#the last week ive been so down but #the last 24 hrs have been so sweet #my friend let me talk out my thoughts and comforted me then we watched a studio ghibli together even tho her footie was on #and then today #my senior apolygised that she missed my teaching yday and wanted me to send it over to her bc another senior said it was a good one #that other seniors facial expressions made me feel like i did a bad job at the time and iw as down but it was so nice to hear that!#my work friends memorised my coffee order and treated me to one #the staff on my current rotation r so lovely nearly everyones complimented me 🥹#and then one of my colleagues literally brightened my day after lunch - wasnt expecting it but he wanted a quick chat to tell me i made his #day yday #i also asked my work friend walking buddy if we can restart our after work walks and she said yes!!!

that's it my physics class is REALLY starting to piss me off

#so #last night i got an email from a professor because class was virtual #and all we had to do was do the activity for next class and watch the recording (no live zoom)#so i think 'great! ive been working for hours and it's 4am it'll be nice to sleep in!#and then today #i get up with just enough time to shower and get ready for my next class #and what do i find in my fucking inbox?#an email from my teacher sent WHEN CLASS WAS SUPPOSED TO START saying to make sure to turn in the assignment by the end of class #which by the time i was checking my fucking email before heading to calculus #was a little under two hours ago #fuck everything #like yeah sure i shouldve been up before noon and checked my email but STILL #also he worded it like 'please remember to turn in the activity before the end of class'#is if we hadn't gotten conflicting directions literally last night #oh my god this man has 'your award winning professor in his email signature'#he sent an email about how much absences won't be tolerated the day before spring break and signed it 'your award winning professor'#i can't

filipina miku!! my mom helped me with her outfit ^_^

#THIS TOOK ME FOREVER RAAHHHH #i had help from my mom with stuff like the parts of the traje de mestiza which is the outfit shes wearing #this trend looks so much fun and i wanted to join in.. im first gen canadian though so ive never been to the philippines and only #know thru stories of my parents growing up. im proud of my heritage but there are some things i didnt grow up with that #make me feel disconnected from my culture. so it was nice to talk to my mom abt it and ask for her help with this :3 #the pleated tapis is meant to resemble her skirt.. i had no way of adding her stockings but i noticed the piano key design #so i used that for the saya. the bandana is meant to resemble her hairties and shes wearing bakya wooden slippers with embroidery #i kinda wanted to add the panuelo to resemble her tie as a finishing touch but i forgor ;w; just imagine it i guess #my mom really likes this. shes a little confused abt the blue hair and i had to explain her hair is like that but she thinks shes pretty #originally i wanted her holding the woven pamaypay and fanning herself because ITS HOT ITS 25 FUCKING DEGREES TODAY #but i couldnt get the pose right so i settled for this. i wanna draw her and brazilian miku high fiving ill do that tmrw #my art #myart #hatsune miku #miku worldwide #philippines #vocaloid #miku

its true that complimenting strangers is fun and nice. people will go "awwww really" when you say their hair is cute. people will go "thanks" and straighten up a little when you compliment the colors they're wearing. people will say "oh yeah i got it at (place)" if you say a charm on their bag is cool. people really do appreciate it and its very whimsy and you can just do this for free

i’ve started babysitting for a VERY christian family which is great because they pay me a lot of money but as someone who was raised almost completely agnostic it’s kind of insane. the 2 year old keeps asking me to read her stories from the bible. (why are we reading david and goliath to a 2 year old????) the 5 year old told me today that he was going to bring his legos to heaven with him. he also has repeatedly told me that the lego spaceships he builds are stronger than jesus. (not sure what to say to that. do i deny it??? are things allowed to be stronger than jesus??) had to stop myself mid sentence today because i almost told them im not going to heaven which would DEFINITELY have caused several meltdowns. they’re also both completely fascinated by my nose ring

#i also had to tell them no today because mom said no tv and they DESPERATELY wanted to watch a 4-dvd set of recorded sermons #religious children are terrifying. i do get sundays off tho so #personal
