(this is one was made on a mini sketch book that’s about the size of my phone while I was on a car. I didn’t like it much, since I feel like this doesn’t look like CJ at all, but Mr. Jash did like it… which surprised me a lot.)

(This one was made in a rush. I was running out of time since I had procrastinated all day long, so I threw together whatever came to my head first. Don’t like it much as well.)

- Day 6. Forest.

(This is. By far. The best drawing I’ve made for Jashtober. I loved how it turned out and, even if setting it on fire was a risky move, the photos/video I took of it came out awesome! Post-burning, he [somehow] got a hole in his head?? Which kinda bummed me, but still. Easily one of the best art I’ve done.)

- Days 8+9. Tidal+Crusin’

(Not much commentary on this one since it was kind of made on the spot. I liked it a lot too, but it’s not on the top three lmao. Mr Jash also liked this one :])

Well damn. Aight.

1. Where and how did they meet?

Summertime. Copperdale, NY. Right outside of Hattie's home. It's in the pilot episode of the series.

2. Was it love at first sight?

They were seven so... no lol.

3. If it was not love at first sight, how and when did they know it was love?

So, Lou knew before Imogen did. For him it was the summer they both turned 15. Imogen was upset because Krystle was making fun of her for not having her first kiss yet. Lou being Lou he offered to do it. Even though he had a girlfriend at the time. Kiss didn't mean anything to her, but it took Lou's head through a loop. He broke things of with the girl he was dating the next day. We got to see it click in Imogen's head. It was when she was talking to her mom before she hung out with Lou at the campsite. That was in episode 2 of the series.

4. What feature(s) do they find most attractive about their partner?

For Imogen, she'd say it's his eyes, lips, and hair. (Even though he cut it. She's upset about that.) He's also got really nice teeth, so seeing him smile is always a treat. Lou would say the same for Imogen, but he'd also include her legs, chest, and feet. I don't know. He gives me that vibe that feet would be his thing. Imogen's are nice. Tattooed, soft, and she always has a fresh pedicure.

5. What traits / personality aspects do they like most about their partner?

Imogen adores how sociable and chatty Lou is. He'd talk to a brick if it could talk back. She thinks his ability to speak to anyone makes him very brave. For Lou, he adores how sweet Imogen is but primarily towards him. It's a different sweetness and softness that she shows to other people. With him it's how lovingly she'll stare him or how sweet she'd talk to him. As if she had honey dripping from her lips. It's a side of herself that only he gets to see. He thinks it's the best side.

6. Do they have any habits their partner finds annoying?

Imogen is a bed snacker. She likes to crawl in bed with some chips or fresh veggies and just go to town. Lou hates it. He hates the crumbs, he hates the trash. He likes keeping the bed in pristine condition. There's only a few exceptions he'll make and none of them is food related. Lou doesn't stick to a side of the bed and it works Imogen's nerves. She likes to sleep on the right side of the bed. It's in the perfect position. It's close to Sozin's bed. It's close to thefan they have in the bedroom. Lou will fall asleep wherever. Right, left, middle- doesn't matter. He's huge and he takes up so much space. She hates it!

7. Is there anything about their partner they would like to change?

Lou thinks Imogen is the pinnacle of perfection, so he wouldn't change a thing. If you asked Imogen, she's refer to the last question lmao.

8. Where did they have their first date?

Their first real date was to the bronx zoo. It was a day trip. Lou planned the whole thing since Imogen couldn't decide where they should go. He didn't mind. He wanted to take her to see the giant anteaters because he knew she loved them. They hadn't been to the zoo together since they were kids. It was a nice date.

9. When and where did they have their first kiss?

I mentioned it earlier, but it was the summer they turned 15 in Hattie's garden. It was really brief. Just a peck. Nothing memorable for Imogen, but it had an impact on Lou.

10. How long have they been together?

At this current point in the series they've officially been together for about 2 years.

11. Will they stay together for a long time?

I'm sure it comes as a surprise to no one, but Lou and Imogen are end-game. They are my soulmate couple. There's not a lifetime they haven't been together.

12. Do they have many problems in the relationship or just a few? Or none?

They don't have problems often because they've gotten used to each other over the years. They usually squash them relatively quickly, but some times they'll have disagreements that span over a few days. Nothing too deep. It's usually just lighthearted problems.

13. Is there a big age difference between the partners, a small difference or are they the same age?

They're the same age. Imogen is older by two months.

14. Do other people approve or disapprove of the relationship?

They had a rough start, but people love them together now.

15. If someone disapproves of the relationship, who is it, and why do they disapprove?

The most interesting culprit is Dallas. Though she loves them together now, it took some getting used to. She loves Lou, but she felt like the two of them moved way too fast. From getting together, moving in together, getting engaged- it all happened in the span of a few months. They're both still very young and she just wanted them to save some stuff for the future.

16. Does the couple care if people disapprove of them being together?

Imogen adores her mom and wants her approval. As does Lou, but whether they got it or not they'd still be together.

17. Are they married?

Yes but they haven't had the ceremony just yet. Imogen is a Carranza now.

18. If they’re not married, do they want to be?

Lou nor Imogen every really thought marriage would be in the cards for them. Imogen had always been a little too strange to be liked openly, so she didn't think it was a possibility. Lou knew he'd want to get married one day after growing up seeing Dallas and Cale. After the events of the summer before the series began, he didn't think it'd be possible. Who'd wanna marry a monster? They were both painfully wrong.

19. Would they elope, have a small intimate wedding, big fancy wedding, or something else?

They're having a small wedding. Just a few friends and family members in Greece.

20. Where would they go on their honeymoon or dream vacation?

The two of them don't want to have a honeymoon. Travelling isn't much of a luxury for them, because of the amount of wealth Imogen's family has. If they want to go on a trip then all they have to do is make time for it.

21. Do they have any children? Do they want any?

Not yet. Imogen is fine with two. Lou wants a basketball team.

22. What is their favourite thing to do together?

Anything and everything as long as they're alone. They love their friends. A lot honestly, but nothing beats the two of them just hanging out around the house together uninterrupted. They love sitting down and getting into a good show together. Something scandalous and maybe a little trashy.

23. Where is their favourite place to go together?

It used to be the pier when they lived in Copperdale, but now it's a thrift store in their neighborhood. It's over near a pizza shop and ice cream parlor, so they make a whole event of it. They'll shop, grab a bite to eat, and then walk around the area.

24. Do they have a song?

I used to think it'd be Roslyn, but no they'd love "Beach Baby" by Bon Iver. It's one of the songs Lou would often ask Imogen to play on her guitar before they went to bed. It's their thing.

25. Do they have any pet names / nicknames for each other?

I don't think a day has gone by in recent years that Lou hasn't called Imogen "angel". Sometimes he may slip in a "baby" but it is almost always "angel". I haven't found anything that's stuck for Imogen. She's said "baba" or " lovebug" but nothing really works for her. I think it's because she just really loves his name. She likes saying it. I mean it's his, so how could she not?

26. Are they jealous?

YES. IMOGEN MORESO THAN LOU.

27. Is this a first relationship for either of them?

This is Imogen's first relationship. No one has ever liked her enough to ask until Lou. Lou has had plenty.

28. How do they show affection for each other?

They're very hands on with each other. Lots of hugs, lots of kisses. Imogen loves doing Lou's hair. Combing it, washing it, anything really. He enjoys a good scalp massage so he happily allows her to. Lou loves a good smooch. On the cheeks, on her forehead, on her lips- he's not at all particular.

29. How do they cheer their partner up when they’re sad?

Imogen can help Lou get out of a funk by going on a walk. He likes to walk and talk about what's bothering him. So, rain or shine, if Lou is feeling down then Imogen'll suggest a walk. Imogen likes a good cuddle. Especially in any position where Lou will lay on her chest and talk to her. He can usually get a giggle out of her just by rambling as he always does. She can't be upset for long after that.

30. Is either of the partners a ‘hopeless romantic’?  

Honestly.. netiher of them are. If something happened between the two of them it would completely shatter their perception of love. It's the only romantic love either of them have known.

Kinda! I was supposed to be born a boy, and absolutely nothing was prepared for me when I turned out to be female. And mom went "I like my sister's name" and named me that. (This caused a lot of drama.) So I wasn't named after her per se but....

Hair. Weird thing, right? Mostly because I'm always impressed by how people can keep their hair tamed. (me, with curly hair: [despair]) Followed quickly by body language.

Brown! I'm told it looks green up close but ehhhh. (doubt)

Scary movies! Or, you know, scary movies with (relative) happy endings are also good!

I have a knack for detecting accents/identifying languages and having a general, if not specific, idea of where people are from. I also have a scarily good aim. (though my form is atrocious and under no circumstances should ever be mimicked)

I'm also a pretty decent cook! Bit hit or miss as a baker, though.

hmmm. i think it depends, especially on how you interpret the end of 'bile is sweeter', but my gut instinct is 'despite all of his efforts'.

7. what's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

mmmm. none of them? jk jk, kind of. i think they're all bittersweet is the thing. maybe 'penance'? or ik(dyk)? actually no, it's def 'penance'. neither of them end super fluffy, (or fluffy at all? fuzzy at best), but like i personally think, as hard won as it is, 'penance' has a happy ending.

8. do you get hate on fics?

i have not yet!! shockingly.

9. do you write smut? If so, what kind?

rn my top ship is timkon, no contest. love those two very much. platonic or romantic i am sat.

15. What's a WIP you want to finish but doubt you will?

any of them? all of them? i have one fic with like actual words written, everything else is percolating in my mind. i have a decent track record of finishing stuff i start...but starting is difficult. i'm trying to work on that tho!! i really love writing and every time i sweet talk myself into it i'm like omg why don't we do this more often. baby cue would be horrified at how little i write.

16. What are your writing strengths?

making people cry. at the ripe-old age of 7 i decided the best writing was the kind that elicited a physical reaction, which to me was either tears or laughter and i don't think i'm funny. so bringing the pain it was.

and dialogue. i'm super picky about my dialogue and i act out convos + read exchanges out loud. i worry sometimes that i like have too many "blah blah bla-" type lines, but like when people are arguing, nobody is getting out full sentences lmao. there's a balance to it, for sure tho

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

setting/description. i have the worst White Room Syndrome ever i fear. like, okay, so writing for me typically feels like i'm watching something play out and just recording what i see, and uh what i see is usually characters interacting. sometimes they're interacting with their environment but ehhhhh. so i have to make a conscious effort to have my writing not be talking heads interspersed with chekhov's guns

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

i don't do it. too paranoid about it being wrong. i don't mind it when someone else does it, but if i was going to do it foreign language dialogue would probably be written like "<This is not English>." with a note at the beginning that dialogue in <> is X language.

19. First fandom you wrote for?

i was going to say tmnt, but then i remembered i wrote warrior cats fic way before i knew what fic was omg. stopppppp. i was like eight, i think? but like. consciously knew that i was writing fanfic? tmnt.

20. Favourite fic you've written?

hmmmm. this is probs a tie between 'penance' and 'ik(dyk)' rn, the former was just so much fun to write and the latter features robin!jason and dick bonding which i'm particularly fond of rn hehe this was sm fun!! no pressure tagging @androxys @librarylexicon @tevyaa, @coyote-nebula, @motleyfam and anyone else who sees this and wants to play!!

I'm a teen who basically told my parents aromanticism exists today... well, the conversation happened at lunch, when they were talking about some of my cousins' lives. My mom mentioned she'd just realized how one of my cousins is 22 and apparently never had a boyfriend before. "Wow, she's really focused on her studies and life goals", my mom commented. "She really never dated anyone that we know of. I'd never thought about that before". I quietly mentioned I had, in fact, thought about it before- I just didn't say I had thought about that more times than they might think, since all those times I was wondering about the possibility of another aro in the family. "At this age everyone has already had at least a few crushes, been hurt by love, or kissed people a few times", she completed. "Not everyone", I said. She replied "well, pretty much everyone- people who haven't must be like, less than 1% of people. It's almost impossible". I said "not completely impossible, though". After a few seconds of silence, I asked "have you ever heard of aromantics?" She said she hadn't, and I said "they're people who don't fall in love with others". She basically scoffed and said "yes, there's always those tribes at some point- emos, aromantics, whatever else" (looking back, I find it kind of hilarious how much she misunderstood what emos were and just lumped them in with us lmao). I got a little bit defensive, but tried to make it not be noticeable, and said "'aromantic' is actually an identity, though- what do you think the 'a' in 'lgbtqia+' stands for? It's asexuals and aromantics". She said she didn't know that and basically ended the subject saying "well, yes, there's all kinds of people in this world- maybe your cousin is part of that group then", but I felt it wasn't in a serious tone- she was just trying to end the conversation and looking at me like I didn't know much about stuff. Well, the reception could have been worse, and I guess she somehow acknowledged the existence of aromanticism, but I still felt a little bad about it- like she didn't actually put any thought into it and maybe didn't actually believe in me, or take the identity seriously. I don't really plan on coming out to my family any time soon (I'm not even sure about being aroace anyway- I'm still young, and wonder if I'm not just confused and still going to feel attraction some day), but this conversation made me even more apprehensive about it. I hope over the years I can make my parents at least believe this is a valid identity before thinking of coming out to them.

By the way, sorry if this was confusing- English isn't my first language.

Guys. I had a crazy day earlier. 😭 Me and my mom went to get food and once we got it we were just sitting in my car for a minute when we saw this guy stumbling down the street. And at first we were just watching him like “ah, so sad, another drug addict on something”.

But this dude freaking collapsed on the side of the road. On his back, arms out, not moving. He was OUT. So we were like uh. We should call 9-1-1 probably?

I called 9-1-1 and I don’t know why but I wasn’t expecting the dispatcher to want me to check on the guy (I don’t know why I didn’t think that like, duh they’d want you to check) so we got out of the car and I went over to him and yeah, he was completely out. No response at all to anything.

And I am NOT the type of person to take charge doing anything. Usually I would’ve even made my mom call 9-1-1. But for some reason I started talking when the dispatcher answered and once I got out to check on the guy I was just focused in on trying to do what the dispatcher told me.

Dispatcher told me to watch his chest super carefully and put my hand near his nose/mouth to see how often he was breathing. And I was like. I don’t think he IS breathing. I could feel a super fast heartbeat but his chest wasn’t rising and I didn’t feel any air. The dispatcher was starting to walk me through how to do CPR, like I had my hands on him to start chest compressions when this guy ran over out of nowhere like “I’M AN EMT, MOVE!” and he took over the chest compressions. Thank god.

Before the EMT got there the dude on the ground was making this weird gargling/gasping noise and I couldn’t think of what it was called at the time but I’ve listened to enough true crime/911 call podcasts to know that it’s BAD. The type of breaths you take when you’re dying. The EMT guy called it agonal breathing after and I was like yes, I knew it was bad I just couldn’t remember what it was called.

But when the actual ambulance got there they said he had a pulse, so thank god for that guy. If I had to do it myself I don’t know if he would’ve had one tbh. I know how hard it is to do chest compressions, how tiring it is and how hard you have to actually press for it to work properly. Hard enough that you can sometimes break ribs doing it. But I’ve never taken a class or anything for it so I was freaked out. I was going to try, but holy crap.

My mom on the other hand was running around like a chicken with its head cut off, lmao. The dispatcher told me to ask someone to get a defibrillator if I could, so I told my mom to go to the pharmacy that we were close to and ask them, so off she went and after that I was so focused on the dispatcher and doing what he was saying that I don’t even know where my mom was for most of it. I think she went into like three different stores before anyone else bothered to come help and by then the ambulance was there.

And when he first fell, this guy had two friends walking with him. They literally just ignored him and kept walking. I saw one random guy just walk right past him. Another one walked up to him and sort of smacked him in the face but when he got no response he just left. So by then we were on the phone with 911 and getting out of the car to check on him.

I think eventually one of his friends came back? I guess, because he had a big cup of water from the 7/11 and he was pouring it over the guy’s face and kept repeating to me “I told him not to do that stuff, I told him not to do that, I only did some weed but I told him not to do that stuff”. But I was basically ignoring him because I was trying to listen to the dispatcher who I had on speakerphone. And by the time the ambulance came that guy was long gone, so I guess it was his “friend”, but he wasn’t gonna stick around to talk to the EMTs or the cops. That’s the main reason I’m sure it was an overdose. Plus this guy was maybe mid-20s. He wasn’t like an old man that maybe had a heart attack or something. Like I know that stuff can happen to young people but… no.

Anyway, I made sure to thank that random EMT guy before he left because damn. Lucky he was there.

Once it was over and I was back in my car I was trying not to cry, I think just from the adrenaline lol. It’s so weird like as it’s happening, it’s like you’re in your own world. I didn’t know where my mom was and didn’t care, I wasn’t listening to that guy, I was just focused in on listening to the dispatcher. It didn’t even feel like it took that long for the ambulance to get there, which in that situation you would think usually it would feel like they’re taking forever even if they aren’t, but by the time I heard the sirens I thought “wow they got here fast”.

We can get free NARCAN kits from pharmacies here too. Every time I get my prescriptions I see the sign there that says to ask about their free NARCAN kits and I always think about it but never do. Well now I’m going to. Because it would’ve been handy to have today.

I hope dude ends up okay. It’s sad how many people just ignored him while dude was literally dying on the side of the road. And yes, me and my mom assumed he was a drug addict too because of how he was stumbling around before he fell. But damn, I wasn’t going to just leave him there and drive away when we watched it happen. :/ It’s like some people just think eh another druggie, leave him be. He was also obviously not okay, it wasn’t like he was sitting against the building half asleep or something so you could maybe think he’s just high or whatever. He went down on the side of the road and you could tell it was bad. And like I said before, he looked maybe 25. He was young, he had a skateboard with him. And when the ambulance got there, they didn’t even seem to be in a rush when they got out. Like they were so used to this type of call it was just another normal day to them. 🙁

Anyway. After that we all just went about our days. Don’t even know what his name was but hopefully he makes it.

1. What was the first piece of furniture you bought?

my *very* first piece of furniture was a futon whose cost i split with three other roommates, freshman year of college. i napped/lounged/homeworked on that futon probably more than anyone else all four years of undergrad, lmao. we got it from a habitat from humanity sale and it was CLUTCH

my first non-cheapo/non-ikea furniture would be the wooden dinner table i split with my husband when we moved in together. it's SO pretty and nice and i love it so much... and he DEFINITELY had to talk me into it because i have no sense of ~*~interior decoration aesthetics~*~ and was like "do we really need this idk it seems too fancy...." (he was 100% correct and, come to think of it, is responsible for pretty much all our furniture. it's ok, i contribute all the stuffed animals, i'm helping)

11. What’s something you saved up for and then regretted buying?

for years all my skibrah buddies were like "bro you gotta get an Epic Pass it's the only way to ski bro" & one year i FINALLY caved and got an epic pass and... then due to illness/injury i wasn't even able to USE the thing to the fullest, and also, most of the bit of skiing i wound up doing was at a NON-EPIC MOUNTAIN, so. all i got was the warm n fuzzy feeling of "paying lots of money to the evil conglomerate that's slowly jacking up the price of skiing all across the entire world." UGH

45. What’s something you wish you had more time for?

if i had an extra three hours a day i could do job + all my hobbies + get adequate sleep. however i do not have those three hours so more-often-then-not i sleep less than i'd like (and uhhh sometimes i job less than i should, but, don't tell my boss that)

52. Did your relationship with your parents get better when you stopped living with them?

Oh yeah, absolutely. Though I guess there was a little back-n-forth, like...

High school: Relationship with mom was so-so but overall fine

College: Relationship with mom gets much worse. In hindsight, she was definitely working through some Empty Nester Feelings TM and i kinda got the brunt of that, but also, I probably wasn't as nice about it as I could've been haha

First job out of college: Mom's SO much more chill. So chill that, when I end up doing a residency in another city & plot to land a job on the west coast, I'm like "why don't I just move back home for a bit in-between gigs"

Living at home again: BAD idea lmfao. Things are really tense and bad

West coast job: Both mom & I are still a little wounded for a year or two, but stuff's much better from there on out, and nowadays I definitely count mom among my best friends.

(my dad was present through all this but that relationship's always been stable, by the virtue of me being Basically The Same Person As My Dad, lol)
