‘Tis the season for Ugly Sweater competitions and I had a thought about the first years having a Ramshackle holiday party.
Sebek would seriously struggle with this. We know he takes pride in his appearance and strives to be well-groomed.
He also hates to lose.
The dilemma, the dilemma.
Ortho is doing his best to determine the parameters of such a subjective contest.
Ace is insulting Deuce who has a much uglier sweater than Ace does (Deuce and Epel finally got to use string lights on something). Jack’s sweater has a Christmas cactus. Grim is uninterested because there is no prize and he’s too busy scarfing down fruitcake.
Silver stops by Ramshackle looking for Sebek (because reasons) but accidentally wins because he is adorned with various sprigs of holly and bits of yarn and tinsel that the birds and squirrels have bestowed upon him on his way to Ramshackle. Or while he dozed under a tree somewhere. Or both.
Regardless, he beats Sebek at something with minimal effort (again!).

Team Tadpole: Modern AU Disney World Edition
A friend and I started riffing on what would happen if Team Tadpole went to Disney World.
Halsin 100% has a different ear headband for every day of the trip
Astarion tries to pretend he's too cool for everything, but is in fact loving it and gets a little emotional when they go for lunch at Be Our Guest
Minthara is just wondering how in the hell she was talked into this for the first half of the trip but betrays her growing enthusiasm by screaming gleefully on Tron.
Wyll gets blushy and nervous at all the princess meet-and-greets (Astarion does not let him live this down)
They go to Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and Lae'zel spends the entire time repeatedly riding Space Mountain because it's the one time it's 100% dark and as intense as Disney gets (she whines about going to Universal where they have "real rollercoasters")
Eating around the world: Gale, Halsin Drinking around the world: Astarion, Shadowheart, Karlach
Halsin laughs at all the dad jokes on the Jungle Cruise, Minthara seethes quietly, Astarion mumbles about whether he'd get banned from the park for jumping overboard
Karlach nearly gets the Mad Tea Party ride shut down for decontamination by spinning her teacup so hard the other occupants nearly lose their lunch
Minsc ties helium balloons to Boo until he floats. Otherwise he's carrying stuffies and huge amounts of food ("Gale, my foodie friend! Cheeseburger spring rolls; we must try these!")
Gale organizes the itinerary around dinner reservations (he's still a little sad everyone was like "HELL NO, GALE" when he floated the idea of doing the $425-per-person Chef's Table dinner at Victoria and Albert's)
"Which one would just run off and start causing chaos?" "Oh, Karlach. 100%. Well-meaning chaos, but chaos nonetheless."
Smuggler's Run positions: Pilot: Lae'zel, Shadowheart, Minthara (fistfight narrowly avoided by Jaheira splitting them into two groups) Gunner: Karlach, Wyll, Astarion Engineer: Gale, Halsin, Minsc
After the first 30 seconds of hearing the song on "Journey into Imagination" Astarion, Minthara and Lae'zel start discussing how they would like to kill Figment and settle on disembowelment (we will not discuss how "It's a Small World" goes)
Astarion and Shadowheart are Big Mad that the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique is for children only, because they are pretty pretty princesses. Karlach is sad for the same reason but manages to badger everyone (except Minthara) into getting pixie dusted, meaning they're all finding glitter on their clothing (and elsewhere) for weeks.
Halsin makes everyone take the train to Rafiki's Planet Watch just so he can pet the goats
Crying at "Happily Ever After" fireworks: Astarion, Karlach, Minsc Cuddling their crying partner: Halsin, Wyll, Gale Using the fireworks to ride the rides with no lineup: Lae'zel, Jaheira, Shadowheart, Minthara
Most likely to have watched every All Ears/Mammoth Club/Disney Food Blog guide: Gale, Lae'zel
Mostly likely do have done a reasonable amount of research and preparation: Wyll, Minthara, Jaheira, Shadowheart, Halsin
Least likely to have looked at anything that has the faintest whiff of planning prior to the trip, including the weather forecast: Astarion (therefore also most likely to have to spend $$$ for a spirit jersey because he didn't pack warm enough clothing.)
Most likely to figure out on the first day how to game Genie+ and makes it their life's work to get the most lightning lanes possible and the earliest Guardians of the Galaxy/Tron virtual queue boarding group: Lae'zel and Minthara
Halsin seriously suggests staying on a tent/RV campsite at Fort Wilderness; Astarion votes for concierge-level Grand Floridian
Person who always asks to squeeze in one more ride on Pirates of the Caribbean: Wyll Person who somehow always gets wettest on Pirates of the Caribbean: Gale or Astarion

Hey, here I have a wHoLe bunch of questions about Baxter, because I kin his design and description in your au and, actually, there isn't enough content with that boi :(
I already have a handful of headcannons about him, but curious about the original interpretation more (advance thanks✨)
1. Extrovert/introvert?
2. Phlegmatic/choleric/melancholic/ sanguine? In general, short-tempered or not?
3. Aspires to power/not?
4. In what field (chemistry, genetics, medicine) does he conduct experiments?
5. His opinion of Vox, Alastor, Emily and Michael?
6. How did he die?
7. Aaand... Will he redeem himself like Sir Pentious?
Thank you so much for loving his design in our AU✨✨✨
And sure, we will try to give you more information about him.
1. He is an introvert, Baxter prefer to spend his time alone doing science experiments in his underground lab rather than using his precious time doing some of the Hotel's activities.
2. I think around 50/50. He is not really a short-temper person but he is not patient enough to deal with Val's bullshit sometime (But honestly, except for Emily, not a lot of people can keep up with Val's bullshit) 3. Hmmmmmm, I think he would love to create chaos and destruction by using his science invention. He is a mad scientist after all. But I don't think the phase "hunger for power" would fit him. Seeing people misery can be fun but being powerful can draw a lot of attention, Baxter just don't enjoy that special treatment.
4. I think about chemistry, physics, modern tech and maybe some about genes.
5. Vox: Vox is his former "boss" but before that, they used to be business partner. Baxter create the tech while Vox sale it, things was smooth and easy for Baxter back then until one day, the deal shifted... He hate Vox but fate still find a way for him to make him work with the TV somehow.
Valentino: He is annoyed, so so freaking annoyed with all of his sex joke, gaslight and manipulated. Baxter despite the moth guy buy somehow that just make him the bartender's favorite toy.
Emily: Naive disney princess think she can fix everything with a song and playing therapy. He pity for someone like her end up in Hell and he also feel tired by her optimistic energy sometime. He isn't exactly hate her? But he know he not really fond of her either, Baxter didn't like people that he think is naive and stupid.
Michael: Stay away from him, as far as possible.
6. I haven't think of that yet. Maybe science experience went wrong? 7. Hmmmmmmmmm, we haven't decided yet since we haven't come up with the decision about should he even die.

Willow 2022 In Memoriam (for now)
Willow 2022 is no longer available for legal viewing in any format, anywhere. We hope it will be resurrected at some point, somehow, but TPTB at Disney have given us no concrete reason or timeline to expect its return. (Jon Kasdan, the show runner, has tweeted cryptic messages but is not in a position to make key decisions, nor to share details.)
First and foremost, I grieve for kids who now will not have the chance to stumble upon this wonderful show with a diverse/queer cast on a platform with the reach of Disney+. I can’t express in words how much I appreciated being able to watch this show with my enby 11-yo kid. Of course I also regret losing the opportunity to build the fandom over time with new viewers, as the Princess Bride did after a lackluster box-office opening in 1987, and I feel so angry on behalf of the creatives who poured their efforts and craft into this project. But I grieve even more the potentially life-saving representation that young people might have benefited from, and I fear for the chilling effect Disney’s decision might have on greenlighting queer/diverse projects aimed at younger audiences in the foreseeable future.
On a personal note: Actor Erin Kellyman has mentioned in interviews that playing the role of Jade Claymore helped her work on childhood issues, and I feel similarly about what watching the show has done for me. I was raised in central Kansas in the 1970s and 80s, a gender-non-normative “tomboy” lacking any mainstream queer representation. I don’t recall even learning the words “gay” and “lesbian” in the queer context until high school, and of course when I did, they were corrupted by ridicule and shame. Fortunately, I had a very strong sense of self and managed to survive and to thrive as a lesbian as soon as I went elsewhere for college.
I grew up as a fan of all the Lucasfilm franchises (including the original movie Willow, released in 1988). While I identified with both Leia and Han to a degree (and shipped them), something always felt off. There was something lacking in that magical Lucasfilm world. It was not just overt queer and diverse representation; it’s also the case, for example, that the entire original Star Wars trilogy does not pass the Bechdel-Wallace test. The original Indiana Jones trilogy barely does. (Criteria: there must be at least two named women who talk to each another about something besides a man.) Willow 1988 is the rare exception in early Lucasfilm that satisfies the Bechdel-Wallace test without our having to squint. As a fan of the original Willow, I found that Willow 2022 matched its spirit brilliantly and expanded its potential in such interesting directions.
I can’t begin to say how much it would have meant to me growing up to have had Willow 2022 within the Lucasfilm universe, for all these reasons. I really believe that a series like this would have changed the whole trajectory of my life - I am turning 50 soon - even when I count myself so very lucky to have had a supportive family and a strong sense of self. I am grateful that the first season of Willow 2022 exists at all, and it truly has propelled me to do a lot of important healing work around the childhood trauma of growing up queer at a time and place that was totally lacking in positive mainstream representation.
But it’s not enough: Willow 2022 should be made available for legal viewing in some form as soon as possible to keep saving lives and changing lives for the better.

Blue, music, champagne + fluff
You took a deep breath, trying to settle your nerves. It wasn't the undercover you were in this night, nor the horrendous case you and the team were working on. No, you were just someone who never dressed up this fancy. But tonight
Tonight.
You were in a deep, midnight blue gown that you were pretty sure cost more than your monthly rent. Not to mention the elegant necklace, earrings, and hair net, featuring real life pearls.
But that's the sort of gala these millionaires threw, and you had to fit the part. Even if you were uncomfortable as hell.
Two servers in white, button up shirts and black vests, opened the grand doors in front of you. Soft music filled the air, coming from the live orchestra playing in the pit beside the massive dance floor.
Feeling somehow like both a Disney princess at a grand ball and an imposter in borrowed clothes, you make your way carefully down the staircase. But you force yourself to ignore all the glitz and glamour, instead focusing on where the exits were, where the people were standing, and where the perp was, chatting with a group of other rich men.
Your eyes caught Muncy, a server stationed at the door leading to the outside gardens, and you forced yourself to not let your eyes linger. A sweep of your gaze to the right, and there's Velasco--well, Joseph Sawyer for tonight--talking up some random guests. This was a "Whites only" gala (much to Fin's anger, though he was in the van outside) and Velasco, with makeup on, can pass as White.
Benson and Stabler were talking with the couple that threw the gala, all looking equally extravagant.
Finally making it to the bottom of the stairs, you accepted the champagne a server offed you with a smile. Unlike the shitty, free champagne often at the parties you were used to, this was the best wine--the best drink--you ever tasted. It was a struggle to not down it in one gulp.
Out of the corner of your eye, you noticed Velasco making his way casually towards you. You ignore him, letting him get your attention by a soft, warm hand on your arm, turning you towards him.
"May I have this dance, miss?" he asked you in a soft whisper.
"You shall," you replied, handing your glass to a server and taking Velasco's hand. He leads you to the polished dance floor, then turns to face you, one hand holding yours and the other landing on your waist. Modest, but still in the area of groping for the men who may watch.
You dance for a bit, spinning around the floor together. In fact, you dance so long, you almost forget where you are, what you're doing. Your lost in Velasco's hold--as the music gets slower and he has you against his chest. His body was warm against yours, strong and safe.
You have always had a crush on Detective Velasco, and this wasn't helping those feelings.
Finally, as the cellos and piano grew louder, Velasco leaned until his lips were against your ear.
"Mrs. Greene said that our perp was stalking the victim for a month before she was assaulted," he muttered, lips barely moving.
The information ripped your mind back into place. Undercover. That's where you were.
"Is she credible?" you whisper back, wondering if he could hear you.
Velasco takes your hand and guides you through an elegant spin before pulling you close once more. How is he so good at this? And so comfortable?
"Well," he started, "she's three sheets to the wind, but that just means she gossips more."
You tilt your head back slightly to look him in the eye. Under the chandelier lighting, his eyes look like a bright hazel; you could stare at them forever. But your eyes unconsciously trail down his long, narrow nose to those lips that you've dreamed of, to that strong jaw. His usually scruffy facial hair has been trimmed, and there's a fragrant oil in his beard, making the hair shine slightly. You seem to remember yourself then, and dart your eyes back to his.
A silent question passes between you; is this enough to get him?
But the answer was there, too; no, keep digging.
So, you finished your dance, and Velasco bows low to you, like you're some sort of royalty, and brushes his lips over your knuckles. Then he's strolling away, slowly making his way closer to the perp and leaving you breathless.
#joe velasco x reader#my writing#oh fuck#it was supposed to be fluff#I did not make it fluff#I am sorry

Aaaaas an aside from Long Post about current WIP >.>
Because it's HAUNTING ME and I NEED to know what my fellow Quirk Pondering enthusiasts have to say?
Koda Koji our dear quiet Animal Whispering Disney Princess!
......it...it CANT just be me, right? That is FUCKIN CERTAIN? That his Quirk works on humans? It's that age old fallacy of "ooooh WE aren't Animals! WE are (insert Deity here)'s SPECIALIEST blorbos! Better and different! Completely somehow removed from the ecosystem!"
Like??? ...No?
If his Quirk works, as shown, on bird n bugs n mammals etc. Just ALL across the spectrum Fauna? Then? You buddy, are Fauna.
If it could work on Nedzu, it could work on Precent Mic. All Might. His neighbors and friends. It's? Probably? One of the leading reasons he DOESN'T talk. Especially if he can't turn it off? If his voice has a mutation that just make it... Nice To Listen Too ™. Persuasive. The sort of voice that sound like A Friend, someone you WANT to help and listen too.
It probably scared the shit out of him.
Kid thought he could only effect Mr. Tibbles and the birds. Then as he grew older, stronger, kept talking with his friends in nature? Maybe he got upset one day. Someone was being MEAN. Or Not Listening. Or he was in pain.
Something distressing. Something that would release those chemicals to REALLY set off the Quirk activation as he used it. And...? It effected HUMANS this time too. In a way that Did Not feel Heroic. Feel RIGHT or like something a good person would DO. Not how his parents raised him to behave.
It was scary.
Because Animals? They are his friends. Are helping him. It doesn't hurt them. But... but PEOPLE? That's messy and morally complexe and they AREN'T his friends. He doesn't understand them like he does animals. They don't talk clearly.
I CANT be the only one who thinks this, right?

Image ID: Two glitter texts, reading as "NIGHTMARE FACTORY – DEVLOG 0". End image ID.
Hi, I'm Garça Visconde Mirigis, and I'm VERY happy to announce that this post you're reading is the first devlog ever for my nightmare game, a 3D platformer parody of mascot horror genre! And yes, nightmare, not dream game, because making my actual dream game is way out of my current abilities at the moment!
Ever thought to yourself how different a horror game would be if our protagonist decided to help the monsters instead of... [reading a list off-screen] killing, imprisioning, sacrificing, exorcizing or even banning them to other dimensions? Because I have, for ungodly amounts of time, and after literally years I decided that the time to actually make this thing has come. Welcome to the NIGHTMARE FACTORY!
OKAY BUT WHAT IS THE SYNOPSIS?
As previously mentioned, NIGHTMARE FACTORY is a parody of mascot horror games, set in an abandoned toy factory that also used to host a theme park. You play as Vera Torres, a 57 year-old mechanic who used to work in there. One day, our dear Vera receives a call from an old coworker: The higher-ups are going to sell the factory and the theme park, but they need a good inspection, and no one is accepting the offer! Feeling a bit nostalgic and wanting to help her friend, Vera decided to help take a look inside...
... Only to discover the place is now filled with strange monsters whose leader has, somehow, decided that she's actually his mother?! But she only had one kid ever in her life...?
Yeah, Vera is CONFUSED, and it's now your duty as the player to help her figure out just what the heck is going on!
... AND WHAT THE HECK IS THE GAME ACTUALLY ABOUT?
The game is a lighthearted and pink look at mascot horror as a whole, featuring little references to other games and lots and lots of silly jokes. It is also a long love letter for the genre, because as much as I like poking fun at FNaF, it did change my life for the better and it will forever have a soft spot in my heart. I love the franchise despite it all, and making a whole game just to poke fun at it and other similar games feels stupid. No one can create a good parody if they don't love the thing they're parodying even a tiny little bit.
NIGHTMARE FACTORY is not an "aha look at how stupid this is" look at mascot horror. I want it to be as sincere as possible, and the end product needs to be honest and not ironic in the slightest in order for it to be a success.
HOWEEEVEEEER. Despite the silliness, NIGHTMARE FACTORY can and will feature grapphic imagery and disturbing content due to its nature as a horror title. Trigger and content warnings have not been currently set, but shall be added as development continues.
WHAT ARE THE ~ INSPIRATIONS ~ ?
HEHEHE. HAHAHHAA. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. MY FAVORITE PART!
The gameplay is inspired by the original Crash Bandicoot trilogy, Pac-Man World 1-2 and Rayman 2! These are my favorite platformers ever and I played them for hours as a kid, and since NIGHTMARE FACTORY is all about toys and childhood I figured it would be the perfect fit!
For themes and story, NIGHTMARE FACTORY is inspired by Five Nights at Freddy's, Bendy and the Ink Machine/Bendy and the Dark Revival, Tattletail, Poppy Playtime, Silent Hill 1-4, Welcome Home, My Friendly Neighborhood and the Lacey series on YouTube! Some of the themes include loss of childhood, the horrors of motherhood and girlhood, corporate corruption, trauma recovery, grief and rage.
For visuals, however? Alice: Madness Returns, Hello Kitty Roller Rescue, Strawberry Shortcake: The Sweet Dreams Game, Disney Princess' Enchanted Journey and old dress-up flash games are my references!
THE SETTING
The game is set in 2020s São Paulo, Brazil, AKA where I live, and it can and will feature elements of brazilian culture. The final version should have both english and brazilian-portuguese translations, with cultural notes being featured to help non-brazilians understand some jokes and themes better.
CURRENT SITUATION
NIGHTMARE FACTORY is currently sitting at "the single gamedev is desperate to start programming but he's busy with uni work" stage of production, but do not worry, the single gamedev is also working on the story, how level progression shall go, how the game should feel to play, and, of course, planning the mechanics, AKA the most important part of a fun game. I'll make an entire devlog detailing every single main mechanic as soon as I'm able to finally start fully working on this!
NIGHTMARE FACTORY is being made with Godot, Blender and Krita, and it will be released first for PC.
NOW A LOOK AT HOW THE SINGLE GAMEDEV IS ALREADY ANXIOUS ABOUT MAKING THE GAME
It wouldn't be a project I made without me losing my mind about it from day 0!
Nightmare Factory is a 3D platformer game, with around ~30 levels planned, divided into 5 acts/chapters/arcs/sessions. You can think as these sets of levels as Crash Bandicoot's Warped level selection, like this!
After answering some asks relating to mascot horror as a genre, I remembered a conversation I had with my amazing partner some weeks ago about how I want to release NIGHTMARE FACTORY. YES, I didn't even start programming it, but this is the type of thing I need to settle on before I build a good chunk of the game. It will be important!
But then. There's the problem: I don't like it when games are "released" but you have to pay more to get all of them. Yeah, each chapter would be super cheap so they would have a full game price when combined, but also. Do I want to do this. Do I genuinely want to do this. Like? Am I sure this is the right way to do it?????
Image ID: Screenshot of Crash Warped for the PS1, with Crash standing in front of a warp room with 5 blue buttons on the floor, each marked with a number from 1 to 5. The 6th button has the face of Tiny Tiger, signaling it to be the entrance to a boss fight level. End image id.
My first plan was to release each act separately so I could both get feedback and also have more fun, because by getting feedback I would be way less worried about messing things up + I could update things like character physics to be less wonky or more stiff in case it was a common complaint, which could change the entire level design. And also because I'm a clown and I want to make a mascot horror parody, and releasing it in chapters aligns perfectly with how I want this to go.
Anyways, this has now lead to me deciding that the game should be a "pay for it once" type of thing. I'll still release it in chapters, but the updates will be for free. Will I regret this decision because liking it or not I need money + I am an indie dev + there's nothing wrong with game devs expecting to be, y'know, PAID for their work? Absolutely so!!!!! But I think that, for now, this will be how I develop this silly game.
Anyways, this is getting long enough, so I'll finish it for now. Character introductions will be made after the gameplay-focused devlog, so see you guys soon enough! Byeeee <3

I woke up this morning at around 5 AM, which is early but not shocking because I went to bed last night at about 7:30 because I decided I couldn't really take the world anymore yesterday. It's an easy retreat to just go to sleep but it never quite works out like I wanted because I wasted a day and eventually you have to wake up unless you're a Disney Princess. Though I guess they wake up at some point as well and then they are usually expected to marry whatever dude woke them up so it's not the sweet deal it sounds like at first. Anyway, I woke up early and laid there in the dark and got to watch my brain work myself into a pretty terrible mood as I just think about things without doing anything, somehow making everything worse in the process. It's really sort of astounding. This is a long way to talk about Anya Taylor Joy and Furiosa and I read something about how it wasn't that great of a time to her because she was very lonely in the role and I get it I guess. You hear sometimes about how stressful or trying certain parts are for actors and I think a lot of people eye roll it but if you are really doing your job I think it can be impossible not to feel the emotions you are conveying because you have to manifest them for your acting to feel anything but false. So I get the eye rolls but as someone who lives inside my own head and can just absolutely destroy a day by going over and over past conversations from months ago trying to unlock a puzzle that doesn't exist… I get it I guess? I am saying it seems like a thing that could fuck you up. I am sure there are chicken an egg type arguments here about who is drawn to acting and the desire to be front and center in everyone's attention but I am not interested in that today, I am just interested in how our own brains can take nothing and make it either good or bad. I don't have a conclusion I guess other than all that aside, Anya Taylor Joy continues to look great in the onslaught of press coverage she is getting right now so I am posting her. Today I want to fuck Anya Taylor Joy.

Heyyy ik you’re working on something rn, but if you still want to do requests I’d request something fluffy with Jerome… like cuddling or being touchy or whatever. I’m a hoe for fluffy soft stuff, personally :)
Hey hun <3
Thank u sm for your request.
And sorry I’m so late with this 🥲
I literally have 27 story drafts for the Cam character stuff and 3 stories I started to write, and somehow I’m working on all of them from time to time but somehow I need so fuckin‘ long to finish 'em.
But requests are something to distract myself from those if I’m having kind of a writers block on them so here we fuckin‘ go, baby!
————————————
Fluffy Jerome would include:
• him being touchy. Literally all the time.
I’m sorry, but I can’t see this guy ever letting go of you, honey, nah ah.
He is always touching you, in whatever way. It doesn’t have to be holding hands all the time, even tho he loves that. How your small and soft hand fits in his large and rough ones so perfectly - It’s just chef’s kiss honestly.
When you two watch TV and sit on the couch together, cuddled up in a warm and cozy blanket, that’s big enough for the two of you, you mostly lean against him. First with just your shoulder and then with your head.
He doesn’t say anything, not wanting to interrupt the comfortable silence while watching some nostalgic disney movie,
but he nearly always puts an arm around your shoulder, laying his hand onto the top of your head, pulling you closer in the motion. Then he just softly caresses your hair with his thumb while smiling to himself when you cuddle yourself up into his side even more. It’s just so cute tbh.
He also can’t stop smiling when you two are literally anywhere and you intertwine your pinky fingers. It’s just so fuckin‘ cute to him. Like a lost puppy. And he does that sometimes too. Jerome holding physical contact>>>>
• yeah, as I already mentioned, I’m hardly convinced he loves watching Disney movies
And I believe that his inner child is obsessed with the Disney princesses. Those movies are his favorite.
When you watch those, he always criticizes if the prince, or whoever “saves“ the princess, does something stupid while trying to save her. He then explains to you, how he would save you in such a situation, which would obv be a way sm better than theirs, because u are his princess and his plan to save you would be bulletproof.
Even tho it’s a joke, he makes up those plans kinda seriously, because he wouldn’t ever risk losing you. Ever.
He‘d also appear randomly and sing Disney songs. I’m fuckin serious darling.
You’re in the kitchen, making pancakes?
Not without musical accompaniment, babe.
The kitchen door swings open and your bf storms in, blasting ‚Be our guest‘ from Beauty and the Beast on full volume while dancing gracefully around the kitchen, acting like Lumière and knowing literally every. single. word and phrase.
He should’ve gone to broadway instead of becoming a serial killer.
First, you always break out in laughter, obv. But then you join in. How couldn’t u, really?
Couple goals, if u ask me.
• okay here comes another thing I literally ALWAYS imagine happening when yourein a relationship with him.
Like, you obv think he’s pretty. Super incredibly pretty. And most of the time he isn’t really insecure about anything but he has his moments where he feels like not being enough for you. Which obv isn’t true.
You then always take a moment to really tell him how much he means to you.
You also have these random moments where you just realize over and over again how much you love him. Like, obv you know that, but I think we all know these moments where we look at a person we know and suddenly this wave of admiration washes over us? This can’t be only me guys.
Like imagine you two preparing dinner or something and you take a quick glance at him slicing tomatoes but you’re not able to take your eyes off of him.
Eventually he notices and looks back at you questioningly but amused.
„ Yn, you good? Do I have something on my face?“
You shake your head. Then you take a step forward and put a hand on his cheek, tracing his scars with your thumb.
„ What is it then?“
You follow your thumb with your eyes, admiring every single inch of his face.
„Nothing…“, you say, still not looking him in the eyes.
„You’re just so pretty.“
GIRL WHEN I TELL YOU HIS HEART MELTS?
IT‘S DRIPPING ON THE FLOOR.
He loves these moments just as much as you do. Sometimes he still can’t get his head around the fact that somebody, and then even such a cute, loving and beautiful person like you, really genuinely loves him so much.
Sometimes he even shed a tear but psst-
Don’t tell the rest of the league ;)
Jk he wouldn’t really give a fuck if anyone saw him crying. His masculinity isn’t that fragile and those are tears of joy at that so yeah
Our baby is a slaying queen-
Anyone making fun of him could end up with a bullet right between the eyes so there isn’t really a risk of that as well
But he mostly just doesn’t cry. After the abusive time with his mom, he somehow just stopped crying. He shed so many tears through that time, that there kinda weren’t any left.
And if he cries, he just does it in your presence, because you’re his comfort person and he knows he’s safe with you.
It’s so cute-
————————
Hope u like it. I‘ll edit this later if you don’t mind-

I already see it, now that MOANA 2 looks to make around $140-150m for the 3-day weekend take, $200m+ for the 5-day, and plenty more worldwide overall... It's kicking some serious ass, for sure, much like how INSIDE OUT 2 did for Pixar earlier this year.
Like I said, I already see it...
That's it, no more original movies ever again! Especially if ELIO flops! They'll just convert more failed Disney+ shows into sequels!
Once again, no panic buttons here. Only "let's assess" buttons, lol.
Yes, it's true that MOANA 2 was an up-conversion from a Disney+ series, and apparently they crunched the living heck out of the animators/crew because that decision to change things happened way too late in the game... And they're being rewarded at the box office for it, though reviews aren't spectacular and an Oscar nom ain't likely. I wouldn't be surprised if that MUFASA thing has more of a shot at this rate than MOANA 2 does, which I don't think it really has to begin with - it did, however, begin life as a movie from the ground up. If Barry Jenkins somehow pulled it off and people like it, who the hell knows lol. I have no interest, myself.
Back on track, I really do think that something went down at WDAS after WISH imploded at the box office, and Disney themselves did a panic button-pressing because heaven forbid they didn't have a new WDAS movie ready for Thanksgiving 2024. Heck, WISH being a centennial celebration might've been a panic button move in its own way. But yeah, the MOANA 2 situation seemed like this to me: Delay an original, take this MOANA Disney+ series that was showing some promise, quickly make that a movie instead of giving the studio a more reasonable spring 2025 release date to work towards, have our first genuine box office hit since FROZEN II- Anyways...
There's only one Disney+ WDAS show left, and that's TIANA, which to my knowledge is to remain a show.
Even though the streaming bubble has burst and such, but yeah, it still looks to be a show and could probably debut any time next year. From what I understand, it's a Burbank-Vancouver production much like MOANA 2 was, and is aiming for a stylized look in its visuals. More SPIDER-VERSE than actual 2D animation, apparently.
Disney announced TIANA, alongside MOANA: THE SERIES, IWAJU, ZOOTOPIA+, and BAYMAX! in December 2020. Back when these companies convinced themselves that these streaming services were the future. But times have changed, and I feel a lot of MOANA 2 becoming a thing had to do with just how damn popular the original 2016 movie is year after year on streaming services. I'm sure they wanted to do a movie sequel for some time, and that desire probably just grew over the years. I don't think THE PRINCESS AND THE FROG sees that kinda traction on streaming, unless I'm mistaken. Tiana and her world have indeed held on well after the 2009 film's so-so performance ($267m against an $105m budget, 2 1/2x, really didn't seem to be to Disney's liking), the film has a theme park attraction now, but I don't know if it's all enough to make Disney switch gears on TIANA. They could, they may not.
And if they did... I can only hope that such a switch doesn't happen months away from release, yet again. That seemed to be a Jennifer Lee (and John Lasseter) specialty, just micromanaging the hell out of these movies during the finalizing process. No more "lock the picture and go", that's been a thing of the faaaaaar past. I wonder if current leader Jared Bush does the same as Lee and Lasseter, or refrains from that and makes production go smoother. Work out perceived problems very early on, not while the movie itself is being animated, lit, finalized, scored even.
I do not know. I think we get a taste of how Bush runs things when that 2026 movie comes out. MOANA 2 really did seem like a real stopgap production, and a very rushed one at that. The original FROZEN was reportedly such a production, too. Apparently WDAS had nothing for 2013 and hastily put ANNA AND THE SNOW QUEEN, a project halted in early 2010, back in the works to make that date. And eventually retitled it to FROZEN. Supposedly it was in a "development" race w/ KING OF THE ELVES to get that fall 2013 slot. Perhaps the best example of a sort-of "stopgap" film in terms of Disney animated films is none other than... DUMBO! Belted out on a relatively shoestring budget by a B-team within two years, at a time when World War II really made a dent in the Disney studio's armor. They needed something economical out while the "A-team" was still hard at work on BAMBI, which wouldn't be released for another year... In addition to all its other delays. You know, BAMBI was originally supposed to be the second-ever Disney animated feature after SNOW WHITE? Work began on it in 1936, one year before SNOW WHITE's world premiere, but due to so many complications, PINOCCHIO and FANTASIA eventually pulled ahead of it and came out first... BAMBI wouldn't be released until 1942, as the studio's fifth all-animated feature, sixth overall if we're counting hybrid THE RELUCTANT DRAGON.
Where was I? Oh yeah, so there are some tweets floating around that are all like "Disney's just gonna movie-ify more D+ shows" and "No more originals".
Again, TIANA's the only WDAS-made Disney+ series left as far as I know. If that even gets turned into a feature.
And... I've said it before. You don't get sequels without originals, and the wells eventually run dry. Even the other big-time animation studios know this...
WDAS has sequelized most of their 2010s output, and likely won't touch the pre-CGI stuff. Disney Pictures instead just remakes those. No animated legacy sequels to the classics. Though could you imagine how much moolah Disney would make if they got a great 2D unit together and made a true LION KING sequel? That would make *serious* bucks... But that would never happen, lol. And would cause headaches amongst some as to what counts and what doesn't, if it were to ignore the Disneytoon sequels and such.
I know some of us get upset when the slate seems rather sequel-heavy, and in the case of both WDAS and Pixar... It kinda does seem that way, not gonna lie.
WDAS has ZOOTOPIA 2 next year, FROZEN III in 2027, and FROZEN IV sometime thereafter. No word on what the 2026 original is, and I'm pretty sure they'll keep an original slotted for 2026. The studio doesn't really do two movies a year like Pixar's been doing, save for 2016 packing both ZOOTOPIA and MOANA, and 2021 - because of COVID - serving up RAYA AND THE LAST DRAGON and ENCANTO... If they did that, I think they'd have more originals to balance out sequels. So in a way, I get it. It seems like a looong wait for something original, as the years go by. Well, that's what we have other animation studios for. If Disney's not bringing an original movie in a calendar year from either of their studios, then look to someone else. This year, we did get non-sequel movies like TRANSFORMERS ONE and THE WILD ROBOT, some streaming stuff like ORION AND THE DARK and ULTRAMAN RISING. Most of those maybe based on books or IPs or whatever, but weren't sequels to anything.
As frustrating as that is for Disney fans, it's not like the 1960s and 1970s, where the waits between a new Disney animated feature would be like 3-4 years. And you didn't have the classic ones on any home media formats, unless you somehow had access to film prints of them.
The other thing is, "original movies" this, "original movies" that... When it seems like most of the internet wasn't too fond of... The majority of the original movies both WDAS and Pixar had put out over the past four years. Suppose ZOOTOPIA 2 next year blows all of those movies out of the water and is a bona fide high quality home run... Then I think it will boil down to what I always think it boils down to, when it comes to armchair purveyors of animated family film excellence... It ain't the lack of originals, or the lack of specific devices/tropes these people want in their animated movies...
They just want good storytelling, however they may define that.
Fwiw, I liked a lot of those so-called "mid" originals. Pixar I think let out some entertaining films like ONWARD and LUCA, and I absolutely loved TURNING RED, and ELEMENTAL has some great stuff in it. On the WDAS end, I found RAYA to be a fun film and ENCANTO has moments of greatness, I see a better film trapped under STRANGE WORLD's Koeingsegg pacing and undercooked story. WISH was really the only animated Disney release of the 2020s to really leave me with little, but I didn't straight up dislike it.
That's all a discussion for another day, really. MOANA 2 is said to be an obvious patchy job from said purveyors, but I heard at least two ovations at my cinema job, audiences coming out of it very satisfied, lots of families taking photos with the cardboard lobby displays too. It seems like they really dug it... I won't be surprised if this thing legs it all the way to $500-600m domestically alone, and get the big billion worldwide...
Anyways, I'm waiting patiently for WDAS to announce what the 2026 movie is. That'll be three years since the release of WISH...

Thoughts on The Little Mermaid
(Meant to post my thoughts after I saw the film the other day but due to laziness I’m only doing it now lol.)
Halle Bailey was born to be a Disney princess and born to play Ariel; she was ✨perfection✨. I cannot wait to see the incredible career she has in front of her. (And since she was the first person who auditioned I like to imagine afterwards the casting team were just like “well obvi we’ve got our Ariel... but I guess we have to humour auditioning other actors to make it seem like there could be anybody else in the running, you know out of the politest of courtesies”.)
There could have been no better Prince Eric than Jonah Hauer-King; he brought many a Disney fan’s cartoon crush to life in every which way (I literally dread to think what might have been in an alternate timeline if they had given the role to someone who can’t act...)
And Halle and Jonah’s chemistry 😍😍😍 the soft gazes, the gentle smiles, the palpable love and awe; that’s the shit I lap up. I would love to see them work together again and you can tell from the press junkets that they have such a wonderful rapport and mutual admiration for one another.
The way Halle somehow managed to raise the bar with her version of Part of Your World (those notes, holy s-) - my god her voice is heavenly 🥰
I loved Wild Uncharted Waters, it was a beautiful addition to the story to expand things from Eric’s perspective and Jonah’s impressed me with his vocals.
The Scuttle Rap... not so much (and if you’re going to give anyone a chance to rap... I mean Tony award winner Daveed Diggs was literally right there like???)
I love Melissa McCarthy but I would have loved to have seen a drag queen take the role of Ursula since the animated version was based on Divine. Ginger Minj would have eaten that gig up.
Wish we had seen a little more of Ariel’s sister beyond the couple of scenes where they got a brief couple of lines each (and no this isn’t me simply wishing Simone Ashley had been given more screen time... really it isn’t... 👀)
All in all I have to say this was my favourite of the Disney live adaptations (and since my favourite sequel growing up was The Little Mermaid 2... I would love love love if they did a live adaptation of that in about 12 years time, if only to have Halle and Jonah back together on my screen once more 🤞 ).
#the little mermaid 2023#this was really just me hyping up halle and jonah but you know what? it's what they deserve period.#halle bailey#jonah hauer-king

please do tell about these childhood shenanigans /nf
why yes of course. for reference i am the oldest (20) then giosi (18) then hannah (16) then maria (12) then tony (10). most of these are about me and giosi and hannah tho lol bc we were all kids at the same time.
1. when me and giosi and hannah were all very young, our aunt went to disney world. she sent us back postcards. my postcard has princess aurora on it, who was giosi’s favourite, and when i did not give her MY postcard that was addressed to ME when she demanded, she grabbed one of my pigtails and yanked so hard i smacked my head on the floor. i still bring this up and she is still unapologetic (how dare i steal her fave princess)
2. my nonno and nonna were both seamstresses. they had a sewing room in their basement so they could work. we were forbidden to go in alone but as children we would frequently sneak and and play a game called needles, wherein we would see who could slide the most amount of needles through the first layer of skin on our fingers until someone fucked up and made themselves bleed. then we would chase another relative (usually younger) around the house and convince them that we were magnetic aliens who would come for them next
3. all of us were obsessed with making potions. this would frequently be done either outside with leaves and dirt and worms and shit or inside with slime materials. often we would dare each other to taste the potions.
4. hannah used to eat paper as a toddler. none of us know why. she would literally like devour any paper in her vicinity so she couldn’t be left alone with craft supplies. once she ate like nineteen napkins when my mom looked away (giosi and i counted)
5. follow up on the paper thing. this last easter maria very carefully made paper name tags for everyone at the dinner table and arranged them so she wouldn’t have to sit near giosi’s boyfriend (whom she despises), and hannah decided to eat them just to make maria go ballistic. it worked. maria made more name tags in a rage. hannah waited until she turned away to eat them again. hannah’s boyfriend watched this whole thing and is still in love with her somehow. she was sixteen at the time
6. maria and i used to share a room. we had this weird bunk bed that my dad made where my bed was vertical and hers was horizontal. maria used to wake me up by jumping from her bunk onto my poor unsuspecting body. we don’t share a room anymore but occasionally she ventures into my room in the early hours of the morning just to do this
7. when my sisters discovered i was being teased and name-called at school they decided that they would help me by calling me worse names so the names at school hurt my feelings less. they called me jack-e-coli for years. this worked
8. hannah was once angry with me so she stole and hid my favourite book at the time (the hunger games). she denied it when i threw a fit about it. i could never prove it so i gave up. one year later i was messing around in her room and i found my boom THAT SHE FORGOT ABOUT. she laughed herself to tears and i was so mad that i threw her pillow out the window
9. when i was in grade seven and maria was in kindergarten, there was this asshole in my class and on our bus who loved to terrorize us. i beat him up a couple times but it didn’t do much to stop him. once, he got out of class before me, and ran to the kindergarten cage to get to maria before i could. he stole her backpack and taunted her with it. maria, five years old and like three feet tall, simply glared at him, reared back as hard as she could and kicked him in the shins. he collapsed immediately. she yanked her backpack out of his hands and spat on him before running over to me lmfao
10. at our nonno’s funeral me and all four of my siblings gathered away from everyone else (bored) and played poker incorrectly. if you lost you had to take a shot of black coffee or toss back a packet of salt. it was disgusting. it was also funny and to this day i know my nonno would have laughed
11. giosi and hannah used to have this giant chain of elastic bands that they called their ‘bungee chord’. sometimes they would tie their monster high dolls to it and have them bungee jump over the railing. other times they would hang the dolls by execution
12. once they beheaded a doll and decided to hang that doll from my ceiling fan like the little freaks they were and are
13. bonus weirdo story involving my mom. for maria’s sixth birthday she had a dora piñata. i was the last to get a turn wackiness it because i’m a) significantly stronger than anyone else bar my father and b) hugely uncoordinated. the piñata was stubborn as hell and was not bursting open so my mom finally gave me the broomstick and put on my blindfold. i swim full force and felt my stick hit something and felt that something give, but no one made any noise, so i took off my blindfold to see that i had cleanly beheaded poor dora in front of a group of horrified six year olds. my mom laughed herself hoarse and told them to get the candy already. in the middle of the night she snuck into my room and hung the dora head on my closet, which scared the shit out of me when i woke up, but i since i’m autistic i deadass developed an attachment to the head and it stayed on my closet for two years
14. once at a hotel, me and hannah and giosi were awake playing cards while the youngest two were asleep, and then out of nowhere maria shoots straight up out of bed, completely dead asleep, faced us, sighed, and then said “hannah hannah hannah hannah.” then she giggled (STILL DEAD ASLEEP) and then fell back asleep. this was a couple months after the incident at home where she sat straight up in bed, pointed to the dark corner of our room and sighed “nice man over there.” i left her there and slept in the bathtub
15. i only had friends over like one time in grade ten to make gingerbread. halfway through my friends all looked at each other and went upstairs as i was taking stuff out of the oven, u followed them only to see them all losing their entire shit laughing because my seven year old brother was in his room, on his mini drum set, banging the hell out of them with zero rhythm and screaming at the top of his lungs

Another casual Movie Review!
From meee!!! :D
Hello again, we got one of my main sources to my love for animated movies/shows today, Disney!
And we got their new movie, Wish!
First off, !!🟥SPOILERS🟥!!
I watched this at home and it released in Cinema so I can't count reviewing the animation because I only got the low quality cinema vid for now. Still tho, animations are great, so ye, I'm sure it gud UvU
But we're talking more about the story, characters, and other perks!
In my first watch, I was pretty chill, entertained, and unbothered... in most cases. Honestly, I was only feeling unbothered sometimes because of the expectations of people's critics all over Wish
In my second watch tho, I was pretty bored, yet still enjoyed it somehow, but anyway–
I give the movie ALONE a 7/10
The characters are great, the songs are gud to listen to while watching (This Wish is on loop in my head tho, that one's catchy), the comedy is gud too, story is gud too!
Yeah, guys! The movie is actually not bad!
...It's just not jaw dropping that is, y'know?
The movie is a little generic but also not??? I dunno
It kept me entertained, it's a gud movie for funzies, and it's especially not that triggering at least to me, it's just not that rewatchable y'know? Also had some trouble remembering some of the characters' names even
Anyway ye, movie, okie
Easter eggs were fun to catch
(My dad even has his own theories like Asha being the fairy godmother like from Cinderella and Magnifico being the mirror like from Snow White)
...BUT—
I WANNA TALK 'BOUT SOMETHING ELSE
Huh? What? No it's not critism, I'm already done
NO, it's my favorite part of all
IMAGINING POTENTIALS!!!
Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying the movie had potential, I mean, it does in some cases but not generally
HOWEVER
If you consider their SCRAPPED CONCEPTS like these fav examples: Star is supposed to be a shape shifter and has a male human form (possible romance with Asha), and Magnifico and Amaya are supposed to be a villain COUPLE! LIKE BRO! This is the ONLY part I'm triggered by the movie honestly, because it's MISSED potential! This potential didn't come from the movie itself, no! It's from the dumps!
I'm honestly glad fanfics exist
Like imagine bruh, what more new set of formulas can you think of? Asha's father being Magnifico instead? Making her a PRINCESS?! WHOLE NEW TOP TIER LEVEL TO TACKLE– oh wait
SOMEONE'S ALREADY DOING THAT! YASSS
read it pls, it gud
Anyway, ye, that's honestly the only fun I have from the movie, imagining it's potential
But it's honestly a shame that the potential is missed rather than the potential is oozing... you confused? Okay, what I mean is, missed potential is like those scrapped concepts, oozing potential is like from the movie itself has potential for a few tweaks here and there and boom! Better movie! So ye, Gacha Every math for ya lol
Anyway, ye, it's a shame...
BUT DON'T LET IT STOP YA THERE!!!
DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT IF YA URGED TO🔥🔥🔥
YOU, ME, ANYONE, TACKLE THE INGREDIENTS! MAKE A MEAL!! AND WE'LL FEAST!!!
Artist, writer, daydreamer, WHATEVER! I JUST w i s h ;D PEOPLE SHOW THEIR REVISIONS OF THE MOVIE! Let the creativity and fun DRIVE!!!
I SURE I AM! WOOO!!!
Movie fine: 7/10 :)
Revision rush: 9/10 B)
Wish is gud, healed my inner child which is what my constructive criticism is orbit to, so if you're into that thing, stay tuned for more! ^w^

Fluffy Paradise / Isekai de Mofumofu Nadenade suru Tame ni Ganbattemasu Episode 1
Overall Score so far: 6/10
This was a cute fluffy introduction almost deserving of it's name.
To sum it up: Lady dies and is Reborn with the power of MOFUMOFU NADENADE / Fuffy Petting, in exchange for what will probably end up being her attempts at erradicating slavery and prejudice against the Furry Community.
Fluffy Animal Count: 2+
We got a lovely fluffy pupper who is our MC's companion, a giant fluffy Sky Tiger which is a super special rare pet of one of the princes (because of course), and... not much else yet apart from random forest animals. That dragon sure ain't fluffy.
The animation itself has some wonky faces and obviously doesn't have a big budget, but they sure do know how to make animals looks super fluffy! I want to mofumofu nadenade toooooo
The plot is... meh so far.
Episode 1 Spoilers/Review Below
It starts out with your typical Isekai death, not Truck Kun but Karoushi/Death from Over Working. Unfortunately, the way it played out was boring and typical of the genre, in the sense that I shouted "THAT'S NOT HOW KAROUSHI WORKS YO" while it was happening, lol.
Shiney Isekai Lights happen, and she gets to speak with god!!
Whose like: I can't change the way you (will?) die but if you help me, I'll let you be reborn with special powers! (WHICH MEANS SHE'S GOING TO DIE FROM OVERWORK AGAIN?? or does it just mean she can't go back to her old body??)
and suddenly she has a happy and rich Ducal family looking down on her and using magic to bestow her with her new name, Nefertina. Jump cut to her 3rd birthday, and her loving family giving her gifts and playing with her and showing off the forest animals treating her like a Disney princess, and her dog that has Spy x Family Bond level intelligence.
Then one day her mother has to go to the palace for work, and everyone else in the family is at school or at work themselves. Mom can't leave her alone and wonders what to do.
Question 1: WHERE ARE THE SERVANTS, THE MAIDS, THE WET NURSE THE CHILD OF A DUKE WOULD ABSOLUTELY HAVE???
Mom says she can't leave Nefertina alone, takes her with her to the palace, and then PROCEEDS TO LEAVE A 3 YEAR OLD ALONE ON A SOFA IN A HALLWAY WITH NOTHING TO DO.
Said 3 year old proceeds to jump out the window, and wander off into the palace forest/garden. YOU SHOULDA JUST LEFT HER WITH THE DOG, MOM. What did you THINK would happen.
AND WHERE ARE ALL THE PALACE SERVANTS???
I get this is a low budget show, but surely they can pay for servants??
Of course this is all just a setup to have her meet the (13 year old?) prince and his Sky tiger, and of course she doesn't realize he's the prince and they banter in a way that makes me really hope that this is not a love interest for future Nefertina, at least not until much further in the future. (Please let him take on a big brother/care taker role, p l e a s e)
Skip to mom and dad's scolding, then skip to Parent Observation Day at Magic School!
The test for how to direct soldiers was actually really cool! Use magic and vocal commands to direct miniature soldier dolls. Of course Big Bro defeats the big bully despite his underdog position.
Cut to Big Sis's test, where she has to use magic to subdue a summoned monster. But OH NO (fake scream) a RED DRAGON has appeared!! How could this have happened?? (/s so hard)
Small Child Nefertina is somehow able to JUMP THE RAMP AGAIN (and be saved by what was likely the Sky Tiger's magic?) and then NONE OF THE SOLDIERS STOP HER as she runs FASTER than all of them, and stands in front of them to say STOP DONT HURT IT.
The lack of explanation for why she does this is a bit more annoying than enticing, but hopefully that will be explained in the next episode. Can she read animal minds or their vibes or something??
It's also the first act that a 3 year old wouldn't be capable of, and finally shows that there is a 30 year old in there.
Until this last act of hers, the story didn't feel like it needed to be an isekai. It could legit just be a cute fluffy fantasy with an actual 3 year old.
This is actually my biggest gripe so far that might affect whether I keep watching or drop it part way. Personally, I love the Isekai trope and power fantasy of an adult reborn in a child's body with all their memories intact, whose able to use their smarts and life experiences to position themselves favorably in their new world, and work their way up from an "early" age. However, even though she is 27 mentally when she gets isekai'd, she acts nothing like an adult, nor even an adult trying to hide that she's a 30 year old mentally in a 3-year-old's body.
Maybe we will get more "adult thinking" shenanigans in future episodes, but if not, I hope it goes the way of 「By the Grace of the Gods」 which has a similar premise, except the gods who isekai protag-kun also slowly let his memories regress and turn him into an actual child over an extended period, so he can re-experience life without his terrible past lingering.
VVVVV Highly Recommend!! VVVVV
Notable Voice Actors!
Nefertina is Kakuma, Ai, who plays Eris from Mushoku Tensei and Lenalee from D. Gray Man! Not a huge name in the VA world, but a very cute voice.
Big Brother Ralph Osfe is Umeda, Shuuichirou who also plays Akira Tendo from Zom 100!! He's also not a big name, but feels like an up and coming kind of voice, and I immediately recognized his voice as something I'd watched recently (Zom 100)
Everyone else seems to be up and coming or small time VAs whom I don't recognize. Some good voices though!
Overall Score so far: 6/10
It's barely holding on, and with the number of other shows I'm watching, there is a chance I might drop it. It's a lovely potato chip though. Or maybe fluffy mashed potatoes? hahaha
ep2 ep3 ep4 ep5 ep6 <- these will eventually become links
#fluffy paradise#isekai de mofumofu nadenade suru tame ni ganbattemasu#mofu mofu nade nade#異世界でもふもふなでなでするたみに頑張ってます。#anime winter 2024

Disney VHS Request REview Aladdin
So I have a fondness for old home media formats and have a bunch of Disney movies on VHS ,thought it would be fun to let my mutuals pick which ones I watch .And to answer your question ,I am watching these specific films on VHS ,cause it legit adds to the nostalgic feel
Requested by @goodanswerfoxmonster ,we shall look at Aladdin
The plot of this 1992 film is street urchin Aladdin (Scott Weinger ) gains posession of a magic lamp holding an all powerful Genie (Robin Williams ) who will grant Aladdin three wishes which Aladdin uses tomake himself a prince and woo PRinxess Jasmine (Linda Larkin ).Can Aladdin not only stand against the machinations of the royal vizier Jafar (Johnathan Freeman ) but also his fears of being himself ?
So do I have nostalgia for this film:Yes I do! Saw it many times as a kid ,as well as its sequels and TV series (I mightve saw Return of Jafar first ,I'm not sure ) .As a kidI thought it was a very good movie but as an adult......I have the same exact opinion
Yeah sorry folks I dont have anything groundbreaking to say about this film, most people agree it is pretty darn good, and I think it is pretty darn good. Its not among my favorites but everything is pretty solid in terms of entertainment I feel ....I am actually at a loss at what to talk about on this
I think Aladdin is a pretty solid protagonist with a solid character journey with his own insecurities while also being a very clever and resourceful hero .JAsmine is I think my third favorite Disney Princess (Behind Repunzel and Belle ) and I like the chemistry between the two protags .Side characters are good, love Abu the kleptomaniac monky and the Magic Carpet who is a character in its own right .The film, even seen on VHS and 30 years later ,I maintain is one of Disneys best looking films ,the animation is spetacular
The villain is great ,Jafar is a good mix of classic villainy while being a good foil to our hero, our hero is a poor kid ,our villain is this elegant guy in high power ,and that is his defining thing ,he DESIRES power. He might be one of the best power hungry villains I have seen ,because no matter however powerful he is.....Its never enough for him,and this comes to bit him in the butt ,which tends to happen with villains. HE is also just a good classic style villain, very elegant, cackling ,cracking puns and just enjoying his own evil .He is wonderfully designed and animated by Andreas Deja and I must give credit toJohnathan Freeman ,Jafars voice actor ,who is so comitted to the character he has played him various animated projects ,video games and even on STAGE over the past 30 years .I also must mention he has one of the best minions ,Iago ,his parrot voiced Gilbert Gottfried who is really funny .I dunno I love that there are moments where they are friends (Till the end at least ) and the contrast of this loud mouthed crass bird with this refined villain ,they are a good duo
I also think the film has some great action scenes ,including possibly the best climax to any Disney film next to Sleeping Beauty . The final fight between Aladdin and Jafar is legit exciting starting as a struggle, then becoming Jafar throwing spells at Aladdin and then escalating to Jafar becoming a GIANT COBRA while Aladdin battle him with a sword. Its cool I like ir
Of course ya cant talk about this movie.....Without talking about one character/performance. The Genie is just such a perfect melding of character animation and actor .Much has been said of Robin Williams performance with is various adlibs and impressions giving the character a zany feel ,but one must give credit to ERic Goldberg ,the animator who makes the character a litteral shape shifter and is somehow able to match Williams chaotic energy .Comedically just cause of how random some of the refrences are not all the jokes work......But he is really funny most of the time .Most of all his friendship with Aladdin and desire for freedom. Also "Youll always be a prince to me".....Always makes me misty eyed
Now lets talk about the songs cause this soundtrack is great....And it is kind of a miracle they are .See originally the songs were done by Alan Menken and Howard Ashman ....But then Ashman died and they tried to keep as many songs as they could but there were story changes so they got Tim Rice to work with Alan Menken ....So we went from Little Shop of Horrors guy to the Jesus Christ Superstar Guy ,kind of a weird mix .I am impressed by the work of all three and how it all fits together .Not gonna rank the songs, they are all great but I am gonna talk about them .Also will JUST talk about the songs in the film, as much as I love Ashmans deleted songs like the heartfelt PRoud of Your Boy and the villain song Humiliate the Boy (And its kind of tragic subtext )
Arabian Nights while I like Bruce Adlers singing and the actual instrumentals(And it became kind of Aladdins theme song ) is for me the weakest song.It sets a mysterious mood which is hilariously subverted by Robin Williams adlibbing a bunch of stuff as a merchant ,but its just not a favorite
One Jump Ahead is great ,I thought it was an Ashman song but its actually a Rice one,its a great comical intro to Aladdin as a character and I like short softer reprise
Friend Like Me ...Is the best.It is the best song .Contender for best scene.Robin Williams justs add so much energy ,the animation is so wild ,and Its just such a fun show stopper
Prince Ali is another great showcase for Williams this one is just such a fun hype song for Aladdin when disgusised as a prince
PArt of your World is one of the most romantic scenes in Disney ,Aladdin and Jasmine seeing the world on a magic carpet is just so damn lovely and the song is just so sweet
Prince Ali Reprise......Is one hell of an underrated villain song . They actually went through several possible villain songs for Jafar , till they decided to have him sing a reprise of Prince Ali .Its pretty short and I can see someone being disappointed they didnt use say Why Me (A villain song which gives us more about his character ).....I think this was the right choice cause it his BEST moment in the film ,he is GLEEFULLLY taking down Aladdin by VENEMOUSLY spitting back his own theme song, now thats a villain !!! .Also it is punctuated by a TERRIFYING evil laugh
Now Question time
1.Is Iago Furry Bait
Oh most certainly not
2.Is Jafar like KINDA hot
Honestly he kind of is . Johnathan Freemans voice is alluring and I love his elegance
3.do you enjoy this movie more or The Thief of Baghdad?
I like this film.....But The Thief of Baghdad is just better ,it appeals more to the side of me that loves fantasy and the performances are just so good
OVerall good movie

Update on my feelings for the new upcoming family movies
Us DreamWorks fans are on the edge of our seats because we're getting a Chicken Run 2, Trolls 3, and Kung Fu Panda 4! Big day woohoo! The only thing is, I hope they do well (I know Chicken Run 2 somehow became property of Netflix because DreamWorks and Aardman aren't working together, that makes me angry). I'm also really excited for the new movie "Migration" and I hope that it's as good as it looks. I loved the new Super Mario movie, and I loved Puss in boots Last Wish, I'm SO GLAD that they beat Disney at the box office. However, I'm mostly here to talk about my thoughts on the live action Little Mermaid.
Okay, listen; I don't give a darn about her skin color, she's a MERMAID and it's based off a 200 year old fairytale that was pretty woke for something that's been around before my town was founded. I'm not here to talk about that, though! I'm here to talk about how I feel about the live actin and Disney on it's own. It really looks like this live action Little Mermaid is doing well, and while I'm happy for Halle, I have mixed feelings. I honestly think Halle's a beautiful woman and makes a very beautiful mermaid, and I'm a big fan of Jodi Benson, even though I don't care for the cartoon Disney Little Mermaid (I mostly like Jodi because of Camp Lazlo). It's mostly the story that I don't like! In fact, I hate the cheesy classic Disney romances. Am I the only one... or? Please tell me I'm bot the only one who finds them always portraying the underage princess as "sexy" and almost always making her fall in love with a "handsome" prince who just a stale, himbo who barely has any personality. I get they were a product of their time, but they're not really good for girls nor boys, or anyone for that matter (by anyone I mean people who don't identify as any gender, not adults). Yes, adults can rewatch those movies and enjoy them if they were apart of their childhood, just like how I cling onto cartoons from my childhood. It's just that, I don't think the older movies are very good for kids by today's standards. Not everything needs to be all romanticized and glamourous anymore, we like some realistic mishaps in family movies. I'd choose something like Duck Duck Goose or Early Man over a 40-70 year old Disney movie any day! In my completely honest opinion, I'd rather watch this live action Little Mermaid than the old cartoon one, but I don't care for either of those movies! I'm also personally not happy that Disney is being fussed over by everybody again, I'm still advocating for these smaller companies. If you grew up on a lot of non-Disney cartoons and movies, you would understand what I mean!
I also hate when people would call me "racist" for hating on the new Little Mermaid, when I hate the old one just as much, if not more! Racism is a horrible concept, and the word shouldn't be thrown around so loosely for hardly anything! I think they really scored themselves a beautiful mermaid when they casted Halle, but I'm still not a fan of the movie. I'm not mad because of the animals either... okay, well if it were up to me I'd swap out that singing crab for a tough pirate girl who helps teach the mermaid about human life but in all honestly, it's mostly the story that I'm not crazy about, plus the fact that I think Disney is still so overrated! I really hope that Trolls 3 and Migration both beat the live action Little Mermaid at the box office! As for Elemental, it looks pure cringe... heck, I even hope Little Mermaid beats that!
Another thing, if I had a friend who wanted to watch the Live Action Little Mermaid to make fun of it, we're not seeing it in theaters. We are going to watch it one of those free movie websites with the sketchy pop up ads (I use them for movies all the time anyway). I don't have Disney plus, and even if you do, but you wanted to watch one of the new movies, I suggest using one of the free movie websites because they're still gonna make money from Disney plus. Streaming services are run by people, and they see when people watch movies. If a movie is watched a numerous amount of times on any streaming service, that streaming service, as well as the creators are somehow notified and will continue to make movies that are similar. If you're genuinely excited about the new live action Little Mermaid, you can go see it in theaters but if you're just going to watch it to make fun of it, watch it on Actvid or Moviesjoy. Also, if you're a Trolls fan as much as I am (come on, I know there's a fandom here on tumblr! Where's my Trolls fandom at?) go watch Trolls 3 in theaters so that DreamWorks can know that us fans exist and it's NOT a waste of money to make another movie! Broppy shippers, I hear we're gonna get what we want, too! I also hope Illumination does well with this new movie Migration, because it looks adorable, as I said before in another post.
One more thing I forgot to mention; that Ruby Gillman movie looks pretty cute. It personally doesn't suit my taste, but I hope it does well. It's DreamWorks, and I'm a huge DreamWorks fan, but not everything from them is good. It's gotta be way better than Shark Tale or Boss Baby... and definitely **pukes** The Bee movie... (Oh gosh I wanna puke just thinking about the Bee Movie... and this is coming from someone who likes bees). That Ruby Gillman Teenage Kraken movie definitely doesn't look as appealing to me as Trolls 3, but my bestie and I are gonna have ourselves a little movie night and give it a try, and then I'll probably review it!
Anyway, thank you for listening to my thoughts and I hope that after reading the whole thing, you won't jump to conclusions when someone says they don't like the Live action Little Mermaid. Not everyone who hates it is mad about the skin color thing, we just don't care for it! And if you're a Trolls fan like me, PLEASE drop me a comment! I'll be so happy to chat with you in the comments! Even if you're not, feel free to comment your feelings anyway!
