You know, when you talk like that, I almost believe you.

I’ve always thought that in his lowest moments in S6, Thomas might recall what Edward said to him when they first met:

“It doesn’t help me to be lied to, you know. I’m finished. And I’d rather face it than dodge it.”

Then he did what Edward once did to himself. Because (he thought) he realised all the time he’s been lying to himself about how life would become better one day and the world could not defeat him. He might be wrong all along. Too wrong about the reality of the world and of himself.

So eventually he stopped believing anymore. Just as Edward never did.

Not even for him.

i know he's not technically crying but he's so sad :( like how he's trying to put up a strong front but knowing that his whole life and his sons would be changed forever. and not knowing if he would be able to handle the change with his wife. and the way his eyes teared up, trying to be calm and collected for his family. he always blamed himself for her death. it was preventable had he not joined the fbi, he would've never known foyet. and haley would have never had to go through the gunshot. no matter what anyone says, he will always carry that guilt around with him.

i saw your post about zuko resembling his father, i wonder how lwpr zuko feels, seeing his reflection looking like his father every time he uses his swords. Ozai being there while Zuko carries out his will

S T O P. The pain I felt from reading this post. Especially with the ending planned???? Oh god. You know, maybe I should include this in the final arc, just a sprikling of angst.

I think Zuko doesn't even look in the mirror and see himself anymore in LWPR. Like yes, it's him there, but he never really ... knows who that is. It's just a reflection that means nothing to him, and I don't think it even registers he looks like his father.
