not to e-beg again but i’m frighteningly Poor™️ at the moment and am having trouble affording groceries. the local food pantry i go to will be closed for the next week, which means that i’ll have to go shopping this week :’)
i’m still waiting on funds to come in from my school to help with my living expenses, and unfortunately traveling to the rez to visit family wasn’t as covered by my dad as i needed it to be.
long story short: i’m super broke at the moment and need to be able to get gas (i live in a semi-rural area—driving is unfortunately a necessity) and eat. my paycheck will be coming soon to cover my car payment, and rent for this month is taken care of for now— but in the meantime, we are in a really tight spot.
i’m hoping to raise like $100-150 to help cover this week’s groceries and gas. since we got a used printer for my partner’s birthday, i’m also willing to mail out signed prints of any of my artworks that you like with donations greater than $20 (you’ll just need to DM me a mailing address you’re comfortable with sharing. you can send it to my discord, gerardkeay, and delete the message if you’d like once i post it.)

hey friends, i am honestly having a very tough time with between family stuff and not being able to work the last few months due to health issues. this month has been A Lot and both my partner and i are completely (mentally and emotionally) wiped out. i made a ko-fi just for support - i'm not on the verge of collapse or anything, life is just hard and i would appreciate some help ❤️

i love christmas yet i'm dreading it bc i can never stop spending soo much money i do not have on little gifts for my friends and family 🥲
#in march i bought a baby bear onesie for my friend who just had a baby but it was too big for him then it got too warm#so he didn't get to wear it before he outgrew it#THEN i bought him a new one in october in his new size but it was already super tight on him somehow when it arrived#so i just bought it again in the next two sizes 😭#this baby WILL get a whole season out of baby near onesie 😤#but i can't even wait for christmas to give her the new ones bc they'll probably both be too small by then for all i know#so it's not even a christmas present im gonna give them to her immediately when they arrive in three days#then i need to get her a separate christmas present#and that's just one of my friends#ugh#i want to mix up little hot chocolate mixes in mason jars for everyone but I'll have to customize each one#bc half my friends are allergic to dairy and each prefers a different non dairy milk substitute#idek which of those come in powdered form 🤨#anyway#maybe i can leave the dairy out all together and make them dark chocolate hot chocolate mixes and they can use whatever milk they want#idkkk#but i ordered jars and they were enormous so now i need to order new jars and cocoa powder is expensive actually#that's just my friends nevermind my family lol#and im only working like 2 days a week for $14/hr currently#so not super great#alas#i do love christmas but i NEED to curb my gifting enthusiasm this year bc i can not afford it lol#this has been a shitpost#i can't help it i love giving people presents 😭

haaaahh i took a trip to the ER the other day for chest pain which i finally decided to wake up my friend and have them call an ambulance because it had been happening for hours, the nurse hotline suggested it, and i couldn't think of any reason for it to be anxiety. Turns out it was anxiety. And after a couple days of reflection I think I know what triggered it and boy howdy is it Embarrassing so i will now crawl in a hole with my shiny new medical bills and die.

Bodies are so fucking stupid!!!!#The only fucking symptom was tightness in my chest that was slowly getting worse and hurt more with deep breaths.#The only anxiety/panic attacks i've had before (maybe 2? 3? over the years?) were nothing like that#long story short i made myself upset and when my body reacted to that i just got worried abt my body which made everything worse over time#as it continued to not improve ✌#Like!! It took me a couple days to even think of a reason i might have been upset???#why such a reaction when i barely remembered the fuckin trigger!!!!#w/e. im fine. that's the important bit i suppose

I need to acquire new shoes as nearly all of mine (2 out of the 3 pairs of shoes i own. one of which fell into a river one time so I use them only for hiking and walking my dogs) are getting holes in them…

does anyone have any tips on how to gather the courage for several big expenses
#wind howls#going to buy the parts to build my very first pc. and my god. im terrified#a friend in my class helped me out a bunch though. were both on tight budgets so he found me the best parts for cheapest and im grateful#but the second to worst part is buying them. the absolute worst part is assembly#i dont know the first thing about builing a pc and im terrified really. what if i get incompatible parts or even break them ???#and why is more storage so expensive ??? i want big boy storage but i dont have the money to be paying a billion trillion dollars for it#genuinely if anyone has any tips for pc building i would be most grateful even if its youtube channels or reddit threads for baby beginners#🥺😭

I hate braces and retainers for a load of reasons but I remember asking my mom if I would be able to keep the gap between my two front teeth and she said "we'll see"
AND GUESS WHAT
WHERE'S THE FUCKING GAP
ALL I HAVE IS A METAL BAR HOLDING THEM TOGETHER
I didn't fucking ASK for my mom to spend thousands of dollars making a smile that wasn't my own but she did and I have to be thankful for that.
And on top of that she makes me feel guilty if I don't wear retainers? How do YOU feel about having two pieces of plastic shoved in your mouth EVERY NIGHT that makes you grind your teeth and triggers your gag reflex all night. I can't fucking sleep like that, hence why I abandoned the retainers after like 2-3 months.
Are my teeth shifting? Yes. Is my smile mine? No. It's still the straight (mostly) white fucking billboard style of excessive money.
#this makes it sound recent but I got my braces off like 5-6 years ago#stone's scretches#and the binded retainer makes flossing harder#and brushing harder#so I just dont tell her anymore that I dont wear the retainers#AND THOSE ARE FUCKINGG EXPENSIVE AND BREAK SO EASILY#I tell my dentist that the retainers are 'tight' since they *would* be if they fit but they dont cause it's been 5 years#and the orthodontist tells you not to wear them if they really hurt anyways
