I love my Lorcan Scamander so much, like... he’s a freak, he’s obsessive, he’s a nerd, he loves literature, he’s an misanthrope, he’s a hater, he plays d&d, he loves his brother deeply, he’s the personification of envy, he fell in love with albus and it ruined him forever, he’s a princess, he’s a bad person, he pretends to like black coffee for the aesthetic, he has no idea of how to comfort people, he considers scorpius his nemesis but scorpius barely knows who he is, he forced hogwarts to allow dogs as pets so he could bring his own dog with him, he’s the most likely to kill someone
#guys he’s such a freak in our little world it’s so funny#he’s deranged#he’s a number one hater#he’s my princess#too bad the only one who can match his freak is in love with someone else#rip lorcan I love to think about you unrequited love#and your unrequited beef with said unrequited love’s crush#also we pitted him and rose against each other academically and it’s sooo funny#they poison each other during they’re last year (bc of finals) and end up in the infirmary#this will lead to them becoming best friends#i love them#anyway yeah idk how me and my friend ended up developing this barely existing character so much#but he’s our son now#our problematic son#lorcan scamander#albus severus potter#scorpius malfoy#hp next gen#next gen kids#next gen headcanons

Additional thoughts:
Obviously, Autobot vs Decepticon, but I've said before and I'll say again Soundwave is just about the only member of Con high command that Cliff doesn't have personal beef with, either his own or on behalf of his teammates. So. If/when the War ends, I could absolutely see him going "welp. If nobody else is gonna talk to this guy..." and finding something to chat about. Or maybe just tossing datafiles of music from a safe distance.
#ask game#signalintercept#as much as I write Cliff n Sierra taking roadtrips#and singing along with the radio loud as they can#he'd absolutely just chill with Soundwave and some tunes#work they way up to actual conversation#but only after everyone's finished hitting each other

You never forget your first chicken-cilantro dog garnished with Caesar salad. The first time I ordered one was in autumn 2003, at Jeff’s Gourmet Sausage Factory, a small, glass-front eatery on a stretch of West Pico Boulevard in Los Angeles known for its yeshivas (Jewish schools focussed on Talmud study) , mezuzah shops and plethora of kosher markets and bakeries. Opened by owner Jeff Rohatiner in 1999, Jeff’s (referred to colloquially as such) is something of a legend in L.A. On any given weekday you can find an eclectic mix of customers — students from the Chabad school a few blocks down, stroller-pushing moms in long skirts and sheitels (wigs), teenagers in sports jerseys and shorts — sitting at a sidewalk table outside of Jeff’s feasting on one of its popular fleishig menu items, from the classic Western burger to the spicy beef and lamb merguez.
In 2003, I was not yet married (or divorced; that would come more than a decade later), living in Santa Monica in a one-bedroom apartment within walking distance of the beach and a row of coffee joints and fruit smoothie stands. But there were no kosher restaurants within a solid 7-mile radius.
Thanks to a boyfriend whom I met at a friend’s Rosh Hashanah dinner and was the son of an East Coast rabbi, I discovered Jeff’s one balmy October afternoon. Said boyfriend suggested the chicken-cilantro dog — I mean, what a genius concept, a chicken hot dog laced with cilantro and topped with salad. It was love at first bite.
The boyfriend didn’t last — he went on to marry a girl far more adept at the culinary arts than I would ever be; and I went on to marry (and divorce) a culinary wizard with whom I now co-parent two teenage children. But it was on that fateful autumn day in 2003, in that liminal space between Yom Kippur and Sukkot, that my obsession with Jeff’s kosher chicken-cilantro hot dog took eternal root.
For years, it was my go-to lunch whenever I found myself in the Pico-Robertson section of town. I’d pick up to-go orders on my way home from meetings with Hollywood executives and editors at various publications. Later, after moving to L.A.’s eastside, an hour’s drive at the height of traffic, I’d take my kids to Jeff’s for dinner. My friend Ale and I would head to Jeff’s on Sundays where, over frothy, ice-cold Cokes — another amazing thing about Jeff’s: it carried the soda fountain crushed ice — we’d unpack topics ranging from parenthood to episodes of “Shtisel.” I’d buy the frozen packs for later use in pastas, sliced up and grilled and twirled around a fork with fettuccine. It was the ultimate comfort food, the pinnacle of hot dog glory. There were nights on which I craved that chicken-cilantro dog with a desperate, fiery ache.
Then the pandemic struck. And like restaurants globalwide, Jeff’s was forced to pare back its menu. My beloved chicken-cilantro hot dog, topped with fresh Caesar salad and served in a toasted French roll, was yet another casualty of COVID-19.
I mourned its loss like one would a photo scrapbook destroyed in a house fire, like a silly schoolgirl would an unrequited crush. It was absurdist the extent to which I navigated this heartbreak. For months — years — I could not, would not, accept that it was gone. I wanted to continue to support Jeff’s, and I did. I’d turn up and stand in line, perusing the available items printed on menus taped to the folding table functioning as a makeshift outdoor ordering counter and cashier. And when I approached the front of the line, even though the chicken-cilantro dog was nowhere to be found, I would ask for it regardless, knowing full well the dreaded answer to come: “We no longer serve that here.”
I was steeped in unmitigable denial over that chicken dog. It was unfathomable to me that it had vanquished like a blast of air. “I’m sorry,” the man at the counter would say, remnants of flour and hamburger bun clinging to his yellow Jeff’s Gourmet Sausage Factory T-shirt. “It just wasn’t one of our more popular items.”
I sampled everything else there was to order — hamburger, hot dogs, the award-winning pastrami sandwich. They were fine. One could say they were even good. Excellent, in fact. But they weren’t my chicken-cilantro dog. Perhaps it was because so many other things had been snatched away — my marriage, my family life, the promise of domestic stability. Millions of people died during the pandemic, people lost their livelihoods, their homes. The loss of that chicken-cilantro hot dog represented more than just a menu item. It triggered that collective loss that stung so many of us on a global scale.
Then one day, I decided that enough was enough. I needed to fling myself into radical acceptance. So I walked over to Jeff’s. And I scrolled the menu. And some 20 years after that inaugural visit, I ordered something that I never had before: the fried chicken sandwich. Battered and fried, with a dollop of aioli spread across a brioche bun and a pile of kosher pickle chips on the side.
Was it the chicken-cilantro hot dog served with a mountain of Caesar salad? No. But it was also one of the best things that I have ever tasted. Crispy, juicy, fresh. In that moment, I truly understood that the world had changed. It was time to move on — to embrace new sandwiches.
To paraphrase F. Scott Fitzgerald, there are infinite kinds of love, but never the same love twice. The fried chicken sandwich will never be the chicken-cilantro dog, and to expect it to be is a fool’s errand. But the fried chicken sandwich at Jeff’s Gourmet Sausage Factory is plump, it is spicy — it is delicious. And it is part of a new culinary journey that is only just beginning.

Tell Me I'm Not Funny
Request: darkandmysteriousbutheartofgold!ellie and wholesomeanddoesn'tunderstandwhyelliedoesn'tlikeher!reader where they're both part of the friend group but ellie just thinks reader is straight and messing with her pls
Notes: I don’t usually write MCU!Peter, so if he comes up in any future fics (like as the reader’s stepdad 👀 I’ve loved spideypool longer than I’ve loved Negasonic) you can safely assume it’s Andrew Garfield. But, for this time, this is MCU!Peter. Everyone in the friend group is 18-20, just to be clear.
This really isn't my best work, but it's a fun little slice of life piece. A lot of my ideas are pretty cinematic, I can picture them in my head but sometimes those pictures don't really translate into words. I may revisit this one day.
Warnings: D-slur (reclaimed by Ellie in one line), allusions to prior assault (an unwanted kiss that could've been more had another character not stepped in), and that's about it. Oh, and a little swearing, but this is an imagine for a character from Deadpool. If you can't handle swearing, you're on the wrong blog.
Synopsis: You’re into Ellie, but she’s with your good friend Peter. She treats you like you don’t even exist, and in the few instances she does acknowledge you, it’s usually just to make some sarcastic remark. You’re head-over-heels, though, and decide to deal with your unrequited love by writing her a song she’ll never hear.
“Fuck, that movie was terrible,” Michelle groans. “I’m just glad it was a matinee show and we didn’t have to pay as much to see it.”
“The special effects were good, but can’t Disney just leave stuff alone?” Peter agrees.
“Next thing you know they’ll be making a live action Toy Story, as if the original wasn’t traumatizing enough. I don’t want to imagine Watermelon as a sentient being. She’s seen some shit,” you snicker.
“Who’s Watermelon?” Ellie asks with a dark chuckle, and you clam up. How had you forgotten she was here?
“Oh, uh, nobody.”
“Don’t tell me you still sleep with a stuffed animal,” she snarks. “You really do need to grow up.”
“Don’t be mean, Ellie,” Peter protests.
“Watermelon is cute, everybody likes cute things!” Yukio adds.
“I think a live-action Toy Story could be cool,” Ned says. “It’d look really good if they did stop-motion animation.”
“Oh, you’re right!” you chirp. “It’d be quite the undertaking, but it would look badass.”
“I think you’re using that term a little loosely,” Ellie grumbles, and you have to stop yourself from frowning, instead you laugh it off. Why does she always pick on you? Sure, she’s got a witty remark for everybody, but she’s way harder on you. It hurts, she really is so gorgeous and funny and mysterious and everything you want in a woman, but she acts like she can’t stand you.
Ellie and Peter head off together, Peter still hasn’t gotten around to getting his license and Ellie seems happy to give him a ride. You really don’t stand a chance.
You and the others pile up in MJ’s SUV for some late-night band practice.
“I don’t know if I can do it,” you admit to Yukio in the furthest row back.
“You can,” she insists. “You’re a way better singer than Lola, anyways.”
“I’m sorry about that. I didn’t mean to give her the wrong impression, I-”
“For the millionth time, Y/N, you didn’t. If she hadn’t left the band, we would’ve kicked her out. Not just for cheating on me, but for hurting you.”
“I guess,” you sigh. “Why can’t you sing instead?”
“Because I’m flat.”
“Yukio, breast size doesn’t have anything to do with singing ability, you’ve just gotta practice,” you joke.
“Shut up!” she giggles, punching you in the arm. “Plus, when you sing, the songs are being sung as they were written. We’re getting the real feelings.”
“Speaking of… I have something new I’m thinking about sharing tonight. Do you mind if I text you the demo?”
“Ooh, a first look! Hell yes!”
You text her the audio file and she puts in a wireless earbud, nodding along. Her smile gets wider and wider as she listens, and when she’s done, her assessment shocks you.
“Oh my gosh. You’re into Ellie.”
“What?!” you squeak. “No way!”
“You are! But, uh-”
“Don’t even say it. I know I don’t have a chance in hell. She only tolerates me for the sake of you and Peter.” Despite the gloominess of your tone, Yukio gets a mischievous glint in her eye, it confuses you. But, that’s just Yukio. Her thoughts are all over the place; she and Ellie balance each other out that way. They dated a couple of years ago, but it didn’t work out. They decided they were better off as friends.
“Screw that other song, we’re using this as the lead single. Everybody’s gonna love it, do you have the sheet music?”
“Yeah, uh, it’s in my bag.”
“Awesome.” Yukio’s grinning like she’s won something. Is the song that good? “We’ll have to practice this one a lot, we definitely need to have it ready by the concert this Friday.”
Right. Liz’s 19th birthday party. Apparently Peter had convinced her to let the band play, it’d be cheaper than hiring a more established artist.
“Our first paying gig? I don’t know if that’s a good idea,” you remind her. She scoffs and rolls her eyes.
“We’re mostly gonna be playing covers of Liz’s favorite songs, and she only has so many. We’ve gotta beef up the setlist with originals, and this is perfect! Has that pop-y fun vibe, it’ll fit right in.”
“Yeah, but if it’s that obvious how I feel about her after one listen-”
“Only because I already had a hunch after Daft Pretty Boys,” Yukio clarifies cheerily, and you sigh.
“Fair enough.”
The gang makes it to Michelle’s house, travelling down to the side door and going into the basement from there. MJ’s parents have encouraged her creativity from day one, and were ecstatic when the band was formed. You speculate that they’re mostly happy that she’s made friends. Writing and photography can be lonely hobbies.
“Y/N has something new for us!” Yukio chirps.
“That fast?” Ned’s surprised as you hand him the sheet music. He skims it. “Holy shit, this is a wicked solo! Thanks, Y/N!”
“Well, I’m hoping highlighting everybody else’s talent will disguise my lack thereof,” you chuckle.
“Don’t be stupid, we’ve all heard you sing backup,” MJ says. “You’re Ryan Ross, she’s Brendon Urie. I’m just glad we booted her out before she decided she was gonna be the only pangolin in The Pangolins.”
Everyone laughs at that.
“Let’s try it,” Michelle continues, and everybody agrees. After a sound check and a few runs of the song, it’s still clumsy, especially on your part. You’re not really used to playing and singing at the same time, outside of backup vocals, which require far less focus.
“I suck,” you mumble, but it happens to be into the microphone.
“You don’t!” Ned insists.
“With that attitude, we’re not going anywhere,” Yukio says. You hate it when she gets to the tough love stage of her support. You wish she’d stay in the shallow reassurances stage, it’s easier to brush off. “You wouldn’t be the lead singer if we all thought you sucked. We would’ve just put an ad in the paper. You’re awesome, get over it!”
You sigh.
“Fine. Thank you.”
“Say it,” she insists.
“I’m awesome,” you huff, it’s hard not to smile when Yukio tries to look serious.
“Damn straight,” Yukio says. “Or, I guess not, considering that was about Ellie.”
“Yukio!” you squeal.
“That’s about Ellie?!” Ned exclaims.
“Obviously,” MJ scoffs, fiddling with her tuners.
“Is it that obvious?!” You can’t help but feel embarrassed. Ellie probably knows exactly how you feel, maybe that’s why she dislikes you so much. Her boyfriend’s stupid friend has a crush.
“Wait, but at the beginning…” Ned trails off, before laughing. “Oh my gosh, I get it.”
“Get what? Oh… Y/N, have I ever told you how much I love you?” MJ asks.
“I- I love you, too?” You’re puzzled by their words, but you’ve got enough on your plate.
“Let’s go ahead and practice some of Liz’s favorites while we’re here,” Yukio suggests. “It’s a pretty big set list.”
You practice until dinner, getting a pizza and deciding to make a night of it since it was a little late for Michelle to be dropping you all off at your assorted residences.
You all sleep on a pallet in the basement, and despite your worries, you manage to get some rest.
Over the next few days, The Pangolins practice at every free moment, until it’s finally time for the party.
“So, just pictures of everything?” Oh, shit. She’s not supposed to be here. How are you supposed to sing that song with her here?
“Yeah! I know with how many people are coming, I’m probably not going to get as much time as I want with everyone, so pictures will be a good way to remember the night.”
“Why not just invite less people?” Ellie wonders.
“I want all my friends to be here,” Liz explains. “How’s the sound check going, Y/N?”
“It’s going great,” you say into the microphone, demonstrating the quality and volume with a smile. “Thanks for letting us play here tonight.”
“Well, Peter said you guys are great. Are you really gonna debut your best song so far tonight?”
“Oh, um,” you stutter, stepping away from the microphone. “Maybe not.”
“What? Oh, come on, please, it’ll make the night even more special! You’re playing covers of all my old favorites, sing me my new favorite!” Liz presses, but she’s not being demanding or bratty, she seems genuinely excited.
“If the birthday girl says so, who am I to say no?” you concede. Hopefully Ellie will be too distracted taking pictures. “You have way too much faith in me.”
“If you don’t quit with the self-deprecation, I’m gonna duct tape your mouth shut,” MJ interjects.
“But, Daddy, how will I say my safe word?” you tease, giggling at your own joke with the rest of the group. Yukio’s laugh seems the loudest. Ellie glares.
“We should practice a song!” Ned suggests.
“Ooh, a private show!” Liz seems excited.
“Any requests?” you ask her. Ellie’s resting scowl intensifies. If she’s more pissed off the more you open your mouth, you’re not sure how she’s gonna survive a night of you singing without going nuclear.
“Oh, oh, Girlfriend by Avril Lavigne, please?”
“You’ve got it,” you agree.
The song goes smoothly.
“What happened to the old singer?” Ellie asks, clearly unimpressed.
“You didn’t tell her?” you ask Yukio, grateful for the excuse to turn away from the sharp-tongued girl you adore.
“Didn’t want her to get the wrong impression,” Yukio explains. “She already makes enough rude comments towards you.” Yukio leans over her drum kit to give Ellie a pointed look.
“Oh, wait, shit, I didn’t mean it like that. You, uh, sound good, Y/N.”
You can’t help but whip your head back to look at her with a flabbergasted expression.
“What?! It’s true,” Ellie defends herself.
“Uh, yeah, but you just said something nice. About me. Liz, do you mind checking her for a fever?”
Liz obliges for the sake of going along with the joke before quickly withdrawing her hand.
“Jeez! I know you were kidding, but she’s burning up,” Liz declares.
“My internal temperature is higher due to my mutation,” Ellie quickly explains, looking a bit bashful. “Besides, I say nice shit about Y/N all the time.”
“No, you don’t,” the whole band says in unison, including you.
“Well, clearly I shouldn’t if everyone’s gonna make a big fucking deal about it,” she retorts, rolling her eyes. “I’m gonna go get some pictures of the decorations before there’s a bunch of fucking people here to block them.”
She stomps off in her heavy boots, and The Pangolins get back to work, putting on the final touches and making sure all the blocking looks right.
Soon enough, guests start flooding in, and Liz zips around to greet them, eventually meeting up with Peter and keeping him with her. He and Liz eventually pull Ellie away from her picture-taking, confident she’s done enough and needs to just relax and enjoy the party.
So much for distracting herself with work, she thinks.
They sit on the couch and eat, the dining room was monopolized by The Pangolins due to its elevation and space.
Ellie’s mesmerized by the way your fingers move until she hears Peter talking to Liz. They really are a cute couple.
“You really do need to hang out with us. Yukio told me Y/N thinks Ellie and I are a thing,” he says.
“Gross, you’re like my annoying little brother,” Ellie remarks.
“And you’re like my bitchy older sister,” Peter retorts with a shit-eating grin.
“Both of you, quiet! They’re about to play the new song. You’re in for a real treat, Ellie.”
“What does it have to do with me?”
Liz gives Peter a confused and slightly irritated look.
“I haven’t said anything to her, I didn’t know how,” Peter squeaks, blushing a little at the look in his girlfriend’s eyes.
“Explain, quickly,” Ellie demands.
But, then you start to sing again.
“Y/N-” Peter starts.
“Shut up.”
“But you asked-”
“I said, shut up,” Ellie insists.
“You know me as your boyfriend's goofy friend. I seem to have this effect on women, and your friends aren't as goofy as I am. I try my best to keep you entertained, always laughing at the jokes you are saying. I nod my head when you make a point, oh oh…
“Kiss me, kiss me with your eyes closed! Whisper that your heart shows all I want is you, yeah, you… Hold me, hold me I'm your bunny! Tell me I'm not funny, tell me I’m legit! ‘Cause I feel weak, in your hands and your feet… A precious end, I’ll never feel your touch…”
Ellie continues to listen to the song, all expression drained from her face. All the yearning in the words and your voice, all you want is…
Ellie looks at Peter, who’s looking at her with a triumphant smile.
“I told you.”
Ellie feels like she’s about to faint. She notices you’re talking to Liz— when did she leave? —your hand over your mic. Despite the knowledge that Liz is taken, Ellie gets jealous. You look so happy to be talking to Liz, to just about any girl you talk to.
She wishes you’d smile at her that way.
You nod at whatever Liz said, and the band starts packing away their instruments. Liz sets up her phone on some Bluetooth speakers, and songs that sounded so much better when you were singing them start to play.
No! Ellie internally protests. Sing for me again, please, sing that stupid song about how you think I don’t like you.
Yukio’s dragging you somewhere. Gosh, Ellie wishes it was her holding your hand.
Suddenly, though, you and Yukio are approaching her. She knows what she has to do.
“So, what’d you think of our- Eek! Finally!”
Ellie parts from the kiss to tell her to fuck off and not ruin the moment before kissing you again.
“Holy fucking shit,” you breathe. “Uh, I thought you were-“
“Dating Peter?! Seriously?! Do I need to write ‘dyke’ on my fucking forehead? I practically already have with the way I dress and act and-”
“I, uh, I try not to make assumptions,” you mumble, fingers touching your lips.
“I’m, uh, sorry for not asking.”
“No, it’s- It was good. I’ve wanted you to do that for a while. It’s just that that was the first time somebody’s kissed me, since, uh…” Your eyes dart to Yukio, who’s ruffling Ned’s hair and laughing.
“Yukio?!” Orange flickers in Ellie’s eyes for a moment, but she keeps it under control.
“No, no, of course not, uh… The old singer, Lola. She and Yukio were dating, but apparently I was the one she really had her sights on, and… She was entitled. Thought that because she wanted me, I must want her. That wasn’t really the case, I was already pining over you. Didn’t stop her from forcing a few kisses on me and trying to go further. If Yukio hadn't shown up early with cupcakes, I don’t know what would’ve happened.”
“I am such an asshole,” Ellie says softly. “Can I kiss you again? The right way.”
“I’d say what you did before was pretty right, but sure,” you consent.
Her kiss before had been rough, needy, and impatient. Just the way you like it. This, though, this is gentle, soft, and exploratory. You tangle your hands in her hair and kiss her harder. She moans into the kiss before pulling away, bewildered.
“That was…” Ellie trails off, trying to find a positive adjective that won’t sound to frilly or lovesick.
“A mistake, wasn’t it?”
“Oh, fuck, no. I’ve been wanting to do that for a long time,” she corrects you. “Just- Didn’t really know how. Even when you were kinda flirting with me at first, I just thought you were messing with me, so I- I am so stupid.”
“So am I,” you scoff. “I thought you were dating Peter.”
“I was spending a lot of time with him, but… I was just using him as an excuse to avoid you so I wouldn’t embarrass myself anymore. And I was asking him for advice. I figured if he could land somebody as far out of his league as Liz, maybe I stood the slightest bit of a chance with you. But I kept fucking it up. I’d just get so nervous, all of my compliments would turn into insults, all of my teasing turned into straight-up cruelty. I don’t know how you actually like me.”
“I’m a little bit of a masochist, I’ll admit,” you tell her. “I’m really glad you don’t hate me.”
“I’m really glad you don’t hate me,” Ellie replies, but she can’t help but think that what she‘s really saying is ‘I love you, too.’
She takes your hand, and you two rejoin your friends, swept up in a group hug. They wanted this to happen almost as much as you two did.

Imagine Shinso playing piano
• He learned this during his childhood, his grandma loved this instrument.
• So when Momo installed a piano in the common area, he decided to give it a try.
• His fingers slowly touched the piano keys, and "a letter to Elise" was here.
"Hope my name was Elise." you said
"Why, do you want a letter ?"
"No, I want to be played by your fingers"
"Smooth" Denki said in the back
Shinso smirked.
"Too bad in effect. But I can make you a tenth symphony if you join me there." he said, showing the piano bench where he sat
"Isn't the symphony where the compositors die ?"
"Yep"
"Die before be loved, sad for Shinso Hitobeethoveen"
"It depends on if my Elise was the reason of my death."
"You want me to kill you ?!"
"I don’t know, die crush in your gorgeous thighs seems a pretty good idea."
"Perv" you said with a smile
"Said the one who wanted to be played by my fingers."
You, both, laughed.
"True, so what are we gonna playing mister pianist ?" you said while you're sitting next to him
"The life, sadly."
"Shit, it already started, isn't it ?"
"Since we were born, if you believe the rumors."
"Hope I will continue my lifeway with you then and didn't finish in jail like the Monopoly."
"I will make a double to save you then." Shinso answered
"Sweet. But I will make you a 10th symphony before, darling."
"What will you put in it ?"
"My love for you. It will start with brutal violins like my crush started, first sight, first attraction. But the violins stopped."
"You found me ugly after you looked ?"
"Nah, I believed it was unrequited because you liked Denki."
"I'm not attracted to Pokémon."
"I know. Then after, the bass began again, but slowly after the discovery. And the piano added a la here, a sol here. Like my heart beats. Prudently because of fake hope and slowly because of my tragic past."
"You mean Tonny the tree who rejected everyone because he....is a tree who just said no ?"
"My heart was broken, stop the judging look."
"Don't judge, his leafs were sexy."
"His roots too."
You laughed.
"So, the drums arrived because you arrived in my social circle like that."
" Like a drum ?"
"Like a beef."
"Not sure, for the comparison."
"A horse ?" you tried
"…"
"A beautiful horse with a purple mane ?"
"..."
"And the triangle will make a ting ting before the violins became loud. Because I had fallen in love with you."
"A beautiful ting ting fall, I guess."
"The best."
"Your symphony will be good, but it doesn't have and end."
"It ends with the ting ting."
" But I thought our love was infinite O/N ? "
You blushed.
"You got me."
"I'm the pianist here, Mx."
"So I must listen to you ?"
"I prefer you act, but if you want it..."
You kissed him.
"Love the composition of your lips Shinsomozart"
"Love yours too, Y/N."

Curious (MJ × Fem!Reader)
Pairing: MJ×Fem!Reader, mentions of MJ×Peter, mentions (VERY briefly) of Peter×Reader and Ned×Reader
Warnings: Unrequited feelings, angst i guess?, drinking, swearing
Summary: “I’m just curious/Is it serious?” You have feelings for MJ, but she doesn’t feel the same way despite the secret kisses during sleepovers. One night you’ve had too much to drink after MJ abandoned you at a party to talk to Peter and Ned is pissing you off when the truth comes out.
A/N: this was originally a oneshot angst but im kind of already writing a sequel. So let me know if you like it.
Words: 4,871
You don't like drinking, but MJ had found and stashed a bottle of vodka in her room and you had drank almost the entire bottle. You had come over for an average sleepover, but as she talked more about Peter You found yourself eyeing the bottle more and more. You don't exactly know at what point you started drinking, all you know is she had one shot and hated it, but you were so consumed with forgetting that you lost track.
"Y/N." Her voice was a warning as she pried the bottle from you hands. "That's it. You're cut off."
You whined and reached for the bottle, but gave up pretty quickly when you felt your body buzz with each movement. You looked around the room, looked at all the pictures she had on one of her walls. Thats was what surprised you most about getting close to MJ- how secretly sentimental she was. She always acted so indifferent and uncaring about everything. Sometimes it was true, but she had a tell. You knew her tell better than anyone and it was what made your heart so full.
"I don't want to leave." You mumble, looking at your fingers. The feeling is distant and you wish it was gone. You wish you didn't have to feel anything in that moment. You and MJ were meant to raid a parties kitchen that night, as you usually do on a Friday night. But the more she talked about Peter the more you realized she only wanted to go to run into him.
"Well, you've done a good fucking job securing that, Y/N. I'm not letting you go anywhere this drunk." MJ turned away from you, grabbing some clothes from her dresser and grumbling to herself. She turned back around and threw clothes at you. "Put these on. I'm not letting you sleep in your dirty clothes."
You pout, looking down and pulling your shirt out. "It is not." You lean in and smell, head jerking back in response. "Woah! Ok. Don't know how that happened."
You both laugh for a moment, MJ more laughing at how useless you were in that moment.
"Hurry up. Turn around so i can change too." She twirls a finger in the air and your heart stops.
"R-Right." You turn around and take a long deep breath before taking your clothes off and quickly putting the clean ones- MJs- on. You turn around and freeze when you see her bare back. You could see her smooth dark skin matched with her light slightly frilly bra, unmatching pair of underwear to go along with. You watch her muscles move and you can't help but feel mesmerized. You watch as she bends down to pull on her pajama bottoms, and you begin to panic as she puts her shirt on. You turn to look at a wall opposite to her quickly enough for her to not notice you staring. Or maybe she did and didn't stop you. You would never know.
"Well, since we're clearly not going to be making that party, why don't you just get comfortable in bed?" She was by your side and you can't remember hearing her walk next to you.
You nod and she begins to walk you to the bed with an arm around your shoulder and suddenly you're both in bed with some show or movie playing in the background and MJ has an arm around you. You smile to yourself, knowing you may have gone overboard with the alcohol but in that moment you don't care because in her arms you are happy. You wrap an arm around her torso and squeeze, your face burying into her hair and breathing deep. She laughs and brings a hand to thread through your hair.
"Remind me to never let you drink again." She says, putting her phone that you didn't notice down. She turns to look you in the eyes, a genuine and gentle smile laid across her face.
You sigh and pull away from her slightly, just to get a better look at her. "You're so pretty." You say softly, and you grin as she looks away from you for a moment, trying to hide her smile but you can see through the facade.
"You should go to sleep." Her voice echoes through your head. You shake your head slightly and bring and hand up to cup her face, making her look back to you.
“I don’t want to.” You stare at her lips for just a moment before closing the distance.
Your lips stay on hers for just a few seconds, longer than you expected. The kiss is filled with so many emotions for you, emotions you didn't anticipate you would feel. Your heart is heavy, almost breaking and you can't figure out why. The kiss was gentle and short. You smile to yourself and keep your eyes closed as you pull away. Your brain doesn’t fully comprehend what you just did until MJ starts laughing. It’s not a light giggle but a roaring laugh that causes her to roll out of your grasp. Your heart sinks further and you frown at her.
“You are soooo drunk.” She says as she composes herself. You swallow and nod.
“Yeah, I guess I am.”
She turns back to you, pulling you close to her so that your head laid on her chest. You feel her chest rumble, telling you she's talking but you don't hear her. Your eyes are closed and you feel yourself falling asleep. You feel MJ move slightly and kiss the top of your head. "I love you." She says softly.
"I love you too." You mumble out, heart breaking knowing her love was different than yours.
MJ didn't understand. She would never understand. She never saw the way you looked at her, as if she were the moon on a starry night and you were the tide. She would pull you in behind closed doors, hand holds and secret kisses, but as soon as Peter came around she put enough distance between you two that you'd think your waves would drown the city.
Staring daggers into Peter, you didn't notice the body that found its way next to you.
"So…" You ignored them, the alcohol coursing through your veins and assuming they couldn't be talking to you. But after a few seconds, they continued. "Peter and MJ ignoring you too?"
Hearing his name made you jump and eyes snap to the person next to you. You groan when you meet Neds eyes, rolling your own.
"We were supposed to be home by now. Peter always ruins everything." The last part came out as more of a low mumble as you stare down at your drink. You didn't think Ned heard you, but he did. He shook his head.
"What's your beef with him, huh? MJ's your best friend and they like each other. Shouldn't you be, like, happy for her?" You whip your head back to look at him, giving him a deep frown.
"My beef, Ned Leeds, is that MJ was my friend first. He doesn't know her like I do, and he never will." You sneer at Peter again, watching as MJ laughs at something he said, looking down and tucking a hair behind her ear. Your stomach turns and you grind your teeth, deciding to down the rest of your drink.
Ned looks at you, then back to Peter and MJ, eyes suddenly widening. He leans in close and your heart skips a beat. He knows. "Nooo. You like Peter, don't you?"
You let a short, loud laugh, causing some people around you to give you a strange look before continuing their own conversations. Ned turns his head slightly in confusion.
"Sure, Ned." You hop off the counter, making your way to where booze was to get yourself another drink. "I like Peter."
"Woah."
"Yeah, I know."
You and MJ were laying in her bed, facing each other. You always ended up like this; your hand on her cheek, rubbing soft circles as you shared gentle kisses. You can't help but smile fondly at her. Your heart was so full. You knew she didn't, couldn't and wouldn't feel the same way towards you, but you would cherish these little moments forever. These moments after a night in together, where it's deep into the night and you're both tired and MJ is letting her walls down a little more, inviting you into bed and stealing kisses. They always started as quick cheek or forehead kisses, but her lips always found their ways to yours. You held these moments close to you because you knew any second they would be gone.
"Can I… kiss you again?" You rub your lips together and watch as MJ's eyebrows crease for a moment. You could tell she was deep in thought and you hated that she had to think so much about it.
"I'm not sure that's the best idea." Her voice is as low as a whisper. Part of you thinks she's just saying that to protect herself, but the other part knows better than that. You swallow and try not to let your face show how disappointed you are. You force a smile and rub her nose with yours, sitting up quickly.
"Ok." You say, but it comes out as more of a breath. "So, what movie are we watching now?"
MJ never left you alone at a party this long, and Peter to Ned. Ned was talking your ear off as you downed another drink, going on about how he knew you liked Peter and how it must suck watching your best friend falling for him and you just let him talk. If he kept talking then you wouldn't have to correct him. If he kept talking you wouldn't have to admit to another person you're in love with MJ. Eventually you tried to get away from Ned, only to have him follow you like a puppy. You put your hands over your ears to try and block out his voice which you were now finding annoying. You tried to lose him by going into a room, but the alcohol was making you react slower.
"What are we doing in here?" Ned says, looking around the room when he turns to you, eyes wide. "Are you going to tell me more about your crush on Peter?" You roll your eyes, moving your jaw in annoyance when he gasps, hands coming up to cover his mouth. "Do you have a crush on me? Is this where your confession-"
You slam the door, getting Ned to stop mid sentence.
"Shut UP. Oh my god. I don't have a crush on you, and I definitely don't have a crush on Peter. Just stop talking for five fucking seconds." Your hands pull at your hair for a second, before sitting on the floor in front of the bed in the middle of the room. You close your eyes and take a deep breath.
"Oh… Ok." Ned looks around the room for a second before slowly moving to sit next to you.
You open your eyes after a few moments of silence and look at Ned, who gives you a gentle smile. You feel bad and look down at your fingers, picking at your nails. "I'm sorry. The alcohol makes me a bitch sometimes."
"It's ok, Y/N. If you don't like like either of us, then what's the problem?" You know he's trying to be nice, but you can't help but laugh.
"What are we? Twelve? Crush and like like, Ned? Really?" You chuckle, looking at him and glad to see he has a smile as well. He just shrugs, hoping if he doesn't say anything that you might continue. "I just… God I've never said this to anyone yet." You twist and pull on your fingers.
"You can tell me, Y/N." You squeeze your eyes closed. "I know we don't know each other well, and I'm not very good at keeping secrets, and MJ AND Peter are some of my best frie-"
"I'm in love with MJ."
And it was out. Your heart stopped and you almost felt Ned staring at you with his dumb wide eyes that he always had. If either of you took a breath you wouldn't have known it with how silent the room was.
"That… That makes more sense." His voice is quiet to match the silence in the room. The air is thick. So thick it's hard for you to breath. You bring a hand to your chest and swallow hard.
"This is stupid." You grumble to your self. You feel yourself shaking as you run a hand through your hair. Ned put a cautious hand on your shoulder.
"Would… it make you feel better… to talk about it?" You take a breath and hold it for a second. Normally you wouldn't even have to think about it. "Absolutely not! Are you out of your mind! Leave me alone." Is something your sober self would have said. What actually came out was-
"Sure."
Ned nodded and took his hand off your arm. "Ok."
You sat in silence for a few more minutes before you started from the top, starting at your first kiss and then when you first realized your feelings for her, your reaction to MJ and Peter.Ned sat and listened to it all and before you knew it he was rooting for you and sharing in your frustrations.
"-and I was running my hand through her hair with her head in my lap and she took my other hand and kind of intertwined my fingers with her like this," You lace your own fingers together dramatically, "and then pulls it to her face and kisses it, looking up at me with her beautiful doe eyes when her phone starts to buzz."
"Uh oh." Ned says from his same spot, watching you pace around the room theatrically recounting your relationship with MJ.
You stop your pace and point to Ned. "Uh oh indeed. And guess who it was?"
Ned bows his head down and shakes it slightly. "It's Peter, isn't it?"
You shake your head rapidly. "Yup. Peter messaging MJ. And as soon as she sees his name on her phone she lets go of my hand and sits up out of my lap. I ask her what's going on because she sat up pretty quickly and she…" You take a deep breath and put your hands on your hips, looking to the ground. "She said Peter asked her on a date." Ned groans dramatically, but you're too in your head to acknowledge it. "I remember being super taken back and all I could do was just say 'What?' and she started rambling. 'Well, I guess it's not technically a date. We're studying together-' blah blah blah. But I couldn't hear her. My heart was so..."
"Broken?"
"Empty."
Ned pat the floor next to him and you slowly made your way to it, sitting with a thud. "I feel like I should apologize for that one. I kind of gave Peter that idea."
You clench your jaw for a moment then shake your head. "Don't apologize, Ned. You didn't know."
"Well, yeah, but I should have seen it. Hearing your side it just makes everything so obvious. It's funny, actually. Peter and I were just talking about you and we came to the conclusion that you must like him. It never crossed either of our minds that it was actually MJ." You smile to yourself.
"Well, I'm glad I wasn't so obvious. If you two didn't catch on, she probably hasn't either." You sigh and lean your head back to look at the ceiling, but end up slowly lowering yourself to the ground. He followed your lead and laid next to you.
"What are you going to do now?" He asks, staring at the same spot on the ceiling. You shrug.
"Keep doing my thing, I guess. Keep enough distance that I don't cross too far over the line with her and just enjoy what we have."
"You realize that's a terrible idea right?" You let out a little laugh and turn your head to look at Ned, seeing he's already looking at you.
"Yeah. Yeah it's a terrible idea." You both start laughing but stop when the door opens. You sit up quickly and see MJ walk through the door.
"There you are. Ready to go-what the fuck is going on?" MJ frowns, jestering between you and Ned on the floor, Ned still laying down.
"We were just talking." Her eyes narrow at you and you roll your own. "It's true! Tell her Ned."
Ned sat up and smiled at MJ. "Y/N's having boy trouble so i was talking it out with her." You smack your hand to your face and drag it down.
"No, no I definitely wasn't. He's just making a joke because we were talking about his girl issues." Shaking your head you turn and give a warning look to Ned and he just shrugs.
"Oh… Kay. Weird. I just didn't think you two were friends." MJ crossed her arms, eyes remaining narrow.
"Well, you ditched Y/N and Peter ditched me so we just hung out together." Ned said as he looked at you. MJ was clearly taken back by this and she started sputtering out excuses before giving up. She knew he was right, but him pointing it out just made her feel guilty. She ditched you while you were drinking. No one was there to look out for you because she was too preoccupied with Peter.
"Well, I'm sorry, Y/N." She mumbled out, looking to the ground. Anyone else would have thought this was a half assed attempt at an apology, but knowing MJ it was the best you would ever get.
"It's cool, or whatever. It was fun talking to Ned." You smile softly at him.
You miss her quick facial changes. Eyes glare at Ned to soft look at you then to the floor sadly. All in just a second. If you were looking at her you would have seen it. You always do. But your new closeness with Ned was jarring for MJ. She was always hearing you complain about Peter and Ned that the idea of that changing in a night was confusing. The look you and Ned are sharing shows you shared a lot while she was gone and MJ quietly kicks herself for it. She couldn't shake away her jealousy. She coughs to get your attention.
"Cool. I'm ready to go, so let's go. I've got a lot to talk about when we get home." She moves to open the door and jesters for you to come with her. You begin to stand up when Ned pulls you back down.
"Whatever you wanna tell her, you can tell her here. If it's about Peter, I probably already know." Ned crossed his arms and tries to look confident. You look at him like he just grew a second head but he gives you a little thumbs up. You're not entirely sure what his plan is but you decide to follow his lead anyway knowing she's already going to chew your ear off.
You shrug. "Yeah, actually, he makes a point."
"Are you really that fucking drunk? No. Come on, Y/N." She starts to move towards you but stops when she sees Ned move to pat your shoulder. She feels possessive, a thought of telling Ned to fuck off crossing her mind.
"I'll just talk to you later Ned." You give him a tight smile and he nods at you.
"Peter asked me out on a date." Her words pierced through your heart and you were so thankful you were looking at Ned and not MJ. "Like… A real one.." Neds eyes meet yours and he forced a happy look that successfully came off genuine, but he saw your face. How your smile dropped, the light behind your eyes dying. Your eyes close for a moment and you take a quick breath before you turn your head to MJ.
"That's so great. I'm glad it's finally happening." MJ looks into your eyes intensely.
"Are you?" Her tone was different. It wasn't snarky or sarcastic. It was as if she was genuinely asking. There was pain behind her words. If you were sober you might have been able to figure it out, but all it did was confuse you further. So all you could do was nod.
"Of course, MJ. I just want you to be happy." You spend a few moments looking at each other, trying to read the other and failing at it. Ned just watching in silence, long forgotten by both of you.
"So… Are we going home now or are you just going to sit on the ground drunk all night?"
You shake your head and look to the ground, eyebrows pinched tightly together. "Yeah, yeah. Um, I'll be out in a second. I'll-I'll come find you."
MJ frowns for a second, standing in the door frame looking between you and Ned. She moves slightly to try and meet your eyes but you don't look. You can't bring yourself to look her in the eyes; your heart couldn't take anymore. She shrugs after a moment. "Fine."
You hear it in her voice. She's annoyed, but you know she will get over it. You'll just have to deal with some passive aggressive responses for awhile, but things will go back to normal.
"That was crazy." Ned stands, walking towards the door and stopping. "I really didn't see that coming."
"Yeah." You picked at the floor in front of you, taking in a deep breath to settle your nerves. Ned turns to look at you.
"You... good?" You look up at him. He's giving you a concerned look and you give him a small smile.
"I'll be ok. I know that I'm nothing more than a friend to her." You stand up. Ned tries to come up with reasons why it could happen, but you just walk past him to the door. "Ned, I really appreciate your help tonight." You give his shoulder a squeeze. He gives you a beaming smile and you turn back to the door, walking out to find MJ.
The journey home was long and abnormally quiet. Usually the air is filled with laughter and jokes. But not tonight. Tonight neither one of you wanted to say anything out of fear the wrong words would slip out. The silence, however, made it extra easy to sneak back into MJ's. You both were able to slip in and back to her room without anyone suspecting anything. Part of you thought about just not going back inside. Telling her you'll just see her later and going to your own house but you knew that would just cause more problems than solve any. But once her door closed quietly behind you, you couldn't help but hold your breath for what was about to come.
"I'm going to sleep. Feel free to do… whatever." She walks to her dresser and pulls out some clothes. Instead of pulling out a pair for you she only pulled out one pair for herself. She quickly changed and got into bed. She didn't make you turn around and didn't try to hide anything like she normally would. She didn't pat the other side of the bed, a silent invite to come in. She just went right to her phone, back at ignoring you. You sigh and make your way to her drawers. You feel her eyes burning into your back as you disrobe, putting on one of her oversized hand-me-down shirts she got from her dad. You reach in a drawer to grab pajama bottoms and find nothing. You sigh and close the drawer, anxiously pulling at the bottom of the shirt before turning around. MJ locks eyes with you for a second before turning away. You feel yourself blush to match hers.
"Is this ok?" You whisper. You don't mean to be so quiet, but catching her stare at you has made you suddenly nervous.
"Oh, uh, yeah. That's cool." She gulps and focuses on her phone, trying her best not to look at you. You nod and make your way to the bed, sitting softly on the edge facing away from her. You look around the room, trying your best to come up with something to talk about, but all you can think about is her date with Peter. You don't want to ask about it, but you decide that's just what needs to happen.
"So," You cough, gaining MJ's full attention, "you…. Excited for your date with Peter?"
She's quiet for a minute and it makes you uneasy. You feel your phone buzz in your hand but you ignore it. Your only focused on the deafening silence around you.
"I, um, I don't know why I said that. He didn't actually ask me on a date. He just asked me… um yeah. It wasn't a date." You look at her with a confused face. She scratches the back of her neck, eyes flickering to yours for just a second before staring at the wall.
"Why would you say it then?"
"I don't know. I guess to get Ned off your back?" You close your eyes.
"How would that get him off my back?"
"I don't know, Y/N!" She exclaims, tossing her phone to the end of the bed and standing up. "I didn't exactly think it through, did I?"
"You really didn't." You chuckle at her and a sense of relief goes through you for just a moment. Even though her back was turned away from you, you could see the tension in her shoulders release, meaning she was likely smiling too.
"I guess I didn't like you getting to close with Ned." Her confession took you off guard. You stand to join her and cross your arms.
"And why's that?"
She taps her foot quickly and twists her fingers. "You're my friend and I guess seeing you act with Ned how you do with me… I don't know. It made me jealous." You smile, uncrossing your arms and walking over to her.
"You have nothing to worry about, MJ." You take her hands, intertwining your fingers and pressing your forehead to hers. "You're amazing and beautiful and smart. You're funny and charming and I'm so lucky to have you in my life. I'm not going anywhere."
She smiles at you, gripping your hand tighter. "Good. Because I… need you. In my life."
You fell into a comfortable silence, enjoying the other embrace. Unspoken emotions surrounding you, but you felt they didn't need to be said. Holding her so close was enough. She does feel the same. You lean in and give her a gentle kiss, one that electrifies your whole body. One had leaves her hand and holds just under her jaw, thumb pressing against her cheek and rubbing softly as you pull away. You look into her eyes and your smile fades. MJ is frowning.
"I don't want us to change." She whispers. Her words hold so much pain behind them. You rub her cheek softly and give her a reassuring smile.
"Why would we change?"
"Peter…" Your hand drops from her face.
"MJ, why do you keep lying to me?" You start to step back away from her but she holds your arms.
"I don't want you to get hurt."
"Why would I be hurt, MJ? You keep saying that, but you're my best friend and all i want is for you to be happy." You shale out of her grasp and step back from her. "Please, for once tonight, just tell me the truth. I didn't think I'd ever have to ask that."
MJ looks at the floor between you two and swallows. "Peter… Peter didn't ask me on a date. He asked me to be his girlfriend and…. And i said yes."
You continue to stare at her face and take a deep breath, nodding "Ok."
"Ok?"
"Ok. Thank you for telling me the truth." She smiles back at you and takes your hand again. You hesitate, but return the hold.
You lay in the bed, making sure to keep a respectable distance between you but you know you shouldn't be there anymore. Not when she's now dating Peter. And if she really was dating Peter, why did she let you get so close to her? She must have known you were going to kiss her. Why would she let you do it?
You fall into a comfortable silence and when you hear the gentle breathing from MJ, you gently roll out of bed. You quietly slip your pants back on, opting to change back into the shirt you were wearing before and folding MJ's and placing it on top of the dresser. You grab your book bag and begin heading to the door. You take one last look at MJ sleeping peacefully before making your quiet escape.

Good Timing - B.B (9/10)
Summary: The music always starts at 5 am every morning since your new neighbor moved in leading to your dog promptly as soon as he wakes up. What will you do with that time spent with him? (Modern!Reader/Steve Rogers)
Prompt: The guy living below me has a really loud alarm clock that always wakes me up at the crack of dawn.
A/N: This is for @sebashtiansatan ‘s writing challenge.
Feedback is always welcomed.
You wonder if it’s strange for Sugar to have another dog in her space. She was used to taking up space, but to have this little white and brown puppy running around and smelling all of her things, you could tell that all her attention was on him scarping about. Steve gives you a shy smile, unsure of what is going to happen next. The both of you watch Sugar walk up to the pup, who is currently near her food and water and stare at the little scamp for a good moment before moving him slightly with her nose and getting a drink of water.
The puppy kept exploring and Sugar ignored him, as Steve kept a close watch on him.
“My friend and therapist have been telling to get a dog,” Steve smiles as the puppy comes back to him, “But, I don’t think I am ready for it just yet. So, I got connected with a support group that lets you foster pups.”
“That’s great,” you grin, extremely overjoyed that Steve was trying out something like and from the sorts as the puppy came closer to him and Steve picked him up. The small thing almost reminded you of Sugar when she was that age --around the time you had to meet her back in the pound-- though obviously healthier to be running around so much.
“Sharon said it would be,” Steve remarks and your heart speed up in freeze for just a second -- he’s gonna gush about his girlfriend and how they have a puppy now. Maybe, they’ll move in together, get married, and maybe end up living upstate with even more -- or maybe that was just your imagination growing from your ever-present anxiety around the handsome man.
“Who is that?” you ask, clearly confused and asking for clarification. So, that you can finally hang up this little crush that came out of nowhere and would hopefully go away just as fast -- you didn’t have the time or effort to deal with all that came with unrequited love.
“Sharon, my therapist,” He answers and your mouth drops for a moment, “You saw her a few days back.”
“Oh! Her,” you exclaim in a higher tone than usual, as Steve keeps petting the puppy behind the ears, “That’s really good, Steve.”
Steve smiles your way as the puppy licks his face and you can’t help but feel a little relieved, but you know it was just a matter of time--
“So, what’s his name?”
“Oliver.”
That, someone, was going to fall in love with the sweet blond with the puppy beagle that seemed excited to play with anyone -- how was a woman supposed to handle that?
“Would you help me get him used to everything?”
Steve wasn’t really sure why those words left his mouth when he was leaving your apartment after a week without seeing you or Sugar, it was maddening and he didn’t want to lose the two of you again. Now, Oliver wasn’t an excuse to get to you -- the little guy was something he had been contemplating for quite some time with you and Sugar and how loving the two of you were had been the final push that he needed to tell Sharon about. After all that, it was a quick paperwork process and he had the little scamp a week after he had signed all of it.
However, interacting with an older dog and owning a puppy were two very different things, as Steve was slowly coming to understand. Oliver was always full of energy and that sometimes lead to certain things being chewed over, certain items turning into a bathroom in the middle of the night, and trying not to have a heart attack when he slides across the room due to not having a grip on the wooden floor.
It was the scariest and exciting thing that Steve had done in a long while and he wasn’t going to deny that the little guy was winning him over more and more each day -- he was even seriously looking into a training school for Oliver.
“Did he like the chicken last time?” Clint’s voice filters from in front of him, as blue eyes, glance to the side to see you holding both Oliver’s and Sugar’s leashes as you look at the variety of jerk once more. The two of you had realized early on the beagle was a picky eater.
“He seems more into the beef and vegetable flavor,” you answer back with a smile and a slight pull of Oliver’s leash since he was trying to run down one of the hallways again. Clint moves about and begins to bag the dog food you asked for as Steve hears a whine.
“What’s wrong, girl?” he can’t help but ask with a laugh as Sugar calls out for his attention, which she needed to have the most out of both dogs -- she really was in love with Steve if you really thought about. He leans down and starts petting her behind the ear, as she wags her tail happily. It once you are ready to go, that you notice what is going on.
“Silly Sug,” you can’t help but laugh just a little and that’s when it happens.
Both your eyes meet before darting back to where they once were, a grin bloom onto his face as he keeps petting Sugar and Clint can’t help but shake his head that the sight of your shy smile.
If only they could just admit it and get it over with, would be something both Clint and Pietro would be thinking in this exact same moment about this, starting at each other like lovestruck teenagers but not saying a word about it. However, they both understood that for the two of you love --especially for two scared individuals-- could be a very fearful thing.
They could only watch and hope that you guys didn’t screw it up like the last time.
But maybe that’s what love needs to grow -- careful patience and the willingness to not give up. The two of you both has that and a certain stubbornness that didn’t what to let go of the other and slowly your lives in the coming weeks started to revolve around each other more than before.
It shows in the way you have Sugar ready and set when he comes down to your floor for their morning walk, sometimes you going and others you don’t. It shows in the way that sometimes you decide to make breakfast for the four of you and sometimes he decides to bring coffee and pastries after Sugar and Oliver get a bit too excited neat a certain puddle. It’s shown in how Steve slowly helps you develop a training regiment and you laugh and tell him it should be something that he should consider doing -- and he does.
Anybody can see it in the wait that sometimes you end up making too much of dinner and you end up inviting him. You feel it in how he starts picking you up after work with Ollie and Sug when it gets too late. He feels it in all the late night conversations that you let him have, either through phone or text, when there is too much going on in his head and you lend an ear without any sort of judgment.
However, it’s all a matter of timing...and maybe the perfect time in a warm and lazy Saturday afternoon. Oliver is sleeping in his little bed after a tiring but exciting walk and Sugar is at his feet curled up and taking in the warmth of the sun shining down from the sun.
And you -- well, your head is on his lap --Steve isn’t completely sure how you ended replacing the large bowl of popcorn he had started off with-- as you take in the movie that you had both decided to watch. But, Steve’s mind is somewhere else -- on how warm you feel next to him, at how lovely your laugh sounds and how midway it seems like you have started to fall asleep, but he doesn’t have the heart to move you.

Skam Austin trailer is out! Here are my THOUGHTS!
SKAM AUSTIN TEASER IS OUT BITCH:
Here are my thoughts:
I just want to preface this by saying I have not watched the original Skam or the other versions. I came across Skam Austin on Facebook. So no I can’t guess from what happened on those series’.
Honestly there is sooo much to unpack. I’m trying to figure out wether the characters on the beds’ storyline have to do with friendship, crushes or relationship drama but I’m glad to come up with theories
1. Grace has been my favorite since day one so having this season revolve around her POV makes me fucking HAPPY ASF
2. So first two shots are Megan and Marlon: it seems as though she is contemplating if still being in a relationship with his is a good idea. Hint at a possible break up
3. Third shot is of Penetrator Jo (I’m like 5 and I think that’s funny lol) and Tyler. Honestly pretty shocked by this. Idk if y’all remember this but in season one when Megan was talking to Tyler she was asking him why he didn’t like her bc let’s be honest he was a bit of an asshole to her. He said ‘have you ever thought that maybe it isn’t about you?’ Now this could be about Marlon or it could be about Shay but maybe it could be about Penetrator Jo? I’m grasping for straws I know. Or maybe they will have some relevancy in s2? Tyler is staring back at Jo soo I’m guessing it’s a possible unrequited or undercover crush situation?
4. The shots with the girl squad I believe is just to represent that their bond will grow closer together.
5. The shot with Marlon and Tyler... yiiiikes. Maybe Tyler is going to grow distance from Marlon? Maybe Marlon won’t support him enough? I’m definitely thinking there will be a good amount of plot lines going for Tyler in s2
6. I think Megan and Abigail will definitely get a lot closer. The way they are positioned in their shot as Abigail as the big spoon seems like she will be comforting Megan with a possible breakup with Marlon? Or if she has some type of drama with the girl squad (that just makes it easier to call them that instead of listing all their names lol)?
7. With the trio (being Marlon, Shay, and Tyler) something big is going to happen. Idk what but Tyler looks completely checked out. And Marlon is looking at him concerened.
8. Megan goes in between PenatrationJo and Shay... love triangle
9. Marlon is with Daniel... 🤨
10. Megan and Shay together makes me think that Megan is possibly considering being with Shay?
11. Looks like Kelsey and Jo(sefina) are going to have a huge falling out. Kelsey’s ass musta did somethin’ she looking back real suspect. Ooo maybe she tries to get with Penetrating Jo?
12. New friendship alert!! Seems like Tyler is finding comfort in Zoya along with Shay. So I guess Marlon is the one on the outs.. which maybe Marlon tries to befriend Daniel. That’s all I got lol
13. Megan and Tyler... I am going to refer to #3 about him having issues with Megan in s1.
14. IM DEEEAD! First it’s Megan and Penetrator Jo and they are lookin lovey dovey. Then Shay pops tf up and she chompin her gum like “What’s good??” And Megan’s face has me OUT
15. I’m so ready for some Zoya/Abigail beef bro fr
16. Penetrator Jo and Daniel... still going strong I guess
17. PENETRATOR JO AND JOSEFINA?? bruh that whole girl group needa let that mango you feel me. Throw the whole man AWAY.
18. Daniel and Kelsey 😑. I’m dying, IS HE SLEEP?? 😭. I wish she would realize self love and value herself more to see he just wants the cat since Grace is playing hard to get. I feel like he would be Kelsey’s bf to make Grace jealous or find his way to get closer to Grace since she always shuts him down
19. That last shot of Marlon and Tyler makes me think Tyler is going to miss their friendship when they stop talking?
20. Daniel’s is laying next to no one and I think he’s going to be lonely asf. Like he should be OKAY
21. So Grace is so awesome she deserves 2 spots. I love how she states that the camera and we realize this is her season now. Ugh I’m rooting for her.
I know this is super long but this teaser just made me have a lot to say. I just hope the trailer doesn’t give out too much. If you’ve read this far please please please tell me your theories or predictions (not spoilers) I really wanna have a dialogue with this fandom and see where people’s heads are at! (bruh I sound like a YouTuber) LIKE, COMMENT AND SUBSCRIBE!

Felix Felicis (Harry Potter)
Summary: Reader is an exchange student from Ilvermorny who has a huge crush on Draco but is convinced it’s unrequited love. (Hint: IT’S NOT) Media: Harry Potter Genre: pure fluff Warnings: middle-school language, mild Brit-speak, irresponsibly liberal use of italics and dashes--as per usual Word count: 1,685 Notes: written for the amazing @elizahackler on IG. Go follow them!
The rain was unrelenting on your first day at Hogwarts. Not even one day had passed and you were already feeling homesick. You missed the gentle layer of snow on the Ilvermorny grounds, and the comfort of the Wampus dorm. Hogwarts was cold, old, and gloomy, and everyone spoke in an unintelligible British accent. You should've just stayed in America, and you would've, if you were allowed. But your house head decided that spending a few semesters overseas would do you some good. So here you were, already predisposed to believe your year in England would be living hell. And the way things were going, or seemed like you would be right.
You waved goodbye to your parents, who had apparated with you to King's Cross, and the Hogwarts Express gently pulled away from the station. Soon after, the train was chugging along the track and you were seated in a cabin alone, earbuds in. As your favourite song came on, you glanced out the window at the scenery--verdant mountains and valleys, lush with trees in shades of emerald. You smiled to yourself. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad after all. A new school, new opportunities to make friends, new classes to ace, field trips to London--
“What insolent idiot dare sit in my cabin?! My father will--” A tall, handsome boy with platinum blonde hair burst into your cabin, accompanied by his two friends. The badge on his cloak was the same shade of green as the trees. Slytherin, you thought.
“...hear about this,” he continued, his voice barely above a whisper. You pulled out an earbud and stood up straightaway, trying to leave the cabin as fast as you could.
“I'm...sorry,” the boy said. His eyes flickered to your Wampus crest. “Um, it's alright. You can stay.”
But you were already awkwardly standing in the doorway, and sitting back down with someone who had just called you an idiot would be even more awkward.
“Sorry,” you breathed, as you shuffled off to find another cabin. You plopped down as your senses came back.
Damn. He is cute.
“Slytherin!”
The sorting hat took under two seconds to place you in the house of ambition and cunning. You smiled as you made your way to their table, but your grin was wiped off your face as you saw that the only free seat was next to the blonde boy you had encountered on the train. Begrudgingly, you sat down next to him.
“Sorry about that incident on the train,” he apologised. “I thought you were someone else.”
“It's alright. I'm used to it, being an exchange student and all. Except most of the time people really mean it.”
“Malfoy. Draco Malfoy,” he said, extending his hand. “Pleased to meet you.”
You shook it firmly. “(Y/N) (L/N). Likewise.”
Dishes upon dishes of roast beef and chicken, vegetables and potatoes, casseroles, and twenty different kinds of soup and salad were set upon the table. Draco reached for a pitcher of pumpkin juice and offered to pour you some.
“I’ve never any, but I'd love to try some,” You said, holding out your goblet. “Back home they usually had apple-cranberry pop.”
“Pop? Like a fizzy drink?”
You laughed. “Right. Of course. Yes, like a ‘fizzy drink’.” You took a sip of the juice. It was incredibly smooth and slightly sweet, flavoured with a touch of honey and a bit of cinnamon. “This is delicious.”
“I know.” Draco passed you a few dishes and you loaded up your plates. Every dish was something different, and although the menu was missing a few items you had loved at Ilvermorny, you were sure you had a few new favourites.
After dinner, you brought your stuff down to the Slytherin dungeon and changed into your pajamas, barely awake. It had been a long day, and you were incredibly tired. You just caught a glance of Draco as he passed your room, and the two of you waved goodnight, a small smile on your face.
Draco really wanted to read History of Wizards Combatting Evil in the 19th Century. Really. He had asked for extra credit in Defense Against Dark Arts, so he should only be able to keep up with his work. But he kept reading the same sentence over and over again, not really processing it. His mind was on something else entirely--not Elvira Doraville’s crusade to ban the Unforgivable Curses in 1870, but (Y/N), the Ilvermorny exchange student and newest member of Slytherin.
Over the course of the dinner, their conversation ranged from school to Muggle movies to international affairs. It only took Draco a few minutes to tell she was kind enough for Hufflepuff, had boldness that would match a Gryffindor’s, and matched wits with the best of them in Ravenclaw. He had tried his hardest to befriend her, but even despite her upbeat personality, Draco had a sinking feeling that she was just trying to be nice, and tomorrow she would pretend he never existed. He had, after all, called her an insolent idiot, so he wouldn't expect her to want to associate with him. But if, on the off chance, she did like him…
Draco shut his book and leaned down, reaching between the wooden slats supporting his mattress. He emerged with a small black notebook, which had, scrawled on the inside in a six-year-old’s handwriting, “Propurty of Draco Malfoy”. Every wish, hope, dream, and desire he had had for the past ten years had been recorded on these sheets. He opened to a blank page, grabbed a quill and ink, and scribbled as his top priority:
I want (Y/N) to like me.
The next morning was cold and clear, but there was a thin, glistening layer of snow covering the Hogwarts grounds. You quickly got dressed in your new Slytherin robes and made your way down to the Great Hall for breakfast. Your eyes scanned the table quickly, secretly hoping to find Draco and sit next to him. But you only saw him for a minute as he carried a bowl out the hall, your eyes meeting his for a moment before he turned away.
Draco spent the next day avoiding her, or at least, trying to. Instead of talking about yesterday's Transfiguration homework enthusiastically at the Slytherin table, he grabbed some oatmeal and left as quickly as possible, lest he see (Y/N). The rest of the day was conducted in the same manner. He actually payed attention in Divination and finished his Astrology map before anyone else, giving him a good half-hour of free time--a curse in disguise, because any free time was time spent thinking of (Y/N).
After classes ended, he sent Crabbe to tell Madam Hooch that he would be missing Quidditch practice due to a cold, and promptly made his way to the abandoned first-floor girl's bathroom.
Out of his school pack he pulled an Ashwinder egg, a squill bulb, tincture of thyme and a few other ingredients--the ingredients needed to make Felix Felicis. After nearly an hour of laborious stirring, chopping, more stirring, juicing, and even more stirring, the luck potion was ready. Just a single sip and (Y/N) would fall head over heels.
Draco packed up his potions kit and poured the dregs of the mixture down the toilet (Moaning Myrtle would just have to deal with it). He threw his pack over his shoulder and hastened out of the room, not looking where he was going.
This is ridiculous, you thought. Absolutely ridiculous. Despite the train incident, you liked Draco. A lot. And you thought he liked you back. He was even, maybe, flirting with you last night at dinner. But now, all of a sudden, he was ice-cold. Maybe all the rumours you had heard about him were true, that the only thing he really cared about were his grades and his family name. You angrily walked down the hall. How stupid I was, to believe he actually liked me back. He really is just like they all say: a selfish, condescending--
“Whoa!”
In a split second, you were being tossed head over heels, or at least it felt like that. You were mere inches away from cracking your head on the marble floor when a hand reached out and caught you. You eyes roamed up the pale arm, past the black and dark green robes, and you found yourself staring into the silvery-blue eyes of Draco Malfoy. Wordlessly, he pulled you back to your feet. It was only now that you noticed a shimmery gold liquid spilled on the floor, and an empty vial in Draco’s hands. It didn’t take a top grade in Potions to recognise is as Felix Felicis, one of the most difficult potions to make.
“I’m sorry. I wasn’t looking where I was going,” You said quietly.
He picked up the books you had dropped on the floor and handed them to you, your fingers brushing against each other. His eyes met yours, and your gaze lingered a little too long, some kind of magnetic force keeping you staring at each other
“Draco, I...” your sentence trailed off as he leaned in closer and closer. One of his hands reached up and cupped your cheek. Slowly, your lips met his, his other hand travelling to rest on the small of your back. You deepened the kiss and wrapped your arms around his waist. After nearly a minute, you broke away, gasping for air.
“I really fancy you, (Y/N). And I know I’ve been acting like a prick, but only because I was nervous around you. Scared, even, that you wouldn’t like me. I thought if I made the potion, I would have a better chance with you.”
“‘Fancy’? Oh, you mean you like me,” you teased.
Draco rolled his eyes. “Yes, I ‘like you’.”
“And just so you know, you don’t need any luck potion to get me to like you. I was already head over heels. Quite literally.”
He pulled you closer for another kiss. “I guess wishes do really do come true.”

Move over “Rose Boy”, long before your brush off from Megan Fox earned you fifteen minutes of internet fame, there was another juvenile superfan whose unrequited celebrity crush thrust him into the global media spotlight.
Meet Ronnie Calhoun of 2968 Arizona Road, Honolulu. In the summer of 1965, Ronnie was 6 years old. He was in second grade at Aliamanu Elementary School and his favourite film in the whole wide world was Mary Poppins. When he heard Julie Andrews would be coming to town for the filming of Hawaii, he begged his mother to take him to the airport so that he might meet his idol and, hopefully, get her autograph on his cherished Mary Poppins LP.
Julie was scheduled to fly in to Honolulu on June 13, luckily a Sunday when Ronnie had no school. With scores of other fans, he waited and waved excitedly as United Airlines Flight 195 touched down. Unfortunately, as detailed in a previous post, earlier scares with over-zealous mobs of Julie fans had led the studio to take a more cautious approach and beef up security. Ronnie and the other fans were all kept at a distance behind a fence to the side of the tarmac where they “snapped away feverishly with box cameras and lamented their idol’s brief, faraway appearance” (Butwin, A1). As Julie was whisked off in a security car, little Ronnie’s hopes of meeting his dream star were left in tatters.
The following day, photos of the 6-year old fan biting his chin and fighting back tears made the front pages of all the Hawaiian newspapers. It was a heart-wrenching sight made even more pitiful by Ronnie’s mother who explained to reporters: “He bought two leis for Julie Andrews with his allowance, and there she goes!” A studio rep promised he would pass the LP on to Julie for her to sign later and, for a second, little Ronnie “looked hopeful. Then he broke into tears again” (Butwin, A-2).
Sensing it had a potential publicity disaster on its hands, the studio moved into quick damage control. A special private meet-and-greet was hastily arranged for Ronnie where, needless to say, reporters were on hand to capture all the emotion of the moment (Kaser, D1). Accompanied by his parents and older brother, the young fan was brought to the Ala Wai Yacht Harbor where Julie and the crew were filming aboard one of the company’s brigs. “The two leis he bought for the star had wilted so he left them behind,” relayed one account, “but he had along his ‘Mary Poppins’ record album”:
“Subdued somewhat as the big moment approached, Ronnie shyly looked down at the deck as Miss Andrews came aboard. ‘Well what happened?’ she asked when they finally confronted each other. Ronnie, still looking down at the deck and nervously shuffling his feet, told her all about Sunday’s unfortunate events. Gaining courage from Miss Andrews’ friendliness, Ronnie finally admitted he had a secret to tell her. 'Whisper it in my ear,’ she said. 'I love you,' he whispered. After she signed the album, Ronnie was grinning fondly up at Miss Andrews and someone suggested he give her a kiss on the cheek....Ronnie pulled her down to his level and gave her a big kiss on the cheek. Then did it again for the photographers. Someone asked Ronnie how he felt. ‘Oh boy,’ he replied, ‘Am I ever happy!’ (”Ronnie Meets Idol” A1-A2)
Possessing all the heartwarming ingredients of a PR bonanza, the story of little Ronnie and Julie was wired to press services far and wide. It even made news in Japan. “I never thought this affair would gain so much publicity -- and so fast,” exclaimed Ronnie’s mother, “But I can tell you we have a very happy boy in our family right now” (Kaser, D1).
Back in Hawaii, the mini-media spectacle occasioned a mixed response. “Congratulations on that delightful human interest story on Ronnie Calhoun and Julie Andrews,” read one letter to the editor of the Honolulu Advertiser, “The Princess never intended wounding the little boy” and the “sheer joy and delight reflected from the face of Ronnie as Miss Andrews autographs his album...reveal that the agony and grief are completely forgotten.” Others, however, were less fulsome. “[T]hat heartbreaking picture of the little boy who was fighting back tears because he couldn’t kiss Julie Andrews and later of course the sentimental sequel which had to follow...amounted to blackmail,” chided a disapproving reader. “I do hope this won’t start an epidemic of kids lined up with leis to take advantage of their ‘droit de seigneur’ with the famous” (“Julie and Ronnie: Two Views,” B-3)
One wonders what became of little Ronnie Calhoun who, today, would have to be somewhere in his late-50s. Does he still harbour a special spot in his affections for Julie? Is that autographed Mary Poppins LP still in his possession, proudly framed and mounted on his living room wall? Or was he forced to hock it when he went off the skids, spoiled by his early brush with the cruel rollercoaster of media fame? If you’re reading this, Ronnie, inquiring minds want to know...
