by their second fight, metal hated to realize that the only reason he was stronger was because he was the reverse.

tell me about the bad guys

ok so the main fic is literally just. the dreamworks movie but with sonic characters, for the most part, but there are still a lot of fun twists going on- like amy and rouge having a little thief feud, or sonic managing to get virtually everyone to cut contact with him instead of just being a famous well liked hero.

HOWEVER there are many spinoffs that have so much going on. we learn what tails was doing, since he was completely absent and mentioned to be missing in the main story. we tie up the loose ends with the diamond cutters. we have a halloween special, we see sonic snap, we let duo have nightmares, and we also get to see rouge and amy's bet in action!!

in other words go read it it's fun, up to you if you want to read it in chronological order or to just start at the main fic and go from there

ok so shadow is actually an alien by technicality, he was made in part with alien dna, so sometimes people draw him in early developmental stages like weird blob :] he's not like that in the trailer tho but now you mention it im manifesting Slug Fetus Shadow in the film

this is an ENTIRE can of worms but of course i want to open it!

so the characters' status as aliens varies depending on what continuity. the comics published under the company IDW are in the same canon as the games, and there's no clear answer on whether they're on earth or another planet. in the 90s cartoons and the comics published by archie, they're on the planet Mobius. and i haven't seen sonic x the whole way through so i don't remember if that's mobius but they ARE from another planet, and same goes for the paramount movies.

HOWEVER!! shadow's status as an alien is consistent, because he is a lab baby. he was genetically engineered to have a hedgehog body, but also was made with the help of an alien race called the black arms. their leader, black doom, donated some of his dna to shadow's creation, making shadow functionally immortal, insanely powerful, and immune to every disease except the Zombie Robot Virus™️

actual question what´s the context behind your banner it looks SO fricking cool

i have a wip horror au called "smile while you suffocate" (idwhow reference!) which is an infection au where breathing in certain pollens will cause vines to grow beneath the skin, then pierce through the skin. from there they wrap around the face or neck to suffocate victims and then feed on their body's nutrients.

so the banner is of knuckles being infected! i kinda want to redo it tho just because i feel like i could have done the gore better? but if i do the remake won't be my banner because imagine opening a blog and being jumpscared by that
