Co-captains | Leah Williamson x Lionesses!Reader
Where your teammates try to get you with someone at the World Cup to make Leah jealous
Woso masterlist | Words: 1.7k
-----
While representing your country was always an honour, especially at the World Cup, it felt different this time around. Ever since you were thirteen you had represented England with your best friend Leah, but this year she wouldn’t be there with you.
Leah had done her ACL a few months before the World Cup, everyone was devastated for her. The injury in itself was horrible, but to have it happen right before a big tournament like the World Cup made it even worse.
Besides being best friends, you had also been co-captains for your country the past couple of years. Doing this tournament without her felt wrong, but you knew you had to step up and make her proud.
The team had definitely noticed your mood during your training sessions in Australia. You were very grateful to be a part of the team, but not having Leah there to do it with you kept playing over and over in your head.
“Missing Leah?” Keira asked as she sat down next to you in the hotel lobby. “Yeah, I wish she was here with us.” A playful smirk formed on Keira’s face. “What?” You asked with your brows furrowed. “Oh nothing, but if I were you I’d turn around.” You had no idea what was going on, but you turned around like she said.
“Lee!” You quickly stood up when you saw your best friend walk through the doors. “You’re here!” With a couple steps you had reached her and wrapped your arms around her. “I’m here.” She whispered.
“I can’t believe you’re really here.” You hadn’t smiled this much since you had gotten to Australia. “You didn’t think I was gonna sit this one out completely, did you?”
You let Leah greet the rest of the girls, and hugged her brother Jacob who had been filming the whole thing. “Jakey, I saw you a few days ago, how could you not have told me?” The first day you had landed in Australia, you had gone to visit Leah’s brother. The two of you had talked about the World Cup, and Leah’s wellbeing, and yet he hadn’t said a word about this surprise. He playfully shrugs his shoulders. “What would have been the fun in ruining the surprise?”
The rest of the day was filled with laughter and excitement. Leah joined you at training, while she wasn’t playing, she was a captain at heart and had plenty to say to prepare her team for the upcoming games.
After training you all gathered in the common room of the hotel, you sat down between Ella and Jordan. The room filled with a mix of conversations about everything and nothing. Leah was sitting across the room from you, and every now and again your eyes would fall on her. A small smile playing at your lips when she would look your way as well.
“Look at them,” Alessia said softly enough for only Ella to hear. “They’re such idiots.” Ella followed her best friend’s eyes between you and Leah, “Completely clueless.” Alessia nodded in agreement, “We’ve really got to do something about that.”
An idea formed in Ella’s mind and a smirk grew on her face. “I’ve got an idea.” She turned back towards you. She spoke loud enough for all of the team to hear this time. “So, y/n, it’s been ages since you’ve been on a date, hasn’t it?”
The question took you off guard, seemingly coming out of nowhere. “Eh, I guess so. What does that have to do with anything?” You felt watched by everyone on the team and suddenly you grew nervous.
“Oh, I was just thinking that we could help you out. There are so many good looking players at this tournament, there must be one that has caught your eye, right?” Your cheeks flushed as the intensity of the eyes on you grew stronger. “Oh, eh, I don’t know. I’ve just been focussed on football.”
Your eyes darted to Leah, silently asking for help. She was sitting back in her chair, looking nonchalantly, but for a second you thought you saw a flicker of sadness in her eyes. Before you could think about it further Jordan chimed in on the conversation.
“Oh come on, there must be someone. Name one player you think is fit.” You felt put on the spot, so you named the first player that came to mind. “Oh eh, maybe Alexia Putellas, she’s a very talented player.”
The team erupted in laughter at how you were still choosing to look at this through football lenses. Only one person wasn’t laughing, and that was Leah. Her jaw was clenched as she looked at you, but it went unnoticed by you.
“I can definitely set you up with Alexia. In fact, I can call her right now!” Keira joined in on the fun. No! Please don’t do that.” You didn’t like the turn this was taking. “Oh I won’t then, someone else maybe?”
Everyone on the team joined in on calling out names. Raso? Rölfo? Kaneryd? Bonmatí? Kennedy? Sonnet? Fleming?
Leah sat watching the scene unfold unamused. Her arms were crossed and her expression had turned into a frown. Everyone was enjoying getting a reaction out of you by listing every player they could think of, so they hadn’t noticed the change in her demeanour, until she stood up abruptly. Her chair loudly clattering against the floor.
The room went fully silent. No more names being thrown around, and no more laughter. “I eh, I’m gonna go check on her.” You stood up and followed in the direction Leah took off in.
“Lee, what’s wrong?” You say as you reach her about to open her hotel room. She huffed and walked into the room, just before the door closed behind her, you managed to slip through.
“Nothing, go meet up with any one of those people the girls mention. Go out, have fun.” Your brow furrowed, “Lee, I don’t know what’s going on. But-” She cut you off before you could continue telling her that you never said you wanted to meet up with those people, that it was just coming from your teammates.
“I can’t deal with listening to you potentially being with any one of those people. I don’t wanna hear who you think is good looking or fit. I don’t want to hear it because… because I want you to think of me that way.” The last part of her sentence was barely above a whisper.
You stood there, too stunned to get out any words. Leah figured she had put it on the table now, so she might as well continue what she just started. "I like you. I like you more than just my best friend. More than I ever thought I would. I didn’t realise it until I heard you talk about other girls that way.” She looked up at you nervously.
“Well, I was going to say that I didn’t talk about any of the people that way, and that it was only the girls doing so. And honestly the reason for that is because I only have eyes for you Leah. I like you too, I have for a long time.”
“You do?” Your smile grew, “Yes, you dummy. I’ve been a total grump without you here. You are the only person that I want. I don’t care about any other players going into this competition, it’s always been you.”
Leah stood up quickly and moved towards you. “I am so happy to hear you say that.” She said with her face mere inches away from yours. One look at her lips and then quickly diverting your eyes back to hers, was enough for Leah to lean in and connect your lips.
The kiss was short and sweet. It was everything you had hoped it would be and more. “Will you be my girlfriend?” Leah asked as soon as you pulled away from the kiss. “Definitely.” You said with a big smile.
“Can we go back down and show the girls everything is alright?” You asked shyly, not wanting to make Leah feel bad for walking out on everyone the way that she did. “Only if we can tell them that they can stop trying to match you up with someone.” You chuckled at her request. “Deal.”
As you walked back to the girls, Leah took ahold of your hand and gave it a soft squeeze. You couldn’t believe that she was your girlfriend, but you knew that with Leah by your side everything was going to be great.
The atmosphere in the common room shifted the second the both of you walked in. The team had been quietly speculating about what had happened, and if they had taken things too far.
As soon as they looked at your intertwined hands, the speculation started back up again, this time in the direction of did this actually work?
“Everything alright?” Keira asked with a knowing smile. Leah glanced at you and squeezed your hand once more. “Yeah, everything is more than alright.” She pulled you a little closer. “You can stop matchmaking, I’m taking her out tomorrow morning.”
The room filled with cheers and laughter. A few of the girls high fived each other. “Finally, I thought we were going to have to list every player in the tournament before the two of you finally got together.” Ella says dramatically, earning a laugh from the whole group, including you and Leah.
The teasing of the girls didn’t stop, but this time around it felt different. Leah’s arm was wrapped around your shoulder, with her thumb lightly caressing your arm.
You still had the tournament ahead of you, but tonight had given you a bit of extra encouragement to perform better than you had ever done before. You felt ready to take on the world and make Leah proud.

I love you writing! Could you do something with jealous Sebastian?
A joke too much
words: 1,3k
status: non-proof read
tags: established relationship, sebastian is jealous, random nameless guy to fill in for the plot, comfort & bad diving suit jokes
sebastian might be a bit ooc but that's nothing new lol
Despite all the horrible things that had happened so far in the drastic depths of the Hadal Blackside, you were more certain than ever that hardships are easier to overcome with a group of co-workers—or, in this case, familiar victims of the expendable project that Urbanshade had set up to retrieve a simple crystal.
One of those people was a fellow inmate who shared a punishment similar to yours, which made it easier to bond over the shared misery. Their sarcastic way of lightening up every dark situation was a refreshing change of pace amid all the horrors and violence that usually surrounded your group.
"I would have worked harder on my bikini body if I knew I’d end up here," the fellow prisoner joked, gesturing to the basic diving suit Urbanshade had issued as minimal equipment. The ill-fitting suit clung awkwardly to his frame, adding a touch of absurdity to an otherwise grim situation.
"Ah yes, these diving suits definitely highlight all the right curves," you hummed back in amusement, trying to suppress a grin.
The lighthearted banter continued as you both navigated the dim, foreboding corridors. The small, wholesome moments of connection were a welcome reprieve from the relentless tension. It wasn’t much, but it was enough to keep the growing dread at bay, if only for a little while.
Eventually, you found yourselves standing before Sebastian's signature vent—a crude entrance that had become all too familiar. With a quick push, the piece of metal flew across the dark floor, clattering noisily. From the other side, Sebastian's disinterested voice echoed in the narrow passage.
"Welcome back, you... and you," he muttered, his tone flat as his ear fins twitched slightly, betraying his annoyance. His gaze flicked to the person next to you, clearly sizing them up. "Another day, another poor selection of team members, huh? Shame I don’t sell good ones either."
His joke, dripping with sarcasm, didn’t go unnoticed, but it didn’t have the desired effect either. You could see the faint lines of irritation on his face when he noticed your unimpressed expression. His usual wit seemed to fall flat in the current circumstances, and even he seemed to sense it.
"Really, Sebastian?" you asked, raising an eyebrow at him. Your new companion stifled a chuckle, but you could tell they were a bit wary of the sea-serpent’s mood.
Sebastian sighed, leaning back slightly as if trying to shake off the tension. "What can I say? The company down here isn’t exactly what I’d call inspiring," he retorted, though there was a hint of resignation in his voice. He glanced between you and your new friend, his irritation giving way to something softer, almost like concern and you didn't missed the way his tail moved, showing how bothered he actually is without speaking it out loud.
“Seriously, who thought it was a good idea to send us down here with nothing but these glorified wetsuits?” Your team mate joked trying to get the comfortable atmosphere from earlier back by continuing his joke, shaking his head in disbelief. “If I knew I’d be stuck in a metal box at the bottom of the ocean, I might’ve packed something a little more comfortable.”
You chuckled, trying to ease the palpable tension. “At least you’re making it work,” you said, playfully nudging him with your foot.
Sebastian’s ear fins twitched at the sound of your laughter, and own claw-like fingers digged themself uncomfortably into his own palm. Without a care, he spoke, his voice carrying a sharp edge. “Some of us don’t have the luxury of laughing at this situation.”
Your friend raised an eyebrow, clearly picking up on Sebastian’s mood. He pushed off the wall and took a step closer to you, a lighthearted smile still on his face. “Hey, we’re all just trying to make the best of it, right? No harm in keeping things a little less... bleak.”
Sebastian finally faced him directly, his eyes locking onto your friend with an intensity that made the room feel even smaller. “If you’re so focused on keeping things light, maybe you should find somewhere else to do it.”
The words were laced with a possessiveness that took both you and your friend by surprise. The room fell into a heavy silence as Sebastian’s gaze shifted to you, his expression unreadable. “Or is this how you’d rather spend your time?”
You swallowed hard, sensing the unspoken conflict. “Sebastian, we’re all stuck in this together. We don’t have to turn on each other.”
He let out a bitter laugh, shaking his head. “Stuck together, sure. But don’t pretend like this is just another day at the office. We’re not exactly a team, are we?”
Your friend cleared his throat awkwardly, realizing he was caught in the middle of something much deeper than he’d anticipated. “Look, maybe I should just... give you two some space,” he suggested, glancing between you and Sebastian.
Before you could respond, Sebastian stood up and slithered across the room, positioning himself between you and your friend, his tall frame blocking the view. “Yeah, maybe you should,” he said, his tone final, leaving no room for argument.
The air in the room was thick with tension as your friend hesitated, then gave a small nod. “Right. I’ll, uh, catch up with you later,” he mumbled before slipping out of the room by crawling back throug the vent behind him.
Once the two of you were alone, Sebastian didn’t move, standing with his back to you, his hands clenched into fists at his sides. You could feel the cold emanating from his body, but there was also something else—a vulnerability he rarely showed.
“Sebastian,” you started softly, reaching out to touch his arm. “What’s going on? Why are you acting like this?”
He didn’t pull away, but he didn’t turn around either. His voice was low when he finally spoke. “Because I’m tired of watching someone else take care of you when I’ve been the one keeping you alive all this time.”
His words hit you like a wave, and you suddenly understood the depth of his jealousy. It wasn’t just about the other guy—it was about everything you’d been through together, everything he’d done to protect you. He was scared of losing you, of not being enough and being replaced with someone you just met.
You stood up and stepped closer, wrapping your arms around his waist from behind, resting your head against his back. “I know, Sebastian. I know you’ve always been there for me. And I’m grateful for that. But you don’t have to do it alone.”
He sighed, his shoulders slumping as some of the tension drained from his body. Slowly, he turned in your arms, his cool hands resting on your shoulders as he looked down at you, his expression softening. “I just... I can’t lose you,” he admitted, his voice barely above a whisper.
You reached up, brushing a strand of hair from his face. “You’re not going to lose me. I’m right here.”
Sebastian’s gaze searched yours, and after a moment, he pulled you closer, wrapping his arms and tail around you in a protective embrace. The coldness of his body was no longer unsettling; instead, it was a familiar comfort.
For a while, you just stood there, holding each other in the quiet of the room, the earlier tension dissolving into a peaceful silence. Finally, Sebastian pulled back slightly, resting his forehead against yours. “I’m sorry,” he murmured, his breath cool against your skin. “I didn’t mean to get so... possessive.”
You smiled gently, your hands resting on his chest. “It’s okay. Just... remember that we’re in this together. Both of us.“
Sebastian nodded, a small smile tugging at the corner of his lips. "Thank you, Sweetheart."

Diary Entry: July 8th
You’d better be glad I’m patient, or else you’d have another dead neighbor.
When I heard the *wwoop* of your phone sending out a text on my computer I didn’t check it immediately. Until I heard four *pings* in quick succession.
‘Lukey, call me.’
‘Why?’
‘I’m in class.’
‘10 mins’
‘Or emergency?’
Remember how I said I like Luke? I like him a little bit less. Who texts like that… just write a sentence like a normal person. One sentence.
‘emergency!!’
Emergency? The panic that flooded my veins was icy-hot as I frantically pulled up a the live feed of your home and blasted the volume.
Nothing.
You were just sitting on the couch snacking on those Extra Toasty Cheezits that you love so much. (Cheezits was a marketing genius for that though, profiting off burnt ones because little weirdos like you lived for that one random burnt piece at the bottom of the bag. Goofy girl.)
That doesn’t seem very ‘emergency!!’ to me. Unless you’ve run out of Cheezits, but you haven’t. I would know.
I chewed my nails, paced the floor, and wrung out my hands. I couldn’t just walk over there and say ‘Hey! Just wanted to make sure you’re okay cause I cloned your phone and saw a concerning text! How can I help?’.
You seemed fine, you weren’t crying, you didn’t look upset. You just started scrolling through Instagram reels and rapid-fire sending them to your sister as if she’d actually watch them all. We all know she won’t, but if you ask she’ll say she did.
‘step out. emergency!!’
‘no, give me 4. it can wait.’
Jesus Luke, are you trying to make me dislike you? I can’t believe you’d make her wait like that. The girl said it’s an emergency. That means pick up the fucking phone, dial her fucking number and say ‘I’m on my way, what’s going on?’
Drop everything and fucking run. I’d jump from a moving train if I got that text from you. Train station who? I have two legs and I can run pretty fast as long as I have the right motivation.
Pass a kid on a bike? ‘Scuse me I’m commandeering this vehicle.’ I’d be the fucking flash with pink tassels and purple glow wheels.
‘Now!!’
The suspense was literally killing me. I was withering away with worry.
‘if it’s the guy again I swear to god.’
Guy? What guy? What had I missed? There was a guy in your life that wasn’t me?
‘just fucking call me.’
Yeah, you heard the girl. Fucking call her already.
“No he did not.” Luke scoffed, as if what you’d told him was the most ridiculous thing he’d heard in ages.
“I swear. I swear he did!” You giggled folding over on the couch.
“There’s no way a straight man did that for you and didn’t try to fuck.” Luke laughed. “I don’t believe you. You’re delusional.”
“I am not!” You defended, not actually hurt by his comment but wanting to prove him wrong anyway.
“I literally don’t believe you.” He let out a snort and whispered something to Han on the other end of the line. “Han said he’s still set on Ben for you.”
“I told you I am not interested. There’s a reason I never texted him!” You retorted.
“Yeah because you lost his number you pea-brain.” He teased.
“No.” You said with a slightly haughty tone. “I happen to believe it was just the universe telling me it wasn’t meant to be.”
“That’s a really good justification for loosing his number.” Han’s voice came through the speaker slightly muffled from his distance.
“Shut up both of you. You’re horrible.” You laughed. “I’m sticking to it. The universe said no and I’m no match for the powers that be, m’kay?”
“Sure babes.” Luke said, you could almost hear his stupid little smirk.
“Anyway. Yes, look I’ll send you a picture of the book okay?” You hopped up quickly and snapped a picture to send to Luke’s phone. “Cause I can’t exactly send you a picture of him helping me with my groceries.”
“Mmhmm I know because it didn’t happen.” Luke said flatly. “Hard to get a picture of a hallucination.”
You rolled your eyes and huffed, Luke was just being protective. It’s not like he was wrong, most men wouldn’t do something like that out of the kindness of their heart.
“This would be so much easier if you had an iPhone. You might be hideous but I still miss your face.” You teased, hearing Han’s booming laugh in the background.
“Whatever.” Luke grumbled, “okay, so what am I looking at here?”
“See it’s this collection of paper that has typed out wo-“
“Smartass. I mean: what’s so… cool? about it?” He interrupted.
“It’s a special edition. $50. He just gave me a special edition book without a second thought.” You said excitedly. “Remember I lost my copy not too long ago?”
“Mmm yeah I think I remember.” He said noncommittally. “You should really keep up with your shit.”
“Hey I’m doing better!” You retorted. “My life is so put together right now. You’d be amazed.”
“Delusional Han I’m telling you.” He snickered quietly.
“Oh my god! Have you no faith in me at all?” You scoffed. “I haven’t forgotten to charge my phone or take my medicine. I’ve kept everything tidy. All my important stuff stays in my bag.”
“You’ve been possessed.” Luke gasped.
“Fuck. If I have then I’ve got the sweetest demon the 7th circle could provide.” You joked. “I’ve even been sleeping better, I think maybe even boogie is happier too. She’s started sitting at the living room window to watch the pigeons again.”
“Aw, my niece.” He crooned. “My *favorite* niece.”
“What about leia’s new-“
“I said what I said.” Luke interrupted.
Diary Entry: July 8th
The way you gushed about me on the phone was everything I could’ve asked for and more. I’ve never been so fucking proud of myself. I feel like I could… I don’t know lift a fucking car or something. I feel good. This is a good feeling, to be appreciated like this.
I want you to know how happy you’ve made me today.
To hear your voice, see your face, watch your body language as you spoke about how we met and our little chat today. I could live off purely that for days. Your giggle is nourishment for my soul, your voice is honey to drink with my tea, your beauty is the sugar in the much-to-big spoon I’d use to stir it with.
That’s what life with you would be like. Tea time. It’s soft, I always think of tea time as being soft; a big blanket of comfort and security. I just feel like it’s the perfect metaphor.
You are the ingredients. The tea leaves, honey, sugar, and water.
I am the the cup and life, fate, whatever it may be, is the spoon.
Can you use all of those things separately? Sure. But would it make much sense to pour hot water on a pile of dry leaves, drizzle some honey and sprinkle sugar into a goopy puddle right on the kitchen counter?
Would it be enjoyable to drink air from a small cup and leave the spoon lonely and unused?
No.
You need me to hold you; you are so many things. All of them are perfect and all of them are uniquely you. But when joined together in a secure little cup you’ll have the opportunity to mesh those things into something new.
A cup is just a cup if there’s nothing in it. Cold and empty ceramic. Sturdy and reliable although delicate when handled irresponsibly.
Fill me with you. All of you.
You’ve already started that you know? Each tea leaf is a tidbit of you.
Your likes and dislikes. Your happiest memories and even your sad ones, your angry moments, your bad days. I love and cherish even the deepest caverns and widest chasms in your beautiful mind. Without them, you wouldn’t be you.
Please believe me when I say that even if the leaves are crumpled or incomplete… it doesn’t mean that they won’t make tea.
Honey, my favorite. Your personality. God you’re so fucking sweet it hurts. Your voice, those lovely lips that speak such well written poetry.
My love, everything you say is a hymn.
I wasn’t a religious man before you. My Goddess, I fall to my knees at the altar for you. Speak to me and you’ll sing to my very soul. Tell me truth, tell me lies, tell me those things that float through the nether. I’ll take it all as gospel.
Ask of me anything and I will spill blood, even if it is my own, to provide you with whatever you wish.
I never understood why honey was akin to the nectar of the gods until I met you.
Now I understand. To taste you is to taste life. To smell you is to breathe freely. To feel you is to be soothed.
Sugar. Do you know how many grains of sugar are in the average tablespoon? Around 60,000. The human eye processes visuals at the average rate of 13 milliseconds per image. Even faster if presented with an image that invokes emotion. Though for the purposes of math, we will go with 13 milliseconds.
13 milliseconds is about 75 frames per second. 60 seconds in one minute. 4,500 frames.
If the average tablespoon holds 60,000 grains of sugar that’s 270,000,000 frames per second.
4,500,000 minutes. 75,000 hours. 3,125 days. About 102 months. Alittle over 8 years.
I use 3 tablespoons of sugar per cup of tea.
That means by our 25 anniversary I will have been graced with every grain of your beauty.
By then I’ll probably need a few more spoonfuls if I plan to survive raising children with you. If they’re as hyperactive as you get sometimes I’ll fucking need it.
Oh well. Just more time for me to bask in your beauty.
All these things have filled me, your cup. All that I need now is water. Your love.
The kind of love that burns so hot that it bubbles up beneath your skin and makes you itch if you’re apart for too long.
That’s what happens when water boils, the atoms separate and bounce around until they come back together as the water cools.
Just like us.
I’m the flame that’s heating your water, the closer I get the hotter it’ll grow until it’s rattling the kettle, screaming to be let out and bring all the pieces together.
Adding that boiling water, your love. It will bring life to me. You’ll warm the cold ceramic shell that I’ve been for so long. Fragile and lonely and horribly handled. I might have a few chips but the foundation is strong and worthy.
A cup is just a cup if there’s nothing in it.
You give me purpose. You make me useful.
I will let our love steep. Let it steep, because you can’t make tea without all the ingredients and a water-worthy cup.
We will stir it and stir it and stir it until the the hand of fate declares us ready, I will be there for you at the *clink* of the spoon against my rim.
I will be there after to hold you until the very last sip.
I will be there until I am broken beyond repair.
If the last sip happens before my ceramic cracks… I will be quick to join you after slipping through the hands of fate.
It’s a long winded way to say that I love you, but if you wanted, I would memorize it and recite it for you every night before drift to sleep.
Diary Entry: July 12th
You’re so cute.
I don’t know how you haven’t noticed that your laundry detergent should’ve run out ages ago. I giggle like a school girl everytime I see you at the laundromat holding it up to measure it out.
I’ve started washing my stuff in the same as you, I love the way your laundry smells.
But I love the way you smell even more.
You just bought some new sheets recently and I took the liberty of ordering the same ones. What luck that we both use a queen size bed huh? The cutesy little strawberry print isn’t exactly my style but I don’t give a shit. The giddy way you opened up your package was nothing short of adorable.
You know what else is super handy about using the same detergent?
You won’t notice when I switch them out.
You’re washing them for the first time today since you just received them in the mail yesterday. I know you’re so excited to put them on and make your pretty pink bed up, I’m amazed you had the patience to wait until today to go to the laundromat. It’s open 24/7, proud of you baby. Prioritizing that good deep sleep you’ve been getting.
You’re welcome, and thank you.
Watching you sleep from the end of the bed is one of my favorite things. It just… I don’t know it makes me feel comforted to be there. It’s the closest thing to sleeping next to you that I can get right now. Then I’ll be getting some good deep sleep.
It’s hard for me to rest if I can’t reach out and make sure you’re safe.
The audio from your room is wonderful ASMR though. Your snores and snuffles and the rustling of blankets while you sprawl out and occupy as much space as your body can manage; it’s soothing to me.
Partially because I know you’re okay, partially because I was able to give you that deep rest.
You wash your sheets once a week because you love the feeling of fresh warm linens. It’s the simple pleasures of life that bring you the most joy. That’s something I adore about you.
So here’s the plan. I’m a man of my word and I promised you a reward for all your hard work didn’t I? I’m also a man who enjoys the killing of two birds with one stone.
Life goes so much more smoothly if you take the time to line up the shot.
That’s why I immediately ordered my own set as soon as I checked your Amazon account. Mine arrived today too and I’ll be stopping by the laundromat just as you’re leaving. I’ve left them in the box and put it at the bottom of my basket though, I don’t want to ruin the surprise you know?
I’m so glad I was able to hear your little chat with your friends. Not only was it a wonderful reassurance, it also allowed me to plan our encounters more closely together. I’ve made myself known to you, I’ve spaced out our previous meetings well enough to leave you wishing you’d catch me out in the hallway even for a quick hello.
Trust me I have been dying to indulge you. But if this whole relationship has taught me anything it’s: trust the process.
See you soon princess, my timer just went off. I’ll be there just in time to watch you nuzzle your face into the last warm item of clothing from the dryer before tossing it in the basket.
Date:
July 12th
You were tossing the last of your clean laundry into the basket when the bell above the door jingled. Purely out of habit you glanced over, instead of the usual stranger or semi-familiar face, it was Anakin.
He seemed not to notice you straight away, keeping his head down and walking to the washer/dryer set closest to the front window.
It was shameful the way you took this opportunity to stare and soak him up. His whole physique just screamed at the primal parts of your brain. The parts that want you to sprint across the laundromat and l seduce him into ravaging you right up against the glass he stood near. Who cares who sees? You’d be beyond proud to be spotted in the throes of passion as long as it was him who was behind you.
The way his arms moved should be illegal. How is it possible for someone to be so… lean? The veins that and corded tendons that roll beneath his skin become even more visible as his wrist gives way to his hands.
Wide palms that would be perfect for grabbing a handful of your ass. Gripping your hips to guide you down onto what you can only assume is an equally impressive cock.
Long fingers as the most elegantly carved necklace. Fingertips that could trace swirling patterns across the vast expanse of your skin. Those same fingertips caressing the slick and swollen folds that just so happened to be in desperate need of his attention.
How could you not be a puddle of a person when he locks eyes with you like that? Like he’s reading the transcript of your soul, his eyes never stayed in one place too long. He needed to take in as much of you as possible each and everytime he was in your company.
How could you not forget how to speak when he walks over to you with such confidence? His towering frame would be intimidating if he didn’t radiate comfort. He seemed like he knew he had that affect on you, or maybe he was just one of those clueless types. That special kind of man who doesn’t realize what a catch they are.
“What’s up sweet girl?” He asked with that same gritty tone that had you feigning for him in ways he’d find unholy.
“Hey Anakin.” You managed to tone down the smile that instantly spread across your face. “I was just about to leave…”
“Well isn’t that a shame.” He chuckled, his eyes darting from your lips to your eyes and back again before he looked up and away. Stretching his arm up behind his head to rub his neck.
“Hmm yeah it is.” You murmured, too distracted by the tiny sliver of skin and dark hair the peaked out from beneath the hem of his shirt.
“Eyes up baby.” He teased, his finger tapping the underside of your chin before you could even register his hand was coming toward you.
‘Jesus Christ.’
If he can make your knees this weak from a few words… it’s almost concerning to think of the state you’d be in after he rearranges your guts.
The blush on your cheeks could’ve been mistaken for a sunburn, never had you felt so fucking embarrassed and flustered at the same time. You couldn’t even be mad.
“Let me help, yeah?” He said, choosing to glaze over your blatant staring and not push it farther with the teasing comments.
Truly a gentleman.
“Oh! Yeah, yeah.” You nodded. “Thanks.”
You managed a soft smile as your brain attempted to rewire itself into working condition again. He closed the dryer and placed your detergent and fabric softener beads into your basket and carried them over to his washer/dryer combo, expecting you to follow.
He sat it down near one of the many metal folding chairs lining the wall and turned to you again, his expression one of concern? Worry? Apprehension?
“You okay sweetheart?” He asked gently. “Did I make you uncomfortable?”
“What?” You asked, eyebrows furrowing. “Uncomfortable? No, no.” You shook your head in realization that he must’ve assumed he’d struck a nerve with his flirtatious comment.
“You sure?” He asked.
Somehow his hands, those strong hands that you just knew would feel like heaven on your skin, had made their way to your biceps. Slowly traveling the length of your forearm to hold both of your hands in his, your fingers curved over his while his thumb rubbed your knuckles.
“Yeah, I’m sure.” You nodded, shooting him a bashful smile.
His eyes searched your face like he was scanning for even the most minuscule change in expression, any twitch of your lip or shift in your line of sight that might say otherwise. When he was sure you were being truthful he spoke again.
“Alright princess,” he conceded with a warm tone. “you sticking around or headed out?”
“I’d stay to chat for a bit if I could, but I’ve gotta clock-in, in about… 45mins.” You said, thankful for the change in subject.
Anakin never failed to both confuse and amaze you. Every fucking time you spoke to him. You were tired of telling yourself he was just too damn good to be true, fuck it, he is that good.
In all your years, you’d never had a man check-in with you like that and in such a caring and considerate way… you couldn’t have dreamed up a man like this. It was a small detail of his character, but it made a world of a difference.
If you would’ve said ‘yes, that made me uncomfortable.’ you had no doubt in your mind that he would apologize and mean it. He’d mean it, apologize with his whole chest and make sure that it never ever happened again.
That was the kind of comfort and security that only a fictional love could provide.
But here he is.
In the flesh.
Maybe hearing about this, Luke might change his mind. Luke was only doing his job as your best friend and protector, shielding you from the dangers of the average Brad that you’d dated in the past. But…
Anakin’s not that kinda guy.
“You know, I don’t think you’ve ever told me where you work.” Anakin pointed out.
“Huh, I guess I haven’t.” You realized. “Bluebird Diner. It’s a good place to eat, yummy pie.”
“Oh yeah I’ve been there before!” Anakin said happily, “that butterscotch pie is so good, oh my god.”
“Right?” You agreed excitedly. “That’s my favorite. I’ll have to tell Rosa that she’s getting compliments on it. She’ll be thrilled.”
“Maybe I’ll grab a slice later.” Anakin suggested. “Before I have to go clock-in.”
“Where do you work?” You asked, finding it a bit comical that you were drooling over him but didn’t even know this basic detail of his life.
“The Cerulean.” Anakin nodded toward the window. “Just a couple blocks from here.”
“The Cerulean? What do you do, bartend?” You asked, curious as alittle itch in the back of your mind needed to be scratched.
“Mhm, I do.” He smiled.
“I think… oh my god. I think I’ve seen you there before!” You laughed. “It was a while back but I was there with some friends… you made my drink!”
“Really?” Anakin laughed. “Shit don’t make me feel bad baby, I don’t remember that.”
“I didn’t expect you too.” You giggled. “The place was packed. I can’t imagine how many people you serve a night.”
“You’ve got no idea.” He blew out a puff of air, with a chuckle.
“Well I’m due for a night out soon,” you said with a grin. “You come grab some pie later and I’ll come get a drink from you tomorrow night.”
“Sounds like a deal princess.” He beamed.

Better. (Keegan Russ x Reader.)
!CW! NSFW, Smut, Keegan being a simp, readers boyfriend is a scumbag, Virgin!reader, virginity loss, (sorry if I missed any.)
This my FIRST EVER SOLO KEEGAN FIC so be gentle with feedback please :(
*Not edited well*
It took one laugh.
You joined the base that Keegan happened to be on, and he made a dumb joke to another sergeant and you laughed at it.
It took one little under the breath giggle from you, and it was all over for him.
You had only overheard by chance, he wasn’t meant to hear your laugh. But he did, and boy is he glad he did because he adored you. Obviously from afar because he didn’t want to creep you out. He thought you were stunning and pretty. You were so sweet to everyone, the few times you had to interact with him, you were so sweet.
You were stationed nearby, living near the base which is what was going on with Keegan too. The both of you lived in the same small town.
He decided to zero in on you pretty quickly, making friends with you. But than, you met your boyfriend.
Keegan was sick when you first started dating him. Absolutely sore by the fact that he was your friend and you ended up in someone else’s arms. He got teased on base constantly for his massive crush on you. He made it so obvious of course that everyone but you seemed to notice. He still made efforts to hang out with you. As bad as it was, Keegan tried to get you away from your boyfriend. He could be better to you than your boyfriend ever could. Anytime you vented about something your boyfriend had done, Keegan always implied that maybe there was an ulterior motive. Maybe he was doing this or that, and what an asshole for that. He always played the part.
“Dude, quit staring. She’s got a boyfriend.” He’s getting nudged, earning a roll of his eyes. “Fuck off. Her boyfriend doesn’t even know what to do with her.” He scoffs. The other Sergeant looks at him with wide eyes. “And you’re saying you could do better?”
“Tenfolds. I’d worship the fucking ground she walks on if she’d let me.” He sighs. “You’re pussy whipped by a girl you’re not even with.” Keegan shoves passed the younger sergeant. “Don’t care.” He mumbles as he walks away. “Hey!” He calls to Keegan. “Heard she’s a virgin. Better get her on lock before that scumbag fucks her and dumps her.” Keegan feels his body go rigid, ignoring his words. Keegan needed to act fast. For your sake. He didn’t like to hear that you were a virgin.
That’s probably why that scumbag was sticking around in the first place.
Keegan made his way up the watch tower a little early, he usually did this so he had a chance to talk to you before you traded watch shifts.
He opens up the door, sitting down. “Hey Keegan.” You smile. He’s sick the moment he sees it. The fact that he can’t tug you into him, kiss you. Hug you. Hold you. It’s messed up. He’s never felt this way about anybody. “Hi.” He nods. His words are a little muffled by his mask but it’s not too bad. You always seem to hear him. “What are you doing this weekend?” He asks. “Oh, me and Jacob were going to go watch a movie.” You smile. He nods. “Why?” You ask. “Oh, I was just going to invite you out. I was going to the bar this weekend, thought I’d let you know.” He shrugs. “If anything changes just let me know.” He smiles. You can’t see it of course. Keegan just needs your stupid boyfriend to fuck up. Just once. You nod your head, giving him a smile. You made your way down the stairs.
Keegan felt stupid sometimes. He wanted you so badly that he let most of his morals go down the drain. If you were his and someone was doing this to you on the sidelines, he’d be furious. He thinks of himself as a horrible person for how possessive he was over you, a girl who wasn’t even his. For the remainder of his time on watch, he thought about distancing himself from you. Walking away and not looking back. But he knows, he won’t be able to.
It was Saturday and Keegan was dressed as usual, but he’d sprayed a little bit of cologne on, maybe he’d meet a girl. Maybe he’d take her home. Or maybe he’d drink too much and wake up somewhere random like he’d done. Too drunk to think straight, sleeping on a bench or in his car in the parking lot. He doesn’t know what the night holds. His feet pat against the concrete walkway of his house, going out to his truck. He doesn’t expect his phone to ring, and he doesn’t expect it to be you.
“Hello?” Keegan asks into the phone. “Uh.. hey Keegan.” He can hear you sniffle. “Hey, what’s wrong?” He stops right in his tracks. “I uh.. everything is okay and I hope I’m not interrupting you. But.. can you come get me?” You ask. “Of course, where are you?”
“I’m in the parking lot of the theater.” You mumble. “I’m on my way.”
Keegan speeds like a bat out of hell to get to you, he doesn’t know what happened but he knows you’re unwell. And that’s enough for him to need to get to you. It feels like it takes him hours to get there but is only a few minutes and he’s pulling up. He parks, tires coming to a hard stop as he brakes. He throws the truck in park before jumping out and making his way to you. “Hey, what happened? What’s going on?” He asks. “It’s nothing, can we just go?” You mumble, you keep looking over your shoulder. When Jacob comes walking up to you, Keegan pushes you behind him. An action that doesn’t go unnoticed by you. “You called him? Are you fucking kidding me?” You lean into Keegan. “What’s your problem?” Keegan mumbles. “Oh, you haven’t told him yet?” He laughs. “I was just telling Y/N here that she’s a bitch for leading me on.” Keegan can feel his blood boiling, fists clenching together. “She’s led me on for the three months we’ve been together. Always dresses so slutty and always denies me.” He shakes his head. “I mean look at her, you can practically see her ass in that dress. You get it right?”
Keegan is completely taken off guard by the entitlement he’s hearing. “Uh.. no. No I don’t get it.” He shakes his head. “If you were really looking for a girl that would sleep with you, you were barking up the wrong tree in the first place.” He crosses his arms, trying to make himself look bigger to Keegan. “Y/N doesn’t owe you anything, she can dress any way she likes. And the Y/N I know, would knock you on your ass for saying that. She’s showed you parts of herself that nobody has ever seen. But you’re just a dumb motherfucker who fumbled a hell of a girl.” He laughs. Jacob scoffs, turning his head away. “Whatever. She’s just a dumb fucking prude anyways. I knew you’d get in the way. Anybody could see your crush on her from a mile away. And she always comes running doesn’t she?” He shakes his head. Keegan shakes his head. “Come on Y/N.” Keegan places his arm around your lower back. Leading you to his truck. You have your arms crossed and you look furious.
“So.. you want to tell me what’s going on?” He asks. “We were watching a movie. He kept putting his hand on my thigh and I kept pushing it away. He got too forceful and I shoved him back. So he stood up and made a scene in front of the entire theater.” You cover your face. Keegan laughs. “What a scumbag.” He rolls his eyes. “Is what he said true Keegan?” You look up at him. And he looks away from your gaze. “Y/N.. you don’t need all of my bullshit too okay?”
“That’s not what I asked you, Keegan. Answer me.”
He sighs. Keeping quiet. “So what if it is? It doesn’t have to change anything.” He breathes. “Keegan, it changes everything.”
This is exactly why Keegan kept it to himself. “Well.. so what.” He sighs. He starts his truck, throwing it into drive and pulling out of the parking lot.
The drive to his house is quiet aside from Metallica playing faintly in the background. Usually you would poke fun at him. But the silence seems louder. He ruined your friendship, all because of a stupid crush. He pulls into his driveway, ready to hear you yell at him, ask why he’s brought you here. But he’s shocked when it doesn’t happen. “Why didn’t you tell me?”
“Because of this, because I didn’t want to risk anything. Plus, you have a boyfriend.” You shake your head. “That doesn’t matter Keegan.”
“Yes it does Y/N. If you were mine and some guy was doing that shit, I’d be furious.”
“I wouldn’t do it to you.” You mumble.
“But you’d do it for me? Because I’m a coworker?”
“No because you’re my friend Keegan.” You roll your eyes. “You should have said something.” You turn toward his window. “You have a boyfriend!” He throws his hands up. “In case you haven’t noticed I did everything I could to respect that despite how fucking bad I wanted to be him. I don’t see what you saw in that fucking scumbag either.” He breathes. You turn toward him. “It was to fill time, asshole. And stop calling him my boyfriend. I do more stuff with you than I do with him!”
“Oh, I’m the asshole. I come to the rescue anytime you need anything and somehow I’m still the asshole.”
“Fuck you Keegan, I won’t ask you for another fucking thing.” You growl. Reaching for the door handle. “No!” He grasps your hand, pulling you back. “You don’t get to storm away when you’re mad.” You narrow your eyes at him. “Seriously, where was this fight when that asshole was talking to you like that hm? I know you, I know you held back.”
“Because it’s not worth it. Who gives a fuck what he thinks about me.”
He shakes his head. “You’re ridiculous.” You shake your head. “You.. all of that shit you said about.. leaving him. All of those times you came to help and tried to talk me away from him. It’s not because you wanted to help.” You laugh, shaking your head. “It’s because you liked me.” Keegan rolls his eyes. “So fucking what.” He turns to you, leaning into you. “Even if I didn’t have a crush on you, I’d still come running. And you’d still call because you’re you, and you can’t fight your own battles.”
“Fuck you.” You growl. “I don’t want to hear anything from you, you’re disgusting.”
Keegan shakes his head. “Yeah? If I’m so disgusting than get out of my truck. Go on.” He nods.
You don’t move.
“Go ahead.”
Nothing again. “Still here.” He let’s his hands fall onto his thighs. “See, to me? It seems like you like it. You like that I’m disgusting. Don’t y-“ he jumps back as you smash your lips against his. Sitting up on the seat of his truck. He kisses you back even harder, pulling you over the center console and into his lap. He pushes down on the lever of his seat, sliding it back. The metal thumping as he thrusts it back has you moaning into his mouth. He pulls you tightly into him, teeth knocking into each other as he kisses you. He has a tight grip around your waist.
You grind your hips down into him and he pulls away, moaning out. He rests his hands on your hips, stopping you. “Hey- wait.” He breathes. “I like you but I’m not going to take advantage of you.” He breathes. “Shut up Keegan.” You groan. “Just because I’m a virgin doesn’t mean I don’t know what I’m doing.” You grind your hips into his again and he looks like he’s in pain when you do it. “Fuck-“ he breathes. You roll your hips into him again and he bucks his hips up slightly. “Ah-“ he whines. He closes his eyes tightly. “Fuck- you have to s-stop.” He grits his teeth. A couple more times of you rolling your hips into him and his body is jerking, he’s trying to halt your hips. But you grasp his hands, holding them against your thighs as you keep going. “Y/N- I’m serious, please-“
His chest heaves up and down violently, and a cry leaves his lips. He bucks his hips up into you, more and more cries leaving his lips as he finishes into his jeans, crying out for you pathetically and grinding his hips into yours for any bit of friction he can get.
When you stop moving your hips into him, he won’t look at you. You can feel his cum soaking through your panties.
He’s clearly embarrassed.
But he has no idea how turned on you are. “Look at me.” You breathe. His cheeks are burning, and he knows he can’t look at you. He just can’t. “Keegan, look at me.” When he looks up at you, he’s got tears in his eyes. “What’s wrong?” You ask. He looks away but you grasp his chin, forcing him to look at you. “I’m just embarrassed okay? Just..” he sighs. “I’ll take you home now.”
He sighs. You can already feel him hardening beneath you again. You sitting in his lap is too much. “No.” You breathe.
“Keegan, I want to have sex with you.” You breathe. “Y/N..” he sighs. “You’re just.. you’re hot and bothered, you don’t mean it.” He breathes. You grasp him by the collar of his shirt. “Please Keegan. If you don’t want me that’s fine but I want you.” You pant. You know for a fact you’ve never been more sure of anything in your life. “I do want you. But I would never take advantage of you.” He breathes. “Keegan. I’m a full grown woman.” You laugh. “I know what I want and what I want is you.”
You reach between the both of you, unbuttoning his jeans and he helps you prepare for what’s about to happen, and he can’t believe it.
That motherfucker pushed you right into his arms, just like he’d planned.
Keegan is still wet from his orgasm that he had just had, embarrassed because neither of you have a condom. You just have to risk it.
His filth would be good Lube anyways.
You raise yourself up and line him up with your entrance, the tip of his cock presses through your folds, sinking deep into you pussy. Your panties pulled to the side to give him full access to you. A breath hitches in your throat as he starts to stretch you, and you take in a deep breath. “Hey. Look at me.” He grasps your chin. “Relax. Keep going up and down on what you can take of me, get that pussy nice n wet for me.” He breathes, his sudden change of demeanor catches you off guard. This is Keegan, pure horny, needy, Keegan. “Yeah, like that.” He breathes. You raise your hips up and down, keeping a steady pace, letting your body adjust to him.
When you rest yourself onto him completely, completely full of Keegan’s girthy length, you realize what you’ve just done.
You’d given him your virginity.
It was no surprise really, it was bound to happen from the start. You had always had a massive crush on Keegan before you’d met Jacob, and always ran to Keegan because he was your friend. You didn’t know he liked you back, in fact. You knew you were in the friend zone. You’d liked him from the day you’d met him, but you’d take that to your grave.
The cry that leaves your lips when he bottoms out in you for the first time is pure bliss. You’re here finally, touching him. His cock is nestled up inside of you perfectly. A perfect fit. As you rock your hips into him, he’s falling apart. He can barely keep it together, nearing his second orgasm already. He already feels embarrassed and pathetic, it’s only going to get worse when he finishes early for a second time.
“Ah, you gotta slow down sweetheart.” He breathes. “I.. you’re making a fucking mess out of me, I just can’t help it.” He chuckles. “It’s okay, I want it.” You breathe. He hisses, tilting his head back. He shakes his head. “No, Cmon baby. Let’s work an orgasm out of this sweet pussy yeah?” He smirks, grasping hold of your hips. He thrusts up into you, smiling at the way your eyes widen. His lower stomach is swirling with want, pleasure seeping into every last cell inside of him. He’s never felt this good, ever. He holds back for as long as he can as he fucks himself into you, keeping a steady pace and working himself into you. You’re dripping down his shaft, soaking him. He can’t believe he’s doing this with you.
You whine out, clutching onto his seat, thank god for leather seats because this was going to be quite the mess to clean up later. A mewl leaves your lips and you clutch his shirt. “Oh Keegan, I’m gonna cum.” You whine. Clutching his shirt. He relaxes a bit and you grasp two handfuls of his shirt, rocking your hips into him. “Yeah I’m gonna cum too baby.” He relaxes completely, letting you finish him off. You’re grinding your hips into him like you were before but this time, he’s buried deep inside of you. You’re practically sobbing when you finally cum, crying out along with him as you feel his warmth filling you up. You’re gripping onto him so hard and he’s convulsing as you draw another orgasm out of him. He’s shaking when he’s come down from his high, in complete disbelief of what’s just happened. He’s so sensitive from the second orgasm you’d just given him. You take in a deep breath. Relaxing your hands and laying your head on his chest. He pulls you into him, panting hard. Still coming down from his orgasm. His heart is finally settling in his chest.
“I’m sorry tonight went so bad.” He breathes. “Tonight went perfect, I don’t know what you’re talking about.” You blush.
“Oh yeah.. if you tell anyone what you did to me, I’m taking us both out.” He narrows his eyes. “I wouldn’t do that to you Keegan. Besides… I thought it was kind’ve hot.” You smile. He shakes his head. “Cmon, we can go clean up. You can stay over if you want.” He asks nervously.
“I’d love that.”

not your pet, anymore
scaramouche x reader
warnings: angst, arguments, insults, suggestive mentions
“you love me, right?”
“of course i do, scara. you mean so much to me.” you whispered, fingers running through his hair as he leaned against you. his thick eyelashes fluttered shut, hand on his chest as he lay against you.
the biting cold of fall couldn’t compare to the warmth you two shared, huddled together like this. his cheeks still tinted pink from the cold air, hands cold to the touch, it was just the way you liked him to be. cold enough for him to want to sit close to you and warm up.
touches were not a regular occurrence for scaramouche, he was normally dismissive, claiming he hated the closeness of skin on skin contact. but that wasn’t said when he’d tug at the end of your sweater, asking if he could feel more of your warmth. soft pants escaping your lips, his cold hands wandering, bodies on the cold floor of his bedroom. that’s how you’d spend your days after school.
but this time, with your hair sticking to your sweaty forehead as you finished up some of scaramouche’s homework he had passed on to you, something felt different. he was glued to his phone, an unusual smile gracing his lips as his thumbs danced across the device. you frowned, putting down your pen as you watched his face pull up in expressions you had rarely seen.
“who’re you talking to scara?”
“none of your business, (y/n).” he snapped, the smile he had been wearing for a few minutes dropping as his head snapped up to look at you. he sighed dramatically, getting up from the floor as he placed his phone down next to your hand, his face inches away from you.
“so damn nosy (y/n), when you should be doing my essay. are you bored? should i give you more work? or maybe i should let you suck me off, put your mouth to use. i think i like you better when you’re stuffing me in than anything you’ve ever said, anyway.” he sneered, enjoying the silence from you. a slight movement from you caused annoyance to bubbled up inside of him, his face unable to hide that itching feeling.
“you know, if you weren’t like this i’d be nicer to you, hell, maybe i’d love you. fat chance of that happening, i hate you most of the time. the only time i like your mouth open is when you’re making those pretty sounds for me, anything else is just muck.
why’re you so quiet, huh? are you gonna run off to your friends again? tell them how horrible i am? you think someone like collei will bother with you after you tell her what you do in here with me? how you open yourself to me? after swearing to her you’re done with me? you’re fucking something, (y/n). honestly, i’m getting sick of you. can you get the fuck out now?”
scaramouche’s phone buzzes, screen lighting up with a new text message. the both of you glance to it at the same time before he snatches it up, typing away a response as you gather your things without a word. biting your tongue was easier said then done, but you knew the argument would be worse if you said anything to him at all.
with a gentle click of scaramouche’s door, hours had gone by since you made your way home. a warm shower to rid of the nagging feeling at the pit of your stomach, along with the stickiness scaramouche had left you. you weren’t enjoying this, not one bit.
you figured you’d talk to him tomorrow in class, apologize for your inconveniences to him, and have it return to how it usually was after a fight. if you could call it one.
what you didn’t expect was to see scaramouche sitting by the green haired girl, haypasia, his usual seat empty as they sat side by side. quietly setting your things down, you still thought to say good morning to him, as a sign of peace.
standing from your seat, you meekly stood in front of him, hands wringing in front of you nervously. “good morning scara, and haypasia, i was wondering if—“
scaramouche never looked at you the whole time you were standing in front of him, his eyes glued on haypasia as her eyes bore into yours. a bitter smirk on haypasia’s face as she waved you off, scaramouche rolling his eyes before continuing whatever conversation they were having before you interrupted him.
a pain started to form in your chest. that nauseating prick that you’d feel every time you knew scaramouche was fooling around with other girls. cold sweat was all you felt as class droned on, your eyes never leaving the back of scaramouche’s head as his hand would slip underneath haypasia’s desk, sliding her pieces of paper that she would giggle at or turn red to after reading.
why is he being like this? should you have said something yesterday? would the satisfaction of knowing he practically owned you satisfy him enough to not be like this? these thoughts ran through your head until it was time for lunch, that bell being something of a savior as you were freed from seeing him there with her.
childe’s loud laughs caught your attention as he stood with kazuha, an anxious look on the white haired boys face as his eyes locked with yours for a moment. “i mean, just look at her! everyone knows scara is just using her. i heard, he’s been sleeping with (y/n) so he’s good enough to do it with that other girl, whatever her name is. you know her, right kazuha? whatdya think? did you get a piece of her yet too? or is it just scara sinking his claws in her, and something else!”
kazuha’s nervous laugh as childe punched his arm spoke volumes as you stood up, clutching the strap of your bag. kazuha noticed the tears in your eyes as you ran out of the classroom, you had heard every word that came out of childe’s mouth. excusing himself, he ran after you, his soft taps of his feet on the floor in comparison to your loud, cluttered footsteps.
scaramouche heard about this from childe, his demeanor changing once childe gave him the details on how kazuha ran after you. he didn’t know why it bothered him, but it did. no one else should be acknowledging his pet, the one that was so compliant and listened to everything he asked of you.
that’s how he saw you, and that’s all you were to him. right? that egging feeling in his chest as his messages to you were now left on seen more often than not. your cat keychain you hung on your bag that “reminded you of him” being replaced by a charm of a maple leaf, the same one kazuha had on his bag.
it bothered him. and he didn’t try to hide it. every time you’d sit next to kazuha instead of him, he’d grumble under his breath. a part of him ached to see you bare on his bedroom floor again, your fingers running through his hair, your gentle kisses on his forehead when you’d put him to bed when he was in a foul mood. he actually missed you.
but why were you so distant now? surely kazuha wasn’t giving you something he wasn’t, right? he couldn’t. you’d always declared your loyalty to scaramouche, never once breaking it.
then why did you admit you were in love with kazuha? your hands together in front of scaramouche as he scoffs, taking you by the wrist the second those words left your mouth.
“come again? i think i misheard you (y/n). you said you were in love with me just last month. so how do you even think you have feelings for that poet?” his voice wavered, eyes scanning across your face for a sign, a hint of remorse or love that you once held for him.
you shake your head, taking your hand away from scaramouche’s grip but he tightens it anyway. his eyes bore into yours, begging, pleading for it not to be true. for you to laugh it off and say you were kidding.
“he’s.. kind. it’s unlike something i’ve had before, and.. it feels good. it feels good to be wanted, scara. something i never felt with you.”
“something i never felt with you”, those words rung in his head as he laughs loudly, fat tears spilling as he pulls you into his chest. your hands going to push him away as he holds you tightly, laughing through his tears.
“you promised me (y/n), you promised you’d stay. you said you’d stay with me forever, love me forever! please don’t be like them, please don’t let that be a lie.”
“let me go, scara. please.” you whispered, feeling him shake his head as his hands tighten around you.
“n-no, no.. i can’t lose you too. archons, i can’t. what did childe say (y/n)? i promise he didn’t mean it, whatever he said isn’t true! i swear.. let’s just, go back to how it used to be, yeah? you can come over like you used to and- and we just don’t have to have sex. we can do things you like! i swear.. so please..”
his tears had rolled down, coating your neck as he wept. you’d never seen him in such a desperate state. his eyes looking into yours for a hint of what used to be there for him, but there wasn’t. more tears rolled down his cheeks as he let you go. he had fucked up. again. and this time he lost you, the one thing he never thought he’d lose.
“i’m sorry, scara. i’ve moved on. i think you have too with haypasia, you’ll be okay.” you say before picking up your bag, leaving him standing there with a wreck of feelings in his chest.
“you’re just like the rest.” he spat under his breath, harshly wiping at his eyes as the tears continued to flow. a hateful sentence meant to comfort no one but himself. he knew you weren’t at fault for it, he knew one day you’d want something more of him, something he’d be reluctant to give you. the day you finally escaped the clutches of the toxic relationship he had given you, the same day he had deemed the end of his new beginning.
“i never got my forever with you, like you promised. i can’t apologize for hating you for it.”

this is just a short and sweet little fic based on a random idea I had, totally different from what I normally do but I hope y'all like it!!
“Hey pumpkin,” he purred as you sat on his desk, resting one of those beautiful ringed hands on your thigh. You had been practicing how you were going to say this all weekend and now you felt like you’d forgotten it somehow; he had that effect on you.
Taking a deep breath, you saw his eyes narrow for a second and his head tilt— he knew something was up, but he didn’t have to ask what before you blurted it out: “I’m late.”
He frowned and looked at the clock on the classroom wall; “It’s still three minutes until class?” he observed.
“Eddie…” you whispered, feeling so— something. This crazy feeling you’d had for days now; this weird, nervous, insecure kind of feeling. This oh my god is this happening to me feeling.
He looked at you, waiting for more context, and you chewed your lip as you looked away. Then he seemed to get it, and his chest sunk. “O-oh, fuck.”
“Yeah.”
“I— okay,” he breathed, leaning in closer to you. “Like… how late?”
“Four days?”
“Shit,” he hissed, glancing out the window and back at you— like there was gonna be someone standing outside holding up a sign for him that would tell him what to say. But there wasn’t, and he obviously had no fucking idea what to say. “Shit,” he said again.
“Yeah,” you also said again.
He stood up from his desk, lowering his voice and standing closer to you so (hopefully) only you could hear; thankfully nobody else seemed to be paying either of you much attention, just trying to get ready for class. You wished you could think about class right now. “What do we— I mean, how do we— I— when will you know? Like, for sure?”
Even with all this fear (and nausea) swirling inside you, you still almost swooned at those big brown eyes, looking at you like this. You could tell he was terrified, just as much as you, but he couldn’t hide the small edge of excitement— as much as this is supposed to be every young guy’s worst nightmare, you knew a part of him was thrilled at the chance of it.
You were too, though you were too embarrassed to admit that even to yourself. It was horribly misguided; your parents didn’t even know you’d been seeing Eddie, because you’d figured they would have a heart attack if they knew. This was going to be armageddon— if it was really going to happen. You were still hoping it was just an unpredictable period and a whole lot of wasted emotion.
“I won’t know for sure until I go to a doctor,” you answered, “but I can’t really do that without tipping off my parents…”
“I’ll drive you,” he decided.
“And… if it’s…?” you dared to mumble, nervously glancing down, preparing for him to answer that he would drive you to a different doctor…
Instead, he opened his mouth and the bell rang. “We’ll talk about that later,” he decided.
“Okay,” you breathed. “I— yeah, we’ll talk about it. We’ll… figure something out.”
He pulled you in for a kiss suddenly, and it soothed you a bit as you melted into his arms. The teacher cleared her throat; “I’d oblige you to return to your own classroom, Miss?” she instructed.
Eddie didn’t let you go quite yet, though, holding your face and looking at you closely. “It’s gonna be okay,” he promised. “No matter what happens, it’s gonna be okay. Okay?”
“Okay.”
He kissed your forehead one more time as he hugged you, and then you took your leave, back to your class, where you had no hope of focusing.
~
“If you do— I mean, if it is—” he kept stopping and starting over— “and if it’s mine—”
“Eddie!” you frowned, smacking him on the arm.
“Sorry, sorry— I know you’re not— sorry,” he mumbled, “I just mean… that’s my baby. Our baby.”
You bit your lip.
“I-if it is, you know, there, I mean,” he mitigated.
“Okay, so if it is— if I am… what do you want me to do?” you asked.
“Whatever you need to do,” he nodded. “Whatever’s right for you. I mean, I know your parents…”
He trailed off, and you raised your brows as you nodded. “Yeah…”
“So if you have to… I understand,” he insisted.
“But what do you want me to do?” you asked again.
He chewed his lip. “It’s your choice.”
“I know,” you groaned, “but if you could choose what I was going to do for me—”
“Which I would never do,” he announced proudly.
“What would you hypothetically want me to do if it was up to you?” you pressed. “And don’t say I should do what’s best for me,” you warned, causing him to shut his mouth which he’d just opened.
“I… uh, well, I guess…” he stalled, looking down; but you could tell he already knew what he wanted, he was just trying to find the courage to say it. Getting a serious look on his face, he finally admitted it: “I’d want you to keep it. I’d want us to… have it, raise it.”
You sighed, smiling with relief— you felt the same way, but didn’t want to say it first, in case it pressured him into feeling like he had to be involved. And the last thing you wanted was to raise a baby with someone only there out of obligation.
“I know we’re young, and it’s sooner than either one of us wanted this to happen,” he continued, “but I don’t… I don’t want you to think of our baby as a mistake. Not planned, sure, a little unexpected… but if we do this, it’s not a mistake. It’s two people who love each other starting a family together.”
He stepped closer to you, holding your hands tightly as you smiled.
“But that’s just if I was in charge of everything, which I’m not,” he laughed.
“No, that’s what I want, too,” you admitted. “But, if that’s gonna happen, I have to tell my parents first.”
Eddie blew out a long breath that inflated his cheeks. “Yeah. Good luck with that.”
You raised an eyebrow, and he coughed.
“Uh, I mean— I’ll come with you, if you want, obviously. Your dad doesn’t own any guns, right?”
You laughed a little, leaning forward to rest your head on his chest with a sigh. “He won’t literally kill you, Ed— but I think I should do it myself, just so they have a chance to meet you when things are less… emotional, I guess.”
“Yeah,” he breathed, kissing the top of your head and petting your hair as you leaned on him. “S’gonna be okay, pumpking, even if they get mad at first.”
You nodded, replying “I know,” but you didn’t really know. You had this sick feeling in your stomach, terrified of how they would react— especially considering you’d already been formally banned from seeing Eddie anymore.
You waited, of course, to tell them until you were late enough that something had to be said— actually, they nearly figured it out once the sudden bouts of nausea began. If either of you had known what would happen after they found out, you would’ve cherished that time before more carefully.
one year later…
It took about half a second for Wayne to figure it out, seeing you on his doorstep with a baby on your hip.
His nephew had been listless ever since you left, and it took him a while to even say what was going on— but after a few times of innocently asking if that girl’s ever gonna come around again, Wayne finally assumed that you’d dumped him. But apparently, it was far worse than that; when he had a few beers in him, Eddie told the whole story about how a broken condom led to a missed period and about a dozen positive at-home tests. And that, apparently, wasn’t the issue— he admitted he’d wanted to go through with it, offered to marry you, got excited about having a child even if he felt totally overwhelmed at the idea of becoming a father.
I figured I could do it better than mine, Eddie told his uncle, a little somber smile on his face, and that made me feel better. Kind of a low bar, but still. I’d’ve done anything for that baby… for our baby…
But that was when he got choked up and struggled to say much more, until Wayne eventually pulled it out of him. Her parents, man, they hate me— guess I can understand why, ‘cept they never even met me. She told ‘em and they just went ballistic. And they… she’s gone.
‘Gone’ as in, shipped off to live with extended family in another state and, presumably, have the pregnancy quietly ‘taken care of’. You’d told him from the start that’s probably what they’d do, or at least make you give it up for adoption. They told their country club and cotillion friends you were studying abroad, to save the shame of admitting their daughter was knocked up by a trailer park freak.
Well, apparently Eddie had been slightly wrong about what happened to the baby after you disappeared, and now, here you were. And Wayne was staring at you, with that sweet-but-slightly-terrified look in your eyes.
“Is Eddie here?” you asked meekly; because what else would you ask?
Wayne sighed. “No, he’s at work— he’ll be back in an hour.”
Your eyes lit up a little, even through all that fear you had on your face. “He has a job?”
Yeah, at the oil change place on Main,” Wayne nodded. “You can wait for him here, if you don’t mind.”
You smiled a little; “F’course I don’t,” you assured, “and… well, I figured you might wanna meet her, too.”
Wayne smiled back, feeling like he was finally allowed to address the adorable, chubby-cheeked elephant in the room.
“Say hi to Uncle Wayne,” you instructed the baby sweetly, and she smiled but tucked her face into your shoulder.
“Hi, beautiful,” he smiled at her, waving with just the tips of his fingers. “Wow, got your daddy’s eyes, don’tcha?”
You felt your face warm as he noticed it— of course, it wasn’t like there was much chance this was anybody else’s baby, but knowing that Wayne knew made you slightly nervous he would judge you somehow (since everyone else had). Instead, he brought you both inside and started making tea.
~
When Eddie’s van pulled up outside the trailer, you glanced at Wayne nervously. He nodded towards the door, adding, “I’ll watch her— just go.”
Your legs were a little shaky as you stood up off the couch, but you did your best to breathe normally as you opened the door and stepped out onto the lawn.
Eddie was getting groceries out of the back of his van, and your heart rate picked up even more as you waited for him to see you; you worried he wouldn’t want to, after you disappeared on him. You’d never had a chance to say goodbye, to explain what was going on or why you were leaving… he could hate you, if he wanted, for abandoning him.
But when he did see you, and you shyly shrugged a little as you waited for a reaction, he dropped the grocery bags on the ground and ran to you.
“Oh my god!” he laughed excitedly, pulling you into a tight bear hug. “Pumpkin, I thought I might never see you again…”
You hugged him back, wanting to think of something to say but getting too caught up in holding him again, in burying your face in his soft shirt and smelling his cologne; this was all you’d been thinking about for most of the last year.
“I missed you so much,” Eddie began as he let you go for a moment, looking at you like he wanted to be sure you were really here, “and I wanted to call, or write or something, but I couldn’t— I guess you couldn’t either— and I barely got out of bed for a week after you left, just ask Wayne— how long have you been waiting? Are your boobs bigger?”
You started to laugh, covering your face with your hands and Eddie’s laughed thinly as his face tinted pink.
“Sorry, I didn’t wanna say anything,” he mumbled, “but like, they’re bigger, right?”
You nodded. “Yeah— it’s ‘cause I’m breastfeeding…”
He blinked quickly, and you bit your lip as you waited for a reaction. “I thought— I figured your parents had made you— I— pumpkin,” he breathed, and your heart twisted. “Is this really…? I mean, I’m not dreaming, am I?”
You shook your head. “I’m sorry I couldn’t visit before— I wanted you to meet her so bad, I just—”
“Her?” he repeated, and you only started to choke up when you saw the tears in his eyes; you nodded. “I— oh my god, I love you,” he said simply, wiping a tear off his cheek before hugging you again— not as tight as before but somehow warmer and sweeter.
“I love you too,” you whispered, “I’m sorry I left, I’m sorry I couldn’t call, I swear I wanted to but—”
“Don’t be sorry for anything, okay?” he interrupted you, kissing the top of your head as he began to rock you side to side in the hug. “I’m just so happy you’re here…”
“Sh-she’s here too,” you blurted out, making him freeze and look down at you. “She’s inside, with Wayne, if you wanna…?”
He sniffled as he wiped another tear away; “Y-yeah, of course… of course I do, wow, yeah. Okay.”
“I-it’s okay if you’re not ready yet,” you assured, but he laughed.
“Are you kidding? I’ve been waiting for this since… I don’t even know how long— since you sat on my desk in Science class…”
You beamed and hugged him again before you walked together into the trailer.
When you and Eddie stepped inside, Wayne was bouncing her on his knee— she was reaching up to grab his face, a new favorite hobby of hers, and he scrunched up his nose and closed one eye as her little hands explored his rough, stubbly features. Eddie already looked overcome with emotion just watching the scene before him, staring forward at her with a slack mouth and shiny eyes, and he hadn’t even seen her face yet; when you shut the door, the sound made her turn her head to look back at you. He was still speechless, walking forward slowly and kneeling down in front of Wayne’s feet. Wayne turned her to face him better, and Eddie wordlessly reached up towards her; she grabbed hold of one of his fingers, and he smiled and sniffled as he looked at her tiny fist and back up to her face. “Hi there,” he greeted quietly.
“Eddie… this is Emily,” you introduced them quietly, and Eddie beamed as he glanced at you for a second before looking at her again.
“Hello, Emily,” he said, “I’m Eddie— I mean, dad. I’m Daddy. Nice to meet you.”
You snorted at how formal it was, but still had to wipe a tear from your eye.
“Can I hold her?” he asked quietly, nervously.
“Of course,” you breathed, almost heartbroken that he could ever imagine not being allowed to hold her— but then again, he never got to see her, or even know she existed, until now.
Wayne handed her off to Eddie, who put his hands under her arms— she was still so small, his grasp almost covered her whole body. Standing up and taking her with him, Eddie stared at her for a moment with the most amazed smile on his face; she reached for that very face, and he laughed as she held on tight to his nose.
You were wondering if you’d have to guide him in how to hold her, but as he pulled her into a hug, he impressed you with how experienced he already looked— he looked like a dad, and he’d only been doing it for less than a minute. It made your heart so full, finally seeing them together, finally seeing your baby in her father’s arms, finally feeling like your family was complete.
He bounced her in his arms, kissing her head and face, tears still striping his cheeks. Hi baby, hi beautiful, hi gorgeous, hi Emily, he kept whispering to her. Daddy loves you so much. Daddy missed you.

To say that Bruce Wayne didn’t like Vlad Masters would be an understatement. Masters refused to treat anyone not obviously rich with any decency, was allergic to admitting he was wrong, used underhanded business tactics to get unconscionably one-sided deals, and kept everything just barely on the side of legal. All on top of having the reputation as one of America’s Most Charitable Billionaires with how much money he gave into rare disease research, that just so happened to also be America’s second biggest tax write-off for one individual. It wasn’t a private feud either. Bruce had gotten, first, in a donation war for who could fund the most charities, which Bruce had thought was in good fun, until it soon became clear that Masters was taking it far too seriously and tried to sabotage a charity event. Bruce wasn’t sure how he did it, but “it was lucky that Batman was there” to get everyone out of the burning building. Bruce then learned just how competitive the man was, and if he didn’t let him win, there’d be more innocent people put into danger.
So, you could imagine his surprise when he got a phone call from a dejected sounding Vlad Masters. “Bruce, it may be hard to believe, but I need your help.”
“With what?” Bruce didn’t want to deal with this man-child’s ego tripping, but he could never refused a cry for help, whether legitimate or a trap.
Vlad sighed loudly into the phone and Bruce thought for a moment he had been hung up on and missed the beep. But after the long pause Vlad said, “Recently, some old college friends of mine died.”
Bruce absorbed that in the shorter pause that followed. First that someone like Vlad had friends, and second, that their deaths meant something to him.
Vlad continued, “Jack had been a rival of mine and I had never forgiven him for marrying the woman I’d loved or – he also caused an accident that had left me hospitalized for months. I still say we were friends because, well, he never stopped trying to be mine despite how horrible I was to him. We had met when he and I were in a horrible punk band, and then I met his friend Maddie and the three of us made – Sorry, I don’t mean to ramble...”
“It’s understandable,” Bruce responded, “But, you said you needed my help? I have a really good grief counselor if that’s something you’d like?”
“Ah no, you see, Jack and Maddie had a son,” Vlad paused, “They had a daughter too, but she was home when their basement laboratory blew up and their entire house collapsed into it. The three of them, as well as three other teenagers, died. Danny was the only one to survive, and he is now in my care.”
“Jesus,” Bruce sighed, “Does he-”
“Before you offer, a bad experience with a school counselor has him sworn off seeing any kind of professional.” Vlad cut in, “And my bad behavior with his parents beforehand has convinced him I’m some kind of evil supervillain who wants world domination or some such nonsense. He wouldn’t trust anyone who’s associated with me in any way.”
Bruce nodded, seeing where this was going, “But you and I are openly rivals.”
Vlad hummed in agreement, “And you unfortunately have firsthand experience with both losing your parents and helping a grieving teen through the same.”
Bruce sighed, he was getting another kid, wasn’t he?

Mistletoe & Holly
Summary: Harry finally reveals to his friend Holly how he feels about her on her birthday...which just happens to be Christmas.
Warnings: None
Word Count: 4833
A/N: As promised, this is one of my two holiday fics from the past. Originally written and posted in 2021. In Harry's POV.
Holly’s birthday was the 25th of December. “Freaking Christmas Day”, as she'd put it when we'd become friends years ago.
"I was born on freaking Christmas Day, Harry! Like baby Jesus. Can you believe it?"
Her mum had been told she couldn't have children, but 'lo and behold one day after having a horrible upset stomach and a case of indigestion, she went to the doctor only to find out she was pregnant. Holly'd laughed about it then when she told me, making light of the fact that she'd been a miracle baby. I couldn't help but think she was indeed a miracle.
To say I'd had a crush on her would be an understatement. I reckon in those early days it was just a crush, as I followed her around like a dumb lovestruck puppy. But I didn’t really know what love was yet; I just thought she was pretty, and she was cool because she had the entire second floor of her parents’ house to herself. She sat behind me in class, and I’d let her copy off my papers, or she’d let me do the same, even though neither of us got the best marks.
It wasn’t until the second year that I realised my feelings for her were more than mere infatuation. She started dating…other guys…and I didn’t like it. Especially when she would tell me about them. I found myself jealous, and I didn’t like that either. I would sulk, wishing I could turn back the clock to when it was just her and me. But the truth was, there never had been a her and me. We were never a thing and were never gonna be. I’d missed my chance. I was in the friend zone.
Still, every year I would celebrate her birthday with her. I thought it was a shame that she had to share her birthday with the biggest holiday of the year, so we’d do it a week before, a tradition I came up with myself.
“You need to have your day, Holly,” I insisted. “A day that’s just for you.”
“Okay,” she agreed, giving me that grin she’d use when she was humouring me. “What do you suggest we do to celebrate?”
I shrugged. “I’ll think of something. Just leave it to me.”
That first year I’ll admit was a little lame. It was too late to plan a party, not that I would have known whom to invite anyway. I baked her a cake (okay, my mum helped me a little), and I brought it to her house. The look on her face when she’d opened the door was totally worth it. She beamed at me with her big eyes and lovely crooked-tooth smile, and I could have kissed her had I not been holding that massive cake in my hands. Okay, maybe not.
We sat on the floor with our backs against the sofa whilst we ate cake and watched Star Wars - her choice. Somewhere around the middle of the movie, I gave her my other gift, a stuffed bear wearing a beanie. Yes, I know, cheesy. But I was a kid. She kept it on her bed for a long time, so I guess she didn’t hate it.
The next year I was able to plan a party, and a lot of kids came. But the downside was that Holly had a semi-boyfriend, a prat named Duncan who kept trying to get her alone. I came close to getting him to eat one of the cookies I'd brought, knowing he was allergic to nuts, but Holly quickly slapped it out of his hand, giving me a look. I lied and told her I hadn’t known of his allergy, and spent the rest of the party in the kitchen with her mum and dad, claiming I had a headache.
That wasn't the last time I had to walk around with my tail between my legs. After the X-Factor and becoming part of One Direction, we continued to stay in touch. But I'd forgotten about my pact with Holly until it was almost too late, and the guys and I were making plans for Louis's birthday.
"You should come," I told Holly on the phone. "We'll make it a joint thing. A massive celebration."
“Are you sure?” she asked, and I could detect the tone of hesitation.
“Of course. It’ll be fun.”
The party itself had been fun, but what I had neglected to do was try to make it extra special for Holly, seeing as most everyone else was there for Louis. After my bandmate had blown out his candles, and we roasted him for a bit, I brought out the cake for Holly, a round one with white icing and holly and berries on the top. While she put on her best smile, I could tell she was disappointed that no one made a big deal, barely singing an encore of “Happy Birthday” as they stood digging their forks into Louis’s cake.
Each year, I tried to one-up myself, hoping I’d make her birthday more enjoyable than the last - or at least better than that one. I made it a point never to combine her day with Louis’s again as the entire idea was based on her having her own day.
A few years later, however, I did the worst thing I possibly could. Niall and I had gotten into the liquor before the festivities had started, long before Holly even arrived. To this day I don’t really know why I did it, but I blame it on the nerves. I’d had it in the back of my mind that I was finally going to tell Holly how I felt about her. She’d had another boyfriend earlier that year, Eric, and I’d hated him. I mean, gritting-my-teeth-every-time-he-appeared and keeping-my-hands-in-fists-in-case-he-breathed-wrong hated him. He was a dickhead and just...completely wrong for Holly. She deserved much better. She deserved to be with someone who treated her like a queen. She deserved to be with me.
So when she and Eric had broken up before Halloween, I was so relieved and elated, I wanted to throw her the best birthday party ever. I was going to tell her everything in my heart. And up to then, I hadn’t told a soul.
That is, until Niall handed me a drink. I wasn’t sure what was in it, but it tasted amazing. The more I drank, the more I liked it. I was feeling pretty good, making jokes and having fun until I found myself telling Niall my plan.
“Shit, good luck, mate,” he said, slapping me on the back. “Just...what if she turns you down?”
Before that moment, I hadn’t even considered that Holly wouldn’t love me back. I mean, certainly there was no guarantee that she would fall into my arms as soon as I confessed. She might have some reservations, even, what with us being such good friends and all. But what if she actually said she had no feelings for me at all and told me to get lost? Suddenly, I felt a sourness in my stomach, and not from the liquor.
To make matters worse, as if on cue, the door opened and in stepped Holly. For a second my face lit up, all doubts I’d just had a second earlier now dissolving at the sight of her in her black dress and red lipstick. Straightening my shirt, I stood back, waiting until her other friends gave her welcoming hugs to make my move.
And that’s when I saw him.
Fucking Eric was stood right behind her.
In less than two seconds, I strode across the room, my eyes shooting daggers at the wanker.
“Hey, Harry!” Holly beamed at me, but I barely noticed. “Looks like a great party.”
“What’s he doing here?” I growled, my hands in fists ready to take a punch if needed. Eric merely raised his eyebrows, as though he already knew he was unwelcome.
“Oh, I hope you don’t mind,” Holly said meekly. “I invited him.”
“You’re back together?”
Holly shrugged, a pink blush to her cheeks as she looked over her shoulder at him. “Maybe. We’ve been talking…”
Eric gave a grin so smug that I felt my arm swing back, but someone grabbed it. Turning my head, I saw Niall who shook his at me. Just then I heard a squeal to my left as another one of Holly’s friends ran up to greet the birthday girl. As they embraced, I suddenly felt the room close in on me, so I pushed through the crowd back to wherever Niall was keeping that good tasting concoction.
I don’t remember much else about that night except some girl whose name I’ve forgotten. Niall tells me I “played disciple”, following her wherever she went until she agreed to join me in a spare room. I’m not sure what I was doing, or how far I actually got with her, but apparently Holly walked in on us. She’s never told me what she saw, and I’m not sure if that’s more for her benefit or mine.
But yeah. Not my finest hour.
As the years went by, Holly and I remained friends, keeping in touch mostly through her private social media accounts, occasionally reaching out or getting together when our paths crossed. I heard of her new boyfriends, one I even met in person whom I considered to be a proper lad. Holly asked about my relationships as well, never sounding jealous or snarky, only supportive. I reckoned we’d both matured, particularly from my end. Eventually my romantic feelings for her evaporated to more of a warm, mutual understanding. Or at least that’s what I told myself.
This year, Holly decided to have her party at her place. She’d recently purchased her own place, her first “big girl flat” she called it, and was excited to show it off. She let me know that I needn’t plan anything, that she had it all under control.
Slamming the car door behind me, I looked up at her building, the windows and balcony trimmed in clear lights, a wreath decorating the center of the railing. I thought of all the previous Decembers I’d spent with Holly, celebrating her birthday, and suddenly felt a sense of loneliness. I hadn’t been dating anyone in what seemed like a long time as I tried to recall if she currently had a boyfriend.
The large, red, square box under my arm, I wiped my brow with the back of my other gloved hand, feeling the first fall of snow. Trudging up the steps, I rang the buzzer for Holly’s flat, an unmistakable smile twitching my lips when I heard her voice welcoming me in.
“Oh, I’ve missed you, my love,” she cooed softly into my ear as she wrapped her arms around my neck. I tried my best to keep my adolescent desires at bay as I innocently inhaled the scent of her perfume. “You need to come around more often.”
“And when’s the last time you came to see me, hmm?” I teased.
Her mouth in a straight line, Holly considered my comment. “You know, we can’t all afford to follow you around on tour for a year.”
“Have I been gone that long?”
“Longer,” Holly chided, taking my coat and setting my present on the credenza behind her, next to the other shiny wrapped gifts.
I chuckled. “Impossible. I saw you last birthday.”
“Fair enough. Just don’t make it a habit.”
“Too late, darling.”
I caught the gleam in Holly’s eye just before I felt a hand slap my shoulder, making me turn.
“Harry, lad! Wonderful to see you!”
“You as well, Richard, how are you?” I greeted Holly’s dad who guided me into the next room. My gaze searching for Holly, I caught her hanging my coat just before the doorbell rang again and Richard poured me a bourbon.
I sat in Holly’s living room, chatting with Richard and Megan, Holly’s mum, and few of Holly’s friends - some I’d known for years and some I’d just met. Holly, being the gracious hostess, greeted each person to arrive, so it was a while before she finally joined us. I noticed how she pushed her hair behind her right ear; I noticed how she sipped her cocktail; I noticed how she threw her head back laughing at something funny that was said. I noticed everything.
But more importantly, I noticed how no one had claimed the spot next to her, taking her hand or sliding their arm around her shoulder, chatting like she was their better half.
Holly was single. Just like me.
“Harry,” she suddenly addressed me as she rose from her chair with a smile, “let me show you the rest of the flat.”
Setting my glass on the table, I eagerly stood up. Then Holly surprised me by turning toward the other guests.
“You lot can sit tight and talk amongst yourselves for a bit, can’t you? I need some alone time with my old friend.”
“Of course, love!” Megan cheered, waving us away. “Take your time.”
With a smirk on my face and a thump in my chest, I began to follow Holly out of the room just in time to hear Richard’s remark that I was sure was not meant for me to hear.
“Old friend, my arse!” he quipped. “Girl’s been mad about him since-”
“Shhh!” Megan interrupted. “Quiet, Richard, they’ll hear you!”
“Harry, are you coming?” Holly’s voice called, making me realise I’d stopped just outside the doorway.
“Yeah. Sorry.”
“I’ll show you the kitchen last because it’s closest to the den,” she explained. “And that way we can circle back around.”
“Alright,” I nodded sheepishly as she stopped at the end of the hall with a smile. However, instead of gesturing toward the room ahead of her, she pointed at the lovely french doors beside where we stood.
“This is probably my favourite part of this flat,” she said wistfully. “It was the selling point for me.”
I knew the doors must open to the balcony I’d seen outside when I’d arrived before she grabbed the handles and pushed them open. A gust of wind blew in, causing her hair to lift and flow behind her, like she was Elsa in Frozen.
“Sorry,” she muttered, “I know it’s horribly frigid out there. I just wanted you to see.”
“It’s very lovely,” I grinned, stepping up next to her.
“I can’t wait to have morning tea out here,” she added, grabbing my arm. “But I’m afraid that will have to wait until spring.”
In what felt like slow motion, Holly squeezed my arm against her chest, and I felt the warmth of her even through my jumper. I couldn’t help but smile as she pressed her nose to my shoulder before releasing her hold and pulling the doors shut.
“Brrrr,” she shook. “Perhaps that was a bad idea.”
I chuckled as I followed her to the open doorway to our left.
“Toilet,” she confirmed with a shrug. “Nothing fancy. And this is my bedroom.”
The room at the end of the hall was open to reveal a large bed, decorated in loads of blankets and massive amounts of pillows, all in shades of blue and grey. As I stepped into the room, the familiar scent that I only associated with Holly filled my nostrils. Everything felt very serene, as though I’d been there before, and I never wanted to leave.
“I tried to make it as calming as possible,” I heard her speak behind me. “Like my own personal sanctuary.”
“I reckon you succeeded,” I nodded. “It’s beautiful, Holly.”
“Thanks,” she beamed. “Okay, now for the kitchen.”
Holly surprised me again by holding out her hand, which I took gratefully. Passing by the french doors again, I noticed something I hadn’t before - a small sprig of a plant hanging just above the doors.
“Hey, is that…” I pointed.
I caught the pink in Holly’s cheeks before she giggled and nodded. “Mistletoe. I just thought it was cute, and kinda funny.”
“Alright then,” I smirked, recalling Richard’s previous hushed words.
“Mum and Dad may want to use it later,” she shrugged before turning the corner where I swore I heard her murmur, “or someone else.”
Pulling me into the kitchen, she stopped only to emphatically announce her pleasure in having more counter space than she’d ever had in her life. I smiled at her animated enthusiasm, happy for her that she finally owned her own place.
As she gestured to the exit to the left, I followed her back into the living room where a resounding game of charades was being played. I laughed as I watched Holly’s friend Gina try her best to mime the clue whilst Richard called out absurd answers.
“It might be time for Dad to put down the bourbon,” I heard Holly chuckle to my left just before Megan called out the correct answer and the room cheered.
“Ah, the birthday girl’s returned!” announced another of Holly’s friends. “I say it’s time to open the gifts!”
I felt Holly’s hand push the back of my arm, guiding me to the party. I took the chair I’d sat in earlier, across from Holly’s as I awaited the presents ritual. I was suddenly reminded of what I’d gotten her when Richard and Megan brought in the gifts collected on the credenza, setting them at Holly’s feet. My ridiculous red box sat in the back of the pile, like a caboose of confession.
I considered that she might take it lightly and even joke about it, the way she probably would have had she had a significant other. I supposed that was my own initial idea when I’d made the purchases and put it together. But now...after seeing her again, and all the feelings flooding back...I knew I’d been kidding myself.
Now everyone was going to watch her open it and see the awkward reaction she was bound to have. Good one, Styles.
One by one, I sat in silence and watched Holly open each gift, all earning oohs and ahs. When she finally reached for mine, I knew I was doomed.
“I hope you don’t mind,” she said to the entire room, though her eyes were focused on me. “I saved this one for last.”
I could feel the stares without shifting my eyes. Licking my lips, I awaited the inevitable. When she tore off the wrapping and lifted the lid to the box, however, I got a different reaction from what I’d expected. Instead of looking confused and awkward, Holly laughed gleefully, throwing a hand over her mouth just as she snorted. Though I tried my best to laugh along with her, I was extremely perplexed.
“Oh my God,” she shrieked, lifting the bouquet of mistletoe. “That’s so funny, Harry! How did you know?”
Giving a light-hearted shrug, I muttered, “Just thought it was cute and funny.”
Gina, sat to Holly’s left, took the mistletoe from her hands and lifted it above Holly’s head. “Alright, who’s ready to kiss the birthday girl?”
Feeling a sudden wave of embarrassment, I was glad when Gina took it upon herself to give Holly a kiss on the check. And even more relieved when Marcus, her friend sat to her right pointed at the box.
“Looks like there’s more, Hol,” he said.
As Gina claimed the mistletoe, Holly reached inside the box for the second item - a monogrammed photo album I’d had made especially for her.
“Oh this is lovely!” she breathed, setting the box on the floor to balance the album in her lap. “Oh and look! There’s mistletoe and holly on it. How clever, H!”
When she opened it, I saw how wide her eyes got, realising what was inside.
“This...this is all you and me.”
“All of your birthdays,” I confirmed, “at least since I’ve known you. Except for the one that I ruined. And few other...fun moments.”
I heard a few awws and a “that’s so lovely, Harry” from Megan, but all I could focus on was Holly as she scanned each and every photo.
“How did you...find all these?” she asked. As she lifted her head, I noticed the wetness in her eyes.
I shrugged. “Most of them I already had. I’ve just been...collecting them.”
“I had no idea we’d taken so many pictures,” she sniffed. “Thank you, Harry, this is really special.”
“You’re welcome,” I nodded, relieved that she hadn’t thought more of it than a mere gesture of friendship.
Shutting the book, Holly reached forward for the box, noticing one more thing was inside.
“Oh, there’s more?” she asked with raised brows.
At the bottom of the box was another smaller box. When Holly lifted the lid, she gasped.
When Holly and I were fourteen, I’d given her a friendship bracelet. She’d worn it every single day for two years until one day she’d gotten it soiled. That birthday, I’d given her a new one. Though she’d argued with me that she didn’t want to replace the original, she was ultimately happy that I had.
That birthday that I’d ruined - the one where I nearly punched Eric and fooled around with some girl I don’t remember - my gift had been a silver charm bracelet. My idea had been to tell her that it was to officially replace that friendship bracelet, which I knew was long gone. But I hadn’t gotten the chance to see her open it because I’d been drunk and preoccupied.
I’d never seen Holly wearing that bracelet, either.
This year…
“Wow, Harry, I…” she began, more tears forming in her eyes as she lifted the gold braided bracelet in her hand, “I dunno what to say. This is...way more than you’ve ever given me.”
“That’s so gorgeous,” oohed Gina as she leant over to see Holly slip it onto her wrist.
“It’s to...replace that old one,” I explained.
“Which one?” Holly asked.
“The one that I never got to give you,” I admitted. “The one that is probably tainted because I was such an asshole that night and got wasted at your party.”
“Oh,” Holly mouthed. I could see the recognition in her face. She knew exactly what I was referring to.
“I regret that night, terribly, love,” I added, pressing a hand to my chest.
“Oh my God, what happened?” inquired Gina.
“I’d rather not talk about it,” muttered Holly, closing the box and returning it to the floor.
“I ruined her birthday,” I said before I even realised what I was doing. “Because I couldn’t just admit to her how I felt about her.”
Jaws dropped all around the room as Holly stared at me.
“Good on ya, mate!” I heard Richard say. “I always suspected!”
“Richard!” Megan scoffed in a loud whisper.
“Well, I did!”
The room seemed to fall away as I saw Holly rise from her chair and sprint down the hall. It wasn’t the reaction I’d expected, but it wasn’t a surprising one. Hastily, I followed her, wondering what the bloody hell I was going to say next. Hopefully I hadn’t just ruined a second birthday.
I found her stood next to the balcony doors, her hands on the knobs like she was debating whether or not to open them. I cleared my throat to let her know I was there, as I heard her whimper.
“Holly,” I managed to say, my mouth as dry as a desert. “Are you...okay?”
I saw her shoulders drop before she nodded. “I’m fine.”
Stepping closer, I could tell she was wiping her eyes.
“You don’t seem fine. I made a fool of myself and humiliated you in the process. I’m so sorry, Holly.”
“No, Harry,” she said. “I’m the fool.”
Turning to face me, she threw up her hands. “I had no idea.”
“That’s my fault,” I admitted. “I’m shit at communication. And I was afraid of rejection.”
“Since when?”
“Since...forever.”
With a tiny, quiet laugh, Holly shook her head. “Me too.”
“What?”
“Not only am I shit at communication, Harry,” she confessed, “but I suck at giving hints apparently.”
“No, I suck at taking them,” I giggled. “‘Cause I don’t recall any hints that you felt...any way about me.”
“See?” she threw up her hands again. “God, Harry, can you even imagine the feeling of being gutted when you’re crushing on your best friend and you walk in on him getting head from some other girl?”
Her words were like a knife right through my heart as I slowly closed my eyes and sighed. “I’m so very sorry, Hol.”
“The worst of it was that I had only invited Eric to the party to make you jealous.”
“What?” I asked again, my eyes popping open in disbelief.
“I was convinced you would never like me back the way I wanted you to. So because I knew you hated Eric, I reckoned you might take more notice if I got back together with him.”
“Holly, what the fuck?” I ran my hand down my face.
“I know,” she muttered. “Not my proudest moment.”
“Can we just erase that night out of our lives?” I suggested.
With a tight smile, Holly looked down at her new bracelet, tracing the plaits. “Maybe.”
“So, what do we do now?” I inquired.
“I don’t know that either,” she admitted. “This was rather sudden. To be honest, Harry, I’d thought I’d gotten over you. And then you-”
Her words were interrupted by my sudden kiss. Soft and tender, it was a quick kiss, though I could feel her sigh against me.
“What was that for?” she breathed.
With a smirk, I raised my brows and pointed at the ceiling. “Mistletoe.”
“Oh.”
“You were saying?”
“I…” she began, a dreamy look in her eyes, “don’t remember.”
I pulled her into my arms then and kissed her with purpose, doing my best to replace all the time that we’d lost. I knew it would take years to even get close, but I was willing to try.
I felt Holly’s hand slide down my arm and grab my hand before she pulled back. With swollen lips and a look in her eyes I’d ever seen before, she led me toward her bedroom, closing the door behind us.
With only a lamp lighting the room, I joined her on the bed, kicking off my shoes. We made out like teenagers - as though the years had not made any difference in how we felt or what we wanted. The only real difference was that I was no longer afraid to let it be known.
My head spinning and my heart pounding, I suddenly felt Holly press a hand against my chest.
“Harry? Let’s not make this a bad fanfiction, okay?”
I chuckled in disbelief. “What?”
“You know, the friends-to-lovers trope, where we finally have sex and at the end, we just assume everything ended splendidly like a fairy tale.”
“Well, love, I was kinda hoping it will,” I stated honestly.
Holly tilted her head, her soft hair falling against the pillow and her shoulder, her expression both innocent and seductive. I had to bite my lip.
“I think you know what I mean.”
“Okay,” I grinned. “So how should it end, then?”
“Well…,” she sighed, the vibration against my chest causing me to take a breath. “It seems rather silly to say we should take it slow given that…”
I nodded. “Yeah.”
“But how about we ease into it? See what happens.” She ran her delicate hands up my biceps, her suggestion nearly being blanketed by her touch.
“That seems like a good idea,” I agreed as I leant forward and kissed her inviting lips again. She hummed low as I separated our kiss, taking a moment before opening her eyes. Then grasping at a curl near my ear, her eyes danced as she wrapped it around her finger.
“How does one tell her best friend that she loves him?” she suddenly asked.
A wide grin spreading across my face, I let my fingers trace the side of her beautiful face.
“I reckon you just did, my love.”
I kissed her deeply then, her fingers tangling tighter in my hair. Mistletoe or not, I knew in that moment that I could continue to kiss her forever, if she let me. When I felt her leg slide against my hip, however, and she gasped against my mouth, I knew we should return to our original vow.
“We should probably get back to the party,” I admitted.
“Hmm, yeah,” Holly nodded with a sigh. “Let’s do that before my dad calls out a search crew.”
I laughed against her neck, feeling her giggle rise from her throat. Giving it a few more pecks, I finally lifted my head to look at her pretty, glowing face.
“Happy Birthday, Holly.”
“Happy Christmas, Harry.”

?: Listen skank.
Dan: God..?
?: I found a hair in my burger and I need you to refund it for me. Also make me another.
Dan: The hell you think you’re talkin’ to?
Kai: Hai.
Dan: Bitch! I thought you died!
Kai: Nope, just life. Work. College. The usual.
Dan: Hmph. Let’s go sit.
Kai: Wait, aren’t you on the clock?
Dan: Yeah? Who gives a fuck? And if they do, I’ll punch ‘em.
Kai: DAN!
Dan: Meh, it doesn’t matter. I have news.
-
Kai: Holy shit, congrats!
Dan: It’ll be nice working near the bay. The company sounds pretty great too. 401k, free admission to the aquarium, and healthcare. First time in my life I’ve ever had that. Wild.
Kai: I’m happy for you! Who else knows?
Dan: Uh, just you, Frances and Atlas. I’ll probably tell the others at the record store soon. Gotta keep them up to date with the lore.
Kai: Ah. Have you told your dad?
Dan: No-uh.
Kai: I see.
Dan: I want to tell him, I really do.
Kai: So what’s stopping you?
Dan: Ugh, feelings. Don’t make me talk about them right now.
Kai: Fine! We can talk about something else.
Dan: Let’s talk about you.
Kai: Naur.
Dan: Si. Where’ve you been loca?
Kai: [ cackles ] I hate you!
Dan: I’m sorry! You seem so… Different. Confident, maybe?
Kai: I didn’t realize. I dunno, a lot’s happened.
Dan: Like?
Kai: I slept with someone. Well, multiple people, actually. Taryn knows I like men. About Atlas, too. Speaking of which, there’s no fixing that.
Dan: What the fuck.
Kai: [ chuckles ] I’m surprised you took all of this for confidence.
Dan: I mean, you seem to be holding up better than I expected.
Kai: I feel hollow, Dan. Like everything’s wrong but I gotta accept it.
Dan: You can change it.
Kai: Maybe, but the way I left things with Alex-
Dan: Alex? Who?
Kai: He’s a good person and I… Took advantage of that.
Dan: What’d you do?
Kai: The night of the party. I told Atlas how I felt. Subconsciously I mean. It all sorta slipped out. I wasn’t really planning on it but he said some things. Well, we both said some nasty things. I was angry. He said that I knew nothing of compassion so I called Alex. I called him and I proved Atlas right.
Dan: Kai…
Kai: I felt so ashamed after sleeping with him. Using him to mask the rejection I felt. He didn’t deserve that. I’m such a shitty person.
Dan: Don’t go there.
Kai: It’s so hard not to.
Dan: So you made a mistake-
Kai: Several.
Dan: Everyone fucks up. There is not one person I’ve met that has done everything right. Look at our friend group. Complete mess but I’d like to think at the end of the day we’ve got each other. Regardless of flaws, it’s always been us.
Kai: I miss it. All of us. Together.
Dan: I do too, but we’ve all got shit to sort out, yeah? Why not give yourself the space to do so as well.
Kai: Sure.
Dan: And stop calling yourself horrible, got that?
Kai: Maybe.
Dan: Bastard.
Kai: How are you gonna tell me to be nice when you do this shit?
Dan: I never said I was perfect! Want me to grab you a milkshake?
Kai: Hell no, you said you never clean it.
Dan: PFFT- Valid. I’ll grab you a soda.
Kai: Hey, wait.
Dan: What’s up?
Kai: Thank you for taking care of us.
Dan: Someone’s got to.

In case I don’t tell you enough, I love you.
a letter from sans directed to you, his lover.
y/n,
it’s been five years since monsterkind was freed from the surface.
it’s been four years since i’ve met you.
it’s april, and i’m still missing you.
maybe it’s stupid of me to miss you considering that i left your house only a few hours ago, and i’m laying in bed writing this on some loose paper i found on my floor while i think of you.
weirdly enough, the silence in my room is now unsettling compared to how calming it used to be. i guess the fan in your room blowing wind on your bed that i’ve yet to see turned off has grown on me. or maybe it’s the rain sounds you always have playing on your tv that clash with the fan that grew on me.
or maybe it’s you that's grown on me.
sometimes when i have a nightmare or i can't sleep i play fan and rain sounds on youtube to help me rest, not even thinking consciously about it anymore. it always just makes me feel like i’m back in bed with you with my eyes closed, waiting for you to come back from the kitchen with the glass of water that you wanted.
i wish that i could sum it up and say i can't find the words to describe how i feel, but that’s a lie. i know exactly how i feel about you.
tracing my phalanges along the little scars and nicks of your skin when i’m next to you never fails to entertain me. neither does running my hand through your hair, or twisting the rings on your fingers, or kissing you quickly for the 1000th time. i never thought i would be fond of that sort of stuff, i never thought i was a guy for any sort of romance.
i guess i just never realized that all i needed was the right person to give it to me. all i needed was you.
i’m not the best writer. even my lab logs from the rare times when i help alphys with her scientific tests are messy and short out. it’s almost like having all these thoughts about you is starting to eat me alive. i guess i have nowhere else to put them but on a piece of paper. if we ever get married one day like i hope we do, i’d like to give this to you. who knows when that will be though, so i guess this letter will just sit in one of my drawers collecting dust until i can give it to you. it kinda sucks to think about the fact that these words might never reach you, but that’s the way life is. it sucks most of the time.
i get this weird sinking feeling in my ribs near where my soul rests sometimes. it’s mostly when i think about how i miss you. sometimes my hand reaches up and brushes up and down my shoulder blade when i’m lying in bed alone, mimicking the motion that your hand does to me all the time when we lay together. i don’t even notice it happens anymore, but when i do and i realize you’re not actually there, that’s when that weird sinking feeling happens. it also happens on the rare thought of you not being in my future one day, even though i know that won't happen. i know you wouldn’t leave me.
i can’t help but wonder what this feeling was before i met you, and why i never got it.
was i just empty all the time?
even though i remember in great detail why my depression was so bad back then, back before i met you, i guess these happy years with everyone have slowly washed away that feeling. i felt so horrible for so long, and i didn’t care to ever try and get better because there was no point back then, but for some reason whenever i try to think of what was there in my life that i had like this, it’s almost numbed away from my memories. it’s like a bad nightmare that got washed away with the morning light.
that’s not to say i’m not thankful and glad i’m doing better now. sure, i’m still working things out, but who isn’t? i don’t think i wouldn’t have ever actually gotten help if it wasn’t for you, though. you’re really the only person who's ever seen me so clearly. i love how i don’t even have to tell you if something is wrong anymore, you just look at me and know. did you know that i’ve never had anyone take the time to notice the small difference between my genuine smile versus my resting and permanent one? the day you pointed that out to me was the day i realized i liked you.
i also thought it would take me a while to realize when i liked someone seriously. i think the last time i ever had a crush was… actually, i can’t remember. in the movies and books, it’s always the same scenario of ‘i like you but i haven’t liked anyone before so i don’t realize i like you until it’s too late’ but that wasn’t the case. i knew the moment i liked you.
it was this odd twinge in me that just kinda sprung throughout my bones. i think it’s the same equivalent of getting butterflies in your stomach, but without a stomach. i noticed your looks before, and i guess this sounds weird to say, but it was like after so long of friendship that i actually… noticed you.
you looked so beautiful, and you still do.
the shock at work and from other people was really funny when they found out we were dating. i don’t think they ever actually thought i’d find someone to settle down with. our friends knew better though. as shocked as our friends tried to act, it was pretty obvious that they were expecting it. i can’t believe it was that obvious that we liked each other.
there’s no big resolution to writing this. i just felt like writing it so that i could share the feelings i feel about you but that i forget to say when we are around each other. it’s not like i can get a single word in with how much you smooch on me though. not that i mind.
it’s not to say that if my puns ever get too much for you, or if you decide that i’m too lazy and you feel like you can’t leave, you can. i just really don’t want you to. i have a strong feeling that you don’t ever want to leave either.
i can’t wait to see how the rest of our lives turn out together. when we move in, get married, and just enjoy each other’s time. i know it’s crazy to hear from me, but i can’t wait to do the dishes with you and put away the laundry as you fold it. i can’t wait to enjoy your company every day one day. i know it’s a bit selfish, but i hope that things stay like this forever.
i hope that you get to read this one day, and in case i don’t tell you enough, i love you.

Helloooooo
I'm newer to your page ive been slowly reading your amazing stories.. are you still doing your prompt list stories?? I seen 3 that could work.. 40,42 and 43.. and it made me think or something possibly like this..
Eddie and (maybe plus sized) reader have been together for a while.. she sees a pretty girl/groupie flirting with him after the show (but she doesn't see him walking away from her or telling her that hes taken/not interested.. Reader just gets feral when they get home.. not realizing she's ovulating or something.. and just like gets her frustration out by begging Eddie to claim her fully or something..
sorry my brain has been all over the place.. I just can't get enough of him amd some stories have brought out some sides of me that i didnt know i had haha)
Hope that made sense.. I have a hard time getting what I have in my brain out.. which is why I don't write haha
Hello, lovely! Welcome! Thanks for the request!
Not proofread!
Eddie x fem!shy!plus size!reader
cw: MDNI 18+, smut (p in v), unprotected sex, fingering (f receiving) oral (f receiving), mention of pregnancy
Ever since you and Eddie had gotten together, he had made your relationship his entire personality. He would mention you every chance he got, letting everyone know that he was a taken man and that he was very lucky to have you. Whether it was in an interview, he talking about one of the many songs he had written about you, or introducing you to someone, it didn’t matter. He was so obsessed with you and had to let everyone know just how much he loved you.
Amongst his many nicknames for you, “my girl” was by far his favorite. He used it so often, so much love behind the words that it was clear to everyone that he was head over heels for you. He’d even go as far as singing the song to you while you made breakfast together, spinning you around the kitchen as the lyrics fell from his lips.
“This? Oh, my girl got it for me.”
“The next song is about my girl. I hope you enjoy it.”
“Everyone, I’d like you to meet my girl.”
You were his favorite topic of conversation to the point where it seemed that everyone knew that he was taken just by how much he brought you up in conversation, often unprompted. And anyone who didn’t know or did and flirted with him anyway, he would shut them down so quickly once he realized what was happening. He already had the best thing and wouldn’t have dreamed of ruining it.
You entered the concert venue as everyone was packing things up for the night. Corroded Coffin had just finished a show which you hadn’t been able to get to until after your shift at the bar down the street. You felt horrible for missing it even though Eddie had insisted that it was okay. He just appreciated that you were going to be there at all with your very busy schedule.
You were let in through the back doors and made your way down the hallway to find the all too familiar mop of hair. He was usually waiting right by the door for you, but he wasn’t there. You were starting to panic, but tried to calm yourself down, telling yourself that maybe he was in the bathroom or grabbing his belongings.
You looked all around the building until you spotted him outside his dressing room…talking to a girl. She was beautiful and she was making him laugh. She reached up and touched his hair and instead of stepping in like you knew you should have, you just turned on your heel to leave. You couldn’t watch another second.
What you hadn’t seen when you turned your back was Eddie removing the girls hand from his hair before dropping it. Now he understood what was happening. He took a step back from her until his back almost hit the door.
The thing about Eddie was that sometimes he wasn’t even aware that he was being flirted with. That was something that he still wasn’t used to after years in the industry because of the treatment he had received back home. He just thought they were being friendly until the touches came into play and that was always telltale sign. And then he’d let them down easy, not wanting to hurt their feelings, letting them know that his girl was waiting for him back home.
“Oh,” his eyes widened. “I’m so sorry. I have a girlfriend.” The girls face fell and she almost seemed disgusted by the fact that he was in a relationship.
“Oh,” she pouted. He always felt bad, letting the girls down, but he knew that one of his band mates would be happy to take them off his hands.
“But you know what? I heard that Gareth is looking for someone to take home, if you’re interested,” he winked and her face lit up again.
“Really?”
“Really,” Eddie nodded and opened the dressing room door where the other members of the band were hanging out. “Go get ‘em.”
The girl entered the room and Eddie let out a sigh of relief before turning to his left only to see you turning the corner. He didn’t know where you were going. You always waited for him so he didn’t understand why you were walking away.
He took off, racing after you so he could catch up. He almost tripped a few times, but he got to you, draping an arm over your shoulder as he fell into step with you.
“There’s my girl,” he let out a contented sigh before pressing a kiss to your temple. He tucked you into his side but couldn’t help but notice that you weren’t grabbing a hold of him like you usually did. You always had to be touching him so something was clearly off.
“Nothing to say, hm?” he asked, his lips still pressed to your skin. You weren’t usually talkative after work because you were usually overstimulated, but you would normally at last give him some sort of greeting.
Had he forgotten an important event? Maybe your birthday? No, that had already passed. Maybe your anniversary? No, that wasn’t until next month. Whatever it was, he definitely needed to apologize.
You and Eddie didn’t fight often, but when you did, it didn’t take very long for you both to make up. He was normally the first to apologize, hating to see the angry look on your face. He just wanted to make everything right so you could cuddle up in your bed. He just wanted you to be happy and hated when he was the one to be the cause of your unhappiness.
But he wanted to wait until you brought up what was bothering you. He never wanted to pry and hoped that you knew that he was willing to listen to whatever was going on in your head, no matter how ridiculous it seemed.
So, you spent the whole walk to his van and the whole ride home talking about your nights. He listened to you tell him about what happened at the bar and he told you how great the show went, not leaving out any detail.
It almost seemed like a normal night except for the obvious tension between the two of you. Neither one of you were going to be the first to bring it up, so it sat between you, like a jack in the box and you both were afraid to crank it first, not wanting to see the thing pop up.
Eddie rested his hand on your thigh like he normally did and even thought you were upset with him, you weren’t going to deny his affection. You loved the way his rough skin felt on yours and you felt like you needed him to show you just how much he wanted you.
You wanted him compliment you as he pounded into you, causing you to let out countless moans. You wanted to feel his lips everywhere. Your neck, your tits, your pussy. You just needed his head between your thighs so badly that you were getting wet just thinking about it.
Eddie pulled up to the house that you shared and was quick to help you out of the van, still keeping a hold of your hand as he opened the garage door. You pulled your hand out of his as soon as the door was open and headed inside.
He needed to beg if he wanted to get lucky. Not that it would take much for you to give in. You would have done anything he told you just by him flashing his million dollar smile, his dark brown eyes shining.
Eddie followed you into the house and up the stairs, noticing how loudly you were stomping as you took each step. He usually liked pissing you off just to get the reaction he liked, but never to this level. He had really fucked up and he didn’t even know what he had done.
You got to your shared room and slammed the door once you were inside. Eddie winced at the sound and decided that he finally had enough. He had to get to the bottom of the problem.
“Alright.” He opened the door, not even bothering to close it. He couldn’t go any longer without knowing why you were so pissed at him. “What’s on your mind?”
How could he not know? He was laughing with another girl then acted like it was nothing? Maybe he wasn’t into you as much as you thought. Maybe what you had wasn’t as special as you had assumed. Maybe this was just the beginning of the end.
“Nothing, Eddie. Let’s just go to bed.” You really weren’t in the mood to start another fight with him.
“No, we’re gonna talk about this.” He put his hands on his hips. Wayne always told him to never go to bed angry and he intended on sticking to that advice.
“Fine, you wanna know what’s wrong?” You crossed your arms over your chest.
“Tell me, angel,” he stepped forward. “Please.”
“I saw you with her.” His eyebrows furrowed, trying to figure out who you could have been talking about.
“With who?” He had no idea what you were referring to and just wanted you to come out and say it.
“The groupie outside your dressing room.” Oh. He had completely forgotten about her as soon as she entered the dressing room. He couldn’t believe you were jealous of her. You were always the only girl on his mind.
“You’re jealous,” he chuckled and you just scoffed. You couldn’t believe that he was laughing at your pain.
“So what if am?” He wasn’t expecting you to admit it so easily, but he appreciated the honesty.
“There’s no need to be jealous, honey,” he rested his hands on your shoulders, giving them a reassuring squeeze. “You’re the one I love, remember?”
He had always said the word so easily, so matter-of-fact, as if he was telling you the weather forecast.
“You love me.” You crossed your arms over your chest, needing a little more than that to be convinced.
“Of course I do.” He gave your shoulders another squeeze before sliding his hands down to yours, holding them.
“Prove it.” You raised an eyebrow, challenging him. You wanted proof, needed it in fact.
“What?” He let out a scoff at your words. It wasn’t like you to have so much confidence in your words. You were usually so shy and quiet, but he liked seeing this new side of you.
“Prove it,” you repeated and he just let out another chuckle.
“How am I supposed to do that?” He stopped laughing once he saw you weren’t joking. You meant what you said, but he was going to do whatever you asked. He just wanted you to not be upset with him anymore. He needed to see your pretty smile.
“Beg.” Your eyes darkened as you spoke and Eddie’s widened at how authoritative you had become. You were so hot like this.
“Beg?”
“Beg,” you removed one of your hands from his and pointed to the floor. “On your knees.” He didn’t know why he was finding your bossy behavior so hot, but his dick was definitely hardening.
Eddie lowered himself to the floor, your hands still in his. He looked up at you and you loved seeing him from that point of view. He looked so small unlike his usual tall stature.
“I love you so much, angel,” he said, bringing your hands up to his lips. “So so much. You’re my girl and I’d never even think about cheating on you. You have no reason to be jealous, I swear.”
He grabbed a hold of your waist, burying his face into your stomach. Your hands found their way into his hair, giving his scalp a scratch. You figured he had suffered enough, but just needed one more thing.
“I’m so sorry. I wish you had told me how you were feeling sooner so I could reassure you.”
“I know how you could reassure me.” You were trying to sound flirty, but weren’t sure if you were doing it right. Flirting was always Eddie’s thing.
“How?” He asked, pulling back to look up at you.
“I need you.” Eddie was quick to stand up, trying to understand what you mean.
“I’m right here, honey.” He pulled you into his arms, giving you a tight hug. His hand rubbed your back in a comforting manner and normally, you would have taken that, but not tonight. You needed more. You needed to feel his skin against yours. His cock inside you.
“No, Eddie. I need you.” Your eyes darkened again and he was finally catching on to what you were meaning.
“Oh,” he let out a laugh. “That was all you had to say.” He hands wrapped around your waist and he pulled you into a kiss, capturing your bottom lip between his two. He took no time to lick into your mouth while his hands reached for the bottom of your shirt. He pulled it up over your head and let it fall to the floor.
You unbuttoned his shirt and threw it behind you before attaching your lips to his, taking no time to plunge your tongue into his mouth. You backed him up to the bed and pushed him down onto it before straddling his waist.
“You’re so hot,” he breathed as your lips moved down to his neck, giving it a suck before moving back up to his mouth.
“You’re hotter.” Eddie quickly flipped you over so you were the one on the mattress and you let out a gasp at the sudden movement. He straddled your waist and pinned your wrists to the bed before going straight for your shoulder.
“No, baby. You’re the hottest. Your body is fucking killer.” Eddie loved your body. You weren’t skinny by any means, but that just gave him more love on. He loved pressing kisses to every inch of skin he could find, loving to give special attention to your stretch marks. He thought they were cute and that they made you unique.
“You think so?”
“I know so, honey,” he pulled back to look at you. “Want me to show you?” His face lit up as he said the words and it made you even more wet knowing that he was so happy to show you just how much he liked your body.
“Please,” you whined and he kissed his way down to your chest, pressing a kiss right in the center of it, right above the middle of your bra. “Take it off,” you commanded.
He pressed another kiss to the skin and moved his hands behind your back, unhooking it as slowly as he possibly could. He could hear your sighs of frustration and tried to hold back his chuckle. He very slowly undid each hook and removed the bra completely, letting it clatter to the floor beside the bed.
Eddie then pinned you back down to the mattress and looked down at you with a devilish grin. He was always such a fucking tease.
“You’re even hotter than I remember,” he complimented as he stared down at your tits.
“I got hotter just from last night?”
“Sure did. Now hush, honey. I’m about to do my best work.” He moved one of his hands to your nipple, massaging it with the pad of his thumb, just enough for to make it hard before he brought his mouth to it. He licked a stripe across it before giving it a suck.
“Oh,” you let out a moan and he took that as an invitation to bring it between his teeth giving it a little nibble. “Oh, Eddie.”
He did the exact same thing to the other nipple, eliciting more pretty sounds from you and he was eating it up. He loved that only he could get that reaction from you.
Eddie kissed his way down your stomach and stopped once he got to your waist. He pressed a featherlight peck to each of your stretch marks before looking up at you.
“Can I remove-“
“Yes,” you cut him off, getting desperate for him to get it over with.
“Needy,” he chuckled.
“And you’re a tease. I need your mouth on my clit.” You couldn’t take it anymore.
“Whatever the princess wants, the princess gets.” He unbuttoned your pants and pulled them off of you in one quick more before letting them fall to the floor in a messy pile behind him. He then reached for your underwear and slid them off before tossing them behind him. He lowered himself onto his knees then spread your legs and let out a whistle as he got a look at your pussy.
“Already wet for me, hm?” His fingers lightly grazed your cunt and you gave him that look that he knew all too well. You hated when he messed with you like this, but he did it just to see that angry look in your eyes. It never failed to make him hard.
“I think we both know the answer to that.” Eddie liked you best when you were like that, all angry and bothered.
“Wow, doll,” his fingers stayed where they are, moving back and forth so you got a little sensation but not the full thing. Eddie liked it when you begged. “That just might be a record.”
“Stop fucking around.” You usually liked the little games he liked to play, but not tonight.
“Someone’s eager,” he teased with a smirk and you were honestly on the verge of pleasuring yourself since he was taking too long. This was always how it went so you didn’t know why you ever expected anything different.
“Of course I’m eager, I’m-” your words were cut off when Eddie thrusted his fingers into your pussy. “Oh.”
“That’s right, doll.” His fingers pumped in and out, causing you to let out a moan.
“Eddie,” you whined and he just smirked.
“Say my name, honey.” He continued, thrusting them harder and faster as you let out another moan, grasping as the bedding underneath you, needing something to grab onto.
“Need your mouth, Eds,” you mewled and he removed his fingers before draping your legs over his shoulders. He pressed a kiss to each thigh before diving into your pussy and you let out a gasp. He licked a stripe from your slit to your clit before shoving it into your pussy, swirling it around as your hands dug further into the bedding.
You let out a loud moan and Eddie only buried his face further into your cunt, grazing the thing with his teeth and that drove you wild. You almost screamed at the sensation and Eddie did it once more to hear the sound again. Your thighs tightened at the feeling, causing them the press against the side of his head and he spread them, removing himself from your cunt.
You let out a whine at his absence and he ripped off his pants, desperate to be inside you. He moved to his bedside table and reached for his box of condoms, only to find that it was empty.
“I’m okay with it if you are,” you told him, seeing what the issue was. And you were okay with it. You suddenly liked the idea of feeling his bare cock inside of you.
“You’re sure? What about-“
“If I get pregnant, I get pregnant,” you shrugged. The two of you had talked about having a baby and even discussed trying, but he didn’t think it would be so soon. He couldn’t have been more happy, though. He loved the idea of having a baby that was a product of the two of you making love to each other.
“You want to have a baby with me?” His face lit up. Sure, being a rockstar was cool, but he was convinced that being a father and husband were the roles he was convinced he was put on this earth for.
“I’d be honored to have a baby with you, Eds.” You didn’t know why he was asking since you had talked about it at length.
“Well, there’s no time like the present,” he smiled, ripping off his underwear. He lined himself up with your pussy and slowly slid his dick into you. You let out a small noise as the sensation. You never had unprotected sex before so it felt a little odd at first, but you had to admit that you liked the way it felt, that there was no barrier between his cock and your pussy.
Eddie slowly thrusted into you, wanting it to be nice and sweet for once. He wanted this to be a sweet moment between the two of you. Something you’d remember for the rest of your lives.
His hands gripped your hips as he pumped in and out, paying you compliment after compliment, showering you with the sweetest words as he thrusted inside you, assuring you of his love for you.
You let out moan after moan as he pumped into you and you grabbed onto him, pressing your face into his neck. His thrusted a little harder and your fingers dug into his back, but not enough to actually hurt him.
“Taking me so well, honey,” he said, pumping a little faster and harder. He was just testing the waters to see what you liked without the condom.
“Eddie,” was all you were able to say, your words getting slurred as your head leaned back.
“I know, princess,” he brushed some sweaty hair out of your face. “Got one more for me, hon?”
“One more,” you repeated. He gave a couple more thrusts, these ones harder and faster than before and you let out the most pretty moans he had ever heard come from your mouth. He hadn’t thought you’d liked it rough, but he supposed his was wrong.
He pulled out and lowered you to the mattress before cleaning you up and getting you some fresh pajamas from the drawer you had them tucked away in. He helped you change into them then got into his own before getting you both under the covers.
You turned over to face him and you wrapped your arms around each other, tangling your legs together as you did so. He couldn’t keep the smile off his face as he looked at you, the love of his life. God, he was so fucking lucky.
“I love you,” he smiled, bringing one of his hands up to your face and you smiled as well.
“I love you too.” He pressed a soft kiss to your lips in response.
“You’re going to be a great mom.” His thumb rubbed back and forth along your cheek and you closed your eyes, loving the way it felt. You could tell he meant the words, not only because he never said anything he didn’t mean, but also because of the way he looked when he said it, his eyes all soft and sweet.
“And you’re going to be a great dad.” He felt himself tearing up at your words and yours teared up too. He pulled you in for another kiss and the two of you drifted off to sleep, thinking of nothing but cribs and high chairs and the extra bedroom you had that would have made a perfect nursery. Maybe if things went right, you’d actually be parents.

ex boyfriend smut ; 2.1k words | enjoy! <3
I miss you, love.
the text made your stomach lurch, but you knew it was coming. you two had been on and off for longer than you care to admit, about 3 days after to a week and he's back. or you're back. or some weird thing happens that brings you closer to each other. you'd hope the cycle had broken with a new record of 40ish days without talking.
no you don't, c’mon we were doing so well !
typing the made your head sore, so what are you doing texting him back? this never leads to anything but getting back together. then into the same destroying habits that drive you back apart. It was exhausting.
Yes I do. I think about you every fucking day y/n. I miss you.
you stared at the phone, wet lashes blinking for a moment before letting out a soft laugh and joking to yourself. “I’d think about me everyday too..” you stood slowly from your bed, stretching and walking lazily to the bathroom. you stared at the hot water pouring into the shower stall, steam coming back into your face as you picked your brain. maybe it wasn’t a horrible idea, inviting him over. you knew what he wanted as soon as his unsaved but familiar number popped up your screen. he always brought food or bought you food after.. and you were kinda hungry. no harm no foul, huh? you hopped into the shower, letting it run against your skin for a moment. you reached out to your phone, starting some music before messaging him back.
come over <3
before you could change the song and set your phone back down, he had responded.
atta girl.
you rolled your eyes, smiling to yourself as you washed up. not long after, brushing your teeth and putting on some lip gloss. a t-shirt and panties is all you really needed, going to wait for his knock in the living room. you flicked through the music on your tv, the lighting from outside peaking through your blinds to illuminate the sun setting outside. before fully settling into the couch, there's a knock at the door.
you hop up, looking through the peep hole just to make sure out of the 8 billion people it could be it was the one person you wanted. you open the door all the way, watching him stop and utter horror as he saw you standing in your underwear. he lifted you over his shoulder with ease, slamming the door so that no one else were to see you.
“what do you care?” you ask, giggling from his shoulder as he sat two bags onto the floor. you neverminded it, inhaling the new cologne he had on.
“dont start that shit.” he said under his breath, the smell of him came flooding to your nose as he spun to set you back down, hands not being shy about rubbing over your ass as he did so.
“my gorgeous girl..” he mumbled, kissing your forehead, then down the side of your temple to your cheek, then to your lips. something about the kiss was definitely different than most, almost like kissing someone else. you brushed the thought aside, letting your hands intertwine with the back of his hair to pull him closer. it felt like he was almost hesitant to kiss you on your lips, was something wrong? he pulled away for a moment, letting there only be space for words between you two.
“i love you, y/n. i really do fuckin’ miss you..” he spoke in a whisper. you could hardly hear him, feeling him push his now glossy lips back against yours. “workin on it..” he mumbled again, pulling you into his arms greedily as he led you to the arm of the couch just to push you up against it. you smile, giggling in the kiss and wrapping your legs around his waist as you understand what he meant by ‘working on it’.
you pull your lips away, looking down at the hard on in his sweatpants. “you know i love you too handsome..” your hands slide down to his waistband until he stops you, causing you to stop and look him in the eyes.
“no, i mean I'm gonna be your fuckin husband. I love you. i want you to know that I mean it.” he stared at you intently before kissing your cheek, then passionately kissing your lips once more. his comment made you snicker in your head, although you knew how serious he was. you meant it when you said it back, but there are different levels to love. did he really hold you to highest praise like he says he does? if so, why the fuck do you two keep breaking up? you held him tighter, knowing you heard confidence in his voice. maybe he really was serious?
he leans over, lightly pushing you to lay down onto the couch. tongue swirling against your own as rough hands grabbed at your body to pull your chest closer to his. “you smell so fucking good..” he bit into your neck, feeling you jolt into his arms. it made him smirk, feeling you trying to pull him closer as well.
“hun not too v..visable I have work tomorrowww..” you say more as a suggestion than command. he bites a bit harder, pulling away to lift your shirt. he didn't bother lifting it all of the way, putting his head underneath to suck on your soft skin some more. he yanked your hips to his, taking a nipple into his mouth and sucking on it to feel you squirm against his hips. it made you moan, tugging on his hair and smiling through heavy breaths. you grinded against him needily, feeling him reciprocate by humping against your most sensitive parts. he made sure not to be too rough, aiming to grind against your clit slowly. it was about you, he wanted to make that obvious.
"bed, b-bed..please. want y..you in bed.” you whimper, moaning softly and tugging at his hair once more so he'd let up. reluctantly, he pulls away and lifts you back into his arms. he nudges against you as he carries you, snickering at your desperate attempts to grind harder against him as he shuffles his feet a few steps down the hall. he moves the door open with his foot.. the smell of you. he could go on and on about how much he missed it, how much he really truly missed traces of you in his room. he groaned as you kissed down his neck, looking over at your colorful bed sheets before laying you down carefully.
“how do you want it, pretty girl?” he asks, sliding down to his knees and bringing your legs to his shoulders. you look down to see him smiling, trying to decide. you could see hearts in his eyes as he stared at the wet spot in your panties. he kissed up your thighs, looping a finger around the hem of your panties before sliding them off. he left a small kiss on your clit, pulling your hips to his mouth. “after I taste you, itadakimasu.” he mumbled.
“you fucking nerd-ahh! mmhngh..!" you moan out, feeling his tongue swirl around your clit, sucking on it and latching onto you. your back arching off of the blankets not long after, hands tangling themselves into your sheets to hold onto something. you wrapped your ankles around his head, grinding against his tongue as he guided it up and down against your pretty cunt.
he moaned like a man who hadn't eaten anything good in years, bringing your hips off of the bed and forcing your thighs around his head even tighter. you whined, tugging even harder at his hair as you babbled about how much you missed his touch, it's not like you let anyone else touch you. you were having you time.. until today anyway. he smiled, enjoying your praises as he felt you cum against his tongue for the first time in over a month. he couldn’t get over the taste, or the way you smelled. he buried his face impossibly deeper into your cunt, hoping you’d give him more.
“sw..sweetheart, please.!” you tried to nudge his head away, feeling him cling to you even tighter. you laid your head back onto the mattress, moaning louder and moving to cover your mouth. he looked up at you, giving you a minute to keep your hand over your lips before realizing you weren't going to get the message on looks alone. pulling away with a pop!, slapping your clit a few times. “Nu uh. Let me hear you.”
you whine, moving your hands back into his hair like before as he continues. you squirm in his touch, eyes starting to get watery as he draws a second orgasm from you. you shivered against him, feeling him slowly pull away as you calmed down from your high.
“did you decide how you want me?” he asked, looking at your disheveled hair and ecstasy-ridden eyes. he felt his cock twitch st the sight, staring at your chest rise and fall with deep breaths before you answered. he rested his cheek onto your thigh with a smile.
“fuuuck um.. fuck” you laugh, lifting yourself up on your elbows. “i don’t care.. kinda wanna see you..? if thats okay?” you ask, feeling him move your body towards the pillows to lay your head down properly. he slides off his pants and underwear, chuckling softly. “more than okay.” he swiped over his tip with his thumb, feeling how sore it was from being so hard. andmissingyou.
“c’mere..” you mumble, propped back onto your elbows to look at him once more. you glance down, noticing he didn’t have a condom on. which explains the Walgreens bag. he climbed over top of you, glancing down for a minute before lining up to you. his eyes went back to yours before sliding it in slowly. he sighed in relief, moving to lay his head into your shoulder. he groaned as he fit all the way inside of you. your legs wrap around his waist, squirming as you struggled to take him.
“r..relax sweet pea, you’ll break me..” he mumbles against your pretty skin, moving an arm to lift your leg a bit higher. you moan into his shoulder, biting into his flesh and drawing a half moan half laugh from him. after relaxing enough for him to start moving comfortably, you immediately felt him reach deep into you as your hips grinded against each other. you shut your eyes tightly, moaning and whimpering underneath him as he stared down to watch your wet lashes flicker. you left claw marks down his back, causing him to hide his face in your collarbone before moving faster. “nnnn! ‘ts too muhh.. much!” you whine out, looking up into his eyes just to say “p..please don’t stop!” in the next breaths.
he smiled, kissing your cheek and temple. “f..fuck i love you. my girl, my. girl.” he groaned, slamming into you ever harder. you could feel him hit your cervix repeatedly, causing him to draw a 3rd orgasm from you and for your vision to spot. you feel your eyes well up in tears, kissing him sloppily as he slowed down ever so slightly. being close himself, chasing after his orgasm. he squeezed your body tightly as he came, arms wrapped around your torso to use you like the toy you were.
you sigh, feeling your thighs begin to shake. you laughed softly under your breath, kissing his cheek as he nudged into you a few more times. he pulled out, watching his cock twitch over your pretty swollen cunt. he swiped some up with his index finger, bringing it to your lips and watching you clean it with no hesitation.
“good girl..” he grinned, kissing your cheek and moving to get a rag. coming back a few seconds later to see you moving to stand. “what are you doing?” he asked, the blue rag dripping in water slightly onto his hand.
“don't you think we should shower?” you lean against the bed, feeling your thighs shake as you held yourself up. you shut your legs, not wanting your mess to drip onto the floor.
“..you sure you can stand in the shower?” he chuckled, walking over to you and lightly moving your legs apart to wipe you off. you let him do what he's doing, leaning back on the bed before mocking him.
“yes i can, thank you.” you commented, watching him tilt his head and look amused at your response. he put his hands up, stepping back.
“after you,” he smiled, watching you struggle to walk straight at first. you glared at him, hearing his giggles in the corner before walking to the bathroom.

Just SoapGhost being healthy and shit. Ghost is open about his problems with intimacy and touch and they work through it.
Ghost sat across from Soap, watching him silently. He was beautiful. Kind. Fierce. Everything he looked for in a partner.
Their date had been perfect. Soap picked a restaurant He thought they’d both like and he’d been a stupid fucking gentleman, even going so far as to request a secluded booth for privacy.
Ghost tapped his fingers against the table, feeling very nervous. This was a first date. He didn’t have to bring this up. But if he waited, it would hurt more for both of them. Especially if Soap couldn’t handle it.
“Johnny.”
Soap paused his chatter to look at him. “Simon. Don’t use your serious voice right now. I got other plans after this! You can’t end the date so soon!”
Ghost smiled at him softly. “No. I don’t want the date to end.” He sat back. “Its something else. I just… don’t want to lead you on.”
Soap frowned. “What do you mean?”
Ghost tapped his fingers for another second, surprisingly having to gain the courage to say this. “If we never had sex, do you think you could handle it?” He refused to look at Soap.
“I… I don't know. I guess I hadn't thought about it. Is it the mask thing? We can find work arounds. I'm okay with whatever makes you comfortable.” Soap reached over and grabbed Ghost’s hand. “Whatever boundaries You need.” It was so sweet. It made it harder for Ghost to push but he knew it wasn’t fair to let Soap have some… misconception.
“Its not the mask. Johnny, I’d take the mask off for you right now if we were alone. I have… issues. Let’s leave it at that for now.”
“Don’t tell me you can’t get it up. I’m just fine topping.” Soap joked, clearly trying to lighten the mood but also make it clear that wouldn’t bother him.
Ghost took Soap’s hand and kissed it softly. “Intimacy. Its the touch. I wish it was that easy. I could pop a fucking pill and ignore it. The mask is part of it, but Johnny, a lot of… horrible things happened to me. And some of them.” Ghost cut himself off at the horrified expression on Soap’s face
“I’m sorry.”
“Don’t be. Trust me I don’t believe you’ll try it or anything. I know you’re not an idiot. But… touch is hard for me. You’re an exception. Usually. But what happens when its more than just your hands? When there’s no clothes between us? No buffers. I’d love to believe I’m fine. That it’ll be easy. But it won’t. I’ll have to initiate things. Put up boundaries.”
Soap was quiet, clearly mulling over his words. “Do you not want to try at all?” It was light. Purposely devoid of tone so Ghost couldn’t detect anything. He hated that Soap could pull that off. For a man so open, it was an unexpected talent.
“I want to try. Just… if i never get there, i don’t want you to have wasted your time.”
Soap softened. “No time with you is wasted.”
Ghost sighed. “You’re so sweet. It’s complicated. I just didn’t want you to go into this thinking it would be easy.”
“Never easy with us, Lt. But I’ll get it figured out.” Soap smiled at him.
~~~
The very first time they properly touched each other was Ghost initiated, just as they talked about. His hand went to Soap’s back as he was talking to someone. They were just getting a bit close and he decided he needed to do something about it.
The moment he was touching Soap’s, the man basically purred and the unwanted pest trying to catch Soap’s attention quickly got the message. Ghost rubbed his thumb in circles as Soap melted into him. When the man left, Ghost gently pulled his hand away, not missing that Soap tried to follow.
~~~
Their first kiss was messy. It was mid mission. And it occurred to Ghost that their situation had suddenly gotten so much dire than expected.
The hood he was wearing, along with the blades, made him look scarier than he was. But not to Soap. Never to Johnny, who kept smiling at him even when everyone else seemed to panic.
Ghost knew he needed to do this. An epiphany of sorts.
“Everyone stare at the damn wall.” He barked and people scrambled. Soap went to as well but he stopped him. Ghost gently turned him towards him and, with as little thinking as he could manage, worried he’d talk himself out of it, he kissed him through the mask. It wasn’t the best. If he could, he would’ve taken it off, but they didn’t have time.
Soap froze in his arms before eagerly pressing back as much as he could. His arms went up to his biceps and he squeezed tight. “What was that for?”
“Just… in case.”
Soap nodded solemnly before grinning wildly. “Let’s go get him.”
That night, when they were done with the mission, Ghost took his mask off and gave Soap a proper kiss. It got no farther, they just kept kissing, hands barely touching each other. Soap’s kept hovering right over Ghost’s shoulders, holding just a hint of apprehension.
Ghost didn’t reassure him.
~~~
Holding hands came after. For some reason. Somehow it was easier for Ghost to kiss rather than touch hands.
Soap’s hand wormed over to him, sitting between them now. His hand just barely brushed against Ghost’s thigh and he jumped so hard he almost rattled the table. Soap went to pull away but Ghost caught him by his wrist, gently tugging him closer until he sat his hand in his lap. Carefully, with the same care taken for defusing a bomb, Ghost tangled their fingers together. Even through his gloves, he could feel his warmth.
It felt uncomfortable. He didn’t want to be touching right now. But like usual, Soap was… better than anyone else. And he could put up for it if it meant Johnny kept smiling like that.
~~~
Sex.
Fuck.
Ghost had… agreed to try. Soap had simply asked him what their plans for the night were when he informed him of this. He had blushed bright red and just nodded.
Ghost was regretting all of this when he actually stood in his own bedroom.
Soap smiled at him reassuringly. “What do you want to keep on? Let’s start there.”
“Everything.”
“Okay. You can just undo your pants for now. And what would you like me to take off?”
Ghost swallowed and thought about it for a minute. “All of it. Take off everything.”
Soap’s breath caught and he slowly started to strip down, maintaining eye contact the entire time. He was gorgeous. Nice, tight body. Broad shoulders and so much tanned skin.
Ghost took a deep breath and slowly let it all out. It was just Johnny. Just him.
“What do you want from me, Si?” Johnny asked softly, his body already happily reacting. Despite what Ghost was seeing as the most awkward encounter of his life, Soap was achingly hard. “I’d do anything for ya. You know that.”
Ghost reached for him, gloves abandoned at the very least. Soap’s body was… very responsive. He jerked and his breathing would catch and just a small brush against his chest had Soap’s nipples hard. His thumb rubbed against one and Soap tried to press into him.
Ghost pushed him on to the bed and gently used his hands to stroke him. He could tell Soap was a little disappointed it was just his hands but he just needed a minute to psych himself up for more. Soap moaned softly as he kept stroking him.
“Feels good, sir. Feels so good.”
Ghost’s head started to swim. He was hard. He could tell physically he was enjoying but mentally, he felt miles away.
There was blood. Had to be. He was bleeding and hurt and someone else was gonna hu-
Soap grabbed his hoodie and pulled him closer. “I love you, Simon.”
Ghost was taken back by that but he pulled up his mask and kissed him. They settled into a rhythm as Ghost continued to stroke him. He grabbed one of Soap’s hands and pulled it under his shirt so Soap could feel his abs. Soap cursed and squeezed him.
“I love you so much. I love you. So much.” Soap promised as he kissed his lips and down his chin. “You’re beautiful.”
Ghost wanted to sob for some reason. But god did he love Soap. He pulled his mask completely off and started to kiss down his chest. Soap’s hands tangled in his hair instead, gently tugging.
Ghost pulled away, feeling his cock strain against his pants. He pinned him down and stroked him faster, finding himself rutting against Soap’s thigh. So good… Fuck so good.
They kissed and tangled themself together further. Soap’s hand found it’s way to his belt he undid it and slipped it off. He reached into Ghost’s pants and as soon as he touched him, all thoughts flew out the window. It was just them.
Ghost didn’t last very long. He was a bit embarrassed so he just focused on Soap. Tentatively, he licked a stripe up Soap’s cock and his lover followed immediately, coming all over his chest. His face was flushed and he bit his lip to keep any sounds in. Ghost could feel how tense he was beneath him as he finished.
“I love you, Johnny.”
He got a short affirmative in response.

Drunken Kisses (angst-ish)
SUMMARY: You, Spencer and Jason had given a bracelet to the police you thought would help link Garret to Alison’s murder the previous day. Today you heard from Spencer that the blood on the bracelet wasn’t Garret’s and his name was cleared. You had a little school girl crush on him back when Ali was alive, not that he even knew you existed. But after Ali went missing, his family left Rosewood. Now that he was back, he was a completely different person and you found yourself falling even harder. You guys have gotten fairly close since he’s been back, but nothing ever came of it.
WARNINGS: age gap, drunk driving, mentions of murder, angst, etc.
Jason DiLaurentis x GN!reader
The bell signaling it was the end of the day rang, and you and Spencer were walking out of AP History together. You and the other liars were all best friends, but Spencer was really the one who got you the best. That’s why you could tell something was up with her, the way her lips had been frozen in a straight line the entire day.
“Spence, what’s on your mind?” You asked, having wondered that question all day.
Spencer sighed, “I just feel horrible, I was the one who told Jason about the bracelet and now Garrett is out of prison because of it. I should’ve never dragged him into this.” Spencer explained sadly.
“Hey, this is not your fault. Okay? You had no idea that bracelet would free Garrett. You were just trying to help.” You assured her. You knew Spencer wasn’t in the blame for this, you just hoped she would see that too.
“Yeah, but all I ended up doing ruining things.” Spencer mumbled, her lips forming into a small frown. You put a comforting hand on her shoulder.
As you walked out of the school you saw Jason running around the block. You noticed the way his hair stuck to his forehead from sweating. You couldn’t but notice how good he looked.
“Jason.” Spencer called out. She walked over to him and you followed closely behind her.
“Hey.” He greeted the both of you, What’s up?”
“I, uh, heard you were gonna be on the basketball courts.” Spencer stated, pointing in the direction they were in.
“Yeah, I was.” He informed, “Pulled myself out of the game.”
“Why?” You asked softly.
“Figured I’d hurt less people running around the block.” He clarified. You looked at him sympathetically. You didn’t exactly have any words that could comfort him in a moment like this, but you would try your best to let him know you were there for him.
“Right. Well that answers my next question.” Spencer says, looking down at her feet.
“Which was?”
“Are you okay?” Spencer asks, her voice genuine. Jason doesn’t say anything, he just looks down at the ground in disappointment.
“I’m so sorry I dragged you into this.” Spencer apologizes, the guilt written all over her face.
“It’s not your fault, Spencer.” He assures, “You didn’t make me walk into that police station.”
“I know, but I thought that—”
“I know. That this piece of jewelry would have ended this. But it didn’t, alright?” He interjected, “Now, instead of being the big hero, I’m back to being the big screw-up.”
“Jason, nobody thinks that.” At least, you didn’t think that. The one thing he never gave up on was trying to find out what happened to his sister, and you admired him for that. You wished he could see what you did sometimes.
“Really? Maybe I should let you pick my father up from the airport.” He objected, his voice filled with frustration. You looked at him sadly, you felt guilty for not being of more help but you knew there wasn’t anything you could do.
“Do your parents think that Garrett is still gulity?” Spencer wondered, “Or do they think that now it’s somebody else?”
“I don’t know what they think. Never have.” He uttered.
“Well what do you think?” You asked.
“I think that I’m done looking for answers around here, that’s what I think. I’m not a detective, and I’m not a lawyer.” He sighed, rubbing his temple.
“Hey, we, uh, met Cece Drake this morning.” Spencer revealed, trying to change the subject. You bit the inside of your cheek, trying to swallow back the emotions you felt coming up from your chest. You knew Cece was his ex and the conversation you’d had with her at the grill made it seem like she was still interested in him. And you wouldn’t blame him if he ever went back to her, she was gorgeous. And it wasn’t like you had a chance with him anyways.
“Did you know that she’s back in town?” Spencer questioned.
“I heard.” Jason nodded his head, looking unphased by the information.
“We didn’t even know that she and Ali were friends.” Spencer explained, “She said that you guys spent an intense summer together.” You could only imagine what she had meant by ‘intense’ and you didn’t really like the idea of it.
“Everything with Cece’s intense.” Jason told them.
“Did it end on a bad note?” Spencer pried.
Jason’s answer was vague, “You could say that.” He muttered. This was a converstaion you chose to stay out of. You knew you were a good liar, but lying to Jason was different. It wasn’t as easy as lying to your family or even your friends. Somehow he always saw right through you, like you were a book waiting to be opened.
“Look, I got to, uh, get home and take a shower.” He said, “I’m gonna be late for his plane.”
“Okay.” Spencer mumbled.
“Bye Jason.” You spoke one last time before he walked away. He sent you a half-hearted smile before continuing his run back down the block.
You and Spencer decided you both desperately needed something to eat, so you went to a little cafe just a block away from the school. You talked for a little about everything going on, and then shortly after Hanna met up with you guys.
“You can’t just block a court order in an afternoon. She needs time.” Spencer said on the phone, but hung up as soon as she saw Hanna walking over to the table.
“But she’ll do it?” Hanna asked, worriedly.
“She’s gonna try.” Spencer promised.
“Try?” Hanna quaked.
“It’s my mom. With her a try is as good as a win.” Spencer assured her.
“Did Aria get in to see Mona?” Spencer asked the blonde.
“I haven’t heard anything yet.” Hanna shrugged. You saw Hanna look over behind your shoulder. You turned your head to see Jason and Mr. DiLaurentis getting out of the car.
“When did Alison’s father get back to Rosewood?” Hanna questioned.
“Today.” You responded, “Do you want me to talk to him?” You asked. Hanna had previously told you about the incident with her and Mr. DiLaurentis. Hanna had told Ali’s mom that she was still alive. Hanna had claimed she saw Alison one day and then she showed up dead the next, making Mr. DiLaurentis completely go off on Hanna.
“Well, maybe you should, Han.” You said, “You’re believing everything that Wilden says. Why don’t you find out yourself?” Now that Garrett was free, Hanna was suspect runner up. Wilden had claimed the blood found on Alison’s bracelet was the same blood type as Hanna’s.
“Cause I can’t.” She objected, “And you know what. You’re right, Spence. Your moms on it so I have nothing to worry about.”
You, Hanna and Spencer sat in silence for a while, until Hanna saw Mr. DiLaurentis coming back out of the building he had previously gone in to. You watched as she made up her mind, she walked over to Mr. DiLaurentis and began a conversation.
You bit at the straw of your drink, anticipating the outcome. “This can go one way… or it can go the complete opposite.” You mumbled, looking to your friend worriedly. Luckily, no scene broke out, Mr. DiLaurentis just got in his car and drove off. You sighed, sinking back into your chair.
It was officially late outside and you and Spencer needed a sleep over. With everything going on, all you wanted to do was cuddle up in bed and watch some sort of romantic film to ease your minds. The car ride was silent as you leaned your head against the cool window. You snapped out of your short state of peace as a car reved it’s engine behind you, you looked through the back window, only for the car to speed right past you, blaring music on full volume. You couldn’t help but notice the side of the car said, “DiLaurentis.”
“Jason.” You said aloud. You and Spencer looked to each other in panic just as the sound of a crash rang through your ears, “Oh my god!” You gasped. Spencer sped up, pulling up behind him. You rushed out of the car as fast as your feet would take you and you looked at him through the open window. He looked miserable.
You open the car door, assessing him for any injuries,”Jase, are you okay?” You ask worriedly. He didn’t say anything, he looked completely dissociated, “Are you drunk?” You questioned. Again, he said nothing. He attempted to get out of the car but you pushed him by his chest so he was back in the drivers seat.
“Stop it! The police, are gonna be here any minute, okay?” You scolded.
“Maybe they’ll lock me up with Garrett. Finally get some justice.” He muttered, angrily.
You sighed frustratedly, “Just move over.” You said.
“What—”
“Jason, just move over!” You snapped.
He was taken back for a moment, “Why?” He asked.
“Because this never happened.” You spoke softly this time. He finally obliged, moving over to the passengers seat. You were about to get in the driver’s seat when Spencer grabbed your arm.
“You don’t have to be the one to do it, it’s my fault he’s in this place anyways.” Spencer said, feeling bad for her friend cleaning up her mess.
“Spence, none of this is your fault. You didn’t ask for any of this. I’ll get him home. Besides, you need to get your own car out of here.” You said, assuring her it was okay.
She pulled you into a hug, “Thank you.” She said, before rushing over to her car and leaving the scene. You sighed, getting into the driver’s seat. You knew you couldn’t take him to his house, you knew that would just give his father another reason to jump down his throat, so you decided to take him to your house. Your family wouldn’t be home so it was the safest option for him.
When you got home, you managed to get Jason out of the car. He was stumbling all over the place, he clearly had drank more than needed. He stopped, and sat down on your porch, leaning his head against the wall. You looked at him simpathetically as you sat down next to him.
“Why the hell would you do that?” You fumed. You understood he was hurting but the way he basically stepped into the arms of death scared the hell out of you.
He turned to face you with a glare, “Do what? Give up? You know what, I’m tired of everyone treating me like I’m clueless.” He snapped back. He was angry, you got that loud and clear. He tried standing up but you grabbed ahold of his arm, pulling him back down.
“Well you’re acting like you are! Jason, I don’t even think you realize how stupid you were tonight. You could’ve died! You scared the absolute hell out of me!” You scolded him. Even if you weren’t together, you wouldn’t want to lose him either way. You considered him one of your best friends.
“God, you sound like my mother.” He muttered, rolling his eyes at you, “You know what? I don’t need your help. I don’t even know why your making a big deal out of this anyways.”
“Because I care about you!” You snapped, standing up from your spot abruptly. His eyes softened at your words. He didn’t understand how you could care about him, so he questioned it.
“Well you shouldn’t. I’m not worth it. My dads made that perfectly clear that he lost the wrong kid.” He sighed, putting his head in his hands.
“Jason, don’t listen to your dad. He doesn’t know what he’s talking about, okay?” You said softly this time, sitting back down next to him, “If anything, he’s the one who’s not worth it. Jason, your a great person. You care about people, whether you like to admit it or not. And you’re smart and patient and you keep putting everyone else before yourself. Do you even realize how much you’ve done for me? After everything that happened with Mona and my family, you were always the one who was there for me. I don’t think I would be where I’m at now if I didn’t have you in my life. So don’t say it should’ve been you and not Ali because I don’t think I would ever recover from that. You deserved to have a better father, but he doesn’t deserve a son like you.” You may have went a little overboard, but you needed him to know that you cared.
Jason didn’t say anything, he just looked completely surprised at your words. Nobody has ever said anything like that to him before, and hearing it come from you was something else entirely. He stared at you with a million emotions running through his eyes. Maybe that was why he couldn’t stop himself from what happened next.
Before you knew it his lips were on yours. It was a hungry kiss, desperate for something he’d been longing for forever. His hands were on your face, pulling you as close as he possibly could. You could taste the alcohol from his mouth, reminding you he was still drunk. You pulled away from the kiss hesitantly and he moved closer to you, not wanting the moment to end.
“Jason, you’re drunk.” You reminded him. As much as you’ve been waiting for that to happen, it wasn’t the right time.
“So?” He breathed out.
“So, you’ll probably regret this in the morning.” You sighed, feeling guilty. You felt like you had taken advantage of him in his drunken state.
“How could I ever regret you?” He questioned, his eyes not leaving you for even a second.
You stood up from the porch, “It’s late and you need lots of sleep and lots of water and in the morning your definitely going to need lots of asprin.” You remarked, brushing off the little bit of sediment from your pants.
You took the key from your pocket and opened the door, Jason stumbled in shortly after. You had absolutely no idea how you were going to him up the stairs. You let him put his arm around your waist, minimizing the amount of times he stumbled up the stairs.
You took him to your room, setting him on your bed. You could see how exhausted and disappointed in himself he looked. He let himself slip up, he had been sober for so long and all he could think was that this was another thing he screwed up.
You could see the tears in his eyes, the ones he wouldn’t let fall. You pushed the hair that was sticking to his forehead away from his face, letting your hand linger on his cheek for a moment, “Everyone falls off eventually, Jason.” You spoke softly, “But you’ll get back on, okay?” You asssured him. He nodded his head.
You slipped your hands in his jacket, helping him pull it off. He then took his shoes off and both fortunately and unfortunately for you, he took his shirt off next. You understood, he was clearly sweaty and overheated from the accident, not to mention the alcohol on top of it. After getting situated, he pratically collapsed on your pillow.
“If you need anything let me know.” You speak in a hushed tone. You just reach the door when he calls out for you.
“Actually, I do need something.” He said.
“Yeah, of course. What can I get you?” You asked.
“Can you stay?” He asked, unhesitantly. You looked into his eyes for any signs of alterier motive, but saw nothing, just the desperate need to not be alone. You thought about it for a moment; for one you knew it wasn’t the best idea, but you also wanted to be able to check on him in the middle of the night.
“Okay.” You say, walking over to him slowly. You pull yourself under the covers next to him, not exactly close but you weren’t exactly a mile away from him either. He fell asleep super fast, the exhaustion taking over him quickly. You turn away, facing the door, trying to fall asleep. Just as you feel sleep creeping on you, you feel arms snake around your body, and legs tangling with your own. You had to admit, you’ve never felt more comfortable then you do now.
It was around 5:00 in the morning and you had expected Jason to be gone. You assumed he would’ve regret what happened and left to spare your feelings, but he didn’t. Instead he was still right next to you, arms wrapped around you tightly with his head pressed against the back of your neck. You squirm in his grasp, trying to free yourself to avoid any awkwardness when he wakes up, but his hold is too strong. Luckily, he subconciously loosens his hold as you manage to carefully get up.
When you stood, you saw him bury his face into your pillow, making you smile. You walk downstairs quietly and enter the kitchen, getting yourself a glass of water. You head over to the couch and grab a book you hadn’t finished reading and open it. You decided to kill some time while you waited for him to wake up.
After a while you heard the creak of the stairs, indicating someone was walking down them. You look over and see Jason walking down while he rubs the sleep from his eyes.
“Hey.” You call out softly. He looks over and sees you sitting on the couch with a book in your hands. His first thought was that he definitely wouldn’t mind waking up to seeing you like that everday if he could.
He walks over and sits next to you. From the awkward look you were giving him, he guessed you were wondering if he remembered anything from last night. He could lie and say he didn’t and things would go back to the way they were, or he could tell the truth and potentially ruin everything you guys had. He was internally debating on which option to pick.
But before he could say anyting, you had already picked for him, “You remember last night, don’t you?” You said as more of a fact that a question.
He looked at you with a defeated look, “Yeah.” He sighed. You took that as a sign he had regret what happened, and you suddenly felt really awkward.
“Look, we can forget that this happened. I know you probably regret what happened—”
“Is that what you think?” He interjects. You were taken back, you hadn’t expected that to be his reaction.
“I mean, yeah.” You say. You were almost positive he had regret last night, so when he kissed you. Again. You were suprised to say the least. He took the book from your hands, tossing it onto the table. He put one of his hands on your stomach, pushing you down so that you were lying down. He hovered over you, though his lips never left yours.
“Does it look like I regret anything that happened last night?” He asked, his voice lower than before, making you shiver. You shook your head slowly, keeping your eyes on him the entire time he spoke to you.
“Well, maybe you need to do some rethinking then.” He spoke, before placing his lips back on yours.

Broken Bonds-Part 12
Former(ish) Greg "Mouse" Gerwitz x Reader, BabyDaddy! Jay Halstead x Reader
When you get hurt by Jay innocently saying something he begins to worry about you holding too much in with it being weeks until your delivery. With no other idea he reaches out to Mouse hoping a call would help you
Warnings: the usual (We meet Miss Adeline Halstead in the next part)
You were half asleep when Jay’s light laughter hit your ears. You cracked your eyes open and glared at him “What are you laughing at Halstead?” He was already dressed which considering he had to go home to get clothes for the day that wasn’t really a surprise. You’d been meaning to talk to him about the whole staying the night together after Addy was born, thing. Once she was here and the two of you were adjusted to being parents he wouldn’t feel the need to be at your side.
You didn’t want to think about your baby not being under the same roof as you every night but from what you’d been told by a few women you knew with kids it may be a welcome breath to stave off guilt of needing alone time if she was staying with her father a few nights a week. Besides, you’d trusted Jay with your life for years. You knew he loved Addy with everything he had and was still yet to meet her. Nothing would happen to her without it happening to him first. You had no doubt in his capabilities to protect your daughter.
He motioned to your stomach with a broad grin “Any time I say anything her entire foot presses against your stomach. I was on the phone with Will and looked over” you glanced down and could trace the outprint of Addy’s entire foot even through the camisole you’d worn to bed “Yeah yeah yeah. Keep rubbing it in that you’re gonna be a daddy’s girl kid. I’m doing all the grunt work to get you here. He had the easy part” He raised an eyebrow and you knew exactly what he was thinking so you snatched a pillow and tossed it at him “You need to go out to Mollys and get laid ya pervert”
He shook his head “My luck? I’d be with some chic and your water would break” you started to push yourself up and he was at your side, supporting your arms without a word being passed. You glared at him once you had your feet on the floor “You do remember my sister is a firefighter trained to work the ambulance as well, plus my firefighter brother in law. Oh yeah and your doctor brother! All three of which would come running plus I could put a call out for a rig to my address and have half of the precinct here to render aid in a breath”
He still had his hands on your arms up until you were fully standing and started towards the dresser to find clothes, only then did he let them drop. “I know but it’s been this long. Why not wait a little longer, if I wanna go out after she’s born then I can” You shook your head “Men give me a headache” you found clothes that would be presentable for work then headed to the bathroom adding “And a backache, feet ache, kidneys hurt, hips hurt”
You heard Jay’s laughter before you closed the door along with a muttered “Sorry?” and laughed lightly. The countdown was on for little miss Adeline to make her debut. You just had to maintain your sanity in the meantime.
By the time you got out of the bathroom Jay was waiting in the living room with your jacket, phone and bag next to him where he was propped up on the arm of the couch. “I can drive myself Jay” you reminded him and he shrugged “But can you? Because the last time I checked you were having a hard time fitting behind the wheel and that was like a week ago and I’m fairly certain she’s gotten bigger since then”
“JAY HALSTEAD!” you gasped and his eyes widened “What?” “As if I wasn’t feeling horrible enough, what with my hips aching, my back hurting, feet swollen..now the father of my child just told me I am too damn big to fit in my fucking jeep?” you weren’t sure why it was bothering you so much, you knew deep down he hadn’t meant it like that but it was like all of your emotions were just on the edge of your skin waiting to boil over.
He practically jumped up off the couch, hands wide in front of him like when he was trying to talk someone down in the field “I did not say anything like that sweetheart. I said our daughter had gotten bigger, that was all. For her safety and for yours I think it’s best for me to drive you, that is all. I can get Stel to come drive you or-or Kev but I didn't mean to hurt your feelings here” that made you feel horrible, him apologizing. You nodded weakly “I know Jay, fuck I know..I’m sorry..just please forget it”
He stared at you for a minute then took a step closer “Are you ok Y/N? Dr Asher did say the closer the due date got the worse the hormones would get and we’re like three to five weeks here” You shook your head “Jay, please I’m fine. I don’t need you worrying about me any worse than you already do” if anything you would be grateful when her due date finally got here for the simple fact all of his worry could shift to her.
He shook his head before finally covering the rest of the distance to slip his arms around you, pulling you gently against his chest. “Hey, you’re dealing with a lot of crap pumping through your system. It’s ok for it to make you a little nutty, I caused it so I can handle it” you laughed lightly “You’re a damn good man Jay” he pulled back far enough to shoot you a grin “Glad you think so at least. Makes me look good to my baby girl if her mama at least likes me”
You shoved his chest with a full laugh that time “Oh you asshole. Don’t act like I haven’t laid my life on the line for yours half a dozen times” He grinned and let a hand come to rest on your stomach “And I’ve done the same for you and look what keeping each other alive got us” “Well that and some bourbon but she doesn’t need to know that part” you added with a smirk which caused his grin to deeper “Not till she’s at least twenty”
You pulled away from him and reached for your jacket “Ok, one pregnancy meltdown later. You still need to run by your place for fresh clothes so lets get a move on” “Yes ma’am”
After that morning Jay made sure to keep Adam away from you, enlisting Hailey’s help considering she’d taken it upon herself to some days even back him down if you asked it of her. While Adam would never purposely say anything to hurt your feelings he had a habit of speaking before thinking and he really didn’t want to walk around the corner to you launching a coffee mug at his head.
Kevin was keeping close to you like always, even though he’d pretty much gotten the hang of everything you knew. Platt had cut your hours down to half days to prepare you for maternity leave because she knew if you went from sixty to zero it would drive you insane. Stella was off so she was picking you up to spend the rest of the day together as soon as your hours hit. Jay was glad of that. He was worried that everything going on inside of your head was going to pile up a little too much.
He’d read up on postpartum depression at Dr Asher and Dr Charles’ suggestions. After everything you’d dealt with on the job that was a worry because you were used to a constant and for at least a little while after having her you’d be forced to let your body heal and take it slow building yourself back up when it came to everything from boxing to getting back to work. He refused to miss any signs and leave you struggling alone.
He was going over a few reports he had to finish up, left hand fiddling with the st michael pendant around his neck as he worked. He hadn’t talked to Mouse again but he had hoped he’d call. You were close enough now that if you wanted to talk to him it shouldn’t stress your body and he knew you did. Every time he mentioned him he could see it in your eyes, not to mention that you had photos of you and Mouse in your place now even though he’d never even stepped foot in it.
You had photos of the rest of your family of course, Stella and Kelly’s wedding, some of community days where you volunteered with Kevin, there were even a few of himself, Adam, Kim and Hailey. You even still had a photo of Erin, Al and Nadia. You loved fiercely, whether platonically or romantically. If you loved someone you loved them.
He let out a huff of air and Hailey cut her eyes up “What’s wrong Jay?” he shook his head “I hate doing reports” she laughed lightly “No one likes doing reports, that’s why they always pile up. You seem like something else is on your mind besides work” he shrugged, scrubbing a hand across his face “I’m worried about her Hailey” she raised an eyebrow and he knew he was skating on thin ice.
“I’m not going to go annoy her so settle down ya little guard dog” she grinned victoriously at him before saying “What are you worried about?” he shrugged “Closer the due date gets it’s like the more on edge she gets. I asked Dr Asher and she says it’s normal nerves but I just don’t want her to try to handle too much herself and it end up being too much”
“I trust her to let someone know if anything gets to be too much, if not for herself she would for Adeline. Jay, she loves your little girl and if she thinks it’s something that would affect her she’d let you help shoulder it. Maybe it’s just something she needs to deal with herself and if and when she needs to tag in help she will” he nodded slowly because he knew Hailey was right. If you had the slightest inclination anything could possibly affect Addy you’d tell him.
“Maybe I’m just more on edge the closer it gets?” he mused and she laughed lightly “Maybe?” he cut his eyes up at her and she grinned before pointing to her own computer “So many reports to do, better get back to work”
Jay shook his head at her but decided to attempt at emailing Mouse: If you get a chance and still want to talk to Y/N it should be close enough now that it shouldn’t stress her body any. She wants to talk to you man, she hasn’t said it but I can see it.
Hope you’re safe, Jay
After that he went back to work. Stella would be there within the hour to pick you up so he knew he wouldn’t have to worry about you the rest of the day.
You were in the tech room with Kevin, watching as he went through the programs you’d taught him. “They grow up so fast” you teased and he looked over his shoulder at you with a grin “Yeah yeah yeah”
Addy was kicking so hard your stomach looked like it had waves going on. She was quickly running out of room so it seemed. You heard someone whistling and grinned before Stella’s head popped into the room “Pregnant sister taxi service?” You laughed holding your hand up slightly “Yes ma’am that would be me that called”
She walked over to you and offered a hand up, which you took before grabbing your things. Kevin watched you carefully before cutting his eyes at your stomach. You nodded so he tapped his first two fingers against it “Be good Ads. Stay cookin for a little longer and we’ll see you soon”
You laughed lightly “Love ya Kev. See you later” “See ya later Kidd. Love ya” Stella winked at him “Guard duty is over Atwater, I’ll sign her back over to you tomorrow”
You followed Stella outside and she stopped just shy of her jeep “Should we tell Jay?” you shook your head “I’ll just text him. I am not walking back in there just for him to feel the need to walk us back out” “Good point” she laughed.
After you were in her jeep and buckled up you shot Jay a text that read Rollin out with Stel before she got out of the parking lot he’d text back Copy that. Call if I’m needed you shook your head at the text and Stella cut her eyes at you “Something wrong?” “No, I’ll just be glad when she’s born so Jay won’t feel the need to worry about me” you explained and she scoffed “Oh honey, you think he’ll worry less about you?”
“Yeah? I won’t be carrying the precious cargo anymore” you reasoned and she shook her head “You’ve been his partner for years, you’re one of his best friends, the mother of his child, kinda his other half..” at your look she added “I don’t mean that weird I mean that you two have been like this ride or die thing. Always stressing me and Voight from your self sacrificing hero complexes. He’s still gonna worry because then he has to face the most important person to him and explain why he didn’t protect one of the most important people to her”
“Oh” you breathed and she nodded “Yeah, oh. Think of it honey. How would you feel if something happened to him?” you cut your eyes at her and she waved a hand around the jeep “My point! Now, have you talked to Mouse? Do I still like him? I wanna still like him but if you don’t want me to I won’t” you laughed at her facial expressions alone before saying “No, Jay talked to him about a week or so ago now”
She cut her eyes from the road to look at you before turning them back to the road “And?” you blinked a few times to prevent any tears from threatening to spill “I overheard him telling Jay that he wished he could move on from me and find someone new, that he’d tried” her eyes widened “Are you ok?” you nodded, wiping at tears that had managed to spill “He couldn’t. He told Jay that no matter where he was or who he was talking to he couldn’t stop thinking of me, that he still loves me”
She reached over and squeezed your hand “He told me three years ago he’d love you until his last breath, guess he really did mean it” you nodded, more tears spilling “I don’t deserve it Stel. I don’t deserve Jay either. The man won’t date. I know for a fact he hasn’t had sex since Addy was conceived because I bluntly asked him one night. How the fuck am I worth one man putting his life on hold to take care of me while I’m pregnant even if our interactions are pretty much platonic and another man being in the middle of a war zone and finding out I got pregnant by his best friend and telling me he loves me before the end of the zoom call?”
She pulled over and parked the jeep before turning to face you, pulling you into her arm as much as she could without your stomach brushing against the console “Why is this settling on you now?” you ran a hand over your stomach “I don’t know what type of mom I can be when I’m doubting what type of woman I am”
Her face hardened slightly as she took both of your hands in one of hers, the other cupping your chin to make you look at her “You are a woman who has seen horrible things and still chooses to fight for what she knows is right. You are a woman who has stepped in front of a loaded gun to protect an innocent person more than once. You are a woman who would go to literal war for a stranger and walk through hell itself for someone you love because when you love you love wholeheartedly and so damn fiercely. Now as for Jay Halstead and Greg Gerwitz? Jay sees that while the circumstance was less than ideal that he got his friend pregnant and he acknowledged that the best way to handle this for his and your own mental health was together. I for one am glad he has stepped up like he has. I know that no matter where life takes you and him, he will always be in your corner and willing to protect you and my niece. As for Greg? That man worshiped the ground you walked on from the moment he laid eyes on you, I truly believe that. I met him, what a couple days after he came to work with the unit? He was already looking at you like you hung the damn moon itself. He didn’t try to date you, he set out to be your friend and that was what made me like him. I saw him at Mollys a time or two while you were talking to a different guy and the poor guy would break my heart looking at him but the moment your attention would land on him you’d never be able to tell anything was wrong. When you gave him a chance he looked like someone offered him everything, he drug himself back from addiction and PTSD but you baby girl, you breathed life back into him. I guess my damn point is you, my amazing little sister are a fucking wonder woman and will be an amazing mother”
If you weren’t crying before you were nearly sobbing by the time she was through. “Thank you Stel” you whispered as she pulled you over for a hug “Anytime you need a pep talk. You know where to find me” she touched your ring on your right hand then her own “I’m always gonna be right there for you”
“Can we have lunch now?” you asked and she laughed “Of course” before running a hand over your stomach where the outline of Addy’s foot was showing “Let me find my girls some food”
“Look at it! It’s so cute!” Stella was currently gushing over a stack of onesies her and Kelly had brought for Adeline. They were all varying degrees of firefighter. Some had dalmatians and fire trucks. Some had that her aunt was her favorite firefighter, some her uncle. You picked up one that said “Little Hero” with a fire truck and firefighter uniform and raised your eyebrows “Both of her parents are detectives” she snatched the onesie back and continued folding the stack before teasing “Someone has to give her some taste, might as well be me”
You shook your head but laughed. The fact that between the unit, Stella and Kelly, and Will they were fully having a competition to see which branch was better represented for Addy. You found it unbelievably adorable. The two of you had gone to lunch, checked out a few stores and Kelly dropped off dinner on his way home from work.
You poked at the food in front of you as she asked “Is Jay staying with you tonight or at home?” you shrugged “I don’t know. He needed to do laundry, which really was just folding and putting clothes away but still” “Do you want him to?” she asked and you cut your eyes at her “What do you mean?” she shrugged “Have you gotten used to him being here?” “A little” you answered honestly and she nodded “What are you gonna do after Addy is born? And after Addy is six months old?”
You shrugged “I don’t know. After she’s born we can have a schedule of where she’s staying so neither of us has to go long without being under the same roof as her” “And when she’s six months?” Stella asked and you opened your mouth to answer about the time your phone rang.
She leaned up and grabbed it off the table to hand it to you. You expected Jay, maybe Kevin but you honestly didn’t recognize the number. You showed her then answered with a tense “Hello?” There was a moment of static then that achingly familiar voice “Hey sweetheart, I hear you want to talk to me” you covered your mouth to hide the little squeak of surprise and her eyes widened as she mouthed “who is it?”
You shook your head and took a deep breath before saying “I honestly thought I wouldn’t hear from you again until you were stateside” he took a staggered breath and you knew he was bracing himself, he was trying to hold his emotions “I didn’t want to risk putting any stress on you. Jay said you were far enough” you blinked back tears “Yeah, I’m getting near the end”
He laughed lightly “Bet she’s gonna be beautiful, look at her mother” Stella had figured out who it was and moved to wrap her arms around you. “I just hope she’s smarter, ya know” you spoke weakly and heard him inhale sharply before he said your name lightly “Yeah Greg?” you asked and he took a few deep breaths “You are smart, I heard you pulled my move on an agent a while back” you laughed at the memory “Yeah, he was doubting me being there, Took me a little longer than you though but still took under fifteen seconds” “That’s my girl” his voice was low, barely above a whisper but those words coming from him? They made your heart ache.
You both started to talk at the same time so he laughed “Ladies first sweetheart” you scrubbed a hand down your face “I’m sorry for everything that’s caused you pain. You have to believe me nor Jay would ever hurt you. I love my baby girl Greg. She’s already so damn strong. I regret actions that hurt you but I can’t regret her” “Baby, I wouldn’t want you to” his voice was so soft you nearly started crying.
“Are you safe, for now?” you asked and could practically see the smile in his voice “Yeah, I am” you laughed weakly “Dumb question I know. Am I going to get to see you before you head to Glynco or are you going straight?” “I’d like to see you when I get stateside, if that’s ok. Hell I’d like to see everyone” Stella gave you an encouraging nod “I’d love that” you replied and he was quiet for a moment, long enough you thought he’d either hung up or lost connection until he said “I have never stopped loving you. When I left, when you told me you slept with Jay, when you told me about Adeline. My heart has never stopped being yours. I’m not asking for another chance right away, I just want you to know that you are loved by me and you will be loved by me until my heart stops beating. I still have love for Jay too and I know Addy will be the best of you both. He is gonna be an amazing father and you are gonna be an amazing mother. She is a lucky little girl”
“Thank you. I still love you too” you barely managed to get out. He took another deep breath and you knew that was him struggling to hold back emotions as much as you were “Will you tell me that, just one more time?” he asked so you smiled, wiping tears “I still love you Greg” he chuckled lightly “That’s my girl. I gotta go, I’ll try to keep in touch more. I hope when time comes labor is nice and smooth, remember if it becomes too painful feel free to break Jay’s hand”
You laughed and the two of you told each other goodbye before hanging up. Once she knew you were off the line Stella eyed you for a moment “What’s going on in that head of yours? I can’t read your face for once” you scrubbed a hand down your face “I fucking miss him but I have an entirely different life that’s just gonna get harder. I want to believe by some chance…how could it work Stel?” she tugged you into her arms “We eat the elephant bite by bite babe. Remember that. We face it a little at a time. No matter what you won’t be alone and Adeline will have me”
You had fallen asleep across the couch after Stella headed home so when a knock at the door made you finch out of your sleep you were on high alert, or was until you looked at the most recent missed calls on your phone. Jay.
You walked over and unlocked the door and Jay stood there with arms crossed “I wasn’t gonna come over tonight. I was gonna give you room, do laundry but you didn’t answer! Stella told me when she left and I tried to call, then I tried again and again” You knew he was holding back, trying to respect when you’d asked for breathing room so you grabbed his arms and pulled him closer.
He wrapped both arms around you, leaning his chin on your head. “I got so damn scared something happened. Don’t ever do that again” he ordered despite the way his voice broke a little. “I’m sorry Jay” you replied and he just held you tighter. “It’s ok sweetheart. It’s ok” you laid your head over on his chest and heard how erratic his heart was beating.
After a moment he pulled back and smiled slightly “Did Mouse call you?” you nodded with a grin “He did” his smile grew “Feel a little better after talking to him?” you nodded “I do actually, thank you” he nodded “Of course”
“I’m scared of fucking her up Jay” you admitted and he laughed “So am I but we got each other to call us out to ensure we dont fuck her up” You smiled “Ride or die partners?” he grinned “For life sweetheart” and ran a hand over your stomach “Definitely on that for life part now.” you shook your head and felt her hand hitting your stomach under Jay’s hand. “Definitely for life” you repeated, running your hand over your stomach as well.

You knew Jay meant it when he said for life, Adeline made it so but could Mouse face everything and still mean it? Could he still want you, still love you as much as you loved him? That wasn’t a worry for now. You and Jay had a baby to prepare for.
