“And you’ll make someone a great ex wife,” he shot back, tossing the wig back at her. “I can see it now: the EX Mrs. Jason Newsted. You two are made for each other.” Her only response was to flip him off.

The recording cut out, restarting at what appeared to be a club. Fannie and her friends on stage, playing.

It's a Friday night. Surprisingly, they've got a big crowd tonight. What's even more surprising is there is a group of girls here. He makes eye contact with one of them. He thinks he's seen her around school. But he doesn't know her well. He never pegged her for a metal fan. He can't help but give a soft smile before he grabs the mike.

If not, feel free to ignore this message. ❤️ I've been so livid and angry about some peoples rasist, sexist and dare I say queerphobic behaviour all because of a fucking FICTIONAL character!! It's been going on for months but this is really the tip of the iceberg, like fuck those hypocritical asslickers and lfj for instigating it, for everything they said. Wanting for Ryan to get deported? Like where to? Texas?? All of a sudden he's not white enough lmao. And everything else they are saying about him and Oliver and Angela Bassett??? I'm not saying lfj didn't get hate but lmao he knew for like two months that he was leaving... Them claiming he's a victim and that he was bullied of the show when he was only a guest star and sorry to say not that great of an actor... I have no sympathy for him and based on all the problematic shit he said, I'm glad we are rid of him and his minions. Good riddance I say, no one is going to miss them! And with the shitstorm they are causing, why would the show want lfj back or any show for that matter??? I wasn't around prior to S7, but I understand what Tim meant about the fandom being worse than ever. I've been in some fandoms where things were tense but nothing like this. Sorry for the rant, it's just so infuriating to see how they behave toward real life people over a bland fictional character. They can like who they want for whatever reason, but imo there here are tons of better gay characters out there and claiming he was some revolutionary representation or whatever tells me all I need to know about them. Oh Nonny, it's clear you needed to get this off your chest. It's okay. I get it.

You only came in during season 7? You missed such a great period before that. I'm not saying everything was alway perfect and there definitely was fandom discourse. That's unavoidable. But it was discourse on another level. Nowhere near the level we reached over the last couple of months.

But as soon as the Tommies appeared things changed considerably. We were all harassed, accused of terrible things and called 'delusional' for shipping Buddie, a ship that had been around since season 2.

We went from a relative peaceful fandom to a toxic fandom in one single episode. I got called homophobic for not really vibing with Tommy two days after the episode had aired. It was the beginning of a long and very exhausting journey for all of us.

Tommy/Lou and his unhinged fans are the worst thing that has ever happened to the 911 fandom.

But what is done is done. We can't go back. We can only move forward from here. And the future seems so much brighter. No more Tommy and after the way Lou egged his fans on to attack the show and Oliver? Well, we won't ever see him back at ABC. 😏

So let it all out Nonny and then move on. We're in the thick of things right now, but it will all soon pass. As soon as the fandom moves on to the new episode, the Tommies will scatter and probably follow Lou to SWAT. Some hardcore Tommies will stick around, but if we all collectively ignore them, they'll eventually go away as well.

SO. mythical j. sausage infodump time.

(note: i will only be talking about his empires smp s1 lore here bc that’s what im most familiar with, but just know that he’s one of the most lore-heavy CCs i watch, and it shows in his empires smp lore, which spans across like 3 different servers lol) (also btw: empires smp is a minecraft series in which 12-13 players each rule their own biome, or “empire,” and each has their own main item that they export, and have a monopoly on)

lord mythical j. sausage of mythland started out as a generally friendly and peaceful guy, but conflict quickly broke out between him and codfather jimmy, ruler of the neighboring swamp, over a series of escalating thefts and pranks. in this conflict, sausage teamed up with Wizard Gem of the crystal cliffs and Count fWhip of the grimlands, forming the Wither Rose Alliance. (note: these guys were so heavily sibling coded. it was fantastic)

within this alliance, sausage was often the odd one out. gem and fwhip’s empires were right next to each other, while mythland was a lot farther away, and it was also kind of their bit that gem and fwhip would mess with sausage a bit. also, there was the fact that gem had magic, and fwhip had cool tech, and sausage had neither of those things, instead dabbling in blood sacrifices and dark magic (both of which gem very much disapproved of).

this came to a head when xornoth, the demon menacing the server, trapped the wither rose alliance in the nether, and fwhip and gem decided to sacrifice sausage to reopen their portal and let them out. xornoth had been tempting sausage for some time at this point, so at this betrayal, he lashed out and eventually became fully corrupted, leaving the wither rose alliance.

oh shit this got long so i’ll sparknotes the rest:

after being corrupted, sausage would often black out, and during this time “dark sausage” (aka evil him with no morals or anything, fully corrupted) would start wreaking havoc

after leaving the WRA, his main allies were Farmer Queen Pearl (a later addition to the WRA, liked the demon bc he kept trying to kill her and it was like enrichment in her enclosure) and Joey of the Lost Empire (known monsterfucker, also corrupted by the demon)

many crimes later, he was eventually cleansed of his corruption when gem killed him with her magical staff. he was dead For Real for a while after that, and came back to life jesus style after taking a walk with his dog (actually a magical interdimensional being) through 5 of his past lives. since coming back he started getting prophetic dreams, and also rejoined the wither rose alliance

at the apocalyptic end of empires smp season 1 (which happened when count fwhip and codfather jimmy put salmon and cod into a power reactor together, causing a huge explosion that fractured the whole continent), sausage had to watch pearl, his best friend and the person who stayed by his side while he was at his worst, wither away in front of him as her empire burned (her life force was connected to her land, so when it died she did too) (it’s okay she canonically ascended to godhood lol) and then went home to find mythland overrun with the same (evil and magical btw) sheep that he used to sacrifice for his blood magic, and they were completely trashing the place.

and then he blew up in a magical explosion trying to get rid of all of the sheep and also his evil double, dark sausage (which you may remember from earlier- he split off from sausage when gem cleansed him of the corruption)

(also btw, empires smp is a vanilla server- all of the magic and cool tech and stuff were done through a combination of roleplay and a custom textures mod they added for immersion stuff)

this is barely touching on most of the roleplay and shenanigans that went on in empires smp season 1 btw. these are the important beats of sausage’s story but like. i haven’t even told you about the fishfuckers man. there’s so much. there were 12 players on this server and all of them had some absolutely wild shit happening. i didn’t even tell you about the human sacrifices sausage did

Next time I write a post in broad strokes to prove a point unrelated to the initial point I was trying to make, I'll be sure to be as pedantic as possible about it.

Asuka daring Sol to kill him in Strive was when he was holding him by the throat, seconds before he pulls the Flame of Corruption out of him.

Sol isn't stupid. He had a few chances before this to try to kill him, but they were aware of Happy Chaos (and I-No) by then and Asuka had both information and abilities Sol and the others needed not to get obliterated by a sorcerer stronger than even Asuka. Even in this scene where Asuka offers him the chance to kill him, he's also offering him the first and only time ever to rid him of the thing that's made his life a living hell for over 150 years.

I don't have anything substantial to add about the Xrd part. It's right at the end of Revelator though, so probably it was meant as a "to be continued" teaser more than anything else. Who knows.

For the last point: Here's a collection of the many times Sol vows to kill Asuka, sometimes directly to his face:

The last lines here are Sol's win quotes against Asuka in Strive. It's implied that the in-game dialog takes place after the events of the main story.

The others are from Strive, Xrd, and Overture. I don't feel like digging for even more, but this is hardly the tip of the iceberg. Sol very much wants Asuka dead, even after having the FoC removed, and I don't know how you (or so many others) got the impression he didn't.

You can always tell who in GG spaces actually knows how Sol Badguy ticks versus who only knows the outer layer stuff about him based entirely on who they think he actually, genuinely, hates and who he's just puffing hot air at

Examples:

Sol doesn't hate Ky. At most he thought he was annoying back in the Holy Order days, but Sol thinks everyone is at least mildly annoying

Sol hates Asuka. This is evident in how Sol threatens Asuka's life (and means it) every chance he gets

Sol is a character that says one thing and then his actions say what he really feels and I think that trips people up a lot if they don't notice it

Yes! Disney was manipulating the show's pacing and main events for a long time (see Dana never intending for Luz to get into Hexside so early, but the executives wanted it as a nod to HP), and we only know the tip of the iceberg of things the crew went through to get this show to be what it is today. TOH is not perfect, and it doesn't have to be; we could never blame the crew for it.

As for The Collector, this might be just my particular experience, but it feels like a lot of the negative feelings folks have comes from them being a child, specifically one that was initially written as "malicious".

Children characters are often treated as two dimensional and less complex than the teen/adult characters. The first impression people get from them is usually the one that stays. If a kid character is written as an antagonist, they're unredeemable, if they're a hero, they're the purest cinnamon rolls incapable of doing wrong.

See Chara and Asriel from Undertale, many times Chara is treated as a violent demon while in game they're as neutral as can be. Asriel, despite agreeing to Chara's plan in the first place, is the poor baby creature who was manipulated (disclaimer I love both of them very much, specially Azzy)

After all, they're children! It's not like they're capable of thought and have all the feelings adults have but none of the experience on how to regulate them, right?

The Collector is complex; he was manipulated into harming people, he is a loving kid with a heart of gold, they're a bit possessive, they're scared of being alone.

I wish fandoms (and everyone in general) would be a bit more kind to kids ^^;

In the wake of the cancellation of Warrior Nun, I am imploring anyone who has Disney+ to watch Willow (2022).

It features a woman loving woman romantic subplot at the forefront, meaning it’s not in the subtext. Episode 1 has them kiss and afterward the lines of romance exist so throughout the narrative for these two characters that it is current and seen to the point that it cannot be argued away.

But there’s next to no buzz for it, only the Disney+ app really promotes it as something to watch with the odd ad showing up on Instagram of the cast playing mini games.

On top of that, it is a well written show that holds all of the love of the original film from the 80s.

I know that it would appear that numbers don’t seem to matter, but I am begging people to watch this show because it is a fantastic piece of media that delights in paying homage to the source material it comes from.

Like imagine Lestat bringing up different libertines who sucked absolute pathetic miserable ass while he and Daniel are doing a ton of coke and sucking and fucking and killing their way through various nightclubs and Daniel is like wait hold on…., Are we the baddies???

Like ohhh wait a minute, maybe this bravado of throwing oneself headfirst into reckless hedonism, declaring you’re totally aware of all your baseness and unconcerned with it, is not in fact a sign of self-acceptance but actually the mark of someone who still has no idea how to reckon with themselves or the harm they do to others and is struggling chaotically to compensate for it… also maybe you don’t want to be a “Casanova” if a Casanova is the type of man who has an “affair” with a child he purchased.
