I can't get over that last scene from this episode. that long pause where sam was quietly grabbing a drink and you could barely hear celia talking to jack as she put him to bed in the other room. nothing was happening in that moment that needed to be recorded. no terrible events no big revelations. just sam and celia quietly going about their lives, sharing a domestic moment.

as something watched and listened. and we don't know why it's listening.

#ramblings with major #the magnus protocol #tmagp #tmagp spoilers #its like. its so unsettling because a) that faint ambient music did its job Very Well #but also b) we didnt have that in tma!! anything soft and domestic was left to the imagination!!#we got a couple establishing bits from scotland and then The Mass Ritual statement was recorded for obvious reasons #upton house also had very little on tape after the statement was done #i dont think there was ever that kind of quiet slow 'fluff' scene like that in tma #and there was always some reason things were being recorded. usually someone was aware of a tape being on #now theres just colin being colin and everyone else is only vaguely aware that their Computers are listening #no one knows about the phones not really. or the personal laptops. or the nanny cams.#and this is just. so much more unsettling. i love it sm it feels So invasive and awful ough

[DEMON GATE ADVANCES]

HOLY HELL. ok listen i need to talk about this one because I resorted to bassoonposting just to take the edge off of the insanity that is DEMON GATES.

Demon Gates features the following time signatures: 2/2, 3/4, 4/4, 5/4, 6/4, 7/4, 8/4, 12/4, 9.5/4, 17/8, 23/16, 24/16, and 25/16.

Time signature is sorta subjective when you don't have official sheet music, but I'm confident about most of these measurements. The big exception being the 9.5/4, which could vary by plus or minus one eighth of a beat depending on my analysis of four different in-game recordings of the same track. It marks the transition from phase 1 to phase 2, so it might be a dynamic thing. I stuck with 9.5/4 because it's badass lol.

With 25 hours of total work time, this was by far the most challenging music project I've ever done, and it was a blast!!! I hope you all enjoy!

well! this is probably about as finished as it's going to get. I am. so normal about that unwanted animal. I tend towards platonic jarthur myself but I was physically incapable of NOT drawing them to that line in the song. id and closeups under the cut <3

sometimes a theme tune composed for a show aimed at little kids is far better than it needs to be, when honestly any vaguely catchy or obnoxiously ear-grabbing formula would do just fine nobody would really care, and then you look up the composer and it's always some like. former member of an alternative rock group or experimental new wave keyboardist and you go ah yeah it makes sense now.

A shortcut!#Now imagine for a sec trying to get through a parkcore + miros bird gauntlet with a corpse and a worm within 5 cycles #before the scav ran out of karma and you were stuck inside forever. Yeah #Besides that tho I've been messing around and been very tenderly modding the game.#Turns out you can have a bit of fun with most sprites without too much effort by simply cloning the MSC mod in your files #Then changing the copy's mod info so it doesn't clash and simply swapping images out for whatever you want #As long as you have the sprite name you can do this. You can also change region names and decals and music all sorts of stuff.#In short I've been brewing a custom mod for a friend to make her suffer as much as possible <3 #Thanks to a buddy on the rw server for showing me that trick btw lol. The best cesspool I've ever participated in #Oh before I forget- the symbol on CW's head is completely made up. They just looked so... Bald.#Tbh I wasn't expecting their personality to be so... bright? Most interpretations make them kinda solemn and gloomy #But nah this CW is what NSH should've been 100%. I like them. Not gonna spoil too much but their situation is somehow so... chill.#Still bad tho!#Other fun news! There's a scammer going around on discord that's basically like ''bad news I reported you for fraud''#And they're getting a lot of people. My buddy that owned my home server got hit and we lost everything. It's all OK tho nobody was hurt #I keep trying to ask them questions on my alts but they're ignoring me...
