Here's a snippet from that child fic...

He latched onto Wind. Something about him--it wasn’t even that he was the Hero of Winds--was just… more familiar than anyone else. It was like... like they were brothers in their cores, like he had taken every step of his life with him, like their hearts and minds aligned, like they shared stories and lives. It was like they'd always known each other. It was hard to explain, how his spirit sang in familiarity to Wind's, but it was something he couldn’t help but latch onto.

BG3 platonic fanfic recs (Gale-centric or others)

So (the Force help me) I recently fell into bg3's hole. And I fell deep. (Well only 19h of gaming for now XD. In the underground. But i don't mind spoils).

So I wondered if anyone around had any good Gale-centric fanfics? Or just Gen (=platonic, no romance or romance is not the center of the story) bg3 fanfic recs with any main character?

Yes I know this whole fandom is horny and no I have nothing against Astarion (who seem to be the center of 80% of the fanfics XD). I'm not a fan of self-insert nor smut though, and i dislike romance (yet i love bromance :p), but if the story is good the story is good.

Well crack and angst (or well action adventure plot) are the best in my opinion (not a fan of fluff either most times, i need things to be on the move). All lenghts are good but 20k—80k tend to be the best.

Words: 11,662 Rating: Teen And Up Audiences Warnings: No Archive Warnings Apply Summary: When Link comes across an odd mass of darkness swirling in the middle of the Great Sea, of course he has has to investigate! Such a strange new sight needs sussing out, and Link is willing to use every puzzle-solving tool he has at his disposal to do so- up to and including a certain little pear. He probably shouldn't have pulled out the pear.

Thoughts: This is a hilarious take on the "Wind meets the chain" idea. I've read this particular fic more than once and laugh just as much every time. It's a personal favorite of mine.

"Polnareff?" he called quietly, tentatively, almost hating to disturb him. Especially since he'd been avoiding him for the past two days.

The turtle's eyes opened. "Giorno? What are you doing up?"

Giorno shifted slightly, embarrassed. "I…I just had trouble sleeping. Is it okay if I come in?"

"Of course."

Giorno felt a little relieved at that and stepped into the turtle room. Polnareff was sitting on the couch with a book in his lap, but he set it aside with a small smile when Giorno appeared. "Ah, you even brought tea. Bien!"

"It's chamomile," Giorno said as he set it on the coffee table. This time he took a seat on the couch beside Polnareff instead of across from him. He thought it might be easier to have this conversation if he wasn't looking at the Frenchman. He picked up his cup of tea and sipped at it. He'd never been a fan of the taste of chamomile but hoped it might help him sleep.

"What's on your mind, Giorno?" Polnareff asked after the long pause of silence.

Giorno didn't answer for a few seconds, trying to decide how best to put his thoughts into words. Nightmares were always something he had kept to himself. There was no one around to listen to him, no one for him to crawl into bed with as a child to chase the monsters away. And, honestly, how he missed those childhood nightmares of monsters brought on by his terror of the dark. He would rather a thousand of those than one where he was the monster himself.

"I'm…afraid," he admitted, feeling both better and worse speaking those words out loud.

"Of what?"

Giorno took a deep breath. "Of what I might become," he said quietly. "What I did the other day to Raffaello. I scared myself. What if my power corrupts me and makes me no better than my father?"

Polnareff exhaled slowly, thoughtfully. "It's understandable to feel that way, Giorno, but I don't think you have to worry about that."

What are your LU/LOZ First headcanons?

Personality, trauma responses, family role (big brother, father, only child, etc), favorite foods/colors/season, anything!

I've never written First before, I don't see that much of him either and I'm working through fanon stuff while waiting for my paycheck to get the Hyrule Historia(is it Hystoria?), but I'd love to hear your headcanons for him!

Absolutely he just works for anything and everything

he even has specific traumas with every single link he can bond over

Trapped in a dream and meeting a whale god (wind and phantom hourglass)

Soldier trauma for Warriors (and the fact that both probably suffered under the circumstances of soldiers turning against them)

The master sword Fi (Sky and him bonding over her)

Time and him can share the fact that legend is theorized to have used the triforce to make the hero of time survive the fight with ganondorf

Twilight (spirit form like both bunny and wolf and it’s relation to dark magic)

Four (an entire dungeon called the four swords palace dedicated to scar people for life and also forced to fight four similar looking shades who look like four)

Hyrule (the decay of the timeline and the destruction of all legend worked so hard for)

He is just to vertical to not be a plot device

I love how well Legend works as a plot device for fics because of his veteran status. Got an item you need to work in? Legend probably has something that’s close enough, or you could just say he bought it for his stockpile. Need someone to be able to relate to a specific experience? Legend has 6 games worth of content for you to pull or extrapolate from. Need some background characters to help inform the heroes? Legend has 5 kingdoms worth of citizens he’s saved to choose from. Need romantic drama? He’s got that in spades no matter which partner you give him. So much content packed into one angry little man and I love that for him! :)

A Strong Won't

Words: 6,864 Rating: Teen And Up Audiences Warnings: Creator Chose Not To Use Archive Warnings Summary: Warriors wasn't the type of person to ask for help if he thought he could handle something on his own. After crushing his foot and almost bleeding out...he still wasn't the type to ask for help.

Thoughts: This is some good Warriors whump. Definitely one of the better ones out there. It is kind of bloody, so if you don't like reading about messy injuries, you should probably sit this one out.
