i appreciate your responses, thank you.
sorry to write again now but something in your response clicked with me. the part where you said i want a sign that at least i hope it wasnt worth nothing.
in choosing him too before it cost me. and it's painful for me to have to deal with the consequences of that cost, in addition to the pain and his complete denial of me (this is why it hurts a lot too, because he denied me in front of people.) i just hope i will be able to accept these soon.
don't be sorry, i had the feeling i understood you well, that's why i am answering in a detailed way and taking my time. he is only worth as much as you pour into him. it's not really about him, but the parts of yourself you left with him. you grieve yourself, and that's okay. what matters is that you look forward, instead of looking back to the things you buried with him you should look forward to the parts of yourself that wait to grow stronger. and don't forget that you are capable of doing this. you lived your life without him until you met him, so you will be able to continue it without him as well.
people like him don't leave a void in your life. you don't need to fill any void, because people like him don't offer you something special. believe me when i say you will meet better people. maybe this all was necessary to make you reflect on your own worth and to appreciate the people in your future more when you finally meet them.
someone who is denying himself by running away from the truth shouldn't affect you. he doesn't even add value to your life.
#it's more about the pain of not being truly seen for who you are and for what you did#but someone who isn't seeing it even when you show it so purely#doesn't deserve that feeling of being loved by you anyway#i think the best 'revenge' is just leaving them bc they will search for the love you gave them in every person you met#but you will be happy that you will meet people who are completely different than them#and that's the difference#they won't forget you but long for what you gave them#and you will forget them and move on peacefully

my life is a very slow process of everyone around me telling me not to be anxious and me fighting them all tooth and nail while inching towards more stable mental health.
#I know it’s not true but sometimes I feel like if I didn’t have anxiety I would not suffer at all#which. again. is false#but there’s a lot of things I don’t want in this life and a lot of things I am not scared of and a lot of things I just accept#and like. It’s FINE#but all my suffering from anxiety stays in one fixed flame of sheer agony#and it’s hard because I don’t shake like a chihuahua in the corner of my bedroom#unable to move or function#I’m always doing things and functioning and joking at parties and (generally) saying the right thing#but it’s all located in one corner in the middle of my mind attacking my ability to make judgments and live with my decisions peacefully#like an unseen wound#and the distance i feel it puts between me and other people#is one of the most painful things#just several sheets of frosted glass between me and them#and sometimes the worst it gets is when I can bear it without breaking down and so I just do and I just keep functioning#and the cold just creeps in and everything goes kind of numb!#tbh now that I think about it this might be why I often think of myself as a person with no desires or ambitions or dreams#or impetus or forward motion or anything#because I DO want things and have opinions and the exist in flashes. But also they’re buried deep under several layers of protective apathy#so they’re not stable. I drop them many times. forget them ignore them imagine that they aren’t there. I’m sorry I’m rambling I’m FINE#actually when I talk about it that’s how you know I’m doing okay with it#when I can’t talk about it and am half-heartedly going through the motions#that’s the problem#anyway whew. thanks for listening sorry for all the self-reflection etc. etc. etc.

I love Taylor. I always have and to some degree I always will. She means too much to me and is such an important figure and source of joy and light in my life when I desperately needed, and a connection to my own father that I need desperately, to deny that I will always look on her fondly to some degree as silly as that may seem sometimes and to some people.
But that doesn't mean I don't/won't/can't be critical of her or be disappointed or disagree with choices she makes or has made, because I absolutely have been and I absolutely am.
My problem is that I always, with every fiber of my being, look for and try to see the best in people and believe in people until I absolutely can't anymore. Unless it's something truly reprehensible and irredeemable, my brain simply cannot comprehend the idea that one bad decision or mistake trust me I know she's made more than one lately can automatically invalidate or negate anything and everything good a person has ever done. I've genuinely tried to understand it and unfortunately, I can't wrap my head around the concept. I give grace to a fault. I get sad when I see things said about her in a negative light even when I completely understand and even agree, because I have so much love for her in my heart. It's that tride and true naive, blind optimism in me I guess.
But I do not in any way think she's a perfect person, I know she isn't, because nobody is. Some are just better at hiding that than others. She makes mistakes, she's wrong sometimes, she is a human being who messes up. Sometimes in big ways. And unfortunately she's messed up a few times over the last year or so and that makes me sad. It disappoints me because I love her so much, and I do want and expect better of her. And in the process of that, it makes me very sad that I feel like I have to hide the facet of myself that does still love her despite my disappointment in her or risk making people upset with me now because I'm so afraid of upsetting people. I'm terrified of doing or saying the wrong things I try so hard to do the best I can every day and it's disappointing to see her slip up. It's sad. It makes me very sad.
It's a complicated time to love her right now. I hope, in my heart of hearts, I sincerely hope that sooner rather than later it won't have to be that way anymore. Not just for me, but for all of us who feel that complexity or conflict of emotions.
#I don't know I'm just talking out my ass I just have a lot of thoughts running through my head I don't really know how to articulate well#I just always want to believe the best in people I don't like to judge people I don't like to condemn people or see that happen#unless someone is truly reprehensible and deserving of condemnation and I just don't feel in my heart that she is like some people do#I don't know maybe that makes me a bad person...? sometimes I feel like there are people who would think that it does and that makes me sad#I know I keep saying I don't know but I truly don't know. I'm just tired. sometimes I wish I didn't care#but the fact of the matter is that I do. I care about people I love people I want nothing but the best for people#I want to believe the best in people and in my heart I believe that she is the person I always thought she was. someone who is good and kin#who makes mistakes but is ultimately better for them because she learns from those mistakes and grows#or maybe I just want to believe she's like me and always looks for the best in people and sees the best in people to a fault#until she can't deny the truth anymore if they're not good people.#sometimes you blind yourself to the things in people or situations that you don't want to see until it's impossible to anymore#I know because I've been there. not in the same kinds of situations granted but I've blinded myself and hurt myself so much to hang on#I've ruined my entire life holding onto the past. not wanting to move on into the stage of my life I'm actually in#and trying to stay in my childhood as long as possible when the truth is it's long gone. i can't get it back.#but I can keep her. I can keep that piece of it. and oh god I want to. I pray to god the truth of her heart is revealed#and that that truth is good. that that truth is a relief and a reassurance to those like me and many others looking for it lately#maybe I'm just being naive I guess. but dammit I want to see light on the other side no matter what. it's a blessing and a curse sometimes.#I just want people to love each other and be kind to one another and coexist with one another peacefully... that's all I want... 😔#I want people to be able to love who and what they love without shame or fear to be who they are unapologetically without shame or fear#I just want love and hope and light in this world goddammit it shouldn't be as hard as it is these days 😔#I love you all. so much. no matter what. never forget that. ❤#abby's insomnia thoughts

Where the Lamb does not Belong.
You're isekai'd into the world of Honkai Star Rail. Thankfully, you're taken into the Astral Express and continue your journey peacefully, until you reach Penacony. Something, or someone, seems to be causing your system to continually crash. Perhaps it's because you did not belong here at all.
Warnings: yandere, obviously. Uh, mentioned fracture(?)
A/n; reader is a tad forgetful and can brush off a few things, and get distracted slightly easily. But for the most part, i think it won't ruin the immersion. Its my first time writing something "self aware" related, and something like a character breaking the 4th wall. I really love these tropes but rarely write them. I hope i did it well. Its roughly 4.5k long. Enjoy.
----
“Ace!”
“It's not ace.”
“Uno!”
“March, you're supposed to say it after you put down your second card.”
“Oh, sure.”
…
“March, it's not your turn.”
“Huh?!”
You giggle, listening in on their banter. You're leaned up comfortably on Dan Heng's back, messing around with a level on Stelle's phone she hasn't been able to beat.
You hear a loud groan, a fwop as March drops on her back onto the bed,
“This is so confusing!”
“The rules are simple, you're just trying to rush things.”
Dan Heng takes the cards and settles them, tapping them vertically to level and gather them onto the little table. You stretch your neck to look back and catch a glimpse of March sulking. Stelle gently pries the phone out of your hands as you do so.
“Hey let's go through our photo album again!”
“It's the 6th time this month.”
You chuckle, getting up from Dan Heng's back as you feel him shift, moving over to situate yourself around the table aswell, the the bed dipping under your weight.
“I knew you were into photography but wow, this is something, March.”
You say, leaning over on the table, your elbow resting on it as your chin rests on your palm,
“Well, you better be grateful ‘cause I just finished up your entry!”
“My entry?”
You blink, confused,
“She's been dutifully taking pictures of your progress as a new member of the Astral express. I've.. learnt from experience It's better that you don't try to stop her.”
You laugh awkwardly, staring down as March excitedly flips through the photo book. It's a bit embarrassing now that you recall.
“Here! Look, look, look! I caught [name] in all their glory!”
“March..”
You awkwardly laugh, as Dan Heng looks over at the photo March points to in her photobook,
You cringe as you see your own expression, dull and groggy, a stark contrast to the bright letters and stickers decorating the edge of the photo that's glued tightly onto the page. You're drooling, to top it off.
“Hehe, [name] looks cute here don't they?!”
March points down to another photo right below, blurry in the midst of action. Your hazy figure is sitting up on a bed, Stelle draped over your lap while in charge of watching over you when you first appeared.
“I should have stayed to watch over, instead.”
Dan Heng comments under his breath, glancing back momentarily at Stelle, her chin hooked over his shoulder after having abandoned the game, seemingly more interested in the collection.
You chuckle softly,
Where did it begin exactly?
You boarded as an official member of the Astral Express about a few months ago, a gold brooch handed over to you, and many new faces who welcomed you onboard. You remember being home one day, going to sleep and hoping, just hoping that all of your worries and stress would just.. disappear. Your head hit the pillow and then-
You woke up. Here.
Suddenly you woke up in the very game you played to relieve your stress. Ironically, that moment you woke up was one of your most stressful memories, panicking at the situation you were in–
“Aw, dang it. I got defeated.”
All of you look over to Stelle, and to the red screen on her phone. You chuckle, as March sighs and shifts the topic.
You yawn and settle back onto the bed, leaning on a pile of pillows as March and Dan Heng continue their banter, taking this time to go through your stats, swiping and tinkering on your phone.
You've reached a higher level now. Having unlocked many items and even levelled up some basic features which allowed you to at the very least, defend yourself.
You read through the archived stories, gazing over all the past dialogue you've shared with this trio from the “main quest” ever since you boarded. Your friendship level with many had increased gradually over time, and shot up with the trio, as expected.
“[Name]..”
Stelle whines, pushing her phone back to you. You giggle, taking the device from her hands,
“Alright, I won't get distracted this time.”
-
This was your first expedition as a new member of the Astral Express. Which didn't help considering you were going into Penacony of all places.
You were nervous – how was your presence going to alter the timeline? Maybe a less “on screen” role like Himeko's? Or maybe you should have just stayed back with Dan Heng? But the experience, materials and all sorts of gizmos Penacony was going to offer.. It was too tempting.
And here you are, in the lobby. Himeko and Welt continue negotiating with the young woman at the reception. You were already on edge, but it seemed things just had to go wrong as well.
To distract yourself, you fidgeted and anxiously viewed the prologue to Penacony the system had just offered to you, repeatedly scrolling up and down on your phone, tapping your foot, pacing around the hotel a bit when–
A hand came up to your shoulder.
“It seems you're quite worried.”
You looked back.
It's Robin.
“Sorry, uh, we're.. having difficulty with the check-in and..”
You momentarily trail off, almost lost as you look at Robin. Her in game model was beautiful, but now that you're standing in front of her, it's almost.. mesmerising. Her eyes are beautiful – deep and ethereal. Pretty pink lips and softly dusted cheeks, her hair wispy and framing her face just the right way. You're awestruck for a moment, before panicking and snapping out of your daze.
You're at a hotel lobby for aeons’ sake!
“O-Oh, uh, my family is–”
You turn over to see Himeko and Welt continuing to go back and forth with the young woman at the reception, and turn again to see March and Stelle slightly off in the corner talking anxiously.
“They seem lovely.”
Robin smiles at you. And suddenly, your eyebrows and shoulders relax. Your jaw slightly slacks. Something about Robin seems to soothe you more than you ever thought.
Your eyes trail over to the bar in the corner;
Friendship level: 0
Right. She's still a stranger, in this timeline of events.
You're snapped out of your thoughts momentarily as another, unfamiliar voice speaks up from the crowd – a blonde man, addressing your fellow trailblazers.
This can't be good.
You walk up, regrouping with March and Stelle as they watch it all happen.
–
The golden hour was a familiar map to you, particularly because you'd loved exploring the place back when you used to play.
But actually being there is stunning.
The yellow lights brighten up the night-like atmosphere in a beautiful, classy way. It's almost as though you're in an old film, the way everything around you is hazy and glowing. There's laughter in the background and shimmering lights somewhere in the distance, drinks and the smell of food occasionally wafting in the air from corner cafés or so. You wander, awestruck at the sight of the landscape when–
You bump into someone, a small sound leaving you at the impact.
You look back to take a look at the stranger - more to try and ground yourself into this “dream” and your current reality. You were in Penacony. And all of this was physically interacting with you, regardless of how miniscule you must be. Whether you would have been reincarnated as a Cafe owner, or an NPC, or anyone else. As long as you were on Penacony, you were going to be a part of Sunday's grand plan.
You zone out, the hazy cacophony of ecstasy in the background blurring in the crowded space of your mind, thoughts overarching and bubbling up.
Beep!
You look at your phone, buzzing as quests pop up. You take a moment to look around the various shops, before your eyes land on a cozy cafe.
It won’t hurt to rest for a moment.
–
“Shit, shit, shit..”
You curse to yourself, frantically tapping on the screen and trying to fix this mess.
“Just– cooperate damn it..!”
Your teeth gnaw at your lip, biting and peeling off bits of the skin. It stings, but in your anxious state, you barely pay mind,
Why was the system not cooperating with you?!
None of your teleportation points worked, you weren't levelling up, barely any of the trinkets given by completion of quests were being used up! It was rudimentary junk in your inventory and now for some god awful reason, your entire system was going haywire!
System error: freespace is occupied!
System error: unavailable tab
System error: unable to access tab
System error: unable to complete..
“Yeah, yeah I got it you little-”
“Is something the matter?”
You gasped under your breath, a chill shooting up your spine as you turn around,
“No, no! Nothing, haha just.. uh..”
You awkwardly shuffle, pretending to look into your bag,
“You seem to be having trouble.”
Sunday's poised figure contrasts your sweaty, nervous, fidgeting one, as you only panic more at his words.
“Oh, just.. well.. it’s my first time visiting another world, so..”
“Ah, first time jitters? I’m faintly familiar.”
You chuckle awkwardly, but your humour doesn't seem to be exactly matched. Sunday’s smile doesn't widen or lessen, and neither does he chuckle. You realise how uncanny he looks in the dim lights of the Golden Hour barely illuminating his face in the alley.
“You seem to have been separated from your group. Would you like me to accompany you on your way back?”
“Sure–”
Warning: you are currently interacting with an influential figure. Proceed with caution.
“..you seem hesitant.”
You look at the glaring notification on your screen - akin to when an amber alert pops up, or when an earthquake warning resounds.
“..uh, I think.. I’ll be able to find them on my own. I should be fine.”
“I insist. As the representative and Spokesperson of The Family it is my duty to ensure the safety and relaxation of guests in the Dreamscape.”
Shit. This guy isn’t giving in.
You hesitate, a bead of sweat forming on your forehead and grazing the top of your eyebrow,
Beep!
Optional: would you like dialogue suggestions to be displayed?
[Yes]
[No]
[No – do not ask again]
You sigh internally. At least this system knows how to assist you when you need it.
“Shall we?”
Sunday beckons you to follow, as the pop-up blinks away, before you get the chance to select.
There’s no getting out of this. You’re just gonna have to suck it up and be careful.
“..sure.”
-
Sunday doesn’t remember when it exactly began.
Strange patterns, predictable dialogues, and the anomalies that occured..
Right after Sunday discovered your name.
He watched as the cup from the trash pile slipped and fell onto the pavement. Your name was written on it – messily and hurried. The cup rolls down a bit before hitting the side of his shoe. Sunday watched it with indifference, opting to simply move it aside before he spotted it. Your name. But it wasn’t supposed to be.
An alias? Maybe. It was different than the name administered in your profile.
He opted to push it back for later; but it was an interrupted thought as he walked ahead and watched you fiddle around with your phone, buzzing constantly as you cursed at it.
He breathes out, before deciding to approach you.
–
“Alone?”
“Alone.”
You respond, your eyes embarrassed and watching the various shuffling of feet in front of you, the crowd forming in front of the Rollercoaster you were too scared to go on.
Well, it's rather you haven't been able to go onto them.
Stelle and March offered you to join, and usually you'd be able to accept the invitation pop up, but as of recent, your system has been going haywire. The system probably narrowed down the scenarios you'd be allowed to participate in,in order to control the situation.
So you stood there, your mood dampened as you accepted that the system would not allow you to partake in the ride with your friends, shaking your head and telling them to go on instead, leaving you behind.
And Sunday saw all of it.
Or rather, just that you haven't gone onto the ride.
“Are you afraid of heights?”
“No, nothing like that.”
You chuckle softly, shaking your head. Even if you were.. he's not exactly the person you'd tell it to, anyway. You ignore the buzzing of your phone as it displays the same warning, jaded and moody as you'd been denied a great opportunity to have fun.
“..there is a new bakery that's opened up in the corner. Would you like to visit?”
You blink, and look at him, confused. He seems to have understood your confusion, and follows up,
“Until your companions have had their fill. Just for a cup of coffee.”
You hesitate, humming in contemplation. You look at the options displayed;
Options:
□ “Sure. Let's go.”
□ “sorry, my husband's waiting for me on the express.
□ “No thank y–
System Error: no options available
You sigh. You really need to do something about these errors. You nod,
“Sure. Let's go.”
…
The bakery was warm, and lively. As soon as you entered, the faintly sweet smell of pastries and the waft of coffee enveloped you two. You gawked at the mesmerising scenery, while Sunday asked for an available booth that's more hidden from the public eye.
The seats were soft, and pliable as you took your seat, still taking in the view of the bakery. You hear Sunday clearing his throat and tapping the table, your gaze shifting to him. He points to the menu. You understand his cue and take to reading it, your eyes scanning the plethora of options as Sunday does the same.
“Have you.. been here before?”
“I have visited once in the past. With my sister.”
“Ah, how is Robin?”
Your eyes settle on a particular option, as the silence between you two fills with comfortable conversation,
“She has been well. Are you looking forward to her performance at the coming Festival?”
You blink as you realise. How could you forget? The entire reason you and the rest of the crew even came to Penacony! This was the guy who was gonna put everyone into a coma!
“O-Oh, uh, yes! March has been talking non-stop about it, so..”
You chuckle awkwardly, flustered as he caught you a bit off guard. He hums, his face indifferent and neutral as your words process in his mind.
“I suppose I shall expect you in the audience, then?”
“March will drag me to the front, so you'll probably get a clear view of me in my uncomfortable glory.”
That seems to elicit a small, soft chuckle from him, as his eyes land on a specific item on the menu, seeming to have decided his own liking.
“Very well. I'll look forward to it.”
Soon enough, a waitress comes up to the table, and begins taking your orders.
–
“It does seem a tad scary, but the view is always beautiful in the Astral express.”
“I'm sure of it. It sounds wonderful.”
Sunday listens to you dutifully, as you continue talking. Somewhere along the way, your discomfort at the awkward silence between you two led to you talking and filling in the silence, your coffee cup hanging idly in your hands. One thing led to another, as both of you started talking about your childhood memories, tea flavours, desserts, and so on. You find Sunday has been easy to converse with. You'd been ignoring the constant buzzing of your phone – most likely achievements or quests that popped up constantly wherever you went.
You take another sip from your coffee as Sunday takes his initiative to talk, listening to him well, and chuckling slightly at one or the other thing.
“I came to know tea is supposed to be made with hot water, but by then I'd gotten accustomed.”
You giggle, slightly in disbelief,
“Well, do you like iced tea now?”
Sunday shakes his head,
“I prefer coffee, more than that. Perhaps due to needing it more than a preference..”
His eyes trail to your cup, as you hold it in your hands. You follow his gaze,
Is something wrong? He'd been glancing at your cup a few times now, but you didn't comment on it before.
“Is.. something wro–”
Your words are cut off as your phone loudly rings, making you almost fumble and drop your coffee as you hurriedly take your phone.
It's March!
Crap, you forgot.
“Sorry, I uh..”
You scroll through the plethora of notifications, almost all of them missed calls and various texts.
“It seems your companions were searching for you.”
You look up, as Sunday looks into the distance, Stelle and March running towards you.
–
It was strange how things progressed since you came to Penacony.
Some of your equipment took ages to level up, the others taking barely anything before they hit their maximum level. Your friendship level progressed pretty highly on some days, and barely moved an inch on other days.
Your friendship level with Sunday, on the other hand, shot up to a 5. Not even anyone on the Astral Express had that level.
You only noticed it a fraction before you cleared all your notifications at once, swiped away before your finger had the chance to tap on it.
Regardless, that wasn’t your exact concern as of late. The story of Penacony had been well under way now, and things were starting to pick up.
As of recent, you haven't been able to remember the quest contents as much as you used to, only remembering enough in the last moment to avert an extremely bad decision – at least for yourself. Your own personal missions left you alive by a hair's breadth.
But if that didn't upset you – your crew did. The pressure of everything happening on Penacony seemed to have started to weigh down on your team, as they barely regard you anymore. You could technically blame it on the system – it's been trying desperately to revive and fix itself as the game progresses. You might be interfering with the inner workings, so you suppose it's only natural the game tries to limit your interactions with the world.
So for the most part, you've resigned yourself to be an NPC; walking around all of the tourist attractions, getting who knows how many cups of coffee, trying on various clothing items, and occasionally running into Sunday. The first few times, you awkwardly fiddled with your phone for optional dialogues, but as time went on, you felt more comfortable. Regardless, it's not like anything you say can technically avert him from his current plan. It's been in the schemes for who knows how long? As of now, it's less complicating to remain ignorant and act unknowing, and enjoying another walk with him as he surveys the Dreamscape. Considering how close you two might be getting, you'll probably end up telling him a few secrets from your past.
-
“The Grand theatre is Penacony’s main attraction.”
Sunday’s face is illuminated by it in the distance, as he stands, staring at it. His voice is barely audible, seemingly as if he speaks to himself. But that idea is swept under the rug the moment he turns slightly to you.
When was this cutscene? You curse your memory, the fog of your mind still not cleared from when you first came to this world,
“Have you decided to attend?”
Truthfully, you didn’t want to. Considering the story, you actually knew the event wasn’t going to happen. But in the case it did..
Options:
□ “Ill be there first in line to enter.”
□ “Im thinking about it.”
□ “probably not..”
“..I have.”
You hesitantly answer.
“You haven’t made up your mind.”
Sunday states, more as a fact than a question. You can’t blame him, considering the hesitance apparent in your voice.
“..out of everyone, I’d hoped you would have attended.”
The options flicker and appear, but before you can press and respond, he continues,
“I understand. How has your family been?”
He turns to face you, you stay silent for a moment, before humming and clicking on an option,
□ “They’re alright.”
□ “I hope they’re all okay.”
□ “I wouldn’t really know..”
“Ah, uh.. we’re all kind of in our separate ways right now, so.. I wouldn’t really know.”
“I see.”
Both of you stand in silence, as you follow his gaze to the glowing theatre. After a moment, Sunday breaks his silence,
“When I was a child, I was particularly soft-spoken. Back then, Robin used to stand up for me frequently.”
Your ears perk up slightly. Is he talking about a childhood memory right now?
“One day, she wasn’t around, taking a few extra music lessons. The other kids were simply curious enough to take me in.”
You hum, listening to him intently. Your eyes gaze over his features – softly shaded by the cold light of the theatre, and illuminated by the yellow lights of the path.
“We were all kids. One of them pulled and broke my wing that day.”
You gasp, involuntarily. Ouch.
But sunday only chuckles at your reaction, his eyes downwards and distant. You don't think he finds it funny.
“But do you know? Right after that - they visited me. Day after day. Every step of recovery. Every recess when I had to sit back, they accompanied me. I thought about it recently. Humanity is worth saving.”
You stay silent, before smiling. The silence seems pleasant over you two, as you stare at the Grand Theatre in the distance.
“That, is when human spirit and strife first piqued my interest.”
You blink, and turn to look at him, the smile on your face faltering,
“What must the weak, the misfortunate, and the falsely accused do to gain balance within this world?”
You’re left speechless for a moment. It seems even the system cannot exactly provide you any dialogue options, as you glance over to your phone.
“..balance in the world isn’t achievable, which is why the human spirit strives to fix it.”
You stay silent, listening to him.
“Would a bird that cannot fly be allowed to, simply because it yearns to? Would it be righteous of you, or of the bird, to allow the freedom and death of the vast sky? Is it still righteous, if you withhold its freedom?”
He inhales, slowly, speaking in a low voice, wavering.
“Is death the only comprehensible freedom life offers, beside slumber, to the weak? Is that truly freedom?”
Sunday turns to look at you – his golden eyes almost searing into your soul.
You break out into a sweat, panicking as you check your phone, desperately trying to find an option when–
System Error: options not available
Shit, shit, shit. Holy crap. Can you even speak right now?
You're left silently staring at Sunday. He stares back before resigning to quietly look away.
You should leave.
—
Your memory seems to be strangely affected – either because you haven't been able to adjust to the new world, or you just haven't been able to adapt to Penacony.
You groan and slump into the couch of your room, in the real world. You keep forgetting to charge your phone – which isn't technically a hassle; you can access the same menu options, it's just more.. time-consuming. Not to mention you lose your only source of dialogue option pop ups.
How long has this been going on? You knew Penacony had a vast and complicated storyline, but living it feels entirely different. Feeling it is entirely bizarre. No wonder your head's spinning.
But thankfully, it should end soon. Your last quest is to face off Sunday in his boss form. You and your members have decided to meet up at the Grand Theatre, where the event will take place.
You place your phone into charging, and right on cue, March pops up into your room. She stumbles around your room a bit the moment you turn your back, even hear her drop and accidentally knock over some items on her way, simply laughing at the girl, as you continue packing up and preparing for the final “showdown”. You disregard her words, when she tells you she felt something push her.
-
You're not sure when the next cutscene plays.
You're in the grand theatre; just having defeated Sunday, and collectively waiting to return to the Astral Express. This is when you meet Boothill and Black Swan, where she wakes you up using Misha as a fallacy within Ena's dream.
But you aren't waking up.
You've just been stranded in the empty grand theatre after the darkness lifted.
You try to turn your phone on – but its busted. March must have disconnected the plug when she stumbled across a few things.
You sigh, irritated and antsy, choosing to walk ahead and look warily at the mechanical statues. The quest description is empty; devoid of any explanation. The title is vague and doesn't indicate much. Are you stuck in the loading screen? What the hell is going on?
And just as you are about to shout out for help – Sunday appears. There he is, on the stage. But this time, there's no spotlight. He stares down at you, emptily. You're creeped out for the lack of a better word, feeling your skin crawl with every second he stares. The silence is paper thin and thickly dense at the same time; electrified with tension and the unknown.
He makes the first step, slowly descending down and towards you.
“You are an outsider.”
System error: cannot process dialogue
“You do not belong here.”
System error: cannot proceed further
“I do not belong here.”
System warning: further interaction in this context may lead to irreversible da–
Sunday's hand rips through the warning, causing it to glitch violently, and disappear. You're scared, your throat constricting and your heart almost lurching out of your chest as he continues walking towards you, eyes searing into your soul,
“We do not belong here.”
Beep!
Options:
□ We do not belong here
□ I do not belong here
□ You do not belong here
□ We belong together
■ There is nothing else left for you here. You cannot turn back. There is no other option.
The screen glitches out, as Sunday stands before you, his hand reaching out,
“Tell me. What is your name?”
You can't access anything – the menu, the quests, your inventory, nothing. You stare almost endlessly in horror, as Sunday speaks of your real name.
You shouldn't have used it on that coffee cup.

Little peep
Summary: The daggers keep begging so a little peep won't hurt....right?
Warning: Contains alcohol, cursing, teasing, mentions of labour, postpartum.
Word count: 2437 words
Pairing: Jake "Hangman" Seresin x reader
English is not my first language so I apologies for mistakes
Could be read alone or as part 4 of the little life universe
Two weeks later, Jake was finally back home, the familiar comfort of his Texas house wrapping around him like a warm embrace. The night was quiet, and the soft hum of the baby monitor filled the room as he tiptoed out of Ellie’s nursery.
He had just finished changing her diaper and giving her a bottle, carefully laying her down in her crib. Ellie had drifted off to sleep almost immediately, her tiny hand curling around one of his fingers for a moment before she let go. Jake stood there for a minute longer, watching her sleep peacefully, his heart swelling with that deep, protective love he was still getting used to.
Once he was sure she was settled, he left the nursery door slightly ajar and made his way to the master bedroom. The day had been long, and he felt the exhaustion in his bones as he pulled off his shirt, kicked off his boots, and collapsed onto the bed. The cool sheets felt like heaven against his skin, and he let out a deep sigh, sinking into the mattress.
He barely had time to close his eyes when he heard soft footsteps padding into the room. He didn’t need to look up to know it was Y/N; he could always sense when she was near. The bed dipped as she climbed onto it, straddling his hips, her warmth immediately bringing a grin to his face.
“Finally got her down, huh?” Y/N’s voice was soft, teasing as she leaned forward, her hands resting on his chest.
Jake looked up at her, his grin widening as he met her eyes. “Yeah, she went out like a light after the bottle. Our little angel’s finally giving us a break.”
Y/N chuckled, running her fingers lightly down his chest, but before she could say anything else, Jake’s hands were on her thighs. He gripped her legs firmly, pushing them wide apart with ease, and the sudden movement made Y/N squirm. A surprised giggle escaped her lips as she tried to shift against him, but Jake’s grip was strong, effortlessly holding her in place.
“Jake!” she squealed, her voice a mix of laughter and mock annoyance. “Stop that, you know I can’t fight you when you do that!”
Jake’s grin turned playful as he lifted her slightly, his muscles flexing under her hands as he easily shifted her weight. “You forget how strong I am, darlin’,” he teased, his voice low and filled with that cocky confidence she knew so well.
Y/N gasped as he lifted her higher, practically bench-pressing her as if she weighed nothing. She slapped his chest playfully, trying to wriggle free, but her laughter only grew louder as he held her steady. “Jake Seresin, put me down!”
Jake laughed, his deep voice rumbling in his chest as he lifted her a little higher, watching her squirm and giggle. “Why? You seem pretty comfortable up there.”
Y/N’s breath came in soft gasps between her giggles as she tried to brace herself against his chest, her hands splayed out for balance. “I swear, you’re gonna throw me across the room one of these days!”
Jake’s smirk widened as he slowly lowered her back down, letting her settle on his hips again. “Nah, darlin’, I’d never let you go that far,” he said, his voice dropping into a more tender tone. His hands slid up her thighs, resting on her hips as he looked up at her with that same adoring look he always gave her. “But I do love seeing you squirm.”
Y/N’s cheeks flushed, her laughter subsiding as she leaned forward, resting her forehead against his. “You’re impossible,” she murmured, though the smile never left her face.
Jake’s hands moved to her waist, holding her close. “And you love me for it.”
She rolled her eyes, but her smile softened as she pressed a kiss to his lips. “Yeah, I do.”
Jake wrapped his strong arms around your waist, pulling you down flat onto his chest. Your head rested against his warm, bare skin as he tugged the blanket over the both of you, cocooning you in a cozy, intimate bubble. His heart beat steadily beneath your ear, the rhythm grounding you in the quiet of the night.
With a satisfied sigh, Jake shifted slightly under you, his hand tracing soft circles on your back as he spoke. “You know,” he murmured, his voice low and relaxed, “Coyote’s dying to see you again. Keeps bugging me about when he can meet Ellie, too.”
You lifted your head slightly, resting your chin on his chest as you looked up at him, amused. “Oh, is that so? He’s been waiting for the big introduction?”
Jake chuckled, his fingers brushing a loose strand of hair from your face. “You have no idea. Every time I see him, it’s the same thing—‘When do I get to see the little Seresin? You know she’s got all my charm, right?’” He rolled his eyes, though there was a fondness in his voice when he mentioned his best friend. “He thinks Ellie’s gonna be his honorary niece or something.”
You couldn’t help but smile at the thought. “He already sounds like the proud uncle.”
Jake’s lips curved into a grin as he looked down at you. “Oh, trust me, he’s already planning the first time he can spoil her rotten. But he’s mostly just dying to see you again. Says he misses your sass keeping me in check.”
You laughed softly, laying your cheek back down on his chest. “I guess I’ve been out of practice. You’ve been doing too good of a job keeping me distracted.”
Jake smirked, his hand sliding up and down your back, his touch gentle and soothing. “Well, can’t have that. I’m sure Coyote will remind you how much fun it is to keep me on my toes.”
You hummed softly, the warmth of his body and the comfort of being wrapped up together making your eyes feel heavy. “It’ll be nice to see him again, though. And introduce him to Ellie. I’m sure she’ll have him wrapped around her little finger in no time.”
Jake’s grin softened as he looked up at the ceiling, his hand still caressing your back. “Yeah, she will. Just like she’s already got me.”
You glanced up at him, catching the tender look in his eyes. “She really does, doesn’t she?”
Jake met your gaze, his expression softening even more. “Yeah,” he said quietly, his voice filled with a warmth that made your heart melt. “Both of you do.”
For a moment, there was nothing but the sound of your breathing and the gentle rise and fall of Jake’s chest beneath you. The weight of the world outside seemed so far away, and in that moment, it was just the two of you—and Ellie, sleeping peacefully down the hall.
You smiled against his skin, feeling a deep sense of contentment wash over you. “Well, we’re not letting you go anytime soon.”
Jake chuckled softly, his arms tightening around you, holding you even closer. “Good,” he whispered, kissing the top of your head. “Because I’m exactly where I wanna be.”
---
A week later, Jake was back at the base, and Coyote was already on him the second they finished their morning briefing. As they made their way out of the hangar, Coyote nudged Jake with his elbow, a wide grin plastered on his face.
“Alright, man, come on,” Coyote started, his voice low but insistent. “I’ve been patient for long enough. Let me see some more pictures of my niece.”
Jake rolled his eyes, though a small smile tugged at the corner of his lips. “I showed you pictures last week, Javy. How much has she really changed in that time?”
Coyote shot him an incredulous look. “You’re kidding, right? Babies change every day, man. Now come on, don’t hold out on me.”
Jake glanced around the hangar, making sure none of the other Daggers were around. He didn’t mind showing Coyote pictures of Ellie, but the rest of the squad didn’t know anything yet, and he wasn’t ready to open that can of worms.
“Alright, fine,” Jake relented, pulling out his phone. “But make sure no one sees.”
Coyote leaned in close as Jake unlocked his phone, and with a quick swipe, the screen filled with pictures of Ellie. There she was, bundled up in a soft pink onesie, her little fist curled around one of Jake’s fingers. Another photo showed her fast asleep on Jake’s chest, and another captured her looking up with wide, curious eyes while Y/N held her.
Coyote’s grin widened as he flicked through the photos, his eyes lighting up with each new one. “Man, she’s adorable. She’s definitely got your eyes, but thank God she looks more like Y/N.”
Jake smirked, nudging him playfully. “Watch it, Javy. You’re lucky she likes you.”
Coyote chuckled, still scrolling through the photos. “I’m serious, though. Why don’t Y/N and the baby just move down here? It’s gotta be tough, you running back and forth all the time.”
Jake sighed, running a hand through his hair. He’d thought about that question a lot. “It’s complicated,” he said quietly. “Y/N’s got her whole life back in Texas—her writing, her family. We’ve talked about it, but she loves it there. I don’t want to push her.”
Coyote nodded, though a flicker of understanding passed through his eyes. “Yeah, I get it. But man, you know she’d love it here. And you’d get to see them every day instead of sneaking off for a couple of weeks whenever you can.”
Jake didn’t respond right away, his mind wandering to Y/N and Ellie, wondering if things could ever be that simple. But before he could dwell on it too much, he heard the familiar voices of the rest of the squad entering the hangar.
“Shit,” Jake muttered under his breath, quickly locking his phone and shoving it into his pocket just as Rooster, Phoenix, and the others walked in.
Rooster was the first to notice the sudden movement. “What are you hiding, Seresin?”
Jake flashed them a casual smile, leaning back against the wall. “Nothing you need to worry about, Bradshaw.”
Phoenix raised an eyebrow, clearly not convinced. “Yeah, right. You’ve been acting all secretive lately. What’s going on?”
Jake kept his composure, shrugging it off. “Just trying to keep my personal life… personal. Not everything’s for show.”
Rooster smirked. “You? Keeping something to yourself? That’s a first.”
Jake shot him a look, his tone light but firm. “There’s a first time for everything.”
The squad didn’t press him any further, though the curiosity lingered in the air as they gathered their gear. Coyote caught Jake’s eye and gave him a knowing grin, keeping quiet about what he’d just seen. But Jake could feel the questions hanging in the air, and he knew it was only a matter of time before he’d have to share the truth with the rest of them. Just… not yet.
---
The next couple of days at the base were relentless. The Dagger Squad wasn’t letting up, not after Jake had locked his phone so quickly and dodged their questions the other day. It was like blood in the water, and now they were circling, each of them taking turns to try and get him to crack.
One afternoon, after they’d wrapped up a round of drills, the squad gathered around the break room table. Jake leaned back in his chair, arms crossed, hoping to project an air of disinterest, but Rooster wasn’t buying it. He leaned forward, resting his elbows on the table, and fixed Jake with a knowing look.
“Come on, Seresin, we know you’re hiding something,” Rooster said, his voice teasing but insistent. “You’ve been acting weird for weeks. Just tell us.”
Phoenix, sitting across from Jake, chimed in, arms folded. “Yeah, you’ve been sneaking off to take phone calls, locking your phone like it’s got state secrets on it. What’s going on with you?”
Jake smirked, but he didn’t respond, keeping his eyes focused on the coffee mug in front of him.
Fanboy groaned dramatically, throwing his hands in the air. “Dude, you’ve got to tell us. We’re dying over here!”
Payback leaned back in his chair, crossing his arms. “You know what this feels like? It’s like when you’re watching a movie, and you’re halfway through, and then the power goes out. We need the rest of the story, Hangman.”
Bob, sitting quietly up until now, looked up with a curious expression. “Is this about a girl?”
That got everyone’s attention. All eyes immediately turned to Jake, the question hanging in the air. For a moment, there was silence, and then Jake raised an eyebrow, his trademark smirk slipping into place.
“Maybe,” he said nonchalantly.
The room erupted.
“Oh my God, it is a girl!” Phoenix exclaimed, her voice rising with excitement as she leaned forward, her eyes wide.
Rooster let out a low whistle, shaking his head with a grin. “Seresin’s got a secret girl? This is too good.”
Fanboy practically bounced in his seat. “Come on, man, spill it! Who is she? How long’s it been going on? How come we haven’t met her?”
The questions came all at once, and the entire squad seemed to buzz with energy, practically on the edge of their seats, eager for details. Even Payback, who usually kept his cool, looked like he was about to press for more.
Jake raised his hands in mock surrender, cutting them off before the excitement got out of control. “Alright, alright, calm down,” he said, trying to keep his tone cool and collected, though a small part of him was amused by their reactions. “I’ve got more important shit to do than sit here and listen to you all squeal like a bunch of high schoolers.”
The squad groaned in unison, but Jake stood up from the table, grabbing his coffee mug as he made his way to the door.
Rooster leaned back, shaking his head. “Damn, Hangman, you’re killing us here.”
Phoenix crossed her arms, watching Jake with a smirk. “You’re not getting away that easy, Seresin. We’ll get it out of you eventually.”
Jake chuckled as he paused at the door, glancing back at them. “Good luck with that,” he said with a wink before walking out, leaving the rest of the squad behind, still buzzing with curiosity.
But as Jake made his way down the hallway, he knew it was only a matter of time before they figured it out—or before he’d have to come clean.

...............................................................
She could cry.
The visions had been getting better. She had been doing better. But suddenly, a horrific sight flooded her mind and she couldn't stop it from happening.
Stark blood stained the stone floors of a great castle.
"The Lannisters send their regards…" she sniffled. That was all she could remember of it. "The Lannisters…"
She feared what her great lord husband would think when he found out about her… peculiarity. He knew of it only in speech, never seeing it for himself.
She couldn't let him view what she had become.
Her handmaiden had told her to keep Cregan at arms distance in order to keep her dreams and visions from scaring him, or worse, casting her aside.
But she couldn't handle it tonight.
She needed to see that he was okay.
She jumped up and walked out of her chamber, not bothering to grab her robe.
Her feet padded against the cold floor of Winterfell as she ran to his room.
But once she reached the door that she knew was his, she hesitated.
She should not interrupt his sleep.
She shouldn't bother him.
She shouldn't…
She knocked on the door and waited.
After a while, the door opened with a creak. Cregan's tired form filled the doorway. He was angry, reasonably so, thinking that a servant had interrupted his sleep. But seeing the culprit to be his wife, he softened his tone, "Whatever is the matter?"
"I… I just… I-" she stopped herself, realizing how pathetic her words had become.
Cregan tilted his head, rubbing his eyes forcefully. "What is it?"
"I needed to see you," she almost whimpered.
He paused and considered her words. "You wanted to see me?" He questioned.
"I needed to see that you're alright," she clarified.
"I am fine," he stated, holding his arms out as proof. "I was abed, slumbering quite peacefully. You have nothing to fret over."
She steadied her breathing, "Right." She rubbed her arm soothingly. "It was foolish of me to wake you. Please forgive me."
"I will if you tell me what caused such a ruckus in your mind," he stated, a twinkling coming to his eye as his mind finally was beginning to wake.
He hadn't gotten to spend as much time with her as he had hoped. She was skittish, and fairly so, but he couldn't find a way to connect with her.
Perhaps it was because she wished for her own room. Or so Cregan had been led to believe.
"Well?" He questioned when she gave no response.
"I saw something."
"Alright," he said as he took in her words. "What is it that you saw? Are you alright?"
"No, my lord," she persisted. "I saw something."
Oh.
He knew that she had visions, but he had yet to see the effects of them.
And now here she was, teary-eyed in the night at his door, begging to see that he was alright.
Whatever had occurred must have been quite serious.
He hummed in thought. Rather than saying anything, he moved out of the doorway, motioning with his head for her to come in.
She obeyed and walked into his room. She walked past him and began to observe his chambers.
The room was lit only by the flames of the fire in the fireplace. She walked to the fire to warm her.
Cregan shut the door and turned to her. "Chilled?"
She shrugged lightly as she stared into the flames.
He moved next to her. His hand brushed against her lower back in an attempt to sooth her.
"There was… there was blood," she whispered out. "Stark blood."
He felt a chill go down his spine. "Stark blood?" He rubs a hand down his small beard and huffs. "Sit down. I want to hear it all."
"You don't," she countered.
"I promise to you that I do. Now sit," he commanded softly.
She considered his words then nodded, sitting on the sofa by the fire. She pulled her legs up to her chest and began. "Well, I usually try to forget."
Cregan sat down next to her but left enough room to let her be comfortable. "If you don't wish to tell me, just say so."
"I'll remember. Just… give me a moment."
"Take your time," he remarked sweetly.
They sat in silence for a while.
"The lion will set a trap and the young wolf will fall. Red will rain down… as the king meets his match."
Cregan hummed. "That's a harsh dream, don't you think? Do they always frighten you like this?"
"There was… a feast… a…. A wedding feast. There was a Stark. I'm sure it was you, I'm sure of it. And… and a wife that I… I hope is me. She was with child but…" her voice trailed off completely this time.
"But…?" He pushed.
"But... the wedding was a trap. And you died. It was horrid."
"Do your dreams always come true?"
"Not usually. But… I imagine that they will one day. That day is just not come yet."
He thought for a while, leaning back on the sofa. "Is there anything else of note to this dream?"
"They said something. Before… before we were slaughtered."
His face paled, "You as well?"
She nodded, "Well… I believe I may have been first. Me and…" the words got caught in her throat. "…the…the child."
Cregan's mind began to go into overdrive. The child? She believed he would ever let something befall her and a child of his in that manner?
He already felt protective over the non-existent babe.
"What did they say?" He asked lowly as he looked to her.
She continued to stare at the flames. " 'The Lannisters send their regards.' "
Cregan stood and began to pace as he rubbed his forehead with his hand. The other was placed on his hip.
She watched his shadow dance across the ceiling as he moved. "Do you think me mad?"
He paused and turned his head to look at her. "What?"
"It's alright if you do. The people do. I've heard their whispers in the night when they think I cannot hear them. I imagine you whisper as well."
"You are my wife. Why would I ever-"
"-Please. Do not lie to save my dignity." She sniffled. "You have a wife that will surely go mad by her last days. It's alright to admit it."
"You're not mad, nor will you be," he stated forcefully, trying to make her believe it. "Do they speak to you in that manner? Do they say things to you?"
"Sometimes," she answered with a dead tone. She was indifferent to it all now.
He sighed. "I understand your need for space, but I'd like you to move into here. Permanently. What do you think?"
"I shouldn't."
He marched to her and knelt in front of her. "I want you to feel safe. Wanted." He took her hand. "Whether this vision is the very vision of truth or whether it's all shit, I'm tired of this wall between us. Now, will you help me tear it down?"
She bit the inside of her cheek and nodded.
He smiled lightly, brushing her cheek with his calloused fingers. "Thank you. Perhaps you should rest. It's still fairly early in the night. Enough time to find sleep."
"I couldn't sleep now. I never can after seeing things."
"Hmm. Well… perhaps you'll indulge me by laying by my side as I rest?" He offered, hoping to coax her under the warm furs.
He wanted to further tease her, but stopped himself, knowing that she was working through her thoughts. "I'm only asking for your company and nothing more."
She nodded.
He smiled and took her hand, leading her to the bed and pulling the furs aside. "The journey from your room to this one must have been cold. Were you so concerned for me you didn't grab a cloak?"
When she said nothing, he took that as an answer enough. "Let us get you warm then."
The two settled into the bed, the constantly flickering light from the flames almost leaving them in darkness.
She laid on the edge of the bed. She didn't want to overstep her welcome. She wasn't sure how far that welcome extended.
But his large arm wrapped around her waist and pulled her to him, and a chuckle came from his throat. "I wouldn't invite you if I didn't want you here."
She snuggled into his chest and relished the heat that radiated from him.
"I am sorry I have not been more attentive to you," he mentioned. "I should have been kinder and more welcoming."
"No," she interrupted. "I've pushed you away-"
"-Because I made you feel as if that was the best outcome." He brushed hair from her face. "Don't fret about that anymore. And in the morning, I want a list of those who have spoken unkindly to you."
"What will you do?"
He said nothing, only holding her closer.
As she began to lull to sleep, he smiled. "I won't let a Lannister touch you. That I can promise."

That summer...
"The best part about our wedding venue is that it's free," you whispered. "The worst part is that we had to clean it ourselves."
"Agreed," Bradley replied with a groan.
You were exhausted, both physically and mentally, and now you were sprawled out mostly on top of Bradley on the living room couch which was too small even for him alone. His big hand was heavy where it rested on your back, and his voice was a deep rumble in his chest.
"But on Saturday, we'll be married. So it's worth it."
His words warmed you as you snuggled a little closer. Both of you could use a shower after the day you had, but you didn't even make it that far yet. As soon as you walked inside, this is where you ended up. You were expecting his stomach to start growling at any moment, and you were prepared to make some sandwiches when necessary.
"It was nice of Nat, Marty and Ruby to help us get things ready," you told him with a yawn.
In a shocking turn of events, Marty and Ruby got married over spring break in Las Vegas after going on just six dates. Actually, when you considered that they probably fell in love the day they met, it wasn't that shocking at all. People told you all the time they were surprised you were marrying Bradley a year after you blindly mailed a box to an unknown Naval aviator, but to you, it all felt exactly right.
"Marty was like a wizard with that scrub brush today. I don't think there's anything he can't do," Bradley said, mirroring your yawn with one of his own. "Are all of your kiddos coming on Saturday?"
"Mmm... most of them, yeah. And don't forget, you have to drive Edith up with you."
"I won't forget. She's a pretty integral part to our day, Gorgeous," he muttered, and sure enough his stomach began to rumble. "Damn, I was hoping I'd make it to the shower with you first." He gave your rear end a squeeze. "I haven't seen you naked since this morning."
You groaned and started to ease your body away from him and stood. "You'll see plenty of that when we're in Paris."
"I better," he replied, one eyebrow cocked as he examined you in your filthy old jeans and one of his ratty undershirts. "You look damn good, Mrs. Bradshaw. You'll need a new name tag for your classroom door when school starts in August."
Your fingers dragged through his wavy hair before tracing the scars on his cheek. "If I change my name." A little pout appeared on his lips, and you leaned down to kiss it away. "Come on and have a sandwich before we get cleaned up, Handsome."
-------------------------------
Bradley had much less responsibility on Saturday than you did. He had to put on his dress whites, fix his hair, and drive Edith up to Mira Mesa with him. You on the other hand left with Natasha first thing in the morning after demanding Bradley not even look at you. Apparently that was bad luck, but he'd already been watching you sleep peacefully when he woke around dawn before falling asleep again.
He wasn't exactly nervous about the wedding, but he was a little anxious. He wanted to get married and settle into things before your school year started. And before he left again for deployment. You always seemed to have more patience for his career than he did, but he wanted to be selfish and have some time at home while he was still a newlywed. And that didn't even account for the upcoming week in Paris.
While he was in the bathroom, running his fingers through his damp hair, Bradley examined his freshly shaven cheeks. Sometimes he forgot about his facial scars. You always looked at him like he was flawless, and now it rarely occurred to him to be overly self conscious about it. But they were there, and you had kissed all over them last night before bed while you teased him about what you wrote for your wedding vows.
He didn't bother to write his down. What would be the point in that? He could hardly ever shut up about how much he loved you, so he would just say what was on his mind when the time came. The ceremony was going to be quick anyway since Marty was officiating. Bradley could tell the reserved, older man only agreed to do it for the sake of friendship, and you told him he could keep it very short.
As he pulled his white uniform on, Bradley smiled, knowing he'd have you back in bed this evening before leaving insanely early to go to the airport in the morning. When be was all set, he grabbed the wedding bands from the dresser, and headed over to get Edith.
She was wearing a purple dress and had her sheet music with her, and Bradley realized that other than Nat, she was the closest thing to a family member that he would have with him today. "Thanks for coming up to Mira Mesa, Edith," he said, opening the passenger door of his Bronco for her.
She looked delighted. "It's my pleasure. I'm just so pleased you asked me to be there. And you look so handsome, Bradley. And very happy."
He was happy. So fucking happy. And that was the bottom line. He was too busy being happy to think about his scars or worry about reading his wedding vows from a piece of paper. He fell in love with you through notes, emails and letters, but today he was going off script.
"I am happy, Edith. Happier than I ever expected to be."
------------------------------
"God, you look like a dream," Natasha gushed, fluffing out the bottom of your simple wedding dress before adjusting the straps along your shoulders. "Your makeup is beautiful, and your hair is perfect. Bradley is going to piss his pants when he sees you."
"Hopefully not while he's in his dress whites," you replied, making her crack up while she took a step back to inspect you one last time.
She planted her hands on her hips in her cute, green dress. "This is going to be the perfect wedding. A quick ceremony followed by spaghetti and meatballs catered from the best restaurant in San Diego. This is how everyone should get married."
"I told Marty the ceremony needs to be quick, because Bradley's stomach will growl the whole time otherwise. I don't like it when he has to go too long without eating," you murmured, looking down at the fabric that cascaded along your new shoes. When you looked up again, Natasha was leaning with one shoulder against the brick exterior of your elementary school and wiping tears from her eyes. "What's wrong?"
"Nothing," she whispered, shaking her head and sniffing. "It's just that you get him. You understand him." She took a deep breath and added, "Bradley seems big and boisterous, but he's actually really sensitive. And he needs someone to look after him and make sure he eats enough. That's the kind of shit he needs. Not someone who is always mad at him for having feelings. He needs you, because you love him back as much as he loves you."
"Natasha," you gasped, reaching for her as tears stung your eyes. She had known Bradley for so many years, and her words made your heart swell with even more happiness. "I do love him. So much," you whispered as she squeezed you tight.
Then you heard the sound of a piano playing in the distance and knew you needed to start walking toward the playground. "Take care of him. And let him take care of you," Natasha said.
She wiped her tears on her sleeve as she gently guided you across the asphalt and handed you a bouquet of flowers. Your wedding vows were folded up into a paper airplane amongst the blooms that came from the florist Bradley used for your surprise bouquet when he was last deployed. Your heart beat a little faster as Natasha headed away from you and turned at the corner of the building, and then it was your turn to start walking.
The first thing you saw was the parking lot where Bradley's Bronco sat next to the Salvatore's catering van. Then the small, outdoor lunch pavilion came into view, which Ruby spent the morning decorating with fresh flowers, paper airplanes, and the fanciest disposable tableware you could find. Then you saw all of the kids from your class last year, and you smiled as they all waved and shouted your name.
But when you finally saw the playground equipment, Bradley was standing there in his dress whites surrounded by his friends and your friends and Maverick and Ruby. And his smile was so bright as you ran to him while Edith played the piano in the auditorium with all the windows open. It was a medley of love songs, but none of them compared to the love you felt when you were in Bradley's arms.
"Hey, Gorgeous," he whispered, scooping you up when you reached him, crushing the flowers between your body and his. "You look so pretty."
His dress whites were a bit scratchy against your skin, and this was the only time you'd seen him wearing them other than that one night last month that turned into some role playing after he tried them on. He always took your breath away. Since the first moment he wrote back to your letter, you just wanted more of him. You couldn't help but kiss him.
"Oh no!" Violet gasped. "You're supposed to do that at the end!"
Bradley laughed against your lips, and you turned your head to really take a good look at all the kids. They were all there with parents, some of whom had been at Career Day. And they were dressed up and looked adorable. You were going to miss them next year when they were in fifth grade.
"I promise we'll do it again at the end," Bradley laughed, his voice a deep rumble against your palm.
Then the piano music came to a stop, and Edith came shuffling outside as Marty introduced himself to everyone.
"I'm sure the kids all remember you, Marty," you assured him. "You were the coolest adult at Career Day."
"Hey," Bradley complained as he tried to straighten out your flowers.
"I meant second coolest adult at Career Day," you amended, and now both Marty and Bradley were smiling.
"Well, regardless, you told me to keep this quick," Marty said. You could already smell the spaghetti and knew for sure Bradley was hungry. "So quick it shall be." He cleared his throat and said, "I'm pretty sure I knew Lieutenant Bradshaw was in love before he knew it himself. I've overlapped with him on several deployments over the past eight years, and he always seemed a little bit lonely." You laced your fingers with Bradley's and leaned against his shoulder as Marty continued. "Until last year when he asked for my permission to take some photos and videos of me working on an engine rebuild. I told him I didn't mind, and then he divulged that it was for a fourth grade class back in California. My immediate assumption was that he was dating a teacher, but he told me he was just writing to some new pen pals. By the end of that long deployment, he told me he'd fallen for their teacher and couldn't wait to meet her."
"That's the absolute truth," Bradley murmured, his lips pressed to your forehead.
"We helped though," called Jayden, and you started laughing.
"That's also very true," Bradley confirmed. "Couldn't have pulled this off without all eighteen of you."
Marty shrugged. "That's pretty much all I have to say. It's so obvious that the two of you are made for each other. And I'm happy my friend isn't lonely anymore. Oh, and thanks for introducing me to Ruby." He blushed as he looked at his wife who then blew him a kiss. "Uh, so you can probably say some vows if you want to."
"Right," you agreed, handing your flowers to Bradley as you pulled the paper airplane from between two roses.
"Nice touch," he told you as you unfolded it, and he was all smiles when you looked up into his brown eyes.
"I learned from the best." You smoothed the page out in your hands. Your handwriting looked a little blurry as you realized there were tears in your eyes. After you read the few words you'd written from your heart, Bradley would do the same. And then you'd be married. You were almost dizzy with anticipation as you grinned up at him in his white hat which was slightly crooked now. "Bradley. You give me these butterflies in my tummy. All the time. From the very start. At first, I thought it was just a novelty. An extremely attractive man was taking time out of his day to humor me and my students? Butterflies galore." Bradley ducked his head and blushed, and when you reached up to touch his name tag, he met your gaze again. "But then I noticed a pattern. I felt them anytime I shamelessly thought about you. Whenever I reread your letters. When I refreshed my inbox hoping for a little note. When a box arrived for my class. Butterflies."
"Gorgeous," he whispered, cheeks still pink. "Baby, I was falling in love with you."
You laughed when he kissed your forehead again. "I was falling in love with you, too. But imagine my surprise when your deployment was ending and you asked me out. And then you made my students and I a priority the very first day you were back. And you've made me a priority ever since. Bradley, the butterflies don't stop, and I don't want them to."
He nodded. "I want you to have them forever. I promise I'll try to make that happen."
"I know you will," you whispered. "And I promise to dispose of all the spiders for you." He barked out a laugh. "And I will always say your name just to watch you melt a little bit. And I promise to talk aviation to you and always make sure you eat and always say I love you."
"Well, shit," he grunted, then his eyes went wide as he glanced at the kids and back to your face. "I mean, shoot. All of that sounds like everything I want." He cleared his throat, and you took your flowers back from his big hand. "I didn't actually write my vows down, because they are simple. They are never going to change. Sure, we got to know each other by writing and typing out our thoughts and feelings. And yeah, I still love getting a notification on my phone and reading what you sent to me. But nothing compares to hearing your voice. Nothing compares to how good I feel when I can tell you how much I love you in person."
"Bradley," you whispered, eyes and nose burning with unshed tears.
"I know, Gorgeous. It overwhelms me, too. You already have my heart. You own it. Everything I have to offer is yours. I just ask for three things in return." You pressed your lips together to keep from sobbing. "First, I'm so serious about the spiders, okay? If you see one, don't even tell me about it, just make it go away, alright?" You nodded and laughed through your tears. "Second, I need you onboard with movie nights on the little couch forever. I like that you end up laying on me because there's not enough room. I like staying in for the night with you."
"It's my favorite," you whispered. "Let's do it forever. What's number three?"
Bradley smiled and leaned a little closer. "Number three. I just need you to talk to me. However you can. Let me hear your voice. Email me. Text me or call me. Write me a letter or fill up a journal. Anything. All of it. I just need you to talk to me no matter where I am. I'm pretty sure that will get me through anything."
You were nodding in agreement as you thrust your bouquet at Marty and threw your arms around Bradley's neck. When your lips met his, you felt the butterflies. "I can do that," you promised before he kissed you harder.
You could hear your former fourth graders all cheering, and then Marty said, "I guess as far as I'm concerned, you're married."
You were wrapped up in Bradley's warm grasp as he kissed you until Natasha had to say, "There are children present!" When he finally pulled away, you watched his eyes grow wide.
"We forgot the wedding bands." He dug around in his pocket and pulled them out, slipping yours into place right away. "I want mine on, too. Been looking forward to wearing it for weeks."
"I know you have," you told him, lingering on the feel of his rough hand against yours as you slide it on. "It looks good on you. Now, I think it's time for you to have some spaghetti."
---------------------------------
Bradley moaned as he bit into a chocolate pastry that melted in his mouth. It was buttery and delicious, and about to be topped off by the cup of coffee in front of him. "I was wrong," he grunted.
You looked at him across the cafe table, tucked under the awning and out of the rain that landed on the cobblestone street ten feet away. "Wrong about what?" you asked, brow creased in concern.
He held out the pastry for you to nibble on as he said, "Paris isn't just the city of love and the city of sex. It's also the city of food."
You laughed and covered your mouth as you chewed. "You've had plenty of all three since we got here, Bradley."
"I sure have," he agreed, thinking about all the frilly French lingerie inside the shopping bag at your feet. "And I would really like to have some more of each."
"And here I was concerned you'd miss Thai dinners on the beach and the food at Salvatore's."
"Oh! I should talk to them about putting chocolate pastries on their menu."
"You would bug to go there every day."
"Nah," he said, taking a sip of the best coffee he'd ever had. "Not every day. Nothing beats hanging out on our couch. Now, how many of these should we take back to the hotel?" he asked, holding up the last bit of the snack before popping it into his mouth. He moaned as it melted away on his tongue. "I'm just going to go inside and have them pack up whatever they have left."
"We can come back tomorrow!" you said with a laugh. "We're in Paris for three more days, Bradley."
"I love the way you think, Baby," he replied with a nod. "We'll take a bunch back now, and then we'll come back tomorrow."
When you and he headed out into the rain, he kept you tucked against his side along with the box of pastries and the bag of lingerie while he held the umbrella.
"Looks like there's nothing much to do for the rest of the afternoon," you said casually. "Seems like a pretty good time for you to have more love and sex and food."
"Let's go, Mrs. Bradshaw. I think you have some things to try on for me."Thirty minutes later, all the lingerie you tried on was already removed again, but only after he'd taken some pictures. And now you and he were doing the same thing you'd done at least once per day since you checked into the hotel room which overlooked the Champs-Élysées and the Eiffel Tower beyond.
"Oh god," you moaned, on your hands and knees, naked on the bed. Bradley had his hands on your hips, holding you still so you could enjoy the view of the rainy city while he fucked you from behind. "It's so pretty here," you whined.
"Look at me, Baby," he coaxed, running his left hand complete with wedding band up along your back. He stroked your neck as you turned your head to show him your beautiful face and fucked out expression over your shoulder. "It's Gorgeous."

Words: 2.6k
Pairing: Clarisse La Rue x Fem!Reader (Daughter of Poseidon)
Synopsis: When your friends accuse Clarisse of stealing the lightning bolt, you make a choice that dooms Olympus.
Warnings: PJO EPISODE VI SPOILERS, r has anger issues, r isn't too fond of the gods, ooc!clarisse, Luke. [Let me know if I missed any.]
A/N: People say you should write to get over writer's block, so here's another Clarisse x reader. The new episode had me stressing out for Clarisse and she wasn't even there. At least we got good Percabeth scenes.
masterlist || previous work
---
You’re leaning against a wooden crate while Grover proceeds to explain why Clarisse is the lightning thief. The pounding of your heart was the only thing you made yourself hear, tuning out of the conversation. You couldn’t believe it. You refuse to believe it. Clarisse wouldn’t do something like that. Something’s wrong. They are wrong.
“Y/n?” Percy stands in front of you, looking apologetic. You meet his gaze, realizing that they must have finished talking. You don’t say anything, figuring that your conflicting emotions are visible to them. “I’m sorry about Clarisse. I know that you think she’s not capable of stealing the lightning bolt, but all signs lead to her.”
The glare that you send Percy makes him flinch. “She didn’t do it.” You claim. Percy opens his mouth to protest, but you weren’t done talking. “I know she didn’t. I’m sure of it.” You say the words with such conviction that Percy can’t help but feel bad for you. You scowl upon seeing his sympathetic look, shaking your head. “Don’t give me that look.”
“Y/n…” Grover interjects, moving to stand beside Percy. “I know that this is hard to hear since Clarisse is your—” Grover cut himself off, “But there’s no other half-blood Ares could possibly want to protect except his favorite daughter.” He says softly, trying to reason with you.
You were far past reason, however. Not when Clarisse is involved. You walk a few steps closer to them, your jaw clenching. They both take a step back, their backs hitting a combination of crates and cages. They weren’t used to seeing you like this. They’ve watched you protect them from monsters, but they haven’t experienced being on the receiving end of your wrath. It was not a good feeling.
“Say one more word about Clarisse being the lightning thief and I will make sure none of us get to the underworld in time for the solstice.”
Grover and Percy merely nodded, too afraid to argue.
You retreated to the corner furthest away from them; feeling more exhausted than you had been since the quest began. A part of you wanted to ensure that Percy completes his quest and that he clears his and your father’s name, another part wants nothing more than to protect Clarisse, but the emotion that overpowers both is your anger.
How could they all just sit there and come to that conclusion without thinking it through? Their accusation didn’t even have that much of a backbone to support it with. You were mad at yourself for not being able to convince them otherwise. You were mad at Ares for taking Grover’s bait and for not ratting out the real thief, which you probably shouldn’t say out loud. Though, at this point, you didn’t care because tomorrow morning, Percy and Annabeth were going to send an Iris Message to camp and there will be nothing you can do to stop Chiron, Mr. D, and the rest of the demigods from going after Clarisse. You needed to act and you needed to act fast.
---
As soon as Percy, Annabeth, and Grover fell asleep, you stood up and silently moved to the truck’s doors. Percy was leaning against one of the cages, his eyes peacefully shut. Sometimes, you forget that he’s still a kid. He should be enjoying his childhood, not going off fighting monsters. But unfortunately, that’s just the way life goes when you’re a half-blood, being in constant danger. Yet another reason to be mad at the gods. You shake your head, trying to ignore the pang of guilt when you think about leaving your brother. If there had been another way, you would have taken it.
You just hope Percy forgives you when all of this is over.
…Or if he survives the solstice.
You stop in your tracks, wondering if what you’re about to do is the right decision to make when Annabeth starts to stir.
It was now or never.
You continue making your way to the door, but something in the corner of your eye stops you.
The bag that Ares gave.
There was something about it that drew you in. You know you shouldn’t, but you grab the bag, opening the top zipper. There was cash, clothes, and golden drachmas, exactly what the god of war said. You had no need for cash or clothes, so you take those out. You scoop a few drachmas and place the rest on the floor, putting the coins inside the bag since it would be handier than putting it in your pockets. You sling the bag over your shoulder and bolt for the doors, the metal making a loud bang the moment you force it open. Before either one of the trio could go after you, you were already a few miles ahead – or behind, depending on which direction you’re looking from – of them.
You don’t stop running until you reach a coast. You wanted to collapse in exhaustion, but you force yourself to keep going until your feet touch the water. Sighing in relief, you close your eyes, allowing the water to give you strength. The wind was chilly tonight, darkness looming above you. The possibility of war was getting closer yet here you were, having just abandoned your brother for Clarisse.
You didn’t know what you were going to do when you reached camp. Would you try convincing Chiron that Clarisse wasn’t the culprit? Would you run away with your girlfriend? Or would you take the blame despite not having the lightning bolt yourself?
You hear a whine before you, prompting you to open your eyes. A creature with the head and front legs of a horse but with the tail of a fish appeared in front of you, tilting its head a little. Your eyebrows scrunched in confusion, “Did my dad send you?” You asked.
Yes, my lady.
Your brows scrunch even more (if that was possible) at the term. Your hand reaches out to pet the hippocampus, the creature leaning into your touch. You were still surprised that your father, Poseidon, decided to help you. He did listen to your prayers most of the time, but you thought that he wasn’t your biggest fan at the moment, seeing how you were about to go to camp and possibly ruin his reputation. You guess you were wrong. A small smile graced its way onto your face as you mumble, “Thank you, father.” You get on the hippocampus, the creature making sure you were properly seated before it started moving.
---
The sun had completely risen by the time you reached camp. Being on a hippocampus was by far the best mode of transportation, in your opinion. You got good sleep this time. You get off of Summer (you learned that that was her name when you were trying to make conversation), your feet landing on the shore.
“Thank you, Summer. I promise I’ll give you a snack when I see you again.” You promise, smiling softly.
Summer made a noise of approval before diving back into the water.
You look towards the woods, feeling like something was about to go wrong. “You can’t back down now.” You mumble to yourself. Clarisse needed your help. This is the reason why you came back to camp. You will your feet to move, one foot in front of the other.
This wasn’t gonna end well.
---
Sneaking into camp was easy. Getting past the campers was the hard part. If they saw you, they would bombard you with questions. You can already sense the kind of questions they’d ask, the things they would say. You grit your teeth in annoyance. Everyone seemed to be doing something. Though, the number of campers in the archery practice range and the dining pavilion were smaller compared to the last time you were here. Odd. You shake your head, trudging forward, trying to look for Clarisse.
“You stupid moron! I told you. I didn’t steal the lightning bolt!”
Ah, there she was.
Your heart flutters upon hearing her voice. There was no mistaking that that was her.
You see Luke get out of the armory. You could make out a figure behind him, a girl tied against one of the tables. Your expression hardens as you stare at the Hermes cabin councilor. Before he could meet your gaze, you hide behind one of the cabins.
Anger coursed through you again. Your fists clenched, leaning your head against the structure of the Zeus cabin. You wait for a minute, then another, then another, before you feel your anger subsiding. You use the back part of the cabins in order to get to the armory, rushing past groups of campers before they could spot you.
The armory was unguarded, which was a bad decision on Luke’s part. Like seriously? The armory is the best choice you can come up with to lock up the alleged thief in? There are dangerous weapons in there. If they had caught the real thief and locked them there, it would have been a bloody day. You scowl at their incompetence, but your expression morphs into one of worry when you open the door and see Clarisse.
She glances towards you, squinting her eyes from the harsh glare of the sun. “Y/n? What are you doing here?”
“I don’t have time to explain.” You march towards her and settle yourself in front of her. Her hands were tied. “Gods, what have they done to you?” You mutter, grabbing a dagger from the table above her and using it to cut the rope.
“They’re accusing me of stealing the lightning bolt, which is stupid because I didn’t do it. This must be Percy’s doing.” Clarisse grumbles, an apologetic look crossing her face after she says the last sentence. “Sorry. I know he’s your brother, but…”
“They’re wrong. I know.” You nod reassuringly. Not a second after you finish cutting the rope, Clarisse surges forward to pull you into an embrace. You laugh in surprise, pulling her closer, “Woah, there. Hi.” You close your eyes, inhaling her familiar scent. It was good to have her near you again. You let out a sigh of relief, placing your hand on her hair. “I missed you.” You say.
“I missed you too.” Clarisse replies before reluctantly pulling away. She places both of her hands on your face, as if memorizing it all over again. Her brows were scrunched as she looks at a scar that wasn’t there before you left and you found yourself wanting to ease her worries.
“It’s not as bad as it looks.”
She scowls. “You got hurt.”
“I’m okay now.” You insist. Before she asks follow-up questions, you try to state why you were here in the first place. “I tried to convince Percy, Grover, and Annabeth that you didn’t steal the lightning bolt, but they wouldn’t listen. So, I jumped out of the truck when they were sleeping. I got a few drachmas in case of emergencies. Then, I went to a beach, where a hippocampus appeared and brought me here. And now I’m realizing I didn’t think too far ahead because I don’t know what to do now. If I can’t convince Mr. D or Chiron that you’re innocent, I… We can run away. Yes, that we can do.”
“You did all of that for me?” Clarisse had an unreadable expression on her face. She looked like she wanted to kiss you, yell at you, and cry all at once.
Your brows furrow. “Of course I would. Why wouldn’t I?”
“You could’ve gotten hurt.”
“But I didn’t.”
“That was really stupid.” She says.
“I know.”
“You jeopardized the quest.”
“I know.”
“You could’ve experienced your father’s wrath.”
“I know.” A small laugh escapes you.
Clarisse shakes her head, “You’re unbelievable, you know that?”
“Yes, so I’ve been told.” You roll your eyes.
“Gods, I love you.” Clarisse mumbles.
You sport a teasing grin, “Aww, you do?”
“Shut up.” She punches your shoulder playfully.
“Ouch!”
“What are you doing?”
Your playful banter came to an end when you hear Luke enter the front door, two of the kids from the Athena cabin standing behind him. You turn, stepping forward to stand in front of Clarisse. You’ve been in similar positions in the past, except she was the one protecting you. Now, it was time to return the favor.
Both Athena kids step forward on Luke’s signal, dragging both you and Clarisse outside, where there was a cluster of campers watching you.
Great, a show. Just what you needed.
“What were you doing with the lightning thief?” Luke questions.
It took a shake of Clarisse’s head to stop you from attacking him. You settled for “accidentally” stepping on his toes instead. “Clarisse is not the lightning thief.” You state. Around you, there stood at least two dozen campers. You spot Chiron and Mr. D amidst the campers and your eyes light up. “You don’t even have proof that she stole the lightning bolt, so how can you be so sure that it’s her?”
Luke ignores your question entirely. “Just give up, Y/n. Stop protecting her. You know that she stole it. We all do.”
“She didn’t steal it!” You yell, meeting Luke’s eyes. It felt like having a staring contest with a statue.
“Yeah, well, how do you know?!” His voice raises to match yours, his cold gaze almost scaring you. Almost.
You fall silent, not having a proper answer to that. Truth was, you didn’t. You could just feel it. But making choices based on feelings isn’t a good enough reason for anyone in this camp. You turn towards Chiron for help, but he doesn’t say anything. The entirety of the Ares cabin is quiet as well. That’s when it occurs to you that if they don’t speak up, there is a zero percent chance that anyone else will.
Luke appears smug, as if he had proved his point. “Exa—”
“Because I did it.”
You shock even yourself at your words, but you do nothing to take them back. You weren’t able to see any other option left. You were surrounded. If you’d try to escape with Clarisse, you weren’t making it out of camp alive. This was your last resort.
“What?” Clarisse says beside you, her voice barely above a whisper. You force yourself not to look at her. You wouldn’t be able to stand the look of betrayal on her face. You’d rather have her hating you than have her punished for something she didn’t do.
Luke scoffs, “No, you didn’t.”
“Yes, I did.”
You don’t break eye contact with Luke as you say the words, ignoring Clarisse’s screams of protest.
For once, Luke was taken aback. He keeps shaking his head, “No, you’re lying. Just give up already. You can’t protect her anymore.”
“I stole the lightning bolt.” You say, louder this time around.
“Miss L/n, that is a serious admission.” Chiron says, his tone grave. You could see the apprehension in his eyes. “Are you sure you stole the lightning bolt?”
“She’s bluffing.” Luke announces, but he sounds unsure.
Your bag grows heavier, as if someone placed a boulder inside it while you were talking to Luke. It was too much to carry. Naturally, you removed the bag from your shoulder, setting it down on the grass. You open the backpack’s zipper, your breath hitching when you see the thing that has been weighing it down. You pull it out of the bag, hearing gasps and words of alarm from the campers.
The bolt crackled in your hand, the color mesmerizing you. You tilt your head with a sly grin, your eyes fixed on Luke.
“Do you believe me now?”

Sugar, Sugar Part 3
Pairing: WandaNat x Reader
Word Count: 2.2k
Summary: The three of you officially sign the contract and now you're their sugar baby
Warnings: this contains daddy kink, mommy kink, threesomes, dom/sub dynamic, face sitting, edging, praise, bondage, strap on fucking, other things I’m sure I’m forgetting
Author's Note: I know this is starting out kinda slow paced but it will be picking up soon! Also ignore any mistakes in this. I didn't proof read it because I'm too tired to. Anyway enjoy!
Part 1 Part 2
Harsh evening light is hitting your face, waking you up.
The first thing you notice when you wake up his how soft the bed is. It's certainly softer than anything you've ever known. The second thing you notice is the two women on either side of you. They lay there peacefully, the three of you intertwined together. Flashbacks to a few hours ago run through your mind, making you blush. You were never the type to sleep with someone so easily, but with them everything was different. It didn’t matter that you barely knew the two women.
Wanda starts to stir, averting your attention from your thoughts to her.
"Hi," you say.
"Hi baby," she says, sleepiness lacing her voice. "How are you feeling?"
"A little tired, but I'm good." You go to scooch away from Wanda, now suddenly aware of just how close the two of you are, when she pulls you back.
"Don't leave honey," she whispers to you. "You're so warm, it's a nice change from Natalia. That woman is like an icebox," she says making you laugh.
"No I'm not, you're just always cold," Natasha grumbles, now awake.
“Aww I’m sorry baby did we wake you?” Wanda's voice is laced with mock apology.
“You know you did,” Natasha says, her piercing glare directed at Wanda. “But I’m glad because now I get to spend my morning with this beautiful little thing.” Natasha moves around in the bed until she is facing you. Her hand finds it’s way to your chin, a subtle act of dominance that sends heat straight to your core. She leans in and captures your lips with hers. It’s slow and passionate and makes you melt against her. Natasha’s hand slips between the two of you, running down your front and she almost slips it into the shorts you’re wearing when Wanda stops her.
“Hold on you two before we do anything else we need to get the contract printed and signed.”
Both you and Natasha groan in unison.
“Do we have to,” you whine out.
“Yes we do baby. It’s for your safety and ours. We’ve gotta do it.”
“Okay fine,” you grumble, but allow Wanda to pull you out of bed. Natasha follows closely behind. Wanda leads you to the room you had been in yesterday, where she turns on her computer and starts printing off the contract that one of them had somehow had the time to make. In no time the three of you sign it, officially beginning your time as their sugar baby.
"Now where were we," Natasha says. She steps towards you, one arm wrapping around your waist, the other grabbing you and pulling you to her. She kisses you hard and deeply, causing you to give in to her. You're pliable to her will, willing to let her do whatever she wants to you.
"Please," you beg once the two of you finally pull apart.
"What do you want detka? Be a good girl and use your words," Wanda taunts. She's sitting in a chair, watching all of this go down.
"Come on tell us what you want milyy, or else we'll give you nothing," Natasha says.
"I want one of you to fuck me please," you beg.
"Good girl," Natasha says. She picks you up, wrapping your legs around her waist and take you back to their room. She lays you down on the bed, pulling your clothes off. You lie there naked as she towers over you fully clothed.
"Wanda?" Natasha asks.
"Can you grab the red strap and some rope?"
"Already on it." You can hear Wanda inside their closet, refiling through it, trying to find the things Natasha asked for.
"Remember if you need to stop call out red okay?" Natasha says, checking in on you.
"Ok if I need to stop I will."
"That's my good girl." Natasha climbs on top of you and gently kisses you, but breaks the two of you apart when Wanda comes back in the room.
You let out a whine, wanting her lips back on yours. However Wanda is quick to correct you.
"Don't whine unless you want us to give you something to whine about malysh."
"I'm sorry mommy."
"Good girl that's better. Now put your arms up against the headboard and your legs spread out." You do as you're asked and the two women work together to tie you up. They have you securely restrained in no time.
Wanda walks over to you and leans down while Natasha strips and puts the strap on on. She turns your face to her with one hand, her touch is tender.
“Daddy is going to play with you a little bit and then she’s gonna fuck you while mommy rides your face ok?” Wanda’s tone is gentle and her voice is soft as she speaks to you. It makes the dirty words that just came out of her mouth that much hotter to you.
“Ok mommy,” you say. You try to clench your thighs together, wanting to relieve the ache that is forming, but with your legs tied apart you can’t.
“Aww is someone feeling a little needy?” Natasha asks. You hadn’t even realized she had finished putting the harness on. But now she is standing in front of you, the strap on swinging between her legs. She looks heavenly, you think.
“Please daddy,” you beg.
“What do you want detka?”
“Daddy please touch me.” You start to wiggle a bit, once again trying to relieve the ache, but it does nothing more than make Natasha laugh at how pathetic you look.
“Is this where you want me to touch you detka?” Natasha’s hand ghosts over your inner thigh, so close yet too far away from where you really need her.
“No daddy. Higher please.”
“Right here?” Natasha’s hand caresses your stomach, teasing you.
“Please touch my pussy daddy,” you finally cry out, frustrated from Natasha’s teasing.
“Good girl,” Natasha says. She lays down on her stomach, her face right up against your pussy. She uses her right hand to hold your hips down, while her thumb plays with your clit.
“Oh god,” you loudly moan out.
“Does daddy playing with your pussy feel good?” Wanda asks. She reaches a hand down to pull at your tits, your back arching off the bed as she does.
“It feels really good mommy,” you manage to say in between moans.
Natasha continues her assault on your pussy while Wanda assaults your chest. The two of them together are sending your brain into overdrive. The only thing you can think about is your impending orgasm and how good being touched by then feels.
“Please let me cum,” you beg. You’re not sure which one you’re begging to, they’re both making you feel good.
“Should we let our little princess cum Nat?”
“I think if she wants to cum she should do it on my strap,” Natasha says, pulling away from you. That action elicits a high pitched whine to escape your mouth, upset that you were so close and your orgasm was taken from you.
“Don’t whine detka, you’ll be back feeling good in a minute,” Natasha reassures you. Natasha positions herself, but doesn’t push into you yet, knowing Wanda wants to check in with you.
“I’m going to ride your face now ok? And Nat is going to fuck you. We’re going to let you adjust so tell us when we can move. If it gets to be too much and you can’t talk tap my thigh three times ok?” Wanda says, making sure you’re alright with everything that’s about to happen.
“Ok mommy.”
“Good girl,” Wanda says. She removes her skirt and underwear and straddles your face.
“Come on stick your tongue out. Let mommy ride your pretty little face.” You stick your tongue out just like Wanda asked you to, and she slowly sinks down onto your face, letting you adjust to the feeling.
“You both can move now,” you tell the two women. Once you do, Natasha starts fucking into you at a brutal pace. Your moans are constant, but they’re muffled by Wanda’s pussy in your face.
“You’re doing so good detka,” Wanda praises, chasing her own high. She grinds down onto your tongue, moans escaping her mouth.
“You’re so pretty when you’re taking my cock princess,” Natasha groans out. Her thrusts become faster and faster, pushing you closer and closer to release.
You moan out loudly, trying to ask permission to cum, but all that comes out is moans.
"You gonna cum baby?" Natasha asks, her voice a little breathless.
You moan, which Natasha takes as yes. Wanda's movements start to become erratic above you, a telltale sign that she's about to cum.
"Be a good girl and cum for daddy detka," Natasha says. The second she says that you cum all over her strap and Wanda cums all over your face and mouth. You happily lick it all up, savoring the taste of her.
"You're such a good girl princess," Wanda says as she climbs off of you. Natasha slips out of your pussy and the two women quickly untie you. Wanda walks back into the coset and returns with some sort of cream that the two women apply to your wrists and ankles, easing the burning feeling.
"You did so good for us, how are you feeling milyy?" Natasha asks once the two women had finished applying the cream. Wanda sets the cream on the nightstand and both women climb into bed with you.
"good but a little sleepy," you answer. You're clinging to both women, wanting to be as close to them as possible.
"Do you need a nap honey?" Wanda asks. You nod your head yes. The two women position themselves so that you're sandwiched between the two of them. It's a warm and comfortable feeling. The two women whisper soft praises to you until you fall into a gentle sleep. When you wake, you're still sandwiched between the two women.
"You feeling better darling?" Natasha asks.
"Yeah I feel a lot better." You sit up and look around. It doesn't look like you were out for long.
"There's something we want to talk to you about honey," Wanda says once you're more alert and awake. "we want to take you out tomorrow is that okay?"
“I’d really like that," you say, a blush making its way across your face at the idea of going out with these two beautiful women.
“is seven ok detka?” This time Natasha speaks.
“Yes that works for me,” you say, your voice full of exhaustion.
“We’ll pick you up. Just send us your address later when you’re not so tired ok?”
“I will.”
The three of you spend the next couple of hours talking and eating dinner. You're happy to get to know these two women better. But eventually you have to leave and go back home. Nat and Wanda escort you out of their house, making sure to give you a kiss goodbye. The whole way back to your apartment you’re freaking out. You can’t believe how lucky you are. That you get to sleep with two of the hottest women on the planet plus you get paid for it.
Soon enough you’re opening the door to your apartment.
"Oh my god Katie," you loudly exclaim as you walk in.
"I've never been so attracted to two people in my life. They're just so fucking hot."
"I bet it helps that they're fucking loaded," Kate jests.
"Yeah," you say blushing. "But that's not the only thing I like about them," you say defending the two women. "They're so kind and sweet. I've never met someone that I've connected with like I do with the two of them."
"Oh yeah I bet you do connect with them," Kate says, with a wink, making her innuendo more obvious.
"Katie," you whine.
"Wait I was just joking, you've slept with them already?" Shock laces her voice.
"Yeah," you say sheepishly. "I didn't plan on it, but they were just so hot. I never sleep with people that quickly but they're just so great and y’know they seem pretty caring and sweet," you say, going on and on about the two women.
"Wow, sounds like someone's a little smitten."
Kate's words bring a blush to your cheeks, but you're quick to correct her. "I'm not smitten Katie. I just like sleeping with them and the money," you say, but even as you say it, you're not sure that you completely believe it. The way those two women make you feel is unbelievable and overwhelming, but you’re choosing to ignore that for now.
"Anyway I need to go to bed, I'm exhausted," you tell your best friend.
"I bet it's exhausting keeping up with two super hot women," Kate says teasing you once again.
“Whatever Katie. Goodnight.”
“Goodnight,” she says back.
That night you lay in bed, wondering what tomorrows date (for lack of better words) will hold. Eventually you fall to sleep, excited for what tomorrow holds.

INVISIBLE STRING - r.c series (seven)
pairing: pogue!rafe x sweetheart!kook reader. chapter warnings: angst; mentions of domestic violence; unhealthy relationships;
For the first time in years, you wake up peacefully.
No racing heart, no threats lurking behind your closed eyes.
Just... calm. The type of quiet that lets you sink into the warmth of the blankets without a single worry. You’re so cozy, so perfectly at ease, you almost forget where you are and what led you here.
For a blissful moment, all you know is stillness. But then it hits you—this isn't your bed. No footsteps are stomping down the hall, no harsh voices insulting you through your morning peace.
You blink your eyes open, and it’s a simple little room. Not much here but a heavy old quilt over you, a plain dresser, a lamp that looks like it's been there forever. A small window where the sun is streaming in, bathing everything in a golden glow.
It’s almost funny, you realize with a little smile. You ran as far as you could, with no real plan except to escape, and somehow, by some twist of fate, you ended up here.
And then you remember why it feels so familiar.
It’s Rafe’s.
Your heart flutters around like it’s waking up for the first time in a while, too. You found him—or maybe he found you. After all those years of wondering what happened to him, your first love, the boy with grease-stained hands and the brightest smile was back.
He still looked at you like he cared, that was a given after what he did for you yesterday, between taking you to the hospital and offering you a place to stay, as if the years hadn’t put a single dent in the way he used to see you.
You’d half-expected him to just...look through you like you were a stranger. But Rafe—well, he’d always been different, hadn't he?
You let out a small, relieved sigh and curl up a little tighter under the quilt, sinking deeper into it, because today, you don’t have to run.
Back then, everything about Rafe felt like some secret only you were lucky enough to know. The scrapes on his knuckles, the stains that never really washed off his clothes, the way he’d sneak you out to the pier after dark to talk under the stars like you were the only two people on earth.
The entire world disappeared when you were with him—the line between Kook and Pogue didn’t mean a thing.
You remember his laugh, this loud carefree sound that would just bubble up, surprising even him. He’d make fun of how out of place you looked on the back of his old bike, but then he’d smile in this crooked, lovestruck way and kiss you so hard it didn’t matter.
God, you were in so deep, and you didn’t care. All you knew was that he was yours, and you were his, and nothing else could touch that.
Your mind is a mess of memories, all those nights you used to slip out to meet him, sneaking around with this thrill in your chest, like you were getting away with something impossible.
It all changed so fast.
One night, he was there, laughing with you in bed and calling you "princess" in that teasing way only he could get away with. The next, he was gone. You had no warning, no explanation—just this space where he used to be. Your parents finally admitted what they'd done, talking about him like he was a problem they’d finally got to fix. They had tried to break him, ship him off to some military school hours away, like he was just… trash.
But Rafe had always been too smart for them. He ran instead, left everything he knew behind, including you, before anyone could try to cage him. You didn’t understand it fully at first. You couldn’t.
Before college started, you’d waited at all your old spots, hoping he’d show up, that he’d come to you in the middle of the night, even if it meant climbing in through your bedroom window just to say goodbye.
But he never did, when the days turned into weeks, then months, you realized he’d left for good.
You never let him go, not really.
While everyone else told you to move on, you dug in. You spent so much, countless weekends sneaking off with the cash you'd save, paying people in shady corners of town, anyone who might know where he’d gone. You chased whispers and rumors and stray leads, but none of them ever led you to him. You used to lie awake at night praying he was okay, safe, wondering if he was ever thinking of you the way you still thought of him every single day.
You can’t shake the déjà vu now, lying here in his bed, realizing that somehow, by some freak chance, the universe led you back to him.
You think about yesterday, the look on his face when he saw you in his shop, like he couldn’t believe it was real either. He’d dropped everything, no hesitation.
You call back to those years without him— you’d try to keep going, but every day was like you were carrying a dead weight no one else could see. Nights were the worst.
You’d lie in bed, staring up at the ceiling, replaying all those stolen moments with him, pieces of a dream you were desperate not to forget. It was like trying to hold water in your hands; no matter how hard you tried, bits of him kept slipping through, fading with time, until you started to wonder if maybe you’d imagined how it felt to be that close to someone.
And God, you tried to let go, eventually.
You told yourself over and over, it was time to stop chasing after someone who’d left without a goodbye, who didn't want to be found.
You even went on dates, pretended you could replace him, like it would be so easy to “find someone else.” But no one else ever remotely compared to him.
No one else ever made you feel seen like that.
Certainly not Frederic and it's like a stab to your heart to even think about it now.
You’d never planned to be with someone like him. He was handsome, polite when you met him; everyone around you liked him, and your parents might as well have handed you over to him in a silver platter the second he moved to town.
They’d called it “the perfect match”—his family’s money, your family’s reputation. They belived it would keep you distracted, and finally help you forget the boy they’d done everything to erase from your life.
You went along with it.
What choice did you really have? Rafe had been gone for almost three years, and you were supposed to move on, fit into this life they wanted for you. So you played along, smiled through dinner parties and gatherings, told yourself you could settle for this.
He wasn’t cruel, not in the beginning, just possessive. You’d told yourself it was almost flattering, that it meant he cared about you, wanted you to be his in some way.
Until the day he found that old picture, the one you’d kept hidden away in your wallet all those years.
That’s when everything changed and he never looked at you the same after that. Suddenly, each glance, every small thing you did, the little freedom you had was a threat to him. You weren’t allowed to go out without him or talk to anyone he didn’t approve of.
He made you feel like you were nothing but his property, something he could control and shape into whatever he wanted. He tore apart the dainty pieces of your younger self you’d managed to keep, as if any proof of the life you’d had with Rafe was something he needed to crush with his bare hands.
After a while, he didn’t even attempt to hide the anger.
The first time he hit you, you’d been shocked, unable to believe it was happening. He apologized right after, swore it would never happen again, but you knew.
It was only the beginning.
From that day on, you lived in fear, knowing that any misstep could set him off, that each move you made was a risk. You learned to stay quiet, to keep your head down, to shrink yourself into a pet that wouldn’t provoke him.
Nothing was ever enough.
He’d pick fights out of nowhere, accuse you of things that didn’t make sense, twist everything around until you couldn’t tell what was real anymore. But you kept that picture.
Even after everything, he’d broken down every bit of strength you had, but you wouldn’t let it go. It was the only piece of Rafe you had, it didn’t matter that it was just a scrap. When Frederic was away doing business, late at night, you’d pull it out and stare at it, trace the edges of Rafe’s smile with your thumb, wishing you’d get to live something as beautiful again.
You’d almost forgotten was being okay felt like, to be somewhere you weren’t afraid to breathe too loud.
You sit up slowly, the quilt sliding off your shoulders as you stretch your arms overhead, your stomach is already growling with anticipation.
Swinging your legs over the side of the bed, you take a micro second to breathe in the peaceful quiet around you, then, you shuffle to the kitchen, still half wondering if it’s happening, if Rafe is really back in your life after all this time.
As you enter the kitchen, your heart does a little leap at the sight before you. There, resting on the table is a plate piled high with pancakes, golden and fluffy, topped with a pat of melting butter and a drizzle of syrup.
It looks so delicious and so… thoughtful. It’s the kind of breakfast you’d imagined when you were younger, that felt like love poured into every bite. Next to the plate, there’s a note, scribbled in Rafe’s familiar handwriting, the same jagged loops and curls that make you smile like you’re seventeen again.
You pick it up, your fingers brushing over the paper as you read, “had to run to the shop, didn’t want you to wake up hungry. eat these and don't save some for me, okay?”. You tuck the note into your pocket, almost like a talisman, and turn your attention back to the pancakes.
You settle at the table, the chair creaking beneath you, and pick up a fork. The first bite is like heaven—soft and sweet, the syrup running down your chin as you take a big mouthful.
You can’t stop the giggles, remembering those late-night snacks where you’d sneak with him, trying to be quiet so no one would hear.
He always ended up with more syrup on him than in the bowl.
As you devour the breakfast he made, you envision how he must have stood there in the kitchen, mixing the batter and flipping.
It's fun to picture him humming to himself, the light from the window hitting his dark blonde hair just right, making him look like some sort of guardian angel. The thought sends butterflies fluttering through your body, and after years in the dark, you feel light.
After finishing the last bite you can’t help but smile at the empty plate in front of you. Rafe really outdid himself. You feel a little giddy, a warmth spreading through you that has nothing to do with the syrup or the comfort of the food.
With a little bounce in your step, you push back the chair and head to the sink, rinsing off the plate. You look around the cozy kitchen, taking in the mismatched mugs and the old-fashioned fridge that looks like it’s seen a hundred breakfasts. It feels lived-in and warm, like a home should, despite not being full.
You can picture Rafe here, maybe making his disgusting black coffee, playing music while he reads. You’d love to share that with him, even if it sounds silly.
You wander to the window above the sink, pull back the curtain and peek out.
Outside, the engine noises and clanking tools are a little noisy but better than the yelling you’re used to. You can see him moving around, his familiar silhouette bent over the engine of a car, grease smudged across his forearms, the sun glinting off his skin.
You’re chewing your lip to death while you admire him like he's the last man on earth. Rafe is dressed in a snug white tank top that hugs his muscular frame, the fabric slightly worn and smudged with grease from a long morning in the shop, showcasing his broad shoulders and the beefy muscles of his biceps.
His arms are covered in a light sheen of oil, making him appear even more rugged and, honestly, a little bit scrumptious. He looks so effortlessly beautiful even in the middle of a workday.
His hair is tousled, falling in soft, messy waves that occasionally cover his eyes, and you find yourself wanting to reach up and push it back just so you can see his gorgeous blue eyes fully.
This is what you’d dreamed about, all those nights, clutching that tiny picture of him to your chest. Just seeing him like this, working hard like he used to be when you’d sneak out to find him.
You feel bad though.
He’d stayed up late with you, sat with you for hours, listening as you poured everything out, even as you broke down, sobbing so hard you couldn’t breathe. He held you until you fell asleep in his lap, his arms wrapped around you. And now, here he is, working already, probably exhausted after getting barely any rest.
You move back to his bedroom, scolding yourself for wanting to go out there and warn him to take it easy, but you know him.
He wouldn’t listen.
And maybe a part of you doesn’t want him to, either, because having him there all night, knowing he was close by, made you feel content.
Rafe never did anything halfway, did he? Even back then, he was so… him, so all-in, with that devotion that used to leave you breathless and a little woozy.
Years later, he’s still giving everything he has to make sure you’re okay, he hasn’t changed at all in the ways that matter.
You close your eyes for a moment, just to savor it, to commit this peace to memory in case you need it again someday. You’re not naïve; you know there are things to figure out, talks that need to happen, but he didn’t leave this time, didn’t slip away in the middle of the night, no hidden messages or unspoken goodbyes.
He’s right here, where you can see him.
You're still lost in thought, when you hear the front door open.
You sit up, smoothing out your hair and trying not to seem as flustered as you feel.
Footsteps come down the hall, until Rafe appears in the doorway, leaning on the doorframe, one hand braced above his head, looking at you with this little smirk that’s shier than he’d probably ever admit.
There’s a smear of grease on his jaw, and his tank top’s even dirtier than before, he’s been deep in a car engine for hours already.
“Hey,” he says, his voice rough, that southern drawl warming you to your toes. “Just came in to, uh… check on ya. Make sure you ate and all.” He nods toward the kitchen, rubbing the back of his neck like he’s not sure what to do with his hands. His eyes move to the empty plate on the table, and he lets out a tiny chuckle. “Guess ya did.”
You can’t help but smile back, a little nervous, and shy. There’s this energy between you—it feels like you’re both walking on eggshells, not quite sure how to talk to each other now that the cards are all on the table.
“Yeah,” you nod softly, clutching the quilt closer. “They were perfect. Thank you.”
He clears his throat, color creeping up his neck as he shrugs. He looks at you like he’s trying to understand every part of you that’s been ripped apart, searching for the pieces of the girl he used to know, while still seeing the woman you’ve become.
Rafe shuffles his feet, his hand drifting to rub the back of his neck, “Sorry, I should probably clean up,” he mutters, glancing down at his hands. “Lookin’ like a damn grease monkey in here.”
You laugh, and the sound seems to surprise him, making him look up with this sheepish grin that’s just so… him. For a second, no time has passed at all, you’re both still seventeen and completely caught up in each other.
Rafe’s gaze lands on the spot where the blanket’s slipped, showing a faint bruise along your collarbone. His muscles tighten just slightly, and he exhales as he asks, “You feelin’ any better?”
You nod, but he’s already moving closer, crouching down so he’s at eye level, his expression creased with worry. He reaches out to touch you, then pulls his hand back, second-guessing himself.
“They, uh… they still hurt?” He nods toward the bruises, his eyes darting over them with a pained look, like he feels every mark himself. He starts rambling, “I got some ice packs in the freezer if you need ’em or I could go grab one of those heat pads, I dunno which one’s better, but we can try both if you need. I don’t want you just sittin’ here hurtin’.” He gestures vaguely, tracing every inch of your body with this helpless, guilty look, because if he could take them on himself, he would.
“And, uh… I mean, if you’re achin’ at all, I got some Tylenol in the cabinet—not the strongest stuff, but it might help a little. Or if you need anything else, I can just run out and grab it.” His gaze darts back to your face, and he adds quickly, “Only if you want, though! I know you’re… you’re strong and all, but don’t mean you gotta sit there and hurt, alright?”
You can't stop smiling, watching him try to take care of you in his own awkward, fumbling way. His shoulders are all hunched up, his fingers fidgeting against his jeans, and there’s that endearing tint creeping up his neck again.
“Rafe…” you cut him off, and he stops mid-ramble, his mouth half-open, looking like he just got caught saying too much.
“Yeah?” he murmurs, his voice dropping, afraid he might’ve overstepped.
“I’m okay,” you assure him, reaching out to squeeze his hand.
His fingers curl around yours instantly, holding on like he needs the contact just as much as you do. It’s the smallest thing, just the press of his hand against yours, but after so long of being handled like broken porcelain, it’s overwhelming.
“Really, and I’m—I’m sorry I dumped all of that on you yesterday.”
You hadn’t planned on telling him every detail of your personal hell, but he made it so easy.
You were never the best at thinking while under that gaze, it’s wrapped in old memories and hope, and it scares you just as much as it soothes you. He’s close, the scent of his aftershave and engine grease making you feel dizzy with the memory of each kiss, whisper, every reckless promise you’d both made once upon a time.
Rafe sequeezes your hand tighter, thumb grazing your knuckles.
"Don’t be sorry. Not for that.” It’s so like him, and it nearly breaks you right there. All that quiet loyalty, he doesn’t even know how much he’s giving, he thinks you deserve all of it without question. “You don’t have to go back, y’know. Not if you don’t want to.”
This is real, and he’s right here, asking you to let him in, to let him be the one who pulls you from the darkness. The hardest part is, you know he would.
He’d fight the whole world if he thought it would keep you safe, if it meant you could stay. It’s terrifying, to even hope that you could have this, have him.
You cover your mouth, maybe if you squeeze hard enough, you can hold it in, but a choked sob escapes anyway, desperate, in a way that embarrasses you. Your shoulders start to shake, and the tears just keep coming, slipping down your jaw and dripping onto your sweater, his.
You try to wipe them away with the back of your hand, but they keep coming, your breaths are turning into these broken gasps that make you feel exposed.
Rafe’s moving without a word, sitting on the edge of the bed and gently pulling you into his lap like he had last night. He wraps his arms around you, careful not to hurt you, and you let yourself fold into him, leaning against his chest, the most familiar place in the world.
He tucks your head under his chin, his fingers cradling the back of your neck, and as your tears soak into his shirt, he leans down, whispering, his breath warm against your forehead.
“I got you. ‘m right here. Ain’t lettin’ go of you.”
He doesn’t flinch; doesn’t make you feel ashamed for being so sensitive.
Instead, he brushes his hand up and down your back, whispering quiet reassurances, giving you all the time in the world. He waits until your sobs taper off, left with only the shudders and hiccupping breaths, and even then, he just sits there quietly, letting you be.
Then, almost like he’s talking to himself, he starts,“So… y’know, been kind of busy these past few years,” he says, glancing away like he’s embarrassed. “Kept up with a lot of late nights in the shop. Got good at fixing engines—real good, actually. Think I could probably fix just about anything, even if it’s been beat up and run-down more times than you’d think possible.”
Rafe’s fingers trace along your arm as he talks, and you know why he’s doing this. He’s looking toward the window, most likely remembering each late night he’s spent there alone.
“Didn’t make much of it at first—just me and Jerry. But folks kept comin’ in, one by one, and eventually, we hired a few guys to help out.” He pauses, swallowing, “Guess it’s sort of a thing now.”
You feel your lips tug up and he must notice because his grip on you relaxes, and he lets out this almost bashful chuckle.
“Got a dog, too,” he continues, scratching the back of his neck like he’s telling you something ridiculous. “Well, he just kinda showed up one day at the shop, but he kept stickin’ around, so I named him Ace. Big, goofy mutt—probably not as tough as he thinks, but he likes to act like he’s protecting the place.” He shakes his head, “You’d like him, I think. He’d probably love you more than he loves me the second you showed up, little traitor. He sleeps downstairs."
“But y’know, no matter how busy it got, or how many things kept changin’… didn’t really feel like home.” He pauses, his hand moving to brush away a stray tear that’s found its way down your cheek, “I thought maybe if I just kept busy enough, I’d stop thinkin’ ‘bout you. Thought it’d get easier with time. But…” He trails off, like he’s confessing a secret. “Turns out it didn’t. No matter where I went, or what I did, it was always just there. Missin’ you.”
You can feel the soft rasp of his thumb against your neck, “I’m sorry.”
“Hey now,” he clicks his tongue, tipping your chin up with a knuckle until your eyes meet his, blue eyes looking at you with a tenderness that almost makes you bawl again. “None of that. I told you, you got nothin’ to be sorry for.” His gaze sweeps across your features, “You been through hell and back. I know that ain’t easy to walk away from, not like that.”
His thumb brushes a tear from your cheek while you ask him, “What if he… what if he finds me?”
Rafe’s jaw tightens, and there it is—that old, familiar fire lighting up in his eyes. It’s the same look he’d get any time someone even thought about hurting you, he’d rather throw himself in front of a train than let anything happen to you.
“He’s never gonna touch you again, okay? Not as long as I’m around.” His voice is almost a growl, fierce enough that makes you believe him. “I won’t let him, I swear it.”
You can’t even speak. Your heart feels so full of gratitude, but you manage to force out a, “Thank you, Rafe.”
He pulls the hair back from your face, “You don’t gotta thank me,” he murmurs, “All I ever wanted was for you to be okay. That’s enough for me.”
You look up at him, fingers sweeping against his skin as you ask, “Tell me more? About everything? I feel like I missed so much…”
You attempt to keep your voice from quivering, but there’s this misery in your chest, a deep longing to know the parts of him you hadn’t been there to witness. You tilt your head, waiting for him to continue, and then he looks down, being reluctant.
“Yeah, uh… there was one time I went to your university,” he confesses, the words coming out hushed, he’s scared he shouldn’t be admitting this. “It was years ago, but… yeah. I went up there to see you.”
Your eyes widen, “What?” The word slips out in disbelief, and you lean in, “When? Why didn’t you say anything?”
“I don’t know what I was thinkin’. I just… I wanted to see you. Thought maybe I could run into you, or—” He pauses, looking down at his hands. “Maybe I was hopin’ I’d have the guts to actually talk to you.
Your brain can’t help but conjure up, what it might’ve happened if he’d just walked across campus that day, to you. The two of you in that place.
You picture yourself, sitting on one of those worn benches under the big oak trees that dotted the quad, maybe with a book open on your lap that you weren’t really reading, because all you could think about was him. It wouldn’t have taken much—the way his heavy boots hit the ground, the scent of his cologne. Would you have jumped up and hugged him? Or would you have sat there, staring at him, wondering if you were somehow dreaming it all up?
It’s a fantasy, you know that, but deep down, you wish that had been your reality—the two of you fighting for each other instead of letting the world and distance pull you apart. It hurts like a bitch, thinking of all those lost years, all the things that could’ve been different if you’d both just been a little braver.
“Rafe…” you breath, and there’s so much tangled in that one word.
The years, the heartbreak, the distance—you don’t even know where to begin, and yet, you don’t need to. He looks at you as if he understands every unspoken word like he’s been waiting just as long.
“I didn’t see you.”
“Hey,” he coos, pulling you just a little closer, his breath warm against your cheek. “It’s my fault, I was scared.”
You smile through the fresh tears gathering and he slants his forehead against yours, brushing one away with his thumb, his face close enough that you could count each freckle if you wanted.
“It’s okay."
“I missed you, so much.”
You hadn’t just missed him—you’d missed the way he made you feel.
Brave. Free. No matter what happened, it would be okay as long as he was by your side. He smiles, a little crooked like because he’s not used to hearing it, he feels like the lucky one here.
“You’ve always been my girl, y’know that? Ain’t nothing gonna change that. Not then, not now, not ever.”
Rafe’s slowly stitching up something inside you didn’t even know was still bleeding. You wonder if he knows that you're still shattered, that you’re not sure how to feel whole again, but you want to try, for him.
The way he talks tells you that he still can see you as the girl he fell in love with and it makes you hopeful that maybe she’s still somewhere inside you, waiting to be found.
Does he feel the same? Does he mean it, all this talk of missing you, of always coming back to you? Or is he just being kind, because he thinks you need to be treated like a wounded animal?
He’s got his own scars, things he’s carried, and he’s been hiding them just as much as you’ve been hiding yours.
You wonder what he’s not saying, if he’s afraid of hoping for too much, like you are. Perhaps he’s holding you like this because he’s still holding on to that invisible string that’s kept you tied to him all this time.
You close your eyes and rest your head against his shoulder, letting yourself breathe him in, feel him under your fingertips.
His lips pucker against your temple, “Don’t overthink, sweetheart. We’ll figure it out.”
But realistically speaking, how long can you run for before the monsters in your nightmares catch up to you?

Hiiii idk if you’re doing requests rn but I just ADORE how you write Izuku and katsuki like omg-
Anyways- my meds are causing me some crazy nightmares lately and I was wondering how they would handle you waking up from a nightmare???
If you don’t take requests then forget this ever happened :’)
Have a nice day byeeeeee!!!
NIGHTMARES you wake up in a start and wake them up in the process
with izuku & katsuki
notes guys i know ive been away for way too long im so sorry!!! :( i'm in the process of moving so it's stressful T-T thanks for the request, anon, hope those nightmares got/get better :( <3
it was so vivid. your mind sunk into an alternate reality that captured all your senses. you felt yourself spiraling deeper and deeper, faster and faster—
your body jolted upright with a breathless yell and a sharp gasp, the world stilling for a mere second...
and then you leaned over your knees, your lungs racing to catch up with your need for oxygen. your chest felt tight and you squeezed your eyes, remembering that your boyfriend was laying peacefully beside you.
you peeked to your side and found him staring right back—wide, bright eyes piercing into your own—sending a shock through your body.
IZUKU
"god, izuku, you scared me—" you sighed, your hand pressing on your stomach as if that would make the uneasy feeling disappear.
"i scared you?" he sat up further, scooching closer to your side. "you scared me, angel. are you okay? you're out of breath, honey. let's do it together, okay?"
you whimpered softly as you tried to follow his guide. izuku could tell you were in distress and it took everything to stop himself from overwhelming you with questions. he just laced his fingers with yours and squeezed.
"good job, honey." izuku praised you ever-so-softly, rubbing your back soothingly. "feeling a bit better?"
you nodded, frowning. "m'sorry for waking you—"
"angel." he whined, letting his eyes do all the talking. "don't do that! please, don't do that." he actually sounded offended.
you looked away from him, your throat hurting from holding back tears. "it's been happening all the time, though, and you need your rest. maybe i should take the guest room?" you were more talking to yourself than anything, but izuku refused to let you entertain such an idea.
izuku's shoulders slumped, the shock fading as drowsiness began to overtake him. he smiled lazily, fighting a yawn. "y/n, even if i knew you would wake me up every night for the rest of time, i'd still choose to be here beside you."
you turned to face him, the horror of your nightmare slowly fading to the back of your mind. "really?"
"really." he confirmed.
you smiled, letting your head rest on your knees as you stared at him lovingly.
the rustle of sheets and whistle of wind reminded the both of you that it was indeed the middle of the night. izuku tugged you closer by your waist, pulling you back onto the bed. he groaned softly, stretching a little before he relaxed against you. "did you wanna talk about it?"
you pursed your lips. curling into his embrace, you immediately felt warmer. "...not right now."
he kissed your forehead. "don't worry, i'll always be right here to protect you from anything your head throws at you. you just tell me and let me at 'em." he kissed you again before wrapping both arms around you.
his steady breathing and soft snores brought a fond smile to your face. you found yourself falling asleep despite the night's events.
KATSUKI
you both stared at each other for a good few seconds before you spoke up.
"sorry for waking you," you mumbled, still having trouble managing your breathing. you turned away from him, pressing your palms into your eyes.
"no," he whispered with a softness reserved for you only. "you didn't wake me."
you stared at him through the darkness and could see him so clearly. "katsuki—"
"shh, it's okay, baby." he gave you a soft smile, once again reassuring you. "come 'ere."
you sniffed as you inched closer. katsuki gently took your arm and pulled you the rest of the way right into his arms. his hand fell to your waist, tracing little shapes and lines as he allowed you time.
"wanna talk about it?" he asked.
you shook your head.
"okay." he squeezed your shoulder, kissing your cheek. he figured you'd tell him when you were ready—the last thing he wanted to do was stress you out even more. it was hard, not to get all the answers on what was bothering was you... it was in his nature to want to make all your problems go away. "what do you need?"
you hand wound around his torso, hugging him back. "um..." you shuddered as you breathed in. "just you."
he smiled against your skin. "yeah? promise you're not holding back on me?"
you giggled. "yes."
"cuz you know i'd do literally anything—"
you sat up slightly, turning to face him with a swat to his chest. your face burned and it was a struggle to recall the images of your nightmare. "katsuki! oh my god."
"what?" he scrunched his nose. his eyes never left you. "it's true."
you returned to your spot between his arm. "just you."
"whatever you say." he pressed his lips to your temple before he got comfy. he sighed. "goodnight, pretty. wake me when those stupid nightmares bug you again, okay?"
your heart fluttered and your smile grew out of your control. "okay."

Masked men x f!reader//18+ (Scenario 2)
TW: 18+, Cnc, somnophila, toy play (vibrators), double penetration, creampie, degradation, name calling (slut, whore), mentions of breeding, minor praise (if you read into it), edging, multiple orgasms.
AN at the bottom!!
FYI:) these are not the same men from the elevator 😉
You were sleeping peacefully, your mind clear, for the most part. You laid on your bed, turning restlessly as you midnight stalked you. As you slowly yet surely drifted to sleep, a visitor decided to make an entry, peeking through your window.
“Yeah, she’s asleep. Out cold.” A man with a ski mask says, dressed in a skin tight black shirt and baggy jeans.
“What are we waiting for, let’s get in and out man.” Another one adds, opening your loose window. Without your knowledge these two men snuck into your room, one of them staring daggers at your sleeping form as it innocently tosses around to an unsourced sound.
“Don’t wake the little princess up, she’s a beauty when she’s sleeping.” The man watching you says, taking off his cheap Halloween mask he bought from Party City. He makes a small dent in your bed, overshadowing your figure, looking at your dolled resting face as his friend sacked through your room for valuables.
“Hah! Look at this. Our little sluts got a few toys.” The man slyly says, turning around to see his friend on top of you, kissing down your half exposed body. All the while you sleep soundly, not aware of anything. “Wanna put these to good use?” The man ask, taking a vibrator out from your “secret” box from under the bed. The man shrugs, pushing up your shirt to expose your naturally perked nipples, immediately taking to sucking them dry.
“Taste so fucking sweet. Her tits taste like pound cake.” The man adds, groaning on your breast, making your face scrunch at the sensation. Meanwhile, the man at the bottom of your bed works to take your panties off. “Someone’s enjoying this- our little slut’s getting wet for us.” He slides his fingers up and down your puffy slit, stopping to massage your sweet clit. He takes his fingers and sucks them clean, feeling a rush from your taste, forgetting all about looting your house. He doesn’t wait, turning on the naughty vibrator, tapping it on your pussy to see if you react.
You wince in your sleep, folding your position to your back as your legs curl then uncurl, trying to be rid the buzzing as it tickles your nerves. “She likes it. I can’t tell if she’s asleep or just faking it~” the man at your breast adds, kissing your face, closing into your ear where he licks it, whispering dirty words as his friend teases your pussy with your vibrator.
As the vibrator hits your clit, feeding a pattern of sexual tension, you stir awake, the first thing you saw was 2 men experimenting with your pussy. “Wha-“ before you could finish your sentence the man closest to you grabs your mouth, the vibrator falling to the ground as the other man comes around to manhandle you to the wall, forcing you off the bed. “Now listen, you scream you’re gonna regret it alright you little bitch?!” The masked man spits out, grabbing another vibrator from your box. Your stomach drops as you realize what they’ve been doing to your body for who knows how long. The man kisses your cheek, moving across your face as his buddy plays with your pussy. “Just a slut aren’t you?! Getting all wet in your sleep, waking up surprised. You were waiting for us!” The man aggressively spit, finding his hand roughly slapping your pussy, the other man still holding your mouth grinding his clear hard clothed cock on your ass. “No point in screaming if you’re not screaming my name baby…making me into a rut with yout slutty ass huh? Putting on a show for me baby? Like showing off?” The man teases, pulling your nipples as you groan, giving muffled pleas as your pussy sobs with slick. A tight slap comes to your ass and pussy as the men degrade you. You look at the man holding your mouth, your eyes lidded with fear, and bubbling desire. “Like what you see? What, my little slut getting horny from getting her little tight pussy destroyed?~” “you gonna cum? Fucking cum then, do it you little whore!” He roars uncovering your mouth only to replace it with his mouth as the masked man attending to your pussy stuffs his fingers inside, keeping the vibrator on your clit.
You muffle a moan as your tongue intertwines with the unmasked man while his friend looks up at you, the rest of his face covered, his eyes being shone through the lusty moonlight. “Cum on my finger baby girl, make my fuckin’ night and cum! Cum!” You roll your eyes back, squirting out your juices on the poor vibrator and the masked man’s fingers. Above, you two break the kiss, ending with you still orgasming as the men laugh, their hands extending your orgasm by torturing your cunt. “That’s my girl! A fucking fountain!” The unmasked man shouts, stuffing his fingers inside you to extract more, making your legs shake from how sensitive you were.
“P-please, no more…to much!” You beg, squinting your eyes shut as they assault your body. “We’ve just began princess!” He says, throwing on the bed, the masked man lifting you up like it’s nothing, sitting you on top of him. “Strip my pants baby…” he whispers, leaning into your ear and nibbling it. “I said STRIP MY FUCKING PANTS!” He booms, his friend across the room, already squeezing out of his clothes, his entire body exposed. You shakily grasped his pants, unbinding his cock from his boxers, watching as it sprinted up, slapping against your wet, twitching cunt, resting against your stomach. Your eyes widen seeing his length. “H-how do you even keep that in your pants?!” You found yourself saying, you look across the room to see his naked friend with the same, if not bigger length than him, stalking towards you with a devious smirk. “It’ll work baby. Just focus on taking our cocks, for now.” He motions to your mouth, slapping his twitching, leaking cock on your lips. You feel your pussy pooling similar slick onto the masked mans’ jeans. “My cock appreciates the compliment sweetheart~” the masked man grumbles out through his deep voice. You focus on the cock that now sits on your lips, kissing his tip as he groans, clearly sensitive. “Go on baby, suck it.” You do as your told, your eyes meeting his as you shive your throat down his length all the while the masked man under you drives his cock teasingly up and down your slick cunt. “Gonna be able to take both of us baby? Gonna be good and scream our fucking names?” You nod, muffling a content ‘yes’. “Good fucking girl…” the masked man grunts, pushing his cock inside your heat, you moan in squeezing pain and pleasure as he sinks inside you, you being busy focusing on the cock that ramming into your mouth.
“Gonna fuck this pretty cunt…ugh, real good honey…” The masked man immediately goes from settling you on his cock balls deep to fucking you balls deep. You moan and shiver under the pounding you were getting from this man, making the other man’s cock twitch inside your mouth, precum coating your tongue, slipping down your face. “G-gonna cum down that pretty little throat! Take a-all my fucking seed!” The man hisses, your pussy growing more wet as his friends cock demolishes your cunt. You suck the man’s cock harder, feeling your eyes roll back and your mind grow dumb. The man thrust into your mouth, your pussy getting plowed faster as the masked man reaches for your tits, his ski mask lifted just enough so he can access your nipples. You moan and close your eyes from being overstimulated, feeling as the man cums down your throat, you hungrily swallow it up, becoming a cock drunken slut. You open your mouth, still bobbing up and down on the grunting masked mans cock. “So good for me~ not a single drop wasted~ good job baby, I should reward you for being a good girl!” The masked man gruffly laughs, eyeing his friend and ultimately stopping, popping out of you. You look behind you, confused and needy.
“Aww don’t worry babygirl, we think you did so good you deserve more than one cock filling up your little body~” the masked man says, whispering in your ears, you flip your head down to your messy, oozing cunt to see the men lined up at both on your holes. Your eyes go wide, waiting for pure extacy to ensue. You grind on the cocks, groaning as you look into their eyes.
“You gotta beg us baby, beg us to plow your holes like no tomorrow, beg us to fuck you until you can’t remember your own name.” The man adds, rubbing his cock down your slit, popping it in and out, hissing at how your walls tried to clench around him.
You look up at him, your eyes teared and drool dripping down your face. “P-please fuck my tight little cunt~ please mark my pussy with your load until I can speak, please fuck me dumb!” You beg, taking the men’s cocks and stroking them while pleading. Both men hiss and slowly thrust into your palm, shaking out of it and laughing, aiming at your holes. “Since you asked so nicely~” the masked man said, lifting you up and settling you done on his cock, his dick entering your tight little asshole slowly. His size making you arch your back, screaming. The other man follows close behind, stuffing himself balls deep inside your juicy, raw cunt. You attempt to scream, the only thing coming out is broken moans as your holes fill, your stomach presenting a small bulge where you can see their cocks. “S-so damn tight!” The men say, thrusting inside you. The pace was rough and spontaneous. Your body jerked around, moans and the smell of sex filled the air quickly. “F-feels t-to good!” You add, rolling your hips, trying to rut them to go faster. They nod, going faster, their balls slapping against you.
“Baby, your getting tight, you gonna cum?! Dirty whore, cumming already?!” The masked man screams out, taking a hold of your waist and one hand moving to your clit, you feel electric sting through your body as he rubs your clit while pouring you harder. “Yes, right there! Right there! Yes- a-a-ah f-fuck!” You moan out, cumming on the men cock. The men laugh, your lewd juices mixing with their pounding, making noises. “Oh fuck, I’m cumming!” The unmasked man that’s taking your pussy announces, you reach for your clit, rubbing it with vigor, desperate for their cum. “Fuck baby, tell me to fill your hole up! Tell me to knock that sweet womb up!” You turn your head back, still in your orgasm, kissing the man revenging your ass. “Fuck me full of cum, fuck me, fuck me, fuck!-“ before you finish your pleas the men grunt in harmony, exploding inside of you. They thrust their hips, fucking the cum deeper before slowing their hips. A slow silence falls on you all, groans and moans filling the room. The men lift you up, switching positions.
“W-wait n-no!-“ before you could protest the men roughly insert themselves back inside you, the masked man on your pussy and the other taking your ass. You shake as they do one hard pound into you, feeling the leftover cum drip down your thigh. “You didn’t think we were done yet did you? I still need a taste of this sweet ass, plant my seed everywhere on your body.” The unmasked man says, chuckling in your ear, nibbling on it as he takes you, thrashing his cock inside your ass. The masked man kisses your pussy, licking up bits of cum and your juices while stroking his cock. “Your sweet little body tired already princess?” The gruffly masked man says, pushing on your puffy clit. You moan, tears flowing down your eyes as they pounce on you. The masked man finally plowing into your pussy, stuffing the fleating cum back inside your womb. “Gotta make sure your nice and full baby.” He gruffs out, grunting as he pounds you dumb. You squirm under them, your mouth singing beautiful moans, kissing the man destroying your ass as he grips your tits, squishing them in his palms. “So fucking good, damn girl, your so fucking good!” He moans out, letting his voice get the best of him as his sensitive cock dives deeper inside your ass, you arch further at the new length both of them reach, the masked man going to your cirvix.
You feel your stomach having the familiar coil from the past lovemaking minutes. “Gonna cum again? Naughty girl, tsk, tsk, tsk.” The man below you bellows as they slow their thrust, stopping. You whine, grinding trying to create friction. “You know what you need to do sweetheart~” The masked man says, rubbing sensually against you, your walls clinging to him.
“Please fuck me, I love your cocks ramming my holes~ I wanna spray your cocks with my cum~, I need your cocks to fill my stupid cunt and asshole up with your milk~ may I please have all of your delicious cum?~” you say, looking into the masked man’s eyes, your eyes glistening as they plead with neediness and pure rut. They laugh, looking at each other before slamming back into you the masked man lifting his ski mask up to suck your lips, you moan and grind as the bubbling feeling of your climax was close. “Fucking cum like a good girl!” You cum on command, exploding your hot squirt over their cocks, splashing your juices around as they pound you through your climax. The man under you groans, feeding you his hot load after 3 long thrust. “Fuck… not gonna-“ the masked man grunts, ramming his cum deep inside your pussy, his heavy load making your stomach full. Fuck…you’re intoxicating…” the masked man whispers as his head bumps against yours, his eyes penetrating into yours. You smile, kissing his lips some more before the man under forces your face into his, kissing his lips as you roll your hips into their cocks. They unload their cocks out of your holes, leaving them to instantly leak cum. You flop onto the center of your bed, the men falling beside you smirking as they rested their heads on their hands, admiring your fucked out body. “What do you say princess?” They ask, surrounding you as you lay between them.
“Thank you~”
And to think they were here to steal from a pretty slut like you.

jade tries to get his pearl PTM to join mountain lovers club, and tries to appear all suave and cool but instead floyd ruins it
"i found these beautiful mushrooms in the forest, would you like to join me, i'll need a hand collecting them for my terrarium"
"yeah maybe after jade will put you in a terrarium, shrimpy"
to get revenge jade helps riddle hide from floyd and these antics continue, until riddle and yuu are found at the same time drinking tea in the heartslaybul garden and the twins make a truce instead of ruining it more
Jade and Floyd do love each other dearly, they're brothers after all, twins at that! And family is the most important thing!
However they also fucking hate each other in a way that only two close siblings could. They can also plan each other's murders in a way that isn't concerning because they are siblings.
But murder is illegal, being annoying isn't though! A skill that both are excellent at.
So Jade is happy to tip Riddle of everytime Floyd is on his way. Though he's not his keeper, he knows his brother like no one else, and almost has a sixth sense of where he is.
“Hey Jade, where's my Goldfishie?” Floyd had a pout as he looked around the classroom. He'd just seen Bluebottle walk out, so he knew that Jade was meeting with him and Shrimpy for his potions project.
“Oh, Riddle left already.” Jade was peacefully cleaning up his notes, tucking loose papers into his folder and closing his notebook. “He was in quite a rush when I mentioned that you'd planned on stopping by.”
Floyd's head snapped over to his brother, eye twitching at Jade's self satisfying smirk.
“...And why'd ya do that?”
Jade cleaned up the rest of the table, tucking his items under his arm. As he towards the door, he passed by his brother, leaning in and giving Floyd a rare, evil grin.
“Payback.”
“Oh, fuck you asshole, that's how you wanna play it huh?” Floyd hissed, jabbing a finger into Jade's chest. “Too can play at that.”
And thus, led to just about a week of the twins sabotaging each other's attempts to get closer to their desired mates.
Jade had been overly 'helpful' with Riddle, tipping him off to an incoming Floyd or coming over to 'talk' with his brother, giving Riddle a moment to escape. He'd even gotten Tony involved, though the little sharkmer wasn't privy as to why Jade had asked him to hang out with Floyd more often.
In Floyd's case, he'd taken time out of his day to interrupt any private moments between you and Jade. Floyd was delighted in talking up a storm with you, slipping in little insults at his brother while at it, much to your confusion. In retaliation to getting others involved in their spat, Floyd decided to bring along Wynfred, which got Jade immensely irked.
It's not until the two are walking within the rose maze, searching for both of their mates, that they finally come to an understanding.
“I haven't seen my Goldfishie all week, and it's your fault!”
“I could say the same to you, every time I manage to get a moment's of peace between us, you come and disrupt the entire thing.”
“That's not the same! You still get to see them, I haven't even managed to take a look at his red hair all week! I'm gonna forget what the color looks like Jade! I'm gonna forget unless I see Goldfishie right now!
“Hmph, I hardly doubt that'll happen. Speaking of, where are our mates?” Jade sighed, peaking around the corner to see a dead end. “They said that the two were having tea in the maze, but I can't even hear their voices.”
Floyd paused, taking a moment to go on his toes and peer over the hedged.
“Hmm...I can't tell, Goldfishie has this rose perfume, but everything around here smells like roses.”
Floyd wrinkled his nose before moving to look at the other hedge, as Jade looked down the other pathway, huffing at the unending paths and walls.
“Oh! I see them!” Jade turned back around to see Floyd halfway over the wall, hissing as he dug his palm into a thorn. “Ow! Geez, stupid flowers.”
Hopping off with a 'hup!', Floyd jogged down the path past Jade, a blissful smile on his face.
“I'm coming Goldfishe~” Jade followed after, snorting at the giggles leaving his brother's mouth.
Jade smiled, despite himself. It was always nice to see his twin happy. He used to make fun of his enamor for Riddle, but after you came around, he's begun to understand why Floyd was the way he was around Riddle.
Floyd stopped, peeking over the corner with a grin, which promptly disappeared. Jade furrowed his brows, speeding over to sneak a look at what made Floyd upset, though it really could be anything.
Though, he had to give Floyd credit, he could see why he was upset.
You sat next to Riddle in a small clearing with a table set, drinking tea and chattering. Based on how Riddle was smiling and laughing, Floyd was probably jealous.
“...not fair.”
Jade looked at Floyd and tilted his head. “Hmm?”
“Is not fair, why does Shrimpy get to make him laugh?” Floyd's frown grew as he pouted. “He never wants to laugh with me!”
Looking back at the pair, Jade felt his chest tighten at the scene. You looked so carefree and bright, like the sun shining through the waves. Floyd was right, it was unfair that you two never shared these sides of you with them.
“You're right, it's quite unfair. Why don't we go and try to get those cute reactions ourselves? I'll make sure Riddle doesn't run off, and you'll do the same with my pearl.”
Floyd grinned, giggling as and offered a hand.
“A truce?”
“A truce.”
The two shook on it emerging from their hiding spot and, rather loudly mind you, announcing:
“Oh Goldfishie~/My Pearl!”
If you were to ask the students of Heartslabyul, they'd say that yours and Riddle's screams of terror could be heard from all over the dorm.

In The Lonely Shadows (2/2) Dean W.
Summary: Crowely's always there to help convince you everything's going to be okay after Dean leaves with Lisa & Ben.
the first part of this was requested by my beloved wife @midnight-moonlight-and-mars sometime back in March.
Request: I've got a Crowley request! It can be platonic or romantic. It takes place the year Sam is resurrected and dean is living with Lisa. The reader was close with the Winchesters but after the fight with Lucifer dean abandoned the reader to be with Lisa and cas never answers ( unrequited love maybe?) so the reader teams up with Crowley and becomes like a bounty hunter for him for Lucifer loyalists.
A/N: It's technically not Crowley x reader since she's pining for Dean. Oops, but I hope you enjoy this all the same, my love.
A/N #2: people were rabid about asking me for a part two. So please, enjoy!
WC: 1.7K
Warnings: mentions of loneliness, and blood, the reader feels abandoned and unloved, crowley’s nice, dean returns. sassy & protective crowley
[READ PART ONE HERE]
Read on Ao3!
--
Dean watched as your chest heaved up and down with every breath you took. The wind was howling outside, with rain pouring down. He was only partially soaked, having run for cover under teh pitiful awning above your hotel door. A suitcase was tucked into one hand and a backpack filled with supplies slung over the shoulder. He'd wanted to say goodbye before he left. But he couldn't. He was a coward, after all. He'd had a few visits from Castiel and Crowley, neither of them saying a word about you.
Though, he asked. He hasn’t spoken a word about Sam, either. The horror of watching Sam fall into the pits of Hell with Adam devastated him. So he ran away. He ran away to the person who would get him away from the hunter’s life, Lisa and Ben. He played pretend for as long as he possibly could.
Until he couldn’t keep up with the facade anymore. All he did was think about you, and the life the pair of you could have had. He’d find himself hovering over your name in his cellphone but never pressing the call button. Oftentimes, he’s stay up late at night, while Lisa laid peacefully next to him sleeping. He knew he couldn’t lie to her forever about what - or who - truly had his heart.
Oftentimes, when he dreamed, it was about you, your face and your hands wrapped tightly in his as you started behind him on hunts. Thats what he loved about you the most, how much you trusted him to protect you.
So months after he departed, he located you in this dingy motel, where rodents and garbage littered the parking lot, and a few street lamps flickered dangerously in this damned storm. He’d gotten a replacement key to your room, claiming to the sketchy old man at the kiosk that he was your husband and you didn’t leave the key outside for him. So, on the threshold of the hotel room is where he stood, his fight or flight response kicking in the moment he laid eyes on you again.
He hadn’t seen you in months, far too long. But not long enough to forget the way your cheeks puffed out while you were embarrassed or the way your hair always fell into your face when you’d laugh at his stupid jokes. He couldn’t forget the way you would shuffle into his warmth at night, either.
God, did he miss the way you infected all of his clothing with your perfumes.
He hesitantly stepped into the room, only to stop midway through in almost a panic. What if you moved on? What if you didn’t want to see him? What if you shot him? He wondered at that moment if you held any protection on you, or if you’d thrown all of it away.
But he took the chance anyway and stepped fully into the room, closing the door behind him quietly. He quietly toed out of his shoes and turned around before fully surveying the room. He couldn’t see any other person’s belongings in the room, so he assumed you were indeed alone.
Nervously, he tiptoed to the bed and studied your face for a long moment. He remembered everything about you-- your eyelashes, the dimple on your cheek. He wanted to reach out to you, nearly stopping himself as he felt his arm move without his command. He brushed his fingers against your cheek before he knew what he was doing and stepped back as your eyes had flung open in terror.
“Y/N,Y/N, it’s me, it’s Dean,” he said, reaching behind him for the pistol he always carried with him, though, he would never attempt to hurt you in any sort of way. “Hey, hey.”
“Dean?” you blinked through the darkness of the room. You must have been sleeping. Because you thought you heard Dean’s voice. And you thought you seen him standing mere inches away from where you slept on the bed.
Before he could get the chance to respond, another voice filled the room, a voice you’d come to recognize and acknowledge throughout these last few months.
“She doesn’t need you, Squirrel. She’s doing great without you.” Crowley’s voice echoed in the small room.
Pulling yourself into a sitting position on the bed, you wiped at your eyes before switching your gaze between the pair in front of you. Crowley had been watching you over the weeks, which you had grown weirdly accustomed to, so it was no surprise that he had appeared out of the blue. What had startle you, was the other man standing mere inches away from you. If you just lifted your arm a few inches, you would be able to clasp your hands together.
“You left her high and dry after Moose had fallen into the depths of Hell, where, mind you, he’s been shacking it up with Lucifer. You should hear the agonies and woes from him.”
You could see the agitated twitch in Dean’s cheekbones, even in the poor excuse of light shining through the cracked window curtains.
“But now, back to the matter at hand, hmm?” Crowley snapped his fingers, and the two-night lamps turned on, casting the room in sudden brightness that none of you was prepared for.
“How’s Lisa and Ben?” Crowley smirked as Dean looked entirely uncomfortable at the jabs. “Didn’t want to be a family man anymore, huh? Did she decide she didn’t want your baggage?”
“It’s none of your business, Crowley,” Dean quipped. He snuck a look towards you and almost melted at the sight of tears in your eyelids. He wanted to erase the heartbreak he had caused you. He wanted to erase the pain away from you.
He only wanted you to forgive him. He wanted you and only you. He wished he hadn’t run off after Sam had gone to Hell, but he was broken and insecure. He was scared that you would leave him as well, so he did the only thing he could think of doing at the time: He ran away.
He begged for Lisa to forgive him, and she did. She took him in immediately, even after he explained all that went down with Lucifer and Adam and Sam. She took care of him. And for a while, he could forget all the pain. He could mourn the loss of his brother in peace. But there had always been a hole in his heart that Lisa nor ben would veer be able to fill.
He hadn’t known it at the time until he had sat up the night before and wallowed in misery after having nothing but dreams and nightmares about you for months.
“No harsh words, Not Moose?” Crowley taunted as he took a step toward you, causing Dean to nearly topple backwards onto the bed you were still sitting on. “No quips? Nothing? What do you have to say for yourself? Because while you were playing house, I was left to pick up the piece of her broken heart! How noble of you. Leave her behind to wallow in misery, and now what? You expect her to swoon because you're back? Pathetic."”
You never thought you would see the day when the king of hell would be red in the face at the Winchesters. But here he was, pointing a threatening finger in Dean’s direction while the other man looked like a kicked puppy.
You wanted Crowley to stop the insults at Dean. But the fact that he was protecting you in this way meant so much to you. You never knew how much Crowley actually cared about you.
"I bet she’s just thrilled to have you back. Nothing says 'I care' like a good old-fashioned abandonment, right?" Crowley scoffed.
“Crowley, enough,” you sighed as you finally pushed the duvet away from your body and stood up, causing Dean to look at you with hope. With your request, Crowley quieted down, though he didn’t cease the glare or scowl on his features. Ignoring him, you took a breath, taking Dean’s height in stride. “So, what? You show up at my doorstep and nearly scare me to death, for what?”
“I was wrong,” Dean swallowed, blinking slowly as tears piled against his eyelids. “I never should have left you the way i had. You were mourning Sam as well, and I was a coward for leaving you. I never once stopped thinking about you. I never once let you out of my mind. Lisa knew it, Ben knew it.’
“I’m not forgiving you, Dean.” you held your ground, even as you had to wipe the tears away from your cheeks. “How could I forgive you? Do you know what the hell I’ve been through? You weren’t the only one to lose a brother, you know? Sam was my family as well.”
He opened his mouth, only for you to cut him off.
“It’s been fourteen months, Dean—fourteen long, terrible months. I celebrated Sam’s birthday without you. I celebrated your birthday without you. Crowley was the only one to check with me. Do you know he saved me from death on numerous occasions? That could have been you.”
He looked utterly defeated at the mention of the birthday celebrations. He could only imagine you singing to yourself with some cheap cake and a gas station lighter, wishing for the family you once held as you blew out the candles.
“Dean, I don’t know whether to hit you, kiss you, or put a bullet in you.” you scowled, pushing past him to walk over to the bathroom to wash your face. Leaving the door open, you heard Dean shuffle around Crowley to get to you again.
“I can’t leave you, not again. Never again,” he watched your reflection as you grabbed for a hand towel and wiped the water from your face.
Glaring at him momentarily, you sighed heavily before turning around and leaning against the counter. “Crowley will kill me for this. But I can’t help but think that I’m still in love with you. We can talk more about this in the morning. I had a long few weeks, and I’m absolutely exhausted.”
Eagerly, Dean followed you out of the bathroom, barely noticing Crowley’s absence as he tucked you into the bed before he climbed in himself.

Love | Lee Haechan ☀︎ . ݁ ˖
summary: Haechan holds you close, as you’ve been having trouble sleeping with so much on your mind lately, yet there is love seen and felt in the silence of being in his arms.
Genre: Fluff | Word Count: 515
The bedroom ceiling fan spins on medium speed, with a temperature cool enough to hide underneath the covers and warm enough to be able to stay comfortable without overheating.
You lay on your side watching the stars behind your eyes as you walk the trail of thoughts that are too loud.
Suddenly you feel a dip in the mattress behind you as Haechan crawls into bed, slipping underneath the blankets and wrapping his cold arm around your body as your back is facing him.
He pulls you closer and begins to whisper the sweetest words to you, peppering small kisses on your neck in between them. He moves your damp hair behind your ear, the smell of fresh mint toothpaste and your favorite body wash from him causes you to smile, making you forget all of your worries as his scent calms you as always.
He brings the same hand down your body, softly caressing your thigh and gliding it back up to massage your arm, relaxing your tense shoulders.
You melt into his touch.
His body warmth, the warmth of his words, his heart, everything about him always tends to make you feel the safest you’ve ever felt, reminding you of home and fulfilling that empty space in your heart that no one can take up except for him. You simply wouldn’t allow it.
Your previous thoughts long gone, feeling like memories of old drifting away from the once crowded trail into a quiet place.
He whispers your name, guiding you to turn around and lay on his chest. Your mind focuses on nothing but his touch as it makes way to your scalp, his fingertips gliding through your hair. He kisses your forehead and the spot leaves a tingle that eases your heart.
You listen to his heartbeat as he brings you even closer and holds you safely in his arms.
Haechan understands that sometimes you don’t want to talk about what is on your mind, so this is how he lets you know that he is always open to listening if you ever want him to walk that path with you.
Your breathing is calm and steady, and with a final deep breath, you slowly feel yourself drift into a long and peaceful sleep into a world of dreams.
But it isn’t until you wake up the next morning when you realize it was never a journey you walked by yourself, because even with the smallest of gestures like those of last night, he was with you and you were never alone. It was only when it was quiet could you see that he was there all along.
And with this, your eyes flutter open to feel a different heaviness on your chest than days past.
It is the head of the man with the softest and fluffiest hair that sleeps peacefully to the sound of your heart.
And as the morning sun seeps through your curtains into your dim bedroom, you look to the star in your own darkness that shines right in front of your eyes as you walk the trail of thoughts that have now replaced themselves with words of love.
Author’s Note: Hii! I actually created this story along the way, (which means I surprised myself.) It was late and 100% unintentional, but I trusted myself, and it almost feels like I was being told the story while writing it! Even now, whenever I come back to it, it feels like I’m reading it for the first time.
I hope you enjoyed! Feedback is deeply appreciated, with love @hisunflower ❀
