The things I remember: Wangxian has an spiritual connection, which is why the golden core transfer does not occur (and it is qing who informs Wei Ying of the connection, as Madam Yu knew and gave tea to undo the connection but it did not work ) and if I'm not mistaken Yanli is the one who told Wei Ying that the spiritual connection no longer exists (which is obviously wrong)

Hi, im #14. Unfortunately its not the fic that iam searching for. The one that iam serching for focused on wangxian, other characters barely appears. Even the jiangs only gets mentioned. Wwx didnt work for Jiang, i think he is graphic design freelancer? The agrement for divorce is between the two of them, their family didnt know about their agreement. They choose how long they stay together before divorce after they think that the project between their family is finished so their divorce wont effect the project. WWX even has a plan after their divorce to open his own office. If i remember corectly, WWX realize he didnt want to get divorced is a few days before the day of their divorce. Like he is in his room and thinking that after their divorce, he cant listening to LWJ playing his guqin and spend their days together and he didnt want that.

20. Hello! I’m looking for a fic where during the Sunshot Campaign, Wei Wuxian was able to tame the Xuanwu, resulting in victory. However, he wasn’t fully able to control its bloodlust so it was sequestered onto an island in Lotus Pier.

However, he leaves one day for a brief visit to Jiang Cheng and Jiang Yanli, JGS paid a child to visit the island and the child is killed. This causes WWX to go with the Xuanwu into the water surrounding the island and he disappears for many years.

Later on, Jin Ling ends up trying to prove himself by going into the forest surrounding this island (which has since filled with resentful energy). And finds that WWX has come back and the Xuanwu has been purified.

Winter 2024 Anime Review

I watched a few of the winter 2024 anime, and here are my thoughts ^_^

7th Time Loop: 10/10

It’s so beautiful! The animation is fantastic, the story is interesting, the characters are great, the romance makes sense, it’s just wonderful. I love it so much, I bought the manga, because I need more.

If you watch one anime from this season, make it this one.

My instant death ability is overpowered: 8/10

It’s fun! It’s obviously a parody, but it has enough serious moments too. The MC’s backstory is so intriguing. I really hope there’s a second season because I want to know more.

It gets minus points for Mokomoko and Hanakawa though. All that shouting was incredibly grating and annoying, and it wasn’t funny anymore after 3 seconds.

The Demon Prince of Momochi House: 7/10

It’s cute! That’s really it, it’s a lovely shoujou with supernatural elements. It has heartfelt moments and funny moments. No real surprises, but it’s nice to watch and pretty to look at, and has a good enough ending that it doesn’t necessarily need more seasons.

Villainess Level 99: 6/10

I don’t know. I think My Next Life as a Villainess was better. This wasn’t bad, but for me, Yumiella was just too obtuse at times. I would have loved to see more of Eloanora, especially with how prominently she features in the ending theme, and I did like Patrick.

It gets minus point for the worst cgi dragon in the history of cgi.

A sign of affection: 5/10

I’m really on the fence about this one. The animation is beautiful, there’s no doubt about it, and I love how they used colour to show their different ways of thinking and their “worlds”.

But I didn’t buy the romance. Yuki still pretty much getting a heart attack and being so so embarrassed about Itsu even just looking her way, even after they got together and had kissed, got annoying fast, and Itsu was just way too aloof. I didn’t feel that he liked her at all. For example, she was so excited about landing that job, and he texted “grats”? Not even a full word. Come on, dude.

And don’t get me started on Oushi. He’s an arsehole and an idiot, and I don’t even wanna say more about him. I didn’t buy Shin and Emma’s romance either. The only ones who made sense were Kyoya and Rin.

I had a lot to say about this, haha.

Solo Leveling: 3/10

I don’t get it. I kept watching because I kept waiting for something to happen that would justify the hype, but it just didn’t. Nothing happened at all. The pacing is so bad, I feel like I have watched 4 episodes, maybe 5 if I’m generous, but it’s been 12 already.

I will say though, the soundtrack is fire. I ordered the CD because it’s so good. And the animation and aesthetic are very good too, which is why I didn’t give it 0 points.

I just started The weakest tamer goes on a journey to pick up trash, and High Card season 2 is next on my list. If you have any recommendations for me, let me know ^_^

After 5 months of building, my Killer cosplay is finally DONE!

I give you - me!

I Commissioned the hoodie from someone I’ve bought from before - a great seller on Etsy named Simakaihoodies.

I asked about potentially making a Killer hoodie some months after I purchased her Red (UnderFell Sans) hoodie and ended up wearing it nearly everyday for 4 months straight (seen below).

I wanted to make it as close to canon Killer (owned by Rahafwabas) as a could, and she already had a great “faded blue” color cloth around from a previous Dust commission, so we went from there.

After that we went to what I’d like to see for a fur trim in a tan/cream-ish color, and upon not finding floof with the fibers as long as I’d like right away, nor the right shades, the hunt was on.

Some weeks later she stumbled upon the perfect option and was quick to sew it up and send it out.

It was STUPID HARD to find white basketball draw-string shorts with a thick black line down the sides WITH NOTHING ELSE ON IT.

I wanted NO other colors, NO designs, NO trim, NO mesh-y type holes, NO piping, NO huge logo, NO fancy stitching.

Plain.

White with black.

Shorts.

After a couple months I found em.

I ordered a pair of leather fingerless gloves, they didn’t fit, wrinkled awkwardly, so I tossed ‘em.

I went to the children’s section of the dollar store, bought a pack of knit gloves, and cut the tips off - perfect length!

Finding the right-shade-of-blue high-top canvas Converse in my size was NEAR IMPOSSIBLE too.

Either it was too expensive in pristine condition (which I DIDNT want), or leather (which I don’t think he’d wear), or the wrong size (my size is popular apparently so everything instantly sold), or was a flat-out wrong shade of blue.

C’mon, Killer wouldn’t care if his shoes are clean or not… his shoes would be beat-the-fuck-out, so I needed WORN ones.

I didn’t want to deal with stiff canvas.

I was probably gonna leave the laces untied to drag on the ground, so I didn’t care if they were clean or not.

I didn’t care about stains or scuffs.

BUT! They HAD to nearly match the faded blue of the hoodie - the canon Rahafwabas art shows they’re a similar color. One CANT be too much darker or lighter than the other.

After a couple months of searching, I found someone who LOVED their Converse enough to actually USE them before selling, AND they were the right shade.

I got ‘em for $16!

So Killers socks are slouchy, right?

THAT BITCH stressed me the fuck out building.

I TRIED to commission someone to make one.

Messaged a TON of people on Etsy about it, but no one could or would (some people said they were too busy cuz it was the Christmas season).

So I decided I had to make it myself.

Only I had to find the right-shade-of-red cellophane.

And I couldn’t just buy a single large sheet like I wanted. Stores (even online) only sell a massive pack.

So I just hung-out til it was the first week of February and stole some squares out of a Valentines Day decoration.

Exacto Knives, acetone, 3 special kinds of glue, and HOURS of tracing circular objects in my home, and it’s as good as I could get it for a first attempt.

I lucked-out when it came to the brightness of the damn tap-light. I NEEDED the light to be visible enough to tell it was on even in daylight (cuz, DUH, Killers SOUL always glows; not just in the dark!).

Mystique @lady-of-disdain helped A LOT on deciding some things when I couldn’t figure out a best option on my own. Her Killer knowledge and tastes match my own, so when stumped I chatted her up - this would have taken longer without her input.

My next piece I commission will either be Mutt’s floor-length hoodie/duster from Fellswap (which is gonna be heavy as FUCK with all that fabric), or a Horror Sans hoodie (but I gotta find an effects-blood that won’t wash out, and study blood-spatter patterns and test ‘em out before I go and mark up any commissioned piece. Maybe I’ll use a real axe for the pattern to look legit, who knows).

In the meantime I’ll be work on completing Red’s outfit.

I still need a LOT for that guy, and finding the right-shade-of-yellow socks that will match the black shorts with yellow stripe, that’ll ALSO match the yellow in the hoodie is gonna be a headache.

(The Finn Wolfhard extended universe shrine mocks me with the center piece being a poster my girl bought me for my birthday. It's also been called "Stereotype California" which is remarkable because I am Californian and totally don't do that on purpose because i think it's funny. LMAOO when I was picking up my package today I didn’t know what the second package was but I was hope it was the album. When i was unboxing it while walking back to my dorm I saw it was the album. I was on the verge of tears I think this lady noticed maybe she was a teacher or just visiting. That woman was staring LMAOO She was probably like what made this girl on the verge of crying like this?? Is she good?? Little does she know it was because of an album!!

No but it’s kinda crazy the realization hit hard that I waited over 7+ years to own his op 1 & 2 and she is albums. ( I already have base and poet. I also want his Skelton flower book to.. but that’s for another day. ) that when it was right in front of me and in my hands it didn’t feel real.

so to celebrate getting his op 2. Album I shall list things that I loved album the album other than the actual music itself.

1. I love the fact that he based the songs off of stories from listeners of blue night ( his radio show )

2. I love the general aesthetic of the album. it’s very minimalist and clean vibes. It gives off a gloomy ocean vibe which I love. The CD has a picture of the ocean waves on it. I find the ocean very calming and this album is also calming so I feel like it compliments the album even more

3. I love that jonghyun likes adding CD only songs like fortune cookie and where you at. Nowadays buying CD’s is less common. People focus on streams. So having CD only songs is another way to compel fans to buy the CD and support the artist while at the same time it’s away for artist to give back to fans.

4. I love the way that album gives a detailed description of what genres are featured in the album. my version of the album is the Taiwan version. I bought it new as well — so the description was in Chineses rather than Korean. It was a bit hard to translate but what I got from it was that they mentioned the different genres in each given song and what the song was about.

5. I love the fact that music in the album was recorded featuring different instruments. He credited all the musicians who played in his songs throughout the album which was refreshing to see.

6. I love the fact that in the description they mentioned songs that jonghyun had produced for different artists. etc lee hi’s breath, lim Kim’s no more, IU’s gloomy clock and exo’s playboy.

7. I love how the songs are categorize by story . I don’t have the album in front of me but in the able it has a section in Korean saying “op2. Story 1..” and then it would listen the songs for that story. For example: story one was lonely and 1000. This was very creative, and I’ve never seen an artist do something like this before. It allows you to look at the album in a new light. Some songs I’d look at the lyrics separately now I can’t help but look at them a whole try to unpack the full story.

8. I love the photoshoot! I’m a huge fan of the beach. It’s always been a comfort place. Seeing so many beach pictures in the album was so soothing to my mind. this album photos show a sense of comfort as well as mix of struggle. Which is what life is.

9. I love the fact that the songs are so diverse in the album. we see different genres like R&B, jazz, pop etc. You can tell jonghyun put effort with each songs. Every sound was deliberate. For example in our season— the song takes place in winter where he sings about how winter is less cold because his lover is with him. We hear winter bell chimes through out the song setting the mood.

10. Lastly, although most songs on the album are inspired by blue night it is clear that he put aspects of himself in the songs which I love.

His lyrics are always spine chilling Prehaps because of his relatable his lyrics are or just because of the way he beautiful words each lyrics. I’m just really greatful that I can say I own one of my favorite albums now. My jonghyun albums are one of my most prized possessions and I don’t think I could ever give it up. Jonghyun had helped me through a lot of dark times even now. I hope one day I’ll be able to have all of his albums including his book. As for right now, I’ll obsess over this op 2. Album.

Today was the most lovely of them all

Ok. ok it was crazy. first of all. the weather..... ohhh my god. beautiful. sunny. lovely. there was so much driving and cool breezes and giggling with glee and cute dogs and adventures and yummy snacks.

second of all. i had 2 first period spares which would usually mean i start class at 1:00pm BUT i accepted a slot to tour a family at 8:45 so i was there for that. this was my last tour of the year and i really put my all into it (it lasted AN HOUR) and i think the family actually liked me

while i was doing my tour my friend was sitting in the library and when i stopped in she lifted up her phone which read "do you want to go to tim's after this". im never one to decline a drive anywhere or coffee when i havent had breakfast. i got an apple fritter and a black iced coffee (bliss). BUT while we were there. who did i spot. but people doing fucking geomatics (the program i didnt apply to but got accepted to at waterloo) so we took a silly photo with them. then she drove me back to school and had to go to english :(

BUT she left me with our other friend who had a spare like i did. so since it was such a lovely day we skipped/ran all the way to the beltline and to the tree we discovered a couple weeks ago. sat and listened to music :)

then it was time to help our friends with their promposals. BUT there wasn't enough room in the car for everyone we needed so i climbed in the trunk. turns out i love the trunk. like a rollercoaster ride and fun and cozy and i loved it. also one of the dates hadn't ever been seen in person and was 10x hotter than photos. so amazing.

then when we got back the rest of my friends had spares and went to get boba soo i was totally bummed because i had to go to 3rd period. but when i got to 4th there was a bubble tea waiting for me (eeeeeeeek)

then i had to stay out of the house until after 5. so my friends and i went to sushi (i didnt get any bc im SKINT) so while we were sitting around waiting for a friend to get out of her ap bio exam. this rlly cute guy walked by. and 2/4 of us found him cute... but i was totally not there for that. so blah blah she tried to work up the courage to ask him out and stuff. when she finally did he had JUST walked away. but still cute good times.

so then our ap bio friend was starving and our other friend left so we all went to chipotle so me and ap bio friend could eat (used order ahead with family uber eats... very sneaky) absolutely scrumptious and i love that area of the city

+ the friend driving always rolls the windows down and my friend on aux has sublime music taste so it was just. so much fun

on the way to chipotle the 2 friends in front got the idea to go see challengers. 1 friend had already seen it but was determined to see it 3 times... so that comes up later

here i called my friend and had the funniest fucking conversation because everyone around me could only hear one half (you just woke up... oh no the dogs... chicken sandwiches... well tampon is #1..... no you don't have school tomorrow.... yeah no its next week now.... lucky i called you... the new season is out?!)

then after chipotle we drove down to the theatre and dropped one of us off along the way. and on the way there i rolled down my window to rest my head on it and look out and the wind was just so perfect and i felt so nice and i loved the song that was playing and it was just... yeahhhhhhh

also my friend called me asking to hang out on the way there and i just felt really loved

THEN OBVIOUSLY CHALLENGERS WAS AMAZING AND WHEN SHE GOES TO SEE IT FOR A 3RD TIME IM COMING. ALSO SHE BOUGHT MY TICKET BECAUSE AGAIN TOTALLY SKINT SO YIPPEE THATS A WIN. THANKS TO ALL MOM FRIENDS OUT THERE

then we listened to inhaler on the drive back to my place for some water (specifically these are the days which felt SO fitting). my friend was shuffling her favourite songs and one i showed her came up so. almost cried there. (She's a Jar- Wilco). We had been seeing really cute dogs all day because it was finally nice out enough and we saw the ultimate fluffiest friendliest dog on the drive back.

my step mom happened to arrive at the EXACT. SAME. TIME. and creepily followed us making spooky noises just to freak us out.

after a bit everyone went home but just. ugh. the day was so perfect and wonderful im like high on it. and i had to transcribe the entire thing.

2023 Drama Round-Up!

I know no one asked for this, but I figured I’d post what I’ve watched this year and how I rank them in case anyone is looking for recommendations! I saw @dangermousie did this and stole this idea (hope that’s ok!)

14. Heartbeat: It was…fine? Didn’t really leave me with any lasting impression. Was hoping for more from a drama about a vampire. I need a good vampire drama. This wasn’t it.

13. Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo - So much potential, didn’t live up to the hype. Give me those BATB vibes any day normally, but in this case the FML was too Mary Sue for me.

12. Back from the Brink- Fun! Good side characters! ML bored me to tears. FML carried the drama. Will keep an eye out for her.

11. Moon in the Day: A solid story. Nice and neat. Definitely would watch the ML in other things. I’m always here for a reincarnation storyline.

10. My Journey to You - Esther Yu! Zhang Linghe! Other awesome characters! Vibes! Otherwise just OK, I wasn’t super invested in the story. Would watch a second season if they deign to make one.

9. The King: Eternal Monarch - Another one that had great potential and I ended up somewhat disappointed. The concept was fantastic. I really love a modern day story with a modern monarch who’s beloved. I’m a big fan of the two main actors so that bumped it up the list. Unfortunately their chemistry was only so-so.

8. Tale of the Nine Tailed S1 - LEE YEON AND LEE RANG brother dynamic sobbbb

7. Doom at Your Service - Great leads with awesome chemistry! Sad! Story was simple and sweet.

6. Love is Sweet - OG Bai Lu/Luo Yunxi couple!! I loved them so much, I’m def watching this show again and again. Couldn’t stand the second couple, though, I skipped all of their scenes.

5. Alchemy of Souls S1 - This show has such a phenomenal concept, and a really well flushed out universe. The side characters are all great and three dimensional. I love the magic too. It’s lower on the list just because I’m not as emotionally connected to the leads as I am to those in other shows, but I really love this show.

4. Tale of the Nine-Tailed 1938 - This show has it all: magic, romance, historical setting, fashion, time travel, politics, humor. As much as I love LDW/Lee Yeon, the show was really an ensemble triumph. The story, the action, the humor, everything was top notch. Excelled in surpassing the first season in quality which seems so unlikely but they really did it.

TIED FOR SECOND

Til The End of the Moon - What can I say about this show? It’s wump central. It’s serving misunderstanding trope but make it completely overdone and unbearable. The fake blood budget alone could have paid all of the actors’ salaries. The female lead got shafted in favor of the male lead.

And yet…

You’ll think about this show every day for the rest of your life. I know I do.

(Also credited for the beginning of my obsession with Luo Yunxi. He’s babygirl. Tantai Jin is the best character ever written.)

Goblin - Oh man, this show. THIS SHOW. Despite some controversy over the age difference between the main couple, i love them. I grew up on vampire romance, nothing can sway me there. I really bought into their romance and I was devastated when they went through it. I cried more in this show than I have in any other. I also completely loved and was invested in the second couple, which almost NEVER happens.

Despite the romance of the two couples being stellar, it was the friendship and the found family that really sold it for me. The Goblin and the Grim Reaper have the best friendship and wildly fun chemistry onscreen. I couldn’t get enough of them. I watched the bts of them so many times over.

And my favorite for 2023…

1. Love Between Fairy and Devil - My first Asian drama. My first love. Noting will surpass this. No couple will touch Dongfang Qingcang and Xiao Lan Hua. I’ve rewatched it twice already. It’s the clear winner.

I’m currently watching My Demon and so far it’s rly good. Might break top ten.

1. The Magicians

- if you see me post anything other than Top Gun and memes, it’s usually this damn show. I have it on DVD & was immediately obsessed with it when I first saw it. I fell in love with the characters that I even went out and bought the book series (I have yet to read them though). Queliot is my true OTP and my heart aches for what the show did to Quentin. I will never get over it 😭

2. Gossip Girl

- this is my guilty pleasure show. I always hate telling people I love this show because it’s so drama filled and toxic relationships are everywhere, but this is definitely my comfort show. I always rewatch it and can find myself saying the lines along with the characters.

3. Chuck

- funny story, the person who does this show also does Gossip Girl 🤭 I’m in love with Zachary Levi and he did this character so good. It’s just a goofy, but fun show where you’re constantly rooting for the main character, Chuck. You can’t help but fall in love with all the characters as well (Casey, my love). It’s a fun lil spy show that my dad actually got me into.

4. Ouran High School Host Club

- y’all can pry anime out of my cold dead hands because this is also another guilty pleasure show. Definitely a comfort show as well next to Gossip Girl. It’s only one season and I’ve watched it time and time again. It’s such a fun show and definitely kind of weird, but I can’t help but love it.

5. Demon Slayer

- once again with the anime 😅 I’m eagerly waiting for the next season to be finished so I can watch it. I’ve finished the manga and I’m not ready to see it come alive in the show. I definitely end up sobbing each season and I love seeing how all of the characters interact. rip rengoku, I miss you 😭

6. Grey’s Anatomy

- the amount of tears I’ve shed watching this show 😅 I had to stop at one point because it made my mental health very unstable because I was crying every day because of it. I ended up started over back in 2020 and immediately fell back in love with the characters. I still have the biggest soft spot for the first season main characters though :/ I haven’t watched it since the beginning of season 18 though and idk if I want to finish it without Meredith now that she’s gone.

7. The Walking Dead

- I LOVE this show. My sister and I started rewatching it and finished it as soon as the last season ended. I definitely sobbed when my favorite characters died, but now I’m rooting for Michonne to find Rick and for everything to be alright — I can’t wait for the spin-offs they’re planning on.

8. Stranger Things

- as almost everyone else, this show has taken a hold of me ever since I watched Season 1. Season 3 was the best by far, Season 4 had me going crazy, and I’m so ready for Season 5 already. Aka I’m ready to be a sobbing mess for whoever they decide to kill off 😭

More // Low this one's been on intermittent repeat since the vocalist Mimi Parker passed away of cancer last year. i had an aunt who was kinda like a second mother to me, was about her age, and passed away of cancer, so i feel for everyone who loved Low, and this song kinda reminds me of her. i also consider this album to be noise (among other genres) and while i love harsh noise i also think this song shows off the breadth of the genre--here the distortion is used to carry a lovely wistful melody

Oh I have several systems I use to make this time of the year less of a nightmare, I'd love to share! Unfortunately I do not have a "succinct" setting so here, sorry :) here's the short version, too much under the cut.

TL;DR: Steps to an easy gift list:

1, REUSE your lists each year.

1b, LONG LISTS! Yeah no. Longer than that.

2, Categories can help

2b, Steal gift ideas from others!!

3, for REAL change your options up

4, Be specific about what you actually want

Wishlists were a pain for me for a long time. Eventually I got lazy and then I got smart. I also listened to complaints people had about others' wishlists, and tried to avoid their issues. I've used like one list for I think the last 4 years now, just refreshed. I have it in categories mostly to help me.

Tip 1: Refresh it every year. Instead of starting from scratch every season, when people start asking for my new list I just pull up last year's and delete everything I received/bought myself/just don't really need anymore.

Tip 1b: Make your list long!! Too long to be able to get everything. That lets you refresh next year, but it also gives people more options to choose from (vital) and reduces their anxiety about getting you the same thing as someone else.

Tip 2: This is optional but I use categories. They help me get more specific ideas, organize my thoughts, can help people narrow ideas down or help with off-list gift inspiration, and can also help people add to their own lists.

**Categories: these are arbitrary and all include miscellaneous items automatically. It's just a tool. Mine are Dog Things, Hobby, Home/Personal, and Kitchen - the dog things are on their own because they don't fit anywhere else; 'Kitchen' has its own category because it's one of my biggest categories personally. Other than that, personalize it: Art Supplies. Programming. Sports & Outdoors. Tools. Books. Games. Whatever's good for you**

Tip 2b: ask all your family/friends to give you their list and then steal their ideas :) works like a charm. I'll add some of mine at the end.

Tip 3: VARIETY. IT'S IMPORTANT. Some people want to be able to drop a lot of money on something you'll definitely like - maybe all your siblings want to buy you that gaming system together. Include it (at least for inspiration). Ask for that weighted blanket you really want. Don't feel bad for including expensive options. Some people want less expensive things - you want a LOT of these, especially easy ones: candy or treats, bath bombs/nails/face masks, candles/wax melts/incense you like, stickers, fun note pads, socks etc. (When gifting, these are helpful to add with a smaller item so it brings a little extra bonus.)

Some people want to buy you something useful. Some people want to buy you something FUN! Some people want to help you by buying something you need anyway; some want to gift you something you can't justify buying yourself but still really want. Include all of these! Give people options!!

TELL PEOPLE WHERE TO GET GIFT CARDS YOU'LL ACTUALLY USE!!! These are such a helpful inclusion!!! Some people are just gift card people. If you don't want generic amaz*n/walmart/fast food gift cards, TELL PEOPLE what stores & restaurants you already go to, especially for things you enjoy. If they can give you 5 nice boba teas one one card, or gift you clothes by putting $50 on a piece of plastic for you instead of actually trying to pick out something you want themselves, they'll do it!

Tip 4: Specificity. Some things speak for themselves, but if you write one word per item on your list, expect to get some things that are technically what you wrote but definitely not what you wanted. To avoid this, list scents/colors/brands/qualities you like ('over-the-ear squishy headphones [noise-canceling?]' is better than 'headphones,' where once I got gifted a new pair of the exact set I hated and was trying to replace); the specific use of the item you need ('spice/food organizers,' 'room organizers,' 'closet organizers,' and several other things can't be substituted for each other); A LINK to an option you like (!!! I learned this from my sister-in-law, where every list item has "like this:" and a link to a model that she already likes. The links will also sho similar items, stores she trusts, more details than you could ever write down & more); okay I got tired of writing. You get the gist. BUT If you include CLOTHES YOU MUST INCLUDE SIZES. NO IFS ANDS OR BUTS. SIZES. Styles too if you don't wanna get fucked over (or!! gift cards!!!!)

1. Are you named after anyone? 

My full name, technically yes? My parents were teenagers when i was born and as unprepared as any 17/18 year old would be. One of my aunts was holding me and said "I had a friend named THIS growing up, she was really pretty." and my mom heard the name and knew it was mine! My middle name is after my mom's childhood best friend (again, teenagers.)

My nickname, Sen, is a shortened version of my childhood nickname, coined by my little brother who had a hard time talking for the first few years of his life.

2. When was the last time you cried? 

When I was reading the last chapter of @hexiewrites beloved hockey AU!!! the rainbow imagery just GOT ME!!!

3. Do you have kids? 

No!

4. Do you use sarcasm a lot? 

No.

5. What's the first thing you notice about people? 

Their eyes

6. What's your eye color? 

Dark brown!

7. Scary movies or happy endings? 

Happy endings for sure. My real life has been scary enough!

8. Any special talents? 

My memory. I'll just remember the most random facts that I hear, it's like photographic memory but with hearing things? Very good with faces and names too. My brain is just a bank full of random facts about people I probably only met once. But also of people in my life now.

9. Where were you born? 

In a hospital.

10. What are your hobbies? 

Writing, reading. Just getting into bookbinding (gf bought me a laser printer for my bday!) and am currently wrestling with a typeset of missed connections fic as my tester fic. Once I get good, expect messages from me asking if i could bind your fics LOL

11. Do you have any pets? 

I wish!!!!

12. Have you played/do you play any sports? 

HA HA!

To no one's surprise, I was a cheerleader from age 7 to 18. I was also a varsity swimmer for 4 years in high school, ran 2 seasons of cross country, and did 1 season of soccer!

As an adult I realized I hate the gym, so I go on runs in my neighborhood and go on hikes! New years resolution is to move my body more, so I plan to pick up yoga at some point!

14. Favorite subject in school?  

History! Started in 5th grade when we were learning about American History and the fixation remained through college. Which is why I am a barista with a Bachelor's in History, focused on the US!

15. Dream job? 

Screenwriter for films/tv! Would also love to work in production. Maybe write a novel or two.

The book was Twin Crowns! It was okay, like Idid really enjoy the story and the worldbuilding, but there’s two pov characters which somehow made the ending feel really rushed despite it being 500 pages (I think it’s the chaos of having too much going on whike constantly switching back and forth between both characters). Also, it’s apparently part of a series, which I’m kinda meh about because I didn’t know when I bought it since the second book wasn’t out yet. And I’m not really sure if I want to stick with the series or not.

Yeah, there was a really long break between season 3 and season 4 because covid (I think). Tbf, animation also takes a long time. But the show didn’t get cancelled! In fact, it got confirmed for a total of 7 seasons, which it needs because it tends to tell a story over several seasons. Like 1-3 is one story and 4-7 is a different but still related story after a 2-year time skip. But yeah, I get not continuing. I almost quit after s4 because that one was a mess (they have a habit of making things canon in bonus material, which can cause for some amazing whiplash /neg when you haven’t read those), but I decided to still try season 5 to see if it was better (and it mostly was, the pacing is just still a bit all over the place). So I think I’ll stick with it for the last two seasons.

Oh and the original writing is going well! I gave myself a 200 words a day writing goal. It’s still relatively low so it’s easier to make myself write every day (mostly so I don’t drop it immediately when I don’t feel like writing, I just have to open the document and write 200 words, or 150 if it’s really not going). At the same time it allows me to make decent progress when I do feel like writing (mainly because I already have some scene written from when I was figuring out the story and characters so now I can use/rewrite those for this first draft). It’s a lot of fun and I feel like I’m actually writing something good for once. (continuously reminding myself that it’s just a first draft also helps to take the pressure off.)

hmm yeah multiple pov characters can definitely make things feel rushed depending on how you use it. I try to avoid multiple povs whenever I can because it's just a lot to balance, but I think it can work. you just gotta be careful with it

if you're already feeling meh about the next book I'd say don't bother with it unless you hear some really amazing reviews about it. there's so many interesting things to read out there, if you've already given the story a shot and you're not into it, there's no harm in just reading the first one

oh that's cool that the show didn't get cancelled!! makes sense why I thought it did though if there was a really long pause. glad to hear they're still going strong!! though I gotta admit making stuff canon in the bonus material is. not a great way to go about it. guys cmon.

that's a really good word count goal to have!! 200 words a day is really good progress but it takes so much pressure off for sure. also it's always important to remember that the first draft might end up not looking anything like the final draft so just do whatever you can to get the story down on paper. you can always edit later :)

my day's been alright! had to run some errands, go to appointments, figure out how to drag a gigantic tv box down to the dumpster in my buildings parking garage, cooked fish in an air fryer for the first time- just a lot of stuff lol

Thank you @l8tof1 for tagging me! 🥰 1) where do you follow a race?  I watch it via F1TV, because I sure as hell won’t pay to hear Dutch commentary😜. For FP and Quali I always have the same set-up: Mainfeed on my tv (with Sky commentary) and on my MacBook splitscreen. So on my left side the F1.com livetiming and on the right side Lewis onboard. Only thing I change for the race day is that I change the F1 livetiming for the F1TV timing board. I like to watch the mini sectors and timing (for long runs for example) a bit closer during FP and quali, but during the race just the lap times are enough.  2) Do you watch by yourself or with others? By myself. When I was a kid I used to watch it with my father (since he’s also the one who got me into this sport), but ever since I live by myself I watch it on my own. It’s because 1) I’m from Max Verstappen land what the hell am I going to do in the middle of all these Max fans? 2) I like my set-up (as written above) and I get a bit anxious when I don’t know why Lewis is slow/not set a lap etc etc. With his onboard I know he’s managing or was held up etc etc.  I did it once for a race in 2021 - when my friend had her bday party in a room full of Max fans - and luckily for me it was a race not much much happened between those 2. And twice during FP in 2022 (one at the office and Lewis was P1 so I said: ‘So we gonna watch together on Sunday again? haha😂). 3) Do you watch every race and all sessions? Yes. That’s one of the pro’s of the new way of working: from home and at the office. So on F1-weekends I always work from home on Friday. I luckily rarely have meetings during FP so I can watch it haha. If I miss something during the F1-weekend I 99% of the time make sure it isn’t raceday. The 1% for this season was last Sunday when I went to the Nations League final haha.   4) Do you have any superstitions? ... *runs* *hides*. OK BUT I AM NOT CRAZY. I have a few ok. I’m already a very superstitious girl in general so...  Ever since the mess in Monaco I have a new ‘ritual’. So we all know it was not a good weekend with Lewis crashing during FP3 as the cherry on top. So I bought a certain drink for quali and Sunday and put on my Plus44 shirt and for quali it worked (at least out-qualifying his teammate). Sunday I put the same shirt on, open up the drink during the formation lap and take seven sips (now don’t come for me with EIGHT EIGHT!!!!). Mind you I watched the start inside a football stadium last Sunday and during the formation lap I took seven sips of whatever drink I had just to be sure. My friend was: ?????? HAHAHHA. And you all be DAMN sure when that formation lap starts in Austria and I’m standing in the stands watching him warm up next week I WILL take my seven sips 😂😂😭

5) what do you do after a race? Put F1TV on on mute waiting for Lewis’s interview and put a Sky stream on.  Besides that scroll, scroll, scrolllllll. On here, Twitter and Reddit. Just scroll and take in the comments/reaction/content.

1. What’s your favourite sims death? Probably... vending machine? Even though death from being too embarassed is always a mood.

2. Alpha CC or Maxis Match? I’d say a MM leaning Maxis Mix? There’s some details that I like being a little more alpha-ish, like eyelashes.

3. Do you cheat when your sims gain weight? Nope! It never even crossed my mind T___T

4. Do you use move objects? I wouldn’t be able to do shit without it, let’s be real...

5. Favorite mod? I don’t really use a lot of mods tbh, but I’m really thankful for better in game lighting 

6. First expansion/game/stuff pack you got? I bought basegame together with Seasons and Cats & Dogs I think

7. Do you pronounce “live mode” like aLIVE or LIVing? LIVing, never even thought it might be the other option

8. Who’s your favorite sim that you’ve made? ...probably Jaqueline, I love that girl so much ; ; 

9. Have you made a simself? Yes! I actually made my whole family, which is like... 6 people, a dog and 2 cats lol

20. How has your “sim style” changed throughout your years of playing? I have had the game only for a little more than a year, so... I don’t know how much it has changed tbh ^^” It’s still pretty basic, but I feel like I’ve gotten better!

24. How do you edit your pictures? I’m so so bad at editing, so what I do is I follow THIS tutorial on Photopea and that’s it lol I just lithgtly change or skip some steps, based on what I need.

25. What expansion/game/stuff pack is your favorite so far? Season is a must-have honestly. It’s so so basic, but it changes so much in your game. 

26. What expansion/game/stuff pack do you want next? Honestly I’d like them to make a better system for vacations, like hotels and so on. Also one of my favorite part of new packs is having new worlds, and I’d like for them to for once give us something different? : )
