Ever since I read this in a fanfic I can't stop thinking about the idea of Ghoul raised!Papa V and my takes on it cause akdbwsnqksnqksnq I love ittt.

Perpetua, who, after birth, was shipped off to live with ghouls bc Sister Imperator figured it was a good way to keep him both isolated and safe until he'd eventually be needed.

Perpetua who grows up with little to no actual human contact and the depth of his knowledge occasionally comes from novels or the occasional movie/show on the TV instead and therefore grows up accidentally adopting some of the ghoul's behaviours.

Perpetua who grows up to have odd eating habits because occasionally he'd eat the same things as the ghouls around him so now his body doesn't get screwed over by things like raw meat.

Perpetua who ends up being a bit 'unsettling' because he doesn't realise that you shouldn't stare for too long or that most people don't bear their teeth so much when they smile or that most people don't silently walk around in the shadows

Perpetua who when he gets brought to the ministry does actually want to befriend his brother but also doesn't know how to do that.

Perpetua who's first idea is to give Copia gifts and decides to leave him little bones as trinkets - Copia is just freaked out and Perpetua doesn't get what he's doing wrong (even when he moves on with his gifts it's like Copia thinks he's trying to undermine him, even tho Perpetua is trying his hardest)

Perpetua who wants to try and befriend all of the previous ghouls but is very good at telling ghoul body language and behaviour and can tell that they're still wary of him and miss Copia and therefore backs away for a little bit

Perpetua who doesn't actually know how to interact with any of the Siblings of Sin properly and learns the hard way that he's seen as a bit 'disturbing' because of the way he act cause he's never had to think about it before.

Perpetua who's first 'friend' in a new place is the newly summoned ghoulette Solaris/Umbra because they're both new and she doesn't have as much underlying sadness of losing her old Papa like the rest of the current ghouls do

Perpetua who's nervous before his first Rirual because *yes* he knows that people apparently liked the songs he released and the music videos that came with them, but what if they don't like *him* or think he's *creepy* or are upset he replaced his brother?

Perpetua who after his first ritual is delighted because actually the fans *loved* his voice and look and (supposedly) unsettling smile (and maybe understands why Copia dislikes him a little more now that he's felt the rush of performing live)

Headcanon that even after having his fill of whatever neck he desires, ascended Astarion always ends any feeding with a bite and sip of his consort. They were his first, and they're still the little treat he saves for himself as his last bite of every meal so he can end it with his favorite taste in his mouth.

sorry to say but the maker-fledgling/parent-child relationship dynamics make DM so much juicier. and i don't mean that in a kinky way in the slightest i mean it's insane to be adamant about never having a child for 500 years, break that vow on a whim and then be a deadbeat dad for a bit. and also on the more lighthearted and sappy side of things it's really interesting for a dying man in his 70s to be given another shot at life, with eternity ahead of him and the power of an ancient in his veins to inherit over the course of that eternity. idk idk! it's just neat.

you know i don't even really care what they do with armand and daniel going forward (or... back) because armand has already had his teeth in daniel's neck and daniel has already filled himself up and been reborn with armand's blood. that boundary between them has been shattered, armand's broken his 500 year long vow, they both have the same blood in their veins, they're as close as they can get without climbing inside each other. and nothing that happens going forward is ever gonna change that 😌 the bond that can never fully be severed

@alittlebitofrainbyyourside inspired me, a few months ago, to write something about vampires and biting.

soo i'm thinking about sire phayu who's fangs are aching. it flares up occasionally because of his improper vampire development phase (long story short, phayu was neglected as a fledgling and thus has some "defective" vampire traits).

when phayu's fangs ache, they ache like a bitch, bc of Vampire Urges, he needs to sink his teeth into something. hard. preferably repeatedly. he'd use to teeth on wood, but it's not the most comfortable thing to chew, not to mention it doesn't taste great (phayu, having the rare vampire phenomenon of having functioning taste buds).

enter fledgling rain, who is eager to help his sire. a bit too eager. when rain's teeth ache, phayu offers him his thigh/neck to fang warm, so it's only right that rain returns the favour. he offers himself as a chew toy, baring his pale neck and blinking up at phayu innocently. waiting for phayu to use him and bite him.

phayu who might be a bit hesitant initially because he's afraid of overwhelming and hurting rain. he's extra careful with the pain control, making sure rain feels as little as possible, making sure his bite stings as less as he can make them. making careful little bites in the fat of his shoulder.

and then rain who, very rudely, grabs phayu by the hair, pulling him away from his neck. phayu who overlooks the insubordination and is just about to apologise when rain whines because phayu isn't biting hard enough!

phayu is a bit confused, but honestly, he should've seen it coming bc rain is a pain slut and he knows. i think he's just so used to being Too Much for his other partners that he treats rain the same way by default - like he's glass. (honestly phayus fault for corrupting rain tho ngl)

anyways. phayu who starts to play down the numbing effects of his bites. waiting for rain to have one of his mouthy little rants before phayu bites him down hard. rain letting out a wobbly yelp of surprise. phayu deciding he loves the way rain sounds when he cries, so pretty and wrecked. having to bite him again and again and again.

next time he won't use his aching fangs as an excuse. next time he'll bite so hard that it draws up blood, blood warm from rain's previous feed (basically, phayu's own "blood", lmao). no longer showing any inhibition when digging his fangs into rain. in fact, using his sire control to further disable rain's pain control, making the sensation of the bite feel further heightened.

(i think it'd make rain cum on the spot. phayu continuing regardless, praising rain for taking his bites so well, praising rain for being so pretty when he cries, his voice so beautiful when he screams from pain and over sensitivity.)

just! biting! biting biting biting! clearly i am missing the og vampire boys a little bit :,))

tbh,, it was thinking about vampkimchay that had me thinking back to vampphayurain (love bites au) and how i just completely stopped writing them because i couldn't get past the courting stage. the story needed to continue with phayu trying to court rain. i thought smut was the hard part to write but i didn't consider ✨feelings✨ would be the scarier thing. let's not get into how that reflects on me personally LOL but anyways!
