Our first introduction to a revived Catelyn is learning that she can't speak but she remembers, inquiries about Arya, and accurately pointing out someone involved in that red wedding. It's been obvious from the start that she's still Catelyn, even though her being resurrected affected her. Considering fandom's trend of labeling female characters "too far gone" for not being perfect, pure, and passive it's obvious why people talk about her like they do. Yes she's angry and wants revenge but literally who wouldn't if they were in her situation? It's annoying how little empathy people have for her character. Personally, I hope there's more to her story than getting demonized for rightfully wanting revenge and having to get "put down" like she's a wild animal.

Well, I just finished binge-watching Hannibal in a little less than two weeks, and as expected, that show has twisted my brain into new configurations that I had previously only grazed.

You'd think that Hannibal himself would have me under his spell, and although I am definitely charmed, the one I really want to study under a microscope, open with a scalpel, analyse down to his last atom is Will Graham. I am deeply, darkly fascinated by Will, his psyche, his facade, his lies, his cunningness, the way he starts as a meek professor and ends up so godsdamn twisted and troubled and hot, oh my gods so freaking hot, what the hell, he makes me go insane.

The way he is so, soooo much more dangerous than Hannibal when you think about it? Hannibal doesn't care about you. He'll kill you if you're rude and inconveniencing him, drag it a bit, play with you like a normal predator toys with its prey, that's it; classic psychopath stuff, the cannibalistic aspect and the aesthetic dramatics as a bonus. But Will? Will will care, and he will get into your mind and makes you doubt your reality, your identity, your morals, and he'll say that he won't hurt you and that he wants to save you, and then you'll end burning alive while he watches, mildly curious.

I have a lot of thoughts about their twisted love-hatred, the way they're so deep into each other's soul, and also Alana's warmth turning into ice, and Jack's constant uncaringness throughout it all. And I have to talk about how absolutely gorgeous and aesthetic and artistic the cinematography is. But I need a minute to breathe through it first.
