and began walking out the door.
"I wonder if dad would help me with this," she muttered as she walked along. Now that was something Alastor just couldn't have. He grit his teeth and tapped his staff onto the ground disappearing into shadow and reappearing in front of Charlie.
"Now now dear I didn't say I wouldn't help you-"
"You basically did though-"
Alastor put his finger in front of her mouth shushing her. "It is rude to interrupt don't you know?" He took his hand back and set it on his staff.
"I do know someone who might be able to help in our little endeavor. Rosie adores her quite so and I think that she might just be interested in this. Besides she is an old friend of mine," He explained bending down and smiling even wider.
It's been a while since he's seen you. He'd like to visit you after all and this would stick it to Lucifer and Vox. He's winning on all three sides of the coin.
"Well then! Can I meet her?"
"Patience Charlotte, come, come now. The place where she lives is quite dangerous indeed. It would be a shame for you to be harmed there,"
He hummed and walked her out the hotel. "You'll need to stay by me at all times. Do you understand?"
She nodded and Alastor nodded with her. "Good girl,"
˚*•̩̩͙✩•̩̩͙*˚*˚*•̩̩͙✩•̩̩͙*˚*˚*•̩̩͙✩•̩̩͙*˚*˚*•̩̩͙✩•̩̩͙*˚*˚*•̩̩͙✩•̩̩͙*˚*˚*•̩̩͙✩•̩̩͙*˚*˚*•̩̩͙✩•̩̩͙*˚*˚*•̩̩͙✩•̩̩͙
You spun around in your chair. This was the fifth time today. If anyone else came into your office proclaiming they they needed your help you were gonna flip.
You weren't an overlord. But damn did you manage this side of the pentagram. A space so fucked that not even the strongest overlord would set their sights here. Too much work for not enough profit you would say. Honestly? You would agree if you weren't somewhat attached to this rancid place.
Knock knock.
You gripped your desk and groaned mentally, bracing yourself for whoever was at the door next.
"I swear to god Susan call me again for your fucking cat and I will shove it's claws up your-" You opened the door with a shout and stopped upon seeing a familiar red color scheme.
"Alastor- holy shit!" You laughed and stepped back. "Sorry for the shouting, its been a..." You trailed off and sighed shaking your head. "Rather stressful day," You snapped your fingers electricity from them instantly snapping on the lights to emit a warm glow from them.
Behind him was someone with blonde hair and red eyes and a red suit. God was there a lot of red going on here. "Who's this?" you asked gesturing over to her. "Looks nice, didn't know she was your type," You laughed before shaking your head not allowing Alastor to react.
"I'm kidding, I know you've got an ace up there," you laughed tugging at his sleeve before letting it go.
Alastor paused for a moment. "What?"
You moved on giggling. "Come on introduce her, Rosie would have your head for behavior like this," you laughed and grabbed the girl's hand.
"This is Charlotte Morningstar! Princess of hell and owner of the delusional establishment known as the Hazbin Hotel!" He said patting 'Charlotte's' head.
"You can call me Charlie," She quickly corrected. You nodded and bent down bowing down to her and raising her hand slightly above your head.
"Pleasure to meet you your highness, what can I do for you today. After all I doubt you come here on pleasantries," you gestured outside to where a few demons were about to have either an orgy or a torture scene. You pulled them in further shutting the door and closing the windows.
"Well you see I've been having a bit of trouble lately. Well see this man, Vox, refuses to air the commercial I made for my hotel. So I was wondering if you could possibly do something about it," She offered. She smiled warmly and you looked over to Alastor.
"Vox isn't really..." You sighed and rubbed your forehead. "Do you want me to talk with him? Cause I don't know him besides that fact that his tech is nothing more than flashy shit," you explained.
"No, no, no, no, well I mean... I just want my commercial aired, I can pay you if you'd like," She offered.
You paused and shook your head glancing over to Alastor. "What do you think that I can do?" you asked tilting your head over to him. Of course he would bring her to you, what else were you expecting.
"Well you can infiltrate Vox and his filthy lair! Get the commercial up and running!" He said with a swing of his arm.
You groaned and sat down in your chair. "Really? And how do you suppose I'm even gonna get close enough to do such a thing?"
"Why my dear you'll only have to do a flick of a wrist, I doubt that Vox knows he's not the only one with powers like yours," he said and gestured over to you grandly, as if introducing you all over again.
With a sigh you looked over to Charlie. Money didn't really mean shit here, besides you knew better than to say no to Alastor. Friends be damned, if he wanted something you had to give it to him unless you had a good reason which, you really didn't. Other than you just didn't want to of course.
"Alright then, I don't need to get paid though, just puts a target on my back-"
"Alrighty then!" Alastor was cut off by you.
"But, you're getting me over there. Got it smiles?" You asked looking over to him. His grin grew tight and you felt your grow at that.
"Of course, it would be unkindly of me if not,"
Charlie squealed and grabbed your hand pulling you up and giving you a hug. "Thank you! Thank you ! Thank you! Thank you so much! I will not forget this, I swear!" She was bouncing up and down as you laughed and slowly pushed her away.
"Alright, don't get too happy about it. I still don't know if I can do it,"
"Don't worry, if any demon in this wretched realm can do it its you," Alastor said giving you a half pat on the head before you swiped his hand away.
"Alright then, so when do you want me to do this?" You asked.
"Oh take your time-"
"Now would be preferred. Here I'll even lead you," Alastor said grabbing you and pulling you in by the hook of your arm. You stumbled over and glared at him playfully a grin forming across your lips as you gaining your footing.
"What about the princess?" You pointed over to Charlie who was bouncing on her feet excitedly.
"Oh we can stop by the hotel on our way over, don't worry y/n,"
You laughed and looked over to Charlie. "Oh my god, I didn't tell you my name!" You laughed and stuck your hand out once more. "Y/n,"
She shook your hand and smiled. "Don't worry about it, besides I'm sure Al would've told me it,"
You nodded and turned over to Alastor. "Alright then, lead the way,"
˚*•̩̩͙✩•̩̩͙*˚*˚*•̩̩͙✩•̩̩͙*˚*˚*•̩̩͙✩•̩̩͙*˚*˚*•̩̩͙✩•̩̩͙*˚*˚*•̩̩͙✩•̩̩͙*˚*˚*•̩̩͙✩•̩̩͙*˚*˚*•̩̩͙✩•̩̩͙*˚*˚*•̩̩͙✩•̩̩͙
To call the hotel a giant eyesore might be an understatement. It was clear that Alastor didn't design the thing whether that be for good or for worse. It's lights basically dissected your eyes into thousands of tiny little pieces.
God was it bright.
"So the V's are what they're called then?" You asked brushing off tiny specks of dust on your shoulder. You just had a conversation with someone named Angel and god did it feel wrong.
"Yes! They're quite incompetent though, nothing you need to worry about," He said patting your head once more. You groaned mentally at the gesture and watched as he spun his microphone around.
"Really? Aren't they overlords?" You questioned further adn watched how Alastor's grin grew tight at the mention.
"Yes but they're awfully pathetic and act like children. Throwing temper tantrums here and there," he paused for a moment before shutting his eyes and flitting them to you. "Actually you'd be more of a competent overlord than them-"
You held up a hand. "No, no, we've been over this. I'm not an overlord. I don't have nearly enough power-"
"I could help with that," He smiled and you watched the green and red glow light up from behind him.
"Uh huh, so you could put me on a leash? Yeah, no thanks," You rolled your eyes at the offer and watched as he laughed it off with you.
"No no, just as a friendly gesture. Of course a favor wouldn't be too bad I suppose,"
You laughed once more. "A favor? from me? I'm sorry but being gone for seven damn years must've screwed with your head. I can't do anything,"
You both stopped in front of a large building. At least in the alleyway of a shop in front of it. You noticed how Alastor avoided the cameras, he must've done this thousands of times.
"Aren't you doing this?" Alastor gestures over to the building.
Three V's hung at the very top of a very colorful building and- you take it back this is worse than the hotel. You winced at the colors and looked over to Alastor. "I might change my mind,"
You watched as he laughed for a short amount of time before returning to you. "Well then we better hurry up I suppose my dear," He snapped his fingers and you watched the cameras glitch for a second. "We'll only have a moment now," He said and he walked out with you and into a backroom of the building and- god the inside might just be worse.
Thousands of LEDs strung up around the hall with tons of flashing lights. Stuff to draw one's attention. You just wanted to get out. You followed Alastor around before he stopped. "You know the way from here?" He asked.
You paused and looked at him. "Please tell me you didn't-"
"I haven't been here before. I've never had a reason to before now," He said and tapped his staff onto the ground leaning on it for support. His ears bent slightly back in frustration.
You glanced at the cameras and sighed for a moment before looking back at him. "A minute please," you hummed and flicked a small bit of electricity over before tapping a device on your wrist generating a hologram. You watched as it flickered between the different places before stopping on one.
"Got it, we need to be in the room though and uh," You pointed to the hologram showing someone in the room. Alastor squinted and sighed.
"He was always obsessed," he groaned and looked over to you. "Get over there I'll lead him out and- don't get caught. Got it?" His gaze hardly even looked at you but you nodded anyways.
"Sir yes sir," You laughed and ran over towards where it would be. Having access to the cameras made it easier now you'd have to admit. You watched as people passed by and when you rarely messed up you knew where to go next. Then you reached the room. A room full of tv's and god- this was creepier in person.
You walked over looking down at the ledge of which the room seemed to drop forever. Yikes, you wouldn't wanna fall down there. You looked at the cameras seeing the guy from before shout at Alastor who was breaking a ton of stuff with a look on his face that said he was having way too much fun with this.
You looked over at the tv's and smiled flicking of bit of the electricity into the tv's and watching as it squirmed through. That should do it. You watched as it slowly ran through the computers and it flicked through everything. The channels, commercials, and god you're not looking at that one, until you found it. The commercial. With a grin you clicked approve and watched as it slowly became permanent with the humming from the computers agreeing with your own.
"That should do it," you muttered and looked back at the cameras and-
shit.
He's almost here.
You hissed to yourself cursing that you weren't more careful. Goddammit, you need an out, and now. You looked around the room and facepalmed mentally. This was horrible. The only thing you could hope to do it wait by the door and hope that he didn't see you.
You ran over and slid by the door covering your mouth. This was gonna suck. You balled your fists ready to get into a fight, you knew how to fight, you lived in the worst part of the fucking pentagram. You knew all the moves, you knew how to fight dirty. You raced through your head trying to gather your thoughts but none came. Your knees became weak. This was a real overlord. Alastor was a real overlord, shit what were you thinking.
You could hear the footsteps get closer and closer. Each step felt like hell to bare.
You can't remember how to fight, you readjust your hands trying to remember how to not break your thumb. The door handle turns and you almost lose it. You almost bolt down into the abyss. Hell it might be a better death than fucking with some flashy guy's tech.
Crash
"Dammit Alastor!" You hear the reverberate of a tv penetrate your ear. God it hurts, the footsteps retreat and you let out a breath you didn't know you were holding. You let your hand fall to your side not letting yourself gain the time to process what just happened. Once the noise was gone you checked the cameras.
Nothing.
You opened the door and bolted it checking the cameras constantly until you were out of the wretched building. You panted heavily catching your breath as you leaned into the alleyway you and Alastor were at before. There was a fight, you could hear it. The shouting, the screaming. God were you glad you had Alastor. You covered your mouth and watched as everything slowly died down and a shadow slithered up to you.
You moved your feet back and watched as Alastor reformed in front of you. "Sorry for that one darling, I hope he didn't get too close," he said and pulled you in for a half side hug before letting you go.
"No, not... not at all," you muttered and watched as Alastor paused for a moment.
"Well he didn't see you did he?"
You looked up and paled at the thought. "Hell no! I... I hope not," you admitted slowly. "There's- there's no way," you said firmly once more and looked at Alastor who nodded.
"Understood, come along then we have work to do,"
˚*•̩̩͙✩•̩̩͙*˚*˚*•̩̩͙✩•̩̩͙*˚*˚*•̩̩͙✩•̩̩͙*˚*˚*•̩̩͙✩•̩̩͙*˚*˚*•̩̩͙✩•̩̩͙*˚*˚*•̩̩͙✩•̩̩͙*˚*˚*•̩̩͙✩•̩̩͙*˚*˚*•̩̩͙✩•̩̩͙
Vox slammed the door into the control room. His suit was tattered and who the fuck did Alastor think he was was starting trouble on his territory. He groaned and watched as his tech lit up with almost a new color. He paused for a moment and walked forward watching as it glowed brighter than anything he's ever seen before dulling and disappearing into the darkness.
Weird.
He touched his keyboard and felt the energy spark him and it hurt. It. Hurt. He made a small face before touching it again and it hummed in response before finally fading out. Electricity wasn't supposed to hurt him. So what the hell was that? He paused and watched as it returned to its normal state and sighed before seeing something playing on the screen.
The commercial. The fucking Hazbin Hotel bullshit was playing on his screens. He slammed his hand down and began trying to fix it only to find it kicking him out. What the hell? He tried again only to be met with the same fate not only that but a message appearing on the screen.
You cannot access this. Please try something else.
He shouted in frustration. "What the fuck is happening!?" He swiped over the screens and found something.
Footage.
Footage of what the hell happened.

OH CAPTAIN, MY CAPTAIN. . . single dad! meian + f!reader
✮⋆˙ notes/CWs - brief mention of parental death, heavy underlying emotions, meian's a flirt when he wants to be, typos probably
It was all too early for the man that morning, the sun barely even breaking the horizon when his alarm went off. He rubbed at tired eyes the whole morning, fighting off the urge to do nothing more than get back in bed. But he couldn't do that, even if he had the chance - he had more than just himself to take care of.
His daughter, Himawari, always, without fail, fought him on waking up; and now that it was earlier than normal, it was a complete lost cause. She fought against waking up, fought against getting ready, and fought against going outside because she refused to wear a jacket. But the chill outside turned her off to the idea of going to school all together. Stubborn, and moody from the change of schedule, he had to all but drag her to get in the car - she fought against that too.
They had to get to her school earlier than normal, his schedule clashed with all other times to meet with her teacher - a prerequisite, of sorts, to meet all new families at the beginning of the year - and he finally bit the bullet and asked for a time before school. Thank god her teacher agreed; despite the coaxing and near begging the man had to do to get his daughter in the building to begin with.
She walked beside him, arms crossed over her chest with a scowl; a rather adorable sight at how small she was and the Hello Kitty bookbag she adorned. (But Meian told anyone who would listen to not let her fool them, she was as devilish as they came.) He shortened his strides whenever he walked with his daughter, he was tall enough that one stride was about three of hers; so he opted for picking her up with a groan. “Come here, you're killing me.”
She fought against being picked up as well, “put me down!” A loud whine that nearly echoed in the empty hallway, “I don't wanna’ be held right now!” He only sighed as she squirmed against him, but eventually gave up once she realized she was no match.
“It's not my fault you walk slow,” he groaned, but the smallest of smiles peaked at his lips once he cut his eyes over to her. She pouted, huffed, and did anything she could to make him feel bad; but it didn't work.
“Maybe you just walk too fast.”
“Keep telling yourself that, Hima.”
The hallway was long, almost liminal as the doors seemed to never end. Each decorated, or not, which showed the personality of who occupied it. The school was basically empty, besides the few staff members who got to work early on their own free will, and quiet. Quiet enough to hear the small sigh of defeat from his daughter, and she now rested her head on his shoulder. “Dad, I'm tired.”
“I know.” Good god did he know. “Maybe if you went to bed on time you wouldn't be so sleepy.”
“But I can't sleep when you're not there,” she sighed again. He felt his heart drop at her words, even though he knew them all too well. Every babysitter he ever had loved the girl, but every single one had never gotten her to fall asleep. The girl refused every time; and if she didn't, she laid in bed until she heard the front door open and shut, and the familiar voice of her father. She would drive herself to sleep deprivation all because Meian wasn't there. “I miss you too much to go to sleep.”
“I know,” he repeated, much more softly than the latter. Filled with care, and hinted with regret, though he knew he had no other choice but to not be home. Games were important, not like the stray practices he would miss here and there; and the games that were later in the day he unfortunately couldn't bring her to. “I miss you too.” There was a small moment of silence, not knowing what to say as he felt his daughter fidget with the sleeve of his shirt.
The man prided himself with his encouragement skills and wise words, but more often than not he couldn't find them for himself. There was a missing piece to his mind it seemed, gaping and dreary as he wished nothing more than to be a good father - but to him, he always fell short. There were times he wasn't home, important events like school plays and concerts missed from commitments to his team, he couldn't help her with her homework as he wasn't home when she got back because of practice, and the period of time away for nationals felt like a stake through the heart every time it rolled around.
An optimist with others, but a pessimist with himself. Always falling just shy of what he thought a good parent should be and what a good parent should do. It was utterly exhausting.
Despite his aching heart and rattling mind, he gave her a small smile and desperately tried to change the subject - more for himself rather than her. “Why don't you tell me about your teacher?”
He heard the girl hum before she lifted her head to look at him with tired eyes. “I think you'll like her,” a tone that finally seemed to melt away the prior attitude. “She's really nice, not like my teacher last year, and she makes crafts with us.” She smiled, the first time that entire morning, “yesterday we read about bunnies and we made plates that looked like bunnies.”
“I know, you brought it home.” He smiled at the reminiscent thought; he came home just after she did, and she all but knocked him down running to show him the plate with construction paper and pom poms glued to it. “I'm actually pretty jealous, ‘sounds fun making bunny plates.” He chuckled, “you think the guys would want to make them?” Hima was well aware of the team he played for, moreover his teammates. She often saw them at the handful of practices and games that he took her to, but more so knew of them through the stories he shared.
She laughed at his question, and he took a silent sigh of relief. “Mr. Hinata might,” she giggled, “but I know Mr. Bokuto would!” The child picked favorites, most definitely; however, her favorite, out of all of them, was Sakusa - and he still had no unearthly reason why other than the dry humor he offered. Every practice he ever brought her to was always met with Hima hanging off of the man, annoying him, and pressing every button Sakusa had - and Meian let her, a silent act of revenge for the consistent arguments he started with Atsumu.
“You're right, he would.” Bokuto was just as childish as she, if not more - he would probably beg the man to make one if given the chance. “Do you want to show him yours later today?” While he didn't plan to take the girl to practice, the sentiment of longing still lingered in the back of his mind; twisted and turned until he felt sick. The awful feeling of thinking he spent too much time away from her returned; and he hoped bringing her with him might mend how he felt, and maybe make her tired enough she would, for once, go to sleep on time.
“Really?” She asked excitedly. The girl cheered just before continuing on with her child like rambles. Himawari could go on for hours, days really, if he let her (which he more often than not did). She enjoyed talking about just about anything, and would find side story after side story as she went on through her rants. But the man never minded, he found it endearing that the girl had picked up his outgoing attitude.
He smiled as she continued on, rounding a corner to the hallway that her classroom was on. The school was quite big, a primary school that housed kindergarten through sixth, so every grade level was split into smaller hallways. The man surprised himself that he could remember where to go, as the only other time he went was when she was in first grade.
“She's really pretty, y'know?” Meian cut his eyes towards the girl, still holding her within his arms, and scrunched his brows.
“Who?” The word laced with confusion as his daughter only giggled again.
“My teacher.” He couldn't help but let a small breath pass his lips, and fought against rolling his eyes entirely. Himawari was prone to talking up the people within her life; which was an admirable trait to have, he was happy the girl wasn't a bully. But she was apt to make the older women around her larger than life - to play matchmaker. The girl couldn't remember her birth mother, she had passed when she was only a year old, but Meian made it a point to consistently remind the girl of her. Consistently reminded her, and himself, they were never abandoned.
That never stopped Hima from yearning for another woman's presence though. Didn't stop her from the small smiles she would give her father when talking about women much older than she, his age, with an err of playfulness that made him roll his eyes. So to her latter statement he only hummed, “and what do you say about me then, huh?”
“That you're old.”
“Ouch-” he rolled his eyes at her nonchalant attitude, “I'm not even that old, Hima.”
“Yeah, ok.” Her sarcastic tone made him sigh, and he thought to himself that maybe he allowed her to hang about Sakusa all too much - his blunt choice of words rubbed off on her in ways he couldn’t imagine. Never rude, but curt replies that never failed to make him groan. But he kept his mouth shut on the topic as he continued walking, and thanked the stars he was almost to his destination.
“Put me down, put me down!” The girl began to squirm in his arms, desperately trying to escape him to go to her teacher’s room that finally came within their view. The man quickly caved, picking his battles wisely with his daughter’s already flighty mood, and figured it wasn’t all that bad for her to be excited for school - quite the opposite really.
He watched as his daughter ran through the doorway of the open classroom, and heard a cheery voice greet her from the other side. The voice was light and airy, joy mingling amongst syllables with every word spoken. There was an intent behind it that felt sound, secure - a voice that most definitely belonged to a second grade teacher.
“Dad said I can bring my bunny plate to his practice and show his friends!”
“Really? That's so cool, I bet they'll love it.” A small smile peaked on his lips at the woman’s words; although he couldn’t see it just yet, he could practically hear the smile she wore. “Did you get to show your dad yet?”
Yet.
The word alone made his steps slow just before he reached the door, letting his pace taper off before completely stopping and he let out a silent breath. It was her job to care, to provide comfort and joy, to create a sense of security and structure - but Himawara had no structure in her life. And it was all his fault, or so he thought. The girl, frankly, never knew her father’s schedule, as it always dialed and changed according to the needs of the team. He desperately tried, at any given opportunity, to cling to time with her - and while he cherished every second, it was never enough.
He couldn’t help her as much as he liked with homework - yet. He couldn’t pick her up from school most days - yet. And he couldn’t find it within the chasms of his mind to give himself grace - yet.
“I did! He put it on the fridge! He wished he could be more like his daughter - happy and unknowing in the reality of real life. A childlike sense of certainty that everything was fine, that one could find joy in everything if they looked hard enough, and an unwavering belief that her father did everything under the sun for her. He couldn’t help but smile softly at the thought, and allowed the burden of ‘yet’ to pass him.
“Now that's where real masterpieces go,” she mused. “Did you tell him the book we read?”
“Not the title at least,” he chuckled as he rounded the doorway. “Everything else about it? Absolutely. I could probably quote it to you at this point.” A joke that landed fairly well, as he heard the woman laugh in response, but the comedic energy the man once held was quickly replaced with awe as he leaned against the doorway.
Himawari was wrong, utterly wrong. Her teacher wasn't pretty - she was beautiful.
He felt his stomach lurch to his throat, a brief sensation but one that made him cough. The realization that the woman was his daughter's teacher made him feel rather small, stupid even, and wildly out of his element. He woke up that morning and simply got ready for practice - a slam packed schedule as the practice started just after this meeting would be over - and now he deeply regretted it.
“‘Morning, Mr. Meian.” He felt like a puddle of the man he once was only seconds ago, before she said his name. A subtle code switch that he picked up on from her - a voice for talking to children, and a voice for adults. He felt his mind go blank and nearly asked her to talk to him as if he were a child, maybe then he wouldn't have been so enamored.
He couldn't help but linger in the doorway to the classroom, the exposed skin of his arm leaning against the cool wood of the frame. Hands shoved into the pockets of track pants as he watched the woman retrieve papers from her desk. Only then did she meet his eyes and his breath hitched in his throat. She paused for a fraction of a second, her pace stuttering just before forcing her eyes to the ground and continuing on.
This was terrible.
“You can come in,” her voice was softer in comparison to her latter statement, nervous even. It made him second guess why he was here in the first place, despite the flicker of his daughter playing with a puzzle on the floor nearby.
“How are you?” He asked, trying to fight against the heat that wanted to surge to his face. He felt silly making small talk, the man always fell flat on his face when it came to it, but felt even sillier if he had said nothing at all.
“Tired,” she spoke through a chuckle, and he could tell. Behind a, semi, forced smile was tired eyes and a look of exhaustion. It was only Wednesday, and he suddenly felt bad for making the meeting in the first place. “But I'm here. How about yourself?”
“About the same as you,” he smiled. “Sorry again for wanting this meeting so early, it's the only time that worked.” An apology didn’t seem like it should be enough now that he looked at the woman. Albite pretty, she looked weary, burnt out, and he sensed a twinge of discontent - like she didn’t want to be there in the first place. Groveling may have been a better thing to do, but it wasn’t as if he had a choice in the time he chose. He exhausted all other options from a meticulous schedule that was downright impossible to change.
“Don't worry about it,” she shrugged, “I'm just glad you didn't want it way after school.”
“Feels like a crime to make you stay that long.”
“It should be.” She met his eyes again and smiled, one that seemed genuine rather than forced this time. And he watched her eyes flicker to the other side of the room after a moment. “We can sit back there,” she motioned towards a semi circle table in the back of the room. “It's a little cluttered, but it's better than sitting at a desk made for a second grader.” The table didn't seem cluttered in the slightest; occupied with stacks of papers and different containers, each having a different color that he only guessed was for ease of organization.
She sat down, he followed, and began shifting the papers and containers over, now lining the edges with organized chaos than the latter neat piles. “Sorry,” she chuckled. “They come back here to work with me, so keeping everything neat is almost unheard-of.”
He let a laugh pass his lips just before he cut his eyes to his daughter, then promptly returned his gaze to her. “Trust me, I know. She'll pull out everything and decide she doesn't even want to play anymore.”
He felt his heart squeeze when she laughed in response, it was a laugh he could easily get used to, a laugh he wanted to hear more often than just at school. It was gentle, lighthearted, and voluntary - it didn’t feel like a laugh she had to force, as he suspected she did often. His mind kept circling back to the sound as she spoke; he didn’t even realize she had formally started the meeting just minutes ago. His thoughts were the furthest from where they should have been, as he couldn’t seem to take his eyes off of her.
Dazed, seemingly on cloud nine, he didn’t register that she spoke of grades, behavior, and reading level. He simply nodded along as he tried to memorize every detail of the woman in front of him: her eyes were dark and tired, she had smile lines on the sides of her lips, of which he guessed were from years of doing nothing but, her clothes were casual but nice despite the knowledge that children were frankly disgusting, and the side of her dominant hand was stained with multicolored marker, which he only imagined was the set up of a craft for later today.
“Do you have any questions?” The sentiment jerked him back to the present, and his fuzzy mind cleared quickly once he realized he didn’t register a single thing she spoke about. “Anything you want to add, maybe?”
“When's the next time you're doing these meetings?” The only query that made headway in his mind left his lips at the same time; speaking without thinking, and noticing too late what managed to tumble from his tongue.
“Conferences?” There was a sense of confusion riddled in her voice; if he were listening, he would have known that his daughter was doing just fine - excelling even.
“Yeah,” he nodded. And despite his better judgment, he doubled down on the sentiment entirely. “When's the next time I can talk to you?” He watched the woman’s eyes widen, and for a moment he felt like an idiot until he noticed a barely there, bitten back smile.
“You could always email me?” It was a subtle change in conversation, but one that both picked up on quickly. He was convinced the woman was trying to make his heart stop when she locked eyes with him, a cheekiness to the once serious discussion now diminished. “I respond pretty quickly actually.”
“Do you, now?” He leaned forward slightly, enough to rest his elbows against the table. At first the distance between the two was vast, professional, but he closed the door to professionality and locked it when he leaned in closer to her. She bit the inside of her cheek, still fighting the smile that desperately wanted to bloom on her lips. “That's good to know. But, I feel like I get a million emails every day. I'd never live it down if I missed one from you.”
“Things happen,” she shrugged with a gentle chuckle. “Did you have a better alternative though?” It was then he realized she wasn’t talking to him like a teacher anymore; instead, the tone had shifted again. This was actually her - not a teacher, not a professional - her. A coy change in the color of her voice that made his heart do flips, but played upon regardless.
“Getting your number was one.”
The battle between her and her ever growing smile ultimately ended in defeat at his proposition. Her lips pulled upward in an inviting smile and she cast her eyes to the table, a sheepishness washing over her at the man’s boldness - but she couldn’t deny that she liked it. “It's not every day I give a parent my personal number.”
“We don't need to talk about school.”
“Then what exactly would we talk about?”
“If you're free this weekend, or any weekend really?” The question left his lips with ease, despite the nerves that overflowed him when he first entered. He saw her eyes flicker back up to meet his own, catching his gaze once more, to which his heart hammered in his chest.
“What did you have in mind, Mr. Meian?”
“We don't have to decide that now,” a cheeky reply as he flashed her a smile. “We have until Saturday to figure that out.”
“I guess we do.” She looked down again, biting at the inside of her cheek, before reaching next to her at a stack of sticky notes. “You better not use this to ask me questions about second grade math,” she teased as she wrote the number down. Her handwriting was pretty and neat, a whimsy to it that matched her job to a tee. Once done, she took it off the stack and handed it to him, their fingers briefly touching as he took it from her. There was a pause when their fingers met; her fingers were cold against his own and it sent a shockwave through him. He could die happy if he was able to feel that again.
“That sucks. Because I've been really struggling with adding and subtracting.” He broke the brief silence with a boldness, one that looked all too good on him, and he smiled again. She rolled her eyes and laughed at his statement, “I’ll text you later today.”
“I hope you do.”

aita for telling my mom im not comfortable with her bf living with us? (cw, a little abuse and animal death mentions for like 2 seconds)
i, 17 afab x, live with my mom, 39 f, during the school week and my father's mom, 65 f, during the weekend. my mom started dating jon, fake name, 34 m, on valentines day this year. she told me when picking me up with him in the car, meaning i couldn't react at all. the main reason i reacted was she explicitly told me this wouldn't happen. she also explicitly told me he wouldn't be moving in but he never left. he's a professional chef and has taken over our very small kitchen bc of that. he doesn't like our dogs until they're calm, which takes an hour, he doesn't like the cats either and has forced them to live in the hall way which is the size of a closet.
i don't like jon, ive made this known to both my mom and him. in therapy i figured out it wasn't specifically about him, just the fact i haven't lived with a grown man 24/7 since my dad and i watched him abuse my mom when i was 4 and my trauma was responding, not myself.
the other day, i realized i was no longer comfortable in the kitchen bc its his space to me and wasn't eating at this house as a result. i told my mother and was met with her pushing back and pushing for me to go on anti-depressants, something ive been adamantly against for 5 years since prozac made me a zombie.
yesterday, we talked again and she made an off comment, "im sorry me being haply is making you miserable." she quickly realized what he'd said and spent 5 minutes apologizing as i cried.
school gets out in 3 weeks and im planning on just living with my gram mostly during that time and coming back on the weekends to be with my bird, who can't come with me bc all the birds in that house besides him have died. i can't rehome him bc he's scared he's scared of anyone who isn't me and he barely likes when i interact with him...
(sorry this is so long)
aita for telling my mother im not comfortable living with her bf after she told me he wouldn't be her bf or living with us?

I don't know if anyone has mentioned something like this already, but this thought has been on my mind for quite some time;
You know who I wanted to see having a duet with Alastor (song battle style)? Velvette.
Hear me out.
There's something similar between the two songs Alastor interrupts, Stayed Gone and Hell's Greatest Dad, especially when it comes to the duality between Alastor's part and the other person's part. Something that I admit I didn't notice at first, but I saw some people commenting on.
Let's talk about Stayed Gone first: all Vox has to say is that Alastor is old and Vox is new. He uses different words every time (fossil, barely audible, his medium is getting rare...), but that's his only argument. While Alastor attacks right into Vox's insecurities. He says that Vox's content is low quality and inconsistent, he belittles Vox's power, and pokes at the wound that was Alastor refusing to "join Vox's team" (whatever that means, not important for my point here).
In Hell's Greatest Dad, Lucifer talks about how he can be useful to Charlie. How he can give her Champagne fountains & caviar mountains without charging her. Alastor focuses on how his relationship to Charlie is (supposedly) very close. He says he's faithful to her, that he makes her laugh, that they have a special bond... Which is what Charlie values most.
ALL THAT TO SAY that Alastor is very good at reading the room, figuring out what people are on about. Now, what other demon we see that has showed to have those same skills and has used them to her advantage in the show? That's right, Velvette.
With a SINGLE glance, she was able to identify that Carmilla was the one that killed the exorcist because of her facial expressions and body language. And then she proceeded to poke Carmilla and Zestial until one of them snapped.
Also, just like I bet Alastor definitely doesn't believe a single word he's saying to Charlie in Hell's Greatest Dad, he just wanted to get under Lucifer's skin while manipulating Charlie, I highly doubt Velvette was serious about starting an actual war with the angels. She (and the Voys too, probably) had a suspicion that it had been an overlord who did it, and she went and tested the theory.
I just think it would be great to finally see someone publicly call Alastor out on all of his bullshit, and Velvette is (in my opinion, of course) a very good character for the role. Besides being very perceptive and good at reading into people's bullshit (she also does that with Vox when she is introduced btw).
She likes to annoy old people, she probably has some background on Al that Vox possibly provided her while lacking the insecurities that Vox has when it comes to Alastor.
It would be very satisfying (to me at least) to see her call him a coward in his face (because he fled Adam's fight when he got injured), or that he might hate Vox but he definitely loooves the attention because he's an attention whore (bonus points if she uses this specific term just to make him uncomfortable). Or even that he's trying so hard to keep this "ominous mysterious dangerous" persona while he's 1- not that powerful, 2- starting to get emotionally attached to the "good guys".
ALSO "you'd be powerless without the Vees" sir you can't convince me that 3 very powerful overlords can't beat 1 up. The Vees are powerful on their own but they're more powerful together and Vox's insecurities aside, they all know it. Alastor is alone, he might be friends with Rosie or the Hotel crew, but his pride wouldn't allow him to seek help in battle, or even emotional help.
Also 2.0 there's the fact that he's been gone for 7 years and while Velvette (and us) might have no idea what he's been up to, I bet the Vees have been growing and expanding their power while Alastor is the same since he left.
So yeah, I think she'd be so great on roasting Alastor. I don't know if I'll ever have a song battle between them but I sure think it would be interesting.

SDE (Single Dad Energy) Divorced David "Deacon" Kay x School Counselor! Reader
Summary: Deac gets called into Matts school to meet his new counselor.
What to expect: 1.6K words, Light mention of divorce, no angst, fluff, light flirting
A/N: This is the first fic I'm posting, so feedback is appreciated! I need more SWAT friends/moots, and I might add a part 2!
It was a slow day around HQ, which is why Deac was relieved to hear his phone ring. His relief quickly dissolved when he saw it was his ex-wife, and mother of his children, Annie. He sighed before picking up and plastering a smile on his face. His team members snickered as he walked away from the group.
“David, Mathew's school just called. They asked for a parent but didn't say why. I'm in a session and can't get over there, " she said shortly.
“We're in luck, I should be able to head over there shortly.” He looked over to his team, laughing, presumably teasing Luca. With a short goodbye, Annie hung up leaving Deacon to wonder what trouble his son had gotten into this time. He pocketed his phone before making his way back over to the table.
“That was Annie. Mathew's school asked me to come in. Think you could spare me for a bit?” Deac looked towards Hondo, eyebrows raised. Hondo went to say “Yes” but Tan interrupted.
“I don't know, we may need your help with separating all of these M&M’s by color.” Deacon looked down at the small bowls of peanut candies, before laughing and shaking his head. He patted Tan on the back before swiftly making his way to the locker rooms.
After a rather uneventful ride through mid-day LA traffic, he ended up at his child's school. He parked and entered the lobby. The receptionist asked him to sit and wait for the Counselor to come grab him. He thought back to the last school counselor and recalled a hoard of parents having problems with him. He wondered if the crappy counselor would be the one to grab him, or if they had finally replaced him.
He hadn't yet considered entering the dating scene. Not since Annie and him finalized the divorce. It wasn't the messiest, but he hadn't met anyone to go through a “clean” divorce either. It wasn't that he was still in love with Annie, but he was more concerned with getting split custody figured out. Not to mention work, which takes up most of his mental and emotional capacity.
That's why he was in shock as the counselor came out to greet him. She was tall, her heeled boots only furthering the gap between the nearby counter and her waist. She was wearing a floral dress with poofy sleeves. Her curled brunette hair perfectly framing her face. Deacon felt his heart flutter, which shocked him. He hadn't felt that since…
“Mr. Kay?” She made her way over to Deac. Oh lord, her voice. He stood and shook her hand. He tried to shove down any unrelated thought but ended up making a fool out of himself trying to tell her he was Mr. Kay. Despite him stumbling over his words, she nodded along. Her hand extended to the office behind her, and she began walking down the hallway, urging him to follow her.
“I'm Ms. (L/N). Thank you for agreeing to meet with me, Mr. Kay-” She began.
“Davids, fine.”
“Alright. Thank you for meeting with me, David. I reached out to Mathew's mother, but I’m glad you were the one to show up” She explained as they made it to her cozy office. She sat in an armchair and gestured for him to sit in the chair beside her. He was confused but got comfortable in the maroon chair regardless.
“Mathew has been in my office a couple times, to talk about things on his mind.” She continued. Annie had mentioned something about Matt seeing the counselor, but he didn't want to pry too much.
“Mathews' English teacher expressed some concerns with his personal narrative. After one of our meetings, he asked me to show you his essay.” She passed over a stapled paper.
“Was it something he didn't want to share out loud?”
“Sometimes children find it difficult to explain or convey messages face to face. Mathew’s writing is beautiful, and that's why I think you'll want to skim through it.” She furrowed her eyebrows slightly. Deacon swallowed and looked down at the essay his son worked on. While he read the counselor stood and made her way toward the window, giving him space to work through the well-written essay. His son was pouring his heart out, talking about how his dad’s work and his morals are shaping him into an amazing person. Deacon almost teared up at the amount of pride Matt had in his dad. Reading through the essay helped Deac understand the weight of the divorce on Matt, and how he wanted to support his siblings and be the “Deacon” when his dad wasn't there.
He looked up to see the counselor looking down at her nails, done for the current season. His heart swelled for his son, but he was also impressed with how dedicated the counselor was to helping connect families. She looked up and met his eyes, then smiled.
“You're welcome to take that with you, share it with Mathews mother if you think that'd help at all.” They stared at each other, a level of awkwardness settled between them with the mention of Deacon's Ex-wife.
“I appreciate you bringing this to my attention. This whole… situation has been difficult to navigate, for everyone.” Deacon thought out loud, she nodded along.
Her eyes shifted to her desk, “I told Mathew that I was his age when my folks got divorced. He reminds me a lot of myself when I was younger. David, Mathew is brilliant and his writing skills are something not many people see at his age.” She made her way back to the armchair, and sat, her hands settling in her lap.
“He really is. I heard some pretty awful things about the last counselor,” He paused to witness her laugh. He could feel his insides warm; He wanted to hear that sound for the rest of his life. “Which is why I’m so glad my kids have a solid support system in their school. Do you have kids, Ms. (L/N)?” He looked up, making a mental note to talk to Mathew later. She let her eyes meet him again. Allowing herself to feel some excitement that he cared to ask about her life.
“Oh, I don't. I get my fair share of them here.” It was her turn to make him laugh. She noticed his eyes lingered on her for a moment longer than she would've expected.
“I’m sure of it, I spend a couple hours with my youngest, and I start thinking in toddler. What made you want to become a counselor?” He crossed his arms.
“I've always been interested in psychology, and like I said, I went through a rough time when I was Mathew's age. So it led me here. ” She gestured to the office surrounding them. He nodded along as if it were the most interesting thing he'd heard in days. Every shred of information she gave him only made him want to know more. The light blush across her cheeks told him that she might want to know more about him too.
"And you? What led you to SWAT?” They exchanged small talk before the phone on the desk rang. She excused herself before grabbing the phone. Deacon took this time to take in the cozy office. The maroon chairs paired well with the rest of the olive interior. He took it she was an artistic type. He found photos carefully placed along the walls, ones from all over the world. He recognized the Eiffel Tower behind her in one of them. In another she was in front of Chichen-itza. Other spots on the wall were filled with paintings, most of them portraits.
“Yes… I understand. Yeah, we can reschedule… Tomorrow works, 2pm..? Alright. Good. Have a good day… Thank you!” She placed the phone back on the dock before turning back to him. “Sorry about that, David.” She held her hands together in her lap and sat on the corner of her desk.
They talked about simple things, for a couple more minutes before Deacon received a text from Hondo, telling him where to meet for a case. He stood and shot her an apologetic look.
She laughed, “It’s no worry. Thank you for stopping in. I'm glad you got to read Matt’s essay. I hear there are some really great writing camps and competitions coming up. I think your encouragement could go a long way for him.” She smiled, something he noticed she did the majority of their time together.
“Of course. I didn't realize how much of a way my boy had with words. I'll talk to him more about it tonight. Thank you, Ms, (L/N).” He moved towards the door.
“Please, call me (F/N).” Her blush came back even brighter. He felt bolder, now that she got a little more personal with him. He decided to shoot his first shot in decades and pray it hit somewhere.
“Well (F/N), If it's not too forward of me… Maybe we can get to know each other a bit more over dinner?” The moment the words left his mouth he felt nervousness making his body feel heavier. He couldn't help his hands from fumbling with each other. She was gorgeous, and a little younger than him. Not to mention his kid’s school counselor.
His racing thoughts were stopped in their tracks by her voice. “I’d like that a lot. I know a Mediterranean place that serves the best paella. ” She looked to him for confirmation.
“Sounds great,” He wrote his number down on a nearby sticky note and passed it to her. “I can't wait to hear more about those pictures on the wall.” He took one last look at the picture of her in front of the Eiffel Tower, before backing out of the office. She laughed and waved him off.
“I'll text you.”

Ebullience - Cassian x Reader
masterlist
Summary: Y/n tells Cassian they're expecting. (Eudaemonia - Part 2) Meaning: "an intense feeling of excitement and enthusiasm" Word Count: 702 Warnings: Mentions of pregnancy.
------------
They hadn't been trying. But at the same time, they hadn't done anything to prevent it either.
Having only been mated to Cassian for over five years, the topic of children hadn't been so much as touched. Both Y/n and Cassian had been more than content to take the role of doting uncle and aunt in Nyx's life.
And yet now, Y/n found herself lying on a table in Madja's shop, trying to come to terms with it all.
A baby...
They were having a baby...
A squeeze to Y/n's hand brought her out of her thoughts, and she turned to see Madja's gentle, knowing smile.
"Everything happens for a reason dear, remember that."
The words resonated through Y/n's head the entire way home. So distracted by this new information, that she didn't hear the beating of powerful wings before a body landed beside hers.
Y/n jumped, hands circling around her stomach out of instinct.
"Mother above Az, are you trying to give me a heart attack?"
Azriel's brows furrowed in confusion.
"You didn't hear me coming?"
Y/n blushed. She was hardly ever caught off guard. Cassian had trained her well, and Azriel knew this for a fact.
Suddenly, Azriel sniffed the air, and his confusion quickly melted into pure excitement.
"Are you really?" he asked, a bright smile lighting up his tanned face.
Y/n sighed. She'd been hoping Cassian would be the first to know, but Cauldron knew that this family wasn't known for secrets being kept secret. News always travelled amongst them.
"Yes, but you can't tell anyone. Cassian doesn't know yet."
Azriel nodded in understanding before offering her his arm.
"I'll walk you home."
"Overprotective, Illyrian bastards," Y/n said, rolling her eyes playfully.
Azriel's grin simply widened as they walked through the streets of Velaris.
-----------
"Is it true? Are you pregnant?"
Y/n almost fell off the kitchen stool when Rhysand suddenly appeared before her, having winnowed from Cauldron knows where.
"Azriel told you didn't he?" she asked, pinching the skin between her brows in irritation.
The shield she had erected would be useless if her family couldn't keep their mouths shut.
Rhysand's smile only grew.
"So it is true! Congratulations sister!" he said, embracing her.
It brought Y/n great comfort, to know that this babe would be loved unconditionally.
"I don't suppose this means you'll let Cass come home early from his mission, will you?" she asked as they separated.
"As a matter of fact, your mate is on his way now."
Y/n beamed.
He was coming home. He was coming home to her. He was coming home to them.
Y/n watched Rhysand walk towards the kitchen door.
"Oh, I've also had a few warriors placed at the front door. For safety you know," Rhysand said, narrowly missing the shoe Y/n flung at him.
"Overprotective, Illyrian bastards..." she muttered to herself.
-----------
It was late into the evening when Cassian returned to their home. Y/n had been sitting on the couch when their front door opened, revealing the massive form of her mate.
"Hello, my love," she said as she stood up from her spot, walking over to embrace the large male.
Cassian gladly took her in his arms, breathing in her citrus scent. Not even a moment later, he froze.
With her head buried in his shoulder, Y/n could barely hold back her grin. She'd dropped the shield seconds after he'd returned home, allowing him to identify the difference in her scent.
Gently, Cassian manoeuvred them so that they were looking each other in the eye.
The sight of him was beautiful. Tan skin flushed with joy. Hazel eyes watering slightly but overflowing with love. And his smile...
His smile was simply breathtaking.
"I'm going to be a dad?" he managed to choke out, the tears now openly flowing down his face.
Y/n felt her own tears begin to soak her cheeks.
"You're going to be a dad, Cassian," she said, a palm coming up to brush the tears from his face.
He let out a breathy laugh, wrapping her in his muscled arms.
"Thank you... You've made me the happiest male alive."
-----------

Summary: Now that your life has turned upside down, are you still willing to put your siblings' feelings first? Or would you rather fight for your feelings and do what makes you happy regardless of the consequences that might result in the future?
Next || Conrad Fisher x fem!reader || My blog
Warnings: S2 SPOILERS! angst, mentions of death, swearing (lmk if i missed anything!)
SEQUEL TO BEFORE EVERYTHING HAPPENED.
───────────────────────────
Belly's Pov
Susannah passed a long time ago, it's been a long time since everything went downhill. After Susannah passed, a lot of things happened.
Me and Conrad broke up -- well we decided to take a break to focus on much more important things, like me with my studies and volleyball, him with his mom and also college. We got together again but it didn't work out because we became distant.
I was fired as captain for our volleyball team, I just couldn't focus and totally chickened out -- my mind was full of Susannah and Conrad. I got into a fight with my brother, he basically called me selfish, blamed me for ruining his party, his life just because I fell in love.
My sister won't come out of her room, it felt like she was gone too. She doesn't talk to anybody besides Steven. Conrad and Jeremiah would often reach out to her but she never answers them, she shut everyone out.
We're on our way to the beach house after going to Brown, to look for Conrad. He's been missing classes and hasn't been coming home to his dorm, that's what his roommate said -- so now me and Jeremiah are headed there to find him.
That was always that we thought of that he would go to, after all it was always his safe place.
──────────────────────────
Me and Jeremiah arrived at the beach house. All the memories went back, the laughter, the pranks -- everything but it doesn't feel the same, going back here.
Back then, there was excitement, there was joy. But now -- all I felt was fear, I didn't know what to feel, I don't know what I'll say to Conrad. I don't know what to do if I went inside the beach house,
Jeremiah went inside before me. "What is it now Conrad?" I heard Jeremiah say as I walked inside the beach house.
"The house is for sale." Conrad said, as I walked in the living room -- he turned to me. "What do you mean the house is for sale" I asked, looking at both him and Jeremiah.
"What is she doing here?" Conrad asked Jeremiah, his brows furrowed.
It was weird, it felt like a knife was stabbed in my heart. I felt offended, I felt hurt. This wasn't the Conrad that I fell inlove with.
Conrad explained everything, how Aunt Julia was selling the house. Apparently, after Susannah's death, the house was passed to Aunt Julia. Conrad tried calling his dad but his dad says that the house is legally Aunt Julia's and we can't do anything about it. He also asked his dad if he can buy it but no, he doesn't have the money to do that.
It was his safe place. It was everyone's safe place, everyone loves the beach house, it was our second home. We basically grew up here. Everything in here was Susannah, is Susannah. It was a special place for all of us, it always will be.
"So this is why you haven't answering my calls or going to school?" Jeremiah crossed his arms, brows furrowing.
Conrad groaned "Fuck school! I don't care!"
"Connie you need to go back or you will fail your classes!" Jeremiah yelled at him -- trying to bring some sense in Conrad.
"How are you going to become a doctor if you fail your college classes, Conrad?" I said -- my voice filled with Concern. He was my ex but he was also my bestfriend. I still care for him.
"You have no idea what you're talking about." Conrad said, pointing at me. My brows furrowed, I looked at Jeremiah.
"Seriously?" Jeremiah asked Conrad -- defending me. "We went to Brown to check on your ass. You really don't give a shit on anyone but yourself." Jeremiah said before walking away. Conrad sighed before turning his back on.
He won't even look at me. I totally understand him, after the funeral, after our fight, we never talked again. "Sorry if me being here is weird" I paused "But just let Jeremiah help you, let us help you. This house is important to me as much as it is important to you. If Jeremiah wants to stay here then that's his decision to make, not yours"
He just looked at me before hesitating, it was like he wanted to ask me something but he couldn't, he couldn't bring himself to say it. I knew that it was about my sister. Even when we were together back then, there wasn't a time where he didn't ask me about her, I get it. She was his bestfriend.
"Look, if you're going to ask me about my sister, she's not here." I said before sitting down on the couch.
"Oh" Conrad whispered under his breath -- looking down.
"She hasn't been talking to anybody. She basically shut everyone out so I doubt that she'll come here, not after Susannah passed, but maybe you can get something out of her. After all she's your best friend." I said.
Conrad looked at me -- I smiled at him gently "I-I don"t think so, I've been texting her all this time, everyday.. but she hasn't responded to any of my texts."
"Well have you told her about the house?" I asked. Conrad shook his head no, "You should, maybe that'll make her come here, you never know" I smiled at him.
Conrad looked at me and nodded before pulling his phone out — turning around then walked towards the door.
──────────────────────────
Conrad's Pov
I would be lying if I said that I wasn't disappointed when I didn't see Y/N come in to the view. I'm not saying that I hate Belly being there, but Its just — I feel like Y/N would make it much better — make me feel better, maybe she can get some sense in me — after all, she knows me very well.
Before Belly told me that, I pulled out my phone to text Y/N. I've been messaging her everyday, wanting to know if she's okay, waiting for her response.
I know how much Mom's passing affected her, Mom was like a mother to her too, everyone knew how special their bond is — she was Mom's special girl — will always be.
I went and clicked on my message app and started to text Y/N. I told her about the beach house, hoping that it would make her come here. This house was special to her too, I know how much important it is to her. This is where we all had those happy memories, we had to make it stay that way.
I clicked sent before turning my phone off and putting it in my right pocket. I reached on my left pocket, fidgeting with the small box that contains an infinity ring. The infinity ring that I was supposed to give Y/N before we had that talk about me, Belly and her. ───────────────────────────

Wakfu OVA - Book 3, Dragon Mountain [PART 1]
Amalia he is handing you all out the Twelvian equivalent of six nuclear devices.
Amalia: [asks Joris]
Kerubim: [replies instead of Joris]
Second most batshit thing he's doing after the whole "speaking over him in private" thing. He's so evil dad energy.
Joris having to do the thing most of us know as "mom stooop she already got it."
AND after Keke stops talking he starts answering the question she asked him himself.
Once again, what seems like a normal interaction to most, is a goldmine to me.
Literally the funniest possible thing a guy who keeps losing Dofus, and had to stop being Ebony's guardian due to "interpersonal issues with the dragon", can say.
I never mentioned this previously, but one really cool detail is that even though he probably can't use them, the Dofus do react to Joris's touch — thanks to his dragonized nature.
Since the OVAs came out before the movie, this drove a lot of people a little bit crazy.
Big fan of Atch and Keke standing silently and looking vaguely worried about things.
I'M INSANE.
OF COURSE KERUBIM CREPIN WOULD REACT TO THIS. HE'S DAD.
I can read into things soooo well. I can read into them so easily. It comes like breathing to me.
[puts on tinfoil hat] Yes Kerubim wants to come back home together with Atcham and Joris, but also, Kerubim is seen pushing Joris towards his responsibilities, so I wonder if he feels a sense of guilt for the person Joris has become (guy who will die if he isn't saving the world).
lL;sdf;epor21301;;;; aksdkmaljwijahcfaw j
Anyway, I'm liking the fact that Kerubim and Atcham decided not to come with. Letting Joris have fun (type 3 fun, to be exact) with his friends <3 without making him feel weird by hovering around.
I have thought for years what Joris allowing Yugo to risk the end of the world for Tristepin might mean for his character. It doesn't feel out of character, far from it, — though it would be just as in-character if he was (softly) against this.
I think it's just one of Joris's many multitudes. He has very strong ("strong") morals, until people he cares about are involved.
Besides that, as someone who was alive before Ogrest's Chaos, I do think he'd love for the flooding of the world to stop, which might also be a factor in him not resisting the Brotherhood of Tofu's dangerous decisions here.
Just like OVA 2 was win after win after win after win for Crepinjurgenites, I think this OVA is kind of a big win for Adamai and Yugo fans.
Anyway the way Joris and Ruel are watching this happen is so fucking funny I can't. They really said 😬 and 😐
Joris hesitates before joining in.... because he's not a part of their friend group (but he wishes he were)
Personally, I think he joined in after seeing Otomai do so. It felt less awkward/presumptious. We don't see him lay his hand on Ruel — it cuts away to Otomai before that happens, which makes me consider this possibility.
OVA 3 makes me wish for an alternate season 3 that doesn't suck ass and actually handles Adamai's arc well. My suffering is so real and poignant.
THAT'S WHAT I WAS TALKING ABOUT. HE WAS SILENTLY STANDING THERE THINKING "Adamai is right though..." and doing NOTHING. Because he's sick in the head.
GET SCARED.
When I first watched the OVAs, I thought that these were all his past lives, and not the fucking Eliotropes. I wish life was kinder 😔
Joris "50 traumagenic psychological disorders" Jurgen ready to attack things at the drop of a hat like a wild animal.
Cutie-patootie shielding his eyes and groaning all pissed off at Yugo for doing whatever scary shit he just did.
Staring at Otomai.
While Otomai is staring at him.
He replies to her as if his own reaction to this wasn't O_O
Ngl I feel like having Grougalorasalar (the #coguette #female manipulator dragon), Dardondakal (??? the cringe warcrime dragon), and Goultard's Gay Lover Doomed By The Narrative inside your head would give anyone brainrot that leads them to cause an apocalypse to happen.
AND there are three other guys in there. And all six of them are eating holes into his brain.
Your honor, Ogrest just had a silly little time and we should forgive him for it.
[clears throat and approaches the mic] Ogrest and Otomai are good but. What if another father-son duo also had a scene where the son threatens to hurt his father if he doesn't leave him alone. Wouldn't it be cool. Haha. There are tons of father-son duos in this franchise! Tumblr user @jorisjurgen, also known as @kerubimcrepin, is not pointing at any pair of characters in particular — I just think a son should threaten to kill his father at least once more in this franchise.

rich bitch ! vienna carlisle-washington ❥ fem! childhood friend! reader, part 1
reader is assumed fem in this one. although gender is not heavily mentioned, use of the petname "pretty girl" and extensive mentions of reader in dresses is included. brief nsfw mention but no explicit scenes. no use of y/n.
─ [ . : 。✿ ]
"c'mon darling, let me take you shopping," vienna batted her lashes, pretty brown eyes wide and pleading. "please?"
"that's all you ever wanna do!" you protested. "and you never buy anything for yourself! you just waste all your money on me."
"oh, don't be silly," vienna waved you off. "it's far from all my money. i still have plenty more."
"vienna," you said, seeming exasperated enough that the girl decided to change her approach.
"look, sweetpea," she said, guiding you to sit next to her on her luxuriously soft bed. "i don't see it as a waste. you know gift giving's my love language." she was big on that stuff. love languages. personality types. demographics of any kind. anything to analyze everything about a person, break down every bit of information to give her the upper hand. or, as you saw it─ how she framed it so you only saw it as this─ she was just a naturally curious person. a little knowledge never hurt anyone, right? "and you know there's no one i love like you." she stared into your captivating eyes, memorizing once again each little shade and hue within them. then, deciding to soften her words, she looked away. "you're the only real friend i've ever had," she admitted quietly.
you sighed, and nodded. "i know," you mumbled sadly. you'd made many attempts to encourage her to branch out, but god was she stubborn. she insisted everyone out there just wanted her for her money. "i just feel uncomfortable sometimes when you spend so much money on me. i mean, you literally bought me a BMW last week, i just can't─"
"but you can," vienna cut you off very gently, her voice sweet as sugar. "i have more money than i know what to do with. you're living paycheck to paycheck. and you're my best friend. it's the least i can do, yeah?" she smiled softly. then her voice got a little lower, a little deeper. "besides... it's not like you can't help me in return?"
"of course, vi," you whispered. god, that little nickname was precious. much better than the way you'd uttered her name, oh so frustrated, before. "what do you want me to do?"
god, just look at you. so pretty, so trusting, so vulnerable. it made her want to just ravish you. it made her want to press you into her bed, kiss you senseless, and feel you come undone on her fingers.
but she couldn't. not yet anyway. a couple things needed to line up first. backup plans after backup plans waiting so nothing could get in her way.
so, instead of fucking you into the mattress, she smiled. "my dad's hosting a gala next friday night. i need a plus-one, someone my dad likes and someone i won't go crazy tolerating all night. you're the only one who can be both."
"so...?" you looked up at her, tilting your head just a little, not even realizing it.
"so come with me, darling."
you looked at vienna. your childhood best friend. the only one who'd stuck by you for so long. and the answer was easy. "of course," you promised. "i'll be there."
vienna clapped her hands together happily, beaming from ear to ear. "yay!" she cheered. "thank you, thank you, this means everything to me!"
you laughed fondly at her ecstatic antics.
"y'know... since you're coming to the gala, you're gonna need a dress."
"oh, no."
"you know what that means?"
"please, no, i already have a─"
"shopping time~!"
"...fine."
vienna loved going shopping with you. it combined her two favorite loves. spoiling you, providing everything you could need or want, proving she could give you the world. and seeing you in pretty outfits she picked out for you. she loved to dress you up in all these frills, like a cute little doll.
so she ran you through store after luxury store. had you try on what felt like a million dresses, and banned you from looking at the price tags.
each time you stepped out of the dressing room in a new gown, her response was the same. she'd gasp. "oh look at you, my pretty girl! you look so stunning!" she'd have you twirl around. "wow, i can't believe you don't model..." she'd hum. "but... this isn't the one. we need something perfect." then it was back to the drawing board.
she practically dragged you through a dozen stores, tried on hundreds of dresses, until finally... you found the one.
it was a pale blue, floor length gown with shimmering all over the bodice, as well as a boned corset made from pearls. it was gorgeous, the most beautiful thing you'd ever laid eyes on. and when you stepped out to reveal it to vienna, she was silent. awestruck.
"what do you think, sweetpea?" she sounded breathless. "do you like it?" her fingers crossed behind her back.
"i love it," you admitted.
"perfect," vienna smiled. the first step was completed. no backup plans needed.
─ [ . : 。✿ ]
❛ when will you realize? vienna waits for you ❜
part 2 (the gala) coming soon !

Been thinking about the Goldenheart/Nimona family dynamic, so here are some headcanons pertaining to the sillies as parents
While Nimona is functionally their adopted child in many ways, she also isn't. She's their sidekick, roommate, best friend, mentor, mentee, child, sibling, all rolled into one chaotic shape-shifting gremlin who lives in their house
I do think however that at some point, the family would adopt a child (besides Nimona) that they could actually raise
Based on what's seen in the show I imagine Ballister to be an orphan himself with a childhood very similar to that of Comic Ambrosius, this weird rambunctious little sad orphan kid who wants to prove himself more than anything. I think he would totally want to raise the family he never had and give it to a little orphan kid like him.
Ambrosius I think would want to raise a family as well, he radiates dad energy, but really wouldn't want anyone else to have to deal with the Legacy of Gloreth on their shoulders, so he'd want to adopt rather than try and father any biological children. Plus he sees his beloved husband in all those sweet little babies at the orphanage and by default that makes him love them so much.
We already know Nimona is good with kids. I feel like people don't bring that up because she's pretty alternative and in our society, liking kids is seen as somewhat trad (especially for a person with an even remotely feminine presentation) but it's obvious that she has a soft spot for them. She puts herself in danger just to comfort a little girl who was frightened, she is devastated by children's learned fear and hatred of her. Anyway what I'm saying is she would totally be like "ew, a child, keep it away" then proceed to be the absolute best uncle/aunt/sibling/godparent/mentor/friend imaginable. She would shapeshift into a little kid to play with them, or into animals like when she used to play with Gloreth. If they were adopted as an older child (not a baby) I think they'd glom to her first because she can make herself very physically non-threatening whereas two battle-scarred brick shithouses can't really do much to change how imposing they look besides trying to be as nice as possible.
I can imagine Ambrosius being a stay-at-home dad because while Ballister was actively extremely ambitious about his career, Ambrosius was just kind of shoved into it with no choice, and expected to be perfect. I can imagine him burning out and going like "Nope. Don't want that. Never wanted that, actually. I'm going to stay home and play Legos with my baby and the creature that lives in my house." Not to mention, while both the boys have dad energy, I think Ambrosius is more of an extrovert and would be less likely to get mentally burned out taking care of a little kid all day
One particular situation I like to imagine is them coming home from a date night after leaving Baby with Nimona and opening the door to see she's shapeshifted into one of them to calm the baby down. They are both screaming crying throwing up over how sweet it is before Nimona can try to explain themself away.
#ballister boldheart#ambrosius goldenloin#goldenheart#nimona#the sillies#they'd be such good dads yall...
