Seinfeld in Republic City
Jerry would be an earth bender. Very particular and precise, doesn't really show his emotions. He's the solid ground that the rest of the characters bounce off.
George is a fire bender. He gets into rages easily. He's also still a bit stuck in his parents' wartime Fire Nation mentalities (he keeps yelling 'We're supposed to be living in a society!' and has internalised homophobia as he tries to deny his attraction to Jerry). George also likes his chicken spicy.
Elaine is a water bender. She's got that trait of alternating between the emotional and heartfelt role and the passionate or angry character, much like Katara (which I like to say is a reflection of how the sea can change from calm to stormy). And I mean, look at her smooth dance moves (sweet fancy Roku).
Kramer is an air bender. This was the easiest to pick because he just floats through life and exists with no clear tethers to the real or physical world. He 100% communicates with the spirits. He was a non-bender from a mixed marriage (his mother was from the Fire Nation) before Harmonic Convergence gave him air bending.
#avatar the last airbender#seinfeld#the bad thing about this idea is that pretty much nothing actually changes except the tech is older and people can control elements#it's really annoying to give characters elements in the war or post-war times because you can't use air benders#unless they're some sort of hidden group that survived#or a descendent of Aang#they're inevitably a non-bender turned air bender#Also while it's fun to do this element to character matching like it's some kind of personality test thing#I admit it's a bit reductive but it's also just 'what element best suits the scenarios they find themselves in'#and which culture best matches they traits they have#like yes a character who grew up in a society obsessed with honour would fly all the way to Ohio just to make a comeback

Can you recommend fanfiction that you personally really like?
Yes! Love this ask. I’ve never made a Zutara fic rec list partially because I’ve read so many wonderful stories over time that I find the prospect daunting!
But there are absolutely certain stories that I have a personal soft spot for, that I return to again and again. And that’s my criteria for what’s included below. This is a sampling of fics that I find myself coming back to, in no particular order. I may come back and add more, because this list is so far from exhaustive. A mix of ratings (marked), so keep that in mind.
Wish I Was the Moon by Like a Dove (T), post-canon: There’s so much that I love about the way this one-shot explores Katara’s character and what she faces post-canon, how she frees herself, strikes out in the world and finds her way home. Her feelings for Zuko, and her inner-conflict around them, are rendered tangibly, both through scene and subtext. A really good example of how an author can show a character’s lack of/journey to self-knowledge without breaking voice.
Refraction by caroes3725 (E), post-canon: When I started reading Zutara fanfic (for me this was in 2020), this was the fic I was looking for—a deep, realistic-to-canon, in-character exploration of how Zutara could unfold after the events of ATLA in a way that gives Katara in particular the arc she deserves. Really well-done development of the Fire Nation court world, well-developed characters, shining dialogue. An amazingly well-worth-it slow burn.
Wildfire by rainstormdragon (E), post-canon: To me this story is kind of a steamy Zutara thesis. The characters are so spot on and alive, their flaws are on full display in a way that feels realistic, and their chemistry is powered by their compatibility—matched in passion and stubbornness, and also in what they want from life. And I think it really gets Aang, too, which is something that can be hard to find in ZK fic. Also really hot, but that's only part of what makes it really shine.
Partners in Learning by evergreenonthehorizon (T), Modern AU: One of the things I love in modern AUs is watching an author weave that invisible string between these characters. Sometimes, it’s by writing narrative arcs that parallel the series, and sometimes it’s by drawing out the personality traits that make the characters both lovable to readers and such a compelling match and watching that spark bloom into flame. This beautifully written story does that so, so well in a really compelling Modern AU setting. Zuko and Katara here are so wonderfully lovable, and it’s a joy to watch them fall for one another, too.
Journeys by Smediterranea (E), Modern AU: In real life, I want to see my friends in relationships with people who can recognize why they’re so particularly amazing. That potential, I think, part of the appeal of ZK as a ship, and that’s part of the special magic of this fic. Watching these two characters get to know one another—really see one another—and fall in love deliciously sweeps the reader up. Plus, really fun, in character cameos from the rest of the Gaang along the way.
Spark, set fire by marijayne (T), Modern AU: literary fanfic, and I mean that in the best way. This story is beautiful and bittersweet, the latter is not often something I seek out in fanfic (where I hide from life), but here it’s gorgeous and worth it. The world building here is really cool—allows the author to explore some of a set of cultural issues/interactions that both echo the ATLA world and ours. The characters are so tenderly drawn (dadko especially)—and the connection between them builds beautifully and tangibly—and the longing is…chef’s kiss.
Wrong when it's right by nire (T), Book 1 Canon Divergence: Before I read this, I couldn't imagine wanting to read a Book 1 Zutara. After, I wanted more. Bickering, bed-roll sharing, shared heat, tenderness and common ground. A delight from start to finish.
Anyway, thanks for asking and happy reading! <3 And if you want more recs, let me know.

Throughout all my life I’ve always been interested in nonhuman creatures. When I was young and my autism was in its rawest form I would often pit the ancient ancestors of animals against their modern equivalent, either in comparison or in battle(I remember doing a Rhino versus Triceratops once). As I grew older, and the internet allowed me to learn of the creatures of horror movies without being horrified, my attention shifted to that of the alien. I loved learning about the Xenomorphs and Predators, or the aliens from A Quiet Place. Recently, however, a new alien species has taken my interest, though not from horror film, but kinky horror fanfiction. I am of course, talking about the Affini from the Human Domestication Guide, created by GlitchyRobo.
The Affini of HDG are such an interesting species. Despite their peace-desiring nature we have to assume they were the top of the food chain wherever they came from. The strength to do what they do is built into their very biology. Super strength, ability to run absurd speeds, even the regeneration—their origins, whatever they are, were NOT peaceful, guaranteed. Not to mention the biological drugs that exist within them that can be used through either their flowers or needles hidden within their vines that can pierce human skin almost unnoticed. Another noteworthy trait is their ability to mimic or exist as different species of plants, like a fern Affini or a rose Affini. This level of adaptation mixed with the usage of drugs suggests that their origins could have been as prey, which would match with our known plants, unable to move from predators and thus evolving traits to deter them. The strength and speed, however, are things I’m not smart enough to explain away. Once they gained them, however—combined with their adaptation and ability to deceive using drugs, they would’ve been near unstoppable, similar to how ancient humans hunted megafauna and old predators such as the Sabertooth to extinction thanks to our newly evolved adaptive nature.
Their personality is curious, however—for a species in Post-Scarcity, I can understand the want and desire to help other aliens, including humans. But the specific pet dynamic they desire seemingly clashes with their message of helping sophonts(universal term for a non-Affini) be the best they can be. It almost seems instinctual, similar to humans and their pack-bonding ability. They desire other species to be at their peak, but refute certain things that don’t align with their idea, such as humans free will to make bad decisions at the cost of others and/or themselves. While modern human morals would agree with not wanting bad things to happen, the moderate to great usage of drugs the Affini are known for is less than acceptable.
The unfortunate fact is, any and all speculation about the Affini’s origins or why they do what they do is unknown. Given their extremely advanced technology and knowledge, it could be difficult to even know if they were a plant based species in the first place, or if becoming immortal through reblooming as vine creatures was a scientific advancement or not.
Granted, I’m analyzing a species from a hypno kink universe, and I shouldn’t expect crazy world building, but it’s just so much fun!
Edit: @arkkaxe has included a link to a site detailing the Affini in the replies, and it has been very helpful!
It appears that the low gravity environment the Affini hail from caused the evolution of prehensile limbs, and the xenodrugs might be related to their pollen from earlier days of reproduction using “beeple.” Speaking of that subject, their use of beeple lead to the cultural urge of master/pet dynamics, which slightly confirms my original belief that the desire felt more instinctual than purposeful.
I’m glad to be so pleasantly surprised at all the lore of this world! I take back what I said about the world building, there’s obviously enough to get its own website!

REVISED SHADOW KNIGHT HEADCANNONS
SHADOW KNIGHTS
◦ Undead Soldiers
CAUSE: Shadow Knights are created two ways, the first being through death. Those who have died can be rejuvenated as a shadow knight in the nether. The second way is through torture - which eventually kills you into a shadow knight. After this, they are left as shadow knights who need to answer the calling, to have their full power. To earn this, they must kill the person they love the most. After this, they are full blown shadow knights who lose their emotions, becoming cold blooded killers.
APPEARANCE: In their human form, Shadow Knights don't shift in appearance changes in the sense of permanent eye color changes or hair - but on more subtle levels. Their motor skills become more effective, faster and more smooth. They also look more attractive, their hair shines and skin glows, they are alluring in appearance. Their posture is straighter and perfect, to the point that it is unnatural. In their shadow knight form, their eyes turn red and their skin gets paler, their veins are darker and stand out, but they still have the attractive glow to them. Their posture is straight and their movements are super fast and strong. Full Shadow Knights have a more intense aura about them and are stronger in every way compared to one who has not transformed all the way.
PERSONALITY: Shadow Knights who have fully turned are known for not having much of a personality. Their emotions are basically shut off and they are very monotone and cold - distant. They indulge in gambling, smoking, anything considered sinful - they're doing it. They're known for being calculated and downright evil. They're extremely feared. Those who haven't fully transformed are on the opposite end of the spectrum. They're emotions are going haywire. They're sad, angry, wreckless. In order to drive them mad enough to kill a lord or someone they love, their emotions are manipulated so one day they'll snap. However, some have been able to take it through meditation and other ancient practices where they're able to match emotions similar to a normal persons.
LOCATION: Shadow Knights mainly reside in the Nether, either because they like it or they're trapped in there. The Nether is a hot dimension with many bars and castles and prisons. There are no standards in the Nether besides gaining power but still respecting the shadow lord. Shadow knights also ate in the above world with everyone else and are known to be in every region to an extent. Many shadow knights live long enough to outlive their villages or kingdoms or even their entire region and culture. They are drawn to places with nether portals.
CULTURE: Shadow Knights do everything for power. They kill whatever is in their path and do whatever the shadow lord asks of them. Shadow Knights live in a society full of ranks, the shadow lord being the top dog. They drink constantly and fight, whether it's bad fights or fights that are watched for fun - like forcing prisons to battle to the death. The nether is a very unhappy place for those who aren't dead inside. Polyamory is quite common in their culture, though they do have a main partner who will always be there for them. Gambling and smoking are common as well. Jobs for those in the nether/on the shadow lord's side include: generals, knights, soldiers, jail guards, scouts, concubines and torturers. Those who aren't full shadow knights do their best to resist this culture and instead hold onto whatever cultural traits are unique to them.
FIGHTING: They will fight anyway and dirty. Swords, spears, sparring, fists, archery.
WEAPONS: a long sword that is red, black and grey is the natural weapon that spawns with them in their shadow knight form. However, they use whatever weapon is the most available.
LORE: Shadow Knights, though usually emotionless, bring out a lot of emotions in humans. Whether it is fear or they're greatest weapon - their aura. Shadow knights have a very inviting aura full of trust and also very attractive, even if not conventionally attractive, they're very alluring. Shadow knights are designed to invite humans into their trap, whether they're trying to or not. They're good in bed ;) shadow knights when they die reincarnate with scars or markings that signify how they died. (Ex - someone who was hanged would have a scar found on their neck or someone who was stabbed would have scars from that) full shadow knights cannot have children and those who haven't fully turned have a very slim chance of reproducing. Those who do reproduce would have a child who is mostly human and would operate like a not fully turned shadow knight. They're the biggest asset or downfall to the village, most villages will kill them if they have a chance and villages with shadow knights are highly respected, especially if they're guards or in a role of power.

I've fallen into a mini-hyperfixation on Zelda.
We never really got to see much of the Twili people in Twilight Princess, so I did a little doodle of the only three Twili citizens we do see.
I have some headcannons of my own for the Twili people:
They are descendants of the Interlopers. To me, the Interlopers were a cult of people from different races and cultures, which is why the similarities between the Twili and other current races and cultures have some similarities.
The small, chubby Twili are actually children. All of the Twili children are small and chubby. Once they mature, their build will shape into their own - tall and thin, shorter and thicker, tall and thick, short and thin, etc. Most of the time, the children will grow into a similar build as one of their parents or will be an in-between.
All Twili posess magic. It's not a Noble trait. That said, it varies with each Twili, and the strongest of the Twili will rule over the Twilight Realm.
Twili have colored irises and scelera. Their eyes are commonly in the warm spectrum of colors, mainly in the red, orange, and yellow range. However, it isn't unheard of to see the odd cool-color eyed Twili about.
Their irises are the color of their Soul Partner's scelera.
The Twili have Soul Partners. It's not always a romantic or positive partnership. Some Soul Partners are destined enemies and some are the best of friends. Some are mentors and some are family. Some have more than one Soul Partner and some have Monochromatic eyes and have no Soul Partner at all. Its a vast spectrum you and your Soul Partner could fall on.
The Twili begin genderless. Again, shadow blob people. As they mature, they might feel themselves settling into one part of the spectrum, and their bodies would develop with them, as such. But most are just shapely shadow-blobs.
Twili have Magical Signatures unique to each person. Their Magic takes the shape of their Sigils on their body, and no one Twili's Sigil will ever match another's. (Like tigers ^-^)
Twili citizens don't have "clothes". Shadow blob people. Dark shadow body parts = clothes. Only the ruling Twili wear clothes.

Tabletop trick or treat! 🦇
hello jade!!
it seems only appropriate for this to be ... a trick!! and treat kinda :) three treats maybe. so everyone lets all go say
happy birthday @hmooncreates
you can check out hollis's itch here for lots of very fun and cool stuff!!
i want to highlight a few of his games even though definitely poke around through the whole library
in want of a match - yall its so fun. its so so fun. ive played it twice now and i cant wait to play again. in iwoam you play as two characters, one looking for their One True Match and one looking for an Opposites Attract. and its ... a dating sim!! you throw all your blorbos in a blender and then they go on silly dates. its a bit of a numbers game where youre trying to roll similarly to the character youre on a date with, and the table decides which traits you roll on your date. we played once with original characters (god they all became such freaks immediately) and then again using blorbos from other ttrpg games, and both were suuuch fun. the character creation is pretty simple but works really well for the game, and then you just put all the blorbos in a jar and shake em up to see what happens. we want to play a third time where we make a roll table of all our characters from other games, roll randomly to see who were playing, and then just let chaos ensue. its not a hard system to pick up at all, great for silly one shots (especially if someone cant make your usual game), and honestly is really flexible with how much roleplay you want to do for it. you can totally roleplay everything out or mostly stick with broad descriptions and just run up those numbers. tons of fun either way. sometimes the characters that end up being great matches numbers wise are like. absolutely hilarious (freak ass lesbians i love you)
for truth's sake series - for truth's sake is a series of games (with a free srd people have made cool stuff on) where you are an anthropologist studying a fantasy culture and writing an ethnography on it. its a medium crunch solo journaling game that has four really cool settings/cultures (urban witches, a werewolf neighborhood, an inn on the border of the feywild, and a high fantasy city) that all have a unique cast of characters, locations, events, and questions you get to ask the inhabitants. all the games are very fun, but i think my best experience with it was playing urban witches when hollis was over at my house and i was narrating my game out loud instead of writing it down. i was rolling SO DOGSHIT and it honestly became a bit of a slapstick comedy of my guy just absolutely whiffing it with this apartment complex of witches. i was weeping i almost lost the game on like. day three. astoundingly bad at talking to these witches. but all of them are very cool and very fun and devs out there should check out the srd too!!! a lot of the groundwork is laid out for you so you just get to make fun roll tables!!!
the fool who got married (extended edition) - this one is a duet+ epistolary game where one player is a young bride moving away with her husband during the 1840s california gold rush, and the other players are female family members whove been left behind. the main mechanic is that you are on a time limit of crane wives and oh hellos songs as you write your letters to each other, with each character archetype getting a different album they have to put on shuffle as they write. i will be totally honest i was NOT sure how this one was gonna play for me but i ended up really really liking it. i chose to play as the aunt and even though i only went through like five songs or something, she ended up being a really dynamic character and also, as is my way, a little nuts. getting into the mindset of these historical women to this modern music was a really interesting experience. so many of the songs like. really tap into female pain and rage in a way that transcends this time gap and really makes you feel for the character youre inhabiting. the lyric prompts under each song are really evocative, and honestly as someone who hates handwriting things because of hand pain the short time limit on the letters was honestly really helpful. this one is definitely niche but like. i really suggest trying it out. it might surprise you like it did me!!
i think hollis's birthday is as good an excuse as any to check out her games, and if you already have & like them, maybe go leave some comments and ratings too!! :D hollis is an up and coming developer and i cant wait to see the next games he has cooking (i know what they are and im chomping at the bit). so go check out!! give a rating!! give a follow!! you wont regret it !!

bbyyyy SOTLK dresses redesign?
These were actually really interesting to work with, both in trying to keep colors and shapes from the original dresses combined with adding my own lore to it! Except for Aisha’s which wounded my so. I really wanted to keep her flowers but I just,, couldn’t get it to look right🥲 I added purple instead tho which is the color of the flower of andros, which is similar in appearance to a Camas Lily. They bloom in lush expansions all along the coast of the land of Androsia, where the mainland and sands meet.
More info on outfits below!
Musa: Tang dynasty influence. Did my best to keep some of the shapes from the og gown. The 2 red dots that I’ve featured a few times in either side of Musa’s mouth in different designs represent loudness and boldness and are commonly used symbols in a lot of melody, which are traits one would want to represent when holding as representation for the different cultures of Melody, proud of their heritage and great unbending will.
Aisha: mentioned some above about the purple additions to be the substitutes for actual flowers. Kept the split down the middle at the dress itself, just changed its length and shape, trying to keep the shape of the original one some with the purple bits below the corset tho
Tried to keep more true greens than teals too. She deserves more sleek satin fits also. Most of the stuff I draw her in I imagine there’s satin I just decided to do shading this time lol
Tecna: I decided before even designing this I wanted to keep that jacket on them at all costs. Happy with the shapes overall here and really love the colors. Probably my favorite of these looks. Shiny pants and silk featured because they look good on them. To me, they aren’t Tecna if they don’t have some weird heels too.
Flora: probably my least favorite design just because I feel like I need to get better at giving them more variety in their outfits, but I did what I could to keep a lot of the shapes present. Instead of those 2 long flower strands, I just had them replaced with the split full of flowers down the side.
Bloom: empire waistlines are very much the norm in Dominion fashion with not as many ruffles or as expanded a gown shape as featured here, but Bloom is new to this and her parents wanted her to be as comfortable as possible for the celebration. Bloom got to have direct input on the adjustments to the dress and is living the princess dream she’s always wanted currently. She intentionally looks a little awakward as a result, the stylists doing what they could to accommodate what she wanted and mesh it with traditional Dominion fashion styles to reiterate that Domino is what she represents. The slightly more formal front hairpiece with the additional 2 gold curls is present to make the statement that Domino is so back and Bloom is even wearing the golden headpiece that the heir wears to show this. It’s not until after the party she learns it was Daphne’s, and that leads to some Insecurities and the reality of what reviving Domino actually means for Bloom. More spirals coming in waves after this point. As always with Dominion garb the cyan gems are for those of the royal family and purples are for those that work with The Dragon Flame.
Stella: by this point in the story, Stella really starts to get more involved with Lunarian stuff and connect with her moon culture. It starts small in her presentation, with certain cuts of cloth (the slope of the fabric on the top part of the skirt) and the style of some of her jewelry, specifically the one with gems that is tilted to match the fabric shape and the incorporation of more blue gems. She also stops straightening her hair all the time (her hair is blonde from her mother, whom is Lunarian, but the saturation comes from her Solarian genetics, making the color look like it’s from Solarian genetics. Straightening it to match the majority of Solarian hair was a sure way to make sure she passed as Solarian until someone notices her pupils, which are Lunarian. She no longer fears if she’s passing or not. She is learning to take pride in her moon side).
Stella choosing to have the little blue gems on the bottom of her gold gem dress bit instead of gold or more orange is a bold move also she is starting her proper journey to doing joint work and advocating properly for systemic change for Lunaria.

4. Mc being bored and embroidering flowers onto any of the RAD classmates clothes
5. Mc making fake horns to match with them (I don’t remember if I asked this before already)
6. Mc putting wigs on odon to do hair style’s on him because they’re worried they might move his bangs and make him uncomfortable
I'm trying my best to reply on time and in a decent way, but I'm slow as hell and I write way too much🙈plus I need a break every now and then from writing😭anyway, since the new exchange students were not mentioned, I assumed you meant only the RAD classmates, so I hope these headcanons are okay✨:
"RAD CLASSMATES WITH A MC WHO EMBROIDERS FLOWERS ON THEIR CLOTHES WHEN BORED"
DEMYA
Demya might find MC's habit peculiar, but who is she to judge, considering that when she gets bored, she eats or munches on a few bones from her most recent meal. Furthermore, in Demya's slightly feral mind, she would see such act as a sign of the fact that she and MC are mates, therefore she would carry those decorations with pride and without shames, to make other people (the demon brothers-) jealous. Demya in turn would also "mark the territory" in her own way, so MC should prepare to be scented like never before or to let her give them hickeys and bites on body parts that can be seen.
DOMNRA/MOBIM
Flowers aren't really Domnra's style, so at first he would be quite pissed by such a habit on MC's part, after all the most he does when he's bored is listening to music, but MC shouldn't fear, because a well-aimed pout and puppy eyes would do the trick, making Domnra grumble and reluctantly go out with those modified clothes, due to being a tsundere however, he would shout at anyone who asks too many questions about the flowers. Domnra's way of returning the gesture would be to offer MC his jacket or hat that he wears every now and then when needed. Mobim, not wearing clothes and not owning any, would be happy to wear whatever MC decides to create and gift it
AZUL
Azul would immediately find MC's trait adorable and would make sure to show off their creative embroideries everywhere and to anyone in Devildom, even to those who don't care, because he's just a proud drama queen showing his genuine appreciation for MC's artwork, he might even commission some requests, such as adding butterflies on the floral designs. Azul's would return the gesture by drawing random stars with a marker on MC's clothes, so they better expect to see some of them looking starry. When Azul is bored, he isn't as productive, he merely floats and sulks around
ZURI
Although embroidering is one of her pastimes and therefore she can understand MC's little hobby first hand, Zuri would prefer to be warned in advance about which clothes MC intends to work on, because being surprised with one of her fine dresses covered in flowers without notice would irritate her quite a bit, so as long as such boundary is respected, Zuri would find the gesture amusing, almost cute. Zuri would return MC's gesture by embroidering smaller designs on their clothes, such as small hearts or messages, even their favorite flower, alternatively Zuri would spray her perfume on their clothes to avoid modifying or damaging them, consent is important after all
ODON
When Odon gets bored, they read tomes or drink a cup of green tea while watching people pass outside through a window, so seeing MC embroidering flowers on their clothes would be something new, but not unwelcome, in a certain sense it would remind Odon of Zuri. Odon would have no problem taking a stroll around Devildom with MC's embroidered flowers on them, no one would dare making fun of them either way and if anyone asked them questions about the embroidery, Odon would explain with a grin how those flowers ended up on their clothes and being very cultured, they would also explain their meaning according to flower language. In return, Odon would let MC be accompanied by their eye-like creatures, since they seem fond of them
"RAD CLASSMATES WITH A MC MAKING FAKE HORNS TO MATCH WITH THEM"
DEMYA
Considering that Demya has a set of small horns, sharp and resistant like the kind of teeth which tear through meat, it would be a bit difficult for MC to recreate them and find a way to get them to stay still on their head, so Demya would appreciate the effort of trying to match with her. That set of multiple horns is also a specific characteristic of her demonic race (faexsaeva), so considering that Demya is its last remaining living specimen, she might get slightly moved by past memories and MC could easily convince Demya to share more details of her old tribe's customs, at their own risk, considering it was made up of quite bloodthirsty demons. Sentimentality aside, Demya would really like to match with MC and would show her enthusiasm by trying to also match in other ways, such as with her tail or more simply with her clothes.
DOMNRA/MOBIM
Domnra's and Mobim's horns aren't too different except in size and consistency, for example Mobim's horns are smoother and blunter, while Domnra's ones are rougher and pointed, but essentially Domnra and Mobim are the same soul splitted in two halves, so they have more in common than it seems and they merge into one being when Domnra transforms into his demon form, which explains his Mobim-like tail. Domnra wouldn't understand the reason behind MC's gesture, but he would find MC's desire to match cool and would comment in passing that they look badass with a pair of horns, especially his own. Domnra would also find it cute, although he wouldn't admit so, to see MC with Mobim's smaller horns, the little curse would agree as well, looking at MC in awe and trying to touch the fake horns
AZUL
Azul's horns and wings are made of will-o'-the-wisp that changes color based on his mood, so MC's work would result more complicated than expected. To try creating something that resembles Azul's horns, perhaps MC could use some light bulbs or neon lights to make them shine bright, whatever the outcome is however, Azul would be impressed by MC's craft and effort in faithfully reproducing his horns. After showering MC's craft with praises and them with affection for the matching horns idea, Azul would point out the fact that with magic, he could have given them a pair of his own identical horns without problem and merely with a snap. MC also wouldn't have to worry about catching fire
ZURI
Zuri's horns are smooth, long and quite shiny, they appear elegant, so recreating them would require precise work, although not excessively elaborate. Zuri, despite being unaware of the motivation behind MC's gesture, would appreciate their craft, impressed, proud even, and would also offer to help them improve the fake horns. If MC's intent is to match, Zuri, in addition to suggesting matching clothes, would also propose wearing horn jewelry together, especially during important events, where MC could show off their abilities, if they feel like it
ODON
Odon's horns are two, joined in a point at the center, sometimes described by others as a small green sun or a ring with studs, in any case they are firm and quite heavy, so when reproducing them, MC should pay attention to the stability of the structure. Odon would find the sight of MC with their horns endearing and would curiously observe their attempt to match, assisting MC in adjusting the fake horns if necessary. Odon would also try to help MC mimic the other arms they have in demon form if they wanted to try
"ODON WITH A MC WHO PUTS WIGS ON THEM TO HAIRSTYLE THEIR HAIR IN A SAFE WAY"
Not gonna lie, Odon would be puzzled as to why MC insists on messing with their hair so much, even going so far as to use wigs to make them feel comfortable, still, as usual, Odon would remain docile and let MC play with their hair or the wigs without any complaints. With their natural hair, the only possible hairstyle for Odon would be pigtails, but MC could take advantage of the fact that Odon, as an eldritch being, is also a shape-shifter and therefore ask them to lengthen their hair to style them with more ease, something that Odon happened to do in the past, during the Middle Ages for example. In general Odon would find MC's caresses soothing, being touchstarved, and would appreciate their attempt to not make them uncomfortable, by taking into consideration their bangs. BLUE LOCK MATCHUP EXCHANGE — @soleilonthesun
Your match is...
— Yukimiya Kenyu
✦ Yes, you can steal Yukimiya.
✦ My dear dumb bunny…
✦ The answer was as clear as day when I read through your info.
✦ (Actually, there was someone else first, but Yukimiya quickly made it obvious who was the right match.)
✦ Who's more perfect for you than our national glasses-wearing model?
✦ No one.
✦ It all really came down to how you described what you dislike in others. That ruled out a lot of people from Blue Lock.
✦ Specifically: "I also don't like toxic, arrogant people or people who are disrespectful to me. I can also say that I don't like people who emotionally manipulate others. Irresponsible, unfriendly, and also insult a lot." Okay, let's just eliminate a few characters right there, Suo, yeah?
✦ I think IRL, Yukimiya is probably ideal for you. He's reliable, responsible, intelligent, knows when to speak up or stay quiet, has nerves of steel, and just the right amount of arrogance to unnerve his opponents. In short, he's a very balanced character.
✦ I believe those who truly know they're good don't need to announce it. That's why Yukimiya is both one of the most discreet and one of the most talented characters on the roster.
✦ He has what it takes to bring a balanced relationship to you. I think your highly creative, scattered, and idealistic nature is a great match for his more measured, thoughtful, and strategic side.
✦ Anyway, I'm convinced a couple should complement each other, not be made of two overly similar people.
✦ "I'm that person who doesn't give up on her dreams even if I break her leg." That's a philosophy Yukimiya would resonate with, in my opinion. In his case, it's his vision, which is his main concern in his pursuit to be world number one. But both of you are die-hard pursuers of your passions, relentless even when life throws what seem like insurmountable obstacles at you. It's a big strength you share.
✦ "I can also be a person who stays at home." I tend to think Yukimiya goes out for obligations and social conventions but is introspective at heart. He likes and needs his moments of peace, of solitude. He understands well the desire to stay in.
✦ In the end, it's funny because you're both complementary but also share common traits, like the frustration you feel if you can't do something exactly the way you want.
✦ "His type is someone who laughs a lot and will always watch over him." I can see you excelling at that. Making him laugh, even when you weren't necessarily joking to start with. Your somewhat hyper, imaginative, and talkative nature brings him regular smiles. I don't see him being the type to constantly ask about your life or to get to know you because he understands that you talk enough that he learns everything without needing to ask. Let's be clear: with other people, that might annoy him. But not with you. In fact, it amuses him.
✦ "He feels happy when someone cheers for him warmly." Dumb bunny, best cheerleader of the year :) I see you attending all his games, even his training sessions, bringing a cool towel or water to refresh him.
✦ "I really like responsible people, with a good personality and education." Yes. That's Yukimiya in a nutshell.
✦ "I also listen to musicals like Phantom of the Opera or Hamilton." I think his tastes are both accessible and refined. With a bit of persuasion, you could easily bring him to musicals or similar events.
✦ "Movies from the 50s, 90s, and 2000s, even 2010s." Same here. Culturally, I don't see him liking just anything but being well-versed in the classics and enjoying watching old black-and-white films. It's kind of his guilty pleasure in the evenings, and he's happy to have found someone who shares this somewhat niche passion.
✦ "His favorite subjects are science, Japanese literature, and PE." I mention this because I know you love to read. To me, Yukimiya is more about documentaries and history, interested in major events and famous figures. From what I've seen of you talking about history, the two of you could have very long conversations. I'm convinced his knowledge of popular culture is extensive. We even know he speaks and understands German, so his knowledge is definitely broad.
✦ "I'm supposed to have the language of communication, assertive words (and that's true) but I also like to touch and hug the people I love with all my heart, or give them thoughtful and detailed gifts for them. I think we all have the language of love. [AND COMMUNICATION TOO] — it's important, and with that I fulfill two more languages like: spending time with my loved ones and helping them if they need help."
✦ I believe the love language that resonates most with Yukimiya is words of affirmation. It's the validation of his quality as a forward on the field. That his disability won't be what stops him from reaching his goal. On his part, I think he'd be good with physical contact. There's always some kind of distance between Yukimiya and others; for the person who matters, I believe he invests himself seriously and long-term. This shows up a lot in affectionate gestures, like holding hands in public or naturally embracing you.
✦ He likes spring, blossoms, ephemeral things. In fact, he loves the beauty of things that don't last, and I can easily picture him watching a landscape while you're busy drawing. The Tsuruoka Spring Festival is a must for you two. It's one of your favorite annual outings.
✦ I glanced at the moodboard you sent me for your appearance. Artist and model couple, basically. And it's funny because you never show what you look like, even with Picrews or artistic representations. There's maybe a part of you that's afraid to show yourself or wants to stay private. I even detect a tendency to go all-in but also a desire to hold back because there's a sense of discomfort somewhere. In other words: there's a fear of commitment.
✦ I'm explaining through the following lines because it all makes sense.
✦ No one has ever sent me their full natal chart before, so I'm taking this chance to highlight details that stood out.
✦ Leo stellium. That's the first thing. A stellium means having more than three planets in the same house: for you, that's the Sun, Lilith, Mercury, and Saturn in your Leo house. These four planets together suggest a solar personality capable of attracting others around you. There's a definite need to be seen and recognized, along with pressure to live up to expectations. There's also a desire to stand out, which shows in your more unique interests.
✦ Neptune and Mars conflict. Mars in Taurus seeks stability and pragmatism, which can clash with your Neptune in Aquarius, tied to idealism and dreams of innovation. This combination has probably led you to escape reality through procrastination many times, with Neptune dulling Mars with its dreams and idealism. Neptune manifests in your life through art, giving form to your ideals and daydreams. Mars brings rationality to your journey, pushing you to advance step by step with caution rather than making a drastic change in pursuit of a dream that's overly embellished.
✦ These two aspects reflect the issue of commitment: "I want to, but at the same time, I don't." It's about finding balance, and that's why these details in your chart seem important to note—they probably represent challenges you experience daily, and after speaking with you at length, I can confirm these hypotheses of ambivalence.
✦ The good news is that Yukimiya is the stable pillar in your life :) It's easier to move forward with a reliable anchor than to wander aimlessly. Yukimiya has a dream, but he's not passive. That's what inspires you and helps you achieve your own goals.
A word about your match: I first thought of Isagi because he's the epitome of a balanced guy who respects everyone. But something was missing. The doubt didn't last, though. Yukimiya quickly took the upper hand in this matchup. Favorite character or not, the truth always wins.

hello! if it’s not a problem, can i ask for some headcanons of sting with a veeeryyy hot headed BF who’s also not a wizard? both sfw and nsfw if that’s okay :)
you’re very good at writing and i love how you portrait all the characters so well
Thank you!!!
Being a wizard and using magic is so normalized around Fiore and especially within Sabertooth that Sting's kind of surprised to meet a guy who doesn't have or use magic, let alone date one.
Hot-headed matches well with Sting, especially if they have that upbeat spark that he's got himself. You guys obviously started out arguing or competing against each other, maybe fighting, and you know how Sting loves to prove himself.
Granted, these traits do match up badly with the fact that Sting near-exclusively hangs out with wizards otherwise. Sting has just enough wherewithal to pull you back if you start trying to beef with Orga or Minerva or some shit, bc without the magic, u ain't Natsu and ain't gettin up if they clap you.
If you aren't a fan of wizards in general or don't keep up with wizard culture, then it ends up kind of refreshing for Sting. It probably tripped him up a bit at first, expecting you to know who he was, illustrious guildmaster of Sabertooth and all, and floored him to hear "who the fuck" back.
He's SO DISAPPOINTED AT FIRST like him boasting about killing dragons has never failed to earn a reaction but pretty soon he gets excited about showing you what being a wizard is like. It's even better if you uno reverse card him and drag him into whatever world you're coming from, be that non-magical guilds or just everyday life where people use electricity and shit.
You two probably met at a gay bar. Bonus points if you were the bartender. Double bonus points if you were the bouncer.
Since Sting is so eager to defend or just fight alongside his man, many fights you'd otherwise struggle with get one-shotted. Which probably irritated you after a while and he was asked to back off. He sulked about it for a week.
Unless you are yourself a high earner by some fashion, odds are Sting is richer than you by a good margin. He is a pretty capable wizard who regularly goes on difficult and high-paying missions, so the good news about that is you get treated often. Anything you want, you get without a second thought, you're pretty spoiled.
Rogue vanishes the second you appear, not because he doesn't like you, but because your energy and Sting's energy put together makes him need a nap very badly.
Sting does his best to hype you up the way he would any boyfriend, and he's good at it, only he sometimes lets people think you're a wizard for the fun of it. He's had a lot of fun lying to people about what kind of magic you use and how it can make people's heads explode or other outlandish tales.
NS/FW:
There are two possible outcomes here: One, you put your money where your mouth is and get Sting in Slut Mode pretty easily with that surefire aggro attitude of yours...or Sting discovers your bark is worse than your bite and you get a free domming out of your man.
The 69ing. Good looooooord the 69ing. Y'all be makin' each other dizzy.
Sting's filter is only half what yours will be. If you talk about sex lightly, then he's gonna be ready to brag to everyone around him how good you are in bed. If he's not too hoarse to speak.
So many nudes. You get new snaps daily, always after some attention, because you know he loves that attention.
Sting hates getting dressed after the fact so be prepared to see him walk around in the buff once he's got his breath back.

Are there differences in development depending on what host a reproductive tick is attached to. Can the host affect personality or physical attributes? Are there superstitions and beliefs held about how a host affects a baby. An example being ‘ if the host of a reproductive tick is stubborn the baby will inherit that trait.’ Or ‘if the hosts has spots so will the baby’
Can hosts be mixed and matched to try and get the best traits possible? An example being ‘I will attach the tick to someone who’s kind and then to someone who’s brave’ in hopes that the baby will have both those traits.
Oh absolutely
Beliefs like this are very common, though the details vary by culture. To be asked to lend some of your blood to a mother’s tick is considered a great honor to the Twowi, and are sometimes used to cement a bond between two clans.
The Kakroum nomads have a close relationship with their livestock and believe every host, birg or otherwise, donates a piece of their spirit to the forming child. Larvae are transferred to a surrogate animal in the spring, when they are already fat and heavy, and the mother/wet nurses are at their weakest (they are always born during winter hibernation). The support that the trunkhorse lends at this crucial time is part of a sacred rite that ensures the child will have the strength to survive future winters. City dwelling Twowi find the practice dirty, and using surrogate animals (typically flagsheep) is generally associated with small, lower class families.
Another belief seen in kakroum communities and some Twowi legends is the concept of an evil spirit or “vampire” born of a fertilized larvae abandoned by a family that could not feed it, or an unfertilized larva that has been bewitched by an enemy. It wraps its arms around the neck of a hibernating birg and does not let go until it has sucked every bit of strength from the victim and they expire…. Pictured below is such a creature as depicted by a Twowi.
The husk of a larva is also a potent ingredient in folk magic; as it is the cauldron in which new life is formed from the very literal mixing of blood. A practitioner wishing to create a potion may use the preserved husk as a bag to mix its ingredients, for example. If it belongs to the intended recipient of the spell, all the better.

Like what I do? Check out my kofi
#ask#ticks#parasites#birgworld#I realize I went on a bit of a tangent about superstitions surrounding birglarvs but I wanted to talk about baby vampires

do you have any ideas how figure out kin types because I think I might be vampire kin but also IDK
Hi !
I understand that finding your type is difficult, don't forget that your search can last months or even years, so don't put pressure on yourself !
You don't have to use all the advice I give you, because you are the only one who knows what works for you and what doesn't.
⋇⊶⊰❣⊱⊷⋇ ⋇⊶⊰❣⊱⊷⋇⋇⊶⊰❣⊱⊷⋇ ⋇⊶⊰❣⊱⊷⋇
I advise you to :
Make a list of all your nonhuman experiences, personality traits, reflexes, needs, feelings, etc! You can do this in the form of an alter/nonhuman journal, if you want(notebook or small notepad where you write down information about your alter/nonhumanity to better understand yourself) Don't forget that some shifts can be cameo shifts! (cameo shift = when you shift into something/someone that is not your kintype)This will help you see things more clearly. 📝
Make a list of vampires from different cultures! Many creatures are different depending on cultures or regions of the world. (dragons are my best examples ^^). List all possible types of vampires, then research each one!🌍
Look for vampire-like creatures! Vampires are surely not the only ones who have pale skin and feed on blood ¯\_(ツ)_/¯📖
Watch documentaries! Yes, there are documentaries about creatures. It might help you :3🖥️
Make a sketch! Do you have phantom limbs? Do you feel like you're missing a part of your body? If so, sketch all of these body parts, then put them together! Maybe it's not very precise, as a technique, but it might put you on the right track. 🖌️
Search for terms similars to otherkins! If the definition of otherkin or fictionkin doesn't completely match your feelings, don't forget that there are words that are not very well known, which could perhaps describe you! For example, a cambikin fluctuates between a kin identity and a kith identity. A shapeshifter has non-human experiences without identifying with their type and without having a particular connection with that. I recommend you to visit "otherkin wiki" or "therian wiki" (therian wiki is not only about therians) to discover new terms!🔍
Spend time in the vampirekins community! Share your experiences and learn about their feelings. Do you feel like you belong here? Do you feel like you are part of a different community than this one? [Remember that alterhumanity is different for each individual, if your experiences are different, it doesn't necessarily mean you're not a vampiekin] 🧛♂️
Take a step back. Take the time to spot all the little clues you can find in your everyday behavior.💭
consider yourself a vampirekin, then ask yourself later if that holds up or not.❓
⋇⊶⊰❣⊱⊷⋇ ⋇⊶⊰❣⊱⊷⋇⋇⊶⊰❣⊱⊷⋇ ⋇⊶⊰❣⊱⊷⋇
There you go, I hope I helped you :3
Remember that finding your identity should not be a source of frustration, it should just be an enriching exercise in introspection. Take your time.
Take care of yourself, drink water, don't forget that as long as you don't hurt anything or anyone voluntarily, you are valid! Have an amazing day/night! Bye!

can you elaborate on what you mean when you mention the "blue lock sociolect." because the linguistic/social situation that must be developing in this stanford prison ass training center fascinates me endlessly
hello this is going to be a lot. tldr at the end.
for anyone unaware, i use blue lock "sociolect" in this case specifically meaning the dialect that develops in the blue lock facility. i'd classify it more as a sociolect than a dialect, because while they now have a geographic location in common, i would say the speech features show up more in certain characters who've leaned into the blue lock egoist mentality more. the way hiori speaks changes as his view of himself and soccer change. (i also think that bltv enjoyers start talking like this. horrifically)
the blue lock sociolect is a phenomenon i invented in my mind palace to cope with the way i feel when i read blue lock and see phrases like "you're an eyesore, you pink-haired philistine" and "rotten orange." i brought it up in this post on my other blog some time ago, but in short, i've decided that the rather. unique way the blue lockers speak to one another is a result of putting 300 [and lowering] boys age 15-18 from all over japan in a hypercompetitive environment with very little adult supervision.
it's all about the individual, hence many of the insults taking the target's most striking physical trait and combining it with something the speaker decides is negative about the target. with japanese being a language with pretty structured assignments of appropriate politeness based on age, experience, and status, i could see it eroding given the general lack of older adult presence (ego appearing on a screen for like 15 minutes doesn't count, especially since he's rude as hell), and the mentality the players are encouraged to accept. rin isn't the best example given his dedication to hating across languages, cultures, and age ranges, but isagi pretty much comments on how he's rude as hell by social norms once, then clearly gets used to it.
i think the blue lock sociolect starts to diversify a bit once we enter the nel. the blue lock boys are shown studying english, but the nel introduces an environment where a lot of their teammates will most likely be speaking a language other than english or japanese within their teams (except for manshine but that's british english which isn't usually what's taught in japan so even then their contributions to the sociolect will be a bit different).
we don't know exactly how accurate the translation software is, or how it handles the cultural differences in honorific language, but based on some of the things we've seen (ness calling kunigami "kunigami-san" that one time, also ness being shown saying "ja" through the translation, "beinschuss" from kaiser, whatever's going on with charles, etc.) they're not always consistent.
(i haven't checked out the raws for these yet though, so im actually not entirely sure what's coming through in japanese.these could just be translation choices.)
this multi-language environment and the non-translation of certain speech could also have an impact on our blue lock players' vocabulary and introduce other languages' terms and speech patterns. japanese already has a pretty huge collection of loan words that eventually create "foreign" phrases that don't exist outside of japanese, so this facility could make this phenomenon occur more rapidly.
we see otoya say "golazo" during the fc barcha match, and while darai says the same thing during their bowling match, it wouldn't be too far off to assume that otoya picked it up from his spanish speaking teammates.
i could add more but this is getting too long so tl;dr: putting 300 15-18 year old boys in a prison with barely any adult supervision would make neat language shifts.
some features of the blue lock sociolect i think exist:
the particular type of insult we see so much of in blue lock
general lack of/comparatively less importance given to honorific language and polite conjugations of words
shounen protag accent (you'd know it when you hear it.)
increased usage of german, english, spanish, italian, and/or french terms
FAR less subject omission than average japanese, especially when the subject is "i" [thanks aryu.]
#anyway i think at charles's request shidou taught him how to say 'kill yourself‚' among other things‚ in japanese. which he used whenever#rin asked for a normal fucking pass or something#the blue lock sociolect#<- im probably making more posts about this 💀#these are the types of things that make people ask me if im a linguistics major. unfortunately not. if i was this would be longer because i#would know more#answered#agnesandhilda#blue lock

disorganized untitled thesis on satosugu and the rest of jjk part 1/?
while it is true i cannot clinically be Normal(TM) about satosugu for many reasons including the probable late adolescent involvement with a buddhist cult (Etcetc u can believe any wack shit i say or not or just take it for a Schizophrenic Comedy but you know you know), i am also overflowing with satosugu thoughts at any point in time.
HERE'S SOME DISORGANIZED THOUGHTS ABOUT SATOSUGU (and yuuji/sukuna)!
gojo is what in my internal world would be classified as a "nonpareil" which means he is peerless, there is no one that can match him, and it's Not a good thing. as the english translation loves to say, "are you the strongest because you're gojo satoru? or are you gojo satoru because you're the strongest?"
what this means to me is that the entire structure of gojo's identity is composed of "being the strongest," so there's no clear casuative relationship between if he is the strongest because that's the most important thing to being "gojo satoru" or if he is known as, reputed as, identified as "gojo satoru" because of an innate trait he already possessed.
it's unclear if he "became" the strongest Because he is "gojo satoru" or if he "became" "gojo satoru" because he is the strongest.
regardless, gojo satoru's identity is defined by being "the strongest," and that means no one can match him, he is a nonpareil, he is peerless.
because of that it is easy for him to become an object of envy even by his best friend, who calls him by his first name with no honorifics, which is an immense position of intimacy despite their rivalry, as can be indicated in the early episodes of jjk s2.
just like. geto's relationship to gojo is defined by the insurmountable abyss that opens between them when they stop becoming "the strongest duo" and when gojo simply becomes "the strongest," without geto, without needing him anymore, without geto being able to catch up.
geto deeply resents gojo for gojo's peerlessness, the arrogance that befits him, because young gojo is better than everyone and he knows it. geto is incredible, but he can't catch up.
like in the first episodes of jjk s1, the difference between two special grades can be immense and immeasurable. like sukuna and that special grade curse from eps 4-5. both special grade, but two entirely different classes of it.
i'm overflowing with thoughts about how like, geto loves and hates gojo in equal measure. gojo shines so fucking brightly, geto can't help but to love him, who couldn't love him, and in my opinion, gojo Needs geto, otherwise without him...who could tolerate gojo?
if geto can't love him, who could?
just...
without geto, gojo IS the strongest, but he is alone.
to be a nonpareil is to be alone.
no one can keep up with you, no one can match you, you are utterly isolated at the top of your field. without geto, gojo is just alone. what does it matter to be the strongest if you have no one to witness you, what does it matter if you are the strongest and untouchable, unloved, and desired, but only for your practical function, your usefulness in achieving others' ends.
it's hard to explain to someone who isn't fluent in japanese, but japanese is full of ambiguities, it is a language defined by ambiguities, whereas english is defined by its contrasts and strictures, its discrete categories as fundamental as classifying something as "good" or "evil," japanese culturally exists in the middle to the point of indecision and indifference but in the ambiguity there is truth in all its invariate complexity as well.
speaking japanese to children (who are simple, and straightforward, and direct, who speak casually and plainly on a linguistic level) versus speaking children to adults (who politely obscure through layers of courtesy and keigo) is two different worlds, and speaking to teenagers is navigating that ambiguity of "how much do I obscure? and how much do i reveal?"
and the SHEER INTIMACY of geto and gojo calling each other by their first names despite the friction between them, geto deeply resenting gojo's arrogance but also being drawn in irrevably by his magnitude...
it's immense.
geto and gojo calling each other by their first names means that they are each other's most precious person. as intimate as you can ever get with another human being. it's not just a "cute party trick" or a "fun fiction trope for couples" it's like, an extremely intimate way of defining their relationship (and subtextually defining it as one of deep, severe love that surpasses 'bromance' or however else you want to superficially and non homosexually categorize it) it just...
geto and gojo calling each other by their first names shows the viewer how much they love each other and are in love.
i'll talk about it another time, but jujutsu kaisen is a deeply encoded series about decrypting the cipher of "symbols" and various other coded messages, particularly queer ones, that are so deeply encrypted that shounen jump doesn't register it as "actually really fucking homosexual / transgender"
but just. i can't express to you how painful watching...geto's resentment, his desire to be as special and necessary and desirable and wanted instead of swallowing vomit stained rags and viscera and vermin, and feeling dirty because of it. and hating the world. and feeling deeply and intimately that you are an unnecessary existence, annihilated by the shining bright light of your best friend who you are deeply in love with but who without even blinking an eye outshines you, outclasses you, doesn't ever and may have never needed you at all.
these things...these deep held vulnerabilities and open wound of insecurities, this fundamental lack of security in the necessity of his own existence, imo calls back to okkotsu's themes of wishing to have the permission to live (i want to feel as though it is okay to live).
these things make geto vulnerable to cult tactics. who will convince you that you're special, necessary, more necessary than anyone, the way cults build a "family" out of it is too true, so true, too much, the way geto financially exploits his followers as well as manipulating advantage out of them (swallowing curses) while presenting himself as a buddha....
the way geto sincerely loves his family, so so much, he cares about them so deeply...but like gojo says love is the most perverse curse of all, and geto's love for them...who can say what it is, other than love.
the perversion of love is love, too.
the thing about "families" like geto's is that they are sincere, and real, and true, but you can't leave, you can never leave once you get in there, they won't let you leave alive, and that is the shape of geto's love, it requires absolute devotion to him and his curse, those girls he saved, mimiko and nanako, his daughters, say that "if geto-sama says black is white and white is black, then it is" because he saved them...
but geto requires complete and absolute conviction in himself and in his cause, and anything less will result in execution.
in such "factions," there is more loyalty than you will ever see in the world. but more blood, too. to be loved utterly and completely in a way that requires absolute devotion and conviction with no room for even a sliver of doubt. to be loved like that is a perversion, but to be loved like that is to be loved absolutely.
i have been loved like that, and i will never love or be loved like that again.
geto: won't you curse me a little, at the end?
gojo: love is the most perverse curse of all.
they love each other at the end, they still love each other, and in jjk0 when gojo is talking to yaga, he still calls geto "suguru," because gojo still loves him, and gojo says suguru is "his only best friend," it's so...it's so incredibly vivid, and painful, and damning.
gojo without suguru is absolutely alone. there is no one to match him, and there is no one to stay with him, be with him, there is no one to celebrate his successes or criticize his failures or play with him and let him be silly and coquettish, there is no one to be with him at all. gojo is LITERALLY untouchable, and the same is true on an emotional/metaphorical level too.
no one can touch gojo. no one.
this makes gojo...more isolated than any could know.
(laughing) it's lonely at the top.
suguru's era where he is a cultrunner is where kenjaku, who has been described to me as 'the ancient curse spirit of guanyin' i think begins to coalesce inside him.
suguru's entire thing with the stitches on his forehead and that image of him revealing the curse in his brain. that's literally just DID of kenjaku taking over the person that used to be geto. but i think kenjaku was there before, nascent. growing.
jjk in many facets is a DID narrative. this is just the plain and simple truth regardless of if your belief follows mine or not. it is my truth, but i believe it is a textual truth as well. rika is okkotsu's alter; she protects okkotsu severely to the point she won't even let him commit suicide, she stops him, okkotsu created her, he is terrified of her but she protects him at all costs. okkotsu is a severe child on child violence victim.
and so in junpei, who dies because (imo) she can't form an alter, so she represents the child on child abuse victim who is groomed until death. my thesis on trans junpei and trans megumi coming later.
and ofc yuuji and sukuna. yuuji who after eating sukuna's finger knocks on his head and says "yeah, but he's kind of annoying. i can hear his voice," and the implications that no one else can see sukuna's tattoos except the reader.
if gojo, the strongest, with six eyes, can't tell the difference between a clearly inked out curse marked sukuna and yuuji who doesn't have any such thing, if he has to ask, then i think there's no stronger indicator of their difference other than visually, for the reader.
not to mention that sukuna even in his mind palace looks identical to yuuji. if this were a typical "possession" narrative then why would he, in his literal "mind palace" (ryouiki tenkai / that space inside himself where he speaks to yuuji), like why would he independently of yuuji where he could look like anyone in the world. choose to look like slobbering ouppy dog boy silly yuuji.
sukuna IS yuuji, or who yuuji could be. or who exists, so yuuji can exist independently as he is, in all his naivete and instinctual dependence rather than on his mind (sukuna possesses all the cunning).
and sukuna even makes that deal in one of the early episodes where he can have five minutes to do what he wants / take over for five minutes, and then makes yuuji forget it, to the point gojo asks him what he talks about with sukuna, and yuuji says he forgot / can't remember.
DID amnesia.
and at the very last episode in the hallway where yuuji is talking to sukuna alone as though they have spoken together a thousand times. yuuji telling sukuna he can't tell megumi about the truth regarding the curses. that scene's framing just...suggests that yuuji has a lot of off-screen conversations with sukuna. that yuuji uncharacteristically somber and serious. collaborating with sukuna. as a part of him.
and that mahito arc, with mahito commenting on the way that yuuji and sukuna are two souls.
jujutsu kaisen is everything to me. i see it in some ways as a recounting / prediction of places have been in my mind / and places i will be. because i see it as a history so similar to mine, i see my own future in it. is this crazy? OF COURSE IT IS. but it is one of the most precious and sacred things to me.
but, believe me or not, these things and thoughts remain true regardless of the silence that awakens in the absence of belief, these thoughts are mine and the truth i see / seek in jujutsu kaisen...is my own path, my own journey, for me.
but i did want to share any thoughts...about the things i see/seek in jjk. just for myself. but if anyone wants to see, so be it, too. maybe it'll make you think regardless of if you agree.
i love jujutsu kaisen. i think in many ways...it saved my life. it still is saving my life.
i hope i can see it to its end.

Thank you for the advice! On the topic of the Miracle Box and character bloat, I do struggle with the latter as I'm quite fond of the Miracuclass and have already attach myself to them. I do want to give them character developments since the show never did, but I am aware that having a massive cast will be difficult to write. For now my source of inspiration is Young Justice since they have a huge cast of heroes as well.
As for the Miracle Box and the shows rep on Chinese representation, I'm curious to hear your thoughts and what you would have done about it. I am Chinese-Indonesian and we celebrate Chinese New Year so I'm pretty familiar with the Chinese Zodiac. There is a story that about the origin of the Chinese Zodiac, the emperor held a contest to decide the animals that will be included in the calendar. The first is the rat and the last being the pig. Interestingly enough a cat originally wanted to join the contest only for its spot to be stolen by the rat.
The massive cast could have worked if they got rid of Marinette being the source of everything wrong in the universe and just had each episode deal with a conflict caused by one classmate or another, so I don't think you have to abandon them if you're going to match canon's monster-of-the-week format. Just be aware that it's downright impossible to write 18 characters (all the teens) or 36 characters (teens + kwamis - Nooroo) in a single scene and have the audience be able to follow what's going on. I'd strongly encourage you to scrap making most of them heroes and just keep them normal teens, but it is ultimately your call as you're the one who knows what story you want to tell.
I absolutely get the temptation to use the whole class because I personally love Rose and Juleka, but I ultimately chose to keep them as minor background characters because that's what was best for the story and I live by the code of kill your darlings since my goal as a writer is telling good stories.
I'm familiar with the Zodiac myth because of the anime Fruits Basket, but I am not Chinese* nor am I an expert in Chinese symbology and beliefs*. Please keep that in mind as I discuss this next section. If I get something wrong, then anyone is welcome to chime in and correct me or to give further context as this stuff is really hard to research if you don't read the Chinese language and/or if you don't have a background in this stuff to help set off your BS detector. A random blog could have good info or it could be written by a person making stuff up and I don't have the background to tell, so I'm skeptical of all of them which is why we're just going to talk about what's on Wikipedia here since that's usually at least mostly accurate and it gives us enough info for me to explain why I took one look at the zodiac stuff and went, "Hell no!"
My rewrite came about long before we knew all of the powers of the zodiac miraculous, so one of the first things that I had to do was figure out what to do about that because I wasn't going to just make up powers. I was going to base my stuff on the actual zodiac since I do try to be respectful to other cultures. This lead to me researching the Chinese zodiac*.
I very quickly realized how complicated this thing was. Every animal in the zodiac is associated with personality traits, two of the other animals, one of the five elements, and either yin or yang as well as several other things. I'll also note that Western representation of the zodiac has simplified it as there's more than just the 12 animals of the years. There are also animal signs assigned to the month (called "inner animals"), day (called "true animals"), and hour (called "secret animals") of your birth.
In other words, there's a lot of depth to the Chinese zodiac* and it has real cultural significance in China.
I was immediately wildly uncomfortable trying to come up with random powers that somehow respected that depth and significance. I also realized that the show didn't seem to be using the real zodiac to guide the powers it had assigned or the way the kwamis were being written, which also made me uncomfortable! I had previously assumed that they must have a cultural consultant to guide the cultural elements, but that does not seem to be the case for any element of the lore or Marinette's writing. Like to point out a big one, as best I can tell, a miracle box based on Chinese lore would not use a ladybug for good luck and it definitely wouldn't use a black cat for bad luck.
In other words, the miracle box seems to be about as Chinese as fortune cookies.
Between all of that, the character bloat, and the fact that the team is fighting one villain (meaning that you really don't need 17 powers), I decided to completely scrap the idea of the miracle box being tied to a specific culture and came up with my own lore that I won't go into here.
If I had the money to hire a cultural consultant or personal knowledge of Chinese* beliefs, then I would have considered redesigning all of the zodiac miraculous to be based on Chinese* beliefs and changed them into powerups to replace the colored macarons and cheese that have basically been forgotten about. (We are never seeing what the last three colors are for. Never!) I think that would have made more sense than the potions and it would have been more fun/limiting. It's basically how the show is using the zodiac anyway. The temp heroes are defined by their powers and little else since Ladybug is the only team member who is allowed to have a meaningful role on the team.
Basically, the Zodiac animals have a ton of potential to be something really cool that teaches us about Chinese* beliefs and I would love, love, love to see someone take that on. I mean, why have a main character who is half-Chinese and a box based on Chinese lore* if you're not going to capitalize on that?
*I bet you were wondering about all the red asterixis up there, weren't you? Well, buckle in because it gets worse.
I am not going to touch on this further because I am wildly unequipped to do so, but I would be remiss to not acknowledge the fact that the miracle box is said to be Chinese, but the miraculous monks are explicitly stated to be Tibetan, which is yet another "hell no!" There is a massive conflict over the fact that China claims that Tibet is not a country, but a part of China while Tibet claims to be its own nation. Some brief research on my part indicates that Tibet may even have its own beliefs around the zodiac and no. Just no. No, no, no! I'm not touching that minefield for a million dollars! Idk what the writers were thinking combining the two cultures like that, but that does seem to be what they're doing otherwise it would be the Tibetan miracle box or the monks would be in China. Writers, what are you doing?
Once again, I am not a part of any of the above cultures and I am not claiming to be an expert on them. I am just giving you my logic for why I took one look at the miracle box and went running for the hills. Aka why redesigned it to not be a mine field for my personal ethical code what which can be summed up as "research and represent all cultures to the best of my ability as cultures are not aesthetic. If I don't want to do the research (or can't for some reason), don't tie the setting/lore/whatever to a real culture." I'm not claiming to be perfect about that, but I do try and I like to think I know when I'm wildly out of my depth which was 100% the case here. No. Just no. No, no, no.

is it guaranteed that JK would be with someone from the mentioned countries you listed or is it just a possibility that may or may not happen? I’m wondering how this is determined. I know the future is not set in stone and free will plays a huge factor in peoples’ destiny but I do know some or many aspects of the charts may possibly become true. setting aside what you’ve analyzed for now, let’s say he does meet his future spouse, and they either end up not being from those places but they do match the personality traits you described or they are exactly from those places but their character does not exactly fit the predictive descriptions. another possibility would be they could meet in one of those countries as foreigners/tourists or meet in a completely different place away from those countries, such as meeting at a social event where elements of Persian culture is the theme of the event or whatever. I’m sure you got the gist by now lol.
I am in no way doubting you or mocking you—I’m simply curious on the countless “what if” scenarios. the universe is so vast, it’s natural to ponder on the possibilities, you know? I’m also remaining cautious because some folks really do take all of this super seriously (like word-for-word), so when reality does not match up with the analysis, such as yours, they will most likely become very distraught. I know you said you wouldn’t be bothered by such people because I get it, it’s a waste of time & energy, yet I can’t help but worry. I’ll keep hoping for the best! anyway, I deeply appreciate the knowledge you’ve shared on this matter!! can’t wait for more <3
Anon, please read this, I hope this will give you also some peace of mind.
I am just making my readings based on my own experiences with past clients and the knowledge I have gathered from my own Gurus. If I leave out all these detailed insights which I take from the placements and Nakshatras (because people get triggered or disappointed) what else is left in a reading, you know? Of course nothing is set in stone. And I have already pointed out that these readings are for teaching purposes only.
One placement is not enough to make clear predictions of course, but then if we look at his Astrocartography chart and his Venus line, that gives also some clues. That area holds some sort of a significance. If we leave out Astrology entirely, then yes his spouse could originate from anywhere in the world.
I am not trying to offend anyone. But I am just saying, please don't be so sensitive in these matters.
Have a nice day.🌺
