Half the reason FNAF lore is so complicated is because every time we’re given a simple answer theorist will be like “but what if it wasn’t like that” and come up with the most convoluted shit ever to explain how

Eisoptrophobia, a persistent and overwhelming fear of mirrors or reflections.
I found out that the name of one of the main tracks of UCN is 'Eisoptrophobia'. I thought that maybe at some point in his life William had that.
Being afraid of his reflection, perhaps out of guilt and horror of his actions in the back of his mind. Of course he wouldn't want to reconsider anything he was doing, but maybe seeing himself in the mirror would remind him of those uncomfortable thoughts.
William would also think that he deserves to go to hell once he dies, which joins his tireless desire to find immortality.
On the other hand Mike… He just wants to be a good son. His father is the only family he has left...

the fnaf timeline from what i can tell going off the information SCOTT HIMSELF has written or put in games/teasers/security log book
fnaf 4 > shows mikes childhood and the 4 initial kids who got killed. four bullies, that put mike in freddys mouth. they are wearing foxy, bonnie, chica and freddy masks, the same masks the ghosts are shown wearing. these are the victims.
fnaf 1 > mike has gotten a job under a fake name trying to catch his dad and find clues. issue is, his dad has already been here and the animatronics are on defense mode. the phone guy is likely william, the movie implies this pretty strongly and in one of his old sprites hes holding a phone, so that is likely him somewhere IN the building with you. which is why in n8ght six you can hear him get attacked by freddy.
fnaf 2 > a remake of the old resturant in modern 2000s times, because mike burned down the last resturant. will is still the phone gut which would explain why he knows so many details about rhe builds and history, and also why he begins to panic about mike being in the building because there is an investigation after murders have been commited. will is likely scared of getting caught. it also makes sense why he keeps saying foxys his favorite, hes trying to mislead mike. bonnies wills favorite. will is killed by thr ghosts in the resturant and dies in the springlock suit and rots.
fnaf 3 > fazbear frights opens up, an unrelated haunted house based off the history of the resturants that utalizes williams old suit. this is likely a couple years in the future after fnaf 2. william is the only animatronic here in the springlock suit and it is a final duel between mike and will. mike burns down the haunted house and thinks he won.
sister location: mike gets a letter from his dad claiming his dead sister is underground. thats where elizabeth is. this is years after fazbear fright and mike needs the final piece solved. he gets scooped and ennard, the left over animatronic bits with all the left over souls in them all smashed into one, uses him as a skin suit. eventually he barfs ennard up and continues on as a living corpse, still dedicated to ending this once and for all.
pizzaria simulator: with the help of henry, an old owner of the resturants, mike makes his own knock off resturant to lure in all the loose end animatronics and get them in one location. hes able to do so, trappig will, all the spirits, elizabeth and charlie all in the building with him and burns it down with him inside. this is quite literally the end of fnaf
fnaf ucn: william tortured in hell simulator

I still need to finish full references for most of the characters in the Everyone Lives AU but I might as well infodump what I know about the FNaF 6 cast after the fire if anyone wants to read it.
Michael
So, Frailty's remnant logic. If you know you know, if you don't it basically means that he recovers really quickly because molten soul metal is a hell of a drug. Mike actually didn't start recovering until AFTER the fire, since most of his body was rotten to the point it would take forever. Then the fire burned the parts that were stopping the remnant from really working (as you may guess it did not burn as Henry had anticipated) and it really was a shock when Michael passed out in the middle of the floor in front of everyone because his lungs just completely reformed and he hadn't needed to breathe in so long he'd just forgotten.
After he fully recovered (basically he looks like a normal human being again), his eyes took on a silver tone instead of the previous gray-blue. A little nod to the Silver Eyes trilogy even if it's just me taking the name literally.
Honestly way too much of Mike's stuff here is just "yeah this is how having remnant in his bloodstream affects him", so last one: while ghosts just phase through most people, Michael's a solid object (usually ghosts can only physically interact with other ghosts/directly haunted objects). Also he's kinda stuck being 23 forever.
Michael really likes Mother Mother, his favorite album is O My Heart. This might seem random but just listen to Body and you'll probably get it.
Since this AU came from nostalgia from an ask blog I used to frequent, he figures out that the older animatronics are still out there and goes around collecting them one way or another.
Henry
Charlie kinda shoved his soul into Lefty. She refuses to elaborate why to him.
Henry's a bit upset that he's still here, but maybe that's a good thing since no one else seemed to die in the fire.
Charlie
Her main reason for shoving her dad into Lefty was that THIS being his solution to keep her there pissed her off. Before you get on me for mischaracterizing her, imagine trying to fall asleep, but whenever you're about to nod off something wakes you up again so you're just constantly cranky from being tired for a whole week. That's basically what it was like insider Lefty for her.
She was inside the Puppet for a week before leaving it, and most of that time was spent inside a cardboard box that Michael was about to put into recycling. Box is box and Charlie was tired.
Charlie can interact more with the physical world, unlike most ghosts (eg. picking objects up, having more choice in when she phases through things, etc.).
William
He's just completely out. Everyone else could at least move after the fire (although Mike did have one of his legs charred to the point it crumbled when he tried to walk on it), but he's in UCN right now. Elizabeth in CB had to carry him out of the building.
William does still twitch occasionally, so he's obviously not dead. To reduce suspicion from the house smelling like someone died inside, they keep him in the basement and check on him once in a while to see if he woke up.
Elizabeth and Circus Baby
I got a lot to say on Elizabeth, honestly the reason I made this post was because I thought about her a lot while drawing her and I didn't want to forget it. Eventually I just decided "screw it, this IS the main AU I think about anyways so why not give everyone who wants to know an intro?". I'll color the text as it corresponds to each (green for Liz, blue for CB).
Originally she planned on only staying at Michael's house until William woke up and they split off (not like she would tell him). Elizabeth only stayed longer because it became really apparent that he wasn't getting up for a long while and she didn't want to leave without William.
She died in 1987 shortly after the second Missing Childrens Incident, and hadn't actually left Circus Baby until after the fire. So she spent about 36 years with no break inside the 7-foot-tall robot, and was extremely used to that. Once she's out and herself again, Elizabeth is suddenly about 4 feet tall and feels completely different. The closest thing I think to how she'd feel is weak/defenseless.
Michael managed to tell Elizabeth that William full well knew that Circus Baby would kill her if she went near it because that's what she was created to do, even having an emergency override: he just didn't pay enough attention to use it in time. She does end up believing this but it left her in a situation where she just couldn't trust anyone in the house for a while. William was shown to not really care about her as much as she thought he did, and she still didn't trust Michael. Elizabeth didn't trust Henry or Charlie either, and the rest of the Funtimes kicked Circus Baby (and by extension her) out to survive on her own. Eventually she built enough trust with everyone but it really did take a while.
The original MCI kids and Evan show up eventually, and Elizabeth subconsciously would count them and only really interact closely with one at a time when it was just the two of them. It's a habit she picked up from her time in Circus Baby and I don't think it really ever left her. So Elizabeth looks really shy at first, but really she's just functioning off of something that she has for years.
Circus Baby is still Scrap Baby when it comes to looks, but still goes by her normal name.
She has the claw on her right arm but no actual reason to use it, so sometimes she'll clamp down on something and not let go just for fun. This annoys basically everyone else since occasionally it will be one of their arms.
CB and Elizabeth still get along really well. CB's the only one Elizabeth trusts during that time period where no one else seemed trustworthy.
Everyone just calls Circus Baby either by her full name or CB (like I did here sometimes). But no one under any circumstances calls her just Baby. More from their own preference.
Molten Freddy
The Funtimes (minus Circus Baby who is still exiled) aren't exactly Molten Freddy anymore. They separated into their different characters again but take their sweet time figuring out how to take a form other than just a blob again. They'll figure it out eventually.
By eventually, I mean when Michael finally caves and goes back to the bunker for their casings. If Circus Baby can do it and not get locked back in, there's no way he can't (I would not doubt that the remains of his previous internal organs are still there, but he wasn't thinking about that part).
They get really excited seeing some of the most mundane slice-of-life things. Mike's building a LEGO set since he hasn't had enough time to do so in a while? They're immediately over there watching. The Funtimes probably haven't seen vents that aren't large enough for a grown man to crawl through and are questioning about why they exist if not as a mode of quick transportation around the house.
The Rockstars
Not much about them, but there's some notable things about the Rockstars I wanted to put here to finish this post off.
Rockstar Freddy's fucking dead. I'm not even holding back, he overheated in the fire and no amount of repairs are going to bring him back (UCN reference lol).
All the surviving Rockstars have some pretty bad fire damage, but none of them really care about it. The nice part of not having as much of a programmed personality is that you don't care how you look quite as much.
With Freddy gone, Rockstar Bonnie and Foxy do vocals together. Despite their grouping being called the Rockstars they actually do more country songs than anything.

A Little FNAF-Fanart and Lore AU Update~
I am working on some new FNAF fanart for my Micheal AU, progress is just slower because I have exams coming up and finals are also approaching. (Working on a degree qwq) But I did want to mention that when it comes to my understanding of the infamous lore of FNAF I dont consider the books or the movie (because I dont like either). I only use the agreed on names for characters like Henry or Charlie. I also dont care about the most pinpointed perfect time line. More so my rough idea of it. Mainly: -Single dad William is semi shit at being a single dad but generally cares about his kids
-William brings his kids to work occasionally and his youngest son is scared of the machines
-Mike is a lil shit and bullies his brother
-Mike accidentally kills his brother and William does not cope well with the loss. Trying to fix this somehow (he also blames Mike)
-William ends up killing Charlie for maybe revenge or just bitter spite
-He notices the puppet being strange and starts experiementing to maybe get his son "back"
-His experiement fails when Baby kills his daughter and William locks everything up and ignores it moving on to the MCI
-He decides to murder Mike (or get Elizabetz back) and sends him to Sister Location where Mike gets scooped and wisens up to his dad being a shithead deciding to hunt him down and stop him -Mike is the MC in all games except UCN (I dont count Security Breach as canon, more a funky spin off)
-Things end with Pizza Simulator and William goes to hell sponsored by Cassidy

Summary basically
FNaF4 when it first came out, Psychic Fredbear was the meme for awhile. Michael was the asshole towards his younger brother. Also dream theory was a thing back then.
Then FNaF SL came out, not only then we discover hospital items and the fact Aftons lived near one of their own locations. We saw Fredbear plush was actually a walkie talkie, and William knew of everything. The bullying, the trauma and all. Yet did nothing at all but talked thru Fredbear Plush. Fucker.
Trilogy books came out & security book, bad theories of Michael bullying himself (CC/BV), another bad theory of making an animatronic version of his sons he never even cared for in the slightest.
Nightmare's face appears on the cover of Twisted Ones. Another big hint staring at us in the face.
UCN came out, the nightmare animatronics actually directly hint to us that they were remade but not by him, by the one he should not have killed.
Using Umodel in Help Wanted, we found out ingame CC/BV's name is Norman. If you know how to use blender or any 3D editing program, then you know you can change the name. Steel Wool/Scott didn't do that obviously.
Freddy Mask bully's last name is Renner. Dude lost all of his shit, made a cult of the school and town even. Even when impaled, he still charged on to attack. He was filled with Agony. He was long gone. Not even human anymore. Surprised he lasted long as he had tbh.
Now the new theory (Until the book actually comes out for rest of us), is William filling Norman/CC/BV's bedroom with gas. The nightmare animatronics were just mannequins. It's possible the bullies, including Michael ofc, got affected by this gas.
Or maybe William, like his AU book self, injected remnant into the bullies. Just like Carlton.
We already knew William was a total bastard for smacking his kids around, neglecting them, and all. This though.. I didn't think was possible for this asshole to get even worse but he has.
Explains Mike's drawings in his own security book. Debunking the already bad theory of him bullying his tiny self. William had three kids. Not two. Michael, Elizabeth and Norman. Doesn't fully explain Renner. Not even confirming Nightmare's own identity yet.
Scott made this obvious as years go on, but it's always best to WAIT, until next new thing comes out. To keep piecing his FNaF together over time. This is how FNaF itself lasted long as an interest to so many like myself. He draws this out.
I think I got everything down. I've mulled over this, FNaF 4, for so long. Happy FNaF 4 gotten attention again, as it rightfully deserves.
Overall, I adore CC/Norman's version of Nightmare. His style of a muse. I was right about UCN being a RP playground of hell. Just sucks that CC/Norman might be alone, no Cassidy to assist him. He got the others, the rest of the dead kids. We saw Cassidy's name in the yellow princess quest in FNaF SB. Tho that is a new chapter of FNaF.

if u want- fnaf 6 thoughts? 🤠
anon I always want to share my thoughts on fnaf especially my favourite fnaf game
fnaf six was one of the most lore rich games in the series as well as frankly one of the games with the most actual,,, game. the two sections it's split into both contain lore you can stumble upon and actively seek out
I mostly enjoy how narratively rich it is, Henry finally shows up, and (sorry steel wool enjoyers) in my opinion would've been a perfect end to the franchise, even UCN being the last game would've been, frankly, perfect. The Henry monologue at the end ties all the strings together into a nice, satisfying bow.
Charlie, Elizabeth, the MCI1 kids (it got kinda retconned? from what I've heard that instead of deconstructing the suits in fnaf 3 William was stealing the remnant to power the funtimes,) Henry and Mike all got peace, they got laid to rest. The darkest pit of hell opened for William and we see that firsthand in UCN (which is why I think you can see these games going hand in hand really) and finally they get to rest.
In the insanity ending you get information on how shit in the fazbear universe works, you learn about RASCS (the audio lures that you use in fnaf 3 to lure springtrap that sound like children) you see blueprints for the scooper and you learn that Michael survived because the scooper had a remnant injector as well as the fact the stuff we already knew it could do. Even in the cut content (but still canon) we learn about molten freddy and that funtime freddy is possessed as well as baby.
Plus in the tycoon section we see William luring Suzie away and we learn potentially why crying child was scared of the springlock suits (in my opinion the 3 toed footprints outside his window could likely only be explained as spring bonnie, if it was the nightmares it would make more sense to be all of them, and the spring bonnie suit would make sense as William trying to frighten his son) and we get the connection between the colour of the fredbear plush from fnaf 4 and William confirming that he was the one speaking through it (you see the plush with a walkie talkie in fnaf 4)
it introduces new fazbear characters who show up later also, while I'm not the biggest fan of steel wool lore wise? I do enjoy security breach's gameplay and seeing el chip and music man was a nice touch. and it has candy cadet and the security puppet which re-shows Charlie's death with one key difference that overall security puppet and the midnight motorists "later that night" section seems to display the whole night of Charlie's death. we learn most of the MCI1 kids names.
it feels so full of love for the fans and it feels like the perfect conclusion. even the gameplay aspects, it feels like the perfect balance of goofy fun stuff and horror that fnaf has always been with the goofy character design but the absolute fright of being stuck with them all coming at you.
idk man I just love the game, its a mix of narrative and gameplay and a satisfying ending to the series, with some of the nostalgia bc SL and fnaf 6 were the games to bring me back into the series after falling out around fnaf 3

My dedicated take on FNAF as a series, is that if you only count the main games from 1 to UCN, you have an absolutely batshit insane and incoherent but satisfying enough story for the series. From that you get the story of William Afton and his wacky murder spree that blows up in his and his family's face, Henry the good-natured business partner and bystander to the chaos, and the legacy of the Freddy's franchise permanently haunted by its inability to let go of greed in the face of tragedy.
Even though I think the series long ago wrote itself into oblivion with a lack of direction or substance to its nightmare of a story, there is one core theme to it that I think is executed very well - that being to leave the demons to their demons and let sleeping dogs lie. Which is so ironic for this series it's almost a Shakespearan, but I digress.
I feel like I rarely see the anti-buisness aspect of the series talked about, which is like it's most strongly written feature both comedically and thematically. The games fucking loathe whoever the hell is ever running the locations at any point in time, with jokes about non-chalant health and safety violations and lackadaisical regard for the rights and lives of others. Which ends up paralleling Afton himself if he's not straight up running the joint. Afton and the In-Universe franchise are parallels to eachother, both unable to give up selfish and destructive pursuits in the face of complete backfire and tragedy, and they both come out of it haunted af and haunting eachother. Even though I said fuck everything but the game canon (meaning remnant from the books), I do think the pursuit if immortality is a good motive for Afton just cause it makes it similar to the Fazbear Franchise's constant need to stay relevant no matter what.
This then makes Henry a great foil to both the Franchise and Afton, being just an honest fucking guy who doesn't seem interested in abusing the legacy of his creations nor mf child murder. And Michael as well being like his father physically, but being someone who can tell when he's fucked up and hurt those around him and repent for it. Even going through hell and similar consequences as his father, but still staying on track to redeeming himself. If you squint and ignore a bunch of bullshit and focus on some reoccurring motifs, you can almost slap together a compelling tragedy about a mix of personal and corporate greed suffering supernatural wrath.
The animatronics too only ever seemed to become worse the more I learned about supplementary material. Just stopping at, "most of them are normal and got haunted, and sometimes Afton made wacky terrible monstrosities with haywire AI", is good for me. And it's insane it took till like?? Sister Location for their animosity towards the night guard (Mikey Afton) to be explained, but it works for what I was saying about Mike's character. That he's literally going through twice as much hell as his dad did over a fifth of the sins and holds true through the whole series. I appreciate the interplay between the animatronics as children's mascots and haunted abominations landing on them having a well-meaning but bloodthirsty hatred towards their murderer. And for the toys, it was probably just that their facial recognition software was seeing Mike as William, and they were doing their job to protect the kids perfectly fine lmao.
Even past UCN as the lore and what plot there is continues to be shot full of holes and repaired with scotch tape, that theme of misfortune from greed is atleast still there in Glitchtrap. But then once again, HOW ARE WE WRITING THIS AND YOU HAVENT STOPPED YET?

so. have some more Golden No Longer au things, specifically in regards to what i call The Glitchtrap/Malhare era! (i personally like the name Malhare better, because it matches with O'Hare, which is what i changed Springbonnie's name to)
so, a few lore things to keep in mind for this:
- i ignore a good 95% of shit from the books, including Remnant. it's for the sake of the timeline and my sanity.
- Golden No Longer is...kinda a rewrite, but is more or less my own version of the Fnaf timeline that has been made so that the timeline is much simpler than it is canonically and also makes Some Kind of sense.
- Malhare, at least in Golden No Longer, is basically a small piece of Afton's soul left behind that grew into its own thing. Afton, who is still in Ultimate Custom Night Hell thanks to Cassidy, is completely unaware of its existence, at least for a while.
- once we get into The Malhare Era, the plot Definitely shifts around a lot. new characters get introduced, there are some Familiar Last Names in there, and just some Funky Plot Stuff happens.
so! let's start off with some names. i'm sure some sound familiar :)
- Tabitha "Tabi" Smith
- Gregory Schmidt (well...he technically isn't aware that's his last name, because Orphan)
- Cassie Emily
- Vanessa Warren (not necessarily a familiar one, but there is an Easter Egg with that last name ;])
- Summer Afton Atkins
...so. you're probably wondering What The Fuck. well! i can answer those real quick!
- Fritz Smith (yes the Fnaf 2 Night 7 nightguard) had kids. plural. Fritz Jr. and Jeremy, the missing kids, being two of them. Tabi survived to adulthood, though.
- Mike Schmidt, who is different from Michael Afton in GNL AND is Cassidy's younger brother, married a nonbinary partner who he had a child with. that child ended up having a child (Gregory) that they weren't ready to care for, and thus gave up. Greg is entirely unaware of his technical last name, and the history of that name.
- Sammy Emily, after having a whole crisis after his father died in Pizzeria Simulator (he's dedicated his entire life for the past few decades for avenging his sister's death, as well as the deaths of several other children), married a woman that he adopted a child with. he also worked as a technician in the Pizzaplex. he wants Bonnie back >:/ Cassie doesn't know much about her father's history, but she has heard tales of her "dear Aunt Charlotte/Charlie" who died way too soon.
- Vanny. that's just her.
- so...long story short, William had some siblings, specifically a brother. :) this brother actually had kids that lived long enough to have children of their own. :) Summer is Afton's great niece, and he is the Tape Girl (Summer is genderqueer). oh yeah, they and Vanny are dating.
some brief plot things:
Summer and Vanny move to the Fnaf Town (i think it's called Hurricane?), and upon Summer introducing themself, they find people...looking at them weird, like there's something wrong with her. he feels confused; did it do something wrong?
the pair get jobs working for Fazbear Entertainment, and the pre-Help Wanted story stuff happens. Malhare causes problems for the couple, and they both reluctantly get involved with this shit.
Summer starts having nightmares of meeting Afton in Hell (UCN), and while he's hostile and closed off at first, he realizes that this is likely his only chance to talk with another person, so he eventually starts (unknowingly) chatting with his great niece. Summer views their chats as being more disturbing than anything else. Afton still doesn't know who Summer is, and vice-versa.
Summer Now Has A Glitchy Hare In His Brain, And So Does Vanny (but he causes more problems for Summer).
they go to work at the Pizzaplex, Vanny getting a job as a security guard, and Summer getting a more technician-type job.
Vanny is definitely more of a Reluctant Follower of Malhare (the idea of child murder is...unsettling for Vanny), but less so than Summer (Summer Fucking Hates All Of This).
Tabi, the younger sibling of two of the MCI kids and another security guard, has...rather negative opinions on the last name Afton, so to say...so Summer changes its last name to Atkins to avoid drama with her.
Malhare realizes Gregory exists and goes You Wanna Know What Would Be A Funny Idea? and that's how Security Breach happens.
Tabi's just trying to find Gregory so she can get him home or at least somewhere safer. Vanny is just trying to get the child murder over with so that she doesn't back out of this/get cold feet and piss off the Literal Glitchy Hare That Can Probably Kill her, and Summer is trying to fight off Malhare and lead Gregory to safety so that nothing bad happens.
everything works out, The End, Gregory is safe but the Pizzaplex is destroyed. Malhare is Pissed and is making that rather clear to Vanny and Summer. they're both relieved, though.
The Ruin DLC happens, and Malhare (as the Mimic) decides to go Alright You Guys Aren't Gonna Help Me Murder A Child? Fine, I'll Do It Myself. because yes Malhare, The Last Time Someone Killed An Emily Kid, That Ended Really Well For Them, Right? :) Sammy has dedicated his life to avenging a family member before, Malhare, don't fucking make him do it again, because you don't know how far he is willing to go.
Cassie survives, but just barely. Greg manages to help her get out, but not before Malhare and him lock eyes for a moment. Gregory booked it out at that point.
idk what happens from here, but. Probably Something
anyway, this is a brief plot summary so far. as always, feel free to send asks! ("Summer Is Effectively Being Forced To Start A Cycle All Over, And They Fucking Hate It So Much" is the best summary of this whole mess right here)

Okay lemme have a go at this, since i am in the FNAF spirit lately.. 1: I think i may have to give this one to Springtrap, that moldy bunny man is just really fun to draw personally, and as a horror antagonist his design is stellar. 2: This is a hard question because as far as the games go, the humans in this series tend not to get a lot of development, and in some cases we’re lucky to even get their official name several years later, but I like Mike and Charlie, both are really fun characters to try and add character to for AUs and make headcanons about. I personally headcanon Mike as bi. 3: Pizzeria sim just for how much it answers and how conclusive it feels. Out of all the “Click team fusion era games that were originally intended as endings” games in the series, FNAF 6 feels like the most satisfying ending. Though i can’t help but feel a certain sense of nostalgic creepiness from the original game, something about that one is just special. 4: There’s more than one antagonist....? Jokes aside, Afton is certainly an interesting beast to speculate on and is an iconic villain, which probably explains why they keep bringing him back no matter how convoluted the explanation for why he’s back might be. 5: Personally, with the right lighting i think Nightmare and Nightmarionne can be quite creepy. Nightmarionne especially just being this gangly, bendy, skeletal creature, and Nightmare’s face staring back at you from just outside the door, and their jumpscares are certainly disturbing the first time you see them. 6: As a matter of fact, part of the reason i am so suddenly interested in the fandom again is because i am currently trying to draw nearly every FNAF character in my cartoony art style, something i have been doing for years, and a little while back i even did my own designs for the various human characters in the series (Though if i felt up to it i would go back and maybe redesign some of them.) I also remember suggesting this theory that because the bite of 87 is so widely talked about in the series but we never see it happen, yet we DO see the bit of 83 but no one ever brings it up in the timeline again, maybe the bite of 83 was covered up for some reason and William Afton simply staged the bite of 87 as a reference to how his own son died. 7: Nightmare, Nightmare Fredbear and Nightmarionne in UCN i think have some of the best voice lines. Also quick shout out to how FNAF AR handled Toy Freddy’s voice lines, really helped the voice evolve past “Silly gamer Freddy” 8: Michael Afton being Foxy bro i think makes a lot of sense, it gives him a lot of depth since it would mean that he feels guilty over what he did to his younger brother and is being psychologically manipulated by his father to do what he’s doing to make up for what happened in 1983. Again, it gives a lot of depth to this character we know virtually so little about. 9: No, sorry to say, the books never really caught my interest, especially when i heard about some of the directions the story went in. But i have heard summaries of some of them and there are some neat concepts in there. 10: I remember seeing thumbnails for Markiplier’s playthrough of the original and being scared as hell (I also thought Bonnie was a Hippo at first, so i predicted Mr. Hippo years before he was created) So i stayed away for a bit, but then i started hearing theories around i think just before the second game was announced and because the idea of a game having such in-depth story hidden from you and left so vague and open-ended for the player to try to piece together intrigued me, so i hopped on board. 11: I don’t personally own any merch but my brothers do. Wouldn’t mind a Sanshee plush if i ever got one tbh. 12: I do not personally plan on going to see the movie as i have sadly stopped trying to keep up with the story and lore of the games actively but it looks interesting and maybe will introduce some neat concepts to the series i’ll adopt into AUs or something. 13: As shameful as it is for me to admit this, i never got around to playing any of the games, i just have had many other things on my plate. I’ve mostly just passively enjoyed them from watching other people play and talk about them. 14: Markiplier’s FNAF videos are pretty enjoyable, and shout out to Segan Hawkes and his FNAF retrospectives, very good in depth looks at the games. Bizabizow also does a good job redesigning the FNAF plushies, and GoMotion’s videos about FNAF are a good time too, i would highly recommend all of these people’s videos! 15: I think SB was fine but it didn’t get the chance to reach its full potential for a number of reasons and felt a bit unsatisfying to me personally, though i respect anyone who enjoyed it, and the characters and location are still really cool and enjoyable in their own ways. like i said, it was a fine game, just not what i personally was looking for in a FNAF game. 16: I think the lore has gotten a bit too tangled and convoluted for its own good, Remnant is kind of one of my least favorite aspects of the story, not a fan of the whole thing about Charlie in the books being a robot because that raises way too many questions, but at the same time, despite all my gripes with how insane and impossible to follow it can be, i still find the story and lore fun to think about and speculate on and think it’s awesome that the story is so open-ended and open to interpretation and is so perfectly templated for AUs and things like that. Many games since have tried to recapture that magic of the FNAF lore and it’s infinite possibilities for speculation and fanon, but FNAF still puts all the Bendys and Poppys of the internet to shame in my book. 17: i don’t want to get too deep into my feelings about these topics but all i’ll say is, i like many parts of the fandom, and i also think some people in the fandom were a little too quick to jump to Scott’s side without hesitation after the whole leaks about his secret donations came out and try to shame people simply for having concerns. I still enjoy being a FNAF fan but i don’t wanna get into the parts of the fandom i am not such a fan of right now. I don’t wanna start any arguments. 18: Personally, i like the story in the games as i said, but i feel the lore is at its most enjoyable and satisfying when you just take the parts of it you like and make your own AUs out of them, leaving out the parts of the story you’re not so big on. I also think that the Missing Children kind of got the short end of the story stick. We know a ton about the Aftons, and even a little about the Emily family, but the most we know about the Missing children are their names and even that took years for us to learn. I think the fandom also has a tendency to sort of toss these kids aside due to their lack of focus in the games lore and treat them as just numbers on a board, we sort of forget that these kids were just had their lives were cruely and suddenly snacthed from them, and they were imprisoned, trapped in the bodies of the characters they once loved and adored for like, 40+ years. We kind of don’t see a lot of sympathy for them anymore, because the games don’t really touch on them a lot, But that’s all a tangent for another day, so i’ll try not to leave it on a downer note. 19: Okay, tonal whiplash but i guess flaming Springtrap is kind of sick. And Flamethrower Endo is kinda neat i guess. Never really got into the AR game, tbh. 20: It has honestly been years since i thought about the fan songs tbh, so i can’t even answer this one as sad as it is to say. But because i don’t wanna end it on such an unsatisfying answer, i’ll add an additional thing and give my favorite human character headcanons. I like the headcanon that Charlie and Elizabeth were friends, since their dads were business partners, after all, and i also like the additional headcanon that if they had both.. You know.. Survived... They might have even developed feelings for each other. Oh and also i headcanon Fritz (The kid, not the night guard) as Non Binary.
20 Things to ask a FNAF fan:
1. Who’s your favorite animatronic?
2. Favorite human character?
3. Favorite game?
4. Favorite antagonist?
5. Scariest animatronic?
6. Have you ever contributed to the fandom? (Art, writing, theories, tiktok, etc.)
7. Favorite animatronic line/voice?
8. Favorite fan theory?
9. Have you ever read the books?
10. How long have you been in the fandom?
11. Do you own any merch?
12. Do you plan on going to see the movie?
13. How many games have you actually played?
14. Favorite YouTuber?
15. Thoughts on Security Breach?
16. Thoughts on the lore?
17. Thoughts on the fandom?
18. Tell us one thing about your own thoughts on the lore.
19. Favorite Fnaf AR skin?
20. Favorite Fnaf song?

After the Smoke Clears
"We've only just begun. I will never let you leave. I will never let you rest."
Hi! Back again with some more fnaf fanart! This time, what I believe to be Mike's fate after the ending of FNAF 6. I am a firm believer in Mike being the protagonist of UCN and also, and this is quite the hot take I know, the Man in Room 1280. It just makes too much sense to me that CC has not let his death go and has decided to trap Michael in a targeted Hell. Here's my thought process:
- William's fate is already known to be Glitchtrap -> Burntrap, and I think it'd be too confusing to give him two fates and Michael none
- We've already been shown through "I Always Come Back When The Plot Demands" William that FNAF doesn't care about a just ending.
- Whether or not Michael redeemed himself in the player's eyes, CC was killed as a child (at his birthday, no less) and had to suffer for decades. He would not be happy in the slightest.
- The description of the Man in Room 1280 more-so matches Michael's post-scoop fate than William's
- The lines from UCN say "He" as the one you should not have killed, and while Cassidy can be gender neutral, it's always swayed more feminine
- Adding onto the above point: "The one you should not have killed" William shouldn't have killed any of them. What makes Cassidy different than any of the other four (at least that we can find evidence for?) It makes more sense that the "one you should not have killed" would be CC in regards to Mike
Anyway, theories or not, I hope you all enjoy the drawing! ^~^

I haven't seen anyone else on here do it, so, I made this with all evidence I've found so far;
Vengful!Crying Child theory
-Why is Cassidy so special?
Every victim of William would hate his guts, what makes her any different? why not Gabriel? Susie? Jeremy? Fritz? what about Charlie? literally ANY soul that died by him or his creations.
-The Vengeful Spirit is a he, the animatronics make it clear they are talking about the spirit, not the animatronic they possess.
"𝗛𝗲'𝘀 here, and always watching, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱𝗻'𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗱." ~Mangle, UCN
"I HAVE SEEN 𝗛𝗜𝗠, 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗢𝗡𝗘 𝗬𝗢𝗨 𝗦𝗛𝗢𝗨𝗟𝗗𝗡'𝗧 𝗛𝗔𝗩𝗘 𝗞𝗜𝗟𝗟𝗘𝗗." ~ Withered Chica, UCN
"Greetings from the fire, and friend of what 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗱." ~ Jack-o Chica, UCN
"I am remade, but not by you, by 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗱." ~ Nightmare Freddy, UCN
-The Vengeful Spirit has a connection to the Nightmares too it seems. The only person who does is Crying Child (possibly even William too, whatever you believe).
-As for the Nightmares, even if it was Micheal who had the nightmares, Crying Child would still have a connection to them, unlike Cassidy. Crying Child would due to his purple toy telephone, despite it only appearing at night and never in the mini game.
"Was your favorite childhood toy a plastic purple telephone?" ~ likely Cassidy, in the log book
-The Vengeful Spirit has blond/brown hair, CC has brown hair (maybe even dark blond), Cassidy is described as being a girl with long black curly hair, in the books. Cassidy also has a feminine laugh/voice.
-Vengeful Spirit has blue eyes too, right? Crying Child's eye colour is technically unknown but his father's is gray/sliver (some make his eyes blue though) and Mike's are blue so I feel it's safe to assume he also has blue eye's like his brother and Cassidy has black eyes, not blue.
-Cassidy could be the one that was released. In the log book we see Puppet giving a girl (with LONG BLACK HAIR) a birthday cake. That girl is most likely Cassidy! Due to the book's representation of her. It matches the Happiest Day mini game, we mostly see Charile, the kid possessing Puppet, giving the cake. The other soul of Golden Freddy was freed. It could be foreshadowing that Cassidy was the one released.
-Why would Cassidy have a bigger role than the child of the main antagonist, with the first on screen death, and a whole ass GAME dedicated too? it's rather random, wouldn't you think? And honestly Scott doesn't do that, almost everything in the lore has meaning.
-Crying Child has a bigger relationship with William than Cassidy does. He (likely) suffered hell because of William. It would make sense for the kid to have a problem with his father.
-Vengeful spirits are aggressive, yeah? Well, it just so happens that damage to the frontal lobe increases irritability/anger.
-Crying Child would definitely hold a grudge with his father (and probably Henry) because of their creations that, ya know, killed them and others.
-Crying Child has so many reasons to be angry! They were tormented from a young age by their older brother - who they probably looked up to like most kids with older siblings, they (probably) saw their sister DIE, they'd get locked in rooms for what maybe felt like hours, their life was cut short because of their brother's stupid actions and their father's child killing machines!
-No one is confirmed to be the Vengeful Spirit though the Afton's play a pretty huge role in the FNaF lore; Elizabeth as the antagonist of SL, Mike as the main protagonist of most - if not all - games, and William as the main antagonist of pretty much every game. So, if Crying Child is the VS that would make complete sense, he'd be another antagonist.
-From gameplay I've seen of UCN when the room changes to Crying Child's you'll start to see VS sometimes, maybe? (for the record, I haven't played yet so this information may be inaccurate)
-The One You Should Not Have Killed could be ment metaphorically. This doesn't seem that likely but possible.
-Crying Child would probably blame Mike, his friends, and William for their death. I mean Mike and his friends are the ones who shoved their head in Fredbear's mouth and William is the one who built Fredbear. And Crying Child was probably hoping William would be their to help, to save them from having their head crushed but, lo and behold, he never came. He wasn't there to help. He never was!
A parent's job is to protect their children, even from each other.
-Now about William pulling the plug on Crying Child. In SL we see a Fredbear plush, a walkie talkie, and security cameras. As we see Fredbear's font colour changes in the end from bright yellow to light yellow. It's mostly like the darker colour is not William, because we see William working as Fredbear talks to Crying Child. William's goal is to gain immortality and likely wishes the same for his children. That would explain why he'd pull the plug on Crying Child, to make him immortal. That's his sick love.
-Now, it might be said that Crying Child is a scared being, not an angry one, but he would not be the first person ever to hide his true feelings, and letting only surface his emotions of the moment, like fear. The fact that he is a boy would suit better the Vengeful Spirit's description, and probably it's face too. Also, when Scott was looking for a voice actor for the Vengeful Spirit, he asked that it could be taken for the voice of a young girl or a young boy, which could have mislead us all along thinking, it was Cassidy's voice. But in the end, could it be a mix of Cassidy's and Crying Child's voices, and if I recall correctly, the Vengeful Spirits voice almost sounds like two voices at the same time...

Yeeee
Also these are so long that I'm only barely spell checking at this point so I hope they're still readable lol
So since Mike possesses his own corpse, he can disconnect his soul from his body the same way the other spirits can with their animatronics
He also uses an illusion disc similar to the way the fazbear frights books use them, so he just uses it to look not rotten
I also like the idea of him coding multiple forms for it, but the main two are just "looks normal" and "looks normal but with organs and no scoop wound this time" with are basically indistinguishable with his shirt on
All of the fun times AI and souls (only Circus Baby and Ballora are possesed) go back go their original animatronics and mike repairs them, but Ennards body still exists and eventually develops his own sentience the same way the other funtimes did
They realize hes not William but still dont know who he is and dont like him very much
He shortens Eggs Benedict to Ben because it's a much more normal name than Eggs
Lolbit is there too because I say so. They cause problems on purpose and say fuck gender, what else could you want
The entire town refers to him decaying and ejecting Ennard as "the purple incident" but dont bring it up in front of Mike out of respect for him
Practically no one in the town knows hes Michael Afton either, just that hes Mike and goes by several last names
Mike still let's them pay him like $3 an hour because they haven't given him a raise since the 80s even though that stopped being the legal minimum wage like 30 years ago
(Also hes both the owner of the company and dead so its not like money is an issue)
One time someone asked him why he disliked William so much (they know he hates William Afton, and they know he hates his father, but dont realize they're the same person) and he does Not Have The Energy to explain all the child murder and shit so he just says "he fucked my mom" and refuses to give any further context or clarification other than to say that hes not joking
Evan was right about pretty much everything and Mike knows it (the nightmares, the Fredbear plushie talking, what happened to Elizabeth, the animatronics were dangerous, etc.)
William and Mrs. Afton died on the same night but both were considered missing
Mike also knows about the cameras in his room
Mike has barely renovated the house because someday his family members might want their rooms back and he doesn't want to have changed them
(Though he did take the master bedroom for himself and moved his mother's stuff to his old room, but all of William's stuff is in trash bags in the basement somewhere)
William and Mrs. Afton both died on the same night but were considered missing
Mrs. Afton/Ballora realizes its Him after a while but doesn't say anything because he hasn't
Mike was 30 (so 1998) when he got scooped
William didn't die in the fnaf 3 fire, but the fnaf 6 fire never happened either, so at one point Mike went, found him again, and set him on fire again, and finally sent him to hell (UCN) because goddammit just stay dead already
I'll let you read this before starting with more lol

(rises from my grave) i want to talk about her actually cus its fun how absolutely fucking messy fnaf lore is its like my own personal jigsaw puzzle
so i always thought the fnaf timeline was kind of insane and makes no sense from like. a narrative standpoint. so i straight up just tried to come up with one on my own and then self inserted myself into it cus im just hot and genius like that
in MY fnaf there’s only three protagonists (disregarding VR and SB): Mike, Sienna (SI), and William.
Mike being the protagonist of 1, 3, SL, and Pizza Sim,
Sienna being the protagonist of 2 and Pizza Sim
And William being the protagonist of 6 year old hell simulator ❤️ (UCN)
I also crunch the timeline by like, a fucking LOT so it stems from 1983-2010. So in order the games would be taking place (tentatively…)
fnaf4: 1983
fnaf2: 1987
sister location: 1990
fnaf1: 1993
fnaf3: 2003
pizzeria simulator: 2010
(Sienna was born in 1970, so shes 40 by the time of Pizza Simulator. EASILY my oldest self insert. yet another example of scott’s violent homophobia.)
Sienna is Cassidy’s older sister. I want to make her and Michael like, narrative foils, so she has a similar role as him. When Cassidy got murked by William, it was because she got in a nasty fight with her at her birthday party and ran away crying, and that’s how she got lured in by themanbehindtheslaughter *wicked living tombstone bass rift plays.* Thus, it caused this remnant of misdirected rage at Sienna, similarly to Evan’s vengeance against Michael (golden duo theory bapy)
After the Missing Children’s Incident was officially declared a cold case, Sienna got pissed and decided to work at Fazbear’s under a fake name so she can investigate it herself, and that’s when she was subjected to the haunted animatronics trying to attack her at night, because Cassidy had been directing them at her out of anger as one of the causes for her death.
I like to think the fun little 8-bit minigames showing how the murders happen was actually like, something the spirits manifested as a game on the tablet to show Sienna how they were killed (kind of like the Princess Quest arcade game in Security Breach shut up its my au i do what i fucking want), and that’s how Sienna finally pieced together the kids were murdered.
She actually originally was just going to take her paycheck and fucking goes after night 5 because she got her answers, but then the second Missing Children’s Incident happened at the diner and she realized that something was fucking UP still so she just. broke in on Night 6 to figure out what the fuck happened there, and That was when she finally realized that the animatronics were haunted by the dead kids and that her sister was one of them.
Right before she could leave though she got attacked by Mangle, who did the funny 87 thing to her frontal lobe, and she actually died right there on the spot, until Cassidy, after seeing her fighting tooth and nail for nearly a week to try to find her, had a change of heart and used part of her soul to revive Sienna in the same way Elizabeth did to Michael. When Sienna woke up in the hospital, she swore to herself that she would get justice for the kids, and then that’s how she joined in on the scooby doo mystery series that Michael was on.
It was really frustrating though because obviously the police weren’t taking “bro trust me” as solid enough evidence to reopen the case so she was largely on her own for the next decade and it really did not help that everytime she got a lead the fucking place got burned down because William and Michael were having arson competitions in the meantime, so she had basically lost hope that she would ever get answers Or justice, but then the new Pizza Place in fnaf6 opened up in 2010 and she saw it as her last chance to save Cassidy.
so she just. you know. broke in. thats how she met corpse mike and after a few minutes of him trying to shoo her away with a broom she got to explaining her story and then mike went
Tumblr media
so now they’re close good revenge friends. the end.

Fazbear Frights: What We Found Analysis
Here’s my analysis for What We Found, the third story in Gumdrop Angel. I wrote this as I read so it may be a little different than my previous analysis where I read the story first and went back.
If you’re a Michael Afton fan I highly recommend this. Also, there’s possibly some insight into William Afton, Mrs. Afton, and Henry too, so it’s worth a skim.
Pg 144 '...a place thirty-some years forgotten' Just reconfirming FNAF 3 is 30 years past *one* of the FNAF closings, presumably FNAF 2 location.
Pg 145 "The whole building was giving him [Hudson] a headache." FIX THE VENTILATION BRUH
Pg 148 '...they were able to use salvaged derelict equiptment original to the old pizzerias.' Another confirmation of something we heard from Phone Guy.
Pg 147 "How old are you?" "Twenty-three, same as you." I think this gives us Michael's age during FNAF 3.
EDIT: This kept me awake last night. Obviously this is impossible because he has to be alive for at least 10 years before 1983, BUT maybe its just reconfirming FNAF 3′s year? 2023?
Pg 149 "Hudsan's dad died and his mom married Lewis, a ridiculous balding man who wore plaid vests and smoked a pipe" Did... Did this book just seriously imply Mrs. Afton left William for Henry? Really? (Yes, there's differences; the husband is dead and the man wears plaid 'vests' but it seems very odd to include that detail. This could just have been the writer's own imagination, though.) I have seen this as a fan theory and 100% explains the jealousy aspect of William, but I can't help but kinda hate it. I think this is very important, though, and probably Scott's intention. "This horrible little man [Lewis]... would make Hudson's next ten years a living Hell" This REALLY intrigues me given the context I just went over. The text implies Lewis was fairly neglectful to our main character / Michael stand-in Hudson. Maybe I'm wrong and for some reason Mrs. Emily left and went to William? XD Haha, I'm reading too much into this page. Maybe I'll come back to this later. I figure it's more of Scott possibly including double-details (contradicting stuff with the same character that really applies to two, which has been something I heavily pointed out in previous anaylsis on this blog) Having said that, I'm going w/the former because I can't imagine Henry being abusive (neglectful yes, abusive no) and he's never been portrayed that way in official works like William has in the novels.
Pg 150 "Hudson began to screw up in class...a product of spending the night in fear that his stepfather [Lewis]... [would] beat him just for the fun of it." Ooof. Big confirm on William actually being abusive. Unless we stick with the Henry theory for Lewis (combined with Midnight Motorist Henry theory / alcoholic). "...near-daily beatings..." "his mom started taking pills to get through the day..." So, whoever Mrs. Afton is, she was definetly not paying attention. But then, most people married to serial killers either don't notice because of denial (like this) or because the killer is so manipulative / careful they can't notice.
"Barry, who had red hair and freckles..." Yo?! Is that a description of Fritz?! These friends in the story could be the other kids Michael knew's stand-in's, aka the two gravestones with names he used (Fritz and Jeremy), as shown in the checks for the games and FNAF 6. I've long figured Michael was probably friends with the victims--it makes them easier, although riskier, targets [for William]. The two friends are male, too, like Fritz and Jeremy. If you're curious about Duane's description (our stand in for Jeremy), it's "tight black shirt... muscles... black hair long enough for a glossy ponytail..." I'm not sure if this matches anything found in the novels or contradicts them, though. (The novels = TSE trilogy)
"And so it went... until the night of the fire." For context, this is before FF burns down. We're learning of Hudson's life from his close friends in childhood, his father's death, his mother remarrying, to his abusive stepfather, to his grades slipping to this line. This would be a new fire not seen/mentioned in the games...
Pg 151 "...go to Charlie's for a sundae..." Really. Really Scott. Just gonna use this name again. OK. I'm not even gonna discuss this because it's probably irrelevant. *This is confirmed on pg 158 to be an ice cream shop. No lore relevance aside the annoying name coincidences Scott loves to troll with.
"This is not... an advance into enemy territory, a fight with demons, or a descent into Hell..." Uh, what? What is Hudson talking about? XD I'm only noting it because it seems so out of place. He's probably talking about video games or something.
Another note, although I don't have a specific reference since it is mentioned off-hand many times, is that Hudson keeps referring to his "history" which is implied to have kept him from getting a well-paying job and a girl he's crushing on doesn't know this "history" which is good for him. Seems good old "Michael Stand-In" has done some jail time or something. Edit: On pg 154/155 the girl asks Hudson, "Did you do it?" Seems he may have killed his stepfather or been involved with something else just as bad. Edit 2: No, I was thinking too deep into it. This probably refers to Evan's death at Fredbear's. DUH.
Pg 156 describes an actual "prize corner" in FF! What am I even reading? IIRC this is in FNAF 3, too. So they just hand out these scary gift boxes to people that complete the attraction? (Hudson says he *would* have fun handing out the scary toys to kids when this location opens--kind of a bully thing to do, eh?)
"[Hudson] avoid[ed] glancing in any of the mirrors..." I'm only pointing this out because it could be reference to one of two things. 1) We know because of one of UCN's music tracks, William has a fear of his reflection. Michael probably shares this trait, especially since 2) after Ennard and all... and later on pg 157 it also says, "he never wanted to face: himself" Sounds like guilt, my guy.
Pg 157 "blonde hair... blue eyes..." Hudson shares an eye color with Michael. It's possible Michael had blonde hair as a child and it changed to brown (it's common, something I personally went through being technically blonde/ blue eyed myself)
"He [Hudson] knew from personal experience that toys could turn from fun...to torture ina heart-beat" Fairly self explanatory. Either Hudson's worked at a creepy location before or he doesn't like remembering Fredbear's.
*checks how much is left.* There's still 35 pages (not counting back/front) left of this... This is gonna be a lot of notes.
Pg 158 Hudson doesn't have a car. Poor Mike, probably having to walk everywhere. Especially as a corpse.
Pg 160 This page describes many physical issues Hudson has that prevents him from entering the Navy, all from the abuse of Lewis. Obvious paralell to Michael becoming an undead [because his father sent him to CBPR indirectly causing his condition]
Pg 161 "How's your granny, Hud?... ...Is she still alive?" "I don't think she can die." Does anyone in the Afton family really 'die'? XD
Pg 162 These few pages discuss Hudson's grandmother. She's described as "a seer who claimed to know the future... ...wore big men's plaid flannel shirts with baggy jeans" Um, more plaid / flannel? AGH. STAHP. Lowkey, I would totally headcanon my Aunt Jen like this, though.
Pg 163 "Hudson's mom... the way she was before Hudson's dad had died... never... particularly warm and fuzzy... but... effiencient and responsible..." More about Mrs. Afton, so that's kinda neat.
"Hudson's dad was fun and attentive." There's a good Dad in this series?
"Unfortunetly, he also struggled with mental illness." "invisible low points" (Pg 164) Kinda reminds me of how Henry is described after Charlotte's death in the books.
Pg 164 "When Steven got himself into a bad deal that cost him his small business... he'd taken his life." Oh, it is Henry! SMH. Way to use confusing paralells. So, from our understanding thus far, Hudson's real father, Steven, is our Henry stand-in. His step-father despite being described similar to Henry, is actually our William stand-in. Fair game, Scott.
Pg 164 "...he [Hudson] was locked into a supply closet..." Oh shit, you guys. So, let me go on a tangent here, because this IS important! I just watched a retrospective on Sister Location and FNAF 6 earlier and one theory for Midnight Motorist was the person in the chair was the mother and the kid was Michael. I think this little line may confirm that. In fact, the story may be the key to figuring things out. Obviously, the line is a paralell to FNAF 4's scene in which Crying Child was locked in the supply closet of Fredbear's. I know some people, including Matpat, believe[d] CC was Michael, and in this book's context, it sort of works. This does contradict Step Closer and 1000 other things that make Michael the older brother, but maybe it's hinting at MM? Abusive stepdad (possibly Henry... maybe William is gone at this point), checked out Mom (hey, grey couch lady with Foxybro's font). IDK, but its definetly something to think about.
Pg 165 Lewis is mentioned as calling Hudson "nothing" and saying "you're nothing" on several occasions on this page. Just more abuse, for those accurate fanfic writers like me. Also I kinda wanna watch Morel Orel again. Yall know my fav character is Clay. Yall know.
"You're smoke." <-- Lewis / The text later reads, "...there was some irony, given what eventually happened." BRUH. Why did your stepdad die in a fire? :V TELL ME.
"When his family's house burned down at the end of his senior year..." Huh. Is there a fire we don't know about in the game-verse? Could this explain what happened to the FNAF 4 house before MM house?!
"...it purged Hudson of Lewis and his mother." MRS. AFTON BURNED ALIVE, TOO? Bruh. I can't with this story.
The text later describes the fire is concluded to be man-made and Hudson was blamed for it. Can't say if this ties to Michael, but it IS interesting... TBF, there is a small paralell to draw between Henry in FNAF 6 and his history of suicide in the books, too.
Pg 166 "...this place's [FF] busted thermostat.." I just find this line funny.
Pg 167 "...after three weeks of keeping an eye on the place" Some more timeline context for FNAF 3. We know that Michael worked there a little while before we start playing the game thanks to one of the phone calls, IIRC, so this makes sense. If Michael was accused of [something] and also wanting to hunt down his father, then it makes perfect sense why he's working a dead end job at Freddy's over and over and over. Fun fun fun.
Pg 169 "He hated to think about a functional character [Foxy]" This line is in regards to Hudson not liking the set up of Pirate's Cove and Foxy's hook to scare people. Sounds familiar, don't it? (For Michael anyway.)
Pg 173 "Some big find is arriving tomorrow." SPRINGY BOI! COME ON BOOK, get on with the show?
Pg 176 "Granny was wearing a red-and-green plaid shirt and her baggy jeans." Nothing special, but it was specifically brought up twice. I'm kind of racking my brain trying to understand what the point of this character is outside of "woooo everything is haunted don't you know that" kind of character.
Pg 180 "...dropped the crate on the linoleum with a resounding thud." HEY. Poor Springtrap, just gettin' tossed around like the trash he is.
Pg 186 "If you weren't so stupid, I'd tell you more about it." Springtrap bringing the burn. =:)
"A voice with a burr-like rasp...hint of a Southern accent" I'm going to assume this is because it's Lewis probably in the suit in this story and not our old British lad.
"It's was Mr. Atkin's voice." THE MATH TEACHER? *goes back to check* 'The algebra teacher'. Okay...
Pg 190 Okay, so Hudson hear's Lewis' voice this time. Okay, I get it now. Springtrap in this kind of imbodies all of Hudson's old bullies, including the teacher. He also has PTSD, just FYI. IDK if anyone finds that important, but it's fairly obvious by the line "He wasn't in his bedroom. Lewis didn't just slam his head into a desk; his head had been slammed into the [arcade] game."
"Why did he hallucinate a scene from his childhood?" Oh, it's not PTSD, then. It's just the VENTILATION ERROR. lol Okay.
Just a note, as I'm reading through the more action-based stuff, I kind of feel bad for Michael if he had flashbacks like this guy. They're intense.
So, Lewis' voice finally comes out of Springtrap on Pg 213. There's that.
Pg 220 "You can just stay there [in his room]" Kind of a paralell to Midnight Motorist. Lewis is saying it to Hudson. I really feel like the kid in the MM game is Michael because of this story...
Pg 223 "Heat purges. Fire heals." I'm sure that's Henry's life motto.
The ending was stupid, but most in these stories are. Hudson is hallucinating and is implied to have burned himself alive in FF's oven. Meh? The first half of this one is A TRIP and a little insight into what I 100% believe is Michael's childhood. I think the saddest part of it all is that we never got Springtrap speaking to Michael in FNAF 3--and if it's ever remade I hope we get more of them interacting.

Fnaf headcanons? Timeline? Bro give me the whole thing please, i beg you. Even the smol crumbs will do/hj
- 🕧
you have no idea what you just did /lh
okay so my personal michael games timeline is fnaf4 > sl > fnaf2 > fnaf1 > fnaf3 > ffps > ucn (not including hw or sb bc they r not included in The Michael Moments)
so basically there’s so much evidence that you play as michael afton in all the fnaf games (aside from 4 and ucn, where you play as crying child and william afton respectively) also ill be speaking as if all of this is true. none is confirmed bc scott hates me so much and refuses to release a canon timeline
sister location taking place before 1 + 2 makes a lot of sense if you look at it if u play as michael. plus the fact that in fnaf 2 elizabeth is already dead (which is something that happens In the sister location)
in sl you do actually canonly play as michael. at the end you get killed by and taken over by ennard and through the next week you turn into a living rotting corpse. ennard leaves the body after they cant pilot the body anymore. however michael is still alive
fast forward to fnaf2. which while not really outright canonly, basically canonly takes place before fnaf1. in both sets of games however (the custom night nightguard if it’s fnaf2) you get fired for tampering with the animatronics and bad odor. how the fuck would someone get fired for just smelling bad. unless they’re a living walking corpse that smells like actual death.
now go to fnaf 3. idr if it’s rlly implied or not that u play as michael i won’t lie fnaf3 is my least fave fnaf game 😭 however it would make sense because. the game ends by you setting fire to the building in an attempt to kill the springtrap animatronic (who is possessed by the ghost of william afton, who died in the suit)
now we go to ffps (freddy fazbear’s pizzeria simulator). you play as this budding entrepreneur who wants to start up his own restaurant in the fazbear chain. except on the last night the building gets set fire to. killing the player, william afton, the animatronic who is possessed by elizabeth afton, and the animatronic possessed by charlie emily.
the game ends with a few different monologues from henry emily, the father of charlie and one of the original owners of fazbear entertainment who used to be good friends with william.
also in ucn i do believe you play as william and it’s his personal hell, due to the old man consequence thing. which is basically you having to go to the red lake and drown yourself as a very very slowed down audio clip of a man screaming “mike” and “henry” is being played in the background
anyways that’s just a theory a g [GUNSHOT NOISE]
