The song was originally written by Ashman and Menken to be sung by the enchanted objects to Maurice instead of Belle. However, story artist Bruce Woodside felt that the song would make more sense if it was sung to Belle, the main character, as opposed to secondary character Maurice, and directors Kirk Wise and Gary Trousdale agreed.

ok, super off topic but what do you do when u have a bad day???? had a shit of a day today and now anxiety is eating me alive 🫠 need something to distract meee

hi sweets!! am currently falling asleep and can't see my keyboard properly lol but im better!! i'm so sorry you haven't been okay :( anxiety is the absolute fkn worst. what i usually do is try and busy/distract myself with things i've been wanting to do for a while — sometimes that means being productive, which is great bc a) you get your mind off bad things and b) get stuff done. i also do breathing exercises a lot. sometimes i paint a picture in my head of what's scaring me and try to think realistically whether it's able to actually hurt me. and if it is, i think of potential solutions and what i could do, should things escalate.

also, sometimes it's just v nice to abandon everything altogether and do smth that you don't need to do much thinking for but that still distracts you or cheers you up — like, i spent the last few days rewatching brooklyn 99 and asmr. definitely do something that would make you happy on any other day — fighting anxiety is tough, but i hope one of these things works for you 🥺 giving you a warm hug and lots of tea and tmrw will be better ily 🤍

I'm a big supporter of "the gods love you, regardless of how much you're able to do to worship them", but at the same time, it's difficult to forge a relationship with any deity (or even other people) if you don't allow yourself to be known by them. If you don't have moments of vulnerability, moments of silliness, moments of small joy even, then it's difficult to forge relationships or take them to a deeper level. Loving gods (or even other people) can be a scary thing for some people (hell, it was for me), but if you don't allow your heart to be exposed, even just a little, then you're not going to get back as much as you're hoping to.

Anything that's worth anything in life is going to require some level of risk, as terrifying as that feels sometimes, and in my opinion, having a deeper connection with a deity is one of those things that's worth the risk.

My point isn't that we aren't loved by the gods if we don't do a ritual everyday or pray every hour; my point here is that we cannot deepen our bonds if we aren't willing to dip more than just our toes into our deity relationships. Love your gods, and know that you are loved, but they can't really help you if you won't let them in, you know?
