"Heh, course ya are,"
The Oni hadn't had a habit of listening to any 'order' he was given, not that the other had a habit of trying to order him around. The larger male would continue to hold the other close, gently stroking what hair he could as he continued to listen. While it may not have been the best time for them to talk about their pasts, it was a good a time as any, and it helped them to grow closer as a result.
"Good, I wouldn't want ya to either. I want ya here, with me."
The larger male had finished his small tale fairly quickly, but that was due to there not being a lot more for him to say about his past. HIs planet was gone, nothing but space dust and debris now. He was the last remnant, the 'one who got away'. He wasn't being hunted, that much he did know, at least. Whatever had happened to his planet, be it natural, or not had taken his people, and everything he held dear.
"I never knew who I was supposed to marry, when I got back I was supposed to meet 'em and we were supposed to... just go with it."
He had loved his family though, even though he'd been set up in an arranged marriage for who he was. The family he was born into. It was basically a requirement for them to be married to start their own family.
"I can't say that I felt love the way ya did, but I lost my family back on my planet. Everyone I knew, all my friends, they're gone. I loved 'em but probably not to the extent that ya loved who ya lost."
They'd both lost so much. Of course, the Oni was going to be as understanding as he could be. He was happy to listen to Eros talk, or speak, about literally anything. He loved the smaller male and he was going to do everything in his power to prove that. He was also going to prove that Eros deserved his love.
He remembered being told about Alexi, whenever he listened to Eros talk about his father showed that he loved the man. He had a feeling had he ever had a chance to meet the other man, he would have gotten along with him. He would have talked to Alexi about how much he adored Eros. He knew the smaller male was capable of love because if he wasn't he couldn't have loved his parents as he did. Nobody can fake such a bond.
"I don't plan on stoppin' anytime soon, Eros. I love ya and you're gonna be stuck with me from now on."
He'd offer a genuine smile toward the other, even though Eros wasn't looking at his face, he would help the other feel that love in whatever way he could. As Eros' hair fell down, the larger male would begin sliding his clawed fingers through the pink with gentle strokes. A gesture that had been used to calm him when he was younger. It was something his mother had done for him. He wasn't sure if it would work, but he wanted to at least TRY.
The Oni would adjust slightly, keeping his arm around the little doctor, before getting up and moving toward the bed, still holding the other with his one arm. Something he knew the other liked, was that he could carry him so easily with only one hand or arm.
"All ya had to do was ask, Eros, ya know I won't say no to kissin' ya. No matter how many times ya ask."
And he would. The distance between their faces would be closed as the taller male leaned down once they were seated on the bed. He'd press his lips gently to the smaller male's, the kiss gentle.
He was going to muster as much love as he could before pouring it into the kiss they were sharing. He wanted, no he NEEDED Eros to know he loved him.
"'m very fuckin' well aware..."
But even with the more aggressive word added in, it was said softly. There was affection in it as he clung to the other. Sniffling quietly now as he listened to the other speak. Suppose it was nice, actually. That they could share small things about themselves even if there probably were better times for it. Or maybe now was as good a time as any.
And really, Eros couldn't deny that he'd felt the same. That he wanted to know more about the Oni he was falling in love with.
"I never wanna go back...not ever."
And he would listen and he would not gently as the other spoke. For he knew about what it meant to lose a love one held dear, didn't he? Maybe not to the same extent, but he knew.
"I was- th' person I fell in love with...they promised they'd steal me away and- and save me from it all. We were s'pposed t' meet th'night-- th'night everythin' happened t' me...b'fore I- I get whisked away and ended up on Jarilo-VI. It- I ain't- I jus' want ya t' know I- I get it-."
Maybe it would help. That they could learn a bit about each other. understand each other even just a bit more. After all, Eros had spoken so often about Alexi during Itto's visits to Jarilo-VI. Itto knew of the good things. The best thing that had ever happened to Eros. His beloved father and the mother he had never gotten to know. His pride and his joy in healing. Itto saw the face. He hadn't seen the man behind it, not before now.
But now he wanted to be seen. The same way he'd been seen on that lonely night with nothing but his violin and a sad song.
"Don't ever stop, then...I don't know what I'll do if ya ever quit."
He stayed pressed against the taller man as he sobbed. His fingers clinging so tightly to the other. The hairpin he'd so messily put in falling back out as his hair fell over his shoulders and down his back. He looked so small in comparison to the air he put on. In comparison to how that big cardigan swallowed his figure and every insecurity he held.
And for once? For once Eros felt small. But maybe this time...small could be good. Maybe this time small meant he could fit easily in the grasp of the man that he loved. Maybe this time... Maybe this time...
"...if y'don't kiss me right now, Arataki Itto-- I think 'm gonna go crazy, hah. Kiss- kiss me and make everythin' better-. "Please make everythin' better..."
