Half the reason FNAF lore is so complicated is because every time we’re given a simple answer theorist will be like “but what if it wasn’t like that” and come up with the most convoluted shit ever to explain how
#like miketrap#and ucn being mike’s hell and not william’s#and now it’s ‘Andrew is the toysnhk in the games’#even though it was widely accepted andrew was just a cassidy parallel#and there’s no evidence to suggest andrew exists in game#but now he’s apparently some seventh victim that hasn’t ever been mentioned#‘oh toysnhk is referred to as he it can’t be Cassidy’#be for real you know scott used he in a generic sense and was a dumbass with no foresight to use they for a gender ambiguous character#which he confirmed the vengeful spirit is supposed to be btw#I swear to god one of the arguments is ‘cassidy doesn’t seem vengeful in the logbook’#like hey guess what! characters can have complex personalities and not defined by one trait!#especially since she wasn’t even talking to or about william in the logbook she’s talking to cc#we know cassidy is important! she has a whole screenplay written about her! why do you keep trying to take that away#okay I’m done now but I could say more#rotomtalks#fnaf#five nights at freddy's

Idk if any fnaf fans follow me but omg. I was watching a video yesterday where someone analyzed the lore behind all of the UCN voicelines and I realized something.
CC is controlling the Nightmares.
Two lines in particular seem to support this theory:
1. "I was always hiding in your shadow" -N. Freddy
- implies the speaker had some sort of relationship with Afton (assuming afton is the player) that The One You Should Not Have Killed (TOYSNHK) wouldn't have
- who wanted to hide all the time? Yeah! That's right! CC!!!!!
2. "We know who our friends are, and you are not one of them." -Nightmare Fredbear
- come on. It's a blatant reference to cc and his toys. Also a young boy's voice can be heard behind his lines (this line in particular, I can't really hear it in the other ones)
Also, the Nightmares were unique to CC. No one else would be able to "give them flesh" as multiple of them say, because no one else knew what they looked like. Even if you subscribe to the idea that they're the results of nightmare gas or illusion discs, Afton still would have had no way of knowing what exactly his son was seeing and therefore could not "give them flesh." And the same applies to TOYSNHK. (Assuming that they're Andrew or Cassidy and not CC.)
(This is kind of thrown off by the existence of that one Fredbear drawing in the logbook. That drawing drives me crazy. How the heck did Michael know???)
Now, the girl I was watching (I'll link her video, it was really good) thought that it being CC couldn't be the case because his soul was freed during the Happiest Day mini game. However, I was under the impression that the bad ending of FNAF 3 is canon. (If I'm wrong please let me know.) And besides that, according to FNAF 6 all the souls were freed, and yet it's implied (specifically by Withered Bonnie's "what is this new prison? is it me trapped? Or is it you? Perhaps it is us both" line, all of Marionette's lines, and Withered Chica's lines) that some of the original spirits are still here and trapped because of TOYSNHK's unwillingness to let Afton go.
I'm not saying I think CC is aware of exactly who he is torturing. But I think if I were a child who lived in torment all my life (because dad left me alone to fend for myself against my brother) and then died because of one of my father's creations, I would be a little miffed at him too. And even if he doesn't remember exactly how he died I think agony could lead him to blame Afton and willingly torture him too. I think if anyone deserves to be super vengeful it's that poor kid. Idk maybe it's obvious that CC is my favorite human FNAF character and Golden Freddy is my favorite animatronic.
(Blame my friend @gamusgoober for this. his amazing FNAF in real time video reawakened my fnaf hyperfixation)

Hey can I post a theory here and get criticized without being burned for using the correct pronouns of TOYSNHK?
Basically the theory is what if Andrew [now unfortunately canon] was fighting against Cassidy. The reason why is I swore it said 2 entities fighting for control over William's brain. Cassidy trying to force William into his hell he designed and dragged the souls from heaven to do while Andrew trying to make William stay alive and suffer while being barely alive but not in a coma.
ok so I have to quickly say why I'm using he/him for TOYSNHK 1. Chicas' voiceline "I have seen HIM the one you should not have killed"
2. since its clear mike brooks and novel Cassidy were slammed together to make games Cassidy and Jeremy was put in as filler for the lack of bonnie soul it is a high chance gender also was changed between black hair / brown hair Cassidy and blonde hair Cassidy.
3. Movie Cassidy just being TOYSNHK with lighting.
anyways back onto main theory it would be interesting to see if Cassidy had control over the remnant while Andrew not having full control of the agony let William escape Cassidy while taking over Andrew. Once Cassidy has to figure out what to do now that the souls have left him and their forced prolonged existence to go to the afterlife. Cassidy is left lost and lurks the earth again maybe even haunting a banner in virtual reality.
Andrew on the other hand. He's gone. Once William absorbs him into the agony Andrew is weak and hopeless. Andrew may be partially in control of burntrap but he can't do anything if he tried. William having control of his agony and remnant makes his reach further.
yes I don't support burnic/glitchtrapmimic it doesn't make sense in my eyes with how mimic is characterized nor the fact mimics virtual form is tiger rock so you could say thats a fault to the theory.
I don't think that Andrew is game continuity personally, but I won't get on your case for using male pronouns for the Vengeful Spirit. No matter what spirit it is, the animatronic itself is a guy (which is how I make sense of the FNAF 2 'save him' minigame when Charlie is a girl).
Interesting ideas though, and it's nice to see someone else who doesn't believe Mimictrap XD

People have been fighting over who's who and what's canon and stuff for literally forever, and FNaF and it's lore has grown so much over the past 10 years, that its gotten to the point where my personal headcanon/belief is that there's multiple timelines for the same story now.
Think of it like a train route map. For example, UCN would be a station, and there's two timelines(or routes) branching off of it.
Theres one timeline where Andrew does exist, which means he's TOYSNHK, the books are canon, and Cassidy is probably a girl, and there another timeline where Andrew doesn't exist, which means the books probably aren't canon (unless my 'Andrew ans Cassidy are the same person' joke theory turns out to be true somehow) and Cassidy is TOYSNHK, which meas Cassdy is probably a boy.
Is this Canon? Eh, probably not. Obviously, FNaF already has different timelines and stuff with the Silver Eyes and Movie(s), but it's how I like to rationalize any inconsistencies and randomly changing lore in the games, too.
#five nights at freddy's#fnaf cassidy#fnaf andrew#FNaF: into the TOYSNHKverse#or just into the FNaFverse#both work#in some timeline fnaf ended at 1 and everything else has just been a really weird fever dream

Okay, so, the TOYSNHK debate. In UCN, there's a character called "The One You Should Not Have Killed" who is a child killed by William that is now torturing him. There are two options for who this kid could be: Cassidy, who is all but confirmed to be the 5th MCI kid, and Andrew, a character who originates from the Fazbear Frights books, and who you believe to be TOYSNHK hinges almost entirely on whether or not you believe StitchlineGames, the theory that the Fazbear Frights epilogues and all connected stories are part of the game continuity.
With Cassidy, you have the heavy emphasis on Golden Freddy in UCN, however there's the issue of TOYSNHK being referred to with he/him pronouns, and Cassidy is all but confirmed to be a girl. The most common way to get around this is by arguing that since Golden Freddy is a he, it's referring to the suit, not the spirit.
With Andrew, you've got the fact that he fills the Vengeful Spirit role in Frights, with the main issue being that there's next to no evidence of him existing in the games. The only real "evidence" for his existence is the Toy Chica cutscenes possibly implying a seventh Afton victim alongside Charlie and the MCI, and a specific interpretation of Midnight Motorist called AndrewMM, stating that MM depicts Andrew being kidnapped by William.
The recent Into The Pit teasers include a short GIF of Pittrap in front of the MCI corpses, and there's a sixth corpse hidden in the shadows, like in the original story, which means Andrew could potentially be introduced to the games here. However, since the Pit MCI is an altered memory, it's just as likely that that sixth corpse is Charlie, so CassidyTOYSNHK and AndrewTOYSNHK are basically on even footing right now.
All this is to say that I am incredibly hyped for Into The Pit GIVE ME THE LORE GIVE IT TO ME GIVE IT GRAAAAUARGH
JUST WHEN I THOUGHT I HAD THE LORE OF GAMES 1-6 DOWN (also some of UCN) PRETTY WELL…. (I do not. I know the basics and have my own interpretations and I love headcanoning stuff for the human characters but FUCK LMAO)
I know Cassidy!!!!! I don’t know the backstory or anything people came up with (I can imagine everybody’s probably got a bit of a different headcanon or something like most things in this series but idk!), I’ve seen some great art of her. I’ve heard theories that she’s the vengeful spirit because she died in a…”worse” (FOR LACK OF A BETTER TERM, JFC—) way than the others- like being springlocked. But also I have no clue. But I know her!
As soon as we bring in things form the novels I’m like, okay I’m checked out, I don’t know things from that canon😭😭 maaaaybe one day. But idk
BUT ALSO IM HYPED FOR INTO THE PIT, THE ART STYLE LOOKS COOL AS HELLLLLLLLLLLL!!!
