I am ashamed to say... I have not finished reading MTMTE yet 😭😭 I am currently on issue 7 but I will get to it I promise! It's just time consuming for me to just read and I prioritize writing and drawing more. If only it's a show then I'll probably be done by now. I know a little bit of the comics but not everything!

I am aware of the other DJD members I just don't know much about them! Or if I do, it's something related to Tarn.

So I'll make sure to make it as vague as possible so those canon accurate fans won't grill me as much 🥲🥲

If Tarn hadn't abandoned them yet after seeing you on the other team (See my religion fic) I think the other members would feel the ick bubbling from the depths seeing their most powerful leader becoming something akin to a dog just for a small, insignificant organic. They think he's the whole damn circus for that and they were even planning on removing you completely just so they get their terrifying leader back.

But then they see him tear apart a mech just because they were talking shit about you. And now they realize they don't want to be at the end of whatever this obsession fueled rage that he gets into. You're even worse than his drugs, because he can't live a second without mentioning you!

Tarn would absolutely preach about you to them though, maybe even converting some of them into joining your cult. Maybe some of them will join because they are genuinely swayed by his devotion and whatever this religion is, or maybe they just joined for shits and giggles. Either way Tarn will make sure EVERYONE knows about how glorious you are. (Now I'm thinking about Tarn wanting to show you off to the world as HIS deity but also wanting to gatekeep you and kill everyone who tries to get close to you.)

It's even worse when you are part the Lost Light crew and he's still on the DJD because imagine all the crashouts he's going to have because how lucky LL is to have YOU and your presence grace their ship while HE'S here lamenting about your lost lamb not being able to even see you. He even thought about defecting and becoming a decepticon traitor just to get to you (Which honestly doesn't sound so bad considering he'll finally be with you!)

Additionally imagine all of the comms that LL will get just from him wanting to see you and talk to you, like I'm talking, every hour, every minute, every klik of everyday. They'd have to give you your personal comm just so Tarn would fuck off and not disturb the communications.

There is so much goldmine waiting to be explored with this idea, Tarn still being in DJD while you're LL crew. It would also be funny to see that the rest of the DJD actually came to LL to beg Rodimus to either give you to them or accept Tarn into his ship just to stop seeing their leader reduced to a sparkbroken mech. Maybe reader would be the reason that the DJD will finally disband 😭

The POV is so funny LMAOO you'd have to think about your words carefully in case you accidentally call his name without actually meaning to. The horrifying realization as soon as you hear the heavy, but fast pedes rushing to you accompanied by the ringing of the bell! And with that, you already know your whole day will include a mech cosplaying as grimace.

eggman persisting as the series mainstay villain over various deities, demi-gods, and actual gods is just a showcase of his raw determination and tenacity

only HE gets to be sonics greatest foe and he wants to make sure that stays as fact

Yeahhh I love it, these enormous powerful gods and monsters capable of destroying the planet/universe are permanently defeated and most often killed by Sonic, never to be seen again while Eggman has been blown up and survived explosions, falling off from great heights like the Lost Hex back down to Earth, had his machines obliterated including by Super Sonic many times and has escaped unscathed. Sonic is a god destroying being and he'll fight these huge monsters once and they're dead as fuck or never dare to try again but you can NEVER get rid of Eggman XD

You can't kill him and you can't contain him as he somehow still found a way to get a walkie talkie shipped out to the Chaotix to come save him when he was imprisoned in Heroes too and those are the real reasons Eggman hasn't just been killed by Sonic or imprisoned by the law yet, it's because it's literally impossible, Eggman will just always come back like "I lived bitch". It's not because Sonic lets him go as that's never something he's intended to do. We gotta stop the misconceptions so people don't overlook and undermine Eggman's ability to survive anything and escape everything!

And it's like yeah logically he won't ever be killed off as he's the iconic main villain of the series but you can still think about what it implies in terms of story. And something else to consider is most of Sonic's other foes are permanently defeated and never try again literally can't because they're dead. They could stick around like Eggman like a villain gallery but instead most of them are gone for good after and I find that really funny and awesome. People hyping up monster of the week guys over Eggman but then they just die and only he remains, the TRUE god. Hell he's beyond god, he's THE EGGMAN hehe

They officially call him Sonic and friend's greatest threat for good reason. This man is extremely persistent, dedicated, and determined to accomplish his goals and never give up, so much that he refuses to die and survives all kinds of bullshit that can kill the regular person a hundred times over. It speaks a lot of his strength mentally and in terms of will and passion so stay motivated and determined and also in his physical strength to endure it all. He is genuinely more dangerous and poweful than these other monsters for how he's been able to survive hundreds and thousands of times too

He's extremely dangerous to the planet for the MULTIPLE worldwide catastrophies he's caused, including to the point of them being literally world-shattering and he's attempted to destroy and burn the entire planet and cause as much damage as he needs to get what he wants, with his only limit being the whole world ceasing to exist because then he wouldn't be able to rule it, obviously. While other monsters' goals may be to simply just destroy the planet so it no longer exists, they only get to try once before they're completely obliterated after a final and sometimes only just one boss battle

Eggman's final goal is worse off for the planet and people in it too because it doesn't just get entirely blown up and all the people in it don't get to just die and have that be the end of it. He'll carelessly and at times even gleefully cause tons of destruction to the planet in pursuit of his goals and kill many but they'll still be people to rule over and make their lives miserable with his harsh rule of the empire, stripping them of freedom, making them suffer, and reveling in the danger of his delightfully twisted and deadly Eggmanland. It'll be so bad, they'll WISH he'd just destroyed the planet and killed them all

I Couldn't BEE More Excited!

Back in February, when I was dreaming of summer gardens, I placed an order for 200 bees. I chose Summer Leafcutter bees because no hive is required and they're super pollinators. I asked for my order to ship the second week of June so that I'd have a buffet of blossoms for them. By May I was getting nervous, hoping that everything I planted for my fuzzy buzzing friends would thrive and flower. I hesitate to say that my plan is actually coming together. I squealed when I received notice that the bees will arrive tomorrow via FedEx.

and within a few warm days will emerge and get busy in my gardens. Right on time, the Bee Balm is starting to bloom and I have a big patch of it. Bees and hummingbirds love this stuff.

The front porch has loads of salvia and lavender...again, delightful to bees.

The purple coneflower is opening up as well, there are dozens of buds.

I've got planters and hanging baskets filled with tasty treats.

All six Speedwell plants are starting to bloom - I started these from seed in my greenhouse!

The vegetable garden is a smorgasboard of flowers - the cukes, the bell peppers, and these green beans.

Just beyond the raised bed full of veggies the Cornflower is reveaing three or four new blooms a day.

All three fence buckets are healthy as well.

I have lilies, zinnias, geraniums, and my mammoth sunflowers are reaching for the sky. This was snapped a couple of weeks ago.

This is my view from inside the house. Last month we watched a chickadee pair launch their family from one of those birdhouses. Hopefully later this month we'll see bees buzzing around sunflowers.

I'm hoping that within the next few days the number of flowers blooming will double. Surely some of these bees will stick around for a meal. I hope so. No one can say that I haven't tried. I'm also trying to pull together this mud kitchen. I'm waiting to visit Goodwill until Wednesday (aka bee delivery day!!) because I can get a 30% discount for being a senior.

I'm happy to be labeled old for 30% off. Anywho, I'm hoping to strike it rich and find some pots and pans, maybe a muffin tin or two. I've cut out some bunting from the leftover oil cloth and I think I'll string it across the back. I loosely draped it to see if I liked it before attaching anything, and I think it looks okay. I'll get out there this afternoon and tighten it up and make it permanent.

It's coming right along! I find that if I keep myself busy with several creative projects, whether it's in the yard or for our Little Miss, I'm less likely to end up in handcuffs over the state of the country. It's heartbreaking, it's infuriating, and yet I know that there are tens of millions of people beyond my front door who are good and kind. A handful of power-crazed billionaires will not defeat us. It might be ugly for a while, but they won't win. They've underestimated us. I can think of another time the general population was underestimated.

Big mistake. There you have it. Between art, gardens, and magic for Little Miss, I keep my sanity. Sort of. So many of us are struggling and worried right now, and the fear is justified. Four months in and the destruction is apparent already. Midterms seem a lifetime away. With that in mind, my advice is to keep fighting the good fight, write call, march, do whatever you can to be heard and to raise the level of resistance. But seek joy as well. Find pockets in your day to laugh and create. Feed your soul, even if it's a box of mail order bees. If you deplete yourself you'll have nothing left to give. It's okay to decide you're not going to check the news today (I mean, we all know it's going to be horrifying). It's okay to give your heart and mind a break. That's how we stay strong for the long haul. Take care of yourselves and the ones you love. Start a ripple effect of kindness. Stay safe, stay well. XOXO, Nancy

so. I'm home from the farm and now i have to yet again rearrange a bunch of my house. cut for wittering about personal stuff.

Dude's company laid off most of his team a while back, and as a result, decided it was a bit silly to keep renting office space for now just him and one other guy to come into some of the time. Dude genuinely did go in four days a week, but he had to agree it was really pretty dumb to rent an entire office suite for him to sit in sometimes.

the company didn't want any of the furnishings. they wanted some of the networking equipment, but-- the previous company, before it was acquired, had bought most of the office furniture. this company didn't care about it. so they sent dude one of those big foam-padded locking hard-sided cases to load the networking equipment into, and told him to leave behind whatever he didn't want in that office, and they'd negotiate with the landlord about disposing of it. (This is normal; when they moved into that suite, under the previous company, the previous tenants had abandoned it full of furniture and garbage, and dude's folks had just picked out what of the garbage they felt they could use-- mostly, chairs-- and the landlord cleared out the rest.)

Dude of course asked his former coworkers if any of them wanted their desks or chairs. One of them is kind of a hoarder, so he actually rented a Uhaul to get the desks out-- they were super nice work tables actually, very large and heavy, and there were eight. I wanted one, and he was perfectly happy to drop one of them off in our garage, and didn't even want us to reimburse him for part of the Uhaul. He has a use for two more, and the other five are just... in a storage unit somewhere.... if you need a really nice workbench lmk i know a guy who has some. LOL.

(No they're SUCH a pain in the ass to move.)

So anyway yesterday was the day Dude had agreed with the landlord he'd be clearing out the space and turning over the keys. he was going to do it by himself, but I was like.... how are you gonna turn in the parking pass and then get your car out of the garage it's in? well he'd have to pay for parking someplace. hmmm no. and like.... some of that shit is heavy. no.

so I went in with him. I cleaned the fridge really thoroughly, went through the kitchen cabinets and threw out garbage etc., while he took down all the networking equipment and wrapped it all in bubble wrap and put it in the giant hard case.

there wasn't enough packing material. here my years of expertise working in the shipping department of a camera store came into play. We wound up using whole clean rolls of paper towels to fill in around the sides of the case, and then could close it and know everything in it was held firmly and would not rattle.

He inventoried the chairs. Two were still the original expensive Steelcase chairs the first company had bought them, so we took those. There was a really sturdy folding table with adjustable heights that I insisted we take. And then there were the rest of the rolls of (brand-name!!) paper towels, and assorted other things that I thought we'd use. We put all the garbage into a pile near the door for the custodial staff, making sure to put anything that was *not* garbage far away so it wasn't ambiguous. There were a number of large monitors and things around that we had no use for, so we left them. I threw out empty packaging where i found it, and broken power adapters, but left a box of assorted power cords and other cables. We left the whiteboards, markers, and erasers. Left the dish soap, left the clean dishes and wire rack that held them. I threw out most of the huge pile of takeout utensils that had been accumulated, but left a small curated selection including a set of metal utensils someone had obviously brought in from home and abandoned.

It was pouring rain, but we wheeled everything out balanced on the office chairs all down the block in the rain, and went out for pho on the way home. And now we have several nice office chairs and I'm going to throw out my two worst antique-salvage ones that don't roll, once I decide which are my worst two.

And that folding table is going to hold a sewing machine, because I had been using the desk in our home office on the days when Dude was going in to the office, and I obviously can't do that anymore.

I'm also trying like heck to clear out one sorta quadrant of the basement to fit the work table (it was really never ideal as a desk, adjustable-height to Not Quite Low Enough, and it's 30" deep but also 96" long which is ridiculous). I want it as a counter-height workspace for cutting fabric, although I'd prefer something 36" wide.... but it'll do... but that means I need to clear out a bunch of stuff and make room and....

well I seem somewhere to have lost my ability to sort things. I was never great at it, and by now it's just. Gone. Idon't know how to determine what items go together. I'm great at organizing a work kit-- my purse for example, every single item in it has a designated spot and that's fantastic and i am always prepared with the things I need in my purse. My car, I made a seat-back organizer and it works fantastically well and holds every thing I need in it and I have now several times saved the day because i knew right where The THing was.

But that's notably not sorting. I can organize, but i can't sort. I need to distinguish among all these things and put them into large storage containers so that I can later retrieve individual items from larger containers. I don't know what category the items are. All the helpful advice people give me about how to organize things, how to tidy a space, involve doing some kind of sorting. I can't sort things. Poeple are like "just pick one thing you know needs to go X and do it!" and i'm like. That's sorting! That is sorting. I don't know how to sort. I can't categorize items. i can only interact with them individually. "This is a thing I will need. This is a thing I will not." That's sorting. I can make like, one decision like that in a day, and even that I will question. Making piles of objects by category means I have a one-object-deep layer over my entire work surface within a short period of time, and then I take everything I took out of the box to sort, shrug, sweep it back into the box, and give up, having achieved literally nothing except for having wasted the entire time I spent working on it. So all the "can't you just" advice people give me is Not Helpful and unfortunately I am all out of the grace to appreciate the sentiment behind it, which is nobody's fault but is also the incontrovertible truth.

So if you have advice, maybe don't, unless you have a good way to like, reconceptualize the entire exercise, which I have not thought of, and which is NOT "throw it all out", thanks, I don't need that one either and I won't be nice about it. FYI.

I have attempted to recognize things that are actual garbage, and discard them, but that's about as clever as I can manage to be. SO it's a work in progress and it's going slower than I want and mostly, it's just me taking piles and moving them to a different area of the basement, thereby rendering that part of the basement unusable. Blergh.

But if i can get this table into position, then I will have a work surface, and incidentally will have rendered that whole area of the basement, which is lined with huge wire shelves I purchased intending to organize myself with and then never managed to do so and instead filled with unsorted junk, accessible, and so if I ever find either medication that helps me, or a friend to help me, or a new brain lying around somewhere that I can co-opt and use, I will be able to (in fantasy cuckoo-land) organize some of this junk onto those shelves. I can hope. And then it would be a usable workspace. With a nice work table. Isn't that a compelling fantasy???

I've covered the card tables I was using to cut fabric on with boxes in the meantime, meaning I can't work on any sewing projects, but the card tables were at a height such that I could spend about seven to eight minutes cutting fabric on them and then be crippled with crunchy lower back pain for twelve hours, so let's be real here I was not getting a whole lot done with that setup anyway.

Anyway the other new challenge is that both dude and i need to come up with some kind of schedule for our days because we're both cooped up fairly unstructured in this house and it's got to be something or we'll both lose our minds.

Okay so I watched all of Ninjago Dragons Rising s2p2! I've got so many thoughts and I'm dumping them all here in a long list. SPOILERS AHEAD!!!

to start: Cole!! He's a family man! He's got a boyfriend and they hold hands and they care for their kids and Bonzle so obviously came out to them and omg I wanted to cry. The joy of acceptance. I mean come one she kept saying how alone she felt, they're found family, she was repeating that she chose he town name and identity and the villains were insistent that she wants a person but just a spell like come on

But there's more than that, I have questions I have concerns!! Like wtf happend on Coles quest?? With Sensei Wu??? Like he disappeared and turned up again and said he would explain but never did.

Cole also came back from that in his bolder form so did he figure out he could do it on his own then? Is that what he learned on his quest?? If so it's gonna be a little awkward when he tried to explain that to his bf Geo.

With part 2 I really want to see the whole gang meet them and talk and catch up on everything. Like cole has been missing since the merge and no one this season cared. At all. They hadn't seen him in ages- didn't even know if he was alive until drs1 but nope no worries or concerns. Not even a question of what he was up to.

When he came through the portal Zane wasn't worried or confused at all, just oh? You need some help?? Sure let's beat these bad guys and not worry or show emotions! Is a tearful reunion for my fav character too much to ask?? Cuz he clearly deserves it. :(

And then into both Zane and Coke this season!! Love them!! They've always been my fav duo (gonna have to start shipping geo/Cole/Zane as poly now) it was so fun to see them going around together with Bonzle. They had some great moments and I'm praying we get more in the next part.

On the other hand it was a shame they got such small roles- just seperated from the others as a way to help Bonzle. It means they didn't have the same lessons or knowledge the others got which is totally unfair!! They have a lot to catch up on. They also never got a chance to be part of the main battle

It's dumb but I was kinda hoping for Cole to show off his stronger powers (he always seems to get new powers every other season but that's a discussion for another day). Like sure he could use his robotic mech suit but that's been done before! He can do his boulder thing now (unless somehow he still thinks he can't which means he kept up that form for several days on his quest) and when he made that giant mid hut to protect his family!! I want to see him do that again! Let me man go ape shit to protect Bonzle.

And on another note, Geo my beloved, you should get a chance to shine with your powers. A chance to show off or at least have a talk about them with Cole.

Next up WyldFyre. I was worried they would make her the annoying comic relief cuz if her injury but her talks about losing loved ones and dragon culture and her home were really sweet and it was great to see some development so driven by battles. I love those too don't get me wrong but like I needed to see this side of her. And I adore her relationship with Kai, being besties/mentors/dad for her works so great for both characters.

I will be first to admit that

Kai wasn't really my favourite. If you couldn't tell I love Cole followed by Zane. Always have and likely always will. I suppose that early Kai reminded me too much of some guys form my class and they turned into shitheads and I've always struggled to reconcile Kai's image form theirs. He was always a little too brash, hotheaded, and too often written as stupid to fall into my good graces.

And yet this season I adored him. Of course I've never hated him but like this season made me see what all his fans (many many fans) see in him.

I thought Kai being the first to master such a new, difficult and crucial skill was incredibly satisfying. Form all the way back to season 1 he's been the butt of jokes- having to learn he's not the centre of the universe and sometimes it's others like Lloyd who are the chosen ones. That's all great but him now getting a starting role, his ability being fueled by thoughts of his family, by his childhood and by protecting is friends was just too good to ignore him. Love this form of his character more than any other I've seen.

And now Kai is trapped :(

I'm glad he's got Bonzle with him tho so hopefully they can have each other's backs (she's meant to be a POWERFUL spell after all) they'll need each other if they're trapped with those other 4 guys. If they can apparently demolish everything then I'm rather worried for the duo. Tbh I'm sure they'll survive just fine, probably making jokes at Cole's expense all the while.

On a side note, I found it super cute how WyldFyre was willing to protect and go down with Kai. Besties I'm telling ya

Now Jay. I've never thought too hard about him I know he's one of the favs of the fandom but like Kai I was never so besotted with him. Still a great guy and omg I feel so bad. One of his worst fears was always being alone and now stuck, confused, forced to hide such a fundamental part of himself.

On the other hand he's got a gun now so that's fun!!

And you can't talk about him without mentioning Nya. He worst fears being him forgetting hurts my soul. And she was so sure it could never be true that she snapped out of her nightmare state!! She's going to break when she finds out.

She's already grieving her own brother, we saw her break down into WyldFyre (more proof she's an honorary sibling by now) but now knowing what's happening with Jay, I'm saying the angst is going to be overpowering. It's a greek tragedy fr

Part 2 is going to be rough. Jay only had a single scene but it's already a sign for the worst to come.

Speaking of things being rough, Lloyd is going THROUGH IT!! give this poor guy a break. I do appreciate that we physically get to see the effects of all his trauma- that everything that's happened has real consequences for his character and the story but I can't help but feel bad.

I've also suffered from anxiety for most of my life so to see it in a character like that feels really personal to me. Hope he gets a little break though, god knows he deserves it.

Have to say it's pretty funny that Lloyd's had so much Oni trauma that he forgot that he's part dragon too. Yes ninjas dragons can do spinjitsu why are you surprised at this point

The animation this season has been incredible, the fights were beautiful the angles so interesting and dynamic and I could go on for hours about how much I love it. It's always great when kids -and even animation in general is treated with respect. It doesn't dumb it's ideas and stories and characters for the sake of it's younger audience, and that makes it so much better for me who is definitely out of the age range.

I have my more points to make but I've been adding stuff in and off for ages so I'll probably go through this all later. Thanks for reading, please I want to know your own thoughts too I love discussing that kinda stuff!!

A Proper Welcoming Party - P2

Part 1

As Big Thrasher's fleet emerges from hyperspace, they are all pleasantly surprised that: a) they all arrived roughly at the same time this time around; b) none of them are crashing into a planet or space station; c) they're not getting shot at immediately.

Glorious success!

Now the raid begins.

Quickly scanning the perimeter, Big Thrasher learns the orbital mining station around Mercury is, for starters, way bigger than they thought based on the intel they had, which was only a few months old. And there were three of them now. Okay, Humans build quite fast. Noted.

There was a number of heavily armed and armored large ships docked at each station, and signs of recent hyperjumps of similar magnitude, but no cargo ships. Weird. Are the Humans somehow transporting the processed materials using individually powered containers? Doesn't seem very efficient.

No matter. Big Thrasher has a fleet of a hundred ships, they can just pillage the stations themselves and load up with precious cargo. In fact, none of the Human ships or structures have shield! What fools, such easy pickings! As he was about to broadcast his demands and threats, he noticed the comms have been pinging for a while now. Oh, they want to surrender already? Good. This is going so much better than planned!

"Unidentified vessels, this is the Heart of Liquid Stone. Your sudden appearance in our space is disrupting scheduled flights. Move out of the indicated transport departure area and identify yourselves, please."

Something's off, but Big Thrasher can't quite put his finger on it. Oh well, they're listening, and they clearly don't know who they're dealing with. So, he shall speak with the full authority bestowed upon him by the raw confidence of someone who doesn't know he's about to learn a very valuable lesson!

A moment of silence after his proclamation. Indications of encrypted communication between the stations and the docked ships, and several scan pings going over his entire fleet. Then, a slightly bemused Human calls back:

"Uhh, you sure about that? From what we can see, you guys don't got enough, well, frankly everything, to do much of anything to Bertha's Bosom over there, let alone this station."

At this, one of the large unshielded military ships undocked from the station with uncanny speed and grace for a vessel it's size. If Big Thrasher was paying attention, he would have noticed that a single turning engine was more powerful than all the main engines on his flagship combined. But he didn't, because he was paying attention to the several massive cannons training their sights on his fleet.

Sure, they're big, and kinda scary, but, but, BUT - his ships have shields and theirs don't! Doesn't matter how big a gun you have, any weapons technology before the invention of shields becomes obsolete. This has proven to be true in every civilization. Energy weapons, now that's the real stuff. Drain the shields, then easily melt through the hull, everyone knows this.

So... why is it that they have all been firing at one spot on the hull of Bertha's Bosom for nearly a full minute now (without retaliation or evasive maneuvers, but they're too busy to notice such details), and it's not even red hot yet? You would need an astronomical amount of reinforced multi-layered plating with the highest grade heat dispensing alloys interwoven throughout the entire vessel to absorb a concentrated laser barrage like that. The sheer mass of such a ludicrous thing would then require stupendously powerful engines. AND to power THOSE would demand literally impossible levels of energy generation. Nothing is making any sense right now.

Then, there was a thud. Even though it's the vacuum of space, Big Thrasher felt it. He did not understand what it was.

@thefaeriefeatherdark So I just finished the 2010-2011 run of Kon and I read Action Comics, not Adventure Comics, so I'm not sure if I read the right stories for him, but it was that era Superboy, so I'm just going to roll with it. And I have to say, it was very, very poor world building wise. I didn't mind Lori, Simon or Psion, but everything else was just too much of things I don't like about some stories. I hate Lex being from Smallville and having past ties to Clark (It always just felt very ship fodder to me and I don't usually like that, especially since it honestly doesn't add to his character), I HATE Smallville being basically a leyline location for Superhero stuff and I despise precognition/prophecy storylines which the Hollow Men was very much. That said, thanks to them just straight up dunking on everything from the 90's run, I will say it made it so much easier to figure out his and 90's Kon's separation.

So 90's Kon is keeping his original backstory. He was made by Cadmus with Westfield's DNA by Donovan. He has his TTK and pretty much most of his original run will stay in canon, Tana is dead, Knockout is in prison, Dub is head of Cadmus's genetic division (I'm sorry, but when they just vanished it off the map, I was done with any feelings of what they did to it), Rex is adrift doing something, but Kon got Roxxy out of some more trouble trying to help him out and got her back to Hawaii where Maoka is helping her with her police training (I am not a fan of cops, but it does fit her and she's trying to help with the Super Crimes division and build a relationship with heroes to help out) and is roommates with Hilary. Kon visits every now and then, but he does the same with Smallville and Metropolis, but I enjoyed your Silvergate City, City of the Future, too much to pass it up as his base with Tekka and I forgot her name, blonde teenage scientist. His name will also be spelt Connor as opposed to the "cool" Young Justice's Conner (which apparently is the right spelling reading the comics, but it just looks wrong).

Connor on the other hand, was developed by Contessa after their issues with Match, but she managed to have both Superman's and Lex's DNA, so he is a clone of those two, but she had protective measures put in place so he can't hurt her, along with a tracker. The downside of his being mixed DNA is his powers aren't as potent as a Kryptonian's, but Lex develops the stickers which he tries to use to flush out his creator, not knowing it's Contessa, but the programming prevents this. But to add to this kicker, Contessa hired a telepath who managed to implant 90's Kon's memories into the new clone, why he remembers everything, but since his body knows they aren't his actually memories, his dislike of them just continues to grow and he just offhandedly insults pretty much any of the implanted memories that correlate specifically to him, not the people he knows. Psion helps him figure this out and that's when he and a few of the YJ members try to figure out what happened to the OG Kon, who, honestly was just stuck in another dimension with slow moving time and he didn't realize his few weeks there trying to help out the people there was a few years in the real world so he says bye and comes back. No drama, just a "Whoops, that sucks," only to find out about Jon being hyperaged, Clark being on War World and Kara and Karen doing whatever they're doing (I have ideas, but they're not exactly concrete yet) and helps man Metropolis until Clark comes back with the twins and he's only back around for about a year before originally Jon comes back. Needless to say, his favorite is Chris, since he's the only one who didn't just assume he became a boring dresser.

So Maik, luckily, gets to keep pretty much everything, being a product of LexCorp (I think he has to have a barcode on his shoulder blade or something, Lex doesn't let product go missing) and then depending on if I read Convergence and make a somehow bigger mess of all of this, that one can always be made from the government cloning section, because we know they'd have one.

Also, can people stop cloning him in the comics. Seriously, it's a lot and more reason for me to hate TimKon (ignoring that I just haven't seen it, but I understand it's mainly in runs I haven't read, but cloning someone like that is just, not okay).

Look I'm not a caryler but I watch the show since the beginning and I'm seeing the constant discussion here about Melissa and the spin-off and I'm just giving my unrequested two cents, I think you guys are expecting two much from a dead franchise, we all know the only spin off that will make some noise is the Rick and Michonne one and only because people are curious to know what happened to them, AMC needs to capture a new audience, TWD it's their biggest product right now and they don't want to just please segregated fandoms.

Melissa is a great actress that's for sure, no one will question that but her and Carol were never the face of the franchise like Rick, Daryl and Michonne, so it's easy for them to push her aside and make a Daryl centric show, they see how Daryl was always the most popular one and don't twice to make that happened because Daryl is AMC property, they don't have to pay Robert Kirkman and co to use him.

My opinion on her being back it's because she signed a contract and needs to fulfill that, I don't see nothing changing in terms of her and Daryl relationship, it would make sense to make them canon in the mothership show but I don't see them bothering to pull the trigger in the spin off.

To me they will remain best friends and Daryl will stay single with the constant ship baiting.

You're confusing "most popular" with most marketed. Just because Melissa doesn't do as much promotion, which is something she gets a say in I should add, does not mean people find her less appealing or less remarkable. Melissa is the 2nd most lauded actor on the show right after Andy. She was the most respected actor on set along with Andy, and everybody wanted to work with her.

She was not kicked out of her own spinoff to adjust to the market. She was kicked out because no one bothered to do any market research at all. If they had, they would've anticipated the insane amount of backlash they got last year. Expecting the majority of fans to welcome a solo Daryl show with open arms says far more about the people calling the shots than it does about Melissa or Carol. It says they're incompetent, biased, and misogynistic. It says they fucked up big time, and if you pay any attention to how they're marketing the spinoff now compared to last year, you might realize there's a huge focus on Melissa and Carol. Granted, they keep fumbling big time and if they don't get themselves organized right fucking now they're going to ruin everything again, but they wouldn't be dangling Carol like a carrot if they didn't think she was going to be an essential part of the show's success. They wouldn't have brought her back at all.

You say she's in S2 to fulfill her old contract, but that's wrong. She signed a new deal that would cover seasons 2-3. I don't know what's in it, I don't trust AMC not to find new and unusual ways to screw over their female talent, but I am 100% sure it was her choice to come back and she had plenty of power to get things she wanted. The excuses "fans" come up with for her being in her rightful place again are ridiculous and very telling.

You say she's less popular, yet you, other Richonne fans, Bethyl fans, and everyone under the sun spend time visiting a Caryl/Carol/Melissa centric blog. Why? If I can manage not to waltz into the Richonne/Michonne tags to try to invalidate their fans' opinions and feelings, why can't those who strongly suggest they aren't fans of Caryl/Carol offer me the same courtesy? Because popularity isn't pure love. It includes those who "love to hate" also.

You are absolutely right that TOWL will get the most buzz compared to Dead City S1 and Le Spinoff S1 and that's because it promises everything Rick/Michonne/Richonne fans have been waiting a really long time for. I have major doubts that Gimple can do right by anyone everyone, but I still hope fans get what they want. The one thing I can't stand about TWD fandom is the insistence on pitting female characters and actresses against each other, which I suspect is the real intention behind this ask. But Carol and Michonne are friends. Melissa and Danai are friends. There is absolutely no reason we all can't support a black woman leading her own show and a woman over 50 leading her own show at the same time.

I agree the best time to make Caryl canon would've been in the flagship show and that Caryl will always be best friends. But that doesn't mean best friends can't also be romantic partners, or that the spinoff can't right the wrongs that were made in S11 for unprofessional reasons, not creative ones.

AMC will not "capture a new audience" with a knock-off version of TLOU or from borrowing American exceptionalism and white male savior tropes from 80's movies. TWDU accounts for too much of AMC's revenue for it to go anywhere right now like you said, so they need to be mindful of their built-in audience. They chose to create different spinoffs for different characters, which means they have to niche down to audiences who are invested in each character's story. Believe it or not, Caryl's fanbase is huge and definitely worth hanging onto, but in order to do that, the show has to meet their needs. Treating Melissa as if she's less than, refusing to make Caryl canon for, again, unprofessional reasons, and shipbaiting relentlessly will just drive them away. So respectfully, I disagree that we're expecting too much (you don't work for the AMPTP, do you?)

I'm sharing this poll as a reminder to never underestimate Caryl's value (I have no interest in starting a ship war).

Making a little post :3

Since I'm still working on the timeline of everything and have been working on designs for characters I thought I'd make a little post to give some lore I have. (this post may be all over the place, I'm just rambling)

So, I've stated that Steven is his own gem. I'm pretty sure I've stated that he is a Strawberry Pink Diamond - this is something that I've brought over from an old side au that's dead and won't come back other than random drawings on my alt blog @myrandomsuaus - and I'm going to give a reason why I chose to make him a diamond instead of an actual rose quartz.

Other than it being something to pay homage to an old au of mine, I wanted Steven to still be a diamond because I liked the idea of Sophie and Steven being two sides of the same coin. It's a running theme in my head for this au so it only felt fitting to make Steven a diamond just like Sophie. I went with strawberry pink because I didn't want to go full red diamond. Plus I wanted to have Steven share some of Pink's healing abilities, while also having his own abilities. Those I'm admittedly still figuring out, but I do want them to have a nature aspect because of Steven being half human - like having control over flora and maybe even being able to understand/communicate with fauna (real disney princess type stuff lol)

About the two sides of the same coin thing - I always viewed Sophie and Steven having this relationship of feeling like they were the only ones who could truly understand the other because they are both things that shouldn't even exist yet do. Sophie is what Steven wanted - the stability, a normal life, a chance to grow up around other kids, go to school - while Steven is what Sophie wanted - adventure, a place where she didn't feel like an outcast, learning about gems, freedom to go anywhere and do anything.

They wanted what the other had until they actually got to know each other. They realized what they truly wanted was to have someone who understands them - to not feel alone. Sure, they have so many people that care and love them in their lives, but that doesn't stop them from feeling like they're alone in the world - that there's no one that could possibly understand what it's like being a part of two different worlds.

The two ultimately have a bond that no one can break. I typically describe it as a sibling relationship because I never commit to it being more than that (admittedly younger me was scared to break up Steven and Connie and have an oc shipped with Steven, but now it's a thing that's in the air), however it could be read as something deeper. Especially in this au (canon Steven/other's aus of Steven and Sophie are most definitely more sibling relationship than anything else), it can be read as something deeper.

This isn't to say that Steven and Sophie will be shipped in this au (as far as I have planned Connie and Steven will still get together and Sophie might end up with a certain someone, but who knows), but it's still the early stages of the au so who knows what will happen.

On a different note: a little Sophie fun fact - Sophie, on a subconscious level, does share some memories with Purple Diamond, specifically Homeworld stuff. To her they're just silly dreams from her childhood (she isn't really able to remember those memories as she gets older because she is becoming more of her own person, but as a kid she had better access to them) and never really brought them up. However, she did used to draw White Diamond a lot as a kid, very poorly and not very recognizably, because she was the silly head lady.

Purple Diamond/Amy is gone, no longer exists, when Sophie is born, but due to some of Purple Diamond/Sophie's powers she is able to tap into the memories of a gem whether she means to or not - it ties into the powers of being able to hear gems that make up a fusion, gems when they don't a physical form and rejuvenating gems (any gem hit by Purple's rejuvenation power will be full reset like Amethyst from the movie reset where they don't even know what kind of gem they are or what their purpose is - complete blank slate).

The powers aren't really a spoiler for the au since I've talked about them in the past (minus the new fun fact that I came up with because I never really talked about it before). Though Sophie doesn't have access to any of these powers yet because she's been raised solely as a human. (she's like how Steven was at the beginning of the show - not knowing how to access his powers until slowly learning to - just older and less knowledgeable about gems)

The rejuvenation powers that Sophie has are ones that she won't get access to until way later because it's not something I really have planned on being used in the current timeline of the au, but something she'll learn about later in the au (maybe about learning about that power - I'm not that far planned out with the timeline, the only thing I'll confirm is that Sophie does learn a lot about her mom upon meeting White >:3c)

4. Is there a reason why your Tav starts out as Level 1?

Briar and Ferox both got a hard reset from Orin's attack and getting dissected by Kressa.

Molli just genuinely is level one. She never got the chance to be a proper bard before she got confined, having only basic bard skills. Gortash only let her play an instrument as a very occasionally metered out reward, so she wasn't able to develop past where she was before. Though, she often sang or hummed to herself and practiced the fingerings for notes in the air to pass time/dissociate, so that was enough to keep her skills *at* level one. Her warlock powers she got while on the nautiloid so those are brand new.

12. How does your Tav feel about Us? Did they free them, maim them or leave them behind?

Briar crushed Us immediately lol very much a tone setter for her run.

Molli's state of mind upon waking up was very much "there is so much happening right now that I am just. Not going to process any of it on a conscious level right now." Making her way around the ship in a confused haze and so disconnected from reality that she hardly registered just how terrifying everything was until after the fact. All this to say that, yes she helped Us out. She was honestly just grateful to have any direction at all. "Help us" and "Go to the helm" are much more concrete and digestible ideas than... everything else. When she meets Us again at Moonrise she gets attached to it immediately because it's *like them* 🥺

Ferox also freed Us, more out of idle curiosity than anything. Kinda compromised with his urge which really really wanted him to mutilate that corpse. Like, his urge was telling him to stick his hands in there and the front of his mind kinda backdoor justified that as "I guess I want to help take this brain thing out. Why else would I want to stick my hands in a corpse? That's the only logical reason here good job Ferox 👍" Once Us was out and started talking, he a) was kinda weirded out ngl and b) decided to follow it anyway because it was his best lead on what was going on. I haven't gotten him to Moonrise yet so I'm not 100% sure what his reaction will be to meeting it again.

91. Does you Tav get a happily ever after?

I really love to write both good and bad endings for my characters (thank you Arcana fandom for burning the concept of upright and reversed endings into me). So, yes!

Molli is the one with the clearest happy ending. In her good timeline, she defeats the brain and goes to Avernus with Karlach, where I INSIST that they find a way to fix her heart. They also have to chop off her warlock arm to break her pact but don't worry about that. 😊 Anyway, after that, they come back to Baldur's Gate, get rich selling all the rare hell stuff they've accumulated, get married and retire together. They buy a tavern, but they don't, like, run it. They hire someone else to actually do the managing part and they just hang out with patrons whenever they aren't off having eccentric retired lesbian vacations. They name their tavern "The Mockingbird and Goat."

Ferox will ALSO be getting a good ending but it's not as solidly planned in my head. The part I know for sure for sure is that he rejects Bhaal and then takes up a new Oath of Devoation and dedicates himself to actually being the paladin he's always wanted to be. Probably gonna join Lae'zel in her war against Vlaakith but there's a chance I could be swayed to something different when I actually play through it.

And then Briar's endings are... well okay they're both bad. On one hand she gets everything she wants and takes over the world in Bhaal's name, which *she* likes but is pretty bad for everyone else (and also it ultimately makes her feel hollow in the end but she doesn't know why and she would never admit it even to herself). On the other hand, she gets talked into rejecting Bhaal (thanks Sunflower!) but just feels so so so *empty* afterwards. She feels *nothing*. She has *NOTHING*. She just peaces out to be a weird reclusive mushroom hermit and never talk to anyone ever again. She also resurrects Gortash's body as a mushroom zombie and takes it with her, though she doesn't really know why. It just FEELS right.

Who initiated the relationship, and how did they go about it?

What relationship? You mean he pretending to be a tutor to get dates, she falling for it and ending up in his room, and then her taking it a step further? Well then, that, that's what happened.

Did they have an official first date? If so, what was it like?

Ehm...does lunch in the school cafeteria count? While Ibis used his powers and his friends/siblings to make sure they weren't interrupted and she felt extra special? It was fine. He watched her eat and made her blush by winking, smiling, and telling her whatever he could think of.

What was their first kiss like?

Basically she threw herself at him.

Were they each other's first anything (kiss, relationship, etc.)?

First almost everything. Except relationship. They still both refuse to call it that, and he officially had a girlfriend before her (she was his first kiss). But otherwise? first time, first...bae, first KID!

What is their height difference? Age difference? Do either matter to them?

Oh, he's taller. He's hella tall. He's over 6 feet, she's around 5'5". However she's older, by like 6 months. They care about neither of those things but won't lie that it's a pro (his being tall is a pro to her, her being older is a pro to him).

How do their personalities complement each other? How do they clash?

They're both stupid - ok ok, I kid. They're not. They were just teenagers, can't expect much. Normally when they think about the future is in a dreamlike, faraway, way, instead of an imminent thing you need to plan for. They often live in the moment and forget about everything else when they're together.

He doesn't worry about the future because he feels he's already got all he wants. She doesn't worry because why worry about something you can't control? Until recently she thought the plan was obvious, she'd just follow it and that'd be it. Of course, Lori wasn't part of either of them's plan.

What is their relationship with each other's families like?

It's mostly positive. Ibis parent's always got mad at him, not her. AND they mostly got mad at him for lying and the drugs and cutting class, not for having a girlfriend or having sex. Her parents wouldn't believe they were having sex, and because he came from money and an influential family (his uncle is the mayor!) they liked him, or at least approved of him.

Who takes the lead in social situations? How are they around each other's friends?

Ibis takes lead. He's friendly and very comfortable with people. She's shy.

Her besty hates him, outwardly, and loudly. His friends think there most be something wrong with Taia to fall for him, but ultimately like her, and saw that he was indeed smitten while with her. I mean, he stopped seeing them as much in favor of sneaking around with her.

Who gets jealous easier?

Ehm...neither one? Maaaaybe Ibis, but mostly cuz he refuses to believe anyone could possibly be better than him lol. Especially when he was 15.

What are their parallels, whether in their personalities or their histories?

They both love to travel, and dreamed of going around the world doing nothing but practicing their craft (and for a moment there, being with each other). Neither one made plans for the future (though for different reasons).

Who whispers inappropriate things in the other's ear in public?

Ibis 💯 He doesn't even need to whisper, he can mind write it, and does.

Do they hide anything from each other, big or small?

lol lots, but most notably SHE HID A WHOLE KID FROM HIM

9: Who are they closest with?

Silkie, M.A.R.C.Y., Verse, and Red are all one close group, especially Silkie, M.A.R.C.Y., and Verse. Red is mostly just friends with Verse, so they end up hanging out with the rest of the group by proxy.

Lapis, Coffee, and Rift are all best friends. Coffee and Rift were the first non-robots besides Sonic and Shadow that Lapis met, and they connected quickly. The three of them have been basically inseparable ever since.

Emmy doesn’t leave Angel Island that often, so she's closest to Knuckles. She spends most of her time helping them guard the Master Emerald; she wants to follow in her footstops when she grows up.

Hyper’s friends haven’t been developed much quite yet, but there’s a few people from the Wisp research lab that they hang out with sometimes. Other than that, she loves spending time with her moms and her Aunt Jewel, and she's always going to them to talk about her latest projects or whatever else is on her mind.

11: Do they have any rivals?

Nothing concrete! I'm planning for Red's future boyfriend to be their rival first (as is tradition for Sonic ships), but I haven't actually created him yet.

I will say, Hyper may not have a rival in the main universe, but in a different one, well....... no spoilers :)

20: What are their hobbies?

Silkie is CONSTANTLY drawing. People, places, things in her imagination, everything ends up on the paper. Practically everyone she's ever met has been doodled at least once.

Lapis is always on the lookout for rocks, sticks, shells, and more to take home. The shelves in their bedroom are filled with all the things they've collected!

When M.A.R.C.Y. isn't battling Sage and her robots, she's training for the next time she does. She was created to be a killer robot, and though she's found her own personhood outside that, it's still in her nature to fight, to be as strong and as fast as possible, so no one can best her. She hopes one day to be as strong, or even stronger, than her moms are.

Though Espio's brief time as a poet didn't result in anything good, Verse has decided to follow in his footsteps. He usually prefers to write prose rather than poetry, but he's dabbled in several forms of writing over the years!

Ever walk around Central City and see spraypaint on the walls everywhere? A lot of the time, Red was the one responsible for it! They're always leaving their mark on the places they go, to the approval of their parents and the disapproval of the government.

Emmy is working hard learning to be the next Guardian of the Master Emerald, which means a lot of time on Angel Island with only nature (and her dad) to entertain her. She keeps close to the Emerald, of course, but she's often down in the dirt, digging around for rocks and bugs.

Hyper has a fascination with science, especially Wisps and their Hyper-go-on. She spends a lot of time in the lab, experimenting with ways to use color power in things other than weapons—they recently perfected their gloves and boots, which can use color power much in the same way a Wispon can!

Coffee works at a cafe, so you might expect baking or making coffee to be her number one hobby. And it's true that she enjoys those, but her favorite thing is gardening. Her garden has a large variety of plants, all flourishing! Each one is sure to have a good harvest.

Rift is always at the climbing gym, working on his latest project. His goal is to send every route the gym sets—a very unrealistic goal, which he'll probably never achieve, but hey, he tries his best!

now listen, listen here. i just know deep down in my bone marrows that the twins have had more than one conversation about their boyfriends choice of ships.

leia has told han time and time again that he can't keep replacing and moving and relying on pure luck for the falcon to even start let alone fly. he either needs to get professional help that she's all but willing to provide for, or he needs to get a new ship.

(that last bit is just a threat, a scare tactic, if you will. she knows how much the falcon means to han. leia would never forcefully make him part with his first love.)

now, luke and din? they're different. and that's only bc luke is as sentimental as din and will do everything in his power to fix that bag of bolts. scrounge shady sellers for spare parts? luke is on it. help peli with repairs even if luke is up all night to do it? he has a canteen of caf ready to keep him awake. luke will do, buy, fix, whatever the razor crest needs bc it's din's home, no matter if it's not his first or his current one. it's the first ship he bought after a successful bounty, it's where he raised grogu, where he took luke to see the stars when he was just a kid on tatooine, a bright eyed farm boy hungry for the reckless and the unknown.

luke is dearly attached to that ship just as much as din and grogu are, and he's going to make sure it flies for another day.
