hmmm youd have to specify which bands and people youre talking about

when it comes to like 21p they first came out of the closet as antiblack with their silence on the ferguson riots and joshs nerd lives matter tweet well after fob went on tour with them, and idk when that taco bell song surfaced. the association comes from a lot of fob fans being introduced to 21p with the save rock and roll tour, and with the fact that theyre an emo act, so theres gonna be a fair bit of overlap there. petes still following them both but i think hes under way more scrutiny on social media so if he unfollowed either of them people would immediately notice and talk about it because people do that all the time constantly.

with post split panic, first of all panic got their start specifically because of pete so theres always going to be that association, plus its still on dcd2. i think a lot of the racist stuff brendon has said has been controversial hot takes he thinks will get people talking about him. any press is good press etc etc. not to say he doesnt believe the stupid shit, i do think he did genuinely think being "transracial" in the rachel dolezal sense was the same as being transgender because hes not a well read or curious individual whatsoever (btw did he ever rescind that statement. i dont recall), but its like a different beast. also ive noticed that the only person in the fob vortex who still follows brendon or patd on instagram is pete, and pete owns the imprint hes on, and again, hes thee Fall Out Boy. so i think thats a case of entaglement.

Everything at Once

Idk what im doing but I will put a Trigger warning here before anything. I wrote this to be just after the accident. There is a slight bit of panic attack in here. Its not explicitly mentioned as a panic attack but it is sensory over load paired with it so its Not Fun. Also its been YEARS since i last wrote anything so please have mercy.

His parents had taken him in to the hospital as soon as they had gotten home. He had been unconscious at the time, waking up in the hospital bed hadn’t been pleasant. It sadly wasn’t the first time that has happened to him though. He never had the best luck.

Upon waking up the first thing he noticed was how jarringly loud it was.

The beeping felt like ringing in his ears. He could hear so many voices, overlapping, speaking in hushed voices outside his door. Sounds of shoes clacking against the ground. His own breathing sounded harsh and ragged. He heard a loud, slow thumping. And nearly drowned out by it all. A quiet buzz, that reminded him of a electricy. The sounds weren’t the only thing that was overwhelming. The sheets- which he was normally perfectly fine with why are they so scratchy and uncomfortable? The walls had such strange patterns to them. The entire room looked wrong. Its never looked like this before why does it look weird.

It wasn’t until he looked down at his hands did everything come crashing in.

His left hand had a raw, burring red mark going all the way up his arm. It branched out everywhere like lightning- why does it almost look like its glowing. its glowing green. HOly shit its glowing- He felt his breathing pick up. He heard the beeping get louder and faster. The voices outside stopped talking. He couldn’t pay attention to what happened. He knew they came in to the room, he knew they went to talk to him- why were they talking to him? Why are they so loud?   One seemed to notice him flinch at the sounds and lowered their voice. He never caught what they was saying. Their tone was nice. His world got blurry.

A week had passed since the accident. Or was it two? he wasn’t entirely sure. He didn’t leave his room for much. Jazz brought him food, and so did Sam and Tucker. 

He didn’t like how loud everything was around the house. He never noticed - or maybe he did- how loud that his dad was. He know he never noticed how everything seemed to make noise. All the electronics buzzed. The lights, the fridge, the computers, the tv - everything. He liked to sit in his room with the lights off. They don’t buzz if they’re off.

The next few days were better and then much more akward.

Sam and Tucker dropped off some headphones that canceled out sound. He felt... much better wearing them. It was still loud but not as bad. However, they couldn’t help everything else that was coming up.

“I think I’m really strong.” Danny hugged his knees close.

“Are you sure that’s not just puberty-?” Sam elbowed Tucker.

“What makes you think that.”

Silently Danny slid off his bed and with ease- lifted it one handed. Bed Frame and all, with his two friends sitting on it. “Tada.” 

“...Oh.”

Almost full month had passed since the accident. 

School had started the week before. And he was already banned from handling all glassware in the school. Breaking most of the science labs extra beakers on accident does that. 

During lunch, he sat with his friends. Tucker had mentioned earlier that day wanting to show him something. (Danny was just glad that today seemed more normal than yesterdays arguments between Sam and Tucker. Who knew that they’d get all riled up about the lunch menu?)

“Hey Danny, do you remember Iron man?”

“...well... yeah? what about him...?” He slowly sat at the table.

Tucker just gave him the biggest grin. “Well I was blessed with an amazing idea last night. And with the power of only two red bulls, I present my idea. You can be a super hero too.”

“So? What do you think?”

“Tuck. Thats funny and all. But he fights big time. He’s an avenger.” Danny sighed. “Besides, theres barely any crime here-”

A shudder went through Danny’s body. Like he had just walked into a freezer. When he exhaled, it came out in a mist. “...That only happens at home by the portal-”

so dipper wasnt supposed to wake her up but he found her and fords notes and he and mabel went on an adventure

so stan has to leave mabel and dipper in the woods (idk y it wasnt for long the twins are just impatient) so stan disappears and the twins are like “lETS EXPLORE THE WOODS”

they come across some creepy old house w a lot of spiderwebs (can u guess the villain yet?)

an older woman comes out and is like “why are you guys lost in the forest?”

mabel points to the glitter trail “we’re not lost”

dipper looks behind them ‘mabel!!! where’s all the glitter?!”

(ACTUALLY MAYBE ITS YARN???) 

so they lose the trail 

meanwhile stan is losing his fucking mind

he follows the stray glitter but it’s blown all over

he feels “LOST IN THE WOOOOODDDS!!!”

so the old lady offers for them to stay the night bc its getting late

dipper is SUPER sus but he plays it cool surprisingly

mabel is So In!

long short...stan eventually saves them from darlene’s trap

usually shes just a maneater but look

when u live in the woods u do what u can

so stan hauls them back to their cottage

dipper knew there was weird shit out there but he wants MORE

he starts going through his great-uncle’s journals (*cue the dipper squee*)

he reads about bill and his deal w paz’s parents

he’s like....’maybe we should rescue her?’

ford wont tell him why they cant

so dipper and mabel sneak out

they steal the grunkles’ boat

mabel falls over board???

dipper tries like HELL to save her

but then he sees mermando save her

SO MABEL IS SAVED BY MERMANDO!!! 

gideon (who had long-loved mabel from afar) finds out

he visits the merman to trick him

all mabel remembers is his voice

so YES mermando trades his voice for legs just like the movie

sue me okay w his distinct accent it makes sense!!!

so the twins get sidetracked bc mermando shows up out of nowhere

they dock on a small island for a pit stop and thats when ‘kiss the girl’ happens

they dont kiss so they move on

they dock on another stretch of land the next day

AND GIDEON APPEARS

the twins have only heard about him from their grunkles so mabel hears his voice and goes *heart eyes*

mermando is Distressed

dipper is Focused on getting to this sleeping princess

mabel makes fun of him for liking her

SO GIDEON HAS MERMANDOS VOICE!

at one point dipper catches him w/o the amulet that makes him sound like mermando

and he tells mabel and its kinda like “the hand that rocks the mabel” or whatever the ep was called

it takes dipper and mermando being threatened (and gideons voice slipping) for her to catch on and she breaks up w him

dipper wants to throw him overboard

they just leave him on the next inhabited island they find

mermando got his kiss but decides to go back to the ocean anyway

he promises to write

the twins come across a land near the one paz is on and decide to stop for food and to stretch their legs and other hygiene things

they find out there’s some archery thing going on and mabel is like ’ooooh can we try?!’

turns out its for neighboring kingdoms’ princes to win a princess

mabel and dipper think this is RIDICULOUS so they crash it

mabel steps up to shoot and everyone’s like ‘wHO THE FUCK ARE YOU?’

then dipper steps up beside her. neither of them have shot a bow before

they shoot at the same time. mabel’s like thisclose to the bullseye. dippers too far right

THEN!!! PRINCESS WENDY COMES OUT OF NOWHERE

and he knows where the princess is!!!

they decide to head for the tower robbie directed them to. but they have to pass the castle. Northwest Castle

robbie warned them about the northwests. said that the princess was one and before she disappeared she was the snottiest brat hed ever met

so they became friends despite the fact that he plays music for a living (and not very well either)

her parents told her of the spell when she was twelve

so robbie’s like “they are not nice people and neither was she??? most of the townsfolk are glad shes asleep tbh”

but dammit! dipper came here for an adventure!!! he wasnt going to stop just bc the princess wasnt what he expected!

so they continue on!

everyone is looking around the room and like...taking it all in

all his friends have returned to the princess’s room and mabel is like “u gotta kiss her brobro!”

so dipper...poor poor dipper...just leans forward and kisses her

and even tho she was forewarned she wasnt expecting DIPPER so she SCREAMS

dippers ears are ringing

she shuts her eyes and stills her breathing and sits up.

AND SEES EVERYONE ELSE AND SCREAMS AGAIN

so once shes a little more calm they explain the whole adventure to her

Episode #6: “LITTLE MISS MADISON said FUCK JACOB” -Kevin

WHATS POPPING, this game thats whats popping ladies and gentlemen whew, to say the least that is. Considering my last confessional was like round 1, let me go ahead and fill you guys in on what you MISSED!! (from my perspective) We voted Tom, then Julia, then Kenny all unanimously which was meh, I liked Tom but he's very ruthless but I think I could've worked with him for a little but he just wasn't on so I couldn't do anything without risking my game, then theres Julia another person I liked and wanted to work with but her inactivity was gross and she made her own bed and she's kinda crazy so hopefully it was for the better, lastly in the string of unanimous votes we had KENNY I was ELATED to see him go, finally someone actually bad for my game left, we never talked and we did not have a good history so him staying would have sucked, then JG had to walk from the game which was.. something, personally for my situation that was great and while I hope everything is ok with him and his life I am not ashamed to say I was happy to have his presence in the game be gone, to be frank. THEN!!!!!!! things started to heat up! So going into the 4th tribal I was vulnerable for the FIRST time all game, and to make matters worse there was only 5 other people to choose from outside of myself, so that was really really shitty and I hated that feeling, luckily prior to the vote I found my way into 2 different alliances one being named the "fat five" consisting of myself, madeleine, jacob, ricky and andrew! this is a group i feel comfortable with for the time being and I trust, and then after that I was added to a chat with Joanna, Pat and Stephen which seems to be an alliance but is not properly named. I appreciate that my social ability has led me into 2 different completely non-overlapping alliances but it's also put me in the MIDDLE of those 2 alliances which seem to have different HOPES about where this game is going. So during the final 14 vote my name was brought up for what was told to me as a millisecond, a very short period of time that didn't really spark any fires in people to want to vote me out, I heard of this first through JOANNA, surprisingly she told me Stephen told her about it which was alarming to me because I liked Stephen and should he have heard my name I would have expected him to bring it to my attention, frankly he did NOT and in the midst of having a 1 in 6 shot of going home I was not going to rock the boat at all, so I bit my tongue and let the round play on and considered this something to be better addressed at a future time. So back to the actual VOTE the actual coming up of names I had no part in both Dylan and Brien were brought to me by the respective "sides" of the tribes if you will, with Dylan being Pat/Jo/Steves choice and Brien being Mad/And/Ric/Jac's choice both side were VERY intensely wanting their vote to go through (which is expected) but as everything unfolded I realized the kumbaya spirits that blessed the 3 tribals prior had seemingly left the building because me being vulnerable for the first time is a GREAT time to take a break, to put it quickly THE VOTE WAS SPLIT. With neither side budging despite my best efforts. After some investigative work I realized that outside of the fat five the brien vote was not widely wanted, and after taking myself out of the picture would have resulted in a 7-6 vote with Dylan leaving. So once i realized this and decided for myself that Dylan leaving was in fact the better move for my game, considering his challenge dominance and his close bonds to people who i considered my closest allies, he needed to be cut loose. In the final stretch before tribal I knew what was coming and what needed to be done so I had to lay the base work for what I was about to do which MEANT either flipping my alliance (fat five) or providing visible doubt within myself enough to prove that I was not LYING, I spoke to madeleine through most of this confessing concerns that we did not have the votes and perhaps it was best to just ride the dylan wave out as a unit like we had done up until that point, but there was no budging with her I expressed MULTIPLE concerns MULTIPLE times, and no movement. Then I went to jacob who was out of the loop as ever, he had no idea dylan was even an option and I told him that it was and it was likely to be the end result of the night with or without him, and I then tried to speak to andrew who was presumably at work but i really couldn't tell ya, I messaged him asking had he heard Dylans name at all, no response but the effort was there and I wasn't gonna call him just to give bad news, and lastly in the final moments I confessed to madeleine I "switched" my vote to Dylan to avoid a tie, which was true, and became my main selling point for WHY I did it which is fair, while there are revotes it's still half way to rocks and thats one hike i will NOT be taking, at least not this early and not over Dylan's ass lets make that clear. Then, the deed is done and the dust settles and im left to pick up the pieces of a devastated alliance, as I said i expose myself and admit to not wanting a tie and worrying for the safety of myself and ricky (who would've had a 50% chance of one of us going should it have gone to rocks) Im comforted by Madeleine and Ricky who understand the position I was in, Andrew was understandably and slightly upset but hey I DID try and talk to him, jacob pretty indifferent as always, I felt in the clear and I had nothing to do but move on. I will be doing the final 13 vote in a SEPARATE confessional, you're welcome  

BACK BACK BACK AGAIN, HALLELU! where were we? lets keep this going shall we, anyways SO FINAL 13, the challenge is remembering the cats trailer which I tried slightly after quite a long day at work so my brain wasn't fully there, I did do quite a bit of studying but my dumb ASS didn't think to remember the order of celebrities, or the featured names/works that were affiliated with the trailer, so I lost a lot of time in having to go back and watch those parts which scored me a mere 14 !! which was sadly not enough to win Immunity, instead Andrew and Stephen won! 1 person from each alliance, how poetic. The winners didn't really affect me or my gameplay this week it was quite a non factor. Which makes sense in a 14 person tribe, with now 12 people eligible to be voted out. The first half of the day was quite like every other vote, no names, no activity everyone waiting for the storm to flood in and sweep us away in the dark murky waters of tashirojima where somebody's gonna end up drowning. AND THEN IT HAPPENS!! suddenly there's names... LNGVO (Pat/Jo/Steve alliance) seems to be wary of Madeleine, who is quite the talker and a good social player considering her persistance with talking to people, it's impressive really. She won the social challenge by a landslide and that scared people and specifically scared Pat who threw her name out there first, pitching a pretty decent case in my opinion but Maddie trusts me so I don't really give into the pitch while Joanna agrees I subtly drop a message providing why her gameplay isn't all it's seemed to be and how she'll likely do herself in in due time, and we should probably just wait it out. While my tiny message likely had no impact Stephen did somewhat agree, he felt making another big move (was dylan that big of a move?) would set a domino effect into play and ultimately catch up to one of us which I agreed with. So while Pat and Joanna were still hung up on Maddie going home if at all possible we/they also recognized that her likability at this point in the game would make it hard to vote her out considering Jay/Timmy 2 MOTR players wouldn't write her name down was a game changer. So then the vote swapped to Jacob a less social and less likable player but also a key component to the unbeknownst to them alliance, the fat five, so I couldn't really have that happening BUT I did encourage the idea once it came up because while I wanted to pitch the idea of going Brien to this group but with the talk of "staying strong" as an "8" that voted together previously I knew it wouldn't be well received and I didn't want to risk looking sketchy that early in the day cause you never know how quick a vote can turn if given the right chance, so I sat back and agreed and made a small case for why jacob "SHOULD" be the vote and then they settled on Jacob because my assumptions were that if the vote was Jacob then Madison (who i assumed to be close to jacob) would not vote for him and would mean not necessarily a vote for the fat five but one less vote for LNGVO who by the mathematics of it, had the majority. BUT BOY WAS I WRONG, cause "we" settled on jacob and as it turns out LITTLE MISS MADISON said FUCK JACOB and voted for him !!! That was a shocker. But lets back up, before the votes were read I eventually brought up Brien's name AGAIN in the fat five, hoping we could stick on that, piss off less people and keep the sides more even so I don't give either side the upperhand WITHOUT needing little ol me, the middle position is only powerful if theres a middle to sit in. So if Brien went home I kept the balance, I appease the previously disappointed fat five and save the day with getting brien out just 1 round late. Without much fight they agree, it really does seem like the best decision so now I know where both sides are aiming I just need to figure out what their ammunition looks like. I knew where most of the votes were gonna be EXCEPT FOR Jay and Madison, both promised both sides their votes (which I know because I am somehow a part of both sides and thats why I hate my life) so without myself madison and Jay the votes looked like like 6-5 in the  LNGVO favor in eliminating Jacob, a close ally of mine, so now I had to secure 1 more vote to tip the scales in my favor, Jay had been on the fence all day from what he said, and so I went to talk to him like 10 minutes before tribal and he confessed to being on the fence and he told me while he promised his vote was going to go against jacob he didnt feel like he could follow through and i said SAME DUDE!!!! we're in the same boat, so i took this opportunity to relate and then make sure he felt confident in his decision because he was making it with me. And we locked on Brien, and he went on to later tell me that me agreeing with him and our conversation was the push he needed to lock that vote in, which im so grateful for. Now yet again I had to soften the blow to the side that I was voting against, while I knew Jay was flipping for about 20 minutes before I said anything (from 5:50 to about 6:10) I needed to find the perfect timing to tell LNGVO that I heard Jay was flipping and that Madison was also voting Brien (which wasn't true but I DID HEAR that she was from Madeleine and Andrew so I didn't lie) and with this I said I don't know if the votes are there anymore, and obviously Joanna not showing up until the last second was helpful too because that added to the sense of insecurity with that vote, and I also said I don't wanna vote Jacob if he's not gonna go home (again, true) and so with only 1 more person to be asked a question I dropped the bomb with little to no time to recover and have Stephen or Pat go and talk to jay to flip him back and no time to really figure out what was happening. Then the votes are read Brien goes home THANK U BABY JESUS and my plan worked out. Now I just need to continue to balance these 2 alliances as best as possible. In my next submission I will talk about the information and events that happened AFTER the votes were read. Thank you!

PART 3, THE FINALE, ARE YOU EXCITED? im excited, anyways. So Brien's gone hallelujah amen am i right. The LNGVO alliance seems understand when I express my concerns that the vote was too close to call and I couldn't really trust much of what anyone said like I mean come on, it was 7-6 for christs sake. They seem ok with it, understanding that this isn't the end of the world and theres still a bunch of game to be played and just hope to move forward stronger than before and hopefully still with the majority. And then I speak to Jay again, "baffled" at the fact that we were in the middle and the decision makers, making sure he knew it was both of our decision which leads him to propose that he would like to work with me, and I agree obviously! I really like Jay we share a love of pizza and pretzels and anything that combines pizza and pretzels. But also he's in the middle as well and he was another person to promise his vote one way and go back on it, similar to what I did, so I wont or shouldn't be taking heat alone which is always good. AND THEN the real kicker of the night, earlier on in the day I spoke to Stephen about hearing my name and not telling me, and gave him the chance to tell me his story, as vague as can be he tells me that it came up but wasn't truly considered, when asked specifically who said my name he dodged the question but did tell me it originated in a conversation with Madeleine, who I trusted and also didn't tell me about hearing my name but AFTER THE VOTE Maddie brought it up that Stephen in fact said my name on a call to HER not the other way around which jogged my memory and I confirmed and he in fact threw me out as an option for the vote, the same round he started an alliance with me! Ridiculous that guy. So now I know that Stephen has a thought in his mind that looks at me as a threat and someone that he ALREADY has considered targeting. While I initially felt bad having to let down LNGVO considering the alliance was created by Stephen I feel less bad now knowing that he is two-faced and is to not be trusted by me, despite how hard he wants to try and seem loyal to the alliance. People such as Andrew and Mad already see his sketchiness and the back and forth and I'm glad I want to capitalize on that and hopefully make something happen. But it's too soon to tell what I want to happen this round with 2 days for immunity and another for tribal really anything can happen and thats worrysome. but lets end on a positive note, Madeleine told me that I am her favorite person in this game and that she trusts me the most, which is AMAZING, she also brought up the idea of forming a final three of myself, her and Andrew to which I obviously agreed to but I think she may not know that Andrew has a pre-existing relationship to Ricky, and I have a pre-existing relationship to Jacob and Jacob and Ricky ALSO know each other well. But that may not even come into play but it's important to note that I am now officially a part of someones end game (for the time being) this is huge and I hope to become a part of more peoples end games as the game progresses. Madeleine is totally a backstabber but that's okay. I already knew that since tribal 2. I think I'm gonna switch to vote her off only bc now I have Jay and Pat talking to me. Thank gods Brien got voted off. He never talked to me besides setting up the alliance. I favor people who talk over people who doesn't so that's one less inactive person. I"M SO GLAD THAT THIS CHALLENGE IS AN ARTISTIC ONE. I can not wait to see how people react to what I drew. I think its hella nice. Even if I get voted off after this challenge, that's perfectly fine and I'm okay with that since this is my pride and joy of the season. Plus I won't be gone gone since we're all jurors anyways. It'll just be lonely for a few days until the next juror gets voted out. Or multiple. Lukas and Olivia seems to be hinting at more than one person can be voted out and idk man. These people are so messy. So Jacob left my alliance with him and Madison but I’m messaging him (or at least trying to, he’s responding slowly but I think he’s at work so it’s all good) because I need him to know I didn’t vote for him. Madison did though and now I know she also voted Dylan and she thought I did too. I still want Madison in but like I don’t want to go to the end with her mainly bc I know she would be more likely than others to vote for me in the end. There’s plenty of reasons to get Madeleine out but she’s not winning immunities so the opportunity will be better with less people and these people are smart and will see that she is a social threat but yea she is easy to beat in immunity (although I haven’t been doing too well in immunities). I want Ricky gone bc I fucked up and never answered his message from a while ago so that is a dead relationship so he can go. Also I want Joanna gone sooner rather than later because I know she is smart.

This means we dont have to be worried about a massive blindside, the only true ally i have thats vulnerable is Madison, but it seems the vote is aiming more at ricky, thank god. I like the guy but hes just one of the less-active people and I want to make sure we dont have an ftc full of goats who just drifted through. Kevin is the only one of my alliance im wary of, he has done great in challenges so far, and that can be dangerous the closer you get to FIC, so eventually he will lose immunity and ill have to betray him. Is it normal to feel nervous before doing something you’ve longed for? Is it normal to feel nervous when you feel like you could have been better prepared? Is it possible to believe in your strength in doing something yet still isnt as confident as you’d like to be? Is it normal to be nervous when theres someone sitting at the back evaluating you...u think me sitting at the back didnt affect how she performed? Ofc i’m nervous and yes I could have better prepared. But it has been a horribly packed schedule for half a year, then it came the holidays, Christmas, New year, food, hikes, relaxing nights...after half a year of non-stop overlapping deadlines, is it normal to take a while to bounce back? Does that mean that I cant go back? Sure I could use a bit more motivation, all those book lists, skills sets...dont even know where to start. Well, guess I can decide on something and start from there, make my timetable, and stick to it. And don’t forget to be grateful. It’s really true that your equilibrium level of happiness always stays more or less the same, regardless of what happens to you. Yes I’ve been figuring out what I want to do in life, found it, chased it, and now I’m getting it. Meanwhile I’ve been searching for someone special, I was once almost hopeless, but now I have nothing to complain, feeling so freaking blessed everyday. And I’m slowing crawling out of the dark place that I was once trapped in, showing myself out and making peace with life. And now what? Complain about the workload while chasing your dream? Ignore the fact that I could easily be those hundreds of people who’ve been chasing this for years? Slack behind school work and just want a pass? Take your SO for granted forgetting what you’ve been through all these years? Human beings are so adaptive, and thats both good and bad. My bitch ass glasses broke so I’m more than happy to be doing a challenge that requires my ears. Maybe wil my eyesight so poor my hearing will get better to compensate who knows. Even if we lose I’m in a Gucci spot to survive.

Tribal was a success. With the first tribal done I’m happy trust is built and I can stop being paranoid.

With that said I think I’m in a good position going forward as I have an alliance and we’re probably reaching a merge or a swap soon.

I've been a bit nervous about my position and stuff in the game and I'm trying to catch up socially with a lot of people and stuff. I'm doing what I can on a five person tribe and hope I can work on hard on getting as far as I can in this game. I have a feeling we merge next round so that could be cool. I wanna make it far as I can this game, I'm trying to be active but UTR so hopefully it works.

Well, we lost once again and I’m upset about it. The challenge was super hard for us and we struggled. It seemed like everyone wasn’t really putting in all they could as they just said “I forgot” I was like oh!! cool!! This tribal, I’m not crazy worried right now. I trust Scott a lot at this point because he doesnt have a reason to lie to me by telling me that I’ve been holding up the tribe because... I have been. I think the move this week is to vote out Malik. We’ll see whats going on but I really think we might be doing that this week. Hopefully there’s a merge soon because I need to fucking be by myself!!!

My ass is for sure on the line tonight. I know that  Malik is targetting me for being weak and all that so rn I’m just trying to get Scott 100% on board with voting me and Malik 100% certain that he is safe with me just in case there’s an idol and maybe if I’m too in my nerves and scared I have no qualms with throwing a vote on dani incade of a tie

That one didn't seem so easy,  partially cause I sucked at it and mainly because I sucked major balls at it. But hey Mo and David saved our asses so yeeeeeeeeeeee boi. So WOOOOOOOO this is the first tribal of the season that i'm not attending which is amazingggg and feels so good to finally have a break!! Plus like I honestly LOVE my tribe rn bc everyone is so iconic and fun and we even made a charlie's angels thing bc its so iconic... ugh love them BUT if it came down to tribal I think I would be okay still since i've really worked on rhys and we have a 3 dude gay guardians alliance of me, rhys, and ryan even tho im not even gay but they dont need to know that... my boy scott is in tribal rn but i hope he comes out okay!!! if he doesn't well oops idc bye bitch but if he does then yay!!

Tonight I am absolutely terrified I think the votes are gonna be on Malik but you just never know so my best plan is just to hope for the best and campaign to stay I’m not just gonna sit back and get eliminated especially this close to a merge situation where I know I’ll be in a good position to make it far.

My thing is I think it’s is going to go to rocks. Which is why we were worried about that when linus left but it’s real. Dani we don’t wanna vote each other, hell everyone says they don’t want to vote me which is always weird for me to hear but if that’s true good if they’re all voted me then nasty.. but I don’t want to vote Dani and I definitely don’t want to vote Scott..so that kinda leads to Michael which I don’t want to vote either but I have reasons: the main reason is the past couple of challenges he’s done the worst in, and if we need to survive incase there’s no swap or merge then we need all the strong members here.

I feel a bigger bond with Dani and Scott vs Michael who I feel is cool but I don’t feel we’re clicking on a better level. And it’s not even a tribe thing it’s literallt what I feel could save us from tribal, and how don’t i know if Dani and Michael won’t vote me out right after Scott leaves? So basically what’s happening is it’s likely going to be a 2-2 on Michael and Scott, and I’m not changing my vote. So I’ll likely go to rocks and lose but that’s ok. I did my best and it could be a stupid move but I don’t wanna risk Dani and Michael voting me out if we lost again, because I’d hope Dani wouldn’t but you never know. So rocks here we come!

part 3 of arc-v college au! lots of world-building

ive been intentionally setting up college au so that the other series arc v crosses over with can be added as i consume them

like i figure... the city is in georgia, the main setting town is a college town in pennsylvania

but anyway, im figuring that the main setting town will have three schools in it, being archibald victor's institution of higher education (AVIOHE but generally referred to as "the V"), Zexal Univerisity, and a trade school the name and students of which i have yet to decide on

lets call the main setting town new yarmouth, just so we at least have a y somewhere in there and i can refer to it properly

the trade school can be called new yarmouth technical institute

all three schools have lgbt student organizations, and sometimes those organizations have joint events, so there's definitely going to be mingling

conceptually, zexal uni is considered the main school of the area, they have the highest budget & theyre Known out of state, they get students not only from all over the country but all over the world

the v is a proper school, but its reputation is less prestigious. its a younger school, it has a greater focus on the arts, and its easier to get into

ZU has been around for like... 90 years, the dean is very eager to round it up to a century

the V is about 45 years old

NYTI is about 30 years old, but quickly gaining a reputation for offering a high-caliber hands-on education, and being very accessible

this is subject to change as i get into zexal, but thats sort of how im laying it out right now

the people in arc v who grew up in standard or fusion dimension have always lived in new yarmouth, or at least nearby

people from arc v xyz dimension are from one of the suburb towns supporting new york city

& synchro city in georgia, like i said

im going to continue calling it synchro city instead of The City

although people from it still refer to it as The City

i dont actually know anything about how gx and the original series are going to fit into this, but since i seem to be consuming ygo canon in reverse order, thats a worry for next year probably

new yarmouth has a yearly pride parade, which is scheduled in such a way that it doesn't overlap with the parades in philly or nyc, since the organizers often attend all three. it is primarily a college town, and known as a liberal and artistic city. theres a mid-sized non-chain amusement park on the outskirts of the city. the local transit is acceptable but not great. most buses run once an hour, but some of the more populated routes run every half hour, and the suburban routes run every 2 hours except during rush hour. buses to the suburbs stop around 11pm, buses within the city proper stop at half past midnight.

the downtown core is all walkable, but only if youre determined. ZU and the V are about a 50-minute walk apart. with ZU to the north and the V kind of to the south-east. NYTI is to the south, only about a 20-minute walk from the V. the main strip of downtown is closer to the V than ZU. its slightly south of the true center of the city

the main strip of downtown is largely comprised of restaurants and clothing shopping. if you head west you'll find more furniture shops. south towards the v and nyti there are more auto shops and cheaper restaurants, some chain stores popping up as you pass the schools and get into the suburbs. going north from the main strip, youll find office buildings and city hall, as well as the intercity bus & train station, although when you get very close to zu, a handful of student-oriented businesses pop up again. a pizza parlour, a coffee shop, a bar, an office supplies store. zu students often complain that they dont have as many food options as the v, but their on-campus cafeteria is actually significantly better.

the dorms for zu are north and west of the university, apartment complex style. the dorms for the v are to the east of it, and are mostly sets of town houses bought up by the university. the v's dorms hold significantly less people, and as such, are reserved for students from out of town, and especially first years. getting into dorms if you lived in-state before college is almost impossible.

they do, however, have a lot of arrangements and agreements with local landlords, and its fairly easy to find an apartment with help from student services.

so!!! back to our main cast. we've already stated that shun & yuuto dorm together first year. and then ruri and rin share another dorm. the formatting for a lot of the v dorms is like.... you have a townhouse with 3 large bedrooms, each containing two beds, two dressers, two desks, and a closet. for each townhouse unit, there are two bathrooms and one kitchen. most of them are sorted by gender, but some of them are mixed. they do their best to honour student requests about who theyre roomed with, but theres only so much they can do.

yuuya, yuzu, sawatari, gongenzaka, and reiji are all still living with their parents. yuuya and yuzu have the good luck of living within a 45-minute walk of the v. sawatari lives in a mansion to the north of the city and drives to school every day. reiji lives in a condo downtown, and while he can walk to school when the weather's good, he often feels that it's easier to catch the bus. gongenzaka lives out in the far suburbs, and has to take the bus to school. since the v doesn't have a firefighter program, hes going to nyti, but he hangs around the v a lot because all his friends go there. he is often downtown for an hour before and after school, since the bus that runs past his place only runs every 2 hours.

he also has to leave campus events early fairly often in order to make it home before the buses stop. yuuya repeatedly tells him that he'd be allowed to crash at their place for the night, at any time, but gon's father gets angry when he doesnt make it home for the night, so he tries to avoid it.

yuusho is still a famous entertainer who dropped off the face of the earth when yuuya was about 11. he was an actor, more in musicals than on film, but he was in one movie, which yuuya has watched countless times. the movie was never available in major theatres, but it ran the film festival circuit and won a couple awards. its regarded as a must-watch by a select few hipsters, and essentially unknown by the general public.

for the sake of this au, barrett and selena are related. he's her uncle, they live together in a decent but not expensive apartment complex. barrett is a veteran. he's slightly hard of hearing, and tends to be louder than he needs to be. he's strict, but supportive when it matters. when selena first came out to him, he yelled at her for it, and she ran away from home. she was about 16 at the time. she couch-surfed with her friends and ignored his calls for 10 days. on the 11th day, he waited for her outside her school and apologized.

"i dont understand it and i dont like it, but i love you and i want you to come home. ill try my best to support you, this is hard on me too"

she reluctantly went home, and he started going to pflag meetings. by the time selena goes to university, he's over his initial upset over it, and walks with pflag in the local pride parade. she never met her father. her mother was also in the military, but died in service when she was 9 or 10.

barrett has taught her how to shoot multiple kinds of gun, and its a skill she's proud of. having been raised in a military household, she believes american involvement in the middle east is justified through all of grade school. when she gets to college, those views are challenged, and by the end of first year, she's a lot less convinced. her and barrett argue about it frequently.

when second year rolls around, ruri and rin lose their spot in the dorms, and yuzu is growing sick of her father's smothering affection. the four of them find an apartment together.

new yarmouth is big enough for two high schools. to the north is a private school, attended by the canon fusion dimension crew. and to the south is a public school, attended by the canon standard dimension crew

selena and yuzu met at pride the summer after they graduated high school, and exchanged phone numbers. after a few weeks, they discover they'll be going to the same college, and get excited about it. they go on a few casual dates before they start considering themselves a couple

no one is entirely sure why reiji is going to the v instead of zu, since he definitely had the grades in high school to make it into whatever college he chose. im going to say its because the v offered him a scholarship, whereas zu didnt, and while his father offered to pay his tuition, he resents the idea of depending on his fathers fortune any more than he has to.

dennis is the eldest child of a single mother, and has two younger siblings. he kickstarted his love of entertainment by putting on puppet shows for his younger siblings, and then joined the school plays and dinner theatres throughout junior high and high school. his mother thinks he's extremely talented, but worries that acting isn't really a career. as a single mother of three, she can't afford to help with his tuition, so he gets a student loan and works part-time through university. im going to say his part-time is working at an expresso bar downtown. its frequented more by the north-end office workers than by students. he's outgoing and flirtacious as a barista, and ends up being quite popular with the working women who frequent the shop. he puts up posters for all the school productions he's involved in on the community bulletin board in his expresso bar, and a lot of his customers do show up.

he ids as gay and bigender, both of which are a secret from his family, or at least he thinks theyre a secret. when he comes out to his mother as gay in third year, she tells him that she'd had her suspicions since he was in junior high, but didn't want to be pushy or presumptuous.

between working part time, being involved in school productions, and actual classwork, dennis does not get a whole lot of sleep, and is pretty hard to get ahold of for social events. despite that, he manages to show up to almost every queer alliance meeting at least for half an hour, and a lot of sawatari's parties as well. he drives an old orange beetle with several dents and only one working headlight.

i am not really sure what i want to do with sora's backstory? i feel like they're also from a military family

yuugo and rin grew up in the same orphanage. they went to a very low-income school. yuugo was sort of a class clown, and was well-liked but not well-respected in school. he has been and still is known to shoplift, despite rin's disapproval. their orphanage was near the auto district of the city, and they both grew into a fascination with motorcycles. as kids, they would spend their afterschool hours peering at the repair shop up the street.

as they got older, the workers there grew familiar with them, and would show them tricks or ask them for small favours. when theyre 16, they both start working there parttime. the guys tell them that theyre free to apprentice there when they graduate, and that they can sponsor them for basic certification, but theyre both too ambitious to agree to it. the shop workers are all low income, living in the shambled apartment complexes nearby. they work long hours and many of them keep trucking through workplace injuries.

yuugo and rin both respect them deeply, but starry-eyed with the self-made-man myth of american capitalism, theyre determined to get full degrees instead of basic certification, and find jobs designing and testing motorcycles for major companies, rather than repairing them. the guys at the shop are supportive, and joke that they better send them money once theyre rich and successful. they both get into the v on scholarship, though rin manages a full scholarship while yuugo's is only partial.

yuugo tries very hard to get part-time work at one of new yarmouth's garages, but with only informal training, no one is willing to hire him. he's immensely resentful of it, and eventually settles for working delivery at the pizza place closest to campus. its open until 3am, and he often takes the night shift.

A Mild-Mannered Woman From Washington Is The Democrats’ Deadliest Weapon

WASHINGTON A few weeks after the 2013 government shutdown, Sen. Patty Murray (D-Wash.) compared the Republicans in the House to the preschoolers she once taught. To deal with a bunch of fractious, obstreperous 4-year-olds, she said, you need a plan.

When Murray made her comparison, she was about to sit down with Rep.Paul Ryan(R-Wis.) in what turned out to be the only significant successful bipartisan budget negotiation Congress has managed since the shutdown.

Four years later, the House is still roiled by a crowd of sharp-elbowed and feuding Republican lawmakers who cant agree even on how to do the one thing they all say they want repeal Obamacare. But now, theres a new alpha boy atop their playground monkey bars.

President Donald Trump outdid them all, belittling, bullying and insulting his way to the Oval Office.

Murray is familiar with the personality type.

There is a bully in every classroom,Murray said this week. And the best way to teach other children in your preschool class that its not OK is to make it not OK.

That is precisely what Murray and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) are trying to do. Since there are only 48 senators on their side of the ledger, they lack the votes to beat back Trump and a raft of nominees that Democrats see as historically awful. What they can do is show the country and their Republican colleagues that its not OK. Murray is turning out to be Schumers deadliest weapon in that fight.

The greatest difficulty with that strategy is that Republicans dont especially want to be shown. None have been willing to admit even that nominees might lie to them, and voted to confirm two who at the very least said things that were not true. They confirmed Scott Pruitt as Environmental Protection Agency chief Friday, even knowing that they had not reviewedthousands of emails that had just been released related to his environmental lawsuits.

Still, there have been some notable successes from the Democrats perspective, particularly with nominees going through the Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee on which Murray serves as the top Democrat.

Chief among them is the withdrawal of labor secretary nominee Andrew Puzder, a fast-food maven who was fond of employing scantily clad women to peddle his Carls Jr. burgers, and whose restaurants have paid hundreds of thousands of dollars for labor and safety violations.

The salacious ads and history of labor law infractions probably were not the daggers that did in the labor nominee, however.

Ironically, his troubles started with a video created by a woman who Trump floated as a potential presidential running mate on the Reform Party ticket in 1988 Oprah Winfrey, via her TV show. Avideo from The Oprah Winfrey Show featured Puzders ex-wife dressed in disguise in 1990 to allege domestic abuse.

That she had gone on the program had been known since shortly after Puzders nomination, but Winfreys producers stonewalled media attempts to obtain the episode. The Oprah Winfrey Networks lawyers did temporarily provide a videotape to the HELP Committee that they refused to leave behind. Murray and her staff worked with committee Chairman Sen. Lamar Alexander (R-Tenn.) to make sure other senators saw it or at least had a chance to. Although Puzders former wife, Lisa Fierstein, later recanted the allegations, it had an impact. Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine) said that she had seen the tape and wanted to make it public.

Murray has made a habit of maintaining bipartisan relationships and working across the aisle, passing things like the rewrite of theNo Child Left Behind Act. A firm member of the Pantsuit Nation, and a politician who launched her Senate career as a mom in tennis shoes, she politely and privately wielded a stiletto against Puzder, offering trenchant insights into Puzders attitudes in private conversations with Republicans in hallways and on the Senate floor. One thing Puzder said in an interview was particularly disturbing to the handful of Republicans who were prepared to oppose him.

Someone asked him why he wanted to be secretary of labor, and he said that it would be the best job he could have with his clothes on, Murray said. I presented that to one Republican senator who said to me, quote, he doesnt get it, does he?

Whether it was specifically the video that felled Puzder can be debated. Revelations that he employed an undocumented immigrant as part of his household helpfor years hurt him with a number of conservative Republicans, as did Puzders advocacy for immigration reform.

For Murray, he was a walking highlight reel of all that is wrong with Trump.

This is a president who got elected after a video came out of him on the bus with Access Hollywood. When that happened, that was such a defining moment for many people, Murray said. But the people who voted for him said thats OK, he wont do this going forward. And yet to me his nominee shared many of those same sexist, horrible attitudes towards women.

Thats what I felt really took him down, and should have taken him down, she said.

Murray and the Democrats also scored a near miss with an especially focused strategy to question then-Education Department nominee Betsy DeVos.

The billionaire charter school advocate botched numerous questions that Murray and other Democrats on the HELP committee had prepared in advance, and then followed up on. Especially glaring was DeVos lack of understanding of federal disability laws, exposed when Sen. Maggie Hassan (D-N.H.) asked how her own disabled child would be able to get an education in one of the publicly funded charter schools that DeVos favors. DeVos did not understand that providers of public education are supposed to provide it to all of the public. Public schools spend significant resources to ensure disabled children get an education, and while charter schools are required to as well, they often fightthe requirement.

Other questions showed that she was unfamiliar with basic debates in the education community. She was also caught in a possible lie when she said she had nothing to do with her familys foundation giving $5 million to the anti-gay religious group Focus on the Family. Devos insisted it was all her mothers doing. Murray came back with a tax filing from the foundation that listed DeVos as a vice president. DeVos claimed it was a clerical error, but records showed she was listed in the position for 17 years.

DeVos terrible showing cost her two Republican votes, and for the first time in history, a vice president had to break a 50 to 50 tie in the Senate to confirm her.

None of that work to bring down those nominees was an accident, Murray said.

I felt from the beginning, this administration who I think expected to win was putting together a cabinet without doing the critical work that one should do at the cabinet in vetting people, in knowing what issues they might have, Murray said. So I directed my staff to do that with Betsy DeVos, with [Health and Human Services Secretary Tom] Price. And with Puzder.

Aides familiar with the strategy said that Murray vowed to do that vetting herself when she came back to Capitol Hill after the election. She reassigned a slew of policy staff and turned them into temporary investigators, churning out detailed memos that were then shared with other senators and their staff. No other committee appears to have done as thorough a dive into the backgrounds of the nominees coming before them.

Heading into the DeVos hearing, Murray made sure to coordinate Democratic questions, to avoid overlap and make sure effective follow ups were delivered. When, for instance, Hassan asked DeVos about her role in the Prince Foundation, and DeVos demurred, Hassan was able to pull out tax documents with her name on them.

As each new embarrassment and unflattering detail emerged, Schumer would often highlight them in his morning Senate floor speeches that the Democratic leaders then spread further in news conferences.

Since Democrats themselves changed the rules around nominations in 2013 to allow confirmations to pass on simple majority votes, theres little they can do beyond slowing down the process and trying to give the public enough time to see exactly who is ascending to power in the reign of Trump.

And Murray said she intends to keep showing why its not OK.

As I have had constituents tell me since the day of the election, Senate Democrats are the only barrier we have to fight back against things that arent right coming from a Republican administration, Senate and House, Murray said. So, were it. We started working from day one to be the people who take that role on.
