katya: also a dog person! she actually grew up around one (a golden retriever, although it bought at her little brothers' request) so her preference for them comes mainly from that

he might not have agreed to it but sadly it just how it is and bambam and many idols kinda have to accept that its what they set out to do. this is going to sound unfair on him but i find the way idols are both chronically online AND then oversharing making their young fans concerned and unable to help their idols from behind a screen very iffy. its not like he hasnt got access to health care to help him overcome his struggles but i also see that hes further pushing an unhealthy realiance on him and his fans. its not like him meeting a person at random in a more romantic setting and having them "fix" his issues or what he feels he lacks in which is clearly romance. I think unless he is physically incapable or has some chronic long term illness then posting on social media is not justifyable it seems like a harsh thing to do for his audience and even for those closest to him as well must feel a constant need to check up on him. again he could start with appreciating the ppl he does have that are willingly checking up on him and such. if anything i think kpop idols would benefit from no social media during hiatus instead of leading fans on to worry abt whether their faves are having a breakdown or not.

i understand your perspective and some parts are true (for example the obligation because this is his job and the social media hiatus). still, i think it's also fair to say that unfortunately, we don't know bambam on a personal level. for all we know this could be due to his romance or other business ventures. it's understandable to feel that it's unfair for him to share and rely on people around him or his fans to check up on him but imo that just shows the mindset that he's going through something. for all we know we don't know about his medical history or personal circumstances that have potentially impacted how he feels. this is just my opinion, but i feel some kpop idols might have a skewed perspective of how to deal with these thoughts because from what I've observed, korean culture really encourages them to persist no matter the circumstance. so they probably have a lot of trauma that has been buried because they always need to put their work first. now since the times are changing, adapting to that is probably a very difficult thing and i can't imagine going from seeing and working with 6 other people almost every single day to dealing with everything yourself. in addition to the fact that bam left thailand at an incredibly young age, and him no longer being able to rely to his seniors in got7 must be a lot to digest. speaking from experience, i do believe that it would be more beneficial to deal with your mental health issues in a private matter but i understand that other people might not hold the same perspective bc people like bam who grew up in the spotlight might feel differently. i just think there's a lot of nuance when it comes to situations like this and we shouldn't be too hasty when it comes to deciding on what we think is right/wrong. thank you for sharing your thoughts anon!

my post is about winwin from nct! (he’s my fav i’m so protective over him hhhhhhhhh)

idk how familiar you are with nct or the mess that it is lol but basically one of its subunits debuted on july 7th, 2016 (7 years ago today) and winwin was one of the original 7 members. his first group is called nct 127 and the 127 represents the longitude of seoul, but there’s also a theory/cute little thing saying that it also represents the number of members and how they were added:

7 + 2 + 1 = 10.

he was kind of phased out/removed from the group at the end of 2018, and there was never any announcement saying he left officially so the group has 10 members on paper but only 9 active members

a lot of fans have accepted he probably isn't coming back :( but the issue is the group got more popular after he left so to a lot of people he isn't super important especially cause solo/single unit stanning is really common in this fandom. also because he was neglected by the company he never really had a lot of lines/center parts/screen time so it's easier to "forget/ignore" him as horrible as it sounds :(

and it's unfortunate but a lot of people don't treat him well, and what baffles me is that he wasn't removed cause he did something wrong ;-; most of the time people dont like past members cause they were removed for problematic/illegal behavior but that's not the reason why (the reason is mostly political, since he is chinese and went to promote in the chinese unit wayv starting in jan. 2019, and to my understanding china occasionally has kpop bans it's easier to get around them if none of the members are in an explicitly kpop group such as nct 127. this is a whole complicated issue in itself and there's some discourse on twt rn about it (read the qrts if you want but be ready for drama lol))

a lot of his fans and wayv stans are much happier with how he is now, because he really opened up as a person and grew as an artist following his departure from the group. he was definitely limited before due to the neglect and also cause he occasionally got boxed in as being the cute guy everyone likes and dotes on but never really an artist or even person in his own right. also he struggled with korean sometimes so he got to express himself much better when surrounded by his chinese bandmates

(though it is really important to note that people push a narrative that he hated being in nct 127 and didn't really love the members which i think is very untrue, you can tell he really worked hard and enjoyed their music, he notably has a strong bond with many people in the group)

i love him in nct 127 and i think he was a very special addition to the group, i would welcome him back anytime <3 but i am happy to see him where he is now, more successful than ever before.

but here is the issue:

since most 127 stans see the group as 9, they celebrate the debut of nct 127 and its 9 active members (which is kinda ironic cause winwin debuted on 160707 but most of the active lineup (literally everyone except yuta and haechan) did not but i digress). due to the nature of nct, he debuted again in 2018 (nct u) and in 2019 (wayv). but his first debut, the day he became an idol, is july 7th, 2016. and what hurts is because when people celebrate the debut of the current 9 member group, they overlook the debut of an original member of the group. which is why later yesterday night i also praised a big fanacc for posting ot10 pics and videos. i dont mind people wanting the focus on the 9 active members more, but i think its weird to call youself a fan of the group or an nctzen and ignore the debut of a member so blatantly :( there are random journalists who were posting articles but someone who claims to be ot20 or ot22 or ot23 or ot25 ot ot26 or whatever u people are this week to not say anything is kind of weird. and it's also why i dont like this other big fanacc because they post throwbacks but always ignore him, how can you be a throwback acc and not post a PAST member ;-; like i said if he was horrible and dishonorably discharged (lol) from the group its a dif story but this is just ridiculous.

anyway i hope that going forward we can love all members of nct and celebrate all of them <3

I guess for me being queer, I feel it's gaslighting for these people to be saying things like that. As silly as it is, it inadvertently deny and invalidate the existence and queerness of gay individuals and so I struggle with it.

This is the consequences of straight people in gay people business. They like defining gay parameters for us and it's like who asked you?? I feel people who say things like that are just plain ignorant or tone deaf or willfully homophobic.

I don't think everyone in BTS is gay but it makes me feel safe to see half the community assume them to be and celebrate them in that way. They are not cussing at them and threatening to leave the fandom or cancel them for this assumption and that is huge inspiration to me.

Those parts of the fandom are a safe space to be in as a queer army.

When people assume a person's queer sexuality they are simply admitting to themselves at the very least that LGBTQ EXISTS. This is important to me because I grew up in a community where LGBTQ didn't even exist in the collective consciousness of the people and EVERYONE IS AUTOMATICALLY ASSUMED TO BE STRAIGHT AND EXPECTED TO BE.

People read people's sexuality all the time and have done so since time immemorial and a lot of the time when they have had a sexuality read it's in the lines of straight, cis, rich, poor, superior or inferior. And that is a problem for some of us too because that discrepancy in the assumptions is as a result of homophobia and heteronormativity.

That whole don't assume a person's queer sexuality debacle sounds to me like a boujee way of denormalizing and preventing the normalization of queerness disguised under care, disguised under intelligence and disguised under wokeness. Especially when straightness is the default setting in this giant blue bulb.

We need to radicalize that. We need to change the cis straight default setting and if you are perpetuating this narrative you really aren't helping the situation. SIT DOWN.

I'm rarely assumed to be queer in certain circles and while that makes me feel comfortable within those circles it often times make it hard for me to admit my queerness openly in those circles too because I fear I will lose that comfort and respect and love and privileges that comes with being percieved straight in those spaces.

When I started my blog, I noticed some people assumed I was white and would use certain black descriptors as slurs when describing other people to me. I quickly had to switch the formal way in which I wrote to a much casual tone so my blackness would show through. Don't get it twisted. She black. She blackidy black black.

Then on the other hand, I was hesitant to let my queerness be known too because being black, I was marginalized as it is- you is black, or sound black💀 you know how it is- it's that intersectionality of oppression at play. Double double homicide.

When certain people realized I was black POC minority, their attitude towards me changed. I had those who didn't so much understand what black language is or perhaps wasn't used to being in black spaces and were uncomfortable with my blackness- these would take offense at me saying certain things in certain ways. Like chilee relax Karen, all I said was these motherfukkers gay as shit and they gay. Why you acting like I called them twinks or sommin. Right there, I'm cancelled for calling Jikook motherfuckers. They get sirens and everything😭😭😭😭😭😭

Same vein, I struggle destraightening myself or correcting people who assume I'm straight because I fear they will treat me differently if they knew I wasn't.

Straight privilege exists in the same way as white or even pretty privilege may exist and because these exist there's that automatic conception of queer, poc, ugly, fat disemfranschismet to run along side it.

People treat you differently based on how they perceive you. That's a fact. And for queer people, perceiving us as straight is the only way we get to be treated as human by the masses. And a lot of us embrace that- straight until proven gay am I right 🤣🤣🤣🤣

It can be fun, I akekeke when some people around me are totally oblivious to the fact and even sometimes defend my straightness with their dying breath when nasty friends throw them shades or try to out me unprovoked.

A lot of us don't want to admit we are gay because we don't want to be disenfranchised.

I speak for myself when I say this.

But 'Don't assume someone's sexuality' is a double edged censorship used for and against queer people. It seemly offers protection on the surface of it for queer people but underneath it promotes heteronormativity and standardizes straightness and it is also used to promote closet culture, under the disguise of care and concern for the autonomy of queer people but that is a fallacy because our autonomy has never mattered to anyone since the dawn of homophobia.

And I don't know where this interpretation comes from. Why do people not want to assume queer people's sexuality but it's ok to assume straight people's???

It feels like a hijacked movement to me.

Don't assume all people are straight. It's ok to assume some people are queer because queer people exists too.

It is wrong however to assume queerness based on how a person talks, walks, dresses or even on their body type. That is stereotyping. And stereotyping is wrong.

When it comes to Jikook, Jimin is often stereotyped as gay more so than Jungkook because they have different body structures. Jungkook is stereotyped too solely because of the way his wrists hang, or based on moments he's femininity shines through.

But I don't think shippers stereotype Jikook in that way at all. I dont think shippers believe Jikook are dating eachother simply because Jungkook applied setting powder to his face that one time. They assume they are gay only because they believe those two to be dating eachother. That is not stereotyping. If those two were heterosexuals I don't think people will accuse their shippers of stereotyping.

It's one thing to assume Kai is gay because he looks skinny and dances well. It's another to assume he is gay because in a relationship with Gdragon. And if people can't tell the difference between the two, they should get some education and stop talking about things they know nothing about or only know because they stumbled across user69 on Twitter. They are not helping.

Untill people get offended when people assume others are straight, that rhetoric doesn't matter in its inequality. If you ask me, everyone is gay until proven straight.

Yet how many people will take offense at that?

Assuming people can be gay is not delulu.

It's ok to assume people can be gay. It's wrong to stereotype them as gay. If you can't assume they are gay, don't assume they are straight and don't assume at all. Run with this sis.

       The sixth-period bell rang warning students that there was only one minute left until class started. Most students began running to their class not wanting to be late but Hwang Hyunjin could care less. He took his sweet time walking to class. He walked into his physics class just as the bell rang, backpack on his back and duffel bag slung over his shoulder. Y/N along with the rest of the class watched as he walked over to his seat in the back of the class letting his bags fall to the floor with a loud thud the teacher scolding him as he replied with a simple, ”Whoops it slipped,” he smirked shrugging his shoulders. Y/N rolled her eyes as she couldn’t believe what it was that people saw in him. He had girls throwing themselves at him and guys doing just about anything to try and be a part of his friend group. He was the school’s resident bad boy and captain of the soccer team which elevated his popularity status.

       Y/N had heard the rumors of him making people streak across the football field during games, become a personal assistant for him and his friends for however long he wanted till he grew tired of them, even the story about how he made a guy eat a shoe. Though that one has yet to be proven. She didn’t understand the hype. She also didn’t understand how such a bully could get away with so many cruel things. Y/N, on the other hand, was the complete opposite of Hyunjin. She was a goody-two-shoes, bookworm, and class nerd. If she wasn’t at home studying then she was most likely either at the library or at her job at the local diner. For months while working there she watched as Hyunjin and his friends would storm in every week after school or a game making a complete mess of the area they were in leaving the mess to the poor busboy that would be on duty that day. She basically loathed him at this point and made every effort to not have any interactions with him and up until now, she managed to succeed. Although today fate or whatever greater power controlled our lives had a very different path in mind.

       After Hyunjin’s very dynamic entrance the teacher had begun to explain their upcoming project where they would randomly be paired up to build a rocket. After finishing his explanation he began to walk to each and every student with a bucket full of folded papers telling them to each pick one and hold onto them until everyone had one. Once he had finished he told everyone to open their papers and look at their number telling them that whoever matched with them would be their partner. The teacher pulled out a paper and began calling names on the roster asking them what number they had gotten followed by asking who also got the number writing them down. Y/N was further along down the roster so it would be a while until she was called to find out who her partner was unless her partner was somewhere higher on the list. Soon enough the moment that everyone had been waiting for had come. The girls and boys that hadn’t been paired prayed to have the same number as Hyunjin just like their parents prayed to have the matching lotto numbers. The teacher asked Hyunjin to unfold his paper which was still sitting on his desk and after a quick unfolding he read aloud, “seventeen.” This caused a roar of groans and whines to erupt in the classroom.

“Okay enough everyone,” the teacher scolded getting them to settle down, “Now who has number 17?”

“I-I do sir,” Y/N said hesitantly raising her hand up.

“Ah Ms. L/N, congratulations you just won the lottery,” the teacher answered sarcastically mocking the students who hoped to have a match.

        Y/N couldn’t believe out of the other 32 students not including them why him? She felt like throwing herself in a ditch. The feeling only grew once they had to move seats to work with one another. The two couldn’t have a proper conversation without throwing insults at each other. It was the first time anyone had even bothered trying to stand up to him and honestly it left him confused and intrigued. Although he had done nothing but say crude and annoying comments while she attempted to make a working schedule for the project, not once did she seem fazed by his words or actions. In fact, it was a bit of a blow to his ego because despite her sweet and soft exterior she was tough. As the bell signaling the end of the period and day rang Y/N quickly collected her things walking out of the room before Hyunjin could even say bye. She grumbled over to her locker mumbling to herself, “ what an egotistical douche. Out of all the people in the class why did it have to be me? I rather get hit in the face with a soccer ball than work with him. What do people even see in him anyway?” she said as she shoved her books into her locker trading it for the things she needed for the upcoming weekend before closing it.“You know I can make that happen if that’s what you really want princess,” Hyunjin said leaning against the lockers next to her.“I’d rather be caught dead than be seen with you,” she said shoving past him but she didn’t get far.

        Hyunjin had managed to grab her by the arm pulling her towards him and pinning her against the lockers, the sudden action causing the book in her hand to fall. He leaned his face down towards her, their faces millimeters apart as he spoke, “That’s what you say now but just wait soon enough I’ll have you screaming my name in more ways than one just like everyone else,” he spoke calmly taking her chin in his hand lifting her face up towards him.

“As if,” she responded, her heart pounding, “I wouldn’t even date you if you were the last man on earth,” she seethes.

“Your reaction seems to say differ,” He smirked as Y/N attempted to stop herself from blushing. 

“Let me go, I have a job to go to,” she said, pushing him off as she walked off leaving her book behind.

         Y/N quickly let go of the breath that she didn’t know she was holding in as she walked to the front of the school getting on the bus that would take her to work. Hyunjin was left dumbfounded in the hallway wondering how she managed to resist his charms. Even the people he didn’t pursue would become weak at the knee if he sent a glance their way so why couldn’t he get a reaction from her. He leaned began to walk off when he stepped on the book that she had dropped. He picked it up looking at it before shoving it in his bag and heading off to practice. The day had soon turned into night and things had gotten a lot busier at the diner as classmates began to fill in the booths. As always on schedule, Hyunjin walked in with his friends taking the same corner booth but Y/N was too busy waiting tables to notice that when her boss sent her to his table she hadn’t even second-guessed it. That was until she arrived doing the greeting spiel stopping mid-sentence as she locked eyes with him a shit-eating grin plastered on his face. She immediately dropped her smile as he simply chuckled, “What’s wrong princess, cat got your tongue or are you just excited to see me?” he asked smugly.

“I already told you I’d rather be caught dead or did I say too fast for you to process, do I need to break it down for you,” she said, the ending sounding as if she was speaking to a child causing his friends to laugh at him.

“Just remember what I said earlier. You’ll eventually come around on your own” he said shrugging his shoulders causing Y/N to get annoyed.

         The sexual tension between the two was now thick enough to cut with a clever and everyone but those two could sense it. She traded tables with one of the other waitresses but even without she couldn’t help but look over his way. Whether she likes to admit it or not he was getting to her but she wasn’t going to let him win her over that easily. She managed to go her whole shift without directly interacting with him and she was now off. As she waited at the bus top she opened her bag looking for her book when Hyunjin pulled up in his red mustang asking her to get in. She declined, saying she was waiting for the bus. “You do realize what time it is right? The buses stopped running over an hour ago,” he said. She checked the time on her phone realizing he was right but she still refused. “Come on it’s late. I might be an asshole sometimes but I’m not a monster either, it's not safe for you to be out here alone,” he said, causing her to raise an eyebrow.“And how do I know I can trust you to take me home safely,” she asked, crossing her arms over her chest.

“And how do I know you won’t attempt to kill on the way there,” he retorted mockingly.

“Fine,” she groaned, grabbing her bag and getting into the passenger seat.

“See that wasn’t so hard now was it,” he teased her as she buckled up.

         Hyunjin then drove off as she gave him her address. The ride was filled with a tension-filled silence and they both could feel the awkwardness grow. Y/N looked around at the interior contents of the car as he gripped the steering wheel knuckles turning white. As they reached her house he pulled up on the curb in front of her home the lights off as her parents were probably asleep. She began collecting her things and Hyunjin stopped her before she could pull the door handle, “A thank you would be greatly appreciated you know,” he teased her causing her heart to slightly jump.

“In your dreams Hwang,” she said, turning to face him.

“Although I already plan on it I rather you tell me now that I’m wide awake in front of you,” he smirked.

“As if,” she replied, rolling her eyes.

“Fine but aren’t you forgetting something,” he hinted.

“What would that be?” she asked confused by his grin.

“This,” he said, pulling out the book she had dropped earlier from his bag.

��      Y/N quickly looked into her bag questioning if it was even hers and if it was how he got it. After she determined that it was hers she immediately reached over attempting to grab it but Hyunjin being quicker than she was held it from her reach. She continued his game as she attempted to retrieve the item forgetting about their current setting and situation. By the time she finally managed to take it from his grip she was already straddling him as his seat was reclined all the way back to give him an upper hand. She hadn’t noticed their compromising position until Hyunjin teasingly pointed it out while straightening his chair again his face once again mere millimeters away from hers like before, “What did I tell you they all come my way whether they like it or not princess,” he smirked causing her to blush once she realized where she was sitting.

“I-um the book I-I,” she said, stumbling on her words at the embarrassment causing him to chuckle.

“So you wanna reconsider that mean statement you said about you wanting to rather die than be seen with me,” he said taking her chin between his thumb and pointer finger, “Use your words princess,” he teased as she had stayed speechless.

“Yes,” she said nodding her head softly.

         Maybe it was the haze she felt caused by the nonexistent space between them or her finally giving into temptation and going for the forbidden fruit. Whatever it was she let him close the space between them kissing her and the feeling was electric. He moved his hands down to her waist letting them rest there so she could pull away if she wanted to. As the kiss became more fervent it soon turned into a full-on makeout session her hand tangling into his long blonde hair while the other rested on his chest. His hands had moved to her hips squeezing them softly in encouragement. The two eventually pulled away for air and rested their heads against each other’s foreheads. They were about to go at it again when the window belonging to her parent’s room illuminated with light causing her to pull away in a panic as she fixed her slightly messy appearance as he chuckled, “To be continued later I guess,” he teased.

“As if that is never happening again,” she lied.

“Oh come one we both know you felt what I felt. Let me do it properly this time though and let me take you out on a date,” he proposed.

“You’re crazy, as if I would go,” she said stepping out of the car.

“Next Friday I’ll pick you up at 8, if you come out then it’s a date if you don’t then I’ll take a hint and never bother you again, deal?” he suggested.

“Then prepare to be disappointed,” she teased.

“Oh no, I’m gonna be counting down the days till I get to kiss you again,” he teased back before she walked to her front door.

          Once he saw her close the door behind her he pulled away from the curb driving off with a smile plastered on his face. Y/N had run-up to her room closing the door behind her biting her lip as she too began to count down the days until she could kiss him again as she thought to herself out of all the people in the school why did it have to be him.

every time someone says they stalked my old posts i want the floor to swallow me LMAO there are so many cringe posts there. please dont do that to your eyes laksaksk ok, lets start by answering what sparkled my interest in this amazing group. ive been listening to kpop practically since i was born and ive always been interested in new groups. there was a forum that talks about rumors of new groups and stuff, there i learned about namjoon and the group he would be part of. at that time there was rumored to have other rappers who would be part of bangtan, before their debut time, bangtan already ~sounded~ different from what they were when they debuted. then after that i learned more about namjoon, the group and listened to some of namjoon predebut songs and started to like him. the one who sparked my interest in bangtan was namjoon but the one who made me stay until they debuted was jeongguk. before they even debuted i was crazy about jeongguk laksakls. i lost count how many times i watch their predebut logs and videos. before they debuted i met other people who liked them and these people wanted to make a gif bfor bangtan, then this blog happened. before it was supposed to be a blog with 4 people but they didnt have time to make gifs :/ so it was just me who made gifs here. me, who never had a tumblr and never made gifs in my life ALSKASK. so thats why this is a sideblog ); being in this fandom since the beginning is something really special and important for me. i have experienced many things and emotions here. i had a lot of friends who also started to like bangtan since their debut time but they stopped liking them for those reasons that you are talking about. these friends talk about feeling distant, feeling that bangtan has changed. it is obvious that these changes happen and were not expected but i never saw these changes as negative. i still dont feel this distance feeling. in fact, i feel more and more close to them and at the same time far away. i know its confunsing but its not bad feeling. its just, bangtan and their songs helped me a lot in my life. i always say that id be a totally different sky if i didnt meet them. but i put bangtan in a dangerous place in my life. i depend a lot on bangtan emotionally and physically. and for me that feeling did not do well. and that feeling didnt do me any good. i'm the same age as jeongguk, so i feel like i grew up with them. i was a kid who was 10 years old diagnosed with depression and saw no reason to smile. when i found bangtan they transformed my life. when i was sad i just watched their videos and listen to their song i forgot my personal life. many times that i thought that there was no reason for me to exist in this world but in bangtan i found a ~cover~ for my empty feeling. before i wanted to look for real help, bangtan was that help for me. bangtan still makes a huge difference in my life, just thinking about being without them i feel like crying! i'm not even exaggerating here. i think it was for these reasons that i didnt care much about their changes like my friends did, even though some made me wonder "why is bangtan doing this". like, boy with luv LAKSAKSK i dont hate this song but i never imagined this boy with luv bangtan 😆. so this was my short story of how i'm still here all this time and i know i'll never leave it here. one of the things that is so special about stan bangtan that many fans have a very similar story of how they became a fan. there are many fans who met bangtan at a time in their lives that they really needed them. and it makes me so emotional! i know a lot of the new armys wanted to be here from the beginning but the most important thing is that they came into your life when you really needed it. i dont like to be too personal here so i'm sorry. and idk why but my dyslexia seems to have gotten worse these days so maybe my text looks more confusing than it used to be. i feel we are very lucky to be an army, and to love this group that has an incredible history and that has done and does things that no one ever imagined they were capable of. i will love it if you tell me your story and how your interest in bangtan started. pleaseeeeee~ and please, you dont need to thank me sweetheart ok 😭

Okay this is going to be a bit of a long one because it’s a complicated subject and I don’t want to word something incorrectly. 

I understand your gut reaction completely, but I think there’s a layer to my statement you might not have understood, because it’s something I’m always a bit vague about/hesitant to speak on for fear of backlash, so I’m probably at fault for this misunderstanding. I’m just going to say how I feel about Jikook, no euphemisms or beating around the bush. 

A) Yes, fanservice culture is fetishization and I agree with your reservations about it completely. I spoke on my feelings about it here.

B) I think it’s pretty undeniable that Jimin and Jungkook have an extremely intimate relationship. It’s not really up for debate. 

A moment like this doesn’t happen without an immense amount of established physical and emotional intimacy. This isn’t phony. Jungkook wouldn’t have done this in front of thousands of people (knowing it was being recorded by hundreds for millions to see) if he wasn’t already in a space with Jimin where this was an acceptable form of comfort and affection. With a few exceptions, I think most of us can agree that this isn’t regular behavior between friends, or even family. It’s something (typically) reserved for lovers. It’s not my place to say what they are to each other, but this does not fall under normal standards for Korean skinship. 

So with all this being said, I think that it’s pretty clear that what we’re supporting is ‘real’, though I hate to use the term because it implies that other relationships between members aren’t real or genuine, which is not what I mean.  What I mean is that we chose to support Jikook because we saw REAL interactions there that don’t fall in line with typical ‘friend’ behavior, and we want to support this. 

When I say that if Jikook end up dating other people, we should support them anyway, it’s not because I don’t think what they have is special or tangible or ‘real’ in my eyes. But rather because they’re in a really complicated situation with a 1000 more variables in their relationship than even normal, non celebrity people have to deal with. Whether they’re just extremely intimate friends or more, they aren’t faking this for fanservice. It’s genuine interaction. As you said yourself, it’s one of the things that makes BTS stand out from your regular Kpop group. They don’t fake shit for fanservice, they embellish what’s already there. 

And I’m sorry, but the example I showed above may have started as fanservice, but it evolved into something beyond fanservice halfway through. 

My point about them having variables is that though clearly their relationship is extremely special and unique and full of love, they themselves are in a tough situation. You mention being a lesbian and not being able to come out, and how people around the world are attacked and murdered for being gay, and fanservice feels like a mockery to you. But remember- they live in this same harsh world we do. They live in South Korea, where being gay is still very much a taboo topic and by no means accepted by the general public. Gay marriage is not legal for them, there’s been almost no REAL representation in the media until extremely recently, and this is the culture they grew up in. Knowing what we know about their relationship, they’re in the same boat as you. They, if they are gay, can’t come out- they’re South Korea’s pride- they represent the entire country internationally. The amount of pressure on their shoulders is unimaginable. They are expected to be perfect, by Korea’s standards. Being gay does not fall within those standards. Remember a few months ago when Jungkook got into a minor fender bender? Somehow it became a national scandal. A minor mishap that a majority of the human population will go through at some point in their lives was blown up into a huge event and the public ripped him to shreds for it, trying to unearth every little detail and form it into a scandal. Now imagine if it was about their sexualities. 

I think you know just as well as I do that Jungkook and Jimin’s interactions aren’t laughing and playing around with LGBT culture. There’s certainly problematic aspects to idol culture and it’s fetishization of LGBT people, but what they show us, I perceive as genuine. Whether or not they other come out as anything, or let us in on their private lives during this time period in retrospect, I think we can trust them to not have disrespected us in such a thoughtless way. Jungkook especially has proven to be a huge supporter of LGBT culture and artists. I don’t think he takes our lives as a joke.

If they end up dating other people, it could be for a multitude of reasons. Maybe they were always just extremely intimate friends, and had an agreement they could date whoever they wanted. Maybe they were friends with benefits, and again, agreed to date freely outside of this. Maybe they are in a defined relationship, and won’t date other people unless they break up. Maybe they fulfill all the actions of a defined relationship without the label, and things are uncertain between the pair even now. There’s sooo many variables and soo many ways the future could turn out. It’s impossible to know from the outside looking in.

Either way, my extremely long-winded point is that regardless of the future, Jungkook and Jimin’s actions aren’t here to make a mockery of LGBT people and queerbait. They don’t do that, and I’d like to believe they respect us as fans more than that. The way they act is genuine; there’s no faking the amount of intimacy and love they’ve shown towards each other for the camera to the extent that they have, for the amount of time that they have. 

If they date other people in the future, it doesn’t detract from the depth and meaning behind their relationship now, no matter the label.

it was also the time that kpop grew GREW and from this point on + because yg was such an asshole back then (continues to be) their image started to get more and more tainted that now many people only occasionally 'listen' to blackpink just for the hype of it while those of us who are true blinks here have to bear shit like solo stans and toxicity on a very high level within our own fandom + no music schedules at all and we're expected to not get frustrated AND the whole thing could just be so much better if bp had the power to take more decisions by themselves it's just so sad to see that the talent is OUT THERE but some just wanna hate just because there's nothing more interesting in their life</3
