I was gonna answer this earlier but the lack of sleep reared its head 😅 I took a nap and in the meantime received permission to talk about it, though just in case I will still try to keep it brief. A P’heer child does exist in a few of our verses (we aren't lying when we call it the MULTIverse of madness, I can name at least 7 different AUs off the top of my head and that's not counting the variants where only small changes are made. If we ever made a comprehensive list it'd probably be longer than the list of our OCs and that one’s currently up to 31)

Anyway, her name is Nazra, born in about 153 AG if I remember my timeline right, and she’s a combustionbender. But despite being the same height as her mom, possessing easily the deadliest ability imaginable and generally looking rather intimidating, she’s an impossibly awkward nerd who’d rather sit around and read Air Nomad philosophy like her dad all day. Though she does take after her mom in the romantic sense, having a soft spot for airbenders, while simultaneously doing it better because she’s the definition of a disaster lesbian. She’s quiet, a bit anxious and really sheltered, but she does have a feisty streak to her in that she easily calls people (read: her sister/s) out on their bullshit if they annoy her, and isn’t afraid to use her bending to protect those she loves

The reason I’m not quite sure of the extent as to which I’m allowed to talk about her is because she’s not my OC and neither is she Kat’s. She was created for the fic Empty and Become Wind by Esaleyon, a Red Lotus Korra AU which Kat used to beta read for and which we use as basis for the Ultimate AU I described in my response to the Lien-Hua ask. But as far as I know, the author quit writing/the fandom and as I said above, Kat and I took Nazra in, so to speak. But she features in only a small handful of our AUs (currently only 3 come to mind, one of them ironically being the complete polar opposite to the other two in terms of tone and how dark the storyline is) so we don’t speak of her that often. She is still very dear to my heart, has been since 2020, and in the AUs she features in I consider her a sister to Suiren and Midori

he is so spoiled when he gets sick he actually loves it because he can be dramatic as much as he want and you probably wouldn’t complain because he’s just your poor boyfriend and all he needs is love and care .

He’s so clingy and if you left his site for five minutes you’re gonna hear the loudest cry out ever and you will regret the time that you decide to go out he kinda does it on purpose and in the same time not because Uno gets some extra stuff than most people when he is sick,mostly all of his body hurts and his muscles are ao sore and weak he will whine about it because even turning left or right painful for him so you have to massage him with Voltarol gel as he cries a little.

Cant sleep with out ear cleaning because he becomes more sensitive to every noise and wants a real life asmr , when you guys are out to check on him and give him his medicine he lay on you the whole session and would even hide himself in your neck.

Loves loves warm drinks specially tea and milk Soup and whatever that’s more like a babies food that you make for him he will lick the plate he says that your food is so gentle that it can fix his illness.

Wont be able to do his daily routine so he count on you to do his skincare or even get him to the bathroom it’s kind of actually sad because he used to always wake before you and he was the one to tickle you while he was picking you up to the bathroom in the morning so you wont get even a little mad and just kiss his forehead and ask him if had a good sleep.

He usually grits his teeth as he’s asleep but when he is sick he don’t do that because he focused on breathing so you won’t hear any noises but his little breath trying to get in , will wake up in the middle of the night and call your name whining until he sees you “baby..y/n babe?..” cough “love?mmm!” just so you will put him to sleep and go back to your bed.

Like uno like being spoiled but also has a self control sort of when it comes to express his pain he won’t whine that much but he will be all over you .

Another surprising thing about this guy that he loses his appetite so you have to force him to eat all three meals also on top of that his medicine and warm drinks, he would feel discussed about the food that he usually eat there’s something about the sentence of every dish makes him want to throw up .

He loses half of his energy plus urge to fight and won’t be very active with anyone unless it’s you and when you are gone he just skipped it by sleeping until you get back.

He’s not too clingy but he is more attracted to you than ever like you could just get this man his medicine with a spoon and he will just stare at you with a puppy eyes and play with your hair and tell you that you look so pretty.

More able to recover from it in such no time and won’t make a big deal out of it, appears to be less chatty than the usual.

will definitely ask you to get on top of him and just cuddle him I think this is the time that he is more insecure and so he would probably ask you about the things that you like about him.

Will not accept any treatment from you or favouring he doesn’t even believe that he is sick so why the need ? , Deep down his heart he doesn’t want you to get sick so he’s trying to push you away from him but of course you will never leave him like this.

He even tried to kick you out of there but Simon saw that absolutely wasn’t happy about it did try talking to him that even if he didn’t want your care at least be polite when refusing it and surprisingly he did listen.

Isn’t a much for complainer or whiner until he slowly gives up on being completely fine as bad as it goes for him he will be all over you and asking for love and gentle treatment because after all all he needed is a shoulder to lay on.

Will not stop you from going anywhere but will be very sad if you weren’t by his sight also misses you a lot , he take his medicines on the time as you do to him and be careful when you are not around.

Will eat literally anything from your hand at the moment because he could be a little bit picky sometimes but all he thought he was gonna be able to eat some tea and sandwiches or whatever you feed that boy like a grandmother.

When he is finally will again he forgets everything about what happened and even if someone told him and approve it with video of him cuddling you and sticking to your chest he will break the phone and not believe it.

He wasn’t like that on his job site because that would lead him to a ton of leftover paperwork and because everyone else in this building can do a better job like him or be trusted enough to do so they will rotten there for awhile.

Also very annoying a little bit because you could cover him with 16 blankets and three socks on top of each other and you can just turn your head back to the kitchen and grab him some tea and come back he is half naked for God know why Then even if you stare deeply in his soul he will just say that he got overheated and couldn’t breathe in the same second will say that he got cold.

isn’t clingy isn’t whiny isn’t picky, he is so calm about it but he was genuinely touched by the fact that he was well taken care of specially by you his loved one he was appreciating it a lot.

Kind of knowing what he wants to eat or drink in the moment because he believes he knows himself better that’s a fact so he is more into green tea , meat soup or vegetable soup, and also add honey and black seeds.

Arisu its Smart at games. And even a bit in social circles. However he cant tell when his actions have crossed a line. Its not like he cant tell what its morally fine and wrong. No, he can. Its when it comes to you, the lines blends and ends being all blurry, he cant tell what he is doing.

It may start safe enough. With just the right amount of "What did I just do" till his brain tells him its fine. Because its for you.

At the Borderlands he would protect you from everything and everyone. He never thought on using someone to save you. In fact till he met you, he did try to save as much people as he could. After some down and terrible games and you being his only light and hope he started to care less and less for others and only thinks about you.

He may not be a fighter but he has no fear on getting beating up for you.

And also, has no fear or sense of remorse in case he needs to use someone during the games to save you. Its all fair because he wants you to survive and himself.

Maybe the line blends more when its the closest ones he is ready to leave for you. If you two met before his Friends died and somehow the four of you ends in a game together with other players...well Arisu may get the idea of using even his Friends if thats going to secure your win.

Non Borderlands Arisu meets you at College, probably. And from that moment he falls hard.

Here his morals will fail him during exams. If he sees you having problems he will try to give you the answer even if that would end with him in trouble.

Getting exams from a professor who trust in himself a lot... honeslty he would totally do it.

At the real world Arisu may not get his hands bloody since there is no danger. Unless you tell him someone has been following you. He may lose himself and beat that person up. If he ever kills someone on accident then he has his father influence to protect him.

♤ Tatta / Borderlands

Tatta its someone who would be totally out of it. And what I mean by this is:

He believes you love him no matter what.

He really cant stand his ground but is willing to get hurt for you.

The emotional distress this causes you, he uses it (without him knowing he is doing it) on his advantage over you.

Tatta its in this case not a Yandere who looks for control over you. At least not in a way that he is aware of it. Tatta stalks you like a lovesick boy around the Beach. Most will find it cute, weird or will ignore it.

He does not want to cause you pain. On the contrary he wishes he could give you safety and protection. However his actions will cause you emotional pain to the point of not knowing if he is even trying to live.

At the end. You would become his guardian. Maybe he was kind to you in the past and now you feel like you are in debt with him for that. It drains your energy making sure he is safe and out of trouble.

Tatta would see this as an act of true love. He would never think you feel in debt with him. And will use this to get closer to you.

○ Gi-hun S1

Season one Gi-hun was never mean to fall for you on the first place.

In games or outside them. Gi-hun was in no position for a relationship in all the ways. He was kind and good heart but he had problems besides gambling and debts.

If he becomes obsess with you its because at first you helped him out. Maybe you gave him some money or showed him some real human action. Its 100% sure he does idealize you to the point of making other concern for you when they hear how he talks about you.

Gi-hun would totally get himself drunk only to use it as an excuse to call you for help and crash at your place.

He makes you get worried over him when he shows up with his face all hurt from the loan sharks. Sometimes he may do it himself so he can have you close as you nurse him back to health.

He wont ever know how worried you get over him. How anxiety eats you at night. Or how sad you end when he goes off to the games to later never know about him again.

○ Min-su / In game /  S2 pre S3 (no idea whats gonna happen in S3 when writing this).

He is shy by nature and insecure. Uses you as a protector from others. He will stick to you like a shadow no matter the time or whats going on.

Min-su its the type of Yandere who also idiolizes you. Even if they show how you ended in debt he will look pass it.

Its someone who does not know he is hurting you. Yes he basically hides with you and uses you when someone bullies him. But thats alright, you are his protector after all, its your work to do it.

He is obessive during games. Trying for the best outcome for him and for you. But he is not shy from betraying you, hoping you will make it out somehow. He has you so high that believes you can walk out from any situation.

Maybe the worse its how he after that goes back to be with you. Breathing down on your neck, trailing behind you. He never says "sorry" for what he did. Or how he acts. He just...well follows you.

○ OC/Random Guard

Probably a circle guard who thinks they can protect you by giving you Hints for the games.

Even if you end being punish for it, the guard wont ever consider it their fault. It was you who did not hide the note well!!

Maybe a Triangle guard who does not care for their methods. If they need to punish you, they do it.

Its an obsession with a lot of a sadistic side on their part. Even if they know you from outside the games, chances are they were always like this.

A Obsessive freak who enjoys themselfs in hurting you. Knowing they are part of you life by this. At least a fraction of you belongs to them.

Regressor! Vijay Headcanons

•He usually regresses around the ages of 4-7, though he can go younger on occasion, like around 1-3, but it’s not often.

•He’s extremely energetic and has absolutely no sense of danger. He has to be looked after by someone, otherwise he’ll probably end up injuring himself somehow.

•He loves trying to balance on things that aren’t exactly made for that, and can be pretty dangerous to try and balance on. Especially since his balance isn’t nearly as good as it is when he isn’t regressed.

•He doesn’t openly tell people about his regression and tries not to do it in front of people, though if he does, he doesn’t care. He’s not shy in the slightest.

•Vijay will go up to one of his teammates, or any other contestant for that matter, and ask them to play with him with no shame. They obviously find this odd, but most of them will actually engage and interact with him.

•Out of all of his teammates, he gets along most with Charles. He’s very patient and kind to him, plus he’s one of the only members who actually knows why he’s acting this way.

•For some reason, Vijay likes to be around Olive too. Olive kind of sees Vijay like a little brother. An annoying little brother that is.

•He likes to hang upside down, for no reason other than just for fun. He’ll do it for a while, so whoever’s with him will have to eventually tell him to sit normally so he doesn’t get a headache.

•Absolutely hates nap and bedtime, unless he’s regressed younger than normal.

•Actually, Vijay is a lot more calm when he’s around the 1-3 age range. He’s often a bit sleepy and enjoys doing fairly low energy things. Like watching cartoons or playing with a few stuffed animals.

•He needs a lot of attention. If someone isn’t paying attention to him or is ignoring him, he will continuously bother them until they pay attention to him.

•He is so giggly. He giggles and laughs at everything. If he finds something really funny, he’ll start kicking his legs while laughing.

•He finds jumping on the couch or bed really fun. It’s hard to convince him to stop, he’ll usually only stop if he accidentally hurts himself. But even then, he’ll sometimes go right back to jumping immediately after.

•Vijay loves trying to be sneaky and spy on people. Unfortunately, he’s almost always caught since he’ll either have a bad hiding spot or end up making some sort of noise.

•He doesn’t use pacifiers all that much throughout the day, but when he’s going to bed or taking a nap, they’re an absolute necessity. He can’t sleep without one.

•Though, he does tend to start sucking his thumb sometimes during the day, but he only really does that out of pure boredom.

•He needs cups that have lids, whether that’d be a bottle or a sippy cup, though probably a sippy cup since that’s what he prefers most of the time.

•He will sometimes use bottles. Mostly at night, but if he’s teeny tiny, then he’ll use them during the day as well.

•If he doesn’t have a cup with a lid, he will 1000% spill it. He’s definitely not at all cautious and doesn’t pay any attention to his surroundings, he’s also a bit clumsy as well, so he will definitely spill his drink at some point.

•He doesn’t get angry or upset all that much. He’s typically very cheerful and happy.

•He only really gets upset when he’s exhausted, so it is easy to tell when he’s tired, since he’s a lot more irritable.

•He can be very gullible, especially when he’s somewhere between the ages of 2-5. Someone could tell him just about anything, and there’s a huge chance he’d believe them.

•He has a high pain tolerance, so he doesn’t react much when he gets hurt, unless he’s regressed to a young toddler age. So 2-3.

•Even if he’s not actually hurt, he will fake cry for attention. For example, if he trips he’ll look around to see if anyone noticed and if no one noticed him or isn’t rushing to comfort him, he will start crying.

•Though, even if someone does comfort him, he’ll still fake cry so he can get more attention. He always has to be the center of attention when he’s around this age.

•Vijay loves being held and carried around when he’s in babyspace. However, if he’s any older, he doesn’t really like it, unless he’s sleepy. Then he doesn’t mind being picked up.

•Babyspace Vijay also loves clapping his hands. He claps his hands together a lot, mostly because he finds it funny and it entertains him.

•He’s actually very easy to entertain when he’s that little. A toy like a rattle or stuffed animal can keep him entertained for a while.

(I’ve actually had these headcanons sitting in my drafts for a few weeks now. I was going to post them at some point, but I’m really happy someone requested these. Vijay’s my favorite Reality Resort character and I definitely see him as a regressor.)

I don't think Lilith and Lucifer gave Eve the gift of knowledge/free will. Feels more like the gift of defiance. Knowing good and evil are experiences you either live through and/or give to someone else, which is a knowledge that is earned rather than learned about. You can be aware of the vilest things from just hearing about it, but if you don't have an inner experience that relates in the tiniest way to the pain within another in order to compare it to, then why would it have an impact on you? There's also the caveat where you will subconsciously eliminate relatability due to traumatic experiences which can block empathy, or in the case of those who are born with low levels of affective empathy, that can also pose a challenge. (Cognitive empathy can be learned tho) Caveats aside, if I don't know what negativity feels like, how am I expected to empathize? If I don't have a frame of reference for frustration, my response/reaction will be at best dulled and detached when I learn about an evil deed. Compassion can be built, but that's a social emotion meant to build and maintain networks. And frankly, compassion can easily exist without empathy. There is this thing called loving kindness in Buddhism that encompasses it.

When it comes to defiance, you are enabling yourself to commit an act against something, someone or yourself. It creates polarity and a ripple effect that I believe continues to echo on Earth through humans committing defiant acts all the time UNLESS there is a big enough counterforce to stop it. I believe it takes great inner strength to genuinely forgive something and move onto better pastures with or without the source that has created pain, though you have to be careful not to fall into apathy and numbness. Forgiveness isn't about dulling yourself to remove the pain. Forgiveness is finding worth in investing your energy into something that brings you a better life experience. It's a new type of emotional reality that you are developing in which the hurtful baggage of the past can't coexist anymore, so you let it go. Like, say a friend hurt you, but you find worth in rebuilding a friendship with them because they've done the work to prove themselves a reliable connection. Of course you can also forgive and move on without them. Both are good as long as the hurt was processed properly to be released. Now that's a mild example because atrocities are not on the same level as a broken friendship. The latter come and go and some return, while the former is extremely complex to move on from, but not impossible. Cases of it exist. They're probably unpopular, but they exist.

Now, defiance can also be a good thing depending on the context. Such as, defying a tyrant's system of oppression, but once again - that's still an act of evil because you cannot have good without it. Good cannot exist without polarity unfortunately. The good you do onto someone is evil to someone else and vice versa. That's where consideration and discernment comes into place. Consequences reach everyone one way or another... Black and white melts together, forming various shades of grey. Think of the spider metaphor - what is normal for the spider is chaos for the fly.

But back to defiance. What is defiance if not a type of sabotage? You defy someone's right to safety by jeopardizing it to meet your needs. That's what evil is. It comes from unreliability which is what I feel has made the whole thing blow up with Lucifer's dangerous ideas that defy Heaven's reliable order, Lilith's defiance in the face of authority and her enabling Lucifer to be as dangerous as he wanted to be, and them enabling & inviting Eve to commit an act of defiance too. It's the dichotomy that was the evil that created Hell.

DOING AN ENTIRE CHARACTER ASK SHEET FOR SKARA AND WILLOW BECAUSE I CAN PART 1 (Questions 1-10)

1. Canon I outright reject

You know how in Sense and Insensitivity there’s that bit where Skara kisses the King cardboard cutout and runs away with it? That bit that made that one Sking shipper a thing? Yeah, so this is a really mean prank played by either the twins or Boscha using an illusion, and Skara only ever thought Rulers Reach was ok. My evidence for this is the fact that I will personally beat you to death if you imply my daughter did Titan-knows-what with a standee of an 8-year-old cat-dog-hybrid.

While I’m at it, let’s also make it clear that she was never living furniture for an adult man either. Again, that was a prank because N O.

(Can you guess why Sense is my third worst episode of the show?)

Literally the second half of Any Sport has Willow acting so OOC you’d swear it has to be a really bad fanfiction. She gets kidnapped by the same dude who spent the entire afternoon lying to her about who he was, threatened not one but two of her best friends in his last appearance, and works as the second-in-command of a fascist religious order she canonically rallied the Isles against, and she… blames herself for it. She has the opportunity to defend her friends against Darius and put up a real fight, and instead she does some of her weakest magic in the show so Hunter can swoop in and save her. And in the last 30 seconds of the episode she just casually tells shows off the pic of the Entrails with Hunter like it wouldn’t cause Amity to go into a PTSD-inspired rage. I literally rewrote the entirety of the episode in my head, but if I can’t reject the whole episode, I’m at least rejecting its second half.

(Can you guess why Any Sport is my top choice for worst episode of the show?)

2. A canon or headcanon hill I will die on

Skara is a chaotic bisexual gremlin and you can’t convince me otherwise. If chaotic bisexual gremlin energy could be used as a power source, Skara would be the only battery the world would ever need.

A slightly more serious Skara head cannon I have is that she left Boscha because Skara wanted to apologize to Willow, and Boscha not only refused to join her but outright mocked her for it, leading Skara to go do it herself. She never spoke to Boscha after that day unless she had to.

Willow has a lovely singing voice and sings to her plants when she waters them. It’s part of why Skara fell so hard for her. She hears it one while walking past the Plant Track room and thought to herself ‘Wow I really am a chaotic bisexual gremlin.’

3. Obscure headcanon

Skara is a great chef. She loves to cook and bakes for her friends all the time. I have no evidence for this other than the fact I think it sounds adorable.

Willow didn’t go to H.A.S. in the first season only because she would go straight home to work out most of the time. In reality she loved learning about humans, even if she had more of an understanding then Gus that most Witch information was probably a stretch.

4. Favorite line

“Good game Willow.”-Skara, in her one positive interaction with Willow in Wing it.

5. Best personality trait

For Skara it’s her ability to accept responsibility and grow from her mistakes. It’s a difficult thing to do, to admit you were wrong for so long. It’s not something that came naturally to her either: she had to work hard at it, and it was a painful process. But Skara did, and now she’s a teacher cause she wants to help other kids avoid her mistakes while learning the same lessons.

For Willow, it’s her kindness and unwavering defense of her friends. She’s always looking out for everyone, always doing whatever it takes to make sure they’re safe and cared about and know that. It’s a trait she always had, but it grew over time as she matured into a true blue protector.

6. Worst personality trait

For Skara, it’s her guilt. Her self reflection has sadly burdened her with a deep sense of shame for her bullying, and while she never bullied anyone after she leaves Boscha, she still hates herself sometimes for how she used to be, something that causes her to become more reserved and isolated. Willow can tell when she gets like this though, and always tries to remind her that her past is in the past, and she’s moved on to become a better person.

For Willow, it’s her inability to regulate her own needs. She gets better at it with time, but even after Future she still can’t always take time to just think of her own feelings. She’ll push herself till breaking point until one of her friends reminds her it’s ok to care about herself for a bit.

7. Age/height/weight headcanon

Sometimes I see a bunch of Willow art I wonder if it’s a headcannon that she was ever chubbier than Amity or Luz, given how often people seem to make her just as skinny…

Skara is the taller of the two, even if most of that extra height is her hair, something she’ll playfully tease Willow about from time to time. Thankfully Willow has the advantage of being less of a full blown simp, so she can easily pull Skara down to her height for a kiss.

8. Unpopular opinion about them

Skara was never as big a bully as Boscha. She was A bully, and I don’t want to deny that, but I think it’s canonically wrong when people make her to be as bad as Boscha. It was clear throughout that she could tell when Boscha was going too far, and there’s a few moments where she seems even scared of Boscha, like when they run into her during the King segment in Swap or when Boscha’s about to burn Luz alive in Wing It.Most likely, Amity bullied Willow because she felt she had to, and Boscha bullied her because Amity did, and later because she felt Willow stole Amity from her, while Skara, Cat, and Amelia probably just stuck to the sidelines because they wanted to be accepted by the others. Again, it isn’t cool, and I know that Skara feels like garbage for how she acted to this day, but please don’t act like Skara was as big a bully as Boscha.

Everyone used to act like Gus was the character who deserved more respect from the show, deserved more story’s, but really, it was Willow who got shafted in the end. Gus has 3 unquestioned spotlight episodes (Something Ventured, Looking Glass, and Labyrinth Runners), he drives two subplots (Understanding Willow and Grom), and eventually even steals Willow’s bits, like her glowing eyes (I know Dana said it’s a thing all Witches can do under intense emotion but that’s a retcon and we all know it). In contrast, Willow seems like she has more, but she honestly kinda doesn’t. Sure, there’s Teenage Abomination and Hooty’s Moving Hassle which are good and perfectly Willow centric, but then things get a lot fuzzier. Understanding Willow would be better named Understanding Willow’s Relationship with Amity Primarily through Amity’s Lens, Wing It is solid but mostly used to drive Lumity, her only real moments in season 2A were getting Clover in Hunting Palisman and having all her bones broken in Looking Glass, Any Sport PRETENDS to be about Willow, but in the end is more about Hunter then any other of his team up episodes, to the point the second half spends most of its time making Willow weak and self loathing JUST SO HUNTER COULD LOOK LIKE A HERO, her subplot in Labyrinth feels a lot worse when you remember that Any Sport actually proves that Amity was completely right to think Willow couldn’t fight the Emperors Coven (also Willow shows more anger towards Amity here then she ever did to Hunter which is cool, totally fine, not aneurism causing at all), and honestly, as nice as it was to see Willow have a bit of an emotional arc in Future, it was more a way to get Hunter a girlfriend then anything (also the fact it’s pretty much a complete ripoff of Luz’s own arc in Reaching Out). In less words and as less of a ramble, Willow may technically have more stuff then Gus, but honestly, Gus stories are actually about Gus, while Willow stories are almost exclusively used for other people’s development, whether it be Amity’s, Lumity, or *sigh* Hunter’s. And I wanted her to be more than that.

Also, Willow can be angry. Like, really, genuinely, righteously angry. She’s a someone who spent her whole childhood being bullied by her former bestie and unironically was willing to BURN HER MEMORIES AND THOUGHTS ALIVE TO DESTROY SAID FORMER BESTIE (technically that was Inner Willow but still). It seems like people kinda just forget that though. Hell, the show seems to, what with stuff like her, like I said, getting more mad at Amity in Labyrinth then Hunter in Any Sport.

(Also Skarlow is better than Huntlow but you can read my blog to see that so.)

9. Scene that first made me love (or hate) the character

For Skara, it was probably her at Grom. It’s such a hilarious bit, her going from a swooning teenage girl on a date to Magic Prom to her just getting so damn into the fight. That tux looks expensive and she rips it off of her like it’s nothing in a fit of bloodlust. And there’s just something so endearing about her Grom photos too. I love (most) of her earlier stuff too of course but Grom to me is the peak of Skara.

For Willow, I don’t know the exact moment, but it was probably somewhere early on, almost certainly around seeing her go from green eyed at Amity’s bullying to apologizing and rushing to help Luz from her plants. I love characters who are both adorable and badass and I think that’s what Willow, at her best, is.

10. Best moment on screen (or in the book)

Skara’s best moment would been her redemption arc if she had one, but otherwise I’d say, again, it’s Grom. Just, *chefs kiss* The best.

Willow has a lot of actually good moments, and I originally answered this question a while ago with her during Understanding, but thinking more on it, I think the best moment for Willow is really her and Amity in Follies. It’s an incredibly minor moment, something you’d be forgiven for forgetting happens if you haven’t seen it in a while, but looking back it’s all of Willow’s best traits in one scene: Her ability to go from intimidating to adorable in a matter of seconds, her emotional maturity in helping Amity with her problems (even if that bits offscreen for shock purposes), actually confirming she works out in the show instead of just saying it in an AMA, her complicated feelings about Amity… there’s like, so much in this one scene that embodies why Willow Park is amazing and deserves all the love.

This… took longer to write then I thought and was a lot more rambly then I expected. Still, hope you enjoyed, and I’ll try to do the next 10 questions sometime soon.

Surprisingly, M1918 wasn’t entirely taken aback by Flavia’s clear lack of knowledge. Really, it was a little secondary to the doll since her safety was on her top priority. That’s easier said than done since we’re currently cut off from G&K’s main force for the time being. It’s been quite a bit but we’ve been pushed back by an SF counter attack into our main advance. It threatened to encircle the main spearhead of the assault so command has asked us to retreat into fortified positions to blunt their attacks.”

“Needless to say, they were a little faster on the draw than we expected. We were going to get over run by armored forces if someone didn’t do something quickly. Seeing no other viable choice, I decided to lay a trap for the armored column running by. I catch it you probably head the explosion out by that location-“

The doll then pointed over by where they had first encountered each other.

“That was a bit of my hand, really. At the moment, I though the town was clear since no one seemed to be around. I heard some gunshots but I figured it was due to ammo cookoff from the Manticores I had disabled. Guess I should have been a bit more perceptive…”

“Still, that’s been the situation as it has been. I’ve been trying to contact command to report all that has happened but with little luck. The Sangvis have already locked down the area by blacking out signals. Anything sent or received will be nothing more than a garbled mess. I know south is generally where our forces are but the problem is mostly getting there.”

“As I see it, we are currently sandwiched between a mix of checkpoints, forward operating bases, scouting parties, and the main armored force continuing their advance. Our best bet could be sticking to forests in order to avoid any forces using the roads but we’ll need to be constantly raiding outposts to resupply on munitions and resources. Food and water are a necessity for the both of us but I think getting you geared up is paramount…unless you feel like trying to fight one of those machines with this.”

BAR would hand out the weapons she had confiscated off Flavia’s person once she had passed out. It wasn’t just a kind act but a token that she was placing trust onto her. They would both need to have some to each other considering the circumstances they face. But she wasn’t entirely wrong about her statement. Her little dagger wasn’t going to help her much with a doll that could easily overpower a regular human. She was going to need something that at least packed a little more of a punch.

“I have some ideas on where we could get some supplies but I need to know you’re gonna follow my lead on this, alright hon?”

Flavia really can't fight back, Browning manages to ease her right back into that sleeping back without too many issues. She understands she's hurt, but there's still so much rushing through her head. At least Flavia's not too foreign to this, it's more surprise she somehow ended up in an alternate version of her destination.

Again more things for her to worry about later, she needs to refine her methods of moving if this keeps happening. Right now she needs to rest and heal, but she also needs information.

Though she tries for a moment to show that she's receiving what Browning's saying, the pained face slowly takes over again, forcing her to rest her head back.

"I don't understand it myself."

Chance just offers one of those bony shrugs. He does understand - about no-name pouring some kind of healing energy into him. He understands watching those mortal wounds close and knit back together as though it was some kind of weird special effect. But the pain he'd felt was real. The wounds he'd suffered had been real. The only reason Chance is still breathing right now is because he's real fucking -- l u c k y.

But he doesn't want this dumb chucklefuck doing something stupid because he thinks Chance has the capacity to heal... Even though it might be slightly amusing to inform him of the err in that assumption... After the fact of course.

"Guy with a face like a slapped arse. Mr No-name. He was there. Only thing I can think of is that he did it somehow."

Chance's voice is a slightly lower. More clipped version of his cheery usual upbeat self. And the questions pouring from Zaid that he couldn't actually answer were just adding to his annoyance. How, what... How the fuck should he know. A slight grind of teeth only steeling his determination to find out. He's not used to not having all the answers. Being on the back foot... Frustration bubbling just below the surface... But. But... He's ever the consumate professional. Keeps that mask pulled down and fixed tight... For the most part.

Holy hell - did this guy ever actually LISTEN? Probably not. He hears him prattle something about Una, but he's wrong. Again. If the subject didn't centre firmly around Zaid, Chance gets the impression that pretty much everything else was a wash.

"Una attacked someone in her uh... What did she say... Beast form. Not her animal form."

Chance corrects. He's subtle about it though. Never tell anyone outright that they're wrong. They tend to get overly defensive. Those guards go back up... They're less... Forthcoming.

"That's what she said at the meeting, right?"

But then he's off... Rambling and making statements with - as far as Chance can tell - no basis, fact or evidence for any of them. Just sweeping generalisations about what he assumes... Or... Maybe what he would like to believe.

Those hornets targeted this animal.

Did they? Or did the big cat take a swipe at the flying buzzing thing. Just like any house kitty might with a fly or a spider that was unfortunate enough to skitter across it's path.

They want to destroy it, yeah.

Do they? Or, like pretty much any real hornet or insect, are they simply acting out of defense. As far as Chance understands, things like this don't tend to sting or attack unless provoked. And... As Chance had not provoked them, he'd not been particularly bothered by them (other than the macabre images on the screens). And it sounds very much like Zaid is trying to convince himself more than anything.

Someone ordered them to do this, didn't they.

Did they? Who and why? If the cat thing is a creature of the Island, just as these hornets seem to be, maybe it just made the mistake of getting in the way of the wrong thing.

This isn't random, they don't gain anything from killing it except...

Isn't it? It's a natural defence mechanism. Undoubtedly the hornet telly things were NOT natural, but that wasn't to say the drive and the instinct weren't the same.

Chance is quick enough to turn his head. After glimpsing the quick and destructive emination displayed on the little monitor, the very same thing repeated right in front of him. Maybe the witchy-wolf-Una wasn't the most dangerous thing on the island... At least people had a chance of surviving one of her beast attacks. Chance can't see anyone walking away from being... Vapourised. And yet, Zaid had bitten his tongue. Like the true coward he is.

He's taken a few quick steps back at the intense light and heat. Those strange coloured blobs obscuring his vision for a moment at the sudden blindingly bright flash.

"Can they?"

Chance just returns. Voice calm and easy once more. He wants to know more. He will know more. About both Zaids capacity for destruction... And about these hornet bots. He just has to play it right...

"It looks like a construct. A creation. The monster wasn't to blame for Frankensteins ego. But it was the one to suffer."

Chance gives less of a fuck about whether the cat got away or not. He's blinking, trying to get his eyes to adjust to the low light. Watching as the remaining hornets swarm around the fallen one. Okay well, stupid did the truly stupid. For fucks sake. Goddamn moron. If they hadn't been in danger from the bots before... They sure as hell were now.

"Zaid."

This time, he's talking quietly. Because if those bots decide to take out the source...

"Head to the water. Quickly. Get your head under the waves and STAY THERE. For as long as you can hold your breath."

Chance's answer was as dire and pragmatic as they came. At first, it also was a surprise that it came from Chance at all. Zaid's general impression of Chance after all, was exactly what Chance intended: that the lanky Irishman was an affable, genuinely kind-hearted fellow with best interests; surely the type who cared about the welfare of all animals. Possibly a vegan (Zaid didn't judge).

But then the explanation came and Zaid's eyes widened in horror. He even took a step back, to give Chance a once-over. The bloke was in a state of artful 'careless-chic' partial-dress (which sharply reminded Zaid of Tej), enough for Zaid to look down to Chance's midsection to see...nothing. Not bandages or even scars - though a gutting wouldn't (couldn't! could it?) be healed by now.

"I don't understand," Zaid said, not wanting to accuse Chance of being melodramatic. "How...how did you survi-?" It was like one of the hornets heard (registered?) their chat, and immediately turned its attention to them - or rather, had something to show them. For Chance, a nightmarish replay from a completely different angle. For Zaid, a gruesome scene like a horror movie clip. Zaid covered his mouth with his curled hand at the sight.

"Flipping hell, mate. Was that real? How the fuck are you still alive." Zaid looked back at Chance's midsection, still incredibly confused, almost tempted to reach out and touch that unmarred midriff. Chance was so sure it wasn't a were-something.

"Una hurt someone in her animal form," Zaid pointed out, but he sounded willing to let that theory go. "Those hornets targeted this animal. They want to destroy it, yeah. Someone ordered them to do this, didn't they. This isn't random, they don't gain anything from killing it except..." Except what? Vengeance? Chance had no desire to stop the hornets, leaving this all up to fate.

One hornet crawled away from the pack, click-clacking delicately on the pointed ends of its six legs, its TV head twisting and tilting this way and that. When Zaid's hands glowed white, its TV face turned towards the pair, wings flittering in a specific way. Like a sound-pattern, a specific, repetitive chatter.

The TV depicted a scene of Zaid and Tej in the wilderness, Zaid shoving Tej away and ducking behind a thick tree. Bent over and heaving like he was going to be sick. And then: an explosion emanating from Zaid outwards, bathing everything in his diameter in a blinding white, oddly gooey light. When it died down, Zaid was still there, alive and on his knees in a charred circle.

Before the clip ended, Zaid raised his hands and blasted the hornet with that same viscous white-heat, near-melting its midsection as it collapsed backwards on its back. It whirred and spasmed, and the other hornets abandoned the tiger-beast to attend to their colleague. Buying the bloody beast enough to to crawl back into the trees, leaving a bloody streak on the ground.

The nausea in Zaid dissipated, and he lowered his now-normal, still slightly-smoking hands. "Well. It's done now. I'm sorry it tried to kill you, but it's just an animal, Chance. It can't help itself." Zaid stared at the hornets tending their own, trying to fly the molten wreckage away. "These things can."

Guide to Creating Magic Systems

Decide What is “Good” and “Evil”

This is a big decision, because it’s going to impact the way your characters use magic, and the overall theme/tone of the story. You must decide where the moral limitations of magic stand, in addition to the practical limitations. You must also decide who can/does overstep those moral or societal boundaries. This is a great place where you can find conflict and establish the themes of your story.

Establish Clear Limits

All quality magic systems have clear limits in their reality. Sometimes time travel is possible, sometimes it isn’t. More “powerful” spells, or spells with greater physical implications, will require greater sacrifices, like death, loss, or pain.  Deciding these limits are a key task you must accomplish early in the process of designing a magic system, because it can impact the conflict, plot points, character motivations, and more.

Establish Consequences

Arguably, magic systems aren’t interesting or engaging unless the reader is aware that any use of magic will have some consequence. Not always an epic consequence, because some magic systems are designed to be fun and full of wonder, and therefore some magic should be available to serve that purpose without being overshadowed by impending consequence. However, if magic plays a major part in your conflict or conflict resolution, it would benefit your story to establish a system of consequences or effects that come as a result of using various amounts or levels or types of magic that exist in your universe.

Diversity in Magic (Powers & Users)

One of the more contemporary grievances about magic systems is that it’s very one-size-fits-all, or bland in terms of who can/does use magic and how they do so. It’s worth your time to explore the idea of including multiple groups or species who can use magic and determining how the way they use it can differ. Regional characteristics of magic users and habits/idiosyncrasies that differ depending on class/race/social status/location. It can also be an interesting point of contention in your story/world to think about how different groups or individuals influence the methodology or views on magic. Do some view it as a sacred gift that is only to be used according to ancient tradition? Does this conflict with more modern views of younger users who view it as a tool that should be used whenever to make life easier?

Establish a Source & Theory

On a lot of occasions, this development is mostly for your own sake as the writer. However, it’s immensely helpful to know where magic came from or how it came to be available/wielded, and how that affects its value or role in your world. This is typically the kind of information authors put a lot of thought into and then end up stuffing as much of it into the preliminary drafts as possible, only to cut 90% of it out later, but even if it’s never explicitly stated in the text, writing the story with that context in mind can considerably enrich the story.

Common Struggles

~ How do I establish magic is a thematic element as well as a world building one?... Make your magic mean something. Using magic systems as a decoration is a staple of the fantasy genre, so you must establish the intrigue of your magic system through who uses it, and how they choose to do so. Use magic as a tool to explore the themes of the story. It doesn’t have to be a metaphor itself, but it can do wonders in delivering subtle nudges toward the overall point of the story. Think of it as a thematic tool, instead of a plot ornament.

~ How do I depict the use of magic in an engaging way?... Big magic and small magic. Sure, there will probably be some epic battles or intense displays of incredible power, but if this ability is widespread and considered typical, show the little things as well. Characters usually have “stage business”, or mundane actions they accomplish to break up dialogue or make scenes more dynamic, and this stage business is a great opportunity to show everyday magic. Doing laundry, getting coffee, catching a bus, sorting paperwork, etc. are all tasks that would be more convenient with magic, so show it. Use these little moments to periodically inform/remind the reader of the breadth/limitations of magic and the diversity in who uses it and how.

~ How do I convey the intricacies of the magic system without info-dumping periodically throughout my story?... Find places in scenes that you wouldn’t necessarily assume magic would be a necessary part of and ask yourself how a character who has magic (and perhaps always has) would live that moment differently from you (a person who does not and never has had that ability). If they’re doing the dishes in this scene, would they be doing it manually or directing the objects to move with magic because they don’t like getting their hands wet? A lot of the charm in magical stories is the escapism; the idea that life could be so different, and probably more convenient, if one had magic. So, lean into this, use opportunities you find to inject some context or information about the rules/limitations/history/etc., and the magic will naturally integrate itself.

~ How do I achieve a magic system that adds to a reader’s enjoyment, rather than simply acting as a story garnish?... A lot of writers try to recapture the fascination readers have with magic systems in stories like Harry Potter, and it’s important to denote that what sets that magic system apart from the others is that it was built using various source materials that weren’t inherently magical. If you try to build a magic system based on one in another story, it’s unlikely you’ll come up with any original ideas. The magic in Harry Potter was constructed using Latin roots, global mythology, and various references to popular tropes in literature about witches, wizards, fictional creatures, etc. Additionally, a lot of the conflict regarding magic was derived from real world issues, such as prejudice. Magic for the sake of magic does little to interest a reader who is well versed in the genre, but magic created from scratch to serve a unique purpose will intrigue and entertain them.

All my knowledge is of hermitcraft and the stuff people have written for the Hermit!Tommy Au but I kept having this idea and needed to write it. I also think i got a bit out of character halfway through because it was supposed to be short, but i vibed with it too much so now it’s long and maybe not 100% accurate but it’s still angst followed by fluff.

also @petrichormeraki wanted me to tag them when i posted this.

Tommy had been with the Hermits for a while now. He hadn’t really kept track of when he first arrived, but it had at least been a few months. Otherwise, time was a mess. The Hermits has all but legally adopted him and all the joy that came from them caring for him made time seem to fly by.

Doc was fun to be around because while Tommy was perfectly fine never going back to the SMP, the way the man acted gave Tommy a small bit of familiarity in a good way to his past life.

He likes hanging out with False, mainly for sparring. Never anything deadly, but even if there wasn’t a need for Tommy to constantly look over his shoulder, it was good to keep from getting too rusty.

He doesn’t really hang out with Zedaph as much as Zedaph hangs out with him. Normally the Hermit would come out of the blue with something new for Tommy to try. Flicking levers over and over for something that would normally be as simple as using a furnace just became fun for Tommy, especially if he had energy pent up.

Xisuma is someone Tommy doesn’t run into much, but the fact that he doesn’t is something Tommy finds comfort in. Even as the server admin, the man is very down to Earth. Nothing like Dream ever was.

And then there’s Grian. Tommy got along with all the Hermits fine and of course there were some he preferred over others, but Grian took the cake for him. When he first showed up, Grian was the one to give him a place to stay at his old hobbit hole. Professor Beaks had been left there and still used to the SMP and scared for his life, Tommy hid the pet bird as leverage for his own safety. When Grian found out, he mostly shrugged it off, but the tens of chickens in the hobbit hole the next day was proof of retaliation.

Tommy didn’t understand the underwhelming response at first, but responded in kind, using the eggs from the chickens Grian had left to egg the Hermit’s base. When the builder nearly broke the door to the hobbit hole, Tommy grabbed his axe, ready to fight for his life, but was taken aback by the cheerful look on Grian’s face.

After that, Grian had practically taken Tommy under his wing. He showed Tommy how to build more effectively with cobble, eventually managing to get the teen to have some variety. Grian also brought Tommy along on his various chaotic endeavors, leaving behind chickens, mycelium, and possibly some missing doors.

The two chaotic red wearing Brits got along so well that they sometimes spent entire weeks together. Because of that, Tommy was all too aware that the Hermits participated in MCC as well.

It made sense. A few of the Hermits vaguely recognised him when he showed up in Hermitcraft and a few of them looked familiar to Tommy. That had made him feel a little safer since now these people weren’t complete strangers, but it did complicate things. Every so often, the portal to MCC would open and the Hermits participating would go through. The closest Tommy would get to the portal was just before the Hermits left, occasionally giving a ‘Good luck Grine!’ or something similar to Grian as he went through. But after that Tommy stayed as far away as he could manage.

The portal there led to MCC. And from there, there was a portal that led to the SMP. If Tommy could get to Hermitcraft, others could too. And that idea was terrifying, no matter who it was. Dream was a worst case scenario, but even if it was Tubbo. Tubbo had exiled him, and even if they were still on good terms after that, Tommy could have visited at some other MCC, but he didn’t, and that idea likely wouldn’t go over well, especially since otherwise, people probably thought he was dead and Tommy didn’t care to correct them.

But compared to all those other times, today was very different. Today Tommy wasn’t at the sidelines to help send off the other Hermits, he was one of the ones being sent off. They had taken every precaution. Mumbo had rebuilt his Spookification chamber for Tommy with some alterations, specifically removing the firework method of alteration. The teen was also dressed for being on a team with Grian as the Cyan Creepers, so his familiar red and white shirt was missing. But under Tommy’s costume, he still kept the chain necklace holding his compass. He refused to part with it, though made sure he would be hard to access to keep from glancing, knowing at the championships, it wouldn’t be spinning wildly anymore.

With a comforting pat on the back from Grian, he and the other Hermits walked through the portal. The crowd of people that were on the side almost immediately overwhelmed Tommy, making him think that it was a bad idea all over again, but the sight of the two other team members for the Cyan Creepers reassured them, especially as they lined up for the cameras for some fun and silly times. Then once the games began, he was too focused on winning to think of much else.

Before long, the championships were over. They had come in fifth, which was a bit disappointing at first, but on the other hand, it was still pretty good and kept the spotlight off of him. When dodgebolt began, Tommy stood next to Grian, but with a crowd of people, a good game, and no perfect place to sit, the both of them wandered for a better vantage point.

At one point, Tommy managed to push his way right up to the edge of the viewing ledge. It was the perfect place for a while until the action moved, causing everyone to decide it was the perfect place. Enough people moved nearby that Tommy was worried about falling into the pit below, and he almost did before someone pulled him back.

Tommy was ready to thank whichever Hermit or even other player helped him but the words died in his throat when he faced the person who grabbed him. He knew that mask and neon green color. And there was no reason for him to help Tommy unless-

“I finally found you!” Dream spoke. He raised his voice to be heard over the crowd, but not too much to draw the attention of others. Tommy froze as he definitely heard the words. But there was no way for Dream to know, he didn’t look at all like normal.

“I-I’m sorry.” Tommy tried not to stutter, hoping just the situation of being grabbed would excuse it. “But I don’t think I’m who you’re looking for. I’m new here. Unless you’re greeting me for being new.” It was something he prepared before in his mind after Grian brought up the possibility, but it felt sloppy putting it to use.

“Oh don’t lie Tommy. I know it’s you. I guess you got lost, but it’s okay, you can come back now. I got rid of the exile for you. Aren’t you glad?”

Tommy was glad for the mask that covered Dream’s face. He wasn’t sure he wanted to see Dream’s actual expression. “How did you-” He started to speak, but Dream cut him off, poking Tommy’s chest, right where the compass was.

“Weren’t you paying attention to the teams? Tubbo got put with me. And between games he just happened to glance at his own compass. And wouldn’t you know it, it led me right here.” Dream held up the compass that belonged to Tubbo. It looked damaged, and it was recent. Tubbo likely didn’t want to give the tyrant admin the compass, but lost it to Dream anyway.

“Give that back to Tubbo!” Tommy shouted at Dream, trying to snatch it from him.

“Feisty now, aren’t you? We can take care of that when you come back. I’ll also give it back to him if you come with me.”

Tommy froze. There was no way he was going back, but what could he do? Everyone was focused on dodgebolt, and he didn’t want his appearance to have caused more trouble for Tubbo.

Tommy glanced at the crowd one last time before reluctantly nodding. Dream grabbed his hand in a painful clench and dragged him out of the crowd towards the SMP’s portal to leave. However, just before reaching it, Dream stopped. Tommy, who had been looking back at the crowd, hoping someone would see what was going on, turned towards the portal to see Grian standing in front of it.

“Heya, where do you think you’re going. MCC isn’t over yet. Dodgebolt it still going on.”

Tommy expected Dream to just push past Grian or even give some sort of retort, but the actual reply was shocking. “Uh, n-no, just… have to head back early. Th-the game delays made things run over. A-and we’ve got to get b-back for… something else. Don’t w-want to be late for that.”

Dream’s words made Tommy so shocked he forgot to breathe. Dream was scared, no he was terrified. And he was terrified… of Grian. Tommy looked back at the Hermit who stood unflinching in front of them.

“Really? I could have sworn that you were here when I arrived, and that kid wasn’t. And he definitely came from a different portal. I know since I was keeping my eye out for my teammates. So why’s he going with you?”

“I uh…” Dream struggled, struggled, to give an answer, letting Grian continue. “That’s what I thought. C’mon kid, let’s go back to the crowd. You can stay with me until it’s over then I’ll help you find your portal back.”

And Grian took Tommy away without any retaliation from Dream. Tommy was left in awe. Grian wasn’t even an admin in Hermitcraft but Dream was terrified of him. It was amazing! But at the same time, it made Tommy spiral a bit.

When everyone returned, Grian had made sure Dream left before the Hermits and Tommy did so Dream couldn’t watch Tommy leave. Tommy stuck to False’s side as they walked through the portal, Grian being the last to come through as he continued to act as a guard. When he tried to comfort Tommy after his run-in with Dream, he understood when the teen responded he just wanted to go home. The championships were exhausting enough without a scare like that.

The next day, Tommy hung out with False. And then Zedaph, and then Doc. Grian noticed immediately, but didn’t pay much mind to it. He noticed since Tommy had spent a full week only hanging out with him, so the sudden absence of the boy was noticeable, but it made sense that he would want to hang out with the others.

After that, Grian didn’t pay too much attention to the lack of Tommy until he ran into him while stocking the barge. Tommy had been buying something at the store when Grian flew in. He nearly dropped his diamonds in trying to leave in such a hurry that it finally concerned Grian. The builder started visiting other Hermits Tommy tended to visit and ask about him. No one really noticed much other than Tommy dodging any questions about him possibly going to hang out with Grian.

Grian decided to leave it alone, and he was definitely going to, but after another run in with Tommy, he threw that decision out the window. Grian normally wouldn’t have done this, but after trying multiple times to just talk to Tommy and being unsuccessful, the builder had to essentially corner the teen.

Immediately, Grian regretted it. Tommy was trembling, obviously scared, holding a sword in his hand. He carefully tried to point out that Tommy didn’t need to have his sword out, but instead of just putting it away, Tommy just threw it on the ground, also throwing down his other gear. Grian had heard of Tommy doing this before with the other Hermits, so he immediately recognised what was going on and dived to grab the gear. It scared Tommy more, but Grian wanted to make sure nothing ended up destroyed.

“Tommy, calm down, I just want to talk. Did I do something wrong? I mean, obviously I must have, you look scared out of your mind every time I’m around you. But I can’t think or anything I did and I don’t want this to keep happening. So can I know what’s going on?”

Tommy didn’t speak for a while. He just looked defeated and terrified. Grian called in some of the other Hermits to come help Tommy calm down, though at first it didn’t help. But over time, Tommy finally did stop looking so terrified and they moved to somewhere he would feel less cornered. It took more coaxing after that, but finally, Tommy explained himself.

“He’s scared of you. Dream is… actually scared of you.”

“Yeah, I’ve killed him once or twice. Plus my full name is Lord Grian Dreamslayer, so it’s kind of in the name.” The builder tried to say it as a joke, but it didn’t seem to lighten the mood.”

“He’s the admin and he’s scared of you. And you… I’ve been hanging out with you.”

Grian nodded. “Well yeah, we do fit together well. ...Did he say something at MCC to make you think I didn’t like you?”

Tommy shook his head. “N-No. You’re right, you’re fun to be around. But dream likes… liked messing with me. And tried to train me. And I hang out with you more than I had with him, and I’m more like you. I-If you’re somehow more powerful than him-!” The rest of the words stopped in Tommy’s throat, choking him up. Stress was nearby and gave Tommy a careful hug for comfort, which helped him a little.

Grian waited a little bit for the tension to calm slightly before he spoke. “I don’t know exactly what Dream has done to you.
