Could I request the reverse of your ‘when you catch them staring’ headcannons? And with a lot of teasing from the reader too?
୨୧. heart eyes — mortal kombat one. kameos : sub-zero. scorpion. smoke + johnny cage & raiden
when you catch them staring at you.
Tumblr media
bi-han tries to make his staring unnoticeable. with his silver mask blocking away any emotions that he could display, his eyes have become naturally expressive over time. they gleam whenever you pass by him, a foreign softness to them. the permanent scowl is less intense when he takes a moment to memorize details of your face. your eyes captivated him the most — a whirl of emotions so deep set into your irises. he could stare at them for hours on end.
it’s when you asked bi-han to revise tomorrow’s training module, his staring is much more obvious in such a closer proximity. his dull brown eyes look restful, more hazy with warmth that contrasted his deadly cold nature — yet he still looks terrifying, but it could never be helped when it came bi-han, it was his resting face. when you quickly look up for a reply, he realizes all too late that he’s caught, yet his stubbornness tells him not to falter under your gaze as he mentally cursing at himself for his blatant act of staring.
“are you angry at me or is there something on my face?” you quirked an amused brow with a smile, tilting your head cutely.
bi-han just grunted in response, snatching the scroll off your hands and raising it against his face to avoid your teasing gaze — thankful his mask hid his redden cheeks. the grandmaster would have to die of old age before he admits that he admires you from afar. but for now he’ll deal with your relentless teasing.
Tumblr media
kuai liang loves to admire beauty whenever he encounters it. the vibrant, pink blossoms grown in wu shi academy always made him smile. the fresh greenery and exotic plants that he cared for always brightened his day. but all those things were incomparable to your beauty and intellect. he loves to watch you fight — even looking past the sweat and messy hair after intense training. he watches you with adoration when you converse with the younger trainees — resilient and beautiful — he thinks.
you tended to him after he comes back from a mission, offering herbal tea and a scenery of his garden under the moonlight. you converse with him, although it’s one sided. kuai liang stares at your lips, soft and pretty — curling into a sweet smile. you notice that his soften eyes were directed on your lips. a rush of heat flowed through your body, how long had he done this for?
“what is so interesting about my lips kuai liang?” you muster the courage to ask, mentally thanking madam bo for gifting you tinted lip balm.
his reaction seemed halted before he realizes he was indeed caught. he chuckled nervously as he propped himself up to turn towards the luminance of the moon. kuai liang was flustered, but when he felt your balmy lips on his cheek, all the shame in his body vanished.
Tumblr media
tomas isn’t subtle. at all. he’s very much aware of that, even his brothers and the young trainees tease him for being so smitten at plain sight. even so, he still cannot help but continue to stare at you with a loving daze — nervously fiddling his fingers behind his back. through his daily admiring, tomas came to the conclusion that he loved everything about you. his eyes tend to dart to your bright eyes, soft lips, pretty hair, and silky skin.
when you’re accompanying him with his training, cheering and playfully applauding at the younger ninjas dueling in an tense battle. the action playing before tomas was lost in time. it was blurry, silent, unmoving but all he could see is you — manipulating this time stop in his mind with your raw radiance. then his eyes widen when you met his gaze and suddenly he’s panicking. with trained speed, he’s now looking down at his feet, whistling a broken tune.
“this is the third time i’ve caught you staring, you know that right?” you mused, uncontrollably giggling when tomas nods in flustered acknowledgment.
tomas looks up from his feet and sighs in defeat. even caught another time, he’ll still take the opportunity to look at the scene before him — your cheerful grin and gleaming eyes. if his staring problem can make you this happy, he doesn’t see why he should ever stop.
Tumblr media
johnny cage is a shameless man. he loves to flirt and proudly embrace his failed attempts at flirting. eye contact is key, he believes. a very effective technique to swoon others and an act of intimacy without touching. johnny loves to stare at you, in hopes of meeting your eye and share a perfectly cliche romantic movie experience. but with your oblivious nature, he hasn’t been successful just yet. although he learned that he loved your smile — instead of his usual attraction to anything below the face.
mindlessly wondering around the fire temple, johnny finds you sitting on the stairs while reading a rather thick looking book. he immediately joins your side, flashing a white smile as he enthusiastically boast about his acting career. even if your eyes aren’t on him, to much to his disappointment, you acknowledged every word and responded in interest. then he gradually stops talking until he’s mute and you grow concerned.
“johnny, did you fall asleep?” your brows furrowed as you turned to him, his head resting on his knee.
with his frosty blue lens, you couldn’t tell if he’s awake or asleep. slowly, you took the frames off his face and flinch in shock. his eyes were wide open, staring at yours with unfamiliar intensity for a moment. then you smile and turn away flustered. finally! he made eye contact and was rewarded with your beautiful smile. johnny’s hollywood charm works … most of the time.
Tumblr media
raiden is clueless when it comes to his staring problem. he doesn’t mean to stare half the time, it was a force of habit — automatic admiration. you were simply bewitching, even in simple attire that was paired with a stained apron. his eyes are big and soft when he looks at you, even so when he talks about you. it could take kung lao screaming in his ear for raiden to snap out of his enchanted state. he promises himself to be more subtle, and so he did.
you’re pacing around the tea house, serving refreshments with impressive finesse while warmly conversing with the local villagers. under his straw hat, raiden watches you intently — noticing the loose stands fall on your face as it tickles your neck. your soft hair frames your face perfectly, dancing through the air like silk in the wind — one of your most beautiful features. under a smitten daze, he doesn’t notice how your body is much closer and how your voice was much clearer, soothing his ears.
“it’s okay to call me over for a chat raiden, i don’t bite.” you jested as you tilted his hat back with a finger, meeting his eager gaze.
he’s blushing now, beet red. a nervous laugh escaped his lips as his eyes averted to the side — caught in the act. you only adoringly smile at him, leaving the check on his table as you tend to another customer. another friendly interaction, raiden thinks. but when he looks at the check, a small heart and the time you’re off work was written on the parchment. his cheeks suddenly hurt from smiling too hard, he couldn’t wait. but for now, he’ll kill time by watching you from afar.

Hello!! Can you write about Smoke trying to ask fem. reader to be his date for Kuai Liang's wedding?
Plus One - Tomas x fem!reader (5+1 fic)
in which Tomas tries five times to ask you to be his date, and the one time he finally gets it right
a/n: i love weddings guys
ship[s]: tomas x fem!reader
warning(s): post-kanon
Tumblr media
1 - Johnny
Tomas had a plan.
Walk in the hosting room, hand you the small bouquet of wisterias, and ask you to accompany him to his brother's wedding.
Easy, right?
Wrong. Especially with a woman as beautiful as you.
You two weren't dating (yet), but Tomas had been pining after you for a couple of months now.
This wedding invite would double as an opportunity to ask you out completely.
Tomas holds the flowers he plans on giving you, stands in front of the door for a couple more seconds as he hypes himself up for you.
"You can do this," Tomas whispers to himself. Gripping on the handle of the door, he slides it open to meet you in a... precarious situation.
Johnny is chasing you around with one of Tomas's masks (elder gods know how that ended up in the hosting room). You were padding around the room in childish joy, but stopped once you saw him.
"Oh, Tomas!" you greet. "Sorry about that, Johnny dropped in for a visit for some research on Japan. Kuai Liang invited him in."
Your eyes drop to the wisteria bouquet.
"Who's that going to?" you ask.
Tomas tosses the bouquet out to the side, smiling tightly as he walks in and closes the door.
"Nothing! It was for sister..." he lies, guilty he's using Harumi as a scapegoat.
As you and Johnny continue playing, Tomas grits his teeth.
He has six days before the wedding. Day one didn't go so well, but he has six more days.
Yeah, he thinks, Tomorrow will go just fine.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
2 - Raiden
You and Tomas are greeted at the entrance of the Wu Shi by Kung Lao and Raiden.
"Welcome, our esteemed guests," Kung Lao teases. You roll your eyes, bowing halfway.
"Funny, Kung Lao," you greet with a smile. Tomas does the same thing.
Five days until the wedding and Tomas still has his bouquet waiting for you. Since today was a visit to talk about security for the wedding.
Perfectly stowed away in his shirt, Tomas is by your side as Kung Lao and Raiden talk about the safety of the bride and groom.
A monk suddenly rushes to Kung Lao's side, whispering to him about... something.
"Apologies, everyone!" Kung Lao announces. "I'll be taking my leave, but Raiden will show you two more of the details."
Waving Kung Lao off, Raiden begins to tour you guys around the place and offer more insight to security and what the monks can provide.
You'd think that Tomas would have the perfect opportunity to talk to you about the wedding and going as a couple, but he didn't.
Raiden was stuck to your side the entire day. Literally, glued to your hip as he showed you every nook and cranny about the academy.
It wasn't even about the security of the monks anymore. He showed you everything and everywhere of the academy.
Little by little, Tomas could feel his confidence wilt and waver. It wasn't until the sun set that you finally were able to address Tomas.
"Raiden is such a hospitable young man," you gush, hand on your cheek as you wave goodbye.
"What was it you wanted to speak to me about?" you ask, walking with him as a portal opens back to the compound.
Tomas tucks the bouquet deeper into his shirt, smiling tightly as he glares at Raiden.
"It can wait until dinner, dove," Tomas answers politely. You smile, and Tomas can feel the guilt take bigger bites out of his conscious.
Poor Raiden, he was just trying to be friendly.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
3 - Kenshi
Four days.
Four days until the wedding and Tomas's chances have been ruined twice now.
No matter, since he still has time.
Today, Tomas knew no one would be taking up yours, his, or the clan's time at all. His bouquet for you was beginning to wilt a bit, but Harumi supplied him with plant food and a matching vase.
Carrying the flowers in its vase, he walks to the garden and pond in the back of the compound.
In all honesty, the days he got interrupted gave him time to practice his words for you. So this time around, he's more confident and ready.
Rounding the corner, he finds you sitting by yourself on the wooden ledge. The breeze was light and cool, and your hair billowed like a willow tree.
"Good morrow, dove," Tomas greets. You smile, a dust of pink over your cheeks.
Before you could say anything, Kenshi appears from the room behind you (was that always there? Tomas thinks). Though his eyes are no longer useful, his brows do the talking as they're up in surprise.
"Good morning, Tomas. What brings you here?"
A vein pops in his neck, and he bites back from saying "i live here, doofus". Keeping up appearances, he recovers and smiles semi-politely.
"I just finished training my students," Tomas answers.
You look to see that Tomas has the same flowers from a couple of days ago.
"I thought you had given that to Harumi already," you point to the flowers. "Did you not get it to her?"
Tomas mentally curses himself, "Ah, she wasn't in the other day."
Putting the flowers to the side, he sits down next to you and Kenshi, Kenshi to your left and him on your right.
You three are engrossed in conversation, and Tomas is actually okay with not being able to ask you out.
Besides, Kenshi is rational, Johnny was an idiot and Raiden was touchy (no he wasn't Tomas is just getting antsy).
I have tomorrow, Tomas thinks, Tomorrow I'll do it.
The wisterias keep bending over the lip of the vase, almost like a cursed rose counting down the time he had left before he'd be cursed forever.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
4 - Kung Lao
With two days remaining until the wedding, Tomas's patience was running thin.
The wisteria bouquet was losing its color, and the taut petals were shriveling like raisins with the time passing like this.
Still, he remained hopeful. Just as there were wilting petals, there were still some that were bright and healthy.
"Today for sure," Tomas tells himself. "Today is the day I'll do it."
If Tomas had a ten yen coin for every time his allies came through and stopped his advances for you, he'd have three. It isn't a lot, but it is weird it happened three times.
Tomas opens another pack of fertilizer for the the flowers, dumping it in the water of the vase before he stirs it with a wooden dowel.
He's not bringing it today, since it looks like a bit of a mess. To replace it, he has a letter and a bouquet of baby's breath.
Leaving his room, he wanders the compound again to to try and see where you are.
It's a warm evening this time around, and the sun has barely just touched the horizon. Tomas can hear the birds chirp and fill the silence of nature, and he finally spots you.
You're by the entrance this time, leaning on the huge maple wood door frame while talking to someone. Despite the posture you're in, you look as regal as ever. The sun shines and illuminates your very features, and Tomas can't help but sigh like a school boy in love.
He steps closer, rounding the corner to see who could be making you cover your mouth as you laugh, only to find the silhouette of a sun hat.
"Oh, hello!" Kung Lao greets. His dimples are out as he smiles fully, pearly white teeth shining as he waves the smoke ninja over.
"Come join us! Little birdie over here was just updating me about the wedding plans!" Kung Lao yells.
You swat his shoulder and tell him to hush.
"You said you would not tell!" you scold. "This is a secret!"
Tomas hid the letter in his shirt and the bouquet in the pocket of his pants. He couldn't intervene, not now, and not when you were clearly enjoying the laughs Kung Lao was providing.
Still, Tomas remained by your side, back straight and putting up the best front he could. However, the bouquet in his pants portrayed a different story.
Tomorrow, Tomas thinks, I'll do it for real.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
5 - Kuai Liang
The last day before the wedding.
Everything should have been in place so that the bride and groom could have time to relax and be with their respective parties before the day of the ceremony.
So why is it that you and Kuai Liang were together at a flower shop, piecing together his corsage?
It was strange, too, considering a corsage is a western practice- Japanese weddings didn't even need flowers unless it was for the bride.
Tomas didn't want to give up, not when the wedding was so close, but the fact he ended up following you and Kuai Liang to the flower shop in the village near the compound meant he was on thin ice.
And boy was he desperate.
Tomas was ready. His wisterias were healthy, the baby's breath was still in tact, and the flowers worked so well together. The letter was the perfect touch too.
So the fact he saw you and Kuai Liang leave together, he couldn't hide his frustrations any longer.
"Brother, I swear to the elder gods..." Tomas mumbles to himself as he watches you two from a roof nearby.
He was still thinking of a way to come up to you two naturally, and without showing the vase and letter.
At this point, though, and with the wedding tomorrow, he felt defeated. He felt like he had given up.
He keeps the flowers and letter on the roof, telling himself he'll get the later. He takes his mask off and ruffles his clothes to make it look like he ran errands.
Finally, he jumps down on the opposite end of the shop, walking down until you point out to Kuai Liang that you see him.
"Tomas! What brings you here?" you ask gleefully, unaware of the sadness that plagues his heart.
"Nothing, dove. Just running some final errands before the wedding tomorrow."
He spends the rest of the day with you and his brother, the flowers and letter sitting idly on the rooftop- just like his feelings rest idly in his heart.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
+1 - Harumi
You brush Harumi's hair one more time before rolling the hood over her head. Through the mirror, you look at her and offer her words of encouragement.
"Oh Harumi, I'm so happy for you," you say with a wobbly voice, tears lining the bottom of your eyes as you squeeze her shoulder.
You friend of many years, your ride or die, your platonic soulmate, was getting married to the most honorable man in the planet- in the realm!
How could you not be happy for her?
Harumi can sense that something is amiss with you, especially since you've been so excited for this wedding.
"What plagues your mind, my friend?" she asks, turning away from the vanity to hold both your hands.
You shake your head, "Nothing is wrong, just so overcome with joy."
Yeah, no. Harumi isn't believing a word since your tone didn't match the words you spoke.
"Come now, you can tell me," Harumi coaxes you gently. You can't help but fall victim to her charm, and you sit next to her to tell her about the week leading up to today.
From Johnny and his research, Raiden and the Wu Shi visit, even the little meets with Kenshi and Kung Lao, and you can't forget the fact that Kuai Liang took you to a flower shop to get a corsage made for Tomas.
All of these little things, talking to your friends about how to properly ask Tomas out to be your date, Harumi hears everything about your dilemma.
"Well... why don't you hear him now?" Harumi asks. He waves the handmaiden over, telling her that she's ready for the men to come in.
Kuai Liang and Tomas walk inside, wearing the traditional attire of a Japanese groom and best man. While Harumi is practically drooling over Kuai Liang, you can't help but be breathless in front of the European.
"Hi..." Tomas waves awkwardly with one hand, his other hiding something behind his back.
You give him the same salutation, gripping the corsage against your yukata.
"We will be outside getting ready, but the procession can't start until our best man and maid of honor are ready," Harumi tells you both.
Harumi winks at you while Kuai Liang is giving his younger brother a knowing glance. Tomas just waves him out.
"You look... lovely," Tomas finally says, eyeing you up and down. "Your yukata is a flattering color."
He wasn't lying. Harumi went to great lengths finding you the perfect yukata in your favorite color. She even got the best tailor in the country to fit it well against your body.
"I uh, wanted to give you something-"
"Wait! I have something as well," Tomas interrupts. He pulls out the thing you had been seeing through the weekend, the vase with the wisterias and the baby's breath.
"Oh... Tomas they're beautiful," you barely whisper. "For me?"
He nods, pointing to the flowers as he explains, "Baby's breath symbolizes everlasting love, and wisterias represent grace."
He meets your eyes, and you can see a bit of red at the corners indicating his shyness.
"This is my graceful everlasting love to you, not only as a friend, but as a suitor, if you'll have me."
You take the flowers and set them down on the vanity, taking the note from his hand as well and replacing it with the thing Tomas had seen earlier in the week.
Tomas looks down, "The corsage? But I thought-."
You shake your head, "No you goof, it wasn't for anyone but you!"
You then begin to explain how you spoke to each man about your crush on Tomas, and how you were gathering ideas on a gift to pair with your declaration of love.
Kuai Liang's idea was the best, and he offered to go out with you to fulfill that. Silly Tomas.
You take the corsage and pin it to the hem of his yukata. The flowers you chose were a white peonies and dark purple violets.
"The peony represents beauty and the violets represent faithfulness. You are the faithful, beautiful, dutiful man who has captured my heart."
Tomas is wide-eyed, and you recover yourself before your shame can eat you alive.
"If you'll have me..." You don't need to ask twice before Tomas takes your hand in his, kissing the back of your hand as he nods to the door.
"Are you ready to accompany me, my consort?" Tomas asks.
You nod, "Gladly, my loving suitor."
I know that in your masterlist it is written that you write in MK1, but can you pls use MK11? I beg you, I beg you!😣🙏🙏🥺 I really like the way you write!<3<3<3 You will make me a happy person ! If you can't do it on MK11, I understand. I respect your choice. <3
I really want to go with daddy young Johnny! I want to get a sexual overdose 🥵 and embarrassment! ////// (Okay, stop asking! Sorry if it's too much)
ʚThe theme for the fanfic is this: F!Reader makes hints that she is not indifferent to him. He looks at him for a long time, makes dirty jokes, looks for an opportunity and a reason to touch him, but respects his personal space. And when they are alone, she is wildly embarrassed by him, although she is a pervert.ɞ
Thank you in advance! You are just lovely 🥰 I'll be looking forward to it.
reblogging is very much appreciated! ᕙ(‾̀◡‾́)ᕗ
/ᐠ。 。ᐟ\
Even after it was thoroughly explained to you, you couldn't get it through your head that there had been a weird 'glitch in the matrix' from some guy Raiden, making it so the younger version of your boss was now in your present timeline. Yeah, you found your present Johnny attractive but god was his younger self something else, his demeanor, his personality, you wondered how this Johnny turned out to be so mature.
Over time you got to know more about younger Johnny, he was always so friendly with the others you felt left out seeing him laugh it up with his older self. You wondered if you and Johnny could ever be like that together, he never sought out to have a friendship or showed any obvious interest in you. After a speech to yourself in the mirror, you decided to suck it up and walk up beside him as he sat on a chair with his legs wide open, lord the intrusive thoughts were really beginning to get to you.
As you sat down with a smile, you introduced yourself formally and finally started a small conversation about what younger Johnny thought about himself in the future. "I seriously can't believe I turned out so... Boring. It's like I lost all my 'Johnny'." He says looking over at himself, who is doing regular work and clicking away at a computer. You chuckled, suddenly everything Johnny said was so hilarious? Not thinking about what you were doing, your hand flew right above his knee. Too distracted with laughing away at Johnny's joke, his eyes almost immediately fell to your hand, he had gone silent as he felt blood rush to his already forming erection. Finally hearing the sudden silence, you stopped and cleared your throat, quickly removing your hand seeing Johnny's pupils were blown out gazing at you. Choosing to ignore something that had clearly happened, you and Johnny continued on with your conversation.
A couple hours had gone by since your super awkward and gut-wrenching encounter with Johnny, and you couldn't stop thinking about how he had quickly gotten up after cutting your conversation short to rush to the bathroom. Maybe he was just so turned off by your comfort around him that he didn't want to be near you, you had to stop overthinking about every little tiny detail. Turning away from the work you weren't doing, you turned to see if Johnny was still around. He was standing by the table with his arms crossed, analyzing a map, 'God his arms look so good' you thought, your eyes were definitely lingering in areas they shouldn't. You were getting lost in him as you wondered what his arms would look like wrapped around you, maybe in a hug, perhaps wrapped around your neck as he went at you from behind... You were caught off guard when you heard Johnny call out your name, not only sending shivers down your spine but making you worried he had caught you in your perverted thoughts.
"Would you mind helping me over here? I need a second opinion on this." You almost jumped out of your seat hearing he wanted your opinion. You walked over to Johnny trying to act as nonchalant as possible, your hand rested on the table as you leaned on it with him towering over you. "What's up? Have your eyes finally started to fail you?" You joked, as you said it you saw older Johnny glare at you, reminding you that he was still there. Younger Johnny smiled and chuckled, you were so close you could almost feel the bass in his chest when he laughed. "Hah, no I actually just needed your opinion on this plan I made, apparently Johnny over there doesn't know how to attack in style." He stepped back a little to give you room to look over his plan on the table, he kept a close distance as he observed your facial expressions and reactions to his ideas. As you took up the space where he was, you couldn't get rid of the overwhelming feeling of his eyes on you. Knowing he was behind you, you repositioned yourself with your hands holding you up on the table. You just so happened to accidentally rub up against Johnny's crotch, causing his breath to hitch and raising his body temperature in milliseconds. Of course, you had to take the opportunity to be this intimate with him so you kept your hips where they were for just a good amount of time before deciding it was time to realize your mistake by standing up straight.
Turning around acting completely oblivious to the fact that you just made him so incredibly hard, you smiled and said “Yep, looks good.”. His lips were ever so slightly parted as he felt the life flush out of him at how much control you had over him. In this moment Johnny knew exactly what he had in mind for you, he had gotten the hint immediately and was already planning in his head the rest of the day. Johny stayed next to his older self for the entire workday, using himself as a prop to stay near you. As the day went on and more and more people were beginning to clock out and go home, the more you eventually forgot about what happened. All you thought about was how long it was gonna take for you to finish up reviewing a couple more documents, the part you dreaded the most was going to check the inventory of weaponry for the future mission older Johnny was putting together. You assumed everyone had already headed home since it was so quiet and dark. Making your way to the large building where everything was kept you held your clipboard ready to just skim over everything, you couldn’t help but think about how younger Johnny made you feel earlier in the day, butterflies were fluttering around your stomach as you daydreamt.
Unbeknownst to you, Johnny was just on the other side of the door, sitting on a crate waiting for you, was it crazy that Johnny asked his older self for your entire routine? Possibly, but it was going to be worth it. He waited for you to open the door and be greeted with him sitting on a crate in a poorly lit cold room. Your heart sank, seeing Johnny after work hours was definitely different than seeing him around other people, other people to be more extroverted with.
"Oh! Johnny? What are you doing?" You had a look of genuine concern on your face, your brows were furrowed while his were relaxed, it's like he didn't see the total confusion and awkwardness in the situation. He stood from his carefree position and made his way to you. "You thought I wouldn't notice?" His voice sounded a bit more serious than normal, he sounded like his more mature self which got you a bit nervous. Your palms were moistening up the closer he approached. You took a half step back as he got closer.
He had a smirk plastered on his face. Your steps were soon stopped after you felt the back of your knees hit a crate, allowing Johnny to get close enough to feel your uneven breath on his cheek. "What?" You replied in a soft whisper, you were pressed up so close to him. You could feel his hands make their way to your waist, trapping you to him. Your face started feeling hot as you began to think back to your thoughts earlier in the day, thinking about this exact situation versus living it at the moment felt strange. "The way you look at me.." As you turned your face to the side to conceal your embarrassment, he inhaled sharply into your neck, basking in your scent that sent a bolt of arousal to his growing erection. He pressed his chest against yours and snaked his hand up to your face from your waist to cup your cheek, bringing your attention back to him. "Don't get all shy now, you wanted this, didn't you? I could tell..." Through your shame, you couldn't help but get wet hearing his words. You clenched your thighs together hoping he wouldn't notice how turned on you were from this.
To your dismay, Johnny did notice and smirked looking down at your eagerness, he couldn't help but tease you by using his knee to spread apart your legs, stopping you from getting any kind of relief. You whimpered quietly at the loss. Hearing you solicited him to capture your lips in his, his lips felt so soft against yours, it's as if they were made to be connected to yours. He slipped his tongue into your mouth searching for more sounds while his hand on your waist crept up under your shirt to cup your breast, occasionally teasing your nipple. You mewled weakly into his mouth while clenching your thighs around his knee, you pulled away from the kiss to tilt your head back in pure bliss from the stimulation. He grinned and pushed his knee further into your core letting you get off on it. You soon came on his thigh with a whiny moan, and your hand reached out to grasp his wrist.
"I know baby, I know.." He muttered quietly, he gently pulled your hand away from his wrist and hooked his fingers on the bottom hem of your shirt, slipping it off smoothly. His tongue swiped across his bottom lip as he observed your breasts carefully like he was trying to engrave the image into his memory. You felt a little self-conscious from his gaze, so you covered your chest with your hand. Seeing your facial expression turn a little uncomfortable, he took your hand and raised it to his lips, kissing it softly before bringing your face closer, and giving your lips the same treatment.
Your tongue slipped into his mouth once more, forgetting why you were even feeling self-conscious. As both your tongues danced together in sync, you could feel his hands slowly make their way to the button of your jeans, undoing it and pulling them down and off. He was getting so turned on by the sight of your panties that he couldn't resist but pull you closer by the hips to rub himself on you. A guttural groan squeezed out of his throat as he felt himself get harder through his pants which he was aching to get out of. By the time you were about to protest that you needed more pleasure, he had already pulled his boxers off along with his pants. He smirked at the way your eyebrows raised a bit looking at his pre-cum leaking cock.
You reached down and gave him a few pumps before lining him up with your entrance, you whimpered quietly as you rubbed his tip on your sensitive bundle of nerves, while collecting your wetness and putting him back at your entrance. Johnny kept you from falling back by putting his right hand on the small of your back, and slowly pulling himself into you. You clenched your jaw as he inched himself further in, the stretch his cock gave you was filled with pleasure and good pain, "Oh Fuck- You're so- Mmh." He struggled to continue, needing to stop and hold before he came too early. Your walls squeezed him in more, causing him to groan again, you could feel his cock twitch and throb in you which only made you squeeze him even more.
"I need you to- Mmh- To relax-." He used his left hand to rub your thigh attempting to soothe you a bit. You let out a satisfied sigh when you finally felt him roll his hips out at a slow pace, still adjusting. As he got used to your tightness, he went at a swift pace. The sounds of skin slapping and the crate bumping against the wall filled the room. Johnny couldn't hold back the quiet grunts that slipped from his mouth every time he thrust in you. You felt so at ease with him in you, that your head lolled back, allowing him to plant his lips on your neck and leave deep-tinted hickeys that would undoubtedly be questioned the next day. He got put in such a trance that he was starting to feel numb, his mind going into such a haze that he without warning, grabbed you by the hips and flipped you so you'd be bent over the crate.
"Fuck- Sorry-" he murmured before plunging back into your dripping hole. Although his roughness was a bit new to you, you weren't complaining. His hand found a place on your lower back again to hold you in place, his brutal pace was surely going to leave you sore. You felt yourself reaching your second orgasm while Johnny continued slamming into you over and over again, he felt you squeeze him tighter giving him the sense that you were close. He reached for your sensitive bundle of nerves and rubbed at a fast pace, matching his thrusts. The added stimulation was only making you scream-moan louder, you could feel tears threatening to fall from the corners of your eyes. Your moans were cut to a gasp as you came, He followed soon after as the rhythmic squeezes you were giving his cock made him moan and slightly whine. You felt the ropes of his cum painting your walls, and slowly start to drip out when he pulled out with a pleased sigh. He plunged his fingers into you once more making sure to not waste any of his seed, the unexpected feeling leaving you to whimper quietly. "Next time, don't tease me like that."
My first ever fanfic!
Criticism is appreciated
Raiden joins desperado AU
Raiden gripped the concrete as hard as he could. Shaking in pain as his blood spilled out of his chest. He reached for his weapon in a final attempt to endure it, but it was quickly kicked away.
“Are you finally done?”
Monsoon said while stepping closer, his metal feet against the concrete caused Raiden’s heart to beat faster, so fast that it was all he could hear.
“what can you even do now? Stand up. Show me a man.”
He felt Monsoon’s Sai hit his chin, not a light tapping but a slam.
Instead of giving up in that moment, Raiden forced himself to stand up. His vision was incredibly blurry, it was impossible to see Monsoon’s kick to the legs until he slammed his head on the concrete. The last thing he heard was the ringing, a loud ringing that faded into a beating, almost like a heartbeat.
Most of Raiden’s memories had completely faded like sand in the wind. But the heartbeat brought something back... something sweet, and comforting. The heartbeat no longer sounded like his own, but his mother’s.
It brought back memories of his mom rubbing his forehead back when he was very young, it was soothing… Raiden had completely forgotten about his failed battle until the ringing came back. When the ringing came back the feeling of a hand on his forehead didn’t go away, in fact, the hand felt warmer and larger than a mother’s hand. Quickly Raiden shot his eye open and saw his enemy, Jetstream Sam, rubbing his forehead. Raiden started to struggle against it but he couldn’t move, making Sam laugh.
“Nice try pretty boy”
he finally took his hand off his head
“those EMP shots we gave you won't fade for HOURS”
“WHERE AM I?”
Raiden couldn’t hide the panic in his voice, that tough cyborg façade was about to be washed away, which Sam found amusing because he laughed again.
“you’re at desperado! Do you really think we’d let a valuable asset like you die on the dirty floor? You’re trash, but-”
“shut up Sam. I’m not here for small talk obviously…”
“well, you’re here for a reason pretty boy...”
“are you going to tell me?”
“am I?”
Sam was toying with him, clear as day. Raiden scowled and decided it was best not to entertain a clown, so he just shut his mouth. Disappointingly Sam wouldn’t mimic this action.
“Have you seen your new parts yet?”
Raiden looked down, he did have new parts, red and black with the Desperado logo on his right thigh.
“what the (f word) is this?”
“your new look pretty boy”
“stop calling me that”
“you don’t like it? The logo I mean.”
The armor was beyond beauty. There wasn’t a word strong enough to describe how pretty it was. Maybe it was just the look of fresh armor, or perhaps it was the scarlet accents. It wasn’t that big ugly logo that’s for sure.
“no”
“ah you’re lying pr- “
Raiden quickly cut him off before he could spit out that nickname.
“what happened? Why is your logo on My leg?
“Well, I was getting there if you'd stopped being so catty.”
Raiden finally shut up and started waiting for Sam’s explanation. Sam put his hand to his chin and gave Raiden one of his snarky smiles. Suddenly being dead on the concrete sounded better than this. Sam was taking way too long to speak at this point, so a headache started to form in Raiden’s forehead. Raiden pushed his head back on his pillow and groaned.
“well since you want to know so bad…”
Sam chuckled again
“you put up quite a fight, we couldn’t let a pretty thing like you go to waste. So instead of shooting you dead then and there, we dragged you into the building and took you to the med bay.”
Sam put his hand on Raiden’s new logo.
“they gave you some new parts, monsoon tore yours up pretty bad. We decided that desperado could use someone like you…”
Raiden opened his eye, Sam's eyelids were hung a little. Not in a tired way, but in a relaxed way, it was unnerving.
“so. I'll give you 2 options… you either join Desperado, as one of our cyborgs, or we use you for scrap metal. It's up to you pretty boy”
Sam's hand was still on the Desperado logo. Sam finally took his hand off and then put it back on Raiden’s forehead, which seemed to soothe his headache a bit. This choice wasn’t hard at all, ANYONE with a moral backbone would rather die before joining a company like DESPERADO! Maybe even people without a moral backbone. Raiden was about to say his answer, but the sliding doors opened before his mouth could. He couldn’t tell who walked in by footsteps alone, they were more clicky than sundowners, but too snippy to be monsoon, and not squeaky enough to be Khamsin’s, which meant it had to be…
“Ola Mistral, come to visit Raidey?”
Raiden felt his body tense up at that awful nickname, his stomach even churned every time it echoed in his ears. Sam could tell it was making Raiden sick, so he slid a metal bucket over beside the bed with his foot.
“visit?” mistrals voice was smooth like a cup of Assam tea. But to Raiden, it sounded as smooth as the noise the bucket made on the floor. “I wouldn't say visit. I'm here to see if he weighed his options”
“He was just on that.”
“Sundowner wants an answer by tonight, any later and we’ll scrap him.”
“We can wait a bit, he already acts like scrap metal.”
“Very funny Sam, but its Sundowner’s word is what we follow. And don’t run from the heard unless you want to be mutton”
Sam was quiet for a bit, in the desperado hierarchy, Sam was at the bottom, he was new to desperado and it showed.
“talk to him, Sam. I want the word by tonight. Monsoons on call today if you need him.”
“yes, ma’am. I'm on it, ma’am”
Mistral’s heels clicked on the metal floors as she walked out of the room. It wasn’t until the sliding doors closed that Sam started talking.
“Please Raiden, just join”
“and why should I? you bunch are just a bunch of moralless terrorists. I’d rather d- “
“No, you wouldn’t. come on Raiden, just join, it's better than what's coming if you don’t”
“why would I listen to you”
Raiden attempted to spit at Sam’s face to keep him away, but Sam just put his hand over his mouth.
“I’m not taking no anymore. You're joining. Welcome to Desperado Raiden.”
Raiden felt an indescribable emotion. Anger? Sadness? Something entirely different? Whatever it was it made him throw up. Sam helped him do it in the bucket while holding his hair back too. Raiden didn’t take this as a kind gesture, after being forced to join an organization a bundle of flowers would feel like a bullet to the brain.
I'm sorry Raiden.’
Sam put his hand on an IV bag full of something blue, turning up the dial a bit. Raiden felt his head getting light and airy, and he started to wobble, before he knew it, he was out cold.
When Raiden finally opened his eyes it was dark out, the room would be pitch black if not for the medical equipment’s glow. He heard what sounded like porcelain cups clicking on each other, and heels on the ground. He noticed that one of the lights in the room was moving, it was a faint red glow. he didn’t put much thought into it, realizing that the EMP shots had finally worn off and he could move now was much more interesting. Raiden sat up and was suddenly making “eye” contact with Monsoon. The man who put him in this situation. Neither of them said anything, it was just an awkward silence for a minute or so before Monsoon set his tray down.
“You're up early.”
Raiden didn’t respond.
“I brought you some green tea”
Raiden still didn’t respond. Anything coming out of his mouth would be out of irrational anger now. He could feel his arms shaking in anger at this point. All he wanted to do was dump that hot tea on Monsoon’s face and smash the cups on his teeth.
“calm down Jack.”
Raiden stayed quiet, being called Jack wasn’t helping him calm down. He raised his arm to grab a cup but his headache had gotten worse, and it had spread to the rest of his mind by now. Monsoon picked up a cup and moved to the side of his bed, putting the cup to Raiden’s lips and making him drink it.
“don’t spit it out. It’ll help that headache of yours.”
Raiden kept it in his mouth without swallowing, the chance of a Desperado member poisoning him had gotten lower, but not low enough for him to swallow.
Monsoon set the cup down and got off the bed. He walked to the other side of the room to grab supplies from a cabinet.
“I knew your secret, Jack.”
Monsoon saying that suddenly made him swallow, he choked a bit but got over it fast. Whatever secret it was didn’t matter. If Monsoon knows it's over for him.
“you couldn’t ‘show me a man’ because you're not one.”
Hc for Raiden with reader who’s kung Laos sister and they have a secret relationship?
Tumblr media
Despite being Kung Lao's sister, Raiden had become romantically attracted to her until he was a young adult. He knew her when they were little but never really grew close to her
It wasn't until much later that Raiden began to feel attracted to her. It when he saw her properly dresses in something light and breezy with her hair down and flowing that he stopped dead in his tracks
Raiden's eyes lit up with her shine and his jaw dropped, he felt he gazing right at the sun and he suddenly feels very shy around her
Kung Lao is a protective older brother and constantly chases off any suitors who try to earn her fancy, however, he never did with Raiden because he never suspected Raiden to try anything
Well, unfortunately for Kung Lao, Raiden was smitten and badly at that. His eyes lingered in her direct and he felt himself warm under the collar when she spoke
He does not act on his feelings but is also very awkward at hiding them. His words stumble over each other, tumbling into a gargled mess while his cheeks flare pink
She would laugh so softly at this and Raiden would feel his entire face being embraced in flames but he didn't mind because her laugh was so pretty to listen to
Kung Lao's sister starts making an appearance in the cabbage fields more frequently, stopping by to give her brother and Raiden water but it soon becomes an excuse to see Raiden more without drawing suspicions from her protective brother
It's not that Kung Lao doesn't want his sister to find love, he is just hellbent on being the one to approve of them and he doesn't approve of anyone that tries to seduce his sister. He often beats them blue and purple to get them to stay away
She doesn't want conflict between Raiden and her brother so she decides to keep her interests in Raiden away from her fierce older
It is she who makes the first move. Raiden was walking her home one night and as he walked her to the door she turned to kiss him, leaving Raiden shocked and blushing
She tells him that he's a good kisser even though he was too stunned to reciprocate her gesture and Raiden just about trips over his words when responding
The interaction is cut short when Kung Lao opens the door and his sister plays it off well with Raiden standing there awestruck and babbling. Kung Lao teases him about having a fever and behind his back she would wink at Raiden knowingly
A secret affair starts after that with Raiden having to hide his feelings and relationship when around Kung Lao who remains completely unaware that his best friend and sister are a couple
There isn't much time for dates, not with so many prying eyes so most of the time spent together is after dark when everyone is asleep. It started with her sneaking out and showing up outside Raiden's window and now it is a nightly event
Raiden and her spend the entire night together, talking dancing and just enjoying each other. It is a very sweet and tender romance between the two of them and they love every single minute of it
Yes, they do not wish to constantly sneak around but they also don't want Kung Lao keeping them apart so they continue to have their moments within the shadows of night
In the day there are many stolen glances and "accidental" ghostly caresses while they long to see each other under a veil of stars. Will they be found out? Will Kung Lao discover his best friend is dating his sister? Only time will tell...
MK12 young Scorpion x young Quan Chi’s daughter S/O SFW/NSFW! Young Scorpion might try to kill young S/O after learning the truth about Quan Chi, forcing Older Him to stop him every time. Younger S/O, who was so scared, feels guilt-ridden after learning, offers her life as penance, which makes older versions of Hanzo and S/O intervene more and drag them away. Both young versions awkwardly spend time, though S/O still is kind, sweet, and helps young Scorpion in battle.
A/N: Now, this is neat! However, given what I have written, I won't strictly follow those events and the timeline. Also, I won't do the life in penance for the Past version of Y/N given what I have written, but I hope what I have written is just as good.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(I do not own the last gif)
It was already greatly unprecedented, to say the least, when Time itself was disrupted resulting in the revival of the Cyber Lin Kuei. Yet, that didn't mean you expected to find your past self wandering around the Fire Gardens!
She was, understandably, frightened when she was suddenly surrounded by Shirai Ryu ninjas, demanding she's impersonating their Grandmaster's wife. Fortunately, you arrived to defuse the situation before it could escalate, which only further bewildered your younger self. So, after assuring your clan that you will handle this, and tasking them with informing Hanzo when he returns, you escorted her back to your home
First, she expressed her excitement to see the Fire Gardens, remarking on the vibrant leaves that don't burn upon touch, very much unlike the Netherrealm's flora, which had only barren trees with tormented faces on them. Then, after getting her back on track, she explained to you that she just watched Kung Lao defeating her father and Shang Tsung. You reluctantly inquire if Quan-chi also accompanied her when she was transported to the Fire Gardens. It did not relieve you to hear that she didn't know.
Your younger self then inquires about where she is and if she heard the other ninjas right, that you're married to the Grandmaster. You reply that it's a long story and go to prepare some tea for both of you as you gesture for your other self to take a seat. You recall how Scorpion, or Hanzo, was set free of Quan-chi's magic and brought back to life thanks to Raiden; how you would often make trips to check up on him afterward; how you began to fall for Earthrealm and Hanzo; how much you've come to love your new home.
Your past self was taken aback by all the new information but also filled with a yearning for something she had no words for. She then asked the question you dreaded coming from her lips.
"Where is father in your future?"
Fortunately, before you could stutter out an answer, that's when Hanzo slid open the doors. Your husband is momentarily frozen in place at the sight of the two of you but quickly recovers when you throw your arms around him. Your past self watches you fretting over Hanzo's injuries and how lovingly your husband acts with you. The new yearning in her heart that you planted grew with each second she watched you interact until it started to twist and strangle her heart. You were just so... happy.
Yet, that happiness ends when addressing the elephant in the room, Quan-chi. You were the one to break it to your past self that Quan-chi is dead. Your past self is, understandably, saddened at the news. Yet, Hanzo tries to redirect her sorrow by telling her that Quan-chi tried to have you murdered and that you renounced him. Before revealing that he's the one that killed her father. You reprimanded Hanzo for his bluntness, but he justified that Quan-chi, a monster that practically took everything from him, including you, didn’t deserve anyone’s pity.
You stopped your husband from speaking since what you just told your past self was already enough to flip her worldview upside down. It was visibly obvious that your past self was reeling from the news of her father's betrayal and death. She was already trying to process how she didn't feel that disheartened at the news of her master's death and then feeling bad for that. But then to know her own father thought of her as disposable, despite her being faithful for so many years.
Your past self is then thrown in greater emotional disarray when later learning from Scorpion himself that Quan-chi is the reason for his clan and family's deaths. Now, the wraith she has begun to think of as a friend wants her and her future self dead. Scorpion is also disgusted with his future self for replacing their clan with pretenders and their wife with her killer's spawn.
Before either you or Scorpion could intervene, your past self steps forward from behind you to make her apology. Your past self knows that Scorpion has the right to be furious after everything he's been through since he told her about his clan and family in the first place. She sincerely apologizes for not knowing what miseries Quan-chi has caused him and acknowledges that her father is a monster.
Yet, caught up in his rage, Scorpion heeded none of her words, with the last straw being your past self bringing up the new Shirai Ryu flourishing like the Fire Gardens. Scorpion proclaimed You and your younger self to be deceitful demons, then lashes out at her. Hanzo is the first to react, using his respective kunai and chains to grapple your past self out of the way.
But she didn't dodge it unscathed as Scorpion's kunai left a deep cut in her bicep, which then instantly manifested on the same spot, accompanied by a burst of pain. However, the new scar on you appeared to have long since healed.
Your husband's expression became panicked at the implications of your new scar. You assured Hanzo that a cut wouldn't kill you and that you had bigger problems at hand. You fight Scorpion, tasking Hanzo with keeping your past self alive. As Hanzo goes to provide first aid to your past counterpart, you approach Scorpion.
"You have always struggled to let go of your rage, but it can be done." With one hand holding his iconic kunai, the wraith before you move into a fighting stance, muscles tense and ready to spring at a moment's notice. On the contrary, you stood poised but no less ready, with practiced fingers flexed above your shamisen's strings. "Enough of your lies, Devilspawn! I know you used your sorcery to corrupt me in the future!" "So what, you rather believe a Titan that doesn't have your best interest in mind?" You retorted. Rather than reply, Scorpion then springs into action.
Despite having previously been spared with your past self, Scorpion wasn't prepared for how formidable a fighter you truly become. You had gotten stronger over the years, but even then, you held back your full strength to not kill the Wraith. You succeeded, leaving Scorpion on the ground, beaten and bruised but still alive.
You stood over the Spectre, not to finish him, but to offer a hand up. Scorpion is initially understandably skeptical, questioning why a demon would offer him mercy. You replied because this demon loves him, past and present. Scorpion hesitates to take your hand, but seeing your kind expression makes him finally take the offered hand.
Yet that kind expression is soon replaced with one Scorpion assumes he must’ve worn when learning of Harumi’s murder. Devastated wouldn’t begin to describe the emotional maelstrom raging within you after D’Vorah impaled your husband with her poisonous pincers. You ripped Hanzo out of D'Vorah's hold before sending her careening into a cliffside with a burst of energy from you. With the immediate threat out of the way, you attempt to use your magic to extract the poison from Hanzo's body, dismayed to find that his body has already absorbed too much of the Kytinn's potent poison.
Yet, as you held your dying husband in your arms, assuring him that you could save him, D'vorah took the opportunity to try and strike you again behind your back. Only for Scorpion to use his katana to slice off all of D'vorah's pincers. In retaliation, D'vorah tries to send a swarm of her children to devour Scorpion, who then burns them all with hellfire. D'vorah then tries to make her escape, only for your younger self to use her shamisen to bind the Kytinn with chains made of bone before opening a portal under her. D'Vorah could only hiss and scream as shadowy tendrils engulfed her before dragging her to the lower parts of the Netherrealm to be torn to shreds by monsters that make her a mere insect by comparison.
With the treacherous Kytinn taken care of, your younger self and Scorpion sit beside you, as Hanzo struggles to speak with his last few breaths. In your centuries of life, you never had anything to look forward to besides inevitable death so, You begged Hanzo to not leave, as he's the one who finally helped you live. The Shirai Ryu's Grandmaster to continue living then, for the sake of your new home. Hanzo then addresses Scorpion, affirming that the new Shirai Ryu are worthy before dying in your arms.
You let out a choked sob as tears freely stream down your face. You then shrieked into the Netherrealm's red skies loud enough to leave Kharon, whose a few dozen meters away in his hut, to pass out instantly. Scorpion would've gone deaf if it weren't for your younger self temporarily taking hers and his hearing away. The wraith didn't question it when she led him a few meters away from you when you transformed into your demonic form while still shrieking into the sky. As if you were a dragon, you breathed a torrent of fire into the shore before you, burning debris into ashes, turning the black sand into glass, and boiling the blood that lapped at the beach. All the while, you cry tears of lava from all four of your eyes.
After a few minutes of unleashing your grief, you finally calmed down enough to transform into your humanoid form. Your eyes were bloodshot, and your throat hoarse, but a determined fire still burned within your soul to carry out Hanzo's will and stop Kronika. You put on a strong face as you rallied the Shirai Ryu to fight beside Raiden's forces to protect Earthrealm and make it so Grandmaster Hasashi did not die in vain.
Later on, after setting sail to Kronika's keep on the Sea of Blood, your younger self would take Scorpion aside to speak to him. She begins to apologize again for everything, but the Wraith cuts her off. He acknowledges that he knows she is remorseful, as your raw grief showed him how much their future self meant to each other. Your younger self brings up what Scorpion claims is valid since You and Hanzo were so happy with each other just hours earlier, and no sorcery could truly replicate what those two had.
Scorpion lets out a heavy sigh as he admits to your younger self that she's nothing like Quan-chi. He states that she wasn't born guilty of Quan-chi's crimes, but it will take a long time for him to completely dissociate her from Quan-chi. She gives a look of understanding before reminding him that he'll always have a friend in her, perhaps more. She then stumbles over her words as she rushes to correct herself, saying she doesn't expect Scorpion to marry her soon. Which gets a light huff of amusement from Scorpion, which is barely audible.
During the battle for Kronika's Keep, her armies would have to contend with two rampaging demons, with Scorpion riding one of them into battle. During this, Scorpion goes out of his way to protect you and your past self, not wanting to see any of you seriously harmed. You made his life less of a living hell in his present and future, and he will NOT let Kronika, the Netherrealm, or ANYONE retake either of those again.
summary: kung lao doesn't know when he developed his crush on raiden
warnings: none :)
Tumblr media
Kung Lao wasn’t sure when he had developed a crush on Raiden. Perhaps it was when they had met as young kids in the cabbage fields. Kung Lao had been waiting on the side of the patch waiting for his father to finish up the work day and eating some sugar tomatoes that his mother had packed for him earlier. He had spotted a young boy his age running down the road excitedly when the young boy had suddenly tripped and tumbled down into the road face-first. Kung Lao stood up from his spot, unsure if the boy needed help or not. Whenever Kung Lao fell down, he usually got right back up with a smile on his face and a few bruises on his knees. However, the little boy instead sat up and started to sob quite loudly. Walking up with a determined look, Kung Lao marched up to the boy and sat down next to him.
“My ma says that when you fall down, you have to get back up.” Kung Lao held out the small plastic container holding the snack, and the little boy sniffled and slowly took one of the slices and nibbled on it.
“I’m Kung Lao.”
“My name is Raiden.” The little boy mumbled as he finished his tomato slice, some tear streaks still drying on his face. Kung Lao stood up and offered his hand to Raiden. The boy took his hand and also stood up, and Kung Lao dragged him over to the side of the field.
“Do you wanna be my friend?” Kung Lao asked. Raiden nodded, and that was the start of their friendship.
Maybe Kung Lao’s crush had developed in school. Kung Lao was a cocky teenager and had said some choice words to some older kids. And so, after school when he was supposed to meet up with Raiden to go to Madam Bo’s for training, the older kids had ambushed and dragged him to some unknown corner in the school. Kung Lao may have had some martial arts training, but against several other opponents, Kung Lao had no chance.
Two of the older boys were holding Kung Lao up by his arms as another pummeled into him. It had been a while since they had started beating him up, and Kung Lao’s body ached too much to fight back anymore. In fact, he was pretty sure one of his ribs was broken, his nose was definitely broken, and one of his eyes was so swollen he couldn’t see out of it anymore.
“You gonna apologize now, you fucking brat?” The bully in front of him lifted Kung Lao’s head up by his hair. Kung Lao gave him a cheeky smile and then spit in his face and watched with his non-swollen eye how the blood and spit slid down the bully’s cheek. The bully reared back his fist, ready to knock out one of Kung Lao’s teeth when the door to the room swung open. The two bullies let go of Kung Lao, and he fell face-first onto the floor, too tired to really catch himself with his hands. Faintly, he could hear some yelling and some undignified screams coming from the bullies, but Kung Lao couldn’t really care. Not when the pain in his body screamed at him. Not when he felt so tired. He probably had a concussion from how hard one of them had flung him into a desk earlier.
“Kung Lao?!”
He looked up to find Raiden’s blurry face and felt himself be moved to be cradled in the other boy’s arms. Kung Lao looked around and found Madam Bo reprimanding the three bullies, all of them bowing low on the ground and sporting some new bumps on their heads.
“Hey, hey, stay awake. We should get you to the hospital.” Raiden lifted Kung Lao up, and Kung Lao might’ve thought it would’ve looked like a scene from a movie. The male protagonist picks up the romantic love interest and carries them away into the sunset. Except that Raiden was just his friend and that Kung Lao needed to go to the hospital. Raiden had stayed with Kung Lao the entire time he was in the hospital that day.
Or maybe Kung Lao’s crush on Raiden began when they graduated from school and started working the fields together. Neither of them were bogged down by homework or cleaning duties, and so had much more time to banter with each other as they gathered and planted the different vegetables growing at the farm. At the farm, Kung Lao got to see Raiden in all his glory. Sometimes, Raiden would take off his shirt, and the sun would glow around him in a way that looked like he had just descended from heaven. Kung Lao usually couldn’t look at Raiden those days in fear of accidentally drooling at the sight. They also had much more time to spar, and it was hard to ignore the muscles that Raiden had gained as they both grew into adults.
Kung Lao wasn’t quite sure when he had grown this crush on Raiden, maybe it was just a culmination of every moment they had been together, but as Raiden jabbed at Kung Lao’s ribs with his elbow and Kung Lao just laughed and handed the bill over, he was suddenly overcome with the desire to kiss Raiden. He really wanted to kiss Raiden.
As the man finished paying the bill and handed the money to Madam Bo, they both stood up and walked out into the night, continuing their conversation from before. Before long, they reached Raiden’s place, and just before he could enter his home, Kung Lao grabbed onto Raiden’s hand.
“Kung Lao?”
In the dim moonlight, Raiden looked ethereal. The moonlight framed his face just right and lit his face perfectly. His eyebrows were raised in a questioning gaze, and his lips were slightly parted. Kung Lao’s heart pounded in his chest, and he hoped the dark of the night hid his blush. Instead of answering, Kung Lao reached up and tucked a piece of loose hair behind Raiden’s ear.
“I really like you.” Kung Lao blurted out, immediately regretting how rushed it was. He was Kung Lao, he was supposed to be cocky, arrogant, and suave. Not whatever that was.
Raiden was silent, and Kung Lao felt his heart drop to his stomach.
“I’m-I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have. Let’s just forget about this-” Kung Lao took a step back, but Raiden held steadfast onto his hand and pulled him closer.
“I like you too.” Raiden let his arms wrap around Kung Lao’s slender waist, and Kung Lao clung onto Raiden’s shoulders at the sudden shortening of distance.
“Really? I mean. Yeah, of course you do. Everyone likes me.” Kung Lao stammered out. Raiden just smiled and drew his head in closer until their lips were just a breath apart.
“May I kiss you?”
Kung Lao nodded, and Raiden closed the distance between them. Perhaps Kung Lao would never find out when he developed his crush on Raiden, but maybe it didn’t matter because Raiden liked Kung Lao back and that was all Kung Lao needed.
Fujin x Demon Reader
Warning: Slight angst? Vague background plot.
Also, you're wearing a kimono for plot purposes ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Night dawned over the desert where one of Special Forces' base resides at. Today's mission with them, along with the Storm Gods and Earthrealm's chosen one.
There's Kung Lao too. You tolerated the smug man as well as you could.
"Okay, Y/n, right here." Cassie stops in front of a door, opening it and presenting a spare bunker room.
You walk in and look around your temporary room. A sleeping bag was in the corner, and besides, it was a dusty mirror rested on a cabinet. You look to the right to see more junk, but that didn't interest you too much.
"I know it's not too exciting in here," the young soldier stepped to your side. "But at least you don't have to share a room with Liu or Lao." She smiles at you.
"I am very grateful for it. Thank you." You smile back at her, letting a normal hand rest on her shoulder for affirmation.
"The meeting starts in a bit. After that, would you want me to give you spare clothes? For, you know, in case that oversized robe of yours gets annoying." Cassie offers, gesturing to your kimono.
You were always aware of how large the kimono is compared to your being. At least how it was right now. However, you only went with the same excuse.
"No worries. As I said before, I wear it to honor my father. Heh, he was indeed tall."
"Suit yourself, miss." Cassie didn't push the subject. "But let's go, Raiden is going to go over today's progress and some future plans."
---Let's fast forward to during the meeting, Lord Raiden consulting with Special Forces instead of the Elder Gods---
Loitering in the background as everyone closes in and discusses the mission, and listening to Johnny rant about how his last film had a climax just like the mission, you felt some sort of pressure in your mind and body.
Of course, as anyone would, you attempt to push it down just for the moment. This one is familiarly different, though.
Sweat beads were forming on your s/c forehead, which you wiped, and you did notice your breathing becoming a bit harsher. But you didn't dare break during this meeting.
It was only after discussion was adjourned where you were relieved to let yourself slowly break. Letting out shaky breaths and placing a hand in your hair to mess it up subconsciously, an attempt to calm yourself.
In this realm, they'd call it a panic attack. You'd allow that because they wouldn't understand, really. But you knew what it is. You needed to go back to your room. Fast.
Watching everyone else be dismissed, you were about to begin your leave too, only to be stopped as you feel a hand softly caressing your shoulder.
Panicking slightly, you turned to see a comforting face. "I couldn't help but notice you seem troubled. Are you well, friend?"
Fujin. You're safe with him. All you had to do was play it off and quickly go back to your bunker.
"Fujin- Lord Fujin! Y-Yes, just a little fatigue." You avoided eye contact and anxiously rubbed the back of your neck.
The divine, warm-hearted man didn't buy it. "We are close friends, Y/n. Even if we weren't, a kind soul shouldn't look so distressed."
"Look, Fujin, I'm fine. W-We can speak more later, I really need to go to my room and- and rest for a bit." You walked off, not letting him speak once more.
Fujin watched you leave with concern on his face. He knew you to be a bit anxious and the awkward type, but you always meant well. He knew you well enough to know something suddenly was going on.
He looked back at Raiden, who was talking to Sonya and Johnny, before looking back at the doorway.
Rushing into the room and closing the door behind you, you were a hyperventilating mess. Almost tripping into the cabinet with the mirror on top, you dug into the large pockets of the kimono and pulled out a crystal and setting in aside.
Following that, you felt a wave of magic wash over you, relieving you of the pressure as well as your appearance.
Opening your eyes back up with an exhausted look, you see yourself in the dusty mirror. Seeing the red skinned creature that carried that tired look you dawned.
The red horns sticking out messy h/c hair along with a red-pointed tail that flicked upwards made you grimace at the reflection. A thing you learned to do while being accustomed to this realm.
"Y/n?" You hear Fujin's voice behind you clear as day. Were you too distracted to even hear the door open?
Normally, your face would turn pale, but that wasn't visible when you turned around and looked into the shocked glowing eyes of your trusted friend.
Fujin, at first, didn't think it was you. It took him a moment to notice the same kimono, only that it was perfectly fitting you now. He tilted his head up a little more to look at the horns.
"Y-Y/n? Is... this you?" He asked.
It was over. This is what you were always afraid of. Knowing there's no way of dodging the truth, despair and shame coerced over you.
"Fujin... I- You hate me now, don't you? I understand. You look down at your hooves, that resembled high heels pretty well. You grit your teeth harder, exposing the sharp fangs that came along your natural self.
"Oh... my dear... Is this why you're always anxious?" Fujin relaxed, seeing how distraught you were.
The soft tone isn't what you wanted to hear. You didn't want your hopes to falsely build up to be destroyed. You'd rather go back to hell than ever feel something like that again.
"Just- I'll leave when no one is looking. I know a god like you would find a foul creature like me repulsi-" Fujin cuts you off, shushing you with a hug.
"That's enough, Y/n. All this time, this is what burdens you?" Fujin asks.
Resting your chin on his silvered hair, you accepted the comfort, but you were so confused.
"Why? Why aren't you looking down on me like you should? Is this a trick?"
Fujin pulls back and looks up at you.
"As surprised as I was at first, you're still Y/n. Your appearance does not reflect the pure soul you have." Fujin reassures, then chuckles. "It actually explains a lot about you."
(Hint to that time the desert experienced an unimaginable heat scorch, whilst the a.c broke, but somehow you were just chilling + that time the monks tried to teach you how to use chopsticks, and you actually bit the end of them off along with the sushi roll.)
"But anyways, I know you wouldn't do any wrong with us. Your secret is safe with me." Fujin says, making your tail subtly swing to the side with joy.
The wind lord would make his way to the door, but before leaving-
"You may come out to the others whenever you feel ready, but I advised letting my brother find out right now." ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Woah, this was actually fun to write. (Btw I'm a HB/HH fan, so that checks out.)
guy who is normal about the endless cycle voice Hey have you guys heard of the endless cycle
also on ao3
“You're going to do what?!”
Liu Kang looked away like he was upset, as though his actions hurt him, as though a god could ever care for a mortal enough to see the harm in this.
“I am going to make Raiden a god,” he repeated, louder this time, but voice wavering more than it had before.
“Lord Liu Kang, with all due respect, that's insane,” Johnny said.
“Why Raiden?” Kung Lao stressed. “You already made him champion, now this?”
Liu Kang's shoulders raised, but he didn't answer. It made sense that he would have nothing to say, no rebuttal to speak of.
“It is fine, Kung Lao,” Raiden spoke for the first time since Liu Kang had shared his plans. “If this is my task, then it is one I accept.”
Liu Kang smiled at him, but his fist clenched at his side. “Thank you, Raiden. I do apologise for thrusting this upon you so suddenly, but I fear it is the only chance we have.”
“I understand.”
“How the hell would making Raiden a god help things?!” Kung Lao shouted. “If you couldn't fix this, how could he?” Raiden's hand came to his shoulder, but was quickly thrown off by Kung Lao's wild gestures, like a rider bucked off a bull. “It doesn't make any sense!”
“It sounds illogical, I'm aware, but I do assure you that it raises our chances significantly. How exactly it does that is for Raiden to share with you when he learns of the reason, if he so desires.
“For now, trust it is our only hope, and trust that I would not lead you astray.”
Kung Lao's face was still twisted in a snarl, but he shut his mouth with an audible click and didn't talk back, instead remaining silent with crossed arms. Whether he was upset on Raiden's behalf or out of jealousy was a mystery.
Liu Kang attempted to smile at him as well, but his eyes couldn't make it to Kung Lao's and he instead stared at his tensed jaw with furrowed eyebrows. Then he turned away, only offering the group a short, “Forgive me, I must return to the temple,” and Raiden a quick, “Come to me when you're ready and we can discuss this,” before he walked off.
***
As soon as he was away from prying eyes, Liu Kang fell against a pillar in the temple and sank to the floor.
“I kid you not, Liu Kang. Raiden's power makes you a fire god.”
“Of course it does.”
Liu Kang hit Kung Lao lightly.
He knew it was not fair to make Raiden a god, to force upon him the same fate that had befallen Liu Kang eons ago, but there was no other option.
“I am not sure that I am ready, Lord Raiden.”
“I will guide you when the time comes.”
It was his fault, truly, for making Raiden the way he had. For creating Raiden so closely in his own image. For repeating the prior Raiden's mistakes so closely. Lord Raiden had asked to be made mortal in Liu Kang's New Era, but it didn't have to be like this.
He didn't have to reflect Liu Kang's soul like a mirror.
“There is a reason Kronika turns you and Raiden against each other in every timeline. Together, you pose too great a threat to her vision.”
“Why? What is so powerful about me and Lord Raiden?”
Fujin was silent.
But what excuse was there for thrusting godhood upon a frightened young mortal? Had Liu Kang not already gone far enough when he'd forced the young Raiden to fight in the tournament? Had he not already crossed the line when he'd asked Madame Bo to train Raiden and Kung Lao? Had he not already done too much when he'd crafted the circumstances of Raiden's birth and life to allow him to be shaped into his reflection of the man Liu Kang was?
Had he not learned what a curse it is to be the Chosen One? What a curse it is to be a god?
“Your souls have always been intertwined.”
Is that why Liu Kang was forced to repeat the past? Is that why Liu Kang was faced with an opponent only he and Raiden's shared power could defeat? Is that why he was forced to repeat this cursed cycle? Is that why—
There was a knock on wood. Then a voice.
“Lord Liu Kang?”
Liu Kang straightened himself up, standing and wiping the tears from his eyes (He had not even noticed they had begun to fall) before he stepped into view.
“Greetings, Raiden,” he said, and Raiden bowed to him, ever respectful even after learning what Liu Kang planned for him. Liu Kang gestured to a bench by the central fire. “Come, sit. I have much to explain.”
***
“I apologise if it is difficult to understand,” Liu Kang finished.
“No, it is fine, Lord Liu Kang. It is just…” Raiden paused. Liu Kang tipped his head towards him as he awaited his next words. “I will trust in your decision, and I will do as I'm asked, but I must agree with Kung Lao. How will I turn the tide, even as a god, when you could not do it yourself?”
Liu Kang leaned forward, propping himself up with his forearms on his thighs. “I may have been unclear in my wording," he said. "I am not merely granting you godhood and sending you off alone; I am combining our souls. You will retain your own power, as well as all of mine.” He risked a glance at Raiden to see his wide eyes and raised shoulders.
“Combining our souls?”
Liu Kang took a deep breath before speaking. “In every timeline, the souls of Raidens and Liu Kangs are intertwined. Every Liu Kang is incomplete without a Raiden, and every Raiden without a Liu Kang.”
He conjured an image from the previous timeline out of sand, himself and Lord Raiden standing against each other on the rooftop, Shao Kahn behind them. “The previous Keeper of Time, Kronika, understood this connection, and she had designed history so we would turn against each other. Either we would fight on opposite sides of good and evil, or”—the image changed, now showing the moment of Liu Kang's death—”one of us would die.”
The image dissipated, falling as golden dust atop their thighs before vanishing entirely. “All of this in an attempt to achieve a golden balance between light and dark. With both of us on one side, completed, we shifted the scales too far, too powerful as a unit, so she ensured we would never remain on one side, never pose the threat to her balance that she so feared.
“But now I control the hourglass, and I can stop the events that led to our separation and conflict, and I can ensure we remain allies and not enemies, and, together, we can defeat whatever enemies stand in our way.”
He looked to Raiden once more.
“I apologise if this is a lot to process. I felt it was important that you understand the full picture before the merge rather than after. You would find out regardless, as the merge not only combines our souls but our minds and bodies as well, but it was best that you understand what you would be getting into before it happened.
“I am sorry that, despite all I've told you, I cannot give you a choice in this matter.”
“I am sorry, but I do not have a choice in this matter.”
Raiden was silent. They sat side by side for a moment, two, three, maybe several minutes, maybe hours, but they said nothing.
Then, finally, “I accept my task, Lord Liu Kang.”
And finally, “I accept my task, Lord Raiden.”
a nameless puppet who was made to be a perfect prototype, free from all blemishes and flaws. who had porcelain skin and silky violet hair that flowed down his back. a nameless puppet who cried when he carried raiden ei's gnosis, far too delicate for the rough path that awaited him under her lead. a nameless puppet who was cast aside, his creator, his mother, setting him free, to do what he wished in the vast lands of teyvat. but cast aside before he could even be given his name. a nameless puppet who woke up, dazed and confused as to why he was suddenly in a strange place. kabukimono who was taken in by katsuragi, and was taught their ways. who met niwa, the one consoled him, and told him he was just like the others, that his lack of a "heart" didn't make him any less of a member of their community. kabukimono who performed a sword dance with katsuragi, the very same man who took him in out of the kindness of his heart. the man who kabukimono considered his first friend. kabukimono who was struck with grief when the people of tatarasuna were dying due to an unknown cause. who took off at once to the shogun, to plead for assistance for the ill workers. kabukimono who returned to a place with no katsuragi, no niwa, and none of the rest. who was ordered by dottore to stop the out-of-control furnace. kabukimono who was unknowing that he was given a device that held niwa's heart. who was lied to and said that his friend had killed someone to give him the heart he so desired. who ran off in a flurry of anger and tears, leaving the land he once could've called home. kabukimono who met a young boy, ailed with sickness, but a boy he found himself relating to. a boy who was all alone, just like him. a boy who called him family. kabukimono whose only family died, killed by the illness that had already started to overtake him, leaving kabukimono in great despair. kabukimono who was hurt from all those betrayals, his mind now tainted with anger and resentment.
kunikuzushi who was found by pierro, taken in as one of the eleven harbingers and unlocked his divine power.
kunikuzushi who was experimented on, in hopes that he could become far greater than he ever was. who wanted to rid himself of the weak, pathetic being he used to be.
kunikuzushi who then took the name of scaramouche, the balladeer, the sixth of the fatui harbingers, all because he could take more pain.
scaramouche who let dottore continue with his cruel, brutal experiments, tortured beyond belief, all for the chance that he could become a god.
scaramouche who despised those weaker than him, those who were filled with disgusting imperfection. after all, no one could compare to him! designed with no room for any flaws, no space for those hideous tears he once shed, those tears that caused him to be discarded like a piece of trash floating along the sidewalk, the breeze carrying it away.
but what's this?
scaramouche who met you. a mere mortal. a filthy human. but once who managed to crack the walls around his "heart," walls that were broken and rebuilt over and over, each one stronger than the last. yet you still persisted. he could kick and scream all he wanted, but you were still there. you with that annoyingly sweet smile that made his stomach churn in ways he didn't know how.
scaramouche who longed to rid himself of you, for fear that you would betray him like all the others. so, he pushed you away, and ignored the stabbing at his chest when he turned away from you, once and for all.
scaramouche who rose to become a god! just what he wanted! ..right? so why? why was he now falling to the floor like a limp doll? the better question, how? was he not strong enough? not worthy enough? that couldn't be! that- that was not an option! he was the greatest creation to ever exist! so why? why was he sobbing into your shoulder, drenching your cotton top with salty tears?
scaramouche who was confused. why were you holding him so tightly, so warmly? so softly as if he had never hurt you at all? why were you looking at him with the same expression as he had left you with? why was your hand against his cheek so comforting, so electrifying, so... perfect. your eyes met his, eyes that showed nothing but love. love? for him? ...really? him?
FFXIVWrite2024 : Masterpost Prompt 12 : Quarry Title : Mini Adventure Summary : [Teen] Lokin leads a party in a quest to beat boredom.
[Read below, or over on AO3]
Under the night sky, filled with it's endless stars, a group of teens from Lutz village are on an adventure. Or something like. As they tread through the forest, idle chatter between them, armed with lanterns, they've no real goal in mind, save for killing their boredom.
"Summer nights are nearing their end. Pretty soon the air will cool, the leaves will fall, and the rains will great us heavily." Raiden, a young miqo'ra, shares his musings with the group.
"If you pull-out your poetry book, I'm outta here." His sister, Romi, rolls her eyes.
"Just coz you speak like an uneducated shit-pig!" He replies, his poise instantly dissolved.
"I'm too tired for this shit..." Nahlu, another miqo'ra, sighs as the sibling's continue to squabble.
"C'mon, where's your sense of adventure?" A miqo'te, Jhon'a, pipes-up, giving Nahlu a little nudge.
Before she can answer, a viera, Zevastian, jumps infront of her. "Probably already in bed!" He grins playfully, walking backwards so he can continue facing them for a few steps, before spinning around again. "How much further we goin' anyway? I didn't bring any camping gear." In fact, none of them did.
Lokinovu, leading the group, barely has time to ready his answer before another pair viera ears prick-up beside him. As he looks over to her, Lukita glares right back at him. "Relax! I wouldn't-, we're not-..." He takes a moment to clear his throat. "We'll turn back after we find something."
"Something?" Zevastian asks. He knew there was no objective set for this night's outing, but perhaps that's changed?
"Something cool!" Lokinovu's eyes suddenly burst with eager determination.
Upon hearing this declaration, the others' respond in a mix of sighs and groans, to the tunes of "this is going to be a long night", "fuck sake", and "he hasn't a clue".
Lukita quietly giggles at her friend. He really was an idiot. But as she realizes that camping probably is on the cards after all, her ears droop. She hates sleeping outdoors. It's always cold, even in the peak of summer, and right now is not the peak of summer.
Regardless of the mixed feelings surrounding the venture, spirits remain high overall, and the playful banter continues as our group of moonlit (and lantern lit) heroes trek on through the forest, until something catches Lokinovu's eye.
"Did you see that?" He stops suddenly, catching everyone off-guard and causing something of a pile-up behind him. "C'mon!" He sets-off in a hurry before anyone can even answer him.
The others follow, of course, wondering what he could've even seen all the way over there in this darkness. But as they catch-up with him, Lokinovu kneels to retrieve his prize.
"Check it out." He turns on his heels, presenting the party with a small, purple crystal.
"That's it?" Jhon'a raises a brow.
"Wonder if there're anymore round here." Raiden chimes in, already shining his light around the forest floor as he brushes leaf litter aside.
The others too get to investigating the nearby area, a treasure hunt now underway. And it's not long before another discovery is made!
"Guys, over here!" Lukita calls, kneeling beside something the others can't quite make-out.
As they gather, their collective light reveal more, tinier crystals in varying shades of purples and blues, as well a hole in what seems to be the side of either a very large rock, or a mountain. It's too dark to tell how tall, even with these lights. They could fan-out to see how wide it is, but their focus is on where the hole leads - and it certainly seems big enough to crawl through and find out!
Raiden, being the largest, leads under the logic that if things should start to get tight, he'll be the first to notice. And, should he get stuck, those behind him can pull out by his legs and tail. One by one they enter the tunnel, with lanterns tied to their belts, tails, or held in their mouths.
The crawl itself is uneventful, but there does seem to be a downward direction to it. Thankfully, it's not too steep, so going back up later shouldn't be a problem. A little further, and they begin to notice a familiar smell, like that which comes after heavy rainfall, or being by a lakeside perhaps...? No, it's more like sea water. The tunnel itself starts to feel cooler, and damp, as they continue onward.
After a while, they find themselves emerging to an underground cavern, relatively small, and with another, much wider tunnel on the far side's wall.
"Maybe it connects to the ocean?" Romi ponders, stepping down into ankle-high waters, her voice echoing.
"Mm, seems like." Raiden nods. "We should be careful to keep an eye on the water level. The tide should be on it's way in soon, if not already."
"Didn't I tell ya we'd find something cool!?" Lokinovu runs through the waters, a wide, toothy grin on his face, utterly proud of himself.
Zevastian is the first to kick-splash him, with Jhon'a and Romi following suit, starting a small water-fight between them.
Meanwhile, Raiden heads over to the second tunnel, seeing if there're any auditory or even visual clues as to how far they are from the ocean itself.
Nahlu notices Lukita quietly investigating a wall, and approaches her. "What d'ya find?".
"Some of the sparkles are brighter than others." She answers, referring to the reflective effect the water has on the wet cavern walls, before showing Nahlu another small purple crystal, like the ones they'd seem before.
In the instant that Nahlu announces the find to the group, they all go about inspecting the walls, gathering whatever treasures they can find and stuffing them into their pockets. Though they probably wouldn't be worth much, it was treasure nonetheless.
What an exciting adventure tonight turned out to be!
Regressor Lord Raiden Hcs pt 3
⛈️ I can’t believe I never spoke of this but I think Lord Raiden would really enjoy falling asleep to rain noises, especially Little Raiden
⛈️ It was Kitana who showed him them when he was small and she was babysitting him, and he was out like a light
⛈️ Raiden doesn’t have many regression items . . . Until his friends realize he doesn’t have many regression items
⛈️ Suddenly, he has a lot of things!! Some basic items, like some coloring books and crayons, but also some more harder to hide things, like those baby ring stacker things and some blocks!
⛈️ They’d get him those jumbo crayons too!! Cause they make him feel littler, also he has a habit of breaking normal crayons and it makes him really sad
⛈️ But the only problem is that they don’t tell him when they got him something, more times than not the object just appears on his bed
⛈️ . . . That does not mean the person who gave the gift is sneaky about it at all
⛈️ One time Jax literally put his name on the From card on a duck plushie
⛈️ ^ The plushie means the WORLD to Raiden . . . On his shelf, where it’ll stay safe
⛈️ Yeah he has a bit of a difficult time playing pretend and imagination, but toys like the ring stacks are fun for a bit!!
⛈️ He likes the blocks too, but one time Cassie knocked them over by accident and he keeps getting sad when he looks at them because his castle was destroyed once and he doesn’t wanna build another one now :(
⛈️ Speaking of Cassie, I think the Kombat Kids would think Little Raiden is very entertaining!!
⛈️ They’re used to big scary Lord Raiden, not a quiet Raiden that’s kicking the table leg because it’s funny
⛈️ They’re all candy bribers. Every single one of them.
⛈️ Lord Raiden would whine and complain about using pacis before trying them out
⛈️ He can't use that!! Hes a God! Protector of Earthrealm! What if someone sees? Or makes fun of him? Or his teeth get messed up? Did we forget the fact that he’s a God, not a mortal?
⛈️ But when he does, finally, use one, he's hooked
⛈️ He never sucked thumbs or used teether before, but likes having a soother anyways, they’re especially useful when he’s having a difficult time slipping or is having a difficult time in general
⛈️ His blankie is still his number one favorite object though, sorry Jax’s Duck
⛈️ ^ That duck also does not have a name, Fujin laughed when Raiden called it Duckie and Raiden refused to name it afterwards
⛈️ Another favorite activity Raiden has are those children activity books (whehter it’s a coloring book with activities, or those young children school help things)
⛈️ Most times he’s more of an age dreamer, so simple math or connect the dots are easier for him
⛈️ Plus if he does have any fuss, Fujin can easily help him solve the problem!!
⛈️ And Raiden still gets praised for figuring it out!! . . . Even though he didn’t do much work
<3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3
So sorry this ones shorter than most!!
Takes Two to Tease
Pairing: Ei x Miko
Tags: Possessive Behavior, Possessive Sex, Oral Sex, Cunnilingus, Vaginal Fingering, Festivals, Semi-Public Sex
Summary:
As Yae Miko sets out to revive the Irodori Festival, Ei arrives to observe her efforts. With so much to be done and many Inazumans involved, including Kujou Sara, the kitsune finds it hard to keep her hands off her. When jealousy flares up, the Raiden Shogun makes her presence known.
Read on Ao3
“Kirara, darling, that banner goes across that stall over there - wait! Not so rough! You’ll tear it!” A frantic Yae Miko chastised as the young nekomata attempted to do as she had been asked.
“Lady Guuji! I’m trying, really! I’m only one youkai, er…person!”
“I understand that, little one, but we need to get moving! The festival starts at sundown…ah! Chiori! Don’t you dare walk away from me! Come help Kirara, would you please?”
The owner of the Yae Publishing House pinched the bridge of her nose, a headache starting to bloom in her temples. After many years of being a relic of a bygone era, she had decided to revive the Irodori Festival. An international cultural convention, she believed it would be a wonderful way to bring the people of Inazuma back together and entice those of other nations to celebrate a very significant pastime - light novels. The publishing house’s works had begun to sell like hot taiyaki, and an event like this was sure to create even more wealth for the island nation.
The small plaza in front of the International Trade Association, now dubbed "The Five Kasen Plaza,” hosted a plethora of booths that sold not only light novels, but also showcased traditional Inazuman treats, crafts, and storytellers. This being the first year after the abolition of the Sakoku Decree, everything needed to go off without a hitch. Unfortunately, Miko’s “little helpers” were struggling to keep up with her demands.
“Raiden Shogun have mercy on us,” she huffed under her breath.
“You called?” The familiar warmth of Ei’s voice tickled the back of her neck.
“Archons! Ei! Don’t sneak up on me like that.” Still, she couldn’t help but smile at the beautiful sound of her laughter. It had been 500 years since she last heard it, and she now cherished it more than ever.
“How are things going?”
“Oh, they are…going. Nothing the great and powerful Guuji of the Grand Narukami Shrine can’t handle, I assure you,” she stated confidently.
“I see. So…no help needed from me?”
The kitsune shrugged. “Why make the Shogun do the work when I have plenty of volunteers? Ah, look! Here comes one now.” Kujou Sara approached them, her arms occupied with booth decorations.
“Guuji Yae! I need your opinion on which of these you believe would best represent the glory of Inazuma.”
“Yes, yes, let’s sit somewhere a bit more comfortable, hmm? My feet are simply aching. Until tonight, Ei,” she dismissed with a wave of her hand.
The Shogun pretended to peruse one of the stalls as she watched them from afar out of the corner of her eye. The tengu had been a loyal follower, certainly. But the way she was leaning into Miko was making her skin crawl. Suddenly, a loud bang erupted -Yoimiya perfecting the fireworks for the opening performance, no doubt - and Sara looked up with concern.
“Excuse me, Ms. Tengu! We are running out of time. Pay attention,” Miko commanded as she tugged on the woman’s chin to grab her focus. Ei felt an electric charge of jealousy surge through her.
“U-um, excuse me…Almighty Shogun…if you please…the static will permanently damage the books…would you mind standing a little further away?” General Gorou stuttered.
“Ah, yes. I apologize.” She fished in her bag for a handful of mora and placed them on the table. “I believe this should cover any potentially ruined copies.” Snatching a single novel, she did her best to pretend to be engrossed in the pages as she strategically drifted closer to the kitsune and tengu.
“No, no, no! You’re doing it all wrong,” she heard Miko instruct. Her long, deft fingers were now directing Sara’s to work with the folding paper she had brought to create origami onikabuto, her digits lingering far too long for Ei’s comfort.
This was the last straw. The second the sky turned dark, she would have her revenge.
The Raiden Shogun watched as Guuji Yae gave the opening speech to a truly impressive crowd. She couldn’t argue with the fact the woman knew how to put on a show. While she was proud she had produced an event that revived a rich part of Inazuman history, jealousy continued to gnaw at her insides.
Thankfully, Kujou Sara was now manning a booth with Kokomi. People she had never seen before wearing clothing from distant lands flocked to peruse the latest releases from Yae Publishing House as well as smaller independent writers. When she finally caught up with Miko, she recognized the woman she was talking to immediately. Ei approached and butted into the conversation as smoothly as she could.
“Captain Beidou. What brings you to Inazuma? How is young Kazuha doing these days?” She could almost see the kitsune’s fur bristle at the interruption.
“Raiden Shogun! Man, it’s been a while. Glad to see things have calmed down here. Not nearly as much lightning as last time,” she exclaimed with a wink. “Kazuha is doin’ just fine. He’s been a real asset to the crew. I’m just here as an envoy for Ning- I mean, the Lady Tianquan. She’d never admit it publicly, but she’s actually a huge fan of these light novel things. Just gonna bring a few back for her and let her know all is well between our nations.”
“I’m very happy to hear that. I hate to intrude, but I really must speak with Guuji Yae. I’ll be sure to send her back your way in just a moment.”
“No problem! Was just about to sample some of the local sake. Take all the time you need!”
With a polite nod, Ei gripped Miko’s arm with a force that made the woman wince.
“Ah! What’s the matter with you?” She hissed under her breath.
“I’d like to ask you the same thing,” the Shogun shot back as she subtly guided her between a pair of buildings just outside of the Outlander Affairs Agency.
“Don’t think I don’t know what you’re doing.”
The kitsune rolled her eyes. “And what, pray tell, am I doing? Putting on the best event Inazuma has ever seen? Well then, lock me up and throw me in the police detention center. I seem to remember you being fond of…seeing me in restraints.”
Ei slammed her hands against the wall beside the woman’s head, Miko’s back now flat against the structure. “If restraining you is what it takes to keep your hands off Kujou Sara, I’ll do whatever I need to.”
The Guuji felt her heart rate soar. “Is that what this is all about? My, my, Ei. You left me alone for 500 years. You think you get to decide who I tease? Get over yourself. I fear nothing. Not even an archon.”
The Shogun felt a tinge of pain in her chest. She knew she had no right to be upset over a little bit of harmless flirting. She knew, and yet…she didn’t care. She was hers for eternity. Hadn’t they settled on as much the first night they reunited?
“Miko…I know I’ve hurt you.” To this day, the gentle way Ei said her name made her knees weak.
“Hurt is an understatement,” she replied quietly, trying to maintain the higher ground. The sounds from the festival were the only thing ensuring they weren’t enveloped in a painful, awkward silence.
The Shogun moved her hand from the wall, her thumb softly tracing the other woman’s bottom lip. “I’m more than prepared to spend the next 500 years making you never forget you’re mine.”
“And why would I want to be yours?”
“Because we both know we can’t survive eternity without the other.”
“…Archons I hate it when you’re right,” she muttered before taking Ei’s face between her palms and capturing her mouth in a ferocious kiss. She felt the Shogun relax against her, her muscles no longer tense from the prior conversation. Their tongues danced against each other as Ei pushed her harder into the wall. Wedging her leg between Miko’s, she parted her thighs, preparing her for what was to come. In her excitement, the kitsune bit the other woman’s lip just a little too hard, her fangs drawing blood.
“Gah! Damnit, Miko! I thought we had established that everything was fine…”
“Come now, it was all in good fun,” she chuckled. Remembering her prior comment about restraints, Ei smiled wickedly before wiping her mouth on the back of her hand. She removed the ribbon from her braid and used it to tie the Guuji’s wrists together. Grabbing her by the chin, she made her look her in the eyes.
“Now behave this time.”
Miko’s cheeks flushed as adrenaline pumped through her. “Yes, dear.”
The Shogun nodded and then dropped to her knees. Shifting the kitsune’s skirt up, she kissed up her inner thigh and heard her whimper in response. Nibbling the tender skin, she continued to ascend.
“Fuck…Ei…get on with it…”
She carefully moved the crotch of her panties to the side before licking her arousal directly from the source. Reacting to the sensation, Miko flung her bound wrists around her head, pulling her in deeper. The Shogun plunged her tongue into her, her nose nudging the sensitive bud above.
The Guuji gasped quietly, trying not to attract the attention of a group of event attendees walking to the booths nearby.
“Archons…Ei…hurry…”
“What, are you worried you won’t get to come before someone finds us? Don’t worry, love, I’m the Shogun. What are they going to do?” She resumed her lapping, increasing the pressure of the flat of her tongue as she stroked her clit with it.
“Fuck…fuck…fuck…there!” She cried through clenched teeth, her hips swaying to ride out the feeling. Rising to her feet, Ei kissed her hard as she undid the knot around her wrists, freeing her. The taste of herself on her lover’s lips drove the Guuji mad with desire. Grabbing her girlfriend’s arms, she forced her to face the wall.
“Miko…what the hells are you doing?”
“My turn. Hands on the wall, dear.” She did so reluctantly, and the kitsune positioned herself behind her. “It’s one thing to catch the Shogun doing what she pleases to her familiar, but what would they think if they saw me fucking you?”
Before Ei could answer her, she felt the cool of the night air against the skin of her backside. Goodness, she moves fast, she thought. Miko yanked her panties down and lightly kicked her shin in a signal for her to widen her stance. “Bend over a little further for me, little one.” She usually reserved that term of endearment for those on the younger side, but Ei would never admit that it made her stomach flip.
“That’s my girl,” she purred as she carefully inserted her thumb in her ass. The Shogun felt her eyes roll to the back of her head.
“Ohhhhhhh Miko…”
“You always take me so well,” she responded as she inserted another pair of fingers into her dripping-wet pussy. “Don’t be shy. Make a little noise for me, love.” She tried to coax a louder groan from her by curling her fingers inside of her.
“Ah…we must…agh! Be careful…too many people…”
“Tsk. I suppose you’re right. I did invite that girl from The Steambird to cover the event. We don’t want to end up on the front page, now, do we? I’ll make it quick.”
Miko moved with expert precision, hitting every sweet spot she had come to know after many passionate nights they had shared after Ei’s return. The Shogun turned her head, her moans buried in the sleeve of her kimono.
“That’s right, dear. Come for me,” the kitsune commanded as her lover bounced with the thrusting of her fingers.
“Fuck…Mikoooooooo!” She gasped, choking on her cries of ecstasy. The two leaned against the wall next to each other, both breathing heavily and looking disheveled from the night’s revelry.
“Lady Yae! Mistress Publisher? Where are you?” The voice cut through the chatter of the townspeople not too far from where they stood.
Miko wiped her hands on the handkerchief she kept with her and sighed. “Apparently, duty calls. Would you mind escorting me for the rest of the evening?”
Ei straightened the skirt of her kimono before replying, “Depends. Going to pull more of that stunt you did with Sara earlier tonight?”
The kitsune smirked and mirrored her question. “Depends. Does it mean you’ll devour me like that again later?”
you knew raiden and kung lao since you were kids and you have been in love with raiden for a few years now, but you never had the chance to confess your feelings for him, you wanted to tell him, but you were afraid that he’d reject you.
once the day for the tournament arrived, liu lang opened a portal to outworld made from fire, you stood next to raiden and you looked over at him, he had an amazed expression on his face, his beautiful, charming face.
once liu kang walked through the portal, the earthrealm warriors walked through it as well . you walked down some stairs with the others, looking around and taking in the beauty of outworld.  on the other of the path side was a beautiful palace, there were stairs across the path as well with two young women standing on them, they were the princesses of outworld.
“oh my. are those-“ johnny cage spoke, recording the scenery with his phone. “empress sindel’s daughters’, yes.” liu kang replied.
“they do not disappoint.” johnny smirked, you rolled your eyes at his words. “we are earthrealm’s ambassadors, johnny, we’ll show them respect, not unwanted attention.” raiden remarked, showing his respect for the women.  as they reached the end of the path, princess mileena spoke to liu kang, “lord liu kang, welcome.” “thank you, princess mileena.” liu kang replied to her welcome.
“you remember my sister?” mileena inquired, turning slightly to the lady in blue, kitana. liu kang smiled and nodded. “of course, princess kitana.” he spoke. kitana bowed her head with her hands behind her back.
liu kang spoke again, “may I introduce johnny cage, kung lao, kenshi takahashi, and earthrealm’s champion…raiden.”
as raiden’s name was mentioned, raiden bowed his head in response to the princesses, his straw hat covering his face.
kitana smirked and spoke to raiden “I hope you’re prepared, raiden.” raiden looked at her with a smile on his face, a smile of…adoration? you noticed his smile and felt a tinge of sadness inside you. you spent most of your time looking at raiden in that moment that you didn’t notice kitana and mileena talking. the umgadi warrior, tanya, also known as the palace gaurd, reminded mileena, “princess, we should be on our way, empress sindel awaits.” mileena looked back at her and responded, “thank you, tanya. follow me, please.” she signaled for the earthrealmers’ to follow her.
raiden had won against two of the kombatants for the tournament, li mei and reiko. empress sindel said that the tournament would continue at first light, so both outworld and earthrealm’s warriors had a dinner outside the palace.
you were sitting next to raiden, and johnny cage was sitting by kitana, trying to win her over as usual.
you looked to your side and raiden was looking across the table towards kitana, with the same look and smile of adoration as before.
you felt your stomach turn a bit, and you held your hand against it, and raiden noticed this. “y/n? are you alright?” he asked with a tone of worry in his voice. “yeah, I’m alright, maybe just something i ate.” you lied through your teeth. “i’ll be right back.” you got up from your seat for a moment and left to go for a walk so you could get your mind off of things. raiden looked back and watched you leave, he felt like he did something wrong, but he just didn’t know what.
you walked down the mossy stone path surrounded by beautiful trees, still feeling your stomach turn. you suddenly heard footsteps behind you, you turned around immediately, only to see raiden behind you.
you were confused on why he followed you, so you obviously had to ask. “raiden? wha—why’d you follow me?” you asked as your eyebrows furrowed.
he looked at you worriedly “I just wanted to make sure you were alright. you just got up and walked away, I got worried.”
“raiden, I already told you I’m alri-“ without warning, you started to cough rapidly. and to his alarm, you started to cough blood as well as petals. you fell to your knees in pain as you continued coughing.
“y/n?!” raiden’s eyes widened as he witnessed you cough rapidly and fall to your knees. he knelt down quickly in front of you, placing his hands on your shoulders, completely concerned for your well-being.
you continued coughing as flower petals spilled from your lips, raiden grew more and more worried for you. “someone help!” he yelled out for someone at the table. his close friend, kung lao, heard and came running towards raiden’s voice, eyes widening in shock as he saw you knelt to the ground, coughing up flower petals and blood.
“y/n?! what happened?!” kung lao ran over to the both of you and knelt down as well. raiden spoke again, his voice shaky. “I—i don’t know, t—they just started coughing out blood and petals..!”
"get them to safety!" kung lao exclaimed towards raiden to take you, before he could hold you, you fell onto the floor, unconscious.
Mortal Kombat 11 x reader: Chapter 17 Checkmate (final)
On the balcony surrounding the keep, the revenant Kitana and Liu Kang observe them "They are unaware of our army's full strength" Said Kitana "We will unleash hell" Replied Liu Kang. At the doors of the Keep, Fujin readies the crown of Kronika. Raiden spots the revenants looking down on them "We must capture him, quickly" Said Raiden "Now, Fujin" Said Shang Tsung.
Fujin takes the crown in his hands and carefully places it on his head. He grimaces and cries out as he struggles to contain its power, but he regains his composure after a few moments. He summons the wind and blows down the gates of the keep, knocking them straight over. He falls to his knees from the exertion and quickly yanks the crowd off his head. Raiden kneels by his side and tries to help him up "I need but a moment. Lead the charge!" Fujin groans. Jax looks to Raiden "Go! I'll cover him"
Raiden summons his lightning powers and levitates into the air. Underneath him, the Special Forces and Shaolin monks charge into the keep, led by Jacqui, Nightwolf, Young Jax, and Shang Tsung. They charge across the bridge and straight into the Netherrealm army.
A soldier brings his gun to bear on an oni, but the demon throws his weapon aside and slashes him across the neck, tearing his throat out. Another soldier shoots the oni with his pistol and grapples it, while next to them another oni grabs a soldier by the head and bites into his neck. Next to them, another soldier is disemboweled by an oni wielding a mace and bashed aside.
An oni slashes at a monk, but the blow is parried and the monk punches him backward. A soldier slashes an oni in the back of its ankle. Another soldier stabs an oni in the side and shoots it in the head at point-blank range with his pistol, only to be suddenly picked up by an oni with wings and dragged into the air. The winged demon grapples him in a rear naked choke and then tears him in half. As his remains fall back to the ground, Nightwolf sidesteps a swipe from an oni and hits it in the back of its knee with his tomahawk. He finishes it with a swipe that takes its head off.
In the sky, Raiden charges up a lightning blast and lets loose with a barrage of strikes. At least fifty oni are caught in the blast and instantly killed. Raiden somersaults through the air and lands back on the ground, readying a pair of lightning blades. He slashes out at any oni that charges him, the blades outright disintegrating the oni they connect with.
Raiden takes down several oni in this fashion, stopping to look over at twenty-five more bearing down on him. He slams the blades into the ground, channeling lightning through the ground and frying the attacking oni around him. He looks up to the Keep's
balcony, spotting the revenant Liu Kang leaping into the air. He somersaults through the air and lands a few feet away from Raiden. They face each other down.
"Time after time, Kronika's schemes have pitted us against each other. That cycle must end, Liu Kang" Raiden pleads "You... will have to kill me" Liu Kang replies "I would rather save you" Raiden says when Liu Kang charges directly at Raiden... and suddenly, the bones in his right leg burst out of his body. Liu Kang crumples to the ground, writhing in pain and clutching his newly broken leg. Raiden looks down at him in shock "By the Elder Gods!" Raiden exclaims.
The scene cuts to the ship ferrying the Outworld troops. Sindel stands with one foot on Kitana's head, and Liu Kang clutches his right leg, writhing in pain. Shao Kahn lifts his warhammer into the air and swings downward directly at him...
...and back at Kronika's Keep, the left leg of revenant Liu Kang suddenly bends at an angle it naturally wouldn't, bleeding profusely "Shao Kahn... he's smashed my legs!" Liu Kang groans in pain "Shao Kahn?!" Raiden asked shocked.
A warhorn sounds from back at the beech, prompting Raiden to turn around. The scene cuts to the beech, and the final of Kharon's ships crashes ashore. A battalion of Outworld forces are already ashore, and they stand and wait while the boarding plank is lowered to the ground. Immediately afterward, a single object is thrown off it, rolling to a standstill directly in front of our view.
That object is the severed head of Kotal.
A moment later, Shao Kahn and Sindel stride down the boarding plank. Shao lifts his hands (and Warhammer) into the air, prompting the Outworlders to burst out in cheers. As they start chanting, Sindel and Shao pump their fists in the air and charge forward. Immediately their followers do the same, and the Outworld army plunges toward the Keep. At the gates of the Keep, Old Jax and Fujin look upon the army charging at them "There's the Sindel I remember" Said Jax "No rest for the weary. Hold on to me!" Said Fujin
Jax puts his arm around Fujin's shoulders, and Fujin supports him in the same way as he levitates them both into the air with his wind powers. They fly over a battalion of Special Forces soldiers, who ready their weapons against the Outworld army.
Fujin and Jax land just ahead of the Earthrealm forces fighting the Netherrealm army. Raiden walks up to them both "Fujin, the crown! I must wield it against Sindel and Shao Kahn!" He says then Fujin takes the crown in his hands "I will do it. Save your strength for Liu Kang" Fujin replied "No, brother. The crown is our burden to share" Raiden insists. Fujin looks down at the crown, considers these words for a moment, and hands the crown to Raiden, who smiles at him "Thank you.
Just then, a clap of thunder sounds out above them, and Raiden lands down on the ground next to them. Unlike the Raiden already present, this one is coursing with lightning. He angrily strides towards them "Your lies are revealed, sorcerer!" Raiden yells. Both Raidens stand eye to eye. Fujin looks at them both... and back in horror at the one he just handed the crown to "Shang Tsung?" He says realizing his mistake as "Raiden" smirks in amusement and reverts back to his true form "You should be more vigilant, Fujin. Now, bear witness, as the power to decide destiny becomes mine" Shang Tsung says.
He lifts the crown and places it on his head. The effects are astounding - a gigantic tornado of souls arises around him, pushing Raiden, Fujin, and Jax backward. When it disperses, the souls are pulled back into Shang's body... which has dramatically changed appearance. He is now clothed in ornate gold and white attire, much like Kronika's minions wear. But most striking of all, he looks thirty-five years younger, with dark flowing hair instead of grey, and his beard has completely disappeared.
Surrounded by the green glow of his soul power, he floats into the air, high above the heroes "This has always been your endgame, hasn't it? From the moment you were trapped in the void" Fujin said angrily "Kronika was wise to banish me" Shang Tsung replied as he held his hands up in the air in a grandiose pose "With this crown, I am her equal"
"Your evil will not triumph!" Fujin yells. Fujin envelops Raiden in a tornado of wind and he flies directly at Tsung. Shang doesn't even move as Raiden teleports behind him. As Raiden tries a knifing chop, Shang blocks it, then he blocks a reverse elbow and ducks under a roundhouse kick. He blocks another back elbow and leans backward to avoid a left hook. Raiden throws a spinning roundhouse kick, but Shang catches his leg and tosses him through the air. Raiden spins around but rights himself after a moment. He launches back at the sorcerer with a flying kick, but Shang deflects it once more and leans back to avoid a right book. He parries two more of Raiden's strikes, ducks another roundhouse kick, and grapples Raiden by his leg. He spins the Thunder God around multiple times before throwing him back down to the ground.
As Raiden falls, Shang summons two flaming skulls and shoots them down after him. Fujin jumps up and catches Raiden, but the skulls crash into them, causing them to fly backward and bowl over Old Jax on the ground. Shang Tsung laughs to himself at the destruction he has caused "All too easy"
Back on the ground, Nightwolf slams his tomahawk into the arm of an oni, following through with another slash on its shoulder. He chops it in the leg to knock it down, then chops another charging oni in the arm, following it by burying the tomahawk in its face. As it falls, Shang Tsung floats into his path "How does it feel? Knowing that you will be the last Nightwolf?" He taunted
"The Great Spirit will choose another. I may die, but the mantle will live on"
They fight. Despite his martial skill and all of the powers bestowed on him, Nightwolf cannot match the power of Shang Tsung. With Kronika's crown magnifying his magical prowess, he proves to be far stronger than anything the Native American has ever faced. It's not long before Nightwolf is beaten unconscious.
"Fool. The mantle dies with you"
Shang Tsung approaches his fallen form and readies his soul-stealing ability "His soul is not yours to take!" Fujin shouts. Shang Tsung stops the process as he spots Fujin and Raiden walking toward him "His soul - and yours - are mine" Shang Stung replies "You think us unprepared? Your treachery is expected, sorcerer" Raiden states "You are incapable of choosing the righteous path!" Fujin says.
"The path I choose ends with your souls sworn to my service. That future is now undeniable"
They fight. The combined strength of Raiden and Fujin would have, at one time, been too much for Shang Tsung to handle. But now, empowered as he is, not even the Earthrealm gods together can hope to match his power. Shang Tsung mercilessly unleashes the full force of Kronika's crown upon them. Despite their best efforts, Fujin and Raiden are overwhelmed and defeated by the sorcerer.
"Now, I choose your destiny"
With both Raiden and Fujin down before him, Shang readies himself and starts to drain their souls from them. Both Raiden and Fujin are powerless to prevent it, and soon their bodies start to shrivel as they writhe in pain. However, Shang does not completely drain them, and as a result, they are not left as lifeless husks, but barely alive and unconscious wrecks. Shang revels in the boost of power the souls of the gods provide him. Behind him, Shao Kahn, Sindel, and the Outworld army walk up, taking in the sight of the defeated Raiden and Fujin.
"Let's finish them," Shoa Kahn says smirking "With pleasure," Sindel says ready "No. Keep them alive. We can siphon their powers for eternity" Shang Tsung says convincing them "All the better" Shao Kahn says as he motions to them. Two Shokan pick up their unconscious forms and drag them off.
The scene cuts to the inside of the Keep. Kronika manipulates the sands, with Cetrion by her side. The revenants Kung Lao, Kitana, and Jade run into the room.
"What now, Kronika? Shang Tsung has breached our defenses" Asks Kitana "Victory is still at hand. We will put down Shang Tsung's defiance. But you will require more assistance" Kronika replies then she turns to Cetrion "Dearest Cetrion, you have served me admirably," She says as she holds out her hands, even though there is no warmth in the tone of her voice. Cetrion takes her hands regardless "Now there is one final service you must perform" Certion nods "Yes, Mother. I understand" She says then she raises her hands to the heavens and exerts in pain. Her form disintegrates into a glowing ball of multicolored light that flies into Kronika. The power that Cetrion wielded now flows out of Kronika.
Past (Name) looked up instantly hearing her future self's words "Never, she's our daughter" "Exactly and her being here proves that not everything is the same. We made a difference even if it was something small" (Name) said to her past self as she smiles "We...may not have changed a lot but even the smallest of things can make the biggest of changes. We tried so hard to protect and teach others to be kind to one another but along the way, we learn some things about ourselves"
Past (Name) looks up from the floor "Like what?" She asked causing her future self to smile softly as her "...We crave love. We crave acceptance. So much so we are willing to burn ourselves to keep others warm making us be classed as people pleaseres. We have so much love to give but are afraid of the possibility we'd be rejected, afraid we'd be hated for it, afraid that we aren't worthy to be loved. That's why before we even came to this world...we'd read reader inserts on the computer, on our phones, or on our tablets...to escape to a world where the characters we read about are already in love with us or are destined by the end of the story to love us"
Past (Name) takes in these words and tears up as she hugs her knees, feeling like how she did when she was 18 before coming to this world. Future (Name) has tears lining her eyes as she softly smiles "But that's not the case. We are worthy of love, we don't have to be afraid to show how much we love someone, and if they don't like it who cares? We have no reason to be ashamed of who we are" Past (Name) softly cries as tears fall from both of their eyes "We are perfect the way we are and nobody has the right to tell us otherwise"
Outside the room, an oni is knocked to the ground. Shang Tsung immediately drains its soul. Sindel blasts another off its feet with a banshee scream. Shao Kahn grabs another by the throat and snaps its neck, throwing it aside. The corridor behind them is littered with similarly butchered oni. The three of them walk up to the door leading to the Hourglass.
"The Hourglass awaits" Said Shang Tsung "Beyond that door... ultimate power" Said Shao Kahn "It will be our privilege to wield it," Said Sindel. Unseen by them, Shang smirks to himself "Please, allow me" Shang Tsung says as he lifts a hand toward the door. It immediately opens at his gesture. They walk into the room to face down Kronika and the revenants, who are now wearing the same gold-white battle outfits that Kronika's minions bear.
"Shang Tsung, pretender to my role" Kronika sneers as she turns to face them "Your strategy has been novel. But in the end, you will not prevail. Finish them!"
The revenants charge them, Jade facing off against Sindel, Kitana against Shao Kahn, and Kung Lao against Shang Tsung.
Kung Lao throws his bladed hat at Tsung, but the sorcerer slides under it. Lao jumps over his attempted sweep and rolls to his feet, catching the hat on its way back. He slashes at Shang's legs, but he hops over the swipe. Lao swings the hat down at him, but Shang kicks his wrist to knock it away, then follows with several sidekicks that force Kung Lao to block, losing ground as he does so. A high kick breaks through his defenses and tags him in the face, allowing Shang to follow with a roundhouse kick to the gut.
Both (Name)s pull themselves together and watch the fight unable to do anything. Calithea begins to wake up from the noise.
Jade and Sindel swing at each other with their staff and naginata, respectively, each one expertly parrying and avoiding every swing at each other. Finally, several strikes from Sindel cause Jade to lose her grip on her staff, and Sindel immediately sinks her naginata straight through Jade's stomach, running her through.
Shao Kahn swings his Warhammer around him, but Kitana avoids several of his swipes. She slashes him across the cheek with her bladed fan, but he counters another slash with a straight punch to her face. With Kitana stunned, Shao smashes her in the chest with his hammer, knocking her backward right into Sindel's naginata, impaling her right next to Jade. Sindel yanks her weapon free and both of the revenants fall over dead.
Behind them, Kung Lao snaps the neck of... Kung Lao... and then blasts Kronika with a burst of soul energy, knocking her backward. "Kung Lao" then swipes at his hat and reverts to Shang Tsung, grinning sadistically.
Past (Name) still looks to her future self "Still think there's good in him" "....we can't be right 100% of the time" Calithea sits up and is confused as to why she has 2 mamas at that moment then sees Sindel and smiles "NANA!" She calls out making Sindel and Shao Kahn look at her. Sindel smiles "My darling, are you alright?" She cooed as Shao Kahn took in Calithea's appearance seeing the strong resemblance between her and Mileena "I'm ok, Nana!" Calithea said smiling.
Kronika lands hard on the ground, clearly in pain and unable to rise. Shao Kahn and Sindel stride toward her "How easily you are felled, Kronika. Once your power's mine, I will rule eternity!" Shao Kahn boasted.
Behind them, Shang Tsung smirks one more time, then blasts Shao and Sindel in the back with twin bursts of flame, knocking them down. He strides in front of Kronika and faces them down "Killing Kronika is MY destiny" He says as Shao Kahn and Sindel struggle back to their feet, clearly angered.
"Yours is to serve me. My obedient subjects, projecting my influence throughout the realms" Shang Tsung says smugly "You're drunk on the crown's power, Shang Tsung. In your stupor, you forget your place" Shao Kahn mocks "He is a dog who betrays his masters. Come, let's put him down" Says Sindel. Shao Kahn readies his Warhammer and strides forward, Sindel on his heels.
They fight. Even with their combined strength, not even the power of Shao Kahn and Sindel can hope to match Shang Tsung. With the magic of the crown and that of the souls he has taken, the sorcerer is far beyond any threat that they have faced. Shang Tsung eagerly dishes out the beating of a lifetime on both Shao Kahn and Sindel, leaving them both a broken mess on the ground.
"My service to you is over" He states and just as he did to Raiden and Fujin earlier, Shang Tsung readies his powers and unleashes his magic on Shao Kahn and Sindel, draining them of their souls "Now yours to me begins" (Name) knows what's to come, having seen him do this before, and covers Calitheas eyes and ears with her arms as she hold her to her chest and her past self watches in horror.
Unlike the Earthrealm gods, however, Shang holds nothing back, fully draining his former employers of all of their souls. For a few moments, they both wail in agony, but after that, the two of them fall silent. As Shang laughs to himself, Shao Kahn and Sindel have the last of themselves drained, now nothing more than ravaged husks. Behind Tsung, Kronika floats through the air and addresses him "You have no one left to betray" He turns to face her "Concede, Kronika, while you have time. I'll let you live, to serve me in my New Era. Or would you prefer to be wiped from history?
"Sculpting the Sands of Time requires great power and skill. You may wear my crown, but you are NOT a Titan!"
They fight. The battle against Kronika proved to be far easier for Shang Tsung than it was for Liu Kang. With the power of her crown at his disposal and the strength he has gained from the souls he has consumed, Shang Tsung matches and exceeds the Titan of Time's ability at every turn. In spite of her best efforts, Kronika is eventually left bloodied and beaten.
"Destiny is mine"
He strides towards Kronika, who tries to desperately crawl away from him "You should have accepted my offer, Kronika. I would have allowed you to wield great influence. Surely service is better than death" At his words, Kronika defiantly turns to face him "I do not serve. I am a Titan" She snaps "You WERE, Kronika"
He raises his hands and starts to drain her soul. As her power flows into him, Kronika does not shrivel up like his other victims. Instead, she outright disintegrates into sand, and within a moment, nothingness. He turns to both the (Name)s and Calithea smirking. Future (Name) held her daughter close to her "Do not worry, my dear, I wouldn't dream of harming the little one. In the new era I will be the one you will devote yourself to as we raise her in my image" (Name) is horrified at his words "I will never choose you! Never in this or any timeline!" He chuckles "Of course you will my dear," He says with a twisted grin "Time and destiny are now mine to command. Every realm will bend to my will"
He faces the Hourglass and starts to manipulate the sands within with his magic. But behind him, a portal opens.
"Cease! Before you doom us all"
Shang Tsung turns around. Out of the portal walks the Fire God Liu Kang. He strides toward the sorcerer, who stops manipulating the sands in surprise.
(Name) smiles in relief "LIU!" She says, Her past self shocked at Liu Kang's appearance, while Calithea cheers "FIRE MAN!" He smiles at them "Liu Kang! I thought your duties required that you stay behind" Shang Tsung says "A lie - something you know well" Liu Kang replies directing his attention back to Shang Tsung. Shang Tsung turns away, and in a moment, understanding hits him.
"I see now. The Hourglass shows that only I could wield the crown against Kronika successfully" He turns back to him "You LET me win" Liu Kang smirks back in response "And to ensure victory, you sacrificed the lives of your friends.
(Name) looks at Shang Tsung in shock then slowly to Liu Kang "...What..." She whispers as her past self is just as shocked and turns to her future self "H-He wouldn't.." Shang Tsung returns the smirk, clearly amused "How deliciously cold-blooded" He said "They are not gone, Shang Tsung. They will live again, in my New Era"
"YOUR New Era? You underestimate my prowess, Chosen One. I have the crown. I have absorbed Kronika's power. You may have obtained godhood, but I am the Keeper of Time. You are no match for me" "Kronika said much the same, Shang Tsung" They begin to circle one another "You will share her fate. Now hand over the crown" He summons his fire, which surrounds his body "This is your only chance"
"My only chance? This is my triumph and your final moment! Your worthless existence is at its end!"
They fight. As was the case when they first clashed, the battle is truly epic, with neither Shang Tsung nor Liu Kang getting any clear advantage for the majority of it. For what seems like an age, the newly born Fire God and the most treacherous being of the Mortal Kombat universe fight with every power they have, but eventually... it is Liu Kang who prevails.
"Make no mistake, Shang Tsung... you have chosen this fate"
He turns to the Hourglass, summons some of its energy into his body, and shoots a torrent of fire at Shang Tsung, sending him sprawling across the chamber. Shang struggles to his knees and looks down at his hands... which he finds, to his horror, are turning into sand and disintegrating. He gasps in shock and terror as the sand travels to his arms, dissolving them as well. Liu Kang strides towards him.
"No more timelines will be twisted by your evil"
Shang falls backward, the sands affecting his legs as well. As his ankles dissolve into nothing, the sand travels to his sternum, then his shoulders. Liu Kang easily prises the crown off his head, and Shang Tsung only has one moment to look at his nemesis with one last expression of terror before the sand completely engulfs him. In a moment, he disintegrates into nothing.
Liu Kang walks to both (Name)s and unbinds them as well as Calithea "Liu...tell me he was lying..tell me you'd never.." (Name) says walking up to him with Calithea behind her as well as her past self. Liu Kang looked at her solemnly "I'm sorry, (Name), but it had to be done" He said as he turned to the Hourglass and looked down at the crown in his hands before looking back at them with regret "And I hope you can forgive me" Liu Kang places the crown on his head, and his eyes spark with electricity. He has no problems at all with its power. His flames summoned to his body, Liu Kang floats toward the Hourglass and begins to manipulate the sands within. The sand whipped around the room not too much like a sandstorm but more of a sandy breeze. (Name) looks around as her past self disappears into the sand "Liu!" She called out taking a step towards him.
"Mama?"
(Name) turns around to her daughter and her eyes widen in horror. Calithea looks at her hands as they begin turning to sand "MAMA?!" She cries out "No...NO!" (Name) yells and runs back to Calithea. She drops to her knees, not noticing her legs turning to sand, and pulls Calithea into her arms and cradles her head with her hand "Mama!" Calithea cries, tears rolling down her chubby cheeks, the fear in her eyes evident as she gripped her mother's clothes. (Name) is panicking "No! Gods please no!" She begs "LIU! STOP PLEASE! CALITHEAS DYING!" Her voice cracks from the pain she was feeling "I must restart the timeline. I am sorry" Was all he said. Sand travels up Calithea's body to her neck slowly as she wails "MAMA! MAMA I'M SCARED!" (Name) tried holding her closer "You're going to be ok. You're going to be ok" (Name) said over and over, bringing Calithea closer to herself, as memories of Calithea flash in her mind.
Her first words.
her first steps
Her first smile
Her first laugh
Her first time opening her eyes
Soon Calithea was covered by the sand still crying for (Name) "MAMA! MAM-!" Her wails were silenced as Calithea disintegrated into sand that blew away with the wind. (Name) stared at her arms in horror. Her arms trembling as she stares at them her mouth a gape, her throat feeling as though it was in a vice grip, her chest begins heaving rapidly as she tries to take in air to breathe her eyes pouring tears down her face as the sand crawls up her body to her sternum. Liu Kang hears as she gasps for air before a blood-curdling scream rips out from her throat, with the knowledge of his revenant's past he remembers the last time that scream was heard, the day she killed for the first time, and it breaks his heart but he doesn't stop. (Name) wails as she claws at her chest. no pain she had been through could compare no words could describe the pain she was going through. As the sand consumes her she cannot find the words to describe the pain Liu Kang has put her through. Her heartbreaking, blood-curdling, pain-filled screams echo through the darkness.
The scene fades into the scenic beauty of the Wu Shi Academy in Earthrealm. A group of monks practice a kata in the courtyard. In an enclosed workshop, a lone monk stands before a table, working on something. As the camera pans closer, we see he is gently dusting off a jade statue of a humanoid dragon. Behind him, a portal opens. The monk turns around to see the Fire God Liu Kang before him - notably not wearing Kronika's crown.
"Kung Lao," He says. The monk staggers back into the table in shock. It becomes clear that he is not the Kung Lao that we are familiar with "Where did you-- who-- who are you?" He questions "I am Lord Liu Kang, God of Thunder and Fire"
"God of--" Kung Lao immediately bows and clasps his hands together in the Shaolin salute. Liu Kang returns the gesture "Forgive my disrespect, my Lord!" Liu Kang holds up a hand and floats down to the ground "Enough, Kung Lao. You are humble. Not like the Kung Lao I knew" He replies confusing the monk "The Kung Lao you knew?" "A story for another time. I have chosen you as my champion, Kung Lao" He places his hand on Kung Lao's shoulder "We have work to do. You must be prepared. Trained" Kung Lao - or rather, the Great Kung Lao - looks confused at his words "Trained? For what?" Liu Kang says nothing... but gives a knowing smile.
The Scene changes to a bedroom. The bedroom was a cozy, decent size sitting between two windows that let in a refreshing breeze. The walls were painted white and the room was illuminated by the sun that shone through the windows. In the center of the room was a cozy double bed covered in a white comforter and black pillows. On one side of the bed, there were two bedside tables, one white and one black, each with a lamp atop them. The wall across from the bed was hung with several photos; a loving reminder of family and friends along with a tall full-body mirror and several posters of various games. Each corner of the room was filled with various items that brought personality and character to the space. In one corner there was a wall-mounted TV which was accented by a fluffy pink rug. In the other corner, there was a desk with a Playstation 4 laid out along with various games. On the desk was a vase with fake flowers in shades of pink. Light from the candles that were strategically placed throughout the room gave it a warm and comfortable atmosphere.
Laying on the bed was (Name). Her body splayed across the bed as she began to come too. She slowly raised herself off the bed with her eyes closed in pain. She held her head trying to gather her thoughts. When she opened her eyes she saw she was in her old bedroom. the one she hadn't seen for 6 years. Jumping to her feet she looks around shocked as she realises she's back home. She walks past her mirror and catches a glimpse of herself in it. She stops and slowly walks back to it to look herself over.
Staring back at her was someone she didn't recognize. She sees herself but younger. She looked like she was 20 again. no scars, no marks, no signs of aging, and her long hair back to being below her shoulder instead of being below her tailbone. She slowly touches her face to make sure she wasn't dreaming that she went from being 28 to 20 "What the..." She whispers. (Name) tries to remember the last thing she was doing.
"MAMA!"
(Name) gasps and stumbles back into the wall remembering what happened "Cali..." She says tearing up, the pain of losing her daughter as well as her love slamming into her like a freight train once again, She clutches her shirt above her heart breathing heavily "No...no, not my baby" She says as tears flood her eyes again and sob into her hands, her shoulders shaking with every movement. She shakingly wiped her eyes trying to fight the oncoming tears as she turned her eyes around the room trying to calm herself from the panic attack that was bound to come when she noticed something missing.
where were Bi-Han's clothes and Wrist guards?
Momentarily distracted she pushes off the wall gently and takes a step forward towards the wall the clothes and wrist guards were meant to be but the wall was bare "What the fuck? What the hell is going on?" She asks no one then she notices that her PlayStation 4 is still on and the TV is showing her the gaming screen for Mortal Kombat X. The last game she played before...
She had a pause in her thoughts when she noticed something. The last time she attempted to play there was a character on screen wearing a dark grey ninja suit that had no sleeves and cut off at her mid-thighs, she wore black handless gloves that started 2 inches below her shoulder, dark red/brown 2 inched knee high heeled boots, a red sash around her mid-section and a mask like Mileenas' except in red and black in a pattern where the red forms into triangles at the top and black ones at the bottom making them look like fangs, her hair was tied into a tight low braid.
She wasn't there anymore.
"That's...That's not right," She said as she picked up the controller, looking at her unscathed and uncalloused hands for a moment, and went through the characters quickly. She couldn't find the woman who looked like her "This doesn't..." Her eyes widen at the thought "No...no it's not possible" she says as she quickly dashed to her desk tearing through her games to find Mortal Kombat 9. She finds it and changes the disks in her Playstation 4 and quickly goes through story mode. To her shock, she's not in the game like she was last time. it's all changed back to the way it was before she went to the Mortal Kombat universe. (Name) becomes confused and irritated "I don't understand! This isn't right! I'm supposed to be right there! But I'm not it's like I didn't-" (Name) 's eyes widen as she remembers something.
"I must restart the timeline. I am sorry"
Liu Kang's last words ring in her mind as an ice-cold feeling washes over her "-Like I was never there" She whispers. Her grip loosens on her Controller allowing it to fall to the ground and clatter. Her hands shook lightly at the cold realization of what Liu Kang did and she clenched her eyes shut as she recalled everything she had done for their universe, all the friends she made, the people she loved everyone.
GoNe
She opened her eyes with a fire lit within them as she stood up straight and wiped her eyes before looking around the room and taking in all the Mortal Kombat memorabilia with a glare. She grits her teeth as she grabs a box from under her bed and marches towards the PlayStation. She tossed the Mortal Kombat Games into her box, carelessly, threw in the comics, chucked in the mask replicas and action figures, and ripped down the posters with anger. one she was done her room was empty of the things that once brought her joy now serving as a reminder of what she had lost.
The scene changes to the outside of a trading shop and then switches to the inside of the shop looking at the door. The door opened revealing (Name) stepping into the shop with the box of Mortal Kombat merchandise. The trade shop was a fantastical wonderland of rare games and vintage collectibles. From the outside, it had an inviting, if slightly worn, façade with painted windows displaying a variety of out-of-date gaming wares. Inside, the shelves were filled with memorabilia from some of the oldest and most beloved games from a variety of genres: from the classic Mortal Kombat, Resident Evil, and Spyro the Dragon, to the more recent Assassin's Creed franchise.
The walls were adorned with replica swords, guns, and other weaponry from some of the most popular games, making the shop appear as if it were the set of a medieval movie. Cosplayers often stopped by to pick up some of the rare finds the shop had, and the shop produced a steady stream of customers in costumes of their favorite characters.
In one corner of the shop was a large cabinet full of vintage arcade consoles. From Pac-Man and Donkey Kong to Galaga and Space Invaders - these were the original machines some grew up with, decades ago.
All in all, the shop acted as a hub of nostalgia, bringing back memories of days spent playing classic games, sharing snacks with friends, and simply spending time with the ones we love. Even if the prices weren't always the cheapest, it was still worth every penny to be able to experience these games and memorabilia all over again.
(Name) almost smiled at the memories of the times she'd come her over the years but quickly she the thought from her head and walked the the front desk (Name) walked into the trade shop and up to the worker behind the counter. She set down a box full of Mortal Kombat memorabilia.
The worker raised his eyebrows "Hey, (Name), Selling your stuff, huh?" he asked as (Name) smiled softly "Yeah. I don't want it anymore" She said as the worker examined the box of many items. He picked up a rare Liu Kang figure and held it up, looking it over "You know this stuff is worth a lot,' he said, looking at her over the box. (Name) nodded. "I know. That's why I'm here" She replied.
The worker set the Liu Kang figure down, (Name) silently glaring at it, and opened the register "How much do you want for it all?" He asks "Two thousand dollars" She replies knowing its value. The worker's eyes widened "That's a lot, but I guess if you don't want them..." He counted out the money and handed it to (Name) "Here you go"
(Name) smiled and put the money in her pocket "Thanks. I'm done with this stuff now" The worker nodded "No problem. But if you ever need any more memorabilia, I'll be happy to help you out" He said smiling. (Name) thanked him and left the shop. As she walked away, she thought back on the times she spent in their universe.
"I swear, on everything I have left, with every fiber of my being"
A single key chain hangs out of the box, a Mortal Kombat medallion, and as the door to the trade shop closes behind her the screen turns black.
"I will never have anything to do with Mortal Kombat again"
