GOOD MORNING NESS!! <3 i hope you have a good dayy :) the brown and green additions to the blog are so cute omg😋 it looks super cute!
i have picture day in a couple hours im literally tweaking out.. it's probably gonna be fine tho but THEY ALWAYS MAKE ME LOOK LIKE AN EGG TOO like they'll tell me "okay push back your hair a bit, brush your bangs to the side..." girl the bangs are the only thing keeping me from looking like a helipad NO NO NO GET AWAY 🤺 so yeah im here in my bedroom stressing about what to do w my hair and what to wear as i lay in bed, actively avoiding doing anything ☺️
ALSO AFTER YOU SAID A BIT ABOUT THAT PLAY I HONESTLY WANTED TO HEAR MORE?? like you accidentally BIT your phone and cut your finger? 😨 what else happened during that play??😭 AND ALSO kinda gave me flashbacks to being a theater kid when i was in elementary bc i would always do plays and musicals EVEN OUTSIDE OF SCHOOL i was a little nerd LMAOAOA but those plays were soooo much fun and in one of them i even got to wear a big poofy dress that was such a vibe... (no it wasn't i was so overstimulated after a while BUT THE DRESS WAS CUTE) i should go back to theater (no i shouldn't)
ANYWAY I HOPE YOUR SCHOOL DAY GOES WELL AND YOUR WORK (if you have it today, idk 💔)!! HOPEFULLY WE CAN TALK MORE LATER TODAY! MAKE SURE YOU EAT AND DRINK WATER AND DONT FORGET TO TAKE YOUR MEDS‼️
THANK YOU SO MUCH SAV!!! I MAY LIKE TAKE A SCREENSHOT OF IT TO MAKE IT LIKE A DIVIDER IMAGE YK </33 bc it looks perfect at least on my phone screeen and i think it's cute on my computer screen too!! but ik it's not like completely centered and everything if that makes sense 😭
NOT THE HELIPAD 💀💀 I HOPE YOUR PICTURE DAY WENT WELL LOVE!! LMK HOW IT WENT!! i remember there was one time my picture was so bad I COULD NOT HANDLE IT like literally could not tolerate it it was that bad i actually went in for like picture retakes bc usually like i don't care that much BUT THAT ONE WAS SO BAD 💀
AND OMG YES LET ME TELL YOU THE STORY so i've talked about this play a lot on here i think!! it was the one where my director got really mad and yelled at people backstage and the asm back there put his headset mic down so we could be nosy and listen in LMAO (while we were all hiding in the booth and then got jumpscared when his bald whiny head appeared outside the window) etc. it was that show!!! so also what happened was that bc i'm a little catwalk monkey lights kid freak i was always up there or asked to go up there to help with things!! and sometimes i have to do not osha safe things like climb on the batons!! (allow me to find a picture for reference)
OKAY I ALMOST COULDN'T FIND A PIC BUT THEN I FOUND EXACTLY WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR (i'm going to guess my school is just especially unsafe LMAO like when our theatre was constructed it was NOT done right we have so many violations and like not all of our channels work...some of them are double channeled...etc SORRY THIS IS ME RANTING DW ABOUT FOLLOWING ALONG)
OKAY SO ANYWAY IF U SEE HOW LIKE THESE "BATONS" ARE JUST THESE METAL RODS LITERALLY JUST SECURED BY CHAINS??? WE HAD A BUNCH OF THESE ON OUR CATWALKS (so not all of them had these curtains on them!!) and sometimes we'd have to hang lights on ones that were far out (like not easily accesible) so what i would have to do is climb over the railing of our catwalks and step onto these little tiny poles and basically sit on two of them (yes there was a lot of space between these batons. that's why it was not safe and not a job we trusted a lot of people to do. yes my director forced me to try and wear a harness my last year of hs [after an entire year of not wearing a harness doing this stuff] and no he did not succeed or actually care that much [so i basically never wore a harness risking my life LMAO]) BUT ANYWAY so basically during this show i needed to go out onto these batons to hang a light!! but i was just thinking about where i wanted to put the light and everything and i needed to hold my phone!! so instead of putting it in my pockets or on the floor like a normal person i held it in my mouth!! which i had done multiple times but apparently this time i bit it a bit too hard and so the screen broke and would no longer register touch!! a wonderful time honestly!!! and so then i had go back to my super ancient phone bc i didn't feel like trying to get the screen fixed and didn't even know if it was worth it but that phone was always on its last life and started giving out this summer so then i finally got it repaired yay!!! (AND ALSO FOR REFERENCE old phones were built different yk. like my old phone, the show right after this play where i bit and broke this other phone yk, i accidentally dropped this old phone from the catwalks bc my hands were really shaky one day and it SURVIVED LMAO)
tw for blood ofc!! so about my finger!! so also during this show!! in the catwalks we hung up a little curtain that reached like halfway to the ground or so so that we could project cute little patterns onto the curtain (this was a horror show btw. very cutesy. very demure.) but after we did the show, i was sent up there to take the curtain down, well that curtain had been a BEAST to hang in the first place like it had taken i think two separate groups over the course of two weeks to get that thing secure so like there was wire wrapped around one of the catwalk bars a thousand times PLUS there was tape all around all that wire so i'm like tearing through this all trying to get the wire undone but then it cut me!! :( so my thumb started bleeding and so one of my kids kept a blood covered wire (my blood ofc) as a souvenir and i left my bloody thumbprint on that bar :)) and then i think we literally just put like spike tape around my cut it was a crazy day but that happens often!! i remember moving a bed once and then i was like "EW WHY IS THE BED WET" but it was actually bc my finger!! was once again bleeding 😭 I HAVE TONS OF CRAZY STORIES ASK ME ANYTIME ABOUT THEM!!
AND I HOPE YOU HAVE A LOVELY DAY SAV!! MAKE SURE YOU TAKE YOUR MEDS AND EAT PROPERLY AND DRINK ENOUGH WATER ILYSM!!!! TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF OR I'LL HAVE TO POP OUT OF YOUR SCREEN AND DO IT FOR YOU!!

25 Days of BeChloe Christmases 2022
Day 16 - Christmas Choices
Summary (HS AU): Chloe Beale is the new girl at Barden High. The 2 most popular guys in school both have eyes for her and vie for her attention. Beca Mitchell sees what's happening and teases Chloe about it. So, who ends up as Chloe's date for the Christmas Formal?
It was the first day of school at Barden High. Chloe Beale walked through the doors and went toward the office. She was bumped and jostled as students and faculty hurried to wherever they needed to be.
Chloe entered the office with a sigh.
"Can I help you?" a frazzled-looking older woman asked from behind the computer.
"Um, yeah," Chloe said. "I'm new here, and I need my schedule and locker information."
"Name?"
"Uh, Chloe Beale."
The woman sat and started typing something into the computer.
Chloe looked around as she stood waiting. She noticed a guy smiling at her and gave him a small smile in acknowledgment.
"He's a douche," a small brunette said as she joined Chloe at the counter.
"What?"
"Good morning, Mrs. Abernathy," the girl said. "I need an early dismissal for today."
"Good morning, Beca," the woman said. "Wait your turn. I'm helping Miss Beale, and I'll get to you when I'm done with her."
Beca looked at Chloe and smirked. "New girl, huh? So, what's your story?"
"My story?" Chloe asked.
"Yeah, your story," Beca said. "You're starting Senior Year in a new school, of course, there's a story. So, what's yours?"
"How do you know I'm a Senior?" Chloe asked.
"It's a gift," Beca said, shrugging.
"Miss Beale," Mrs. Abernathy said. "Here is your class schedule and your locker information. I'll get someone to-." She stopped and looked at Beca. "Beca, you wouldn't mind showing Miss Beale to her first class, would you? Maybe give her a little tour to help her find her way around?"
Beca looked at Chloe and smirked. "Sure, I'd be happy to play school tour guide for Miss Beale."
"It's Chloe," Chloe said. "And, thank you."
"I still need that early dismissal note, Mrs. Abernathy," Beca said. "I need to leave after fifth period."
Mrs. Abernathy pulled out the dismissal notices and began filling one out.
"Let me see your schedule," Beca said to Chloe.
Chloe handed it to Beca, and Beca looked at it.
"We have the same morning classes," Beca said. "And lunch. I can show you where your classes are until I have to leave."
"Here you are, Beca," Mrs. Abernathy said. "And here are late passes for you both. Miss Beale should go to her locker before class."
"Thank you, Mrs. Abernathy," Beca and Chloe said just as a bell rang.
"That's just the warning bell," Beca said as she and Chloe left the office. "It signifies that you have five minutes to get to class. Come on, your locker is this way."
~~ 25 Days of BeChloe Christmases 2022 ~~
Beca and Chloe had the same classes up to lunch.
"You can sit with my friends and me if you want," Beca said as they entered the cafeteria. "We're not the cool kids, but we aren't the outcasts either. I think you'll like everyone."
"I'd like to sit with you," Chloe said.
Beca led Chloe over to a table.
"Hey, Beca," a tall busty brunette said. "Hi, Chloe, right? You were in my second period class."
"That's right," Chloe said, recognizing the girl.
"Hey, guys," Beca said. "This is Chloe Beale. She just started today." Beca and Chloe sat down, and Beca introduced everyone, pointing out each person as she did. "That's Stacie, and that's CR, Amy, Jessica, Ashley, Benji, Emily, and Jesse."
"It's nice to meet you all," Chloe said, looking around the table.
After lunch, Chloe walked with Beca, Benji, and Stacie to their fifth period class.
"Hey, Stacie, what class do you have after this?" Beca asked.
"Um, History with Mr. Donovan," Stacie said, looking at her schedule.
"Would you mind showing Chloe to class?" Beca asked. "I'm leaving after this period."
"Sure," Stacie said as they all took seats.
"Could I get your phone number?" Chloe whispered to Beca.
"Um, sure," Beca said, pulling out her phone.
Chloe took the phone and put her contact info in.
"Can I text you tonight?"
"Okay, class, settle down," Miss Lancaster said.
"Sure," Beca whispered.
~~ 25 Days of BeChloe Christmases 2022 ~~
After class, Beca left to go to her appointment; Chloe went with Stacie to their next class.
"Hey, babe," a blond called out as she ran up to Stacie.
Stacie gave the girl a quick peck on the lips.
"Brey, this is Chloe, she's new," Stacie said, smiling at the girl. "Chloe, this is my girlfriend, Aubrey Posen."
"It's nice to meet you," Chloe said.
"You, too," Aubrey replied.
Class began, and the three sat together. Chloe enjoyed getting to know Stacie and Aubrey. She learned a bit more about them and about Beca and her friends.
Aubrey and Chloe had music for the last period of the day, and they walked to class together.
"Do you sing?" Aubrey asked.
"Yeah," Chloe said. "I was in the chorus in my old school."
"You'll have to join our chorus," Aubrey said excitedly. "That's where most of us met and became friends."
"Oh, that's nice," Chloe said. "Do I have to audition to be in the chorus?"
"Yes," Aubrey said. "Mr. Shoemaker is both the music teacher and the chorus director. We can ask him if you can audition for him in class."
"What should I sing?" Chloe asked as they entered the music room.
"Whatever you want," Aubrey said. "Mr. Shoemaker?"
"Yes, Miss Posen," Mr. Shoemaker said.
"This is Chloe Beale," Aubrey said. "She just started Barden today. And she sings and wants to try out for the chorus. Can she sing now?"
"Let me get the class settled, and then we'll do it," Mr. Shoemaker said. "Alright, class, settle down and take a seat."
The class did as instructed.
Aubrey waved Jesse over to her, saying, "Bring your guitar.'
Jesse did as requested and stood in front of Aubrey and Chloe.
"What's up?" Jesse asked.
"Chloe's going to audition for the chorus," Aubrey said. "Could you accompany her on your guitar?"
"What song will you be singing?"
"Um, do you know Landslide by Fleetwood Mac?"
"I sure do," Jesse said, smiling as he sat on a chair and readied his guitar.
Mr. Shoemaker stood next to Chloe in front of the class.
"Everyone, this is Chloe Beale, and she'd like to audition for the chorus," Mr. Shoemaker said. "Chloe, start whenever you're ready."
"Thank you," Chloe said and nodded to Jesse.
Jesse started playing, and Chloe began to sing. Several people were nodding in approval as she sang. Aubrey was all smiles.
When Chloe finished, the class applauded and cheered.
"I'd usually ask the members of the chorus to weigh in before accepting anyone new," Mr. Shoemaker told Chloe with a smile. "But I think it's clear you're in."
Chloe squealed, and Aubrey ran over to hug her.
"We are going to have so much fun," Aubrey said.
~~ 25 Days of BeChloe Christmases 2022 ~~
Chloe was all smiles as she got off the school bus. The first thing she did was text her mother to let her know she was home. Her mother texted back that she had to work late, so Chloe was on her own for dinner.
Chloe chewed her lip and then smiled as she sent a new text.
Chloe: Hey, you busy?
BMitchell: No, what's up?
Chloe: Do you know of a good place near the Barden Gardens apartments where I can get something to eat on the cheap?
BMitchell: Come to apt. 327, and you can eat for free.
Chloe gasped. "Beca lives in my building?"
Chloe ran out of her apartment and up one flight to the third floor. She found 327 and knocked.
"What took you so long, Beale?" Beca said, answering the door. "Come on in."
Beca stepped aside and allowed Chloe to enter.
"I didn't know we lived in the same building," Chloe said. "We're in apartment 212." Chloe squealed and took Beca's hands in hers. "Do you know what this means?"
"Um, that you're going to be annoying me all the time?"
"No, silly," Chloe said. "It means we can ride the bus together to school every day."
"Um, no can do," Beca said, sitting on the sofa. "I don't take the bus."
"You don't?" Chloe said sadly. "Why not?"
"Because I have a car and drive to school," Beca said.
"Oh," Chloe said, sitting in the chair across from Beca.
Beca looked at her and smiled. Chloe was pouting and looking at her with puppy dog eyes.
"Okay," Beca said. "I know what that look means, and you can ride with me as long as you don't annoy me too much during the ride."
Chloe squealed again and rushed over to hug Beca. After a few seconds, Chloe released Beca and sat next to her.
"Come help me make dinner," Beca said. "I'm making baked chicken and roasted potatoes."
"I'd love to help," Chloe said, following Beca into the kitchen.
~~ 25 Days of BeChloe Christmases 2022 ~~
September made way to October, and according to Chloe, she and Beca were best friends. Chloe spent as much time at Beca's as she did at her own place, especially after Beca's mother gave her an open invitation to have dinner with them anytime.
It was almost Halloween, and Chloe was insisting that Beca has to wear a costume to school.
"Why?"
"Because everyone else is planning to," Chloe said.
"If everyone else jumped off a cliff, are you going to do that, too?" Beca asked, then shook her head and grimaced. "Eww, that was something my dad would say. And sadly, I'll never be able to unsay it."
Chloe bit her lip to keep from laughing at the face Beca was making while talking about her dad. Her face became serious as she looked at Beca.
"Do you ever see him?" Chloe asked.
"Who? My dad?" Beca asked. At Chloe's nod, she said, "No. And I don't want to."
"I miss my dad," Chloe said. "I mean, I know he cheated on my mom, and the divorce was totes his fault, but he was always a good dad to me."
October and November faded away, and it was now December. Christmas was two weeks away, and Barden High was gearing up for the Winter Concert and Christmas Formal being held on back-to-back nights the week before Christmas.
"My mom asked to invite you and your mom to our place for Christmas Eve," Beca told Chloe as she drove to school one morning. "We usually have a nice dinner with a few friends."
"Oh, that would be nice," Chloe said. "I'll mention it to my mom."
"Okay," Beca said. "Just let me know."
Beca smiled when Chloe began singing along with the radio. It was an everyday occurrence, and Chloe had a good voice, so Beca didn't mind.
"Hey, Beca," Chloe said midsong. "Would you mind taking me to the Winter concert and back home? My mom won't be able to make it because that's the same night as her office party."
"Are you sure you don't want to ask one of your boyfriends to take you?" Beca asked, chuckling.
"I don't have a boyfriend," Chloe said.
"Not yet," Beca said. "But Tom and Chicago are trying way too hard for the honor. I think there's even a pool going around about which one will win you over and when."
"Really?" Chloe asked. "Who wins if I don't choose either one of them?"
"I don't know," Beca said as they parked in the school's lot. "I guess everyone figures since they are the two most popular guys in school, one of them will win you over."
"Chloe!" Chicago called out, seeing her getting out of Beca's car.
"Here's bachelor number one," Beca snickered.
"Shut up," Chloe said just as Chicago reached her.
"Hey, can I walk you to class?"
"Sure, Chicago," Chloe said.
Chicago smiled, and Beca half expected him to cheer. The two walked off, and Beca trailed behind them, unsure of why Chloe kept looking back at her.
Later at lunch, their friends were teasing Chloe about Chicago.
"If you wait another day to be his girlfriend, I could win a hundred bucks," Fat Amy said.
"Hey, Chloe," Tom said, pushing Beca to the side so he could sit next to Chloe. "I was wondering if you'd like to go to the movies with me this Saturday."
"No, thanks, Tom," Chloe said. "I have other plans."
"With who?" Tom asked. "Walp? He's a loser. I am so much better than him."
"No, it's not Chicago," Chloe said.
Chloe looked over her shoulder to see Beca leaving the cafeteria. She stood, picked up her books, and turned to leave as well. Tom stopped her.
"What time should I pick you up?"
"No means no, Tom," Chloe said and stormed off.
"She'll come around," Tom said smugly. "They always do."
The next day, Beca was all smiles as she walked into the cafeteria with Chloe. They joined their friends at their usual table and sat down.
"What put you into such a good mood, Beca?" Stacie asked.
"I got asked to the Christmas Formal," Beca said.
"By who?" Aubrey asked.
"Did you finally get tired of Jesse asking you out every five minutes and throw him a bone?" Ashley asked.
"It wasn't me," Jesse said, frowning.
"So, who was it?" Jessica asked.
"It was me," Chloe said, smiling at Beca.
"Oh, my god," CR squealed. "Please let me tell Tom and Chicago. I want to see those smug smiles wiped off their faces when they find out Chloe picked Beca."
"Go for it," Chloe said. "Consider it an early Christmas present."
Everyone laughed as CR jumped up and went in search of Tom and/or Chicago.
"I didn't know you were such a bad girl," Beca whispered to Chloe.
"You ain't seen nothing yet," Chloe whispered before kissing Beca.

Random Questions -
So yeah! since I am not busy at work today. I would like to write something in here, but whenever I started penning, I've got nothing on my mind. So, I decided to just answer some random questions I found in google.. Hoping that few years from now, when I get to look back on this blog post, i will still have the same answers. lol
1. If you could vacation anywhere in the world, where would it be? - Well I have a lot of places in my mind, but realistic wise I would choose Georgia, because that is one my dream destination, I would like to experience their spring season. I'm so desperately craving for some vacation with my husband. 2. What is your go-to board game? - It's actually not a board game, it's a card game called in-between. This game is very memorable for me because I used to play it with my cousins and whenever we do, there's an endless laughter and it's super fun. We get to bond and play at the same time. I feel very emotional, because we aren't the same as before. Time fuckinly passed so fast that we're all grown ups now and have our own personal lives to live and so we don't get to bond as before.
3. What are two things still on your bucket list? - To visit Jerusalem, because as a christian, ofcours our goal is to atleast visit Jesus' grave and where he was born. I know it will be very epic! Russell and I have been planning to visit Israel soon! another one will be Petra in Jordan. What sports did you play growing up? - I don't do any sports growing up hahaha, not sporty here.. But I remember playing volley ball in HS as taga pulot ng bola. Do you currently live in the same place where you were born? - No, I was borin in PH and I am currently living and working in Dubai, UAE. Where is your favorite place in the world? - Cliche but my fave place in the world is anywhere na andon yung husband ko hahaha.. I'm a husband girl so kahit san sya andon ako and that's my favorite place. If you are cooking for only yourself - what is your favorite dish to make? - egg. Whenever I cook myself for my self it will be 2 omellette eggs and 1 sunny side up plus half bottle of banana ketchup. What are two things you never leave the house without? - Phone. In dubai it's my transpo card, my wallet, my data, my everything. HAHAHA Which snacks are your must-haves for a road trip? - I don't usually eat during roadtrips but I must have some caffein, Iced Caramel macchiatto or Spanish Latte or any Iced coffee lol. What is your most valuable possession? - I don't have any haha. I a cheap girl. chariz. Do you often remember your dreams? - Yes! Idk but I always remember my dreams. Sometimes I also dream in my dreams lol haha. When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up? - When I was a child, I want to be a Computer Engr. HAHAHA I thought that was cool back then. But growing up during entrance exam for college, I was told that I can choose any course but IT and Comp.Engr. funny. What does your ideal day look like? - I want to stay home and someday just take care of my own little fam.
This post is from my drafts from 2023

Survey #498
“i wrote the gospel on giving up”
What do the home phone numbers start with in your area? 2. Would you come to Australia if you had the opportunity? If I could meet my friend Shay, yes. Otherwise, it honestly scares me. Too much dangerous shit. You want a career, or happy with just a job? I'm never going to be happy without being at least on the path towards a career. I do not want "just a job." Do you think anyone on the outside of a situation has the right to judge? Sometimes yes, sometimes no. It really depends. Do you wax your eyebrows? Not anymore. If I wanted to buy you a chocolate bar, what kind should I NOT get? Nothing with nuts. What was the last song you heard, that made you feel emotional? "The Unforgiven II" by Metallica, I think. When was the last time you took a selfie? It's been months. Has anyone ever walked out of your life with no explanation? Yes, my former best friend Hannia. Do you know anyone else with the same first name as you? Yes, but it's spelled differently. Name an alcoholic beverage that you dislike. Wine. Can you recall the last time you were on a dance floor? Hell, probably not since prom. The video game I've played the most is... If computer games count, Worl of Warcraft. It has a mechanic where you can type /played, and it will show you just how long you've done so overall. IIII will ont tell you my time, lmao. If we're talking truly video games, that would be Shadow of the Colossus. It's a short game that is just so chill and comforting to me, so it's easy to play. Which do you prefer for exercising, gym or outdoors? Gym. A friend I have the most fun with is... Sara. What's scarier, clowns or spiders? I have zero fear of clowns, so that only leaves spiers. Are you listening to anything right now? "NIHIL" by 3TEETH. Is there a quote you live by? Not really. Are you popular on any sites (ie. youtube, xanga, etc.)? No. Ever dreamt of someone you know in your life (but not in a personal level)? Yep. When is the next time you need to go to the doctor’s/dentist’s? I have a follow-up appointment in January with my primary physician because we're keeping tabs on my weight progress. I go every 2-3 months. Has anyone ever rejected a friend request from you on FB? That, or they just stopped coming online. How did that feel? I wasn't surprised. This was years after I grew out of being a homophobic piece of trash, and she unfriended me because of that disgusting belief. When I actually grew up, I came to really miss her and reached out, but she never replied. What are some sites you visit daily? Without fail: YouTube, KM, dA, and Wowhead just for my daily visit points, lol. When/where did you meet your first love? The hallway of my high school, sophomore year. Who was the last person to cry in front of you? Mom. Do you know why they were crying? Saying the Thanksgiving prayer reminded her of the Thanksgiving before when she visited family in New York and her mom was alive, but very sick. If you’ve had a bad day, who is most likely to cheer you up? Girt. Are you living with anyone that isn’t related to you? No. How many people would you say you’ve been “in love” with? Two. Girt's getting there. Which one of your relatives are you most likely to argue/disagree with? I'm not sure; honestly, my beliefs contrast a lot of my family's. Have your parents met the person you’re currently interested in? Yes. We've hung out together since high school. Who was your first major crush? "Major," Sebastian. I met him my freshman year of HS in Art class. Do you still talk to that person? He's on my Facebook, but no. Were you well-behaved as a child? Yes. What is/was your worst subject in school? Math. Is that because you’re not good at it, or because it doesn’t interest you? Both. Are you embarrassed to talk to your parents about sex? I would NEVER talk about it with my dad, and I don't even want to at all with my mom. Or anyone. Do you call anyone baby? No. I'll call my boyfriend "babe" sometimes, but "baby" just feels weird to me. Do you have to sleep with a television on? No; I don't even have one in my room. I don't like sleeping with one on. Think back to the last person you kissed, how many times have you cried in front of them? I actually think only once, and even then, I wasn't like, sobbing. He visited me in the hospital after my OD and I was just so... done with everything that I could barely cry, even if I wanted to. It was very light. What do you want right this second? To not be so goddamn exhausted. If you were offered to smoke some weed right now would you accept? No; I don't smoke. Do you like it when people call you babe? I actually don't mind it anymore? I mean, so long as it's my s/o. I don't want random people calling me that. Are you afraid of roller coasters? YES. Who was the last person you fell asleep with? Sara. Girt and I haven't shared a bed yet, but I've nearly fallen asleep on him on the couch, but I don't let myself. My sleep apnea makes me nervous. Have you ever fallen asleep in school? Not in class, no. In college, in-between classes, I sometimes would briefly and lightly. Are you taller than most people your age? No. If you caught your significant other cheating on you what would you do? Leave them immediately. No chance for an excuse, no "sorry"s, no nothing. My mind isn't being changed. What kind of car does your most recent ex drive? She doesn't have her own car. Have you ever dated someone you met online? Yep. Do you know anyone who has multiple personality disorder? Not knowingly. Are you more comfortable with men or women? Women. Men naturally scare me. Last person to call you beautiful to your face? Girt. Can you count to 20 in another language? Almost. I can't for the life of me remember what "12" is in German. Do you know anyone with a missing toe or finger? No. Where’s the last place you took a bus to? Jason's house all the way back in high school. We would ride home together a lot. Do you like peanuts? Not plain. Who was the last person you hugged? Girt. Which store would you go to, to buy a pair of jeans? Realistically, Wal-Mart, but I don't wear jeans. Pop bottles or pop cans? Cans. They keep the drink colder. Have you ever known someone online and then met them in person? If so, which website did you meet on? Yes; YouTube. Do you have a calendar in your room? I have outdated meerkat ones for decor. What color is your wallet? Red, white, and black. It's a Harley Quinn design. Don’t you hate it when people suddenly love a celebrity when they die? This is an awful question. Death is sad, and nobody likes to see a public figure that was loved by many pass on. Who was the last male you talked to? Does he have facial hair? Girt. He has a very little bit on his chin sometimes. Have you ever dressed up as a Disney character? Which one? Maybe at some point as a child for Halloween, but I don't think so. Have you ever played chess? If so, are you good at it? Well, yes, but I had NO fucking clue what I was doing. Girt likes chess quite a bit, and we played it once on an app on his phone. He tried explaining everything, but absolutely none of it made sense to me. In one ear, out the other. It is so hard for information to stick these days. Why did you last feel like crying? I did cry some yesterday. I was having a really, really hard time with my self-worth regarding Girt. I didn't - and still don't, really - feel like I deserve/am good enough for him with me just going nowhere and doing nothing while he's the opposite. I was starting to question again if I was better off single until I get my shit together, even though I love him, just because I didn't want to hurt us both in the end. He really helped me feel better though, as he always does. Talking to him helped a lot, and I'm very thankful we got to hang out yesterday, too. It reminded me that even though I have work to do, having him as a cheerleader and more for me is ultimately helping me. Does the sight of blood make you feel sick? Nah. Do your initials spell a legitimate word? If so, what? No. Do you like Kings of Leon? No. I hate his voice. If someone admitted cheating in a past relationship of theirs, would you trust them? Not as a romantic partner, no. Did you ever want to be a cook as a kid? No. How about a fashion designer? No. Do you wish that magic was real? Some sorts, sure. Others could be destructive in the wrong hands, though. Do you own a cheese grater? Uhhhh I think? Do you prefer sitting in the front or back of a car? Front, if I can control the music. Are you offended easily by non-politically correct language? No, unless the term is truly derogatory. Do you feel hungry, thirsty, sleepy or none of the above? I am ridiculously tired because I stayed up all night two nights ago and then barely got ANY sleep last night. I am the polar opposite of hungry and/or thirsty; I drank too much liquid in too short a period of time, plus the two pizza slices I had for dinner were too large, so I am incredibly bloated and uncomfortable. Have you ever taken a martial art? Which one{s}? No. Do you know anyone who is scared of you? No. Do you like watermelon? No, it's just too watery. Like, I'll eat it, but I won't love it. However, watermelon-FLAVORED stuff is one of my favorites. Can you remember the month of your first kiss? Yes: March. What do you think is the most interesting thing about you? Uhhhhh. I don't really know. What was your favourite cartoon as a child? Pokemon. What was your biggest fear as a child? My mom dying. Which stereotype do you dislike the most? Those that are offensive to certain groups of people, like races, sexualities, genders, etc. Can you remember all your past teachers names? No. What’s your favourite thing about your country? Our amount of freedom. What’s your least favourite thing about your country? In my opinion, we're probably the most arrogant country. What TV show scared you as a kid? Courage the Cowardly Dog was capable of that sometimes.

in your dreams + lee seokmin
your lifetime best friend visits you in a less than pg dream.
wc.7413 | fluff, mentions of sex, potty mouths across the board, hs/friends to lovers au, fem reader
i finally am posting a fic about one of my ults haha! this is also a recycled/reworked fic from my old blog so if you've read something similar to this before no you haven't <3
Mornings were never your strong suit. You always hit snooze as many times as possible, rushed to get your uniform on and fix your hair, then ran out the door with a piece of toast. You knew you’d feel less tired if you just woke up at a decent time, had a proper meal, and got ready like a real human being, but staying in bed felt so much better for those few luxurious moments. There was no stopping your bed bug habits, especially after being accepted into university. Suddenly, getting to school on time was the last thing on your mind when you were swimming under your covers.
You always knew you would make it when you caught up to Seokmin. He lived a block up from you, and he always turned up for class exactly three minutes early. If you saw him, you knew you’d be okay.
Today, he was much further ahead of you than he normally was. So, you sprinted past his house, earbuds in and chewing on your breakfast that you hadn't even managed to toast, hoping you would see his familiar form when you turned the corner a couple blocks down.
Sure enough, as you skidded around the corner, you spotted him at the end of the street. You let out a groan, already winded, before shoving the rest of your bread in your mouth and running towards him. You flew past him and pulled out the earbuds when you were a few yards ahead, bent over with your hands on your knees, trying to catch your breath. He laughed as he caught up to you.
“You’re later than usual.”
You wiped your nose on the back of your hand. “Really? I hadn't noticed.” You fell into stride next to him, still breathing heavily while you straightened out your skirt. “I swear if we're running in gym today, I’m going to fake a migraine.”
He watched you pull your ponytail tighter. “Did you run the entire way?”
When you nodded, he got a plastic water bottle out of his bag and handed it to you. “Oh, god, you’re the best,” you said, drinking from it. “Water tastes so good.”
Seokmin laughed as you chugged, shoving his hands in his pockets. “That means you're dehydrated.”
“I’ll buy you another bottle when we get there,” you said after you drained the one he gave you. “Thanks.”
“You should’ve tried for the track team this year,” he said teasingly, nudging you with his elbow.
You laughed. “I’d only do well if you’re at the finish line, yelling at me that I’ll be late.”
“I would have done it, but you better break some school records if I’m doing that much work.”
You liked Seokmin. Your mothers were good friends, forcing the two of you to play together while they talked when you were barely potty trained. Lucky for them, you got along well, and lucky for you, you ended up in the same class all the way through elementary school. You had been worried when you entered high school that he would grow out of having “girl friends,” as many of the guys did, but he never stopped hanging out with you. He continued to walk home with you, at least as far as his house. He still helped you with your homework, even when he was just as confused about the mathematics problem. He kept the promise he made you when you were little tots.
“Seokminnie,” you had said, tiny hands covered in markings from your colored pens. “Can we be best friends forever?”
He had given you the biggest smile his six-year-old face could manage. “Yes! Best friends forever.”
You walked into the classroom and put the bottle of water you had just purchased on Seokmin’s desk, letting out a “thanks again” as you passed. He saluted you as you walked to your seat, then went back to his conversation with his friends. You could hear them teasing him as you put your bag down.
As the two of you grew older, you gained more friends of the same sex. It didn’t stop you from calling Seokmin your best friend, but it seemed natural to have a different group to hang out with at school, one you could go to the bathroom and fawn over boys with. However, whenever the two of you interracted within eyeshot of any of them, they seemed to insinuate that the two of you should be something more than friends.
“You know who’s handsome?” Haseul said once. “Seokmin.”
Sooyoung giggled. “Watch out, somebody already has dibs.”
You rolled your eyes. “Stop it. We’ve been friends since diapers.”
“How romantic,” Haseul swooned. “Childhood friends turned lovers!”
You threw your pencil at her, and she laughed as she deflected it. "Guys and girls can be friends, you know!"
From what you could tell, Seokmin’s friends did the same to him, teasing him endlessly about his girlfriend, even though you had spent plenty of time with them by proxy.
“You look like hell,” Sooyoung said as you sat down in your usual seat behind hers. “Late again?”
You laughed, tucking a loose hair behind your ear. “Thanks. Yeah, I had to run to catch up today.”
“Thank god for your oppa, huh?”
“Ugh, don’t call him that,” you said, covering a yawn.
“Ah,” Haseul exhaled to your right, straightening out her notebook. “Is ‘jagiya’ better, then?”
You hit her shoulder and she yelped, making Sooyoung laugh. They started talking about something else and you stole a peek over to Seokmin’s desk. He had his face buried in a hand, being prodded by his friends. His eyes opened and he noticed you. You sneakily pointed a finger gun under your chin and he stifled a laugh, which set off his friends again when they realized he was looking in your direction. You would have to apologize later for triggering his torment
When classes ended, you found Seokmin waiting for you by the school gate. Sooyoung cooed at the two of you from a distance, making you roll your eyes as you straightened the straps of your bookbag.
“They’re relentless,” you said.
Seokmin groaned, throwing his head back in agreement. “Has it been especially bad recently for you, too?”
“It's springtime,” you laughed. “They want to watch a pretty romance blossom with the flowers.”
“Someone should tell them to stop watching so many dramas.”
You ended up at his house, reading a webcomic on your phone while he played a computer game. Afternoons were often spent like this. You were sprawled out on his bed, mindlessly crunching on a bag of chips, when he suddenly let out an expletive and dropped the controller on his desk.
You looked up, then read out the red text that was splattered across the dark screen. “You died.”
He spun in his chair. “Yeah.” He pulled the chair towards you and stole the bag, shoving a handful of Fritos into his mouth. “Whatcha reading?”
You looked at your phone. “Slice of life romance. It’s cute, I like the art style.”
He nodded, chewing slowly. He was obviously thinking of something else, even as he was staring at you, but you didn’t blame him for having other things on his mind.
When you looked up at him again, he suddenly dropped the bag by your side and turned back to his computer, scooting his chair as he did. You tucked your hand into the bag of chips and went back to your comic. You ended up going home for dinner, messaging Seokmin when you made it back to your house.
You found yourself in his room again that night, this time the details warped. You spent so much time with Seokmin, it wasn't uncommon for him to appear in your dreams, but this context was entirely new for you.
He crowded you, filling your personal space, his fingertips tracing lace patterns on your bare shoulders. A hand found its way to the back of your neck, tipping your head to let him place delicate kisses on your lips that left you breathless. Every time his mouth found yours, a shock of electricity ran down your spine, the tingling settling in your core. He caressed you, held you, laid you out on his bed. Your understanding of the situation was blurred by the dreamscape, but you liked it. In this reality, you liked him. And you liked what he was doing to you. You even liked it when his thumbs grazed over the peaks of your bare breasts, when he sucked bruises onto your neck, when you felt the pressure of his erection filling you.
He muttered your name into your lips. “I love you.
Your legs were wrapped around him, hands desperately pulling him close. You gasped. “God, I love you, too.”
You woke up suddenly, sitting up in bed with your heart pounding. It took you a moment to recognize the sound of your alarm clock, and you hurriedly shut it off. You were sweating. You kicked off your covers and swung your legs over the edge of your bed, staring down at your hands.
Was that a wet dream?
You felt your already hot face turn red. Not only was it a wet dream, but it was about Seokmin. An involuntary shiver ran up your body, remembering the torturous detail that your imagination had held you hostage for.
Unsure of what to do with yourself, you rushed to the bathroom to splash cold water on your face. The feeling of his hands ghosted up your torso, and you stomped your feet slightly in an attempt to ward off the strange sensation.
It was just a dream, you told yourself. But... it had felt so real.
With nothing else to occupy yourself with, you got ready for school. You spent a long time staring at yourself in the mirror, fixing and re-fixing your half up-do. You couldn’t remember the last time you had this much time to get ready. The time felt empty, somehow. Your mother saw that you were awake and excitedly fried an egg to put over rice for you. The metal spoon lingered in your mouth as you stared into space.
“I love you,” he had said. His voice had been low, gravelly, a tone you had never heard before. You shuddered.
“Are you okay?”
You snapped to attention, looking up to your mother. “What?”
She pouted. “You look feverish.”
“Ah,” you felt your cheek. It was hot. “I’m fine.”
“Be careful of hay fever,” she said, clearing her own place at the table. “Your father has bad seasonal allergies, too.”
As you left the house, you realized that you would have to walk right past Seokmin’s. Panic stricken, you wondered if you should start walking faster to make it past and avoid him, or if he had already left. You checked the time on your phone, realizing that he would probably be leaving soon.
Your legs moved as fast as they could without running. If you made it past his house before he left, you wouldn’t have to face him until you had more time to process. But, as you were about to pass, the front door opened.
“Ah!” Seokmin waved to you. “You’re early.”
Externally, you smiled and waved. Internally, you collapsed into yourself.
“Your hair looks nice,” he said, patting your head. “Did you actually wake up properly today?”
You nodded, trying not to wince at his touch. “For the first time ever, I didn’t want to go back to sleep when my alarm went off.”
“Wow,” he laughed as you walked beside him. “I’m impressed.”
You had never seen Seokmin as anything but a brother. Your best friend. Someone you had been close with since childhood. Now, you looked over to him and couldn’t help but see his naked body hovering over yours. Your heart raced as you stared at your feet, all while he told you about the complex lore of the game he had been playing the day before.
It was unbearable.
Your friends would be no help. You knew better than to confide in them - they had already been so convinced that the two of you should hook up, if you said anything that hinted at some subconscious attraction you might have towards Seokmin, they would never let you live it down. You spent the entire day avoiding him, thinking that if you allowed yourself time to forget the dream, things would go back to normal. But when you saw him with his friends by the school gate at the end of the day, your stomach flipped in your gut and you felt your pulse quicken. You thought about walking past them, blending in with Sooyoung and Haseul, hoping he would be distracted with their conversation, but you had no such luck.
“Hey!” Seokmin waved you over. “The guys wanted to get some food, you in?”
“Uh,” you looked over to your friends for help. They stared back at you.
Mingyu spoke up. “You two are welcome, too, obviously.”
“Sure,” Sooyoung said. “It’s Friday, why not.”
Haseul nodded, and you were dragged along with them to a small restaurant a few blocks down. This had happened a few times before, where the two of your friend groups went out together. The six of you crowded around a table, everyone hungrily picking at the side dishes while you waited for the stew to boil in the center of the table. After getting a consensus from the table, Mingyu got the attention of a waitress.
“Unnie! Could we please get some ramen noodles, also?”
“And more kimchi,” Seokmin muttered, shoving a scoop of rice in his mouth.
“And more kimchi,” Mingyu repeated. “Thank you!”
Sooyoung laughed. “You guys sure like to eat well.”
“We’re growing boys,” Seokmin said.
The dried noodles got added to the stew, and you took it upon yourself to break it up as it boiled, mixing it in with the army stew. Mingyu was the first to steal some of the cooked noodles, slurping them down and grabbing bits of meat from the stew as he chewed.
“Oh, it tastes really good,” he said, leaning back. “It never tastes this good when it’s just us guys.”
Haseul laughed as she took a spoonful of the broth. “It can sense your fear.”
“Hey,” Seokmin nudged you with his elbow, sticking a folded bit of meat and kimchi in your face with his chopsticks. “Eat up.”
This was a normal gesture, you tried to remind yourself. This was something he did all the time when you went out to eat. You always distracted yourself so much with cooking the food, you hardly ate anything, and Seokmin always made sure you enjoyed the meal with everyone else. But the action felt strangely intimate today, and your leg bobbed nervously as you chewed. It reminded you of the electricity you had felt when he touched you.
In your dream, you reminded yourself. When he touched you in your dream.
“The three of us will split the bill,” Minghao said when all the food had all been devoured.
“Eh?” Sooyoung looked at you, then back to the boy across from her. “We can pay for ourselves.”
“No no no,” Seokmin insisted. “We’ve already discussed it. We invited you three out, so we’re paying.”
“Wow, what gentlemen,” Haseul giggled. “Thanks for the food!”
You and Sooyoung repeated the thanks, the boys saying that it was no big deal. The three pooled their money to cover check, then met you girls outside the restaurant.
“I should study for that quiz on Monday,” you said when the conversation started to die down.
“Ugh, you’re no fun,” Mingyu groaned. “I don’t want to think about school all weekend.”
Haseul laughed. “Good luck failing, then.”
You threw up a peace sign, backing up towards the road that led to your neighborhood. “Thanks for the food, guys!”
“Seokmin-ah,” Minghao nodded to him. “You coming over?”
Seokmin shook his head and started to follow you. “I should get help studying while I can. Tomorrow?”
You waved to your friends as they headed in the direction of their own homes. Seokmin fell into step beside you as you trotted down the steep alley that was a shortcut towards your street. His hands stuffed in his pockets, as usual. You tucked your thumbs under the straps of your book bag, examining your feet as you walked.
“I love you,” he had said. For some reason, the dreamy sound of his voice wouldn’t get out of your head. The words rattled in your skull; you could almost feel a headache coming on in response to it. The two of you walked in near-silence the entire way.
“Do you wanna come in?” He asked as you approached his house.
You distracted your fingers with the hem of your shirt. “Ah, maybe not today.”
“Eh?” He punched your shoulder. “Why not? I wanna play Mario Kart.”
You laughed shortly, hoping he wasn’t noticing your blush. “I was serious about studying, Seokmin.”
“Well, come on, then.” He tugged on your arm, pulling you towards the front door. “We can study and then play Mario Kart.”
Unable to find a worthy excuse, you let him pull you through the front door. You slipped off your shoes, greeting his mom and waving to his sister, both of whom were practically family for you, but the interaction felt stilted in your current state. The two of you escaped to Seokmin’s room, where he dropped his bag on the floor and pulled a folding table out of his closet. Trying to not act as awkward as you felt, you busied yourself by messaging your mother on kakao to let her know you would be at the Lee household for a while. You thought about sitting on his bed, but you were hit with a sudden flashback of being pushed down onto it. You picked at your nails instead.
Seokmin quickly set up the short table in the middle of the room, then situated himself at one of the sides, pulling his bag closer to get his school things out. You hesitated before you sat across from him, back to his bed, tucking your legs under you and flattening your skirt.
“You’re acting weird,” he said suddenly.
You looked at him, wide eyed. “What do you mean?”
“It’s been all day, but don’t know how to describe it,” he said, leaning back on his hands and furrowing his brow at you. “It’s weird. You’re acting… timid.”
You tried to laugh it off, but it sounded unconvincing even to yourself. “You’re crazy.”
He laughed at you. “You know it, too. You’re acting weird but you’re trying so hard not to.”
You groaned, putting your forehead on the table. “Leave me alone.”
“So... are you gonna tell me why?”
You adjusted onto your chin, eyeing him. “I said leave me alone.”
“C’mon, aren’t we supposed to be best friends?” He reached over and poked your forehead. “Tell me what’s up.”
You exhaled while you got up onto your elbows, rubbing your face. “I don’t know. I don’t really want to talk about it with you.”
Seokmin’s eyebrows furrowed again. “Is it really that serious? Are you okay?”
You laughed, despite how incredibly nervous you felt. “It’s nothing serious, I promise. It’s stupid, really.”
“Now I’m worried,” he whined.
“How about that quiz, huh?” You said, pulling notebooks out of your book bag. He whined at you again, but complied and retrieved his own study supplies. He allowed an hour to pass before he brought it up again.
“Do you have a crush on someone?”
Your pencil clattered on the table when you fumbled with it. “What? No! What the hell?”
He squinted at you. “Is it Minghao?”
“Min, seriously,” you rubbed your face again. “I don’t have a crush.”
“You’re lying.”
You laughed incredulously. “I’m not!”
He studied you a moment. “You have a tell,” he said finally. “I’ve always known when you’re lying.”
You were sure the color washed from your face. Always? Surely that couldn’t be true. Besides, you really weren’t lying this time. “Seokmin. I don’t have a crush.”
“Liar,” he said after a beat. “You were being weird when we went out for food. Minghao?”
“No,” you said, suddenly nervous.
He squinted at you. “Mingyu?”
You rolled your eyes. This was insane. “No.”
He paused. “Haseul?”
You laughed. “You think I’m gay, now?”
“Well, who else?” He asked, exasperated. “Me?”
“No way.”
He stared at you a moment, clockwork moving behind his eyes. “Oh my God.”
You frowned. “What?”
“You have a crush on me.”
“You’re crazy.”
He pointed at you. “You chewed on the inside of your cheek. That’s your tell. You did it just now.”
You stared at him, your tongue running to the side of your mouth. He was right. The inside of your cheek was raw from the nervous habit. You stuttered. “Min, I swear, it’s not a crush, but I really don’t want to talk about this with you.”
“How long?” He asked, slouched over the table, watching you closely.
“Listen to what I’m saying, idiot.” You pointed at your lips for good measure as you enunciated each syllable. “It’s. Not. A. Crush.”
He exhaled and leaned back on his hands. “Then what is it? I’m not gonna stop until you tell me.”
You whined, dropping your head onto the table. “God, this is a nightmare.”
He poked at your head. “Tell me.” You whined in response. “Tell me!”
“Fine!” You said, sitting up and slapping away his hand. “I’ll tell you. But you better not tell another soul, Seokmin. Swear on your life.”
He crossed his heart. “I swear.”
You sighed deeply, leaning back, avoiding eye contact. “I had a dream last night.”
Seokmin watched you. “Wow, I got chills.”
You threw your pencil at him. “Shut up, I’m getting to it.” You exhaled again. “I had a dream about you last night, and it was… confusing.”
“Confusing how?”
You looked over at him. “Confusing… like, I don't know how I feel about it. It was… charged. Sexually.”
He stared at you blankly for a second. “Wait-”
You groaned and collapsed onto the floor, already regretting saying anything. “This is a nightmare.”
“Wait wait wait,” Seokmin’s hand hit the table. “You had-”
“This sucks!”
“-A sex dream-”
“Shut up!”
“About me?”
You groaned. “This is why I didn't want to talk about this.”
He picked up your pencil off the floor, laughing. “Wet dreams happen. Why do you feel so weird about it?”
“What,” you said, straightening out your shirt as you sat up. “You wouldn’t feel weird if you had a sex dream about me?”
“Well, I mean,” he paused, fiddling with the pencil. "I have. Had them about you, I mean."
You stared at him, cheeks burning. “What?”
He laughed, looking down. “I’m a guy,” he said, nervously folding the corner of his notebook. “And you’re pretty. I can’t control my subconscious.”
“Pretty,” you repeated.
“Yeah, I mean, obviously.” He shrugged. “That’s not a secret, or anything.”
“Right.” You nodded slowly, “So you’ve dreamt about… us.”
“Not on purpose,” he said, fussing with his notebook still. “But, yeah.”
“I guess that makes sense,” you said sheepishly. “We spend a lot of time together.”
He nodded, pointedly tapping the table with your pencil’s eraser. “Yeah, that probably has a lot to do with it. Was this the first time for you?”
“With you, yeah.” You pouted. "I know I've had them before, but I never really remember them like this."
Seokmin chuckled. “Well, I’m flattered.”
There was a pause between you two, but it wasn’t as uncomfortable as you expected it to be.
“So,” you swallowed. “Are yours just fucking, or…”
“More than that?”
You nodded, staring at your hands.
“It depends,” he laughed nervously. “Sometimes they freak me out a little bit, actually.”
You chewed on your lip. “This one freaked me out.”
He shifted, obviously wanting to ask about it, but not knowing how. You took the hint.
“It was really… intimate,” you said quietly. “Like,” you paused, studying the wall. You put your hands up, palms together. “Like, looking-deep-in-your-eyes intimate.”
He stared at you. You cleared your throat nervously.
“You said you loved me.”
He exhaled. “Damn.”
“And I said it back.”
“Like…” he trailed off, gesturing.
You nodded. “During.”
“Wow,” he flipped the pencil around his thumb. “That’s a lot more than just fucking.”
“No kidding.”
“So,” he started after a long pause, then cleared his throat. “That’s why you've been acting weird?”
You groaned. “Yeah, it’s all I’ve been thinking about all day.”
He stifled a laugh. “It was that good, huh?”
“Shut up,” you giggled, despite how embarrassed his implication made you feel. “I don't know. Every time I see you now, I see that dream in my head. It's awkward.”
“Does that mean…” he paused, tapping your pencil again, his eyes wandering around his room. “You’re imagining me naked?”
“Ugh!” Your hands covered your face. “Well, now I am, you asshole!”
He laughed. “For what it’s worth, I have to pretend that I’m not imagining you naked way more often than I’d like to admit.”
Your fingers slid down your face, uncovering your eyes so you could stare at him. “Are you serious?”
“Yeah, I mean,” he dropped the pencil on the table. “Like, yesterday. When you were reading that comic on your phone?”
You nodded slowly, flattening your skirt against your thighs.
“It reminded me of this dream I had once, where you showed me a hentai and wanted to act it out with me.”
Your jaw dropped. “What the fuck?”
He laughed. “Listen, I don’t come up with this stuff on purpose.”
“How long ago was that dream?”
Seokmin thought a moment. “A few weeks ago?”
You eyed him. “How often do these dreams happen?”
He shifted. “I… I don’t know.”
“You’re lying, but I’ll let it go,” you said, sitting back and leaning against his bed.
He laughed. “Thanks.”
You watched him a moment as he stared at his fingers, fiddling with your pencil again. You suddenly remembered the way his lips had felt against yours. You had never really paid much attention to them before, but when you examined them now, you realized how full they were. They formed a sweet heart, you thought, and you wondered if they felt as velvety as they looked. You spent too long staring at his lips, you had to stop yourself from biting your own.
Seokmin exhaled and held out your pencil. “Back to studying, I guess?”
You blinked. “Right. Yeah.”
His brow raised while you took the pencil from him. “What was that?”
“What was what?”
He laughed. “You were looking at me really weird.”
You examined your pencil. “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
“Seriously.” He cocked his head at you, a smile teasing his lips.
“Stop that,” you muttered, pouting. “I don’t like that I’m noticing you like that.”
“Like what?”
“Like,” you scoffed for a second, unable to believe yourself. “Like not my brother. Or best friend. I’ve been noticing you. As a man. All day. It’s weird and I can’t stop it.”
“As a man?”
You looked up. Seokmin’s brows were furrowed, but his expression was still gentle. You felt your heart quicken. You screwed your eyes shut. “I’m going to do something. I want you to be totally honest about it after it happens, okay?”
“O-okay?”
Before you could change your mind, you steadied yourself as you leaned over the table, planting your lips on his.
And you stopped. And he stopped. And you felt electricity run down your spine.
Then time started again, and you pulled away slightly, your eyes opening to find him staring at you.
“I-I’m sorry,” you stuttered. “Was that-”
His hand reached up to you, pulling you back into him with a gentle grip on the back of your neck. This time, his lips moved against yours. You immediately settled into him, goosebumps forming on your arms when you felt his tongue brush against yours. When the pace slowed, he let out a hot breath, and you rested your forehead against his.
He laughed. “Holy shit.”
A giggle escaped your lips. “Yeah.”
“I,” he laughed again. “I’m not gonna lie to you. I have a raging boner.”
You couldn’t stop yourself from looking down, immediately noticing the tent in his pants. You sputtered out a laugh. “Oh my god, Min. You’re such a romantic.”
“Listen!” His hand moved from your nape to your jaw. “That was… A lot. I didn’t realize that kissing you would be like that.”
You smiled gently. You’d never seen his eyes this close before. “Me neither.”
“Like,” he paused. “Is it always like that? Or are we just… insanely compatible?”
You giggled. “I’ve never had a kiss that felt that good.”
“One second,” he said, adjusting himself quickly and standing. He stepped around the table and put out a hand to help you to your feet. “Can we continue?”
You giggled as you stood, straightening your skirt with your free hand. “Yeah, I think I want to.”
He placed his hands on your waist hesitantly. The touch was new. Different, but not unpleasant. You settled your arms on his shoulders, and he dipped down to kiss you again. It was exploratory, almost nervous, but you both settled into a rhythm quickly. You found your hand burying itself in the hair above his nape, and he pulled your hips into him. You gasped slightly, surprised by the unfamiliar feeling of his clothed hard on against your pelvis.
“Too much?” He asked breathlessly, pulling away.
You shook your head and pulled him back onto your lips, immediately deepening the kiss. After a few beats, your teeth tugged on his lip and he groaned, fingers gripping you desperately. His heavy eyelids opened, and you stared at him, trying to catch your breath. “We should… stop.
He nodded. “Probably, yeah.”
“This is…” You watched his lips. “This is your first time kissing a girl, right?”
He nodded.
“And it would be, you know…” Your fingers were still buried in his hair. “The first time doing that for both of us.”
He nodded.
“So…” You bit your lip. “We should stop.”
He nodded.
But neither of you really wanted to stop. Despite all logic pointing towards it, you really had a hard time justifying it to yourself when you were here, with him, and everything felt so good.
So you didn’t stop. Not yet.
You slowed the pace, both of you aware that you were no longer participating in a sprint, but rather a marathon. He was gentle with you, his hands following the curve of your waist as he discovered your weak points - the small of your back, your lower lip, and the skin between your ear and jaw. You couldn't stop thinking about how you just couldn't believe he had never kissed a girl before, considering how easily he was making you melt in his hands.
And when a curious hand found its way to your ass, playfully pulling up your skirt to grip you better, you nearly fell apart. You desperately wanted to do something, despite knowing that you probably shouldn't, and you fought with the notion for a long moment, all while Seokmin made a very compelling case for you to strip down right that second.
You needed to think logically. Seokmin was your very best friend and you didn’t want to ruin that, but you were a bit beyond that at this point. You had only admitted attraction, not even feelings. You weren’t even close to dating, you thought. You always wanted your first time to be with someone you had been seeing for a while, someone you really cared for and really cared for you. Someone special. But the more you considered it, you realized Seokmin might be the perfect candidate; he was the person you were closest to, and you shared an emotional intimacy that you couldn’t even imagine with anyone else, so even that argument seemed null.
It didn’t take much for you to work up the courage. He pulled your hips into him again, and you let your hands drift downward, finding their way to the (impressive) bulge in the front of his pants. He made a noise - a mix between a yelp and a groan - before grabbing your shoulders and pushing you away slightly.
Your already rosy pink cheeks went bright red. “Bad?”
“I-” Seokmin stuttered. “I thought-”
“I just,” you paused, looking down. You tried not to stare at his crotch. “We don’t have to do anything major but… I want to touch you.”
He let out a strangled laugh. “What happened to ‘we should stop’?”
You bit at your lip, pushing him lightly until he sat on the edge of the bed, sinking to your knees in front of him. “Do you want to stop?”
He stared at you, seeming to consider everything for the first time, suddenly awake to what you were suggesting. “Not really, no.”
“Then,” you looked down. “Let me touch you.”
-
The next day, you were on his bed. You were laying next to each other, listening to music, when you suddenly propped yourself up on an elbow to look at him. He raised an eyebrow at you.
“Can I help you?”
You laughed. “Yes.”
He smiled, placing a hand on your nape to pull you down to him, resulting in a long, slow kiss. That same electricity ran down your spine.
“Uh oh.”
He laughed lightly. “Why uh oh?”
You examined his face for a moment. “I think I might actually have a crush on you.”
“I told you you were lying yesterday.”
You laughed and hit him. The music stopped suddenly, his phone ringing from where it was plugged in across the room. Seokmin groaned.
“Can you get that?”
“You’re closer than me, asshole.”
He groaned again, rolling off his bed and onto the floor, crawling his way to his desk. He pulled it off its cord and answered. “Hey.”
You watched as he stood, making a noise of recognition. His hand hit his forehead.
“Ah, I forgot. Do you wanna come over here instead? I don’t wanna leave the house.”
As Seokmin walked back towards the bed, you could hear Minghao’s annoyed voice through the phone. “-been waiting all afternoon. Mingyu’s here already, you know? And you’re gonna make us come to you?”
“Ah, well,” he said, flopping back onto the bed and putting his phone on speaker. “Y/N’s over here, so. Are you gonna make her walk all the way to your house? Are you even allowed to have girls over?”
You laughed at Minghao’s stutter as he repeated your name. “Hey, am I on speaker? That’s rude, you know.”
“Hi, Hao,” you said, giggling. “You and Mingyu should come over, the four of us can play Mario Kart!”
“See!” Seokmin said. “Listen to your elders, Myungho.”
“We're the same age, don't call yourself my elder.”
“See you soon?”
He sighed into the phone. You stifled a snort. “Fine, we’ll come to you. Be there in twenty.”
You laughed at the dial tone that signified Minghao hung up without letting Seokmin say bye. He had a look of betrayal on his face before he dropped the phone and rolled onto his side, facing you. You raised a brow. He contorted his face to wink at you dramatically, making you laugh, and him follow suit.
“Yah,” he rolled over again, rubbing his face. “I can’t believe this is actually happening.”
You poked his side and he swatted at your hand. “What do you mean?”
“To be totally honest?” Seokmin inspected the ceiling. “I’ve liked you for a really long time.”
Your mouth opened involuntarily. “Really?”
He nodded. “I woke up this morning thinking for sure that I dreamt yesterday. I’ve thought about confessing to you so many times, but you never seemed interested in me that way. I didn’t want to make our friendship awkward.”
“Well,” you said, picking at your nails. “I’m interested in you now, so…”
Seokmin laughed, tucking a hand under his head. “Good thing, I was getting worried I wouldn’t be able to keep it in much longer. You keep getting prettier every day.”
You coasted on that high, laying on your stomach and smiling at your phone, for the time it took your friends to make their way to you. You heard the door opening downstairs and Seokmin’s mother’s voice as she told them to go ahead up.
Seokmin rolled off the bed. “I should move. They might suspect something if we’re laying in bed together.”
You nodded at him, looking back at your phone and mindlessly playing a puzzle game as he settled, seated on the floor with his back against the bed. There was an unspoken agreement that the two of you should keep whatever relationship developed a secret, at least for now. The two of you didn’t even know what this was yet, it’d be stupid to let others in on it, too.
When Minghao and Mingyu practically kicked open Seokmin’s bedroom door, you jumped at the noise and stared at them wide eyed.
“Yah!” Seokmin yelled. “Be careful! The hell is wrong with you?”
Minghao looked like he was trying to be intimidating, pursing his lips to stop himself laughing while he tried to be serious. “You lazy assholes made us walk all the way over here.”
You looked from him to Mingyu, who looked back at you, his face reading like a hostage. You burst into laughter, rolling onto your side.
“Don’t laugh!” Minghao pointed at you, a smile breaking through his facade. “I’m serious. This jerk agreed to come over to my house, yet we somehow ended up here! Because you’re here! Why?”
Seokmin was staring at him, mouth open and squinting. “In my defense, I forgot.”
“I wanted to hang out,” you said sweetly, sitting up and leaning against the wall. “I’m sorry.”
“He’s always choosing you over us,” Minghao pouted, crossing his arms as Mingyu snuck around him to sit on the bed next to you. “What’s up with that?”
“Well, first of all,” Seokmin said. “She’s way cooler than both of you.”
You laughed and said “thanks,” while both Mingyu and Minghao whined in unison.
“Secondly, I’ve known her for literally a decade longer than I’ve known you guys.”
“Whatever,” Minghao said, pulling his phone out of his jeans’ pocket and sitting on the floor. “You’re weirdly confident today. Did you finally get laid?”
You almost snapped your neck with how quickly you looked up at him. Mingyu snorted, laughing at the idea, but both you and Seokmin were frozen, staring at Minghao, who’s forehead creased when he saw the looks on both of your faces. Realization dawned on him and Mingyu almost simultaneously.
“Holy fuck, you two-”
“I have to pee,” Seokmin announced loudly, standing so suddenly that he toppled slightly before walking past Minghao and exiting the room. You stared after him incredulously, ears bright red, silently cursing the scaredy-cat bitch for abandoning you.
Mingyu cleared his throat. “So.”
“Nope,” you said. “This isn’t happening. We’re not talking about this.”
Minghao pointed at you. “So it’s true!”
You shook your head and rubbed your face. “That idiot really just walked out of the room.”
Mingyu laughed his big loud laugh, making you chuckle into your hands as you continued to cover your face.
“I’m so pissed. I can’t believe he actually just walked out.”
“I can’t believe you fucked him,” Minghao said.
Your hands fell off your face. “I didn’t! We didn’t fuck!”
He pointed at the door. “Then what the hell was that?”
“That was an idiot.”
He pouted a moment. “That’s not fair. I can’t argue with that.”
When the door opened again, you threw a pillow at Seokmin. “You jerk!”
He caught the pillow and stared at you. “What?”
The other boys stifled laughter as you fumed. “You abandoned me, you asshole!”
“I had to pee!”
“Nice cover, dick.” You crossed your arms. “I’m mad at you.”
“Don’t be mad at me!” He pointed at Minghao. “Be mad at him!”
Mingyu whined. “Mommy and Daddy are fighting...”
You smacked him in the arm with the back of your hand, and he jumped, rubbing the spot you hit.
Minghao laughed and leaned back on his hands. “You’re a real dumbass.”
“Shut up,” he grumbled, hugging the pillow while he sat down across the room. “I didn’t know what to do.”
You scoffed. “Clearly.”
“So... are you guys done talking about it?”
You threw your phone at him, and he deflected it with the pillow.
“Hey! That could have actually hurt me!”
“Yet it didn’t,” you said, trying to grab Mingyu’s phone out of his hand to throw that, too, but he held it out of your reach and pushed you away. “We didn’t talk about anything, and we’re not gonna talk about anything.” You pointed a look at Minghao. “Right?”
“Right,” he said, sighing. “Whatever. I’ll corner Seokmin later.”
You continued to fume from your curled position on the bed, pouting and glaring at Seokmin. He stared back at you, eyes wide and lips slightly curved downwards. He mouthed an I’m sorry, but you just kept glaring.
“So,” Mingyu said, scratching his head. “Mario Kart?”
Hours passed, and you slowly let out your anger one shell at a time, Seokmin crying out and begging you to stop every time you hit him. At the end of a Grand Prix, you announced that you needed to pee.
“Have fun,” you said to Seokmin, then stood up to go to the restroom. He stared at you, wishing for mercy, as you closed the bedroom door. You giggled to yourself as you walked down the stairs.
You purposefully took your time, using the restroom downstairs, washing your hands extra well, looking at photos in the hall, peeking into the kitchen and chatting with Seokmin’s mother. When you finally returned, Seokmin looked shellshocked and both Mingyu and Minghao looked up at you.
“Did you enjoy yourself?”
Minghao nodded. “He’s easier to crack than you are.”
That was the moment where you thought, oh, this may have been a mistake. You gulped, looking at Seokmin. “What did you say?”
“Nothing,” he said, but it came out as almost a whisper. He cleared his throat. “Nothing, I swear.”
You looked at Mingyu, and he shook his head with a frown to tell you he was lying. “Seokmin, what the fuck?”
“You abandoned me!”
“That doesn’t mean you can tell them everything!”
“I didn’t tell them everything…”
“Oh,” Minghao said, “So you guys did do more than that.”
You stared at him. “Seokmin, what the fuck!”
“I’m sorry!” He put his hands together and getting on his knees to plead with you. “I’m sorry! I’m weak! You know this!”
“You’re a fucking traitor,” you said, shaking your head as you sat down. He practically put his head in your lap while he bowed to you, muttering apologies. “I’m never sucking your dick again.”
His head shot up while both of the other boys burst into laughter. Seokmin let out a weak “really?”, which made them laugh even harder.
You almost snorted at the look on his face, shoving on his shoulder while the boys were distracted laughing. “Stop digging your own grave, idiot. What did you even tell them?”
He sat up, lower lip sticking out as he stared at you, clearly searching for a sign that you weren’t absolutely pissed at him anymore. "Just that you, y'know," he muttered, aimlessly gesturing. "Taught me how to make you feel good."
"You got pretty good, too," you giggled. You leaned over, planting a quick kiss on his lips.
“Wait, no, come back,” he said, pulling at you with a hand on the back of your neck. You laughed while Mingyu made a gagging noise behind you.
“Ugh, get a room.”
“This is my room,” Seokmin snapped back, looking over your shoulder. He kissed you again, then finally let you sit back. “Hey,” he started. You looked up at him, pursing your lips. “Wanna be my girlfriend?”
You giggled.
“You two aren’t even together?” Minghao whined.
“Seriously, you have to do this right now?” Mingyu groaned.
“I’d like that,” you said.
“Me too,” Seokmin grinned.

New Hope - Eliot x Reader drabble/one-shot
A/N: Okay, so I’m re-watching Leverage and I just wrapped season 2 where Nate is arrested and the angsty idea of his daughter being part of the team and losing him came to me so I started writing that and then the rest just sorta happened. Basically a drabble that turned into an unplanned one-shot I’m not entirely sure I like. I feel like I should give it additional parts but y’all can decide that. I also have another Eliot angst/fluff I’m almost done with and about 2-3 one-shots/multi fic ideas for Eliot I’m trying to organize.
Details: You are Nate’s daughter (either by Maggie or maybe gf/hs sweetheart before Maggie) that’s part of the team and already established gf/love of Eliot. Nate is arrested and it spirals you down, until you find something out and your life changes. Kinda sucks, please be kinda, haha.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
In the span of maybe two minutes, everything came to a screeching halt. Well, not quite a halt. More like trying to watching a video that was trying to load and play at the same time. Every part of your body felt heavy, heavier than you ever remember feeling. You try to focus on the situation at hand but things register too late.
Sterling, standing with cops, surrounding you and the team. Guns pointed at you. Trapped. Your dad speaking, walking to the rail. He cuffs himself to the rail. Why? What’s happening? Him and Sterling talking. What’s happening?
“Dad? What are you doing?” You take a half step towards him, when Eliot grabs your hand to hold you back. The guns shift in your direction.
Your dad tells the team how you’re his family and he will never forget that. None of this is computing. He’s yelling for you all to get on the helicopter. You feel Eliot tug at your arm to get you to move. It snaps you out of your haze and everything is in crystal clear focus. You pull away from Eliot and rush to your father.
“No. No! You aren’t doing this. There’s another way.” You frantically start tugging at the handcuffs, believing if you pull it hard enough it’ll break apart and free him. You hear your teammates call your name, but ignore them still rambling. “This isn’t happening. We lost Sam. I lost Sam. I can’t lose you too. You can’t leave me. Dad, no!”
He shifts his cuffed hand to gently and firmly grab yours, saying your name. You freeze and look up into his eyes. “Do you remember what I use to tell you when you were little?”
“That I was your first true love, and true love is about protecting each other.” You whisper, your voice shaking. He gave you a gentle smile, his eyes softening.
“That’s right. I couldn’t save Sam, and I’ll live with that guilt forever. But if I don’t do this to protect you, and them, I couldn’t live with myself. I love you, so much.” He leaned forward and gave your forehead a kiss. As he pulls back, he nods to Eliot to grab you.
“Daddy.” You try to keep hold of his hand, but Eliot pries you apart and keeps a firm hold on your arms, following the rest of the team to the helicopter. Your eyes lock with Sterling as you move past him. The look you give him makes him take a side step back. You hear Eliot telling him to watch his back; Eliot will be the least of his problems.
Then, it was like the video fully loaded and everything sped up at once. You barely remembered the flight, or the following weeks after your fathers arrest. It was a blur spent in bed, crying off and on with random bouts of anger. Sophie and Eliot spent the most time with you, trying to make you eat and stay somewhat in a routine of at least wondering around Eliot’s apartment. About a month after his arrest you tried to ease back into being with the team and wanted to help in planning his escape. Then you got sick.
You were sitting in the bathroom in your dad’s flat, loving the cool side of the tub against your neck as you focused on breathing. A soft knock made you open your eyes a crack, seeing Eliot quietly step inside and close the door again. He grabbed a washcloth, got it damp, and sat down in front of you while holding it to your forehead.
“How you feeling?” Every part of him showed concern.
“Like death.” You gave a dry chuckle. “Why aren’t you sick? We’ve been eating the same things for months.”
“Minus your comfort food,” Eliot joked.
You rolled your eyes, “I haven’t had that in...” You trailed off trying to remember the last time you had any comfort food aka period cravings. When you realized you couldn’t give a confident answer on the last time that happened, you said the only thought you had. “Uh, oh.”
Eliot tensed, “Uh, oh? What ‘uh, oh’?” His eyes follow your hands as they settle on your stomach, his own arm dropping from your forehead. “Uh, oh.”
One not-so-secret trip to the corner drug store (courtesy of Parker eves dropping and blabbing to everyone else in the apartment) and twenty minutes of drinking water and waiting to pee later had everyone sitting in the living room looking at the timer on your phone. Well, Eliot was pacing but everyone else was sitting.
“Man, if this is positive Nate is gonna break out just to kill you. We might not have to do anything.” Hardison tried to joke, looking at Eliot who was far from amused.
“Hardison I’m gonna jump over this couch and -” Eliot started before Sophie jumped in.
“Can everyone just stop for a minute? We need to be supportive right now.” She gave them a pointed look and went back to rubbing soothing circles on your back.
The timer went off and you couldn’t shut it off fast enough. Beyond that quick movement, you found yourself stuck to your seat. You turned and looked at Eliot, standing at your side, neither of you seemed able to move. Then you hear a huff and a flash of blonde as Parker sprints to the bathroom and comes back just as fast holding the stick. Her face is unreadable.
“Well?” Sophie asks.
“Negative.” Parker looks between you and Eliot.
“Oh.” You feel your shoulders drop, processing the news.
“That’s good, though, right? That’s what you wanted?” Hardison asked.
“I mean, yeah. That’s the smart outcome. It’s just...” You felt tears prick at your eyes and turn towards Eliot. He sits on the arm rest and hugs you to his side. “I guess I had just assumed it was gonna be yes so I started thinking of all the memories we’d make and our life...”
“Me too.” Eliot confessed, kissing the top of your head.
“Well, good news then. It’s positive.” Parker’s face broke into a smile. You and Eliot’s heads snapped over to her. “I lied before. Just wanted to be sure you knew your real emotions on it.”
You jump up and rush to grab the test from her hands. She’s still smiling like she somehow won the jackpot. “You are the craziest person I’ve ever met.” You mumble to her, but she didn’t seem remotely fazed. There it was, big and pink and plus. You look back up at Eliot and nod in confirmation. “It’s positive.”
He walked over and took the test from your hand, staring at the symbol as you had done. Then his arms wrap around you and hold you close, being as gentle as possible so you don’t get sick again. Your arms wrap around him and you start to cry and laugh at the same time. Eliot pulls back enough to see your face.
“Those happy tears?” He looked slightly worried. When all you could do was nod and smile at him, he smiled back. Eliot put one hand on your check and moved the other to rest on your stomach, leaning down he gave you a passionate and loved filled kiss. The euphoric moment ended once you heard Parker speak yet again.
“So what’s Nate gonna be more pissed about: Eliot getting his daughter pregnant or not knowing Sophie’s real name?”
“Those are problems for another day. Right now, we are going to celebrate the newest member of our family!” Sophie came forward and gave you both hugs, followed by Hardison and a typical semi awkward Parker hug.
You looked at your team, laughing and smiling. They would be there for you and Eliot and your growing baby, and that made you feel a happiness you’d been missing for the past month. Your dad was right - they are family. And you saw hope and a future for your family. You’d get your dad out and once everyone was together again, no one would be able to break them apart again.
This is a wangxian Yoi au, or it was going to be, I wrote the first chapter. Then realized I don’t know how to write skating, I don’t know anything about figure skating, and I feel like I should not be flying blind in this. Also, creativity got fried. Which sucks.
But, I figured you might enjoy reading the first chapter, and idk if it's because i wrote it but I find it's fine to read on it's own.
Story under the cut, I do hope you enjoy.
“Huaisang, why are you calling me at midnight?”
“Excuse you, it’s one am. And you didn’t respond to my text. Check your messages and watch the link I sent you.”
“Fuck no.” Despite Wei Wuxian’s words, he grabs his computer off his bedside table and sits up, “What’s the video called?” Wei Wuxian asks as he pulls up youtube.
”Uhhh,” there was some tapping, ”okay, english is Lan Wangji attempts Wei Wuxian’s Confusion.”
The name made Wei Wuxian perk up as he quickly types and searchs for the video. “Why didn’t you just tell me it was Lan Zhan?” He wouldn’t have grumbled.
”Just watch!” Wei Wuxian rolls his eyes at Nie Huaisang’s excitement but plays the video, muted because Jiang Cheng will kill him for waking him up at midnight. Wei Wei Wuxian was pleasantly surprised throughout the whole video, and also curious as to when Lan Zhan learnt it so completely. It had been his freestyle at Worlds two nights before, the one that earned him gold, again. He had changed it to work with his current condition and still earn him gold, but that just meant it was more complicated stepping he had perfected and a bunch of quads- not nearly as much as he normally did but, enough. Lan Zhan had changed his quads to triples.
Wei Wuxian could only point out one mistake. He rewatches it to see if there are any others. They’re aren’t.
“He fucked up one of the salchows.” Wei Wuxian states, watching the video for a third time. That was generous, he wobbled a bit too much on the landing. Madam Yu would’ve called it a complete fuckup and made him redo the entire program. For a practice it wasn’t bad, especially since Lan Zhan seemed distracted still.
Nie Huaisang groans on the phone, ”That’s all you have to say?”
“Hey. He’s the one who didn’t call me.”
”And now he’s dancing your stupid love letter!”
“It was not-“ Wei Wuxian is stopped by a pillow hitting his face, falling back onto his bed. “I have to go, I woke Jiang Cheng.”
Nie Huaisang giggles and hangs up with a singsong, “Good Luck!”
Wei Wuxian sits back up, chucking the pillow back onto Jiang Cheng’s bed. The lump that is his brother doesn’t move. Just an angry grumbled, “Get the fuck out of the room if you’re going to be awake.”
Wei Wuxian could go back to sleep, but he’s more interested in Lan Zhan right now. So he shuts his laptop, pulls on a jacket, and leaves the room with his phone in his pocket and his laptop under his arm in his fluffy bunny slippers. He goes down to the airport and sits at his gate, opening hs laptop back up to watch the video again. They were flying out to Italy in five hours. Well. wei Wuxian and Uncle Jiang were, Jiejie and Jiang Cheng were flying back to Canada in ten. Jiang Cheng had made their room decisions because if Wei Wuxian and Uncle Jiang shared they would’ve left without saying goodbye. In Wei Wuxian’s opinion, it’d be better to say goodbye before they went to sleep instead of waking everyone up at six in the morning, but he was promptly told to shut up.
Wei Wuxian calls Nie Huaisang back as the video plays, it’s impressive. And Wei Wuxian has always loved Lan Zhan’s skating. It made the Grand Prix all the more odd.
”It’s a love letter.” Nie Huaisang says in lieu of a greeting.
“It was not a love letter.” Nie Huaisang made a doubtful sound. “It was a letter of why the fuck did you never call me? I gave you my personal number and whitelisted you. Why did you never contact me?”
“So… an unrequited loveletter.”
“Why am I friends with you?”
”Because I helped you shave off Lan Qiren’s awful goatee.”
Wei Wuxian chuckles at the memory, Teacher Lan had been so pissed. “Hey… do you think he has any relation to Lan Zhan?”
”I do blackmail, not familial relations. If I did, you wouldn’t have spent five years calling Xiao Xingchen Jiujiu as a joke only to find out it was very appropriate.”
Ah, yes, the most awkward celebratory dinner in Wei Wuxian’s life with his uncle and grandmother.
“You and I both know I called him Jiujiu because I forgot his name and it was the first thing that came to mind.” Nie Huaisang cackles, fully aware that when Wei Wuxian forgot peoples names, if he didn’t hate them, he immediately went to familial relations.
It’s how Nie Huaisang’s older brother is forever Da-ge to Wei Wuxian. And how half his competitors are variations of cousin and uncle. Those that don’t speak chinese are typically confused but assume it’s a nickname until someone (Jiang Cheng typically) tells them they are now the son of Wei Wuxian’s father’s brother. Or something of the like. Those that speak chinese typically return the favour. For example, Xingchen called him Wai Sheng as often as Wei Wuxian would call him Jiujiu.
”Yup. And then you finally met your grandmother. Hands down, best World Champions I’ve ever been to.”
“Oh fuck you. Are you going to Italy?”
”Already here. I convinced Da Ge to fly me out right after the World Champs. I have been shopping for days. I love Italy.”
“You love that you can logic your way into drinking wine with every meal.”
”Mmhmm. You don’t normally participate in the Egna Spring Trophy. Why are you coming this year?”
“I like to shock people.” ’I don’t want my season to be over just yet. I don’t want to stop skating.’ “Can you keep a secret?”
”Of course. Did you put shaving cream in Jiang Cheng’s suitcase again?”
“No. He doesn’t let me anywhere near it anymore. I…”Wei Wuxian chickens out. He can’t say it. Not now. “Actually it might be better to say in person. Do you think the video’s a message?”
”What? Oh! Lan Wangji’s? Maybe? What message might he be sending?”
“That he still wants me to coach him next season?”
”You can’t coach someone and participate.” Nie Huaisang remarks. Wei Wuxian stays silent, normally his response would be ‘watch me’, but he can’t. Nie Huaisang gasps at Wei Wuxian’s extended silence. ”You can’t”.
“I’ll talk to you about it in Italy.”
”Have you told Coach Jiang?”
“No. Not Jiang Cheng or Shijie either. Don’t say anything. I’m still…”
”Yup. Got it. Lips are sealed.” Wei Wuxian sighs in relief, he’s not sure what he was worried about, but he’s grateful Nie Huaisang isn’t telling anyone. Not until Wei Wuxian says it himself. ”And, I guess the video could be a message. Maybe he lost your number? And it’s not like you told him you whitelisted him. Maybe he thought you were joking and didn’t want to risk rejection? I’ve asked Da ge but he told me to shut up and not bother him so…”
Oh right. Wei Wuxian forgot Da Ge was friends with Lan Zhan’s brother. “Meanie. But you know where he is right?”
“Yup. But Da Ge told me not to tell you. Didn’t want you bothering the Lan brothers or something.”
Wei Wuxian hums, “What a shame.” Nie Huaisang couldn’t tell him where Lan Zhan was. But, he could tell Wei Wuxian about Lan Zhan’s home.
”Mmhmm. There’s a wonderful hot spring in Gusu. As well as a cold spring that’s supposed to promote healing. I always find that afterwards, I’m too busy warming up to really care about any injuries.”
Wei Wuxian chuckles, Gusu huh? “Never heard of it.”
“No? It’s a rather small city. Not very well known. The hot spring I go to is called Hanshi.”
“...Frost Room?” Odd name for a hot spring.
”Mmhmm. I think it’s ironic or something? You know, a hot spring frost room? Who knows? We both know I didn’t ask.”
Wei Wuxian nods, “Mm. Maybe after Triglav I’ll pop over.”
”Making this season count I see.”
“I just want as many gold medals as possible. I’ll let you get some sleep. I am going to get started on coaching notes.”
”I’ll send you whatever videos I have of Lan Wangji. See you soon.”
“Mm.” Wei Wuxian hangs up and pulls up his note-app to start taking notes as he watches Lan Zhan’s video again. Noting places where Lan Zhan could do with improvement. There weren’t many, but Lan Zhan hadn’t focused his training in the same areas Wei Wuxian did. In some areas he was actually better at Wei Wuxian’s program than he was. Particularly with the stepping. More precise and fine-tuned than Wei Wuxian’s own. If Wei Wuxian had given Confusion to Lan Zhan he probably would’ve netted a higher score than Wei Wuxian. If he could land the quads at least.
_-3 weeks later-_
“Gusu is so nice. So warm. So not Canada.” Wuxan says to Nie Huaisang over the phone as he waits for the cab he arranged to pick him up from the airport.
Nie Huaisang’s laugh titters over the phone, “You’re not in Gusu yet. Gusu is a mountain city.”
“Ah, so the temperature will be back to normal. Good.”
”Tell Xichen-ge hi. I did not warn them you were coming, so, have a fun surprise!”
Wei Wuxian laughs, “I will. How’s Da ge?”
”Very annoyed that I told you where they live. And not accepting the fact that I didn’t tell you where they lived. I told you of a wonderful hot spring in Gusu and upon research you found it was owned by Lan Wangji’s brother. How can I be blamed?” Nie Huaisang actually seemed offended.
Wei Wuxian laughs at his friend. “Well, at least he’s not making you do hockey.” Nie Huaisang screeches, making Wei Wuxian laugh harder.
”He would never.”
“Didn’t he initially put you in hockey? Who’s to say he won’t put you back in?” It’s a joke, but Nie Huaisang is silent on the other end. And then Wei Wuxian can hear him running through his house.
”DAGE!” Wei Wuxian pulls his phone away at the yell, but puts it back once the yell is over to hear whatever else Nie Huaisang says. There’s some muttering that Wei Wuxian assumes belongs to Da ge.”You wouldn’t put me in hockey, right? Even if I fail Ice Dance?” There’s complete silence on the other end. But Da ge must’ve said something, or made a certain expression because Nie Huaisang screeches, offended and scared, “Da Ge!” Wei Wuxian laughs at his friends' misery and offence. He always feels a little bad for Da ge at events since he’s typically the only hockey player there and very few figure skaters bother to hide their dislike of hockey players. Typically it’s vice versa too, but when Wei Wuxian and Nie Huaisang go to Da ge’s games they tend to keep away from that subject. As much as possible. Except that one year one of Da ge’s teammates called Figure Skater’s prissy princesses and Wei Wuxian attacked him and had to be pulled off by Da ge.
He was fourteen. Nie Huaisang took a video.
Wei Wuxian stops laughing enough to notice his cab and met the driver, putting his phone in his pocket to drown out Nie Huaisang’s crying. After a quick chat, his luggage was put in the trunk and got in. He pulls out his phone and puts it back to his ear just as Nie Huaisang starts calling Da ge mean.
”How could you scare me like that?” Da ge was laughing in the background.
“Older brothers. It’s what we do best.”
”Meanie.” Was hissed at Wei Wuxian. More mumbling Wei Wuxian couldn’t make heads or tails of before Nie Huaisang speaks again, ” Da Ge wants to talk to you.”
“He’s not putting me in hockey is he?”
”Uhhh, da ge? Are you putting Wei-xiong in hockey?”
Da Ge was close enough to the phone Wei Wuxian could hear his reply, “Can I? He’d do damn good.”
“Don’t joke! I’m too fragile for hockey!” Wei Wuxian protests with a pout. “What did Da ge want to talk about?”
”Don’t harass Xichen and Wangji. If they tell you to go. Go. I don’t care what Wangji said at the Prix banquet, leave him alone if he wants to be left alone.” Da ge orders.
“Roger roger.”
“Wuxian.”
“I got it. I won’t bother them if they don’t want to be bothered. If he says no I’ll book a flight tomorrow and head home. Or to your place. Or to Xingchen’s. Bottom line I’ll leave if they want me to.” He won’t overstay his welcome.
”Good. Good luck.” With that, Da ge hangs up.
_-Gusu-_
“How was lessons?” Lan Xichen asks as Lan Wangji returns from the rink with Lan Sizhui and Lan Jingyi in tow. The five year olds loved skating. So when Lan Wangji returned from his complete failure at the Grand Prix, he had taken over their skating lessons at Cloud Recess at their insistence.
“They improved. How was business?” Lan Wangji asks as both kids run upstairs.
“Adequate. We have one guest currently. Actually, he asked for you by name.”
Oh. Great. “Did he say why?”
Lan Xichen shakes his head, he probably didn’t ask. “Just said to tell you. He also said if you don’t want to talk to him he’ll leave.”
Lan Wangji shakes his head, “No. I’ll talk to him.” He hopes it’s not a fan. Or one of Coach Zhong’s students come to ask him back in place of Coach. Lan Wangji just wanted to take care of his rabbits and ignore the world until his failure is forgotten. Lan Xichen smiles, probably remembering that just last month Lan Wangji told him he didn’t want to talk to anyone.
“Good. I’m going to make sure the tykes are not causing havoc upstairs, watch the front for me?” Lan Wangji nods at Lan Xichen’s request, allowing his brother to rush up the stairs.
Lan Wangji had just sat down at one of the tables, intent to get some work done. He was working with the library in Cloud Recess with translations, it didn’t pay well, but he enjoyed it and could do it in between helping Lan Xichen out at the Hanshi.
But before he could pull his laptop out, a guest came into the main room. Lan Wangji looks up to greet them but the words die on his tongue, eyes widening a fraction as he took in Wei Wuxian, half naked, with his hair in a towel. Well, he had a jacket on that wasn’t shut, so he wasn’t technically breaking the rule about being undressed outside the springs, but his incredibly toned chest was still on full display. Lan Wangji could feel his ears burning, and was very thankful he rarely blushes on his face.
A smile split across Wei Wuxian’s lips, “Lan Zhan.” ’What?’ “I wanted to talk to you.” Wei Wuxian falls to his knees on the opposite side of the table than Lan Wangji. Lan Wangji nods, although he was still stuck on ’Why is Wei Wuxian calling me by my given name? How does he even know it?’ Somehow Wei Wuxian’s smile got brighter. Which Lan Wangji felt was just unfair and rude. He’s trying not to panic here. “I want to coach you for next season.”
What.
Fuck trying not to panic.
What?
“Why?”
“I saw your video. Your stepping is very impressive. But you need to work on your jumps. Although you seem to learn quickly since you were able to learn Confusion in just a few days.” Lan Wangji would like this conversation to stop and rewind. What video?! He only danced Confusion once! And- oh fuck. Lan Jingyi is corrupting his perfect child. Wei Wuxian was still talking. Lan Wangji missed a portion. “-so I figured I’d come down to offer my services as coach.”
“Are you not competing next season?”
Wei Wuxian looks surprised, “Ah, I guess you don’t get much news out here.” Lan Wangji has been avoiding most skating news. He only watched the Worlds because Lan Jingyi and Lan Sizhui demanded it. “I’m taking a break. I’m twenty-three and have won every single competition I’ve been in for five years, got bored. And then I saw your video and decided I wanted to help you win the Grand Prix.”
What.
“What’s your current work out regime? I have some ideas but I don’t want to overwork you. Also, where’s the rink and can we schedule private time to practice?”
“Wei Wuxian-“
He cuts Lan Wangji off, waving his hand, “Call me Wei Ying.”
Okay.
“Wei Ying. You cannot take a break just to coach me.”
“Yes I can. But I didn’t. I was going to be taking a break this season anyways. If I hadn’t seen your video I might’ve let Da ge talk me into hockey.” Wei Ying shudders theatrically, “I’m too delicate for hockey.” Lan Wangji would disagree. Lan Xichen showed him the video of Wei Ying beating up a hockey player nearly twice his size. “If you don’t want me to coach you, I’ll leave. But if you do… I already have plans for your programs. And areas to improve.”
It was tempting. To accept the offer. Last year's Grand Prix had been Lan Wangji’s first venture into international competitions. He was used to national and local competitions. But after the complete failure of last years Grand Prix he wasn’t sure about returning to the international stage. However, Wei Ying had a lot of experience in the international stage. He’d been competing in International Competitions since he was thirteen. An entire decade.
Lan Wangji nods, “I accept.”
Wei Ying’s smile gets impossible bright. “Perfect.”
Favorite beverage: Just your good ol’ cold water. If I wanna treat myself I’ll get milk tea. When was the last time you had ketchup? Ooh I don’t remember...it would probably be 3-4 weeks ago. Or whenever the last time we had lumpia was, because I like drowning that shit in ketchup. Have you ever had a red hotdog? Yeah frozen hotdogs is a favorite snack here and they’re usually red. We usually have them for breakfast, it’s served in parties, it’s in every school caf, etc. What is the most recent gift you've been given? So my uncle has his budding cooking business and sells different dishes everyday. His most recent bestseller is burnt basque cheesecake and while I’ve always wanted my own because it looks SO good, I just haven’t had the money to allot for it. I was really surprised when my grandma called me up today and told me she had ordered an entire cake for me as a graduation gift :) I asked my dad to pick it up from her place this afternoon and it’s crazy delicious.
Is what you're wearing comfortable? Yeup, now that it’s cooler. I sweated through my top when it was hot earlier though, and that wasn’t a comfortable situation at. all.
Did you leave the house today? Nah. I did step out to help my dad with the groceries, but that was it for today’s adventure. Are there bumper stickers on your car? No. If I wanna put stickers on my car I would rather have them on my rear window, and not directly on my car. Are you watching tv right now? What? The dining room TV is turned on but I’m not watching; my dad likes to have it on to listen to the evening news while he cooks dinner. Are you wearing anything blue? Nope, it’s all black for me today. Do you have a job? Not yet. Is your car messy? No. There’s really no reason for it to be, I’ve only driven out once since March. When did you last have whipped cream? I...can’t recall, actually. We don’t have whipped cream at home and I don’t think I ever ordered anything with whipped cream on it shortly before lockdown. How far away is the closest house? 10-20 steps away, depending on how big your stride is. What street do you live on? I’m not dropping that on here. The most I’ll tell you is that our streets are named after tropical cities, haha.
What is your favorite flavor of smoothie? Used to not like smoothies 100% because of the presence of fruits in them, but thanks to my friends Apple and Ed introducing me to Go Salads I’ve come to really like their Breakfast Smoothie – which, after looking up their menu just now, has apple, banana, cinnamon, oats, coco sugar, chia seeds, greens, and soy milk. Are you dating anyone? Yes ma’am. What color is you computer? Silver. Do you own an iPod? What color is it? Technically I still do but only because I haven’t thrown it out. It’s a blue iPod Nano. What is the most recent picture on your phone/camera of: A photo of the aforementioned burnt basque cheesecake. I was planning to post a Facebook status to promote my tito’s business and show my support, so I asked my sister to take a few aesthetic shots of the cake for my post to look presentable. Have you ever shot a gun? No. I’ve shot a fake one that belonged to Athenna’s dad, which he used for like target practice or something. What temperature is it? 31C.
Do you know anyone with a third nipple? No but Harry Styles has four, HAHAHA. There’s your random fact for the day. What do your parents do for a living? My dad’s an executive sous chef and my mom’s a secretary in her specific department in the hotel she works in. Both have always been in the hotel and restaurant industry. Have you ever had a pet that had babies? No. We’ve avoided female dogs because we know we’re not capable of caring for newborn puppies, so instead of potentially being reckless owners we’ve just not had female pets altogether. Which grocery store is closest to you? A local mall chain that has their own grocery, SM. Do you have a hamper in your room? Nah, my parents prefer a general hamper in the bathroom. Do you know anyone that's a nurse? Yes, I have several aunts and as far as I know, one cousin :) I feel really bad for them especially in these times, but they’re such strong people and they just keep powering through and powering through. Do you know someone with the name Alaina? Not that I can recall. What color is the blanket on your bed? Off-white. What are your parent's middle names? No thank you. Have you ever broken a bone? Never. Do you wear braces or glasses? I wore braces in high school, and I’ve had glasses since Grade 5. What color are they? I picked a different color for my braces for every monthly visit cause it made me feel quirkly; my glasses’ frame is dark brown. Are you currently reading a book? Not currently, no. When did you last get your blood drawn? Ughhhhh, cringed reading this haha. Last May when I needed to get a blood test done. Have you ever done hard drugs? Nopes. How many contacts are in your phone? I just know I have a lot, but Apple doesn’t tell you exactly how many and I don’t feel like counting all of them right now. Does your toilet have a seat cover? It has a lid cover, but not a seat cover. What's currently on your grocery list? My dad did the groceries today so we’re pretty stocked rn. What things do you take with you everywhere? My glasses, car and house keys, phone, wallet. Do you know someone that is/was over 100 years old? Gab’s great-grandma was like 106 or 107 by the time she passed. Was your HS principal a girl or a boy? Girl. I went to an all-girls school so it would honestly be a little peculiar if we had a male principal. Have you ever eaten a raw egg? Nah. I wanna try it out though, just for funsies. Do you own any rings? Gab got me this cheap ring for the shits and giggles, but I stopped wearing it when it started turning pink and smelling weird. So no.
If you were to get a new puppy what would you name her? We did get a new puppy! ;) But should we get another, the name will depend on the puppy’s attitude and overall vibe. That’s what we did with Cooper, who was named after Sheldon from The Big Bang Theory because he had been a smartass from the very first minute we played with him. Have you eaten fruit today? No. What about milk? Even more nope haha. I can’t have it all the time. What letter does your state start with? We don’t have states. My province starts with the letter R. Could you list all 50 states? I’ve listed them down on countlesssssss occasions but I always only come up with 35-45 states. I’ve observed that the ones I always forget about are the states in the middle of the map/country-ish states hahaha. What about their capitals? I know a good number of the states’ capitals, but I’ll still undoubtedly do worse. What internet browser do you use? I’ve been on Chrome for the longest time. Do you know anyone that lives in Wyoming? I don’t think so. Do you smoke cigarettes? Yes, starting this year lol. Which person you know has the most unique name? I’m sure I know more unique ones out there but the first names that came to mind are friends of mine named Bernadean, Jeuel (pronounced Jay-well), and Jabes. Oh and I also have an aunt named Marheedoll. Do you know someone that's missing a limb? I don’t think so, no. Do you have facial hair? I do not. Are you a bad person? Not when it comes down to it. I have my petty moments though. What was the last swear you said? I almost yelled the word puta in front of my dad earlier, but I slurred the word and made random noises to avoid saying the full thing haha so it kinda went like puuuuutehshahjskhf. Have you ever called the police on someone? No. What is the most amount of pets you've had at one time? Three – one dog and two birds. When did you last check your email? Last night. I wanted to check if I received any email from the college. Have you ever had a 3rd degree burn? Nope and that sounds so painful, I never want to sustain one. Have you ever ridden in an ambulance? I haven’t. How long is your hair? Right now it reaches only my collarbones. I had it cut fairly recently, so it’s still on the shorter side. Do you lock your doors at night? The doors on the first floor. Does your bedroom have a lock? It does but my mom is such a big sissy about locks and says that “there’s nothing to hide/be private about” since we’re all relatives. She really shouldn’t have gotten a lock for my room if I wasn’t allowed to use it anyway... What do you have at your bedside? I have a rattan trunk that stores all my childhood knickknacks like board games and encyclopedias; then on the other side is a drawer with my home clothes and other knickknacks on the lower drawers. I got some hoarding tendencies from my grandma, so a lot of the stuff I keep in the drawer really has no reason behind my keeping them until today. How big is your bed? Not big at all, it’s just twin-sized. I am so investing on a big-ass bed when I have my own place. Do you know someone that was murdered? I didn’t know her personally but an alumna from my old school got stabbed to death. I don’t know the details but I think she got stabbed because she had gadgets on her, which makes you an easy target for criminals here. The only reason I know her is because my school would do tributes for her from time to time, so I really can’t tell you anything more other than she was stabbed. Do you know someone who's pregnant? I don’t think so. Do you wear a watch? Used to, but I kept losing them. What was your first pet? A pair of goldfish. How much jewelry do you own? Not a lot. The ones I do wear are technically my mom’s too; she just likes sharing them with me. What is the closest purple thing? Probably the ube halaya in the fridge. Green? A piece of Cooper’s toy. What time is it? It isssss 8:43 PM. What is your ideal profession? Lawyer. How tall are you? A little over 5 feet. Have you ever gotten x-rays? Probably once when I was a kid, then around two or three times before I started college. Do you wear gloves in the winter? I imagine I would but we don’t get winter. Do you consider yourself smart? Academic-wise, yep. I’m good at tests and memorizing and I generally enjoy reading educational content. Are you good at algebra? Yeah but I wanna keep it at algebra and geometry lol, I don’t have the patience for calculus and trig. What color eyes are the prettiest? I’ve always loved green/olive green eyes. Are your teeth straight? One of my front teeth protrudes a bit, but that’s all my fault because I lost my retainers back when I still had to use them. My teeth are otherwise fine. Do you like chocolate milk? LOVE IT Do you own a bike? We own a family bike and I’m free to use it, I just don’t because I don’t know how lmao Are you taller than your mom? No. I thought I’d grow taller than her because I had an intense growth spurt at one point, but it never happened. Have you ever been engaged? No. What, in your opinion, is the ugliest name? I’m not a fan of names that end in -leigh, but I don’t think they’re ugly names.
╰ ♡ MUSE 68, KRISTINE FROSETH, CISFEMALE ┊ have you seen VANESSA "NESSA" QUINN-MILLS around hillston? the 20 year old is said to be an COMPUTER TECH. the neighbours would say that they’re STRONG-WILLED and INDEPENDENT, but they’re actually LAID-BACK and OUTGOING. SHE often reminds people of the sound of typing, soft smiles, telling someone is passionate just by hearing her talk about it. all the latest and coolest technology. watch out, though. you wouldn’t believe that SHE’S A SKILLED HACKER. AND TAKES FROM THE RICH AND GIVES TO THOSE WHO NEED MONEY. ( r, 20, est, she/her )
nessa is my soft, girl and a sweet bean ! unsurprisingly most of my kids are. and i am so excited to play her again ?? i have missed this darling so much.
she’s always been into tech and into all the newest and coolest tech. and gadgets. almost like a kid in a candy store when it comes to tech it’s her candy ! if you will. she’s the kind of person you’d go to if you had a problem with tech or maybe anything with it.
likely also as inspo you could put her in front of snapchat and within a few seconds she’d be doing and accessing parts of it that you didn’t even know where a thing. or that you didn’t even know you could do. because that’s literally just her in a nutshell, even when it comes to even the newest devices that she’s never even played with.
she’s working as a computer tech, literally an it guy but it girl if you will. she’s extremely passionate and loves her line of work. graduated as a valedictorian in hs and likely one again in college. always got straight a’s and likely top of her class for real because she’s just really smart when it comes to things.
i feel like she started hacking into small things like her high school just to see the grades of other students or something like that. then eventually she got more serious, and learned to cover her tracks. is very good at it. almost too good if you will.
since then she’s sort of become like robin hood, taking from those that have too much money. and giving to those in need. maybe ; she sees something online and the next day that person has a few thousand in their account courtesy of her. she doesn’t do it to get anything in return ( as it’s likely anonymous anyway and untraceable ) but because she likes helping people. people who deserve it and this is the way she knows she can. that’s kind of quick and easy enough for her.
this is not something she shares and nobody would likely know, nobody would believe her anyway. she comes off as too sweet and too caring to be into something like hacking. if only people knew, that she’s practically robin hood.
she’s also a skilled pianist but hasn’t played in awhile, it used to be something that she was also passionate about but tech became a first priority in life and now other things.
vanessa is strong willed the kind of person you couldn’t talk into doing something she didn’t want to, she’s very much so her ‘own person’ and i feel that’s how people would describe her, and all in all is very true. someone who also has a good head on her shoulders, has always had good grades and maybe even voted ? the one person in life that will go the furthest and do the most.
she is very much a people person likely out of my three the most people person. and who actually likes talking to people/doesn’t act guarded around them. which is good ! because as a computer tech she does help others and is around people quite a bit.
nessa was dropped off at a fire station shortly after she had been born, and no questions were asked as that’s how it goes. she bounced around from foster home to foster home until she was around two or three when the quinn-mills found her and later adopted her. she doesn’t really remember that time as she was so young. she never dug or searched for her birth parents. yes it often lingered in the back of her mind why, but she’s thankful for all that she’s got. all she truly knows is that she was dropped off by her mother at a fire station, and that’s it. she hopes later down the road to adopt a child of her own.
plot wise ; stuff i’d love for her ! and feel free to im or message me on discord.
best friends ! it’s always a must for my kids.
a squad of girls around her age or close to, like this gif set. and they could just be super close and i’d love that.
a flirtationship, they just flirt, it could be nothing serious and just for fun. but all in all could be a lot of fun ?? maybe they are even interested in each other, and can be discussed ! but eyes emoji
someone she can talk to about tech !
maybe someone she helps out with tech, or has repaired stuff for them previously ! i’d even be game for her like putting them together a laptop or phone ( from the ground up and parts. etc and everything )
friends with benefits eyes emoji, ( given she hacks and people don’t think she could do that either, this would be fun too ) maybe they say it’s to help relieve stress SJSJ i don’t know i’m sure we could come up with something !
literally anything hit me ! with your wcs nessa and i are all ears.
Favorite beverage: Well, Water I guess. I like drinking Mt. Dew or Coffee but I’ve cut back on all that stuff (but I will have a cup of coffee every morning)
When was the last time you had ketchup? On Saturday. We made Sweet Potato Fries but they don’t really good with ketchup
What is the most recent gift you've been given? My co-workers gave me a GrubHub gift card for all the help (they’re working from home but I still go into the office so they e-mail what they need to do to me so I can do it for them - I actually hate doing it but..we don’t really have a choice). Anyway, they wanted to give me something as “Thanks for all the help” and I told them a simple “Thank You” is all I want but people don’t listen. (Not to be ungrateful but I don’t like receiving gifts from anyone other than family and NO ONE listens and gives me things anyway).
Did you leave the house today? Not yet, I’ll be leaving about 8:10 to go to work
Are there bumper stickers on your car? Yes :) a “Straw Hat” pirate one from the anime One Piece and an EXO sticker for the kpop group.
Are you watching tv right now? Kind of. “Dark” on Netflix. I paused it briefly though to read these questions - its in German so I need to read the subtitles.
Are you wearing anything blue? No
Do you have a job? Yes..but I’ve been thinking about quitting so I can move back to the city I loved. Life is too short to live in a place you don’t like and I’ve seen other jobs I can apply for so I’m not worried.
Is your car messy? No, I like to keep it clean.
When did you last have whipped cream? This morning..I like using heavy whipping cream in my coffee (as opposed to the other creamers that are all sugar). My husband uses the canned/aerosol whipped cream in his coffee though.
How far away is the closest house? Literally down 2 flights of stairs. I live on the 3rd floor of an apartment.
Aromantic rant
When I was sixteen I got a boyfriend who was a literal sweet. He was handsome, he was shy, he was a gentleman. He also had problems with his family. His mom died when he was young and his family was never the same. I knew him for almost 3 years, we where 11 when that happened, we were in the same school till hs.
When we started dating, it was because people told me he liked me and I kinda liked him too so I gave him a chance. After a few weeks he started telling me about the problems with his family. It was a non ending thing. And I was mad at them because he was such a great boy.
So I introduced him to my family, they welcomed him with open arms. Because my family is kind in a certain kind of way (even if they suck balls in others). I thought I was helping him. Like, I was sharing my family with him since his wasn't really there for him, he could count on us. For a while it was enough.
But then, as time flew by. More fights came and he would always say how fucked up he was. Every time we fight, school would be hell for me. Because he was such a lovable delicate person, everybody adored him. So when I was mad and kept my distance till we talked someone would come up and tell me to give him another chance.
You see I didn't need them to tell me that? It was just a silly fight. But when I came to the boy, he would be a wreck. Not like, crying and telling everyone what happened or anything, because he wasn't like that. But you could see it in his face, the sadness, the suffering. I realized how much power I had over him, and that scared me.
We were in the same class too. So we spent the whole school together, in the breaks he would play soccer with his friends and I would be with my own too. But he sited with me and we talk between classes and everybody in school shipped us.
He got mad if i didn't text him out of school, he would said I wasn't taking our relationship seriously. Like I didn't care. I would say, I'm sorry I was taking a nap, what's up. And he would calm down. It irked me a little, we just spent the whole day together, then I'd think 'stop being a selfish bitch he is your boyfriend'.
This was everyday. Until he got mad again and stopped texting at all after school. When I woke up from my naps to text him he wouldn't answer, but that was ok by me.
He used to lose his phones a lot back then, so he stopped buying them and instead used the computer to talk to me by Twitter. He got mad when I didn't get mad at him, even if i had good reasons not to.
He said that the reason he needed so much attention was because he was fucked up. Because his family was shit, he wanted me there where they were supposed to stand. I told him I was, that he had me and my family. That wasn't enough for him. I tried hard, I really did, after that. To be more girlfriendish, more touchy, more sweet. More not myself. The relationship started to wear me off.
When he first broke up with me I felt bad. Not because our more than 1 year old relationship was over, but because I was relieved. I felt bad, because I used to spend nights crying over how sad HIS life was, how unfair was life with him. And it started to fuck me up too.
We broke up on the weekend. When I stepped in school on Monday everyone was on me.
But what happened? Why? Look at him he is so sad! Give him a chance! You look so good together!
Nobody asked how I felt, my closest friends knew because I told them, and where against me and him going back together.
But the peer pressure was too much.
Things didn't change when we got back together. He still thought I didn't really care for him, that I didn't loved him as much as he loved me. He was right in some way.
A few years ago I realized I was aromantic, knowing about it back then would have helped a lot.
But instead it was just him and me suffering. Because none of us understood why I couldn't just feel the same way he did.
He broke up with me again, when hs was almost over, we where going to different colleges and he was going out of town. If I alredy didn't reach out to him in the same school same city... Much less this way, it would only hurt us more. It was a mature way of thinking and we agreed on it.
Not many months later he started texting me again, asking for another chance, he said he missed me. That he was a fool. He wanted to talk to me, get together again.
I didn't. I told him so. He said ok. He kept texting every now and then, even drunk called me a few times, I didn't answer after the first one.
It hurted that he loved me so much (or thought he did anyways) and I COULDN'T feel the same way. I cared about him. Like a dear friend. I KNEW he was a wonderful person. But I was tired of forcing myself to try to FEEL something I COULDN'T.
I always asked myself why. Why can't I? What is wrong with me?
Because I had boyfriends before him breaking up with me for the same reasons.
I was in second year of college when I learned the term aromantic. And I was so so relieved that I wasn't just some kind of sociopath that couldn't feel love. Because I felt love, just not the romantic one.
Around the same time, I got my eyes in a girl for the first time. I already knew I liked girls a lot more than I should, but never thought much of it. This girl was snarky, had a bad temper and had a AO3 account.
The first time we talked she asked me if I was reading a fanfiction and I freaked out and told her I was reading an online book. She said bull. And showed me her cellphone with a fic open.
We've been together for almost 3 years.
And she's never complained about my lack of romantic gestures. I've never feel obligated to do something nice for her. I get excited when I do it. I hug her and kiss her in private because I don't like romantic pda, only platonic. I've told her I love her because I mean it. Even if it's not the romantic way. Because I would die for this girl, she's amazing, she's strong and she annoys the hell out of me sometimes. But we talk and work things out. And we are honest and accept it when we do wrong.
I don't love her like the disney movies teached me how you're supposed to love someone.
But I love her nonetheless.
And I'm happy I get to love someone in my own way and that they accept the love I can give them and treasure it.
I realized I was aromantic really late. I hurted, and got hurt by, many people. And I'm trying to do better. I talk with some of them, some of them give me the cold shoulder. This sweet boy from the beginning got a new girlfriend and I'm SO happy for him.
People don't believe me, think I'm only relieved he'll leave me alone now. I don't care. I loved that boy once I cared for him. A lot people who feel romantic love have done horrible things.
Love doesn't have to be romantic to be true. To be powerful.
#Personal#Aromantic#Bisexual#Rant#It came to my mind today#Someone asked me why didn't i have a boyfriend today#And another asked why i was so weird#That i didn't have a heart#and i thought you're right#But then kick myself in the ass#I needed to write it out
How do you get such clear pictures of your drawings onto your computer? Do you scan them in? I draw and ink everything by hand instead of digitally and every time I transfer my pictures to my computer, they are blurry! What do you use?
Hey ‘Nonymous!
This is a good question!! I do use a scanner for my pictures. Nothing super special. It’s and HP printer/scanner combo. They usually come in the $50-$70 range. Which can be a bit expensive, but, for me it is definitely a worthy investment! I draw small and the scanner picks up detail that the camera just doesn’t.
Now if you are using a camera there are a few things you can do to make your pictures come out better/ less blurry:
First, I’d recommend using a higher quality digital camera than your phone camera.
The pic below is taken with my cell camera.
And this next one is taken with my Fujifilm Digital camera, which is old(from 2007 when I graduated HS) and pretty basic but still takes better pics than my cell phone.
Second, there are a few things that can help make your photos better.
Try to take your photos with natural light.
If you can tape your work up on a wall so you can hold your camera upright while you take your pic. Or if you use a sketchbook like me, use your fingers to pull the paper flat.
When taking your the pics take a deep breath in as you press the shutter. This will help the camera stay still as you take your photograph.
And don’t be afraid to take a bunch of photos. You can always delete the blurry ones.
Third, don’t be afraid to edit your photo once you put it on your computer/ tablet/ phone. Most computers have have basic editing software. Crop your photo. Straighten it. Play with the contrast, brightness, and color. I always edit my drawings before uploading. The pic below is my edited digital camera photo.
It’s not perfect but definitely an upgrade from the unedited photo.
Of course, the scanner picks up detail that a camera just doesn’t.
But even my scanned images get edited!!
So even after the initial drawing, there is still a process to posting my photos on here. Which is why it sometimes doesn’t happen in the most timely manner. :)
I hope that helps, “Nonymous!! And I hope the rest of you enjoyed the insight into my process!
And folks, I hope you share the art you make!! Even if it doesn’t come out perfect in photographs!!!
Nobody can make the art you can!!!!
Survey #375
“why do i see her, the never-ending night / why do i see her, wearing nothing but the dark?”
Who’s one person who changed how you viewed something? I hold Rhett & Link responsible for "curing" my homophobia. I went through a phase where I shipped them like CRAZY, and they're still my "OTP," and it really made me question why I had such a disgusting belief. The switch was officially flipped when listening to their podcast with Hannah Hart, who discussed growing up as a lesbian surrounded by homophobia. Let me tell you, it felt fucking good to let that repulsive belief go. It was my former religion that tied me to it, but it could no longer be an excuse to me, even when I stayed Christian a while longer. And here I am now as a bisexual woman who wants to deck younger me dead in the face. :') Were you ever scared of driving? What scared you about it? I am TERRIFIED of driving. I'm most scared of getting in a wreck and killing somebody, something I would never. Ever. Ever. Forgive myself for. I'm also petrified of, once again, getting in a wreck and I wind up paralyzed from the neck down. The most memorable time that you skipped school, what did you do? Nothing very exciting. What was the last topic you did thorough research on? Why? Toxic masculinity for an essay in college. What is a dish you absolutely love, but hate to prepare yourself? I don't cook, so. Of the many different American accents, which one is your favorite? New York. Is there anything hanging from the doorknob in your room? No. Why did you move to where you’re living now? Because we had to get out of our former house because the growing mold problem was a health hazard (especially for Mom, given her then-recent cancer diagnosis), and our family friend newly owned this house as a part of the former resident's will. Said resident knew Mom as well and the house problems, so she wanted Tobey to help us into this house anyway. What’s your opinion on wearing pajamas in public? Do you yourself do that? I literally couldn't care less. I do it a lot. Do you usually fill up at the same gas station? No; Mom just pays attention to the price. Are you currently looking for a new job? No. I don't plan to until I'm done with TMS therapy. Are any of your relatives musicians? No. Have you ever had an asthma attack? Thank goodness no. My mom has asthma and I have seen her have an attack, so I know they're terrifying. Have you ever been in a hospital and not felt safe? There was one occasion during a psych hospital stay that my roommate had WILD anger issues. She would explode out of seemingly NOWHERE, to the point once or twice she had to be put in solitary because she would literally scream and damage shit, like throwing tables and such. She scared the piss out of me to the point I finally plucked up the courage to tell the nurses that I needed a different room. What’s the highest fever you’ve ever had? I don't remember. Have you ever been hospitalized for a day or more? At psych hospitals. I think my shortest visit was just shy of a week. Have you ever had surgery? Two. Are you lonely? I'm admittedly very lonely. Are you mad at someone right now? No. Do you eat late at night? I sometimes need a small midnight or so snack because I cannoooooooot sleep when my stomach is growling. If I'm in basically any sort of discomfort, I have extreme trouble sleeping. Who do you miss? A lot of people. I miss Jason, Megan, Mini, Hannia, Emily, Journee... I don't feel like dwelling on those I've lost. Who do you admire most? Mark. If you could transform into any animal what would it be and why? Maybe a cat. Quick, agile, stealthy, majestic, well-equipped to defend itself... sounds pretty good. Are you more artistic or mathematical? Definitely more artistic. Which supermarket do you usually shop at? Wal-Mart. When was the last time you went to McDonald’s? I'm not sure, but it's been a while. Maybe around a month. What was the last chocolate bar you ate? I believe I had a 3 Musketeers because I was really craving one. Who was the last person you talked to on Skype/video chat? The woman who was doing my evaluation to determine if I was a good fit for TMS therapy. Can you remember the first time you ever talked to the person you love/like? Does he/she remember? I think I might have a vague idea, but I don't really remember. Would you be able to have a relationship with someone you didn’t find attractive, if they had a nice personality and treated you well? Yep. It sounds cheesy, but I do mean it when I say a beautiful inside blossoms into the body itself for me personally. Does the last person you kissed have brown eyes? Yes. Have you ever really liked someone to begin with, then changed your mind about them? I guess you could say Girt, because I had a pretty big crush on him when I started HS. We were just friends for way too long that when we finally dated years upon years later, it felt much too weird. He really was my "brother from another mother" by that point. Has anyone ever told you that they wanted to spend the rest of their life with you? Aaaaand he left. :^) If you decided to dye your hair, would you choose to go lighter or darker? Lighter. I want to dye my hair pastel colors so very badly. Do you know what the Enneagram is and if so, what’s your type? INFP. Do you listen to Mayday Parade? I only know "Terrible Things," which I positively adore. Do you have trouble falling asleep at night? I have an extremely hard time sleeping at night. It's honestly one reason I sometimes sleep so much during the day. Are you on a laptop, desktop or phone/iPod? A laptop. Have you ever been so angry that you screamed out of nowhere? I've screamed into a pillow. What’s the longest movie you’ve ever watched? I dunno, maybe over three hours? What was the last thing you watched on Netflix or Hulu? I have no clue. What do you think about your current relationship status? I mean I miss being in love and having someone who sees a future with me, but I know in the deepest part of me that it's wiser that I stay single until I figure some things out. Of most concern, I don't have a job or even a confident sign I'll have one soon, I'm not in school headed for a career, I don't drive, I don't cook... I'm a liability, financially and in other ways. It wouldn't be fair to my partner or even myself to go into a relationship with a heavy risk of heartbreak because I'm taking too long to get to where I want to be. I'm 25 now - if/when I get into a relationship, I want forever, and I'm not wasting time on anyone for almost inevitable failure as romantic partners. I want to AT LEAST have a steady job before I enter another relationship. How many people have you kissed? Three or four. Do you go out on dates? I have no one to go on a date with. Do you kiss on the first date? I never have and probably wouldn't, but I guess if things went very well and I was really into the person, maybe I would. What’s the farthest you’ve gone with someone? Doing to do. Would you rather receive a stuffed animal, flowers, or chocolate? I'd really appreciate any. I think flowers are sorta overrated though honestly, like someone ripped some healthy flowers from their roots and doomed them to a quickly-approaching death, but society still has a part of me thinking "oh that's sweet." I think more than anything, I'd be crazy over a meerkat plushy. Or would expensive jewelry just be fine? You really don't have to do that for me; I don't really wear much jewelry at all anyway. Odds are you'd be wasting your money. What’s the cheesiest romantic gift you’ve ever received? I don't know. Do you like romantic poetry? Yessssssssss. Have you ever been rickrolled? I'm unsure. Do you like bologna? Yeah. It was my favorite lunch meat as a kid. Have you ever had a nose bleed? Yes. Have you ever puked on a fair ride before? No, because I don't go on rides that generally induce that sort of risk. What animals have you ridden? Just ponies. What is your parents' idea of grounding you? Taking away my access to the computer. Dragons or unicorns? Dragons! Do you wish vampires existed? Uh, no. At the moment what is your favorite song? I'm going through another phase of really digging "Castle of Glass" by Linkin Park. Have you ever been pantsed? No. What is your favorite magazine? I don’t read any. Did you ever like Barbies? Do you currently like Barbies? I never really was, I just played with them when my little sister wanted to. I was more into playing with my dinosaurs and Pokemon and stuff. I'm not into them now, either. What’s your favorite hit song right now? I don't know what songs are "hits" right now. What’s your favorite element? (fire, water, air) Fire, aesthetically. Have you ever been to a wild party? Nah. Do you put on a robe when it’s cold? I don't own a robe. Is the last person you kissed gay? She's demisexual. What breed was the last dog you saw? She's some sort of hound mix. We think there might be dalmatian in her, too. What type of day are you having? It's been all right. I'm just REALLY not feeling this damn heat. Driving an hour and back to the TMS office in a car that has no A/C is agony. Have you ever thought about getting your nose pierced? It's been pierced multiple times, and I want to do it again, but this time with a nostril hoop versus a stud so the goddamn thing stays in. Do you prefer warm or cold weather? I have an incredibly strong preference for cold weather. Fuck the heat. Like just 70*F is "too hot" to me. Who was the last person you talked to in person? My mom. Do you hate the person you fell hardest for? No. Do you like rain? Yes, but I don't like being caught out in it. I just like looking at and listening to it. Have you ever liked somebody and never told them? Yep. Do you like to cuddle? If I really like you and it's not too hot, yeah. Are you shy? I'm excruciatingly shy. If you were paid 1 million dollars to spend the night in a supposed haunted house, would you? Hunny, I'd do that for free. Which do you like better- zebra print or leopard print? I'm not really a fan of either particular pattern on anything but the animal. Do you have any stickers on your car? I don't have my own car, but Mom has one that allows her to park in her old school's parking lot. Do you watch Pretty Little Liars? No. My sister Misty, tho
