How would the ROs react to a clingy MC? (deep romance!)

In deep romance, I imagine all of them would be happy with a clingy MC, and return it themselves, lol!

But Adam/Ava would be reassured by the MC's presence after denying it for so long, so very happy for the clingy.

Nate/Nat would embrace that part of the MC, though assure the MC that it wasn't necessary.

Felix/Farah wouldn't notice that it was being clingy because they would be just as obvious in their clingy and assume that's how deep love relationships are!

Mason/Morgan would be very happy for that deeper emotional contact after so long without it and would be worried if the MC wasn't clingy! :D

...There's a lot of emotional issues going on in this team, so clinginess is definitely not an issue for them!

Hi! So, I'm new to the fandom, and I'm curious about something, maybe you can help me. I keep reading here and there about how each member of the team has a version for each gender, and like...when I played it was just Nate, Adam, Farah and Morgan, do ppl use mods to have them with opposite gender? Or does it depend on which gender your MC is?

It depends on 2 things: your MC's gender and their sexuality!

So, if you want a certain config or a certain gender of LI, you have to pick the corresponding Attraction ratio.

im going to be using eurovision 2021 for this since it was my favourite from the last 10 years so beware.

Adam/Ava

Would act like they are not really interested but would actually get very invested.

I think their favourite would be France's 'Voila' not only because it's in french but because it's just a simple nice ballad. (Also if them and the detective are..uhm...involed the lyrics could be....relatable)

Would get incredibly competitive during the voting. Would never actually cheer when a country gave France 12 points but their whole body would tense and they would just whisper 'yes!!' under their breath.

they would be so smug omg. they would be sooo sure that france would win. their smug smirk would be DESTROYED the second italy got their televotes.

would get mad that cyprus and greece gave points to each other and would go 'of course you fucking would.'

would get even MORE MAD that france lost and got 2nd place. Farah/Felix would tease them about it during the whole night while they grind their teeth together and proceed to break something of the detective's :(

would cringe physically once they saw england. would lowkey refuse to watch it as F made fun of them

their favourite would def be italy. that's when they would pay full attention and lowkey tap their feet to the rythm

would have to leave the fckn room when israel pulled that high note and be convinced to come back, would seriously be tempted do so again once switzerland came along

I got my second COVID vaccine yesterday and trying to sleep last night was rough. I felt all sickly🙃💀🤕. So it got me thinking how would UB take care of the detective if they got sick and I had to share my headcanons lol. The headcanons got a little longer than I expected so a "Read More" is appropriate haha. I'd love to hear other people's thoughts/personal headcanons!

🤡Ava/Adam: Pre-relationship/early in their route I feel like A would tell the detective to get rest so that "they do not affect the team's efficiency." And once the detective actually goes to bed, they would like appear at their door shortly after with water, medicine, and some snack (probably would have to ask N what they should give because human food?? Why would A care about that??) and present it to the detective. Now if the detective thanked A they would simply go "No need as you are part of the team and I am merely ensuring you recover quickly." It's not like I have 900 years of repressed feelings hitting me all at once because you smiled at me. 🤡🙃And then they would rush out of there. Now further into the relationship I see the bringing of goods still applicable but they would likely stay with the detective to watch over them. And *gasp* maybe they would hold the detective's hand to comfort them while they slept. 🤝

📚Nat/Nate: Absolute best person to have watching over you if you were sick. I feel like most of this applies for both pre-relationship and while in the relationship. N would have medicine, water, snacks, cold washcloth, and anything else the detective's heart desires because they want the detective to get better! Also, since we saw their overprotectiveness come out in the book 3 final demo, I feel like they might get a bit too mother hen-like or go a bit overboard with the supplies. They would just fret over the detective and any request (unless the detective wanted something unhealthy lol) would be no problem. Off they go to fetch it. If the detective has trouble sleeping because of the illness, I can imagine N grabbing a book (maybe one of their favorites?) and offering to read to the detective to see if that helps them fall asleep. They would have such a soothing voice.

☀Farah/Felix: F tries their absolute best at taking care of the detective. Similar to N, I think most of what I say would go for both pre-relationship and while in the relationship. I don't know how much they would know about certain illnesses as they're from the Echo World (and I don't think supernaturals get sick? I could be wrong lol.) So they would ask N likely for suggestions and even ask A and M if they had any suggestions on how to help the detective feel better. I feel like they would focus very hard to make sure the detective has everything they need. Oh, their glass of water isn't full? Gotta fill that. Cold compress losing its chill? Gonna get you a new one, babe. They would run around the warehouse so much just because they want the detective to be as comfortable as possible and when they run out of ideas they would kind of be antsy while sitting on the bed or in a chair next to the bed. It would almost exhaust the detective more lol. Eventually, if the detective comfortable (a.k.a not too hot), I could imagine F snuggling up the detective to try and soothe them to sleep. If the detective wasn't feeling too bad, F would offer them all the kisses in hopes that they get better soon. No amount of smooches is too much! 😘😘😘

🚬Morgan/Mason: First off, soft M-supremacy! M is my favorite so I thought about this alot. So pre-relationship/early in the books, M would have a hands off approach. They would likely watch another UB member (likely N) bring the detective stuff and for some reason, that they can't explain no matter how hard they try, they would stop by the detective's room to listen and see how they were doing. If the detective was awake, I could see them refilling water or grabbing something the detective needed if they were asked because M is loyal and wants their team to thrive. If the detective was struggling because they wanted to sleep but wasn't tired enough, I could definitely see M making an innuendo of "I know something fun that would get you tired enough" 😏👀 but likely wouldn't end up doing anything because sickness is rough and they want the detective to enjoy themselves wholeheartedly should they decide to bone (*insert the B99 gif of "BONE" here.) Now once they realize their feelings for the detective or even right as their on the brink of figuring it out, M would be soft ❤. They would wordlessly take things to the detective and get whatever they needed with only a few flirtatious lines here or there. The rest of UB would watch M go around taking care of the detective like "oh, yeah, you totally don't have feelings for the detective. Sure." Now if the detective was tired and asked M to stay (M would already just chill out in the room) I could see M laying in the bed (maybe cuddling if the detective wasn't feeling that awful hot feeling you get when you're sick) and just be comforting with their presence. I could see them running a hand along the detective's arm or back in a soothing way. Finally, I'm not sure if pheromones can make someone sleepy but if they do and the detective was struggling to sleep this would be the only time M wished their pheromones worked so that they could help the detective.

😭LT: The only thought I have to the LT is that both the A and N stuff above would be similar, but if N "caught" A getting stuff for the detective I could definitely see A pushing it off on N like "Obviously, you're the better person to take it to the detective." Also could imagine the angst if the detective like said "Thanks, A/N" all tired but they would say the name of the vampire that wasn't in the room?😢 I haven't played the LT so any angsty headcanons an LT player has is more than welcome lol.

The Wayhaven Chronicles is a game of Chess?

Hey guys, I have been thinking a lot about the nickname of the MC’s dad. Rook is the tower in chess and I was thinking what if the characters in Wayhaven all had corresponding chess pieces they symbolize. 

Adam/Ava: The Knight or the Horse piece. There are many reasons why Adam/Ava would be the knight. One reason is they are the first line of defense in case the enemy breaks through the castle walls (They are the combat specialist and team leader-- the first on guard). The second reason is looking at A’s past, a knight seems pretty fitting.

Nat/Nate: The Castle or Rook. This piece works together with the knight to defend against attacks. N is like this piece because the castle is seen as a defensive force which is reflected in N’s fighting style. The castle also has a way of keeping everyone and everything together. This may also explain why N is such a protective person towards the MC and the rest of the team. 

Felix/Farah: The Bishop. This seems like an odd choice but there are a few reasons behind it. In other languages, the bishop has many different translations. In Danish and Swedish, the piece is translated as “the messenger or “runner”. Which corresponds to Felix’s role on the team, I think his official title is “infiltration expert”. This is due to his ability to quickly apprehend a target due to his incredible speed and dexterity. This fits really well with the “runner” title and the fact the piece itself can travel great distances on the board. Another interesting translation is in French the bishop is called “the jester” which I think fits Felix a little too well. 

Morgan/Mason: The Pawn. Okay the pawn may sound bad but the reality is the pawn is very powerful piece, and if used correctly it can devastate enemy forces. M is like this piece for a number of reasons. One, the pawn is the first to attack enemy lines which we have seen many times in Book One. M, regardless of the route, was the first one to rush up against Murphy after the MC is found. The pawn is also able to play dirty in a sense because pawns can be promoted to another piece when they reach the other end of the board. We also do not know M’s full potential or real identity due to his forgotten memories (an unpromoted pawn can become many things)

Rebecca: The Queen. This piece is seen as the most powerful offensive piece in the game. Which is reflected in Rebecca’s status as handler of the team. She makes the end decisions for the team and has the power of the agency at her disposal. Also, she makes it her highest priority to protect the MC, or the King in this case. I mean she is a legit queen too which adds to the argument lol. 

MC: The King. This is the most vulnerable piece in the game but in a way the strongest. While the King cannot do much on their own, the entire game relies on them. If the MC or the King is taken or dies then the game is over. Much like the story, while the MC is the piece that is most in danger it is also what the game relies on to keep going. The other pieces seek to protect the King or in this case, the MC. 

I found it really weird that there are six different pieces in chess and there are six people in Unit Bravo....

Hi, i am starting The Wayhaven chronicles and I was wondering(since you seem to make art about it) if you could show me which name fits with who’s drawing? As I am a bit confused as to who is who and I can’t really get into it because of that? If that makes sense?

Ohhh I get you. I'm also like that in first playthrough so I constantly have to open the team stats haha.

I hope this helps haha. So here (from left to right)

Nate/Nat: The tall, (incredibly hot) one with tawny skin tone with dark brown hair and often portrayed with eath colored outfits

Felix/Farah: Dark skin, coily hair, and AMBER eyes. The eyes are definitely their most defining physical trait. And often seen wearing colorful outfits

My Detective lol: smol person among a group of hot vampires (please disregard her)

Adam/Ava: The tall (and an absolute hunk) blonde one with green eyes who is often shown frowning or just not happy 😂 Often drawn in a grey peacoat with their signature aviator glasses OR in a shirt with cargo pants.

Mason/Morgan: Often shown with long wavy hair and ALWAYS have a cigarette. Always in black or dark attire. Edgelord af

I only have an art of the male versions of UB as I have yet to draw the ladies (hopefully very soon) So I hope this helps you a bit? Haha

Unit Bravo as Team Avatar

Going off of this post bout which bender each person is

Nate/Nat=Katara

It's pretty obvious that Nate is a parental figure like Katara. They're both caring and sweet, but they're also the same in the way they'll do anything to protect their friends. There's a sweet and innocent exterior, but beneath it is a fierce warrior. Water is a good defensive, but can turn offensive real quick. Nate perfers a defensive approach, but we know that he's not afriad to use offense if necessary.

Felix/Farah=Aang

Felix can never stay still for more than a few minutes. Air is constantly moving like him. They both are quick on their feet and the most agile on the team. Aang and Felix are very trusting and wear their heart on their sleeves. They also are very empathic in that they can pick up on other people's emotions, like Felix being the only one who picked up on Adam's feelings in the LT route when not even Nate could and he's Adam's best friend. They care deeply about the ppl around them and have a strong sense of family, but they also share the pain of running away. Aang ran away from his home while Felix had to leave his mom behind in the Echo World. The way they deal with pain is similar because they both see the bright side of things and smile through the pain. Not to mention they're both well known jokers always looking for new ways to cause mischief.

Mason/Morgan=Toph

Although Mason fits the description of a fire bender better, his personality screams Toph. Mason is a force to be reckoned with when it comes to combat. He prefers to take his enemies head on like Earth benders do. Both Toph and Mason are standoffish, grumpy, and prefer alone time. They both have abnormally powerful abilities and tend to face a battle on the offensive. To add to that, they both make snarky comments.

Adam/Ava =Zuko

Not the young Zuko, more of the mature season 4 Zuko where he isn't angry all the time. Zuko is a very dynamic and goes thru many changes including learning to lower his walls down, which is exactly what Adam is doing when romancing the Detective. Zuko is the oldest one on Team Avatar and acts sorta like a dad to the gang. Adam is also the oldest member and Felix called Adam "Dad" once. Both of them are very mature and more serious than the others. They both have a defining drive to them. Honor with Zuko and duty for Adam. In addition, they both struggle immensely with inner conflict and are tense all the time. Zuko is a very versatile in combat since he also knows how to use swords and not just relying solely on his firebending. In physical (no bending) combat, he's the best one on the team. Adam's speciality is combat and both him and Zuko are precise in their strikes.

On google play store you can dowload it and it let you play a few chapter from the serial killer to your character meeting the team, Adam/Ava, Nate/Nat, Felix/Farah, Mason/morgan. (The team gender depends on your character's sexuality) you shouldn't have to pay anything, all these game are free trials.

And the other must be community college hero. Last i checked they were all on book 1. But CCH deals with very dark theme despite its humorous first approach. There is attempted sexual assault and child death. Yoi have to out some of your classmates fir grades, find their real identity their secrets exploit their weaknesses.

Hello! I wanted to say that I LOVE Wayhaven. It is brilliant and really immersive, and I also love how much thought you put into crafting the world, its inhabitants, and history. I also have a question about Unit Alpha and Bravo if possible? So, how would Unit Bravo react if Alpha attempted to compete with them for MC? I know we've got a glimpse of a similar situation in book 2, but what if it was a real deal? Who would rival who?

Like a love triangle kind of thing? Or if Unit Alpha just wanted MC as part of their team?

I'm going with the romance thing because I love angsty romance not to choose that one, lol! :D

If I was going to do love triangles, hm, I'm not sure if I'd go opposites to keep it interesting or similar to make it harder to choose...

I mean, if you put Lesedi against Adam/Ava, it would obviously be Lesedi because she is open and honest and wonderfully charming, where as A is…not any of those things, lol! So easy choice there!

Might be more difficult for the player if Lesedi and Nate/Nat were both trying to woo the MC!

So for love triangles, I might go:

Nate/Nat and Lesedi.

Felix/Farah and Tamiko.

Mason/Morgan and Maaka —these are opposites, but I really like this idea, lol!

Adam/Ava and Tane.

And now I'm getting all kinds of fun ideas, hehe! :D

Do any of UB have a favorite memory pre vampire and post vampire?

I mean, Mason/Morgan doesn't remember anything pre-vampire, so all their memories come after. They don't really value memories much and live much more in the present and enjoying that.

Adam/Ava pre-vampire would be spoilery, but post-vampire...probably when F joined the team. It really felt like that moment completed things for them, so it's very meaningful.

Nate/Nat...tries not to think to much pre-vampire. But post-vampire, probably meeting the MC if romanced. If not romanced...hmmm...I'm not sure. Would need to think on that one!

Farah/Felix has always been a vampire, so before they came to our world, their favourite memory was...spoilerific again! Their favourite memory since getting to our world was finding out about the internet and trying it out :D

The Wayhaven Chronicles—Update 09/Dec/2022

We're in full swing with the testing!

It's amazing getting comments back from people actually playing the game!!

It's also nice as the fixes coming back to me now are mostly all spelling or grammar issues rather than bug fixes. That's always a good turning point in the testing process!

I did realise as I was going through that I did miss out one variable! It meant I had to go through for all the 'bold/shy' flags and add the separate flags that trigger in the love triangle (so it tracks how you are flirting with N or A individually). So that took quite some time, but I know now that they will trigger properly for people in the love triangle!

Social media days were this week as well! Had a blast on the winter scenarios for Patreon! Which I can now give the dates of:

'In Snowy Depths…' (Nate/Nat Winter Special) - 8th December 2022

When the MC and Nate/Nat get stuck in the snow after an unfortunate snowy collision that ruins Adam/Ava's, uh, I mean the Agency's SUV, they have to find a way to warm up and pass the time until help arrives.

Have the LI dated humans or supernaturals in the past?

Nate/Nat has dated both.

Farah/Felix has also dated a human.

Mason/Morgan doesn't really 'date', but tends to 'date' supernaturals more than humans, only because they tend to hang around field teams more than the human agents (and field teams are primarily supernaturals) when at the facility.

Adam/Ava has only courted humans.
