Salza x Reader HCs (The Basics)

SFW!! My interpretation.

Salza is absolutely a romantic, and in the traditional sense as well. He knows how to treat a partner and make someone feel special. Between surprise small gifts, uninterrupted quality time, attentive listening, and making the effort to engage in soft and intimate moments, he really does know how to act. He loves to give glass flowers as gifts, and go on long and carefully planned out dates. He knows his work can certainly be in the way, but that won’t stop him from valuing you as he believes you should be. 

His love languages are quality time and physical affection. Gift giving, words of affirmation, and acts of service all come after, in that order. Don’t get me wrong, he’ll do it all, but he does have go-to ones. He loves to spend time with you, and often engages in showering in you whatever love you’ll let him. He enjoys holding hands, but even more likes to lean you onto him and hold you if you’ll allow it. He cares about your boundaries though, and will never push you to accept his default expressions of love. He likes to kiss your face as well, and never leaves without a proclamation of adoration and a kiss to your hand. He does like to make life easier for you, and would not hesitate to hire someone to take over your duties or to supplement your living, if you even slightly indicated that was something you’d enjoy. 

When Salza realized he harbored genuine romantic feelings for you, he had to take a day to process it. He was a bit distracted in his work, and while he got it done, his mind wandered to if it was a real and genuine thing. He actually went to talk to you after the day was over, and really pondered how he felt as you two spoke. After the evening was over, he determined that how he felt was true, and he wouldn’t hide this from you. He did value you deeply, after all. You won his heart, and he wanted you to have it like a trophy. 

After he made this decision, he began to give you little thoughtful things and express more steady enjoyment of your time. He also made sure to spend more one-on-one time with you, and plan for hang-outs that could be easily defined as dates. He waited to see if you seemed to enjoy him and his time like he did yours, but eventually did end up spilling his heart out to you before you had the opportunity to inquire properly. 

His view of you is simply stated in “his beloved”. He admires you in a way, and always values your time. He thinks of you as a true life partner, which does mean that he thinks you are the right person to tackle all challenges with. He’s ready to pledge himself to you, to go through thick and thin. Not unlike a peculiar little knight. He adores you deeply and everyone around him knows it.

He likes to give generally small gifts unless you ask for otherwise. Glass roses, sentimental jewelry, self care items, hand-written letters (sometimes even poetry), and so on. He really likes to pick gifts out. But, he’ll easily drop large amounts of money on a gift for you if it’s something you’ve expressed desire for. He values you and the things you care about, so taking the time to listen and act upon a little of your wish fulfillment is never something he hesitates to do. 

When he first got to know you, he simply took the time to listen to you talk. He likes to do that, to give you his full attention and hear you when you speak to him. He also enjoys making sure that you know he remembers. But aside from that, he asked a lot of questions and waited patiently for answers. He thinks the best way to know you is for you to tell him yourself, but he never minded sitting or waiting nearby while you did things. That also taught him a bit about you, your routines and all. 

Salza deals with most emotions pretty well. He manages to process things in a mature and reasonable way, without lashing out too often. In his job, that’s a little different, but he doesn’t really hold the same conviction in his regular state of being. He likes to think things through, and both rationalize and experience what he feels. He thinks it’s the easiest way to do it. He can shut down his emotional responses in certain situations, but tries to keep that in the workplace rather than outside of it.

He certainly says “I love you” first, and he damn well makes sure it’s drilled into your brain before he’s done. This being said, he doesn’t say it excessively, maybe twice a day on average. When he leaves, and before he goes to sleep. And sprinkled in otherwise. He thinks you need to know, but also really only does it when it crosses his mind to. He’ll also say it back whenever you say it to him.

To make him feel valued, you really only need to give him quality time. He does deeply enjoy physical affection too though. Combing your hands through his hair, or letting him hold you, make him feel very cared for. Most acts of affection you show will work though, as he can easily register them as what they are even if they’re not his ideal ones. 

Salza is someone who will do quite a lot for a devoted partner. He would throw himself into quite a lot of danger for you, and get his ass kicked if need be. He certainly would kill for you, and any material item you wanted is not off limits for him either. When it comes to defying Cooler, you may only get a little bit of that. He doesn’t like when his strongest loyalties conflict. You can talk to him about a lot, he’ll take the time to hear you out and truly consider your request. Asking him for change isn’t hard. 

A proper conversation is all it really takes to get Salza to see your side. He’s not bad at understanding things, and does try to keep an open mind for you. He doesn’t like when things have to escalate to be discussed, but your emotions won’t be invalidated by him regardless. Tears can certainly move him, but not as much as you may expect. 

I actually think that being with Salza wouldn’t really ruin anyone? Not too much anyway. He might be able to make your morals a bit worse, but he’s a good partner and does have some sense of care. You can certainly soften him a bit, and while it’s not enough to break what he does, he will hear you and is willing to change for you, too. 

His way of showing off is actually quite silly. He loves to show you how smart he is. He knows you’re aware of his power and capabilities, and he’s content with that. But he really wants you to know how smart he is. Between switching languages, teaching you random things about obscure places and times, and so on, he wants you to see that he is a bit of a package deal.

Cell x Reader HCs (The Basics)

Cell is a romantic, but he’s incredibly unhinged with how he expresses it. You say, “I like flowers”, he hems up a botanist to get you the rarest flora in the world. You say “I like cats”, he brings you to the cat shelter after whispering to the staff that if they interrupt your date, he will ruin them. That sort of stuff. He loves to please, he thinks he should be able to do so always. He’s perfect, after all. He is very much a material giver, but he certainly doesn’t stop there. Compliments do come somewhat naturally to him, and he doesn’t often compare you to himself. He instead compares others to you, and explains their shortcomings and where you stand above the rest. He loves dates. Any chance to show off is prime “time to spend with my s/o” time. 

His love languages are easy to see, gift giving and words of affirmation. But quality time is something he often gives, and physical touch is not far behind. He loves to give you things or experiences that he makes sure are unique in one way or another. He believes it’s a great way to leave his mark on your life. This being said, taking the time to tell you about your value to him is something he picked up over time. He knows the value of spoken word, and cannot simply praise himself knowing that you are not given that same praise in some way. Look at that, he has a heart. He enjoys having physical contact with you, but it’s not entirely ‘romantic’, if you will. If you’ve got hair he can touch, he’ll touch it. He also enjoys touching your face, and resting his hands on your shoulders/arms as he walks with you. Directing your gaze himself is not something that’s particularly uncommon with him. He loves having dates, as previously mentioned, and takes time to ensure they’re almost habitual in timing.

Cell’s behavior didn’t change much upon realizing he had romantic feelings for you. He did a brief mental double-take, but quickly grew to accept it. He was actually quite amused by it, all things considered. All this did was confirm that you were special to him. He continued his general routine, and when he saw you once again, he greeted you with more vigor than usual. This was the extent of the change in the moment, but he grew more fond and forward with you. 

The hints that were dropped were less hints and more vague statements indicating how he felt. “You are unusually alluring to me.” “You are unlike the rest of these idiots, you know that?” “Careful now, don’t go making me like you too much more,” and so on. He’s a bit flirty, honestly, and does enjoy making passing comments. He does this before and after being in a proper relationship with you. 

He views you as basically the “perfect partner”. You are his new ideal, and he doesn’t believe that there’s anything to change about you in the slightest. You are held in such high regard, and he needs you to remember this. He tells you often. He brags about you, and wouldn’t hesitate to verbally (and physically) eviscerate someone if they even slightly indicated disagreement with his words. 

Cell’s gifts are always thoughtful, but they vary in substance. He likes to gift experiences, so he will pull whatever strings are needed to get you that thing you wanted. Whether that’s a quick trip to a store, or overthrowing a government with his bare hands. He likes to get you things that are rarities as well, finding them to be more ‘your style’. He really does just want the satisfaction of knowing that whatever he got you was appreciated and valued. Anything you can imagine, you will get. You can imagine how birthdays go, can’t you?

He learned about you in totally normal ways. By staring at you, searching through databases to learn more, observing you doing your hobbies when he spent time with you, and asking questions as they came up. He was always sort of curious about you, upon realizing he liked you enough to have you around. So, he’s just been gathering information since he’s come to that realization. He’s a fast learner. 

Cell doesn’t “deal” with his emotions. He experiences them in a relatively dulled way, and unless it pushes him off of his egotistical pedestal, he couldn’t care less. He’s not hugely sentimental anyway. If he is hit with something that overwhelms him, he tends to reinforce his cocky attitude to try to compensate for what happened. He doesn’t like to be caught off guard, and if he is, he tends to lean more into whatever occurred to try to stabilize his behavior more. Even when it comes to vulnerability. That phrase, ‘fake it till you make it’ applies quite a lot here. 

He does NOT say “I love you” first, but once you’ve said it to him, he will likely return the sentiment. He doesn’t say it very frequently, but if you say it to him, he will say it back. He’s just not really the type to say it, I suppose. 

The things that make him feel valued are words of affirmation. He really does like to be told things, and would rather hear something in passing than receive nothing from you. Acts of service aren’t things he cares for, and he’s not particularly keen on getting gifts, but quality time and physical affection are things he does feel somewhat valued by. Mainly because he understands them as viable and reasonable acts of love. He doesn’t really find much value in material things, nor are there things you can do “for” him. 

Would do literally anything for you. Between his ego and his dedication to being perfect to you, he will not say no to a task if you ask him with a “please”. You just have to ask nicely. He really doesn’t care for demands, but if it’s something said within the heat of the moment, he may actually do it for you without more than a passing teasing comment. You can ask him to do the worst thing you can think of, and he wouldn’t hesitate. He’s morally bankrupt in that way. So long as you’re pleased in the end, he couldn’t care less what is being done. 

Cell cannot be made to properly reconsider a situation or decision without proper prompting. Pleading may do something, but even then, he’s someone who’s set in his ways. He needs to be bargained with. Even tears won’t always win him over. You have to know how to pick your battles with this guy.

Honestly, I don’t know how much having a good partner could improve him. If he cared enough, he may make the choice to change on his own, but you could not force your hand and get him to properly behave. He, on the other hand, could probably make a partner worse through his nonchalance towards most everything. Being around him too long doesn’t seem like a task for the weak-minded. 

When it comes to showing off, Cell has that in the bag. Everything he does seems to be an act of bragging. He always aims to impress. He is perfect after all (smh). He believes that you should see his skills and capabilities at any chance, and doing things for you means he can make sure you’re viewing it front and center. His physical prowess and ability to get things for you/keep you satisfied are things that he believes should impress you most. So he will showcase those sorts of things constantly.

Hey anon! I deeply appreciate your inquiries.

You CAN request a specific gender for the reader, but it generally won't change too much in the writing. Only the types of compliments you may receive, or how you may be referred to in the 3rd person. Sometimes if it's really specific, it'll change the scenario itself, but otherwise it's just a tiny additive. I try to keep everything as gender neutral as possible, because that's how I like to read my headcanons.

I do write them! It's case by case, and must come hand in hand with a viable scenario so that I can properly write it. You just have to ask.

You can request a character that's already been done, so long as you have specifics to it. I'll simply add to the basic set of headcanons they start with. But I'll only get to it after I finish everyone else. I want everything to have a chance to shine!

Frieza × Frost, SFW hcs

Frieza is generally the one pulling the reigns between the two of them.

Frost is more inclined to physical affection than Frieza is, but Frieza has become more adaptable with it this being said. They don't really hold hands or anything like that, but you can certainly find them perched together judging others, practically attached by the hip.

Frieza likes to bring Frost places and treat him to things. Frost likes this. They have a good dynamic, in the manner that they match each other's preferences. Frost likes luxurious things, especially handed to him. Frieza, he likes to show off. So, it works.

Frost often wraps his tail around Frieza's when they're in close proximity. It's not dissimilar to holding hands for them. Frieza doesn't push him away or anything, so Frost considers this to be a little bit of intimacy that they share.

Frieza has a bit of a cat personality, and while he's not super affectionate all of the time, he is sometimes. And when he is, he really, really is. Frost likes this a lot, and the two of them end up spending plenty of time together when Frieza's feeling a bit more clingy.

Frost likes to listen to Frieza brag. They actually do it together sometimes, back and forth, talking about all of the things they have and can do like a little competition.

Frieza likes to compliment Frost. He often speaks of his capabilities in a high regard, specifically to others. To Frost, he compliments his looks and speaks of his invaluable place by his side.

Frost, for all of his preference in physical affection, is surprised when Frieza allows him to hang off of his body. He generally expects the tyrant to push him away, and is always pleased when he doesn't.

They have fancy dinner dates together. If anything goes wrong, Frieza blows up the owner of the establishment. And Frost watches, because he does in fact love his ruthless boyfriend.

Frieza's favorite thing about Frost is a tie between his cunning intellect and his willingness to listen. He enjoys the mind his partner has, and values his thoughts. Their conversations bring him enjoyment like no other. On the other hand, Frost isn't so hard-headed as to dig his heels in when the two of them have differing opinions. He'll voice his thoughts, and be willing to compromise. Frieza really, really likes that.

Frost's favorite thing about Frieza is his confidence and how he gets basically anything he wants. He loves to see Frieza in his element, as it brings him to feel more confident in himself too. Frost feeds off of Frieza's vibes. But, he absolutely adores watching Frieza pull strings and tear down walls to get what he wants. Seeing that, he feels confident that the two of them can in fact do ANYTHING together. It's a good feeling for him.

When they sleep in the same bed, they curl up in a way not dissimilar to cats. They stay close to one another, using tails to wrap around each other. They both consider the other a suitable weighted blanket.

Frieza hates the idea of Frost meeting his family. He believes they're going to corrupt Frost, or something like that- he has a very weird mindset on it. Maybe he just doesn't like the idea of Frost liking anyone in his family half as much as Frost likes him.

Frost wants everyone to know that Frieza is his partner. He's so prideful about it. He adores telling people and makes sure everyone knows. He brags.

Frieza loves wine tasting dates with Frost. He always begins them by gifting Frost something new, before taking his hand and bringing him to where their date will take place. Frost never refuses, as he does value the times that they can simply enjoy one another.

Frost really likes spontaneous and extravagant dates. He likes to occasionally drag Frieza away from his work, and take him on a joyride to someplace random where they can get lost in the moment together and splurge excessively.

Two evil boyfriends. What evil will they do...
