I was gonna answer this earlier but the lack of sleep reared its head 😅 I took a nap and in the meantime received permission to talk about it, though just in case I will still try to keep it brief. A P’heer child does exist in a few of our verses (we aren't lying when we call it the MULTIverse of madness, I can name at least 7 different AUs off the top of my head and that's not counting the variants where only small changes are made. If we ever made a comprehensive list it'd probably be longer than the list of our OCs and that one’s currently up to 31)

Anyway, her name is Nazra, born in about 153 AG if I remember my timeline right, and she’s a combustionbender. But despite being the same height as her mom, possessing easily the deadliest ability imaginable and generally looking rather intimidating, she’s an impossibly awkward nerd who’d rather sit around and read Air Nomad philosophy like her dad all day. Though she does take after her mom in the romantic sense, having a soft spot for airbenders, while simultaneously doing it better because she’s the definition of a disaster lesbian. She’s quiet, a bit anxious and really sheltered, but she does have a feisty streak to her in that she easily calls people (read: her sister/s) out on their bullshit if they annoy her, and isn’t afraid to use her bending to protect those she loves

The reason I’m not quite sure of the extent as to which I’m allowed to talk about her is because she’s not my OC and neither is she Kat’s. She was created for the fic Empty and Become Wind by Esaleyon, a Red Lotus Korra AU which Kat used to beta read for and which we use as basis for the Ultimate AU I described in my response to the Lien-Hua ask. But as far as I know, the author quit writing/the fandom and as I said above, Kat and I took Nazra in, so to speak. But she features in only a small handful of our AUs (currently only 3 come to mind, one of them ironically being the complete polar opposite to the other two in terms of tone and how dark the storyline is) so we don’t speak of her that often. She is still very dear to my heart, has been since 2020, and in the AUs she features in I consider her a sister to Suiren and Midori

If you’re curious, a few years ago Nina (@silima, who single-handedly fed the entire Red Lotus fandom with amazing art back in 2020-2022 or so) drew her, thus creating the design that I base my own sketches off of, so everyone say thank you Nina :)

Cheers to my 301 wonderful followers!

Wow, nearly a year ago, I had never even heard of Tumblr!

But, after a major restructure robbed me of my place in an organization to which I had sacrificed 8 years of sweat, blood and tears, I found myself adrift and seriously questioning my confidence, skills, etc. Especially after experiencing the soul-gutting cycle of countless job applications, interviews with no feedback, and just plain more rejection.

That was when my good friend, who is a very englightened young man, and my former colleague and employee, recommended that I finish watching MFMM to help boost my spirits. I had started a few eps, but never had the chance to return to it in the midst of my former workaholic life.

So...I binged-watched them on Netflix...and found a new purpose and meaning to my existence that had been seriously wanting. After Phryne flew away in the rusty plane, I couldn’t bear it! I had to find more ways to feed my renewed zest for life and brimming obsession somehow. So, I started to Google episode reviews for lack of any other ideas.

And that’s what led me here after I found this amazing recap of “Murder and Mozerella” post by @jeneenp and one of @hysydney‘s mind-blowing colour palette articles (seriously, to all the newer fans, go back and devour ALL of them)! The depth of the reviews and analysis by these 2 gave me super excited chills and hope that there were others out there who just knew what I was experiencing. Then I saw that others like @apostrophelover and @izzyandlouie were posting about their travels to Oz to actually visit the sites and to MEET Nathan Page *swoon*. I knew then that I had found my tribe!!!

I quickly signed up for an account, made up this silly secondary blog name, and started following everyone and everything I could with MFMM and its related tags. At first, I just reblogged as a way to look everything over again later when I was feeling particularly down. But then, some of you started commenting on my comments. Or sending me messages. And then I started writing the odd original post about historical facts that I came cross in RL relating to the show (I’m an amateur history buff without @foxspirit1928‘s incredible indexing abilities so have no idea how to add those here, haha!)

Eventually, I found out about the weekly Slack group rewatches that have now become one of the highlights of my week. Who else could I spend hours rewatching our fave characters and scenes with, gushing over Phrack, throwing virtual tomatoes at the silly plot holes...and just plain dance with every time the title score came on?!

Then I discovered the absolute treasure trove of brilliant MFMM fanfic you were all sharing! This meant there was even more to the wonderful MFMM wonderful world to indulge in, laugh over, weep through and just SAVOUR! Through the interactions with all of you incredible writers, I have found more kindred spirits and yet another facet of the community with whom to relate and to resurrect my deadened writer’s soul. Thanks to a lovely prompt by the fabulous @afterdinnerminx and the daily encouragement of amazing MFMM writer @robinv-ellacott, I found the inspiration to write my first piece of fanfic ever...and the courage to publish it! Now, I’m staying up late at night writing as well as reading about our wonderful Miss Fisher and her dashing DI!

Needless to say, despite my very long post, words could really never be enough to express how much discovering, contributing to and being welcomed into this life-giving Phandom community has meant to me!!! I’m in awe that 301 of you actually follow me on here, but most of all, soooo excited to know that the amazing ethos and spirit that has drawn us to this show lives through us all on a daily basis no matter where we live, what we look like or who we love!
