- Was definitely dismissive of her before they got to know each other better, seeing her as just another attractive girl.

i knew how this was gonna end, i did watch the end of this show before, ive always been familiar w house because i watched episodes of it on tv as a kid with my mom and sister and knew major plot points like amber's death and wilson's cancer and house faking his death and everything but. the details were lost on me. now that i know the details something about them just doesn't jive with me and feel right.

probably related to my earlier post about how even in the final season so much of house is the same. he tried to change for the better but he was still back. i mean the entire premise of the show is about "the disabled addict doctor who struggles to be a person" so if any of these magically stopped being there that'd be stupid ESPECIALLY him being a disabled addict which are so central to his character. so im definitely not complaining about that.

initially i thought him faking his death was insanely reckless but what other choice was available. if he went, Hey, im here! im alive he'd absolutely be going to jail. in jail so far away while his best friend, maybe his only friend would be dying alone. of course he did that. his only choice was ttofake his death to be with wilson. throwing away his whole life and legacy and career and reputation to be with him.

hilson endgame real but also, while watching the whole show i kept going from "tumblr didn't lie these guys are gay" to "Tumblr may have oversold it a bit". but that might just be in the nature of its episodic structure. not e everything is abt wilson there's other people in house's lofe but in that final season everything does speed up, suddenly and become about wilson. which brings me to the whole cancer thing. in my memory of the show from watching it as a kid, Wilson's cancer came up as a plot point WAY earlier and there is much more time to discuss it in the show. to ponder and delve into it, what it means for wilson, for house, for the show. but actually watching the show it feels very sudden....! i felt like the entire cancer thing, which plays so damn heavily into the SERIES FINALE, wasn't explored enough...? it felt rushed. but it might feel like it because well there's a difference between watching a show as it comes out on a schedule vs binge watching it on demand.

and another thing that irked me is- but this is more of a "this personally makes me Feel Sad and Weird" as opposed to genuine criticism is how EVERYONE thinks house is dead except Two People. that's crazy. i have a Thing for closure and knowing things, the truth, im a little paranoid about that, but it just feels insane to me that house's own parents, family, former and current colleges, lovers, everyone... they all think he's dead when he's not. i see how that is, in terms of the Narrative, a good thing? house is truly FREE now. and if other people knew they'd probably call the police. but also that's just kinda horrifying.... I don't know. idk. also wtf cuddy wasn't there at the funeral? D: obviously i know how their last meeting went but they were such big part of each other's lives im rlly shocked she wasn't there! or even showed up at ALL in the ending scene where we see where everyone's life has headed, a little scene of her, Rachel, and someone new

and also. ._. how did that fire even start in the first place?..... did i miss something....? uaaaaah. i should watch it again

ugh but despite my peeves. i want to pass this off as Just another show ive watched, time to move on to the next, because a big part of the reason i started house and kept going and even chose to watch it at the times i did was because i have been going through some rough shit mentally for the past. entire year plus. i have relied on it to keep me distracted. i want to just move onto the next distraction but i have become so attached, it's hard to not feel :/ and :( about 1) the fact it's over now 2) it ended in a way that makes me feel funny, and not in a good way. aaaahhhhh.

Hudson and Rex S01E12 - A Cult Education

Oh, by the way, the order of the episodes might be slightly different. I'm just following the order the rips I have are in. As Hudson and Rex has completely standalone episodes, bar a couple exceptions, this doesn't really affect continuity. But I'll start writing the episode titles so that there won't be any guesswork needed.

There was already a mention of Joe's ex wife being an addict in earlier episodes but in this one we get deep into it. It's not a "happy" episode by any means. It also makes me wonder what "I had to explain trans people to my kids" people do with concepts like addiction. Their children don't have any questions about that?

So Joe met Wendy when she was an informant? That may actually explain why he never took action when Charlie kissed Eva. I'm joking. Like hell any of the writers remembered Joe's backstory in S4 and in S6 they'd certainly forgotten Camilla wasn't his biological daughter and he'd adopted her through marriage.

Charlie: Don't worry, if your mom is innocent, I'll find proof. I've got lots of tools at my disposal. But mainly Rex. Rex will do all the work.

Charlie and Sarah are talking about how awesome Joe is to have stuck around for Wendy and support Camilla. Show, don't tell, guys. There was no need for this conversation.

He believes in Judaism like Howard's family, he started to study it and follow the religion because of the weinermens as well. He hasn't told his family yet because they follow a different religion and want him to follow it(the Japanese religion Shinto).

His dad's away on work trips a lot, it's why he brings up his mom so much, she's the one always around.

His mom works as a caretaker for young kids(like Marci did), she's in her own head a lot so Randy can often get away with a lot.

Randy sometimes does dumb crap to cheer someone up(can't cry if you're laughing at him).

I joke about him being blood thirsty but in all honesty I don't think he is, he'd kill out of necessity but even then he be merciful(to people, animals/beasts are free game). And even then he wouldn't like it. A "I did what I had to" kinda situation.

Mature for his age due to his parents being busy most of the time.

Nothing wrong with weinerham as a ship(I just want to make that clear) but personally, I think they'd see each other more as brothers, I think Randy associates the whole weinermen family into his own, AGAIN there is nothing wrong with shipping weinerham! Within the timeframes of the show, I can't see where sambenny would fit in (just for the constraints of the plot) but if they'd had some time? If Sam had been stuck in Purgatory for a while when Benny went in to spring him? I think they could've bonded.

The way I see it Benny would for SURE have been the one to bridge the distance between them because he'd be there with this magical baby brother he's mostly just heard about, and he'll finally have a chance to get to know a Sam who's neither the intense Dean-narrated version nor the version intent on slaughtering Benny for being a vampire. I don't see Sam wanting to just spill the beans about being addicted to demon blood so it would have to be Bobby who lets that one slip.

And then Benny would bring it up at the campfire one night while Bobby was snoring away into a rolled-up coat so he wouldn't be too loud, and Sam wouldn't want to talk about it much but also Benny's spent a shit ton of time with Dean and he can kinda catch on to what their methods of communication are. Sam's embarrassed to talk about his own struggles if nobody asks, or if they change the subject, or a million other anxious fiddly little things, but Benny's got patience and Benny doesn't have anything mean to say about Dean, so with some persistence he actually gets Sam talking for real.

I don't know if they'd be able to have any more intimate moments together what with Bobby always there lol although ... Sam and Benny are both good at being quiet. Maybe one night once the muffled snoring commences, Sam nods to Benny that he's got something to show him. Benny follows Sam a little ways off, and Sam backs himself into a tree and grabs Benny and hauls him in close and hisses, bite me. And Benny doesn't even hesitate.

He would never file for a prison visit for her again. He made his way towards 79's room, fumbling for the keycard. This was his only outlet. Nobody would dare question the girl if she showed up to her shifts all bloody and battered, the only assumption being she'd done something to deserve it. After all, did a demon have to do something to truly deserve a beating? The halls were half empty during lunch break, so he wouldn't have to deal with the guard that stood ground outside 79's room. Kurai stopped briefly before using the keycard, flexing his knuckles. They'd most likely cause inconvenience later. He stepped in, noticing the girl arranging her bed. She instantly turned to look at him the moment the door creaked open. Kurai made sure he'd locked it from the inside. Kurai didn't exactly keep track of what he did to her in the next few minutes, but he knew the damage he was doing. Every time she curled in on herself when he kicked her, every time she screamed or cried out in the moment of everything, every hit he landed harder than the last. Kurai ignored her pleas and soft repetitions of "I didn't do anything this time." He kneeled before her ridiculously thin, wheezing frame on the floor, bloody fist now retracting. "Why-?" The girl croaked out, blood coating her hair and face, dripping down her mouth and nose. Tears mixed with with red ran down her cheeks as she glared at him with trembling eyes. "What?"

"Why are you doing this to me?!" She yelled out, voice cracking, clearly glazed with pain. Kurai drove his fist into her torso, hearing a slight crack followed by her half scream-sob. "Sorry. Didn't mean to hit that hard." He mumbled, and stepped a few blocks back to catch his breath, as if recovering from an hour long workout.

"Because.." He started off, recalling how his mother demanded he fuel her alcohol addiction even in prison. Send me a few bottles, she'd said. Kurai gazed at the ground, suddenly urging himself to avoid the girl's eyes. "I visited my mom in prison after a while, today. She successfully pissed me off. She hasn't changed a bit." He looked up at the girl, gaping at him in what she found to be mixture of disbelief and exhaustion. "I'm really, really angry." Kurai stated matter-of-factly. He pulled out the taser from his uniform, watching 79 scoot away till her back hit the wall. "No. Nonono. Please. Don't use that. Please!" 79 begged, half sobbing and coughing. For some reason, that made him feel shitty and he couldn't figure out why. "Bear it." Kurai spoke. He thrust the taser into her probably, no, most definitely injured ribs, watching her scream and writhe beneath the current. A few more seconds passed before he granted her relief. Kurai got up, fixing his uniform and caressing his bruised knuckles. The girl had curled in on herself, convulsing and gasping for air. Kurai ran a hand through his hair, hoping the frustration would seep out of him moments later. He unlocked the door, walking out of the room, leaving the youngster to steam in her own suffering. Yet somehow, now that it was over, Kurai felt even worse than before. This inevitably called for a call with his counsellor, it seemed.

Vaughn, my main squeeze & most treasured blorbo has been with me from almost the beginning. I made 3 male oc's before Vaughn fell into my lap. All three had pretty similar faces, but all were very different in personality and lifepath.

Vaughn came during like.. playthrough 5? LOL. I created him and it felt just right. I even named him! Which was crazy, cos I'd never done that before, and I just knew he was gonna be very important to me.

So some main points are that he's a nomad. Not born into it, but adopted into it at 2 years old.

He grew up tomboy until his early teens when he came out as trans, but told very few. He always had masculine features and many thought he was a boy from the jump, but when he came out and people found out, there was mixed reactions. It was one of the biggest reasons he left the clan.

He moved to Night City shortly after this and inherited some street kid roots. He hung around Lizzie's bar a lot and was even a bartender there for a time being, also while being homeless. He even had a fling with Susie Q ;p (They are still friends).

He hated everything corpo until he met Goro who showed him that not all of it was terrible, but most of it was, which is why Vaughn tore Goro away from it all and took him into the Aldecaldos. (where they lived happily ever after).

Vaughn used to hate long hair, when he tried growing it out once before in his late teens and didn't like the hair getting in his face when the wind blew, and the wind was always freaking blowing. So he kept it short, until his late twenties when he let it grow out accidently and realized he really liked it. So did everyone else, especially Goro (lots to pull on -cough-).

His best friend is Panam, that is his found sister. They do everything together. Well.. her, Vaughn & Goro do everything together. They are like the 3 musketeers. Nothing could pull them apart, they'd die for each other.

Vaughn hates sweets, specifically cake after a bad experience with it. He likes certain hard candies.. jolly ranchers are his favorite, but he hates any desert foods.

He's bisexual, but leans more towards men. He tells people he's gay, cos once he and Goro became a couple he realized he'd most likely never go back to women ever again, or any other men tbh.

His last fling with a woman was Meredith Stout. And he will tell you straight up.. "That shit was so good." xD

He's one of the most caring, empathetic, loving, and friendliest mercs you will ever come across. He will do anything for anyone, and is known to a lot of people as a teddy bear cos of how loving he is. His hugs are addicting, and he gives amazing advice to those who ask, and it's why so many are lucky to have him around. With all he's been through, the fact he still puts others first is why people love him so much. He thinks it's the bare minimum and everyone should show compassion and kindness, even though lots don't show it. But he'll fill that gap and do it all on his own, people need it. :)

Fizz and Ozzie: They're both caught off-guard by the existence of someone without a classification, in fact that'd probably be how they looked into them since they don't really interact with the Pride ring and all the sinners are stuck there. They're both relieved to discover their viewpoints and that they are trying to make hell a safer place for Littles. They might send some aid in the form of monetary donations though they'd keep it low-key since I don't think other sins are supposed to interfere in other rings.

Stolas: I'm not sure how he'd find out beyond possibly him going to the pride ring to visit I.M.P. and see Blitzo. Being a good Caregiver himself he'd see what the sinners are doing as repulsive and would gladly help where he could though again I don't think he's technically supposed to, but what's another thing for the Goetia family to get pissy about?

I don't really see her as ever having a reason to go to Pride? In the old Instagram (I think it was Insta it was something lol) she visited some occult shop frequently but I don't think it ever specified the ring. If she did happen to learn about them I think she'd be supportive. Would like them for their uniqueness as opposed to being repulsed.

Stella:

Stella doesn't usually concern herself with the affairs of those she deems beneath her, however when it starts affecting Stolas's bank account too noticeably (and thus affecting the amount she'd get in a divorce settlement) she's pissed and looking for the reason. When she finds out she will be disgusted but not surprised, of course the imp fucker would support an abomination and their two friends. Would likely do everything she could to hinder or hurt them, not necessarily because she cares one way or another, but because it will torment Stolas to know he's brought negative consequences to them through his actions if inadvertently.

Mox/ Mils: Mox is a Caregiver himself and always had a bad taste in his mouth whenever he had to pass through the pron district for whatever reason because of what they do. He's never seen someone get taken or he'd help. Moxxie is the more cautious of the two while Millie is more likely to think the non-classified is cool and what they do is good. They can't really offer support but if they're in the same area as a turf war they might lend a hand.

Blitzø:

Let's be honest as much as we like Blitzø, and how interesting his character is, he really doesn't care about things beyond his immediate circle. Now he might see the M&Ms in a turf war and add his on help just so his employees are safe but he doesn't know anyone personally affected by what sinners are doing, and he has too much on his own plate to bring himself to care very much right now. It'd take a while and at least one heist or assassination together for him to open up towards them. That being said he doesn't care about what they are.

Verosika: She doesn't really care. She's more focused on her career and goals. She's too busy girl bossing to be worried about some group of sinners. She's not a bad person per say, honestly we don't know much about her other than she's addicted to Beelzejuice and is understandably angry at Blitz. Realistically she might be decent. I don't think she discriminates or sees others as lesser considering the Queen Bee of Gluttony's boyfriend is working for her, if she was a bigot or completely awful person or something I don't think Bee would take that sitting down. We see a very limited, one-sided view of her, so this is my best guess on her given what we know.

Queen Bee: Another one we don't know too much about. Clearly she likes hellhounds, but is it beyond their capacity to party and feed her sin? The only thing that makes me think she doesn't care as much as she should is the fact the "adoption centers" exist. They are literally kennels for sentient beings who happen to look like dogs. Now maybe they aren't in her ring and she has limited control over it, fair enough, but unless they're in the pride ring specifically there isn't anything the Misfits could do to help. She'd likely think they're cool and maybe see if Lucifer would let her host a party in pride as a thank you for what they're doing for hellhounds there. I'll give her the benefit of the doubt though since she seemed to care about Blitzø and Loona to an extent and she was nice enough in her debut. I just err on the side of caution when we've only seen a character for a total of like ten minutes and I know my take her is probably going to get me skewered by Queen Bee stans but I'm just trying not to form my opinion based on one interaction.

Feeling the cool lips press to his neck, a prying finger gently tugging down the collar of his loosely tied undershirt and the lips only growing more bold, Nixus laughs softly as he gently shakes his head. "You, my Lord, are a nuisance to the arts-" he purrs back, smirk tugging at the corner of his lips as he tries to remain focused on the soft swirls of paint on the canvas in front of him.

They year is 1719 and this warm summers night in particular was pleasant. As cicadas chirp noisily outside the open bay window and a comfortable summer breeze lightly ruffles muslin curtains a young painter sits in front of his canvas as a scene starts to take shape. With soft, brunette curls gathered in a low pony tied by ribbon, in just his bellowing undershirt, smatters of paint across his long neck and speckling his jaw as he remains utterly focused on the painting coming to life under flickering candle light. Or at least, he had been.

That was until the tell-tale cool touch of fingers and lips alerted him to the other's presence and eyes that before had been so focused on his work close, and his head tilts back to enjoy the touches. A curious stranger this lord had been, once, now a familiar addiction, as the paintbrush in his hand clatters to the tile floor as it is discarded, and instead the painters hand reaches back to thread into the man's hair as pecked kisses turn to sucks and nibbles, and large hands slip around his chest. Nixus leaning back into him as a stifled moan passes his lips, before the limited contact becomes not enough to curb his appetite, and he turns toward him.

"Lord Vaclav-" the renowned artist murmurs, as arms wind around the vampire's neck and lips find his own, quickly helping to satiate his desire with a deep kiss as he's lifted and bare legs encouraged to wind around the man's middle as he's taken the few steps towards the nearest chase.

There was not a lot known about this mysterious gentleman. Evidently of great wealth and good standing, keen to lavish money on the arts as patron and his very manners spoke of good breading and family line, even though he never did. The first moment Nixus had set eyes upon him, bathed in black finery as he was, he'd been besotted. Keen to paint him, though each time he'd tried the paint had dried on his mixing board, as their bodies joined instead and fingers or lips explored the gentleman's lines where eyes and paintbrush should have.

"Where have you been?" He murmurs, paint stained fingers tugging and pulling at the many layers of Vaclav's clothing, as his head tilts back and lips continue to be lathed against his throat. "I received your letter-" he whines, helping push his overcoat off his shoulders, soon moving on to attack the buttons of Vaclav's breaches whilst the Lord's cool hands push up Nixus' shirt to bare his naked lower half as he slips between his thighs.

At the first grind of their bodies together, Nixus mewls in weary ecstasy as his head tilts back and he pants hotly. Despite Vaclav's cool temperature against him, his body sheens with heat and his heart rate quickens. Still dressed in most of his clothing, the nobleman's hard length ruts against him, bringing them both a little of the pleasure they'd been starved of during their time apart. "Take me to the bed, quickly my Lord" he whispers against Vaclav's half tied kerchief and bared throat, receiving a growl in reply that sends a shiver straight up his spine, knowing he was soon to get the delights he had been keeping himself entertained with thoughts of since they last met.

Feels just a little bad to say, but... there's something about Bakugo when he's a little wiped out... that just makes him all the sweeter.

Hi hello yes friend! <3 I am fairly certain this is another bit from LTL, but let me check...

OH NO. Ohhhhh this is from a VERY OLD version of the bathtub scene (still Remus POV!), before I ended up reworking a bunch of things. I'll note what changed under a cut, but uh. Here is a small, inoffensive snippet of this one lol

"I can't believe you did this." Dora snorted, squirting different coloured dyes into several small bowls. They'd broken out the good china for this exercise, he'd noticed. "I absolutely can." Sirius sighed dramatically, and Remus was beginning to suspect he'd somehow switched consciousness with his fifth-year self. "I just fancied a change."  "Then paint some walls or something, you prat, not…" He trailed off, gesturing vaguely at Sirius' hair, which truly looked horrid. "Eugh, look, no offence, cariad, blond is not your colour." "You don't think it makes me look like my cousin? My dear old mother used to say we had the same cheekbones." He pursed his lips, tapping his cheek with his index finger. He did have lovely cheekbones, but that was rather beside the point. "Probably why she tried to marry me off to her, come to think of it." "Cissy had actual colour to her hair. This is… erm…" "White?" Dora supplied, grinning as though she weren't at least partially responsible. "Well, that's a word for it, isn’t it? Thank you Dora." Sirius scowled; the effect was rather ruined by how ridiculous he looked. Don't laugh, Lupin, you'll just get him all het up again. Whatever made him happy, right?

Right. "I’m never staying blond, ta very much." Dora winked at Remus, then grabbed Sirius' head firmly and turned him so he was looking straight down into his lap. "Too right you're not, now sit still so I can apply this."

OK, so if you want to see the changes...

This was the version where Remus ALSO sat down and let Dora dye his hair (he no longer does this.) Fun fact: this is what my PFP is from lol. I'm still a little sad I lost that bit, but. Oh well. It really wasn't that important.

The hearing never happened in this version, so Sirius was still trying to figure out a legal way to clear his name rather than Remus flinging himself at the situation like an angry cat.

The whole borderline alcoholism angle with Sirius was not addressed yet like it has been in LTL-canon, and the problem was going to be a lot worse. I decided to walk it back a little because he didn't really get the chance to full-on spiral down that particular well like he did in actual-canon.

This version takes place the same night the Weasley kids + Harry show up at Grimmauld Place. I pushed it up earlier in the month instead because it was WAY too messy and honestly I didn't want to put a bunch of anxious teens in the same house as a couple of inebriated adults. As I was writing it out, the discomfort overrode any comic value.

Sirius got to be The Adult In The Room, which... I ended up reworking as a concept into some better/healthier moments, since it's important for his character arc.

The discussion between Remus and Dora re: his past addiction issues was originally going to happen here, and Remus was also going to mentally draw parallels between his past and Sirius' current struggles. I felt it was a little too on the nose.

I had been laying the groundwork for actual UST between Dora and Sirius here, which no longer strictly lines up with where they're headed in LTL.

There was a photograph of Remus with green hair. I will be working this into LTL canon SOMEWHERE, or so help me XD

Remus took paint thinner to Walburga's portrait, and Dora drew a dick on her with a sharpie which she couldn't scream about, owing to no longer having a mouth. While the scene is hilarious, I could not in good conscience keep this as is, and the writing in the dialogue is so genuinely terrible I want to cry lol. (Not like the words they're saying are bad, just I was still in the "need to write the way they sound" mode, and it just isn't a good look, it's going back in the hole forever.)

There's probably some other changes here but yeah, just generally tone and trajectory and pacing and plot alllllll changed from where this was at initially lol.

I'm not very good at drawing horror and blood but I recently have been getting into OFF lately so I figured I'd try to draw batter to pratice lighting and shadows

I also made my own au where batter and hugo switch places but I doubt anyone would like it or even read it heck I couldn't even get a single like on any of my posts

But here I go anyway :

So common belief that the world of OFF isnt real and that its all happening inside Hugo's head because hugo is in a comma and that the batter resembles the father and the queen resembles the mother

And that the guardians are the boy's immune system and organs that are intolerant to the drug liquid plastic that is being experimented on hugo

The mother was always a working woman and never gave hugo attention while the dad was a straight forward and loving man (I also have a personal theory that he's religious)

The mother wants hugo to live but the father wants to let the boy die because he's tired of seeing his own child in pain everyday

Ok now that I have that out of the way here's my au:

In this au its the father that ends up in a comma and hugo is the one who tries to save him from dying

Backstory to how the dad ended up in a comma:

Hugo in this au is healthy and lives a normal life the father was once a baseball player (as a hobby) so hugo got inspired by his dad and started to take baseball classes at his school

One day the dad was dropping hugo off for baseball practice and while waving goodbye while slowly moving out of the parking lot a reckless older student who wasn't looking quickly backs up his truck hitting the father and sending him into a comma

Ok now for the characters:

We enter the game as hugo and we are greeted by the judge and we start our journey of "purifying" the world just like batter

The enemies represent different family members who dislike or or even hate the father and the father's phobias or fears as well as microbes or poisons in the father's system

Then we have other characters like pets,neighbors,friends who are good guys or people who side with hugo in the this au

Also the puzzles would changed in this au

Hugo is a child and the father would probably play alot with hugo and his games since the mother was always busy ,so instead of floating boxes we'd get more complicated versions of kids puzzles like connect the dots or fill in the shapes etc.

Now for who each character represents and then I'll move on to what the goal of the game is or what Hugo's mission is:

Hugo= he represents the son in real life but he also resembles a new antibiotic that's being experimented on the father

The judge = in real he's the family house cat named milk ingame he's a guide but I have my own head canon

so alot of people tend to draw batter with his eyes closed some draw 4 eyes some draw no eyes at all

I like to think that the father irl has bad eye sight or sensitive eyes so he wears special glasses but will not wear any glasses when at home because he doesn't like to so he will walk around with his eyes closed

So milk will guide him throughout the house by purring or meowing at him

As for the smile the judge has on his face hugo likes the movie Alice in wonderland over and over so the image of the Cheshire cat would be embedded in the dad's memory which is why the judge appears that way

He views the judge as someone who is helpful

The queen = the queen is his wife however they start to have alot of problems and arguments before the father fell in a comma

And the relatives try to convince her to turn off the life support and move on with life

Dedan= irl he's the father's brother in law with a snappy attitude and he hates the father alot and even objected in thier wedding day he will do anything to hurt the father or cause trouble

The father sees his brother in law nothing more than a all bark no bite a big mouth

Japhet= in real life is the lady that lives next door (yes I KNOW japhet is male but he's based off if her in the father's head)

She's is very controlling person who enjoys gossip and can't mind her own business always sticking her nose where she can as well as pushing everyone around she does everything she can to get attention and impress people and she's flirted with the father mutiple times but she's ignored her every time

She has very loud and noisy birds and has killed thier other family cat Venice saying that she did it as self defense (Venice is Valerie basically)

The father views her as a parasite

Enoch= he resembles another dad that takes his kid to baseball practice but is in bad terms with the mother and will constantly pick on hugo for fun

He assumes if the father approaches him its because his wife told him to do so

and will constantly say that his child and wife are happy ,living a life with no problems thinking that he's got life figured out

Even though its clear that his son isn't enjoying baseball at all, is quite over wieght as well as his wife ignores him all the time not to mention he's constantly eating meaning that he has some sort of food addiction it seems he sees no irony in his life at all

The father sees him as an irresponsible over wieght person who's always lying to himself and to blind to see the truth thinking that his life is ok when it's clearly not

Zacharie = irl he's the father's best friend since middle school and they've known each other for years he was the best man at the wedding he's bisexual and in a relationship with a girl named sweetie (please don't hate me batterie shippers QWQ!) He used to crush on the father and even confessed to him on the wedding day he was heartbroken but accepted that the relationship was never gonna happen and was even mad at his best friend but realized it was wrong of him to feel that way

He eventually moves on

He likes to bring and buy alot stuff and show them to his best pal later somegimes illegal stuff (he even brought weed over one time oh boy) he's like an uncle to hugo and is always happy to help and defend his best friend no matter what

He views him as a brother and family member aswell as a very optimistic chill dude and will jokingly refer to him as "the merchant"

Sugar: irl she's zacharie's gf (before her he had 2 toxic exes and she helped him out of those toxic relationships) she and the father don't really talk all that much so he knows little to absolutely nothing about her aside from the fact that she likes to talk funny sometimes and is really into dolls and aliens and a slight addiction to eating pixie straws (straws filled with powered candy or sugar)

He views her as a silent person nothing much

The elsens= they are the people that the father meets/sees/interacts with everyday/every once in a while but don't have much of a connection with (you know like a co worker you have small talk with or barely ever see)

Now for the plot :

After the father enters a comma the son starts to go from school to the hospital (they're very close to each other and you can say hugo is 5-7 years old and ) and visits his dad everyday and calls out to him hoping it'd wake him up

The mother scolds him for running off without super vision and that his dad won't wake up if he keeps calling him that whatever he does is useless that his father will remain to be a lifeless bag of meat on a bed

Hugo doesn't give up ignoring his mother's words

She realizes that hugo has an obsession with his unconscious father that is affecting his studies along with his social life

Zacharie doesn't make this any better because he offers to pick up hugo after school to prevent him from getting abducted or lost along with his jokes all the time

She slowly starts to Contemplate turning off the life support machine wondering if it would fix everything

Hugo hasn't been paying attention in class and thier marriage has been having a issues lately her family never liked or accepted him she sees zacharie and others as annoying and problems bringers and maybe they'd have less expenses if hugo didn't have to go to baseball pratice every day not to mention he'd less likely get hurt if he stopped playing

Everyone else started to convince her to turn off life support they discuss this next to the unconscious father

She prevents zacharie from seeing hugo and locks out any other connections the fatehr has

finally she becomes convinced however there's 1 barrier preventing her from doing that.....Hugo

The only person who truly gives hugo attention and love is his father without his father he'd feel lost and scared his mother is always working and doesn't give him much attention

Everyone tells him to give up on his dad and move on but hugo stands his ground

Alot of the arguments and conversations happen in the hospital room next to the father so he hears everything in his comma which leads to the creation of the world of OFF in his head

Therefore we play as hugo through out the game (dressed in a baseball outfit) solving puzzles and fighting enemies "purifying" the world

Not much changes the boss battles the add ons etc. Will remain the same in this au

Maybe there will be more rubber duck /duck/ bird themed stuff in this au aside from the pedalos (ex:move the boxes to make them look like a duck idk lol)

However the final boss will change

Canonly batter is stopped by the judge but in this au the judge sides with hugo because its the queen (the mother) who is trying to turn the switch off and hugo is trying to prevent that

So instead of the judge stopping hugo

Hugo will meet the queen, she will tell him to halt and not bother going any further that her intentions will not change hugo will begin to tell her off everything she's done wrong she will respond saying that she's doing it for thier sake (Hugo's and her's) but hugo calls her out and tells her its not true and she loses her patience with him leading to a boss fight if hugo wins then she will refer to him as "my little sweetheart" and fade into dust

"The room" will also change instead of hugo it'll be his dad (the batter)chained to a wall (basically a prisoner in his own mind) hugo will take 1 step forward activating a trap causing him to plummet down a tube and fall unconscious for a few minutes

When he wakes up he sees the queen and all the guardians standing before him the queen states that he can give up or die trying then she speaks to the puppeteer (the player) the you are given 2 options

1.aide with the queen

2.side with hugo

If you side with the queen you will have the guardians ok your side then Hugo's appearance will change as well he will appear to have a large head with a huge gaping mouth a baby rattle and apron and speech bubbles that say "wah wah" "whine whine" (stating that his mother sees him as a cry baby)

If you defeat hugo then the switch is immediately turned off and it gives 1 out of the 2 bad endings this ending is called "check mate" as a reference to a queen from chess

If you side with hugo then you will be defeated but you won't get a game over yet instead the queen will give you 1 last chance

Then you are given 3 options

1."surrender" 2."gasp for help" 3."cry"

If you choose surrender then you will get the 2nd bad ending in which in life support is turned off the father dies hugo becomes lonely with his mother busy all the time (and not allowing him out side the house and not trusting people) which leads to hugo growing up cold,plain and unloving

At some point there's a scene where adult hugo stares at his old mother laying on the kitchen floor in pain for a few minutes instead of helping her immediately indicating that he doesn't care

If you choose "gasp for help" then you will get the good ending "aye batta batta,strike!" In which hugo will call for help (while in deep pain from the fight) after a few calls judge,zacharie,sugar and a few elsens will come to the rescue and revive you fighting by your side allowing you to defeat the queen and guardians

Everything slowly starts to go back and the father wakes up from his comma everyone in the room stares in shock but hugo had the biggest smile on his face while standing next to his dad's bed "did...I miss something?"

"...daddy *breaks into tears*"

The 3rd ending called "better late than never" is triggered when you choose "cry"

Hugo will cry very loudly

The mother changes her mind and doesn't turn off life support but hugo stops visiting his dad and similar to the 2nd bad ending hugo grows up to be cold and unloving 13-16 years later hugo visits his father again and he finally wakes up from his comma and is discharged from the hospital after 1 year of rehabilitation therapy

By now the mother had remarried and the father missed his son's childhood so now he has to relive his life

However hugo meets a girl who is a complete opposite to him at work and church (rainbow hair,optimistic,enjoys music of various kinds,loves cute things,baking,jokes,and artist etc.) And is forced to work with her as well as she tries to get Hugo's attention so he asks his father for advice on how to get rid of this woman which leads to alot stuff going on and hugo allowing how to love and live life leading him to falling in love with the girl and becoming a new man

(This is personally my favorite ending lol and I MIGHT write fanfic of it on wattpad or here idk tbh )

Anyway this my OFF au I GUESS the name can change to the ON au or OFF/ON au lmao idk

SO. lots of ideas under the cut but as a heads up there are ❗mentions of drugs and addiction❗ since i bring up passione's drug trade

1) i am ALWAYS thinking about what if diavolo and doppio (and dio) got some therapy and had people in their lives who genuinely cared abt them (MAYBE VILLAINS MAKE ME SAD AND I WANNA BE NICE TO THEM B/C THEN MAYBE THEY WONT ALSO BE SAD!!!!) and i may or may not be working on a very long reader insert fic where that is indeed the case lol

BUT!!! in that case of therapy-gaining and other such things, diavolo isn't so paranoid and obsessed with completely erasing his personhood for a fucked up sense of safety and control, and i imagine he and doppio did both genuinely love donatella and trish might remind them of her, so they actually take her in and try to be good dads (and in my very cool and sexy just-about-everyone lives not-even-AU b/c eyes of heaven is legit canon and it said all the jobros are fine and we all know la squadra really teamed up with bucci gang because they have the same goal [TAKES A DEEP BREATH FROM RANT] it clicks for doppio that trish is his kid too and he turns against diavolo)

as for where giorno fits in, that depends on whether or not diavolo ends the drug trade. i imagine that that's part of the whole 'you don't have to take from everyone else to have security for yourself' thing, but if not and the trade continues, i think he would at least end it in the case of taking trish in because now he has that perspective of being a dad, and the thought of his kid suffering with addiction for some asshole's profit--yeah, he refuses to do that shit anymore, he shuts that down real fuckin quick. so giorno may or may not still join for the purpose of ending the drug trade, but even if not for that reason, he was still cared for by gangsters when no one else did and still be very inspired and wanting to participate in the more community care focus of organized crime, so he would still join, just maybe not with the immediate goal of overthrowing the boss because there's no need.

2) SO IN THE CASE OF ALL THAT STILL HAPPENING AND SORLATO JUST ESCAPE CIOCCOLATA AND SECCO: ur totally right that diavolo would only send those two if necessary, he seems to have at least one (1) moral in the sense that he despises them, but keeps them around to act as his boogeymen. so sorlato have good intel, risotto says sign me the fuck up, and i honestly think the rest of la squadra would too!!!! they all go rogue to find trish after all, what they want is better standing and they know they have the power as a well-working squad of stand-user assassins to take over the boss, that's why diavolo tried to stamp down on them so hard in the first place. get them info to work off of, and they're on it.

as to whether or not they'd team up with bucci gang in this case: their goal is to take over for themselves because they've been treated so poorly, so i don't think they would necessarily seek out other dissatisfied people in passione because there's a lot of infighting between different squads and they trust each other but they wouldn't trust other people in passione. but if they happened to maybe catch wind of bruno and his abhorrence for the drug trade (something that may have to be dug up since bruno doesn't necessarily advertise that to others in passione because that's a recipe for trouble) and his powerful stand, they might offer a deal with him, because he'd be in it for something other than his own profit so as long as la squadra held up their end of the bargain there'd be no need to worry about backstabbing

whether or not bruno would take the deal is another story, because he initially wanted to rise in the ranks to end the drug trade and said FUCK IT and went rogue because diavolo was going to kill trish. the whole sorlato incident was two years prior to the events of vento aureo, so it's 1999 and trish and giorno aren't there and im pretty sure mista wouldn't be either cause i think bruno had taken him in a year prior. so it's bruabba and two rowdy sons. im not sure whether bruno would take the deal or not cause he seems like to kind of guy who wants to play it safe and slow and make sure all his bases are covered before making drastic decisions, so he might he might not, but he would at the very least seriously consider it.

as for how it would go: la squadra were feared for good reason, risotto alone nearly ended doppio and diavolo, and they might not even have bruno's squad against them along the way because it's not like they're guarding trish (and even if bruno's squad was sent to find them or something, they'd be doing it without golden experience, sex pistols and spice girl, and bruno may like his squad's chances better against diavolo than all of la squadra). with the whole squad working together with solid intel, they could absolutely overthrow him.

I have a thought I wanted to ask you, what do you think it’d be like if sorbet and gelato didn’t die? (In my own head my oc is able to save them but that’s neither here nor there) like I’m truly curious? I mean they have info on the boss AND they were nearly killed would so I’d assume they still go after them— like would they tell risotto an the others like oh btw haha nearly got killed by the boss ??? I dunno I’m just what are your thoughts on this? (I love them and want them to love damn it)

OOOOO GOOD QUESTION..... my personal favorite sorlato living scenario is diavolo and doppio get some THERAPY and learn to be a little less terrified of everything + that you can still maintain control and safety over yourself without stripping that from others + fear by itself is a flimsy form of security and you need to actually provide something good to secure meaningful lasting loyalty, so there's no need to beat down la squadra in fear of their power so la squadra aren't bitter so sorlato don't feel the need to poke around on the boss!!!! everyone wins.

BUT in the scenario that all of that still happens and they just escape cioccolata and secco: if they have meaningful info on the boss i imagine they would tell risotto THAT THEY HAVE IT and then let him make the call to actually HEAR it and get the rest of the squad involved, which if they have a solid lead, i imagine risotto would want to follow it (since they went rogue when they learned about trish) and give the rest of the squad the choice to hear the info and join or leave (like bruno did at that turning point). if they don't have that info and were just found out in trying to get it, i don't imagine they'd want to get the rest of the squad involved. they'd probably go on the run and try to uncover that info before going back to the squad.
