max breaks his wrist during the first week of the off-season.
cw: max breaks his arm, r is a bit rattled, some blood, a naked shower, intimacy, mentions of sex
a/n: c'mon. you know he'd be so annoying. good thing we love him. [i wrote this before the season ended and then...never posted it. so, here, have it before we start all this shit over again in a few weeks.]
__
You are not there when it happens.
You're asleep, actually, curled up on Max's couch with the cats while he enjoys the first week of the off-season. The celebrations have ended and there is a great deal of work to be done in the next few months, but everyone gets a little bit of respite.
Vacation will come after the holidays. That's the plan, anyway. The last few days have seen you in Monaco, mostly inside Max's place. Just spending time together, relaxing, watching movies, rumpling his sheets. Today, though, he and Danny decided to go on a world-class-athlete-level bike ride.
Which is why you're on the couch. They've been gone all day and you don't expect Max to get home until later. You ran errands, cleaned a little, and then took an afternoon nap.
As you rouse from it, you fumble for your phone to check the time. The screen lights up and you're greeted with --
35 texts. 4 missed calls.
"What the hell?" you mutter, sitting up and opening everything.
DR: sorry for the three calls don't freak out but i think max broke his arm
DR: he says you're probably napping but i'm going to document this for when you wake up
DR: he's fine but yeah that shit is fucked
DR: he says not to tell you he fell off his bike but he fell off his bike
DR: he braked for some animal in the road and went over his handlebars
DR: oh he also scraped his face but he's still pretty, don't worry
DR: his palms are fucked though which is why he's not texting you
DR: we're on the way to the hospital, btw
DR: you're gonna be so pissed when you wake up
It goes on like that. Daniel, to his credit, has given you a play-by-play of the whole situation. You've only been asleep for about an hour and based on the time stamps this started right after you fell asleep.
You get up as you read, grabbing your things and trying to find your shoes as you read. You need to -- you need to go and be wherever they are. You need to help. Heart racing, chest tight, you need to be near Max as soon as possible, even though Danny said he's okay. If this was you, Max would already be there. God, why did you take a nap?
According to the texts, they got to the hospital and he was seen immedietly, x-rayed, and bandaged up. Broken right wrist, Danny had said. He's pissed more than anything.
You're about to call him back when your phone rings in your hands.
"Danny," you say as soon as you accept it.
"Oh, thank fuck," Daniel exclaims. "I thought I was going to have to surprise you in person with the whole thing."
"I'm about to leave, just give me 15 minutes to get there--"
"No, no, no," he interrupts you. "He just got discharged. I'm bringing him home."
You stop in your tracks, one foot shoved halfway into your sneaker. "Really?"
"Yeah, we'll be there in like, 20 minutes?" You can hear Max saying something in the background. "He wants to talk to you," Danny sighs. "Mate, you'll see her soon--"
He's cut off and there's some muffled noises and then Max is saying your name.
"I'm fine," he says. "I only made him tell you so it wasn't a surprise when I came home."
"Max," you sigh, shoulders creeping away from your ears at the sound of his voice. "I'm so sorry, I was asleep!"
He laughs. You feel a bit weepy, which is both an overreaction and cathartic. "Good," he says. "The whole experience has been a pain in the ass."
"You're coming home now? Are you in pain?"
"Eh," he says, dragging out the sound. "They gave me something while they set it so I don't feel it much. Daniel says we'll be home soon. Oh, hold on --" There is some muttering, Danny's voice in the background. "Okay, I'm going to give you back. See you soon, liefje."
"Okay," you say softly.
"Be there in a flash!" Danny says brightly. "Seriously, don't worry."
You hang up and just stand in the hallway, at a loss. Something bad happened to Max and you weren't there. It feels wrong. Not that he's in poor hands with Danny -- quite the opposite. He's probably the only person aside from yourself that you'd want there for Max in a crisis. But, god. You wish you had been there.
The cats weave around your ankles as you pace, waiting for Danny to call or for the door to open or, anything at all to happen. Your mind is running a million miles a minute. Objectively, it's the best time for Max to break something. There isn't even a car for him to test right now and he had at least another week of time off before needing to go back to Milton Keynes. This might throw a wrench in your holiday plans but you couldn't care less about that. How long will he be in a cast? You assume he's in a cast. What kind of help will he need? Will you be enough to provide it? What if he --
Noises in the hall make you freeze and then you hear Danny's voice. You bolt to the door, unlatching the locks and pulling it open. You're greeted with the sight of the two of them -- Danny looking down at Max's keys in his hands, both of their backpacks on his back. They've both changed out of whatever ridiculous bike outfit they must have been wearing for the ride, but you devote your attention to your boyfriend.
You can see the bandages on Max's knees and forearms where he must have scraped himself up on the road. His wrist -- it's in a black cast that runs the length of his forearm. He cradles it to his chest in a sling they must have given him and then you make your way to his face. A few scratches along one cheek, hair a mess, mouth drawn into a frown. A frown that relaxes slightly when you meet his gaze. Your eyes well with tears.
"Max," you breathe. He steps in front of Danny and meets you in the doorway, his cast-free hand cupping your face through the bandages on his palm.
"I'm fine," he says. "You're looking at me like I'm in a coma."
"Sorry," you whisper. "I just --"
He tugs you to him gently, pressing your face into his neck and rubbing your back. You try to be careful of his arm as you breathe deep and will yourself not to actually lose it.
"Guys, can we at least go inside?" Danny asks.
Max huffs and you pull away. He drags his thumb under both of your eyes but doesn't comment on the dampness he finds there. "Inside, liefje."
Danny drops Max's stuff and passes along the documents from the hospital. He's quite the personality but he's all business when he needs to be. "Pain killers in his bag. Call me if you need anything, guys."
You step away from Max long enough to throw your arms around Danny. "Thank you," you whisper. "For looking after him." For calling. For bringing him back to me. For doing what I should have been there for.
He chuckles. "Alright," he says. "Max should break something more often."
Once Danny leaves, it's just the two of you. Max has settled on the couch, head leaning back into the cushions.
"Come sit with me," Max calls. "God, I forgot how much I hate hospitals."
His eyes are closed and he holds his arm gingerly. It's not the first time you've seen him injured -- you've been at his side in the medical tent before after watching him careen into a wall at 190mph. And yet, right now, you're still so upset.
You settle into the cushions on his left side and just watch him.
"I'm sorry," you say again. Max's eyes open. "I can't believe I was asleep when Danny called."
Max shakes his head. "What would you have done?"
"I could have come to get you and take you to the hospital, or just met you there, or--"
He puts his hand on your knee. "Come on," he says. "Don't be silly."
How do you explain it to him? How do you tell him that something happening to him feels like it happened to you? That not being there feels like a personal failing?
"Will you tell me what happened?"
He sighs and you pull his palm from your leg to hold it in your hands.
"It's stupid," he grimaces. "You don't need the details."
"Max."
He folds. Other people in his life have called this your superpower -- Max's will is iron clad. It is very difficult to get him to do something he does not want to do. But one word from you, one soft look, one gentle touch, and he often relents. It's like you can peel back that layer of him that has hardened out of necessity. To protect himself and his heart, to make sure he's taken seriously, to stop things from hurting.
It's like you remind him that it's okay to feel, even when it's hard.
"Daniel summed it up," he grumbles. "We were biking down a hill outside the city and something ran out into the road in front of me. I stopped. Or tried to, at least." He mimes squeezing the breaks, fingers curling in towards his bandaged palms. You stroke his unbroken wrist with your thumb.
"And you went over," you finish.
"And I went over. Got my knees, my forearms, my hands. My wrist, obviously. Just landed badly."
You reach for his face ever so gently, dragging the pad of your thumb over the shallow scrapes on his chin, his cheek. He allows it, knowing that you need to touch him to be sure he's okay. Whenever he has a crash on track you have trouble letting him out of your sight for hours. You just need to look at him, feel him warm and alive under your hands.
"I'm going to write a letter to your helmet manufacturer," you say, not entirely kidding. You slide your hand over his temple and into his hair. It's dirty, you can feel it, but you cradle his skull all the same. "Thank them."
He laughs once, amused with your sincerity. "I need to shower," he says. "But I can't get this wet." You finally direct your attention to his broken wrist, the entirety of his forearm and hand encased in the cast under the sling.
"Does it hurt?" you ask again. Max would tell anyone else off for badgering him so, but he keeps his face soft and reassures you.
"It's strange," he says. "I'm sure I'll feel it later."
"Did it hurt?" you whisper. "When you broke it?"
You know that Max has felt a great deal of pain in his life. His day job requires it -- physical, mental, emotional. He knows how to handle it and get over it. But he's also honest with you, always.
He wrinkles his nose. "It wasn't nice," he confesses. "I knew right away."
You grimace. In the silence, you match your breaths to his and just sit together for a little while.
And then Max's stomach growls.
"Whoops," he says, grinning crookedly. Still an athlete, still a boy with a fast metabolism. You can't help but laugh.
"How about this," you begin, unfolding yourself from the couch and standing in front of him, hands on your hips. Max looks up at you like you're the best thing he's ever seen. "I order some food and then we get you showered while we wait for it. Let the scrapes breathe and keep your cast dry, then we eat and watch a movie and go to bed. Okay?"
"We get me showered?" He sounds skeptical.
"You think you can wash your hair on your own?"
He smirks. "I can do a lot with one hand."
You roll your eyes. "So you're turning down an opportunity to shower with me, is what I'm hearing."
Max gets himself off the couch and rests his palm on your hip. "No," he says softly. "I'm not that stupid."
He kisses you lightly and heads for the bathroom.
"I guess we can wrap it in a plastic bag, or something?" you call after him. It takes a few minutes of opening and closing cabinets for you to find one. You put in a delivery order and make your way to the bathroom. Max has already turned on the shower and you find him shirtless and peeling off his bandages in in front of the mirror.
"Let me do that." He doesn't put up much of a fight, not even wincing when the tape pull at his skin. You see the gashes on his forearm, the raw skin of his palms. "Arm, please." The plastic bag goes around his cast and you tie it at his elbow.
"You planning to wash my hair while wearing your clothes?" Max asks with a straight face.
You stare at him, trying to seem unimpressed. He breaks first, mouth pulling up at one corner before he shucks off his soft shorts and briefs in one go. He pecks you on the cheek and gets in the shower, still smirking at you through the glass door.
"Alright, alright," you mutter. "So dramatic."
You feel Max's eyes on you as you undress, leaving your clothes on a pile on the floor.
The shower is unnecessarily big but Max does not give you much space. The hot spray is at his back and he keeps his plastic bag-clad arm mostly out of the way.
"Feel good?" you ask. Max sighs but nods. You'll bet he's aching but hasn't admitted it. He turns to the side so you can catch some of the spray, too, fighting off the chill outside the warm water.
"I might fall asleep in here," he mutters.
"That'll be the painkillers, darling," you tell him. "C'mon, get your hair wet."
Max tips his head back. You readjust so that you can card your hands through it. You shampoo him gently, taking your time and massaging his scalp. It's a miracle he stays on his feet, but he does. You hum as you work and Max's breaths get deeper, slower.
"Head back," you say softly. He obeys. You do the same with some of your conditioner because you know he likes how it smells.
This shower feels more intimate than the countless hours you've spend in his bed, tangled up in one another. He's been inside you and yet this feels more vulnerable. He's totally ceding control, trusting you to take care of him. You're naked, slick bodies brushing, always touching whether it's your hands in his hair or Max's own fingers reaching for your skin just to feel.
One time, when you were sick, you couldn't muster the energy to take a shower. Max ran you a bath and washed your hair for you, talking all the while because you asked to hear his voice. It's obvious that you'd do the same for him, as you're doing now. It's just how you love each other -- all the way, all the time. When it's easy and when it's hard.
"Danny was right," Max says, words slurring half from bliss and half the fatigue of the day catching up to him. "I should break bones more often."
You finish rinsing him and just stand there in the spray for a few moments.
"Please, no," you groan, brushing wet strands back from his forehead. "If you want me to wash your hair I will, Max. You don't need to break anything."
His eyes flutter open and find yours. He smiles lazily and you turn off the shower.
"If you say so," he says. "Can we take this off, now?"
Bag removed, skin patted dry, comifes on. The food comes when you're settling Max on the couch with a pillow for his arm. In all likelihood he'll manage a few bites of take out and fall asleep 15 minutes into the movie. But he needs the rest, you think. And besides, he'll have you to watch over him.
__
It becomes clear remarkably quickly that Max is an awful patient. You sort of knew this -- he's been sick a few times when you're around, but you figured that was just man-disease. Whining, refusing to sit still. This is 10x worse. He won't let you do anything for him until he's proven that he can't do it himself. You consider locking him in your bedroom to keep him from trying to do things he shouldn't do.
Max just wasn't made to sit still.
But you can empathize -- it's frustrating to not be able to do any of the things he really likes to do. Drive, use his sim, even play regular video games. It's a lot of movies and long walks and leg days with his trainer.
And then there's the way he just won't ask for help. That's a Max Verstappen original and you know it gets worse when he's frustrated. You do it too -- everyone does. But Max wants to do everything himself, wants to prove that he can.
You try to sit back and let him work it out. About a week after he comes home with his arm in a cast, he calls your name. You're in the kitchen, staring into the open fridge and wondering if you should order more groceries or just go to the shops yourself.
"You okay?" you call back. "Where are you?"
"Bathroom,"he shouts.
Ah, you think. Here we go.
He hasn't shaved yet. You've always loved when he keeps his facial hair a little longer. You love the feel of it on your skin and how it lightens along with his hair when you're on holiday somewhere nice. It's more likely that he keep it long in the off-season. Hot races are a nightmare with a beard, he's said. It itches like mad.
"Coming," you call.
Sure enough, you find him in front of the sink, razor in hand and frown firmly in place. He makes eye contact with you in the mirror and even though you can feel his annoyance from here, the set of his jaw softens.
"Do you think you could help me shave?" he asks. No lead up, no hem and haw.
"Of course, Max."
You quickly work out that sitting on the counter next to the sink while he stands between your knees works best. His broken wrist hangs at his side, the other hand resting on the counter next to your leg.
You lather him up, carefully applying the white foam of his shaving cream on his cheeks, his chin, his neck. He's got a fancy razor, one that will probably make it hard to cut him. Still, you feel the way he's basically handed you a blade and asked you to use it on him. In so many ways it's one of the most intimate things you've ever done. Even more than the showers you've had this week, just chatting and washing his hair.
"I'll be careful," you say softly.
"I know." He tilts his chin up, showing you his neck. "Go on, then."
It's quiet work. You're focusing hard and Max seems content to allow you. Stroke after stroke, rinsing the razor in the sink. You keep one hand at the base of this throat as the other works, gliding it over his skin. Cheeks, jaw, upper lip. Chin, neck.
"I like your beard, you know," you say when you're almost done. He waits until you're rinsing the razor again to reply.
"I do," he says, smirking. "You aren't quiet about it."
The last patch comes off as easily as the rest and you grab a damp towel to clean the rest of the shaving cream. Max appears to have relaxed enough to become pliant, leaning into your touch as you finish. He lets you rub moisturizer into his cheeks, eyes fluttering closed. His hand ends up on your leg, fingers pressing into the flesh of your thigh.
"Cheeky," you mutter. He smiles, boyish and easy. You take your time, pleased that he's letting you, but also because you could touch him forever. "Schatje," you whisper, trying to make it sound like it does from his lips. "All done."
Max doesn't move. You frame his face with your hands and lean in until your lips touch. You feel his smile against yours, but he dutifully tilts his head to deepen the kiss. His freshly shaved skin is so soft. You've kissed thousands of times by now, but you can never get enough of him. The way he responds to your every move, meeting your pressure with some of his own. Your tongue with his, swallowing your moans and giving you his own like a gift.
It's Max who pulls away, dragging his lips over your cheek.
"Dankje," he whispers. It means more than that, you know. From Max, it means thank you for dealing with me, for taking care of me, for loving me.
He doesn't think any of that is easy for you. But he's wrong. It's the easiest thing in the world.

You knew it would be a mistake to step into his office, but you couldn't ignore it. A few weeks have passed since what happened and clearly you couldn't stop think about it, but at the same time you felt guilty. You cheated on your boyfriend even though you basically just paid him back. Well, it wasn't you. You never did such impulsive things. You didn't tell anyone about what happened, despite the fact that your friend suspected you of something.
"Come in." You were snapped out of your thoughts by a man's voice that sent chills down your spine. You took a deep breath and stepped inside, immediately meeting his gaze, which you couldn't quite place. He was sitting on a chair and his hands were on the table, as if he was waiting for you to sit down. As soon as you looked around the room, you remembered everything that happened. The way he fucked you against the desk, the way he told you words that you would like to hear again.
"You wanted to see me, sir?" You put your thoughts behind your head and broke the silence that was between you two. He laughed at your 'sir' and shook his head. He pointed with his hand to the place in front of him for you to sit down and so you did. You sat down on a chair and put your hands on your thighs and cleared your throat nervously.
“Weeks ago you called me San, now you call me sir, again.” With a raised eyebrow he said as if he wanted to indicate something, but you didn't know exactly what. He sighed when you remained silent at his words and he leaned his body more against the seat, not taking his eyes off you. San scanned you, your hair was down and you were wearing a t-shirt that once again hugged your body too well. He cleared his throat when he realized that thoughts lead where they don't belong, but damn why did you have to look so fucking good. Your lips were slightly parted as if you were about to say something, your eyes looked at him with that look that drove him crazy.
"I think-" You took a deep breath and looked at him. "I think we should forget about what happened. It could affect my studies and-" if he was telling the truth, he really didn't expect this. He was expecting something like it shouldn’t happen again or that you should be careful about this? Did he feel… duped? Forget what happened? How the hell do you want him to forget?
“Yeah, It could affect my job so I agree.” But he did not argue and only nodded. He had nothing to say to you even if he wanted to scream at you, Kiss you and do it again and again without any consequences.
"That's all I wanted to talk about. You can go.” His words were sharp, toxic. Something inside you broke, your heart shattered as if you had been stabbed in the heart. Why did you want him to say something else? To say that he doesn't want to forget. That he wants it again and again.
"Okay." With those words, you stood up and turned around. Before you left, you gave him one last goodbye look and then left. You let him sit there, thinking about the fact that he should have stopped you and told you how he really feels. But he knew that he would hurt you and himself.
“Fuck-“ San mumbled under his breath and ran a hand through his hair, when you left. He didn't want to forget what happened, even if it was just an one time thing. He wanted to help you so that you wouldn't feel stupid that your boyfriend cheated on you, but rather he did it for himself because he couldn't stay away from you.
-
"Are you okay, babe?" Your boyfriend’s voice interrupted you when he noticed how you were playing with the food with your fork. Your expression was nervous, tired, something he hadn't seen in you that often.
"What?" You shifted your gaze from the food to him and swallowed loudly when he gave you a puzzled expression. "It's nothing just school stuff." You lied to him and gave him a smile, he nodded at your words and smiled back. Then there was a silence between you, which you didn't like that much, but you weren't in the mood to break it. Your thoughts were elsewhere. You were lost. You were lost in your own head.
“We should go on a dinner tomorrow, to take a break from the stress." He proposed to you with a nice smile and you took a sip from your drink, nodding at his suggestion and smiling at him. "Yeah, that would be great." You really weren't in the mood to go somewhere social, but you didn't refuse.
“Is something bothering you, y/n?” With that he suddenly asked and the fork fell from your hand to the floor. "I-..." you opened your mouth and were about to tell him everything that happened, but then you closed your mouth. “No. I am just tired as I said." That's the only thing you told him and he didn't discuss it further, even if he didn't believe you. Well, he wasn't planning on arguing with you or anything like that so he just nodded his head and continued to eat his food.
After dinner you lay down in bed and took your phone in your hand, your boyfriend was lying next to you and he was also on his phone. You decided to check whether the results of the tests you wrote last week had not arrived yet. Your eyes widened when you saw that you didn't pass his class.
Didn't pass.
How? He tutored you, you wrote everything correctly there. You furrowed your brows at that and your anger rose. What's his problem? You didn't understand it. And that’s why you stayed after his class the next day.
“Professor, wait!” You shouted as he left the classroom and you caught up with him with quick steps.
"I have another class, Ms. Y/n.” His words were again sharp without interest, as if he was telling to leave him alone that he was not interested in talking.
"It won't be long, I just-"
"We will discuss it tomorrow during class, if you have some problem." He stopped and turned to you. His brows were furrowed and he wore glasses. You swallowed loudly at his words and sighed.
"I-..." You opened your mouth and were about to say something, but then you nodded. Despite the fact that you were angry that you didn't pass his class, you suppressed your anger again. His expression made you feel the respect you had for him. "Okay." You said and he left without another word. When he was out of your sight enough, he let out a sigh that he didn't even know he was holding back. He knew that you probably wanted to talk about why you didn't pass. But his reason was simple. He thinks you have more in you than what you wrote in the test. That’s why he didn’t let you pass, or maybe there was another problem?
“Asshole.” You muttered to yourself as you slammed the locker shut and an annoyed sigh escaped your lips. He was acting strange.
"Who is an asshole?" Your friend's voice rang out and you jumped a little. You did not expect that she would be here and that she would hear you.
"You scared me!" You punched her on the shoulder and she laughed at your words, but then immediately gave you a serious expression.
"Who were you cursing at?" She asked again, her curiosity growing. You raised your eyebrows at her question and pretended that you didn’t say anything before
"What? No one." You gave her a smile, but she still didn't believe you, she already knew you very well. "Your boyfriend again?" She leaned against the locker and crossed her arms over her chest, patiently waiting for your answer.
"No, of course not." You blurted out quickly and she just sighed and bit her lower lip as if she wanted to tell you something.
“You are acting weird lately. Is everything okay?” She finally asked and you ran a hand through your hair and furrowed your brows.
"I'm fine! Why is everyone asking me that”You said with a raised voice and your friend sighed and shook her head. She didn't understand why you were suddenly so angry and nervous. You were never like that, you always walked around smiling, but now you looked like you were going through something. When you realized that you had raised your voice at her and that you are taking out your anger on her for no reason, you swallowed loudly and squeezed your eyes.
"I'm sorry... I'm just tired." You rubbed your forehead and looked at her. She had a disappointed expression on her face, as if she understood you. "Yeah, I get it. Get some rest, y/n.” With her hand she stroked your shoulder. "And stop stressing about school." She added and gave you a sweet, friendly smile, which you returned in return.
You were nervous all day, probably because of school. Despite the fact that you were not in the mood to go to that dinner with your boyfriend, you went. You went to a romantic restaurant together and sat down, talked and joked. You felt that it was the same again as before and your stress subsided. "I will be right back, babe." He stood up and you smiled at him from behind the glass and he directed his steps to the bathroom. At that moment, his phone, which had its screen facing downwards, started ringing. Somehow you didn't pay attention to it, but when the phone rang several times, you gave up. You looked around the restaurant to see if he was coming back, but when you saw that he was nowhere to be found, you picked up his phone.
"When are you going to break up with y/n?"
"Babe, I want you. Please?”
"Can you come over tonight, we could have some fun?" ;).”
You swallowed at the texts and a tear started to run down your cheek.
“I’m back-“ A voice came from behind you and you gripped the phone tighter in your hand and gave him a hateful look.
"Babe, It's not what-"
"Save it. I don’t want to hear it. You didn’t change.” Your voice was hateful and your words were sharp, he leaned closer to you and wanted to stroke your shoulder, but you pulled away.
"Can we talk about it? Everybody is watching us, y/n. Calm down." He looked around nervously when he noticed people's curious looks. You wiped your tears and picked up your jacket.
“No.” You muttered. "We are done." You said and he shook his head at your decision. With those words you left and left him there alone. As soon as you left the restaurant, you put on your jacket and hugged your body. Raindrops began to fall on your skin, which you let out a sigh. You didn't know where to go. Only one place came to your mind. His apartment.
Flashback.
“She signed the papers.” He informed you and looked up from the phone to you and measured you. You already had your skirt on and put your t-shirt back on. "That's great!" You gave him a sweet smile and he sighed but then smiled. He leaned his body against his desk and ran a hand through his hair before resting his hands over his chest.
"Yeah, it is, but I will have to move out."
"Move out? Where?” You blinked fastly at him being confused. He could hear in your voice that you were a little afraid that he would leave, but you didn't try to show it in any way.
"You know the new apartments just two blocks away from school?” For a small moment, you thought about his words, but when you remembered the new apartments nearby, you nodded.
"Well, I already have papers set for this but I waited if she would sign the papers and she did so." He usually didn't talk that much, but now he wanted to. He wanted to tell you everything that was on his mind, and it didn't bother you at all. You liked to listen to him and you were glad that he was saying something that was bothering him. San looked at you nervously, as if he realized that he might be talking too much, but your words calmed him down.
"The apartments are beautiful and I think that it's a great opportunity to start a new life for you." Your words were soft and kind, it warmed his heart. Maybe it's an opportunity to start something new. Something that will fill him and make him feel good. He gave you a smile and his thoughts took him where they probably shouldn't have. Well, for a few seconds he imagined that he lives with you, but then he immediately put it behind him. It's impossible.
End of flashback
“Y/n?” The door in front of you opened and he appeared there. His hair was messy and his eyes were tired, he was wearing a black oversized T-shirt and gray sweatpants. It was strange because you didn't usually see this on him.
"I'm sorry to barge in here like this but-" You stopped talking for a moment and took a deep breath. "I didn't know where else to go." Your hair was wet and so were your clothes. He had a surprised expression on the shapes that you were standing here in front of him, your eyes completely red and your mascara smeared.
"Come in." The words he usually spoke gave a completely different meaning to you. He stepped back from the door and let you in, taking your jacket off your shoulders and hanging it on the hanger to dry. He then directed his steps into the kitchen and you followed him, looking around the apartment with your eyes. It was nice and new. Everything was in white and black colors, which you would expect from him.
Without another word, he took a sip of water and leaned against the kitchen counter while you kept looking around. He could see from your shape that something was wrong, otherwise you probably wouldn't be here. But he was surprised that you remembered his words from a few weeks ago. He didn’t ask you what happened, he just looked at you with his eyes and then put the glass down.
You watched with your eyes as he left suddenly and then came back with a dry T-shirt and sweatpants. "Go take a shower." He ordered and handed you dry clothes. You nodded at his words and he let out a sigh. As soon as he pointed in the direction where the bathroom was, you directed your steps there. When you stepped into the bathroom, you smelled his usual scent and you swallowed loudly at that. Then you took off your wet clothes and stepped into the shower. Immediately warm almost hot water touched your skin and you tried to wash away all the bad thoughts and the anger you still had inside. You were a fool to think it wouldn't happen again. You naively thought that everything would be the same as before.
A small sigh escaped your lips as the same scene replayed in your head as you slowly scrolled through the screen of his phone and read the texts. You still couldn't believe that it happened so suddenly. You spent quite a long time in the shower, and he thought that something had happened to you, but when he saw that you got out of the shower. Your hair washed and his clothes on you. The shirt he gave you was a little bigger, and the sweatpants too…
San cleared his throat and he pushed you a cup of tea infront of your face, which you graciously accepted and sat down on the couch next to him. You took a sip of the hot tea and looked ahead. There was an awkward silence between you, as if you were both thinking of what to say. Well, the only thing you could say was:
"Thank you." You muttered and looked down at the cup of tea you were clutching tightly in your hand. You had the feeling that if you clenched it even more, it would shatter into a million pieces. Like you an hour ago. "I broke up with him." You suddenly blurted out and he immediately turned his gaze to you. He raised his eyebrows slightly at your words as if he didn't expect it.
"Sorry to hear that." He actually lied, he was glad you were not together. That you did it. Did he feel happy? Relaxed? He didn't even know how he felt, but he only knew that deep down he was glad that it was so.
“He did it again.” You added and he furrowed his brows. He didn't like it, but even more he didn't like that you were here and that you were saying this to him.
"Why are you telling me this?" You shifted your gaze from the tea to him and gently parted your lips. You didn't know what to say to that. A tear ran down your cheek and you wiped it away with the tip of your fingers and swallowed loudly.
"I'm just confused." He laughed, he didn't even know why, but he found this situation funny. "Yesterday you told me that we should keep it professional and now you are here. Crying.” His words were sharp and unpleasant. You put the tea on the table in front of you and shook your head at his words that he was right. But why didn't you feel it that way?
"You are right. I-" as soon as you started to speak, he cut you off.
"Are you doing this on purpose or what?" His eyebrows were furrowed and he had a strange expression on his features that you had never seen on him.
“What? No! Of course not I just-“
“You giving me those eyes during class, showing up in my apartment.” He shook his head at you, he didn't care that the tears were running down your cheeks more and more. He wasn't really interested at this moment because he wanted to understand why you were doing all this. What is your deal? Distracting him?
“Tell me y/n. Why?” He raised his eyebrows and stared at you, patiently waiting for your answer. "Because I'm curious. You just show up here crying and telling me the same shit over again.” He let out a sigh and you just stroked your brows furrowed and lips parted, tears still running down your cheek. "Expecting what? That I will tell you It's alright and some other kind of shit?" He chuckled at his words and ran a hand through his hair, leaning further into the couch. His eyes were fixed in front of him, but you were watching him. You watched his every move and listened carefully to his sharp words that came from the depths of his heart.
"that I will hug you and whisper lovely words to your ear?" He added and then got back into the previous position to see your face. He could see on your face that you were taken aback by his words and that you didn't know what to say. “Well, I am not that kind of guy, if you thought that I would do that.” You took a deep breath when he finally finished and wiped your tears again and stood up from the couch.
"It was a mistake coming here." You muttered and when you were about to leave, his words stopped you.
"Yeah walk away. That's what you are best at." He had his elbows on his knees and watched carefully as you turned sharply at his words, tears were no longer running down your cheeks, but he could see from your features that you were angry. Angry because of what he said.
“Says you. You walked away from your wife and almost cried at my fucking shoulder after you fucked me.” Your words were full of anger, you were like a ticking bomb. He got up from the couch at your words and stepped closer to you. His jaw clenched and his Adam apple bopping every time he swallowed.
"I fucked you because I saw that you were desperate, remember?" He said and you shook your head at his words, you knew he was right but still you didn't let it go.
"I let you because you were so desperate to fuck someone who actually gives a fuck about you." You spilled those words into his face and at that moment he grabbed your wrist and pulled you closer, his hot breath touching your face.
"I can choose who I want to fuck, love. You would be surprised how many students came to my office and flirted with me. But I only fucked you, isn't that funny?" His words were ridiculous, he directly mocked you. He moved closer to your ear and his words sent a chill down your spine. "Should I remind you the words you said to me?" Your breath hitched and he saw it. He saw how you suddenly became nervous and also how a chill passed through your body, his words full of mockery and teasing. He knew very well the effect he had on you and he intended to use it very well.
"That I fucked you better than your boyfriend. Pfuu… y/n.” He pulled away from you to get a good look at you. "Tough words, right?" You swallowed at his words because he was right, but you still had no plans to stop throwing arguments at him.
"I only said that to make you satisfied and to boost your ego." Your words were funny to him so he just laughed at you and your stupidity.
"Your body said something else that time." San enjoyed how your body trembled gently and how his words always sent chills down your spine every time. But he thought it was very funny how you pretended that it had no effect on you and that you looked confident. “And now your body is saying something else too.” He shifted his eyes to your parted lips and how you immediately closed them and swallowed. You hated it as he had readen you from head to toe. How did he know what reacts to you and what doesn't.
“You asked why.” Out of the blue you changed the subject and his grip loosened on your wrist and he raised his eyebrows. He didn't understand where you were going with those words.
"What?" He asked you incomprehensibly and a small sigh escaped your lips, wondering if you really should say that. "I came because of you." You looked into his eyes and searched for something in them, maybe a hint of what he was thinking. That he feels what you feel.
"I came because I can't stop thinking about you. Fuck, you- you are driving me crazy.” Your words caught him by surprise and he immediately let go of your wrist and bit the inner corner of his mouth. “And fuck, yeah I expected you to hold me and tell me that it will be okay. I admit, okay? I even admit that I always walk away from the problems instead of solving them. And I’m sorry about what I said about your ex-wife. Fuck, I even admit that you fucked-“
“Just, shut up.” He interrupted you and immediately took your cheeks in his hands, using them to bring you closer to him and kiss you. Despite the fact that his words before were sharp and unpleasant, you let him kiss you. You wanted it. His touch on your cheeks was soft and warm and the kiss was soft and gentle. “You talk too much.” He said between kisses and his hands slipped to your waist, pulling you closer. The kiss became more dominant and passionate, he ran his tongue over your lips and you opened your mouth and gave him the freedom to push his tongue into your mouth. His tongue exploring your mouth with a hunger that belied his earlier resistance and you sighed as his hands slid to your ass and squeezed it.
He lifted your body by your ass and you immediately wrapped your legs around his waist and your arms around his neck. Without breaking the passionate kiss, he carried you to his bedroom and slammed the door behind him, leaning you against it. He let your body slowly slide off him and put one hand on your waist and the other on your cheek and caressed it gently. You slid your hand under his shirt and ran your fingers over his stomach, as he let out a shaky breath as your fingers traced his abs, his head falling back briefly. "Fuck, you're going to be the death of me," he muttered, quickly pulling his shirt off and tossing it aside.
“Yeah?” You asked him with a teasing voice still tracing your fingers slowly along his abs. "Yes, really," San growled at that, catching your wrists and pinning them above your head against the door, having enough of your teasing. He leaned in close, his lips barely brushing your ear. "One minute I'm pissed as hell at you, and the next..." He trailed off, pressing gentle kisses along your neck. “Then next I want to fuck you until the only word you remember is my name.” A slight moan escaped from your lips as he started to leave wet kisses along your neck.
His mouth curved into a satisfied smirk as he felt your body tremble against his. "Like that, do you?" he whispered, purposely leaving another wet mark just below your ear. His hands released your wrists, one sliding down to grip your waist while the other began pushing your shirt up, sending shivers down your spine. His cold hands touching your warm skin made you part your lips slightly and he noticed.
“So fucking sensitive," he murmured, his cold hand leaving goosebumps in its wake as he pushed your shirt higher. San broke the kisses on your neck just long enough to pull the shirt over your head and toss it aside, leaving you in just a lacy bra. His eyes darkened as he took in the sight of you, half-naked and breathing heavily against the door. He leaned in, his lips capturing yours in a rough, passionate kiss as his hands reached behind you to unhook your bra.
“Mhm~” Being too desperate you moaned into the kiss as the bra hit the floor silently, freeing your breasts. He growled softly as your breasts pressed against his bare chest, one of his hands coming up to grope one possessively. Your moan echoed in his mouth, making him harder.
“Fuck- San, I need-“ he cut you off immediately.
“Shut up." San said against your lips before kissing you deeply again, swallowing any further words. His hand squeezed your breast roughly as his hips pressed against yours, letting you feel how hard he was already. Breaking the kiss, he nipped at your bottom lip. "Pants off. Now." You swallowed at his sharp words and you slowly pulled your sweatpants down, keeping an eye contact with him as he watched you carefully, enjoying how you obeyed him.
His gaze remained fiercely locked with yours as you peeled off your sweatpants, a wicked grin spreading across his face when you stood before him in nothing but in your panties. “Those off too. Come on.” Without breaking eye contact, he ordered watching how your body trembled every time. Slowly you pulled your panties down as he watched you with a smirk on his face. God he liked how you obeyed him every time.
“On your knees.” When those words left his mouth you swallowed. At first you remained in your place not being so sure but his voice was heard again. “Come on, love. Get on your knees for me.” His voice was low, demanding and you slowly slid to your knees, looking up at him. With a soft touch he cupped your cheek and grinned at the sight of you being in front of him on your knees.
His thumb gently stroked your cheek as he leaned down and whispered, "Isn’t if funny how minute ago you screamed at me that you let me fuck you just because I was desperate to fuck someone who gives a fuck." He kept eye contact while he slowly pulled his sweatpants down, a smirk playing on his lips as you watched him. “Now, look at you, y/n. You are here again. Obeying like a slut.” You swallowed hard at his words and your body trembled even more as you watched how he pulled his sweatpants and boxers down in one swift movement and your breath hitched as you saw him fully naked now. He was huge just like you remembered. Long and thick. He smirked watching your reaction. "Now, put that smart mouth of yours in a good use, will you?”
With a shy look on your face you brought your lips to his length and a shudder ran through him as your lips barely brushed against the tip. San groaned quietly, his fingers twitching against your cheek. "What did I say, love?" His voice was low, furious as he grabbed you by your hair roughly and he pressed himself against your lips, silently urging you to take him in.
As soon as you opened your mouth, he pushed himself in, filling your small mouth instantly. He groaned as he hit the back of your throat, pulling your hair harder to keep you in place. "Look at me." he growled, his hips bucking slightly to push himself deeper. With a small tears in your eyes you looked up at him through your eyelashes as he enjoyed the sight of you. He enjoyed how you fell apart on his cock.
San's eyes darkened with lust as he held your gaze, drinking in the sight of you trembling slightly, tears glistening at the corners of your eyes. He smirked, pleased by how perfectly you were submitting to him. "You look fucking gorgeous with your lips wrapped around my cock," His thick length pulsed in your mouth as he admired the view—your pretty lips stretched around him, taking him so deep. "Such a good girl," His grip tightened in your hair, holding you firmly in place as he slowly thrusted, savoring the slick heat of your mouth.
You moaned against his cock immediately sending shivers down his spine at that, then slowly you made your way with your hand to your wet core, the pleasure being too much but his words cut you off right away. "No...don't you fucking dare." He warned in that deep, authoritative tone you loved. With one quick motion, he grabbed your wrist, preventing your hand from reaching its destination. "Only my hands get to touch you there tonight, got it?" His hips thrust forward again, making you gag slightly. You let out a little cry at his warning words and San smirked as he watched you suppress your whimper, pleased by your obedience. Keeping a firm grip on your hair, he began to thrust more deliberately, each stroke pushing deeper into your throat. The wet sounds of your mouth working his cock filled the room, punctuated by his low groans of pleasure.
“So pretty.” He tilted his head back, savoring the sensation as he hit the back of your throat perfectly, but then he looked back down at you, seeing the slight flush on your cheeks and the tears streaming down your face. He was close, so very close to bursting apart in your mouth. "So good, just for me, yeah?”
You moaned again and he let out a shuddering groan as your moan vibrated around his sensitive cock, the sensation almost too intense. The sight of you squeezing your thighs together desperately, unable to touch yourself yet trembling with need, pushed him over the edge. "Fuck, I'm gonna-" He threw his head back and with one final thrust, he buried himself deep in your throat and came undone, his hot seed spilling into your mouth as he let out a low, guttural groan. His hips jerked erratically as he rode out his release, eyes locked onto yours, intense and unblinking. You watched, mesmerized, as he came undone completely, his body shaking with the force of his orgasm. "Swallow it, come on.” Without second thought you swallowed all his release, squeezing your eyes.
He let out another groan as he watched you swallow every drop like it was the best thing you've ever tasted. Your throat worked sexily as you swallowed, making his spent member twitch again. "Goddamn," He muttered softly, petting your hair gently now instead of gripping it harshly.
“Please.” A whispered please escaped from your mouth as you squeezed your thighs more. His breath caught in his throat at the sight of you squeezing your thighs, desperate and needy. He knew exactly what you were begging for, he leaned down, cupping your chin in his hand. "What do you want, love?" He asked in a smooth, knowing tone.
“I need you. Please.” A small chuckle escaped from his mouth at your desperate cry, his fingers trailing down your chin to your throat. "You need what?" He asked, his voice dropping lower, "You need my hands on your thighs? You need my face between your legs? You need my fingers inside you? My cock?" You let out a shaky breath at his words, swallowing loudly.
“Please, make me feel good, San.” He smirked mischievously at you, grabbing you by your wrist tightly and pulling you up from the ground. You were immediately met with his intense gaze and his hot breath on your lips. “Please-“ When you started to beg again he silenced you with a harsh, bruising kiss, his other hand reaching to your hip, guiding you slowly to the bed. He broke the kiss, panting, "You want to feel good?" Your knees immediately hitting the bed and he showed you down on the mattress, watching you swallow and your breath becoming more heavier which made his cock twitch.
With your elbows you supported your body as you leaned back more and you observed him as he stood there watching you for a moment, admiring how perfectly you surrendered your body to him. Your chest rising and falling with anticipation, lips parted slightly. "Spread your legs," he commanded, his voice hoarse with desire. When you hesitated for just a moment, he added firmly, "Now." Without another second you spread your legs for him and he positioned himself between your thighs, his hands firmly gripping your knees to keep them spread wide. "Fuck," he muttered under his breath, seeing how wet you were, your pink folds glistening with need. He slowly ran his fingers along your slit, not penetrating but just teasing.
“Fuck-“ When you felt his finger ran along your slit you threw your head back and shut your eyes, begging with your little moans to be touched more.
“Eyes on me, love.” With a raised tone he grabbed you by your jaw and made you look straight into his eyes, his fingers splaying out to keep your knees spread wide. When he slowly pressed his tip against your wet pussy he watched your eyes roll back slightly but snapped them back to his with a sharp tug on your jaw. "You just won’t listen, will you?" he asked, his thumb rubbing your chin roughly. "You want to be fucked?” You were unable to concentrate when he pressed his tip on your wet pussy, teasing you. The only thing you managed to do was shake your head which wasn’t enough for him.
He saw the contradiction in your body language and smirked. "You don't want to be fucked?" he asked, pressing just the tip of his cock inside you, but not enough to satisfy your need. He was teasing you, loving the power he had over you.
“No! I want to be- I want to be fucked, please!” A dark laugh escaped his lips as he heard you beg for it. He leaned down, his breath hot on your ear. "That's what I thought," he whispered, driving his cock fully into you in one swift motion. You gasped, your back arching as he filled you completely, capturing your mouth into a deep kiss. Right away you moved your hands to his back and he groaned into the kiss, loving the way your nails dug into his back.
He started to move his hips, slowly at first, letting you feel every inch of him as he pulled out and thrust back in. He broke the kiss to nip at your neck, sucking and biting to mark you. Then he pulled away his dark eyes locked onto yours, demanding your attention and devotion. "Tell me who's fucking you this good." He lifted your chin with his hand as he continued to thrust into you deeply and slowly, his piercing hitting your g-spot with each thrust.
“Y-you.”
"What I didn’t quite hear you." He teased, his voice low and commanding as he continued his slow, deep thrusts, hitting your g-spot with each movement. His other hand reached up to wrap around your throat, squeezing gently as he looked into your eyes. "Say my name, love."
“San.” You moaned more louder and he smirked at that, enjoying how you are taking his cock so well. "Like that," He growled, thrusting harder. "You take my dick so well," He murmured, watching your body bounce slightly with each snap of his hips. "Spread your legs wider." He ordered softly, watching you eagerly obey.
"You know what I love?" You gasped as he thrusted deeper into you, gripping your hip more tight every time. He enjoyed the sight of you how you opened your mouth into a little ‘O’ when he thrusted more deeper, making you take his full length.
"Watching your pretty face while I destroy this tight pussy," He whispered darkly, increasing his pace. His hand around your throat tightened slightly, showing his possessiveness. His thumb traced your bottom lip as he continued pounding into you. "Christ you feel so good..." He leaned down to nip at your ear as he felt your nails dig deeper into his back as he hit that sweet spot inside you, making you cry out his name loudly. He smirked against your neck, loving the sound of your voice saying his name. His hips moved in a circular motion, hitting your g-spot from different angles as he spoke. “So glad you left- you left that boyfriend of yours.” The fact he was struggling with his words made you moan even more. “Now you are all mine. Right?” The grip on your throat tightening as he looked at you with a hungry gaze. “Say it that you are mine.”
“I’m yours.” As his dick was too much for you, you hid your face in the crotch of his neck, but he immediately pulled you back. "That's right, you're fucking mine," he growled possessively, capturing your mouth in a bruising kiss, bitting your bottom lip hard enough to draw blood, marking you. He continued to pound into you, the sound of skin slapping against skin filling the room.
“Y-yours.” Even though you were unable to breathe you repeated again but San hadn’t enough of it, yet.
"Again," His voice hoarse as he continued his brutal pace, his hands roaming your body possessively, squeezing your breast and spreading your thighs wider. "Say it like you mean it," He ordered, his eyes locked onto yours as he continued his punishing rhythm.
“I-…” You were moaning mess you couldn’t get a simple word out of you as he kept thrusting more rougher. He laughed at your state but still he said;
"Use that mouth yours like when you talk shit." He growled as his hips were snapping forward with each word. "Tell. Me. You're. Mine." He punctuated each word with a deep thrust, hitting your g-spot perfectly, his eyes burning with intensity as he watched you struggle to speak.
“I’m yours. Fuck-… only…” To catch a breath you paused for a second, “Only yours”
"Goddamn," Softly he muttered, slowing down his pace. He loved hearing those words from your mouth. Slightly, he pulled out then snapped his hips back in hard, making you cry out. He smirked wickedly. "You know what I wanna do?" Finally he moved your hand from your throat to your hip again and again he pulled out of you and then snapped his hips back in hard. With hunger in his eyes he watched you let out a little cry as he kept doing that for a while. But then he kept his pace slow and deep, dragging his piercing along your walls. "I wanna fill this pretty pussy up with my cum, mark you inside and out. Make sure everyone knows you're taken," He leaned down, biting your earlobe. "What do you say to that, love?" Your eyes widened at his words and a chill run down your spine.
“W-what?” Out of breath you asked him he chuckled darkly at your shocked expression, his slow thrusts maintaining their deep pressure. "You heard me," he murmured, his breath hot against your ear. "Want my cum inside you?" His hand slid down to rub your clit in tight circles, making your hips jerk involuntarily.
When his hand met your clit, teasing you, you let out a loud moan and shook your head in agreement watching him smirk at you mischievously loving the effect he had on you. At that he speeded up the pace again thrusting more deeper and rougher than before trying to chase your and his own high. His cock pounded into you with renewed vigor, his breath growing ragged and his eyes never leaving yours. "Fuck, you feel too good," he groaned, his fingers digging into your thighs as he spread them wider to accommodate his deep, brutal thrusts. "I’m gonna fill you up."
“Please.” With a loud moan you begged and you grabbed him by his cheeks, pulling him closer and kissing him roughly. He kissed you back fiercely, swallowing your desperate plea as he continued his relentless pace. His tongue invaded your mouth, claiming every inch as his cock claimed your pussy. "Fuck, you are so desperate for me." he teased breathlessly against your lips, giving a particularly hard thrust that made you see stars. He could feel that you were close when your walls started to clinching more on his dick.
"Are you gonna cum for me, love?" He whispered darkly, picking up the pace even more, his thrusts becoming almost violent, his pelvis grinding against your clit with every stroke. "Look at me when you come." He could feel his own release building, his muscles tensing. Moans echoed in the room as you sank your nails into his back once again as you came.
"Fuck, yes," he hissed at the sudden pain mixing with pleasure. His nails dug into your hips hard enough to leave marks as he surged forward, his entire body stiffening. He let out a guttural roar, his hot cum filling you up, overflowing and dripping down your legs. After that he didn’t pull out, he stayed inside you for a while pressing his forehead against yours, smiling softly at you. It was different than before. This didn’t feel like sex, like it did back then in his office. It felt more like love?…

"CAUGHT, KEPT, CRAVED" |Ch-1|

❥Pairing- Hunter!Satoru × Fairy!Reader
❥Synposis- Satoru Gojo never believed in fairy tales—until he found one standing right in front of him. A real, flesh-and-blood fairy, in his forest. He should’ve been concerned, maybe even terrified, but mostly? He was just shocked as hell.
Fairies weren’t real. They belonged in bedtime stories, not in the middle of his hunt, staring at him like he was the strange one. And yet, days passed, and she didn’t vanish like a dream. Instead, she became something else entirely—something dangerous, something forbidden. Keeping her close is reckless. Letting her go? Impossible.
❥Gerne/theme- MDNI. Explicit sexual content, lot of sexual tension, angst, hurt/comfort, mentions of death, forbidden love, fantasy AU, fire, abuse, possessiveness, SA attempts, longing, sacrifices, reunion, seperation, fluff too <3
→ WC- 10k
Satoru Gojo grumbled as he trudged through the dense forest, the heavy weight of his bow hanging against his back. The sun was high, casting harsh beams that barely broke through the thick canopy above, and yet, he still had to hunt. Of course, a hunter couldn’t survive without a kill, but he couldn’t help but feel frustrated.
Why did he always have to do this? It wasn’t like he needed the money that much—he lived alone, away from the cities, far from any expectations. His lifestyle was simple, and really, the whole hunting thing felt more like a chore than a necessity. But it was for his living, so here he was, walking through the damn forest again, tracking some monster or wild animal for dinner.
“I swear, if I see one more damn deer today—” he whined under his breath, kicking a stray branch out of his path. “I’ll—”
His words caught in his throat as he paused, his eyes narrowing at the sudden shift in the air around him. It wasn’t the normal breeze that rustled the leaves; no, this felt… different. Almost alive, as if the very forest itself was holding its breath.
He shook his head, chuckling bitterly at himself.
It’s just the wind, he told himself, moving forward again. But the deeper he ventured into the woods, the more uneasy he felt. Something was off. Something was watching him.
And when a faint, almost ethereal sound drifted through the trees—too soft to be an animal, too melodic to be anything but strange—he froze.
His instincts kicked in, the trained hunter in him waking up. The forest was quiet now. Too quiet.
“What the hell?” he muttered, his hand instinctively reaching for his bow, his eyes scanning the shadows.
Nothing.
He narrowed his eyes, trying to shake off the feeling. There was no way—he couldn’t afford to let his mind wander. Yet the sensation of being observed was growing stronger with every step. His pulse quickened, but instead of fear, there was an odd sense of curiosity—a pull, something he couldn’t explain.
With a quick exhale, he adjusted his grip on the bow and moved deeper into the forest, determined to uncover what was hiding in the shadows.
As he ventured deeper into the woods, a sudden loud thud echoed through the trees, followed by the unmistakable sound of something—or someone—crashing through the underbrush. Gojo’s eyes narrowed, a smirk tugging at his lips. Finally, some action.
He crept toward the source of the noise, his footsteps silent on the forest floor. As he approached, he spotted a foot sticking out from behind a large fern. He bit his tongue to suppress a chuckle. Whoever this was, they were about to get an earful.
Stepping closer, he peered around the fern to find a young woman sprawled on the ground, her wings—yes, wings—splayed out awkwardly beside her. She had a few branches and leaves tangled in her hair, and dirt smudged her cheeks. She looked up, eyes wide with surprise, and they both froze.
For a moment, neither moved. Then, in unison, they both screamed.
"AHHHH!"
Gojo stumbled back, nearly dropping his bow. "What the—?"
The woman scrambled to her feet, brushing off leaves and dirt. "Who are you? What are you doing here?"
Gojo blinked, still processing the sight before him. "I... I should be asking you that. What are you doing in my forest?"
She crossed her arms, her wings fluttering slightly. "Your forest? This is a public forest!"
"Not anymore," he retorted, smirk returning. "I just claimed it."
She rolled her eyes. "Typical. Another human thinking they own everything."
"Hey, I was here first," he shot back. "And last time I checked, humans were the dominant species around here."
She raised an eyebrow. "Is that so? Because last time I checked, humans were the ones who needed to be saved from themselves."
Gojo chuckled. "Touché. But seriously, what are you? Some kind of... fairy?"
She huffed, wings twitching slightly. "Yes. I am. And for the record, not all fairies are tiny and delicate. Some of us can hold our own."
Gojo stared at her for a solid few seconds before scoffing. "Yeah, okay. Sure. And I’m a royal prince."
She frowned. "What?"
"Come on," he waved a hand at her wings. "Fairies aren’t real. You can just admit it now before this gets embarrassing."
Her glare sharpened. "I am a fairy."
Gojo crossed his arms. "No, you’re not."
"Yes, I am."
"No, you’re not."
She exhaled sharply. "Why is this so hard for you to believe?"
Gojo threw up his hands. "Because fairies belong in bedtime stories! Magic, wings, flying around all sparkly—yeah, it’s cute for kids, but in real life? People don’t just have wings."
She rolled her eyes. "You're an idiot."
"No, I’m just sane," he shot back. Then, his gaze flickered back to her wings, still skeptical. "What even are those? You make them yourself? They’re kinda impressive, I’ll give you that."
She twitched. "They’re real."
"Right, sure." His smirk deepened as he stepped closer. "Bet they’re just attached to your clothes or something—"
Before he could finish, his hand reached out, fingers just barely grazing the edge of her wing—
SMACK!
"Ow!" Gojo yelped, stumbling back as she slapped his hand away with a force he definitely wasn’t expecting.
"I told you not to touch them!" she yelled, wings flaring wide.
Gojo clutched his hand, eyes wide. "What the hell?! That actually hurt!"
"It was supposed to!" she snapped, her face burning with irritation. "Do you go around grabbing random people's limbs too?"
Gojo blinked, still holding his hand. "Well... I mean, if I thought they were fake, yeah."
She groaned, shoving past him. "Unbelievable. I don’t have time for this."
"Whoa, whoa, wait!" He quickly stepped in front of her, arms outstretched. "Alright, let’s just—wait a second." His blue eyes studied her, skeptical yet intrigued. "So you’re really trying to convince me that you’re some mystical, magical creature, huh?"
She folded her arms. "I’m not trying to convince you. I am one."
Gojo tapped his chin. "Mmm. Nope. Still don’t buy it."
She scowled. "You just saw my wings!"
"Yeah, and I’ve also seen some very good costumes."
Her eye twitched. "I flew before I fell!"
"And I’ve seen people jump off roofs and think they’re flying."
She let out a long, slow exhale, visibly restraining herself from strangling him. "You're insufferable."
Gojo grinned. "So I’ve been told."
Silence hung between them, thick with tension. She was clearly done with him. He was clearly entertained by her frustration. And yet, neither of them moved.
The forest had gone eerily quiet. The wind barely rustled the leaves. It was as if the world itself was waiting to see what happened next.
Finally, Gojo spoke. "Alright, fine—I’ll play along. So, fairy girl, if you’re real... prove it."
She narrowed her eyes, a slow, knowing smirk creeping onto her face. "Oh, you’ll regret saying that."
Gojo raised an eyebrow, arms crossed. “Yeah, yeah. I’m shaking.”
Without another word, she stepped back, rolling her shoulders as her wings stretched to their full span. The soft glow of the setting sun caught on them, illuminating the delicate but powerful structure. Gojo barely had time to process the sight before—
Whoosh.
She launched herself into the air, wings beating with precise, controlled movements. Leaves and dust swirled around as she hovered effortlessly above him, the wind from her wings rustling his hair.
Gojo’s smirk faltered.
His brain short-circuited for a second.
She… flew.
Not jumped. Not swung from a branch. Not some elaborate trick of wires or illusions. No, she lifted clean off the ground, rising higher and higher with each beat of her wings.
“What.” His voice came out flat, his head tilting back as he followed her ascent.
She did a slow, mocking circle above him before descending just a few feet in front of his face, her arms crossed and a smug look plastered on her face.
"Still fake?" she taunted.
Gojo blinked. "Okay. Hold on. Wait a damn minute."
She rolled her eyes. "Oh, what now? Are you going to say I’m on some invisible ropes? A hallucination, maybe?"
Gojo rubbed his temples. "I'm the hallucination at this point. This—this doesn’t happen. People don’t just—fly.”
"Well, good thing I’m not people," she shot back. "Say it. Fairies are real."
Gojo pointed at her. "You have to be messing with me."
She hovered a little closer. "Say. It."
Gojo squinted at her. Then at the wings. Then at her feet. Then back at the wings. Then—
"…Nah," he said, shaking his head.
Her jaw dropped. "Excuse me?!"
"You’re still messing with me," he said firmly, though it sounded more like he was trying to convince himself. “This is—this is a trick. Maybe some weird physics thing I never learned. Or—or maybe I’m dehydrated. Yeah. Maybe I hit my head. That would explain why I’m seeing some girl floatin’ in front of me with—”
She sighed deeply before flapping her wings hard, sending a burst of wind directly into his face.
"—AGH, shit!" He stumbled back, hands shielding his face from the sudden gust.
She landed smoothly in front of him, looking pleased with herself. "Convinced now?"
Gojo, hair now an absolute mess, slowly lowered his hands. His expression was unreadable as he stared at her, the gears in his head practically screaming as they tried to process the impossible.
Then, finally—
“…Okay, so let’s pretend for a second,” he began, still skeptical but clearly shaken, “that you are some kind of fairy.”
She groaned. "Oh my god."
"Hey, I’m getting there!" He waved a hand. "It’s just—you can’t expect me to accept that just like that. Fairies aren’t supposed to be real. They’re myths. Fantasy stuff! Kids’ stories! You can’t just—just exist like this!"
"And yet, here I am," she deadpanned.
Gojo dragged a hand down his face. “You see why this is a lot to take in, right?”
"Oh, I do. You’re just painfully slow."
"Excuse you—"
"How about this?" She stepped forward, tilting her head. "Instead of standing here having an existential crisis, you start believing what’s right in front of you?"
Gojo inhaled deeply, exhaled slowly, and nodded. “Okay.”
She raised an eyebrow. “Okay?”
“Yes. Okay. I’m… open to considering the possibility that maybe—just maybe—you are not, in fact, a very dedicated prankster.”
She rolled her eyes. "Close enough."
Another pause. Gojo ran a hand through his hair, still visibly shaken.
“…So, uh,” he started, “if fairies are real, does that mean, like… elves are real, too? Or, like, dragons?”
She sighed. “Oh boy.”
Gojo stared at her for a long moment, his hands on his hips, lips pressed together like he was really trying to process what just happened. Then, with a deep sigh, he finally spoke.
"Okay. Fine," he muttered, rubbing his temple. "Maybe—maybe—you're actually a fairy."
She crossed her arms. "Wow. That must have hurt to admit."
Gojo shot her a look. "Yeah, yeah, don’t get too excited. But seriously—how? How is this even possible?" He gestured at her wings like they personally offended him. "People don’t just have these! There’s gotta be some explanation. Science? Magic? Divine intervention? Hell, did I eat something weird this morning?"
She just blinked at him.
Gojo stared back.
More silence.
Finally, she sighed and turned on her heel. "Yeah, nope. Not explaining anything to someone this stupid."
Gojo gasped dramatically, placing a hand on his chest. "Hey! First of all—rude. Second of all—I think I deserve some kind of answer here!"
"You think?" she scoffed, already walking away. "I don't owe you anything."
"You literally just fell out of the sky in front of me, flapped your little wings, and sent my entire worldview into flames!" Gojo threw his arms up. "The least you could do is tell me how!"
She ignored him, stepping over some fallen branches. "Not my problem."
Gojo groaned, dragging a hand down his face before quickly following after her. "Oh, come on. Just a little hint? A tiny fairy secret? A—hey, wait up!"
She didn't wait.
Gojo let out an exasperated huff. "Unbelievable. First, I find out fairies are real, and now, apparently, they’re jerks, too."
She smirked but didn't turn around. "Took you long enough to figure that one out."
Gojo huffed as he followed after her, stepping over roots and crunching leaves underfoot. “You know, if you’re gonna crash-land in front of me, the least you could do is answer a few simple questions.”
She didn’t even look back. “I don’t owe you anything.”
“Wow. The attitude.” Gojo scoffed, quickening his pace to walk beside her. “You’re seriously not gonna explain anything? Nothing at all? Not even a tiny little—”
“Nope.”
He blinked. “Not even like, ‘Oh, Gojo, I’m actually from a magical fairy kingdom, and I fell out of the sky because an evil wizard cursed me’?”
She gave him a look. “Do I look cursed to you?”
Gojo looked her up and down, taking in the dirt, leaves, and general mess she had become from falling. “Honestly? A little bit.”
Her eye twitched. "I swear, you're the most annoying human I've ever met."
Gojo grinned. “You’ve met a lot of humans, then? Or am I just special?”
"You're something," she muttered under her breath, shoving a branch out of her way as she walked faster.
Gojo followed easily. “Oh, come on. I get nothing? No tragic backstory? No mysterious quest? No ‘I’m the lost princess of the fairy realm’?”
“Keep guessing,” she said dryly.
Gojo groaned dramatically. “Unbelievable. I stumble across a real-life fairy, and she won’t even tell me how she exists.”
She suddenly stopped walking, spinning on her heel so fast that Gojo barely avoided bumping into her. She looked up at him, unimpressed. “Let me make this very clear, human—I don’t have to tell you anything. Not to someone as stupid as you.”
Gojo gasped, clutching his chest like she had physically wounded him. “Stupid?! Me?! I’ll have you know I’m very intelligent.”
“Oh, really?” she deadpanned. “Because a very intelligent person would’ve accepted reality by now instead of standing here whining like a child.”
Gojo pouted. “I’m not whining.”
“You are whining.”
Gojo scoffed. “I am not—”
“You are.”
“I am not—”
She sighed, turning back around and walking again. “I don’t have time for this.”
Gojo followed instantly. “You keep saying that, but you don’t seem to be going anywhere important.”
She ignored him.
Gojo smirked. “You do know where you’re going, right?”
Silence.
Gojo blinked. “Wait… do you not know?”
More silence.
Gojo grinned. “Ohhh, you don’t, do you?”
She exhaled slowly. "Shut. Up."
Gojo chuckled, hands behind his head as he walked beside her. “So what I’m hearing is—you’re lost.”
“I’m not lost.”
“Right, right. You just don’t know where you’re going. Totally different.”
She clenched her jaw, clearly regretting every life decision that led her to this moment.
Gojo leaned down slightly, tilting his head to look at her face. “Hey, no need to be embarrassed. I get it. You fell out of the sky, got dirt in your hair, met a very handsome stranger—”
She shot him a glare so sharp he actually paused.
“…Right. Moving on.” He cleared his throat. “Anyway. Lucky for you, I know this forest like the back of my hand.”
She snorted. “Oh, great. That makes one of us.”
Gojo smirked. “So, that means you do need my help.”
She looked up at the sky, as if praying for patience. “I never said that.”
Gojo’s grin widened. “You didn’t have to.”
She groaned, rubbing her temple. "I swear, if you don't shut up—"
"You'll what?" Gojo cut in, completely unfazed. "Hit me again? Because, honestly, I think you just wanted an excuse to touch me the first time."
Her wings flared as she turned sharply. "I will throw you into a tree."
Gojo held up his hands, laughing. “Alright, alright, no need for violence, fairy girl.”
Her eyes flashed. “Don’t call me that.”
Gojo smirked. “Not a fan of nicknames? What about wings? Feathers? Angry little—”
She glared at him for another second before rolling her eyes and turning back around. “You’re so lucky I have better things to do than argue with you.”
Gojo hummed. “Mm. Seems like you’re still here, though.”
She clenched her fists, muttering something under her breath about insufferable humans.
She walked in silence for a while, probably hoping Gojo would get bored and leave her alone. That was adorable. Like he was the kind of guy to walk away from something this interesting.
After a few minutes, she finally sighed and turned to look at him. “Alright, human—what are you even doing here?”
Gojo blinked. “Huh? Oh. Hunting, obviously.”
After a moment, he tilted his head. “So… how long have you been coming here?”
She eyed him warily. “Why do you care?”
Gojo shrugged. “Curiosity. Humor me.”
She exhaled sharply, clearly debating whether answering him was even worth her time. Finally, she muttered, “Years.”
Gojo blinked. “Years?”
She shot him a look. “Yes. Why?”
Gojo gestured around dramatically. “Because I’ve been hunting here for a long time, too, and I’ve never seen you before.”
She rolled her eyes. “Clearly.”
Gojo narrowed his eyes. “So where’ve you been hiding, huh? Are you some kind of stealth fairy?”
She let out an exasperated sigh. “No, you idiot. I come at night.”
Gojo raised an eyebrow. “At night?”
She nodded. “It’s quieter. No humans stomping around, killing things.”
Gojo smirked. “Ouch. That felt personal.”
She ignored him. “It’s peaceful when the moon is out. The forest belongs to itself again. No arrows flying, no traps waiting, no…” She trailed off, shaking her head. “It’s just… better.”
Gojo hummed, tapping his chin. “Huh. Never figured fairies for night owls.”
She gave him a deadpan look. “You figured nothing because you didn’t even believe I existed five minutes ago.”
Gojo grinned. “Touché.”
Silence settled between them, but this time, it wasn’t hostile. Gojo watched her, something unreadable in his expression.
Years. She had been here for years, and he never even noticed. How was that possible? And more importantly…
Why did that bother him?
Gojo tilted his head, watching her with renewed curiosity. “So, you’ve been coming here for years, huh?”
She didn’t respond, just kept walking.
His grin widened. “Alright, next question—how old are you?”
She scoffed. “Not answering that.”
Gojo smirked. “Oh? Why? Is it a fairy secret? Or are you just—” He gasped dramatically. “Wait. Don’t tell me you’re, like, a hundred years old or something.”
She rolled her eyes. “I’m not.”
“Two hundred?”
“No.”
“Five hundred?”
“Oh my god.”
Gojo tapped his chin, pretending to be deep in thought. “Then… judging by your height, I’d say… what, fifteen? Maybe sixteen?”
She froze.
Slowly, she turned to glare at him, pure offense in her eyes. “I’m twenty-two!”
Gojo grinned like he knew that would get a reaction. “Ohhh, there it is.”
Her wings fluttered aggressively. “You are so irritating.”
Gojo shrugged, still smirking. “Hey, I was just guessing. But wow, twenty-two? You sure?”
She clenched her fists. “Yes!”
Gojo hummed, looking at her like he wasn’t entirely convinced. “Mmm. I dunno. You kinda give off little sister energy.”
Her eye twitched. “Say that again, and I will dropkick you.”
Gojo snorted. “I’d like to see you try, shortstack.”
Her wings flared. “I hate you.”
“Nah,” Gojo said casually, hands behind his head. “You just wish you did.”
She stopped abruptly, turning to face him with an exasperated sigh. And by the way,” she huffed, “can you stop calling me random nicknames? I have a name, you know.”
Gojo raised an eyebrow, smirking. “Oh? You do?”
She folded her arms. “Obviously.”
He leaned in slightly, amusement flickering in his eyes. “Well then, mysterious fairy, what is it?”
She introduced herself in annoyance, voice clipped and impatient.
Gojo blinked, then grinned. “Huh. That’s actually a really nice name.”
She gave him a flat look. “Don’t make it weird.”
“Oh, never,” he said, hand over his heart. Then, after a beat, his smirk deepened. “Alright then, fairy girl.”
Her eye twitched. “I just told you my name.”
“Yeah, and I heard it,” Gojo said casually. “But, y’know, ‘fairy girl’ just suits you better.”
She groaned, turning back around. “You’re impossible.”
“Or magical,” Gojo shot back, walking beside her. “You did call me stupid earlier, so maybe I just forgot your name already.”
She didn’t even dignify that with a response.
Gojo grinned, thoroughly enjoying himself. “Alright, how about winged menace? Tiny terror? Ooh, what about sparkles?”
She stopped so fast that Gojo nearly bumped into her. Slowly, she turned, her glare sharp enough to cut. “Call me that, and I swear, I will bury you in this forest.”
Gojo pressed his lips together, looking like he was really fighting back laughter. “Alright, alright. No ‘sparkles.’”
She exhaled sharply, resuming her pace.
Gojo let the silence linger for a few moments before grinning.
“…But pixie is still on the table, right?”
She didn’t answer. She was too busy resisting the urge to strangle him.
She kept walking, clearly trying to ignore him, but Gojo was nothing if not persistent.
“Well,” he said, stretching his arms behind his head, “since you were kind enough to introduce yourself, it’s only fair I do the same.”
She shot him a dry look. “I don’t actually care.”
Gojo ignored that completely. “Satoru Gojo. Best hunter in these lands, possibly the most handsome man you’ll ever meet, and definitely the funniest.”
She stared at him, unimpressed. “You really just talk like that, huh?”
Gojo grinned. “What can I say? Some people are born to be great.”
She sighed, muttering, “And some people are born to be insufferable.”
Gojo gasped dramatically. “Wow. Rude.”
She kept walking.
Gojo smirked. “Anyway, as I was saying—I’m twenty-four, I live alone, and I technically don’t have to hunt that much, but hey, a man’s gotta make a living.”
She side-eyed him. “You hunt for sport?”
Gojo scoffed. “What? No. I hunt to survive. But if I happen to look really cool doing it, that’s just a bonus.”
She exhaled sharply. “Right. Of course.”
Gojo continued, completely unfazed. “I don’t really like dealing with people, which is why I live on my own. Less drama, less noise. Just me and the great outdoors.” He spread his arms dramatically. “Peaceful, right?”
She glanced at him. “You? Living in peace? Hard to imagine.”
Gojo chuckled. “Alright, fair point. But hey, I could be worse. I could be some grumpy old hunter who never cracks a joke.”
“I think I’d prefer that.”
“Ouch,” Gojo laughed. “You wound me.”
She rolled her eyes and kept walking.
Gojo, of course, followed right after her, still talking.
“Anyway, what else? Oh! I have amazing eyesight. You might’ve noticed.”
“Didn’t ask.”
“And I’m ridiculously strong. Seriously, I could probably carry you and your wings with one arm.”
“Not happening.”
“And, best of all—” Gojo grinned, stepping in front of her and walking backward so he could face her directly— “I’m really fun to be around.”
She stared at him blankly. “You’re really something, alright.”
Gojo smirked, absolutely taking that as a compliment. “See? You’re warming up to me already.”
She groaned. “You are so lucky I have more important things to deal with.”
Gojo chuckled, hands behind his head. “I am lucky. Lucky I found a real-life fairy to bother for the rest of the day.”
She let out a long breath, as if gathering every ounce of patience she had left.
Gojo just grinned, completely entertained. ThisGojo walked alongside her, hands behind his head, still grinning like he had all the time in the world. “So, fairy girl, where do you live?”
She glanced at him, clearly suspicious. “In the forest.”
Gojo snorted. “Yeah, obviously. But I mean, where’s your house?”
She didn’t answer right away. Her gaze flickered ahead, wings shifting slightly as she kept walking.
Gojo raised an eyebrow. “What? You don’t wanna tell me? Afraid I’ll crash at your place? I promise I don’t take up much space.”
Still, no response.
Gojo slowed his pace slightly, watching her carefully. “Wait… do fairies even live in houses? Do you guys have little tree villages? Hollow logs? Underground tunnels? Ooooh, or do you sleep in giant flower petals?”
She let out a sharp sigh before finally answering, voice quiet.
“…I don’t have one.”
Gojo blinked.
For once, he didn’t have a snarky response ready.
She kept walking like she hadn’t just dropped that information so casually, like it wasn’t something strange or concerning.
Gojo, of course, wasn’t about to let it slide.
“…Wait. What do you mean you don’t have one?” He frowned. “Like, at all?”
She didn’t look at him. “That’s what I said, isn’t it?”
Gojo narrowed his eyes slightly, processing that. No house. Nowhere to go. Nowhere she belonged.
Something about that didn’t sit right with him.
And for the first time since meeting her, his teasing grin completely disappeared.
Gojo stared at her, still processing the fact that she didn’t have a home. Then, like it was the most obvious thing in the world, he grinned and said, “Woah. You can live at my place.”
She stopped walking.
Gojo kept going. “It’s big enough for us, and I am an excellent host. I can take care of you—make sure you have food, a warm bed, maybe even—”
She turned to him with a look of pure disgust.
“First of all, no way am I living with someone like you.”
Gojo clutched his chest dramatically. “Ouch.”
“And second,” she continued, rolling her eyes, “I can’t leave the forest.”
Gojo frowned. “Why not?”
She gave him a look like he was dense. “Because if humans saw me, they’d hunt me. Or—or worse. I don’t even want to know what they’d do.”
Gojo blinked, tilting his head. “I mean… I’m also a human?”
She hesitated.
Just for a second.
Then, without meeting his eyes, she muttered, “You’re different.”
Gojo stared at her, something unreadable flashing across his face.
She exhaled, shaking her head slightly. “And please… don’t tell anyone about me, okay?” Her voice softened just a little. “Not like they’d believe you anyway.”
Gojo watched her carefully, noting the way her wings folded slightly, as if she was trying to make herself smaller.
Then, with a smirk, he shoved his hands into his pockets and said, “Don’t worry, pixie. Your secret’s safe with me.”
She groaned. “I told you to stop calling me that.”
Gojo chuckled. “Yeah, yeah.”
But despite his teasing, something in his expression had shifted.
And for reasons he didn’t quite understand yet… he meant what he said.
Gojo kept walking beside her, his usual smirk still present but his mind running with thoughts he couldn’t quite shake. She really had nowhere to go? She couldn’t even leave the forest?
That… didn’t sit right with him.
For a moment, neither of them spoke. The only sound was the rustling leaves and the occasional chirp of whatever birds were still left in this part of the forest.
Then Gojo broke the silence.
“So,” he started, tilting his head at her, “you’ve been hiding here for years, huh? Just… out here, alone?”
She didn’t look at him. “I’m not alone.”
Gojo raised an eyebrow. “Oh? You got a secret fairy society somewhere?”
She rolled her eyes. “No. But I don’t need one.”
Gojo hummed, unconvinced. “Must get kinda lonely, though.”
She stiffened slightly.
It was small—barely noticeable—but Gojo caught it.
“…It’s not so bad,” she muttered after a while.
Gojo watched her carefully.
Then, out of nowhere, he grinned and threw an arm over her shoulder. “Well, lucky for you, you’ve got me now!”
She immediately shoved him off. “Don’t touch me!”
Gojo burst out laughing, hands up in surrender. “Alright, alright! No touching the fairy, got it.”
She scowled. “You are the worst.”
“Aw, come on, I’m a great companion!” He smirked. “Super fun, super strong, and super annoying. The full package.”
She groaned. “Why are you still following me?”
Gojo stretched his arms behind his head. “Dunno. Maybe I’m just curious.”
She narrowed her eyes. “Curious about what?”
Gojo shrugged. “Dunno yet. Guess I’ll find out.”
She sighed heavily, clearly realizing he had no plans of leaving her alone anytime soon.
Gojo chuckled.
For some reason, that thought didn’t bother him one bit.
She sighed, her gaze dropping to the forest floor as they walked. Then, almost too quietly, she muttered, “But… I do want to go outside the forest.”
Gojo’s brows lifted slightly in surprise.
“But I’m scared,” she admitted, voice softer now. “If someone saw me—” She shook her head, cutting herself off. “I don’t know what they’d do.”
Gojo watched her carefully, something unreadable flickering behind his eyes.
He wasn’t sure why, but the thought of her being scared—of her being trapped here—didn’t sit right with him.
And maybe he should’ve thought it through more, maybe he should’ve considered what he was about to offer—
But he didn’t.
Instead, he grinned, stepping in front of her and bending slightly so they were eye level. “Then let me do it for you.”
She blinked, taken aback. “What?”
Gojo smirked. “You wanna see the outside world, right?” He tapped his chest. “I’ll take you.”
She stared at him, clearly trying to figure out if he was joking. “You can’t be serious.”
“Oh, I am.” His grin widened. “C’mon. Who better to sneak you out than me?”
She hesitated, her wings twitching slightly. “You’re a human.”
Gojo tilted his head. “Yeah. And?”
She frowned. “You know why that’s a problem.”
Gojo chuckled. “Relax. I wouldn’t let anything happen to you.” His voice was still teasing, still playful, but underneath it was something else—something solid.
She searched his face for a long moment, uncertain.
He let her think. Let her weigh the idea, weigh him.
Then, slowly, she exhaled and looked away. “…It’s not that simple.”
Gojo just smirked. “Maybe not.” He straightened up, hands on his hips. “But hey, lucky for you, I love complicated things.”
She sighed heavily, like she already regretted this conversation. “You’re ridiculous.”
Gojo chuckled, turning to walk beside her again. “And yet, you still haven’t said no.”
She didn’t reply.
Gojo glanced at her out of the corner of his eye, his smirk softening just a little.
He didn’t know why he cared so much.
But he did.
And that was enough.
➽──────────────❥
You sat peacefully on a thick tree branch, the cool morning breeze brushing against your skin as you ran your fingers gently over the feathers of a small bird perched beside you. It chirped softly, pressing into your touch, unbothered by your presence.
This was your routine—finding solace in the quiet of the forest, away from the chaos, away from—
"Oi! Fairy girl!"
Your peace shattered instantly.
You stiffened, closing your eyes briefly, exhaling through your nose. Of course.
He came.
Satoru Gojo.
You glanced down, and sure enough, there he was, standing beneath your tree, looking just as insufferable as ever. His usual grin was present, but something else caught your attention—he was holding a brown cloak in his hand, waving it slightly.
You narrowed your eyes. "What are you doing here?"
Gojo smirked. "What, no ‘good morning’?"
You sighed, shifting slightly on the branch. "Gojo."
His grin widened. "That’s better."
You rolled your eyes. "Why are you here?"
Gojo held up the cape. "Brought you a gift."
You blinked. "…A what?"
"A cape," he said casually, shaking it out. "You did say you wanted to go outside the forest, right?"
You hesitated.
Gojo smirked. "Figured you’d need a disguise. Y’know, since your very obvious wings might make people lose their minds."
You frowned, eyeing the fabric warily. "And you just… had that lying around?"
Gojo shrugged. "Not exactly. But I may have borrowed it."
You scoffed. "You stole it, didn’t you?"
Gojo gasped dramatically. "Excuse me! I acquired it. Totally different thing."
You pinched the bridge of your nose. "You’re impossible."
Gojo chuckled, stepping closer. "C’mon. Try it on."
You eyed him suspiciously, but curiosity got the better of you. With a sigh, you leapt down from the branch, landing lightly on your feet in front of him.
Gojo handed you the cloak, watching as you hesitantly draped it over your shoulders. The fabric was thick but surprisingly soft, and when you adjusted it, it covered your wings completely.
Gojo grinned. "See? Looks good on you. Almost makes you look normal."
You shot him a glare. "Gee, thanks."
He chuckled. "So, what do you think? Ready to step out of the forest?"
You hesitated again, gripping the fabric slightly.
Gojo watched you carefully, his usual playfulness still there, but something else lingered in his expression—something patient.
You exhaled. "Maybe."
Gojo smirked. "Maybe is a good start."
You adjusted the cloak slightly, shifting your shoulders. The fabric was thick and heavy, pressing against your wings in a way that wasn’t exactly painful but definitely uncomfortable.
“…It’s kinda uncomfortable for my wings,” you muttered, frowning as you tried to reposition them beneath the fabric. “Feels weird.”
Gojo hummed, tilting his head as he watched you. “Yeah, I figured that might be a problem.”
You raised an eyebrow. “Then why didn’t you get something better?”
Gojo smirked. “What, and rob an entire tailor’s shop? I’m not that much of a criminal.”
You scoffed. “Debatable.”
Gojo laughed, but then his grin shifted into something a little more thoughtful. “Still, even with the cape, people might get suspicious.”
You frowned. “What do you mean?”
Gojo gestured vaguely. “You know, seeing me walking around with a girl they’ve never seen before? Might raise some eyebrows.”
You blinked, suddenly realizing the flaw in his plan. “Oh.”
Gojo grinned. “Yeah. I mean, I am quite the handsome and mysterious man—people tend to notice me.”
You rolled your eyes. “That’s not the issue.”
He smirked. “You sure? Could be a great excuse to say you’re my secret lover.”
Your wings twitched under the cloak. “I will punch you.”
Gojo laughed. “Alright, alright. No need for violence, pixie.”
You groaned. “Ugh, we’re gonna get caught before we even try at this rate.”
Gojo tapped his chin. “Hmm. Guess we need a cover story, huh?”
You narrowed your eyes. “Do I even want to know what you’re thinking?”
Gojo grinned. “Oh, I’ve got plenty of ideas.”
You had a feeling you were about to regret everything.
You walked beside Gojo, your hands gripping the edges of the cloak as you stepped out of the forest for the first time in years. The open air felt different—less wild, less free. The towering trees were replaced by open roads, stone pathways leading toward a town that seemed to hum with life.
As you approached, the first thing you noticed was the people.
Children ran barefoot through the streets, their laughter echoing as they weaved between market stalls. Vendors called out their wares—fresh bread, spices, handwoven fabrics—all filling the air with an odd but strangely comforting mix of scents. Women strolled by in elegant dresses, their skirts swishing with every step, their hair pinned in intricate styles as they gossiped with one another. The faint melody of a musician’s tune drifted through the air, blending into the sound of horses trotting down the cobbled paths.
It was… overwhelming.
You kept your head down, pressing the hood of the cloak lower over your face as you walked closer beside Gojo.
He noticed. Of course he did.
“Nervous?” he asked, his voice laced with amusement.
You scowled. “No.”
Gojo smirked. “Right. That’s why you’re clinging to that cloak like it’s your lifeline.”
You huffed, loosening your grip slightly but still keeping your pace quick. “People are staring.”
Gojo chuckled. “They’re curious. That’s normal.”
“Exactly,” you muttered. “That’s bad.”
Gojo just shrugged, walking with that same relaxed confidence he always had, completely unbothered. “Relax. Just stick with me. No one’s gonna do anything.”
That was easy for him to say.
You swallowed, ignoring the way a few passing townsfolk gave you curious glances.
You had made it this far.
Now you just had to blend in.
As you walked deeper into town, your nerves were starting to get the better of you. Every passing glance felt like it lasted too long, every whispered conversation felt like it was about you.
Then, without warning—
Gojo grabbed your hand.
You immediately tensed. “What are you—?”
“Relax,” he said smoothly, his grip firm but not forceful. “You’re looking too jumpy. This’ll make you seem less suspicious.”
You frowned, trying to pull away. “I don’t need your help blending in.”
Gojo smirked, effortlessly keeping his hold. “Oh, really? Because right now, you look like you just walked into civilization for the first time in your life.”
You glared at him. “That’s because I did.”
Gojo chuckled. “Exactly. Which is why you should listen to me.”
You tried again to yank your hand back. “This is unnecessary.”
He didn’t let go. “It’s convincing.”
You huffed, wings twitching uncomfortably beneath the cloak. “You’re enjoying this, aren’t you?”
Gojo grinned. “A little, yeah.”
You groaned, giving up the struggle. “You’re insufferable.”
“And yet, here you are, holding my hand.”
“I’m not—you are—” You shut your mouth, inhaled deeply, and faced forward. “Whatever. Just… don’t make it weird.”
Gojo squeezed your hand lightly. “No promises.”
You were so going to regret this.
➽──────────────❥
Gojo wasted no time leading you through the bustling streets, completely in his element while you tried your best to blend in. He was annoyingly casual about the whole thing, weaving effortlessly through the crowd, dragging you along as if this were just another ordinary day.
He stopped at a food stall first, handing the vendor a few coins before turning to you with a smug grin. “Here. Try this.”
You eyed the small pastry in his hand, then glanced at him suspiciously. “What is it?”
“Good,” he said simply, shoving it toward you.
You hesitated but took a cautious bite. The soft, flaky crust melted in your mouth, the filling warm and sweet with a hint of spice. Your eyes widened slightly—it was actually delicious.
Gojo smirked. “Told you.”
You tried to keep your expression neutral, swallowing the bite before muttering, “…It’s alright.”
Gojo laughed. “You’re a terrible liar.”
And so it continued.
He dragged you from stall to stall, making you try different things—fruits so sweet they made your lips tingle, roasted nuts coated in honey, warm bread fresh from the oven. Every time you protested, he would shove something else into your hands, grinning like a child as he watched you try new flavors.
You were starting to suspect this wasn’t about “blending in” at all—he just wanted an excuse to feed you.
He guided you through the winding streets, pointing out different places—where to get the best food, which vendor had the softest fabrics, which alleyways to avoid unless you wanted to get robbed (which he said with way too much amusement).
And then, of course, people started noticing.
It started with whispers. Curious glances.
And then finally—
“Hey, Gojo,” a passing merchant called out, raising an eyebrow. “Who’s this girl with you?”
You stiffened. Your heart picked up pace. Shit.
More people turned to look, the attention settling heavily on you. Gojo, of course, looked completely unbothered.
Then he smiled. And opened his mouth.
“Oh, her?” He pulled you slightly closer, tilting his head as if the answer was obvious.
“My secret lover, not secret anymore though—”
Silence.
Every single person around you froze.
Eyes widened. Mouths dropped open.
The air grew thick with shock.
You blinked, your brain momentarily unable to process what he had just said.
Then—
Your eyebrow twitched.
Oh god. He really said that.
Gojo just grinned, clearly entertained by everyone’s reaction. He squeezed your hand lightly, as if sealing the deal.
You, on the other hand, were one second away from killing him.
Your fingers curled into a fist. Your wings twitched violently beneath the cloak.
Oh, he was so dead.
And yet, Gojo just chuckled, completely ignoring the way you were vibrating with barely restrained rage.
"What?" he said innocently, looking around at the stunned crowd. “Is that so hard to believe?”
You were so going to murder him in broad daylight.
The second the words left Gojo’s mouth, the questions exploded.
“Wait—seriously?”
“Gojo, since when?!”
“Where’s she from?”
“Why haven’t we seen her before?”
You stiffened as the crowd suddenly closed in, eager for answers. Oh god, what had he done?
Gojo, of course, was perfectly relaxed, grinning like he was enjoying every second of this. “She’s from a neighboring town,” he said smoothly, not missing a beat. “That’s why you haven’t seen her before.”
People nodded like that made perfect sense.
You, meanwhile, were standing there like a deer caught in torchlight, unable to do anything. You couldn’t deny it. Couldn’t argue. Couldn’t even glare at him properly because all eyes were on you.
You had no choice but to go along with it.
Gojo was still talking, still lying effortlessly, answering every question thrown his way.
“How long have you two been together?”
“A while now,” Gojo replied, slinging an arm around your shoulder like it was the most natural thing in the world.
You nearly choked.
He was enjoying this too much.
Then, someone laughed—a young man standing by one of the market stalls, shaking his head in amusement. “Damn, Gojo,” he said, grinning. “You really broke all the ladies’ hearts, huh?”
A murmur of agreement rippled through the crowd.
Of course he’d be popular.
You hated to admit it, but… Gojo was handsome.
Annoyingly so.
His bright blue eyes, his sharp features, the way his white hair somehow looked effortlessly perfect—he had the kind of beauty that stood out, that demanded attention. Even in a town full of people, he was the person you’d notice first.
You hated that you noticed.
Gojo just laughed, completely unfazed. “Ahh, what can I say?” he sighed dramatically. “It was bound to happen eventually.”
More laughter, more teasing.
You, on the other hand, were still recovering from the fact that he had just made you his “lover” in front of half the town.
This was not how you expected today to go.
And judging by the way Gojo was still smirking, you had a very bad feeling that this wasn’t over yet.
You could feel their eyes on you.
The women in the crowd—some subtle, some not—were all staring. Some whispered to each other, casting quick glances your way, while others openly examined you, their expressions ranging from curiosity to thinly veiled judgment.
You shifted slightly under the weight of their stares, resisting the urge to pull your hood lower, fidgeting with it.
It made sense. Gojo was handsome, charming, and irritatingly confident. He was the type of person who naturally drew attention, the kind who could have anyone he wanted—so why had he suddenly claimed you?
The disbelief in their gazes said it all.
You clenched your jaw, pretending not to notice the way some of them whispered behind their hands.
Gojo, meanwhile, was completely unfazed.
If he noticed the way the women were sizing you up, he didn’t acknowledge it. He just stood there, grinning like this was the most fun he’d had in ages.
You, on the other hand, were not having fun.
Not only were you stuck in this ridiculous situation, but now you were also dealing with the silent judgment of people who had probably spent years fawning over him.
Great. Just great.
You subtly exhaled, trying to ignore it.
But the longer it went on, the more you wanted to strangle the man standing beside you.
And judging by the glint of amusement in his eyes, he knew it.
You exhaled slowly, keeping your expression neutral as Gojo continued to entertain the crowd like this was his personal stage.
The questions didn’t stop.
“Where did you two meet?”
Gojo hummed, tapping his chin. “Ah, it’s quite the romantic story, actually—”
You shot him a warning glare.
He smirked. “—but that’s a secret.”
The crowd groaned, clearly disappointed but still eating up every word he fed them.
You, meanwhile, were dying inside.
The stares from the women hadn’t stopped. Some of them had their arms crossed, unimpressed. Others whispered behind their hands, their eyes flickering between you and Gojo like they were trying to make sense of this unbelievable pairing.
And the worst part?
Gojo knew it.
You could see it in the way he smirked, the way his grip on your hand tightened slightly, as if to prove a point.
Oh, he was enjoying this way too much.
You couldn’t take it anymore. You tugged at his arm, lowering your voice so only he could hear.
“Enough,” you hissed. “Can we go now?”
Gojo glanced at you, clearly amused. “Hmm? What’s wrong, sweetheart?”
Your eye twitched. “I will kill you.”
Gojo laughed. Actually laughed.
The crowd looked between you, interest piqued.
“You two are adorable,” one of the older women in the market cooed.
Gojo grinned. “Aren’t we?”
You resisted the very strong urge to stomp on his foot.
Instead, you yanked at his sleeve again, hissing, “If you don’t walk away in the next five seconds, I swear—”
Gojo chuckled, finally relenting. “Alright, alright. Let’s go.”
With that, he pulled you through the crowd, his hand still firmly holding onto yours, as if to make sure you couldn’t escape just yet.
The stares followed you as you walked away.
You could still feel them.
And as Gojo led you down another street, humming to himself like nothing had happened, you made a silent vow—
You were getting back at him for this.
As soon as you were far enough from the crowd, without hesitation—
SMACK.
Your hand came down hard on Gojo’s head.
“Ow—hey!” He stumbled slightly, rubbing the spot with an exaggerated wince. “What was that for?”
You shot him a look. “Oh, I don’t know. Maybe for LYING TO HALF THE TOWN?!”
Gojo blinked. Then smirked. “Ohhh, that?”
Your eye twitched. “YES, THAT.”
He chuckled, still rubbing his head. “Damn, fairy girl, you’re stronger than you look.”
“I should’ve hit you harder.”
Gojo grinned. “Aww, but then I’d have to tell everyone my lover is abusing me.”
You lunged at him.
Gojo dodged, laughing as he raised his hands in surrender. “Alright, alright! Relax! It was just a joke!”
“Oh, just a joke?” You crossed your arms, glaring. “Do you have any idea what you just did?!”
Gojo tilted his head. “Uh… made you a local celebrity?”
You groaned, dragging a hand down your face. “Now the whole town thinks we’re together!”
Gojo shrugged. “Eh, could be worse.”
You looked at him like you wanted to strangle him. “How?"
He smirked. “Well, technically, I could’ve said we were married.”
You gaped at him in horror.
Gojo burst out laughing.
“Ohhh, your face—” He wiped a fake tear from his eye, still grinning. “That was priceless.”
You took a deep breath, trying to calm yourself before you actually killed him.
Gojo smirked, tilting his head. “You’re really worked up over this, huh?”
You glared. “Because now people are going to keep asking about it! The women in town are already mad!”
Gojo hummed, amused. “Jealous, you think?”
“Oh, definitely,” you deadpanned. “I mean, look at you. Handsome, charming, the worst person I’ve ever met—”
Gojo placed a hand on his chest. “Aw, stop, you’re making me blush.”
You were so close to knocking him out.
“Look,” you sighed, pinching the bridge of your nose. “Just—just fix this, okay?”
Gojo raised an eyebrow. “Fix it?”
“Yes! Tell them you were lying, or joking, or—something!”
Gojo just grinned. “Ehhh… I dunno.”
Your hands curled into fists. “Gojo.”
He leaned in slightly, still smirking. “But you haven’t denied it, have you?”
Your breath caught for a second.
Then—
You shoved him so hard that he actually stumbled back, laughing.
“Fix it.”
Gojo just winked. “No promises.”
You hated him.
You really did.
And the worst part?
He knew it.
Gojo was still grinning, completely unbothered by the fact that you had just smacked him.
Then, as if he hadn’t just caused chaos, he stretched lazily and said, “Alright, let’s go to my place.”
You blinked. “What?”
Gojo looked at you like it was obvious. “My house. You know, where I live? Where we can not stand in the middle of town while you plot my murder?”
You scowled. “I don’t need to go to your house.”
Gojo smirked. “Oh, so you want to stay out here where people might keep asking about us?”
Your lips pressed together.
Damn him.
“…Fine,” you muttered, crossing your arms. “But only because I need to sit somewhere and recover from the disaster you just caused.”
Gojo chuckled. “Sure, sure. Whatever helps you sleep at night, pixie.”
You shot him a glare, but he just grinned and led the way.
The walk to his home wasn’t long, but by the time you arrived, you were… surprised.
You weren’t sure what you were expecting, but the small house in front of you wasn’t anything extravagant. It wasn’t large or overly fancy, but it had a certain charm to it. The wooden walls looked well-maintained, the small porch had a few crates stacked neatly against the side, and a window had soft, warm light spilling out from within.
It looked… cozy.
You glanced at Gojo, raising an eyebrow. “This is your place?”
He grinned. “What? Expecting a castle?”
You huffed. “No. Just… thought it’d be messier.”
Gojo gasped dramatically. “Wow. You really don’t think highly of me, huh?”
You smirked. “Not even a little.”
He laughed, shaking his head as he pushed the door open. “Well, come on in. Mi casa es tu casa, fairy girl.”
You rolled your eyes but followed him inside.
And for the first time, you stepped into his world.
The moment Gojo pushed the door open, you stepped inside cautiously, taking in your surroundings.
It was… not what you expected.
The space was small but warm, with wooden beams overhead and stone walls that gave it a sturdy, lived-in feel. A wooden dining table sat at the center, covered with a checkered cloth, a half-empty bottle of wine resting on it like it had been forgotten there. Shelves lined the walls, stocked with jars, plates, and random trinkets, while an old clock ticked softly above the fireplace. The scent of dried herbs and faint traces of smoke from the stove lingered in the air, making the place feel oddly inviting.
Your gaze drifted to the kitchen area, where pots and pans hung neatly from hooks, and sunlight filtered through a small window, casting a golden glow across the room. Everything had a simple charm to it—unexpectedly cute, even.
“…Huh.”
Gojo raised an eyebrow, shutting the door behind him. “What?”
You glanced at him. “I don’t know. I just… thought you’d live in more of a mess.”
Gojo gasped, clutching his chest dramatically. “Wow. So little faith in me.”
You smirked. “I mean, considering the way you act, I expected, I don’t know—half-eaten food lying around, arrows stuck in the walls, maybe a dead animal on the floor.”
Gojo snorted. “I am a hunter, not a wild animal.”
You hummed, unconvinced, as you wandered toward the table, brushing your fingers over the wooden surface. “It’s… cute.”
Gojo smirked. “Oh? You think I’m cute?”
You turned to him with a deadpan expression. “The house.”
Gojo chuckled, clearly entertained. “Yeah, yeah. I get it. You’re too proud to admit I’ve got taste.”
You rolled your eyes and took a seat at the table. The chair creaked slightly under your weight, but it was sturdy, just like everything else in this place.
Gojo walked over to the kitchen, grabbing a couple of mugs from a shelf. “Tea?”
You blinked. “You drink tea?”
Gojo smirked over his shoulder. “What, did you think I just survive off the thrill of the hunt and sheer charisma?”
“…Yes.”
He laughed. “Fair. But no. I drink tea, and so do you now.” He placed a cup in front of you before sitting across the table, resting his chin in his palm.
For the first time since stepping into town, you felt yourself relax just a little.
Maybe this wasn’t going to be so bad.
As you sat at the wooden table, fingers curling around the warm mug Gojo had placed in front of you, a strange feeling settled in your chest.
Comfort.
You weren’t sure why, but something about this place—this home—felt… good. Safe. Like it had been lived in, like it had stories within its walls. It wasn’t grand or extravagant, but it had warmth. The soft ticking of the clock, the scent of herbs in the air, the way the light spilled gently through the window—it all felt oddly familiar.
Like home.
You weren’t supposed to feel that way. Not outside the forest. Not in a human’s house. And yet…
You exhaled slowly, letting yourself sink into the moment.
Gojo, of course, noticed. He leaned back in his chair, watching you with a lazy smirk. “Comfy?”
You shot him a look. “No.”
His grin widened. “Liar.”
You huffed, sipping your tea to avoid answering. It was warm, a little bitter, but soothing in a way you hadn’t expected.
Gojo chuckled, but for once, he didn’t push.
For a moment, the two of you sat there, just existing in the quiet.
And for the first time in a long time… you didn’t feel so out of place.
The warmth of the tea seeped through the cup into your fingers, and for a moment, you let yourself enjoy it—the quiet, the stillness, the way the air inside this small home felt different from the outside world.
Gojo leaned back in his chair, watching you over the rim of his mug. “Y’know,” he started, voice smooth and teasing, “for someone who acted like they hated coming here, you’re looking awfully comfortable.
You shot him a side glance, unimpressed. “I can leave.”
Gojo smirked. “Yeah? And go where?”
That shut you up.
He knew you had nowhere else to be. That the forest was the only place you ever returned to, and even that wasn’t really a home.
You set your mug down, crossing your arms. “Don’t think this means I like you.”
Gojo grinned. “Oh, obviously. You just like my house.”
You scoffed, looking away. “Maybe.”
Gojo chuckled, but his expression softened slightly as he rested his chin in his palm, watching you. “Well, if it makes you feel any better,” he said, voice quieter this time, “you can stay as long as you want.”
You blinked, caught off guard.
He said it so casually, like it wasn’t a big deal. Like the idea of you being here, in his space, wasn’t strange at all.
You hesitated, glancing down at your cup. “…I won’t stay long.”
Gojo just smirked. “We’ll see about that.”
And for once, you didn’t argue.
The warmth of the tea, the flickering light from the stove, the faint creaks of the wooden house settling—it all felt strangely calm.
Too calm.
You weren’t sure how long you sat there, letting the silence stretch between you and Gojo. But for once, he wasn’t talking. He just leaned back in his chair, arms folded behind his head, watching you with that lazy, unreadable expression.
You didn’t like it.
It felt like he was waiting for something.
“…What?” you muttered, raising an eyebrow.
Gojo smirked. “Nothing.”
You scowled. “Then stop looking at me like that.”
He chuckled, shaking his head as he stood up, grabbing your empty mug along with his. “Alright, alright. No need to get all shy, fairy girl.”
You rolled your eyes, ignoring the way your stomach twisted slightly at his words.
As he turned away, moving toward the small sink, you let your gaze drift around the house once more. The warmth, the familiarity of it—it was dangerous. It made you forget, just for a second, that you didn’t belong here.
You exhaled, standing up as well.
You wouldn’t get too comfortable.
Because sooner or later… you’d have to leave.
A/n- Honestly, writing this took longer than I expected, but I had so much fun with it. Gojo is already a menace, and reader is already so done with him, lmao. But hey, she did feel comfortable at his place… wonder what that means. I hope I didn't disappointed y'all:>
Chapter 2 is gonna be interesting, so stay tuned! And let me know what you think so far, have a great day🩷🫶

Can I request a Thanos x reader AU where the X voters actually win and they leave early? But the main problem is that the reader was on the games to pay off debt so she can leave her shitty parter/fiancée/spouse but now she can’t because the money wasn’t enough to pay it all off. Fortunately, Thanos and the reader grew close during the games and he knew her reason for being there, and also knew the money wouldn’t be enough. So basically post games, he runs into her and they reconnect and he absolutely beats the shit out of the reader’s awful partner (because in Thanos’s mind, anyone who hurts the reader deserves hell)
If you couldn’t tell, I’m a sucker for protective Thanos who won’t hesitate to (literally) kill a bitch haha
a/n: anon i'm sorry this took me so long, i rewrote this 6 times. SIX. (i am never satisfied with my own work LOL)
✧ pairing: choi su-bong (thanos) x reader
✧ word count: 6.1k (i'm sorry.)
✧ content: fem!reader, swearing, mentions of abuse!!, mention of drugs, violence, ooc thanos/su-bong yet again (oops), au where X voters win, partner is gn bc it wasn't specified but also realized that thanos beats they ass so...
The first day was the hardest. The sterile feel of the dormitory, the looming silence, and the constant threat of death. Nothing could prepare you for the weight of it, the brutality of it all, how you were just merely a pawn in a sick game.
You had stood lined up with the others—strangers, all of you forced into a game of life or death. None of you could fathom what was to come. The sounds of the red light/green light game still echoed in your mind, the screams, the metallic scent of blood, the bodies falling one by one.
But there was one person you noticed, even in the chaos. The purple haired rapper that you had heard the other players talking about, Thanos. He wasn’t like the others—no frantic desperation in his eyes. You had seen him after player 196 was shot in front of him. How quickly his demeanor changed once he took a pill out of his necklace; how quick he was to put others lives at stake. He breezed through the game, like it was something fun instead of something twisted and terrifying.
You had no intention of ever speaking to him–or anyone else for that matter, unless the games required it. You felt as though you couldn’t trust anyone. There was already a divide, the vote evenly splitting the remaining players. Unfortunately, you voted to stay. It wasn’t like you wanted to, no. There was not a drop of greed in your body unlike most of the players that voted the same as you. You were drowning in debt, obviously–but it was more than that. It was debt that wasn’t your fault, but was the fault of your shitty excuse of a partner. You needed that prize money to escape from them as well, get away from the awful card you’d been dealt.
You found yourself sitting alone in the dormitory after the vote, exhausted and anxious. Your mind raced—how would you survive this? Your previous determination was slipping away, overtaken by thoughts of self-doubt. Even if you did escape with enough money, how would you hide it from your partner? If the games disbanded early and the X voters won, would it even be enough? And what if it wasn’t?
“You’re thinking too hard, señorita,” a low voice rumbled from behind you.
You stiffened, jolted out of your thoughts. Turning, you were startled to find Thanos standing there, his frame casting a shadow over you. He looked at you with an expression that was unreadable, his pupils blown wide.
“You know, thinking like that can get you killed.” he said, lowering himself onto the stairs next to you. He didn’t ask for permission, didn’t even wait for an answer. You weren’t sure what gave him the confidence, but you could only assume it was the drugs still running through his veins.
You scoffed, looking straight ahead. “And what would you know? You’re clearly not thinking about much of anything but yourself right now.”
He barked out a laugh, making finger guns and pretending to shoot them. “That’s how you play the game, flower. Only focusing on yourself means you’ll live.”
“Okay, is there a reason you came over here? Can I help you with something?” You asked with an eye roll, not quite sure what he wanted from you.
“Tell you what. You stick with me, and I can keep you safe. Come join the Thanos world,” He said with a hand movement, and you turned your head to stare at him with a questioning look.
“Didn’t you just say-”
He cut you off. “Forget what I said. I don’t even remember what I said,” He responded with a stupid grin, his high still in full effect. “Look,” he said as he pointed to the blue O patch on your chest. “We’re basically already on the same team anyway. Don’t you think it would make sense?” You pursed your lips as he blabbered on.
“We’re here for very different reasons.” you murmured, crossing your arms over your chest.
“Clearly not,” he snorted, his arrogance on full display. “But if you say so, señorita. If you change your mind, you know where to find me.” With a wink, he stood up and skipped off, presumably to go harass others with player 124.
You shook your head to yourself. Why would you ever need him?
—
The next day, during the second game, you were ashamed to have to walk up to Thanos. You felt like a dog with its tail between its legs, dragging your feet. In all fairness, you didn’t think you would need to team up so soon. And unfortunately–Thanos was the only player you had spoken to so far.
As you approached, he immediately noticed you. Turning his attention towards you, he grinned.
“Señorita! Did you change your mind? Couldn’t resist the charm of the legend Thanos?” He gestured to himself. You internally gagged, wanting to turn around and walk away right then and there.
“Don’t get the wrong idea. I’m only doing this because I have to.” You grumbled, while he and player 124 snickered.
“Yeah, yeah, whatever you say. C’mon, you won’t regret it.” He threw an arm around your shoulder, and you shrugged it off. You ended up sitting with your group that was made up of Thanos, Nam-gyu, Min-su and Se-mi.
You began to open up a little as you sat and waited for your group's turn, conversation about nothing important flowing easily (more so with the sober ones of the group). Either way, it was a welcome distraction from the gunfire and bloodshed happening around you as entire groups were gunned down. Your tense posture and slight flinching at the sounds didn’t go unnoticed by Thanos. As soon as he noticed, he put a hand on your shoulder.
“Don’t worry, pretty girl. I said I’d keep you safe, didn’t I?” He asked with a laugh, however, you caught something genuine in the tone of his voice. You looked at him and his large pupils, and as you did some of the tension released from your body. Maybe he really did mean it.
Thankfully, your group had breezed through the six legged pentathlon. You were terrified–and being chained directly to Thanos didn’t help, considering how reckless he was. To your surprise, however, his presence was comforting. He cheered you on during your turn, giving you the confidence you needed to help advance your team.
Then came the next vote. You voted to stay yet again, as difficult as it was. The prize money still wasn’t enough to justify switching your vote. Thanos made himself the center of the chaos as per usual, egging on the O voters and only helping to increase the tension between both sides. It was almost unbearable to watch.
Meal time was next, and it wasn’t nearly enough to satisfy your hunger. You’d been behind Thanos in line, watching as he threw his arms up in exasperation as he saw what they were offering. Once you stepped forward, you figured out why. It was a lousy piece of bread and a carton of milk. You accepted the food with a sigh, mumbling a quiet ‘thank you’ to the guards and turning on your heel. You walked past Thanos and the rest of your group, hearing him call out to you with one of his dumb pet names. Ignoring it, you went and sat by yourself to have some peace and quiet, wanting to be alone with your thoughts.
Unfortunately, the universe did not have your back because minutes later, you felt a presence sit down next to you. You could see the flash of purple in your peripheral vision, causing you to roll your eyes.
“Can I help you, Thanos?” You questioned, taking a bite out of your bread. He was tapping his foot in an aggravating fashion, causing you to shoot your arm out and grab his leg. “Please stop doing that.”
“Ooo, I didn’t think we were moving that fast, señorita,” he wiggled his eyebrows. “I don’t mind, don’t worry. In fact, we could-”
You immediately put your finger up to his lips to stop him from talking. “You do not want to finish that sentence. I am not in the mood.”
“Of course you’re not. Do you hate jokes and having fun?” he let out an exaggerated sigh, gulping down his milk. You didn’t respond, taking another bite of your food.
“I’m kidding, relax,” He said as he noticed your silence. “Anyway, question for ya.” You didn’t respond, but motioned for him to continue. “Haven’t gotten a name from you yet. I can only come up with so many nicknames, you know?”
“That wasn’t a question,” you stated matter of factly.
“Tch. Okay smartass.” He said, and you couldn’t stop the smile from spreading across your face. His eyes lit up at the sight, and you could tell he was about to make some dumb comment.
“It’s (Y/N).” You said before anything could leave his mouth. He was silent for a moment.
“Hm,” he hummed, looking right at you. “Beautiful name for a beautiful girl.” His voice was filled with nothing but sincerity, causing you to look at him with burning cheeks. “Aww, she’s blushing!”
And he effectively ruined the moment. “Do you do this to every girl you meet?” You tilted your head questioningly.
“No. Only the pretty ones.” He snickered, and this time you genuinely couldn’t tell if he was kidding or not. You huffed, finally finishing your meal. Taking notice of the fact that Thanos somehow hadn’t yet, you raised an eyebrow. You watched as he broke a piece of his bread off, holding it out to you and gesturing for you to take it. Vehemently, you shook your head. “Come on, (Y/N),” he tested your name, waving the food in front of your face. “You need it more than I do.”
“Uh, no actually. You shouldn’t be high on an empty stomach, you eat it. I’m not taking your share.” You stated, genuinely not wanting to take it. They barely fed you all as it was, not nearly enough to be sustainable. He shrugged, popping it into his mouth with no hesitation.
“If you say so.” He mumbled with his mouth full, causing you to scrunch your nose.
As much as you didn’t want to admit it, your bond with the egotistical rapper was quickly growing. Never in a million years did you think he of all people would be the person you’d become the closest with. To be honest, it wasn’t like you really had a choice. He didn’t leave you alone. But you were starting to look forward to his presence—it was the only form of comfort and familiarity you had in this place.
That same night, you sat in your bunk with your knees pulled up to your chest after lights out. The faint glow of the piggy bank was the only thing illuminating the dark room. It allowed your eyes to wander around without being too obvious, although most players were long asleep. You, however, were wide awake. That would only be prolonged when a certain someone decided to come invade your personal space.
You almost didn’t register how your mattress dipped below the weight of another person, your unfocused gaze and scrambled thoughts making you oblivious. Your head shot up, and your body quickly relaxed once you recognized the figure on the end of your bunk.
“Relax,” Thanos whispered as if you weren’t surrounded by people who could easily take you out. “Just me again.”
“Shouldn’t you be asleep? Thought the pills would have knocked you out.” You cringed as the words left your mouth, not even trying to come off as rude. He chose to ignore it, though.
“Could ask you the same thing. Shouldn’t you be asleep?” He asked as you shrugged.
“Can’t sleep.” You said simply, looking at him in the golden glow of the pig.
“I noticed. That’s why I came over here,” he said as he made himself comfortable on your bunk, sitting with his legs crossed. You mirrored his movements as sitting with your knees up was becoming slightly uncomfortable.
The two of you sat and conversed for longer than you expected. You knew it wasn’t ideal—both of you should be getting enough rest for the third game. He was very easy to talk to, you had to admit.
“So, how did someone like you end up in a place like this, señorita?” He asked, and you had been dreading that question. You could easily lie and come up with something other than your situation, because in all honesty Thanos absolutely seemed like the gullible type. However, you had come to trust him in the short amount of time you’d known him and didn’t feel that it was necessary to lie. You fidgeted with the sleeves of your jacket, taking in a shaky breath.
“I’ve raked up a lot of debt. I know that goes for everybody here, obviously. But it wasn’t my fault,” You paused, your eyes averting to stare at the mattress. “My partner…after we started dating, they got me to move in with them. Everything was going well until then. After I moved in, they had me quit my job. Promised to “take care of me”, said I wouldn’t have to worry about working. Then they drained my account, took everything I worked for. Blew through it, left both of us with nothing,” You said as you rolled up your sleeves, showing off the fading and now yellow bruises that littered your arms. “This has been my life. Escape always felt impossible, until I was handed that card in the subway station,” You let out a humourless laugh, feeling tears sting the back of your eyes. “And that’s why I’ve been voting to stay. So I can pay off my debt, and get the hell out of there. But easier said than done, I suppose.”
Thanos was silent. The deafening silence that made you uneasy, and you almost regretted saying anything at all. You kept your eyes averted, honestly in disbelief that you had confided in him so easily. But then, you heard him slowly exhale. His hands reached over, rings brushing against your skin as he tugged your sleeves back down. His touch was gentle, hands steady—he wasn’t high.
“Hey,” he said softly, his finger guiding your chin up so that you were looking at him. “Trust me when I say that we’re getting you out of here. And then you’re getting out of there. On my life, a hand will not be laid on you again.”
You looked at him in shock. His expression was something unreadable—but you could see the anger that lingered underneath. Never in a million years did you expect something so sincere to come out of his mouth, not from the least serious player in the games. It honestly left you feeling confused. Did he really care about you that much? You hadn’t even known each other long.
“That’s the plan, I hope,” you said with a humorless laugh. Your stomach churned at the thought of failure, of not being able to leave. As Thanos opened his mouth to speak, you held your hand up to stop him. Talking about your situation only made the mood bleak, and you didn’t want to talk about it anymore.
“What about you, Thanos? How’d you end up here?” You asked with a tilt of your head. He paused, dropping his hand from your chin. Thankfully, he recognized that you were redirecting the conversation. He chuckled as if the answer should be obvious.
“Blew all of my money on drugs, clubbing, clothes, shoes, you name it. Spent it on whatever I wanted. When I went through all of my money, I went to loan sharks. Started coming after me because I couldn’t pay it back. Simple as that, sweetheart,” He hesitated then, as if there were more to it. And there was. “The recruiter found me on a bridge. I was about to just end it all before he got there. So now here I am. Guess you could say he saved my life, in a way.”
Your lips parted in shock at his confession, not expecting vulnerability from him like that. “Oh wow, I’m so sorry Thanos-”
“Su-bong,” he interrupted, causing you to pause mid sentence. “My real name is Su-bong. Hearing you say Thanos just sounds strange.”
Slowly, you nodded. “If you say so, Su-bong.” You spoke unsurely, his name sounding foreign on your tongue.
“That’s more like it,” he said with an encouraging grin. “I like the way my name sounds coming out of your mouth much more than Thanos.” He winked, causing your cheeks to burn. You smacked his leg and he laughed, causing a nearby player to tell him to “shut the fuck up”.
That night, Su-bong had fallen asleep on your bunk. Neither of you meant for it to happen, however exhaustion had hit both of you hard seemingly out of nowhere. He actually had fallen asleep mid conversation; you had asked him a question and got nothing but snoring as a response. You didn’t have the heart to wake him up and kick him off, so you let him sleep at the end of your bunk. Shortly after he passed out, you followed suit, curled up at the head of your bed. If you were being honest with yourself, it was the safest you’d felt in a while.
When you awoke the next morning, Su-bong was already up and gone. You did take notice of the blanket covering your body that wasn’t there when you had fallen asleep, though. The gesture was sweet, something you weren’t used to. It warmed your heart, but guilt started to creep in at the same time–even though it shouldn’t.
“The third game will begin momentarily. All players, please get out of bed and get ready.”
You sighed, swinging your legs over the side of your bunk and standing up along with all of the other players. Making your way into the center of the room and into the crowd, you immediately made your way towards the easily recognizable mess of purple hair. He was standing with Nam-gyu, surely doing something stupid, and as you got closer you could instantly recognize that they were high. Your smile faltered slightly, but you shook it off as you approached. If he needed it to get through the games, so be it.
Su-bong noticed you immediately, a grin adorning his face. “Señorita! There you are!”
You chuckled, falling into step with him as you headed towards the stairs to the game arena. “Good to see you too, Su-bong.” As his name left your mouth, Nam-gyu immediately threw a questioning look towards him. Su-bong noticed and threw his hand up, accidentally smacking Nam-gyu in the face with it. He slung his other arm around your shoulder, pulling you in closer. You weren’t entirely sure if it was affection or for his own benefit, considering his noticeably unsteady steps.
During the game–which ended up being mingle–had to be the most terrified you’d felt in your time there. This was a game where desperation reared its head, players shoving and ripping each other away to ensure their spot in a room. The entire time, much to your relief, Su-bong stuck with you. Your wrist was constantly in his grip so that he didn’t lose you. He almost had, during the final round. He chose you over Nam-gyu, dragging you towards a room with a speed you didn’t know was possible. Someone had grabbed the back of your tracksuit jacket before you got in the room, trying to rip you away from safety. Su-bong was extremely quick to react, even while high, and ripped the other player away from you with a strength you didn’t know he had. Besides that minor incident, the game had gone as good as it could’ve–although your tremors had yet to slow down.
Upon heading back to the dormitory, you nervously waited for the vote to be cast yet again. Your hands shook, still slightly shaken up. Su-bong stayed by your side, his arm brushing against yours. There were only 100 players left, and the prize money was at 356,000,000 won. It was almost enough. Almost.
You placed your vote, yet again voting to stay. You stood on the O side, arms crossed across your chest. Watching as Su-bong skipped up to the booth and smashed his lips onto the O button, you couldn’t help but roll your eyes. He scampered over to you immediately, then changed direction and pushed his way towards the back. You paid no mind, feeling too much anxiety about the vote to pay attention. However, you could faintly hear him and Nam-gyu starting to harass Min-su into voting to play another game. To their dismay, he didn’t. Nam-gyu, who voted after him, was noticeably unhappy. You weren’t thrilled either at the thought of losing a vote, but you couldn’t blame him.
Down to the final vote, you held your breath. The vote was currently tied. Deep down, part of you knew that this was it and you weren’t winning this. Accepting it was a different story. As player 001 walked up to the booth, your hands clenched into fists. Su-bong, who was next to you, took notice and grabbed one of your hands. He ran his thumb across the back of your hand.
“Don’t worry, señorita. We’re going to win this vote.” He said it with too much confidence. Time stood still as player 001 made it to the booth, pausing before he made his decision. The red X button illuminated, changing the vote from a tie. Immediately, cheers erupted from the X voters. It was decided.
The sound of the final vote echoed in your ears, muffled and distant, like you were trapped underwater. The games were over. You were going home.
Your chest tightened. Your breath hitched. No. No, no, no—
You could hear the other players on your side reacting around you. But their voices barely registered. The moment the vote was cast, your body locked up, panic surging through your veins.
This was supposed to be your way out, the only way you’d be able to pay all of your debt and get your own place to leave your partner. Now, you weren’t sure what you would do.
Your hands curled into fists, nails biting into your palms as you stared blankly ahead. You had spent the past few days convincing yourself that you just had to survive. Just win. Just hold on long enough, and then you’d be free. Free from the debt. Free from the hands that grabbed too tightly, from the voice that spat venom at you whenever you spoke out of turn.
But you weren’t free. You were going back to them.
Your breathing grew shallow. Your vision blurred at the edges. The world felt too small, suffocating you as the reality of your situation settled in. You knew you were perhaps being irrational, not thinking clearly—but it was hard not to.
A firm grip on your wrist yanked you back to the present. You flinched, expecting the worst, but when you looked up, it wasn’t them. It was Su-bong.
His grip was solid, grounding. “Breathe,” he murmured.
You shook your head wildly, your voice barely more than a whisper. “I-it’s not enough money, Su-bong. What am I supposed to do?”
Something dark flickered in his gaze. His jaw tightened, and his fingers flexed around your wrist before slowly releasing you.
“Don’t worry. I’m going to come find you, no matter what it takes.” He promised, but in the moment it felt empty. You couldn’t even respond, your thoughts racing as the dormitory became chaotic. The guards were saying something but you couldn’t even listen.
Suddenly, you could hear a hissing sound. Smoke began to spill out of all of the vents, quickly filling the dormitory. You brought your hands up and gripped Su-bong’s wrists, everything becoming hazy. The last thing you saw was his face, and the last thing you heard was his voice.
“You hear me? I will find my way to you.” Then everything went dark.
—-
As you expected, life outside of the games hadn’t gotten any better. The games had been disbanded for almost a month now, and nothing had changed. You were miserable, still burdened by your remaining debt and toxic partner.
They hadn’t let go of the fact that you had disappeared without a trace for three days, only to show up again in the dead of night. It was dangled above your head, used as a way to manipulate and guilt trip you. You felt lost, hopeless even.
Your mind was still plagued by Su-bong. You wondered how he was faring after being granted freedom. His promise to find you hadn’t come to fruition yet, but you still clung to it–it was the only thing keeping you going. But until then, you lived your life in misery.
You had convinced your partner to let you pick up a part time job at a local convenience store. It had taken a lot of convincing, because they were sure you were going to disappear again. But you pressed, telling them it was just to get some extra money, promising to get them whatever they wanted with it. In reality, you didn’t care about that. You wanted an escape, to be able to go somewhere where you weren’t constantly scrutinized. And thankfully, it worked.
Late night shifts were your favorite. It was the only sliver of peace you had–where the streets were empty, where you could breathe, if only for a moment.
That’s where you were now, walking home from work, the cold biting at your skin. The chill didn’t bother you–in fact, it seemed to keep you grounded, stopping you from getting into your own head. The silence was welcome, nobody around to bother you. But that’s when you felt it.
A presence.
It was subtle at first, something you could easily shrug off. Then, you heard footsteps. Directly behind you.
Your breath caught, heart racing. You had to keep moving. Ducking into the nearest alley, you turned the corner almost too fast, nearly losing your footing. You didn’t dare to look back. You weren’t sure who was behind you, but paranoia told you it was your partner. They had warned you. Told you they’d be watching. That if you ever even thought about running—
A hand closed around your wrist. You gasped, your fight or flight response kicking in. Before you could do anything, whether it be scream, fight or run–you were spun around.
Your mind took an extra second to catch up with your body, not registering who was in front of you. But when you caught a glimpse of purple hair, the chain around his neck, the ear piercing–your eyes widened.
Su-bong.
The adrenaline left your body, your tense posture sagging with relief. You only stared at him, unable to form words, in disbelief that he was in front of you. But he spoke before you could. He lazily grinned at you, holding his arms out and gesturing to himself.
“I told you I’d find you.” He said, and hearing his voice set something off in your head. You wasted no time in throwing your arms around him. He reciprocated, his arms immediately snaking around you tightly.
“Oh my god, you have no idea how happy I am to see you and hear your voice.” You admitted quietly, and he chuckled. After a moment he pulled back, holding your shoulders at arm's length. His eyes raked over your form, his smile slipping away as he took in your exhausted appearance. His smile disappeared further at the fact that you had tried to run, thinking he was someone more dangerous.
“Did you think I was someone else?” He asked with a tilt of his head, and you swallowed hard.
“Yeah..” you whispered, knowing there was no point in lying. He already knew your situation.
He frowned, watching as you nervously played with the ends of your sleeves. Anger bubbled in his chest, easily interpreting what was going on. “You’re still there, aren’t you?” He murmured. Slowly, you nodded.
“...I’m still there, Su-bong,” you admitted, slightly ashamed. “I’m still not financially stable enough to get out and get my own place. Not with the debt I have, too.” You could feel his grip tighten at your words. Thankfully, he didn’t press, but his next words made you stiffen.
“Let me walk you home. That’s where you were going, right?”
“Yes,” you said, hesitating as you chose your next words. “You can walk me home. But that’s it.” You warned, knowing he had some kind of underlying intention. He nodded, the grin returning to his face.
“That’s all I need, señorita,” he slung an arm around your shoulder. “Such a pretty flower shouldn’t have to walk home by herself in the dark, anyway.” He began to walk, pulling you along with him. You rolled your eyes at his comment, but smiled–that was such a Thanos thing to say.
Your walk back to your apartment was peaceful. But as soon as you reached the building, the atmosphere shifted. You turned to Thanos, and he looked down at you. You offered a small smile, one that didn’t quite reach your eyes.
“Thank you,” you murmured, and he nodded. He took his phone out of his back pocket, pulling up a new contact before handing the device to you.
“Put your number in. Please,” He said as you took his phone from him. You typed your number in, and then to lighten the mood, you set your contact name as Player 243. Handing it back, you watched him shake his head. “You’re something else.”
“I try,” you said with a laugh. Then, you took a step back from him, signaling you were about to make your way to your apartment. “Goodbye, Su-bong.” You said, a warning edge to your voice. He grabbed your hand before you could get too far, lifting it up and pressing a kiss to the back of it. Your heart skipped a beat, face heating up.
“See you later, (Y/N).” He said, letting go of your hand. He gestured for you to ascend the stairs, and you did. You didn’t disappear until you made sure he turned his back to leave the complex.
Sighing in relief, you slowly made your way to your door. It wasn’t like you actually wanted him to leave–you just didn’t want more unnecessary problems. You wanted to be smart about this. Pulling out your keys, you fiddled to find the correct one. As you moved to put it in the lock, you paused.
“Su-bong,” you whispered, your eye twitching. “What did I tell you?” Looking over your shoulder, you shot him a glare.
He had his hands shoved in his pockets, looking around and avoiding your gaze like he had no clue what you were talking about. You had to give it to him, though, he seemed to materialize out of thin air. For someone who was typically so loud, he knew how to move silently when he wanted to.
“I have no idea what you’re talking about,” he said as he finally met your eyes. His expression softened. “Come on. Did you really think I was gonna let you go in here alone? Especially with the way you acted earlier?”
You only rolled your eyes. “What exactly is your plan here?” You asked while pushing the door open slightly, signaling for him to be quiet. Unfortunately, the universe hated you.
“Maybe beat some ass–I mean talk some sense–into someone.” Su-bong responded nonchalantly. But his voice was a little too loud.
“Who the fuck is at the door?” A voice slurred from inside, causing your stomach to drop. You were so screwed.
You barely had time to react before Thanos reached forward, pushing the door open wider with one hand.
Your partner stumbled out into the entryway, rubbing their eyes, blinking at the unfamiliar figure now standing in their doorway. Confusion twisted into irritation. Then into anger.
“Who the hell are you?”
Su-bong didn’t answer. He just stared, gaze cold and unreadable. It was like a switch flipped, his chill demeanor disappearing in an instant.
Your partner sneered, stepping closer to you. "You screwing around on me, huh? That what this is?" They turned their glare on you, their lip curling. “You brought him here, didn’t you? You really think some asshole off the street can save you—”
A loud crack echoed through the apartment. It happened so fast, you barely registered it.
Su-bong’s fist connected with your partner’s jaw, sending them sprawling backward. They hit the floor with a thud, groaning.
It was like something took over him, rage consuming his whole body. Before your partner could recover, Su-bong was on top of him.
“You fucked up. You think you’re tough, treating a defenseless girl like that?” Su-bong spoke calmly–but there was a dangerous edge to his voice. It was a warning.
Your partner sneered, rolling their eyes. “I don’t know who you think you are, man. But stay the fuck out of it.” They tried to shove him off. Before you could even blink, Su-bong struck again. His fist connected with their face–a hit that knocked the arrogance straight out of them. He channeled his blinding anger into every hit laid into your partner. His fists quickly became bloodied. Each hit was filled with fury; he wasn’t just fighting, he was punishing.
“You like keeping her scared, don’t you?” Su-bong snarled between punches, eyes dark. “Makes you feel powerful. Makes you feel big.” He let out a humorless laugh. “Pathetic.”
You watched with a hand over your mouth, torn between horror, relief and some dark sense of satisfaction. No one had ever stood up for you like this. But as you watched, you realized he had no intention of stopping–you had to intervene before he literally killed them.
“Su-bong,” Your voice was quiet, but he heard you loud and clear as he paused. “Please.” You whispered, a plea to stop only because you were worried about him. You didn’t want this to get him in trouble. He exhaled slowly, but wasn’t done yet. He grabbed your partner’s collar, bringing their bloodied face closer to his.
In a low, chilling tone, he delivered an ultimatum. “If you ever come near her again, I promise that I will finish what I started. Are we clear?” They nodded frantically, and he slammed them back to the floor. Su-bong got to his feet, finally turning towards you. His eyes softened upon landing on your shocked form. “C’mon,” He started casually, wiping his hands on his pants. “Let’s go get your stuff and get out of here.” You nodded, trying to will your legs to move.
After the events that had transpired, you ended up in Su-bong’s apartment. You brought as many of your belongings with you as you could, with the promise that you could stay with him for as long as necessary. While he helped you get settled into his guest room, you tried to come up with the right words. You hadn’t spoken about what had just happened, how he almost just killed for you. You stopped what you were doing, watching him for a moment. He sat on the bed, his long legs dangling off the edge.
“Hey,” You called out, and he stopped whatever he was doing to look at you. “I never thanked you,” you said softly. “I don’t think I would’ve made it out of there without you.”
He reached out and grabbed your arms, pulling you towards him so that you were standing between his legs. “You don’t have to thank me,” He murmured, cupping your face with his hands. “I was just doing the right thing. I would’ve never let you walk in there alone, you know that. You never deserved that. I just want to make sure you’re happy.”
And you smiled, the first genuine smile you’d shown in weeks. He grinned, running his thumb across your cheek. “That smile looks good on you, señorita,” He whispered, standing up and placing a soft kiss on your forehead. Your cheeks burned, not used to being complimented after being degraded for so long. “You should get some rest, flower. If you need anything you know where to find me.” You nodded and he left the room, giving you some space. You sat down on the bed and smiled to yourself.
Your heart was full; for the first time in a very long time, you finally felt completely safe. You knew you weren’t alone anymore.

MASTERLIST
You had a huge argument with your best friend over her toxic boyfriend and she decided that the two of you should take some time apart but you knew that was just her boyfriend talking. You've known each other for years and were so close that her words came as an absolute shock and broke your heart. That night you just wanted to forget everything and have a good time. You went to the club with some of your other friends and danced and had a few drinks. You were tipsy enough to make you feel braver than usual but not remotely enough that you didn't know what you were doing. You had never had a one-night stand before but everything is a first sometime.
Jimin
Your friends had all gone back to the dance floor but you weren't feeling it anymore. No matter how hard you tried to not think of your friend, she kept popping into your head. You finished your drink and decided to call it a night.
A few guys asked you to dance with them but you refused all. They were grabby and drunk and you knew better. You made your way to the dance floor and said goodbye to your friends when one of the guys from earlier took your waist and pulled you into his arms. He was grinning as if he had just won the lottery and although you tried to push him away, he only held you tighter. There was beer on his breath and his wrinkled shirt was smothered with a cheap fragrance.
You tried to get out of his grasp again and this time you succeeded although not on your own. An unknown man was holding the drunk by the fabric of his shoulder.
"You need to leave her alone," he warned.
"Who the hell are you? I know she's here alone, I-I saw her girl friends," the drunken guy's tongue twisted.
"I'm someone telling you to keep your hands off her," said the stranger as his frown only grew darker.
"Leave him alone, baby. Let's just go home," you went along and took the man's hand. He turned around and your eyes met. You were grateful that the club was dark because your cheeks flushed bright red. He was gorgeous.
"Man, this is such bullshit..." yelled the drunk guy and stumbled back, suddenly distracted by a bottle of bear someone didn't finish.
"You okay?" asked the stranger and tucked a piece of stray hair behind your ear. He gave your cheek a small caress with the back of his hand as you nodded.
"What's your name?" he asked, leaning down slightly.
"It's Y/N," you said over the loud music.
"I'm Jimin," he spoke close to your ear, giving you goosebumps. You nodded again, at a loss for words. Your eyes shifted to his lips involuntarily and you couldn't help but lick yours. Jimin watched you with amusement dancing in his dark eyes and made you blush even harder.
"I'm sorry," you apologized quickly, feeling unbelievably rude after he helped you get away from a complete creep.
"It's okay," grinned Jimin. His smile woke up the butterflies in your stomach. He cupped your cheek again and leaned in closer, his thumb caressing your soft skin. He waited for you to make the final move. Jimin's smile disappeared completely and his face grew serious. You wrapped your arms around his neck and closed the space between your lips. His kiss was soft but confident and he wore a fragrance that was dark and woody and yet fresh at the same time. Whenever he pulled away, you came back for more until he was sure you really wanted this.
You could barely remember how you got there but you were in Jimin's apartment, searching blindly for the buttons of his shirt. His touch made you forget everything else. His hands squeezed your bum before he unzipped your dress and you managed to get the last button of his shirt. Jimin took it off as you turned around and let his lips leave a trace down your neck. He pulled down your dress and guided your waist to his hips. As if he weren't hard enough before, now he was losing his mind. Jimin's hand slipped down your stomach and to your underwear. You moaned when two of his fingers caressed the wet crease between your thighs. You leaned back against him, your bum pressed tightly against his member. Jimin's hand slipped in your underwear, making you gasp.
"Oh my god," you kept repeating to yourself as he entered you and caressed your g-spot in a way that made you whimper out in pleasure.
Jimin sat on the bed behind him with you on his lap and his fingers never leaving you. He kissed your neck, marking your skin with countless little hickeys. Your nails dug into his arm as you came closer and closer to climaxing.
"Please don't stop," you begged.
"I won't stop," he purred against your skin. The heel of Jimin's hand was teasing your clit all the while his fingers were inside of you. Your thighs shivered as you whimpered and a wave of ecstasy washed over you. Jimin's hand wrapped around your waist and steadied you against his chest.
"How did that feel, princess? Did that feel good?" he asked quietly against your ear.
"Mhm," you nodded and turned around, your lips finding Jimin's. Your arms wrapped around his neck and his fingers unclasped your bra. You took the uncomfortable lace off and let Jimin's lips worship your chest. You unbuckled his belt and slipped your hand behind his trousers. Jimin stopped kissing you, transfixed by the pleasure your touch was bringing him. He grew bigger and harder by the moment and you couldn't wait any longer.
"Do you have a condom?" you asked against his lips. Jimin nodded and kissed you hard one more time before he reached over to the nightstand. You took the packet from his hand and tried to open it but your hands were shaking a little.
"What's wrong?" asked Jimin. He propped up your chin and made you look at him.
"Nothing, I'm just a little nervous," you smiled honestly.
Jimin shook his head a little, "Why?"
You studied his expression for a moment, the small frown on his face. "I've never done this before," you whispered playfully.
"You mean a one night stand or...?" asked Jimin, his thumb caressing your cheek. You shook your head. Something shifted in Jimin's eyes, something that made your stomach explode with fireworks.
"I want to do it," you reassured him and kissed him in a way that he forgot to breathe to prove it. He responded to your lips and gladly but you couldn't help but notice that his touch was just a little softer.
Jimin wrapped an arm around your waist and lay you down on the bed. He ran a hand through his messy hair as he stared at your perfect body. His chest was rising and falling as if he were out of breath. You watched him take off his trousers and his underwear. Your cheeks flushed to an even shade of red. Jimin slipped on the condom as you took off your panties. He took your leg and kissed your calf, then your knee and your thigh where he left another hickey before he moved up to your tummy, your chest, your neck and your lips. Your heart was beating like mad but everything disappeared when your gasp ran across Jimin's lips as he entered you. His gaze found yours as he moved his hips slowly, letting you take more and more of him. You were already sensitive and he only made you feel better. You wrapped your legs around Jimin's hips and pulled him even closer, taking all of him. Jimin couldn't hide his sounds of pleasure. He moaned deeply with each thrust. His fingers intertwined with yours as he came closer and closer. Jimin sat up and let his hands roam from your chest to your hips where he watched his length disappear inside of you. Your eyes were shut tight in pleasure and he couldn't hold back any longer. His pace quickened again and his lips found yours. Your soft whimpers drove him over the edge. His chest vibrated with a deep moan and his member pulsated deep inside of you. Jimin leaned his forehead against yours, his thumb drawing shapes against your neck.
***
You woke up late in the morning wrapped tightly in soft covers and pale silken sheets. Your body was sore in the best possible way as you stretched your limbs and the memories of last night came flooding back to you.
You opened your eyes and looked around. You were still in Jimin's apartment, and to your greatest surprise, he was sleeping beside you. You had not noticed it last night but he had five moons tattooed along his spine. He looked even more handsome than you remembered.
You sat up in bed, careful not to wake him. The moment you slipped to the edge of the bed, Jimin's arm wrapped around your waist though and pulled you back.
"Where do you think you're going?" he spoke with a morning voice so raspy it made goosebumps rise on your bare arms. You couldn't help but smile and scoot closer to him. He kissed your side before your leaned down and found his lips. The kiss was soft and slow and full of passion. As you opened your eyes, you couldn't understand why Jimin was being so nice to you. Everything you heard about one night stands and even sex was the exact opposite of your night with him.
"Coffee?" he offered sleepily and broke your stream of thought.
"Yes, please," you agreed gratefully.
Whilst Jimin made for the kitchen, you took a quick shower, stunned by the luxurious apartment. You didn't pay the slightest attention to it last night other than making sure there were no creepy things lying about that would indicate the stranger you just met was a serial killer.
You took advantage of the steaming hot shower that soothed your pleasantly sore body before you headed through the apartment. The smell of coffee beans filled the air before you even managed to find the kitchen. Jimin was wearing a pair of dark trousers and a silken white shirt that was still unbuttoned. Your cheeks turned pink as you recollected the heavenly details of last night. Still, you couldn't help but wonder who this man was. He was perhaps a few years older than you and yet his apartment was that of a millionaire.
"Who ... Who are you?" you asked carefully just Jimin turned around and saw you standing there.
"What do you mean?" he asked with a small smile and set a cup of coffee on the isle before you. When you couldn't exactly word your feelings, Jimin grew serious as well.
"I mean, you don't ..." you gestured around the apartment. "You don't look like the type of person to ... Rich people don't go to those sorts of clubs," you blurted at last.
Jimin held back a laugh but his mouth spread into a gorgeous smile nonetheless.
"I'm sorry, I'm being crass," you said desperately but he was amused. "I just don't understand how this happened, I guess ..."
"It's okay," said Jimin softly and took a sip of his coffee before he came closer and leaned against the isle. "You're right, I don't go to clubs like that. I was meeting a ... business partner," he tried to find the right word but you could tell from the tone it was someone Jimin didn't like.
You nodded and brought your coffee to your lips. Jimin was watching you, taking in the slightest detail. Your eyes met his and it suddenly hit you.
"Should I go? It's late and you're busy," your thoughts rolled down your tongue as you quickly put down your cup Jimin frowned for a split second and a dark look filled his eyes.
"Don't go," he asked as he caught your elbow gently. "You don't have to go, Y/N."
Your eyes were big and staring up at him in a way that made his stomach tingle with fireworks.
"Have brunch with me," invited Jimin in all seriousness now.
"I'm not ... I need to change," you shook your head although the thought was more than tempting.
"Dinner then," he insisted and tucked a wayward piece of hair behind your ear.
"I ... I mean, are you sure?" you couldn't help but wonder. "I thought this was just for one night."
Jimin thought so too but there was something about you that drew him closer; he wanted to know more; he wanted to know everything about you.
"I hope not," said Jimin. His gaze never left your face be it your lips of your eyes as if there was nothing else but you that interested him. A shivery breath escaped your lungs and you nodded.
"Okay, dinner tonight," you smiled.
Taehyung
You danced to the beat of the music, letting go all off the toxic thoughts that had been riddling your brain since your best friend told you of her decision. One of the friends you came to the club with was making out in a dark corner with a guy she just met. The idea appealed to you as you wished for nothing more but to forget about your day although you had never had a one-night stand before.
As you looked around, swaying your hips to the music, you found a series of eyes watching you. The men that they belonged to were almost identical to one another; they had the same hairstyle, the same clothes and even the same cheap perfume. One look at them and you remembered why you never had a one-night stand before.
When you followed your friend to the bathroom through the crowded club, a guy bumped into your shoulder, nearly knocking you on the ground with the sheer force of his walking pace. Your back hit another person as you glared at the rude guy.
"I'm so sorry," you said as you turned around quickly. A sharp breath caught in the back of your throat when your eyes met the stranger's. The young man's dark irises studied your face as his hands rested in the pockets of his black suit trousers. He wore a matching shirt and his hair was styled perfectly.
"I'm really sorry, the guy ..." you apologized again as you pointed in the rude man's direction but he had disappeared in the crowd. The stranger's dark gaze followed your gesture for a moment but then his eyes returned to you. His body language was slow and elegant as if you weren't in a crowded, hot club. He took your elbow and pulled you to him when a group of drunk girls wanted to push past you. One of them still managed to stumble against you and you steadied yourself against the man's chest.
"I'm sorry," you said instinctively for what was now the third time. He was looking down into your eyes as your faces remained only inches apart.
"It's okay," he purred softly, his thumb caressing your elbow and sending shivers down your spine. You glanced at his lips despite yourself before your eyes returned to his.
"What's your name?" you asked, almost stuttering.
"Taehyung," he spoke as he leaned down and his lips met yours. For a moment, you forgot to breathe. Your fingers balled around the man's shirt as his gorgeous perfume filled your nose. A soft moan escaped your lungs when his free hand went to the side of your neck and guided you even deeper into the kiss.
You barely made it inside of Taehyung's apartment when his lips crashed against yours and his hands went to your hips. He picked you up and you wrapped your legs around his waist, your back arched against his arms. Taehyung carried you over to the sofa where he sat down with you in his lap. You were breathing heavily as you hurried to unbutton his shirt. One look at his beautiful tan body and your tummy exploded with fireworks. You kissed Taehyung's neck and shoulder and chest as he gathered the hem of your little black dress and pulled it over your head.
"Fuck," he cursed when he saw your lacy black bra and his hands went to it immediately. He caressed your breasts before he reached to the back and unclasped your bra. Taehyung had a taste of each of them before he leaned over and grabbed a condom from the end table. You raised your hips just enough for him to slip off his pants. Your mouth watered at the sight of his size. You helped him put on the condom and scooted closer as his hands returned to your waist and you guided him inside of you, only pushing your lacy thong aside.
A quiet gasp escaped your lungs as you lowered yourself down, taking more and more of him. Taehyung's eyebrows arched into a frown of pleasure as his fingers dug into your soft waist. He guided your hips, helping you take all of him and filling your mouth with moans. Your fingers were tangled in his hair when his lips found your breasts, kissing and caressing them with his tongue.
Taehyung's arm wrapped firmly around your waist as he took some of your weight and began thrusting himself deeper inside of your pussy.
"Fuck," you whimpered, steadying yourself against the back of the sofa. Your eyes shut tight as you inched closer to an orgasm. Whilst Taehyung's lips continued worshiping your chest, you reached down to your clit and helped yourself.
A broken gasp caught in your throat as your forehead hit Taehyung's shoulder and your body shivered with pleasure. He stopped moving his hips as his hands caressed your bare back gently. Your pussy was throbbing around him and it took everything in him not to come right then but he didn't want it to end yet.
"Shh ..." whispered Taehyung when you came down from your high and ran his fingers through your hair until they came to rest on the back of your neck. He guided you back to his lips and kissed you deeply as he slowly began to move his hips again. Your soft whimper melted in your kiss when Taehyung's hands reached down to your bum, squeezing your cheeks and guiding you against him.
Taehyung groaned as a wave of pleasure washed through his body. His member pulsated deep inside you as you soaked in the pleasure-drunken look in each other's eyes. You stayed there for a while longer, not moving other than leaving hot, lazy kisses on one another's bodies.
***
You woke up to the faint smell of coffee and laundry detergent as you hid your eyes from the morning sun in the soft covers. A quiet moan vibrated in your throat as you stretched your legs and slowly opened your eyes. You sat up quickly when you realized you weren't in your bedroom but memories of last night came flooding back like a waterfall. Your cold cheeks flushed with fever when you remembered the guy you met and the night you had. You couldn't help but bite your lip as you remembered every kiss and every touch even though you had no idea how you made it to this bed.
As you stood up, you realized you weren't wearing any of your clothes. You were dressed in an over-sized black t-shirt and a pair of cotton shorts but nothing else, not even your underwear. You scanned the beautiful bedroom but there was no trace of your dress or your lingerie. Soft noises were coming from the other side of the apartment. You combed your hair with your fingers and touched your eyes to check on your makeup but you must have washed it off before you went to sleep.
You tiptoed down the narrow hallway until you reached the source of the sound. The TV was on with the morning news program but Taehyung was nowhere to be found. You took a turn and reached the kitchen-dining room area where your one-night stand was pouring himself some coffee. Taehyung heard your little footsteps and turned around. His eyes fell down to your outfit.
"I, um ... I couldn't find my clothes," you explained, drawing Taehyung's attention back to your eyes.
"They're in the bathroom," he spoke with a husky voice laced with sleep. You were about to turn around but he came over to you instead.
"Good morning," he said quietly as he handed you a cup of hot coffee, a small smile hiding in his dark eyes.
"Hi," you breathed as you couldn't help but smile as well. A soft blush crept up your cheeks.
"How did you sleep?"
You nodded and took a sip of coffee. You could not stop yourself from smiling but Taehyung couldn't either. He leaned down a little, waiting for you to back away but you didn't. Taehyung came even closer and tasted the coffee on your lips. Your hand went to his cheek instinctively where you caressed your thumb over his smoothly shaven cheek. His touch was driving you crazy.
"Are you hungry? I'll make you breakfast," purred Taehyung as he left soft kisses down your neck.
"No, it's okay," you said quietly, your hands wrapped around his neck.
"Is there something else that I can get you?" asked Taeyhung when he returned back to your lips. His forehead was leaning against yours and the look in your eyes was telling him one thing and one thing alone.
Taehyung's hands squeezed your bum as he lifted you up before you wrapped your legs around his waist and he carried you back to the bedroom.
Jungkook
You decided to call it a night but your friends wanted to stay. The club was hot and stuffy with disgusting men trying to get you to dance with them all the time. Even as you made your way outside, there was no shortage of drunk guys who were taking your hand or even your waist to dance with you.
You made it outside at last and sighed deeply, savoring the cool night air. The smell of cigarette smoke made your nose scrunch up as well as your eyebrows. You looked around until you saw a dark figure smoking in the shadow of the streetlight. You looked away quickly, hoping that the stranger didn't notice you. It was dark and all of your friends were inside.
A pair of guys was laughing across the street from the club and they were staring directly at you. One nudged the other and they began walking over. You hugged your arms and looked over your shoulder to the light of the club. The men were almost in front of you when the dark figure emerged from the shadow and stood up next to you. He took one last drag from his cigarette and flicked it away carelessly. Although it was cold, he only wore a black t-shirt and his arm was covered in tattoos. The two men stopped for a moment when they saw the stranger beside you then made their way past you back into the club. A trembling breath escaped your lungs as you watched them disappear. You were about to thank the stranger when he spoke first.
"What are you doing out here alone? Where are your friends?" he asked almost sternly. Your gaze flicked to his lip ring before it returned to his dark frown.
"I ... How did you know I was here with friends?" you answered with a question.
"I saw you when you came," he said and looked at the club. The two men were hanging around the door, catching glimpses of you. They made your stomach twist into knots but the stranger stepped in front of you, blocking their vision of you. The man's broad back was facing you and he was staring at the pair. Although there was cigarette smoke lingering on him, his pleasant perfume overpowered it. As much as you hated to admit, he was gorgeous.
"My friends are staying for a while longer," you told him, making him turn around. He studied your features for a moment and you couldn't help but do the same in turn. The look in his eyes gave you butterflies.
"You shouldn't be out here alone," said the stranger more gently this time. You bit the corner of your lip, wording the craziest, most spontaneous thought that has ever occurred to you.
"Can I come with you?"
You couldn't believe how easy it was. He helped you put on the spare helmet of his bike and told you to hold on. Your hands were wrapped around his waist and he placed his palm over yours every now and then making sure you were holding on tightly.
Jungkook pulled up in the garage of a tall apartment building and the roaring engine slowly died. He climbed off first and helped you take off your helmet, his dark eyes focused intently on the clip beneath your chin. His gaze shifted to your lips once the helmet was off and move up to your eyes. He propped his arms on the bike as he leaned down, waiting for you to come closer. A shivery breath caught in the back of your throat as you slowly reached up to his neck and guided him to your lips. The kiss was soft at first and then it grew deeper, hungrier.
You barely made it up to Jungkook's apartment with your clothes on. Jungkook pulled off your dress down to your hips the second you reached the bedroom, too impatient to feel the soft skin of your breasts. His hands reached beneath your soft lacy bra and moved to your back to unclasp it. Your face was burning hot as you sat on his lap and his kisses made fireworks explode throughout your body.
"I've never been with anyone before," you confessed against Jungkook's lips when his hands reached to the soft skin of your bum. He pulled away with difficulty as his eyebrows furrowed into a deep frown and he opened his dark eyes. He studied your beautiful face, not being able to wrap his head around what you just said.
"Is that okay?" you asked quietly when you saw his frown. He didn't answer but pulled you even closer and kissed you with so much passion that the breath was knocked out of your chest. Jungkook's fingers were tangled in the hair on the back of your head as he guided you against his lips. His touch was softer yet no less confident.
You couldn't help but moan as you rubbed your hips against his trousers and Jungkook's frown only grew darker. He picked up your hips and reversed your positions. Your legs wrapped around his waist as he came closer and found your lips again. Jungkook began leaving soft, wet kisses down your neck. A desperate moan escaped your mouth when Jungkook's lips roamed your chest, his piercing brushing against your sensitive skin.
Jungkook pulled your dress off completely and threw it across the floor. He froze at the sight of your body beneath him, nothing left on you but your lacy underwear. Jungkook's dark gaze snapped to your eyes almost as if asking you whether you really wanted to do this. Mesmerized by the look on his face, you couldn't find a single word, all you wanted was to feel him.
Jungkook leaned down and kissed the side of your knee, then your thigh and finally the hem of your panties. His fingers wrapped around the delicate fabric before they slowly took off your underwear.
"Fuck, you're so perfect," he moaned at the sight of you. His arms wrapped around your thighs as she pulled you to him and his mouth buried into your pussy. You gasped and whimpered as his tongue caressed your clit. Your toes curled with pleasure and your eyes shut tight.
"Oh my god," you gasped when your whole body began tingling with heat. Your nails dug into the covers of Jungkook's bed as you came but he kept going. The look of ecstasy on your face made him so hard it hurt.
"Wait, I can't..." you moaned. Jungkook stopped and you rolled on your side, completely gone with pleasure. Jungkook wiped his mouth on the back of his hand before he came closer and left a soft kiss on your bare shoulder.
"It's okay, kitten," he spoke quietly and his fingers drew shapes against your back. Jungkook lay down on the bed beside you and pulled you closer. He guided your head to the nook of his neck and rested one of your thighs across his hips. As he watched you resting from your high, he couldn't help but kiss your temple. No matter how much he wanted you, he couldn't bring himself to disturb you.
Jungkook knew right then he was done for, you were just so perfect in to him.
You ran your hand across Jungkook's chest. He leaned down and kissed your lips and you eagerly responded for more.
"Did that feel good?" murmured Jungkook against your neck where he left a small hickey. You could only moan in agreement when his hand returned to your pussy and caressed you some more. You winced at his soft touch first, still so sensitive from your orgasm. You used your fingers to feel the hard length over his trousers. Jungkook gave your lips a small bite when you did, never wanting you to stop. You touched him some more but he couldn't take it.
Jungkook stood up, took off his pants and grabbed a condom form the nightstand. He was gone for less than a moment before his large hands returned to your hips and he watched his length slowly disappear inside of you. A loud moan filled your mouth as one of his hands ran up your tummy and he began moving his hips. Jungkook leaned down and found your lips once again, your eyebrows in a deep frown of pleasure. He cursed under his breath, moving faster and faster. You wrapped your legs around his hips as your fingers dug into the hot skin of Jungkook's back. The closer he came, the louder the deep moans rumbling in his chest. He grabbed one of your hands and locked your fingers against the bed. His grip was strong but you didn't mind. Your mouth filled with small whimpers as you came closer and closer to another orgasm. Jungkook's gaze shifted from your body to your eyes when he saw you edging nearer.
"Oh my god," you whispered over and over again until you were out of breath and your legs were shaking. You closed a hand over your mouth but Jungkook pinned it against the sheets, wanting to hear every sound of pleasure he was giving you. Seeing you come again sent Jungkook over the edge. His eyebrows fell into a deep frown as he couldn't hold back a moan. You could feel him pulsating deep inside of you and his fingers locking down your hands against the bed. He lay on the bed beside you and pulled you to him, both of your chest heaving and hearts racing like mad.
***
You pulled the covers closer to your chest. It was cold and it felt early although the sun was shinning in your eyes. You ran a hand through your hair as you turned on your back and looked around you. The details of last night began coming back to you as you took in the minimalist bedroom but Jungkook was nowhere to be seen.
You got out of bed, realizing you were in nothing but an oversized black t-shirt and not even your underwear. Once you found your bra and panties, you quickly took off the t-shirt and put them on. The bedroom door opened and Jungkook walked in. He froze at the sight of you and you of him. He was sweaty as if he had just finished a work out.
"I ..." you began awkwardly and hugged your arms across your abdomen, "I was just looking for my dress."
Jungkook's dark eyes fell down your body, taking in inch by inch until they slowly managed to return to your blushing cheeks. He got your dress from one of the armchairs by the dresser and brought it to you. You thanked him and slipped it on. You pulled your hair to the side and turned around for him to zip you up. Jungkook paused, holding back with every fiber in his body. He pulled up the zipper but his arms immediately sneaked around your waist and pulled you back to him. His lips found the hickey on your neck and kissed it softly and you couldn't help but lean back onto him.
"You're not thinking of leaving already?" Jungkook purred against your skin.
"I don't know," you whispered. You just had the most exciting night of your life but it was just a one night stand. A part of you was stunned that he didn't ask you to leave in the middle of the night already if any of the tales your friends told you were the standard.
"Do you want me to leave?" you asked slowly.
"No," Jungkook's chest rumbled against your back. His grip around your waist grew stronger as he took in the wonderful smell of your skin. He couldn't get enough although he had never planned this to last more than one night.
"Stay," he asked, "And have dinner with me tonight."
You froze.
"Doesn't breakfast come first?" you smiled after you recovered from the initial surprise.
"Dinner means I might keep you here for another night," said Jungkook against your soft neck. Goosebumps rose on your bare arms. You didn't know what you were thinking, you only knew you acted on your instincts.
"Alright," you said, "Let's have dinner."

A little birdie told me the Elriel tags were in desperate need of some good vibes and unhinged smut, so dropping by to sprinkle a slutty lil one shot!
Summary:
Elain escapes to the Dawn Court for one evening, hoping to ease the pain of her broken heart with the distraction of a ball. But Azriel, the very shadowsinger she has sworn to forget, has followed her. And he isn't too keen on letting other males put their hands on the Night Court seer.
Warnings: Explicit sexual content. Rough sex, exhibitionism, mild pain/power dynamic kink, orgasm denial, breeding kink, garden fucking, yes literal hedge maze fucking, unhinged jealous possessive Azriel and Elain loves it, it's basically just kinky. But very beginner friendly! (er... in my opinion. I guess let me know if I'm wrong about that lolol)
This fic was inspired by Deep End by Ali Hazelwood for @yourstarsmyscars and all the girlies who went insane for Lukas Blomqvist as a modern day Azriel.
Read the fic here
Preview below the cut.
“Elain,” Azriel called after her, but she didn’t slow down. Not until she managed to shove her way through the crowded ballroom and burst out into the garden for a breath of fresh air. “Elain, stop.”
“You’re giving me orders now?” Elain spun on her heel. “What are you doing here, Azriel?”
Azriel’s nostrils flared. “I’m making sure you’re safe. Someone obviously needs to.”
Elain’s jaw fell open, then quickly snapped closed. She was right, then. He’d been sent after her. It stung more than she cared to admit. “I am perfectly safe. Not that it is any business of yours. You can tell my sisters there is nothing to worry about.”
Azriel’s gaze briefly flickered in confusion at the mention of her sisters, but it was gone in an instant, replaced by an icy rage. “Oh really?” Azriel moved in on her, forcing her to retreat until the stone wall halted her movements. “Damon Thatcher is a sniveling creep. There is no way in hell I would let you accept a drink from him.”
“Let me?” Elain’s chest heaved. How dare he? “You don’t control what I do and don’t do Azriel. I will dance with whoever I want and drink champagne with whoever I want, and you don’t get to say a damn word about it.”
She shoved at his chest, but he snatched her wrists in his hands and pressed her into the wall.
“Not him,” he said, so low and quiet her breath hitched. “Promise me it won’t be him. He’s an ass.”
Elain took a deep breath, trying desperately to clear the fog from the heat of his body and the light, heady buzz from the champagne. “Why does it matter to you?”
Azriel’s pupils blew wide and his breath sawed through his chest. But he didn’t say a single word.
Elain’s heart was caving in. She couldn’t stand to be this close to Azriel. To breathe in his scent and feel his eyes boring into her, as if he would die if he couldn’t touch her. But he had already proven that wasn’t true. It was a mistake. He never wanted her in the way she thought. So why was he doing this?
“You don’t want me, but no one else gets to have me either? Is that what this is?” She shook her head and turned away, desperate to keep him from seeing the tears forming. “It seems like the only ass here is you, Azriel.” This time, he didn’t stop her when she shoved him away.
It broke something in her. After all this time, she still held on to some fragile hope that she hadn’t imagined everything between them. That the crazed and desperate look she sometimes saw in his eyes wasn’t just… Well, whatever it was. She had no idea anymore. But it hurt too much to try to understand.
“I won’t accept a drink or another dance from Damon,” Elain said over her shoulder. “I… I didn’t like the way he made me feel. But I am not leaving here alone tonight, Azriel. I can’t bear another night alone. So, please. Don’t interfere again.”
Her hand had just barely begun to reach for the knob when darkness swarmed around her.
She landed hard against a cold stone wall, and gasped for breath when the shadows faded and revealed a small fountain surrounded by hedges. Elain had seen the large hedge maze in the Dawn Court gardens, and briefly considered how romantic it would be to sneak quietly away if she indeed found someone she could attempt to distract herself from Azriel with. But it was Azriel himself gripping her wrists and looking like a half crazed animal.
“Azriel,” Elain hissed. “What are you doing?”
“No,” he choked out.
“No what?”
“No, I don’t want anyone else touching you.”

ISAT ACT 5 SPOILERS!!
okay I said I was going to give more thoughts on act 5 of ISAT and then uh. I didn't. oopsies. but we're here now!!
I loved Odile's friendquest in this act SO much. one of my favorite things about the way the game handled Siffrin's actions throughout the entirety of act 5 in general is that everyone's reactions to him were so DIFFERENT. but not only were they different, they had reasons for being different. it wasn't just "Siffrin says something messed up, hurts someone's feelings, pushes it down, rinse and repeat". each "breakdown" was specifically tailored to be character specific. to fit in with how they've behaved in the story thus far, as well as how Siffrin feels about them/tends to respond to them in particular. with Mirabelle, it really was entirely accidental. Siffrin didn't even realize how their wording might come across in the moment. It wasn't him lashing out in any way - just him genuinely trying to cut corners. Odile?? Odile's was very different. it's easy to see that there's a lot of tension between Siffrin and Odile - more tension than there is with anyone else. Odile has been a thorn in Sif's side - constantly observing and watching and theorizing about why they're behaving strangely. I did the sus quest. Sif knows that she has the ability to figure it out. Consequently, they have to be way more aware of her than anyone else. (side note that's not entirely relevant to this but I want to bring it up - the fact Siffrin believes that her constant eye on him is because "she doesn't trust you" makes me sick. because that's not it at all. they might pretend it is. hell, she might act like it is. but it's not and she knows that. she knows it's because she's worried because she cares and Siffrin can't understand that.) so I feel like they took the "mistake" of messing up with Odile harder than they took any of the other interactions. because how could they be so stupid. how could they forget. how could he forget that she always figures it out.
so of course he lashes out. not only are they being faced with the same blinding mistake they've made over and over and over again, it's also a reminder that she doesn't trust him. (and why should she?).
and then she goes and makes it all worse by calling him a "friend". because they know that's not how she sees them. he believes that she doesn't trust him. so it must seem like she's directly lying to his face - and she thinks they're too dense to see through it.
I love that Odile doesn't back down. she doesn't shy away when they start yelling at her. she doesn't let it slide just because she made them upset (Isa and Mira both probably would - though Isa would try and get them to talk about it later). she pushes, because that's the only way she's going to get any answers.
the way you can feel her anger when Siffrin hits her where it hurts the most (without even seeing her face) is just AUHGSKJDHFKJSH. the writing of this game. the details. never cease to amaze me. I love the way she snaps back. she doesn't get angry, she doesn't yell - and yet somehow it hurts just as badly.
I also love the way Siffrin reflects on it - the way they acknowledge that "she was only worried about you!!!" because deep down he knows that their friends do actually care about him. the way Odile handles the situation afterwards as well - at the clocktower?????? I love that you can tell she's trying so hard to make the "right" choice to not endanger them when it's not what she wants. she doesn't want to leave Siffrin behind. If they weren't going to take on the King the next day, I guarantee you she'd be using anything in her power to figure out what was going on with him. I don't have the exact quote rn but at the end of the sus questline she mentions that she can't let something go when she finds it odd - and this is BEYOND odd. but she has to put the safety of the whole group and their mission first, and I love seeing that side of her.

Lovers Rock ₊˚⊹♡ M. Sturniolo
"Y-yeah, I want to kiss you."
⟢ mentions of drinking, parties, smoking, longing, loner!Matt, trouble! Reader, kissing, that's it, I think.
PT. 1
She was a drug.
Everything, from her clothes to the way she saw him, clouded his mind, infiltrating his senses—he couldn't get her out of his head.
He was addicted, and he needed another fix.
Chris was shocked when Matt started attending more and more parties, tagging along every weekend and putting on his best outfit. He'd watch the way Matt would sit on the couches or stand in the corner, nursing an Angry Orchard as his eyes darted around the scene.
It was like he was waiting for something—or someone.
He wanted to question him, demand a reason as to why he was suddenly attending parties and leaving the house, but he bit his tongue.
For the longest time, Chris had tried to get Matt out of his shell, inviting him to places and eventually forcing him to go. Now Matt was willingly going, and Chris didn’t want to ruin it.
"Whose party is this again?" Matt questioned as he followed the GPS, making a left turn when instructed. In the passenger seat, Chris tapped away on his phone, fully immersed in the small device.
"I’m not sure. Iris said it was her friend’s house, Trouble or something. Never met the person, but I heard her New Year's parties are—"
Matt tuned Chris out, his palms adjusting on the steering wheel as they grew sweaty. Much like the ones in the sky, he could feel the fireworks in his stomach, his body buzzing with nervousness.
After endless parties for weeks on end, he finally got to see her again.
Trouble.
Before he knew it, he was parking behind a few cars and walking down the concrete path, soon entering the backyard.
It seemed like one of those coming-of-age movies—people laughing and talking around the bonfire, drinks in hand. The naked trees had fairy lights strung around them, letting off a warm glow and creating a peaceful atmosphere. The house sat right in front of a lake, a dock attached, as well as a boat.
His admiration was interrupted by a drink being shoved into his hand by Chris. "Sorry, bro, no Angry Orchards. You're stuck with the hard stuff tonight!" Matt examined the red Solo cup, bringing it to his nose and sniffing, only to jerk back when the scent burned his nostrils. Chris cackled loudly, clapping his hands together in enjoyment.
"What the hell is this?"
"Don’t know, but drink up! It’s New Year’s!"
Matt looked back down at the cup, staring at his dark reflection.
Fuck it.
Chris cheered as Matt took a sip, laughing and clapping him on the back. "Hell yeah! That’s what I’m talkin’ bout!"
With that being said, the night was a whirlwind—endless drinking, people stripping and running into the freezing lake, and much more.
Matt could feel his head spinning, his vision hazy. He mumbled to himself as he fell into one of the many chairs, leaning back and sighing out, closing his eyes in relief.
"Hey, Blue..."
His eyes darted open, his head whipping to the side at the melodic voice.
There she was, all in her glory—Trouble.
"Got a vape?" she asked, just like she did the first time they met. It took a second for him to respond, his eyes fluttering rapidly before he finally spoke.
"N-no... It died today, and I couldn’t get another before Chris and I left... I brought my cigs though. Want one?"
He reached into his pocket, fetching the pack of Marlboro Reds and holding them out. She eyed the small box before plucking one from the pack and settling down in the chair next to him.
"Got a light?"
She leaned in, watching the flame dance in front of her as he lit the cigarette. She inhaled the smoke before blowing it out, mumbling a small "thanks" before gazing out toward the water.
"So..." Matt started, his mind trying to find the right words to say. She said nothing, simply smoking the cigarette and continuing to stare out toward the lake.
"You weren't at the last few parties."
"Correct."
"Why?"
She finally turned toward him, eyeing him up and down before responding. "The real question is, why were you at the parties? Last time I checked, you didn’t like them."
He went to answer but closed his mouth. How was he supposed to say, "Oh, I was only going because I believe I have a crush on you, even though we barely know each other," without sounding like an absolute freak?
She chuckled to herself, a small smile making its way across her face as she looked back at the lake. However, as quickly as the smile graced her face, it fell.
"You want to know the truth?"
She took another hit of the nicotine before answering her own question.
"The truth is... I hate parties. Most people see them as a fun group activity. At one point, I did too. But now... now it’s just a taunt, a painful reminder... I meant it when I said I see you."
A thick silence sat between them, the background noise turning into muffled static.
She looked down, feeling Matt's hand settle on top of her own, their eyes soon meeting.
"I see you too..."
He wasn’t lying, and she knew that.
Their moment was interrupted by shouting. "Ten minutes until countdown!" Everyone began to shout in joy, the noise only getting louder. The girl ashed the cigarette before standing up from her seat, looking down at him.
"You cold, Blue?"
He nodded, and she motioned for him to stand up. "Come on, let’s go."
He was curious as to where she wanted to take him, but he wasn’t complaining. He stood up, and his eyes widened as soon as his body began to tilt, the alcohol in his system hitting him all at once.
She caught him immediately, her hands finding their way to his shoulders as she steadied him. "Whoa, looks like someone had too much to drink." Despite the pounding headache he had, he chuckled at her words.
"Definitely too drunk to drive tonight. Come on, let’s get you somewhere so you can sober up."
Everyone paid them no mind as they walked toward the house, too distracted by their own actions to even care. They stepped inside, and she guided Matt up the stairs, down a hallway, and eventually into her room.
She helped him onto her bed, the boy kicking off his shoes and immediately slumping over into her pillows. She said nothing as she walked over toward her record player in the corner, flipping through her vinyls before finally settling on one. Just as she put it on the turntable, she heard Matt's voice.
"Will your boyfriend be mad?"
"Boyfriend? What boyfriend? And if I did have one, why would he be mad?"
She sat crisscrossed in the middle of the bed, her knee pressing into his hip. "The guy who grabbed you from the bathroom? Thought that was your boyfriend."
She laughed loudly at his explanation. "Kyle? Oh god, no, that’s just my best friend. I’d rather go see JoJo Siwa in concert than date him."
Matt's breath hitches as the girl lays down next to him, their shoulders touching.
Maybe it was the alcohol in his system, his mouth moving before his mind could stop him.
"Good."
"What's good?"
She turns her head to look at him, their eyes meeting once again.
"That you don't have a boyfriend..."
Their eye contact remains strong as their fingers hesitantly intertwine, the tension in the room growing with each breath. Just as Matt's eyes dart toward her lips, she abruptly sits up, her hand yanking away from his as she goes back into the corner, flipping through her vinyls once more.
Matt pushes himself up, his mind racing as he tries to figure out how to make his move.
She places a new vinyl on the turntable, adjusting the needle on the record before walking back over to the bed. The familiar tune of Fall Out Boy's "The Kids Aren't Alright" fills the space of the room, the faint start of the New Year's countdown being heard from outside.
"I like this song..." she says softly, taking Matt's hand and fiddling with his rings. He moves closer, their shoulders knocking into each other.
10
"Do you want to kiss me?" she asks suddenly, her eyes lingering on his lips as she looks at him.
9
He could feel the way his heart skipped a beat at her words, his fingers twitching in her grasp as he looked down at her own plump lips.
8
"Y-yeah."
7
"Y-yeah, I want to kiss you."
6
"Good..."
5
"Good," Matt adds on.
4
Silence.
3
"As the crooked smiles fade, former heroes who quit too late..."
2
"Who just wanna fill up the empty trophy case again."
1
"And in the end—"
Just as the countdown finishes and the chorus starts, their lips crash together, the fireworks shooting off behind them. The kiss was filled with longing, the two lonely souls seeking comfort in each other, craving something more.
They slowly pull away from the kiss, Matt’s hand cupping her face.
"Why'd you ask to kiss me?" he questions softly.
"Are you complaining?"
"Opposite, actually."
She kisses him once more, a quick but lingering peck.
"It's a foolish reason... I'm afraid I just wanted to."

Montana
The old, familiar smell of Montana—pine trees and fresh air—mingles with the dust of the small airport parking lot. Your heavy and unwieldy suitcase pulls at your shoulder as you trudge toward the terminal doors. Your stomach growls loudly, betraying your irritation. Where is he? You glance at your phone, but there are no texts.
Rolling your eyes, you mutter under your breath, “Where the hell is he?” Your voice is tight, a mix of frustration from travel, hunger, and something deeper—an unease about what’s ahead. Montana was never a bad place, but leaving New York had been… complicated.
A voice calls your name, and you lift your gaze to see him stepping out of the truck.
The sound of a truck engine rumbles in the distance, and your eyes snap to it. Relief floods you for a moment, but it quickly sharpens into something else as the truck pulls to a stop in front of you. He’s finally here. But, of course, he doesn’t seem rushed. He flashes you a half-smile, like he’s entirely unbothered, and you feel the urge to roll your eyes again.
"Sorry," he calls from the truck, his voice still casual. "Got caught up with some things around here." He leans back against the side of the truck, looking at you in a way that suddenly makes you feel a little off-kilter. It’s Joel, for crying out loud—your dad’s friend, someone you’ve known for years. But there’s something about him now, something different.
"It’s okay, just don’t do that again, okay? I waited so long," you say, your voice carrying a hint of frustration, but with a playful undertone.
He grins, leaning against the truck. "Oh, please, it was only a few minutes, Miss New York. Have you forgotten what it’s like here?" His tone is teasing, but there’s a soft warmth to it that catches you off guard.
His smile is the same, his voice the same, yet there's an intensity in his eyes you’ve never noticed before. A teasing glint, sure, but also something more—a quiet pull that makes your stomach flip. You never saw him like this before.
As he drives, you can’t help but steal glances at him from the corner of your eye. You’ve always known Joel—your dad’s friend, the guy who always had a joke ready or was fixing something around the house. But something’s different today. You notice the way the light hits his profile as he concentrates on the road, the way his jaw tightens when he makes a turn, and the easy confidence in the way he moves.
“So, how’s New York treating you lately?” he asks, his gaze flicking to her briefly before returning to the road.
“It’s been good. Work has been killing me, for sure, but there’s something about it I like as well,” you say, leaning back against the seat. “The people I’ve met so far are nice—we go out often. The city is lovely, very loud, but it doesn’t take away from its charm.”
Joel huffs a quiet laugh, shaking his head. “New York is lovely? Never heard anyone say that before.”
You roll your eyes but can’t help the smile tugging at your lips. “It is if you know where to look. It has this… energy, you know? Everything is moving all the time, and I kinda like that.”
“Sounds exhausting.”
“Sometimes,” you admit, glancing out the window. “But it makes you feel alive.”
Joel hums in response, tapping his fingers against the steering wheel. “And yet, here you are. Back in Montana.”
You go quiet for a moment, exhaling softly. “Yeah, well, I guess one can get a little homesick after all. Plus, I had to be here for my dad.”
Joel chuckles, a low, knowing sound, and glances at you. “Yeah, I get that.” Without thinking, he reaches out, his hand landing on your shoulder in a brief but solid squeeze—comforting, familiar. His touch is warm, and steady, and for some reason, it lingers in your mind even after he pulls away.
The truck falls into a quiet lull, only the hum of the tires against the road filling the space between you two. It’s not awkward, but it feels… different. Why does it feel different?
Just as you’re about to get lost in your thoughts, your stomach lets out a loud, unmistakable growl.
Joel smirks, side-eyeing you. “Hungry much?”
You groan, covering your face with your hands. “Oh my god, that was so loud.”
“Loud enough to scare off the wildlife,” he teases. “Guess that answers where we’re going next.”
That makes you laugh too, shaking your head. “Shut up.”
He smirks, eyes still crinkled with amusement. “Guess that answers where we’re going next.”
You peek at him between your fingers. “Let me guess… the diner?”
Joel grins. “Best damn burger and fries in town.”
You sigh dramatically but can’t stop the smile from tugging at your lips. “Fine. But you’re paying.”
Joel chuckles. “Don’t worry, it’s on me”
By the time you reach the diner, your thoughts are tangled. You don’t know why you’re suddenly noticing him differently, but it’s all you can think about.
You slide into a booth, the hum of conversation around you two. As you both settle into your seats, you clear your throat, unsure how to bring it up.
“So,” you start, trying to sound casual but unable to keep the edge from your voice, “When did you turn into this?” You gesture vaguely, not sure how to articulate the thought. “It’s like I’m seeing you for the first time or something.”
Joel raises an eyebrow, clearly amused. “What are you talking about?”
You take a breath, trying to gather your thoughts. “I don’t know, just... you. You're different. I don’t know if I’m just imagining it, but you look different.”
His smile fades a little, but there’s a glimmer of something behind his eyes. “I’m the same. Maybe you’re just seeing things.” He looks at you, his voice quieter now. “Maybe you’re different.” He looks back at the menu like he didn’t just shake something loose inside you.
Your pulse quickens at his words. You weren’t expecting that response. It hangs between you, heavier than the usual banter, and suddenly, you’re not so sure how to navigate this space between the two of you anymore.
The silence stretches out just long enough for it to feel a little too much, and you, ever the quick thinker, decide to break it. You clear your throat, leaning in a little with a playful smile.
“Hey, did I tell you what happened at the airport?” you ask, your voice light but eager to shift the energy.
Joel looks over at you, eyebrows raised, clearly intrigued. “No, what happened?”
You smirk, your eyes lighting up as you launch into the story. “They took my bagel. Like, actually took it.”
Joel laughs, clearly amused, shaking his head. “So that explains why you're starving, huh?”
You nod, your face scrunching with playful frustration. “You have no idea. I was ready to fight for it, but I just didn’t have the energy after the whole ordeal.”
You are mid-sentence when the waiter stops by, setting down your food with a polite nod. You barely notice, too caught up in the story you’re telling, hands gesturing slightly as you speak.
“So there I am, at JFK, running on zero sleep and way too much airport coffee, and I swear, the TSA guy looks at my bag like it’s personally offended him. He pulls me aside, right? Starts digging through my stuff like I’m smuggling national secrets, and then—” You pause for dramatic effect, a smirk tugging at your lips. “He pulls out a single, perfectly wrapped bagel. Just one. Like it’s contraband.”
Joel huffs a quiet laugh, watching you. Not just listening—watching. The way you lean in slightly, how your eyes light up when you’re caught in the middle of a story, how you always talk with your hands just a little.
“What did he do?” he asks, voice low but amused.
You grin. “Looks me dead in the eye and says, ‘Ma’am, I’m gonna need you to explain this.’ Like I’m running some underground bagel operation.”
Joel shakes his head, chuckling. “And what did you say?”
“I panicked! I just went, ‘Sir, it’s a bagel. I swear I’m not dangerous.’” You lean back with a laugh, shaking your head. “I think he was just bored, honestly. But for a second, I thought I was gonna end up on a no-fly list over a poppy seed bagel.”
Joel watches you as your laughter lingers, your shoulders still shaking slightly. There’s something different about you—he’s sure of it now. Not just the way you carry yourself, but the way you fill the space around you, like you belong in it. It’s new.
Joel, though—he’s still looking at you. The story’s over, but his gaze lingers like he’s turning something over in his mind. Finally, he says, “You always talk like that?”
You raise a brow. “Like what?”
His mouth quirks, but there’s something thoughtful in the way he watches you. “Like you belong wherever you are.”
The words catch you off guard. There’s no teasing in his voice, no hint of the usual back-and-forth. Just a quiet observation.
Your heart skips, pulse-quickening as you force a smirk. “Montana air,” you say lightly. “Does wonders.”
Joel doesn’t press, just lets out a small hum, but there’s a weight to his silence now. Something that lingers.
Neither of you moves to shake it off.
You finish your meal in silence, the kind of quiet that’s not uncomfortable but feels different—charged, maybe, or just heavier than usual. You keep your focus on your plate, unsure of what to say or do next.
After a few moments, you stretch your legs out under the table, not thinking much of it, until you accidentally brush your foot against Joel’s. Neither of you pulls away immediately. The brief contact makes your stomach twist, and you’re suddenly aware of how close you are, how you can feel the warmth of his presence even through the table.
You glance up quickly, your face flushing slightly as you pretend it didn’t happen. “Oops, sorry about that.”
Joel’s lips curl into a small, teasing smile. “Don’t worry about it.” His voice is steady, but his eyes linger on you a moment longer than usual. The tension between you feels different now, thicker, and you feel a shift in the air, one that makes you unsure of how to move forward.
Finally, breaking the silence, Joel shifts in his seat and looks at you with a more casual tone. “Ready to get going?” He gives you a teasing glance. “Let’s get the bill. Your dad must be wondering what took so long.”
You force a laugh, grateful for the change in pace. “Yeah, he probably thinks we’re getting into trouble or something.” You reach for your purse, trying to shake off the moment’s weight.
Joel pulls into the driveway, the sound of the gravel crunching under the tires as he stops. He glances at you, his gaze lingering for a moment longer than necessary.
“I’ll let you settle in, and spend some time with your dad. Bet he missed you,” Joel says, turning off the engine.
You grab your suitcase, struggling to pull it out of the trunk, the weight of it catching you off guard.
Joel raises an eyebrow, still seated in the car. “Need some help with that?”
You shake your head, forcing a smile as you maneuver the suitcase out of the trunk. “No, that’s okay. I got it.”
As you manage to free it, you turn back to him. “Thanks, Joel. For the drive. And the food. Good actions, all around.”
Joel chuckles, the sound low and warm. “You’re welcome. doll”
The word catches you off guard, a flicker of surprise tightening your chest. You don’t expect that nickname from him—rough and practical as he is—but there’s no time to linger on it. You shake it off quickly, masking whatever it stirs with a small nod before stepping out of the car.
The night air is cool against your skin as you start toward the front door, your pulse still a little quicker than usual.
Joel stays in the car a moment longer, his gaze lingering on you. He tells himself it’s just for security—making sure you get inside safely—but somehow, it feels like more than that. He watches you until the front door opens and your dad steps outside, arms outstretched.
“There she is!” Your dad grins, enveloping you in a hug. “Welcome home!”
You laugh and hug him back. “I missed you, too, Dad.”
Joel leans back in his seat and clears his throat, a brief, awkward moment hanging between him and your family. “Take care you two,” he calls out with a quick wave, as he shifts the car into gear.
Your dad waves back, calling out to him. “Thanks again, Joel! Really appreciate the help.”
Joel gives a small grin, rolling his eyes playfully. Your dad laughs as he steps back into the house, and Joel pulls away, disappearing down the street.
You watch him leave, feeling a strange mix of emotions you can't quite place before heading inside with your dad.

You look like a bad idea... 1/? WIP
Explicit Hangster - based on this idea here. Bradley is not a naval aviator. Canon deaths (it starts at Ice's funeral). Addiction and alcoholism (and recovery) mentions.
PART ONE
Jake watches the proceedings with a sense of polite disinterest. He didn’t know Admiral Kazansky personally, is here because it’s expected of him. He’d rather be flying, training, suspects he’s not the only one. They’re on a time crunch. However, he also knows that without Maverick there to push them that extra little bit then there likely not much point. So here they all are.
The only thing that’s breaking up the boredom is watching the… son? of Admiral Kazansky. He’s an attractive man, looks at ease in his finely tailored suit and Jake wonders what his story is. He’s listed under children of Admiral Kazansky, but doesn’t have the same last name; then again neither did either of the daughters. Blended family is what Jake would put money on. A first marriage or child out of wedlock wasn’t mentioned in the eulogy at all, but he supposes that probably would have been bad taste.
So Jake is enjoying watching him. He’s interesting to watch, accepting condolences from the brass and other funeral attendees. He seems to know most people here and again Jake wonders what his story is. Then the guy’s eyes fall on Phoenix and they light-up, a brief moment of sunshine in his otherwise sombre expression and Jake supposes it is his dad’s funeral.
However, making a play for someone seems a little… crass. And if Trace is his type, then Jake definitely isn’t going to make a play. But holy shit. Trace is smiling back. Putting her plate down and just… He always knew Trace had balls, but watching her now, sauntering over to the guy like she… oh. Going in for a hug. Which he’s returning.
Right.
Okay then.
So they clearly know each other, heads bent toward each other and talking quietly, now equally sad expressions on their faces. Then Trace is hugging Admiral Kazansky’s wife even harder. Rather than answering any of his questions it throws up a dozen more. The guy, Bradley, catches him watching and Jake simply nods his head in acknowledgement, not sure what else he can do. He lets his eyes slip away, makes small talk with some of the other squadron members, passes his condolences on to Maverick who grips him in a tight hug.
Weird.
Maverick gives each of the other Dagger Squadron members the same treatment and he’s not sure if that makes it more or less weird. Regardless, Trace is rejoining them, and Maverick has a few more words to say to her and they’re too quiet for Jake to hear, but she’s nodding and he’s even more intrigued now, and she accepts the hug from Maverick with more grace than the rest of them.
“Phoenix…”
“Hangman…”
“You know the family?”
The way her lips twist tells him she definitely does and is trying to figure out what to share with him. Jake waits, knows people love to fill silences and spill their secrets.
“Sarah is my aunt. My mother’s sister.”
“So… Admiral Kazansky was your uncle.”
“Yes.”
“I’m sorry for your loss…”
She looks surprised at his words and Jake keeps his expression carefully blank, because do people really think he’s that much of an asshole he’d make light of someone dying? Or not care? Maybe he needs to dial down his attitude just a little. At least with the people he likes. Or can tolerate. He’s never been one to suffer fools, but hell, this is getting dire.
“Thanks… he was…”
“Sick. Yeah. Doesn’t make it any easier. All it does is give you time to say goodbye…” Jake says, and his jaw tenses, hopes like hell she doesn’t start asking if he’s got experience. Doesn’t want to ever answer those types of questions. “What’s his story? Your cousin, right? Bradley?”
She glances to where he’s looking, where Bradley is standing talking to yet another Admiral, looking perfectly at ease. Jake supposes he probably grew up around them.
“Don’t even think about it. He’s… I love him. But he’s a fucking mess in everything but his professional life. Just… stay away if you know what’s good for you.”
Hmm.
Hell.
It’s like she doesn’t know him at all.

✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨
“Can we talk about it?”
“Ella please, act like an adult.”
You rolled your eyes after reading your mom’s messages. Yesterday she called you on facetime to show you the big diamond on her finger, throwing the news of being engaged at you.
Your parents divorced when you were 4 and it has been a wild ride since then.
You stayed living with your mum, seeing your dad only a few times a month. You’d think that something like this would make your and your mom's relationship stronger, but it was the opposite.
She started dating different guys, but no one was serious enough for her to bring him home for good. She introduced you to some of them, but you never liked any of the men that walked through the door of your home. And you didn’t hide your dislike.
You never crossed a line with doing something rebellious, but you always made sure that they knew you’re not a fan of them with the way you talked to them or about them behind their backs.
Your mom always put up with it, but it brought lots of fights between you two. She never blamed you for her failed relationships, because they weren’t meant to last. Until she met him, Richard.
Richard was a few years older than her, with no kids and with a nice house. Moving to his place wasn’t a question, she just told you to pack your stuff. “You’re my child, you’re gonna follow me wherever I go. I don’t care that you don’t want to.” will probably replay in your head until the day you die.
Sadly for you you were still underage and with no other place to go, so you moved to his place and that’s where the hell started.
Heated arguments with your mom every day, silent treatments from both of you and cold shoulder for Richard. Poor guy didn’t stand a chance, you dismissed him at the very beginning.
You hated the house and you cried yourself to sleep every other night.
He turned out to be a narcissistic and arrogant guy which you couldn’t stand. You were counting the days until it was time for you to move away for college. The best thing that ever happened to you.
Seeing your mom and Richard less was a good thing for keeping the family relationships at least somehow working. After a few months of not seeing them you finally found the courage to come back for a weekend and somehow you three acted like the hell before you left never happened.
You got along with Richard for a few hours and then left their place again. It wasn’t home for you, it was just their place. And since then you visit them occasionally.
You got used to their relationship and swallowed all your opinions for your mother’s sake and happiness.
That was until yesterday though.
You didn’t know what reaction from you she expected, but it probably wasn’t “Are you fucking serious?” and hanging up on her. Since then you didn’t pick up any of her calls nor replied to any of her messages.
“Ella please, just a few minutes so we can talk about it.”
You read the next message and rolled your eyes again. You finished the drink in your hand before standing up and going outside.
Little did you know Noah was watching you look at your phone every other minute, rolling your eyes and making sad faces. He could tell something was wrong so he wasn’t surprised to see you storm out of the crowded living room.
He wanted to give you a few minutes and see if you come back, if not, he knows where to find you.
In the beginning of your friendship with benefits you two sometimes sneaked away from your friends and met in the backyard in a small place that was separated from the rest of the big garden by bushes. There was an old swing, too small for both of you, but it provided you lots of fun. Also the almost broken fence where Noah pinned you many times just to steal kisses from you was there. It became “your place” any time you two couldn’t find each other and texted the other “our place?” and time, you both were there.
Your place was exactly where you ran off. The drink you just finished gave you enough courage to face your mom’s voice over the phone and tell her your opinion.
She picked up almost immediately and started talking, but you cut her off.
“Finally darling, ca-”
“No mom, you let me talk now.” you started, taking a deep breath before letting it all out. “I’ve been silent for the past few years, but I can’t let you marry him without telling you my honest opinion.”
You kicked a few rocks that were laying around and walked back and forth, a habit of yours when you were too nervous.
“I don’t think he’s good for you. I don’t think he’s enough for you. You were always a strong independent woman who knew her worth, I never thought I'd see you running around a man like you do now. You always laughed at women who served food under their man’s nose or had to pack a bag for them. But now that’s you mom.” you stopped talking, expecting some protest from her, but there was just silence at the other side of the line.
“You do everything he says, you’re like his maid mom. That hurts me to see. You should find a man who’s gonna carry you in his arms and worship the ground you walk on, not someone who tells you he won’t eat the food you made because it tastes weird, but also refuses to cook his own meal. He’s a child mom.” you threw your hands up and down in a frustrating gesture.
She finally spoke and you could hear the hurt in her voice. “That’s not true Ella.”
“You know it is, you just don’t want it to be.”
“Listen, I know you don’t agree with my relationship, but you need to respect it. I’m finally happy.”
“I don’t think you really are.” you whispered back and couldn’t stop the tears running down your cheeks. Of course you want your mum to be happy, but if this is how happiness looks like, you hope you’ll never find it.
“I didn’t ask for your opinion. I just wanted to tell you that we will be sending invites next week and I’d really appreciate it if you’d come to the wedding.” there was a short break before she added “Please.”
She rarely used “please”, “thank you” or “I’m sorry” with you, so you knew how hard it must’ve been for her to say those words out loud.
“I have to think about it.” you told her the truth. You didn’t want to make any promises in case you’d decide to not attend in the end.
“You’re hurting me Ella.” there she was, back at attacking you for your feelings.
“Bye mom.” and before she could say anything else you pressed the red button and silenced her voice that could only say more hurtful things.
Your eyes stayed on the ground, colors of the grass and dirt mixing together as your tears formed in your eyes, one blink of your eyelids sending them down your cheeks.
You were hurting too. You were hurt, sad and angry. The anger took over your body and before you could think of what you were doing, you threw your phone away and only heard a loud bang when it landed somewhere in the dark in front of you.
When Noah thought you were gone for too long he decided to go after you. He found you with your back facing him, your hands by your sides, but you weren’t talking or moving, you were just standing there.
“Did something possess you?” he joked. He expected a silly comment back or you saying “shut up”, but you stayed silent.
The tears kept running down your cheeks, because you suddenly felt so small. You felt betrayed by your mother and you felt like you were standing in your childhood room listening to her “I don’t care what you want” speech all over again. You just wanted to cry.
You heard Noah's question, but what possessed you was just a pure sadness that was making it impossible for you to move or speak.
Noah made a few steps to be closer to you and reached for your hand, but before he could do that you finally spoke up.
“Can I have your phone?” even with your back still facing now very confused Noah, he could hear the tremble in your voice.
“What?”
“Your phone.” you turned around to face him. When you did, his confused face turned into something softer. He saw your wet cheeks and the small shakes of your chin. “I threw mine somewhere in the bushes and I need to find it.” you said it like it was the most obvious thing and waited for Noah to give you his phone.
He didn’t ask any questions and just handed you his phone, turning the flashlight on for you.
You turned around and went in the direction of where you thought your phone could be. Noah just stood there in silence, his eyes following your every move.
Well, now you really looked like something possessed you. Your hands were snapping the twigs that came your way, some of them got stuck in your hair while you tried to find your phone.
With no luck finding it, you got out of the bush and dived straight into another one.
“For fucks sake.” Noah couldn’t keep watching this shit show in front of him and yanked you out of the bush, took his phone from your trembling hand and started looking for your phone himself.
You cleaned yourself from the mess and leaves that were stuck to your clothes and hair. The need to escape this loud place made your body shake. You were thinking about telling Noah to stop and come for the phone tomorrow or even buy a new phone with a new number so your mum couldn’t call you again.
“Here.” Noah’s voice took you out of the trance you were in, looking at you with a proud smirk and leaves in his hair, but he had your black phone in his hand. And it looked like you didn’t break it when you threw it away.
“Thank you.” you took it out of his hand and put it in your pocket.
Noah, scared of what you’re going to do next, stood in silence and waited for your next move. But you just kept looking around, avoiding his face. You for sure didn’t make it easy for him.
“Do you want a hug?” he asked you, unsure look on his face.
“What?”
“Isn’t that what people want when they're sad?” just as he finished his question your hands were wrapped around his torso.
You didn’t want him to see you cry again, so you just hid your face in his sweatshirt. You tried to hold your sobs and cries in, but you felt like you’re going to explode, so you let everything out.
Noah didn’t know what else to do than just rub your back and gently sway you from side to side.
After a few minutes your breath calmed down and you stepped out of Noah’s arms, cringing at the wet spot on his grey sweatshirt.
“Sorry for that.” you whispered and pointed to the place that was covered in your tears.
Noah just looked down and laughed. “It’s okay. Come on, let's take you home.”
He took your hand in his, but you realized how crazy you must look after this meltdown, so you stopped in your tracks, making Noah stop too.
“I can’t go there. I look crazy.” you panicked.
“Yeah you do, but everyone is drunk at this point, they won’t notice.”
“No, Molly and Clara will and I don’t want to explain it to them.”
Noah just sighed and looked around, rubbing his jaw with his palm and thinking of ways to leave the fraternity without anyone seeing you.
“We can jump the fence.” he proposed.
“Are you out of your mind?” you looked at the tall metallic fence around you.
“It’s either that or the main door.”
“It’s impossible for me to jump over it Noah.”
“I’m gonna help you.”
You looked at the fence, then at Noah and then back at the fence.
He’s tall and strong and falling on your ass in front of him was better than doing the walk of shame.
“Okay.”
He led you in the direction of the fence. “Okay, so, you’re gonna put your feet in my hands and I’m gonna push you up. Then you have to carefully move over the top and jump down, okay?”
“How are you gonna do it?” you asked him, because there's no way you're going to help him from the other side.
“Haven’t thought of that yet.”
“God, don’t laugh at me if I fall.” you made him promise before he leaned forward and intertwined his hands low enough for you to step into them.
“Grab my shoulders. I’m gonna count to three and then push you up okay?”
“Okay.” when he started counting you were sure that neither of you knew what you were doing.
You felt yourself being lifted from the ground, reaching for the top of the fence and swung your leg over it, then the other one.
“Jump!” Noah yelled at you, because he was scared you’re going to fall back at him.
You closed your eyes and jumped, landing perfectly on your feet.
“I did it!” you turned around to see Noah through the metallic barricade between you, laughing at the situation.
It was Noah’s turn to jump over the fence and after a few failed attempts you had to hold in a laugh and said “You know you can walk through the inside and meet me in the parking lot?”
Before Noah gave you an answer, he was happy to hear you wanted to leave with him. He was scared you’re going to push him away and won’t let him comfort you like you did to him many times.
“Can’t let you have all the fun.” he snorted, laughing at himself after another failed attempt.
After he finally managed to climb to the top of the fence, one of his legs betrayed him and he fell down on his ass in front of you.
You gasped, not knowing if he was okay, but then you started laughing. He looked up at you, shame all over his face, but he couldn’t help laughing too.
“You know, I did that just to make you laugh. It was intentional.” he shrugged his shoulders after he stood up and used his hands to get rid of the dirt from his clothes.
“Smooth Sebastian, real smooth.” you laughed, but appreciated his attempts to lift your mood.
—
Noah paid for the cab to his place even though you insisted that after everything he’d done for you it was your turn to pay.
He sent you in the direction of his bathroom after he found a few leaves in your hair in the elevator and ordered some food while you washed the dirt of that night of your body.
“Do you want to talk about it?” Noah asked after he swallowed his food, looking at you at the other side of his sofa.
“Not really. Long story short, my mum is engaged to her ass boyfriend, we had a fight over the phone and I’m probably gonna have to buy a new dress for their wedding.”
“I’m sorry.” he didn’t know what else to say. Your mood was better now, no more tears and throwing things around, so he thought he did a good job.
He wasn’t good at those things, taking care of people, so he was proud of himself for returning the care you gave him many times before.
“Don’t be, shit happens. I just need time to process it.” you put away the take out box. “And maybe some cuddles would be nice.” you made your puppy eyes at him.
“Ugh, women.” he acted annoyed, but you didn’t miss the smile on his face when he lifted the blanket on his lap so you could lay down on his chest.
He put on his favorite show and you two watched in silence.
You were happy he found you in the garden. You loved your friends, but they wouldn’t give you the comfort you needed.
You realized that you want comfort from Noah just as much as you want to comfort him when he’s feeling unwell.
His fingers played with your hair and his eyes were focused on the TV. You laid on his chest, playing with the fabric of his t-shirt and thought about the upcoming wedding.
As if Noah could read your mind he suddenly said “You know, I could be your plus one at the wedding if you decide to go.” his gaze stayed on the TV.
“Shut up, you mean it?” because if you’re going to go, in a place so uncomfortable and full of people you haven’t seen in years, you’d appreciate someone by your side.
Do you want part two?

summary: With Lyla moving over to produce films at Redwoody for the Sons, Nero finds himself in need of someone to run the front of Diosa and to help with the administrative aspect. When a few of the girls recommend you–a blunt, vulgar street girl from Stockton trapped working for a heartless pimp by the name of Hades–Nero can't resist hiring you without consulting Jax first. Though Hades isn't willing to let his Persephone–the prized thoroughbred of his whores–just slip through his grasp. But after Jax meets you, not only is he determined to keep you safe, he’s hell-bent on giving you everything you've never had before.
a/n: I couldn't resist writing this fic, the first handful of chapters are already outlined. I personally loved the chemistry he had with Winsome in S7, so she became my inspiration for this Reader. Feedback and reblogs are always appreciated!

With an elbow propped up against the bar inside Diosa Norte, Jax raised the cold beer to his lips before taking a deep pull from it as he listened to Nero. For the past fifteen minutes, he’d been running over this previous month's profit margins and the projected income for the coming month, but truthfully Jax was only half-listening to the numbers Nero was rattling off at this point after he'd heard the Sons’ share of the profit. Because how the hell did Nero expect him to just sit here and focus on a goddamn thing with all the girls walking around eyeing him while they cleaned Diosa and prepared to open for the evening?
Jax sat relaxed at the bar, his legs casually stretched out in front of himself and crossed at the ankles, his eyes darting from the papers Nero was running a finger over to a woman who was bent in half wiping down a table across the main room. He could see straight down the front of her shirt as she cleaned and it was taking all of his willpower to keep switching his attention back to Nero. But as a blonde strode past him and sent a suggestive wink in his direction, Jax found his eyes following her across the foyer next, a lazy grin spreading over his lips as his attention lingered on her ass in those tight jeans. Head tilting to the side, he admired the view with a quiet, appreciative hum.
“Suppose you're not that invested in the business side of things today,” Nero commented, lowering the papers in his hands to the bar counter.
Jax’s gaze shifted back over to Nero, his lazy grin growing a bit wider at having been caught staring at the girls instead of focusing on business. He shrugged a shoulder in response before gesturing his beer bottle around the room.
“C'mon man, we're surrounded by pretty women,” he pointed out. “You think I can focus that closely on math right now?”
Nero shook his head at Jax, but the faint smile tugging at his lips betrayed his lack of genuine irritation. “Shoulda figured as much, ese,” he replied. “Next time I won’t schedule our business meetings to coincide with a full house so you don’t get distracted from what’s actually important.”
A low chuckle rumbled out of Jax, his grin still plastered across his lips. “Maybe you should, old man,” he teased back. “Should know by now how easily distracted I am by a pretty face.” His gaze swept around the room again, the corner of his lips still curled upwards. “Especially when there are so many of them.”
Nero gathered up the papers on the bar, stacking them together as Jax’s gaze continued to wander around the room as he watched the women cleaning and running back and forth with laundry from the bedrooms in the back. Beside him, the faint smile gradually fell from Nero’s mouth, his lips thinning out into a straight line as he gathered up the paperwork. As a brief quiet settled between the pair of men, the growing silence and the contemplative look on Nero’s face eventually caught Jax’s attention.
“Something else we need to discuss this afternoon?” Jax questioned, drawing the beer up to his lips again. “You look tense.”
Nero let out a deep sigh, his hands taking far too much care to straighten the stack of papers that held his focus. “Well, there was one other thing I needed to discuss with you today,” he admitted, sounding reluctant. “Kinda time sensitive with Lyla switching over to produce at Redwoody, too. We both know she can’t keep helping me out ‘round here, so I need someone to replace her. Someone that can handle the administrative side but also run the front of house when we're open. Someone we can trust to keep quiet about what's goin' on here, which means I can't exactly just…put up a help wanted sign in the window.”
Sensing the serious switch in topic, Jax straightened up in his chair and leaned forward, his forearms resting on the bar counter as his brows knitted faintly together. He jutted his chin at Nero, his grin no longer present. “What’d you need to discuss then? Hiring a girl to replace her?”
One of Nero’s hands ran across his mouth in hesitation, his focus still on the papers in his hand. Jax instantly caught the way he was stalling, his eyes narrowing marginally in the continued silence. Teeth beginning to gnaw at his bottom lip, Jax had a gut feeling that Nero was holding something back from him. There was something he wasn’t saying.
“Already found a girl, actually,” Nero began slowly, his attention finally shifting from the papers in his hand back to Jax. “She…was sort of brought to my attention by some of the other girls working here when I said I was lookin’ for someone.”
“What’s that supposed to mean?” Jax asked, still cautiously eyeing Nero. “Brought to your attention by the other girls why? Cause she’s got experience running something like this?”
“No, that’s not why, ese. Let’s just say she’s from a difficult situation, alright?” Nero explained carefully to Jax. “This girl…she needed a safer environment. But she might also need a little…extra protection in return. You feel me?”
Jax’s head tilted a little to the side, one of his blonde brows raising up onto his forehead. “No, not exactly,” he answered. “Sounds more like you’re bringing in someone who’s gonna cause trouble for me and my guys. Extra work which requires time I don’t have. That what you’re getting at?”
Nero’s head shifted back and forth as he made a face, clearly trying to downplay the situation. Jax only straightened up further in his chair as he felt his irritation beginning to grow. He had enough to deal with as the Sons president right now while trying to get these new business ventures set up. He didn’t need extra work being thrown his way–another goddamn task to delegate or another problem to solve.
“Eh, I mean, maybe a little bit more work,” Nero admitted carefully. “Just at first.”
Jax’s face fell, a scowl spreading across his features. “Spit it out, Nero,” he snapped. “Who the hell do you wanna hire and why the hell is she gonna be a pain in my fucking ass?”
Nero raised both of his hands in a placating gesture at the obvious edge in Jax’s tone before he shifted in his chair further towards him. The severe expression didn’t disappear from Jax’s face as he waited impatiently for Nero to continue, his mouth set in a hard line and his shoulders squared and tensed.
“She’s a working girl from the streets,” Nero told him. “From what the girls here were telling me, she’s been trapped in a situation with this piece of shit pimp out in Stockton for years. Years, Jax,” He shot Jax a pointed look before he continued. “She’s wanted outta that life but she never had the chance and he’s never let her leave–”
“What the hell do you mean she hasn’t been able to get out?” he asked, cutting him off as he leaned closer to Nero along the bar, his brows drawing together in confusion. “You mean to tell me there's some scumbag pimp out in Stockton that wouldn’t let this girl leave? Kept forcing her to work for him?”
Nero nodded firmly at the question, the look on his face grim. “Yeah, ese,” he replied. “That’s exactly what I mean. Calls her his prized thoroughbred according to a few of the girls here that know her. She’s wanted outta that life for years but never had an opportunity. Never had some place to go.”
Jax’s hand gripped the neck of the beer bottle tight in his fist, his eyes dropping to the dark glass. What disgusting motherfucker forced a woman to keep selling her body against her will? For years? That thought alone had him wanting to get on his bike and go find this prick just to crush the dipshit’s skull in himself with his bare hands.
“The fuck is his name?” The question came out of Jax like a snarl, his eyes still fixed on the beer in his hand. He wished it was the guy’s neck he was squeezing instead of the glass bottle. “The piece of shit forcing a woman to keep selling herself against her will. The fuck is his name?”
“I’ve heard of him before, he’s been in the game for a bit,” Nero told him, cautiously eyeing the anger on Jax’s face. “Goes by Hades on the street. Thinks it makes him seem terrifying and untouchable.” Nero paused to roll his eyes at the notion before he continued. “He’s a jackass, though. Treats his girls like shit. Doesn’t protect them from clients, beats them himself if they piss him off, takes most of their money and leaves them with scraps. I mean, this poor chica has been living on the streets for awhile now, Jax.”
There was a desperation to his tone and an almost pleading look on his face as he spoke, one that Jax had never seen on Nero before. Clearly he’d been affected by this girl’s story, whatever it was. And if Jax was honest, he was already starting to feel affected by it himself considering the rage currently twisting itself around his insides.
“And I know we’re supposed to discuss business decisions and make them together as partners, but what was I supposed to do, Jax?” Nero asked him desperately. “Just turn my back on helping this girl get away from this shithead? Leave her on the streets to endure this piece of shit's abuse?”
Shaking his head at the question, Jax’s gaze returned to nearly burning a hole in the beer bottle clutched within his death grip. “No,” his dark voice replied. “You shouldn’t.”
Nero shifted in his chair beside Jax again, still a bit tense. “Good, because I hired her already,” he confessed. “Lyla was out picking her up from Stockton now. They should be back soon.”
A frustrated sigh passed between Jax’s lips as everything Nero said began to gradually settle in his mind. Nero had already hired whoever this girl was from off the streets and she was on her way to Diosa now. He’d have to circle back as to why she might require more work from the Sons, but if she was capable, then maybe he could toss a few prospects at whatever the underlying issue was just to keep Diosa running smoothly and Nero off his ass.
“She trustworthy? Can she handle running things then?” Jax asked after a moment, looking back over at Nero beside him. Jax could still feel the burn of anger in his chest at this girl’s situation, a muscle jumping in his cheek with how hard he was still clenching his jaw, but he tried to brush that away for the moment. “The math and shit that Lyla did? Pouring drinks? Charming the clients or whatever?”
Nero nodded at the questions, the papers in front of him entirely forgotten on the bar now. “Yeah, she’s a smart girl,” he told him. “Met her yesterday myself with Lyla. Bit rough around the edges, but I’m sure she can watch the language for a few hours while she’s working.” Nero chuckled, clearly recalling his encounter with you. “She can be a little, uh…crass and vulgar.”
That piqued Jax’s curiosity. Rough around the edges? Needed to watch her language? Who the hell was this girl Nero was bringing in from the streets?
“How rough around the edges are we talkin’ here?” he asked curiously. “She even gonna fit in at Diosa with all the other girls?” Jax gestured a hand at all the women still wandering around tidying up the building for the evening.
An amused grin pulled at Nero’s lips in response to his question, something almost mischievous twinkling in the man’s eye. “She may be somewhat of a feral stray, but I think she can learn to adjust to life indoors, if y’know what I mean.”
“You're describing the new girl as a feral stray?” Jax clarified, a skeptical look on his face. “You're hearing yourself, right? You want some feral stray running the front of this place? Greeting all the rich pricks looking for expensive, pretty pussy?”
Nero shrugged lightly, the amused grin still spread across his lips. “Trust me, she'll work out just fine. But what d'ya expect, man? She's a hooker from the streets of Stockton. And I mean from the streets. She was living on them. Of course she’s gonna be a little rough around the edges, ese. But she’s good, and that ain't the sorta thing she's gonna be doing here anyway–sleeping with clients.” Nero’s grin faded, a stern look of warning replacing it as he held Jax’s gaze while pointing a firm finger at his chest. “So you and your guys better not get any ideas about this one. She's strictly “off the menu” here. Alright? She doesn’t wanna do that anymore.”
“Don't think that's gonna be an issue from the way you're talking about her, Nero,” Jax told him with a shake of his head, his anger briefly forgotten at Nero’s absurd assumption that he would try to sleep with you. “A feral, stray, homeless ex-hooker with a mouth on her? Doesn't exactly scream sexy to me. Maybe Tig, but that's probably it, man. Don’t think you really gotta worry about us.”
A laugh fell out of Nero as the grin returned to his face, the amused noise once more piquing Jax’s curiosity. What the hell was so funny about that? It was as if Nero didn't believe that he wasn’t interested in you, but Jax damn well knew no girl off the street was going to make him care how “off the menu” she was. He had standards.
“Yeah, alright, Jax,” Nero replied with a light chuckle. “Just remember you said that in a minute.”
Outside of Diosa’s main room, Jax could hear the sound of car doors closing in the parking lot. Judging by Nero’s comment and the look still on his face, he guessed that was Lyla showing up with this mysterious, tragic stray of his. Admittedly, the more he learned about her, the more he was finding himself curious–but he wasn't about to confess that to Nero. Or the fact that he was wondering what exactly was about to step past those doors in a moment with the way the older man's eyes were glued to his face as if he was waiting specifically for Jax’s reaction.
Though Jax didn't have to wonder long before he heard Lyla's voice coming from just outside the large, black doors.
“–settled for a night before he was going to show you what you’d be doing–”
Seconds later, the black door swung open to reveal Lyla's familiar figure as she continued speaking to whoever was behind her. Jax didn’t catch the rest of what she’d been saying, though; he’d only just managed to nod a greeting at Lyla before you stepped inside the building. In that moment, time itself felt as if it had stopped moving as Jax's eyes instantly locked onto you.
You were not the girl he expected to see after Nero’s description.
Jax had expected someone rundown and dirty, someone who looked hard and worn from living a rough life on the streets. Maybe some girl who was missing a few front teeth and half her hair tangled or torn out. He expected someone that he’d brush off without a second glance. What he hadn’t expected was the stunning woman who’d appeared in the lobby.
You looked nothing like a homeless ex-hooker from the streets of Stockton. You looked much more like something that had walked straight out of his goddamn dreams, better than any of the women he’d ever seen hanging around the clubhouse or Diosa or even any of the other charters’ clubhouses. You were…something different entirely. Everything else in the room had completely faded to the background as his eyes ran over you and your body in those revealing clothes.
You looked like a goddamn angel that made a man want to do all sorts of sinning.
But then Jax’s eyes noticed the injuries marring your body and his expression hardened, his fist curling tight in his lap. There was blood dried around your lip, which looked split and a bit swollen–as if you'd been hit in the face recently. The timid, nervous way in which you'd glanced at Nero and sent him a hesitant smile before uncomfortably ducking your head, as if you didn't want the damage to your face to be noticed, seemed out of character from the rough around the edges woman Nero had just been describing. But that wasn't all Jax had caught when he looked at you, and apparently Nero had seen it, too.
“What happened to your arm, chica?” Nero called out, concerned.
“Hades.”
Your response had been simple and quiet, but so full of anger and malice that it made Jax’s skin crawl. The tone of your voice only added to how badly he wanted to kill the son of a bitch that had clearly bitten your arm like that. Like a fucking wild animal tearing into you. The mark looked fresh and irritated–and disturbingly deep for teeth marks. There was a sick feeling roiling inside of Jax’s gut telling him there were probably more marks like that hidden beneath your clothing. The thought caused his lip to curl back in a silent, disgusted snarl.
“I didn't have anything with me when I picked her up,” Lyla told Nero apologetically before she shot you a quick sympathetic glance. “I was going to bring her to the room she's staying in here and get her cleaned and settled for the night.”
“Yeah,” Nero agreed, nodding back at Lyla. “Yeah, take her back and let her get comfortable.” His attention shifted to you next, his tone softening noticeably. “I'll check in with you later, chica. Don't worry about a thing tonight, alright? You just relax and get settled into your room.”
Jax watched as you nodded, a tight smile briefly passing over your face before it vanished. Something unexpectedly twisted in his chest at the sight before you were following Lyla across the foyer and down the hallway that led to the various rooms in Diosa that were used for entertaining clients. His eyes lingered on you until you were out of sight, his teeth grinding together in rage at the marks on your body–the clear abuse you’d recently endured.
“That would be the new girl,” Nero said quietly, breaking the tense silence that had fallen when you’d disappeared down the hall. He gave Jax your real name before he continued. “That shithead pimp of hers called her Persephone, though. You know why?”
Jax’s fist clenched tighter in his lap when he heard the name. He vaguely recalled the Greek myth from back when he’d been in high school, well before he’d dropped out and joined the Sons. “Cause Hades trapped her in hell, right?”
Nero nodded solemnly, his lips set in a straight line. “Guessing this Hades asshole thought it was smart,” he replied grimly. “His prized whore kept trapped in the hell of his making.”
“Take it he ain’t gonna be too thrilled she left?” Jax questioned between gritted teeth, his gaze finally leaving the hallway and shifting back to Nero at the bar beside him. “That where the extra work from the Sons factors in here? Protection?”
Nero nodded again in response. “Yeah, that’s exactly it,” he answered. “This guy, Hades, he ain’t just gonna let her walk away, y’know? If he finds out she’s staying at Diosa, he’s gonna come with some of his guys and cause problems. She was his favorite girl. Told me herself he ain’t just gonna let her walk away easy.”
Jax’s hand released his death grip on the beer bottle, running his fingers over his lips as he let that sink in, the roughness of his beard scratching at the pads of his fingers. Disgust and fury grew within him at those words–“his favorite girl.” You were some sick bastard’s favorite girl to whore out for profit and abuse to his own liking. Jax felt like fucking vomiting at the idea of how you’d been treated, the way you’d been viewed. Sure, Nero and the Sons made money off of the girls at Diosa, but it wasn’t the same thing. The girls here kept most of their earnings, they were treated with respect, and they were kept safe. And there was absolutely no fucking way Nero or him would ever force one of the girls to stay here if they wanted to leave. What you’d endured–how you’d been treated–was repulsive.
“What kinda trouble are we talkin’ about?” Jax asked Nero, his jaw set firm.
Nero expelled a rough sigh, his eyes darting towards the hall you’d disappeared down before he focused back on Jax. “She said he’d cut her tongue out if she ever left him,” he answered slowly. “Told her he'd make her a useless whore if she ever tried to run on him. So I’m guessing…something of the violent nature, ese.”
Unbridled rage ignited like a wildfire within Jax’s chest at those words. What disgusting monster would mark a beautiful thing like you in a cruel way like that? Who would hurt you just for wanting your goddamn freedom?
“She’s got no place to go, so I told her she could stay at Diosa for now until she can afford a place of her own,” Nero continued. “Thing is, once we close, she's gonna be here all by herself at night. I know we got decent security, but I was hoping maybe you could have some prospects watch the place on and off at night. Take turns or some shit. Just for a couple of weeks until we know this jackass isn't coming for her.”
Jax nodded silently at the suggestion, still processing the whole situation. It would add more to the Sons’ plate for a couple of weeks, but he already knew in his gut that he wouldn't be able to live with himself if he'd found out something had happened to you that he could've easily prevented.
“Yeah, I can do that,” he murmured, eyes focusing on the hallway again.
Nero silently observed Jax for a minute, taking in the way he was staring down the hall like he was expecting to catch a glimpse of you again. The ghost of a smile flickered over Nero’s face when Jax glanced back over at him.
“What?” Jax asked, brows furrowing faintly together. “The hell you lookin’ at me like that for?”
Nero shook his head, that hint of a smile still present. “Nothing, ese,” he answered. “But since she’ll be helping with the business side of things and you might have to work with her a bit, maybe you can meet her in a couple of days. Once she’s had a chance to get situated here and settled in. Might be good for her to meet the man in charge of keeping the girls safe, too. That good with you?”
Jax’s eyes dropped back down to his bottle of beer on the bar counter, a handful of thoughts racing through his mind as his index finger traced the line of the label. “Yeah,” he murmured. “That’s good with me. Got some club business I should head out and deal with anyway.”
“Alright,” Nero agreed, rising up from his chair at the bar. “Then I’ll introduce you to our new girl in a couple of days.”
Jax rose up from his chair as well, bringing his beer up to his lips and downing the rest of it. As he set the empty bottle back down, he focused on Nero one last time.
“I'll figure something out with the prospects later,” Jax informed him. "Have them keep an eye on the place starting tonight. She'll be safe here, man. You can promise her that.”
“I'll pass along the message,” Nero replied. “I'm sure she'll appreciate it.”
Jax gave the man a single nod before he turned, making his way towards the exit of Diosa. But as he pushed one of the large black doors open, the afternoon sunlight pouring inside of the foyer, Jax hesitated in the doorway. Glancing back over his shoulder, his eyes once more lingered on the hallway you’d disappeared down as the image of your face and that split lip flashed through his mind again.
What the hell was your story, and why the fuck did he suddenly want to hear it?

TASTE LIKE ROCK CANDY ࿔. hookups and situationships

𝗦𝗖𝗘𝗡𝗘 ──────── idols that evie has not dated but hooked up with
( 対 ) SEXUAL CONTENT AHEAD MDNI · contains! mentions of sexual encounters. first times. drunken hookups. / back to library
this doesn’t represent any of the idols mentioned and is just fiction …
KIM SUNWOO
( 𓈀 circa twenty-twenty one )
this happened after kingdom , she hadn’t really known much about him before hand , but she was extremely attracted to him while they were filming and he was attracted to him — and it just happened.
she didn’t expect her first time to be anything special ; from what she heard from other people, she knew it was probably gonna hurt like hell , so it wasn’t sunwoo’s fault , he was as gentle as he could , and didn’t hurt that much after a while.
after the first time , there were two separate times were they hooked up , and that’s where she actually started to gain feelings for the boy , but he didn’t really seem interested in anything more than, so to not further her heartbreak she broke it off , and they haven’t really seen each other since , unless it’s in passing.
HAN JISUNG
( 𓈀 circa twenty-twenty three )
too much alcohol and both of them being in close proximity to each other lead to a drunken night of them being tied up in his sheets , both of them trying to keep quiet.
the next day , they both woke up , hungover and naked in his sheets , trying to piece together what the hell happened and how they let it get this far , but even then they couldn’t because they had to quickly get dressed before the others got up.
they never did it again and it was extremely awkward for a while but soon they both forgot about it , they were too busy to even think about anything else but work. however they don’t bring it up and if any of the members attempt to they deny it ever happened.
LEE GEONU
( 𓈀 circa twenty-twenty three )
she was introduced to him through jeongin , and he had the biggest crush on the girl , she thought he was cute , and he was nice so she asked for his number.
this happened not too long after the han incident and probably the longest situationship , it last on and off over the course of three months. at this point she definitely wasn’t looking for a established relationship and she made that very clear entering this relationship with him.
they only saw each other when they wanted something from each other , it was no longer than a hour or two and the they went on their own ways. this went on until they both just drifted apart , they both got busy and so they just unofficially ended it .

Did you have to fly on the place with socal again? Was it awkward or were to able to switch seats?
no, we didn’t fly together at all, thankfully. the whole situation left such a shit taste in my mouth tbh and just goes to show how much i was treated like a trophy lee instead of a person.
he asked me if i wanted to go to AUNT with him back in November i think? can’t remember. i said id love to, but not to consider me a guarantee bc the odds of me being able to afford a flight, ticket and room were slim to none. he offered to share a room with me, but didn’t mention the flight or anything (which was completely fine! i did not want him to pay for my fight) and i said that would make it much easier.
then throughout December he started posting things and tagging me on here about how we’re going to be duo lers, offer gang tickles, etc. i was like oooo yikes - bc lots of moots were getting excited about hanging with me there and i was just like, aaaah i hope i can raise enough money! so, after 2-3 of these posts came in from him, i texted him and said look i hate to ask you this but you’ve p much told all of tumblr that im for SURE going to aunt with you and that we’re gonna be a gang tickle duo. if i can’t get the money together in time, are you ok with covering my flight until i can pay you back? and he agreed saying it was no problem whatsoever.
thennnn the fallout happened as shown in the texts from the night my dog got sick. i was so hurt by the whole “one day you’re asking me to borrow money and the next i’m unsafe and terrible” blah blah. i said ok hell no i’m never ever asking you for anything financially ever again, do not even worry about it, i do not need your help, i’ll get my own way there.
then we reconciled after a 2 hour phone call the next day where i just fell for all of the claims that his play partner was psychotic and that i interpreted his context incorrectly and that he didn’t mean any of it the way i took it, yatta yatta.
then everything was somewhat mellowed out. i started trying to actually plan the trip with him, asking him if he’s gotten the room yet, if he’s gotten his own plane ticket yet, etc. he never gave me a straight answer, left me on delivered a bunch, and then eventually just told me he lost his steam for aunt and wasn’t going anymore. so i said damn that sucks, hope you change your mind bc i’m sure it’ll be fun etc.

i think in his mind, if he didn’t go, i wouldn’t be able to go. so when i reached out and connected with my angel love baby girl mik and she offered me the pullout couch in her room, i was elated!!! this meant i would only have to buy the plane ticket and id be squared away!!!
well, guess what happened the moment he found that out?

suddenly there was a mad scramble for him to find a room “for us” since the hotel was already booked out. even tho i’m the one who already made alternative room plans, he asks ME to make a post in the discord and ask people to hmu if someone cancels so he can “get a room for us.” i start getting texts from him telling me i’m his “priority” and that we’re a “package deal,” all the while we haven’t even seen each other in like a month and we barely talk anymore. only hits me up to ask me how many sessions i have planned for aunt, and to ask me if he can use me as an excuse to reject potential lees bc he doesn’t know how to say no on his own. all of a sudden he wants to claim me and say “me and nyx aren’t planning anything til we get there.” like idk it just made me feel so sick and used. bc this energy was nowhere to be found when i was actually trying to plan our trip a month prior and he said he wasn’t even going anymore.

like, idk. all of it honestly made me feel like nothing more than a reputation enhancer once again; he wasn’t interested in showing up in my life for a real dynamic, but he wanted everyone to think we had a real dynamic. he wanted to be able to show up with “nyx from tumblr” at her first ever gathering and pretend we were bffs and ultra close play partners after all the shit he already put me through like it never happened. makes me kinda fucking sick.
so, you know the rest now - i end up talking to adi, i find out all the insane shit that was said about me to her AND the insane shit that was said about her to me being false. i keep my own flight and my separate plans to room with mik, and i tell him that i won’t be playing with him there, but i won’t make things weird for him, i’ll just keep my distance. i traveled alone, landed in Albany alone, made my way to a nail salon alone, and finally met up with my love my angel my baby mik. bing bang boom!

Giovanni stood in front of Giuseppe Scuderis, his expression a mask of cold fury, his heart hammering beneath the surface. This was it… the moment everything hinged on.
“I’d think carefully before dragging this out,” Giovanni said, voice low, measured. “Because while we stand here wasting time, your wife and daughter are tied up, waiting to be slaughtered.”
The words sent a ripple through the room. Even Vince, Giuseppe’s loyal runner, tensed at the mention of his boss’s family. Giovanni watched as Giuseppe’s jaw tightened, his calculating eyes narrowing in suspicion.
“You’re bluffing,” Giuseppe spat, though there was a sliver of doubt beneath the bravado.
Giovanni tilted his head. “Am I?” He took a slow step forward. “You think your men are loyal? All of them? One of them talked, Giuseppe. He gave us everything; told us exactly where you keep them. That’s how I know they’re sitting in a dark room right now, helpless. You let my wife and son go, and we’ll tell Enzo’s men to stand down. Or…” He let the weight of the unspoken threat settle.
A flicker of something dangerous crossed Giuseppe’s face, but it was fleeting. He was an old dog who knew the cost of hesitation. His family was his Achilles’ heel, and Giovanni had pressed right against it.
A long silence stretched before Giuseppe exhaled sharply, his lip curling in disgust. “Vince,” he barked. “Get them.”
Vince hesitated, looking between them.
“Now.”
The runner turned on his heel and disappeared through the heavy doors.
Giovanni’s chest was tight as he waited. Nicola would be coming back to him. That much, he was sure of, but Giovanni Jr.? That was the real fight. The boy had been raised under the Scuderis’ thumb. He was likely taught to hate them, to believe his father had abandoned him. Would he even want to leave? If refused, would Giovanni have to drag his own son out by force?
The thought threatened to unravel him, but he shoved it down. He’d fight for his son, and he’d do whatever it took to make him see the truth.
The door creaked open, and Giovanni’s breath locked in his chest as Vince stepped inside, leading Nicola and Gio Jr. into the room. They looked unharmed — no bruises, no visible wounds — but their eyes told a different story. Dark, wide, filled with terror. Nicola looked like she might collapse at any second, her face pale, her steps unsteady. His son… God, his first born son… was a mirror of himself, the same sharp jaw, the same dark eyes, but filled with a wariness Giovanni had never seen before. He wanted to move, to close the distance, to pull them both into his arms and swear they’d never be touched again, but he couldn’t. Not yet. He forced himself to stay rooted, his hands curling into fists at his sides. First, he had to finish this. He had to make sure no one would ever come for them again.
His eyes snapped back to Giuseppe. “This isn’t over.”
The older man scoffed. “You got what you wanted. Take your wife, take your son, and get the hell out of my sight.”
“No.” Giovanni’s voice was ironclad. “Not like this.” He took another step forward, closing the space between them. “I want something binding. Something ancient. Something that will destroy either of us if it’s broken.”
Giuseppe’s brow furrowed.
“A blood oath.”

Villainous Theory!! (*´꒳`*)
I've rewatched a few episodes for villainous and I've always been so interested in the heroes and why they are so corrupt, setting apart the more less known heroes like G-Lo who all have good intentions for being a hero, focusing on the ones considered 'popular' (e.g Sunblast, Miss Heed).
Surely as such influential figures they SURELY have some reason to save people for anything but fame or popularity. Even then, do they have a reason why most heroes are corrupt backstory wise?
For example, Miss Heed. She's so obsessed with popularity, obsessed with being loved and adored to the point she used her position as hero to use this to her advantage. I've always wondered why Miss Heed was like this, seeing as she's a child with a luxurious upbringing as we see how her father gave her a credit card at 7 years old. (coming from Miss Heed's upcoming book advertisement).
With Miss Heed's obsession of being 'loved', we can gather it most likely comes from heavy insecurity which is referenced in a quote said by Dr Flug at the end of 'Heedeous Heart' where he says "You must learn to love yourself first". Seeing as Dr Flug has known Heed since their high school days, we can gather he's well aware of Miss Heed and her self-consciousness. Although, what could've possibly garnered such a insecurity? Miss Heed has always been presenting herself as arrogant, as self absorbed especially around her subordinates or friends. She's surrounded with luxuries, with fame and power yet she still craves more.
This is where I like to insert my theory of Miss Heed being neglected as a child.
Yes, she was most likely not in the worst living situation as a child. Her father is rich, filthy rich as we can see he gets a whole ass villain to help with a plot to get her out of a prison facility AND the fact Miss Heed has several houses around the damn world (As seen in 'The Shrunken Rescue' comic). But has Heed's father ever shown affection for his daughter? Has it ever been mentioned that her father acted to care about her?
Seeing how rich her father is, it's enough to assume he was a business man of a sort. As a business man, he potentially had little to no time for his daughter. Ever since Heed was born, it's a possibility she had been cared for by nannies and not her own parent. It's potential that as a child Miss Heed's father would get her to shut up by slapping a credit card in her face, tell her to 'go crazy' so she'd leave him alone. I'm convinced that the reason Miss Heed is such a brat is because of Mr. Kelly's own doing, of how he raised her. To get her to shut up he'd let her get what she wanted, not matter the cost.
Hell, I'd go as far to say he let her let her go to the Black Hat Institution was so he could get her off his back.
Although, all the spending and expensive items would never fill the lack of love in Heed's life. It would never fill the void in her heart that only the love and attention from a parental figure would fill.
This isn't defending Heed's actions but it's once again proof that Miss Heed could've been yearning for affection no matter what. From her obsession with Goldheart to hypnotizing a whole city for love and attention, Heed's yearning for love can never be satisfied because she never received genuine love. Love and attention from the parental figure who should've given it to her, her father.
Theory ramble done. I would've added more for other heroes like Goldheart and Sunblast but decided to leave this Heed focused cuz I love her hah 😋. Would've added more like her mother not being in the picture but went against it as this is long as hell already .
