So a couple days ago I talked about an au where only Pure Vanilla survives (I’m calling it the Only Vanilla au), and someone sent an ask talking about how Pure Vanilla was going to have to tell Royal Berry and Dark Choco that their parents were gone, and since I headcanon them as being young children during that time, I decided to make this. They’re about 3-7 in this, with Royal Berry being around the higher range and Dark Choco at the lower

This is supposed to be from Pure Vanilla’s perspective, though I don’t think I was able to get the angle right. They’re supposed to be a lot shorter than him with us seeing from a top-down perspective. But instead they’re just sort of at a normal view. I need to get better at different angles. Which is to say I need to actually try drawing them

I wanted to make them look as small and innocent as possible so that you can really sell that angst

Also just random note, I know in another piece I did some months ago I said I headcanoned Dark Choco to be the older one, but I’ve since changed it to be the other way around. I think it was for the All Ancients Disappear au so that I could have a joke where after not seeing each other since they were small children, Dark Choco’s now huge while Royal Berry is very short, and they’re both just trying to process this

But yeah, have fun explaining to your young nephews (and I wouldn’t be surprised if he was made godfather of at least one of them, probably Dark Choco) that their parents are gone presumably forever, Pure Vanilla!

this speaking as a cis person. Nothing brings me more joy seeing people find gender euphoria in becoming a mediocre representation of humanity. And I mean that so genuinely. Local boy finds joy and fulfillment wearing a cargo shorts and t-shirt combo. Local girl has transitioned to look like someone's disheveled aunt, has never been happier. Local person experiences gender euphoria rocking the world's worst bowl-cut. Without a scap of irony, this shit makes me see the wonder and whimsy in just, being a human. An average, person going through their day-to-day, is a wondrous thing? That's amazing. And heteronormativity has stripped these experiences of their joy. Like you're right, wearing a basic girlypop skirt should make my heart sing. Why not? Why are these expressions lesser because they're normal? All this to say. Shoutout to all the basic bitches out there. Yes that polo shirt does make you look like a divorced golfer dad. Yes, that too is kind of a slay, now that I think of it.
