Actually concerning lately how many hostile comments I have seen about queer women in kpop circles on here and twitter that are kind of framed through the guise of statements you can't really argue with like 'idols are real people' and 'idols deserve privacy' but with a tone that just shows how much people hate queer women more than they care about idols being real people and their privacy. Like I will see people say things about female idols like 'Women attractor!!' 1 - I don't remember New ever talking about his sexuality or being asked about it, really. He's not the type to openly talk about specifics like that. P'Zee is the exact opposite though, here's one of many times he's talked about his sexuality (translation by me):

i was possibly the first one to say gary is the main li, anon.

'cause here's the thing... when the season ended, fusebox released a FAQ, and in there they said bobby's popularity was a surprise to them. they didn't say who was their biggest bet, but i do think it was gary.

think about his route, and what it takes to not only go through it but also to get him again. it's day 1, then day 9, but in between you have plenty of opportunities to sneak around and have secret kisses while being coupled up with someone else.

you have hannah and marisol pining for him, someone else choosing you and stopping you from being a couple again. in the mean time he asks for advice on what to do about marisol, but at the same time there's a spark between you two, which is foreshadowed in the dialogue between the girls during brunch.

there's just too many hints about his couple not working and how displeased both of them are while together. and he does say mc is the person he feels closer to, and asks for a kiss right after.

lucas has become more popular after the season ended, and i do think because he's interchangeable, he wasn't a bet either. i don't think fusebox believed in his potential, which is crazy to me!

ibrahim will bring shannon back regardless, and then switch to jo. his personality doesn't fit with mc's, so it's also a no.

noah, as they called, was "a dirty little secret", and they have said multiple times he wasn't supposed to be end game.

henrik is also interchangeable, so i don't think he was either.

casa amor guys, poor boys, don't have much time to make an impression, and even if you bring them back, they end up sharing scenes and dialogues with the OG boys.

DON'T GET ME STARTED ON MARISOL AND ELISA. sloppy routes, inconsistent dialogues, reasoning that doesn't make any sense. jesus!

so yes, i do think, since the beginning, gary was fusebox' biggest bet.

now... lottie being the season villain fits her trope, and i say 'trope' and not 'arc' because she doesn't have one. not really. even if gary is not your li she's still very problematic and nosy. she just HAS to get involved, even when it doesn't concern her. she doesn't know the meaning of the phrase "stay in your lane" and just shoves herself in very single thing, but somehow mc is the one the tweet was talking about. *rolls eyes*

by the time the operation happens, she says she's done with the drama. but in the same night she doesn't explain herself and instead gives chelsea shit for telling everyone what she did.

lottie loves preaching about girl code but only follows through when it's beneficial to her. she's not supportive of mc if she's with gary, and there's a huge difference between lottie and hope.

the main one is noah always picking hope. by choosing to recouple, over and over, with the same girl, he's making a statement that he's into her and wants to continue on that couple. it's simple!

gary has never, not once, picked lottie over mc. there's no reason for her to believe that he has any deep feelings because he has never said it or done anything that reaffirms that.

i consider her a villain because she's possessive. she's delusional, toxic, problematic, and to top it all off, not a good friend. when did she ever approach mc to talk about her problems? spontaneously i mean.

because hope and chelsea do that. chelsea being programmed to be the best friend, hope, despite having her problems going down during the season, is also very supportive.

AND SHE'S FUCKING CUTE, because she declares mc is the only girl she sees being friends with her on the outside. does lottie do that? marisol? priya? jo? elisa? NO! it's so endearing when she says that, and even if you go for operation, she still trusts you by the end of the season, because she doesn't say anything about you going to the roof terrace with noah.

lottie however doesn't respect people's boundaries, she doesn't leave it alone unless it's about her own wrong doing. she's an immature self righteous girl, who thinks power play is more important than real friendship.

biggest example of that is the cringe worthy line she delivers when leaving chelsea and priya hanging. "acquire some taste" is not a slay. it just isn't! it's her being confronted by something she did and not owning up to it, despite demanding everybody else to do it when she demands it!

it's really easy to go around and judge people on their mistakes, but if you cannot check yourself and think "maybe i'm being an asshole, let me listen a little, let me learn" you don't have maturity, you're not trying to grow up, you're not having a redemption.

the next day, when you put lottie and priya together, the only thing lottie does is victimize herself. "ah, i thought about leaving, i thought about hannah, me this, me that" but have you seen lottie apologizing to marisol, and admitting she was wrong?

have you seen her admitting she wasn't even that into rocco (because she was planning on hitting on gary by day 5, during the welcome party)?? she doesn't. she sits on the fact that she had already kissed the guy before marisol and rocco even connected.

she judges gary by saying he looks like the type that only cares about soccer and drinks, but later on is offended that someone judged her;

she goes behind everyone's backs and kisses a guy that isn't her partner on the very same day her best friend leaves, best friend who was into said guy, and keeps it to herself;

keeps flirting with gary and henrik, even though she says it's the sign of a cheater when rocco does it;

lies/omits her mistakes on early days but says it out loud that bobby is a liar;

when she asks mc if it's appropriate to choose gary, and mc says no, she disregards the advice and says "i've made up my mind anyway";

tries to play the victim when chelsea tells everyone about something wrong she did, and walks away leaving everyone hanging when lottie herself has demanded and followed people around to get explanations that didn't even concern her;

should i go on? alright:

first thing she does is changing the color of her hair because she thinks the guy that spent the night with her in the hideaway doesn't like it (fake confidence much???);

talks about an intimate moment she shared with him, WITHOUT THE GUY'S CONSENT, while dyeing her hair. so casual of her;

when sees kassam, immediately gets wet and proceeds to flirt and talk to him but when asked about gary she says "he better be ready for the consequences". CRINGE.

keeps claiming ownership on gary when she wasn't even with him (not that it would be okay for her to do it if she was), completely dismissing and ignoring mc's feelings in the process;

getting angry that ibrahim switched, even though he was having couple trouble before, and shames him for finding someone because now she's in danger of getting dumped. UNLESS HE WAS WITH MC BEFORE, in which case mc should be happy for him;

this is just the first 18 days. and not everything happened during gary's route. should i go on?

lottie gives mc shit for being hurt about noah and hope getting back together, but insists that she and gary are meant to be, EVEN WHEN SHE WAS NEVER COUPLED UP WITH HIM;

when hannah comes back, lottie is afraid of the backlash she's gonna get, and not concerned ONE FUCKING BIT about having an opportunity to apologize to her so called best friend;

SHE FEELS THREATENED AND CONCERNED ABOUT GARY'S HEAD TURNING WHEN SHE'S NOT COUPLED UP WITH HIM; not only it's disrespectful to mc, but it's also disrespectful towards bobby, who has endured this fucking girl this entire time, the poor guy!

and after 25 days, we get the final recoupling, and an opportunity to tell her off about claiming gary as someone who has dibs on the last fry, and she still continues pining over him afterwards;

baby challenge, remember? even when she's with bobby, the baby's name is LARRY. lottie+gary. not only did she fail to get the guy, she also has a massive fail by trying to launch their couple name, AND AGAIN, SHE'S NOT WITH HIM;

now let me tell you something. she goes through all this, all this trouble, all this bothering and poor attitude, without having an arc, or redemption of any kind, just so he would dump her ass less than 3 months later.

she talks about his moves in bed in front of everyone while dancing in the prom; GIRL!

she just can't let go even though she knows they have nothing in common. a lot of people give shit to hope and noah because they would never work, but where's that energy for lottie and gary????

WHERE? they are just PHYSICAL, and somehow it's ok? it's passable? it's "goth girl and gamer golden retriever" energy??? it's cute???

NO! i see people that are not noah stans giving nope shit, but where's the shit for lottie and gary being the biggest disaster of a couple? where is it? i've been trying to find it and can only see when gary stans say something.

in conclusion, lottie is the villain because she's a bloody hypocrite who only cares about herself, doesn't own up to shit she does, criticizes people for the same mistakes she makes, has the cringiest fucking one liners i've ever heard, thinking she's the hottest shit in the villa, and to top it all off she blames it on being a scorpio (DON'T GET ME STARTED).

"S4 Sneak Peek" Teaser - SECOND PART

This is my second post about the st4 sneak peek teaser, regarding the second half of the st4 sneak peek teaser, which contains the new images for s4.

(the first part of this s4 sneak peek discussion regarding the first half of the teaser can be found here.)

The California group; Will, Mike, Argyle, Jonathan (and El for part of the season), are not shown in the s4 footage, neither is Joyce, who we also know is in California for at least part of the season. There are several possible reasons why they aren’t included, one being that they are waiting to release any content surrounding Joyce and Will’s storyline until both of their individual teasers are released, or that their storyline contains major spoilers too sensitive to reveal at this time.

Now getting into the images…

The Grandfather Clock:

It is striking midnight, which could be a reference to the doomsday clock, or just time running out until something catastrophic happens.

This clock has been seen several times in promos:

My running theory is the clocks represent memories, which will be re-visited through the powers of the upside down/the void, essentially “time travel flashbacks". If you want to read more about this theory it's in my post here. I think the grandfather clock being positioned in the upside down, further supports this theory.

A clock was also seen in the "Eleven are you listening?" teaser, striking 3 a.m., aka "the witching hour".

Eleven in s4:

In the first image, Eleven looks like Joyce. She has the same hairstyle with the bangs. Whether she is mimicking Joyce after getting closer and more attached to her, or Joyce gave her this haircut, she undeniably looks like Joyce. She is wearing Hopper's flannel, but her clothing style also looks similar to Joyce's, just like her hair.

Eleven has obviously been kidnapped by the “bad men”, probably government agents for Hawkins Lab. From her facial expression and lack of movement, she isn't struggling or trying to get away from their grip on her, and that the black van behind her has its doors open and she is facing away from it, which means they probably just took her out of the van. Her facial expression indicates she is looking at something, full of disbelief and confusion. The tan ground and blue sky tell us this is obviously California. It was confirmed by leaked set pics of Joyce and Jonathan's cars license plates that the Byers move to Cali. I have a theory Dr. Owens/the gov. paid to re-locate the Byers to keep a low profile for Eleven, or at least gave them some money to use to re-locate to a place far away from Hawkins, because Joyce can not afford the kind of house they are living in there in Cali by herself with the kind of job she previously worked.

The second image of Eleven in the lab could be a memory/"time travel flashback", or it may not even be El, it could be another test subject that just looks like her, since they all did have shaved heads, but I feel like the person has very similar facial features to Millie, so it is probably Eleven.

The Hawkins group:

We have Nancy, Steve, Robin, Max, Lucas, Dustin and Erica left in Hawkins to investigate what is going on there. They are in the Claremont house, rumored to be "Vecna's lair" (the rumored new monster in s4)

The group appears to be looking at the grandfather clock, but we don't know for sure.

Usually all the couples are visually paired together in shots (which is especially prominent in s3) but here in this shot Max and Lucas are not standing next to each other, and in the bike riding shot they aren’t riding next to each other either. Max and Lucas are always breaking up and then getting back together in s3, so I wonder if them not standing together and not riding next to each other indicates a more permanent break up between the two.

Max is also at the center of the formation, and everyone stands around and behind her. I have a theory Max will be more central to the plot this year in discovering whats going on in Hawkins. Steve also appears to be looking directly at Max, as if he is reacting to or going to respond to what she is saying or has been saying.

Max, Dustin, Lucas and Erica riding their bikes could be them running away from something, rushing to get somewhere to deliver news/show up to something that's about to happen, etc, we really don't know.

The Dice:

The number 7 can be seen as one of the prominent numbers in the middle of a dice roll during a D&D game with the hellfire club. The number 7 is associated with Will and Mike, but also could allude to the "Eleven are you listening?" teaser where a puck was dropped on the number 7. 3 and 5 are also prominent numbers here.

I think the hands with the ring is Eddie or another new character. Neither Mike or Dustin's hands look like that. The person sitting next to him could be anyone. This person is seen wearing a hellfire club shirt, and we have seen everyone we know to be confirmed members of the club - Eddie, Mike, Dustin, wear this shirt in bts pics.

Hopper:

This shot is most likely of Hopper in the Russian prison, using a flame thrower as a weapon for his escape, or to defend himself from someone/something.

The car on fire:

If you slow the teaser down to 0.25x speed, you can see the mysterious figure is walking towards the flaming car, approaching it. This means this person was most likely not in the wreck. Although it would make sense for it to be Joyce's car because she drives a Ford Pinto which was an extremely flammable car due to design flaws Ford neglected, the back of the Ford Pinto is rounded, and this car does not seem to have a rounded back. During the scene in the woods in s3 after Joyce and Hopper kidnapped Alexei and Hopper's car won't start, it blows up. Joyce makes comments about how she could have died in the car explosion, which could be possible foreshadowing.

The mysterious figure appears to be a man, I'm guessing a young adult/teenager based on the stripes on the sleeve of their shirt - it just feels like something a teenager would wear, not a middle aged adult. My bet is that this figure is either Will, Jonathan, or maybe Mike - just based off of the body shape of the figure and that they would fit the age group.

The one thing we know for sure from this picture is that the car explosion happens in Hawkins. The skinny, tall trees that can be seen on the side of the road, only grow in certain places, mainly in the southeast of the US, and the Hawkins portion of ST is filmed in Atlanta, GA where these trees grow. These kinds of trees can’t grow in New Mexico where the California portion is being filmed, and definitely not in Lithuania, where the Russia portion is being filmed. In the show these trees only appear in Hawkins, Indiana. These trees are seen during Hopper's letter - when the Byers drive past the "Leaving Hawkins" sign. The slight curve in the road right where the skinny trees can be seen is very suspiciously similar.

Chrissy:

Described as the most popular girl in school hiding a dark secret, Chrissy's death/disappearance will probably be what sparks the suspicion, action, mystery, of the Hawkins storyline. It will be the event that triggers the Hawkins group to investigate what's really going on, and if the upside down is back again in Hawkins.

Steve under water:

He seems to be looking for something, it's unclear what, why, or exactly when in the season this scene will occur. Water has an underlying significance in the show, and last year the stranger writers account kept tweeting reminding everyone to drink water, and tweeted that Steve wasn't drinking enough water. There's definitely something going on here with the water references. That tweet about Steve not drinking enough water could allude to his possible death/serious injury. Steve is a popular contender to die this season, but I wonder if/when Steve dies, Dustin will also die because of the comment he makes in s3 to Steve saying, "If you die, I die."

For the love bomber thing, it seems like it’s a part of his behavior. I’m like that because I would focus on a person for two weeks to a month with affection then I’m out because I lost interest in them or the spark fizzled out so quickly. For me I think it has to do with compatibility, if I feel like you don’t fit with what I want for my future then it’s pointless. He probably was doing that even with relationships that lasted more than 6 months, and he will do more so in the future especially if he wants to follow through the whole laser focus thing. It’s not really an excuse for me, him, or anyone else who has that sort of behavior for that matter lol. I also feel like any relationships he had in the past didn’t last because (if the breakups were initiated by his exes) they didn’t know how to handle him, like you said with the whole hot/cold thing. Him breaking up with them most likely has to do with lack of interest.

Although JS is almost unique situation for the assessment because I’ve heard (not sure if it’s true) that she made fun of his anxiety, and CE being a homebody annoyed her?

Then we’ve got the whole dogs eating chocolate situation, which could be a reasonable answer for the breakup if she was very unsympathetic about the situation itself. (If my bf was unsympathetic about the situation, sorry but we’re done.) I think when it comes to his past relationships…JS is a complicated matter.

Sorry for this commentary, I think it’s really interesting to analyze his behavior and his past relationships even if we’re wrong.

As too JS and his anxiety... you know, there's some little asides she would put out there, and if you squinted and tilted your head, yes it seemed to be about his situation. But then, again, it all depends on your take on it. The fandom at the time was really happy to read everything she said or did in a negative light and as her disrespecting him. I don't think it was, but I also don't think she had the type of personality to be patient with someone with sever anxiety.

One tweet, for instance, that I found off-putting:

Summary+TWs: We're talking serious feelings here, okay? Reader, you're literally emotionally illiterate. You also have PTSD, which is finally addressed - kinda. Bruce does his best. And he also knows how to kiss... But y'all know that if you read my ramblings about lucid dreaming/shifting/whatever... Chile-, anyways...

My phone kept buzzing and I ignored it until Bruce declared it was time to take a break and review the results. Whilst the man was typing up the data on a nearby StarkPad, I fought the sudden influx of messages that I received from haters and supporters alike after Tony decided on tweeting a reply that could be interpreted in an alarming variety of ways. It was a smart move, I'll admit, but a fucking bother for me nonetheless.

Disabling my DMs and dealing with a follower increase in the thousands wasn't hard; I didn't consider myself a problematic asshole and didn't need to be afraid of "exposure". The parties I went to - I doubted there was any blackmail material in there and the few nudes I'd sent over the years were always face-less. As a gen Z, I knew my internet safety.

The trolls didn't bother me either. It was more sad than annoying, people shitting on others for clout. Iron Man stans were witty, at least, if jealous. I must admit I've never considered the influx of popularity I would experience should I publicly out myself as a friend of Tony's. Girlfriend? Intern? Science child? Whatever cover story he was going to feed the press worked for me, as long as I still got the hugs, the kisses, the dick and the attention.

"Tony..." Bruce groaned, evidently done with the data processing, had to have opened his social media to see his own skyrocketing popularity.

"Yeah, our Tony is being a Tony again," I chuckled, having reset my social media settings so my phone wouldn't constantly beep, vibrate and bother me. School was going to be fun.

Bruce shook his head, fond, coming over to my side of the lab after removing his own hazmat suit. His eyes shiny with newfound knowledge and hair turned adorably fluffy in the confines of the head covering. He was smiling softly. "Food?"

"Sure."

We chewed our sandwiches in silence for a moment, each of us lost in our thoughts.

"I still can't believe Tony told everyone on Twitter you're his girlfriend, usually he keeps this stuff private or schedules a fancy press conference," Bruce's tone was thoughtful.

I raised an eyebrow. "Is that what it was? Seemed ambiguous to me..." I trailed off, confused.

"He worded it like that on purpose, I mean, you're still in high school," The scientist was confident in his words. "But I know Tony. I'm a hundred percent sure that he meant exactly that. Aren't you?"

Shock flooded me. Suddenly, I understood I completely misread the situation. "Um, no? I thought we were, y'know, just fucking. We never defined our relationship and we're definitely not exclusive." I said, chewing on my lip. "You make a valid argument, I'm a high school student and he's a grown ass man that does grown man stuff. Putting aside the fact that he could have anybody in the world so why would he choose me?" I was rambling, thinking out loud. Discussing my feelings has never my strong forte. "It would be stupid to impose monogamy on such a complex man like Tony. Downright idiotic to expect a genius to confine to social norms just because it suits others." I finished with a wave of my hand. Another bubble of thought that had festered within me for the longest time. I felt relieved, finally voicing it out loud. A weight had been lifted off my shoulders, a weight I wasn't previously consciously aware of.

Bruce was watching me intently, with an unreadable expression that held the tiniest bit of awe, admiration perhaps. The silence that followed was unnerving. I fidgeted with my hands, not really knowing where to put them or where to look.

"You know," He took off his glasses, fiddling them in his hands. "I'm not going to sugar coat it. For the longest time, I thought you were going to inadvertently hurt him when you get bored with whatever you've got going on. I respect you, don't misunderstand me, but you are young. Now, I've changed my mind. You've changed my mind," He punctuated his statement with his hand on mine, grasping it. "I think you managed to understand him in a way most people can't. Or don't want to. Understand and accept him in a way that some of us can't even after years of working and living side by side with him." Bruce's gentle fingers skimmed along the top of my palm.

"I don't always understand Tony but I do accept him," I agreed. "Because Tony is a great man."

"I think you're in love with him," Bruce said, absolutely having ignored my previous statement. Just like that, point blank, he pushed to the surface the very feelings I got so good at ignoring. There was no rest for me in this place.

My heart fluttered, picking up the pace. I kept my mouth shut, not trusting it whatsoever. My thoughts became akin to panicked hares, jumping and zigzagging aimlessly in my skull. I didn't see the point in defending myself because the scientist had pointed out the obvious.

Bruce looked at me, softly, warmly. "And don't think we haven't noticed the rise in team morale. The improvement not only in communication, but on the battlefield, too. It's easier to entrust your back to someone with whom you've shared a laugh and a drink the previous night. You're the glue that keeps us together."

Something warm and wet was on my cheeks. I stared at our clasped hands, his words echoing in my head over and over and over. The moment I realized I was crying, I willed myself to stop and failed spectacularly - only more salty fluid streamed down, some of it getting in my nose, on my lips. The sleepless nights were making me unstable.

It took a single sniffle for Bruce to pick me up and wrap up in his kind embrace. I didn't resist, tucking my face into the crook of his neck, holding onto the back of his lab coat, inhaling the smell of his skin and chemicals. It was familiar, calming. Minutes ticked by with me slowly leaking the tension out of my body.

"He loves you, too, maybe he just doesn't realize it yet." Bruce whispered into my hair. "I've never seen Tony so happy, even with Pepper. You are special and you are loved."

There was something unsaid, I felt it. It hung in the ear, it burned the tips of my ears, stood sharp on the tip of my tongue. "I love you too, Bwucie-bear," I whispered into the space between his ear and his jaw. His arms tightened around me.

The man placed several chaste kisses in my hair, running a palm over my back. In moments like these, the crush for him, the very crush that got out of control, blossomed fully into a deep sense of respect and admiration. He made me feel safe. He said all the right words at the right time.

Drowsiness overtook me. As usual, any worries and anxieties I had evaporated, once Banner had his arms around me, shielding me from the world. I didn't forbid myself this time: delicately, my hand slipped through the man's soft messy curls, eliciting a contented sigh.

"You haven't been sleeping well," He more stated than asked.

I had no choice but to nod. "Clint keeps dying in my dreams. Or even worse, he doesn't, he just suffers, endlessly, painfully." I admitted.

Bruce flinched under me, tensing. My face was in between his hands in a second, the scientist sternly looking into my eyes. "Why didn't you say anything? All of us assumed you were okay after what happened." He looked - angry. Not Hulk-out pissed but Bruce-pissed, which equalled a kicked-puppy look seasoned with a great pinch of disappointment.

"I am okay." I lied, shamelessly. "It's getting better. That's why I want to have a party - relax a little, dance, socialize. I don't think Tony would let me go on my own so I figured I can convince him to throw one here." I looked away. It was better for everyone if I dealt with my own problems - they were superheroes, not babysitters.

Bruce frowned. "Why wouldn't Tony let you go?"

"Because of that one time I snorted coke," I rolled my eyes at Bruce's naiveté, leaving the less obvious parts unsaid. Tony knew exactly what I was going to do once I got free reign, he considered it destructive and told me so himself. Admittedly, he had a point but still... I wished I'd been given a choice.

"I'll talk to him," Bruce nodded firmly. "That's not acceptable. He can't forbid you from making mistakes and learning from them."

He was met with my shrug. No excitement came from me regarding this particular turn of conversation. I was drained, limbs like jello, thoughts sluggish. My face was drooping.

"Let's get you to bed," Banner stood up with me wrapped around him. "You need a nap."

"No," I protested. If I went to sleep now, only Satan knew at what ungodly hour I would wake up.

"Yes, Princess," Bruce smirked. I wiggled uncomfortably - when he went all caretaker like, my ovaries wreaked havoc on my body and brain. My thoughts weren't appropriate if Bruce wanted me to see him as a father figure. The signals he was sending were mixed. People around me did that a lot and I wasn't sure how to act so I usually just went with the flow. I decided to do the very same thing in that particular moment.

Curiosity sparked within me, tightly interwoven with the deep longing that settled below my collarbones whenever Tony or one of the others wasn't sitting next to me or talking my ear off. I've almost forgotten how it was to be alone with my thoughts. The maze of my very own self was becoming unfamiliar territory. Alarming.

I allowed Bruce to help me shed my shoes and outer layer of clothing, shivering in the coolness of my room. Despite being a frequent visitor, I still had a 'guest' room in the tower - I mostly stayed at Tony's or Wanda's anyways. During our sleepovers neither me nor the witch minded sharing her enormous bed, to be fair, we could have fit at least two more people in it besides us. Tony took care of his own - all the tower's residents had their apartments furnished with the best stuff.

"Sleep now, Princess," Bruce chastised, tucking a blanket around me, having noticed an earbud in my ear and my smartphone in my hand. I had hoped to kill some time online, damn well knowing sleep wouldn't come easy.

"I don't think I can fall asleep, Bruce," I admitted, looking away. There was just so much going on. My brain wouldn't shut up and if I couldn't drown out the cacophony by being productive, I'd troll the internet, as usual.

Banner sighed, coming to sit next to me, leaning against the headboard. Gently running his fingers through my hair, brushing the outside of his palm against my cheek. "How do you usually deal with this?"

Involuntarily, my eyelashes fluttered. "Tony does most of the work," I admitted coyly. The engineer had a whole arsenal of tricks up his sleeve - sexy and exhausting tricks.

"I see," Bruce muttered, thoughtfully.

I opened my eyes to see him looking down at me with a look I haven't seen before. The usual mildly absent, slightly anxious face he wore was replaced by something I could only describe as hurt envy, like a kid looking at their schoolmate who had all the newest, coolest toys. I used to be on the receiving end of that look far too often and I hated it.

I hid my face against his leg, rubbing my cheek on the raspy corduroy fabric of his pants. "Got any good ideas of your own?" I wondered lowly, thinking about what in the world possessed Bruce to wear corduroy trousers on a semi-casual day, in the twenty-first century.

"Only bad ideas," He replied in a matching low tone. His soft fingertips relocated to my nape, goosebumps rising down my back.

"Humour me," I grinned against his leg.

Bruce was quiet for a moment, the sound of his thinking screaming louder than any words could have done. Knowing the scientist so closely, I found out he was full of surprises - bolder than he appeared outwardly and competitive to a boot. He thought he had a lot to prove to himself and by extension, to others. The unknown, the mystery dangling in front of my nose was exhilarating, trepidation addictive. It took me away from the chaos in my mind.

A gentle grasp on my chin had me turning to look upwards, Bruce's face flushed and focused on my own, open and trusting. He needed to see the obvious, that I trusted him to take care of me. He pulled and I followed, sitting up on my elbows, coming up to his shoulder level, our faces inches apart, enveloped in the unique, intense scent of his herbal tea. It was a tart, strong smell and it suited his quiet but passionate character.

Once, twice, I caught my eyes sliding to his plump lips. They looked far too appealing in this position. I usually strategically stayed away from positions so compromising, fearing the very thing that I'd already let happen, however this time the atmosphere was different. We stood on ambiguous grounds, waiting for Bruce to make a decision.

The man wasn't stupid, he saw the way I looked at him. The nightmares and inability to take a break from life put a significant dent in my resolve to keep a distance between us, romantically - I could have settled even for a pity kiss, a pity fuck. Anything to put my brain on pause.

His lips were softer than I had imagined. Skilled, too, he easily steered the kiss into the shallow waters of our combined longing.

With Tony, it was like an avalanche. Tony ran hot like Peterbilt engines, hard and fast, almost angry in his race for satisfaction. Tony was a man that was used to getting whatever he wanted and it became plainly obvious when we fucked.

Bruce was the opposite. He savoured the kiss, losing himself in a way that could almost be described as delicate. Bruce was humming, softly, as we tasted each other, holding the left side of my face with careful fingertips. Almost as if he was afraid to break me. The feel of his skin on mine was soothing in a way that made me sigh and relax even further.

"Wanna make you feel good." His voice had dropped, gone husky, but his breathing held even. He must know all about self-control.

"Yeah," I was ready to agree with whatever the fuck he was offering. My eyelids remained shut.

Clarice's Story - Season 2

I recently finished Clarice's canon route in Season 2, and I'm currently replaying Season 3 to give myself a refresher on Seb and nail down the details of Clarice's story in that Season. So this will have a Part 2, but I want to write out the decisions made that ultimately led to The Least Satisfying Ending of Season 2™, and the reasons behind them that are informed by her past and personality. I know I care more about this than literally anyone, but I'm doing it anyway. So let's get started!

Before the Villa

Raised by Ursula, a famous actress with Antisocial Personality Disorder. She was very loving to Clarice, but wanted her to grow a hard shell like she did.

Ursula gets a participation trophy in parenting for trying her best, but alas, Clarice has severe anxiety that she can't properly express.

Didn't have any friends before going on the show.

Clarice applied for the show with the hope of finding someone nice, though she had very low expectations. She expected all the girls (and fans) to hate her because she went in planning to be ruthless. She was very aware that her mother will be watching, and wanted to make her proud.

Day 1

Friendly to Hope right off the bat - No reason not to be, right?

"I need to look after Number 1." - Clarice isn't underhanded. She tries to be as honest as possible, and this is no exception. The girls need to know where she stands.

"I'm more the quiet and mysterious type." - Outside the Villa, Clarice is much more reserved due to her upbringing.

Picked Noah - He's handsome and doesn't try some cheesy line right off the bat.

Objected to Hope picking him immediately - First day and she's already been screwed over. Her pride is hurt, and she's not going to take this lying down.

Thought Bobby was nice, but there was blatantly no sparks there. He didn't even step forward. She gave him no illusions that she's interested, and flirted with Noah and the other boys at every opportunity. Prioritized grafting over making friends.

However, she welcomed Priya and condemned Lottie for being unnecessarily nasty.

Clarice didn't make any outright enemies except Hope for stealing Noah.

Participated in Lottie's celebration of the Moon - Strategically important to be civil with the girls of course

Day 2

Stayed friendly with Priya, and tried to be with Lottie

Confronted Priya for stealing Bobby - Yeah, she didn't like Bobby herself, but this was the second time she'd had her partner stolen. She was angry and embarrassed.

Day 3

Helped Hannah during breakfast and encouraged her to toughen up - This isn't Friend Island.

Told Rocco to pick her - It wasn't enough to steal Bobby back. She didn't even like him. But there was no chance of getting Noah back from Hope. Rocco was her real second choice on Day 1, and taking him helps her save face.

Told Hannah that Gary won't choose her - She thinks Hannah is totally naive, but has been friendly thus far and respected her couple.

Day 4

"If there's no spark, you've got problems."

Insisted Gary apologizes to Marisol

Grinded on Noah during the Slime Challenge - She's not sure if she's actually interested in him yet, or if she's just trying to piss off Hope.

Spoke up for Priya doing the same thing, and ignores Lottie

Tried to keep the peace between Lottie and Priya, and helps them resolve the issue - It's easier to live in the Villa without needless drama. Clarice's anxiety is hiked up enough as it is.

Day 5

Clarice went down to the pool alone to meet Lucas and Henrik - Why wouldn't she?

While she never cheated on Rocco, she did connect with Lucas like she never had with anyone before. She found him charming and kind and admired his humility despite his obviously posh background.

She definitely suspected Marisol and Rocco having a thing, but hoped he would talk to her about it before acting on it.

Day 6

Clarice was furious about Rocco kissing Marisol during the Kiss and Tell challenge.

She confronted Marisol afterwards, but wasn't aggressive about it. Marisol was by far the girl she's closest to in the Villa at that point. Despite feeling hurt, she wasn't about to ruin the start of a genuine friendship over a man.

Day 7

Worked with Lottie to ice out Rocco, but does agree to speak with him privately.

She was honest about why the girls were upset with him, and unleashed a bit of fury upon him.

Helped Noah win Mr. Love Island - She started to genuinely connect with him and found him very sweet, even though she thought his devotion to Hope was over the top and completely irrational.

Day 8

Extremely worried about the Mean Tweets challenge. She's had more than her fair share of Mean Tweets outside the Villa. She was worried how she came across to the public. She was even worried the producers would throw in one of her mother's.

Oh yeah, Ursula livetweets every episode.

If I had to include one of her tweets in the challenge, it would be:

"It's like Bobby isn't even trying"

She hated that Lucas went home. He was the one person besides Noah that she could see herself having feelings for.

Day 9

Confused by why Lottie wants to get with Gary, but doesn't say anything discouraging. Agrees to not pick him at the next recoupling.

Picked Noah to go on the date - They turn out to have great chemistry, and Clarice was even hopeful that she might be able to choose him at the recoupling.

Clarice fell back on picking Henrik after Hope chose Noah. She didn't see herself with any of the other OG guys.

Day 10

Clarice agreed to work with Priya on Operation Nope - She wanted to be with Noah, and this was the perfect opportunity to really crack on with him. Obviously she knew that Priya fancied him too, but may the best woman win, right?

She didn't tell anyone about ON.

She actually related to Hope acting snappy out of fear, but Hope's insistence on focusing on her rubbed Clarice the wrong way. She tried finding a common ground, and Hope ignored the gesture. She used that as (very poor) justification for...

Clarice kissed Noah. She knew they were having a moment, and went for it. She regretted it after he panicked and left.

Clarice dodged Chelsea's first hug - Why would she want a total stranger touching her without asking?? Though she sort of regrets it in hindsight, because of how close they are now.

"So he's just going to pretend he's innocent then?"

Day 11

She downplayed the severity of Lottie's kiss with Gary - "Hannah only knew him for 3 days." Besides, she's not a hypocrite who would condemn someone else for doing the same thing she did.

Said no to helping Bobby and Marisol resolve the conflicts in the Villa - She didn't trust herself to not make things worse. If things get better, then they'll get better on their own.

Brought Hope the hot chocolate - She knew she was one of the biggest reasons Hope was miserable. They didn't get along, but Clarice never did any of it to hurt Hope. That being said...

She refused to apologize - That's not the kind of woman Ursula raised. She needed to remind herself that she is her Number 1 priority.

Clarice barely interacted with Jakub. He was never her type.

She did apologize to Henrik. She had an obligation to communicate her feelings to him, and didn't. So she apologized. She told him that she fancied Noah and wanted to pursue him, and they broke up.

Bobby was the one to come comfort her and start grafting. She shut it down pretty quickly.

After Marisol asked about it, Clarice told the truth and that she wasn't interested in him. Marisol asked who she is interested in, and she told her Ibrahim just to put a stop to the conversation.

Day 12

Clarice eavesdropped on Noah's conversation with Priya. She was so excited that Noah said he had feelings for her, and that it was all worth it.

No secret of Clarice's was exposed during the Down in Dirt challenge. But if Henrik had opened hers despite her insistence not to, it would've read:

"Clarice was once escorted out of her own great-aunt's pub."

Clarice insisted Priya apologize and make peace with Hope, but refused to back down herself after it came out that Noah wanted to pick her.

"Priya stirring the pot and getting away with it. Can't say I disapprove."

Day 13

Clarice ate the whole cake. Canonically. I don't care, it's one of my favorite parts of the game.

Clarice coupled up with Noah at the Disaster Recoupling.

She was so excited to finally be coupled up with him. She savored every kiss and every touch. That was it for her.

Day 14

Said goodbye to Noah before sneaking off to Casa Amor

The only guy who caught her interest was Kassam, but he clearly wasn't interested, so she never acted on it.

Arjun was basically the leftovers from the other girls, and he seemed like he would be respectful of her space, so Clarice ended up with Arjun for the entirety of Casa Amor. (Even though he didn't give her nearly enough space for her liking.)

Day 15

Clarice didn't volunteer for any extra Villa vs. Villa challenges.

Clarice insisted on remaining loyal to Noah throughout CA.

She enjoyed getting closer to the girls, but was otherwise very reserved.

Day 16

Clarice indulged in Lottie's tea reading, but refused to believe it.

Clarice was shocked by the video the girls received, but still refused to believe Noah would go and sleep with another girl. He wouldn't do that to Hope, and he wouldn't do that to her.

She tried to comfort Hope the rest of the time there. Hope was obviously still upset about the Disaster Recoupling, but she appreciated that Clarice had remained loyal during CA.

Day 17

Clarice spent breakfast with Kassam. She really enjoyed it.

Clarice stuck with Noah.

Day 18

Obviously, Clarice was hurt by Noah bringing back Blake.

Ursula had this to say about Blake's "trying so hard" comment:

"The cheek of this one. Good luck with your career after this, babe."

Looking back, she regards it as karma. Something she deserved.

She didn't really know how to handle it. She kept her distance from Blake as much as possible.

Agreed with Shannon that you get what you deserve in the Villa - She thinks about this conversation often, especially after how she finished the season.

Helped the girls figure out what happened while they were away, and sort of regretted it after...

Noah went back to Hope. Clarice's grievances were ignored and criticized. She was frustrated and hurt.

Clarice saved Elijah from the dumping. She thought maybe she could start to move on from Noah with him.

She said goodbye to Priya, and sort of hated Bobby for letting her be sent home.

She had her first anxiety attack at the Villa that night. Gary and Chelsea were the only ones who knew about it, because they were the ones who stayed up with her until she calmed down.

Day 19

Confided in Chelsea and Shannon that she wished she could've been with Noah

Rather than Shannon teaching her how to read body language, Clarice challenged her to another game of 2 Truths 1 Lie, claiming Ursula raised a perfect liar. (She lost. But Shannon said she should try poker.)

Day 20

Scrambled eggs! It was the only kind Ursula could ever make.

Clarice was nervous about the arrival of Elisa and Jo. Although Jo seemed friendly enough, and Elisa was someone she briefly worked with before.

Didn't agree to talk to Ibrahim for Shannon after the double dates - Shannon needed to talk to him herself. And if he lies, why waste your time with him?

Insisted that Jo be given some space; Defended Chelsea while disagreeing with her actions

Day 21

Had to take multiple breaks from the girls day out - Good lord the fighting was exhausting and nerve-wracking

Helped Hope untangle the mess

Laughed out loud when Jo called her a people pleaser - "I might just be adopted then!"

"A people pleaser! Good on you, love!"

Legitimately almost cried when Chelsea called her amazing??? And when Hope praised her for taking the high road??? She might actually be a good person????

Got the girls to all make up

Cooked 🌟creamy garlic pasta🌟 for the group with Elijah

Started thinking she might have a chance with Noah again

Day 22

Asked Elijah to choose her at the Recoupling - Gave no promises that they'd be the next epic love story

Pining for Noah...

Agreed to help Rahim ask Jo to be his girlfriend - Mainly for Noah's sake, because they're best friends

Went shopping with Elijah - Got Jo's nachos, chocolate, and blanked Elijah's flirtations

First pillow fort!

Grinded on Noah's lap during the Heartrate Challenge, then went to Elijah

Day 24

Excited and relieved to have Lucas back!

Hugged Hannah upon her arrival - Overall, she was proud of Hannah for coming back more willing to get what she wanted.

Named the spider Todd

Reassured Lottie about Hannah

Clarice reassured Elijah after her date, but went up to the terrace and kissed Lucas.

Later at the party, she went back and slept with him. - After he came back, she thought maybe she was finally over Noah. She can be with Lucas and finally be happy in a couple. And she definitely rushed it.

Day 25

She told Elijah everything, and she felt horrible that he was more into her than she was into him.

Confessed to the girls after

Obviously bombed the Happily Ever After challenge

Clarice was left to couple up with Lucas.

Day 26

She was noticeably distant from Lucas - She wrote it off as guilt for cheating with him, though she was still happy to be coupled up with him.

Lottie's snide comments about her cheating made her distance herself from Lottie too.

Became Bra Sisters with Chelsea! And made up a handshake!

Lost the Couple Trouble challenge, so she and Lucas didn't go on the date in the Hideaway

Talking to Gary about his body image and therapy inspired her to go to therapy herself once the show was over. She really related to him when he said this:

Helped Marisol pack - Marisol was still one of her closest friends in the Villa. And she honestly thought it should've been her and Lucas going home.

Day 27

Babies? P A N I C M O D E!!

Clarice does want kids in the future, but doesn't trust herself to not fuck them up.

Very irritated by Lucas's refusal to help with the baby. It stressed her out more than it really needed to, so their unsteady relationship took a hit.

The beach break was a relief. And by the end of it, she was really happy to have made actual friends on the show.

Sent Ibrahim and Jo home - Sure, they're a better couple, but Chelsea is her emotional support bra!

Day 28

Finally got to talk to her mother. She "praised" Clarice for not letting "peer pressure" stop her from getting the guy she really wanted. (It was really a reminder that she still doesn't have him, and she should still go for him. However, what Ursula called peer pressure is what most people consider respecting relationship boundaries.)

Felt awkward talking to Lucas's family

Said no to being his girlfriend at the Final Date - They hadn't been together long enough, and his text conversation with Ursula was fine, but cryptic.

Privately relieved that Noah hadn't asked Hope to be his girlfriend yet

Day 29

Dress shopping was... An experience. She's definitely not unfamiliar with formal wear, but she spent a long time deciding who she should dress for. She ultimately chose a dress she knew Lucas would like.

Hopeless at dancing. She never got any of the steps right.

She tried to be as lighthearted with the speech as possible - She has a hard time opening up, and really, there wasn't many deep feelings to express for him.

Jumped in the pool

Sent Hannah and Elijah home - It was a tough decision, and it came down to Lottie and Gary's relationship being stronger.

Went up to the terrace with Noah, but she decided she was done with him leading her on, struggling to make a decision. She ended it once and for all, as opposed to sleeping with him.

Day 30

Still reeling from the night before

Helped Chelsea make breakfast - She told Chelsea that she wasn't feeling confident in her couple and their chance of winning.

Clarice and Lucas made it all the way to the end, but Noah and Hope won Love Island.

Lucas acted happy to be with Clarice until they went back to the Villa for the After Party. Then, he dumped her. - Clarice was furious, but she felt as though she absolutely deserved it.

Noah decided it would be best if they stayed away from each other.

Clarice told Hannah about what Lucas did, and Hannah promised to give him hell. That solidified their friendship for after the show.

Clarice pulled Chelsea aside, Chelsea nicked a bottle of champagne for them, and confessed everything to her. Her thing with Noah, his lingering looks, the terrace, Lucas acting for the cameras, everything.

Clarice went home with her mother. And cried almost the entire way to the airport.

After the Villa

She faced backlash for her actions in the Villa, but the Islanders she befriended came to her defense.

She had a long talk with Hope after everyone had a chance to watch the season back. It was a miracle Hope and Noah won, considering how much of his time with Clarice had been included in episodes. Hope broke up with him shortly after, and she and Clarice started to repair what they could. They agreed that they absolutely would've been friends if Clarice had made different choices. But for now, they're just being civil.

Ursula apologized for all the biting remarks about people in the Villa, except Noah and Lucas.

Clarice managed to keep her from running a full on smear campaign against them.

Clarice started therapy, and even got anti-anxiety medication.

The producers of Love Island offered her a second chance.

I've tried arguing with hellers, but their hate is so unfounded and illogical, it's just not possible. I don't have the energy anymore. Their claims can be easily discredited, their purposely misinterpretation of Jared's words would be laughable, if they weren't so malicious. They're a cult and they're seething, because Jared is thriving. Even under those beautiful Walker gifs, you find those cockroaches and their negativity in the notes. This is supposed to be OUR space and OUR time to enjoy the (Walker) fandom without their poison, they already ruined so much of what I loved about SPN. But no, they have to give 1-star reviews on IMDB before the show even started, they had to accuse Jared of horrible things, they have to try to ruin it for us all. I wish I didn't, but I grew to hate them. Thank you for your positivity, it helps me. Sorry for dumping this on you, you don't have to answer me. I'm blocking everyone too, maybe it'll get better in a few years.

I find it funny that they hate Jared but spend all their time talking about him. Their entire hivemind personality is just hating Jared. That’s it. They have no depth, just wake up, hate Jared, sleep, repeat. They make sure to quote tweet his tweets, show up in his mentions on Instagram and Twitter, and just say nasty things all the time. You hate the man, why are you paying attention to him on social media?

The last time I saw a tweet made by M*sha was when he said that disgusting thing about raiding the C*pitol building because everyone and their mother made fun of him for being a bitch in heat in every D*stiel fanfic, lmfao. I avoid that man on social media because I do not want to engage. I do not want to see his face, or his (horrible) opinions and tasteless humor. I do not want to see hoards of 16 years olds quote tweeting him “YESSSS KING” and “WE KNOW YOU’RE SEQUESTERED WITH JENSEN IN THE MOUNTAINS” because there is only so much of that I can take.

Actually I lied. The last M*sha tweet I saw was yesterday where he shared a picture of some mountains and the hellers decided that out of all the mountains in the US, he’s with Jensen on the mountains that Jensen has been staying with his family. Yeah. These people are insane.

But these people have made hating Jared their obsession. It’s literally all they do with their lives. If I don’t like an actor, I don’t pay attention to their social media. I ignore any and everything involving them. I don’t want to feel that negativity that I feel when I see them, so I choose not to see them. To waste all your energy on hating someone... it’s so pathetic to me. I want wholesome content, I want to see the faces of the people that spark joy in me. I don’t want to seethe with rage when I see someone. That’s no way to live.

“I wish I could draw like you” / “I’ll never be as good of an artist as you” are two of the worst kinds of ‘compliments’ an artist could get, yeah! Degrading yourself isn’t going to uplift anybody, so it’s a good thing you stopped! Most people including myself just don’t know how to respond to those sorts of comments because in the end, the ‘compliment’ turns into a comment that begs for validation (which isn’t bad, it’s just not the right way to get it)

But anyways!

I had a discussion with my friend about the talent thing right after that tweet, actually! We agreed that calling someone ‘talented’ isn’t inherently bad! It means that some things are naturally your forte, but what matters is what you accomplish with the talent you have!

So I guess if you want to call someone ‘talented’, you have to pair that with something else too! For example, ‘You’re so talented and skilled’... I’d think of more examples but it really just depends on the situation imo!

If you’re an artist, the easiest way of coming up with compliments is thinking about what you personally want to hear from someone yourself. If you want someone to point out specific details of the piece you drew that they enjoyed, then you should naturally do the same.

Artists generally love getting comments, especially if it’s more than just “I love this”, “This is cool”, etc. But!!!!

Usually, it sparks joy when you show that you paid attention to what the artist is conveying in their art. Something like “I love your line art, the weight is so fine!”, “The shading is so crisp, I love it!”, “This pose is so cool and dynamic!”, etc etc.

I get overjoyed when people point out all the things they liked about a piece I made or they gush about moments in my webcomic, that sort of thing gives me so much drive and motivation and strength, and I’m certain other artist’s do too!

I’m not saying that you should write an entire essay if you want to compliment an artist, but if you genuinely want to support someone you like, then it’s usually best to tell them what specific parts of the piece stuck out to you in a good way (usually saying ‘I love’ in the sentence will let them know that you aren’t criticising)

Which brings me to things you totally shouldn’t do omg... 

Obviously putting yourself and your skills down is a no-no. That’s rude, and you’re making things uncomfortable for both parties.

But the other thing I personally don’t like (and probably many others) is when people go ‘What’S uP wiTh (insert body part or anything really) 🤪’. Unless the artist specifically asks for criticism, keep it to yourself. 

A lot of people say that whatever you post to the internet is up for criticism or whatever, but it’s unwanted. Nobody asked for it. It’s not even a compliment (but apparently people think it is???)

Otherwise, I can’t really think of anything off the top of my head . . . I hope this helps! I might add things later if it comes to me . . . 😔

hear me out: BURN THE VILLA.

i always start with rocco but kiss and flirt with the others every opportunity i get. after so many playthroughs i felt i deserved a little treat, and this one route i did was honestly the best!

so, let 's begin!

day 1 i choose rocco. truth and dare: noah. kiss rocco after if he's into it. pay the 5 gems to meet the second boy that's gonna chase you. i really don't pick anyone specific and sometimes will close my eyes when tapping the order of the boys on the first pick. i enjoy the surprise lol

every time one of the boys flirt or ask for reassurance, i'm openly flirting. i like hurting rocco and earning his side thing with marisol. besides, my mc doesn't care about it and even calls lottie out when she's angry about it.

slime challenge: i go bananas on everyone, catch every color, really go for it! and when being called out i always shrug and give the "i don't care" type of response.

whenever gary wants a kiss i give it to him. because my mc is living her best life in this one! besides, i side with priya to make lottie mad, mostly because she's being a hypocrite before casa amor.

when lucas and henrik enter the villa i flirt with both. it's simply too fun to not do it! when we go to the firepit i sit in between them and do my best to make them feel welcome. at the date i give everything to both, because there's going to be some angst once one of them leaves. it's just that little *spark* of extra flavor.

the tweet challenge is the perfect opportunity to spite everyone and call them out, especially lottie and hope. no one escapes this route, not even the girls.

when rocco leaves i share the bed with lucas/henrik. usually i let lucas stay in the villa because he's so prone to drama himself.

every time there's an opportunity i call the girls out. it's the pot calling the kettle black and it's fun to see them squirm when they're on their high horse. again, at the beginning, every girl has something going on for them on the side. lottie wants gary, priya wants noah, hope wants lucas and marisol wants rocco, so it's fun to just air the dirty laundry every time i can.

when choosing someone i go for gary. especially after telling lottie i wouldn't. it's her and lucas being extremely disappointed but this is not the time for pity.

operation nope is the apex of the first two weeks and of course i go for it. blatantly flirting with noah before my mc kisses him. again, this is my reward for taking everyone's shit in other playthroughs.

now, because i go for noah, he's gonna choose my mc and i'll definitely kiss him and say this is what i wanted, only to play around and flirt with ALMOST everyone in casa amor. carl is my main guy but i flirt with kassam as well! i just want lottie to regret herself on every gary playthrough *shrugs*

when coming down to the choice i bring carl. not that it matters who comes from casa amor, they all turn into the same person except for a couple of answers on challenges, so... not much loss there.

BUT, when hope asks me who i want to choose me, i say it's bobby. he goes for it because the decision is ours and that's great. we have elisa and jo coming in and i only throw gasoline in the fire when the altercation between shannon and jo happens.

after all that, i continue to give everyone else the time of day. on day 24, when henrik and hannah come back, i tell henrik i'm into him. i don't cheat on bobby though and here's why: if you do you have no other alternative but to stay with henrik, and what i really want is to kill jo's spirit. so i go for ibrahim at the last recoupling, after ending things with bobby after the challenge.

and yes, i do go for both chats on the roofterrace with noah and end up hooking up with him on day 29. it just makes sense ya know? why stopping?

because it doesn't matter what you do you always win, i choose to steal the money but i also don't go for noah either. my mc is alone by the pool at the end of the night, but she was the most popular character in the entire season, cause a stir every time she could and i honestly think she would live her best during those 30 days!

Woah, no pressure or anything! That's a lot of responsibility, I'd probably run out the door! lol

It's difficult to say, as fans we don't know what's going on behind the scenes, y'know? We don't know their thoughts and feelings regarding the public demand aspect of their job, there might be reasons they don't do things. Our opinions are just outsiders perspective. However, if I were suddenly dropped into one of those positions (is advisor the right word? Manager? Or is that something different?) I'd probably do this:

Louis: He's not signed atm so... Get him signed I guess? Also have him do a collaboration, his album I think was too personal about his life gain any new fans. So my second box on the checklist would be to try expose him to more of the general public. I'd personally choose Yungblud (and also MGK), but Louis likes Brit-Pop, so maybe Stormzy? But I think Yungblud or MGK would have a heavier swing to it. Also a second collaboration with an older British artist, I'd say Noel Gallagher but I doubt he'd do it, but someone of that sort. Gives him a bigger range to appeal to new fans.

Liam: I'd advise him to get a new team. Like, grab everyone he has right now, and dump them in the trash. Find an agency that actually knows what to do with a music artist. Liam did so well to begin with, then he got internet backlash for a load of things, which he didn't know how to handle (or his useless team) which set him back. Next I'd want to try getting him actually making music again. He did loads of writing and melodies for one direction, maybe try sparking his creative side again. Maybe a collaboration, I think Liam enjoys working with other people, so why not? I'd pick Post Malone.

Niall: First off, I'd tell him to quit searching his name on Twitter lol, he looks for and replies to tweets that mention him without being tagged in. Secondly, I'd say to try find a better balance between his professional and personal life. When he's in a relationship he tends to... disconnect with his fans? Obviously it goes without saying he deserves a wonderful personal life, but he becomes quite distant when he gets in a relationship. It's pretty jarring because he flip flops from one side of the scale to the other. So, yeah, find a little balance.

Harry: Firstly, his merch. Like, what. The. Fuck. Is that shit?! He's the face of Gucci and his merchandise is... That. Really? Clearly his merch team do not care, because those people went to university to have all these design qualifications, and the best they could do was slap his album, and/or name, and/or TPWK, on a basic t-shirt and call it a day. And then Harry looked at it and went, 'yea'. You could literally get anyone off the street and they would not only have the exact same idea, they could literally buy a blank t-shirt and have his album, and/or name, and/or TPWK, printed on it themselves for a lot less money. His whole vibe right now is 70's/80's fashion, there are so many cool ideas with that for merch, but no. Secondly, just like, something to show that he's still Harry, not just Harry Styles™. To me he doesn't have an actual personality anymore, outside a celebrity or fan mentioning how nice/polite he is.

Zayn: Just literally acknowledge some of the shady stuff he's said and apologise. Also maybe stop using his Twitter as a billboard, I'm here to see him not whatever company is paying him for adverts.

Lastly:

One direction: Pfft. Who knows? I'd love to have any idea whatsoever, but let's be honest it's a mess. In a perfect world the guys would actually be interacting and hanging out, because doing anything with the one direction brand kinda requires the members publicly being on friendly terms. Even with Liam and Louis talking more recently, it's not enough to build up anything relating to one direction. Even just updating their logo would a) get too many fans hopes up for ultimately nothing, and b) strange considering it's quite publicly known that the band isn't exactly... on great terms to say the least.

I am curious why you don't like het pairings across the board since I ship both het and same sex pairings . I understand LGBTQ+ peoples' desire to see themselves represented in media , but I think that when it comes to fandom people tend to fetish same sex pairings especially mlm pairings and bashing female characters that get in the way of their ship.

I’ve done my fair share of navel gazing about why I hate 99.9% of het in media since I was a teen and I could write a long list of reasons that probably influence my preferences, like gender essentialism, the vast vast vast majority of creators being men influencing how they write women + het relationships in ways that offend me, the fact that it’s the default and my interests are often influenced by spite, the rote way it’s usually written, i hate 99% of the tropes that are usually associated with it, the fact that irl I have 0 interest in engaging in a hetero relationship myself and therefore can’t relate...

but yeah ultimately I don’t know or care or think it matters lol, the vast majority of het ships just do not spark joy for me.

I just like, disagree with the rest of your ask lol, sorry. And I know this is a very standard take in fandom so I’ll try to explain why I disagree. I appreciate you asking politely Anon and I’m hoping this doesn’t come across as too annoyed or anything - like I’m annoyed by the discourse in general lol, not by you specifically.

In my experience in online fandom the most female character bashing I’ve seen, and the most vicious, has come from fans of rival het ships, and regardless I don’t particularly consider “bashing” fictional characters to be much of an issue. The problem is when people do so in offensive ways (eg “she’s a slut” or w/e lol), and then the issue is people believing and saying offensive shit, not people hating fictional characters, and the focus should be on general awareness of what misogyny (among other oppressions) is and how to avoid perpetuating it in all areas of life, and not on declaring groups of fans problematic depending on which fictional characters they do or don’t like.

And sure, some majority m/m fans do bash female characters, and some do it in offensive ways, but I don’t think it’s at a rate higher than other het fans, or even f/f fans in the few fandoms with rival f/f ships ime, so it bugs me that people act like it’s an m/m fangirl thing.

I also think fandom discourse wildly misuses the term “fetishizing.” Fetishizing, in yk oppressor/oppressed contexts, means to reduce someone down to a single aspect of their being in a way that dehumanizes them. And like 99% of fanfic does the opposite, shipping is all about being invested in and exploring characters as people (or trying to, bc lbr it’s amateur fiction and writing fully fleshed out 3 dimensional people is a skill that amateurs can’t necessarily be expected to have perfected, which is a big reason discourse focusing so hard on problematic fanfiction is a waste of time lol). Someone who isn’t a gay/bi man getting turned on by imagining 2 dudes fucking and writing a story about it isn’t automatically fetishizatizing gay men, even if it’s a straight woman doing it, even if it’s 2k words of sex written to turn readers on.

Fetishization doesn’t necessarily have anything to do with sex - it can, but it can also be sexless. For instance, a gay character showing up in one episode of a sitcom to make limp wrist jokes, or a gay character showing up in one episode of a drama to die of aids and make you sad, is fetishization. Conversely a pwp about say Guts and Griffith fucking after a battle or something is almost guaranteed to have more care and consideration for the emotions involved and characterization, because the people who are inclined to write that are already invested in the characters as characters rather than generic gay stereotypes.

Fic writers can write offensive/homophobic/fetishizing things just like anyone else can (and having het ships as well as gay ships doesn’t make someone less likely to write homophobic things either), but the way fandom discourse reduces everything to wide generalities is less than useless imo, the key is to address actual specific behaviours, like the aformentioned “I hate X female character” vs “X female character is a slut who doesn’t deserve Y.” The former is a non-issue, the latter is a symptom of ingrained misogynistic attitudes.

Anyway ultimately I think fanfic is like, the least useful thing for media oriented discourse and activism to focus on for various reasons including the lack of reach and impact fic has, the lack of systemic quality control, the fact that fic writers aren’t pros and aren’t getting paid, the fact that fic writers aren’t pros and shouldn’t be expected to have the talent required to convey difficult subjects in completely inoffensive ways even if their personal politics are beyond reproach - because it does take straight up writing skill as well as understanding, the fact that fic writers have no industry power or influence, the fact that the vast majority of fic writers are marginalized in some way themselves (and misogyny against real women should always take precedence over misogyny against fictional women), the fact that many are just teenagers, etc

tl;dr I don’t think women preferring to ship m/m is inherently problematic, and I don’t think the current state of online discourse is equipped to even address the cases when it can be problematic lol because nuance is virtually impossible in unmoderated spaces where reblogging/tweeting divorces something from context and twitter posts and tumblr asks have a character limit and vague non-specific hot takes always get more clout and notes than carefully considered nuanced discussions and essays - and amateur unpublished writing is so unimpactful in the grand scheme of things that it barely matters anyway.

I am literally sick with anger.

So, for those who don't know, California is burning again. A fire sparked Thursday morning up near Chico, was 8,000 acres by midday (when I walked out of my office to go get lunch, took one breath, looked up, and went "oh shit, how close is it this time?" because of how thick the smoke was), almost 20,000 acres by that night, and as of this morning was nearing 100,000 acres. It's only about 5% contained last I looked. There are nine confirmed fatalities, 35 people missing still. The town of Paradise, population a bit under 30k, is just...gone. Like, the whole town. 90% of the structures in that town were destroyed. The fire came through so fast, people had to abandon their cars on the gridlocked streets and run for it on foot. I've heard that this is the most destructive wildfire in California history. It's Really Bad - worse even than the Sonoma fires last year.

And guess what the fucking fascist occupying the fucking White House said today?

First of all: Our forested land? More than half of it is under management of the fucking Feds, not state agencies. We don't GET to manage SHIT, you towering lump of human excrement. If mismanagement is the problem, look to your own, except that you seem to like that kind of incompetence so you'd probably praise them for it.

Second: You probably don't know this, because you haven't heard it on Fox and Friends and we all know that's your only source of education, but California is one of the 13 "net payer" states that fucking subsidizes the rest of this fucking country. On average, most states get back about $1.20 per dollar of taxes paid to the feds. This is only possible because of states like California, who actually pay MORE to you useless fucks than you send back our way. So don't you fucking dare act like you're pouring money into us out of the goodness of whatever passes for your "heart", giving you any right to judge what gets done with it. That flow goes the other fucking way.

Third: You ignorant, lying sack of assholes, shut that fucking prolapsed anus on your face masquerading as a mouth. Wildfires will always happen, to some extent, in a climate that's as dry as ours. But they've definitely gotten worse within my lifetime, and it's accelerated over the last few years, and you wanna know why? It's because of you and your fucking cronies who have gleefully driven the global climate into the ground. It's a coastal desert, sure, but our regular droughts have gotten worse and worse, rain comes later and later and stops sooner and sooner each year, setting the stage for red-flag fire conditions that take what should have been a small blaze, quickly contained, and whip it into a monstrous disaster consuming WHOLE. FUCKING. CITIES. And that? Is LITERALLY YOUR FUCKING FAULT.

I am sitting here in tears, shaking and ready to throw up from the force of my suppressed, futile, useless rage. People have DIED, you fucking cunt. A whole fucking town that was here two days ago is GONE. Just fucking gone! The whole town is gone, do you understand that? The survivors have lost EVERYTHING.

And your first response is to sit there and smugly tweet these lies and that victim-blaming horseshit? You're going to sit there and try to make this about the money? Take this opportunity to try to kick us while we're down, because you're a bitter soulless creature who can't pass up a chance to put the boots in when you see someone who's defied you in a moment of vulnerability?

I am personally going to throw the biggest fucking block party in history when you finally fall off the face of this planet.
