Alrighty! @number-one-shadisper-shipper and I binged the Knuckles series today, so time for thoughts! SPOILER ALERT.

I'll admit the show wasn't perfect. I've seen the negative reviews, and I kinda get where they come from. BUT! I did enjoy this show greatly! And I'm not here to complain. Time for some happy thoughts, y'all! 💙🤩

I think you need to have a love, not just tolerance, for the SCU in order to properly enjoy this show. I do have such, so I had a lot of fun with it.

There were definitely scenes from every episode that had me either squealing, laughing, crying, or flipping out. But my favorite was likely the first episode, because come on, we saw the Wachowski family! Most of them, anyway! While I missed Tom's presence, I was grateful for that comment from Maddie about him being "out of town," so he wasn't just gone for no reason.

The SECOND it showed our three space babies hanging out together in their room?! I SCREAMED. THE BOYS!!!!

Tails sitting on his bed tinkering with one of his gizmos, Sonic rocking out to music with an air guitar, and Knuckles exercising from one of the ceiling planks. IT'S THEM!!! They're just hanging out, doing their thing, looking oh so much like brothers. And Sonic's narration at the beginning was GOLD. 🤣💙

Even though we didn't get enough of Maddie being a parent, we definitely got a nice chunk for it only lasting part of an episode. Maddie called Knuckles "one of our kids" (that had me SCREECHING). The angry mama vibes were GOLDEN. 🤣 The way she made breakfast for them, the "Boys, breakfast is ready!" I love the normalcy of it! Can't wait to see more in the future! (Her calling to them with "boys" is somehow just the sweetest thing and I'm melting.)

The poor mailman being like "I just wanna go home, man" 🤣

We were right, fellas, Knuckles had no idea what being grounded meant. 🤣 Although the way Sonic piped up with "Oh, I definitely know what it means," has me suspecting that Sonic himself has gotten grounded a decent amount before. 😂

Knuckles trying to talk back, and Maddie going, "ExCUSE ME?!" then just making those tiny, terrifying noises and Sonic being like "Bro don't mess with Mom when she's mad" (okay, he didn't say "mom" and that made me sad, but the mom vibes were 110% there so I'm here for it). 😂 And since Knuckles snuck out and later Wade said, several times, "Aren't you grounded?" seems to confirm that this entire show is basically what Knuckles does when he's grounded. 🤣 Although ... his comment about not being able to be grounded because he had no home made me very sad. 😭

I did not have an issue with so much Wade screentime! Sure, he isn't my favorite SCU character, but I love what this show did with him! I'd already seen his moments in the movies (like nearly shooting Robotnik in the face with an actual handgun). I like how they gave him actual family issues; a dad who abandoned him and his family, a realistic sister, a mom. Bad family memories. Awkward reunions. They could've made it a joke, but they didn't, and I greatly appreciate that. Especially since I've witnessed firsthand how painful family separations can be. 😔

All the emotional talks Wade and Knuckles had caught me off guard in the best way! The way they talked about their different family issues, the way they talked of betrayal from friends, and being left alone, hit way harder than I was prepared for. Especially that talk they had at the burger place in the middle of the night? Oof. Good talk right there.

Also, even though they took a "show don't tell" take with it, I loved how Knuckles relaxed more and more throughout the show. In the beginning, he couldn't rest, he couldn't sit back and have a genuine good time. But the more he hung out with Wade and his family, the more he learned. He learned about music and found "his jam" (that was literally amazing btw). He watched movies with Mrs. Whipple and ate snacks in the hotel room in Reno and watched more movies. He had his teenager moments of rolling his eyes and rebelling, but he was so well portrayed here, I loved it. I felt for him.

Despite the bizarre nature of the episode "Flames of Disaster," (we were cracking up so hard) I'm trying to glean bits of the truth of Knuckles's story from the crazy musical play that Pachacamac put on in Wade's dream. I mean, "Longclaw" and her tribe were there, and ... what the heck was that giant demon thing?! Iblis?! Does our Knuckles Wachowski have an actual history with freaking Iblis?!?! 😱🔥

I was deeply intrigued by the two main antagonists, especially at the implication that G.U.N. did seem to exist before the events of the first movie?! Did it exist, get disbanded after the Maria incident, then get reformed?! My brain is exploding. 🤯 I was even more shocked that they apparently died? I guess I shouldn't be surprised, the Wachowski kids don't seem to have much qualms about getting rid of the baddies for good as the game versions do. That was a terrifying phenomenon, what happened with the two rings. 🫣

And then the Buyer getting crushed by the giant glass ball ��

Although in those last two episodes, I admit I was freaking out and legitimately near tears at Wade's seemingly having to "betray" Knuckles. Before the reveal that all was in good communication, all I could think was how relaxed Knuckles finally seemed, chilling in the hotel room, being excited about whatever Wade wanted to "show" him, questioning whether it was a song, him declaring that he was going to bring his favorite hat, 🥹 all I could think was of their previous discussions about betrayal from friends and family, and when Knuckles called Wade "my friend" right before the elevator doors closed, I just about sobbed. I was like "please, don't let him be betrayed, don't let him have come all this way and relaxed so much only to get 'betrayed' once again by someone he's come to consider a friend." 😭 We heaved a HUGE sigh of relief when it revealed he was aware of the trap the whole time. 😪

Maternal instincts went nuts when he got so badly hurt in that final battle 😭 I literally reached for the screen several times and was right back to almost weeping 🥲 And someone tell me I wasn't the only one noticing the parallel in that scene with Wade standing in front of his unconscious body the way Tom did with Sonic in the first movie. That, PLUS Knuckles's epic comeback, and his retrieval of his own power?!?! EPIC!!!!

The ending was abrupt, sure, but the pure joy on Knuckles's face after everything as he jumped up to high five Wade was just too sweet. 🥹

So yes, even though I would have loved just a little more, a return to Green Hills, a reunion with Maddie, Sonic, and Tails, I adored this show. It was a wild ride, full of laughs, tears, excited screeching, etc. 💙💛❤️ I don't care what anyone says, nothing will make me hate it.

"You like him," Rouge sing songed as she trailed Shadow through the halls.

"Shut up," Shadow answered with, ears flattening to his head as he spoke.

Rouge just laughed to herself, "Alright, I can leave you be."

Shadow waved her off, "Yeah, sure, go ahead."

"Oh? I've really hit a pressure point this time." There's almost a cackle in the way Rouge laughs, a threat on her saccharine smirk.

"Nuh uh!"

"Yeah huh."

She's off before Shadow can swivel around to stop her from leaving, unable to swear her to silence on the matter. Sure, he knows that their trust runs too deep for her to just gossip the topic without any finesse. But something in the pit of his stomach says otherwise.

She's so gonna snitch on him for having a dumb heart, isn't she?

"No? Really?" Sonic asked eagerly, leaning in to be closer to his friend.

Knuckles gave a huff, "What about it?"

"Him though? Of all Mobians?" Sonic doubled down with.

"Like you're any better."

Sonic shrugged, "I can't give you any advice if you want Shadow thee Hedgehog, Ultimate Lifeform, mega full of himself-"

"He's not though," Knuckles said, just quiet enough that Sonic would barely hear, "Once you get to know him he's pretty nice."

Sonic's ears flicked back as Knuckles spoke, "Ohhhh, so you're really close with him. I see how it is."

"Get your head out of the gutter, Sonic!" Knuckles snapped back, red painting his muzzle at the notions.

"Sure thang, Knux! But really though, I gotta skedaddle," Sonic said.

"Don't you dare tell anyone!"

Sonic's already darting off at a considerably slower pace than usual as Knuckles speaks, to make sure he hears maybe. Knuckles doesn't bother chasing after him, he's too fast to effectively catch up in time before he's off on a mission or chatting with someone else. He better not fucking gossip about this with anyone else.

Would he…?

Knuckles shakes the thought from his head and grabs a new focus; find Tails for a ride back up to Angel Island.

Shadow doesn't sleep that night.

Instead he ruminates.

He watches his dumb ninja anime that Tails said he'd probably enjoy, something about losing everything they love for vengeance and struggling to be seen as more than a monster. He'd made it in about, oh, thirty episodes? Around thirty episodes before he started feeling feels about it.

Naw man he fucking gets it. He'll have to ask the kid for more recommendations.

He heads out to the kitchenette to grab some more snacks because he ran out and he's thirsty. He finds Rouge leaned on the counter sipping a cup of coffee, decaf he presumes, she raises a brow as she stares at him.

"Hi, Rouge," Shadow begins as he reaches for a cupboard to grab a packet of microwave popcorn.

"Turn down your tv, if I have to hear that 'of the sand' guy screech one more time I'm gonna lose my mind," Rouge said bluntly.

Shadow cringes a bit at being caught up so late watching anime. He flicks on the tap to get some water, "Sorry."

"I thought you'd be up blasting your favorite emo bands if I'm being real."

"They're not emo-"

"I know, I'm just fuckin' with ya. I didn't expect you to be over it so soon though."

"Over what?"

"Me making off like I was gonna gossip about your big fat crush on Knuckles."

"You did, didn't you?" Shadow just sighed, word would come out sooner, and it's too late in the night to effectively track them down. Also, he wants to get back to watching his show.

"Uh, no? Nobody was bartering me any gems for the intel," Rouge answered with, "C'mon, how much of a bitch do you take me for?"

Shadow shrugged.

"I did get something for you though."

"You did?"

"Ice cream."

"Ice cream…?"

Rouge placed down her mug to swing open the freezer, "Yep! Wasn't sure how broody you'd be, it's your favourite flavour- Tiger Tail."

"Thanks," Shadow said quietly, sliding his popcorn into the microwave.

"I got you one other thing too," Rouge said, there's that sly grin on her face.

Shadow raises a cautious brow, "What did you get…?"

"A bunch of grapes! They're Knuckles favourite, hand 'em over when you confess!"

"Confess? I just realized it was a crush, Rouge."

"Oh I know, but it's good to have a plan!"

Knuckles spends the following days not exactly terraforming his island, but definitely doing some terrain work. Mostly punching trees, invasive species he'd imagine. But really, he just needs to blow off some steam.

Is steam the right word?

He's just working through the motions.

Chaos, why is everything so hard to make sense of? Is it love? Is it friendship? Or does he just really adore Shadow, because who wouldn't? He's so cool, he can't blame himself for feeling so messed up over all of this.

But he does.

His paws hurt when he watches the wood of a pine tree splinter and crumble under the force behind each movement. Swift and forceful. Each time he launches his fist at the wood he wonders how long it'll take before he starts to tear away like that. Just fall apart and collapse like it's doing right now.

With a loud crash it hits the dirt and he's panting as he falls back onto the dirt, staring up at the clouds.

He needs to head back to the emerald.

Shadow is waiting for him, just sitting against the stand that the gemstone is propped on. Knuckles sits down near him, not quite next to him, but close enough to count.

Neither of them speak for a long time.

Neither of them want to speak- the silence is like a second home.

Eventually Shadow 'breaks' the silence, shatters the stillness, he holds out a hand. Not a lot, not actively reaching for Knuckles. But his paw rests at the mid point between the both of them, palm down on the pseudo-concrete.

Knuckles doesn't move right away, didn't expect either of them to move. He expected this to be another sit down on the island and stare at the sky for hours before Shadow wordlessly leaves kind of thing. He still tentatively reaches out to meet Shadow's paw with his own.

Again, the stillness stagnates like that of a pond. Beautiful things can propagate in stillness and quiet, Knuckles doubts this'll be an example in the same way the lotus flower is an example.

He doesn't speak, neither does Shadow.

He's more focused on the contact, paw to paw. Covered by a glove, but still sparking like electric currents.

Clouds drift, the sun starts to fade. It's nice. It's quiet and tense and tender all at once but it's nice. Usually contact this close comes with sparring, which is another type of contact that they both enjoy.

"I like this," Shadow said, voice quiet. Somewhat out of fear that he'd ruin the moment if he spoke too loud.

Knuckles nodded, "Yeah."

"This whole love confession thing is dumb as balls," Shadow said bluntly, snatching away his hand only to hold his head in both with a groan.

"I couldn't agree more," Knuckles answered with.

"Can we just say that we both mutually like each other and call it a day? I don't have the capacity or experience to take you on a nice dinner date."

"Sounds good to me."

"Okay, okay great- that actually wasn't too bad."

"Speak for yourself, I was dying."

"Agreed."

"So, now that it's out in the open, wanna go spar?"

"Oh hell yeah."

Can we please talk about Knuckles history/ past?

I just saw a tick tock video, which topping was sad history and showed pictures of Movie Sonic, Tails, Knuckles (and that fanmade movie Shadow version).

That made me think.

When I was a kid, I always saw Knuckles as my favorite character because he was cool, red, and strong. But today, he is my favorite because of his sad story. And I personally think that he has the most sadest story of all Sonic characters. Allow me to explain:

1. He has no real family. His entire race died because they wanted to use the Chaos and the Master Emerald for evil stuff. They all died, and Tikal sacrificed herself to seal Chaos. So Knuckles had to grow up by himself, hunting/ finding food, without a mother or father or anyone, all by himself, alone for 16 years. I mean, yes, the little Chaos are there to keep him company, but they can't talk or take care of him much of him.

2. His feelings: He is naive and believed Eggman several times and teamed up with him, despite knowing that Eggman was evil, but still tried to see the good in him, which was all for nothing, because Eggman used him. Then we have Rouge, the flying bat thieve who is trying to get the Master Emerald. She would fight and flirt her way through to get what she wanted and now image. This boy never had someone to love him, so he doesn't really know what love is (I guess) and now imagine how it would feel to have a girl flirting with you, but not being sure if she is serious about this or just wants the Master Emerald. This makes Knuckles even more insecure than he already is because he is constantly alarmed when someone calls out Rouges' name like we saw in the Tails tube video.

3. Angel Island: Like I mentioned in the first point, Knuckles' ancestors wanted to use the power of chaos for evil stuff, so Knuckles wants to fix his ancestor's mistakes by guarding and protecting the island without any help from others. But the problem is, if he doesn't take the other's help, then he will never be free from that burden. Everyone can be on earth and go wherever they desire, but he can't. He is trapped on the island because he knows that no one except him will guard the Master Emerald without even a "thank you". A lot of people are not seeing how much Knuckles does to protect others by staying on Angel Island and protecting that Emerald.

Also, he is the only one who can communicate with the M.E. to neutralize the Chaos Emeralds' power. He will forever be bound to that big responsibility, whether he likes it or not. He is never going to be free, and he knows it. That's why he sees no real purpose in life except for having fun and doing your best (what he said in the Twitter takeover). I mean, yes, he leaves the island to watch "One Punch Man" at Cream's and Vanilas' place, but guess who will probably use that to his advantage: Eggman.

4. His friends: Sonic seems to be the only one who really cares about Knuckle's lonelynes. When they had that short, deep talk during Frontiers, Sonic said that his friends were there to support him. But in the last Twitter takeover, when it was mentioned that Knuckles had a fan, he talked very low of himself, seeing himself as a character who doesn't or shouldn't have fans. Sonic told him to be nicer to his fans, and Amy asked him about his personality, where he replied that everything sucks. It was quite obvious that Knuckles spoke very low of himself, but Tails tried to brush him off.

Why wouldn't his friends try to be more supporting, maybe saying that it wasn't really his fault? Or trying to make him see the good things in himself?

Like, Tails got into a big group hug when they were told that Tails didn't have a home back then. Or when they talk about Maria when Shadow is there, it is a sensitive topping, and they are making sure not to hurt Shadow's feelings. Or when Sonic had that dream about him saving the city and no one noticing, they gave him therapy.

But Knuckles doesn't get that treatment?

Yes, Sonic talked to him in Frontiers, but why not in the takeover? Why not get more support for him?

So yeah, that's what I've been thinking.

Knuckles sure had some character development, but it doesn't change his history or the fact that he will forever have to stay on the floating island.

I really would like it if someone stayed by his side and visited him sometimes so Knuckle could have some rest or simply would have someone to talk to for at least once in a while.

How Sally Acorn and The Freedom Fighters can work in a Sonic game.

This is a little essay I want to make on how Sally Acorn and The Freedom Fighters can potentially work in a Sonic game.

Brief summary. Sally Acorn is a character from the Sonic the Hedgehog Archie comics, and is especially known for being in the Sonic the Hedgehog cartoon, dubbed by fans as Sonic SatAM.

The characters of Sally Acorn, Bunnie Rabbot, Rotor the Walrus and Antoine D'Coolette are characters exclusive to this show as well as the spin-off comics. They are part of a group known as The Freedom Fighters, which also consists of Sonic himself as well as Tails. Their goal is to liberate their world from the tyrannical Doctor Robotnik, better known as Doctor Eggman, the main antagonist of the games.

These characters were made for the show, but I believe they can work in the game setting. It just requires a bit of tweaking to have them fit the Sonic Team vision, and this is how I would go about it.

Let's start with the gameplay, as that is the most important part of a Sonic game obviously, or any video game for that matter. Now, obviously in most Sonic games, Sonic is playable. In those games he runs at high speeds, hence his name. The gameplay reflects that perfectly. This has been a thing since the first Sonic game on the Sega Genesis.

Any games where one of his friends are playable usually have that friend running at high speeds. Examples include Tails in Sonic 2. When he's tagging along with Sonic, he's keeping up with his speed, or on his own, he has to show that same speed in gameplay.

This continued through the Genesis games with the introduction of Knuckles, and into the Adventure games with characters like Shadow. Some characters do have slower gameplay, like Amy Rose does in Sonic Adventure, but it's still speedy in its own right. Amy definitely has quite a boost in speed by Sonic Heroes.

The point I'm getting at is this. If Sally were to be in the games, there's two ways to go about it. One way is making her an NPC. Sally does not have the speed or abilities that the game cast have. So putting her in a traditional Sonic level would make her feel out of place.

Could she be given powers? Absolutely. But I feel like it messes with her charm. Her being a normal character should not be a bad thing. No one had a problem with Batman being in the Justice League. Sally has plenty of strengths, even if not in gameplay. She can appear in cutscenes, give orders, or anything. Not every major character in a video game is playable, and that extends to the Sonic franchise. Tikal didn't need to be playable to be important in Sonic Adventure 1 after all.

If anyone was going to be playable in a Sonic level, it would be Bunnie Rabbot. She has the cybernetically enhanced limbs and could speed and power her way through a Sonic level.

However if Sally were to be playable, an option would be to give her specifically designed levels that focus on her slower gameplay. It could even be stealth based. Think about the levels in the game, Sly Cooper. Sally could sneak around and gather intel to assist her team, and use stealth takedowns on enemies, or just fight.

Another feature would include having Nicole present in some form, either as a computer or in her Lynx form. She can even have a role similar to Omochao in which she would explain the controls or give hints throughout the levels.

Option two is this. A Sonic RPG. We've already had Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood, but I think another Sonic RPG is due. Especially given that Sega owns Atlus, who are famous for the Persona franchise. An RPG is a great way to introduce The Freedom Fighters.

With an RPG gameplay, you don't have to worry about how characters can keep up or not. Everyone is at an even playing field. This is assuming that it's a turn-based RPG, like Persona, or the original Final Fantasy games. (And Sonic Chronicles too of course).

Most RPGs don't have that many people in a single party, so you'd still need to pick and choose. Chronicles was generous with eleven characters. So I'll bump it to twelve. My picks would be Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Shadow, Rouge, Silver, Blaze, Sally, Bunnie, Antoine and Rotor. We can have cameos from characters like Rosie, Dulcy, Uncle Chuck and Lupe. This in addition to the game characters of course.

The RPG route could be interesting, as it could allow for a mechanic known as The Affinity System. This system has been used in Final Fantasy 7 and Tales of Symphonia, and is particularly featured in Fire Emblem, and even the Sega owned Persona.

The affinity system allows for character bonds to grow through gameplay and side quests. This could be a fun way to show how friendships develop among the Sonic characters, and be a good way to show a bond when it comes to the Freedom Fighters. There's another reason that I will get into in a bit.

Another idea is to make a fighting game. It would be a Sonic Fighters type deal where characters from across the Sonic Universe could fight. And why limit it there? Sega could feature characters from across the multiverse, which includes SatAM.

Sega has what it takes to make a Sonic 3D Fighter after all. They have the Virtua Fighter team with nothing to do. Honestly it'd be funny if characters like Akira Yuki or Jacky Bryant made playable appearances.

Then again, having humans fighting Mobians (or whatever Sonic's game franchise calls these characters) might be troubling. Anyone who remembers the Star Wars characters in Soul Calibur 4 knows from experience how hard it is fighting a small character like Yoda.

Still, a fighting game featuring Sonic characters can work. It again puts them on even ground, and power doesn't need to match. You see games like Dragon Ball FighterZ or the Marvel vs Capcom games having crazy looking matchups that don't make sense, but it's a game so you don't have to think too hard on it. So long as the characters fit, then it's fine.

Be it a 3D fighter, or a 2D fighter, either way it could be fun to see the Freedom Fighters in a fighting game.

This mainly applies to the SatAM Freedom Fighters. Anyone from Archie could be troubling given the copyright issues. Not all characters have this, those like Fiona Fox and Mina Mongoose could theoretically come back. It depends on what Sega wants, but if they were willing to bring them back, that would be a plus. Mina and Fiona deserve a better story than they got in Archie Comics, and being adapted by Sega could be the fresh start they need.

I'm not opposed to other making it into the games, be it Cosmo from Sonic X, or Tangle and Whisper from IDW. They can all co-exist in the Sonic gaming franchise along with other characters.

Now to get to characterization. There's a difference between Sonic in the games, and Sonic in SatAM and the comics. Japan portrays Sonic as very humble compared to how the West Portray him.

In Archie, Sonic is very full of himself and a bit egotistical. He's very likely to smack talk someone. He's got a larger ego, and plays up the who superhero thing.

This is opposite of what Sonic Team sees Sonic as. Yes in the Japanese versions of Sonic Adventure 1 and 2, he had something of an ego, and was rude, but he became pretty humble by the end of SA2 and from there, he's had a friendlier demeanor.

Why do I bring this up? In SatAM, Sally's thing was constantly telling Sonic what to do and keeping him from being immature. Sally wouldn't need to do that in the games because Sonic is already mature, so their dynamic changes.

Also, Sonic is not really one to be bound by this stuff. He's not a superhero type like Western Media likes to portray. (A misunderstanding he has in common with Goku). He always does his own thing.

Now I know I said Sonic's not a superhero, but I will use them to make the comparison. While the Freedom Fighters are duty bound like The Avengers, Sonic and his friends are like The Fantastic Four. They're more explorers than heroes, they just happen to do good things.

So while Sonic is chill and more mature than in the games, Sally can still find Sonic irritating since like SatAM and Archie, he does what he wants. Difference is that Western Sonic would brag about doing what he wants while Game Sonic just does it without the need to explain himself.

Sonic and Sally would have different dynamic. I can see her trying to get him to do what she wants him to do, but he's giving her a hard time. But he's nicer than Archie, and he's usually more respectful to girls, so he may try to explain himself at some point, only if he wants to.

Romance would not likely be there either. Sega does not want Sonic in a relationship, and honestly if they do go that route for him, he'd likely be with Amy.

I can see Sally crushing on Sonic, but it would be one-sided. He wouldn't return the affection and Sally may eventually give up. But the respect would still be there.

Also bear in mind, if Sally does become part of the games, that doesn't mean she'll be a main character. At most she'd be a side character and only appear when needed.

Backstories would need to change too. Sally may not be a Princess this time around, but Knothole can exist on an island where Sally is the mayor's daughter or something. Keeps it political for her and she is somewhat a Princess. It can even be a nickname.

Roboticization doesn't exist in the games, so Bunnie being a cyborg would either be due to an accident, or it could be an Iron Man situation where she was given robotic limbs. Rotor could build them.

Antoine could just be a knight. He may or may not be married to Bunnie at first, but that's not something I want to see rushed, so it's better off being alluded to. If anything, just say they're dating.

Nicole is tough. The original plans for her was that she was once Mobian, then had her brain uploaded into that computer. She gains a physical form again, but comes back as a child and becomes a daughter figure to Sally.

Nicole could essentially be Sally's little buddy like Tails is for Sonic if they choose to go that route.

Or she could be older and just be Sally's best friend, or even her sister either by blood or via adoption. I would personally go with the adoption route, it adds a bit more to their friendship without having to add too much exhibition.

It could be a simple game, either one of the classics, because the Freedom Fighters just fit well in those, or modern, which works too. Whether they already knew Sonic or just met him is another thing to consider.

If you go with them already knowing him, it'd need to be done carefully. Like Sonic met them once but didn't stick around. He lost contact with them because they couldn't keep up. Sonic's friends stick around because they could keep up.

But that's their relationship. Sally may not have a deep bond with Sonic, or Tails for that matter, but such is the way it is for Sonic games.

Though going back to the affinity thing I mentioned for the JRPG, theoretically that can be used as an excuse to have romance. Build a bond and slowly have the two fall in love. It doesn't even need to be with Sally though, you can have Sonic fall for Amy. You can have Sonally or Sonamy, and the best part, it doesn't need to be canon. Both can be what-ifs, similar to Final Fantasy when it came to Cloud with Tifa or with Aerith. Or the many possible Fire Emblem pairings.

This could be Sega just testing the waters to see how romance would be handled. If they want, they can even give Sonic an option to be with Blaze. Sonaze fans should be happy too.

Even so, let's say Sonic is meant to be with Amy. Personally, I say don't pair Sally with anyone. Though if she absolutely had to be paired with someone, I'd say maybe Mighty or Ray since they're game characters who can fit the Freedom Fighter aesthetics well. (Personally, I vote for Ray. Chipmunk and Squirrel.)

Oh, and I suppose I should discuss her wardrobe. I'll keep it simple, I don't see why Sega would need to give her clothes, I always found that double standard weird. Why is it okay for guys to go without pants but it's not okay for girls? I don't think any other game or franchise with anthro characters have that issue. Either everyone worse mostly clothes or no one did.

But if Sega feels the need to put clothes on her, then fine, no big deal. Just make sure they look good. Don't force it like the reboot did.

But that's my take. Sally can work in the games with effort, and Sega just needs to try. The key is getting her popular enough for Sega of Japan to consider her. But Honestly, having Sally in the games would be a great service. Sega has done great services lately, such as bring back Sonic's friends for games like Superstars and promising to bring back older franchises like Jet Set Radio and Streets of Rage.

I know SatAM has a different vibe from the games, but considering Sega's fine with The Diamond Cutters in IDW that do similar stuff like the Freedom Fighters do, and the fact that Sonic Forces had this rebellion thing, Sega's willing to go this route.

Mario has done similar with characters like Pauline in Mario Odyssey and Daisy in Super Mario Bros wonder. Sonic needs to keep up this kind of momentum. Let's keep up this momentum. We'll Rally for Sally as they say.

Sonic Prime is a perfect intro show for new Sonic fans and annoying for anyone who pays attention to the plot

Sonic prime shows off Sonic characters in a way that is digestible to new fans without dumping an entire legacy's worth of lore on them.

In the beginning we are told directly by Sonic what his relationship with each character is, showing us the characters from his perspective, while giving us a brief understanding of their background and how they met Sonic.

And I know what you're probably thinking, the original versions of the characters (other than Sonic and Shadow) are barely in the show at all, how could they be shown off if they're not in it? And of course, you're right, they're not in it, but that's the point.

The different versions of the Sonic characters are not just separate characters entirely; they are the same character in a different situation that caused them to change. And this change is what makes the show so perfect for new fans, because each variant shows off emphasized parts of each character.

Take Knuckles for example, in New Yolk Renegade is shown to be extremely determined to single mindedly complete their one goal and is very consistently loyal to Rebel while being unwilling to trust anyone else easily. He's also shown to be very brave and strategic in battle; All traits that Knuckles Prime exhibits but exaggerated to a larger extent to help get the point across.

In Boscage Maze Gnarly is representative of Knuckles naivety, showing how he can misinterpret things or be misled; often thinking with his fists or his stomach instead of his brain. And again, exaggerated to get the point across.

Now Dread is where they really shine, Dread perfectly shows off Knuckles' obsession with the Master Emerald, without even mentioning or showing the Master Emerald at all; Using the prism shard as a stand-in for the Master Emerald. It shows off how far he'd go to get it back, it shows how often he doesn't care about how his actions will affect those around him as long as he gets it back. Dread shows us how Knuckles will isolate himself to keep the master emerald/prism shard safe. He fully introduces us to Knuckles' relationship to the Master Emerald without having to explain any of the lore that comes with it.

Each of the variants have examples like this, of introducing a main facet of the original character in an extreme and unsubtle way. Thorn Rose shows Amy's anger at anyone who harms nature, and her tendency to refuse to change her mind and be stubborn if she believes she is in the right. Rebel emphasizes Rouge leadership skills when leading the rebellion/team dark, and ability to be strategic inside and out of combat regardless of her own emotions. And Sails represents Tails' loyalty and belief in his friends. (Im not gonna touch on Nine bc there's a million and one analyses of his character already)

All of this, plus the ghost versions that straight up tell us their core values, and using the concept of "going through different places to find magical rocks" makes for a show that perfectly introduces new Sonic fans to the characters and basis of the world without spoiling or overloading them with lore and explanations.

Its enough to get us intrigued by the characters, while leaving plenty to still be explored and learned about in which ever way we want.

The movies are also an intro to Sonic, but they lose a lot of points by being separate from the canon Sonic universe, introducing a lot of rules and concepts that aren't true in the canon Sonic lore, that it leaves people feeling confused or misled when trying to get into the rest of the series.

I can say that cuz its exactly what happened to me. I watched the movies, got interested, looked at the rest of the fandom, got confused, and decided to interact with only Movie Sonic content. Until I watched Prime.

Prime introduced me to all the original main characters (unless u count Silver or Blaze) and their aspects and relationships, as well as the canon universe. (and the ships which may have been a driving force for me joining the fandom but just ignore that)

If you want to get someone into Sonic id recommend two methods based on my own experience.

1. If they're hesitant about it/feel like its too cringe, start them with the movies, then a game that's fun to play but not story driven, and then make them watch prime

2. If they're not too hesitant/already in fandoms similar, show them prime and your personal favorite game, let them chose which one they want to do first and boom you got a new sonic fan!

Sonic prime theories

Now I’m gonna sort them out of what kind of theories I will be showing. The theories that make sense, a bit over the top theories, and one Sonamy theory. I won’t go to much into detail because my vocabulary and English ain’t that good. Reminder, These are just theories not facts

theories that makes sense:

Rusty rose will probably die by the end of the show. I know it sounds bad but hear me out. Amy is considered the heart of the group, has a love of nature, and will probably sacrifice herself if it means saving her loved ones. So what I think will happen is that rusty joins sonic to defeat the eggmans but ends up sacrificing herself in the process to save her friends, and then she frees the Flicky she jailed.

Nine might end up becoming the final boss, or the final antagonist. Nine is selfish, hates the place he lives, is full of misery, knows how the shatterverse works, and felt betrayed by the only person he trusted (sonic). What if he’s trying to get the shards before sonic, what if he will use it for selfish reasons, and-HOLY CRAP I JUST REALIZED. if nine does become an antagonist, and if rusty does join sonic, nine has access to rusty…I want y’all to think on this one

Sonic fights Dread to get the shard back. as y’all probably already know, Dread is a insane bastard who would try to reach his goal no matter what, even if it means injuring or killing his crew in the process. So when sonic wants the shard back, Dread won’t give it to him. so they will probably fight over it, it’s gonna be insane, cause of sonic trying to reason with him, and dread just won’t listen cause he’s insane and crazy.

Sonamy slow burn. This ain’t really a theory more of a prediction but still. I love how there are little but big moments of Sonamy. Seeing him softly look at her or giving her a specific look just gets me every time, and him going to her trying to charm her in the first episode, man I was like “oh how the tables have turned”. And it’s not just sonic prime that gave us healthy Sonamy, sonic frontiers did that too, which is such a relief. So yeah I do think there will be a build up or slow burn between sonic and Amy, after all it is just the first season.

sonic the hedgehog has ADHD. I-I don’t know what to say it’s pretty obvious

A bit Over the top theories:

rusty sees herself in black rose. remember the scene where rusty saw black rose, malfunctions, and told the robots to not destroy the ship? So what if rusty had a little bit of flashback or ptsd moment when she saw black rose, what if she saw herself, her happier self, her more fleshy self where she can fluently move, and she decided to tell the robots to stop because she doesn’t want black rose to get hurt the way she got hurt.

what if the different version of the sonic team get some sort of dejavu of there originals? So when shadow said that home doesn’t exist anymore, that means there is no original green hills, tails, Amy, knuckles etc. so what if in the shatterverse version of sonics friends, they get some sort of dejavu or memory of the original version of themselves, like as if they lived another life. Like maybe as the show progresses we see one of them get a little flashback of there original selves.

shadow will probably be the one who will try to reason with nine. Shadow and nine are pretty much the same, they are both broken characters, they had trauma, they don’t like the world and everyone in it, the difference? One of them has found a place to call home, and wants to protect it. So maybe shadow will reason with nine, like try to relate to him, and say that “this isn’t right”.

One interesting thing that crossed my mind yesterday: for all adaptations' talk about how Sonic is Actually A Jerkass who needs to learn to appreciate his friends, I feel like you could argue he's already become much nicer to them over the course of the games already. In SA2 he jokes that letting Knuckles pilot the space shuttle was more dangerous than Eggman would ever be, and he also has a quip about how he "has to think about" trading the Emerald for Amy's life in a recap (even if afterwards he says there's no time for jokes, but still, he said it). And in Riders, he just rammed right into Eggman with no regard Amy was there being held hostage. I truly cannot see Forces!Sonic or Frontiers!Sonic do or say any of those things to such an extremity anymore: he already feels much kinder, with his jokes still being there but being less "being able to be seen as mean" towards his friends, so to say. It was a kindness I would argue was always there, it's just become expressed more as opposed to being, well... rude aimed at others' personalities/behaviours, is the statement I am thinking of right now. What are your thoughts? ^-^

You're right :) I don't know how intentional it was, but Sonic has become gradually friendlier through the games. I think it's most apparent with Amy: he goes from that terrible line in SA2 (which, to be fair, only exists in the English translation) and generally running from her as if she was little more than a nuisance, to being openly kinder to her. (not that Sonic never respected her, I love the Gamma scene in SA1 as you know lol, but their dynamic has absolutely shifted)

And with Knuckles, I like to think that Sonic Heroes made the difference, since at the end of Team Sonic's story Sonic accepts to thank Knuckles which surprises him. See? Sonic has already learned the value of the Superpower of Teamwork™!

Unpopular opinion but I think Colors did right when it came to friends teasing each other. Sonic and Tails jokingly give themselves all the credit for saving the Wisps, but that's the thing: it's reciprocal. Sonic can be like "I didn't see do any work, Tails" because he knows that Tails can answer back with "oh yeah, good thing you were the one who found a way to understand Wisps". Sonic would never do this to a younger, less confident Tails! They're both in on the joke now! When Tails expresses once again insecurity in Lost World, Sonic is quick to reassure him that he still trusts him! Unlike a certain comic which shows Sonic picking on people who can't defend themselves or him ignoring Tails' advice only to pin the blame on him later on 🙃

It's not canon, but I like the OVA's intepretation of Classic Sonic as being kind of prickly ("SHUT UP TAILS!"). I like to imagine that Sonic did start as goodhearted but sort of aloof, and then gradually warmed up, setting aside the more pointed jabs for a more balanced teasing.

Gamescom interviewed Takashi iizuka, where he said that Shadow is not Sonic's friend. What kind of Sonadow can we talk about then?

I've already answered this before to someone else, which you can check here.

But, I'll answer again as well that that's just what Iizuka personally wants for the characters and that what he personally wants is not accurate to the official lore. He is not the owner of the series or the characters, SEGA Sammy is and he is not SEGA Sammy. He is only one worker from a single branch who has made many mistakes while being employed instead of listening to his superiors. He has made many mistakes and inconsistences already with the Shadow Generations game/animation and his views are not the same as the company that owns the series and characters who have said repeatedly that Sonic and Shadow are friends.

One such inconsistency is how in the Dark Beginnings animation 3rd episode, it stated that only Maria can talk Shadow out of something, but Sonic has been the one to talk him out of things in the present, which is stated in places like the Sonic x Shadow 2021 July Calendar Story description, in Sonic Battle where he told him he had a heart to not kill Emerl and he ended up not killing him because of his heart or in Team Sonic Racing where he distracted him from finishing off Eggman. It was never stated (that I'm aware of) that Maria talked him out of doing something in official materials with her included. She asks Shadow to help the world and people like in Sonic Adventure 2 and Shadow the Hedgehog 2005, but not to specifically stop doing something. Remembering what she asked of him to do isn't specifically her telling him to stop doing something.

Already one big media that shows that what Iizuka says is not true and is what he personally wants, which is against what the company wants for the two, is Shadow being included in Sonic & Friends.

Shadow helps Sonic as a friend even in this video by passing the ball to him so that he can continue playing with Tails and Knuckles.

Merchandise of Shadow being included in the Sonic & Friends line was even talked about recently on Sonic Team's social media account.

In many games, Shadow helps or ends up helping Sonic because they're friends. Even in Sonic Forces it is implied that Shadow is a friend because he is one of the characters that helps Sonic and in Japanese, Sonic said that it is the bonds of friendships that got him that far unlike Infinite with his fakes that lack that. Shadow also showed concern for Sonic's safety in this game or protected him from a fake Shadow hurting him when it wasn't technically necessary to, which shows they are on good terms and friends.

Also in the same game, Shadow waves good-bye to Classic Sonic with a smile and in English Infinite calls Shadow one of Sonic's friends.

There are also posts from Sonic Team where it includes Shadow as part of Sonic's friends by saying, "Sonic and Friends" when Shadow is included. There's even a post that calls Shadow one of Sonic's friends and has the concept papers for Shadow with Vegeta's name on it, which was also mentioned in that interview.

So, what Iizuka states in that interview isn't to be taken as the company's words, it is his own personal opinion. The official medias, and even to today with the Japanese account, says that Shadow is one of Sonic's friends. Therefore, it doesn't change the canonical fact that Shadow is one of Sonic's friends. Therefore, one can still talk about Sonadow as before.

Sonadow Moments in Sonic Cyber Revolution (The Enter The E.G.G.M.A.N. Arc & The Babylon Rogues Arc)

Meanwhile, Sonic landed right next to Shadow, grinning at the latter. ''How about we finally finish this?''

''I thought you'd be disappointed that the battle is already over,'' Shadow replied in a teasing tone, him and Sonic both turning towards the mech.

''Oh, I am, but I have a feeling this won't be the last one,'' Sonic responded, both getting into a starting position.

The two hedgehogs then rushed towards the mech at a speed of light, leaving only a blue and a black and orange streak behind, going into a spin-dash through each side of the mech's chest. Each of the hedgehogs landed on the opposite buildings, using the momentum to bounce off them and strike right through the mech in an X pattern in perfect sync before landing on the ground, skidding to halt as they now stood next to each other. The Death Egg Robot exploded into tiny pieces, the holographic projection vanishing as Eggman screamed in pure fury.

''I HATE THAT HEDGEHOG!''

Sonic and Shadow were joined by the rest of the team, who were cheering in relief that Eggman was finally defeated. Unknown to them, someone was watching their little celebration, standing high above on one of the buildings.

Unknown to Team Neos, Touka and Shadow were at the Solar Stadium the whole time, albeit not in the mood to engage with their fellow teammates. They had observed the whole argument between Team Neos and the Babylon Rogues, their brows furrowed when Team Neos accepted the challenge to participate in a Tag Team Race.

''They don't know what they got themselves into,'' Touka said, her hoverboard leaned against a seat as Lucas, Sonic, Warren, Tails, Lily and Knuckles approached Chase, Jet, Rika, Wave, Arven and Storm, while Minami, Amy, Makoto and Silver sat on the bleachers. A holographic screen appeared above the racing track, allowing them to follow the race between Team Neos and the Babylon Rogues while they were inside the AR Field. Touka glanced at Shadow. ''Do you think that we should've warned them?''

''No,'' Shadow replied curtly, arms folded across his chest. ''If Sonic believes that he can win this, he can try.''

''Don't tell me that you're annoyed that he's racing against Jet,'' Touka said, rising an eyebrow. Shadow scoffed.

''Tch, if I wanted to race against him, I would've done it already,'' Shadow replied, shooting a glare at Touka. ''I'm merely curious about his performance in this kind of race.''

''So, you're actually hoping that he'll win?'' Touka asked, looking intrigued. Shadow didn't answer, focusing on the screen ahead instead, with Touka just shrugging. However, knowing her little brother, even if he didn't want to admit it, she was aware that Shadow was hoping Sonic and his team would win against Jet and the Babylon Rogues, even if the odds were clearly stacked against them.

Team Neos suddenly looked up, surprised to see Touka and Shadow walking up to them.

''We figured that one out already. You don't have to rub salt in the wound,'' Lucas said bitterly, staring at Touka. Meanwhile, Sonic turned to Shadow, who had his arms folded across his chest.

''Were you guys watching the whole race?'' he asked.

''Yes, and I had expected better from you,'' Shadow said sternly. Sonic's ears were pinned back as his eyes narrowed, staring at Shadow. Both were silent for a moment, appearing to be quite tense.

''I know, and if I get another chance, I would show you and everyone that I can go beyond my own limits,'' Sonic replied, his tone uncharacteristically serious. To his surprise, Shadow smirked.

''I'm certain that you would,'' he said, unfolding his arms, giving his rival a determined gaze. ''That's why I'm challenging you to a race.''

''What?'' Sonic was stunned, his expression matching that of his friends.

''If you manage to beat me, then you'll be able to beat the Babylon Rogues,'' Shadow continued, ignoring the looks everyone was giving him. Sonic stared at him for a moment, wondering what Shadow was trying to accomplish with this, but he then nodded, figuring that his rival must've had a good reason behind this proposal.

''I accept your challenge.''

''I accept your challenge,'' Sonic said, staring at Shadow with a determined look on his expression. He didn't know why the ebony hedgehog proposed that they race against each other, but he still went along with it, feeling that there was a good reason behind Shadow's actions. He wanted to know what the purpose of this challenge was. ''Which track do you want to race on?''

''You can pick any track you want,'' Shadow replied, extending his hand as an orb of data particles appeared before him, forming into a hoverboard. Sonic picked up his own, but just as he was about to walk over to the holographic screen to select a track, Lucas interrupted them.

''Wait a second, Shadow… What are you trying to do?'' he asked.

''I'm trying to prove a point,'' Shadow replied, with Lucas noting how this wasn't an explanation of what he was up to. He turned to Touka with a questioning look, who shrugged.

''Maybe you should just watch the race,'' she said, beckoning to them to follow her to the bleachers. Meanwhile, Sonic and Shadow prepared themselves for the race, Sonic having selected Tempo City as their racing track and still wondering what Shadow was up to. He trusted his rival, but that didn't mean he didn't have any questions. However, he was confident he would get an answer.

''You said that if I want to beat Jet, I'd have to beat you first,'' Sonic said, stepping on his hoverboard. ''But, last time we raced against each other, we always ended up in a tie. So, where's this confidence coming from?''

''I had some practice since last time,'' Shadow replied, already standing on his hoverboard. Sonic grinned at the idea of having an even bigger challenge. Both looked up at the holographic screen above flashing from red to yellow to green as the AR Field formed.

READY? SET! GO!!

Kicking off, Sonic and Shadow flew right into the AR Field, revealing itself to be an urban area, with tall buildings, archways and towers surrounding them. As this wasn't a Tag Race, there weren't any Power Boxes, meaning they had to rely on their surroundings, rails, accelerators and shortcuts to get the advantage over the other racer. Sonic grinned as he leapt onto an accelerator, getting ahead for a moment, with Shadow being right behind him. He wasn't too worried about losing this one, as he was very familiar with Tempo City's layout.

''You still have to show those skills you've been talking about!'' Sonic shouted as he and Shadow leapt onto a rail as it spiraled into the downtown area. Shadow didn't answer, narrowing his eyes and focusing on his next move. There was a stream of wind just before the end of the rail, with Shadow kicking off and leaping on the stream, getting into a half-crouch as he held onto his hoverboard, with the stream carrying him ahead of Sonic and landing on the ground in front of his rival. Sonic's jaw dropped slightly, as he didn't expect this kind of move. ''Woah, not bad!''

''Hmph!'' Hearing this comment, Shadow briefly turned his head towards Sonic, smirking, then focused back on the track. Meanwhile, outside the track, Team Neos were watching the race between Sonic and Shadow via one of the holographic screens that popped up whenever a track was in use.

''Wait, a minute, I didn't know that you could actually do that!'' Minami said. She and the rest of

''Tch, of course you can,'' Touka replied, drawing everyone's attention. ''However, the issue is that most racers don't think to use that particular shortcut because it can get difficult to time the right moment you'd have to leap onto that wind stream and the landing can be a bit hard if you don't know what you're doing. That's why people usually avoid it.''

Back on the track, Sonic and Shadow were racing through a street that had its walls decorated in graffiti. Shadow was still ahead of Sonic, but the cobalt hedgehog smirked as he knew that there were several curves at this track along with rails he could grind on to pass by Shadow. He was slowly getting closer and closer, boosting ahead of Shadow when he slowed down at one curve and leapt onto one of the rails and accelerating. Grinning, he looked back, spotting Shadow right behind him.

''Seems like I had managed to get ahead of you,'' he said.

''You're still not focused,'' Shadow told him, his eyes flicking to the side. He smirked, grabbing onto the side of his hoverboard and leaping off the rail, much to Sonic's confusion. He looked around, wondering where Shadow went to, only to realize that the ebony hedgehog had managed to get onto one of the walls that surrounded this part of the track. He was still slower than Sonic, but this was quickly made up by the walls curving up and having accelerators plastered all over. While Sonic had to leap off the rail first to get on the accelerator, Shadow simply sped down the wall, boosting ahead and getting the lead.

''Woah!'' Sonic had to admit that this was an impressive move as they entered a tunnel. He managed to gain some slight speed, but he just couldn't surpass Shadow.

''Hmph.'' Shadow briefly glanced back, slowly down slightly so he and Sonic were racing roughly at the same speed, with Sonic rising his eyebrow as Shadow addressed him, ''Why have you accepted the Babylon Rogues' challenge? What was your plan for beating them?''

''Huh?'' Sonic blinked at first, saying the first thing that came to his mind, ''Well, I was trying to outspeed them? Isn't that the point of a race?''

''Maybe in a Solo Race, but not in a Tag Team Race,'' Shadow replied, kicking off and using one of the accelerator to the side to gain more speed. Sonic followed him, his eyes narrowing as his attention was fully on his rival, who had a holographic screen opened next to him. ''Think about it! How did you manage to win your previous battles? How did you defeat Dr. Eggman?''

Sonic gave Shadow a confused look, wondering why the ebony hedgehog was asking him that, but then thought about it for a moment. ''It wasn't just me… We all fought Eggman together and…'' He grinned. ''I had my friends supporting me.''

''Then, do you understand why you lost in a Tag Team Race?'' Shadow asked, with Sonic rolling his eyes.

''Yeah, I do. Thanks for the lesson, Shads,'' Sonic replied, the latter bit being slightly sarcastic. Both of them then used another stream of wind to exit the tunnel.

Meanwhile, back at the bleachers, Touka had a holographic screen open in front of her, allowing for the whole group to hear the conversation. She noticed the looks of discomfort on Warren, Tails and Lily's expressions; Knuckles just stared ahead blankly, being deep in thought; while Lucas just sighed as he felt a strong sense of embarressement. He felt that he should've realized this earlier, as looking back on the race, they weren't exactly working together, being focused on just trying to outspeed Chase and Jet.

''Going by your expressions, you never had a clear strategy when going into this race,'' Touka said, crossing her arms across the chest. ''Have you ever participated at a Tag Team Race before?''

''…No,'' Lucas admitted, with Warren, Tails, Lily and Knuckles shaking their heads. ''This was our first time.''

''Hmph, I guess we can talk about that once Shadow and Sonic join us,'' Touka said, turning her attention back to the screen.

Meanwhile, Sonic and Shadow have entered the last part of their race, speeding down the street, with platforms floating above them. At this point, they were both going at the same speed, with Shadow drawing Sonic's attention by asking another question, ''What do you plan to do now?''

''First of all, I'm going to beat you!'' Sonic replied as he leapt onto an accelerator, boosting away. He was confident that he could defeat Shadow in this race, but to his surprise, the ebony hedgehog started weaving behind him, gaining momentum and using a nearby wall as a ramp to leap onto the platforms above them, then quickly boost down right in front of Sonic, once again taking the lead.

''Hey!'' Sonic yelled, but Shadow turned back to him with a smug smirk.

''Only because you have learned your lesson doesn't mean I'm going to let you win!'' he replied, the two passing only a few seconds later through the finish line, the AR Field behind them vanishing and both of them finding themselves back at the Solar Stadium; with Shadow being the clear winner.

Despite losing, Sonic didn't feel bad about it, as this was a race he had been looking for and he actually really enjoyed it. He turned to Shadow, who got off his hoverboard, holding up his hand curled into a fist. Shadow gave it an uncertain look at first, but then went along with the fist-bump.

''That was a great race! Thanks for the challenge!'' Sonic said, with Shadow just nodding in response. They were approached by the rest of the group, with Sonic noticing that Lucas was mulling over something. ''I know that look. What's your plan?''

''You can read it if you want, but the gist of it is that the Babylon Rogues had won the Tag Team Hoverboard Racing Tournament held in Mikado City two months ago, despite having participated at it for the first time,'' Touka added, folding her arms across her chest. ''Unless you kept up with the news, you couldn't have known that you were going against professionals.''

''That explains a lot,'' Knuckles said in a dry tone. His teammates' confidence started to falter slightly, with Sonic suddenly turning towards Touka and Shadow.

''Hey, if you two knew this the whole time, why didn't you warn us?'' Sonic asked, placing his hands on his hips, his gaze being mainly directed towards Shadow.

''We had figured that someone like you would know what you were getting yourself into,'' Shadow replied, then shrugged. ''I guess we were wrong.''

Sonic was mildly irked, glaring at Shadow, but he did figure that he probably should've thought this one through.

''What are you guys going to do now?'' Silver asked. ''You guys did agree to another race.''

''If you want, Shadow and I could train you for it,'' Touka suggested, getting some surprised looks from her teammates. She rose an eyebrow. ''Why are you staring at me like that?''

''We just didn't expect you to offer us help. Usually, you guys just avoid any social interactions,'' Minami pointed out.

''We'll make an exception for this case,'' Shadow replied, only for his ears to twitch when he heard Sonic whistling.

''Wow, and I thought you'd only join us during world-ending scenarios,'' Sonic said sarcastically, elbowing Shadow.

''We merely decided to spare you from further embarrassement,'' Shadow responded, with the two just staring at each other intensely. After a moment of awkward silence, which seemed to last an eternity, Amy got between the two, turning to Shadow.

''We'll definitely prove them wrong,'' Sonic said confidently.

''Just don't get too cocky. You have yet to win a race,'' Shadow told him.

''Don't worry about that Shads. Even if I can't beat you, I'm sure I can beat Jet,'' Sonic replied. Shadow just snorted.

''I guess I'll never understand how you can be this optimistic,'' he muttered under his breath, quiet enough for only Sonic to hear him.

Sonic just grinned back in response.

Roles in THWDLM

Shadow takes on the same role as Paul. He's the guy who doesn't like musicals. He's the first to realize everyone singing constantly is weird, even by Mobius's standards. He teams up with his friends to figure out what's wrong and stop it- except, Sonic is missing. Hmm.

Rouge is Shadow's #1 ally, similar to Emma. However, rather than a romantic dynamic between the two, they're much like siblings. Just an immortal hedgehog and his older thief sister on their way to try to save the world.

Sonic and Amy are the Sam and Charlotte of this situation. Amy realizes Sonic isn't with the group, so everyone sets out to find him. He's saved the world so many times, no reason he can't do it now! Unfortunately, he's dead. He's a singing alien zombie, just like much of the town. He's already taken the Chaotix into the hivemind, and after getting his brain knocked out with a trash can lid by Knuckles, he's taking Amy down with him.

Knuckles is the brawn of the team. As long as he can stay alive, the group is safe, because he can fight the infected off the easiest without weapons. All he's gotta do is survive, and not dwell too much on the loss of his friends.

Vanilla and Silver follow the same role as each other. The day the hivemind infection broke out, Vanilla was out of the house, as Blaze took care of Cream and Marine. With insanely perfect timing, as soon as Vanilla realized the trio were on their own, Silver came in from the future in a panic, demanding to see Blaze. Vanilla and Silver agreed to make sure Blaze, Cream, and Marine were safe, and to take them into the group if they were. Unfortunately... they weren't, and soon Vanilla and Silver weren't either.

Tails and the Chaotix were working separately from each other for the same purpose- research the infection and stop it. They figured they could cover more ground if they were split up, but the Chaotix refused to leave each other, so the three would report their findings back to Tails. But when Sonic got the jump on the team, Tails was left alone to work. He realized that as the alien blood was infecting Mobian blood, the safest way to remove it would be Chaos Control- and even that proved useless. Stumped and panicking, Tails was frozen to his chair as the Chaotix broke down the door to the lab and attacked. Knuckles and Tails were in their hands, and Rouge barely made it out alive with Shadow.

Blaze and Marine had been called by the Sol Emeralds to Mobius a few days prior to the infiltration, much like how Silver's time travel called him because the past was in danger. However, whatever danger was to come hadn't showed its face yet, so the two stayed with Vanilla and Cream. Vanilla left for about an hour to get groceries, leaving Blaze in charge of taking care of both little girls. But in the time Vanilla was gone, she was forced into hiding with the group, as Blaze tried to keep everything under control. Her efforts to keep the infected away were useless, and she and Cream were infected. Marine quickly hid in the basement, locking the door behind her. When Vanilla and Silver arrived, Cream and Blaze attacked them. Now infected, they managed to coax Marine out of the basement and took her into the hivemind as well.

Into, Across and Beyond! Scripting: MtOU Epilogue

During More than One Universe and Hanelm Crackdown's epilogue, OMT!Tails finally found Richard out on the streets, sleeping alone without anywhere to go to. Tails felt very sorry for the kid, knowing he deserved a permanent place to live, as he hopped down to Richard's level.

OMT!Tails: Hey, Richard?

Richard: Y-Yeah...?

His left eye was permanently black with grey sclera, and he was still in a bad condition after the final fight.

OMT!Tails: I can tell you regret all that happened, huh?

Richard (teared up): T-Tails, I... S-Sally... I... Y-You should've k-killed me... f-finished the job... I-I would've d-deserved you killing m-me... W-Why help me...?

OMT!Tails: Nitro's silent intervention showed me that revenge would never be satisfying, and it would've tainted who I am otherwise... Like I said, and like Sally said when we were at the house before, this is what we do. We help people. And you're still not beyond helping, Richard.

Tails had already got a room set up back at his home in advance for an offer he was about to propose...

OMT!Tails: Hey... You're more than welcome to live here with me.

In response to this offer, Richard immediately hugged OMT!Tails tight, black tears pouring from his eyes as he sobbed loudly from the overwhelming guilt and trauma he had faced. In return, OMT!Tails hugged him back, gently rubbing his back to comfort him.

OMT!Tails: Hey, hey. It's alright. I got you.

Richard: T-Thanks, Tails...

His gesture clearly reminded Richard of when OMT!Sally took him in out of the goodness in her heart and gave him good hospitality and understanding before things went out of control. She even considered taking him in as a second, human brother, so this compromise was still sweet for him. And on cue, Sarah showed up, having just heard about OMT!Tails's position.

OMT!Tails: Sarah?

Sarah: Hey, Tails. Is... it okay if I move here, too? I feel Richard could use a bit of extra support while he gets his footing here.

OMT!Tails: Of course you can!

Sarah: Heh, sweet!

Richard: You... You'd really do that for me, Sarah?

Sarah: Of course!

Richard: What about Lily back home?

Sarah: She's made plans for coming here too after hearing about my decision. Just means we won't be apart for good now, heh.

OMT!Tails: I'm happy to hear you two got back together after the resurrection, Sarah.

Sarah: Thanks! You know, I really gotta get in the swing of being more of a hero now. I mean, I do have the right criteria for it, if only I wasn't blinded by hate back then.

OMT!Tails: I mean, I could give you some extra training, of course! The Sonics I know trained me up for my current role, so it's only fair that I can pass on that knowledge!

Sarah: Awesome!

OMT!Knuckles and OMT!Amy came by.

OMT!Knuckles: You bringing Richard into the family?

OMT!Tails: Heh, yeah. He really deserves it.

Richard: I... I never thought you would forgive me for what happened, but... I'm happy I've been treated with care since I came here for the first time. Thank you... all of you.

OMT!Amy: You're welcome!

OMT!Tails: I'm gonna go see off the others. Then I'll join you guys for some ice-cream!

Sarah: Awesome!

OMT!Cream: Yay! Ice cream!

OMT!Knuckles: Come along, Richard! Our sundae treats await!

He playfully hoisted Richard onto his shoulder as they headed off with a smile each.

OMT!Amy: This is definitely a happy ending to remember. It's a shame Sally couldn't be here to see us now, but I'm sure she'd be proud. We got so much more to experience in life from here. You, Tails, got all sorts of wingmen! The perfect friends to continue growing up with!

OMT!Tails (softly smiling): ...I got a lot more than that... sister.

OMT!Amy teared up with a smile hearing this comment, watching as he headed back to Robotnik's base to see the Blur Gang and other multiversal heroes off. He got there sure enough, with them there waiting for him.

OMT!Tails: Thanks for being there for me, all of you. I don't know if I could've even done this without you there.

CR!Sonic: Anytime, bud! That's what we're all here for!

EX!Alice: The machine's all ready to go! We just need the different coordinates for our ways back!

OMT!Tails configured each one accordingly.

OMT!Tails: Alright. Devy, Smol Devy, you guys first.

Smol Devy immediately ran to hug OMT!Tails tightly.

Smol Devy: Me going to miss you.

OMT!Tails: Heh, don't worry, little guy. It's not gonna be goodbye forever.

Nine: He's right. We can arrange to meet a lot more often as our own team! But what to call it...?

Mini Sonic: What about the Speed Team?

BK!Amy: Or the Speedstars?

OMT!Mina: I know! How about... the Blur Gang!

CR!Sonic: Hey! I can roll with that!

D-Sides Mighty: Cool by me!

OMT!Tails: That's perfect!

Devy: Sure is! Well, time for us to get going. See you next time we meet, buddy!

OMT!Tails: See you, Devy! Good luck with the proposal to Vanilla!

They nodded to each other before Devy and Smol Devy made their leave.

Ex-Prince Brian: Before I head out with my crew, I'd like you to have this, bud.

He passed Tails a special hand-made vase.

Ex-Prince Brian: It's one I made myself!

OMT!Tails: Heh, sweet!

Ex-Prince Brian: 'Til our paths cross once more, friend!

Close by, the Sonics were preparing to part ways with each other.

EV!Sonic: Alright. I think this is it, guys. Seems like you're all ready to go home!

MFF!Sonic: Yeah, we are.

CU!Sonic: Guess this is where we part ways for now.

EV!Sonic: You know, I just wanted to say, uh...

CR!Sonic: Don't worry, bud. It's just what we do as the Blue Blurs of our respective dimensions.

EV!Sonic: Yeah. It's what we do. Er...

He enveloped the three in a group hug, crying tears of joy.

EV!Sonic: Thank you thank you thank you thank you!

MFF!Sonic: Hehe! Thanks, Error Sonic!

Close by, MV!Sonic was present in spirit, smiling to the positive outcome from the whole thing. He was sitting by a spiritual chessboard, where his version of Chaos managed to beat him at chess AGAIN.

MV!Sonic: Hmm? Ah! You win again! You clever god.

MFF!Sonic walked up to Ex-Prince Brian and the cured/redeemed Sonath.

MFF!Sonic: Alright then! Let's head back home!

Ex-Prince Brian: You got it!

Sonath: Beach hangout later?

MFF!Sonic: You bet!

They left.

OMT!Tails: Okay. Antho, older me, you next!

MV!Tails: I'm proud of how far you've come, little me. Heh, I can't believe I've been helping a younger version of myself through this.

Antho: Good luck, buddy! I know you'll do the island very proud!

OMT!Tails: Thanks, Antho! I'm sure you'll do everyone proud, too!

They shared a fist-bump as MV!Tails left, with Antho following behind doing a cool somersault.

CU!Sonic: Alright. Let's get back home, mini-blue!

CU!Sonia: Of course, dad!

CU!Sonic: Catch you later, Tails.

They smiled to each other.

CU!Sonia: Hey! High-five before we go?

OMT!Tails: Of course!

They shared one before waving each other off.

Wacky: You know, this whole multiversal craziness has given me tons more friends to be around.

OMT!Tails: Glad to hear it, Wacky!

Hog: I wouldn't mind hangin' out with you more often! I'd love to kick Dr. Sunnyside's butt someday!

Wacky: Heh! We can definitely arrange that! Well, see you next time!

She saluted her friends before departing.

BK!Amy: This sure has been one crazy ride, hasn't it?

Nitro: Sure has!

OMT!Tails: Have fun with those amulets, Amy!

BK!Amy: Aww, thanks, Tails!

She gave him a happy hug which he happily reciprocated, before leaving while waving goodbye to her friends.

D-Sides Honey: You guys ready to head home?

D-Sides Mighty: Pretty much!

D-Sides Ray: Yep!

Hefty: I'm... not sure if I'm ready to yet.

Nitro: Hey, don't feel bad, Hefty. In the vast space of the multiverse, the chances of us meeting again are quite high.

Hefty: Heh, I guess so.

They shared a hug between each other, before Hefty held D-Sides Honey's hand for the return trip.

D-Sides Honey: Let's go, little softie.

Hefty: Heh, yeah.

D-Sides Mighty: Good luck out there, Tails! And remember, do your own thing with heroics!

OMT!Tails: Heh, you got it!

The D-Sides gang left.

Nine: And I guess it's time for me to go, too. Catch you all later!

Nine made his leave.

Mini Sonic: Guess that leaves pretty much our original batch!

EX!Alice: Yep!

OMT!Tails: Well, aside from Mr. NM, of course. Shame he had to miss out, but knowing him, he'd have probably thrown in comedy at the wrong time.

Mini Sonic: Yeah, that's fair. Well, hopefully, we'll all be back together next time!

OMT!Tails: Have a safe trip home!

EX!Alice: See you around, Tails. And thanks for everything!

Mini Sonic: Stay way past cool, dude!

OMT!Tails: Will do!

The two allies left through respective portals.

CR!Sonic: And with that leaves the three of us and our new companions from that Errorverse place. Guess that's my cue to fly back home! My family must be gettin' worried.

OMT!Tails: Heh, no worries. You should definitely bring your kids over sometime! I'd love to personally meet them!

CR!Sonic: Eh, I'll try to arrange that. No guarantees, but we'll see!

OMT!Tails: Awesome! Bye for now, Sonic!

CR!Sonic: See ya, champ! Come on, Hog!

Hog: Coming along now! See ya, Tails!

OMT!Tails: Bye-hop! Haha!

They shared a fist-bump before CR!Sonic and Hog left with a bound into his portal.

EV!Knuckles: Looks like we're all set!

EV!Amy: We've got plenty to do back home, and I'm glad we could save the day once more!

EV!Tails: Well, let's get going!

EV!Eggman: A perfect recipe for cooking up my next big scheme in the future!

EV!Knuckles: Just get through that portal, Baldy McNosehair!

EV!Eggman: Oh, for-! Fine.

He headed through.

OMT!Tails: I guess this is farewell for now, Sally.

EV!Sally: I'm definitely going to find a way to come back here some other time for you, Tails. If you ever need me about to hang out, you know where I am!

OMT!Tails: Heh, sweet!

They shared a close hug together.

EV!Sally: Take care of yourself, little bro.

OMT!Tails: You too, big sis.

They split the hug as she and most of the other present Errorverse crew made their leave, leaving Nitro, Benjamin and EV!Sonic as those yet to leave.

Benjamin: You still want me to sign that autograph for you, Tails?

OMT!Tails: Yes, please!

Benjamin: Well, here you go, then!

He jotted his signature on a notebook.

Benjamin: Okay, there we go! See ya later, buddy!

OMT!Tails: You too, Ben!

Benjamin left, and as EV!Sonic prepared to as well, he saw Nitro wasn't yet leaving.

EV!Sonic: You coming, Chris?

Nitro: I'll be with you guys shortly. Just gotta wrap up something before I come.

EV!Sonic: Heh, no problem.

He left the remaining three to it.

OMT!Tails: So, it's just you guys left to go, right?

OMT!Mina: Yeah... But I ain't gonna leave you behind, Tails.

OMT!Tails: Wait, what?

OMT!Mina: Yeah! I'm gonna be sticking around here! We definitely got a lot of stuff to be doing together!

OMT!Tails: Aww, awesome!

Nitro: There's something I also wanted to share with you guys before I departed.

OMT!Mina: Go ahead!

Nitro closed his eyes as his body shifted... into his human appearance.

OMT!Tails: Woah! You're human too!

Nitro: Heh, yeah. It's been my thing since I was born. The hedgehog state was more of a side-point for me.

OMT!Mina: You know, come to think of it... hasn't this happened before?

OMT!Tails: Now that you mention it, these events have been pretty familiar.

Nitro: Well, no matter what timeline we're in, I think we can agree we've remained a tightly-knit multiversal team to the end, guys!

OMT!Tails: We sure have!

Nitro: Well, have fun continuing to protect the island, guys! And I'll see you again whenever we next choose to cross paths!

OMT!Mina: You got it, Nitro!

The three shared a fist-bump between each other before Nitro headed out, though not before looking back to his friends with a smile.

OMT!Tails: Well, guess that's that for the time being, then.

Kaede arrived in good time to see the two together.

Kaede: Heh, you two are so cute with each other!

OMT!Mina: W-What?! No we aren't!

Kaede: Aww, come on! I can see it.

OMT!Tails: Heh, yeah. Well, it's time for me to head off to have some ice-cream with my friends.

OMT!Mina: Let's get going, buddy!

They shared a fist bump before leaping out the fortress as Kaede followed them, gearing up into her Detective Ghost gear mid-fall.

You guys ever have that issue where you’ve got a bunch of au ideas and you have no idea which one to start talking about?

Well, I decided to let you guys decide which au to start with using a poll!

Some info about each au:

Sonic generations Linked Au: An au of sonic generations where when the time eater shows up and messes up time, Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Amy have to team up with their classic selves to find both the time stones and the chaos emeralds in order to fix everything. The time stones are used to free Sonic’s friends and create portals into locations from the past, but the catch is that using them attracts the time eater. The chaos emeralds can be used to repel and later fight back against the time eater, but they got scattered throughout time and space when the time eater attacked Sonic’s birthday party.

Ace attorney dual destinies rewrite: a rewrite where Phoenix got his attorney’s badge back, but is reluctant to use it due to a fear of messing things up again. The fact that the legal system has deteriorated to a point where one case caused everyone to start rioting doesn’t help. Clay and pearl show up earlier in the story, Klavier has a bigger role in the Themis case, and overall there’s a little more emotional weight in some scenes.

Ace attorney spirit of justice rewrite: Ok, this one is where things are WAY more different. After Phoenix tells Apollo and Trucy the truth about their heritage, both of them are furious and want to confront Lamiroir for trying to keep that a secret for much longer. There’s just one problem: Lamoroir is taking a break from performing and went to the place where she met the man that she truly loved: Khura’in. With this in mind, and knowing that he can’t really stop them, Phoenix sends Apollo and Trucy to where Maya is staying in Khura’in so that they can find Lamiroir, and they get caught up in what’s going on with the legal system over there. In the meantime, Dhurke comes to the states to look for Apollo and the Orb, and ended up finding Phoenix, who is not very happy to see him. While Trucy and Apollo are investigating in Khura’in, Dhurke and Phoenix investigate in Kurain village, with the help of Pearl.

Sonic forces rewrite: (I know there are so many sonic forces rewrites out there already, but I might as well throw my hat into the ring) A rewrite where classic sonic isn’t there, and the phantom ruby incident happened when sonic and the others were younger. When Eggman digs through his old files and finds some notes on the phantom ruby, he decides to give it another shot, this time with a live host. When Infinite attacks and knocks out sonic, Tails tries to carry him out of there, but gets knocked out in the process. Flash forward a few months, Eggman is in the process of taking over the world, and the resistance is fighting back with three leaders: Knuckles, Amy, and Tails. When Infinite attacks the custom character (Rookie), Tails is the one who saves him and leads him to the resistance. Also, Tails has a little wisp friend with him. When they hear a rumor that Sonic is alive in one of Eggman’s prisons, Tails and the Rookie have to work together in order to find him while also freeing places and people from Eggman’s control. In the meantime, from Sonic’s perspective, he has to find a way to break out of the prison and find out how to stop the phantom ruby in its new form, but infinite’s illusions and a speed limiter they put on him will make things even more difficult.

Balan Wonderworld Rewrite: Less of a rewrite and more of a complete rehaul of the story, but without changing the characters. Their motivations on the other hand… (I know a lot of people hate the game, I’m not the biggest fan of it either, but I liked the idea of it). The main gist of the story is that the protagonist has to go on a journey to patch up their “heart” as Balan calls it, and in order to get there, they have to assist Balan in helping other people first (I know that’s a vague explanation, but I feel like it would be easier to show in comic form than like this…)

"Sticks actually already knew him when he crashed into the village, apparently," Sonic speaks up first. "She keeps muttering something about him being some kind of nemesis?? I dunno. I thought he was pretty cool! And he is! Even though he's technically Shadow's brother...hate that guy."

"It was all so interesting to me!" Tails continued. "I mean, a real life alien? RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME? And not just something conjured up by another one of Sticks' crazy theories? (Don't tell her I said that) I wanted to know more about him! Turns out he wasn't as complex as I thought he would be. I'd say he was more interested in all the stuff in my lab than anything I could ever ask him!"

"WE MAKE THE BEST COCONUT HURL TEAM EVER!!" Knuckles cuts in to exclaim. "We knock down every single one, every single time!!"

"Woah woah woah, you played without me???" Sonic looked a bit offended by the statement.

"Sorry Sonic," Eclipse suddenly teleported in beside the others. "We're friends and all, but y'know. Survival of the fittest and all that."

"ITS THE ALIEN," Sticks shouts, pulling a tinfoil hat out of seemingly nowhere. "I TOLD YOU, HE NEVER LEAVES!!! HE'S FOLLOWING US ALL TO PLOT OUR INEVITBLE DOOOOOMMMMM!!!"

Everyone stares.

My thoughts on Sonic Frontiers

I really enjoyed it and appreciate everyone not spoiling it for me :) I meant to post about Frontiers months ago, but this took forever for some reason. Naturally, there’ll be spoilers under the cut.

(Are Frontiers details still considered spoilers? Idk. If they are, let me know!)

I like how many callbacks there were to previous characters and events. It made it feel like an actual narrative with greater stakes. There’s actual continuity now!

Tails and Knuckles were handled better than I ever could have anticipated. I haven’t loved them so much in years! I couldn’t ask for more.

Eggman and Sage are standouts. I’m interested to see how they’ll write Sage moving forward. I could see her feeling torn between supporting Sonic or Eggman.

I feel...conflicted about Amy in this game. Her compassion is there, at least, and she's not the bland cheerleader she was in Forces. She wasn’t a jerk like in Free Riders, either. Thing is, though, what I love most about Amy is how fierce she can be. It’s directly tied to her brand of kindness. She needs those strong feelings, both the good and the bad, to be her. And there was barely a glimmer of it in Frontiers. I was so excited when it finally popped up and she argued with Sonic about not doing enough to help the Kokos, but she backed off really quickly. She just got shut down.

I fear that the writers have decided a milder Amy is more “mature” than her fiery, feisty former self. I don’t want them to make her boring because they’re afraid of what she used to be. I’m scared that the Amy I grew to love is gone for good because people think she needs to be “Nice.”

She needs that energy. She needs that spark. She carries around a giant hammer, for Chaos’ sake. You can’t give her a giant hammer and then tell me she doesn’t have guts and a temper.

We already have Cream. We need Amy!

I’m hoping it’s just a side-effect of Frontiers’ somber setting. Ian Flynn *gets* her, so if they keep giving him more influence, then I have hope. And this is still an improvement in some ways.

As a side note, they really toned down her crush, huh? They emphasized how important love is to her (as they should), but none of it really seemed directed specifically at Sonic. Every time she mentioned love, she looked away from him. And if she’d decided to go on a journey to spread love around the world in literally any other game, she’d have invited him...but she didn’t in this one. And he showed no interest in joining her. Idk. I’m not saying she’s over him--I don’t think she is--but I’ve been seeing Sonic x Amy fans going nuts over this game for months now and calling them “canon,” and I don’t know why.

I saw far more chemistry between Sonic and Knuckles, no contest.

This game does a great job making use of the characters’ strengths. I love how Knuckles got to show his expertise with the ruins. I love how Amy was able to point out the freshly-recovered nature of Kronos Island, implying she goes back to the towns they’ve helped in the past and checks up on how they’re doing. In a game where Sonic’s friends can do so little, these details say a lot.

I was disappointed when Sonic’s cyber-corruption was immediately fixed by the cheesy “let’s hold hands” Power of Friendship deus ex machina moment. Cyber-corruption was built up for the entire game as something debilitating that couldn’t be easily fixed. Sonic was straight-up deteriorating, barely able to stand, and the stakes felt extremely high. Making it harder to undo all that--and bringing in his friends to do so and repay everything he’d been doing for them--would be ideal to me. This would have been the perfect place for the new story and playable characters they’ve promised! Give them their own missions! Use the corruption as a reason Sonic has to be sidelined! It’s obvious the devs were feeling the time crunch by that point in the game, so I don’t blame them too much, but it would’ve been seamless.

As it is, though, I am absolutely thrilled that I’ll get to play as Amy again!!! It’s been so long, and some leaks have been hinting at Origins Amy DLC, too!!

Give me the hammer! It’s! Her! Turn!

Finally, I’m really excited to see what they do with the time skip--or at least I’m assuming it’ll be a time skip. They’re all going on journeys and Tails literally said “You won’t even recognize me the next time you see me,” so I’d say it’s pretty cut-and-dried. New powers, designs, etc? Who knows?
