my favorite idea that i’ve thought of for snw season three is that in one of the eps we’ll get to see jim’s first day as the farragut’s first officer and it just goes Horribly Wrong. like unfriendly aliens capturing the captain kind of bad. jim has to take command and it’s also his FIRST!! day on the job kind of bad. “the enterprise is the federation ship closest to us, we need to call them for assistance” kind of bad. and then when the enterprise arrives to help, pike sends his best senior officer who’s not immediately needed on their own ship over to help jim. and who would that individual happen to be? why mr spock of course 🙂
