From what the brothers could see when Mc first arrived, they were pretty normal. Quiet, respectful, kind, and hard working. They pushed themselves to do the best they could, never got below a 'B' on any assignments, and always made sure their room was always clean and put together.

Mc was always friendly to the younger brothers, but seemed to be wary of Lucifer. While they were polite to the eldest, they were also very closed off. Whenever they had to speak to him it was usually in a manner that was short and to the point, seemingly as if they were just trying to get the dialog done and over with as soon as possible.

Lucifer and the others just figured it was because he looked stern (and mostly was stern), and his name was often used to frighten humans.

However they kept the same polite and quiet talking behavior with Siemon, and Diaviolo. While Diaviolo was the prince, Siemon was a literal angels, humans loved angels, right?

Mc was also unresponsive to any questions about their home. Any questions about their family, friends, schooling, past hobbies went unanswered.

It was a quiet day at the HoL the brothers were minding their business, for the most part, Levi was chasing Mammon down for his money back.

That was until the sound of glass breaking came from the kitchen, followed by the potent smell of human blood.

The brothers rushed to the kitchen to find Mc quickly trying to clean up a shattered glass mixing bowl as they cried, begging themselves to clean faster. The brothers could see a stream of blood dripped from a cut in Mc's hand.

"Human!" Mammon spoke up, the group had been trying to get their attention for the past few minutes.

Mc's head darted up meet six of seven eyes in the house. Their breathing became more erratic as they tried to clean faster.

"Mc, darling, are you alright?" Asmo asked worried.

"I'm sorry, I'm so sorry I broke your bowl I was trying to make dinner but I tripped over my feet while I was moving the mixing bowl, please don't tell Lucifer!" Mc explained before begging the six younger brothers.

"We're not mad at you Mc? Why are you so stressed over a bowl?" Mammon asked as Satan and Beel went to go get a broom and bring the trash can over.

"but I bro-" Mc started.

"what's with all the commotion? I'm trying to finish up a stack of paper work." Lucifer's annoyed voice spoke up, causing Mc to freeze in place.

"oh Mc, what happened here?" Luci simply asked, and with that the flood gates opened and Mc began to sob, stumbling and sliding their words as they tried to explain to the avatar of Pride what had happened.

The brothers watched in confusion and dismay. Mc had never been one to break down so easily, or at least seemed to be that way. They were always so out together.

Lucifer sighed and took Mc's hand and pulled them up and away from the shards of glass.

"One of you please clean this up, were getting take out tonight." Lucifer calmly spoke as Mc stood beside him, their hand in his, crying as quietly as they could.

Lucifer led Mc to the music room, the place the two had most of their deep conversations.

"Now that you've calmed down some, could you please explain what happened?" Lucifer spoke.

"I was making dinner, as I was going to move the mixing bowl over to the stove so I could start pouring the batter into the skillet. But I tripped over my feet or something and I fell with the mixing bowl in my hands, and it hit the floor and broke." Mc explained as tears threaten to spill.

"And that has you upset because?" The old demon continued to try and get to the bottom of the exchange students emotional outburst.

"I broke your mixing bowl, I made a mess on the kitchen floor, I ruined dinner." Mc listed off their reasons. Lucifer sighed.

"Mc, you accidentally broke one of many mixing bowls, we have more and can buy more, you accidentally made a mess on the kitchen floor, which is easily cleaned up, you did not ruin dinner, we don't have to have home cooked food every night. Even if it was an accident, it's ok demons and human alike make much worse accidents on the daily. I'm sorry if you thought I would yell and berate you over a simple mistake." Lucifer explained.

"I'm sorry, my parents always got mad at me over any mistake I made, I'm just used to authority figures getting mad at me I guess..." Mc mumbled.

"oh Mc..." Lucifer sighed as he rubbed his temples, "is that why your son closed off, because of your parents?" The black haired demon sighed. Mc silently nodded.

"Mc, as long as you are in Devildome don't hesitate to come to me if anything like this comes up again. I'm here to help you while your here, not hinder or frighten you." Lucifer calmly state, "now let's get that band bandaged up and then go see what those hooligans ordered for dinner."

This is also a bit of a culture query, cos these are all in my house so I genuinely cook with these all (except chicken salt, that's been in my cupboard for ages)

But I'm not from the USA and most people here are, so I wonder if that's similar! Maybe your cupboard is identical to mine. Maybe we use the same stuff but call it something else. Maybe USA has a different relationship with pre mix spices and you use none of it. Maybe you've never heard of pre mix spices. I dunno. That's why I'm asking!

I use plain herbs and spices as well. Especially when making a complex meal I'll do it myself. But I use pre mixes other times, so I'm voting. Voting for a pre mix doesn't mean you don't also use paprika! If you genuinely have no pre mixes in the kitchen tho, then hell yeah, tell me!

Also, I know I haven't listed everything in the world. One, that's impossible. Two, this is a bit of a culture thing so I just checked my kitchen and used those. This selection is representative of me only

Holy shit. I anticipated some tragic backstory from the "I must feed the young ones" panels, but what I'd guessed was that Senshi might have become so devoted to cooking and eating literally whatever because he'd previously survived a famine and had seen children starve to death. I did not expect him to have been the child who was the sole survivor of a doomed travel party, one of whom was determined to feed Senshi first because he was the youngest, and that Senshi has lived with the fear of having inadvertently committed cannibalism by eating stew that he'd never quite known the contents of. I'm happy for him that Laios deduced and confirmed for him that it was griffin meat, that he was able to taste the meal that saved his life once more and remember the friends he lost. Seriously, I'm crying, and also earnestly relieved that while his backstory is pretty dark, it's not the type of fucked up I'd been preparing myself mentally for.

Well, I don't wanna make Bonnie on the same level as the adults (they are a kid, after all!! who brings a kid to a fight? who LETS a kid fight?!?) but I do want them to hold their own and legit be a force in battle. Stats wise I think their attack and defense aren't great, BUT their speed would be almost double of everyone else so they can attack twice as often? Maybe! Cuz you're right, Bonnie was already pretty good (when motivated!) to one-shot weak Sadnesses, which is why I thought it'd be plausible for them to fight alongside everybody else in all the roleswap AUs >:3 And thank you!!
