#and their takeout is...questionable

It's constantly mentioned that food in the army is shit. Honestly actual British food (AND IM TALKING WHITE WHITE) sounds really... boring 😭
What do you think are the boys' favorite meals? Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner... and of course dessert 😂
Bonus: WHATS YOURS?~
Okay, I will say, as an American of course I am biased towards American foods because that's what I grew up eating and I'm used to. But...there are some British foods that do look really good. I would die to try Yorkshire pudding and some authentic British fish and chips just once. A scone with real clotted cream and jam? Sign me the fuck up.
Anyway lol. I feel like they all enjoy a good Full English breakfast. Of course Soap will be partial to the Full Scottish, but they're fairly similar from what I can see so I feel like he'd suffer through it lmaoo. Definitely porridge guys (just cause that's the best tasting thing in the mess for breakfast lmaoo)
Price I could see as a steak and kidney pudding man. He definitely likes all the "stereotypical British foods" lmaoo.
Simon's a pie and mash man. It looks like an absolute sensory nightmare to me, but he eats it and enjoys it.
Gaz I think likes the classics that take him back to his childhood. Toad in the hole, curry, trifle. Definitely had Beef Wellington every Christmas.
Soap eats haggis just to prove how Scottish he is. Make him a bowl of Scotch Broth and he'll marry you on the spot.
We all know what their favorite dessert is 😏
My favorite food? I love a good hamburger. There's a local place where I live that makes a bacon, pickle, peanut butter sauce burger. It sounds gross but it's so good 😋 my favorite dessert is cheesecake. Especially strawberry cheesecake with real strawberries.

rules of loki's conjuration magic
what can and can't he conjure up?
we know he can conjure fireworks, we see kid loki conjure up a sword, and loki summons that blanket him and sylvie cuddle under. but when it comes to conjuring the tickets for the train on lamentis, he couldn't do it.
my interpretation has always been "he can conjure stuff that he can picture" which SOUNDS pretty solid in theory- after all, a blanket and fireworks are pretty easy to imagine, and he never saw the tickets, so there's no way for him to know what they look like
but also that opens the door to the same problem that people encounter when trying to draw a duck from memory, which is that it turns out ducks are kinda hard to remember all the details of, and he would end up with a weird sort of duck creature but not quite an actual one
(although i used duck for this example just because it is the first thing that came to mind, conjuring up living things seems like it would be its own kind of power akin to wanda's children- we never see loki conjure anything living beyond duplication casting, which is its own separate thing, so i don't THINK he could conjure a duck, but just walk with my example here. you think you know what a Thing looks like until you realize you don't.)
does the ability to conjure something come from visualizing it? or using it beforehand? had he known that blanket and therefore it was easy to summon up? where is it coming from? are the fireworks actually an illusion but the blanket and sword were Very Real?
is there a consensus or is this another topic of highly academic debate in the loki world?

for the OC asks!! 🍤 🥨 and 🍜 feel free to answer for whichever OC you want (but Henry is lowkey my fave hehe)
aww thank you so much for sending me questions!! 💜💙 i will definitely answer for henry - honestly, you're even reading my mind here because i was just telling myself the other day i should do more with him outside his role in the story. he's a fun character; i have a soft spot for him, too, and this is a good opportunity to dive into his personality and tastes a bit more 😅
🍤 what's their opinion on seafood?
he loves seafood! it's his favorite type of food, really, and if he were dying tomorrow and could have only one last meal, he'd want haemul kalguksu aka seafood noodle soup 🍽️
🥨 brunch picnic time with friends/partner(s)/companions/[insert your ocs' close people here]! what is your oc bringing?
i need to make a picnic post omg that would be so cute
anyway, the thing about henry is that he is comically bad at cooking 🙈 he and soobin have a mutually beneficial arrangement that she will do all the cooking, provided he does all the cleaning, so henry is never going to roll up to a picnic with homemade food, not unless you want burnt toast and very haphazardly chopped fruit.
however, what he *can* do well is make drinks. he's the kind of person who uses a french press and buys coffee that isn't ground up yet. he has high standards, that is. so, i think he'd show up to brunch with a variety of iced drinks, like coffee, tea, mocktails, etc., anything that keeps well in pitchers or kettles. he'd probably bring one of those letterboards, too, and use it as a daily drink menu sign!
🍜 do they love cooking dinner or would they rather eat somewhere else or order takeout?
for reasons (see above), he is not a fan of cooking! he's happy to, you know, set timers and measure out spices for soobin or someone else while they cook, but if it's just henry at home alone or soobin is either not in the mood or unable to cook, he is undoubtedly going out to eat or getting takeout. he'll go out to sit-down restaurants if soobin or a friend more generally are down to go with him (he's also not a fan of going to restaurants alone), but if no one is available or doesn't feel like it, he'll just get takeout.

if anyone wonders why my groceries cost so much 1. well the cost of living around paris is bonkers if im honest 2. i get groceries for the whole month (approximately) & also account for other people who live in the house (who never account for Me but i digress) & even then i mostly eat one meal a day as opposed to multiple a day which you're supposed to do 3. i am desperately trying to get more nutrients in an attempt at not being exhausted constantly & so far it hasn't been working but i keep my hopes up

Hi hi, Luce!! ✨ I have some little questions about agency stuff! I might be a bit of a fool, but I wanted to ask what the voice distortion mechanisms in the comms system were for. Wouldn't CC want to confirm it's the agent in question speaking to them? And wouldn't the agents come into contact with CC members in-person in HQ anyways? I was also curious about what would happen if a civvie got caught up in maybe an operation gone-wrong. Sees things go down and all... Would they try to recruit? 🌻
Hi Daye!! Asking questions that in all honesty did not have a well thought out answer before, but! I can make it make sense <3
The voice distortion is optional, it's an additional security measure for agents who's civilian life may be a bit more public/ who just want to go the extra careful mile. For recognition there's still codes that regularly change that are used in lieu of greetings, because in a world with animatronics and also just general voice recordings, especially fast advancing voiced AI, just the voice wouldn't quite be enough to confirm their identity anyway!
For Field Agent Robin, they use it because they like feeling important and mysterious, and CC Robin is simply too terrified of messing up again, so they cover all their bases.
Dusk and Dawn in both cases are newbies and stick to the rules, especially since the agency is still kind of testing them, so they also go the extra mile!
They don't meet at HQ, the offices for field agents and the command center aren't quite in the same area, and Dusk/ Dawn as CC agents wouldn't really need to leave their post until their shift ends, and Robin is still just a recluse who simply doesn't mingle with other agents when they can avoid it. CC Robin even more so, given that they feel like they deserve better than CC but feeling slighted by other field agents.
For a civilian caught up during a mission fallout, well... It depends.
Is this a person of potential interest? Are they a witness to vital information? They may not get recruited per se, but will be brought in for questioning, debriefing, and then protection while conveniently legally binding them to a couple NDAs and ensuring that they don't have any evidence except their own memory. Their word against the agency is simply not a threat (:
Is this person someone who actively interfered on the agency's behalf, showing a decent talent for this kind of stuff beside their quick thinking? They might get recruited as a regular agent! They'll still have to go through training, and will have to sign even more NDAs, but they get a nice paying job and health insurance as a perk!
Is this someone who makes things actively more difficult for the agents on scene? Or someone who refuses to sign the NDAs? They, uh... They might be handled a bit roughly, actually. The agency is a private one and is not above illegal methods, though they're careful to not leave behind any evidence. They're not above ruining someone's entire credibility with planted scandals either, just in case someone decides to talk to the press, and hush money is something they're quite familiar with, though law enforcement is bribed more often than a random civilian (implications intended - police may not follow up on a "poor lunatics" claim of secret agencies and violent blackmail, whoops)
For witnesses to "harmless" things like simply an agent parkouring past, or rushing out of a definitely supposed to be locked building, often the consequence is nothing - it's a big city, and many people simply shrug and don't assume responsibility. Not their circus, not their monkeys. And so the agency remains in the shadows!

This isn't worth reblogging it again to point out but the number of people talking about cooking and leftovers on that post really highlight the average reading comprehension on the site as it specifies takeout and purchased within the first five words.
