No, I entirely agree. My first thought when the battle scene happened, if you could call it that, was "this feels early." They didn't really set it up, and the existence of x-5 on the timeline is just very oddly placed. How did he go from ridiculing Mobius about his jetskis to being a devout "let me live out my life" guy within the span of one episode. It makes no sense.

Also Dox? Why is she a threat. Why should we care. If they had set it up better it could have been interesting, but the main thing they did was show them walking down the hallway with a bunch of minutemen and equipment in episode one and then suddenly they were bombing the timeline??? There was no sense of suspense or intrigue like there was in episode one, they just hopped right to the action. (And that's an incredibly baffling choice, especially for it being the second episode.) That whole thing was just odd and it felt like it was shoved into the plot of this episode for no reason.

There's also the case of OB and the temporal loom. While that's the only plot point that was truly established in this episode from the last, it also felt like they were moving too quickly with it. The pacing of this episode was odd altogether, but OB creating the device and then it being unusable because the blast doors need to be opened by their designer just feels like such a giant prop/cop out and it's very odd.

Also, as much as I love Casey being a whiz kid with the guidebook, the fact that they focused on x-5's altered tempad, going as far as to say "oh no it doesn't block tracking", and then "resolving" that with a blink and you'll miss it line about how the bombing of the timelines must be why the tempad was altered was really weird. It just didn't feel satisfyingly resolved.

And then there's Loki and Mobius. I love them to death, and their characters are great in this episode, but I find the extreme focus on their relationship weird. Not bad, just odd compared to last season. If this isn't going anywhere, then that focus is detracting from any plot that they could be focusing on. And while I would be happy to watch the lokius show for as many hours as I'm allowed, the plot of the series is taking a detriment. They should have incorporated it far better than they have (although, once again, I am not complaining- those are the best parts of the show.)

And also both B-15 and Sylvie feel very detached from their morals and motivations from the first season. Sylvie ran away from the TVA after being named a variant, she actively fought against it last season. There is no way she would have like five minutes worth of trust in it before denouncing it again without some serious convincing. And that didn't happen.

The only thing this episode did well, in my opinion, was its characters- all of the dialogue felt in-character and it wasn't too strange aside from those prior inconsistencies. Also I love the locations they were at for this episode, but it's weird that they seemed not to utilize them to their full advantage.

I feel like there was a couple of episodes missing between the plots of episode one and this one. This episode could have been split into episode three and four and it would have made a LOT more sense- the brad interrogation/convincing Sylvie could be in episode three, and the branch bombing could have the entirety of episode four dedicated to it. And then in episode two we could have the OB plot and the x-5 sacred timeline story that we didn't get.

But yeah, I feel you make some very good and entirely valid points! I don't know what happened, but somewhere the ball was dropped immensely, and it's quite strange to see how that translated into the show.

I have no idea where the plot is going. I have to be real. I am eating up lokius interactions but where is the plot going?!

there was a jump in story from the end of episode one to the beginning of episode two. no explanation on why X-5 is on the sacred timeline and where dox is. they are completely split up and somehow X-5 knows where sylvie is but they don't go after her when they leave the TVA?? dox just wants to bomb the branches and thats it? but she was asking about sylvie in the last episode but didn't go after her...what is going on. I understand somethings will be explained later on but by the second episode everything should be CLEARLY laid out for the audience. especially when there are multiple subplots. what is the main plot tho?? sylvie and loki? no. He Who Remains? no. Revonna and Miss Minutes? no. none of these plot points have been established. When writing a show that has a lot of complicated ideas and plots, clearly establishing what the story will be about is crucial.

the only plot points I understand are O.B. fixing the temporal loom (tbh the only thing that makes sense to me). And Mobius and Lokis friendship.

the main plot may include: Revonna Renslayer knowing He Who Remains and working w/Miss Minuets, X-5 and Dox leaving the TVA to pursue Sylvie, Loki and Sylvie's messy relationship, Sylvie being in the future of the TVA, and He Who Remains creating the TVA.

I'm probably looking at this all wrong so if you'd like to weigh in please be respectful!

Or when u know he's gotten new ingredients in some other Link's Hyrule and is going to try and cook with them tonight, so u help him make a regular meal of smth else along with so the boys dont suffer stomaches

Like u can absolutely predict his bullshit all the time, just imagine the most adrenaline junkie thing he could do in that moment with the combination of things around him and you always know what tf he's up to, ur always right lol

Ur the only one who can get him to stop the chaos (besides maybe Time, weirdly enough Sky/Hyrule/Four bc they are the least likely to tell him to stop, so when they do, its usually a very, very bad idea)

Likes hair ornaments, he's got long hair for a reason after all

Likes u to style his hair, and esp if u teach him how to braid or do diff styles <333

He loves that u help cook/at least prep, and u make sure another Link helps too, bc thats a lot of ppl to make food for with little to no help 💀

About language brainrot. Imagine writer creator reader who finally learns how to write in Teyvat's weird symbols and they want to publish their book. They decided to do it anonymously to avoid the "aaaaaah our creator wrote the holy scripture" sort of situation. Except it didn't work. The reader's style is too different from the rest of the world, so even if they tried to simulate the flowery speech it wasn't effective.

Another thing. Reader who decided to read some local books to practice their reading. They asked for something simple and similar to their speech. But the only books merely similar to it are 2000 and more years old. It's funny how the older text is the more you can understand it. On this note. If reader write something i feel like it would be hard to understand for Teyvat's people.

Imagine a reader who is autistic or has any other NDs imparing their communication skills. They practically trained themselves to say sertain phrases in sertain situation. But it doesn't work in Teyvat. And everything just stacks at each other. Difference in speech, being a God (so people react weirdly to you), bad communication skills, not understanding nonverbal cues and so on. There's gonna be a lot of misunderstanding. I imagine how followers would walk on the eggshells not to upset and angry their God and reader who does the same not to say something people will get wrong. Again.

Reader who regained all their memories of creating Teyvat, they're super powerful and stuff. But they still struggle with the modern language. Because all the memories are like millions years old.

The one I really feel bad for in Dynamite is Jin. People always talk about Jimin's* voice straining, but man, I hear it with Jin--to the point that it's actually painful. The other version you played is so much better for all of them. Why go so high--just because you can? Weird.

As a soprano myself, I know it's often easier for me to sing in head voice than chest. Is that true for Jimin? Is that why he can transition so smoothly from chest to head voice? He's unmatched in this, I think.

But Be Mine... I am a wee bit concerned about a live performance. As you say, absurdly high. I wish he had gone just a step down.

*Somehow, it became acceptable to criticize Jimin's voice --and ONLY Jimin's voice. I didn't come here to shade other members; it's enough to say that they've all been shrill, pitchy, and even off-key at times.

i struggle a lot with explaining through words (bc words are hard 😩) so being able to hear the difference im trying to explain really helpful both for me to actually try to use words and to show everyone else what im trying to explain. it seems redundant to tell you about jimin's voice and singing if you dont know wth im talking about.

its impossible to be a perfect singer 100% of the time. the only reason jimin's straining gets talked about more is 1. because its jimin and ppl have smth against him and 2. because its actually more recognizable because of his tone. jimin's voice is naturally thin and high (kinda a strech, but similar to ariana grande), so you'll be able to notice a strain more easily. high, thin tones are harder to control than lower tones (all the more reason to appreciate jimin singing while dancing), so straining is more apparent with bad technique. that said, all bts members strain at times (yes even jk). its just how life works

im also a soprano so i dont have another perspective, but im pretty sure head voice is just a lot easier to sing in in general (someone else pitch in please), but i want to highlight jimin's clean transitions from chest, mix, falsetto, and head voice because that's not actually all that easy. a lot of the new singers i know only know chest voice straight to head voice. there is no blend. jimin being able to do that so effortlessly is actually amazing

i wil be honest i dont think the tenma parents have changed much from how they are in canon. i think i’ve mentioned saki before too. tldr for tenma sibs saki gets worried about tsukasa but tsukasa is allergic to vulnerability especially with her cause he feels the need to be this ideal reliable big brother for her. so saki feels helpless bc of how much she *wants* to help her bother but he won’t allow her to yk. any opportunity he has to leave/redirect a conversation thats getting too focused on him and if he’s feeling bad he takes. and saki finds it frustrating as hell.

do you know that one fanart featuring rui’s mom and the caption is smth like “when you have to watch your child go through the same thing you did as a kid and there’s nothing you can do about it” yeah its that kind of feel with his parents i think. caring so much about their kid and not knowing how to help him.

Favorite Author: have a working list of favorite poets that does not end at 1. have not read a book seriously in four years of exam/prep-locking. but even if i did, idt ill be able to pick any favorite bcs, yk. good things in many things. (tldr; its roald dahl) (and ruskin bond who i read when i was 5 and still read when im so tired bcs his stories inspire me to write always)

Hobbies: I dance(perform) sometimes? I write??(←derogatory, dubious) make stuff, mostly poems and stories and tinker with free things i can do, both online or craft. analysis of things with friends is a beloved activity. i liek yoga and stretching (rn in an ongoing war with 3° winter mornings to drag myself out of bed and go to class at 6) cooking when i have time but mostly, always, reading (or! watching) stories, poems and learning abt cool nonfiction things (does crying abt fiction count)

Favorite Holiday: none of the above its the trips and getaways u make for yourself. all my beloved memories are always mostly from when our family makes a trip to someplace my mom insists or there's a non-worrying emergency to go somewhere. just family getting together under some pretense, even tho it is stressful as fuck.

daniel giving max tips and tricks re: yeah no dont even try talking to helmut if you see him have more than 3 coffees in the morning lol not worth it you'll get shut down. DO talk to christian if he's got his door open, and especially if he's had a meeting with toto-- he'll be so out of it he says yes to anything you ask about

max staying late because FUCK he has to get this pro bono case done and it, like, sucks, and he still doesn't know what the fuck billable hours are-- and he thinks he's all by himself until daniel rocks up with a pizza and is like. daniel fucking it up in a trial and-- he's having a crisis suddenly and suddenly MAX is the one that can help HIM because "daniel of course I have been following your case you've been so stressed and look-- on page 28 there is this clause--" and they winnn!!! or whatever. im not a lawyer btw

max clearly getting on the partner track and daniel is getting. defffinitely feelings for him but they are-- also definitely discouraged from having relationships within the company let alone-- like, daniel doesn't want max to get any weird nepotism or fucking-your-way-up accusations and theres like a drunken moment where they kiss maybe, and max is suddenly like oh! oh wow i have feelings for daniel, whereas daniel is kind of at the end of this journey of "yup i definitely 100% have feelings for max. fuck. fuck fuck fuck." (also like. homophobia or whateverr they work at one of those pinkwashing rainbow tick companies but yk very "oh we have a gay employee (one)" :))

and so daniel... leaves! VERY shock news because ppl were like, oh suuurely he'll become a junior partner at some point in the next few years-- and its like, rlly shocking AND he has to not work for 3-6 months or smth because of sensitive client info and like, he has to start new at this new company (renault vibes) now and max feels like, horribly betrayed because obviously daniel didn't talk to him about it and-- why didnt he talk to him about it???

and daniel gets caught up in the move and sorting out his life and everything as well so he barely has the time to talk to max or to contact him or anything let alone like, examine his feelings now that a relationship would be POSSIBLE. anyway long story short: max feeling betrayed, daniel trying to see him again but only managing to do it in passing at like, trial overlap times they have and max is avoiding him because to HIM thats the clearest rejection you could get! (can't think thru a reconcile now but they do, and its hard, but then theyre lawyers in love or WHATEVERRR)

YIPPEEE YEAHHHHH LETS GOO!!!!! ok this got LONG so its all under the cut. uhm. i hope this tickles your fancy :3

i have SOOOO many thoughts abt these three tbh,,,, i had a thought last night of what it would be like if john and wilbur were engaged when wilbur. uhm. "died". but like 20 years later john's found xander and to hell with it if he can love them both. one is dead, itll be fine

except, wilburs not actually dead. he falls out of a portal and hes normal again and holy shit what does john do now. like thats still technically his fiance (and first love but shh) but his husband is Right The Fuck There

but it wnds up pretty okay. john makes sure wilbur really is okay and normal (hes as normal as he can be after being in the black for that long) and introduces them and it goes great

wilbur backs off of his own accord even though it absolutely destroys him to do so and gives both john and xander (mostly john) the shovel talk ("i swear to god- and ive met god- if you hurt him ill be one to get your ass and send it to hell" type shit)

but. where is this legally dead man going to live. aside from john, there arent many people who jnow him still alive (and ghats not to count the amount still working with peip) (there are two still working with peip. john and colonel schaffer)

so wilbur camps out on john and xanders couch until they figure out what to do from there

but wilbur is Old and Weak and hes honestly provably pretty close to (if not) disabled from the sheer amount his body has gone through and the couch is definitely making it worse. and xander being trained in medicine (though not practicing) steps in and is like "ok i know its going to be weird as hell but you have GOT to get in a bed. ours or not i dont give a shit" but they dont haev the space for another bed and honestly wilbur's been struggling to sleep alone anyway

so they end up dragging his ass into their bed and its like. the best sleep of his life. and he wakes up in the fetal position (normal) between john and xander (not where he fell asleep) and theyre both kind of holding onto him (what the fuck ?)

and he freaks a bit. bc thats his ex (?) fiance and his new husband. he cannot get between them like this are you kidding??

so he goes and sits on the couch but its really cold and he hates it (flashback sequence??) but he forces himself to not care and like. puts a show on or smth until xander wakes up and comes out like "why did you leave i was comfortable" and hes like "im already intruding a lot i felt bed" and xanders like "youre literally not but ok. do you like pancakes" and thats that (the answer is yes, blueberry ones)

and like a month later finally wilbur is cleared to get to work on mapping and explaining the black and white, and the lords in black, so he throws himself into that. 9/10 times he falls asleep at his desk or on the couch again and john and xander are both a little sad but theyte quiet abt theyre big boys theyre handling this great (<- lying)

and xander snaps after like. three weeks of wilbur destroying himself for the sake of explaining the shit he'd seen and he goes and demands that wilbur comes to bed one night and it goes a little something like this

"wil, come to bed"

"i have work to do"

"i dont give a shit, im shutting your laptop in ten seconds"

"no, i have shit to do. go cuddle with your husband" (< said bitterly)

"why are you being a bitch about this. we miss you" (< terrified this is wilbur shutting him down rn, but totally genuine)

"wtfdym you miss me. your husband is in there. you realize im your husbands ex right." (< getting increasingly upset)

"yeah. i mean. it doesnt really feel like you are ahymore, but if you want to call it that sure. but we miss you." (< catching on slowly. not fast enough)

"what" (< officially confused)

"have you not. noticed how much we're both kind of totally in love with you. really" (< losing his fuckingn mind)

"xander what the fuck are you talking about. what" (< also losing his fucking mind)

and then its a monologue about how john never stopped loving him and xander knew that if wilbur ever came back john would probably (definitely) go back to him in SOME capacity and he never minded. and then that happened and xander found himself doting on both of them and kind of maybe definitely falling really in love with wilbur and he can say not but. you get the point

by this point john is also here standing in the doorway (exhausted) (his fingers are crossed) and wilburs just stunned into silence for a while

and then he shuts his laptop and stands up and takes xanders (outstretched) hand and lets them take him to bed in silence and its. its his way of saying yes okay? its his way of telling them that he gets it, that he's done the same and that he loves them too

and they fall asleep together with wilbur in the middle. and its perfect

Oh ok maybe this is too many vocab words i dont get yet, and showed it to another person who spoke some Spanish and they were like ".. Uh, wtf is that?? What is that???🧐😟 Thats not even Spanish, but why is it almost???" And they just kept trying to read it so hard bc they thought it was so close it should work 😭

The angry Liyuean man no longer looks angry, oh, he's leaving, welp, you can tell u did smth funny, but u havent a clue what u actually said

Every now and then Beidou will come up to you and try to teach u more Liyuean words, but anytime the traveler sees it they shoo her off, she has a shit-eating grin on her face, while the traveler looks unamused or is at least trying to hide their amusement

(There r so many characters that will take advantage of this and only try to teach you cuss words, at least at first, CHILDE, kaveh, VENTI, Itto, BEIDOU, Xinqiu the little prankster, ppl i can think of quickly god i gotta look at a character list)

You learn much later that you probably should just give up trying to say any of your world's lang. That sound equivalent to each genshin country's lang. bc apparently the few words you know from them are either random shit like "egg, bowl, etc." Or straight up explicit "fuck, shit, piss etc."
