my tsats 2 expectations!
Nico looking healthier: At the end of tsats1 we see him thinking "how could i not eat when it gives so much pleasure?" or smt like that. I can see him improving significantly his eating habits and at least gaining a bit of muscular mass (is that how we put it?), which will make him more powerful, since normally eating a grape a day might reduce your necromancy powers.
Nico being cute: we can absolutely expect that he will be insufferable next to will in this book. Like, he was already being the cringiest nerd ever at the first book, where he still had a LOT of emotional limitations, he wouldnt let go of will, always touching him and showing absurd amounts of affection through his touch. We can expect him being a little shit even more now that he seems to be getting more and more comfortable with wills touch.
TEENAGER COCOA PUFFS: (god i love this one). I think it could be something like: the more nico grows comfortable with aspects of his trauma, the more the cocoa puffs grow. The more he accepts and deals with shame, the more the little ball of darkness grows until it actually evolves as something with a physical form. I remember seeing something about the cocoapuffs taking animal forms as they grow and i LOVE this concept. Imagine some monster or deity trying to taunt nico with shame or envy and this teenager sized bear shows up from the darkness. God, i cant, nico is the coolest character EVER.
COCOA PUFFS: i like the concept of them also growing independet, as much as the idea of some little balls of darkness following nico is very dear to me, i also like the idea of them exploring the world or evolving as creatures too. They would be independent creatures but as an extention of nico, they have their own personalities, connected with their respective trauma but you can see the action part being similar to nicos.
COCOA PERSONALITIES: Shame being shy but when cornered they get angry and defensive. Envy being full of pride and "comunicative" but when triggered they get quiet and cold.
NICO GETTING HADES' BLESSING: i think one of the things most of the nico stans have in common is an absurd love for his demonstrations of power 🙂↕️. The thing with hades' blessing is: we dont know what it is, up to this point we havent seen anyone get it and deal with it yet, which is very cool because we can overpower it on our heads 🤭! I THINK, the hades blessing would act to counter the biggest weakness of most (ig) children of hades, it would waste way less energy. Of course it would seem sick, like making nico actually look and perform as a creature of the underworld, him getting horns, maybe? nico getting black eyes? his skin turning grey? his hair turning white? nico having less form? being completelly engulfed by shadows? God i loooove fanservice, lets go rick and mark yall have one job, and it is to make nico look like a dragon ball transformation, so we can look at it and think "sick". I like to think that his fighting style at this state merges with his powers, going for a kick at his oponents head then suddenly apearing behind them? sick. stealing the life of his oponents? killing them while healing himself from it? sick. getting shadows with venon around him? absolutely sick.
NICO BEING GOOD AT GAMES: i love gamer nico. It matches his personality soo well. That is like the best remedy to insomnia, right? Im not really a gamer myself aside from competitive online games, and i cant really imagine nico playing league (ew), but i could see him ending resident evil 7 in a night. Playing tomb raider? yes! I could see him playing most adventure, suspense and horror games, and the thing is: bitch can play the most gut wrenching games with the scariest jump scares EVER, and he wouldnt even flinch. on the other side, him getting easily scared by anything on this games would also be super funny. Bitch screaming like a prey runing from a lion while playing dbd. He went to tartarus and is dissolving by a jumpscare? funniest concept ever.
NICO LOOKING HANDSOME: and way more intimidating. With some sun, actually being happy for once, better eating habits and accepting himself i think he would look quite good. I see him now with very black hair and very black doe eyes, a full mouth and a very straight and a bit too big nose, a bony face shape and a little bit of eyebags. I like to think he still has these features but his face is really symetrical and his skin makes him look like a doll, his lips and beautifull but his eyes, even though they look beautiful, the look is haunting, and make you need to look away. He looks like he's reading your mind, but he also looks so handsome you want to keep looking. I think he has long lashes too, and his scar only makes him more intimidating, it is the only not symetrical thing on his face and it makes him stand out. He has a cold look in his eyes, you never know what he is thinking (aside from will that reads him like a book), and the fact that he is constantly getting healthier and more handsome is very haunting.
NICO ACCEPTING HIS GOOD PARTS AND WILL ACCEPTING HIS BAD PARTS: I think this one is my favorite so far, Nico being able to sustain himself in a fight, stealing life from oponents (i loooove this one), or simply learning how to heal because he understands that death and life are the same thing. While Will understands that not all lives are meant to be saved, and to save more lives it might take some difficult choices like not saving others. It might make him get the hability of necrosing things just like nico, or (like canon) giving diseases just like he heals.
thats it for now! english is not my first language! be kind.

Hi ! I love your work and I saw requests were open !! I was wondering if you could write something about Trickster going sentient, like reader is a DBD player and Trickster is their killer main and he's becoming sentient ! He starts acting yandere, getting mad when they buy another killer, talking to them through the game etc ? Pleaaase !!
----------
Thank you so much for appreciating my work!
And of course! Trickster has always been one of my favorite go-to killers as well. He still kind of is! He may not look terrifying at first glance, but what he’s capable of is what truly makes him scary to me. I tried to capture that feeling in this piece as well. Also, I believe his anger would actually be quite subtle, put potent in a way. He's called the Trickster for a reason after all. :P Especially towards his obsession.
PS: If any character in the game somehow became sentient, I’d throw my computer out immediately. Let alone a killer! I would totally freak out! xD
PSS: I don't know any Korean. If I messed it up by using translators wrong, I'm sorry in advance!
-----------
Warning!: NSFW elements present!
The Trickster

Ji-Woon Hak had always been your go-to killer. Maybe it was the thrill of playing him. The way he laughed in insanity, coupled with that crazed giggle as he chased survivors down, and the sheer passion and arrogance laced through his Korean voice lines. His presence in the game simply felt different from the others. All the way down to his disturbingly good chase music, which is an excellent representation to his character.
And as such, he’s indeed a star. Effortlessly charming and dangerously captivating. Before the Entity took him, the crowds adored him for a reason, oblivious to the gleam in his golden eyes when the screams began behind closed doors, embedded into his music like secret, bloody confessions. They never recognized the torture hidden in his music, layered beneath the melody like a secret only he was twisted enough to understand.
Killing wasn’t just second nature to Ji-Woon. It was the purest form of his self-expression.
And to you, that was the real horror. Because unlike many others in the Entity’s grasp, he wasn’t a monster made. He was a monster born. Just another handsome face, smiling for the cameras, waving to his adoring fans. His darkest secrets not buried, but hidden in plain sight. Or more so within earshot. And no one ever dared to hear them until it was too late.
Maybe that was why, after months of playing Dead by Daylight, you never really strayed from him. You bought his skins, experimented with his builds, mastered his mechanics and the precise arc of his blades. He was your constant pick.
So at first, the strange things that eventually started to happen didn’t really bother you.
It began in the character selection screen. His model glitched once. A wide smirk suddenly etching itself onto his features. He turned around more often while you waited in lobby, flashing you that saucy wink of his. There was a slight lag when you hovered over another killer, an occasional stutter in his idle animations, a minor bug where his eyes tracked your cursor just a bit too smoothly.
You decided to ignored it.
Then the loading screens started taking longer. Freezing for a second too long when his face suddenly appeared, as if the game itself hesitated. And once, in the middle of a match, you left the desk for a moment to grab something from your drawer, letting the killer stand idle in a house in Springwood.
That was when you heard it, just as you returned. Faint. Threading between the distant caws of crows and the crackle of the Entity’s realm. A voice, which sounded silky and teasing. Familiar.
"Getting distracted, 자기야1?"
Your hand jerked on the mouse. It had to be a bug. A voice line triggering where it shouldn’t. You brushed it off as a trick of the mind.
Then, after a while, the disconnects started. Not often, but just enough to be annoying. Almost every time you played another killer, you’d be booted mid-match. No error message. Just a sudden return to the desktop. Whenever you played survivor, you almost always found yourself facing the Trickster, with a hint of a stutter as you tried to get your character away from him.
But when you played as Ji-Woon himself? Smooth. No lag. No crashes.
Still, you pushed it aside. Games had bugs. Maybe the servers were acting up. You refused to get paranoid over minor issues, or the fact that barely any other killer ever appeared when you played survivor. Perhaps you just had a weird streak of fate.
Then, one night after watching a video, you tabbed back into the game and noticed that his theme music in the killer selection menu was different. Slower and warped. Like it was played underwater. The Trickster was staring at you. Not in his usual cocky way, but with his head tilted slightly, his smile smaller than usual and his golden eyes literally locked onto yours. As if he were waiting for something.
The screen glitched once, then again, and everything returned to normal. But matches grew even more strange after that. Survivors went down faster, their screams more real and distorted and their models twitching unnaturally. It scared you.
If you played as a different killer, you’d get disconnected mid-match much faster. Yet whenever you switched back to Trickster, the game stabilized.
Then one night, you apparently made a mistake. Out of curiosity, you went up and purchased another killer. the Oni, which you considered to be a change of pace. The moment you returned to the killer selection screen, it flickered; static sprinkling the menu. Trickster’s model was there on the right, but his grin had vanished. His head tilted, his bright pupils narrowed into thin slits of displeasure.
Your hands trembled over the keyboard. “It’s just a game…” you murmured, shaking your head and blinking a few times. Then his voice, unlike any recorded line or in-game effect, but unmistakably real, echoed through your headset. Smooth and cold.
"Not to me, 공주2."
Deep down, you knew this game was no longer the same. But you played it off as a lack of sleep this time around, shut down the PC, and took a well-earned break.
You naively came back a few hours later. You loaded into the Temple of Purgation, picking the Oni. You’d bought him for a reason, after all. But as the match began, the camera panned over the environment and, for a split second just before it faded to your POV, you saw him.
Not the Oni. The Trickster.
He stood at the very edge of the mists, just beyond the temple’s crumbling stone archways. The fog curled unnaturally around him, clinging to his figure like something alive, shifting and parting just enough to reveal the glow of his golden eyes. He wasn’t moving, wasn’t part of the match. He was just… watching.
The moment you took control, he was gone. Your fingers twitched over the keyboard. That wasn’t normal. Maybe a graphical glitch? Some weird overlap from previous matches? You shook it off and pressed forward.
At first, the game ran fine. You chased down survivors, activated your power, played the match as you normally would. But something felt off. A heaviness in the air, a strange, crawling sensation at the back of your neck. Then the game began to stutter. Not lag and neither was it a bug. The frames dragged deliberately, as if the game itself resisted your input. The Oni’s movements felt sluggish, like wading through thick and invisible muck.
And then came the laughter. Soft and breathy, slithering between the sounds of gameplay.
"Tch. This isn’t like you, 자기야1. You’d rather be that clunky old fossil than me? Where’s your sense of taste?" His accent runs heavy alongside the bite in his tone.
Your blood ran cold. That wasn’t an in-game line. Your eyes flicked to one of the killer’s perk icons. Oni’s nemesis perk, just as you’d chosen. For a brief moment, Ji-Woon’s smirking face in a similar art style replaced it before snapping back. Your stomach twisted as another hitch in the frame rate distorted the screen. Pixels twisting as if a presence bled into the code.
"You're ignoring me," he observed, his voice still smooth but tinged with bitter distaste.
The game audio warped beyond recognition, the chase music slowed to a sickening drag then sped up erratically, like a scratched CD skipping. The survivors’ animations twitched unnaturally. Every time you activated the killer’s skill, the deep, guttural roar sounded way off. Higher, smoother, mocking. Obviously replaced with the voice of a certain Killer. "Not so fun, huh?" You hear him huff in amusement, teasing you as he does.
Frustrated, you slammed the Escape key. Nothing happened. The match wasn’t over, but you couldn’t do this anymore. With shaky hands, you forced your PC off manually, the screen cutting to black. Your reflection stared back at you in the dark monitor with wide eyes reflecting unease. You ripped off your headset and exhaled hard. It was just a game, you told yourself. You even debated uninstalling it. But that was ridiculous, wasn’t it? It’s just a game.
So you didn’t play it for the rest of the night.
The next day, curiosity won out. You had planned to delete the game. To scrub it from your system and be done with whatever hellish events had occurred. But after you booted up your PC, a Steam pop-up appeared.
Your pulse quickened as you skimmed the message.
Dead by Daylight – Security Update
A large leak had been addressed. Some players had reported strange in-game activity. An exploit that allowed hackers to take control of matches, resulting in unusual interactions. The developers apologized for the inconvenience. As compensation, a DLC of your choice would be free upon logging in.
Your fingers hovered over the mouse. This had to be the reason. Just some script kiddies messing with the servers, triggering audio or animation glitches. You exhaled a sigh of relief and launched the game.
The menu loaded smoothly, the music creating a subtle backdrop as you navigated the interface. Your gaze shifted to the killer selection screen. Trickster stood in his usual spot after you’d selected him. His stance casual yet confident, the infamous bat balanced nonchalantly on his shoulder. He executed that distinct head tilt. The one accompanied by an unnecessarily seductive "ah,". At that moment, his animation seemed to hesitate, his eyes lingering on the screen a fraction longer than usual. The light caught his left earring, making it glint momentarily before falling back against his neck due to retaining the previous angle of his head. Then, just as smoothly, the bat returned to his side.
Despite the brief, unsettling pause, his expression remained unchanged. A confident smirk played across his lips when he moved to inspect his bat, his golden eyes glinting with sharp amusement, as if privy to a joke you hadn’t yet figured out. No flickering. No static. Everything appeared perfectly normal.
Your tense shoulders loosened slightly. Maybe you had imagined it all. The breach is fixed, after all. You claimed your free DLC, already planning to test out the desired killer and survivor later. But first… just one more match with the Trickster.
Your cursor hovered over the Play button for a second before you clicked. The match queued instantly. No lobby, no loading delay, no lag. Your gut twisted. As the screen transitioned, unease slithered down your spine. The game had loaded, but something was obviously wrong.
The usual environmental sounds; distant caws of crows, the occasional metallic groan of the Entity’s influence, were gone. You panned the first-person camera over the map. No survivors moved between cover. No crows startled into the air. No gens sparking in the distance. Just you. Alone.
Your eyes darted to the UI. The HUD was intact- your abilities, perks, and power displayed as they should be. And yet, there were no objectives. No unseen timer counting down. No signs of life. Just silence. A cold prickle crawled over your skin.
Then, a soft chuckle. Rich, amused, present. "Finally. Just us." Your breath hitched. The sound came through your headset. Close. Way too close.
The screen flickered. Your blood ran cold.
No…
You tried moving Trickster forward, pressing the left mouse button to swing through the empty air. He responded as normal. Smooth, precise, as if performing a well-rehearsed act. But there was nothing to do. No generators humming to life, no players fleeing, no exit gates. The map lay barren, stripped of its usual chaos. Each time you struck the environment in boredom, a mocking chuckle, sly and knowing, echoed in your ears.
Desperate, you opened the pause menu, but there was no option to leave the game. Your fingers trembled over the keyboard as you muttered, “What the hell is it this time?”
Then a soft laugh, closer and intimate, as though whispered from right beside you. "Aw, don’t look so spooked,공주님2. Isn’t this what you wanted? More time with me?"
Without warning, the camera shifted. Its movement not commanded by you, but as if pulled by an unseen hand. The perspective tilted down ever so slightly, as if the Trickster was studying himself.
No. As if he was studying you.
"You play me so often," his voice purred, smooth as silk and dripping with amusement. "Devoted, aren’t you? You never thought I’d actually notice, did you? Never thought I’d appreciate your little habits?" A chill crawled up your spine.
“This can’t be it. This isn’t real,” you whispered, almost pleading. “You are not sentient,” you insisted, but your voice wavered- thinning into uncertainty.
"Mmm, that's what you keep telling yourself," he replied, that familiar, teasing lilt threading through his tone. "A cute little parrot, endlessly repeating the same little song. 정말 웃기잖아, 자기야3. If only you repeated my name like that instead. I’m as real as I can get. " Your breathing grew shallow.
Then something shifted in the distance. A subtle, unnatural shadow moving where it shouldn’t be. You spun the camera up and to the side, heart hammering, but the map remained empty. Still, the sensation of being watched crawled over your skin. Your hands grew clammy as you gripped the mouse like a lifeline. You needed to leave. Now.
Alt + F4. Task Manager. Nothing worked. Your pulse pounded in your ears. Your body braced for a potential scenario- the chase, the hunt, the moment his blades would sink into your flesh. You weren’t special. You were just another victim…
Right?
Then the screen flickered. A brief stutter, a pause. For a fraction of a second, the game froze, and when it stabilized, Trickster’s weapon was gone. He wasn’t on it anymore.
Your hands froze over the keyboard for a second, before you abruptly stood up and took a step back, already leaning down to forcibly shut down the computer. A hand suddenly shot towards you after it suddenly angled its way back onto the screen. Distinctively bloody as it reached for you. You gasped audibly as you almost fell backward… But the hand never breached the screen. It halted abruptly at the boundary, suspended between the digital world and your reality. Crimson droplets clung to its outstretched fingers as it quivered against an invisible barrier. For a fleeting moment, you caught a glimpse. A flash of yellow fabric and a hint of a naked, muscular chest splattered with blood. But the view was distorted, obscured by the in-game camera’s interference, as if the interface itself rejected his intrusion.
Then came a low murmur. A string of curses in Korean, rough and frustrated. Though you couldn’t make out every word, the anger in his tone was unmistakable, raw even, as he cursed the limits that kept him at bay. Almost immediately, the bitterness dissolved into his familiar, self-assured mockery before he slipped off the screen.
"이건 정말 불공평해요, 공주님4," he drawled, voice dripping with playful disdain. A mind game. It had to be it. "If only this screen wasn’t in the way. 당신은 아직 모르는 재밌는 것들을 놓치고 있습니다5."
The taunting words slithered through your headset. His crazed laughter, edged high with mischief and frustration, filled the silence afterwards.
In that moment, your heart pounded with a mixture of terror and panic. At the end of the day, the screen itself remains unchanged. A game paused on an empty map, the digital world eerily still. Yet Trickster’s presence still lingered at the edge of reality. You could sense it.
With eyes wide, you forcibly shut down the PC, yanking out every cable from the back of your computer screen and desktop afterwards. You vowed to never, ever play Dead by Daylight again. Not after everything you’d just experienced. After all, who knows what might have happened if he had truly breached his way into your room. You believe that he’d most definitely would have tortured you to death, unaware of his true intentions. You could only shiver in fear and disgust at the very thought of it.

Quick FNAF X Dead by Daylight Predictions Before The Collab is Out
Although I haven’t played Dead by Daylight myself, I do have a few predictions on how this crossover will work.. At least in terms of the basics that I’m aware of.
Since this got a bit ramble-y, I’ve put everything under the cut.
-
Most likely to happen
Springtrap will be the playable villain/Killer, as he was highly requested for years.
As such, he’ll probably get new voicelines that will match this crossover’s version of the lore. (Emphasis on “crossover’s version” here— I’m expecting some obvious artistic liberties even with all the advice Scott and the FNAF team’s given)
Same goes for any new abilities he gets. He might lean more towards the supernatural… Or he might get an axe that’s on fire idk.
His potential skins/alternate versions could be something like Spring-Bonnie from the games, Yellow Rabbit from the films (with a different voice to reflect said films), and a… Blighted variant, I think it’s called?
Regardless, it seems like Michael will be his rival/in The Survior role. Sorry, Henry fans, but I don’t think Henry’s quite ready to get more lore.
Mike will also probably get more outfits and a new voice as well, but idk what all that entails.
So many headcanons will be thrown out the window for the both of them, even though it’s another canonized AU. Say goodbye to your (somewhat) caring Williams and your more chill Mikes, among other things. (I’m already planning to turn one of my own takes into an OC in case I’m right, so I guess my followers might need to be on the lookout for that…)
At least we’ll get more hints towards how Springtrap and Mike interact. That’ll probably be useful for future FNAF games.
Less Likely to Happen (And Probably Not Going To TBH)
Scraptrap skin for Springtrap (that actually looks rad). Especially if you get it for free through an achievement.
The Mimic as the Villain/Killer. I know Secret of the Mimic is out in two months, so this is a bit of a risk. However, since this collab been in development since at least last year, I don’t see this happening because of timing. He might get a skin or a reference somewhere, though.
Vanessa (games or film) as the Rival/Survivor. As much as I would find it interesting, this is another case of timing thanks to the FNAF movie. If she does make it in somehow, then maybe she’ll get a Vanny skin?
Springtrap being too theatrical and hyped up (for lack of a better term) in his voicelines. While FNAF AR might’ve made it possible for this to happen a second time, I feel like this collab is going to be the moment where his character’s going to get a personality reboot. I’m expecting something a bit more like his Sister Location voicelines this time— A calm, collected tone roughened by thirty years of rot and decay. He’ll sound far too cold and reserved even when he’s thinking of witty quips, especially around Mike.
Mike and Springtrap sharing the same voice actor this time. This prediction is more for practicality reasons, honestly. I’m sure whoever the developers picked for these two, that actor (or actors) had to make sure that these two sounded distinct during a multiplayer match. Listening is key, from what I understand of DBD, so there has to be a way to tell the difference.
Springtrap confirmed to have remorse via his voicelines. At all. He may have suffered through something, according to that Into The Pit game, but I bet that’s a secret he’ll take to his— and the franchise’s— grave.
MXES cameo or reference. Another timing issue, but with the potential timeline of this collab. I dunno when this whole thing is set, so we might not get Security Breach references either. A bummer, but it is what it is.
Bonus Round: The Possibilities are a Mixed Bag
Springtrap is still British in the games. Maybe even keeping his voice from AR.
Same as above for Mike, but he’ll have a new voice as stated above.
The collab map is one of the FNAF game locations.
Springtrap might have special lines for certain characters? Maybe?
Fazbear Entertainment cameo. Maybe even in-universe merchandise, if the map is that detailed.
Circus Baby gets referenced somewhere. Most likely through a new in-universe poster.
Most fans are probably going to be happy with this collab, especially if it nicely blends these two games together. (If I’m right about the “multiple headcanons perishing in metaphorical flames”, though, then I’m expecting a bunch of Afton interpretations turning into OCs in a matter of weeks. This goes for both Mike and Will/Spring, btw)

DBD characters reacting to…
A strong and aggressive survivor who fights them back (sometimes wins)
FT: Ghostface, Trickster, Pyramid Head, Micheal Myers, Spirit, Artist, Hag, Nurse, Huntress, and Sadako. Basically all my faves
Cw- Cannon violence, survivor is very aggressive, survivor is very good at hand to hand and disarming, survivor is around 5’4, survivor is implied yo be Hispanic (I’m projecting with this one my bad) and survivor is G/N with “you” or they/them being used
Tw- Trickster and Ghostface being pervs (not sorry!!!)
A/N: CAN U TELL I LOOOOOOOOVE WOMEN LMAOOOOO spirit is so cute fr like cmere lemme help u get that glass out of u bbg 😚😚 certified lovergirl right here 🙋🏽♀️🙋🏽♀️🙋🏽♀️
Ghostface
“Annoying little prick”
The first time you hit him, he had you cornered.
*bam* You had hit him right in the diaphragm.
He lost his breath and got knocked back. You put a lot of power behind that punch. Who knew such a small thing could pack so much power? He’s impressed
In your defense, he was all up in your face saying all these lewd things! How could you not punch him?
You got up on him again, and hit him in his nose with your left hand and his jaw with your right, then bounced. Now he’s just plain annoyed with you.
He didn’t get you that trial, and everyone made fun of him for getting bested by such a small little thing.
He was into it though
Trickster
“This is hot”
OH NO HES INTO IT 😢😢
Ur fucked lol!
He thinks you’re basically his girlfriend after the first time you beat his ass.
You had grabbed his wrist to keep him from stabbing you, and twisted his arm the opposite way
As soon as he let go out of shock, you picked it up off the floor and drove it into his stomach, and twisted the blade to get more damage
As soon as you we’re done, you pulled out the knife, and ran, hoping he would die of blood-loss before the match.
He never got the chance to even hook or mori you that round. He’s impressed, angry, and irritated that you messed up his perfect skin.
This trial, he went back to his realm before Danny could make fun of him for getting beat by such a small thing
He had no idea why you did what you did, or why you we’re always over the top when fighting killers back
But to him, you wanted his attention. You are now a fan!
You want his attention? It’s all yours.
Pyramid Head
“What the hell?”
He’s impressed
He’s annoyed
He makes it known by making these groans and grunts whenever he sees you
He makes sure to get you hooked first so that he can get you out of the way
The first time you bit him, you drew a lot of blood.
Who knew Pyramid Head could bleed? Now you know.
He’s mad as fuck lol
He is so pissed off he just straight up kills you
Doesn’t even give you to the entity that round
Just murders you
I mean
You BIT the man 😭
Micheal
“You’re kidding.”
EXTREMELY annoyed
But EXTREMELY interested in you
Because why did you knock the wind out of him with one punch
He thinks you’re weak
And in a way, you are. Because you’re weaker than him
But still stronger than you should be, and way more aggressive as well.
It seems like you always fight the killers back, which surprises everyone
Especially him though.
He sees you carrying firewood back to the campfire for the other survivors and just
Stares at you
Kind of admiring you but way creepier!
He’s way nicer to you in the rounds but still the same old Micheal
Sometimes lets you subconsciously escape him on purpose
Spirit
“Whats the issue exactly”
Doesn’t see why everyone is fussing about you hitting killers
Of course you’re gonna hit killers
But that was until she got hit it the boob by you (for my amab readers, boob hits HURT. Like getting kicked in the balls but for women.)
She is PISSED that you hit her boob and you know it
You are now on her bad side because now she’s just sour about it lol
Every round with her, you’re the last to go
She even made you watch Steve get mori’d
Now you have to stay near the kids whenever its her round because she usually makes them go right in front of you
She is even more brutal because she’s so salty.
Eventually forgets why she’s mad at you, still mad though.
Artist
“How intriguing”
BASICALLY CALLED YOU HOT
Imo you’re winning bruh
She was chasing you and you hid behind a tree when she looked away.
She went looking for you and you gave her a gun punch and when she kneeled over in pain you kneed her in the face and elbowed the back of her head
Damn near knocking her out!
What the fuck man!
She bit your thigh and hooked you but she’s waaaay mor cautious when chasing you because that shit HURT
Hag
“Oh.”
Doesn’t care
She is still going to kill you even if you punch her so hard you knock off her jaw
You fighting back basically motivates her to kill you even more
STILL FINE AS FUCK 🙋🏽♀️🙋🏽♀️ come kill me fr
Not gonna be shocked or anything
She would just.. not care
At all
LIKE YOU DONT MATTER TO HER AT ALL 😭😭
Nurse
“Interesting..”
SHE BASICALLY CALLED YOU HOT
Idk man IMO that’s a big fat W
Ignore my bisexuality but SHE IS SO FINE I JUST WANNA ggrrrrrgrgrg BARK
Anyways you hit her with a leg sweep and a rib stomp
Then book it
She’s impressed that you could get that close to her without her noticing
She’s a lot like Micheal
She just subconsciously lets you escape her sometimes
And it’s not even a defeated feeling she gets its more like
“Oh. Oh well 🤷♀️”
She also goes easy on you
You guys kinda have like a
“I don’t kill you, you don’t kill me” thing going on
Huntress
“Why won’t you die”
Extremely confident you can’t do to her what you did to ghostface.
You can and you do.
She’s more annoyed that she has to put up with you than she is impressed, but she’s still impressed.
You confused her at first but once she got behind the fact that you can pack a WHOLE lot of punch after you hit her jaw so hard her bunny mask fell off
She just
Left you alone
A lot like Micheal as well
But her letting you escape is just so you don’t hit her again
That or she’ll just hook you first so you CANT knock her mask off
Sadako
“Ugh. What the fuck.”
Seriously annoyed
Thats it
She JUST sees you as annoying
I think she’s basically hag 2.0
You just motivate her to kill you more
Like theres no point in getting anyone else first
You grab a fistful of her hair? She bites you 🤷♀️

A Dead By Daylight Novice Reviews All the Killers' Trailers (and makes suggestions for what they'd change)
Reveal trailers are paramount for an audience's first look at new characters. First impressions are everything, so your trailer for your shiny new character needs to be perfect for what's in store for the video game! I started playing DBD a month-ish ago but watched all the trailers for the killers before I started playing, and watching some of them got me to thinking about how I would have changes some of the trailers. Some require no changes, while others I think need an overhaul.
Disclaimer: This is in my personal opinion, is not objective at all, and I'm only doing this because this is something I've been thinking about for a month and need some sort of release or else my brain will implode.
Under a read more bc this gets long.
The Trapper - The first trailer! For a first trailer, I think this one is pretty spot on. It follows a lot of beats of slasher movies, in terms of following a survivor that's gonna be killed, her encountering dead bodies, and the suspense of the killer looking for her. Considering Dead by Daylight is effectively a playable horror movie, I think this is a perfect intro to the game. As for what this means for the Trapper, aka our Jason substitute, I think it showed him off alright! We saw his bear traps and got a good look at him doing this thing. Pretty good, all things considered!
The Wraith - The Wraith, Hillbilly, and Nurse all features gameplay as the means of showing off what the killers can do. The Wraith's isn't too bad, since it does show off his Wailing Bell power enough for people to understand "This is a killer that can turn invisible, and you may not know he's right next to you until it's too late". I wish it has a more cinematic style, but I'll be forgiving here because DBD was still young when this was made. I also thing it showed the new map, Autohaven, pretty well. I'm not too big of a fan of ending the trailer with his mori, but that could be because I don't find his mori exciting.
The Hillbilly - Next is our Leatherface expy! This one feels shorter, still using gameplay to introduce our new killer but at least shows off his chainsaw wielding and hints at the map associated with him. I like the shot of him revving his chainsaw underneath the tree with the animal carcasses! I don't mind the ending with his mori here because even if it's off screen, getting cut with a chainsaw is brutal enough to leave a lasting impression. Again, I wish it had the cinematic style, but it's fine.
The Nurse - I think the Nurse's trailer is the weakest of the three gameplay-focused trailers. The text intro is... fine, but I honestly think it fits the Doctor more. It does an okay job of showing us her Blinking mechanics, but it also doesn't? Like we see her teleporting to Nea, but it feels lackluster. I do like the ending shot of dead Nea as the Nurse just blinks away. I'm not quite sure how to change this trailer to be more effective in my opinion, if I'm being honest.
The Shape/Michael Myers - Our first franchise killer, and a perfect trailer. The first second in, we hear John Carpenter's legendary Halloween score. Even non-horror fans will quickly pick up which killer this is. The suspense of Laurie see Michael, Michael coming up the stairs, and especially the shot of Laurie and Michael being on opposite sides of a door is *chef's kiss*. We see enough of the Shape to be satisfied and eager for his release. It's the perfect trailer for him AND Laurie imo.
The Huntress - Ah, the Huntress. She is my favorite killer to play as, and I probably have the majority of my playtime on her. Unfortunately, I think her trailer leaves a lot to be desired. It's the start of the 'let's look at the killer from different angles, have them turn around to the camera, and then attack the viewer' trend of DBD trailers. I call for a complete rewrite! Here's what I would have done:
The map is Mother's Dwelling. Two survivors (David aaaand idk Dwight?) are running and hides behind some trees. We hear the Huntress's lullaby get louder, and we see the bottom half of her and her axe as she walks past the survivors. The lullaby gets quieter, and the survivors take a sigh of relief. Then, a hatchet is thrown and lodged into Dwight's head! David screams and runs. We then see our full look at the Huntress as she picks up the body. Her signature lullaby continues as the trailer ends.
The Hag - The Hag's trailer also follows a similar formula to the Huntress' trailer. There is an animation bump, so we get to see the Hag's emaciated appearance in full detail. I'm not too mad about that, since the Hag's appearance is unsettling enough to cause viewer distress and curiosity more than the Huntress' would. However, because this is a DBD original killer, we need to see what her deal is with her trailer. Thus, I propose this:
On the swamp, Ace is repairing a generator but hears another survivor (Dwight?) get hooked. Ace goes to rescue him, but we see as he steps on a rune in front of the poor survivor. The illusion of the Hag pops up, jumpscaring poor Ace (and the audience) but disappears. Ace then rescues Dwight for real, but Dwight quickly runs away. Why? Because the real Hag is behind Ace and lunges at him, biting his neck. Trailer ends.
The Doctor - I now realize that my taste in writing DBD trailers is 'have the survivor do a thing, they think the killer is near, they then relax, and only then are they attacked by the killer'. It's a bit stereotypical, but again, we're dealing with a game centered on the horror genre, so that's why I'm okay with it.
I mention this because that's effectively the story beats the the Doctor's trailer follows. Instead of attacking Feng, however, the Doctor just looks at her run and stares menacingly. Even though we don't see the Doctor's shock therapy powers here, I think the long look at the killer is still effective because of his design. A first reaction I (and other reactors) experienced went from the initial "OMG the killer is here, run girl!" to "Why tf are his own eyes and mouth held open like that A Clockwork Orange scene?!". We also don't linger for too long on him either, so I think this trailer works well enough.
The Cannibal/Leatherface - Another franchise killer, this time good ol Leatherface! This trailer is a little different, using text to draw up suspense. I do like the reveal of "What is his mask made of? YOU.", but I would've loved to have seen some actual Cannibal action, or at least his in-game model doing his Texas chainsaw massacring thing.
The Nightmare/Freddy Kruger - Oh, c'mon, we got one of the most well known characters in horror in this little video game, and all we get for his trailer is some scratch marks and a 'killer does nothing but stand there menacingly and attack the camera' trailer?! I do like the detail that when we see him, it's DBD's version of the dream world, but we could've at least featured a survivor falling asleep and then seeing him for themselves.
(Also kinda sad it's the reboot version of Freddy instead of the Wes Craven version and the survivor is Quentin instead of Nancy Freaking Thompson, but I guess we should be happy he's in the game at all)
The Pig - Largely, I think this trailer is pretty good. I'm not too big of a fan of Amanda just standing there menacingly near Dwight, but I do like everything else. I especially love the security camera shot of the famous Saw bathroom and the cutaway when Dwight's reverse bear trap activates (but we still see a good bit of gore!). It feels very Saw-like.
The Clown - This trailer is pretty good! Even though we don't see the Clown in much action, we get a lot of visual storytelling with the bottles, the circus, and the ring of fingers, all leading up to the reveal of his face. The diagetic music from Kate is a nice touch, too.
The Spirit - This one is alright. There is a lot of focus on Adam, but it does build up tension to when the Spirit reveals herself. My biggest problem with it is the ending card that is used for her. Yes, I know that's traditional for the end of these trailers, but her pose and expression is kinda meh after the face she makes when she's about to attack Adam. Seriously, that couple of seconds haunts me (sorry) otherwise.
The Legion - My other favorite killer to play! It's so funny how I didn't like Legion when I first heard of them but now they're my favorites. I love how the trailer emphasizes that the new killer(s) looks similar to survivors and the brutality of when Frank reveals himself and stabs Jeff. However, the trailer does a disservice to the other members of the Legion. C'mon, that's their whole shtick!
My recommendation would be to end with a shot of Julie, Joey, and Suzie joining Frank (and obviously getting a good look at them) and surrounding Jeff right before they all stab him. This is a little disingenuous since you can't play as all four of them at once (unless you count that one Blighted skin...), but you also can't disguise yourself as a survivor, so... Yeah. They are The Legion! They act as one! Treat them as such in their trailer, dammit!
The Plague - The Plague's trailer is interesting. Even though we don't see her in action, I think it's fine because seeing her puke on people during her trailer might be a bit off-putting. Just a bit. We still get some storytelling with her whispered prayers, the candles and incense thingy, and, of course, her face. I think because the Plague's design is inherently unique among all the killers so far, she can get away with the 'let's just tease the audience by looking at the killer and nothing else' trend.
The Ghost Face - Not too much I can complain about with this one. I do like the wtf factor of 'wait, why is a DBD trailer at a modern day warehouse???', especially if you're watching a trailer playlist like I first did. It all makes sense when you learn it's Ghost Face, though! Also, justice for that poor cashier.
The Demogorgon - RIP Stranger Things DLC. I don't watch this series, but I really like the Hawkins Lab map and I'm going to be sad when it's gone. :(
I love this trailer! When I hear the Stranger Things music, it actually gives me chills. I'm legitimately so sad the DLC will be gone from the stores, but I do own them myself. I need to actually sit down and play Demo, Steve, and Nancy one of these days. Why am I crying? No, I'm not kidding, why is this trailer making me cry? Renew the contract, Netflix, please! I don't want this stuff to disappear forever!
(Is it weird that I've been nagged on for years to watch Stranger Things but it's Dead By Daylight that's actually convincing me to watch it?)
The Oni - This is an interesting case. The "main" theme of this trailer is the contrast of modern day Japan's Yui and her motorcycle vs the literal ancient samurai Oni. I think it works out, and again, I think the presentation makes up for us not seeing too much of the new killer.
The Deathslinger - Oh boy, do I love my cowboys! This trailer is nearly perfect. We establish the western setting quickly over the sounds of some poor bastard in pain. The reeling in of the chains and the closeup of The Redeemer is so great. My biggest complaint with this trailer is that we linger a bit too long on the Deathslinger's face at the end. Yeah, he's creepy with his eyes and his disjointed jaw, but you can only look at a horror for so long before you want to move on.
The Executioner/Pyramid Head - I like this trailer! I haven't played Silent Hills, but I'm at least somewhat familiar with the premise and Pyramid Head. I love the shot of him passing the classroom door window and the sword cutting a rift through the ground. Yeah, my lack of SH knowledge makes me unable to recommend any changes here.
The Blight - I have no changes to suggest. The Blight's transformation is super horrific, reminding me of the typical depiction of Jekyll and Hyde. Honestly, he is so much more terrifying in his trailer and in lore than in gameplay.
The Twins - No changes needed. BHVR is really starting to hit their stride with these trailers! Seeing Victor come out of Charlotte's body is amazing.
The Trickster - We depart from all of the other trailers by using an K-POP music video style. It does a good job at referencing some of his story beats (namely torturing/killing people, recording their screams, and using them in his music), but it doesn't really make me afraid of the Trickster. Sure, it fits with his theme, but I would have preferred seeing more of him, y'know, instead of just looking pretty and making faces? I still wouldn't change the art style of the trailer, though. It's fitting enough for him and a breath of fresh air from the doom and gloom.
The Nemesis - No change needed, mostly because I'm not too familiar with the Resident Evil series, but seeing Jill, the twink Leon, and Nemesis on-screen is a very cool moment. Also can we get an F in chat for Meg?
The Cenobite/Pinhead - This is a perfect trailer. We got the Lament Configuration, we got the chains pinning up Dwight, we got Pinhead himself! What more can I ask for?
If you actually made it this far, thank for reading? I don't think I really contribute anything to the fandom with this analysis, but DBD has been living rent free in my brain for the past month, so I may as well write something, eh?

dbd retrospection: bhvr’s negligence and our spending habits
i’m making this post following the talk of a dbd boycott and the (justified) outcry in regards to bhvr’s continuing subpar treatment of the game and its community.
it’s going to be a lot different than my usual content, and if you don’t want the negativity right now and just want to keep enjoying the game, it’s completely ok for you to ignore this post!
the problem
over the years i’ve been playing dbd, it’s always had a lot of jank and bugs—some of which were even said to add to dbd’s charm. funny flying survivors and falling through the map glitches aside, the last 6 months have made it abundantly clear that the bugs and myriad of performance issues have only gotten worse.
bhvr is no longer a small indie studio and you’d think that the more experience the devs got, the less issues would make it through to the live version of the game, right? wrong.
bhvr struck gold with dbd and they’re taking full advantage of the cash coming in while putting in minimal effort. from the way they handle things, i’m pretty sure their business model is as follows:
attract new customers with dlc every 3 months (doubly so with licenses)
sell as many dlc:s, skins and rift passes to those customers as possible
ignore all complaints when those players get tired of the game and focus on getting new customers in their stead.
new players are more valuable because they spend more money. they’ll buy not only the base game and newest dlc that attracted them in the first place, but they’re also the sole demand for old dlcs. who else buys the halloween dlc in 2021, if not new players wanting to play as horror icon michael myers or get access to the only perk that prevents them being tunneled as survivor?
think of all the times bhvr has ignored the community’s complaints: hud, spirit, keys, legendary skins and so on. not to mention the issues they take months or even years to fix: iri head, haddonfield, blight pov, old ds, infinites and moris to name a few. it screams loud and clear that they don’t care; and why would they? the opinions of existing players don’t matter, when new ones will flock in to replace them anyway.
i’m almost convinced the devs have the competence—they’re just lazy. when the almo controversy happened, it took less than 24 hours for the colorblind mode to be announced. either they were able to code it in from scratch that quick and just didn’t want to, or they’d been working on it as an (inexcusably) low priority feature before, having it nearly ready but just couldn’t be bothered to push it out before it directly affected them—to be honest, i don’t know which option is worse.
sometimes, their business practices are outright predatory, like the recent resident evil locked sets and the original mettle of man. this time, the outrage was enough to get the affected players a refund, but we’ve forgotten every other instance where that was not the case. and the refund still doesn’t solve the problem; if anyone wants those leon and jill outfits, they’re still paying nearly $4 for an identical haircut—which brings me to the next issue.
skins
i could write an essay on dbd skins alone. in a nutshell, they’re overpriced af and the issue gets completely ignored because they’re an optional purchase.
remember skin rarity? where the quality of the skin was supposed to reflect the rarity, and therefore the price? then let me ask you; when was the last time we got anything less than a very rare (=full price) outfit after a character’s initial release? well, let me answer that for you: july 31st 2018, with ace’s lovable rogue, meg’s athletic active, and dwight’s wine n’ dine collections.
and, sure, you could argue that the cosmetic team has only gotten more skilled since then, with a few skins standing out as having an incredible amount of detail and completely changing the character’s appearance. but that’s not the case with the majority of the skins. how does ace vegas or cowboy jake have the same price tag as apocalypse jeff or harajuku nea?
and don’t even get me started on auric cell only skins. even when skins were cheaper and came in several color variants, bhvr has had a nasty habit of locking the best skins in a collection behind a paywall. never mind the fact that it takes nearly 100 hours of time spent in actual matches to even get 21 600 shards to buy one skin, very rare skins are priced at over two times the price of one entire character and their perks.
one very rare skin costs:
50 % of the base game
216 % of one character through the in-game store (auric cells)
240 % of one character through the in-game store (iridescent shards)
250 % of one character when buying a chapter (2-3 characters)
476 % of one character when buying a chapter on sale.
it’s no secret that the majority of the sales from existing players come from skins. let’s assume that over a period of three months, a player with moderate spending habits buys the new dlc chapter, the rift pass and one skin for their favorite character. in that scenario, actual new content (the new chapter) only accounts for 28 % of the money spent. is it any wonder, then, that new chapters are riddled with bugs and issues, if the majority of the $$$ comes purely from cosmetics?
there’s also the issue that fog whisperers only exist to sell skins and promo dlc:s, but i don’t want to open that can of worms. the fact that they get free codes for the newest skins speaks for itself.
the rift pass and fomo
you didn’t think i’d skip this one, did you? no matter how much “value” you get from the pass compared to buying skins from the store, it’s still a blatant cash grab that’s essentially making us pay for playing the game.
“but you get your money back!” hey, if you see paying $10 to grind for bad recolors and filler charms as a worthwhile investment, good for you. no matter if you religiously play dbd enough to complete every rift, you still have to fork over that $10 the first time. bhvr has advertised a 25 million playerbase across all platforms, and even if only 5 % of those players have bought the pass once, that’s still a hefty income just for the rift—not to mention the fact that most people don’t get anywhere near tier 70 and end up with a net loss.
it’s a genius marketing move that preys on people’s fomo. by including exclusive charms and recolors that you can’t get anywhere else (cries in ace’s card shirt) and placing the best items at the very end, even light spenders are tempted to buy the pass or at the very least grind the free track. and once you’ve bought the pass, you feel obligated to play as much as possible to get your money’s worth—and the more you play, the more likely you are to buy new characters or skins from the store.
what can you do?
after all this negativity and complaining, it sounds like i think we should just stop playing the game and never pay for anything, huh? not at all.
i think what everyone can and should do, is reflect on their own spending habits when it comes to dbd.
do you buy the newest chapters as soon as they release, even if you know bhvr’s track record of recent dlc:s?
do you hate the way cosmetics are handled and the multiple fiascos regarding legendary sets, but still buy several different skins for your favorite characters?
do you buy the rift pass because oh god it has ace charms that i won’t be able to get anywhere else and i need them for all my characters—you get the point.
we can whine and bitch all we want, but as long as bhvr continues to make money even off of disappointed and angry customers, nothing will change. i’ve heard friends proclaim they hate the game and that bhvr’s actions are inexcusable, yet they, like me, continue to buy into the hype of new content or cosmetics masked as content.
what i’ll do from now on and i hope you’ll also consider:
hold off on buying new chapters until at least the worst of the bugs are fixed. if initial sales drop even after all the hype bhvr always tries to create, they might finally be forced to take action.
alternatively, buy new characters with shards. if you mostly play one side like me, 9000 shards is well worth an original character. it also lowers the sales of a chapter release, which hurts bhvr.
think long and hard about buying the rift pass. is there only one skin you really, really want? then the grind and price isn’t worth it, as rift exclusives get priced as rares when eventually released the store: aka 675 cells instead of the 1000 of the pass.
save up shards to buy skins. yes, i just said they’re overpriced, but if you buy the sets piece by piece the grind isn’t unbearable. and usually by the point you’d have enough, you might realize there’s only one part of the outfit that you actually want, or a better skin has been announced. saving your money and hurting bhvr; win-win.
ok whew, i think i’m done! thank you for reading my little rant. if you have any thoughts feel free to yell in the tags or replies, and remember that it’s completely ok if you enjoy the game as it is and want to keep doing so! you’re not forced to boycott anything or feel guilty about spending money. the game brings or has brought all of us a lot of joy and we’re free to enjoy it however we want <3
in a nutshell, i love the game despite its flaws, i only wish bhvr treated it (and the community) with the care it deserves.
p.s. my regular content will resume tomorrow <3
#idek what to tag this as#dweet rambles#dbd#dead by daylight#sorry for the rant#drama#not really drama but tagging for those who wish to avoid negative posts!

Okay so idk how many of you guys took the Dead by Daylight community survey, but in the question where it asked what shows/movies/games you would like to see added to the game, Control was one of the options!!! Now both DbD and Control are some of my favorite games so ofc I voted for Control but now I'm thinking of what the killer/survivor combo would be.
I can see Jesse being the survivor- but that also doesn't make much sense as by the end of Control, Jesse is kinda super powerful and it would feel weird if she lost all of her powers suddenly? Also to me it just doesn't make sense how she would get there with Polaris protecting her, it doesn't make much sense to me that Polaris could protect her from the Hiss but not the entity???
So as I'm thinking about who it could be, I'm crossing off people like Emily, Arish, Langston... really anyone who's still alive at the end of Control? Like I know DbD has brought in characters that aren't canonly dead/missing from their respective franchises but the idea of one of them being taken is very 🥺 thus leading me to think that the best options for the survivor would be Trench, Darling, or Marshall. I say these three because they are the only three characters we get a lot of information on/about that die/ go missing by the end of the game.
Personally I think the best choice of the three is Dr. Darling. I think this because out of the three of them, Darling is shown the most? Like I think he shows up more in the game than Trench does?? As well as because he's the only one we don't see die explicitly.
Switching to who/what the killer would be, I have more questions. It couldn't be someone like Tomassi as flying killers would break the game, but it also couldn't be a huge thing like the Former or the Mold. I also don't see having Essej or any of the smaller bosses like that as the killer makes much sense. So to me, the killer option would be the Hiss, but how would dbd illustrate that as a killer? Would they just put Dylan as the killer? I hope they wouldn't because that boy has gone through enough but that seems like their best choice unless they try to make just a weird personification of the Hiss (maybe make the default skin a ranger and have possible skins of the other Hiss types?). I don't know I'm still trying to figure it out.
If anyone has any theories for the possible collab I'm down to hear about them, I just wanted to get my thoughts out!

in living memory is my favourite dbd fic! seriously feels like it could be it’s own novel series. and i absolutely would purchase the hell out of it if it were asdhsfsff. i was wondering if you had any headcanons regarding the physical appearance of survivors (or killers, too!) since the in game models are... questionable and hard to rely on. if not, no worries!
Awww! Thank you so much! That is an incredibly meaningful thing to me, and I really appreciate it. And sure! I enjoy doing asks.
In general, I think I headcanon the characters as similar to their models, but obviously there’s some decent room for artist interpretation there, and I definitely have my share of #takes. I tend to fluctuate and like a whole lot of art interpretations of the characters, but I really, really love how @xmafiacatx draws Philip especially, and their picture of him saying he’s sorry was one of the first pieces of art for the game I saw and where I get all my own mental images of him from as base inspiration, and the way @dwightfairfields draws Jake and Dwight is exactly how I see the both of them. For the characters in films as well, like Quentin or Tapp, I think I see them as they looked in the film (Kyle Gallner/Danny Glover) and not their in-game model at all (there’s also a Tapp ask blog w a super great style). Although of course, Quentin and Laurie would both be a little older now. Michael and Laurie are a bit more complicated, but @lauriecynthia had a take I really loved for the sibs. I know Michael has had a lot of height/size iterations, and I dig the like 6+ feet tall for him, but while I think he’s obviously strong, I don’t think he’s like, Kronk from the Emperor’s New Groove jacked or something. He was in Smith’s Grove forever. He’s a little bit more lean than he tends to get drawn, but while I keep that from the og film canon and take my height more from the game and rz canon, I do go with more of a dirty blonde for him (like first film and like Laurie herself). I really like the sibs having the same hair color and somewhat similar faces—where you would definitely be able to tell they were related just looking at them beside each other, because that’s kind of heartbreaking. I think I see dbd Laurie as a little more dbd art specific than filmic interpretation, but with some obvious Jamie Lee Curtis inspiration drawn in. Especially eyes and that fantastic chin.
(putting the rest under a read more bc this got long)
While I am aware neither Meg nor Susie have freckles in their models, I see both of them with those. I’m also aware of canon heights, but Meg Thomas should not be as tall as she is, and I cannot be swayed. Do love her legs though—as a runner myself, that really be how runner legs look. Thighs like a log and calves like a brick. Regardless, Claudette, she, and Feng should all be similarly short. I also probably see Susie as bigger than her model intends, like a little bit plump and definitely not buff at all, and to my credit with that sweater you really can’t tell. There’s also not a whole lot of body diversity in the dbd character models, like you’ve really just got Jane and Jeff for any kind of plus-size representation at all, and that’s a huge shame. I think of Claudette as probably a little less tiny than she is in-game, and kind of soft all over and incredibly sweet and cute, but with really tough and calloused hands from all the work she does with them regularly, and very similar/close to her model. Jake as a lean kind of buff. I like the way people draw Kate a lot more than her model, so I see her as the kind of person who just looks like a nice person, tall, and muscular (now, after all that work she’s been putting in). Nea’s model also isn’t very kind to her, and I can never see her that well, :’-] , so I see her more based on how she tends to be drawn—punk, and the kind of person who looks like they’re about to tease you when they grin. From the game models it looks like Nea and Meg both have cutting scars, and that makes sense to me for both of them, and that’s such a common thing for people to go through as a teenager and young adult, I think it’s important to have characters that have definitely been through that too. I constantly forget how tall Quentin is, so I think in fic he probably hasn’t hit that last growth spurt just yet. It’s coming for him later, and he’s still a bit shorter than his game model.
Also, while I get Adam is a serious character and person, I don’t like that he’s perma-scowling in his in-game model, and that doesn’t fit how the game itself wrote him, so I see him looking a lot more relaxed-serious than that, and reliable. I think he gives off an air of being a lot older than he is, but if you took a hard look you’d be like, “Oh wait. You’re in your twenties damn.” I think he, Laurie, and Kate are especially tall among the young adults, with Dwight, Quentin, Jake, and David being shorter (David at the tallest of those), then Nea, then Meg, then Susie, then Feng, then Claudette. I see Jeff and Jane pretty much how they look in-game, because those designs are nice, and same for Ace. He looks like a nice guy always about to crack a joke and a bottle of champagne for the whole team. I think of Tapp as very tall, Jane and Jeff as pretty tall but shorter than him, and Ace as shorter than all three and more like Laurie/Kate/Adam height. I’m not sure why I see Laurie as tall so much—I think it might be the bellbottoms. They just have that effect on legs. And then of course, Philip towers over the others at over 7 feet. I also can’t think of a good way to describe this, but I think of Susie as both cuter and a lot more interesting looking than her in-game model. For Joey, I’d say pretty similar, and Frank, but I think of Julie with her hair grown out longer again, like about chin length, and curly/wavy. For Anna/the Huntress, I see her like her game model, but (most of the time anyway) with human eyes instead of the full-pupil thing. Which will actually get a little bit of elaboration next chapter, coincidentally. For David, I see him as a little bit probably younger looking than a lot of his model skins, and more like he tends to be drawn/his base skin, and like a tough but also nice dude. Also, with the sort of 12’oclock shadow, but no beard.
Sorry if this wasn’t what you meant and you meant more like, dress style or something, but I hope this is of interest at least. : D Thanks for the ask!

Nothing Expected (DBD Michael Myres)
Pairing: DBD!Michael Myers/Reader Words: 2,330+ Warning(s): Murder obv, blood, assult A/N: honestly just wrote this to get over writers block and get some frustration out :) dont worry nthing is happening that is too bad, just my internal feelings about someone in my life being an ass. also im a slut for michael myers and the DBD characters Beware!! This will probably be WAYYY out of character! Also I was inspired by from @cgi-monster and @lovethemurderer so I suggest checking their blogs~
You sat at the campfire along with everyone, waiting for the next trail to start at any time. You sat between your two good friends Meg and David, while listen to Bill speak of his life. His stories always drew you in due to the sheer fact of him coming from a world different from yours.
"Then, the asshole set off the alarm and we had to fight in the church. Infected crawled through windows, while we had to stand on benches. Zoey and Francis were back to back while Louis and I stood fought together in a corner. We were outnumbered, “ Everyone was leaning forward to Bill, waiting for him in anticipation for him to continued. "Then Francis shouted ‘Fire in the hole’ and next thing I knew infected parts flew everywhere. We managed to get out with only scrapes.”
"Holy shit!“ David commented, completely engrossed in the story.
"What happened with the guy in the safe room?” Claudette asked.
"Turns out he was bitten, when the door opened he dropped down as a damn Smoker. I pulled out my pistol and ended him.“
"Wow” You awed along with everyone else.
"Reminds me of a game I used to play.“ Feng Min smiled.
"True badass.” David smirked, both Dwight and Jake nodded. “You never quit do you, Bill?”
"I always look for a fight.“ He grunted. You smile and lean against Meg, these moments around the campfire gave you a spark of hope. Time in the trial, regardless if you died or not, was draining emotionally and physically.
Everyone continued to share little memories, until a snap in the woods alerted the group. You didn’t worry it was one of the killers, since they never come to the fire, so that means it must be another poor soul sucked into this hell.
Your body went rugged at the sight before you, your hand gripped Meg and David’s wrists. Your abusive ex-boyfriend, Eric, now stood before you. Your past life wasn’t glamorous due to him, he lefts bruises and mental scars on you, but you were able to get away before you were pulled into this hell, and now it is like all those memories of him and you started crashing at once.
All the other survivors took notice of your behavior, David and Meg pressed themselves against your sides, while Bill and Jake stood up, staring at Eric with expressions while Feng looked like she was about to fight if needed. You let go of your friend’s wrists, though they didn’t leave your side. You had told them all about the dark parts of your past involving him. Never had you expected to see him here.
"Where the hell am I?” His oh so tough voice made shiver run down your spine. “(Y/N)! You’ve been gone for months; your mother is worried sick.” Eric smirked and tried approaching you but Bill and Jake blocked his path.
"Listen, you’ve been summoned here by the Entity. You must go through the trials and try to escape.“ Dwight informed him. "No matter what you do, you can never leave. ”
"Trials? Entity?“
"Look boy, you have one goal is to survive this hell with team work and cooperation, got it?” Bill spoke before turning his back, sitting down in his spot. “This place isn’t sunshine and cupcakes, you survive or die, only to go through the same shit again. Pull any shit here and the monsters in the trials won’t be your main problem.”
Before anyone else could say anything else to Eric, darkness clouded around and you knew, it was time to start another trial.
–
Your vision became clear and revealed to you were you were sent: Haddonfield. You let out a sigh of relief when you spotted the familiar houses and lights. Myres was a scary person to face against, but for some reason, you’ve never been killed or harmed by his hand. You’ve even come face to face with him once, across from a pallet you had knocked down. He stared at you, not moving before turning around, leaving you to escape. It was strange, every killer had killed you at least once, but Michael never tried to. Perhaps he was toying with you, waiting for the perfect moment to strike
You started working on generators, teaming up with either Claudette or Bill to pop a gen and scattering off. You were on your last generator when you heard rustling behind you, making you jump and stop working on it.
”(Y/N)? Thank god I found someone.“ Eric’s voice called your name, making you sigh. He walked up next to you and started working on the gen with you. "All this is all so crazy… I almost ran into that guy with the mask.”
"Yeah that’s The Shape, or Michael Myres, don’t let him stalk you or he gets stronger.“ You hoped he would stop talking to you and finish the generator. You were glad he didn’t say much after that, allowing you to fully concentrate on the generator. You smiled triumphantly as the gen 'popped’ and the lights connected turned on. You were about to walk away when a rough hand gripped your wrist.
"This way! I heard the killer.” Eric whispered and dragged you along with him. His touch made you flinch as you stumble along, you just had to deal with it until the trial was over. Suddenly he came to a stop, you crashed into his back. You glance around and notice you both where in a dark and secluded area of Haddonfield. You felt extremely uncomfortable. “Whew, I think we lost him.”
"I don’t think he was coming-“
"Shh he may hear us, baby.” You visibly gagged when he called you that petname. You felt his hand rub up from your wrist to your arm, causing you to start to back away from him.
"Eric, I swear to god-“ His hand clamped over your mouth as he pushed you against a broken wall. His body trapped yours against the wall as his free hand messed with him of your shirt. You try and squirm from him but he was too strong for you, you only hoped that Bill or Claudette would come and help.
"I missed you, (Y/N). After you broke up with me and left I didn’t have anyone else to mess with.” He growled, before his mouth attacked your neck, the stubble on his chin scratched your soft skin. You start to cry trying to beg for help through his hand as he continued nipping your skin.
You gritted your teeth and bit his hand, allowing you to finally cry out, though you weren’t able to call out, Eric was able to cover your mouth again. His hand that was close to going under your shirt gripped the collar and tore it down to your navel. You felt fear bubble inside you, hell in the realm just got ten times worse. You squeeze your eyes shut as you felt his rough hand touch your breast, knowing there was no hope.
Your eyes snap open when you could hear heavy breathing coming from a slight distance. Your eyes widened when you saw Michael Myers watching. You could almost visibly see the dangerous aura around him. You notice Erics hand start to loosen over your mouth, moving it to tug at your pants.
You lock eyes with Myers, at least you think you did, and hoped for the best.
You mouthed ‘help me’ as a last-ditch effort
In an instant, Eric was ripped from you; Michael was holding him by his shirt as you slid down the wall, covering your chest. Your body was shaking as you watch Michael let go of Eric, only grip him by the neck and raise him off the ground. You saw the glint of the kitchen knife in Myers hand before he slowly stabbed Eric’s gut, twisting the knife as your ex tried hitting him, but it was too late. He tossed Eric’s body like it was nothing, making a ‘thump’ sound.
You flinched when you notice Michael look down upon your disheveled appearance, bloody knife still dripping. You squeeze your eyes shut and hug your body, it looks like today may be the day Myers finally kills you. You waited for that killing blow, or some sort of grab… but neither of that happened. You opened your eyes and watched the tall killer squat down, before sitting on the ground with you. He raised a hand which made you wince a little, but the movement was slow, so you simply watched what he was going to do. His hand, unusually gentle, rested upon your head, giving you a soft pat.
"Thank y-you… for helping me…“ You stutter. He nodded in response. "Uhm… I want to ask… why did you h-help me? And why haven’t you killed me?” He didn’t say anything, he just stared at you before grabbing your wrist, but unlike Eric, he wasn’t as rough. He turned your wrist, your palm facing upwards.
"Special.“ He traced with his finger, which sparked your cheeks to flush warm. "Who is he?” Michael then pointed to the corpse.
"My ex-boyfriend from my past life.“ You started feeling a little more confident around him. "He… He used to hit me a lot and he mentally broke me at one point. Finally, I got away from him; putting a restraining order on him and moving away, just a month before I got pulled here.”
"Oh.“ He traced before giving a nod. He tilted his head to the side and you followed his head movement. This was a very strange thing, but you felt secure in his presence. Though you felt some embarrassment, your shirt was torn, exposing my most of your chest. You felt your cheeks and the back of your neck heat up. He tilted his head again, you felt him looking over your body.
Myers peeled off the top part of his jumpsuit before pulling off his black undershirt over head, gripping tight and handing it to you in a tight fist. You take the shirt carefully and put it on while Michael pulled back on his jumpsuit. You looked down at shirt, it was way too big for you. You giggled, covering mouth, as Michael looked at you. His shoulder’s began to shake like he was laughing as you lifted your arms, showing how much the shirt bagged.
The distant howl of the exit doors echoed from the distance, snapping both your attention in the direction the noise came from. Michael stood up from the ground and offered you his hand. You gratefully take his offer and he easily pulled you up from the ground. Your legs were still a bit shakey, causing you to wobble and lean against Michael’s firm body. Without any warning, he picked you up and started walking towards the exist. You didn’t protest.
-
You could see the open gate as Myres walked towards it. You could see Claudette leaning over Bill, helping him with a wound, before both their attention was on you.
“(Y/N)!” Bill screamed as Claudette gasped. Michael set you down carefully, allowing you to hold onto his forearms to keep stable before you could walk. You walked to the two while they cautiously eyed the both of you.
“What’s going on?” Claudette whispered. “And why are wearing his shirt?”
“Eric… attacked me and he ripped my shirt. Michael stepped in and helped me.” You replied, looking back to Michael, who was simply staring at the three of you.
“Are you okay? Eric didn’t…”
“No, Michael stepped in before something could happen.” Claudette nodded and pulled you into a tight hug while Bill rested his hand on your shoulder. You smile but then glance back to Michael, who was still staring. You broke away from your two friends and approached the masked killer, tilting your head back ever so slightly while he tilted his downwards.
“I have to go now, Michael.” You spoke softly. He shook his head, his hands grip your shoulders. “I… honestly would love to stay with you, but what about the entity?”
“Safe,” He took your hand and traced. “With me.”
"I believe that, I do but the entity may get mad. It may take some time to get used to you, no offense, but I don’t want to be restricted from ever seeing you.” He stared at you before slowly nodding his head. You sigh with a smile, before slowly wrapping your arms around his waist, giving him a hug. He awkwardly reciprocated, though it was clear he was not used to this kind of affection at all; it was kind of comically but you kept in your chuckle.
You break away from Michael, joining your two friends who were staring anywhere but on you two. Bill left first, giving you a nod while Claudette followed in suit. You look back to Myres, he was watching you intently. You gave him a small wave before running out into the field, as fast as you could to return to the camp fire.
-
When you arrived to the campfire, everyone else was there. Some more bloodied than others. To your relief, Eric hasn’t been brought back and you only hoped that he never would. You sit down on the ground, leaning your head against Megs legs.
"You got a spare hair tie, Meg?“ You asked. She nodded and handed you a green tie. You tied up the black shirt so it wouldn’t be long, nobody seemed to pay mind to your new shirt or the lack of Eric. You glance to Claudette and Bill, who gave you reassuring nods that your secret was safe with them.
You smiled as you listened to how Ace and David talked about escaping the Hillbilly with ease, obviously overexaggerating parts, while Dwight rubbed his slowly healing shoulder wound. Back at the campfire, though oddly enough you wouldn’t mind being sent to Haddonfield again.

there are so many things a 16 years old person should be doing beside throwing hate, BUT HERE YOU ARE BEING A BRAT
@bfmyers I really can't take this anymore, are you really that full of hypocrisy to scream TOXIC left and right while you yourself use your free time to only spread hate? I don’t usually do this and I try to stay away from useless discourse but you're just kicking on my nerves way too much
under the cut cause boy I have a lot to say. (really, it’s long. I needed to point out everything)
I'm going to kindly tell you to fuck off artists' backs.
you have 0 fucking knowledge of what you're talking about yet you're making callouts and worse, people agree! the same people who supported the artists before by reblogging and liking their art are now shitting on them and "ihh no more reblogs from them" only because you write a lengthy shit in which not only that you threaten a human being, you don't even know how to argue. a link to a picture and screaming "toxic" ISN'T A GODDAMN ARGUMENT
people of this community, PLEASE use your fucking brains and don't bow your head to what every nameless kid has to say. you don't have to believe me either, just use your fucking brain and heart and do the decision making yourself
Now, you did a callout post on @dbd-omija pointing out how toxic they are!!! omg gasp animal death? abuse?? HOW IS THAT pOsSIbLe
where have you been until now because this is a horror community:
in the TCM universe inbreeding is mentioned multiple times
in the Halloween movies Michael kills two dogs and eats one of them
omija clearly stated they went with the 1978-2018 timeline BUT NO YOU KEPT SCREAMING BECAUSE HOW DARE THEY SAY SOMETHING AGAINST YOU
on that matter: in the halloween movies Michael's cult makes him rape his niece, in another movie Laurie, before jumping to what it seemed her death, kisses Michael's mask lips. GASP, when will you sue the directors?
after he escaped, Max literally slaughtered every living creature in that farm. put the DBD devs on your "I need to sue them cause I have something to say against this horror game!!!" list
If there’s something I can agree with you on, it’s about tags. Yes, these are triggers, yes tagging is important, but let’s not forget that being in this community IS about being surrounded by triggers. out of courtesy sure, we should tag our stuff accordingly, but to go all out to say “omija, if you’re reading this, i’m going to pee in your mouth.” HOW. IS. THIS. ACCEPTED?! HOW
HOW THE FUCK PEOPLE WHO REBLOGGED THAT CALLOUT THOUGHT YES THIS IS GOOD?!!?!
now you said that Omija's making all of these seem cute and that’s the real problem. this is where you are sooo wrong and let me explain:
a round head doesn't instantly make everything cute. there are many many details that the human eye perceives as cute, things that artists go to when they want their art to be seen as cute. from the color chosen to the way their eyes and mouths are drawn, to the very line work they’re using. yes, shapes count too, but this is not the case and we should get out of our tiny box and see the big picture. Their comics are not meant to be cute, actually much respect to them for being brave enough to approach well known subjects that are not explored. But that’s it. If YOU see it as cute then it’s your problem really. Art and fiction is prone to interpretation
If anything, how much cute stuff we have in the community should be the anomaly, not that someone draws anxious Bubba
omija's Amanda and Bubba art is problematic! someone asks why, you: because is toxic!!!
really? I actually think that, given their individual personalities, omija portraits the ship’s dynamic really well. Amanda is not dealing well with her feelings and with humans and Bubba has problems understanding things in general. they are two deranged people finding a way to cope and to accept another human presence nearby. "Amanda is picking on a disabled person how can you say it's well!!!!" let me remind you that his entire family is picking on his disabilities and the fact that he loves but also FEARS his family is a big theme in Leatherface's story and personality
Also, another argument of yours was about “the power play” and how that’s problematic. I’m...honestly surprised you even thought of this argument because the entire slasher fandom, the movies, everything slasher related IS BASED ON POWER PLAY. Have you read what they wrote for Laurie/Michael to say the ship is based on power play and it’s wrong? No, me neither, cause I don’t care, but you seem to care enough to vomit about it. Go read some things and tell me how problematic the writing is, you need to call out writers too after all
Btw, surprise! I don't ship neither of the mentioned ships, but I can use my brain enough to see what omija does is actually well made and well thought, sick, weird in some instances, but well thought. kudos to you artist. I can also see those who ship Laurie and Michael are still nice people
But just like you and many others I have my own morals (do you now? Exposing yourself like that to NSFW content while so many people are scared for their life because of people like you? hmmmm) and I can’t really stand explicit pedophilia. I’ve read so many books or seen so many movies where it was mentioned, it’s a trigger factor, it’s taboo, therefore is normal to be used in darker works. It all depends on the circumstances and the way it is presented, cause it’s a piece of fiction. Nobody attacked George R. R. Martin for the controversial things he had written in his books right? I wonder why
Because, another surprise, fiction is different than reality and only this argument alone should be enough, but some monkey brains out there will come to scream at me how fiction affects reality. Someone who writes a murder mystery isn’t actually killing people when they put pen to paper. People who play shooter games do not wish to shoot people in real life. Someone who writes about rape will not welcome the rapist in their arms nor do they wish to rape someone. So on, it’s simple, again, we just need to use our brains.
If you have bullying-related or a family related or any thing related trauma and you see a Michael/Laurie fic or Quentin/Freddy or whatever other ships or subjects you have seen around, and decide to click on it, and then you have a negative reaction, that fiction is not harming you. Your unresolved trauma is harming you. Your decision to read something when you know it triggers you is harming you. The past actions of yourself and those who inflicted harm upon you are harming you. All of those things – your trauma, your real-life bullies, your actions – are real, and have the ability to harm you. (the italic bits are from @dracfics who said it better than I ever could put in words. Thank you)
next on your "who am I going to shit on today" is @renlvbon
not gonna lie, for the omija callout I read everything searching to see whenever you are right or not. I don’t personally know either of the artists but I could read enough to see you’re just a self entitled person with something to say regarding everything. for ren's callout I simply skipped after I saw your argument.
you're not doing gods' work by opening people's' eyes that they can or should portray the characters the way they are, disabled and gross. no, you're just picking on someone's art style
Can we stop this toxic nonsense???
don't get me wrong, I agree that we shouldn't make them supermodels and we shouldn't erase what they are, fucking ugly and gross killers, but saying people who don't draw them a certain way are cowards or calling them out or whatever else shit is TOXIC and ANNOYING. We all change them more or less, we have to because none of us are the original creators! We’re just thirsty people making them to be what we want and what we imagine because they’re fucking fiction
I’ve seen people agreeing with you saying the artist should consider real people with disabilities or on the heavier side (“like me” they pointed out). I’m so sorry if this comes out as rude but if you search or need validation in a horror community that’s not a good thing at all! Body positivity and a healthy approach to disabilities should. not. be. searched. in. a. horror. community or any community on tumblr for that matter. You want some positivity on that? In a real case scenario with them we all would die, no matter how you look like
Going back to the artists, some people don't have experience/ are insecure/ are uncomfortable drawing body hair or fat bodies or whatever. That doesn’t make them fatphobic or whatever shit I saw you writing in your tags.
Drawing a black character less than the color YOU think is good? Have you ever tried to color skin? There are so many ways to do it, there are so so many colors you combine and you play around with + lighting and shading that alters everything. and yeah maybe some people pick a different color, a lighter one, or a more yellow one than they should for asiatic people, or whatever. but these tones are NOT easy to get well (you can always put a brown color down and to call it a day, but maybe people won’t want that. They don’t want to be disrespectful, exactly cause there are predators like you that don’t know how to help, only how to fucking scream). Or maybe they simply don’t know how. Every artist has their own range of comfort zone, be it about subject - composition - colors - etc. I don’t do well with neon colors for example, it happens. Hell even the screen you’re using alters the colors
How about giving actual tips, support and explanations instead of rude call outs? And don’t come at me with the “color picker” shit cause color picker from a real life photo is hell and if you don’t know some color theory your art is going to look dull and lifeless regardless
The only time I can agree that whitewashing is wrong is when white-supremacy, nazi and other ugly shits like these are coming into the topic. But it’s not the case here
some young artists don't have the skill to draw certain body shapes, or body hair, or even a non-anime face. some others think putting a scar on the character’s face make them 'uglier' and ‘scarier’ and for them that's enough AND THAT'S ALRIGHT
drawing something that's supposed to be ugly but still having anatomy and proportions and a functionable mouth or eyes placement or whatever ISN'T EASY. ofc, you can go all out if that's what you want, but personally I want things to still be working because at the end of the day every single one of them is human. I'm not drawing dark fantasy in this fandom, I'm drawing slashers
NO ONE IS DRAWING FOR YOU. NO ONE IS USING THEIR SKILL TO MAKE YOU FEEL GOOD. art and writing, especially when is made in the free time of the creator, is made FOR THEMSELVES. If there are people enjoying it? Yay, that’s a win, but no one expects everybody on this planet to like what they’re doing. We’re getting back to that golden rule, DON’T LIKE: MOVE THE FUCK ON/ BLOCK AND LIVE YOUR LIFE. EASY. no one uses these unnecessary callouts for anything, if you have something to say do so kindly, if you can’t, just vent to your friends
So now let’s wrap it up cause IDK how many of you even make it through this point
can we fucking stop making young artists and writers cowards for drawing or writing how they can and however they fucking want? Please and thank you
this shit going on with "the best artist/writer for x y z character" or "conventionally drawing ugly Bubba uwu" will just destroy the confidence of whoever wants to keep drawing or writing or joining the fandom. There’s no competition who draws Bubba the ugliest nor who writes Michael the best. if you can do things a certain way, do it, and let the rest draw and write whatever they can WITHOUT FEARING THEY'RE NOT GOOD ENOUGH.
now I'm waiting for your very "well" argumented reply but I hope you'll understand that what you're doing is TOXIC and you should stop or at least change your way to address things. You’re talking to other human beings, not a void when you can throw any random thought you have in the morning. I don't care about you to be honest, but there are so many people out there following your words mindlessly and the creators are suffering and it's not fair.
don't forget to tell me to go kill myself. have a nice day
#ira talks#bfmyers callout#vent and triggers#this shit needs to stop#long post#my opinion#i won't put this in the main tags cause that's really useless#so I don't really know how to tag lol
