pairing: drew starkey x you ft brooke starkey
summary: when you and brooke decide to pull a prank on drew during a casual saturday lunch at his house, it’s all in good fun. drew’s protective streak as both a big brother to brooke and a boyfriend to you has always been one of his most endearing and amusing qualities. so, when you drop a casual bombshell about having a “male waxer” at the spa, drew’s reaction is priceless. shock, confusion, and hilariously protective instincts take over as he tries to process this unexpected bit of news.
warning(s): english is not my native language. light humor, playful pranks, and drew’s classic overprotective antics, no use of y/n.
au: like, reblog and feedback are very much appreciated. please be nice, thank you and enjoy.

Drew was in high spirits as he set the table for lunch, a relaxed grin on his face. He’d spent so many months on set for Outer Banks, and it was clear he was thrilled to unwind with the people he cared most about. Little did he know, you and Brooke were about to test just how protective he could get.
As you and Brooke shared a mischievous look across the table, you kicked off the prank.
“Hey, Brooke,” you began casually, glancing at Drew to see if he was listening, “thanks for recommending that spa the other day! It was, uh… an experience.”
“Oh, you finally went!” Brooke said, playing along perfectly.
“How was it? I told you they’re really good, right?”
You nodded, trying to keep a straight face.
“Yeah, they assigned me a guy for the wax. Super professional and all, but, you know, unexpected.”
Drew’s fork froze halfway to his mouth, his eyes snapping to you, wide with surprise.
“Wait… a guy? Like, for… the wax?” He looked genuinely baffled, trying to process this information.
You fought so hard keep your expression neutral, nodding casually.
“Yeah, he was great at it, honestly. Didn’t feel a thing. Super smooth process.”
Drew’s face morphed from confusion to full-on disbelief. He put his fork down slowly, his mouth opening and closing as he searched for words.
“Wait… you mean… like a full wax? By a… guy? That’s even legal?”
You shrugged, pretending not to notice his growing panic. “Yeah! Brooke goes there too. And of course it was legal”
Brooke jumped in, barely able to suppress her grin.
“Oh, yeah, I get a guy a few time. They’re just more efficient, you know? Totally professional.”
Drew’s jaw practically dropped. He looked from Brooke to you, then back to Brooke, struggling to comprehend this new reality.
“Wait, Brooke… you, too? Both of you… by some random guy?”
You could see the protectiveness flaring in his eyes. Drew was always so protective of both of you, and he looked like he was about to burst with a mix of confusion, disbelief, and was that a hint of jealousy? not sure.
“Yeah, babe, it’s not a big deal,” you added, feigning nonchalance as you twirled your fork in your pasta.
“He was a total pro, super respectful.”
Drew’s eyes narrowed.
“Respectful or not, that’s still… strange, right?” He looked at Brooke, hoping she’d agree with him.
“I mean, you don’t think that’s, like… kind of weird?”
Brooke shook her head, acting entirely unbothered. “Nope. Honestly, it’s easier you know they don’t make a big deal out of anything, and they’re more… what’s the word; thorough.”
Drew looked absolutely bewildered, his eyes flicking between you and Brooke as if waiting for one of you to reveal it was all a joke.
“Wait… thorough? What… what does that even mean? And how is that not weird?” He turned to you, looking betrayed.
“And why didn’t you tell me about this?” He asked.
You raised an eyebrow, trying to hide your smile.
“I mean, Drew, it’s a spa treatment, not a big deal. It’s not like I’d come home and say, ‘Hey, I got waxed by a guy today.’ with a very proud face on.”
“But maybe you should have!” Drew said, crossing his arms with a pout. “I thought we told each other everything.”
“Oh, come on,” Brooke teased, nudging him with her elbow. “Don’t be so overprotective, Drew. It’s just a wax.”
Drew’s face was priceless with half annoyed, half helplessly confused.
“I’m not being overprotective, I’m just… I mean… come on!”
He ran a hand through his hair, looking genuinely baffled.
“This is just… I can’t believe both of you think this is totally fine.”
You and Brooke exchanged a glance, both struggling to keep from bursting out in laughter.
“Oh, Drew,” you sighed, leaning over to give him a reassuring pat on the shoulder.
“He’s a professional. I didn’t even feel anything, it was so quick and easy.”
“‘Didn’t feel anything’?!” Drew repeated, looking even more scandalized.
“I don’t care if it was painless! It was still a guy, right? Like, a random guy?”
Brooke grinned, piling on, “Oh, he’s not random. I think his name was… Carlos?”
“Oh, mine was Vincent, he’s Italian by the way.” You said
Drew’s face turned red.
“Carlos?! and Vincent?! So he’s got a name now? You ladies on a first-name basis with these guy who… I mean…” He trailed off, clearly struggling to articulate his thoughts.
“Does this Carlos, Vincent know I exist?”
You bit your lip, feigning a thoughtful look. “Honestly, I didn’t mention you. But maybe next time?”
Drew groaned, burying his face in his hands. “Next time? Oh, come on, you’re kidding me.”
“Drew, calm down,” Brooke said, barely containing her laughter.
“We’re just trying to live our best, smooth-legged lives here. Can you blame us?”
Drew looked at her with an exasperated expression. “Yeah, but does that really have to include some guy named whatever his name is? You know, it’s kind of my job to protect you both from… well… guys like that!”
At that, you couldn’t hold it in any longer. You and Brooke burst into laughter, doubling over as Drew continued to stare at you both in utter disbelief.
“Wait… are you two… Are you serious?” Drew asked, the realization slowly dawning on him as he watched you both laughing uncontrollably.
“Oh my god, you’re messing with me, aren’t you?”
He continue, “Oh, yes you are, and it’s not fun ladies”
Through your laughter, you managed to say, “Yes, Drew! There’s no Carlos or Vincent! It’s a prank!”
Drew let out a sigh of relief, slumping back in his chair, though he couldn’t help but laugh along with you.
“Oh, you two are evil. Seriously, I’ve been through a lot on set, and this is what I come home to?”
You wiped a tear from your eye, grinning. “Well, we missed you, so we thought we’d welcome you back with some… excitement.”
Drew chuckled, shaking his head as he reached over to pull you into a playful hug.
“Excitement, huh? You know, payback’s coming for both of you. I’m just warning you now.”
“Oh, we’re ready,” Brooke teased, crossing her arms with a smirk. “Hit us with your best shot, Drew.”
Drew rolled his eyes, unable to keep from smiling.
“You two are lucky I love you, because if anyone else pulled something like that on me…” He shook his head, feigning a serious look.
“Carlos and Vincent, though? Really?”
You laughed, leaning your head on his shoulder. “We knew that would get you. What a sexy name for a man”
“Yeah, well, it did,” he admitted, sighing as he gave you a playful squeeze.
“But next time, I’m not falling for it. Just so you know.”
“Oh, we’ll see about that,” you said, grinning.

#DAN FENG
+ wait… since when are you guys married?!
dan feng? i just know he’s gonna mess this shit up so badly. he’s the high elder, but also the epitome of boyfailure. he really can’t help it, those terms of endearment just slip out so easily when you're by his side.
and it doesn’t stop there. he’s completely oblivious to the shocked silence and wide-eyed stares from others; for example, he might be holding your hand absentmindedly while discussing serious matters, and only snaps back to reality when you cough awkwardly.
but unfortunately, it’s not that simple when the gang (re: high cloud quintet) find out about your relationship. disclaimer: chaos ensues
dan feng immediately sits up upon seeing you enter the room, a fresh batch of tea brewing in hand. the discussion among the group gradually fades into the background as his eyes trail your figure while you carefully pour tea into each person’s teacup.
the piquant aroma fills his senses, and he can’t stop a small smile from creeping across his face when you take a seat next to him. he takes a sip, the delicate flavor enveloping his taste buds, leaving behind a delightful aftertaste that lingers long after the tea is swallowed.
“—thus we require a substantial amount of time, speaking of which, anything on your end dan feng?”
he finds himself watching you out of the corner of his eye. “imbibitor lunae…?” and it’s almost impossible for him to tear his gaze away from you.
“hello? dan feng?” he snaps back to reality, blinking a few times before processing the initial question. “a-ahem, yes. darling, could you pass me the report?” he says, turning to your side.
the room falls silent, and a shocked gasp escapes from baiheng's mouth before jingliu clasps a hand over it; jing yuan shifts in his seat, exchanging a bewildered glance with yingxing.
“hm..? did you forget to bring it?” his tone is soft and gentle, a stark contrast to the shocked expression on everyone’s face. “are you alright my dear? your face is quite red, do y—”
before he can finish, you manage to find your voice, trying to mask your embarrassment with a strained smile. “no, i didn’t forget the report, and i’m perfectly fine…  though our friends might need a minute to recover.”
baiheng, still wide-eyed, blurts out, “hold on, are you guys… in a relationship?”
dan feng blinks in confusion ”oh, did i forget to mention that part?” —to which you hear someone across the table audibly facepalm.
you sigh, voice strained but laced with amusement, “i can’t believe you never told them we got married.” your words are followed by the sound of a cup shattering on the floor.
“wait… since when are you guys married?!” you pat jingyuan’s back, trying to stifle a laugh. “since last year.”
“seriously, and you never thought of telling us.”
“it was an honest mistake, yingxing.” dan feng replies, crossing his arms defensively.
baiheng shakes her head, “an honest mistake? like forgetting to water your plants, not like forgetting to tell us you got married!”
“well congratulations, i suppose. though a heads-up would’ve been nice.” jingliu manages a wry smile, though she internally cringes at baiheng’s exaggerated (or not) reaction, opting to just let her be.
"sorry, it slipped my mind.” dan feng's nonchalant shrug only serves to further fuel jingyuan's irk, his eye visibly twitching; yingxing lets out a groan, still reeling from the revelation. you can’t help but chuckle softly at the scene unfolding, taking a sip of your tea.
“you weren’t planning to tell us at all?!”
"honest mistake."  you can tell he’s just teasing his friends by the way a small smirk appears on his face as he attempts to hide it behind his teacup. (you nearly had to restrain baiheng as she tried to leap over the table.)
well, it seems like you’re not going to get anything done today.
#BLADE
+ easy, just buy me a nice ring and leave the lying part to me.
please. if you had a penny for every time blade almost exposes that you’re dating, you’d have three pennies. which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened thrice.
the first time was when he received a call from you while in the car with firefly. he answered almost immediately, without realizing that wearing earphones does not necessarily mean he isn't able to be heard in real life, just that others can’t hear what he’s listening to.
“went to boomerville n the locals said they knew u” —silverwolf, probably.
second was when someone confessed their feelings to you, and he “instinctively” jumped in to say you have a husband. "what husband? i don't see a ring on your finger." so now, that same man won't stop asking you about this so-called “husband” (that doesn’t exist).
and third time, well we’ll see.
“are you sure you don’t want me to kill him.”
you huff out in annoyance, “this wouldn’t even be an issue if you hadn’t mentioned i had a husband.” sighing, you push yourself off the bed and turn to face your boyfriend.
“...that aside, how exactly do you plan on handling him?” blade raises an eyebrow, a hint of amusement in his gaze. “easy! just buy me a nice ring, and leave the lying part to me.”
if blade hadn’t seriously considered taking care of the man before, he certainly seems determined to do so now. “hey what’s with that reaction…”
blade’s eyes narrow as he takes in your response. “a ring huh, what are you going to do with it?” you roll your eyes, trying to stifle a smile. “what else? pretend i have a husband.”
he sighs, “is this really the best solution you can come up with?” (he really doesn't like the idea of you having a husband…that isn’t him, fake or not)  “yup!” you reply with a grin, “i’ll be eagerly awaiting the ‘surprise’!” with that, you plant a quick kiss on his cheek and swiftly exit the room.
oh you’re lucky he loves you. (even though this is totally, 100% his fault)
“hmm, bladie? why the sudden interest in jewellery?” kafka smirks, curiosity dancing in her eyes. blade chooses to stay silent, picking out the most expensive ring; and kafka’s expression only broadens with amusement as she watches his intense scrutiny of the display.
“planning something special, are we?” she teases, leaning closer. “or are you just trying to impress someone?”
blade finally glances up, his face inscrutable. “just taking care of business.” he replies tersely, slipping the ring onto the counter along the pile of designer jackets.
“right… well, i’ll be interested to see how this turns out.”
“what?” the man in front of you asks, his confusion evident.
you tilt your head slightly, trying to gauge his reaction. “you seem surprised. did you think i was joking?” you casually brush a strand of hair away, subtly flaunting the ring to him —and to any onlookers; trying not to crack a smile when you hear a loud gasp followed by a flurry of hushed whispers.
he grits his teeth, clearly embarrassed and humiliated by the commotion. “i didn’t expect you to be married… especially since you never wear the ring.”
“or is it that you’re not all that attached to your husband?” the audacity of this man… just as you’re at a loss of words, a firm hand grips the man’s shoulder from behind.
blade yanks the man back, and away from you. “you’re pushing your luck.”  the sudden motion causes the man to stumble, his face pale with a mix of surprise and fear.
“w-who the hell are you?!” the man’s voice trembles as he tries to regain his composure. meanwhile, you notice a crowd beginning to form around you, with some people eagerly pulling out their phones to record the escalating drama.
“leave, now.” you can tell blade’s patience is wearing thin, dangerously so.
the man’s eyes narrow in defiance. “why should i? you’re the one to talk when you’re hiding behind a disguise.” blade pins the man with a steely gaze, his intense stare making the man stiffen under its weight.
but what you didn’t expect was for blade to turn around, remove his mask and letting it dangle from one ear; he then raises your hand to his lips, placing a tender kiss upon it.
the man’s face immediately drains of colour, and the crowd around you erupts into a cacophony of gasps and murmurs. you’re not sure whether he's more shocked by blades' bold gesture or by the fact that a notorious criminal is standing right in front of him. (its the latter)
the man, now visibly shaken, scrambles away, yelling out a “sorry!” before disappearing into the crowd. blade pulls you away, ignoring the flashes of cameras and ducks into a nearby alley.
the next morning, you wake up to a barrage of notifications on your phone. you discover the group chat flooded with messages from your friends.
“@barcodewrist @[you] explain yourselves”
“Bladie, so that was what the ring was for~”
“bro i cant believe this old ass man has rizz”
you quickly type out a message asking for context, in which you only receive a link from silverwolf. as you click in, you can’t help but wish you can unsee what’s on the screen.
“‘YOUR NAME’, IDENTIFIED IN ASSOCIATION WITH STELLARON HUNTER ‘BLADE’: WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE. BOUNTY SET AT 3.5 BILLION.” and attached below is a video of what transpired yesterday.
“great” you mutter under your breath, “not only am i dating a wanted criminal, now i'm one too.” you shoot a quick message to the group chat “any tips on staying out of trouble when your boyfriend’s a fugitive? asking for a friend... and my sanity.”
on the bright side, at least you’ll be greeted by a very pleased blade, now publicly acknowledged as your husband —oh and don’t question the second ring on your finger.
#JING YUAN
+ stop you're not allowed to smile at me like that. / like what?
how do i even start. he’s so smug, please throw a rock at him and wipe that “:3” off his face.
you really do sometimes wonder if jing yuan ever truly intended to keep this relationship a secret, especially by how he practically transforms into a lovesick puppy whenever you’re within a 10 meter radius.
goodluck because he's also such a tease, an insufferable one. despite that, you can’t deny there’s something endearing about how he always seems to light up when you’re around, his constant teasing remarks making it harder to stay mad whenever you call him out for being “too lax”.
after all, he may be a headache, but he’s your headache —one that comes with a hefty dose of affection and a penchant for making every single moment spent together memorable.
being the general’s secretary, and his lover isn’t an easy job.
you’re focused on the task before you; reviewing documents, scheduling meetings, coordinating logistics for high-stakes missions —ensuring no crucial information slips through the cracks.
but you can’t help but feel a pair of eyes boring into you. it’s a subtle sensation, a weight that pulls your awareness away from the task at hand. you glance up from your desk, only to be met by jing yuan’s gaze, fixed on you with an intensity that makes your pulse quicken.
“jing yuan, what are you doing?” you ask, but he doesn’t answer. though a smile slowly spreads across his face as he continues to watch you. his overwhelming stare makes it difficult to concentrate…
and worse? he looks utterly and hopelessly in love.
“stop, you're not allowed to smile at me like that.” the words come out softer than intended; he leans in slightly, the warmth in his expression only deepening.
“and why not?” he asks, his voice carries a hint of amusement. the twinkle in his eyes suggests that he knows exactly what he’s doing, and it only adds to your annoyance.
“because” you reply, trying to sound exasperated, “you’re looking at me as if you’re in love with me or something!” —and your handsome face makes it impossible to focus.
jing yuan’s smile only widens, clearly enjoying your reaction. “is that so? i didn’t realise my smile had such an effect on you.” (you hope his pants catch on fire because he’s obviously lying about being unaware of the effect his presence has on you)
“and i am in love with you.”
that, in fact, did not ease the fluttering in your chest. “shh!” you quickly cover his mouth with your hand; you hold your grip for a moment longer, feeling the warmth of his breath against your palm.
“hmm… so i can't even look at my beloved partner now?” his voice comes out slightly muffled and distorted due to your playful assault on his face. you give his cheek one last, harsh pinch before finally letting him go.
you heave a sigh of relief once you’re sure no one heard anything, you loosen your grip but keep your palm resting on his face. with a playful pinch, you squeeze his cheek. “you tease!” you furrow your brows, though a small smile tugs at your lips despite your effort to remain stern.
you shake your head with a smile, “do you have any idea how hard it is to stay focused when you’re looking at me like that?” the admission slips out before you can stop it, and you feel a flush rise to your cheeks.
“i know,” he replies with a grin, “and i wouldn’t change a thing.”
jing yuan rests his chin on his hand, his elbow propped up on your desk; the warmth of his gaze and the cheeky grin on his face makes it hard to stay frustrated at him.
“you’re impossible,” you say with a mock scowl, though your tone carries a lighthearted edge. “but it’s also hard to stay mad at you.”
he chuckles softly, clearly pleased with your reaction. he leans in a bit more, his eyes sparkling with mischief. “oh? then would you like to head out—”
“you wish.” you cut him off with a deadpan look, “that stack of papers has been sitting there since this morning, and it’s not going to magically sort itself out.”
you gesture toward the mountain of documents on your desk, which has only grown throughout the day. he sighs, settling himself comfortably into the seat beside you. you pick up your pen as you try to regain your focus again amidst the lingering warmth of his presence.
this time, you really do consider throwing a rock at him when his head falls on your shoulder as he dozes off just five minutes later.
but hey, at least he makes it clear that he’s head over heels for you, even if it comes with a side of embarrassment, and a few near heart attacks.

Tumblr media
“I have no idea what her problem is with me,” you mutter under your breath, your eyes flicking toward Jada, who’s glaring at you like she’d love nothing more than to see you vanish. Her gaze lingers, intense and filled with something close to hatred.
You turn back to Rafe, irritation bubbling up as you try to make sense of the tension hanging in the air. Rafe glances over lazily, his eyes briefly scanning Jada before he scoffs, almost amused by the situation. He leans back casually, grabbing a handful of popcorn from the bowl between you and tossing it into his mouth without a second thought.
“Probably ‘cause she was trying to get into my pants before we started dating,” he mumbles through a mouthful, barely caring to mask the indifference in his voice. Your body stiffens, eyes widening as you process what he just said. “Are you serious?” you snap, crossing your arms and staring at him, bewildered.
“And you didn’t think I should know this?” Rafe slows his chewing, his brow arching slightly as he swallows. His reaction is calm, almost too calm.“Didn’t think it was worth mentioning. She’s irrelevant babe,” he shrugs, his voice annoyingly nonchalant. “I don’t give a fuck about her.”
You turn to look at Jada again, and this time she isn’t even pretending to hide the jealousy etched across her face. She’s whispering furiously to her best friend, the sorority president, her eyes flicking between you and Rafe with an almost desperate need for attention. The way her eyes follow Rafe, hungry and spiteful, makes the knot in your stomach tighten.
She’s clearly still bitter, and her gaze shifts between you and Rafe like she’s daring you to flaunt what she can’t have. It’s more than just resentment—it’s envy, glaringly obvious, and you can feel her simmering frustration from across the room. Frustration swells inside you, and without thinking, you reach for Rafe’s hand, gripping it firmly.
“Let’s get out of here,” you murmur, not wanting to feed into Jada’s petty game, but unable to shake the discomfort gnawing at you. Before Rafe can say anything, you grab his hand, pulling him up from the couch. His surprise shows for a second, but he follows your lead, letting you drag him away.
~
“Fuck off,” Rafe growls at the sound of a knock on his door, still half-asleep and annoyed as he shifts under the blankets. His arm gently moves you off him, and you let out a soft whine, instantly missing the warmth and security of his body pressed against yours. He sighs as the knocking persists, louder this time, more insistent.
“I’m coming!” he yells, frustration evident in his tone as he clumsily pulls his boxers up his legs, running a hand through his disheveled hair. He’s barely awake, his movements sluggish, but the incessant knocking has him on edge. Just as Rafe reaches for the door, he pauses, his hand hovering over the knob.
A frown crosses his face. It wouldn’t be any of his frat brothers—they’d all gone home for the long weekend. Suspicion sharpens his senses, and he leans toward the peephole, squinting as he peers through it. His gut twists the moment he sees who’s on the other side, Alice, your sorority president, and Jada.
“Shit,” he mutters, backing away from the door. He hurries back to the bed, his hand reaching for your shoulder as he shakes you gently. “Babe, hey. Wake up,” he whispers urgently, trying to keep calm as you groan, still half-lost in sleep. “Jada and Alice are outside,” he says, his voice low but urgent.
The words barely sink in before you’re wide awake, panic flooding your system. “What?” you whisper, your voice strained with disbelief as you sit up, your heart racing. In an instant, you’re scrambling to grab your clothes, your mind spinning. “What are they doing here?” you hiss, pulling your jeans up your legs in a rush.
Your fingers fumble as you try to fasten them, your breath quickening with every second. Rafe’s hands are already on your back, tying up the straps of your top with quick, precise movements. “Fucked if I know,” he mutters, glancing toward the door. The knocking continues, sharper and more demanding this time, as Jada’s voice echoes through the room.“Rafe, open up! We know you’re in there!”
Jada calls out, her tone laced with impatience, as if she’s holding some kind of authority over him.“Fuck,” you mutter under your breath, cursing the situation. The last thing you need is Jada and Alice catching you here—especially like this. Your mind races with the possibilities of why they’ve shown up now, of all times. Rafe turns to you, his hands resting on your arms as he tries to steady you.
His eyes are calm but serious. “Just hide in the bathroom. I’ll deal with them,” he says firmly, his voice low and reassuring despite the situation. You nod, heart pounding in your chest, and quickly dart toward the bathroom, quietly closing the door behind you. Locking it, you press your ear to the wood, your breath held as you strain to hear what’s happening.
You hear Rafe sigh heavily before he opens the door, his voice low and tense as he greets Jada and Alice. The muffled sound of their conversation seeps through the door, but it’s hard to make out the words clearly. Your stomach twists as you wait, hoping that whatever they want, Rafe can get rid of them without making things worse.
Rafe opens the door just enough to stand in the doorway, leaning against the frame with a bored, unimpressed look on his face. He eyes Jada and Alice, his expression indifferent as he sizes them up. “Can I help you?” he asks dryly, making it clear from the start that he has no interest in whatever they’re about to say.
Jada and Alice exchange a quick glance, their irritation barely hidden beneath thin smiles. Alice, with her usual fake sweetness, steps forward, her voice dripping with insincerity. “Is Y/n here by any chance?” she asks, flashing Rafe the overly saccharine smile she gives to everyone. He sees right through it—he knows exactly how two-faced she really is.
Rafe lets out a short, amused snort, crossing his arms. “Wouldn’t you like to know,” he replies with a smirk, clearly enjoying himself. Jada opens her mouth to say something, but he cuts her off before she can get a word in. “No, she’s not here. Why do you even care?” He raises an eyebrow, his voice sharp with challenge.
Alice, not backing down, continues with the same fake concern. “She wasn’t in her room while we were doing our rounds last night, and her roommate said she never came back,” she explains, though her tone lacks genuine worry. Rafe can barely stop himself from rolling his eyes. It’s clear they’re just fishing for information, and their excuse is weak at best.
“What, you have curfews on a Friday night?” Rafe deadpans, his tone dripping with sarcasm. He watches as the annoyance flickers across their faces, and he takes pleasure in knowing he’s getting under their skin. Alice forces a tight-lipped smile, her patience clearly wearing thin.
“Yeah, to make sure everyone is home safe and sound,” she says, her voice still maintaining that fake sweetness, though Rafe can hear the underlying frustration. “Right, sure,” Rafe mutters, clearly not buying it. He shifts his weight and straightens up, his disinterest obvious. “Well, like I said, she’s not here,” he says flatly.
The two girls stand in tense silence for a moment. Rafe can see a flicker of something—perhaps jealousy or frustration—behind Jada’s eyes, and it intrigues him. He watches as Alice turns, clearly ready to leave this awkward encounter behind, but Jada’s sudden outburst catches her off guard.
“What do you even see in her, anyway?” Her sudden outburst catches Alice by surprise, and she glances back at Jada with wide eyes. Rafe raises an eyebrow, genuinely surprised by her boldness. “Jada, let’s just go. She’s not here,” Alice mutters, her hand gently squeezing Jada’s arm, as if trying to ground her. Rafe can’t resist interjecting. “Yeah, Jada. She’s not here,” he mocks, a smirk playing on his lips as he leans casually against the doorframe.
Rafe’s disdain for Jada is palpable, and he relishes the chance to get under her skin. The flush of anger spreads quickly across her cheeks, her fists clenching at her sides as if holding back an explosion of frustration. The heat radiates off her in waves, her glare sharp and unyielding, her eyes narrowing with contempt.
“You think you’re so clever, don’t you?” she snaps, her voice bitter, teetering on the edge of desperation. Her gaze burns into him, full of resentment. “You think you can just parade around with her like she’s some prize to be won. What makes her so special?”
Rafe meets her gaze head-on, completely unfazed. He tilts his head slightly, the corner of his mouth lifting into a smirk. “Why are you so obsessed with my fucking girlfriend, Jada?” His voice cuts through the tension like a blade, catching her off guard for just a second. She falters, her posture stiffening at the unexpected challenge.
“This is clearly between you and me, so leave Y/n out of it,” Rafe continues, his tone sharp and unwavering. He steps closer, his expression darkening with warning. “You got a problem with me? Fine. But don’t drag her into whatever this is.”Jada’s eyes flash with frustration, her lips tightening as she struggles to maintain her composure.
She clearly wasn’t expecting Rafe to call her out so directly, and the protectiveness in his voice stings more than she wants to admit. “You think you can just blow me off like I’m nothing?” she hisses, her voice trembling slightly. “I see how you look at her, how you act like she’s so perfect, like she’s better than everyone else.” There’s a bitterness in her words, a jealousy she’s no longer able to hide.
Rafe raises an eyebrow, his smirk widening. “If you think this is about anything more than your own jealousy, you’re delusional,” he says bluntly. His tone is calm, almost amused, as if he’s thoroughly enjoying watching her squirm. “If you’ve got some fantasy that I ever wanted anything to do with you, that’s on you, not me.”
“Get over yourself. I don’t want you, and I never fucking did,” Jada opens her mouth, clearly intending to argue, but no words come out. For a moment, she’s frozen, her face a mixture of shock and hurt, as if she never expected him to be so blunt. The silence stretches, heavy and uncomfortable. Rafe leans back against the doorframe, crossing his arms with a lazy air of indifference. He knows he’s won.
“Why don’t you take your little jealousy trip somewhere else?” he says with a bored tone, as if she were nothing more than a minor inconvenience. His words only fuel her fury, but he doesn’t care—he’s already dismissed her in his mind. Jada’s fists tremble at her sides, her frustration bubbling just beneath the surface.
She glares at him one last time before spinning on her heel and storming off, her heels clicking angrily against the floor. Alice glances at Rafe for a moment, but she’s smart enough not to say anything. She shoots Rafe a scowl that could cut through steel, her frustration evident. “Leave Y/n alone. Don’t test me,” Rafe warns, his tone lowering to a menacing growl.
There’s no way he’ll allow them to interfere in your life, not when they’re so clearly motivated by envy. Alice opens her mouth, a retort on the tip of her tongue, but she hesitates, measuring the threat in his eyes. After a moment, she seems to reconsider, her expression darkening with resignation. With a heavy sigh, she shakes her head and turns on her heel, hastily following Jada down the hallway. Rafe watches them go, a sense of satisfaction washing over him.

Upon sneezing, you sounded remarkably like the cat that Xavier feeds outside the apartment. He paused mid-action, his expression inscrutable as he observed you wiping your nose with a handkerchief, curiosity flickering in his eyes.
“What…?” You asked, blinking at him in confusion.
“I thought I heard an actual kitten,” he replied, a hint of amusement in his voice. Xavier had a soft spot for kittens, often stopping to pet strays whenever he encountered them. He wouldn't even pull back if a kitten decided to nibble his finger.
“I didn’t know you were capable of mimicking a kitten,” he chuckled softly, the corners of his lips curving into a rare, gentle smile. His eyes softened, exuding a warmth that made your heart flutter. “It was very cute.”

“Are you alright?” Zayne's voice carried a tinge of concern as he glanced at you, his brow furrowing slightly. Before you could respond, you sneezed again, the high-pitched sound eerily similar to a kitten's meow. As a dedicated doctor, his initial worry was whether this was a respiratory problem, but the consistency of your sneezes reassured him it was just a quirky trait of yours.
“Drink water,” he murmured, gently rubbing your back in slow, soothing circles. With his other hand, he held a glass of water to your lips, which you gratefully sipped. “I’m worried that you might be catching a cold or an allergy.”
“No, I’m okay,” you reassured him, sniffing a bit.
“Mm.” Zayne subtly nodded at your words; his concern not entirely dispelled. Though he wouldn’t openly admit it, he found your sneezing adorable, its kitten-like quality endearing to someone who secretly had a soft spot for such creatures, like him.

“A-Achoo..!” Your sneeze, sounding like a tiny cat’s meow, made Rafayel flinch visibly. He wasn't fond of cats, a fact you were well aware of, but his reaction still caught you off guard.
He stared at you with wide eyes and a furrowed brow, looking genuinely bewildered. “Was that you?”
You wiped your nose, sniffling as you met his incredulous gaze. “Yeah, why?”
“…” His frown deepened as he slowly backed away, his expression a mix of concern and annoyance. “This is why you aren’t supposed to come near those fur-monsters! They’re already affecting you!”
“…” You rolled your eyes at his dramatic antics, only to notice him dialing something on his phone. Realization dawned as you saw he was calling an ambulance.
“Rafayel-!”

Hearing your adorable kitten-like sneeze, the first thing Sylus did was chuckle, his deep and raspy voice resonating throughout the room. He had been engrossed in a book just before you sneezed, but the unexpected sound captured his full attention.
“What was that?”
“What was what…? I sneezed…”
“Seems like I’ve been right all along,” he mused, his crimson eyes locking onto you with an amused glint. You frowned slightly, unsure of his meaning.
“You really are my kitten,” he declared, his voice laced with a possessive endearment that made your cheeks burn. His straightforward claim left you blushing profusely, his intense gaze making your heart race as he reaffirmed your place in his life.

travelers helper AU where is the reason why S/O is oblivious to all the men liking her is because every single time she showed an interested in a hot guy. They turned out to be gay, so she’s convinced herself that all of the men are gay and possibly even dating each other. (Couples she thinks are real are Alhaitham x Kaveh Cyno x Tinari Zongli x Childe Kaeya x Venti Nuvilet x woirthslie ) and I watched their reactions to finding out that she thinks they’re all gay
Ok this idea is funny xD But to anyone who like those ships, pls don't take it as some kind of hate towards those ships or something. --------- The guys are devastated after learning you think that they are into... each other. All of them wondering where did they make a mistake? Kaveh found it ridiculous, him and Alhaitham?! He wondered if you think so because they live in the same house? But there are many people who are friends and share homes… You even invite all your friends to live in your Teapot!! He really couldn't understand from where this idea came from… Is it because they bicker so much? But it didn't make sense to him!! Kaveh was anxious… do you not see him as a man or something? He is overthinking this whole thing. At this point he is debating whenever to show you his plans of the house he wants to make for you both in future.
Alhaitham was more clam about it, analyzing from where this idea may come. It's not like he and Kaveh were affectionate to each other and he couldn't recal any moment that could make you think like that about them. He will state that, no, he is not interested in Kaveh in such way (or anyone else, both guys and girls, that are not you) And yet you still say "That's okay! I won't judge! I will support whoever you love!" At this point Alhaitham may confess his feeling to you but the problem is that there is always someone by your side…if not Aether then other guys. And the worst thing is Kaveh always appears too, making the misunderstanding even worse.
Cyno at first thought this is some kind of joke. But after seeing that you're not joking he was bewildered. Why would you think so? "You two sometimes look like parents of Collei" Parents? But when they were in Mondstadt he was sure you heard how he and Tighnari bickered who would be the 'older brother'… right? Cyno was silent. Trying to come up with something that will make you believe him that he is interested in you. Because whenever he would say that, you would be "ah Cyno! Please don't joke like that!" he would never joke about things like this... The General Mahamatra for now tries to avoid talking to Tighnari when you are close…
Tighnari only furrowed his brows. Him and Cyno? Big nope!! Just imagining that he would hear more jokes from Cyno if they were together already gives him a headache. The Forest Ranger was getting more and more irritated that you for some reason don't want to accept when he says that there is nothing between him and Cyno. So he started to approach this in different way. Thankfully Cyno already was avoiding him when you are close. So he can now start to be even bolder with his affections towards you. If you still refuse to believe that he is attracted to you, then you may expect to hear a confession soon.
Zhongli asked you if you can repeat yourself. Oh? Him and Childe together? In romantic relationship? Zhongli was thinking where this came from…Is it because he often uses Childe's mora to buy things? But that was only that… and that Childe often bothers him so they could spar. Ah. Maybe this was the reason, maybe you think that 'sparings' are something different. Humans are truly interesting. He will ask you why you think so, patiently listening to your explanation. He is amused by this.
Childe laughed, but after seeing you are not laughing he stopped and said "Wait...are you serious?" He will say that there is nothing between them, even says that he prefers girls (to hint that he likes you) but you responded with "It's okay! You don't have to hide it! I accept you and I'm sure your family will accept this as well!" You're cute…. but why don't you want to believe him?! Should he shower you with more gifts? It would be better to invite you for a date but with Aether being around it's not that easy….
Kaeya was amused, but he didn't expect that you will think that Venti is his boyfriend. One part of him wanted to joke about it but other part was worried that you will take it too seriously and he will lose his chances with you. The cavalry captain doesn't worry about it too much. He will simply tell you that you're wrong and he will continue showering you with affections.
Venti was a bit hurt by this. Were his love songs and poems dedicated to you not enough? Or maybe this is your way to tell him that you're not interested in him? He can't really understand this… he never was affectionate to anyone else like he is towards you. But after learning he is not the only one that you think is into guys, he felt relieved. At least you didn't think that he and that block head are into each other.
Neuvillette was confused by this. There are already many things that he can't understand about humans. But he was sure that you will realize that he is trying to court you… not the Duke of the Fortress of Meropide… After that for some days it was raining in Fontaine. He decided to tell Furina about it, hoping for some advice in this situation. But she only started to laugh. After she calmed down she promised to help him to clear this misunderstanding.
Wriothesley already knew how oblivious you are but he never expected that you might be this oblivious. He will say that there is nothing like this between him and the Iudex and if you still insist about that then well…if there will be a chance for you two to be alone you can expect him to kabedon you, making you look into his eyes and he won't let you go till you stop thinking that he is interested in anyone that is not you.

𝑾𝒉𝒐 𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒚𝒐𝒖?
Pairing: Alexia Putellas x reader
Words: 1600+
Warnings: none
Summary: You prank on Alexia by pretending to lose your memory. Her reaction was…well, way more adorable than you were expecting.
Tumblr media
While biking with Alexia was always a blast, you had an extra plan for this sunny afternoon. You'd decided that today was the perfect day for a little prank — nothing too mean, just something to mess with her. You grinned to yourself as you watched her up ahead, pedaling easily and glancing back to make sure you were keeping up. You pedaled harder to catch up, laughing to yourself at what was about to go down.
Suddenly, you pretended to lose control and threw yourself to the ground with an exaggerated groan.
"Ahhh!" you cried dramatically, flopping onto the grass by the side of the trail. Alexia, as you expected, immediately stopped her bike, worry flashing across her face.
"Mi amor!" she called, practically jumping off her bike and sprinting over to you. She knelt by your side, her hands gentle as she brushed the hair from your face. "Are you okay? Did you... hurt? Show me!"
You blinked a few times, looking up at her with a dazed expression. "Um... sorry, who are you?" You made sure to sound confused, biting back a laugh at her shocked expression.
Her eyes widened in panic. "Que?" She put a hand on your shoulder, her gaze searching your face with concern. "Amor, it's me! Alexia."
You blinked again, trying to look utterly bewildered. "Alexia? Sorry, I... I don't really know who that is."
She froze, her eyes growing huge. "No... no, no, no," she muttered, now kneeling down so that her face was inches from yours. "I'm... I'm Alexia. Your novia. Your... your girlfriend?"
You tilted your head, looking at her curiously. "You're my... girlfriend?" You let out a surprised chuckle, trying to make it sound half-nervous. "You're sure about that?"
"Si, yes!" She nodded vigorously, grabbing your hands. "We live together. We... we love each other."
You furrowed your brows as if trying to piece things together. "So... you and I are a couple?" You tried to hold back your amusement as she stared at you, looking absolutely devastated.
"Yes, yes, we are a couple." Her voice softened, her grip on your hands tightening. "Don't... don't you remember me?"
You shook your head slowly, giving her an exaggeratedly pitiful look. "I... I'm really sorry, but no."
The panic in her eyes was almost too much. She squeezed your hands, bringing them to her chest. "I'm your Alexia, mi amor. We met at a game! You... you don't remember this?"
You shook your head, biting back laughter. "A game? Are you... famous or something?"
Her face turned a little pink, and she gave a shy, frustrated nod. "Sí, um, yes. I play football. For Barcelona. And, um... Spain." She said this as if hoping it would jog your memory. "And... you... you make fun of my English sometimes. You... you laugh at me, remember?"
You blinked at her, trying to keep up the confused act. "I make fun of your English?" You let out a tiny chuckle. "Why would I do that?"
She sighed, glancing away briefly before meeting your gaze again, her face soft and concerned. "Because... because you love me. And you say it's cute. My English."
"Oh... really?" You tilted your head, taking in her flustered expression. "Well, you do have a cute accent, I'll give you that." You winked, and she let out a relieved little laugh, squeezing your hands.
"See? I am cute." She tried a smile, though her worry hadn't faded. "And... I love you, a lot. So you must remember, sí?"
You pretended to think hard, then shook your head, looking up at her with a small frown. "I... I don't remember. But you do seem nice. And pretty.”
Her cheeks turned pink again, but she gave you a nervous smile. "Thank you," she murmured, glancing down at your hands in hers. "Maybe... maybe it's, how you say, temporary? Like in movies?" She perked up a bit. "You... you hit your head?"
You nodded thoughtfully, trying to keep a serious face. "Maybe? I mean, everything's a bit foggy..."
She nodded back, visibly gathering herself. "Okay. We... we can fix this," she muttered, more to herself than to you. Then she took a deep breath, looking at you with that determined, captain-like gaze. "I tell you about us, okay? You will remember."
You shrugged, letting her go on. "Alright. Tell me about... us."
She took a deep breath, her face now slightly pink. "Well... we met one year ago. You came to a game, Barcelona against Atletico." Her eyes lit up a bit, a small smile appearing. "You told me you didn't know football very much, but you... you liked watching us play."
You squinted at her as if trying to remember, though you were honestly just mesmerized by how passionate she was getting. "Did I say that?"
She nodded enthusiastically. "Yes! You said... how do you say... that we were... inspiring?" She looked at you, hopeful. "You say that, yes?"
"Hmm... that does sound like something I'd say," you mused, nodding.
"Good!" She smiled in relief. "And then we went to... um, what's the place? With the..." She made a motion of eating, clearly struggling to remember the English word.
"A restaurant?" you offered, keeping up the act but feeling a bit guilty at how invested she was in telling the story.
"Yes! A restaurant!" She nodded quickly. "And you told me... you like my smile. And... and I like yours. I think you are very beautiful." Her voice softened at the end, her eyes warm as she looked at you.
You pretended to blush, looking away for a moment before glancing back at her with a shy smile. "You really thought that?"
She nodded, her face lighting up with the sweetest, most genuine smile. "Sí. Very much. And... we laughed, a lot." She squeezed your hands again. "You laugh at my English. And you teach me new words."
"Oh, like what?" you asked, tilting your head with a smirk.
Her cheeks flushed. "Um... cheeky. You say I am cheeky." She grinned, clearly pleased with herself. "And... um, you call me... 'cute'... and sometimes, um, 'lovebug'?"
You couldn't help but smile at that. "I call you lovebug?"
She nodded, her eyes filled with hope and affection. "Sí, it's my... nickname." She reached up, tucking a strand of hair behind your ear. "And you... you say you love my... 'determination'? Yes, that word."
You had to bite your lip to keep from laughing, trying to stay in character. "And... you're sure we're a couple?"
Her face grew serious as she leaned closer. "I am sure. We are... very in love, you and me. And... and you even say I am 'the love of your life.'" Her cheeks turned red again, but she didn't break eye contact.
Your heart melted a bit at her words, feeling a sudden pang of guilt for messing with her so thoroughly. But you decided to push just a little further, if only to see that flustered look one more time.
"Hmm... that does sound familiar," you murmured, reaching out to brush a thumb over her cheek, making her blush deepen. "But... maybe I need one more thing to really jog my memory."
She blinked, tilting her head in confusion. "What... what do you need?"
You gave her a playful grin. "Maybe... a kiss?"
Her eyes went wide for a moment, and she glanced around, as if wondering if anyone could see you two by the side of the trail. But then she gave you a soft smile, her eyes filled with warmth and love. "Sí... of course."
She leaned in, her lips meeting yours in the softest, sweetest kiss. You could feel the sincerity and tenderness in every moment, the way she cupped your face as if she was afraid you'd disappear. When she finally pulled back, her cheeks were red, but she looked at you with a spark of hope.
"Did it... did it work?" she whispered, her voice barely above a breath.
You smiled, letting out a quiet laugh. "Yeah... I think it worked." You couldn't keep up the act any longer, the warmth in her eyes making your heart feel like it could burst. "How could I forget you, lovebug?"
For a moment, she just stared at you, her face a mix of relief and realization. And then her eyes narrowed, her hands still holding yours, but her grip tightening just a bit.
"Wait..." She gave you a suspicious look. "You... you remember me all the time?"
You couldn't help but let out a laugh, sheepishly nodding. "Maybe..."
Her mouth fell open, and she stared at you in disbelief. "You... you lie to me?" She slapped your arm lightly, half-annoyed but clearly relieved. "I think you... you forget me! You... you are so mean!"
You laughed, reaching out to pull her into a hug, grinning as she half-heartedly pushed you away. "I'm sorry! I just wanted to see what you'd say!"
She let out an exasperated sigh, though you could see the smile tugging at the corners of her lips. "Ay, you make me so worried!" But she couldn't stay mad, and a small smile finally broke through. "You are lucky I love you, sí?"
You grinned, leaning in to kiss her cheek. "I know. And for the record, I remember every little detail about you. I just love hearing you talk about us.”
She huffed, crossing her arms but looking a little pleased. "I am glad you... like my English. Even if you laugh at me."
You wrapped an arm around her, pulling her close as you both sat back down in the grass. "Laughing is just my way of loving you, you know that."
Her face softened as she leaned into you, resting her head on your shoulder. "Sí... I know. But next time, I prank you. This... is promise.
You chuckled, squeezing her hand. "I'd love to see you try, lovebug."

Reaction┃Charles Leclerc
summary: Charles finds out about Emma's interview on DTS
pt 2!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The racing season had come to an end and Charles was enjoying some well-deserved time off at home with his wife and young daughter.
One lazy afternoon, they decided to catch up on a recently released movie. They settled into the double bed that he shared with his wife, turned on the TV and were ready to spend an afternoon of relaxation.
As the movie started, Charles scrolled through his phone and casually checked social media. Suddenly, the familiar sound of his phone ringing interrupted the quiet afternoon. Confused, he picked it up and saw numerous notifications flooding in. Curiosity piqued, he opened Twitter and found himself tagged in a video from the latest episode of "Drive to Survive."
He clicked on the video and his confusion grew as the scene unfolded. The camera focused on a familiar face, but it wasn't Charles. It was his daughter, Emma Jules, standing in front of the camera with a small microphone and a huge smile.
Charles leaned forward and his eyes widened in surprise. The interviewer began to ask Emma about her father and what he was like outside the track. Innocent but revealing answers came out of Emma's mouth.
"My daddy is the best here," she began saying, her eyes shining with sincerity.''Sometimes he sings very loud in the car or in the shower. But you know what? He's not very good at it!"
''"He likes to dance while he's cooking with mommy, and he snores really loud when he's asleep. It's funny!"
Charles watched in horror as Emma talked about his private quirks and habits.
''He also cries a lot at Disney or animal movies, or is more interested in playing with my toys than I am. ''
Charles exchanged a bewildered glance with Y/N, who grinned, clearly finding the situation amusing. Emma continued, unaware of her father's growing embarrassment.
''Please tell me I'm dreaming, that Emma didn't actually just say that'' Charles said.
''Sometimes we tell mommy that we are going to grand-mére's house but in reality he takes me to buy new dolls or ice cream.''
''!Wait, what did she just say?'' Y/N asked with a frown.
''Nothing mon-amour, you know how children are, they invent everything'' Charles laughed nervously, trying to avoid his wife's accusatory gaze.
''So that's what they did on the weekends, huh?''
''I have no idea what she's talking about, I swear''
''He also likes to help me make friendship bracelets for my friend and also lets me do his hair and makeup with my princess makeup set that santa gave me for Christmas, he always says that he looks very cute.''
''Jesus Christ, this is not happening, I'm gonna die''
By this point, Y/N couldn't contain her laughter and Charles's face turned several shades of red as he tried to comprehend what had just happened. He didn't expect his daughter to become the star of "Drive to Survive" in such an unexpected way.
The camera then panned slightly, revealing Charles in the background, completely unaware that he was being featured in his daughter's candid interview.
"Looks like you've been exposed, my love."
''!Emma Jules Leclerc, come here right now! You're grounded for life!''

a/n: THANK U GUYS FOR SUPPORTING MEEE IM SO THANKFULLLL 🫶🏽🫶🏽 just finished my assignments so I had to post this (sorry it’s late)🙂‍↕️
+ likes and reblogs are appreciated !!
Tumblr media
the room is filled with a suffocating silence as you lie propped against the intricately carved headboard, your legs sprawled across the bed. toji is between your thighs, hiding your lower body from sukuna’s intense gaze as he stands in the doorway. your body is on fire, not just from sukuna’s sudden appearance but from the intense orgasm you itching to release but now cruelly interrupted.
sukuna’s patience seems to be wearing thin. each beat of your heart echoes in the quiet room, a reminder that today might be the end for both you and toji. after a long pause, toji decided to pay attention to sukuna as he huffs at the fact he had to cut his time short with you. he couldn’t eat you out without you pleading another man’s name. toji rises from between your thighs, his expression a mix of defiance and amusement as he kneels, leaving you breathless and wide-eyed.
does he really want to have sex in front of sukuna? has he lost his mind?
toji’s chuckle is almost as unsettling as sukuna’s silence. he begins to undress, his black haori slipping off his shoulders to reveal a finely sculpted torso, gleaming under the dim light. the sweat on his muscles makes his physique even more enticing.
“calm y’erself,” toji coos, draping his haori over you as a shield against sukuna’s piercing gaze. “we wouldn’t want our fearsome king to see what’s mine, would we?”
sukuna still remains eerily quiet, his stillness more frightening than any of his previous outbursts. your heart swells at toji’s protective gesture, though the dread of sukuna’s silence weighs heavily on you. you and toji now lie side by side, leaning against the headboard, facing the imposing figure of sukuna.
“if you wanted to join us, ryo, you could’ve just asked,” toji teases, his tone light but laced with mockery. sukuna crosses all four of his arms, his biceps straining against his custom made kimono. his face remains a mask of indifference, amplifying the fear that his silence breeds.
the room falls back into an oppressive quiet, broken only by your rapid, uneven breathing. sukuna’s calm demeanour is far scarier than any display of anger could be. you long for him to shout or act out—absolutely anything but his silence.
then, unexpectedly, sukuna bursts into… laughter? the sound is a dark, guttural roar that shatters the silence, his mirthless humour echoing through the room. you exchange confused glances with toji, both of you bewildered by this bizarre reaction. sukuna’s laughter continues as he clutches the wooden frame of the bed for support, hysterically laughing as your heart beats faster.
his four arms clapping in a mocking applause. his cruel amusement makes you feel small, as if you’re the butt of a cruel joke that’s neither funny nor forgivable.
“ah, you truly are naive; it’s fascinating,” sukuna purrs, his voice dripping with venom as he approaches you. the unsettling praise only deepens your confusion. as you try to seek solace from toji, sukuna’s grip on your chin forces you to meet his gaze. he crouches to your level, his four red glowing eyes boring into yours as he lightly pets your head, playing with your hair in a disturbingly tender way.
“k-kuna, i’m sorry,” you stammer, your voice trembling with fear. the way he addresses you, with an almost soft expression, sends shivers down your spine. “how can a single mortal be so weak and foolish that i find myself feeling sorry for you?” he says, his words cutting deep. tears start to form, blurring your vision.
as you struggle to process his words, you realize the room’s silence grew louder. you glance to the space beside you and find that toji has vanished. panic surges through you, your breath quickening as sukuna’s dark chuckle echoes with your growing horror.
wait.
in that moment it feels as though you’ve plunged into the abyss, your entire being sinking deeper and deeper, your soul being wrenched away by an unseen force.
you open your eyes, gasping for air, and look around. the dinner?
confusion grips you as you see everyone absorbed in their meals, lost in conversation. you glance at your hands, pinching yourself and wincing at the sting, painfully aware that this is no dream.
was i daydreaming about toji?
did sukuna ever speak to me in his room?
your mind spins, unable to distinguish between dream and reality. you look up from where you were standing, behind toji, and meet sukuna’s gaze. his smirk is predatory, and you feel as if you’re being consumed by a dark, suffocating force.
there’s no way.
no.
sukuna’s smile stretches wider as he nods, a knowing, almost sadistic gleam in his eyes. your blood runs cold.
he’s the mastermind. he planted every disturbing thought in your head—the moments with toji, the intimate scenes, the claims of possession—all illusions, all his cruel manipulation.
he wanted to break you, to see how easily he could worm his way into your psyche, how far he could push you before you shattered, and he’s just getting started. his amusement at your torment was his twisted pleasure during dinner, with no one else to entertain him. not even yorozu, seated beside him, could distract him. but watching you, standing behind toji, your gaze almost eye fucking toji was all it took for sukuna to unleash his dark games.
you feel the heat rising in your body, and the clothes you’re wearing suddenly feel stifling. overwhelmed by embarrassment, you storm out of the dining hall, desperately trying to steady your breath as you walk down the hallway.
tears well up in your eyes as you grapple with the realization that you’re nothing more than a pawn in his twisted game, his mind games manipulating you at will.
you truly are naive it’s fascinating,
his words echo in your mind, a haunting that drives you mad. as you turn a corner, you use your hands to dab at your eyes, trying to keep the tears at bay. suddenly, you freeze when you spot sukuna standing right in the middle of the hallway, his presence making you jump.
“did you enjoy that dirty little fantasy?” he purrs, his tone dripping with amusement as he grips your arm, forcing you to listen to his taunting. “quite nasty of you to have those thoughts during dinner,” he teases, his face twisting into a mock-disgusted expression.
“are you in love with me?” you blurt out shakily, avoiding his gaze as you try to hold back your tears. sukuna looks taken aback by your blunt question, his eyes widening in surprise.
“how dare you ask me such a foolish question. have you bumped your head on the way here?” he retorts, his tone a mix of aggression and confusion. you wince slightly as he tightens his grip on your arm.
“you’re with yorozu, but you’ve got me on your mind. you’re afraid of love, so you’re content to love me from a distance,” you assert, watching as sukuna’s face goes from offended to intrigued. he loosens his grip on your arm, a slow smile spreading across his face.
“I see what this is about,” he says, stepping closer and backing you against the wall, his enormous frame towering over you. the sheer height and intensity of his presence are overwhelming, and as he presses you against the wall as one of his large hand grips your jaw, you can barely breathe.
“you’re jealous that I’m with her and not you, aren’t you? do you wish you were in her place?”
“you’re avoiding my question—you plant these thoughts in my head so I can never be with anyone else but you,” you accuse, noticing the twitch of one of his lower eyes as both your breathings become shallow. sukuna’s face inches closer to yours, his intense eye contact and touch almost making you whimper. his lips are so close that you can feel the warmth of his breath against your face.
you tentatively reach up, running your fingers through his soft, pink hair. as you do, sukuna’s eyes flutter closed, a deep purr escaping his lips. he leans into your touch, his face drawing ever closer to yours, almost as if he’s going to kiss you. the sensation of his hair beneath your fingers and the closeness of his face send shivers through you, and for a moment, you realize that the king of curses is wrapped around your finger, caught in a vulnerable moment of your doing.
but then, sukuna snaps back to reality. his red eyes narrow with fury as he realizes how close he came to fully surrendering to your touch. his anger flares, and he pins both your hands above your head, slamming them against the wall with such force that you’re acutely aware of how tall and imposing he is.
“I could replace you with a snap of my fingers—you mean nothing to me,” he growls, his words slicing through you like a dagger.
“then do it,” you challenge, meeting his fiery eyes with your own defiant glare. sukuna’s eyes glint with a mix of surprise and admiration at your boldness.
“tsk, what happened to your timid behaviour?” he taunts, his grip on your arms tightening with each word. you remain silent, questioning your own sudden courage. sukuna’s grip begins to loosen as you drop your gaze in defeat, and with a frustrated storming off, he leaves you standing there, feeling both defeated.

night falls as you and the other servants finish cleaning up the dishes and sweeping the kitchen after the guests have left. having completed your duties, you inform everyone you’re done for the day, and they bid you goodnight. as you walk down the familiar hallway, you glance up to see one of the balcony doors upstairs standing wide open. concerned that one of the servants or maids might have left it open, you quickly take a detour in the direction of the servant quarters and towards the staircase.
when you reach the balcony doors, you peek through and see a tall figure standing outside, enjoying the cool breeze and gazing up at the stars.
“toj’?” you call out, and he turns to look at you, a hint of confusion crossing his face at the nickname you’ve used.
“did you call me toj’ because the thoughts he placed in your head” he asks with a smirk, clearly having overheard your earlier conversation with sukuna. realizing that you and toji had never interacted before, you stammer an apology. he chuckles, reassuring you that it’s okay.
“how much did you hear?” you ask, closing the balcony doors behind you to give you both some privacy as you step further onto the balcony.
“everything.”
oh.
“well—”
“do you love him?” he asks bluntly, his gaze still on the stars as the question hangs between you. his sudden honesty makes you pause, staring at the night sky with him, the moonlight casting a serene glow over the garden below.
“w-when i first met him, i did. he even wanted me for himself,” you admit, watching as toji nods. “but now he tortures me—playing mind games and flaunting that other woman.”
a silence falls between you as you both take in the peaceful night. the stars twinkle brightly, and the moon hangs low, its light reflecting softly off the surrounding trees. you and toji stand there for a while, breathing in the fresh air, letting the moment stretch out, a quiet respite from the chaos of your thoughts.
“i’ve heard enough—how about you serve me and my clan?” toji finally says, breaking the silence. his bluntness catches you off guard, and you turn to him, wide-eyed.
“do you really think he’d let me leave to serve another clan—”
“when my stay is over, come with me. we’ll take you in as part of our family and treat you properly,” he offers, and the idea sounds tempting. you fidget with your fingers, considering his proposal.
“but if you prefer to stay in this hellhole, that’s up to you—”
“i’ll come with you,” you say decisively. toji’s smile widens, his scar stretching as he looks at you approvingly.
“don’t worry y’er pretty head about how you’re getting with me, I already know a plan.”

Do you know this tiktok trend where girls tell guys about paying at the mechanic's for premium air for their cars 😭 could you write a fic where y/n does that prank to Max?
Tumblr media
"Premium Air?" - Max Verstappen
pairing . . . max verstappen x reader )
genre . . . fluff )
wc . . . 825 words )
read my other work . . . here )
request something . . . here )
“Oh Maxy, I was supposed to mention, I took your car to be serviced. I know you’ve been so busy lately I thought I’d do that and give you one less thing to worry about” You said to your boyfriend, trying your hardest to suppress any giggles that wanted to escape. Your phone sat propped up on the bookshelf, strategically hidden so Max didn't notice.
You had been seeing so many videos on TikTok where girls would prank their boyfriends or husbands by convincing them that they had bought “premium air” for the tires of their cars; and you decided that since so much of Max’s life revolved around cars, it would be the perfect way to prank him.
“Oh, thank you very much baby, that’s kind of you, everything okay with it?” he said, never lifting his head up from his phone.
“You’re welcome, yeah everything was okay they just said something about low tire pressure or something? I don’t really remember but I sorted it.” You said, fighting the mischievous grin that is trying to take its place on your face. At your words Max finally lifts his head up and looked at you, his brows furrowed.
“Really are you sure? They seemed to be fine last time I drove it” his voice has a hint of concern lacing though it, clearly unsure where this is leading.
“I’m not sure, that’s what the man said anyway. But I got it sorted. I even sprung for the premium air for you!” Your excitement was clear and the second the words left your lips, Max put his phone down, his full attention now on you. Confusion was etched on his face, his brows furrowed, and his lips pressed tightly in a fine line.
“Premium air?” he questioned
You nod enthusiastically, maintaining your poker face. "Yeah! It's the latest thing. It makes your car run smoother, improves fuel efficiency, and who knows, maybe it even adds a few extra horsepower."
Max looks at you like you’ve got two heads and you come so close to ruining the whole prank and bursting out laughing.
“Premium air?” he asked again, like he couldn’t find any other words to respond to your ridiculousness. “How much did this premium air cost you?” he asked with a bemused smile, that smile however, dropped as soon as you answered his question.
“Oh, it was a steal! Like €150 a tire.”
His eyebrows shot up in disbelief. "€150 per tire? Are you serious Y/N? There's no such thing as premium air!"
You feign innocence, "Oh, come on, Maxy, it's a special service they offered. You can't put a price on a smooth ride” Max sighs, a mix of frustration and amusement on his face.
"Baby, I think you’ve been scammed. There's no such thing as premium air. Next time, let me know before you spend money on something like this."
You play dumb, widening your eyes in mock surprise. "Scammed? But how could I buy it if it doesn't exist?"
Max laughs, shaking his head. "You're too precious. Next time, let me come with you to the garage, okay? I'll make sure you don't fall for any tricks."
You're left feeling a bit confused. Most of the prank videos you’ve seen end with frustration or annoyance, but Max seems more amused than anything else.
As you sit there, still feeling a bit bewildered by Max's surprisingly lighthearted reaction, you gather the courage to ask him the burning question. "Hey, Max," you begin cautiously, "why aren't you mad at me?"
He looks at you with genuine confusion. "Mad? What do you mean?"
You take a deep breath and decide it's time to come clean. "The whole premium air thing—it was a prank," you admit, pointing discreetly at the camera you had strategically placed in the room to capture his reaction.
Max's eyes widen in realization, and he breaks into a hearty laugh. "You got me!" he exclaims, playfully pushing you.
You can't help but smile at his reaction, relieved that he found it amusing. "Seriously, though, why aren't you mad? Everyone else in those prank videos gets upset."
Max wraps an arm around you, pulling you closer. "I didn't want to make you feel bad," he confesses. "You were just trying to do something nice for me, and I didn't want to ruin that by getting angry over a harmless mistake” You look up at him, touched by his understanding and kindness. "But I wasted money on something that doesn't exist. You could have been really mad." He leans down, placing a gentle kiss on your forehead. "Money comes and goes, but you trying to make me happy means the world to me.”
"I love you," you say, a mixture of gratitude and affection in your voice.
Max smiles, his eyes filled with warmth. "I love you too, baby. Just remember, next time you decide to prank me, I'll be one step ahead."

Say My Name, Say My Name I Quinn Hughes 🖋️🌺
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Requested? Yes / No
Summary; Based on the Tik Tok trend, calling your boyfriend “husband”
Tropes & warnings; established relationship; Tik Tok trend; fluff, marriage proposal; no warnings;
Other notes: For the second story of this TikTok trend, I've challenged myself with writing for Quinn Hughes for the first time 😊 To be honest, I didn't know much about him to fully capture his character, however, this is pretty much how sweet I imagine this boy to be 🤭🤍 Since I had a few different ideas of how to approach the request, this turned out to be nothing but pure fluff 🌺🥂
I hope you enjoy it 🌷🐰
Word count; 1.6K
・✶ 。゚
As the sun dipped low, casting a gentle glow over the bustling streets of Vancouver, you strolled alongside your boyfriend, Quinn Hughes. The city buzzed with its usual activity, providing a comforting backdrop to your conversation on this typical Thursday evening. And with the promise of a hockey-free weekend on the horizon, a mischievous idea had crept into your mind – sparked by a popular TikTok challenge that had been gaining traction online.
In recent weeks, you'd seen numerous videos of people teasingly calling their boyfriends "husbands," while recording their partners' bewildered reactions for entertainment. And intrigued by the trend, you couldn't resist the urge to try it out with Quinn.
After nearly three years of shared laughter and cherished moments in your relationship, you were confident that Quinn would find the prank amusing, perhaps even earning a reaction with a hint of panic. So, with a playful glint in your eye, you had naturally shared your plan with your closest friend, enlisting her help in pulling off the light-hearted prank.
As you’d proposed the idea, your friend, always up for TikTok trends, had eagerly agreed to assist. You’d decided on arranging a double date, which wouldn’t be out of the ordinary, planning for you to execute the prank while she would discreetly film Quinn's reaction.
So, as you sat in a cosy, almost half-empty restaurant later that Thursday evening, the weight of your impending prank began to settle in. Excitement and nerves mingled in your chest, your fingers tapping restlessly on the tabletop as you waited for the perfect moment to put your plan into action.
And finally, the moment arrived, hanging in the air with a mix of anticipation and uncertainty. As the waiter approached to take your orders, a surge of anxious energy coursed through you, your heart racing. Yet, with practiced ease, you smoothly transitioned into the pivotal moment. "And for my husband," you said, injecting a playful tone into your voice, "he'll have a glass of ice water and the pasta Bolognese."
The words hung in the air, a silent challenge to fate, while your best friend discreetly positioned her phone, ready to capture Quinn's genuine reaction.
Time seemed to stand still for a moment as Quinn's gaze shifted towards you, his expression a fleeting mix of surprise and curiosity. "Your what?" he murmured, his voice barely audible, yet you persisted, ignoring the amusement threatening your facade of confidence.
In that suspended moment, Quinn's initial reaction was genuine astonishment, his eyes widening in disbelief before a soft chuckle broke the tension like a gentle wave against the shore.
And as the waiter then walked away following taking all orders, he left behind echoes of laughter. Quinn then leaned closer towards you; his tone laced with mock seriousness. "Husband, huh?" he mused, a playful smirk on his lips. "Guess I'll need to update my resume."
It hadn’t entirely been the shocked reaction you’d hoped for, yet you still found the situation undeniably amusing. Confessing the inspiration behind your jest, laughter filled the air. And as the night wore on, your little act slowly faded in the background.
However, unbeknownst to you, the innocent prank had sparked an idea in Quinn's mind.
Although he hadn’t exactly expected to consider such a significant step already at the age of 24, the notion lingered, intriguing and compelling. As the eldest among his brothers and in his most serious relationship yet, Quinn had pondered the concept for some time. He’d even briefly sought advice from his closest teammates on how to broach the subject, as he’d realised life was too short to wait for the perfect moment.
So, as he sat beside you, enveloped in shared laughter, he felt a newfound determination. With quiet resolve and a heart full of affection, he began laying the groundwork for a significant occasion, one that would hopefully change your relationship for the better.
A little over a week later, with the memory of your playful prank still fresh in his mind, Quinn found himself beyond excited and content about the idea. With determination coursing through him and a ring burning a silent promise in his pocket, he’d devised a plan.
His aim was to catch you off guard, to make the moment as unexpected as possible. And having noticed how you had emphasised the prank was nothing but a joke, he guessed your mind hadn’t dwelled on such matters. Which made it the perfect opportunity.
So, returning to the very same restaurant Saturday evening where the idea had originated, Quinn carefully arranged the setting for the action. Despite the absence of a best friend discreetly recording the scene, the familiar ambiance of the restaurant's softly lit interior and the intimate corner table added a serene touch to the occasion. So with a steady hand and a heart brimming with love, Quinn recreated the scene.
As the waiter approached to take your orders, he took a deep breath, and with a voice filled with emotion, he echoed your words from days prior, "And for my wife, she'll have a glass of Champagne along with some water and the cheese, spinach ravioli, please."
Your eyes widened a little in slight disbelief as the words lingered in the air, blending with the gentle buzz of conversation around you, and a chuckle escaped your lips of amusement at Quinn's unexpected play. You simply couldn’t help but laugh at the joke and how he replicated your playful tease from the other night with such precision.
“Wife, huh?” You chuckled lightly. “Guess I deserved that one - though I do enjoy the sound of it.”
However, this time, it wasn't a prank. As the waiter departed, leaving behind a soft smile, your eyes met with Quinn’s, flashing him an entertained smile. Yet there was a seriousness in your boyfriend’s expression, a rare sight outside of the intensity of a hockey match, and a curious furrow creased your brow as you couldn’t decipher his thoughts. But before you could ask him what was on his mind, Quinn gently rose from his seat, moving with deliberate grace to stand next to you.
“I’m glad you say that ‘cause…”
You shifted in your seat to face him, the air crackled with anticipation as he then slowly dropped to one knee, the world around you fading into insignificance, leaving only the man you loved, poised before you with a vulnerability that stole your breath away.
Your heart pounded in your chest as Quinn gently took out the little velvet box from his pocket, his brown eyes shining with an intensity that mirrored his deep emotions.
“Y/n," he softly began. "I know you said it as a joke the other night, but... truth be told, it stuck with me. And I realised that… I do want to be your called husband. You mean everything to me. Without you, I'd be lost – even though I don't tell you enough, you make my every day brighter. I can't even begin to thank you enough for your endless support, for putting up with me and my career every single day. You never ask for anything, and yet you give so much love. I love you so so much, and I just can't imagine a future without you in it..."
With every heartfelt confession, your breath hitched in your throat, your mind swirling with the weight of his sentiments. Emotions surged within you, threatening to overflow as Quinn exposed his soul, sharing his fears and dreams for your future together.
And then came the question, hanging in the air like a fragile promise—a question that held the power to shape your lives forever.
"Y/n, will you marry me?"
It felt surreal, like a dream woven from the threads of your deepest desires and fondest hopes. Quinn on his knee before you, his vulnerability a testament to the depth of his love. And in that moment, tears glistening in your eyes, and a smile tugging at the corners of your lips, there was only one right answer.
Though struggling to find the words, you willed your lips to move and your throat to vocalise the response.
"Yes... Quinn, of course," you replied with excitement, the sound of soft applauses rippling through the restaurant. And with a deep relieved sigh, and a satisfied smile illuminating his face, Quinn rose from his kneeling position, meeting you in a deep, heartfelt kiss.
Sealing the engagement your lips met with nothing but devotion, the world around you slowly dissolving, before breaking apart. Quinn's excitement was nothing short of palpable, his smile radiant as he carefully slipped the ring onto your finger, and he couldn’t deny that this felt better than any hockey match win. Perhaps besides winning the Stanley Cup.
It was truly a beautiful ring. The diamond's shimmer mirrored the twinkle in his eyes as you admired the ring's delicate intricacies. And with a content smile, you shared another quick kiss before Quinn returned to his seat, and the waiter poured champagne to mark the occasion.
Raising your glasses in a toast, you again sealed the engagement with a clink, the bubbles dancing against your lips like promises of a future filled with love and joy. This moment was everything you had ever dreamed of. Though it had begun with a playful joke, it perfectly captured the essence of your relationship—full of laughter, love, and shared moments of joy.
And with your hands gently intertwined on the table, both admiring the new addition to your finger, you couldn't help but chuckle. "Looks like I really do need to update my resume," you playfully remarked, echoing Quinn's words from the other night.
And in response, your fiancé merely chuckled, his eyes brimming with adoration as he kissed your hand and held your gaze with unwavering affection. "Yes, I suppose you’ll have to," he smiled, his voice filled with promise and a love that knew no bounds.

broke but not broken | mason mount
Tumblr media
pairing: mason mount x reader
summary: you prank Mason by saying you can't afford dinner.
Tumblr media
I was scrolling through TikTok when I stumbled upon this brilliant prank: a girl telling her boyfriend she couldn’t take him out to dinner because she didn’t have any money. I couldn’t resist. Mason was such a sweetheart, and watching his confusion unfold would be comedy gold.
As we hopped into the car, both of us dressed to impress for our dinner date, I decided it was time to unleash my plan.
I leaned over and started recording, wanting to capture every moment. I took a deep breath and turned to him, my expression serious.
"Babe, what's wrong?"
“Mase, we need to talk.”
He glanced at me, his brow furrowing with concern. “You alright?”
I maintained my serious face.
“I can’t take you out to dinner tonight. I don’t have any money.”
His eyes widened, clearly bewildered.
“What do you mean? I always pay!”
“Yeah, well, not this time. So… we can’t go out,” I said, trying my best to keep a straight face.
“Wait, when did you ever pay?” He sounded genuinely confused, which made it harder for me not to laugh.
“Just today, I guess? I’ve got a strict budget,” I replied, feigning seriousness.
Mason leaned back in his seat, looking like I’d just told him the world was ending.
“You can’t be serious! Use my card! That’s why I work, yeah?”
I smirked, loving the way he was trying to reason with me. “But what if I don’t want to?”
“Are you joking? You’re leaving me like this?” He gestured to himself, all dressed up. “I’m ready to go, and you’re telling me we’re just… not?”
“Oh, absolutely. Welcome to my world!” I said, trying to suppress my laughter.
He shook his head, a mixture of confusion and concern on his face.
“But I don’t get it! You’ve got money somewhere, don’t you? I’m not asking you to pay! I want to take you out!”
I could hardly contain myself, watching his expressions shift from disbelief to sheer desperation.
“Mason, you’re not listening. I simply can’t afford it today. Maybe we can just grab a takeaway?”
His eyes widened even more.
“Takeaway? Is that what you want? I’m not having a night in with just microwave noodles!”
“Why not? They’re delicious!” I shot back, enjoying the banter.
He leaned forward, looking like he was trying to solve a complex puzzle. “No, seriously! When did you suddenly decide not to pay? This is all so weird! What’s going on?”
“Look, I just don’t feel like going out,” I said, trying to stifle my laughter. “Can’t we just order something in?”
He ran a hand through his hair, clearly exasperated.
“But I’m all dressed up! You can’t just bail on me like this!”
“Maybe I just wanted to surprise you with a cozy night at home?” I teased.
“Surprise? You’re killing me here!” he replied, his voice a mix of amusement and genuine concern. “I was looking forward to dinner!”
“This is pure gold, Mason! The world needs to see your reaction.”
“Great, can’t wait for everyone to see how you’re torturing me,” he said, crossing his arms dramatically.
I giggled as I watched him try to process the whole situation.
"But really, what if I’m saving my money for a surprise?”
“A surprise that leaves me starving?” he quipped, rolling his eyes but still trying to hide his smile.
“Exactly! Now you’re getting it!” I shot back, barely able to contain my laughter.
He paused, tilting his head as if he were figuring out a riddle.
“Look, just take my card! I don’t care about the money. I’m more worried about being hungry in a minute!”
“You’re so sweet,” I said, laughing at how genuinely concerned he sounded. “But no dinner means more time to cuddle on the sofa, right?”
“Now you’re just teasing me!” he exclaimed, half-laughing, half-dying inside. “This isn’t fair. I’m not leaving without food!”
“Too bad! You’re stuck with me and some instant noodles,” I replied, loving every moment of his confusion.
Finally, I relented, unable to keep the prank going any longer.
“Alright, alright! It was a prank! I saw it on TikTok!”
His expression shifted from confusion to relief, and then to mock annoyance. “You little bugger! I thought I’d have to starve!”
“I couldn’t help it! Your reactions were too good!” I said, still laughing as I stopped the recording.
Days before posting the video i have to say... it was a hit. I was on the couch with Mason next to me, and I started reading the comments as they rolled in.
“Why is Mason so confused?”
“Love this couple!”
“Mason’s reactions are the best!”
“LOL, he’s so sweet for offering to pay!”
"Mason was so offended istg "
I turned to Mason, who was shaking his head with a grin. “You know, I might just get you back for this.”
“Oh, I’m ready for whatever you’ve got! Just know, I’ll always be one step ahead,” I replied, feeling the warmth of our playful banter.
He smirked. “Next time, I’m the one pulling a prank! Just you wait.”
“Bring it on, Mount!” I laughed, excitement bubbling up inside me. This was just the beginning of our fun adventures, and I couldn’t wait to see what he had in store next.

Reader who normally doesn’t wear makeup (they just don’t like feeling substances on their skin, which is unfortunately most products) but they come across a brand that they can actually tolerate and they take full advantage of it, looking nice in addition to dressing up a little for a casual outing on the Luofu with their beau Dan Heng—
—before dragging him away to a secluded corner for a heavy makeout session with no explanation for it whatsoever, kissing him silly and all over the face before deciding it’s enough and they leave to resume their activities.
And when Dan Heng steps out, he gets funny looks, snickering and winks from random passersby, even a few catcalls. Even one of the Cloud Knights in the area gives him a thumbs-up.
It’s not until he passes by a mirror or a window (something with a reflective surface) that he finally sees all the lipstick marks Reader left all over his face.
It’s fine if you don’t wanna write this, I just felt like sharing this silly idea. I think Dan Heng would have a cute reaction. 🤭

Mine to Claim
Summary: You decide to dress up a bit for a casual outing on the Xianzhou Luofu with Dan Heng, taking full advantage of a new makeup brand you can tolerate. Midway through your date, you drag him into a secluded corner for a spontaneous, passion-filled makeout session, leaving him dazed and covered in lipstick marks. Unbeknownst to him, you also leave a cheeky "MINE" written on his collarbone in lipstick. The aftermath? A flustered Dan Heng getting attention from amused passersby and realizing your handiwork only after catching his reflection.

A/N: 🤭💕🫣I LOVE LIPSTICK KISSES!! (I hate lipstick in general because it's such a weird sensation on me just like how you described it🧍‍♀️)
Tumblr media
The bustling streets of the Xianzhou Luofu were alive with activity, the air rich with the scent of spices and blooming flowers. You adjusted your outfit—a casual but elevated look you'd put together for your rare outing with Dan Heng. Normally, you wouldn’t bother with makeup, but the new brand you’d discovered had been a game-changer. The light, breathable formulas didn’t bother your skin, so you’d gone all out. A subtle shimmer on your eyelids, a touch of blush, and the pièce de résistance—a bold, rich lipstick shade that you’d been dying to try.
Dan Heng, ever reserved, didn’t comment much when you met up with him, but the subtle way his sharp gaze lingered a fraction longer than usual was all the validation you needed. The two of you strolled through the Luofu, sampling street food and admiring the intricate architecture. Despite the casual nature of your outing, Dan Heng looked as composed as ever, his dark attire and serene expression drawing a few admiring glances from passersby.
But you had a plan.
Spotting a secluded corner down an alley, you tugged at his sleeve. “Come with me for a second.”
Dan Heng raised a brow but followed without question. The moment you were out of view, you turned to him with a mischievous grin.
“What’s this about?” he asked, the faintest hint of amusement in his voice.
“Shh,” you said, placing your hands on his shoulders. Without warning, you pulled him down into a searing kiss. His body tensed for a brief moment before he melted into it, his hands finding your waist. You kissed him deeply, letting the world around you fade away.
But you weren’t done. You pressed soft kisses across his cheeks, his jawline, and his nose, leaving a trail of lipstick marks in your wake. Dan Heng, caught off guard by the sudden affection, could only stand there, dazed and bewildered, as you reached into your bag and grabbed your lipstick. Before he could react, you tilted the collar of his shirt slightly and wrote, in bold letters, “MINE” on his collarbone.
“Alright,” you said cheerfully, capping the lipstick and stepping back to admire your handiwork. “Let’s go.”
Dan Heng blinked, his brain still catching up. “…Go? That’s it?”
“That’s it.” You smiled innocently and took his hand, leading him back into the streets.
He followed, bemused but compliant. It wasn’t until he noticed the odd reactions—a Cloud Knight giving him a thumbs-up, a group of merchants chuckling as he passed, and one particularly brazen individual catcalling him—that he began to suspect something was amiss.
Finally, a reflective shop window revealed the truth. His normally pristine face was covered in lipstick marks, each one vivid and impossible to miss. His collarbone, barely visible above his shirt, bore the word “MINE” in bold, unmistakable letters.
Dan Heng froze, his cheeks burning with a rare flush of color. He turned to you, still holding his hand, as you tried and failed to suppress your laughter.
“You…” His voice was calm, but his narrowed eyes betrayed his exasperation.
“You’re welcome,” you teased, leaning up to press a kiss to his cheek—this time leaving no mark.
He sighed, shaking his head, but the ghost of a smile tugged at his lips. “You’re impossible.”
“And you love me for it,” you replied smugly, dragging him forward before he could protest.
As mortifying as the situation was, Dan Heng couldn’t deny the warmth in his chest, even as he resigned himself to being the center of attention for the rest of the day.

when I was in middle school (around 2010 or so), we read a short story about a machine that took in the writings of thousands, millions of books, and, after analyzing them all to learn how to write by example, generated new books in a short amount of time, and we had to discuss it as a class.
I was beginning to get into programming, and one of the things I'd learned about was markov chains, which put simply, allowed primitive chat bots to form sentences by analyzing how the words we used in conversations were ordered and strung together words and phrases that had a high probability of appearing next to each other. with the small dataset that was our chatroom, this often led to it regurgitating large chunks of sentences that appeared in our conversations and mashing them together, which was sometimes amusing. but generally, the more data it collected, the more its ability to output its own sentences improved. essentially, it worked a lot like the predictive text on your phone, but it chose the sequence of words on its own.
and yet, in that class discussion, everyone decried the machine in that story for committing plagiarism. they didn't seem to understand that the machine wasn't copying from the books it was fed verbatim, but using the text of those books to learn how to write its own books. I was bewildered by everyone's reactions, because I had already seen such a machine, or at least a simple approximation of one. if that chat bot had taken in the input of millions of books' worth of text, and if it used an algorithm that wasn't so simplistic, it likely would have been even better at coming up with responses.
there is valid criticism to be made about ai, for sure. as it stands, it is a way for the bourgeoisie to reduce labor costs by laying off their employees, and in an economic system where your ability to survive is tied to employment, this is very dangerous. but the problem there, of course, is the economic system, and not the tool itself. people also often disparage the quality of ai-generated art, and while I generally agree that it's usually not very interesting, that's because of the data it's been trained on. ai works best when it has a lot of data to work with, which is why it's so good at generating art with styles and motifs that are already popular. that is to say, people were already writing and drawing bland art that's made to appeal to as wide of an audience as possible, because that's the kind of art that is most likely to turn a profit under capitalism; it was inevitable that ai would be used to create more of it more efficiently when it has so many examples to learn from. but it's bizarre to see that the way people today react to generative ai is exactly the same as the way my classmates in middle school reacted.

oh quinn would feel so guilty when you get back and you’d just be like … uh so … no need to be sorry … bc if kinda worked for me
“baby, i’m so sorry. i was just mad, and angry, and didn’t know how to deal with it and you were the only one here and please, i’m sorry,” quinn would basically attack you when you walk through the door, takeout bags in hand.
you’d giggle, already having read his twenty texts telling you he’s sorry and to please come back home.
“q, it’s fine, really,” you place the food on the counter in the kitchen, his apologies following you the entire way.
“no, it’s not, there’s absolutely no excuse for the way i treated you, and i promise i’m going to make it up to you. tomorrow, you get whatever you want. we’ll eat at your favorite restaurants, get your favorite desserts, watch your favorite shows. i’ll even-“
“quinn!!” you interrupt his breathless rant with a laugh. “breathe! i promise, i’m not mad.”
he looks at you confused. “but…i was really mean to you,” he pouts.
“yeah, you were. and i probably should be mad. but it was hot, so i’m not,” you shrug, removing the various containers from the large bag, ready to dig in to your food.
“it was….hot?” he questions you, not expecting that reaction at all.
“yeah. it was. i mean, don’t do it again any time soon or i will be upset, but i don’t know if i’ve ever really seen you like that before and it…worked.”
“it worked?” he asks, still confused at what you’re implying.
“yeah, like it worked,” you give him a look, willing him to catch on.
you watch him try to connect the dots in his brain, just observing and waiting, until you see the light bulb go off.
“oh! you mean…oh” he stops, cheeks turning red. “really?”
you nod, amused at his bewildered tone.
once it finally sets in, quinn smirks at you.
“so…if i said forget dinner and meet me in the bedroom…?” he trails off, nodding his head towards the direction of your shared room.
you drop the containers in your hand, rushing around the island to take his hand and drag him behind you, glad you at least picked something for dinner that’s just as good heated over.

the cold-white christmas lights twinkled against the frosted windows of the cozy chalet, casting a glow over the party inside. the air buzzed with laughter and the occasional sound of a beer cap being popped off the glass bottle. the host had outdone themselves; garlands of greenery lined the mantelpiece, candles flickered on every surface, and the star of the show was the 7ft tall christmas tree.
admittedly you hadn’t planned to come to the party tonight, but a persuasive friend insisted this would be the christmas party, and you wouldn’t want to miss it.
the sound of a deep, easy laugh broke your train of thought, and you turned in the direction it came from. a man you hadn’t seen before was leaned against a counter, holding his beer with his other hand, his face glowing with amusement at something the person in front of him had said. his curls framed his face, and his smile was so genuine it seemed to light up the space around him.
your heart skipped a beat when his gaze suddenly moved onto you. it was brief, nothing major, but it was enough to send a light blush onto your face. you turned your face down, the lip of the bottle suddenly became fascinating.
“looking at someone?” your friend teased, magically appearing at your side. jesus.
“no,” you replied a little too quickly, the warmth on your cheeks becoming hotter.
your friend smirked knowingly at you, “riiight,” she dragged out, rolling her eyes. “well he’s single, but you don’t care about that so..”
the way you perked up wasn’t at all subtle, made obvious by your friend snicker at your reaction.
before you could tell her off, a burst of gasps came from around the kitchen. you both turned to see two people caught under a mistletoe, looking at each other bewildered. there were cheers, and a few ‘you know the rules!!’ shouted, in case they had tried to walk off.
it took them a moment, but everyone cheered when the two leaned in to kiss each other. your friendly smiled at the sight, but you rolled your eyes.
“remind me to avoid that doorway,” you spoke up, causing your friend to give you a gentle nudge as she shook her head.
“nuh-uh!” she scoffed, winking at you. “it’s a christmas party, and some fun! plus, i think i know someone you’d like to be under it with,” she raised her brows, causing you to glare at her.
you made a mental note to avoid that doorway at all costs, reminding yourself every time you were near it.
though as the night wore on, and despite your best efforts to avoid the kitchen, it was almost impossible. especially when your bottle was empty, and you needed another. if you were fast enough, you were sure you’d be able to avoid walking under the mistletoe with someone.
you continuously looked left and right as you neared the kitchen, making sure nobody was heading for there at the same time as you. however, you were so caught up that you didn’t see the man standing at the entrance of the kitchen.
“woah there,” a deep voice spoke, holding you by the shoulders after you had walked into his chest. “careful where you’re walking.”
you glanced up startled and— oh, there he was.
the man from earlier, with the loud laugh and bright smile was right in front of you. and the signature smile was on his face once again, and one could argue it was wider this time. the scent of his cologne filled your nose, captivating you in a trance as you stared up at him. his curls were a little messier now, and his cheeks were a little pinker from his alcohol consumption.
“sorry! shit, i’m sorry. i clearly wasn’t..“ you started to ramble, but you trailed off when you noticed his gaze wasn’t on you anymore. you followed it up and shit.
the mistletoe. hanging right above the two of you.
“oh,” you muttered with a gulp. your eyes moved back to daniel’s face, and he was already looking at you with a light smirk.
“looks like we’ve got ourselves in a little situation,” he spoke up, one of the hands on your shoulders giving it a squeeze, as the other had his thumb rubbing soothing circles into your skin.
daniel could see the nervous look in your eyes, and he gave you a wink. “hey, i’m not going to traumatise you with my technique,” he laughed lightly, moving his face closer to your own. as soon as his lips were hovering yours, he muttered a “promise,” before closing the gap.
the kiss was over quicker than you anticipated, and you couldn’t believe it but— you craved a longer one. his soft, plump lips felt amazing against yours, and the tease of his tongue running against them was a pleasant surprise.
“see? harmless,” he said, pulling away with a pleased expression. he extended his hand out, with a “the name’s daniel, by the way,” dropping from his lips.
you shook his hand in return, giving him your name. he repeated it softly with a soft squeeze to your hand before he let go.
“well, i’ll see you around,” he grinned, nodding before he brushed past you and back into the crowd of the lively party.
you finally exhaled, not realising you had been holding your breath for so long.
the next time you saw him, it was almost too coincidental to be true. a cliche, some might say.
you had moved to a quieter corner of the party, chatting with the friend you had came to the party with. you zoned out of the conversation when daniel entered your vision, a grin on his face as he walked towards you.
“there you are! my mistletoe buddy,” he laughed, chasing a small giggle to escape you. you seen your friend gawking in your peripheral vision and oops, you hadn’t told her about it. well, at least she knew now.
“funny seeing you here,” you smiled with a raised brow, and daniel gave you a small shrug.
“well, i’d say it’s funnier for that guy up there,” he told you, causing you to frown in confusion. you looked up and— shit, really?
another mistletoe. there it was— a fresh sprig of mistletoe hung directly above you.
“now, you know it’s a tradition,” he winked, making you pout at him. you tried to jest, muttering how traditions were made to be broken, but daniel shook his head. “nope, they’re made to be honoured.”
you rolled your eyes at him, taking a step closer. daniel took a step closer too, his hand moving to cup your cheek, tilting your head up towards him.
“pucker up, buttercup,” he muttered, making you burst into a fit of giggles as you pulled away. “huh— what?”
“really? pucker up, buttercup?” you laughed, and daniel started laughing along too.
“hey! i’m trying to ease the tension,” he muttered, pulling you back in to him again, his thumb rubbing the apple of your cheek softly.
the kiss was a little longer this time, daniel tilting his head after a few seconds to get a better angle, trying to memorise your lips. he cheekily nipped at your bottom lip, a surprised but soft whine escaping you before daniel pulled away. he didn’t pull away fully though, leaning in and placing a chaste peck on your lips before stepping back.
“well, you know what they say,” he says as he licks his lips, eyeing you up. you tilt your head, beckoning him to go on.
“third time’s the charm, right?” he winks, taking a few steps back. “and lucky for you, three’s my lucky number,” he finished, before doing a 180 and delving back into the crowd.
“so, when were you going to tell me about this?” your friend exclaims, after struggling to stay silent the full time.
and then, it wasn’t long before fate— or the host’s mischievous decorations— brought you together again. admittedly you were trying to leave the party unnoticed, slipping into the back hallway towards the coat rack, when daniel rounded the corner.
“going somewhere?” he asked, causing you to jump on the spot, head turning to him. you let out an exhale when you seeing it was only him, your body becoming less tense.
“well i was— shit nevermind,” you mumble, knowing there was no point lying now you were caught. “it’s getting late, i was going to head.”
“well, not before one last kiss i’d hope,” he let out, voice pitching up at the end. you looked up and your body slumped when you seen the mistletoe above you, again.
“how does this keep happening?” you ask,  half laughing but half seriously asking— because how?
“hey, i told you three was my lucky number. maybe the universe wants to show you,” he teased, walking to your side.
you bit your lip at how close he got so quickly, his cologne once again filling your nostrils and hypnotising you with thoughts of daniel and only daniel.
“maybe.. maybe it is,” you mumbled, taking one more step before there was no more space. your noses were right in front of one another, and you could feel daniel’s hot breath against you. his gaze flicked to your mouth before returning back to your eyes.
“will you let me show you?” he asked, voice barely a whisper. you didn’t even respond, closing the gap between you both instantly.
this kiss wasn’t short or playful like the other two had been, this one was different. this one truly meant something. it deepened quickly, daniel’s hand moving to your waist as he pulled your front against his own. you lost yourself in the kiss, his lips moving against yours with such ease and confidence that your knees started to feel weak.
when you finally pulled apart, daniel’s head rested gently upon your own, his breath warm against your cheek.
“don’t leave yet,” he muttered, his voice husky. “stay, and i’ll show you a good time. i know you haven’t had one tonight,” he finished, licking his lips.
you pondered for a few moments, before you gave in and nodded. “okay, okay. i’ll stay,” you agreed, cheeks heating up at the smile he gave you.
“let’s start with getting out this hallway, hm?” he winked, reaching out for your hand and taking it.
daniel guided you further into the back, head dipping into rooms to make sure they weren’t already occupied. thankfully, it didn’t take him too long to find a free room, and he stood to the side to allow you to enter first.
“much better,” he mumbled, locking the bedroom door before turning round to see you. you were perched on the end of the bed, staring up at him and keeping your gaze on him as he slowly stalked towards you.
daniel’s hand moved to your hair, gently pushing it back, with a little force so that your head tilted back along with it. “you’re gorgeous,” he broke the silence, causing your cheeks to blossom with warmth. “i wasn’t expecting to meet anyone here tonight, and then i bumped into you. and admittedly, i was hoping we’d keep meeting under that mistletoe.”
you giggled and shook your head, moving your head to the side, but daniel’s hand slid down to catch you by the cheek, making you look at him. “don’t hide that pretty face from me,” he let out quietly.
daniel’s thumb brushed against your cheek again, the touch warm and deliberate. his eyes searched yours momentarily, and the intensity of his gaze made your breath hitch. slowly, he leaned in so his lips were hovering your own.
when he kissed you, it was soft and unhurried, now that he finally had you to himself. his lips moved against yours with gentle confidence, his hand still cradling your cheek as he did so. you melted into him, your hands finding their way to the fabric of his sweater, curling into the wooly fabric as you pulled him closer.
“you’re incredible,” he murmured between kisses, his words making your cheeks burn hotter. his other hand slid to your ass, sliding his arm under to lift you further up onto the bed. the pressure of his lips and the way his tongue teased you sent heat right to your core.
as your bodies grew closer, the world outside the room disappeared entirely. there was nobody else, no christmas party— just daniel. just daniel with his scratchy stubble, warm hands, and his soft, heart-shaped lips.
when you pulled back for the first time, you moved so your head was against the pillows, titled right back. daniel moved accordingly. legs at either side of you as he leaned in to place a soft kiss on your lips.
“i can’t stop looking at you,” he admitted lowly, eyes mapping your body. “you’re so beautiful, sweetheart.”
his words sent a fresh wave of heat through you, but that wasn’t the only reason. daniel moved onto your neck now that you had given him easy access, placing wet kisses all against your skin.  your eyes fluttered shut, soft breathe escaping you as he continued to give your neck the attention it needed.
his hands trailed down your body slowly, fingers running in different directions before they all ended at the same destination; the hem of your sweater. daniel placed one last kiss to your neck before he pulled back, and you tilted your head round to see him.
“can i?” he asked softly, gently tugging on the hem to give you an idea on what he was talking about. you agreed of course, nodding as you lifted your arms up, allowing daniel to get your sweater off with ease.
his eyes raked over you, resting on your chest for the most part but they trailed down your stomach, eyeing the clothed area that was his final goal. he placed a soft kiss on your stomach, before leaving a trail of them upwards and the final one was placed upon your sternum.
suddenly, his hands were on each of your breasts, pushing them closer to his face as he littered kisses over each of them. he started with your right, soft lips running over it as he placed the lightest kisses over your skin, moving up towards your nipple before he placed a soft, teasing kiss atop it, moving to your left breast.
you shined whined out at the light tease, but you had no reason to fear, as he took a different approach with your left breast. the kisses were a little harsher, there were more biting this time around, and when he trailed his tongue up to your nipple, he swirled his tongue around it in a circle before sucking on it gently.
the moan you let out in return was satisfying enough for him, and he pulled back to watch your flushed face. his hands squeezed your breasts softly, and daniel admired you as you writhed at the pleasure that coursed through your body.
“perfect.. you’re so perfect,” he told you, thumbs running across your hardened nipples gently. “i can’t believe you’ve been hiding from me all my life.”
you flushed at the praise, but tried to distract yourself with helping daniel pull off his own sweater. it took a moment to get off his head, his curls bouncing around from the roughhousing which made you both giggle. you only had a short moment to admire his chest, and eye his prominent happy trail before daniel’s lips were back on yours.
daniel unloosened his belt, throwing it off to the side as he slid his trousers off, and while he done that you got your bottom half undressed too. when you both met again face-to-face on the bed, you were both stark naked, yet your eyes were still glued to each other.
he moved closer, his nose rubbing against your own before he placed a soft kiss against your lips. “i want to make you feel so good, sweetheart.”
your hands moved to his head, fingers threading through his curls and tugging them gently. his lips landed on yours again, kissing you softly, delicately— as if you’d break, otherwise.
“i need you danny,” you mutter as you pull away, giving him a pleading look. “please make me feel good,” you tell him, placing a kiss on the corner of his lips.
daniel doesn’t need to be told twice, positioning his cock so that his tip was nudging at your entrance. he looked up to you, one last time to silently ask ‘is this okay?’ and when you nodded, he was given the go ahead.
daniel pushed himself into you slowly, stretching you out on his thick cock. you couldn’t help the string of moans that escaped you as he pushed further into you, filling you up with just him.
his eyes wondered to yours, light worry sparking in them. “you alright?” he asks, waiting until you reply before he dares to move.
it takes you a moment as you gulp before letting out a deep exhale through your nose, trying to get used to his size. “yeah i’m… i’m okay,” you confirm, giving him a soft smile to reassure him.
daniel began to move slowly, but not in a teasing way— moreso in a way to make sure you were alright, and could get used to his size at a steady pace. daniel’s head fell forward, forehead resting against yours as he thrusted in and out of you.
your whines and pants only spurred him on, and he had to hold himself back from going faster. you could tell he was holding back too, so you grabbed his face to pull him in for a kiss. “please danny, move faster,” you asked desperately, and how could he deny you?
daniel done so as soon as the words left your mouth, speeding up his pace just like you requested. daniel couldn’t stop himself from moving his head back to your neck, kissing over the skin as he breathed in your intoxicating scent. he groaned lowly after he inhaled, teeth sinking into the skin of your neck.
“you— fuck, you feel so good,” he mutters into your neck, nose pressed deeply against it as if he was entranced by the scent of you. “and you’re so beautiful. you’re perfect, and i can’t believe we just met,” he continues, kissing your neck and trailing it up your chin, moving to place a passionate kiss on your lips. “got so much lost time to make up on baby, and i’m going to be in you for most of it.”
daniel’s words were hypnotising, the deep grumble of his low accented voice, as well as the power of his words had you inching closer to the edge. you thrusted your hips up against him, desperate to feel more of him— all of him.
“please danny— shit.. need you, need this,” you plead, arms moving around his shoulders so your nails could scrape down his tanned, toned back.
“come on then sweetheart,” he encouraged you, forehead resting against yours again as he started to thrust into you faster, feeling himself get closer too. “finish for me, show me how much tonight has meant to you,” he whispered, lips crashing onto yours one last time before your orgasm came coursing through you.
your body trembled as you couldn’t do anything but moan, and whine out daniel’s name. your hips continued to buck up as you rode out your orgasm, and that only pushed daniel towards his own. the movements, the sight of you, the pleas falling from your mouth— it was all too much for daniel to keep it together.
daniel is a smart man, he pulls out just before the coil snaps for him. his hand wraps around his aching, bright red cock, stroking it up and down to help him with his orgasm. you’re still in a daze from your own, but through hooded eyes you watch daniel rutting into his own hand, head tiled right back as the cum came out of his cock, slicking up his hand just nicely.
after daniel’s was over, he slumped forward and fell onto the bed beside you. he turned to you, admiring you despite the flushed cheeks, messy hair and panting chest. he moved his hand— the clean one, obviously— up to your face, pulling you in to give you one last soft kiss.
“you’re absolutely amazing sweetheart,” he told you again, voice hoarse from the noises he had been making just moments before. “and i’m serious when i say i want to see you again, and make up for lost time. i’m drawn to you baby, won’t be able to stop thinking about you.”
you giggle at daniel’s words, nodding and moving your face to kiss the palm of his hand that held your cheek.
“i’d like that too, danny.”

THE MORNING AFTER
hamzahthefantastic x reader
‎𐰁𖦹°⋆ When you wake up after a night out in a strangers bed, the two of you desperately try and figure out the events of that night, and how you ended up in his bed.
———————-
I stir in bed, awakening to a headache that pierces my skull. I shift in the covers lazily, snuggling into the warmth of them as cool air filtered the room.
Just as I’m near the the point of drifting back to sleep, I feel an arm drape over me. I sit upright immediately in shock, my eyes wide as they land across a dark curly haired man, who seems cosy in bed beside me. My mind begins racing, my heart beating uncontrollably fast as I stare at him, extremely confused, realising he was shirtless.
My eyes tear away from him, to the room surrounding me, and my jaw gapes wide open, as the room looking back at me wasn’t mine. The question running through my head, was how the fuck did i end up here, in this house, in this man’s bed?
Suddenly, the man in bed starts to stir, his eyes opening blearily as he wipes his curls away from his eyes, yawning softly, completely unaware.
That is, until his eyes adjust to the morning light peering through the window, and his expression becomes bewildered, stumbling out of the bed, wrapping the covers around his exposed body.
“Why are you in my bed? Who are you?” He exclaimed, his eyes widening as they scanned over me.
“I don’t know! I don’t even know who you are, or why I’m here, or.. even where the fuck I am!” I nervously ramble, my head in my hands as I avoid eye contact with him, my cheeks flushing pink.
He tilts his head as he continues to look me up and down with wide eyes, making me all the more flustered as i realised my attire, and the lack of clothes covering me.
“I was hoping that you’d be able to fill me in on what happened last night too” he asks, his breathing slowing down as he began to calm himself.
“My head is fucking killing me, and all I even vaguely remember is that one of my friends invited me to this party last night..” I recall, sitting down on the edge of his bed as I try and remember more of the previous night.
He slowly nods his head as you speak, smirking slightly as he gets a good look at you in your underwear.
“You and me both, this hangover isn’t fun”He responds, scratching the back of his head as he groans, feeling the effects of the alcohol from the night before still.
“Any more details coming back to you?”
I sigh, frustrated, until I get an idea.
“Wait, your phone. Where is it?” I ask frantically, thoughts and ideas flooding my mind.
He chuckles at my eagerness to be on his phone, clearly amused by it. He stretches to grab his phone that was charging on the beside table, handing it to me.
“There you go” he smiles, sitting down on the bed beside me, leaning back.
“Did you take any pictures last night, or post anything?” I question, giving the phone back to him so he could enter his passcode, my fingers dancing against his as I do, causing my heart rate to go up just that little bit faster.
He leaned in close to me, his muscular build now almost touching mine, grinning as he watched me fidget with my fingers as he enters the passcode. He opens up his photos, scrolling through photos and videos from the night before.
“I got a few, yeah” he mentions, scrolling through the dozens he had saved.
“Show me” i whisper, almost scared to look, just incase, as I lean closer to him, peering over his shoulder to face the small phone.
He snickers at how close I’ve gotten, obviously liking having my body practically pressed against his. He opens up one of the videos, showing a clip of me and him, clearly drunk, dancing together in the middle of the table.
I groan, running my hands through my hair as my cheeks flush bright pink, embarrassment overcoming me at my past, drunken self.
“Just.. skip to the next one” i cringe, hearing my past drunken self singing through the speaker.
He chuckles at my embarrassed state, thoroughly enjoying my reaction. He skips to the next video, where we see a video of me and him standing next to each other, and I’m clearly trying to balance myself on his much larger frame as i struggle to stand up straight.
I can faintly hear the sound of my girlish giggling over the music, making me feel like vomiting due to how much desperation leaked off of me.
He continues to scroll through the videos for a little while longer, showing us both in various compromising positions on the couch, floor, bathroom, even the kitchen. He smirks to himself as i become more flustered, before finally returning to the main camera roll.
“Well” he grinned, turning to face me, our faces merely inches apart.
“That explains a lot”
“Remind me never to go out ever again and keep myself locked up in my house forever” i groan, rubbing my eyes intensely until I begin seeing stars.
He laughs gently at my dramatic exclamation, as he reaches his hand out to brush a strand of hair behind my ear, enjoying how flustered i looked.
“Don’t be so hard on yourself, trust me, we were both just as bad as each other” he sighs, leaning back again his bed once again.
A silence fills the air between us, not awkward, just comfortable as our minds race with different thoughts, and confusing conversations.
We both turn to each other, at the same time, speaking over one another.
“I don’t eve-“
“Listen I’m-“
We both pause, laughing slightly, until he motions his head towards me, and i go first.
“I don’t even know your name..” I admit, wondering if he ever told me it to begin with.
He chuckles as i admit that i don’t know his name, clearly amused by it.
“it’s Hamzah” he replies casually, before smirking.
“And what’s yours? other than the pretty girl that stumbled into my bed last night?”
Blush covers my face before I can help it, and I smile sheepishly. “It’s y/n. You’re so shameless” i laugh, slapping his arm lightly as he chuckles, his curls falling into his dark eyes.
He grins in response to my shyness, clearly enjoying my reaction to his shameless flirting.
He looks down at my arms as i slap his, taking my wrists in his hands, his fingers almost completely circling my arms.
“You’re cute when you’re flustered” he teases, knowing how to get a rise out of me at this point. How I wish I was sober enough to remember last night..
I freeze, memories from last night flooding my head as my heart begins to panic, beating faster and faster.
“I should probably, uh, leave. Get out of here, you know..” i say awkwardly, standing up from the warm spot on the bed beside him, and looking around the room for my discarded clothes, evidence of our interaction last night.
I’d never gotten this close with someone before, and certainly not a man I had met the night before. It was surreal, how easy it was to talk to him, but I knew I needed to slow down.
He watches me as i stand up from the bed, his dark eyes trailing all over my body, shamelessly appreciating the view. He lets out a light sigh, not making an effort to stop me.
“Yeah.. probably should”
He mumbles, also standing up, the sheets falling from around his waist to the floor, revealing his muscular bare torso, causing my heart to drop to my stomach, as was forced to peel my eyes away.
I grab the wrinkled clothes, throwing them on me, as I tug my shoes on. A part of me wished he wanted me to stay, but at this point, I’d felt as though I’d overstayed my welcome, and was sadly prepared to never see this man again, no matter how much I would yearn for it.
He stands there, in nothing but low hung sweatpants, watching me throw on my clothes, his muscular chest on full display, showing his broad shoulders and defined collarbone.
He notices my slightly flustered expression as i look up at him. He grins, clearly enjoying the way i was staring at him, before speaking up again.
“You really in a hurry to leave, sweetheart?”
“I’ll get out of your hair, stop bothering you. Just give me-“ i huff, struggling to get my shoe on.
These fucking converse would be the death of me.
He chuckles at my frustration, watching me struggle with putting on my shoe, still half naked as his strong arms cross over his broad chest. He watches me carefully for a moment as i struggle, before stepping forward.
“Let me help you, silly”
He grins, moving to kneel down in front of me, grabbing my foot gently and guiding it into the shoe.
I sigh, pink creeping in my cheeks as he got to his knees in front of me.
“Thank you, Hamzah.” I spoke, tasting his name on my tongue, and enjoying the way it felt.
He smiled to himself as i said his name, clearly enjoying how i sounded when i said it, evident by the expression on his face.
He finished helping me put on my shoe, gently setting my foot back down on the floor. He looked up at me from his knelt position, peering up at me with a sly grin, his face now even closer to my body than before. He slowly got up, bringing me with him, as we both stood facing each other.
“No problem” He replied, his hands finding their way to my hips, his calloused palms settling on the skin beneath my cropped shirt, as I began to feel as though I might melt under his touch.
I softly gasp, a little breathless, as his fingers dance their way further up my shirt, leaving a trail of fire as they did.
Suddenly, the doorbell rings, causing us to fly apart, my skin cooling as his touch departs.
He groans, rolling his eyes as the doorbell rings, a look of annoyance crossing his face.
“Stay here. I know who that is. I’ll be right back” He mutters.
He quickly disappears out of the room, heading for the front door.
I’m still stunned from our interaction, but I follow him, not listening to his commands. I needed to see who was at the door. Who interrupted our moment..
He strides hurriedly down the hall towards the front door, still in nothing but his low-hung sweatpants.
After opening the door, and then promptly slamming it shut, he lets out a frustrated sigh, turning to head back to his room to get a shirt, but stops in his tracks when he sees me following behind him.
“I told you to stay in my room” He says, his eyes brows furrowing as his brown eyes glance over me, my dishevelled state.
“Obviously I’m not gonna do that, be real. Whose at the door?” I question, my voice unwavering as I roll my eyes.
He rolls his eyes in response.
“It’s my stupid friend, Martin. He’s probably just here to gloat at me about getting with a girl last night too” he shakes his head, rubbing his hands over his face briefly.
Relief floods from me, whether i wanted it to or not.
He sighs as he says this, seemingly annoyed by the idea of his friend coming over just to rub another hookup in his face.
“I’ll uh, get to going then..” i mutter, avoiding his eyes as I fix my short shirt on my body awkwardly. I didn’t want to make it uncomfortable between him and his friend, and I knew I was outstaying my welcome.
The.. interaction we just had, was maybe just that. An interaction.
He stands in front of me, looking down into my eyes. He could tell that i was a mixture of frustrated and disappointed from his friend interrupting us both, and he felt the same way.
He reaches a hand up to brush my hair behind my ear, just like how he did earlier.
“I’ll walk you out” he mumbles, unlocking the door.
I let out a breathe I didn’t know I was holding, and when he swings the door open, and his friend sees us, he smirks.
He groans at the sight of his friend’s smirk, knowing exactly what his expression was for.
His friend’s eyes dart to me as he looks me up and down, clearly taking in how i was dressed in last night’s clothes.
His grin widens as he notices my flustered expression.
Hamzah grabs my wrist, his touch enlightening me, and slides us past his friend, who enters Hamzahs apartment nonchalantly, slamming the door behind him.
Any more slams, and that door would be knocked off its hinges.
His friend lets out a chuckle that’s heard through the other side of the door, as Hamzah drags me out of the apartment quickly, obviously aware that he was annoyed with his friend’s presence, and trying to get as far away from him as possible.
He keeps a firm grip on my wrist as he pulls me outside, letting out a sigh once we’re outside and away from his friend.
I sigh, looking around at the exterior of the apartment building, and recognising it. “I can walk back to my place from here..”
He pauses for a moment, letting my wrist slip from his grip. He looks down at me, his face showing he was feeling frustrated by the fact that he knew this was the end of things, and that I was about to leave.
“Are you sure? it’s kind of late. you shouldn’t walk on your own”
I smile, giggling. “It’s 11am, Hamzah.” I remind him, the daylight shining on us in the cold autumnal air.
He groans, facepalming himself at his own stupidity, causing me to let out a small chuckle, appreciating how he cared for me, however small it was, before running his hand over his face, the reality of the situation finally setting in.
He looks down at me again, his dark eyes searching mine, desperately trying to look for an excuse to keep me there longer.
The silence between us is unfathomable, and I can’t take it anymore.
“I’ll maybe see you around Hamzah.” I finally speak, breaking the tension between us, wrapping my arms around myself as I shiver, his arms not there to keep me warm anymore.
Hamzah watches me wrap my arms around myself, taking notice of the light shiver that passes through me. He sighs.
“Yeah. Maybe we’ll run into each other again sometime” He mutters bitterly, knowing it’s a lie the second the words leave his teeth.
I gently lean in, kissing him on the cheek, my warm lips on his cold face, as I smile, my heart heavy in my chest, and turn away from him, walking away.
As I take those steps, I can feel the weight of what just happened lingering in the air. It was brief, yet somehow profound, like a fleeting moment that leaves a mark.
I felt as though I had a connection with him, one that just wasn’t made too last. It was a moment, that I enjoyed, and appreciated in all its glory. But once a moment passes, you must let it move on.
I glance back, my eyes locking on his, catching a glimpse of his small, subtly sad smile, a reminder of the connection we shared, however little it was.
There's a bittersweet taste in my mouth, a mix of nostalgia and the realization that sometimes, moments are meant to be just that—moments.

He watches you walk farther away, his mind spinning in circles. He stands there on the sidewalk, his head swimming with a concoction of thoughts and emotions.
He couldn’t figure out why he was so reluctant to let you go, why he felt his heart ache in his chest watching you walk away.
He wanted to run up to you, to grab your hand and tug you back towards him, but just as quickly as the thought appeared in his head, it vanished.
Gone, not just for now, but for forever.
