Analytic Deep-Dive of Stanford Pines
Something I don't see talked about like AT ALL is how arrogant and selfish Ford was.
Man literally has delusions of grandeur all throughout Journal 3 and Book of Bill. He decides not just to look at the big picture, but the frame, wall, room, and building it's hung up in.
Fiddleford spent days putting together a whole thesis for Ford that would change his life and give him everything Ford dreamed of; money, renown, credibility, but it still wasn't enough for Ford.
Even when everything fell to ruin and he realised that Bill was trying to end the world, his big dumb nerd brain just couldn't let go of his research, not even for the sake of the world.
(This is kinda long so I'm cutting it; more below)
If he had destroyed the Journals like his first instinct told him to, Bill wouldn't have had blueprints. No one would be able to summon Bill. None of the information in the Journals would have reached any hands, much less the wrong ones.
But Ford was just so *adamant* about preserving his research, he decided that instead of removing the tools of destruction, it'd be better to kill a god instead.
His own hubris lead to everything that happened. Stanley pushing him into the portal, Gideon getting his hands on Journal 2 (an elementary school was a *great* place to hide a book of spells), the whole time thinking he was sticking it to Bill, when really he was playing into his hands.
Ford was a selfish man, and Bill enabled him by filling his head with flattery and praises.
Even after the Portal incident, Bill's influence still lingered in Ford's mind.
He still thought he had to do everything alone, that only he had the power and intelligence to destroy Bill once and for all. And some of his experiences only confirmed that belief.
Journal 3 details a dimension Ford visited where the Portal Incident never happened. In that dimension, Parallel Ford achieved everything Ford dreamed of. PStan listened to PFord, PFord reuinited with his PFiddleford, and PFord found a way to both stop Bill and keep his portal. This is a dimension where Ford got to have his cake and eat it to.
While I vehemently believe Parallel Ford learned many lessons about the importance of trust and community, I wholeheartedly believe that 46'/ Ford only saw this as a world where people listened to HIM, where he was in charge and in control, and everything worked out because of it. I fully believe seeing this dimension further drove our Ford to the conclusion that being the lone scholar was the right thing to be.
He held onto this belief even after coming home, even after reuniting with his brother, and continued to hold on to that mistrust and toxic independent mindset.
His character development didn't start until he played a table-top roleplaying game with a 12 year old boy.

Hey so, tomorrow (or today depending on where you live.) is the end of the strike and well hate to be bearer of bad news but rest and doodles isn't assured when you return to regular posting. In literally TWO days from now, a new bill will pass called the KOSA bill, and it will cause MASS CENSIRSHIP across the media! Now this bill claims to "protect kids" but in actually it will cause more harm than good to everyone since kids won't have readily availible acess (or even at all) to content that can actually help them, people would not be able to educate themselves as access to some information or topics would be deemed "innapropriate", freedom of expression would be revoked especially lgbtqia people, a lot, privacy wouldn't be respected because you would have to verify yourself, and most importantly fandoms would cease to exist (or at least have trouble existing).
Now what can you do to help? Research on the topic, inform your government, friends, and family, and sign petitions against KOSA. Now some of these are optional only if you can't do them, but's what important is that YOU SPREAD INFORMATION AGAINST KOSA.
Yes AND passing this bill would greatly affect protests and spreading awareness such as this now. Time and time again the US has made it clear they are not with Palestine. Like if the US was allowed to post pro-isreal ads in the superbowl WHILE isreal was bombing Rafah, imagine how much worse the propaganda will get if this bill is passed.
I’m leaving a link that explains it pretty well. Source has a copypaste form +number you can fill out to send to your lawmakers.
If you are able to call said lawmakers, here is also a script in suggestions on what to say on call - written in target of democratic lawmakers (left image) and republican lawmakers (right image) respectively [ credit : swopusa (twt) ]
Tumblr media Tumblr media
[ CONTACT SENATE 202-224-3121 ]
While KOSA is a bill specifically introduced to the United States, knowing how much influence the US has on the internet - passing this bill would by proxy impacts EVERYONE
2 Days. It is crucial that this bill does not pass.

more bill brainrot since you're okay with it :) (i think so anyway)
now, I don't really know what scenario to place this in- maybe he's starting to warm up more (physically, emotionally??) or maybe he's helping around your home, I don't know man, D:
he's been really helpful recently, helping with the laundry scattered in the living room, helping to dust some cobwebs in more shaded areas, and other areas of housework.
you couldn't be more thankful for him being so good, lately. it just made your heart warm from seeing him being such a positive influence within you.
you hum whilst drying some dishes, drying them down with a towel while bill takes the dried plates and puts them away, finishing up with your cleaning and with bill putting the last plate away, you smile at him.
"thank you again billy, you've been such a good help, taking such a load off my back."
bill coughs. his yellow color turning red just underneath his eye like blush. his eye averts you, trying to brush it off.
"i'm so good aren't i? the best. you couldn't even think of someone better!"
"mhm, always the best, sweetheart. so good for mommy."
there's something about the way a shiver creeps all the way across bill's body that feels so unreal, even for him. there's a slight, glitched gasp that emits from him at the word 'mommy' that he doesn't seem to register the effect it also has on his body.
bill feels himself heating up considerably fast, a low whine floating through his (non-existent??) mouth. it's not long before you feel him attach himself closer to you, whispering (almost in embarassment) for you to keep talking, just, keep talking.
so you do. "awwh, mommy made you all flustered, billy? so cute. maybe there's a way to make you even more red than you are now."
bill won't admit this (atleast not in this very moment) but he can't deny the pleasure that soars through him that causes his legs to twitch and shake.
he's breathing really heavy now, his eye half-lidded and solely focused on you. watching the way you smile, how your lips curve, that sensual look in your eyes, the way how your body is positioned, just looking down at him like that. (he's in love with it, infatuated, even.)
so when you bend down, pick up his slightly trembling form, and start planting kisses all over him, smearing your lipstick across his body, he can't bring himself to formulate words. let alone a sentence.
he feels the way your lipstick-stained lips glide across his body, the whispers and promises you tell him, the swipe of your tongue and drag of your teeth over his more sensitive zones. oh-ho-ho, he's done for.
"what do you think, billy? should we go back to our room and finish this there? mommy has so much planned with you.."
bill has never made a deal so fast in his life.
(...AAAAAAAA IM SO SORRY IF THIS IS BAD OR SOMETHING, I DIDNT REALLY KNOW WHERE I WAS GOING WITH THIS BUT I HOPE ITS OKAY TO READ IT!! LOVE YOUUU FOR LETTING ME RANT, LEMME KNOW IF ITS ANNOYING, THANK YOU!!)
NO ANON DW DON'T STOP TALKING AND YES IM OKAY WITH IT, I WOULD BE HAPPY TO HEAR YOUR IDEAS BECAUSE IM OBSESSED WITH IT TOO
YOU JUST GAVE ME A WHOLE FIC AND NOW I AM LOVING YOUR MIND. HIM HELPING US WITH HOUSE CHORES AND HOW IN CHARACTER THIS IS?
'aren't i the best' PROCEEDS TO BE A MESS WHEN WE CALL HIM SWEETHEART AND THANK HIM FOR EVERYTHING
I WOULD PUT ON LIPSTICK JUST TO KISS HIM UGGHHHH to see it on his body no matter the shape or if he's even human, im soooo down bad for him that i would do the triangle without hesitation
looking down at him, chuckling to myself to his whines and how each 'mommy' coming out of my lips gets cipher more worked up 😞😞 manifesting this
THE DRAG OF TEETH OHHHH YOURE COOKING ANON I DO HAVE SO MUCH TO DO TO HIM, NOT WRONG IN THAT
NOT BAD ANON YOUR WRITING IS MMHH GOOD, I ATE THIS ALL UP LIKE THE MOST DELICIOUS MEAL I HAD IN WEEKS BCZ NOT MANY PEOPLE TALK ABOUT THIS, I MYSELF NEVER SAW IT
not annoying also anon! you're welcome to come and rant in my asks whenever you want to!

Hi, do you mind if I pick your brain about the pro/antiship thing? I'd like to check first because it's a dumpster fire of a controversy in fandom spaces and I'd 100% understand not wanting to touch it with a ten-foot pole. But also cuz it mentions somethin triggering+disturbing.I've always wondered what another person might think but I usually try to stay miles away from fandom drama, but you seem like, not chronically online about it
lmaoo thank you, i try to make my blog a chill, safe space to come to despite me being. Not chill about anything ever 😅
so here’s the definition of each that i added to the poll:
Proshippers argue that shipping is all fictional, so there is no harm in shipping characters who shouldn’t be together in real life. Anti-shippers argue that fiction reflects and influences real-world beliefs and behaviors, so fans shouldn’t romanticize unhealthy relationships. You can be proship and not ship any problematic ships, or vice versa.
i got these definitions, with my own addition at the end, from a Reddit thread you might find helpful.
so i’ve been in fandom for many years, and up until around 2022 i was mostly what would be considered an anti-shipper.
within the (*gags*) sanders sides fandom, there was a ship called remrom. this was the ship between the characters roman and remus, canonically twin brothers. i never shipped it, not my thing, and it caused a lot of division in the fandom. people would often put on their wattpad (yeahhh wattpad era babey) profiles & even their fics “dni & leave if you ship remrom, go die” etc. i don’t think i put that on my own fics, but i was hostile & blocked people i found shipping it. because how could you ship twin brothers, that’s disgusting!!1!
…the funny thing about sanders sides, though, is that all of the characters represent fragments of one guy’s personality. roman is his creativity, remus is his dark!creativity, etc. the fandom shipped many other pairings with the (non-related) characters, the most popular being Roman and Virgil (anxiety). (Yes this is causing me physical pain to type out thanks for asking 🧍). so all that exposition aside…we were all shipping selfcest. and in a way, is selfcest any worse than incest? i suppose that’s subjective, but it just goes to show a bit of hypocrisy.
i also shipped some “problematic” pairings over the years, but changed them up to be “non-problematic”. for example, i had a billdip fic in which i made bill bodily 15 to match dipper & had him turn magically human (does this make the ship entirely non-problematic? hell no lmao, but as is the way of 15-year-old rose)
so that aside, i joined tumblr in 2022, in the cobra kai fandom. there’s a ship in the cobra kai fandom called silverusso, a ship between an insane(ly hot? don’t look at me 🫣) karate instructor named silver and the main character, daniel larusso. this ship is extremelyyy toxic on several levels. for one, daniel is freshly 18, while silver is assumed to be in his 30s(?) during karate kid 3 (please watch karate kid 3 but also be sure you’re sober when doing so because the movie is a trip, lol). for another, silver essentially seduces daniel into devolving into a violent robot, primed for silver’s command & corruption.
now for me…i’m not going to get into the details because i don’t want to, but i had experienced trauma somewhat related to the silverusso dynamic the previous year (only with minimal karate, lol). even three years later, i am still impacted by said trauma in small ways. i was honestly insulted by people shipping this ship, because it felt like they didn’t care about victims & were romanticizing and sexualizing situations i was having nightmares about.
that is, until i made some friends in the fandom. i bonded with them on our common interests, and then i got to see a bit more into the silverusso shippers’ heads rather than the horrible things i was hearing about them from others. i learned that they really weren’t that bad people at all, all well-intentioned & respectful of boundaries. some of them were even victims of trauma similar to my own, who used darkfic as a place to vent their emotions. considering i had told very few people of what happened, considering no one really understood, i felt safe.
not to plug, but this is a fic i wrote sort of in that space lol
so anyways, i learned more & more about proshipping ways, profiction, anti-harassment, & anti-censorship. i adopted the take that fiction can be a good place to explore complex emotions or even just compelling ideas.
(because you do not need to be traumatized to be interested in darkfic! in fact, the anti-ship take of “darkfic is okay if you’re recovering from trauma” is often harmful to victims, forcing them to out themselves for a stranger to judge if they’re “traumatized enough” to be “allowed” write darkfic. people should be free to write whatever with no explanation, just respect to others & proper tags/warnings).
i would like to think that the anti-ship ideals are in the best interest of others. they often do speak from a place of wanting to respect trauma victims (even if the hate messages they’ve sent me aren’t very respectful, lol). i can see how easy it is to be swept up into the moral quandary of it all because i’ve been there. in fact, if i saw trauma victims who were anti-shippers today, who felt the same resentment i did in 2022, i would feel sympathy for them and wish them the best in their recovery. darkfic has definitely helped me, though it is not for everyone. (though to those people i would also recommend they block bothersome tags and try to clear it from their mind).
i do wish people would approach actual proshippers to ask the way you are right now, anon. i think the spread of misinformation on how “being proship = shipping only problematic pairings” or god forbid “being proship = being a pedo” means a lot of well-meaning people obviously are disgusted and don’t bother to seek out the actual meaning of the term.
you don’t have to ship problematic parings or like darkfic to be considered proship. in fact, a lot of my mutuals here only like fluff & traditionally “healthy” pairings, but they support people’s right to ship and write whatever they want, provided it stays in its properly tagged lane. it’s just important to not push for censorship on sites like ao3 (one of the last safe spaces for every kind of fanfic), as well as not harass anyone in fandom for what they do with fiction. it’s not proper fandom etiquette, and it’s not a good thing to do.
fictional characters are dolls. real people are real, as are their feelings.
one last thing
i hope all of that answered your question, anon, and feel free to return with any more questions you might have 💌

I appreciate most of your takes but don't understand how you look at a character like livewire, a character created in the middle of a 90's feminist movement and come to the conclusion she's supposed to a be a caricature of classical racist conservatism
?? huh is this an elaborate joke I'm missing out on?? Like you're roleplaying as a Shockateer? There's no tone indicators so I'm left to my own perception that you're being serious so I'll have to respond in seriousness. I'm gonna be so embarrassed if this is a joke :(((
So...just because a character is made "in the middle of the 90's" or "feminist movement" doesn't...mean they're a feminist character? Like with that logic, Tana Moon is a feminist icon I guess. Also "caricature of classical racist conservatism"? man, I kinda envy how people think the way I write her is Cartoony Evil Racism and not a toned down depiction of how personalities like Posie Parker, Matt Walsh, and Blaire White talk. I suppose I'm glad you haven't encountered anyone that awful. Good for you! 👍
Livewire meta under the cut fellas
I feel like you don't have a very holistic view of Livewire's character. Because while yes, she has been used for feminist critique in the show and comics, that's not all there is to her character. My take on Livewire is a commentary on how white womanhood intersects with parasocial internet grifts and the larger way identity gets filtered online. It's a take influenced by how she literally started out as a controversial provocative shock jock in STAS.
Tumblr media
There's so much potential to re-imagine her hatred of Superman as a commentary on how white women feel justified in harassing marginalized men because it looks like a punch-up to misogyny. The way she uses the accident Superman caused as a way to white-woman-victimize herself and prime her audience to hate him more. You can take the spinoff comic where she only lets women speak on the air as her presenting a black and white, non-intersectional view of social progress. Kind of like how TERFs keep fantasizing about a world without men as a utopia? In CW Supergirl, Livewire plays into internalized misogyny and homophobia to jab at Supergirl. Not showing up for her fellow women if you ask me.
Tumblr media
Because while yes, Leslie has been shown to be a character who had to deal with sexism, she's also a really compelling narrative for an imperfect victim. Just because a character deals with sexist hardship, doesn't mean it makes her a feminist ideal y'know? Leslie lashes out and weaponizes her victimhood, she uses her audience to bully others.
Tumblr media
I think one of the flaws to the longevity of her character as a villain is because her narrow hatred of Supes makes her themes short lived. So I really want to expand it through Satoshi Kon-style deconstruction of how people juggle having multiple identities in the modern era. In the (bleh) Batgirl Burnside comic Livewire shows up in, she returns as a being of energy who doesn't remember who she was before. In STAS, it's left ambiguous whether she actually believes what she says about Superman or if it's all part of an act that "pays the bills!".
Tumblr media
Imagine the opportunity to make it so she pieced together a sense of self from the fractured way her audience viewed her! What a great way to talk about how parasocial relationships make us think we know a person from the bombastic way they present themselves (Casually Comics thought of this brilliant take). DCSHG has been the most competent reimagining of Livewire. A perfect update of her shock jock origins into the internet era that revitalizes her attention-seeking traits into the clout-chasing grind of social media personality.
Tumblr media
All this to say, Livewire's way more that just "sassy woman on the radio fighting against The Man!" I think making her a punk appropriating, rebellious, internet personality who uses her privilege to marginalize others for clout and money is a natural, more political progression of what DCSHG built with her character.
I don't really understand how you can look at a character whose most prominent iterations involve her bullying and targeting people (including other women) and tell me she's "feminist" unless you actually believe in Leslie's version of White Woman Girl Power. Any kind of "feminism" that touts Hating Men as a major point should be something to be critical of.

Ugly Ass Man
Finally got around to making a human design for Bill, main idea is that he tried to build a meat suit while working on a way to rig the reincarnation system, managed to get spit out back on earth but the skin suit he made got a bit fucked up on the way over and is slowly being influenced by Bill’s suppressed powers while inside said meatsuit
The cracks and gray hairs are from his own form leaking through while the burns are from the trip over like most everything else scarred up (except for the eye, he just never put in another one)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Also note the color ref is a very rough idea, though for the most part it works alright
Elsewise his hair is much thinner up top and he’s scrawnier cause his body is a fucking mess
Also. Yes. He is infact wearing eyeliner

@azriel23 here it is! sorry for the wait!
1 . i think the fact that felix was able to give an npc so much depth is v impressive, and he has so much swag. he’s a coward in battle and very emotionally open and just kind of helpful and kind, and i feel like in an environment like in the bellowing wilds, those traits would be overplayed and downplayed respectively, which makes him feel like a “”less useful”” person, which gives him issues surrounding his worth which he later takes the time to resolve (most mentally stable fools gold group member) and then later helps masika. aghh. i think the trans ohio jack hc is also cool
4 . old kind of pulp novel that’s the size of a hand that kind of rips off indiana jones but once u read it u have a transcendent life experience cuz the author’s worldbuilding is fantastic. basically the marrying of the indy jones aesthetic and dnd. i think it would kick ass, especially if u give every1 their respective aesthetic.
9 . i feel like this man’s politeness caused by his anxiety mixed with his overall laziness would make for a,,, very confusing combo? like i’d trust him to organize the fridge and help me w work, but i dunno if he could efficiently clean up his messes, but he’d def keep to himself and his side of the apartment. yes, i’d def room w this guy cuz he’s atleast polite about it and he has good vibes.
12 . earlier, i mentioned the trans ohio jack hc, which i think is good and fun, but the thing with xanu where he just,, pushed jack along in finding the foreclaimers for god knows how long keeps nagging at me. like,,, do you think jack felt like a fish out of water once xanu’s influence was removed? i would if my “”life’s purpose”” was just taken out via my abdomen. anyway i think offscreen erina brews jack’s testosterone cypionate and doesn’t bill him for it.
23 . uhhhhh this one from ep. 4. no reason other than vibes and the fact his expression is comical
Tumblr media
summary: he’s a fungi (get it. fun guy) and i hope when the full dating sim releases people speedrun romancing him. for fun.

My Hero Academia: The Movie You’re Next & World Heroes’ Mission Review
Tumblr media
I went to see MHA : You’re Next and just got out of the cinema. Today is the first day of its release where I live. I’ve been meaning to write a review of the most recent theatrical release (‘Movie’ from here on), World Heroes’ Mission for a while, so I guess I’ll combine them together here.
Before going into the review, I’d like to first outline the structure of a typical movie adaptation of major action Anime franchises (e.g. One Piece, Bleach, Naruto etc.) These adaptations follow similar patterns : there is an Incident, which is caused by Movie!Villains, and which somehow involves Movie!Allies. The main cast, usually the Lead Character, will team up with Movie!Allies to defeat Movie!Villains in order to restore peace. Usually, these adapted universes will not have an impact canon timeline, but can occur as a result of canonical events. It is important to note that the seiyuus behind Movie!Villains and Movie!Allies significantly influenced the plot, namely the nature of the Incident. It is also my personal theory that the production companies created the Movie around whichever seiyuus/celebrities were rising in their career at the moment, since they are the major factor in the success of its release.
For someone who prides myself in being a lover of adaptations, I will say this : all theatrical adaptations are boring because they are predictable. They obsessively follow this same structure without deviation. Any creativity was limited within these frames. I wish the production companies would come up with a new pattern already. The only entertaining factor then, for me, is how the plot evolves within these constraints.
Thus, I’ll analyse these 2 Movies based on the portrayals of the following elements : 1) Movie!Villains & Movie!Allies ; 2) the recurring cast and 3) the Incident.
Should I even put a spoiler alert tag? I mean, we all know how it ends. But well, for etiquette’s sake, here it is : SPOILERS BELOW.
Movie!Villains & Movie!Allies
WHM :
Ally - Rody (CV : Yoshizawa Ryo. Yes, the actor),
Villain - I forgot his name (CV : Nakai Kazuya. That’s Zoro and Hijikata-san for you.)
YN :
Allies - Giulio (CV: Miyano Mamoru) & Anna (CV: Nukumi Meru. Who is this girl, I’ve never heard of her before?)
Villain - Dark Might - (CV : Miyake Kenta, also the voice of All Might)
YN is a typical love story with a happy ending. I understand why they cast Mamo. When I first saw the announcement, I even went ‘Wow!… but why Mamo?’. Mamo gave his Tokiya-type performance, namely the cold yandere character. It’s not bad, of course. It’s just what you’d expect of Mamo. However, it didn’t really add any value either. Any newcomers could have done an equally good job (for the billing of fewer zeros as well, I’d assume). Maybe they cast Mamo only for promotional purposes? I don't think that's the case though, considering the popularity of the existing cast... The casting for the female Ally, however, was a very interesting choice. Apparently she’s a rising model and talent. I quite enjoyed her performance. She brought something fresh to the performance of household names. I did feel fed up with the damsel in distress plot though, and I wish she’d have more lines. Such a waste of potential. As for Dark Might, I kind of understand if what they were trying to do was make homage to Miyake Kenta. But wait, he wasn’t that senior in the Japanese show biz either… I don’t know, now.
WHM was probably one of my most favourite theatrical adaptations across franchises in recent years, mostly because of the casting of Yoshizawa Ryo. I’m a big Ryo fan, sue me. I think the casting choice was very interesting. One of rare celebrity casting in Movie history. And a very successful one at that, I’d say. Rody has remained one of the well-loved non-canon characters by fans even to this date, judging from fan engagements on Pixiv and other media. Bones really made the right move with this casting, honestly. Which was why I was a bit surprised when they went back to casting a big-name seiyuu like Mamo for WHM’s successor. They could have done better… Or maybe that was why they cast the model girl? Anyways… Rody’s character was very fun, and I think it fit Ryo’s acting. And when Rody’s quirk was revealed, I was like, now that’s awesome! More on this under ‘the Incident’.
Nakai-san’s casting was more likely an honorary role, I think. He didn’t degrade nor improve the villain character. I only recognized his voice upon my rewatch, though. Maybe I hadn't been paying enough attention? But I have to say, this Nakai villain was really hard to defeat. Or maybe because Izuku was up against him alone? When Dark Might was defeated by Izuku, Shoto and Bakugo, I was like, that’s it? Why was he so easy to defeat? Nakai-san took like hours to go down.
The recurring cast
I suppose there is no need to list them out here — we already know them.
So in both YN and WHM, the spotlight was mainly on Izuku, which was typical of Movie adaptations. I have to say that I enjoyed his interaction with Rody more than Giulio though. Maybe because of the road trip, which was very gay? I have to say I really enjoyed the Portuguese setting in WHM more than the Italian setting in YN, as well (also me: currently living in Paris). And I liked how they sequenced the battle cuts for Bakugo and Shoto in WHM. Their fights were very passionate, even if the big three didn’t manage to get to fight alongside one another. In YN, it was just Shoto mostly getting pulled around by Izuku’s Black Whip. Like, Shoto baby, what’s going on!? Get your shit together already! Just kidding. I love you my baby Shoto. Also, I like how Endeavour, being the No.1 hero, had stepped up and took the wheel in WHM. In YN he was mostly delegated to supporting All Might and the mission.
One thing has been bugging me: what happen to Be-san in these Movies!? Bones, what on earth is going on? Why didn’t you let Eraserhead say a line at least!? In WHM, even Present Mic (CV: Yoshino) managed to get 1 line in. Be-san didn’t appear in any of these Movies. Although Be-san is not my main, I’d really like to understand why.
The Incident
WHM : some guy (CV: Nakai Kazuya) decided to terrorize the world with science. Honestly I already forgot the plot.
YN : some Italian mafia guy who was obsessed with All Might decided to become him (‘Dark Might’) and terrorize the world.
To be honest, the Incidents are very insignificant. They’re interchangeable and just something that brings elements #1 and #2 together. The last Incident in recent theatrical adaptations that left an impression on me was One Piece Film Red. I really liked how they confronted Shank’s daughter to the recurring cast. However, the execution was mediocre. So as a theatrical release, OP Film Red was more or less on par with the rest of any Movie adaptations, that is, unmemorable. But I digress here.
In YN, there’s this girl Anna, who had Quirk-enhancement quirk. She was usually together with her butler Giulio, who got recruited because he had Quirk-suppression quirk. (Ah, a match made in heaven…) Somehow she got abducted by this random mafia guy who had Alchemy quirk, and who intended to use her as amplifier for him and his army. The mafia guy used her power and transformed himself into Dark Might. The Good Guys™ managed to rescue her eventually, thanks to the help of our recurring cast. In the end, Anna and Giulio both lost their quirks (I think?), but decided to stick together anyways.
Now, my only gripe about this is: they could have embellished several aspects of this Movie. For example, they could have made it an outright love story. Since it is a love story, after all. Giulio’s prosthetics were another thing they could have worked with more. I really liked the imagery of Giulio, who had lost so much, but who still dragged his semi-handicapped body to go after Anna. And Anna shouldn’t have been reduced to a typical damsel in distress waiting to be rescued either. Give her more agency, man! She really had cute design and promising voice actress. The assets were all there.
Also, there was the question of the clash of ideologies. Our main three each managed to get a line in on this subject, but the film could have expanded on this further. That said, I found a lot of similarities between Dark Might and Movie!Villain in One Piece Film Gold (what’s his name again? Grand Tresoro?) Wait — I went and looked him up. Couldn’t believe that the voice of Gild Tesoro was Sakurai, what on earth… — their design, motivations, and goals were very similar. They even used gold coins as weapons. Giulio and Anna didn’t have anything to say about this ideological clash either. Did it not concern them, their living in Italy and not Japan? Theirs was a personal struggle, which had nothing really to do with the Incident, except Anna happening to possess the quirk that Dark Might needed.
As for WHM — a shameful waste of potential. Bones had created truly awesome Ally and Villain in Rody and Nakai-san. But the way they told the story kind of ruined it. Rody and Nakai-Villain were polar opposites, a mirror image of each other. The Villain — whose name I couldn’t be bothered to look up. I only remember that he had blue face — was born with a quirk that repelled everything around him. His quirk was also autonomous, meaning he couldn’t turn it off no matter what he tried… As a result, he couldn’t receive hugs and kind touches from his loved ones, among other things, which made him a bit psychotic. As such, he felt isolated from the rest of the world, and ended up wanting to dominate it. As his polar opposite, Rody was born with a quirk that he was understandbly ashamed of and a quite useless one at that… the bird Pino, which would always express his true emotions. Like the Villain’s, his was similarly autonomous. The nature of Rody’s quirk was revealed towards the end of the Movie, in a cut where Izuku reminisced and said something along the line of ‘Isn’t it amazing, your quirk being not being able to lie?’ Along with this revelation, the Villain’s origin story was also shown. Both the Ally and the Villain had quirks which they had no control over. It also raised the following question : would they rather not have quirks at all, than to have the quirks that they were born with? It was Izuku who broke through their walls and made them appreciate what they had, in one way or another. And the most meaningful thing was the fact that Izuku, the one who led them towards the answer, was quirkless to begin with. I called it a shameful waste of potential, because the studio could have confronted Rody against the Villain directly and highlighted these problematics. That said, Rody remained my favourite Moive!Ally of all times. Firstly, because of Ryo. But most importantly: in a world where most people are born with special abilities, capable of amazing things, you alone are not being able to lie and have to live with this fact. Isn't that beautiful?
WHM had so much potentials. It could have turned out better, more memorable, becoming a breakthrough even, if not for its structural contraints. However, Bones did what they could within these limitations, and still managed to deliver something captivating. After seeing YN, I’m quite relieved that it didn’t manage to top WHM (at least for me), but also disappointed, that the studio went back to their preconceived formula again. To conclude, YN was just your average shonen theatrical adaptation, no more, no less.

hey! i'm planning on writing a lol vampire au heavily inspired by castlevania and i want nilah as one of the protagonist monster hunters, but i have very little idea on how to write her. there are veeeery few good nilah fics (and i found only one that was nilah-centric) so i dont have much fan material to base myself on.
i find nilah really hard to write because we don't know a lot about her prior to ashlesh and writing a character that only feels ona emotion is a challenge. i still intend on making ashlesh and their deal a thing (although not necessarily as extreme as the runeterra version) but I really wanted to hear from the greatest nilah expert out there. do you have any tips/suggestions? what are things you feel are missing in most nilah fanworks?
i always wanted to make an overall guide on how to write nilah, but never felt comfortable in doing so, but hey now i have an excuse!! thanks frend
first i want to say that most of fanfics out there are fine and there are even some of them i like a lot despite not agreeing the way they write nilah (i guess that's what we call creative freedom lol), and nonetheless im very grateful for people picking her to write about
that said, yes you are totally right, nilah is hella difficult to write, like god level difficulty, because not only you have to know nilah, but if you're going to write her having any interaction with another character you have to know that character too (more than superficial knowledge); for example, nilah often refers to another people by their *full name* or titles, so it's something you have to keep in mind (the only exception i can imagine to this is if she's faking not knowing something for the sake of a higher objective that cannot be achieved by the use of brute force)
nilah unending happiness might sound like a big problem, but it has to be one of the most chill parts of her character; usually people tend to focus too much on the happy side of the thing, and in fact she doesn't work like this!
nilah is happy all the time yes, but it works more like a feeling of excitement than of genuine happiness, and the thing is: nilah feels other things too. well, she doesn't feel them literally, but she *believes* she feels them, it's her human part rationally thinking and mentally pointing "oh now i should feel anger" "now it's a moment of sorrow" and the moment the thought leads to a feeling, it is immediately cut by her curse
Tumblr media Tumblr media
nilah lives by her principles and values inherited from her human part and past, and that's what she uses to guide her. all her feelings are suppressed by ashlesh, so she has to rely on her logic, basically
Tumblr media
the demon's influence feels much like a grasp; it feels like its hands tightly holds nilah's head; ashlesh is oppressive, he's always watching her... and she still keeps him in control through her rituals and meditations (and even with her intelligence)
people overlook this one too, but nilah is very smart and cunning; years of reading made her a walking encyclopedia, and her tongue can be as sharp as her urumi, BUT her spiritual training with the seventh layer order also made her mindful and sensible: she's smart, but she'll only use knowledge for good; she's cunning, but she won't be if unnecessary or for personal gain.
she weighs the consequences of her actions especially when interacting with other people (which brings me to another point that nilah navigates interaction by social cues, she guesses the pattern and goes by it cause 1) she only feels joy and 2) she's contacting another cultures and lands, so it's kinda of a process of trial and error)
also, if i may say, the impression "an intimate evening at oyster bill's" gives about nilah is that she can read intentions very clearly (probably an ability she got from ashlesh), she may not know why people act the way they do, but she knows when someone is lying or being honest (or threatening her)
with these explanations in mind, here's a quick guide by topics to follow when writing nilah
INTERACTIONS
she's very reserved about herself and her past - even when writing her paired with someone, i dont think she would talk about herself, her past is forgotten and she lost herself to joy, remember that
she's moderate when speaking - if you're going to make her sound happy, do it with balance, the only moment she sounds exceptionally happy and excited is in battle
she's not emotional (logically) - she wont act "in the heat of the moment", as i said, she's thoughtful with her actions
ashlesh also "interacts" with other people - tho of what we have been presented so far makes him looks mysterious, here i believe people SHOULD flex, go for your imagination
INNER THOUGHTS
if you feel like really writing her PoV, try to follow that idea of the logical thinking i explained above and keep it short and objective
you can also describe ashlesh's influence for that emotional seasoning (as i explained above)
but (and it's my personal favorite) you can also totally avoid diving into nilah's PoV for that mystery flavor that works so well with her - no one understands her and trying to do so can create interesting settings
MANNERISMS
she always uses people full names or titles - and in this case using titles when not sure about the characters full names can help, but i advise not overuse it
whenever nilah speaks with someone, insert small mentions of recitations during the interaction - with parsimony, the better use of it happens as a tool to drive conversations; nilah can use it to avoid a question, change topics or end conversations (and the inverse can happens too!!), be creative when use it and be sure to include meaningful conversations/interaction between her lil' recitations
nilah make use of mudras, hand gestures - they can be widely used to be honest (it's more frequent when she do recitations/meditates), but you can also make creative use of it (e.g. she inserts signs in the middle of the mudras to sneakily pass a message)
DON'Ts (personal opinion)
avoid making her childish like the hell
dont make her have the joker smile all the time please please please
she doesnt laugh at everything
this one is veryyy particular of me, but nilah wont go out there mentioning ashlesh name or saying things like "this is ashlesh the lord of joy, one of the ten kings, demon of the seventh layer and i control it blah blah blah" - even if she's asked directly i doubt she would give a full answer, AGAIN she's thoughtful and objective, she wont go out there giving this kind of information for free, avoid this
i think these are my main points, ofc dont let them hold yourself on some idea, i really dont wanna hurt any creative thought by somehow "imposing" my views
something that i always have in mind is that everyone is writing nilah's epic somehow, and i believe nilah would like to see everyone's thoughts about her turning into stories
thanks so much for the ask, and sorry for the delay (and maybe i wrote it too big lol), if you have another questions please it will be a pleasure to answer them ^u^

Having a really terrible time rn so I'm here to distract myself with thinking about your stormchaser au because my job training today had us do 3 separate "severe weather" information and response trainings.
Anyways I've been thinking a lot about the implications and consequences of a head injury severe enough to give amnesia and I think this was a plot point and not supposed to be like something backed up by giving Ford medically accurate symptoms and disabilities but that's what happens when you're a disabled gravity falls fan in the medical field.
So a severe traumatic brain injury on that level is gonna have some things that are what you'd expect (vision changes, delayed reactions and confusion, issues with decision making and starting tasks and all that fun executive function stuff long term as well...) but also a common symptom, especially if there's damage to the right hemisphere in general, is impulsiveness as well as personality and mood changes just being a thing.
And I imagine for a while after he wakes up and is treated and even after he's released from the hospital and staying with Jack that's really tough - because I imagine at checkups they're gonna ask repeatedly if there's been any significant changes to his mood, functioning, abilities, and "Bill" and Jack have no clue at all. They have no idea who he was and if it's different.
So when Stan and Ford reunite I imagine it's a relief in you can tell me who I was kind of way but also hard bc Stan definitely sees that Ford's changed. Significantly. But is it because of time? Is it because of new influences? Is it because he didn't know who he was so he became someone different? Or is it a fucking symptom?
I got ahead of myself this ask was supposed to be about imagine "Bill" and Jack going to the grocery store soon after Bill gets out of the hospital and is convinced yes he actually should stay with Jack for the time being and they have a grocery list but Ford/Bill is putting pretty much everything in the cart because he's having a really hard time with impulse control and 20 bananas is not excessive we could need them what if I wake up feeling like eating 20 bananas and Jacks like. This man's a mess. Compels me though
Aaaaaaaaaa Anon I loved getting this monster beast of an ask, esp because I myself have also been Going Through It this week.
What you were saying about the personality change and the doctors asking if "Bill's" personality changed after the accident and neither Jack nor "Bill" knowing how to answer it, that's something that I've actually addressed in a different AU. Because I am a hoarder of AUs and I have one where STAN lost his memory in an accident and that's something that was brought up in stuff I wrote for it because I am a Scientist and I do my Research.
Anyways
Idk if I've addressed the personality change thing much in Storm Chasers AU (which, btw very glad that my little AU is on your mind, it makes me happy people are thinking about and enjoying my stuff), but I have set that up! At least in my head. The biggest thing: "Bill" is remarkably chill. Like, he's just an easygoing kinda go with the flow type of guy for the most part. He's very sweet and gentle and just sort of accepts things and takes life slowly. The taking life slowly is partially due to, as you pointed out, some function being lost from the traumatic brain injury, but it's also partially due to said TBI causing a personality change.
Some aspects of the Original Ford do pop up every now and then. He still gets all Researcher Excited about things, particularly the weird and magical things of Gravity Falls. But he has a different perspective than canon Ford. He treats the magical creatures with more respect and viewing them almost as peers. Once he's calmed down from his initial reaction of "omg omg OMG!" Even with his respect for them, many of the magical creatures don't really like Ford, just bc he goes overboard excited with them so much.
Another thing that sticks around, sorta burned into Ford's DNA at this point, is his, ah, "difficult" relationship with his father. When "Bill" and Jack adopt their first son (the Shapeshifter, whom they name Forrest), "Bill" is constantly fretting about whether he'll be a good father or not. He's paranoid and scared and confused and Jack has never seen this side of him. Jack eventually gets "Bill" to calm down by promising that he'll help keep "Bill" in line and let him know if he does anything wrong. And then he says that he won't need to step in at all bc he knows his partner.
(And then a few times Filbrick's parenting shows up and Jack does need to step in.)
Uhhhhhh I got sidetracked just like you lol.
I agree "Bill" has some impulse control issues. Arguably, canon Ford has those already (as does Stan, in some ways, worse than Ford), and those just get dialed up to eleven for "Bill". "Bill" constantly trying to throw things into the shopping cart is just a sign of what is to come. Luckily, Jack has the patient of a saint. Jack also finds "Bill" incredibly attractive, which definitely helps with his tolerance for the odd behaviors lol.

Open To Debate Podcast Latest Episode: Does Giving A S**T Matter?
Tumblr media
The Open To Debate podcast plays a critical role in our society today. Open To Debate is a call to action: All of us should keep an open mind to solve the complex problems we face as individuals and as a nation.
The mission of Open to Debate is to restore critical thinking, facts, reason, and civility to America’s public square. Open to Debate is a platform for intellectually curious and open-minded people to engage with others holding opposing views on complex issues.  The nonpartisan debate series and podcastOpen to Debate is out now with its latest episode, "Does the Effective Altruism Movement Get Giving Right?" Listen HERE
Effective altruism is a philosophical and social movement that encourages people to ask themselves how they can most benefit others and do good through an evidence-based approach to charity. Over the last decade, it has influenced billionaires such as Bill Gates, Dustin Moskovitz, and MacKenzie Scott, and resulted in millions of dollars given to “high-impact charities” annually. However, after philosophical critiques and the downfall of one of effective altruism’s most visible advocates, Sam Bankman-Fried, some thought leaders are questioning whether EA is the best philanthropic model.
Those championing effective altruism praise its methodological framework for ensuring charitable donations and efforts do the most good, based on rigorous analysis and evidence, which is practical and ethically obligatory for achieving the greatest positive impact while considering the needs of all individuals equally. Those challenging effective altruism argue that its focus on quantifiable impacts can neglect hard-to-quantify important causes, such as human rights, social justice, and cultural preservation, which could lead to a narrow understanding of what constitutes a beneficial outcome.
Arguing "YES" is Peter Singer, Co-Founder of the Effective Altruism movement; Author of “The Most Good You Can Do”; Philosopher and Professor of Bioethics at the University Center for Human Values at Princeton University
Arguing "NO" is Alice Crary, Co-Editor of “The Good it Promises, The Harm it Does: Critical Essays on Effective Altruism”; University Distinguished Professor of Philosophy at The New School for Social Research.
Check out Open To Debate. Perhaps you'll have a prejudice exposed or a firmly held belief questioned.

I guess is they'll bring it to their little cities and get their **** kicked again. Already John Reillard is trying to work this angle he says the money is killing us and stupid **** like that and he's gonna be found to be the one doing it and they're gonna go after him. There are a whole bunch of groups trying to get the money out now and they are planning on taking it to their crappy cities. Their cities in their areas associated want to have and bring my husband there and it's gonna be gross and nasty here it already is 'cause they're doing it but this is going to make the situation much worse and they will lose the money and it will be brought here but probably will have a layover at Fort Knox and the Mac proper will try and take over that area. And we're told that they'll have area of influence there. So I'm trying to figure out where the money is from Boston and in Boston and what money that is and what the status is there are several robberies one of them I thought was in Westboro but that was possibly contrived. So we have to pay attention on these things are very important.
Hera
I do know where some of his money is no a lot of it. Know where most of it is. I don't think it's moved at all. That bank in Westboro no matter what you call it that's what they say and his account is registered in Bank of Boston which is Bank of America. And these people are ridiculous. Lunatics but they did the right thing but because of the wrong reasons and now I know what you're saying. Worse and they're probably trying to go after us so now I know how it feels. They're trying to dress money and stuff and it makes it harder on him and that's what the max want what they're not doing is any work at all to make him happy or satiated or comfortable and his armies growing and he knows him. He knows it. There's money in the yard at our house I don't think any of anybody is going to get it out of there and it's near the ravines and the Browns and it's bad money but it's your money and you are using it to go after the max and they stopped it.

maybe i’m coming at this from an irrelevant australian perspective but, no?
the left was not the reason Hillary lost, she quite famously did not court the rust belt votes the party had relied on over the last few elections, which combined with mass voter disenfranchisement of minorities in certain (swing) states also influenced trump’s victory.
also this is important, but hillary won the popular vote, the problem was the electoral college not lack of votes.
and, if “the left” was a large enough group that angering them cost Hillary the election you would think that the safe strategy would be court those votes next time.
the simple truth is that it’s not the fault of the left that Biden is falling in the polls, it’s his insistence in applying and advocating for very very unpopular positions that is causing his lack of support.
the support for, at the very, very least, a general ceasefire in Gaza is high amongst the general population (specifically amongst demographics likely to support dems over repubs) but it is not a position that is held by most dems, and especially not Biden himself who has ignored the calls to support one (and to stop militarily supporting a genocidal state).
also what support for immigrants? Biden just ran multiple campaign stunts mocking trump for not passing as strict border restrictions has he has.
additionally, it wasn’t Biden that helped challenged the various anti-trans, anti-gay bills. it was groups like the ACLU and the various grassroots agencies and activist groups that fought for people like me.
the dems expect minorities to vote for them, dem or bust, but relying on that as a voting strategy means that the dems have no motivation to actually address the systemic issues that affect minority groups (they get window dressing at best) nor is there an incentive to actually address the rising tide of fascism across the U.S (and the rest of the world).
republicans exploit the fears of people in nebulous positions of systemic power to court votes while the democrats exploit the fear of those who the former attempt to oppress, both rely on maintaining that system to court votes, both are in many, many ways the same.
if the problem was just the possibility of trump getting elected, shoot him and be done with it, but you know it’s not. it’s the system that allows a “trump” to exist, and like it or not Biden and 95% of dems are massive supporters of that system.
i want my friends to be safe, but Biden doesn’t promise safety, he dangles it in front of us, telling us that if it weren’t for those dang republicans it would have been fine, promising us that he’ll be able to get it done next time if only we vote for him.
only now they’ve escalated, now it is ‘vote for us otherwise there won’t be a chance for the ‘next time’’ it’s a farce. Biden won't do a fucking thing, but he and his party will happily co-op the hard fought for victories that those on the left made happen all the while acting like working with republicans is a good idea,
literally, the only way forward is not "vote blue no matter what" because that doesn't address the very real possibility of what happens if (or when) the dems move further right. What needs to happen is a complete dismantling and restructuring of the systems at play here, a complete neutering of corporate for-profit news, independent election overseers, dismantling of for-profit social media, removal of donations from campaigning, preferential voting, and that's just the start.
none of that will be done by Biden, it will take the combined efforts of activists, campaigners, protesters, boycotts, and yes, even the dreaded "violent revolutionaries" because as it stands, this system is built on fear.
but even ignoring that, if the dems wanted to insure the people had any trust in them to actually fight back against the republicans maybe they should run a candidate that gives a shit about doing what they campaigned on.

Free Flight Aerobatic Design Considerations
by Wayne Patten
It has long been an observation of mine that many, especially new, model builders are largely influenced by their emotions when it comes to choosing a subject. The airplane that looks really cool or the airplane their grandfather flew in WW II motivates them to proceed. If this is your feeling about model airplanes, then you will be better served by the likes of, say, Guillow’s, Dare Design, Diels Engineering, Dumas, Easy Bilt, etc. or even the plastic scale kits.
While I do have some semi-scale designs in the works, scale authenticity is not conducive to the requirements of free flight aerobatic flying. And, let’s face it, by and far, most real airplanes are not aerobatic. So lacking scale authenticity, what does aerobatic flying have to offer?
Dynamic creative fun. In your back yard or other urban and suburban spaces.
Most of my designs revolve around a six longeron fuselage and a W-truss wing supplemented with a side grain punctured gluing procedure. I did not like the idea of a bunch of square box fuselages, so I added taper to the cross-section profile of most designs. Without the above mentioned gluing procedure, the fuselage cannot be assembled. The slight twist will cause the side frames to separate at the joints. The gluing procedure also improves crash damage resistance. The extra longerons together with the laminated balsa nose block largely eliminated solid object impact damage. The addition of a nylon propeller shaft eliminated bent shafts. I was regularly bending 1/16th, 1.5mm music wire shafts. The stick structure has an added benefit In that a broken component can be stripped of covering and dropped back on the plan to effect sound repairs. This includes the fuselage. A good aerobatic flight does not always allow a gentle landing. These designs shrug off rough landings.
But understand this; while crash damage is a large consideration for a model flying low, fast in the roughest of airs near obstacles, crashes are not the norm. The original prototype has over 100 flights and was retired for posterity, not damage. Free flight aerobatics can be flown as, or more reliably than, traditional endurance free flight. Strong words, no? If we have the intelligence to tune for endurance, it would seem that the same intelligence could be used for other flight modes. Just put assumptions aside.
The stick structure also allows the use of domestic tissue as there are few or no compound curves to deal with. This tissue is said to stronger than the traditional esaki and the color range is ever-changing and quite large. I use and supply each kit with polystyrene sheet to fill in wing tips, cheeks, canopies, etc. It helps round out a basically square design and address those compound curves.
Some may balk at the built-up balsa propeller, but the truth is, once it is glued up, the builder is about 20 or 30 minutes from a finished propeller. An extended snap-blade knife and a curved end sanding block will carve off the “steps” and smooth it into a functional propeller. I let the laminated assembly dry for 2 days due to the deep glue joints. Also, the propeller can be built left or right handed. You islanders are not disregarded! Yes, I tried plastic propellers. The wrong pitch, high speed and rotating mass do not fill the aerobatic bill.
Some designs are from my own imagination, a few will be from scale drawings, and quite a few are coming from old control line (C/L) designs. I am re-interpreting a few of the large gamut of designs from the control line community. They range from cute little puddle-jumpers to sleek jet types and anything in between. For the former think Tiger, Avon Racer, etc, for the latter think USA-1, Sagitta, etc. Nobler, Crossfire, Smousen, Imitation, and Aristokrat are ready for release. Some of the originals were actually profiles, but good profiles, you know.
Some may balk at the lack of clear canopy. The crash-resistant structure is often not accommodating to a clear canopy and it is an expense that would add considerably to the price with little return. Remember the control line designs? Most of them had simulated canopies, i.e. painted on canopies. The artwork or other simulation is the way to go. Besides, you can add your favorite pilot to the design.

Navigating the Terrain of Personal Injury: A Comprehensive Guide for Undocumented Individuals
Tumblr media
Hello, everyone! Today, let's embark on a journey through the complex intersection of personal injury law and immigration status. The central question we're tackling: Can undocumented individuals pursue justice for personal injury?
Unraveling Legal Complexities
Before we dive into this exploration, let's take a leisurely stroll through the legal landscape. Personal injury cases often involve harm caused by someone else's negligence or intentional actions. Now, the pivotal question is – does immigration status influence the pursuit of justice for personal injuries?
Dispelling Common Myths
Myth 1: Undocumented Individuals Lack Rights!
Contrary to popular belief, lacking proper documentation doesn't strip individuals of their rights. The justice system isn't blind to those without the right paperwork. Let's break it down:
Equal Protection Under the Law: The Constitution doesn't discriminate based on citizenship status concerning fundamental rights. Everyone, regardless of immigration status, is entitled to equal protection under the law.
Access to Courts: Courts are generally open to anyone seeking justice, irrespective of immigration status. Yes, undocumented individuals can step into the courtroom.
Myth 2: No Papers, No Case!
You might be wondering, "How can someone not legally in the country sue for personal injury?" Let's debunk that myth:
Legal Rights Are Not Tied to Immigration Status: Personal injury cases hinge on proving fault and damages. Immigration status typically isn't a deciding factor. If someone else caused harm, your legal status doesn't automatically nullify your right to seek compensation.
The Realities
So, can undocumented individuals pursue personal injury cases? Absolutely! Let's delve into the intricacies.
1. Personal Injury Fundamentals
Before we explore immigration status nuances, let's revisit the basics of personal injury cases:
Negligence: Most personal injury cases revolve around negligence, where one party fails to exercise reasonable care, causing harm to another.
Damages: To build a solid case, you must show you suffered actual damages – whether physical injuries, emotional distress, or financial losses.
2. Immigration Status and Personal Injury
Now, here's the meaty part – how does immigration status play into all this?
No One-Size-Fits-All Rule: There's no universal answer. Courts handle these cases individually, focusing on the facts and circumstances surrounding the injury.
Documentation Might Be Required: While immigration status itself may not be a dealbreaker, providing accurate information is crucial. However, lack of proper documentation doesn't automatically mean dismissal.
FAQs - Answering Your Burning Questions!
Q1: Can an undocumented individual file a lawsuit?
Absolutely! Being undocumented doesn't mean forfeiting your right to seek justice if you've been wronged.
Q2: Will my immigration status affect the case outcome?
Possibly, but it's not a make-or-break situation. Courts concentrate on the facts of the personal injury claim rather than immigration status.
Q3: What if I'm injured by another undocumented individual?
Personal injury cases often hinge on proving fault. In this scenario, the immigration status of the responsible party might not be a significant factor.
Q4: Can I claim compensation for medical bills and lost wages?
Yes, you can. If you can establish the other party's negligence caused your injuries, you may be entitled to compensation for medical expenses, lost wages, and more.
