KBTBB High School Headcanons!
Eisuke - I’d say Eisuke probably had straight A’s without trying. He was every girl's crush at school. All of the teachers loved him, giving their best reviews on report cards. Though, didn't have many friends, despite talking to a school day’s worth of people. The people he did call friends were just those he believed would benefit him in the future. You know the anime, “Haven’t you heard? I’m Sakamoto” basically, he’s a kid who’s perfect. Always ten steps ahead, girls love him, guys respect him, teachers admire his grades, that type of thing. That’s Eisuke. He avoids conflict and is always a step ahead. Pop quiz? He knew about it a week before.
Soryu - When you first see him you think he’s a bully, which is attractive in a way. Turns out he’s just a quiet kid, though there’s definitely an abnormal strength about him. The person everyone fights to get on their team during gym class. Decent grades, probably would get a B in math if it weren’t for the teacher being scared of him. I can imagine him holding a lot of pain in, especially with his home life. Unapproachable, to say the least. Only has one or two friends at most but keeps everyone at arm's length. He’s, surprisingly, not the fighting type however I can see him getting into one fight if he saw a girl being bullied.
Shuichi - Him and Eisuke are constantly battling for top marks. Everytime one gets an A- the other mocks them for the entire week. Unlike Eisuke, Shuichi actually studies. Some could argue he doesn’t need too, but still does. His desk is always clean, and his notes are perfect. The teachers always entrust responsibilities to him. They even joke about having him as the principal when he’s older. Probably the type of kid that puts a lot of pressure on himself. That, and he just grew up having high expectations set on him. Doesn’t date. At all. He denies every girl that tries. Has been labeled as an “impossible catch”. Believes studies comes first and would break his concentration.
Ota - Ota is the popular kid. Everyone’s friends with him. He’s always hanging out with someone. One day it’s the drama club, the next it’s the art club. Did I mention the art teacher loves him? He doesn’t do the best academically, but his art teacher is so impressed, she offers to write a college recommendation letter. Again, everyone loves him. He’s the type of person a fight would break out over in the cafeteria, because everyone wants him at their table. Between him and Eisuke, the girls can’t decide who they want to date first.
Baba - Baba is the playboy all the girls warn each other about. At last, between his dashing smile and adoring personality, almost every girl has fallen for him once. People probably think he rides a motorcycle. He doesn’t, still, he gives off friends to lovers vibes. Despite his efforts, he always gets dumped due to his flirtatious nature. If anyone were to get pregnant during high school, the chances of him being the dad are 9/10. Quite responsible though. Takes accountability and helps his girlfriend through it. Supports her decision and promises to marry her, if that’s what she wants.
Mamoru - Mamoru is the kid who barely anyone knows. He sits next to you yet, if someone asked, you’d deny that he was in your class. He’s either not in class or sleeping/barely paying attention. They call him “Big Bromoru” because he acts like everyone’s big brother. “Shouldn’t you be doin your homework instead of talkin in the halls, eh?” Literally to random people in the hallway. Though, for some reason, it makes him admirable. No one dares say anything rude back, knowing they’d have the whole school as a target. He’s respected by all the kids there, even if he isn’t very noticeable.

( @reubyrp - Codename Payday has joined the heist!!!)
Thursday... knows exactly why she's here.
To have fun, of course!
How could she possibly pass up the opportunity to leave the boring offices behind to rob an arcade vault?! There's absolutely no way she could! So here she is, chatting away with some lady while she leads her into the basement to where the others are waiting.
"-just made him even more angry, apparently, I guess he didn't like the compliments I gave him? Which doesn't make sense because who doesn't like compliments? Especially because I was complimenting his suit! And how quickly he put it on! And the way it like matched the glass of red juice he was drinking. Well it wasn't juice, it was some kind of wine I think, but I'm not an expert on wines so I don't know if that's what it really was, it was some kind of red, fancy alcoholic beverage that he had stored away specifically for the occasion of someone pressing the 'on' button. Same with the suit. But it was still a nice suit! Right? So anyway, he got tired of me talking and just decided to blow me up, but he lost in the end because he got turned into a sword- Hey! Is this them? Hello! Thanks for bringing me here!" she says to the lady and then she's off with Lester and the others.
Thursday can't help but giggle when the others provide their codenames, especially Doomsday. "You know, that's funny, I have a friend with the same name, ehehehe. I'll bet she'll be tickled to know once I tell her, hehe. So does this mean I need a codename too, then? Hmm. Can I go wiiiiith... Payday? Or is that too similar to Doomsday? If it is, I'll come up with something else."
When the instructions are being given, Thursday puts in the earpiece and tries her best to pay close attention. She has no idea what to expect out of all this. Heists and going apeshit are more Doom's (her Doom's) forte, so she's a bit out of her element here, but this still all feels like some silly first person game to her. She can't wait to tell Eisuke about it. He'll get a kick out of it for sure. Or maybe he'll scold her for partaking in criminal activity. On second thought, nah, he'll think she's cool - it's Etsumi who will scold her. Well, she'll just use some of the money to get him something cool, like a new heating blanket or something.
Oh shit. Her mind wandered off there precisely like she was trying to will it not to do and now she's missed part of the instructions. There was something about there being options in there. Three of them. Sneaking around and wearing uniforms and busting in with guns. Now shooting people is definitely not something she's up for. She doesn't want to hurt anybody, let alone murder them, she just wants to get in there, be stupid, and take things out of a big metal door, that's all.
Grinning, she points to the photo of people in armored security uniforms. "The Big Con, please! You know, I used to be a Narrator, that means you gotta make shit up as you go, right? I can definitely do that. I mean, it's definitely not as easy without an extraterrestrial parasitic mist helping you to manifest items and heal your wounds and whatnot, but I think I can work with this. What are we wearing now? You said disguises? Okay, whatta we got?" she asks, rubbing her hands together and looking eager to get started.

Hello, not to bother you or anything, but can you do a post about how the audition managers would react to MC being annoyed and irritated because they have to wake up? No pressure!
hi!! dw youre not bothering at all <3 also i havent written smth in a long time so pls bear with me i was on like a hiatus. as @cupidocherie says and i quote "eisukevint comeback 2023 ???" anyways i hope you enjoy this headcanon!
Prompt: Tres Spades’ hosting an important event which requires you to put in extra hours, more so than other employees. The fatigue from the overtime and your disrupted sleep schedule has caused you to be grumpy and your boyfriend is not helping.
↬ Eisuke Ichinomiya
You've been working overtime for an entire week now and your body is exhausted. Not to mention Eisuke's libido is unparalleled so you're having a rather rough time to catch up with him. One night, Eisuke comes home to find you already asleep. He doesn’t mind though because he knows how how you’ve been working hard. What he didn’t expect was the morning after. There you are, still asleep even though there’s only ten minutes left until your shift starts. Not to mention, he can’t function properly without his beloved’s coffee so he goes to wake you up. He’ll call your name lightly at first but that doesn’t work because you’re a heavy sleeper so he’ll try shaking you a bit causing you to huff and puff and turn away from him in annoyance. He’s mildly surprised but also finds it amusing because you almost never forget to make him his coffee. “Hey, (Y/N), wake up. It’s almost 9:00.” At that you’ll whine causing Eisuke to chuckle. “What about my coffee though?” You glare at him slightly and tell him to drink room service coffee for just one morning. He’s fully aware that you’ve been labouring arduously for his sake so just for you, he’ll suck it up and survive through the day without his precious coffee. You just looked so adorable pouting at him like that because you didn’t want to get up, he couldn’t help but give in. He’ll let you sleep throughout the day and call Kenzaki to tell him that you’ll be taking a few days - no scratch that, a full week off so your fatigue can wear off. He’ll order room service for you and write a note, telling you to eat once you wake up. Let's be honest, this man loves cuddles so he’ll cuddle you to your heart’s content.
↬ Soryu Oh
This man would be flabbergasted. He wakes you up so you won’t be late to work but almost staggers when you glare at him exasperatedly. He’ll be worried at first because where is his sweet and beautiful (Y/N) who always wakes him up with the most charming smile on her face? He’ll ask you what’s wrong because he for sure thought it’s that time of the month and you might be in pain so he’s kind of relieved when you tell him that the event being hosted at the hotel caused her overtime and she’s super tired. “Oh, i’m glad it’s not something serious.” Pats your head and tells you that he’ll make breakfast for you and there’s no need for you to get up. It’s a little too late when you realise what Soryu had said. Hurriedly getting out of bed, you dash to the kitchen and bang your head against the wall when you see what went down. There you see Soryu in front of the cooktop, a mess from head to toe and God knows how many cracked eggs in the dust bin. He smiles sheepishly because he’s very well aware that he just increased you work load. No worries though, he’ll still help you clean up and tuck you into bed after it’s all done. He’ll call Samejima and tell him that he’ll come to the ice dragon’s headquarter later in the day so he can make up with you with cuddles. He’ll eventually get in with you and give you little pats on the back so you can sleep peacefully. might call eisuke to lesser your work
↬ Mitsunari Baba
Baba’s back from one of his missions. You’re still in bed though and it’s rather unusual because by this time you’re getting ready for work. Ponders over the reasons that are keeping you from waking up. In the end he decides to prepare breakfast for you. Egg and toasts, sunny side up. He brings the breakfast to you like the magical, fictional boyfriend he is and wakes you up. Your mind swirls and you can’t think straight since your peaceful sleep’s been disrupted. You raise a hand to swat him away and tell him to buzz off. He’s all pouty because you pushed him away but nevertheless, he tells you to have breakfast. Helps you sit up and offers to feed you to which you happily oblige. He adores you so much. Your grumpy face is his new favourite thing. He texts Eisuke to let him know that you’ll be taking the day off. Snuggles you and peppers your face with kisses until you fall back asleep.
↬ Mamoru Kishi
One of the world’s greatest mysteries, how did Mamoru Kishi manage to wake up earlier than you? He checks your temperature, it’s normal. Then why are you still sleeping? He checks the clock and it’s time for your shift. “Get up, it’s nine. Don’t you have to go to work?” This little shit has woken you up from your peaceful slumber and you’re absolutely livid. “Shut up Mamo, I can’t. One more day and you’ll have to arrest me for murder.” He doesn’t show it but he’s actually worried about you. Probably guessed that you’re just tired from work. He’s like, “Aight, i’ll call Eisuke then.” Gets into bed with you and spend the entire day sleeping. Later when you wake up, you’re full on panicking and chanting ‘he’s gonna fire me’ so Mamoru saves you the trouble of apologising to devil boss ichinomiya. When you’re fresh and done with dinner, you tell him all that has happened and why you were so worn out. Hugs you and tells you it's alright. You both end up going back to sleep. couple goals fr
↬ Ota Kisaki
A fucking tease. He saw the opportunity and took it. There you were, sleeping in all your ethereal glory, with drool trickling down the corner of your mouth. Ota simply couldn’t resist. Phone out, camera on, he took pictures from every angle possible. He would’ve been the biggest idiot if he hadn’t captured this moment. And when he’s satisfied, he wakes you up. Oh no he didn’t. If he called you his cute Koro before, you were surely no less than a dinosaur right now. Hair flying in all directions, eyebags darker than Soryu’s soul and drool marks on your mouth. “OOOO SOMEONE’S CRANKY.” There’s no break with this guy and he’s certainly not helping right now. First of all, you know you have to go to work so your mood deteriorates progressively and then this guy makes matters worse by showing you those horrendous pictures. You chase him around the penthouse to strangle him once and for all and he’s laughing like a maniac. Eventually you get tired so you give up. All the fun aside, he worries about you so he covers you in his fluffiest furry blankets and kisses you on the forehead. Cuddles you so you sleep warm and tight.
aight, i hope you like this! eisuke one is so self indulgent lmao.

The dynamics of the duos are so damn funny to me, like Aoi and Emari are just two besties who can't decide on where to hang out cuz they were never allowed to make any choices in their lives, Syouga and Reika are just two clowns trying to get a raise from their boss Haru and Harlow are the child that calls their parent to help cuz they're a pushover but the parent is a pushover too, Genki and Saki are just two people who don't have any energy or motivation to do anything so they just stare at a celing in awkard silence while having several depressing thoughts and Eisuke and Akari are a step-father trying to warm up to his step-child but she just wants to skin him alive.

Time for Black Impact! Otherwise known as the time Shinichi almost got himself and Kogoro killed, proving that Shinichi is putting both him and Ran in danger by just being close to them and that his piss poor excuse of protecting Ran by hiding his identity doesn't work.
I don't like how they claim that Ai "escaped" by using the drug as if she expected to be shrunk by it. Ai was trying to kill herself, and she's done so many times because she's so afraid of the BO that she believes this is the only way to actually escape from them. Just a pet peeve of mine.
And it starts off with the BO sniping so Akai's sniping skill can be highlighted at the end of this episode!
The BO really hate this Kevin Brown person.
If that's the women going to be killed... well she should treat those who work for her better.
"EverytimeI see someone use a cellphone, I see Vermouth," That is what I call a trigger, Shinichi, because it was a traumatic experience you went through.
And the chewing gum with a transmitter that starts it all is placed!
Kogoro can you not handle children who you don't know so roughly. And the children you do know, actually.
...and there's the foreshadowing for Eisuke T-T I don't really care for his character, considering he's really only around to give Shinichi a "romantic rival" with the plot reveal that he's related to Hidemi as well.
I don't know how Shinichi has gone so long without being found out as telling them they're going tropical land in the rain was just dumb.
Also I'm glad Ai came along because this is her fight just as much as it is Shinichi's and she's there to be the voice of reason when he's too thick-headed to realize he's being stupid.
At least he realizes that they're in a really bad situation and that he needs to get the transmitter as soon as possible.
Shinichi would it kill you to work with Ai for a change.
Jodie! She's one of my favourite members of the FBI! I also just really like her and I wish she was respected more by Gosho but that's would be asking a lot for his women characters.
Shinichi does a good impression of Ai XD I guess disguising as her a few times helped.
Shinichi: What's a little property damage?
And the sky helps him save his lie.
I refuse to accept that Jodie doesn't know Shinichi is an adult (or well a teenager).
Okay, we don't need this much of a recap of Jame's introduction, I do remember it well.
Oh the terrible woman will be the person they plan to take the fall for their assassination.
Akai is already 5 steps ahead and is preparing to save Shinichi and Kogoro's lives.
It's not spoken enough that Agasa is a game programmer, he could make so much money but instead he just designs them for the kids instead.
We need to speak more about how Ai sees her sister in Ran.
Whoever this kid's parents are, they need a stern speaking too about letting their child play near a main road.
And time for Akai to shine!
See! Gin doesn't fuck around. Shinichi not informing both Kogoro and Ran of his situation almost got them killed.
AKAI! Saving our dumb detective's butt.
That was one hell of a shot, though. To shoot through the sight. And to leave Gin lovely little scars as memory as well.
And Vermouth helps bury the truth even more. Really, Shinichi needs to learn from this.
Jodie: Don't worry, Shinichi will handle her disappearance.
Shinichi: *Commits identity fraud once again*

She Should Be With Me ~ Mamoru
Back again with the next story as part of this set! 😊😊
I've attached the post with the Prologue, in case anyone who reads this wants to read that part first! ⬇️⬇️
So far I have posted Eisuke's story, and now Mamoru's! 🤗
So this is...
Mamoru x MC
A story of jealousy and fluff
Disclaimer - Characters belong to Voltage Inc, story is my own idea.
⛔️Trigger Warning, brief mention of controlling behaviour.⛔️
~ 4438 words
Unbeknownst to the others in the room, Mamoru froze. His cigarette hung precariously from his fingertips, mid-air, halfway to his lips. Hearing MC declare she had moved in with her boyfriend broke him.
Feelings of jealousy sprouted in him. Irrational questions, such as ‘Could he arrest him?’ and ‘How to frame someone for a crime?’, popped into his head.
Alas, Mamoru knew this was not what his sweetheart would want. He had spent enough time with her by now to know she would not approve of him using such underhanded methods to win her heart.
Mamoru continued watching from the sofa as the other bidders fussed over MC and her news. He listened as they all whined and grumbled about her leaving. How if she wasn’t living at the hotel she wouldn’t be available when they needed her. Of course, Mamoru realised this wasn’t just their usual whims of coffee making and teasing. The others adored MC and her company as much as he did… well maybe not quite as much, but they certainly cared about her too.
Mamoru watched as MC squirmed under their questions. He noticed when her eyes briefly flitted his way, before swiftly leaving him again. Had he imagined the look she had given him? It had only been brief. Blink and you would have missed it. But he was sure he saw her looking for him. Seeking him out amongst the others. He also noticed how her cheeks had turned a tempting scarlet. She was beautiful, he thought.
Coming from such a regular family, at least in comparison to the other bidders, Mamoru had always desired his own family. A loving wife, children. Living together in their own cosy home. But being a detective, Mamoru didn’t dare to believe these dreams would come true. He had not believed he would ever find someone he would love so deeply.
Until… he met MC.
Mamoru could still recall the day MC officially came into their lives, not just working in the hotel. He would never forget that day… she had seemed so heroic for someone who had never experienced any sort of terror.
On that day, Mamoru had, unusually, been at the station tying up a couple of loose ends on a case he had been working when his phone had vibrated in his pocket. Thinking little of it, he nonchalantly glanced at the screen. Yet when he saw Eisuke had contacted him about an issue occurring at the hotel, the lazy detective immediately rushed to help.
When he arrived, the hotel had been bustling with screams and cries. The Ice Dragons, hotel staff and other bidders were trying to regain control of the situation. Mamoru sought out Eisuke to find out what was going on.
He learned a group of gunmen had shown up and started rounding guests and employees up as hostages. The bidders and staff were currently trying to calm over guests, encouraging them back to their rooms for safety.
It was then, they heard shots being fired and had turned in the direction of the sound. A couple of gunmen were trying to drag some more hostages away with them. Mamoru and the others were just about to rush over, when a lone maid stepped forward.
She appeared delicate. Someone who needed protecting. Yet she stepped forward. Stood firm. And she astonished Mamoru and the others when she declared herself the ultimate hostage.
Take her, and no others, and she would help them achieve what they wanted. She boldly lied about her worth as a hostage. Her claims she was in a higher position than she truly was, which would mean she was aware of finer details regarding the hotel, had magnified her appeal. Her voice never faltered. Mamoru watched in shock, when she met his gaze. She seemed to signal something to him.
It was in this moment, Mamoru noticed the depth in her eyes. At this most inappropriate time, Mamoru noticed the maid’s beauty. But it wasn’t just her outward beauty that had his gaze captured. It was her bravery. To step forward, for people she did not know, and offer herself… and still have the mental capability to signal him… well she was exceptional. Phenomenal. Unique.
When Mamoru had the men to finally go to her aid, MC had endured numerous beatings. She was cut and bruised. Blood coated her clothes. Yet when Mamoru arrived, she smiled at him. A smile which didn’t match the situation they found themselves in. All Mamoru could do was shake his head with a chuckle, a ‘You did good, Kid’ leaving his lips.
Having told Eisuke of her heroics, he declared he wanted to meet the brave maid who had helped save his hotel and guests. Who had prevented more hostages. So, he called her to the penthouse.
When she arrived, Mamoru had felt the butterflies in his stomach. She was a vision. The exact replica of the woman of his dreams. Beauty, smarts, bravery. She won Eisuke over with a coffee! she immediately got on with all of them, even Soryu who avoided women had taken a liking to her.
The truth is, Mamoru had fallen for this woman quickly. Over the next few years, he found himself falling deeper. MC was ever present in their lives. Since the incident, Eisuke welcomed her to visit them in the penthouse frequently, Ota used her as a model for his paintings, Baba had enlisted her as a taster for the dishes he made, Soryu enjoyed conversing about new detective novels with her.
While Mamoru, he had her help when he went on investigations and needed to blend in. Over the last few years she had played the part of his lover on many investigations. Doing so, allowed Mamoru to display his affections under the guise of acting. It made things easier, getting to play house and not have to hide his feelings for MC all the time.
The sound of MC trying to excuse herself from the barrel of questions coming her way pulled Mamoru from his memories. His eyes followed her figure as she walked towards the door. He noticed her eyes meet his as she walked by him. she offered him a little smile, tucking her hair behind her ear. Mamoru offered her a smile in return. A smile that fell the second the door closed behind her.
A chuckle grabbed Mamoru’s attention. Everyone was looking his way.
“What?” He huffered.
“When will you two just be honest with each other?” Eisuke asked.
“What d’ya mean?” Mamoru responded, lazily lounging back on the sofa.
“God Mamoru, it is so obvious. Say what you will, but it is clear as day you both want each other” Eisuke responded, uninterestedly but with a glint of mirth in his eyes.
Mamoru tensed. They had noticed his feelings? Yet the bigger surprise to him was their belief that his feelings were reciprocated? Surely not? MC wouldn’t move in with another man if she wanted him? Surely… Yet he couldn’t help but hope. Hope that some part of MC’s heart belonged with him.
***
A month had passed since MC had moved in with her boyfriend and been promoted. Everything had seemed to continue on as normal. Yet Mamoru noticed how MC had started to distance herself from them all slightly. Maintaining a more professional boundary with them all.
On this particular morning, it bothered him immensely. He had woken up and had just freshened up when MC knocked on his suite door. What followed was the strangest encounter they had ever had.
“Mornin’ Kid!” He waved her in lazily.
“Good morning Sir. I do hope it would not inconvenience you if I were to come tidy your suite now?” MC asked, offering Mamoru a polite bow. Mamoru was taken aback by her formal tone. Sir? She had never once called him Sir.
“MC? Everything ok?” He questioned, concerned by her change in behaviour.
“My apologies Mr Kishi, I shall try not to take up too much of your morning.” MC hurried off to begin cleaning the room.
MC had left as soon as she had finished, engaged in no general conversations, and had not looked him in the eye once. The encounter still nagged at him so he decided to try asking the others about it.
“Oh that? Don’t worry yourself too much, it’ll sort itself out sooner or later.” Eisuke replied nonchalantly, clearly not sharing in Mamoru’s concerns.
“Come on Boss, it clearly bothers him when she ignores him.” Baba chuckled.
“Fine. Her boyfriend didn’t like that she spent so much time with us. As soon as they moved in he set out some ground rules, and recently he seems to be tightening those rules up, adding new ones when something bothers him.” Eisuke, finally, gave Mamoru more of an answer.
“So, he’s controlling then…” Mamoru replied, trailing off. Suddenly he was rushing out the penthouse lounge.
***
A few hours later, and Mamoru bumped into MC who was on her lunch break. She sat alone. She stared aimlessly out the window. Her fork hanging mid-air, hovering above the plate. Mamoru immediately felt his body warm with love at the sight of her.
Quietly, he took the seat opposite her, set down his own lunch and simply began eating. It took a few moments, but when MC finally noticed his presence her eyes bulged.
“Mamo! What are you doing here?!” She muttered quietly, hoping to avoid catching the attention of those around them.
“Oh so ya do still remember my name! thought I would have lunch in here for a change” Mamoru replied, a smirk on his face.
“You never eat in here, what do you want?” MC argued.
“Ya been actin’ real strange lately. Worried me. Anyway, got a new assignment I need ya to come with me on.”
“Can’t”
“Why not?” Mamoru questioned. He knew full well why, he just wanted… no needed, to hear it from her lips.
“I just can’t, busy.” MC replied, digging into her lunch.
“I didn’t tell you when yet” Mamoru replied, smiling knowingly at her. She knew she had been caught out.
“Sigh… when is it?” MC relented. Mamoru was frustrated. Why wasn’t she just admitting to him why she was refusing first?
“Saturday night. We’ll be at a hotel. Bar, then head to a room next to the suspects.” He instructed.
“Got it.”
“Leave from the hotel at 6, or I can pick ya up from your place?”
“NO!” MC panicked, flustered. Suddenly her eyes went wide, and she quickly shot to her feet. “Uh… hotel is fine, I’ll be here for 6. See you later!”
“MC!” Mamoru called after her, but she was already scurrying away.
Soon Saturday evening arrived. MC had become quieter each day leading up to the investigation. She had appeared tired, wistful, and shaken. Still… she never told Mamoru anything. He had asked many times, each time she responded she was fine and that he didn’t need to worry. But he did.
As he waited outside the hotel, Mamoru puffed on his cigarette. As he exhaled the smoke he noticed MC walking towards him. His eyes drew to her like magnets. The cigarette which had been sitting firmly between two fingers fell to the ground. He felt his mouth go dry. She was gorgeous, he thought.
She was wearing a figure-hugging cocktail dress, with a pair of heels. Her hair had been curled and put up into a low messy bun. While her makeup highlighted her eyes.
Mamoru’s heart was racing. He pushed himself off the wall and hurried towards her.
“Beautiful as always” He whispered to her as his hand found purchase on her waist, allowing him to escort her towards their destination. He didn’t miss the way her cheeks blushed crimson as she thanked him.
In moments like these, Mamoru could treat his sweetheart how he wished he could always. He could compliment and marvel in her beauty, enjoy dinner, and her company, all the while protecting his own heart from the pain of rejection.
***
As the evening went by, the investigation went along smoothly. They received good information while sitting in the bar, and were now retreating to their hotel room.
The sound of MC’s phone vibrating for the nth time that evening, and the sight of her visibly tensing as she ignored the call, made Mamoru worry. Yet before he could even offer any words, MC shut him down with that beautiful smile of hers. Silently begging him not to probe any further.
After they arrived into the hotel room, Mamoru set to work setting up his surveillance equipment ready to listen in to the conversations between his suspect next door. He had just finished when MC approached him.
“I’m going to go shower” She said, placing her jewellery and phone on the dresser. Mamoru nodded once as she turned and left.
The sound of the shower running soon filled the quiet hotel room. Mamoru decided to use the time to change into something slightly comfier, ready for the long night ahead. Yet the buzzing of MC’s phone, once again, drew his attention.
Curiosity getting the better of him, he looked to see who was calling her. Mason. The name of her boyfriend appeared. As the call ended, Mamoru noticed all the notifications. 15 missed calls and 30 text messages… they had only been out 3 hours.
Just then, Mamoru noticed the sound of running water had stopped. He quickly moved away from MC’s phone and settled down on the window ledge, lighting a cigarette. Shortly after, MC emerged from the bathroom, clothed in only a bathrobe. The smell of her shampoo and body wash filled the room, offering a calming effect.
“Sorry I took so long, showers free” She smiled, as she settled onto the bed.
“Thanks! Oh by the way, your phone rang again while ya were showerin’ hope it wasn’t nothin’ important!” Mamoru said, testing her.
“Nah nothing” MC replied offering him a smile.
Still, she refused to confide in him about what was going on. Had he only imagined they were close? No. He wouldn’t let himself be convinced that they had been nothing, not even friends. Something was bothering her, she would tell him when the time was right.
But Mamoru was an impatient man. He had tried for the past month to respect her privacy. But knowing what he did, even her not being aware of him knowing, made it harder to remain quiet.
He silently approached MC as she sat on the bed, quietly staring down at her phone. He sat beside her. Took her phone from her hands. Turned it off. Then he simply looked at her. Encouraging her to confide in him.
“Hey Mamo, give me back my phone!” She moaned, reaching over him towards his side of the bed where her phone now sat.
Mamoru used this moment to capture her in an embrace. Shocked, MC froze, before she quietly settled into his embrace. Noticing her relenting, Mamoru finally broke the silence.
“Talk to me, MC. You know I will listen.” He spoke quietly, holding her tight. He wanted more than anything to share in her burdens.
MC audibly sighed. It was almost comical how large a sigh she had given. Finally, she spoke.
“It’s Mason… he doesn’t like me being around you guys. Especially with you. He never moaned about it before we moved in together, but now everything is an issue. He doesn’t like me seeing Eisuke to make him coffee, because Eisuke has a reputation for his groupies and Mason in convinced I must be one of them otherwise why else would he want to see a mere maid like me. He doesn’t like Ota painting me, because why would anyone want an image of me on their wall. He doesn’t like Baba cooking for me, because he flirts with everyone so he doesn’t need me. He doesn’t like Soryu acknowledging me, because since I’m the only female ever seen around him something must be going on. And he hates me spending anytime with you…” MC fell silent, not finishing her point.
“Why? Why doesn’t he like you spendin’ time with me?” Mamoru questioned, watching her carefully.
“Uhh long story…” MC replied, a blush coating her cheeks. Mamoru was sure he wasn’t imagining it.
“We have all night” He said, smiling at MC. The blush on her face deepened.
“Oh god… Mamo its embarrassing enough, don’t make me tell you.” She pleaded.
“Tell me, MC. Please.” It was Mamoru’s turn to plead now. MC sighed. She casted her eyes down.
“A couple of years ago, me and Mason went on a break. It was about a year after the incident at the hotel, you know when we met. I told him I needed some space. Sort my head out.”
“Why?”
“I had started to develop feelings for someone else… and well my head was a mess and so we split up. The break lasted for a couple of months. Honestly, I thought it was over for good. But then, well something happened to Mason and we got back together so I could support him through it. Since then though, he’s been jealous when I was around said person.”
“Said person… is that me?” Mamoru asked, hopeful in that his feelings had not been one sided.
“Urghh Mamoru don’t be so inconsiderate! Obviously, it was you!” MC responded, blushing furiously and hiding her face into his chest.
Mamoru felt the smile form on his chest. He hugged her slightly tighter.
“So, uh, why does it bother him now… if this was a couple of years ago? You’ve moved in together now too?”
“Oh uh… yeah that’s an even longer story…” MC huffed, “The truth is, I had told him a few months ago I didn’t want move in with him. We had just got back from that investigation about the Blue Jay’s smuggling ring, remember? Well, after that Mason and I were arguing. He mentioned you, and well I lost it. I mean how dare he bring you into our issues. Y’know? When he asked me if I was still in love with you, and if that was why I really didn’t want to live together I froze. And then stormed out.”
MC still avoided looking at Mamoru. He couldn’t help but wonder. Why hadn’t she just said no to her boyfriend? Unless… did she still love him?
“So… what is the answer to that?” Mamoru asked in barely a whisper.
“W-what?” MC asked startled, looking up suddenly.
Their eyes met. Held. Who knew how long had passed with neither looking away, neither speaking a word. Who made the first move? Was it Mamoru threading a hand into her hair, caressing her cheeks with his thumbs? Or was it MC and her fingers curling in his shirt? Neither could be sure. But what came next, neither could deny.
Their eyes, which had held one another close, soon closed. Their lips which had been but a hair breadth away, met. The kiss, was soft. Tantalisingly slow.
A warmth spread itself through Mamoru. The kiss was everything he had desired for so long, yet it wasn’t enough. The delicate kiss, did not sate the desire he had long held for her.
As MC pulled away slightly, her eyes fluttered open and met Mamoru’s. However, it wasn’t long before their lips crashed together, in a fiery, all-consuming, deep kiss. One that signified the passion which had been building between them for the last few years. It was electrifying and Mamoru could feel his need for MC intensifying as their kiss continued.
Yet as he reached out for her, she suddenly froze. Her eyes shot opened, a horrified look on her face, before she shoved Mamoru away and grabbed her clothing. Dressing in a hurry, Mamoru watched on in confusion.
“MC? What are you doing?” He asked. Still rushing about getting changed MC hurried towards the door.
“Leaving!” she replied, swinging the door open and racing through it.
“MC!” Mamoru shouted behind her.
But she didn’t turn around. Mamoru couldn’t leave the hotel, he was in the middle of a surveillance operation. No matter how much he wanted to chase after her, he couldn’t. Slumping back onto the bed, his hand naturally touched his lips. The heat from their kiss, still lingered.
***
A few weeks had passed since the end of that operation when MC had run out on Mamoru after their kiss. She had practically disappeared from his life since too. She hadn’t been to work since. She hadn’t responded to any of their messages either.
It wasn’t just Mamoru who was growing concerned in her absence. Eisuke sighed as he put down his phone, his call going unanswered once again.
“I don’t understand where she is gone?” Eisuke muttered, “And why is she ignoring our calls?”
“She isn’t responding to any of us…” Mamoru responded. His heart hurt with worry.
“Kenzaki couldn’t even get in touch with her” Eisuke stated, while staring at the phone in his hand.
Mamoru was even more concerned now. She wasn’t showing up to work. She was ignoring calls from her friends and employers. What could have happened to her?
The ignored phone calls, missing shifts and torment of not knowing where she had gone continued for another week. Every day the bidders got together to discuss what they would do next if MC did not return by the end of the week. They would share their updates from their own mini investigations too.
None had managed to find any clue as to where she had gone. Mamoru was growing more concerned and impatient by the day. All hope seemed to be lost. Until… MC walked through the hotel doors one morning, along with a large bag.
Mamoru had been talking to Eisuke in the lobby when they saw MC entering the hotel. They raced over to her, relief finally settling in at seeing her safe and unharmed. Noticing them, MC offered them a cordial smile.
“MC where have you been?” Eisuke asked, as Mamoru grabbed her arms, checking her over for any injuries. Letting her go, as seen as he confirmed for himself she was ok.
“Uhh, long story?” MC smiled trying to worm her way out of explaining.
“It’s been 3 weeks, you’ve ignored all our attempts to contact you. No way are you getting out of explaining this one!” Mamoru responded, somewhat forcefully.
Nodding once, MC followed the two men as they headed up to the penthouse lounge. When they entered, MC placed her bag down and immediately set about making coffee for them all. The usual routine falling back into place.
“So?” Eisuke asked after sipping his coffee.
“Well… I had something I needed to sort out. It took a little longer than expected. I stayed with my parents while I was sorting it out. I’m sorry for ignoring your calls, I needed to sort everything out and while it wasn’t sorted I didn’t feel I could really face you guys…” MC spoke quietly.
“So tell us now. I assume the bag has something to do with it?” Mamoru asked.
“Ok…” MC sighed, “I ended things with Mason. For good this time. I moved out and headed to my parents and stayed with them while we sorted out all the legal crap from moving in together”
“You broke up?!” Mamoru reacted. His heart trembling and filling with a slight hope.
“Why did you break up?” Eisuke asked. He already had an incline it would be to do with Mamoru but he didn’t want to announce his assumption.
“Well… the truth is… on the night I was helping Mamo out, he asked me a question.” MC now faced, Mamoru, “You asked me a question, one that at the time I didn’t answer in words. But my actions that night spoke volumes. I knew then I couldn’t keep living with or being with Mason. It wasn’t fair on either of us. He was right to be worried of my feelings, but it wasn’t right that he was controlling me. it was better for both of us, to split up.”
“So it’s over?” Mamoru asked nervously, not wanting to get his hopes up too much.
“Yes…” MC responded.
“Because you want to be with Mamoru?” Eisuke asked, smirking.
“Yes…” MC whispered, her eyes going wide when she realised what she had just admitted. Before she could correct herself, Eisuke shooed them both off to Mamoru’s room to finish their discussion.
***
When they returned to Mamoru’s suite, MC made them both coffee and sound beside him on the sofa. A peaceful silence ensued.
MC’s scent, her shampoo, body wash and perfume, filled the room. It brought him peace. She was finally back. Yet that peace did not last long. Mamoru recalled how MC had practically confessed her feelings for him to Eisuke moments earlier, and he suddenly sat bolt upright.
MC was startled by the sudden movement, almost spilling her coffee in the process.
“Jeez Mamo, careful I could have burned myself!” she berated him. But Mamoru didn’t care. he was over the moon. And now they were alone he was going to get her to confess properly and then finally tell her how he felt too.
“MC… tell me the truth now… how do you feel about me?” His hand had cupped her cheek, he rested his forehead gently against hers, looking into her eyes as he pleaded his sweetheart to share her heart with him.
“Mamo… I-I… I love you” She smiled at him, tears brimming in her eyes.
“I love you too, sweetheart” Mamoru responded, before slamming his lips into hers. Crushing her in a tight embrace.
Hearing his sweetheart finally tell him the words he had longed to hear, felt surreal. He bundled her up into his arms and carried her into his bedroom. His lips never leaving hers.
As he led her gently on his bed, he pulled away, tearing his top from his body. Letting his lips meet hers once again. In this moment, everything he had desired was finally coming true.
He had the woman of his dreams, laid bare before him. She had confessed she loved him. Finally, that picture perfect regular life he had imagined, one that seemed beyond him, was finally in reach.
And he was going to grab it. Hold it close, and ensure it came true.
Starting with a long night, cherishing the one he loved most. The one he could finally call his.
His sweetheart.

everything happens for a reason part 4 - zuko x fem!reader
The night was full of terrors and your eyes were full of tears
part 3 | masterlist | part 5
a/n: i told you this was where everything starts to go downhill !! throw one out for my girl kura though water tribe mothers stay winnin
i had this scheduled for next week but elle wanted angst so it’s out today😁😁
wc: 2.9k
warning(s): threats/talks of killing and violence, lots of stress, ozai being the worst (and racist), basically just. angst
chapter title comes from the night we met by lord huron + phoebe bridgers!
The blood in her veins turned to ice as she shot a panicked look at Zuko.
“What?” A frown was already forming on Zuko’s face despite his efforts to remain impassive. “Why?”
“I’m unaware of the reason, my prince. All I know is that I am supposed to escort you to the throne room, then once you are finished to deliver the servant. Another guard will be here shortly for her.” A pregnant pause hung in the air as the two children met each other’s eyes, the fear obvious in Y/N’s.
“I’m sure you know that the Fire Lord does not like to be kept waiting, Prince Zuko.” The guard’s voice brought them back to reality and Zuko nodded unsteadily as he began to walk with the guard, shooting a look that he hoped was reassuring back at Y/N.
She couldn’t even return the sentiment — she was completely frozen in place despite the age old urge to run shooting through her body. Servants didn’t meet with the Fire Lord in any sort of formal way — Spirits, they barely even talked to the royal family as a whole unless it was for some kind of business reason; even then they were at risk of their infamous explosive tempers.
Y/N might’ve been young, but she understood just as much — she was as good as dead the moment that guard arrived.
What was she supposed to do? Y/N was a child, a servant — if the Fire Lord wanted to see her, she had no choice but to follow along with it. But she knew that nothing good was going to come out of this. She cherished her friendship with Zuko more than anything but she hadn’t been treating it as seriously as she should’ve.
Her mother was right. She couldn’t imagine her life without Zuko now, but Y/N knew now that she never should’ve attempted anything more than professionalism. The Fire Nation was a cruel place, the Fire Lord was a cruel man, and she was going to pay the price for trying to go against it.
As if summoned by her thoughts, her mother came storming around the corner with an unusual haste in her step, the fire blazing in her eyes only offset by the pure horror.
“Y/N, what did you do?” Her mother’s frenzied voice went in one ear and out the other as she just stared at her wide eyed, mouth opening and closing but nothing coming out. “Why did I hear the Fire Lord’s personal servants talking about meeting with a servant girl?”
“I— I—” The stammered syllable was all that she could get out, but Kura didn’t wait for an answer. She grabbed her daughter’s hand and began to run, constantly looking behind her as they darted through the hallways towards the servants’ quarters. Once they had arrived, she slammed the door shut behind them and immediately got to work.
“I’m sorry!” she cried, finally managing to form a sentence. “I— I’m sorry, I wasn’t thinking about—”
“You weren’t thinking about anything!” Kura flew around the room, shoving various items into a satchel and all but clearing out Y/N’s area of the quarters. “I told you to be careful just talking to him, and now— now this?”
“I’m sorry!” Y/N repeated, her words coming out in between choked sobs. Her head was spinning and she could barely breathe — no more than twenty minutes ago everything was perfect, how did it go so wrong so quickly? “I thought we were safe, I thought that they wouldn’t know—”
“The Fire Lord will always find out,” Kura muttered, still a whirlwind around the room as she tried to think of anything her daughter could need. “I was too lenient. I should have never let you get close to him.”
“I don’t know how it happened, but I started liking him and he started liking me and we went out into the city even though I knew we shouldn’t have and he told me he liked me and I like him even more now but now I’ve ruined everything!” Y/N heaved another shaky breath, the words flowing out of her like water as tremors ran through her whole body. “And now the Fire Lord is going to kill me!” she sobbed.
“Nothing is going to happen to you, baby. Okay? Not as long as I’m here.” Kura threw a cloak behind her at Y/N. “Put that on.”
“Why?” She began to do what her mother asked, but questioned it anyway.
“Because I’m going to get you out of here.” She dug through a parcel of coins and after a quick count, threw it into the bag as well. “The Fire Lord wants to mess with my daughter?” she muttered to herself. “He’s going to have to go through me first.”
“How?” Y/N asked yet again, her voice just as uncertain as she felt — it was like she was incapable of anything other than one word responses.
Satisfied with the contents of the satchel, she put the strap over Y/N’s shoulder. She then knelt on the ground in front of her and adjusted her cloak, carefully pulling the hood over her head to conceal any distinguishing features. “I want you to listen to me, and I want you to memorize every word I say. Is that clear?”
Y/N nodded and Kura cast another glance at the door, as if expecting the Fire Lord himself to burst through the door at any moment, before turning back to her daughter. “Alright. You are going to leave the palace through the servant door near the infirmary. You’re lucky — the guards should be changing shifts around this time, so if you move quickly you’ll be able to make it past the walls without getting caught. Do not stop running until you reach Harbor City — I don't care how tired you get or how much your legs ache, do not stop. Ask around for Eisuke, but be careful; the place is brewing with criminals. Once you find him, tell him you are Kura’s daughter. He’ll be able to get you out of the city; if he wants coin, give it to him. From there—”
The door burst open all of a sudden and Kura shot up, instinctively hiding Y/N behind her. She relaxed when she saw it was only Aiko, but the somber look on her face told her all she needed to know.
“There’s a guard looking around for Y/N,” she warned. “I managed to throw him off the path for now, but it’s not going to last. If you’re going to get her out, you need to do it now.”
Kura turned back to her daughter, once again kneeling in front of her. “From there, do whatever you can to get to the Earth Kingdom. You’ll have far more allies there than anywhere in the Fire Nation. Once you get far enough north, you’ll be able to find a boat to take you to the Northern Water Tribe. Tell them that you are Kura’s daughter, and show them this.”
She ripped her necklace off from around her neck and tucked it into Y/N’s hand — a simple band with a blue stone carved in the shape of a flower — and closed her fingers around it. “They’ll recognize it from my time in the tribe, and they will help you. Do you understand?”
Y/N swallowed the lump in her throat and nodded, her eyes already shimmering with tears. “I’m so sorry, mother. I’m so sorry.”
She shushed her and embraced Y/N in a tight hug, trying to soothe her as much as she could. “It’s alright, darling. You shouldn’t have to apologize for being a child.”
“Why can’t you come with me?” she asked desperately. “You’ll be safe too.”
“I have to stay back to make sure that you’re safe on the other side as well,” Kura reassured. She knew that if her daughter disappeared right before she was supposed to be punished, it would only serve to anger Ozai more. If she left alongside her, Kura was almost certain that all of the servants would be punished; if she stayed then she would be able to take full responsibility — as long as she knew her daughter was safe, Kura could weather anything.
“But I can’t do this alone,” Y/N pleaded, the tears now falling freely. “Please, mother.”
“You can, my little otter penguin. You’re braver than you even know. “ Kura pressed a kiss to her forehead and smiled faintly at her before looking back at Aiko. “Can you make sure she gets out of the palace safely?”
“Of course.”
Kura embraced her once more, squeezing so tightly that Y/N couldn’t breathe, but it was a welcome sensation this time. “I love you, Y/N. Always remember that, no matter what happens.”
Y/N nodded and shouldered her satchel, biting down on her lip hard to keep herself from shedding any more tears. “I love you too, mother. I swear, I’ll find my way back to you. I don’t care how long it takes.”
Aiko took Y/N’s hand and began urging her towards the door, looking back at her mother with nothing but pure sympathy. “I hope you know what you’re doing, Kura.”
“So do I,” she whispered.
-
Zuko knelt in front of his father, willing himself to keep his eyes on the floor as well as stop the tremors running through his body. He was in trouble, he had to be for a meeting like this, but all he could think about was Y/N and how much trouble she would be in. He had to figure out some way to save her—
“Prince Zuko.” Ozai’s voice boomed throughout the hall, and he worked to maintain the mask of stoicism. It was near impossible with the countless thoughts bouncing around in his head, but he somehow managed. “I’m sure you know why I have called you in here tonight.”
He counted in his head the seconds passed for an appropriate pause before answering cautiously. “No, father. I’m not aware of the reason for this.”
“Don’t lie so blatantly to my face,” he spat. “I have eyes everywhere, and I know you were in the city without permission. Am I correct?”
Zuko swallowed the sudden lump in his throat and nodded shakily. “Yes, father, you are. I went into the city today with—”
“With a servant girl?” The flames on either side of him flared up as a result of his growing anger. “I would ask what was going through your head when you decided to do something so stupid, but it doesn’t seem like anything is going on up there.”
“She needed silks for a project she was working on,” he said, trying in vain to defend himself. “She didn’t have the materials that she needed so I thought I would take her out into the city to help her.” It was so much more than that, but Zuko feared for what would happen if his father knew the feelings he harbored for her.
“You are the crown prince,” Ozai growled. “It is not your job to help servants. You should know better than to go prancing around with Water Tribe savages, but I suppose I have to teach you a lesson.”
“Please, don’t—“ Zuko began, but he was cut off yet again.
“You will speak when spoken to,” he interrupted through gritted teeth. “If you won’t take such a coveted position seriously, then I will take it into my own hands. I will not have your feelings ruining the image of this family after how hard I have worked. The Water Tribe peasant will suffer severe consequences, and it will be your fault. This will be your lesson to remember just who you are. Nothing in this world comes without a cost."
Zuko felt his heart stop for just a moment as his father’s golden eyes bore into his own, and he dug his nails into the flesh of his palm in a half-hearted attempt to stay calm. “Father, is this really necessary?”
“The mere fact that you are questioning my decision proves that it is,” Ozai seethed. “This is not your choice to make, and every attempt in undermining my authority will make her suffer more. Do you understand?”
He found himself unable to speak, the horror of the situation still processing in his head. Y/N was going to get hurt, possibly killed, and it was all his fault. He should’ve been more careful, he shouldn’t have been around her at all, he was being completely selfish by wanting her company and now his father was going to—
“I will not repeat myself again; do you understand?”
Zuko inhaled sharply and nodded, his vision coming back into focus as he croaked out a “yes”.
Ozai appeared less than satisfied, but it seemed the extended company of his son was not worth worming a better answer out of him. He directed his attention to the guard waiting by the door. “Take him back to his quarters — station two guards outside to ensure that he stays put. Once you are done, find the savage and throw her in a cell. A night in the cold will loosen her tongue. You are dismissed.”
Zuko felt numb as he pulled himself up from the floor, bowed, and walked out of the throne room with the guard. Every fibre of his being screamed at him to break away from the guard, to run and find Y/N, and take her away from this dreaded place before any harm could come to her.
But he didn’t. He remained in place, following the guard silently to his room as a storm brewed in his mind.
What in Agni’s name had he pulled her into?
-
Prince Zuko doesn’t sleep a wink that night, spending every moment staring out the window with wide eyes and a petrified heart. He has no idea how Y/N is going to get out of this, and he feels like a coward for not being able to protect her. What good is any kind of honor if this was the cost?
The next day, he is forced to be with a guard at all times — he doesn’t catch a single glimpse of the waterbender.
The next day, the rest of the week, a month — no sign of her. He tries to find Kura, but is met with the same result. He manages to sneak his way into the prison, but he can’t even find her there. None of the other servants will tell him anything about their whereabouts, either out of fear that the same will happen to them or direct orders from his father.
He feels like he’s tainted, like he only brings pain to those around him. His mother gone, his love missing, dead, or worse, and the same for her mother. The effortless cruelty his father shows to everyone around him — it makes him wonder if that’s what will become of him when he eventually takes the throne.
It makes Zuko sick, to think of what she went through and that he was the cause of it. It takes everything in him to hold the tears back, but the floodgates open at night when he is alone — with Y/N gone, he feels that way more often than not.
Every sign points to her being dead, but Zuko prays to every spirit he knows that she somehow found a way out.
-
Y/N doesn’t sleep either that night, every breath and every step dedicated to getting farther away from the palace. Every sound she hears sends tremors through her body, expecting every cracked branch or bump in the night to be someone coming to finish the job. More than once she questions what in Tui’s name is she doing, and Y/N knows that her mother’s final words are the only reason she is able to get through this.
She feels like a coward for leaving. Her mother is going to bear the consequences, and it’s more than likely other servants will suffer because of her too. And Zuko — she has no idea what is going to happen to him. He may be the crown prince, but title has never stopped Ozai before. She doubts it will stop him now. Knowing that it won’t last is the only comfort — she’s just a servant; punishment will only be inflicted to make an example out of the situation and then it will be left alone.
At least, that’s what she hopes for.
Y/N tells herself that she will reunite with Zuko no matter the cost. No matter how long it takes, how much she has to go through, even if she has to break into the damn palace — she knows that her story with the prince is not over, even if she has to keep writing it herself.
She will see him again. Y/N knows that much.

KBTBB OC Headcanon: How They Are With The Bidders
A lil background on my OC
Eisuke
She has a love hate relationship with him.
She hates him because well, he’s Eisuke. A greedy rich asshole who always wants his way and never takes “no” as an answer. Eisuke stans, don’t come for me pls-
I’d say the reason she loves him is because he has the ability to do good things, and sometimes he does that.
She also does think he’s attractive, but she’ll never admit it to him because that’ll just fuel his already big ego.
When talking with him, it’s all passive aggressive.
If he’s being all stubborn with the MC (she exists in my AU), then she’ll start standing up for her and just go off on him.
When she found out about his sister, she also tried helping to track her down for many hours a day
Overall, they try to avoid interacting unless they actually need to.
Soryu
Before falling in love (bc they’re together in my AU), she’s kinda annoyed by his disrespect to the MC.
Like okay, but she’s literally not being like every other woman? SHE’S A KIND SOUL
One time, she managed to throw him onto the floor when they were challenging each other because he underestimated her strength and tried to go easy. He couldn’t face her the next day-
She definitely does respect him because she sees that despite his dislike for women, he’s a man with good morals.
That’s one of the reasons she falls in love, and their other similarities draw them closer.
She likes to tag along on some of his missions if they involve fights because it means a lot of thrilling action.
She is able to use a gun, but only uses it if necessary; knives are preferred
They’re not lovey dovey in front of the others, but when they’re home they show a lot of affection to each other so much that they become different people.
He gets jealous when she hangs out with the others a little too much, but she makes up for it with a lot of affection
The only time they argue is when they want the other to stay safe from danger despite their high ability to defend themselves.
They cuddle in any way they can when they sleep.
A lil backstory detail: They met back then in high school, but it was only once so they never remembered it until school was mentioned.
Baba
Despite the fact that he’s a flirt, she actually thinks he’s a funny and amazing person.
Well at first, she was a little iffy about him due to his flirty nature but she got used to it. He used that later on to get Soryu to show his affection for her.
They are almost besties, but you know his #1 best friend is Ota and no one else can take that title.
Sometimes she acts as a wingwoman for him and tries her best to convince women that he’s a great guy. But then the dates go wrong-
When she gets with Soryu, she goes to Baba for advice since he has experience and well, he’s a guy- (Soryu also goes to him but he doesn’t tell her-)
Whenever Soryu wants to pull his gun out on him, she tries her best to calm him down because she actually cares about Baba :)
They play video games together and do funny videos (sometimes even pranking the other bidders).
Overall, they’re just two goofballs that have fun together.
Ota
Fake-
She thinks he’s a two-faced prick but once she hears about his backstory from Baba, she understands his reasoning.
Finds his kink and habit of calling the MC his deceased dog’s name super weird and unnecessary-
They sort of get along? But mostly because they both love the arts and so they try to inspire each other.
She took some lessons from him and now she draws pretty well.
She will have those moments where she will tell Ota to shut the hell up because he’s making stupid jokes or is picking on the MC.
Love hate relationship, but actually is more chill with Ota.
Mamoru
First impression was him snoring by the window.
Didn’t know he was a cop until she heard him talking on the phone with the station about a case.
She would wake him up every time she saw him leave anything behind that the MC would have to clean and force him to do it himself. Lots of yelling would occur, letting everyone know what was obviously happening-
Also tells him to go work by giving motivational speeches about justice and protecting the innocent Spoiler: They almost work but never do
They talk from time to time about life, other times he sleeps on one couch and she sleeps on the other when there’s nothing else to do. Eisuke gets mad when this happens because of possible drool stains-
One time she gave him help in tracking down a criminal who was kidnapping girls.
He treats her like his daughter, telling her to be safe whenever she goes on missions and makes sure she’s taking care of herself.
Though Soryu hates him, he lets her hang out with him and doesn’t say anything while they’re talking to each other.
Luke
Thought he looked innocent, but then learned about his thing about bones
Fortunately he never paid attention to hers but when he would approach the MC a little too closely, she would intervene and try to gently push him back
She still trusts him because Soryu and Eisuke does too
Gets checkups from him whenever she feels her injuries could be serious
She notices how much sleep and food he lacks, so along with the MC she helps encourage him to take better care of himself
They try to make simple meals so that he can start off lightly, and try using sleeping sounds to have him pass out automatically
It’s not easy, but having two ladies beg him to take better care should be encouraging enough
For conversations, the only occurrence is when she’s telling him to take care of his health, but sometimes she has questions about the body anatomy that she asks him.
Shuichi
Rarely sees him, but the first time she saw him was when he had a meeting with Eisuke.
He gave a mix Soryu and Eisuke vibes, but with glasses
She doesn’t really think much of him, since she doesn’t know much about him
She likes when he and Eisuke disagree or argue, because it’s satisfying to her seeing Eisuke getting a taste of his own medicine.
Sometimes helps him win-
Good acquaintances I’d say
Hikaru
Both are assassins, so immediately they connect as friends
They talk about their different strategies and maybe pick up something from one another
They met through Shuichi, who brought him one day
Sometimes they go on missions together if possible just to hang out or if they actually need more than one person
On their free time, they like to go out and go to amusement parks, do karaoke, get ice cream, just anything fun
Best assassin friends :D
Rhion
First saw him at the auctions, but didn’t know it was him until after
She thinks that his Mad Hatter appearance is so cool that she went to him one day and asked him to do the look on her
Have tea parties sometimes, and she brings snacks that she thinks he’ll enjoy
His kind nature is comforting, so she goes to him whenever she needs to feel calm
Tries to visit often so he has someone to talk to because she knows how lonely it can get
Tries to keep him an innocent cinnamon roll and just loves how adorable he is :)
Author’s Note: I tried my best to put my thoughts into details but this written using the best of my knowledge on them. I was bored and decided to make it in case someone was bored too.

- - Part 1 - Part 2 - Part 3 - Part 4
When I woke up the following morning, Koko was nowhere to be seen. Not a trace of him anywhere around, I made sure of that by checking every room and corners in my house. It felt lonely for a moment, to not have anyone around the place, but I wanted to get back to being used to it. I had been living like that long enough to not shed a tear simply because criminals had left my house, how odd of a thought to have.
Even as I thought it stupid to feel like something was missing from their absence, I could not find the strength to act as if nothing had happened, nor was I allowed to do so. The adrenaline I had felt during those two days was addictive and without it, everything seemed dull now. For the few days during which Hanma said he would be gone, I barely heard of him. My routine had returned and no one at work found it strange that Eisuke was gone; as I asked around, they told me he had gone on holiday with a woman he had recently met. A knot formed in my stomach at the mention of that woman because I knew who it was, I had been the one forced to play the role of the love-struck woman that adored her little CEO. It made me sick.
On Tuesday while I was at work, I received a message from Hanma that made me lock my screen right away. For some reason, I thought it would be smart to check the message while my Junior was watching over my shoulder to see how I did things. With the skin exposed on the photo, it did not take a genius to guess what the context was, so I closed it and set my phone facing down on the desk. “What is it?” she asked curiously, her hands planted on the desk as she leaned over to check the screen I was working on. With a rehearsed confident chuckle, I shook my head, “Just a friend.”
Her reply caught me off guard when she exclaimed, “You have friends?!” She quickly realized it was rude. I did not take any offense in her words—it even made me smile at how genuine her shock was—but it did put in perspective how little of my life revolved around socializing. “I mean, that’s not what I meant but like, I’m sorry, I never see you when we go out drinking with the firm on Fridays, so I assumed you did not like doing that kind of stuff and—“ “Alright, alright. You are forgiven, I do have some friends albeit a scarce amount.” Once more, I lied to the girl. Sure, I had a few people I hung out with, but we were all very busy with work. While I could count on them no matter the issue I encountered, I no longer felt safe spending time with them if it gave Bonten leverage on me to know I had people I cared about.
“Although, this one is more of a… how should I put it…” Colleague? How would one call someone who threatened them into joining their awful criminal organization, to then flirt with you in the worst way—was it even flirting or was he just vulgar? Sighing, I covered my face in frustration trying to find the right words. “Are you flustered? Is it someone you’re interested in?” I heard Rai ask in excitement. I was quick to uncover my face and shake my head, “No, absolutely not. No such things, it’s someone very annoying and bad—““But you have their number… how bad can they be?” Her hand slid to my phone and tried to unlock it, in vain. It made her sigh in disappointment as she handed it back to me, pouting slightly. She was getting comfortable around me, which was reassuring. I liked that she was not being as fearful as in the first weeks she had started working alongside me.
Seeing how dejected she was, I sighed too and smiled softly. “I sometimes work a business on the side, to help… this friend out, and he finds it fun to send me…” inappropriate photos? To jerk off on the phone with me? To traumatize me and force me to use a gun against my will? Nothing was right with any of those things, yet here I was, feeling relieved to see a message from the bastard. “He has a lot of free time, let’s say. And he likes to show off where he goes, I suppose.” Rai’s face lit up and she rested her elbows on the desk, her face cradled in her hands, “Does he travel a lot? Does he have money? Do you see him a lot? Is he cute?” Without thinking much, I answered rapidly, “Yes, quite. Yes. Unfortunately, yes. Yes.”
It was true that he travelled, he had to be able to meet up with important people. And sometimes take care of some of the things that would follow after their encounters. And with how easy it was for them to bribe or threaten, money probably wasn’t an issue. As Hanma had said, hush-money was the currency of the underworld, the world they ruled. “Can I see him? I never thought you the type to have a crush!” She exclaimed, snatching me out of my daydream. In confusion, I quirked a brow and she laughed a bit too loudly in reaction, making people shush her at the outburst. “You said he was cute, do you have a picture?” “Absolutely not, he is a real asshole. I do not have pictures and I believe we should return to work.”
With that, I gripped the edge of my desk and pulled myself closer to it, rolling my chair so that I was fully facing the screen. The girl grinned and hesitantly nudged my shoulder, “I think it’s good for you to have a crush, boss.” This man was just an animal, too wild and too primal, clearly acting purely on instinct instead of rational thoughts and there was nothing good that could come out of this. All of that was enough to make me ignore how attractive he was. “Go back to work, Junior.” I said with a wink, to make sure she did not feel too uncomfortable after being so familiar with me.
Half-heartedly, I unlocked my phone to check the message he had sent me and took hold of myself rapidly when I understood what it was. I had no idea where the man was nor what was his business, but he had found the time to send me a picture of himself with someone on his lap. The woman was clad in only fancy underwear and it seemed to be a public place, probably a strip club. His punishment-tattooed hand was groping her ass cheek and he was smiling lazily at the camera. I could not believe the effort he had put in this just to send it to me, what did he think he was doing? That bastard even asked someone to take the picture for him, he really thinks he’s the shit uh… I thought with a dry scoff.
Yet, my eyes did not leave the photo. His arrogant attitude made the situation a lot more erotic than it was, it was unnecessary of him to look straight at the camera as if he was looking at me. The tie around his neck was undone slightly and his free hand was holding a cigarette to his lips, his legs spread for the woman to sit balanced on his thigh. It was hot, but once again I was confused as to why he had sent me this.
Reading the message accompanying the picture, I chuckled.
H.: This could be us
H.: I’m sure you’d love to have my hands on your ass
Rolling my eyes, I texted back rapidly.
Me: You sure know how to make a woman feel special, send me more pictures of you with other women that sure does the trick
Me: At least you are alive. Good for you.
With a huff, I put my phone down. For some reason something was going on inside my chest, I was probably angry at the unwanted picture he had sent. If I wanted to see some ass, I could have gone to a strip club myself, but he had chosen to share that little part of his trip with me, to try to rile me up for whatever reason. Forcing myself to focus on my work, I found myself once more lost in thought, undergoing my tasks automatically. The mood at the firm had changed, but no one around seemed to be aware of it, they all bathed in ignorance, joking and talking as usual, unaware that Eisuke was not coming back. It was not unusual for him to go on a sudden trip, but I knew better.
Each time my mind would drift to Eisuke, I would make sure to drown those thoughts by working even more.
As I did exactly that, time went by in a flash. Around lunch break that day, when I checked my phone, Hanma had replied with something that made me laugh again. I let myself enjoy the moment, because reminding myself they were bad people did not help coping. I could give him some credit and admit he had a funny bone to him, sometimes, amidst the insanity.
H.: Your turn now
H.: Give me something to work with here
H.: After all I haven’t seen you in days
H.: It’d be a shame to forget that angry frown that I could twist in one of pleasure if only you’d let me
“Ah!” I said out loud, scoffing again with a stupid smile on my lips as I walked to the bathroom, hand wrapped tightly around the phone. My heels clicked on the ground at a fast pace, I looked determined but not for the reason some might think. Once I entered the stall, I closed the lid and sat on the toilet before pressing the camera app and aiming it at me.
With a crisped smile, I brought my hand in front of the camera and flipped him off before sending it to him.
H.: Good angle, now just take the top off and I’m sure I could work with it
How insufferable could he be? I did not want him to work with anything, I wanted to ruin the silly little mindset he was in, trying to get off probably. This time I aimed the camera lower, so that the angle was not as great, and he could hardly get anything from it.
Me: Keep your hands on the stripper and not on your cock
H. replied to your photo: so that’s what you’d look like if you were riding my dick, uh? That’s good
Closing my eyes, I took a moment to calm down. He could truly turn anything to his advantage, no matter what I say, he would find a way to get off from it. Truly a sick man. I typed back.
Me: Feel free to not come back, I find myself more than content now that I am back to my routine without you. You can also keep those pictures of your hand on asses to yourself.
H.: Shouldn’t have said that, doll.
Me: Ok, have a good day, I stand by what I said.
Hating myself for laughing at his jokes was tiring. So when I received a new message from him two days later, I chuckled. This time, his hand was not on some random skin—instead, it was tightly wrapped around the neck of a grown man. I would never admit it, but there was something appealing about this display of strength. I knew the man was crazy and I could not justify his actions, nor did I know what he was doing or had been doing for the past few days, but I found myself smiling at the picture he had sent. The man was illogical, I did not know what he was up to, what he was searching for, what he was trying to get from me by sending me these kinds of pictures, but I was fully aware that by responding to his text I was playing along. So, I replied.
Me:I suppose you're going to tell me that I wish for you to wrap your hands around my neck?
H.: Glad you admit it
This odd feeling in my chest was back and I felt a thrill thinking this was a man he had beaten up and was holding just like that. Wait—reprimanding myself internally, I put the phone down with a nervous chuckle.
“Can’t believe I find it appealing, I must be going mental.” I mumbled to myself with a smile of disbelief. Knowing the man, he had followed what I said, which was to keep the picture of his hand on an ass to himself. This time it was around a neck. I did not reply to his message, but I did save the picture—as I did it, I felt shameful, but he was never going to find out I found appeal in it. My phone was mine, locked and kept away from him, and never in my life would I tell him he looked good.
My lack of response did not deter him, even if I thought it did. It took him two more days to send another text and to say I was relieved to see a new message from him would be… fair. It would also need the complementary information that was: I was checking my phone too many times for my liking throughout those two days. Enough times to make it wrong, obsessional.
It was late at night this time. I had just got out of the shower, wrapped warmly in my bathrobe and the picture I had received was not as well-lit as usual. Pressing my fingers on the screen, I zoomed in and opened my mouth in shock at the picture. Someone was unconscious on the ground, blood splattered everywhere as two other people stood nearby. I couldn’t see their faces, but I assumed one of them was Sanzu from the lighter-colored suit and hair. The narrow street was a cul-de-sac and the camera was more angled towards the wall, rather than the person on the ground, making that the background more than the subject of the picture. Hanma’s shadow was cast on the ground, but he was not in the picture. Curious of what was the purpose of the picture, I looked at the message that followed and snorted, immediately thinking it was bad to laugh at that.
H.: I could fuck you so good against that wall
Me: Are we not going to mention the person on the ground?
Me: Has the thought crossed your mind before, or after beating a guy up?
Without a surprise, my phone lit up with his name appearing on the screen. It had been a while since I had heard him and when he spoke up, my entire body tensed. While my memory of his voice was fading, the reaction I had to it was not disappearing, fear engulfed my form.
“Fighting gets me rock hard, doll. And your ass has been on my mind all week, you can’t blame me for thinking of fucking you every time I’m done taking care of someone.” When I laughed softly at his words, it stopped him from adding anything. Almost as if he had been caught off guard. I took the opportunity and said, “You’re obsessed, should I fear you coming into my room at night?” The distance separating us made it easier to joke, to relax. His presence was scary, but his carefree use of violence was the most frightening; knowing he was away gave me some confidence. “Aren’t you playful tonight?” His voice mocking, just like I was used to hearing it. He continued in a more serious tone, “Just because I’m not there doesn’t mean you can relax, I’ll be sending you on an errand tomorrow.” “I am not free during the day, I have work to attend—“ I was interrupted by his hand slamming on something, a wall, a desk, or maybe a car, I was too startled to care.
“When I say I need you, you free your schedule. It’s not that hard to understand, doll.” The last sentence was cooed condescendingly. I had never heard him like that, sure I had hardly spent any time with the man, but anger was not an emotion that I had seen on him. He was upbeat, hectic and in control, whatever was weighing his mind turned him into something I could not manage. If when in control he was already scary, what could he do out of control? “Yes sir. I suggest you let out some steam, because I did nothing to earn that anger of yours. I’ll do whatever you tell me to, it’s not like I had a choice.” I scoffed the last part, earning myself a huff from the man on the other end of the phone.
My hands were sweaty, I did not feel comfortable and I blamed it on the tension between us, a tension that arrived out of nowhere without any warning. “Don’t fuck up the errand, it’s that simple.” “I shot a man for you, or whatever. You can’t think of me as not trustworthy, what else do I have to do to prove that? Uh?” His attitude changed drastically when he replied, back to his normal self and almost apologetic. I didn’t believe he would ever apologize for anything, all he did was act on his own accord, for his own silly entertainment. “I know you can do well with the right incentive—but I’m the incentive. And I won’t be there tomorrow. We’ll be relying on how fucked up I made you this far to see how good you’ll do.” There was a short pause, it was odd to not have a conversation he had overly turned sexual for once. It was almost normal, he added to that feeling of normalcy when he said, “Trust me, I know you can do it. The other guys though, they need more proof. Call it an initiation, our leader has some trust issues.” “I’m not fucked up, but that doesn’t mean I’ll fail.”
Hesitant, I asked, “Still… what will happen if I do fail?”
His answer, like a sharp knife, cut the veil of safety I believe I had by being under his protection. How stupid I was to have believed that if anyone could simply kill me without caring I was Hanma’s protégé, “They’d probably put a bullet in your head, because you’d be a liability.” He must have heard my mute gasp. The pressure added on my shoulders, one that made me scared to misstep, to even make one mistake—what if I stammered, what if I tripped, what if I had to kill someone? I did not want to get a bullet in the head, I did not want to die, because I needed to prove I was not a bad choice. If I was going to be a part of that stupid organization, I was going to show I can be useful, no matter the reasoning Hanma had upon choosing me. “Which I won’t be. How hard can it be? I can do it, yeah sure. We wouldn’t want you to have a bad reputation because you brought in someone useless to that little gang of yours.” I said in a half-confident, half-humoristic manner. If I said it out loud, I was bound to believe I was going to make it, right?
“Atta girl, you should get a reward for being good like that—“ “Gross, I’m hanging up. You should learn to read the mood, because this? It’s not it.” He groaned, the chair on which he was sitting creaked loudly as he probably leaned back. “Let me set the mood and it’ll be just good, you’re in your bed, right?” Rolling my eyes, I sighed loudly and did not reply. But I did not hang up either. I was aware of the message it sent… And yet, I did not move from my spot and waited for him to say something more. All I heard was a soft chuckle then a metallic sound. Why was my heart beating like that? It felt wrong to stay on call knowing where he was leading this conversation, fuck did it feel wrong, but thrilling. “What time is it, doll?”
“Half past midnight.” Shit, my voice was weak, why was I whispering if there was no one in my house? I swore under my breath and laid down in bed, it felt like a déjà-vu and like that time, there was this throbbing between my legs. “Perfect, can my birthday gift be a pic of my girl?” “Shouldn’t you find someone else to help you get that relief?” I tried to not let it show through my tone that I was annoyed he had said that; after all, he could just as well go to a brothel and see other women. He had done so a few days ago, so why not now? Why would I play along with his little sexual needs and give him pictures of myself if he could go pay for it? “Nah, I want you to take that bathrobe off like that time on the balcony. But this time, willingly.”
I could not hold back the unconvinced laugh that escaped my lips upon hearing those words. The man must have had a few drinks to dare ask for such things—who was I kidding, of course not. He simply had the audacity to not care less if he did not get it. And if he did get a picture, it would only prove his hold on me was tightening, something I slowly came to believe was true when I still considered doing it. My fingers danced over the knot on my stomach, “I don’t know what makes you think I’ll do that, when all you ever did to me was trample on my boundaries.“ “Did I, now? Maybe I broke a door, but I never forced you to do anything, not really. Coerced? Maybe, but how thrilling is it? I’m helping you out of your boring life, aren’t I?” A sound of surprise got stuck in my throat, so I did not reply. I would’ve liked to tell him I enjoyed my boring life, but over this past week, I had realized how much fun it lacked and that he was the reason for the few days it was interesting.
“So, help me break my own boredom, show me that pretty body of yours.” “How about checking on that woman?” Of course, he had to play dumb and I could hear his smile when he asked, “What woman?” With a clenched jaw, I mumbled, “The one from the photo you sent.“ “Oh! That’s what’s going on, you’re jealous, shit that’s funny.” Was I jealous? Fuck, was I getting jealous over nothing? I was not allowed to feel like that, I barely knew the man, but part of me felt special when he chose me out of anyone to join his organization. How stupid was that? With a sardonic laugh, I said, “Jealous of what? Because—“ “You weren’t the one who had my hand on your ass, because you wanna be the one grinding on my dick.” He said mockingly, yet in a flirtatious way. As flirtatious as it could be when said in such a vulgar manner, but while I hated it when he said shit like that, I could not ignore the effect it had on me. Why did it make me feel turned on?
“I wish—you, you wish you had your hands all over me.” Of course, I had to fuck up like that, he would not let me see the end of this, but I could still save it, “Maybe that’s why you wanted me to join your ranks? But I fucking dare you to put your hands on me next time, you’ll see what happens.” I could hear him breathe against the microphone, he was doing it again. I forgot he got off on my anger, my frustration, it riled him up in the best ways. “Yeah? What will you do?” He breathed out, he was having fun. I could hear the lazy smile on his lips as he continued, “Because if I see you, it’s just a matter of time before you’re moaning my name. That stupid confidence you have? I’ll fuck it out of you, you’ll be begging for me to let you cum, your legs open wide like your mouth, both aching to be filled with my cock.” He swore under his breath then I heard him groan in pleasure, the sound made me ache, making me undo the knot of my bathrobe and bring my hand to my sex.
The phone was on the pillow right next to my ear, I could hear the wet noises of his hand around his cock making me feel like a voyeur, but I liked it. Repeating his words in my head, I surprised myself by how much I loved the idea of him having me beg in pleasure. Using my fingers exactly how I liked it, I was rubbing myself; it was made easier by how wet I had become because of him. It’s wrong, I thought as I arched my back when I grazed my aching clit, he’s crazy, I reminded myself, but it only made my heart race faster. “Or maybe I won’t need to do that—“ I caught myself off guard by whining when he said that and covered my mouth in the hopes he had not heard me. My cheeks were aflame upon hearing his laugh, “Oh, yeah you’ll just kneel when I tell you to, you’re already so obedient…” He trailed off in a sultry tone, “After all, you shot a man just for me. Shit, what I’d give to fuck you against that railing, your hands gripping that shit like your life depended on it.”
I could feel his hands on my hips, something he had done so many times already—except this time, I wanted it and he wasn’t here to do it. Those hands that were tainted by the sins he had committed, I wanted to taint them myself. I wanted them all over my body, trailing over my skin, his mouth on my neck as he’d slide his fingers inside me, laughing at how desperate I am for him. His cold earring brushing against my skin, making me shiver as he’d bite my shoulder hard, his fingers fucking me as he’d tell me— “Good girl, that’s what I wanna hear, I knew you’d give the best show. I should record those moans of yours.” My eyes flashed open when I realized what I had been doing. It was too late when I understood I had been moaning loud enough for him to hear instead of keeping it in; grabbing the phone, I ended the call in shame and closed my bathrobe as I made my way to the bathroom to wash my hands.
“Fuck, what was that? Why did you do that? Shit, shit, shit, there is no way he’s letting this go.” I mumbled when I dried my hands. Running my hands through my hair, I gripped it tightly at the roots and exhaled in anger, “That’s fucked up, what even got me off in that shit?” Catching a glimpse of myself in the mirror, my hair was disheveled, and I was slightly sweating from the warmth of earlier. Scoffing at the state I was in, I said, “You need fucking help, you need sleep, get a grip.” If my reflection had its own conscience and truly reflected my soul, it’d be smirking at how stupid I looked to then tell me it was too late. Which was true. I was down bad for nothing, the change that bastard had brought in my life felt like a breath of fresh air and part of me was grateful for it, even if that fresh air smelled like iron, rust and gave a metallic taste to the tongue.
It was sick, it was blood and death.
It compelled me to stay.
That feeling scared me and when faced with something that scared me, I wanted to run. Something easy to do when not being pushed around, so I slithered into bed to forget about what happened. Falling asleep was harder than expected, or perhaps I was a fool to think I could have passed out just like that… Whichever it was, it took me more than an hour to fall asleep and even as I did so, Hanma was on my mind. He haunted my workplace, my house and now my dreams. If Hanma was obsessed with me, I don’t know what it said about me to dream of him, but he was never going to know. I was going to ignore him, run his errand and wait until the next one.
That was my determined state of mind when I woke up in the morning, startled by a call from an unknown number. The sun had not even risen, the cold the night had brought in its wake made me too lazy to get out of bed to grab my phone, but when I thought it could be the person for the errand, I rolled out of bed fast to pick up, “Yes?“ “Be out of your house in 30 minutes, someone will come and get you.” Before I could ask anything: the car brand, who I was supposed to wait for, what they looked like—they had hung up. At first, I looked at my phone trying to comprehend what had happened, then the information reached my still half-asleep brain, “30 minutes! What am I even supposed to wear? Is it something official or… is it more of digging a body out of its grave?” I pondered out loud. Since I had no information on whatever I had to do but run an errand, I chose black pants and a black shirt. I had no choice but to put on my usual coat, but I hoped it would not get ruined.
On my way out, my hand hovered over a pair of sunglasses, for anonymity as they would use in movies. It’ll make me look even more suspicious, I’m not taking this. Humming in satisfaction, I looked inconspicuous enough that it could still look like I was going to work or grocery shopping. Both worked, not underdressed or overdressed, just perfect. I made sure to leave my wallet at home, if I were to drop it wherever I was going and leave any proof of who I was it would be fucked. All I had was my phone and winter gloves in my pockets, but I also made sure to tuck the gun in the back of my pants. It felt weird to have this weight, but if it meant I was safer out on that errand, I suppose I could take it.
When I was out in the morning cold, I checked the time and saw I still had 10 minutes left. Deciding to wait outside, I thought I'd check the mailbox to see if I had any mails; after all, that was one more painful thing adulthood brought: bills. There was nothing to pay among my mail, but something was off, a completely blank letter with no recipient nor address from which it came from. It meant someone had dropped it themselves in my mailbox. Hesitantly, I ripped it open and saw a paper on which an address was written, along with a message: “Be at this address at 5PM if you wish to see Hanma alive. Do not tell anyone, do not bring anyone. If we find out someone has been warned, a bullet will be put in his head.” They had underlined a few words on the note to emphasize what I should not do.
I did not have time to read over the letter before a car pulled up to the side of the road. Looking over my shoulder, I folded the paper a few times to shove the small item in my back pocket and hurry to the car. When I tried to open the door, it was locked; I was about to knock on the window when it rolled open and Ran’s head popped from it, “Password?” His face was dead serious, making me panic for a moment. A password? All I had been given were 30 minutes to get ready, they never said I had to give a password. Should I come up with something, should I—“Ran, can’t you see she’s pissing herself?” The mechanical sound of the car unlocking alerted me that I could get in, which I did in the span of a few seconds.
Ran sighed in disappointment on the passenger seat, telling the other man, Rindou was his name if I remembered well, that it was boring. “Yeah, but now you can fuck with her and we can also get to that shitty drop-off, call it productivity.” I did not expect the man to talk like that, he had acted composed the entire time at the warehouse the first time I had met them all. But from what I could see, he was as unhinged as the man by his side. Ran laughed in excitement and rested his elbow on the seat as he looked at me, contorted in a god-awful manner, “Heard ya slept well?” he nodded my way. Unsure if I could joke around with them, I shrugged and kept my eyes on him in case he decided to do anything crazy, “As well as one would when brutally awakened at 5 in the morning…” A barked laugh escaped the braided man’s lips, he threw his head back and nudged the driver’s elbow. “She’ll be useful if we gotta talk with rich people,” Ran then repeated my sentence mockingly, making the other man laugh.
Laughing, Rindou said my name and continued, “What my brother’s saying is that you sure kept Hanma busy this week. Got a liking for criminal dick?” The first thing my body did was tense, then my cheeks burst aflame. I kept my face as emotionless as possible, but it was hard not to feel embarrassed when both brothers burst out laughing at that. With a strong voice I replied, “He’s obsessed with me, but that’s it. Nothing is going on, I am just here to help with whatever you need help with.” Ran smirked as he looked over his seat to give me a wicked grin, “Yeah? And if I need help getting off, will you also call me—“ he could not even finish his sentence that he was laughing his ass off, both him and his brother having too much fun.
I was feeling sick. Maybe because I did not have time to have breakfast, or maybe because I realized privacy was not something that existed in this organization. I would have felt uncomfortable if they had learned things about my past, but this was not my past, it had happened almost a week ago. At least, I hoped they weren’t talking about the events of last night. The mention of Hanma reminded me of the letter and I felt anxious too, but I could not linger on that yet, I had to focus on the errand. Looking off to the window, I scoffed dryly, “Looking like that, I’m sure you’re a regular at the brothel. Ask for your usual whore and she’d be more than happy to help you out, I’ll pass the offer.” The man grinned manically while his brother cackled, pushing him while telling him I wasn’t wrong. Ran’s eyes weren’t leaving mine, I did not know if he was going to beat me up or praise me for making them laugh like that.
Turning my head slowly, I met his gaze and quirked a brow, “Sorry, do you need help getting the brothel’s phone number? Should I make your appointment myself?” Stop talking, they’re crazy enough to crash this car and leave you out there. If you keep roasting them, they’ll—“You’re a funny one,” He stated with a grin, “Don’t know how long you’ll last with a mouth like this, though,” With a onceover, his smile was wicked once more, “But I like you.” Ran said in a lowered tone, one I could almost describe as threatening but the words did not match the tone. Sitting back on his seat properly, he glanced at his brother and said, “Hanma should keep his bitch on a leash cause I don’t mind welcoming strays.”
An unwelcomed shiver ran down my spine once more at the mention of Hanma but also at the vulgar comment of the man. From then on, I decided to ignore whatever they were saying until we reached our destination. It was hard to do so with how loud they were talking so early in the morning, but when I started to doze off, I caught a glimpse of the rising sun. Blinking myself awake I straightened my back and focused back on the road. “Did something keep you awake last night?” Rindou asked sarcastically, making his brother snort a laugh. I didn’t reply, but he did not shut up still, “Shit, Ran, do you think she sexted that fucker all night?” “I’ll bet on phone sex, Hanma loves when they’re vocal-“ Rindou shook his head, pointing at me with his thumb, “That bitch? Isn’t vocal. ‘Hasn’t uttered one fucking word of the whole trip. But you know, it could be a ‘good girl in the streets, freak in the sheets’ kind of situation.” Rindou continued.
As he parked the car, Ran cackled a laugh, “Crazy in the streets, crazy in the sheets. The bitch shot a man, remember that?” Before they could continue talking, I unfastened my seatbelt and tried to open the door to leave but found it locked once more. Sighing in annoyance, I stayed facing the window and waited for them to open but instead they moved on their seat to both look at me. “D’you mind? We’re talking here.” Rindou said with a dead serious face.
“Yeah? But I’m done listening to your assumption on my sex life.” “It’s a debate, woman! It could easily be settled if you told us how you were in bed.” Ran scoffed was a stupid laugh, one that reminded me of Hanma somehow. Looking at them from over my shoulder at first, I scooted back on my seat, the one in the middle and leaned over to both men. They were intrigued for sure, so with a knowing smile I leaned over even more, “Here’s how it is…” before I could say anything, I pressed the button to unlock the car and opened the car door to leave the car rapidly. I slammed it shut behind me and wrapped my coat tight around my form when the cold of the morning hit my skin, it had been so warm inside the car, so warm I was dozing off. Now I was very much awake, hyperaware almost. Two thuds follow when the brothers left the car.
Ran had an extended baton in hand while Rindou simply threw his coat on, not even looking at me. Their mood was very different from the one in the car, their expression was serious- except for the lazy grin adorning Ran’s features. As the man with the purple freed his hair from the collar of his coat, he threw me a glance, “We get in, threaten the guards if they don’t wanna be bribed. While we do that shit, you walk to the back and look through the files for the name Mai Koyuki.” I had heard that name before, but I did not tell them. Instead, I nodded and followed them without a word.
I only now paid attention to the building, it was fairly big but not as big as the firm I worked out. If my memory served me well, this was some sort of building archives- it was confusing to see these sorts of people inside such building, but money was not the only currency. Information was too, which means they would not just rob banks or deal drugs, even if I did not know what they could do with anything on Koyuki Mai- frowning when I had some semblant of coherent thought, I felt arms wrap around my shoulders. Both men had an arm on my shoulder, they tightened their hold and pushed me forward along them, “You look suspicious like that.” Rindou whispered as he stopped by the door and let go of me. Ran’s arm didn’t leave, instead his hand gripped my shoulder as he leaned in, “I told my brother we should have let you do the talking since you’re probably great with your mouth,” Rindou’s laugh made him pause. The purple-haired man was picking the lock of the backdoor while we stood behind him.
“You know, cuz why else would Hanma have chosen you?” Huffing a laugh, I elbowed him in the side and held back a pained moan when he gripped my elbow tight to stop me dead in my initiative. Meeting his gaze, there was a playful gleam to his eyes that seemed familiar but I did not let myself bask in that familiarity, “Ah, that’s why- feisty uh?” When I tried to pry my arm from his hold, he tightened it once more, pulling me to him to grip my chin with force and making me look up at him from an awful angle. His eyes travelled down my body, stopping at my stomach, “Rindou she’s like a toy, look I can make her do whatever I want!” He then turned me around, one hand holding both my hands behind my back while he free hand lifted my shirt slightly, caressing my stomach, “Think she’ll be as good as a whore- Oh?” He stopped everything, making me tense up.
Ran let go of me, pushing me towards the wall and grabbing the gun from my backside as he did so, “What do we have here?” He asked in an intrigued and mocking tone. Glaring at him, I reached for the gun only to have him raised his arm to keep it out of my reach, “What’s the magic word?” “Hand me my gun back, please.” His eyes widened in surprise at first before flashing with something dark, it was gone quickly as he dropped it and let me catch it the best I could. Of course, I almost dropped it, but I managed to hook my finger to the guard and secure it. “How polite? Do you swear or is that against daddy’s rules?” he asked like that a bastard. Simply because I did not play along his stupid childish game.
Noticing Rindou had unlocked the door, I walked past him and instead tucked the gun to my front, covering it with my shirt, “I can absolutely tell you you’re a piece of shit, don’t worry. But you know, maybe having a dad is once thing that differ you and I, uh?” The laugh that escaped his lips was frightening, but once I had stepped inside, I was aware he was going to have to put on his scary underground face on. He was not going to be so openly playful, instead he would turn crazy and insane, something he and Hanma had in common when intimidating people. Although Hanma was probably better at looking serious and normal than Ran, the braided man always had that smile to him that showed he was having fun, fucking around with people. Hanma could almost pass as a businessman.
Feeling myself grow wings, I instigated. “You know Ran, one thing that makes Hanma better than you is that he doesn’t look like a crazy crackhead.” I caught his attention, “It must be the hair,” Gesturing to myself to mimic some braids, I continued, “I’m sure women love pulling on those braids, but I can’t really take you seriously. Imagine the people you’re intimidating?” Before he could reply, his brother placed a hand on his shoulder and pointed at the woman at a desk in front of an elevator.
Both brothers walked there with confidence and were about to flirt, from the expression on their face, but the woman stood up and pointed at the door. I could not hear what she was saying, but seeing Ran’s hand grip the baton tighter, I knew he was losing patience. Rindou glanced my way and gestured for me to come, I rushed hurriedly to their side and kept my mouth shut, only to have the purple-haired man say, “Tell the lady she should cooperate.“ The woman looked at me with wide eyes and caught my gaze, her hand slowly moving on the desk, “Are you here against your will? Are you—“ I felt bad for interrupting her, but I did it and with the most serious and fearless look I could muster, I said, “Let’s raise our hands, shall we?” she did so rapidly, her eyes wide. “We just need one file, you don’t need to know which one, just let us use the elevator and we’ll do all the work.” Her hands were shaking, her eyes glanced at the button under the desk, I knew it was there from working at a lot of high-risk places.
Bumping my foot against Rindou’s, I whispered, “There’s a button, she could—“ he did not let me finish talking before he jumped over the desk and wrapped his arm around the woman's neck, pulling her away from the desk. I stood frozen on the spot when he did so, terrified of what he had done. The woman went limp in his arms, and he made sure to put her on the floor before sitting on her chair and gesturing for me to go on, “The file, come on. We don’t have a lot of time.” Placing my hands on the desk, I climbed on top of it and behind it to reach the elevator, my hand blocking it open. Glancing at him, I saw a little light under the desk and debated for a moment whether to tell them or not, but something in the back of my mind forced me to tell them.
“Still… what will happen if I do fail?”
“They’d probably put a bullet in your head, because you’d be a liability.”
“Guys, she pressed the button. We have, like, 4 minutes at best.” Their eyes widened and for the first time, there was panic in them, for the first time I saw one of those criminals fuck up, lose control of something as simple as getting a file. Thinking for a moment, I knew they could never look like they worked here, they looked like gang members or at least dealers of something. My brain was working so fast I could not hear their interactions, their stressed-out exchange. Probably 3 minutes now, I could pass as someone who works here, I could go downstairs and—“I’ll stay, you two go wait two streets down. I’ll go to the archives and get the file. When the police arrive, I’ll come up and tell them I did not hear anything, you know because I was working downstairs.” They took in consideration the offer, clearly weighing the pros and cons of the situation. I understood why they could be hesitant considering how fresh I was in this organization, but we did not have time. They had to think faster than that.
“Less than 3 minutes, you get out or you get caught for being idiots.“ Ran sighed and looked at me with a wicked grin, “Alright, we’ll get out. But rat us out and I’m not against arson, your house will burn down, yeah?” With a worried look, I nodded and got inside the elevator, watching both brothers walk away. I hurriedly said, “Do something about the cameras!” When the elevator doors closed, I let out a sigh and looked at my shaking hands. I had them tucked inside my pockets the entire time and only now realized the crescent shapes in my palms. “Don’t fuck up, he says. But he didn’t tell me I’d be working with fucking idiots!” I said in panic. When the doors opened again, I quickly browsed the hanging signs to find the letter K then hurried to the aisle in which those files were stashed.
I was used to scanning for mistakes in the field I work in, so it did not take long to find the name Koyuki, but it was not as fast as the police. Once I had the file in hand, I debated folding it or not and with a grimace did just that and tucked it in my back pocket, covering it with my coat. When I got back inside the elevator, I could not hear anything but the humming of the pulley system of the lift. The silence was deafening and made me busy myself by looking back at the letter I had received. From all the rush we had been in I had almost forgotten about that, but now that I was in the safety of the elevator, I swore under my breath. “Since when do criminals get kidnapped? He said he was a wanted man, but not that wanted… Fuck, should I tell someone?” I did not have anyone’s phone number but his, he had made sure to be the only contact I had to this organization. About to reprimand myself for not asking for Kokonoi’s number, the door opened and made me straighten my back only to force myself to look more meek.
It was time for acting, for a change of attitude.
Widening my eyes in surprise, I raised my arms in defense. “Officers? What… what happened?” Glancing at the unconscious woman on the ground, I read the name on her nametag then walked out of the elevator hesitantly. Fully turning around to look at her, I acted surprised, “Nanami?! What happened to her?!” Only your colleague choking her unconscious, nothing much, I told myself sarcastically. “I’m sorry, who are you?” One of the officers asked. Looking at her with worry, I covered my mouth and glanced back at the woman on the floor. “I—I work here, I needed to put something down in the archive, what happened here?!” The officer placed her hands on my shoulders to calm me down. I was more than calm, but if she believed I was panicking it meant I was doing great.
“That’s what we’re trying to find out, we received an alert. It seems your friend pressed the silent alarm.“ “Is she dead?! Please, tell me she isn’t dead, I don’t think I can live with that, I—” covering my mouth, I faked being sick. The officer let go of me and stood aside, from the corner of my eyes I could see Nanami stirring awake. In a rushed course of action, I uttered, “I’m going to be sick, bathroom.” The woman nodded and let me go as I walked quickly to the ‘bathroom’. I remembered the way out and once I made sure no one was walking behind me, I closed the door discreetly and scurried down the street. Don’t act suspicious, look normal, you’re walking fast because you’re late for work, I tried to convince myself. I took the file from my back pocket and unfolded it; whatever it was, I hoped it was worth it for how exposed it made me.
Focused on my walk, I did not see the car of the brothers and was startled by the honking behind me. I gave them a dirty look on my way to the vehicle and was more than happy when the car was unlocked. Getting inside, I threw them the file and fastened my seatbelt. Before they could speak, I gripped the back of each of their seat, “You better tell me you have someone in your fucking gang that knows how to hide a fuck-up, because they know our faces.”
They laughed at that, “Yeah they do, we’ve been on TV many times.”
It put things in perspective and anxiety rose inside me. They didn’t care, they could bribe people to look away, they had the strength to beat people up if they decided to take matters into their own hands and tried to kill them. But I did not. “I still have a non-criminal life, I need whatever camera they have to be out of commission. That’s what I’m good for, I have a normal life, they don’t know who I am! So you need to get rid of whatever—“ “First, you’re not the one giving orders, yeah?” Rindou said, basically telling me to shut up. Doing just that, I pressed my lips shut and clenched my jaw, annoyed at his attitude. “Now, we got this, right?” He showed the file.
“I got this. Because you fucked up.”
“Can I beat her up?” I heard Ran ask Rindou. The purple-haired man, just as annoyed, shook his head and handed him the file. “It’s a team effort, the errand is done. We bring you home, and you let us deal with whatever happened in there however we see fit, understood?” I understood, yes. But I did not like it. Hanma had told me to not fuck up, which I didn’t, but I felt like it did not stop there, like I was still on thin ice even back in the car. It was also about sitting one out, of letting go of your pride and trusting your people, or something like that. With a strained smile, I nodded. “Sure.”
Rindou smiled just as thinly and turned around, starting the car. The car ride was different than when we got here; the brothers were a lot more serious, Ran read out loud the parts of the file he found important, asking for his brother’s opinion. And while I could have been the nosy type and listened in on their conversation, I was on the internet instead, checking the address where I had been told to meet up if I wanted to see Hanma alive. It was not too far from the warehouse in which we had first met, but if what I read was right, the building was abandoned. It was an old factory that had been shut down a few years back for unsafe conditions, the equipment was still there but they never found the time to remove it, which made it even more unsafe to go there.
I was aware it could be a trap and I clearly did not have the upper hand, but what else could I do?
Moreover, why was I so upset, why did I care about his life so much? I could just let him be out there and keep on with my life, if anything it was an opportunity to return to my normal life. So why was I checking the route to get there? Maybe it was actually a prank? I should make sure it wasn’t.
Huffing to myself, I opened my conversation with Hanma and texted him, hoping he’d reply quickly.
Me: Hey, where are you?
I stared at my screen for a moment and when he did not reply right away, I shoved my phone in my pocket and sighed sadly as I got lost in thought, looking at the fast-passing landscape. It made it easier to ignore the conversation happening in the front, it also made time pass fast enough that I was surprised when we had arrived at my house.
Ran turned in his seat and looked at me with a grin, “A pleasure working with you, can’t wait to do it more.” He winked. Rindou joined and turned around too, only half-way, “You’re reliable enough, let’s see how it goes with time, maybe you’ll be less stuck up.” Shaking my head, I pushed the door open and looked back at them with a tired smile, “Had so much fun carrying your asses out there. Crossing my fingers to work with Koko next time.” With that I slammed the door. I could hear the brothers laugh at my words as they opened the window to call out my name. Turning around once I had crossed the road, I waited for them to speak. I did not expect them to be cryptic.
“We’re counting on you!” Rindou said, “Make us proud!” Ran gave me a thumbs up then they drove off, leaving me confused and lost in the middle of the street. Standing there a moment, I then got inside my house and took off my coat to make my way to the kitchen where I started making myself something to eat. As I did so, I still felt off without Hanma’s reply and thought he was just busy and hadn’t seen my message, so I called him.
When I reached the automatic voicemail, I hung up, exhaling in frustration.
“You’re telling me this fucker got kidnapped? How does a member of a powerful organization get kidnapped? Isn’t he like 2 meters tall? That doesn’t make sense!” I exclaimed, feeling the tears of frustration welling up. It was not just because the man wasn’t there that I was crying, it was because of what it entailed. If he was out of the picture, I had no protection, I had no one lenient enough to teach me whatever I needed to survive out there. He had shown me the use of the gun; while Sanzu was getting mad, he was somehow patient, it was sweet. “What did he even do to get kidnapped? Kill people? He probably killed anyone who saw the kill, it doesn’t make fucking sense!” Nor did it make sense for me to shed tears over that bastard, yet here I was.
Yes, here I was, now, gun in my pants, standing in front of an abandoned building, risking my life to save the one of the man that had turned it upside down. What was that routine I was used to? How did he manage to slither his way inside that routine, how did he manage to make me want him in my life? Whatever he had done, it left me standing in front of that factory, ready to do whatever it took to get him back alive.
As I stepped inside, I wrapped my hand around the gun in my back and thought of what Hanma had told me earlier.
“I’m helping you out of your boring life, aren’t I?”
How right he was.

Kbtbb Headcanon:
Ass, thighs or ✨Boobies✨
I have no explanation for this besides that i’m bored ;p
Includes: Eisuke, Ota, Soryu, Baba
Rating : NSFW
Eisuke:
This man would probably like all of them lol
But if he had to choose he’d pick thighs.
Eisuke likes you wearing short dresses and skirts just so he can look at your thighs. Doesn’t matter if they’re thick or not, he just wants to grab them.
The type of person to place his hand on your thigh in the car, regardless if there is people with you. Tell him to stop and he’ll just move his hand higher.
He’ll always leave love bites on your thighs after going down on you, and he’ll bruise them with his grip.
Eisuke’s had daydreams about resting of your thighs, but he wouldn’t tell you that.
Sometimes when he’s had a frustrating day, he’ll tell you to sit on his lap, and wrap your legs around his waist. Then he can your thighs pressing against him.
Something about you pressing your thighs against his head as he eats you out turns him on as well.
Soryu:
This guy can’t go a single day without blushing about you boobs.
Whenever you press up against him and he can feel them, his entire face goes completely red. The bidders give him so much shit for it.
He tries to be polite and not look, but whenever your wearing something with a low neckline he can’t help himself.
Whenever the two of you are in bed, his large hands fully engulf them, they’re so soft and warm. Que the hard-on
When he’s drunk he’ll try to be the little spoon. So he’ll wrap his arm around you and lay on your chests. It feels like heaven for him.
He’s had sexual fantasies about you pumping his cock with your breasts, but he’s too she to bring the idea up poor bb.
Ota:
Ota would probably come up behind you and just grab your ass for no reason. The man’s a menace.
He found out about his love for your ass when you and the bidders had to travel one day, and there weren’t enough seats in the car. He offered for you to sit on his lap, and for the rest of the ride he had to his his face behind your back so the others didn’t notice his read face or heavy breathing.
He’ll immediately take you to bed if he ever sees you in leggings. Walk into the penthouse in those and you’ll never leave the bedroom.
He loves to grab your ass during sex too
Whenever your in the kitchen alone, he’ll come up behind you and just press himself into you. Pushing his lower area into your ass in the process.
Would also spank you as punishment. Probably has one of those paddles as punishment or something.
Baba:
The trickiest at finding a favourite, since he just loves your body in general.
“Your so beautiful Mc, how would I possibly be able to choose a favourite?~”
That sweet talk aside, his fav would probably be your thighs.
Man lowkey prays for your thighs squeezing his head as he tastes you.
If your sitting next to him, his hand will always subconsciously drift to your thigh, rubbing it with his thumb or tracing circles on them.
Unlike Ota, he’ll actually enjoy it if you wear leggings around the penthouse.
Loves any sex position wear he can cup your thighs. He’s not into bruising them, but he’ll definitely leave love bites.

“Do you remember the first time we met?”
“You mean when you tripped and almost fell in front of everyone on your first day in elementary school?”
“No! oh my god, I told you to forget that!”
“Pftt, how can anyone ever forget that? I’m sure soryu and luke remember too”
“I hope they don’t haha, but really, we’ve come so far” Yuki commented, reminiscing about one certain day.
Eisuke’s POV
“So children, today a new student will be joining us. This is Yuki Freya. I hope all of you will be nice to her and welcome her warmly!” The teacher, Miss Hale as she introduced herself, addressed the class.
“Yuki, you’re going to sit with Eisuke. Please raise your hand so she can know where you are, Eisuke!” Miss Hale announced.
The clumsy girl, Yuki, made her way over to me earning several stares from both girls and boys present in the classroom.
“Hi, i’m Yuki!” She enthusiastically said extending her hand towards me.
I shook her hand, “Eisuke”
“Nice to meet you!” She said and then turned towards the teacher as she started her lesson, not giving me a chance to reply.
At least her smile is cute.
»»»»
Yuki didn’t follow me around like the other girls in my class did. Instead, she became friends with Luke and Soryu who happened to be my best friends. They seemed to like her a lot. Now that was rare.
It was P.E. and the teacher partnered me with Yuki despite the other girls begging him to partner them up with me. I didn’t complain considering she wasn’t annoying like the others.
“Are you ready?” She asked me tying up her left leg with my right one, preparing for the three legged race. Why is this even a thing? Couldn’t we just race like normal people?
“Of course I am” Eisuke Ichinomiya is always ready.
It didn’t take long for me to come off my high horse when Yuki couldn’t keep up with my fast pace and fell down, twisting her ankle.
Yuki groaned in pain and tried to get up but failed. The P.E. teacher came forth and asked me to carry her on my back to the infirmary as a punishment which was just across the field.
“But it’s not my fault that she fell!” I retorted back despite knowing it was partly my fault she fell since I was moving too fast for her.
“She was your partner Ichinomiya, it’s your responsibility.”
“Fine” I said when I realised there was no getting out if it. With that, i asked her to get on my back and carried her to the infirmary.
As the nurse tended to her injury, she turned towards me with that same cute smile “Thank you, Eisuke”
I instantly felt a stab of guilt.
“Hmph, I didn’t do it for you” I didn’t notice the blush that crept on my cheeks but I did notice the way my heart flipped. Just as she was about to say something, Soryu and Luke came looking for her.
“Are you alright?” Luke asked to which she replied with a grin and swinging her leg back and forth.
“Never better!”
Seriously how can someone be so cute.

high school
The murderous intent was evident in my eyes as I gazed at Yuki laughing at something the principal’s cockroach son said.
In the beginning, Frank tried to befriend me but I felt something was off and eventually it became very clear to me that he only wanted me to be a handy tool in his pocket ready for emergencies, so I shook him off pretty quickly. Somehow, Frank’s always lingering around me. He’s always loved to single me out whenever I express disinterest in something, in hopes that others would join in. Instead, the girls that fawn over me often tell him to shut up and then they’re confronted by his fangirls and in the end, it’s just a massive cat fight.
He’s nothing but trouble. As the principal’s son, he’s quite popular, almost as popular as me, and he can pretty much get away with anything. Luckily for him, he’s very sly. Hiding behind his minions, he’s never once flat out done anything. Good with underhanded remarks, letting other people take all of the blame, coercing them into doing what he wants. His little groupies pay no heed to any of this, all because he’s handsome. But there’s a large group of people who don’t like him, but nobody has ever said anything straight to his face, thanks to his feared status.
There were rumours earlier this year that on Valentine’s Day, Frank asked Yuki out but she told him that she wanted to focus on school. I’m surprised Frank didn’t get angry at her and punch a wall or something. That sounds like something he would usually do. While I’m proud of Yuki for turning him down, part of me hopes that what she said was just a lie she made up so she could just get away from him. But now, Frank and Yuki are partners on this project, I’m convinced this teacher is trying to set those two up. Soryu, who was partnered with this over-zealous girl looked as if he would smash either his own head or the girl’s if she didn’t stop with her chattering. I’ve been paired up with Luke, unfortunately I’ve been neglecting our work because keeping an eye on Yuki has become too much of a priority. I hate how he gets too close to her, the way he continues to flirt with her and the smug look that’s plastered on his face when he realises that I’m watching. All Luke can do is sigh and shake his head at me.
“I’d gladly switch with Yuki if I didn’t have to put up with him, Eisuke...”
“Hey watch out, you’ll hurt yourself!” Yuki yells, pushing him away before she yelps in pain, drawing her hand back.
For a split second, it’s like I can only see red. I march right up to their desk, in close proximity to the two only to see a red mark across Yuki’s hand. It looks painful. If Frank hadn’t been so careless then Yuki wouldn’t have gotten hurt. What were you thinking!? Why do you need to care so much about everyone else!?
“Oops, I’ll take you to the infirmary.”
“No, I’ll take her.”, I sternly tell Frank. Yuki insists it’s not too big of a deal and that she’s fine.
“Hmph, alright. I’ll make it up to you another way then, Yuki.”
“You don’t need to. Stay away from my girl.” I felt Yuki tense up beside me the moment those words left my mouth. Thinking nothing of it, I took her dainty uninjured hand in my right one and pulled her along with me towards the infirmary. Yuki, being the obedient and polite girl she was followed without a hint of refusal.
Upon our arrival to the medical department of the school, the nurse immediately treated Yuki’s injury. As I gazed at the familiar scene before my eyes, a certain memory played in my head.
“What’s with you and infirmaries?” Were the words that came out of my mouth the very second the school nurse disappeared, probably went back to her office.
She whipped her head towards me, a tiny smile adorning her graceful features. Adorable giggles escaped from her mouth indicating that Yuki too was reminiscing about that particular day.
“You’re too amiable for your own good.” I chuckled, moving to sit into the chair where the nurse was not long ago and grabbing her hand with the nasty burn on it.
“How dare he ruin your precious soft skin like this” Placing a gentle kiss on the back of her hand, I held onto it as I stared deep into her gorgeous blue eyes.
“Is it true you rejected him?” She stared back, cocking her head a little bit to her left at the question, confusion etched on her face.
“On Valentine’s Day, I heard he confessed to you but you turned him down, saying you wanted to focus on your studies. Is that true?” Her face lit up upon remembrance but an almost gloomy expression took over right after.
“Ah...yes, now that you mention it” I squeezed her hand a little tighter but not tight to enough to hurt her as I waited for her to continue.
“That’s only half true though..”
What?
“I also told him I like someone else.”
Oh.
I immediately loosened my grip on her hand.
So that’s why. Heh, what were you even thinking Ichinomiya?
Yuki glanced over to me, fidgeting in her seat with nervousness.
“Won’t you ask who it is?” This time, she grabbed my hand and lightly tug on it preventing me from standing up, causing her to hiss in pain.
“Does it even matter?” I sighed, patting her hand lightly with that flicker of hope in my heart slowly diminishing. As I was about to get on my feet a second time, she said those words which haltered my every movement, completely catching me off guard. Words i’ve wanted to hear for the longest time now from a certain girl I adored more than anything.
“It’s you, Eisuke.”
Good Lord.
“It’s always been you.”
Will I survive if my heart continues to beat this fast every time i’m around her? I’ll have to ask Luke later.
“Eisuke?” Yuki peered at my astounded face snapping me out of my daze. When I look back at her, I thought I could resist just pulling her into my arms and claiming her as mine but boy, was I wrong. I immediately grabbed her chin and captured her silky lips in a somewhat soft and gentle kiss. Laying every emotion bare into our first kiss, Yuki loosely wrapped her arms around my shoulders as she kissed me back with equal passion. We parted and just sat there basking in the pleasure of being in each other’s arms until I decided to break the comfortable silence since a significant amount of time had passed and we needed to go back to the lab.
“You’re mine and I won’t allow you to leave me.” She hummed in response and with a little peck on her lips, I pulled her up with me and exited the infirmary.
Our fingers intertwined perfectly as we walked back to the class feeling oddly at peace - mind, body and soul.
»»»»
“And Soryu teased us so much when we went back to class! But no one was surprised, I mean we were kind of inseparable...” Yuki said bashfully, tucking a strand of her hair behind her ear. The diamond of her engagement ring caught the light of the setting sun.
“It’s because they knew you were mine.” Professing my undying love for her, I place a fierce kiss on her lips imagining a bright future with my one and only,
“Always have been and always will be.”

FALLING IN LOVE WITH HIM (KBTBB HEADCANON)
how i think mc would’ve met + fallen in love with the bidders if she hadn’t been put up for auction.
oh and i added a song to go along with each scenario, enjoy!
a/n: the auctions don’t exist in this universe, so the bidders don’t know each other (assuming soryu, eisuke and luke didn’t stay in contact after high school). however, shuichi and hikaru are friends.
EISUKE
when mc worked at the tres spade, they’d often run into each other
she’d always catch his eye, but he wasn’t sure why
she was just like any other maid, after all
but to him, she seemed different somehow
one day, his curiosity got the best of him and he promoted her to the penthouse
at first, she was really shy and wouldn’t even look him in the eye
he’d try chatting her up (in his own way)
but she wouldn’t open up (understandably)
so one day, he asked her to make him coffee
their first conversation was about how eisuke liked his coffee
somehow, he managed to make her laugh
and slowly, she began warming up to him
since then, whenever she’d go up to the penthouse to clean, they’d end up just talking the entire time
mc got in trouble for it (and by trouble i mean, erika and tweedledee and tweedledum bullied her about it) but eisuke always defended her
if eisuke was too busy in his office to talk to her, he’d leave her a small present on the coffee table for her to find
things like jewelry, clothes, beauty products and sweets
in exchange, mc left notes and doodles for eisuke to find
once she even left a short comic that she’d written and illustrated for him to read
he saved them all
soon, their relationship turned flirty
eisuke would tease her constantly
sometimes, he’d jokingly pin mc down on the couch
or he’d give her little surprise kisses while she’d be cleaning
mc would always blush and get super flustered
in typical eisuke fashion, he’d play it off as a joke
but it was obvious he really liked her
soon, eisuke offered her to move into the penthouse
he blamed it on boredom and pulled them “it’s for work” card, but mc saw right through it
and she agreed
SORYU
i genuinely don’t think they would’ve ever met if it weren’t for the auctions
however, i could see them potentially meeting in a bookstore
it was that cliche, looking over the shelf, eyes meeting type of thing
soryu didn’t pay any mind to her at first, but he’d remember her face
he found himself thinking about her a lot
she was scared of him at first, but she found him really attractive
so they’d both go to the bookstore every few days, hoping they run into one another
they wouldn’t speak to each other though
but that doesn’t mean the staff of the bookstore didn’t take notice of their occasional glances
they were kinda suspicious because mc and soryu would always be in the store at the same time
so one day, after closing, the staff reorganized the shelves so that the romance section (mc’s favorite section) would be right besides the crime novel section (soryu’s favorite section)
hoping they’d talk to each other
and it worked!
when mc and soryu returned to the bookstore the next day, they realized that things had been move around
and found themselves shoulder to shoulder
mc eventually gathered up the courage to ask him what he was reading
and he offered to buy her a book he liked
in exchange, she bought him a book she liked
every few days, they’d purchase books for each other, and talk about the last books
mc began to leave notes in soryu’s books
and he left notes in hers too
notes turned to letters
and soon, a phone number was left on the bottom of one of the letters
OTA
they met at a museum
ota was there to look for inspiration
while mc was just wardering around on her lunch break
ota caught mc’s eye immediately, he’s the angelic artist after all
but she didn’t want to bother him, nor did she have the courage to talk to him in the first place
so she just pretended like she didn’t see him
when the paparazzi and ota’s fangirls catch wind that he’s at the museum, they all swarmed the place
ota frantically tried to find a place for hide
and luckily for him, mc found a way to sneak into the security guard’s office
she ushered him in and told him to hide under the desk
while waiting for the chaos to cool down, they joked around and laughed together
ota told mc she looked like his old dog and called her koro as a joke
she rolled her eyes, before bursting out laughing
he started treating her like a dog (asking her to sit, give paw, jump etc.) and she played along
they both laughed together hysterically at the end
when the chaos cooled down, ota left his hiding spot
but, not before asking her if he can “take her on a walk sometime”
she’d bark happily
i made mc a whiling participant to ota’s shenanigans because a big reason why i didn’t like ota’s main story was because i felt so bad for mc
MITSUNARI
they met after baba had stolen a painting at an gallery, owned by a child predator
ayame was chasing him down the street
with no where to go, baba ran into a random building
(that happened to be mc’s apartment complexe)
he entered a random apartment on the second floor
(which also happened to be mc’s apartment)
and hid inside her bathtub
when mc got home and found him inside her bathtub, she freaked out (obviously)
she yelled at him and beat him with a broomstick
somehow baba managed to talk her out of calling the cops by explaining the situation to her
after she calmed down, they drank some tea together and chit chatted
mostly about their jobs
baba teased her a lot about being a maid, while she simply blushed, too shy to tease back
but she couldn’t hide the fact that she found good looking
minutes turned to hours
and the next morning, mc woke up in her own bed
turns out, baba had carried her to her bedroom after she’d fallen asleep while they were talking
and sat at the foot of her bed until the crack of dawn
just to make sure she didn’t have any nightmares after the scare he gave her
to thank her for “the unforgettable night” she gave him, he left her a note with his phone number on it
and at the bottom, it was written to call him if she ever needed help
and he’d be there
mc didn’t think she’d ever use it, after all she wasn’t stupid, she knew a womanizer when she saw one
but when she got invited to a party a few days later, she realized that she needed a date
and who better was to call than the flirty thief she’d just met?
MAMORU
they met on the bus
mc was on her way to meet a friend
while she was sitting on the bus, reading her book, mamoru came stumbling in
mc noted that he looked sleepy
when he came towards her, she made sure to move her back out of the way so he could sit down
mere seconds after the bus began moving again, mamoru fell asleep
on mc’s shoulder
mc didn’t want to wake him up and ask him to move because he seemed so exhausted
so she let him sleep on her
she didn’t mind too much, besides she was only getting off at the last stop
and she thought he was pretty cute, but she’d never admit that
but then, the last stop came
and mamoru was still sleeping on her shoulder
mc wondered if he’d missed his stop or if he was getting off on the last stop too
she gently nudged him, calling out to him to wake up
when he woke up, he realized he’d missed his stop and started freaking out
he blamed mc for not waking him up at his stop
mc retorted that she didn’t know which stop was his
and they walked off the bus bickering
they continued arguing on the street too
until mamoru realized how stupid he sounded and somewhat apologized
mc was understandably annoyed that this man had wasted her time and stomped away
but before she could get far enough away from him, he called out to her
he asked her if he could apologize to her with some dinner
he expected her to say no
but instead, she told him she’d only go if he took her to the best ramen place in town
and he agreed
LUKE
like soryu, i can’t imagine them ever meeting if it wasn’t for mc being sold at the auctions
however, there is a possibility that they’d run into each other at the hotel
mc had just gotten transferred to the tres spade dubai
and luke had a meeting there with potential patient
while luke waited for the patient in the lobby, all of the female staff members were checking him out
of course, he is very handsome after all
mc didn’t pay too much mind, she admitted he was good looking, but this was the tres spade
handsome men came through those doors every day
so she simply walked by and continued her work
and luke and his patient eventually went to his suite
a few hours later, mc was asked to bring some refreshments to room 145
turns out, it was luke’s patient’s suite
she smiled politely at luke and his patient and placed the bottles of whiskey on the table in front of them
eyes wide like he was in a trance, he reached his fingertips towards her chest
panicked, mc was about to push his hands away and apologize, thinking he was reaching for her breast
but he wasn’t
instead, he began caressing her collarbones, while praising their beauty
mc and the patient stared at each other with big eyes, confused as to what to do
“uh.. dr foster, are you okay?”
mc was beginning to get flustered at how close luke was
so she gently placed her hands on his and pushed them off of her
she apologized and told him she had to go, and to call the front desk if he needed anything else
but before she could leave, luke called out to her
he asked her if she’d come to his clinic sometimes
he wanted to get x-ray’s of her collarbones
and as weirded out as mc was, she agreed
SHUICHI
they met while shuichi was staying at the tres spade japan on a business trip
mc had just finished cleaning the third floor
so she stepped on the elevator to make her way to the twentieth floor, where she’d end her shift
shuichi was already inside
she bowed to him, greeting him politely
he simply nodded his head
after pressing her floor button, she stepped back and stood besides shuichi
they rode in silence
until the elevator suddenly came to a harsh stop
mc began freaking out
and shuichi got frustrated
he tried mc calming down in his own way
she got pissed at him
but hey, at least she wasn’t panicking anymore
shuichi clicked the help button and they waited
and waited
after a while, while they sat on the floor, mc apologized to shuichi for the inconvenience
he assured her that it wasn’t her fault
after a brief moment of silence, she asked him why he was staying at the tres spade
and they began talking about work
soon, the conversation turned political
mc was a unsure because of how stiff shuichi was
she thought he was annoyed at her
but he wasn’t
in fact, shuichi was impressed by how educated mc was on the subject
and he loved how casually she spoke about it too
once help finally arrived, he couldn’t help but feel sad that the conversation had to come to an end
he genuinely loved talking to her
she was laid back, but intelligent, a combination he found very attractive
so he asked her she’d be his date that night to his business dinner
and she said yes
HIKARU
they met at work, of course
hikaru was always super friendly towards mc
he’d always help her when he had free time
sometimes he’d buy her food at the cafeteria
or bring her coffee from the local coffee shop
soon, mc began developing a little crush on him
at least, that was until he lured her to into a secluded area at the hotel and threatened her with a knife
turns out, he was going after the wrong person
his target’s wife coincidentally had the same first and last name as mc
hence why hikaru confused them
he apologized
but now that she knew who he really was, he couldn’t just let her go
so he told the manager that they were dating and he wanted mc to move in with him
unfortunately for mc, the manager said yes
and they moved in together
at first, mc was (understandably) afraid of hikaru
but soon, she warmed up to him
in fact, she actually began liking his sassy attitude better than his good guy persona
and there was no denying he was into her too
they played house together
they cooked together, cleaned together, watched shows together, built ikea furniture together
hell, they even argued about which type of cheese to buy at the grocery store
when hikaru had nightmares, they’d cuddle and mc would listen to him talk about his demons all night
hikaru was terrified she’d leave him one day
but she never did
RHION
they met at an antique store
rhion was looking for a new unique trinket to add to his collection
while mc was simply aimlessly wandering around the shop
when their eyes suddenly met
it was love at first sight
however, they were both too shy to come up to each other
so they just creeped on each other until the store closed
when it was time to go home, rhion instantly regretted not talking to her
he was upset, there was his chance to not be alone anymore, yet he blew it
he felt like a coward
but the next day, rhion got a knock at the door
and it was mc!
turns out, he had dropped his id while paying for his things at the antique store
and mc was there to return it
he told her that he’d “found his alice”
and invited her in for some tea
they talked until the early hours of the morning
she spent the night
then the week
then the month
and that’s when rhion realized, she wasn’t leaving
and he didn’t complain one bit

Clash of Red and Black! This one could be looooong.
Heiji tried T-T Of course Shinichi caught him out by asking him what he would do which he answered truthfully, which is the opposite of what he wants Shinichi to do.
The opening ending image containing all he important characters to the BO plot and Ran is not there because Gosho never intends for her to be involved deeper in the plot T-T She's just the prize Shinichi gets at the end for succeeding.
Sonoko has no chill XD Telling someone their family ran away before you could kill them is not the joke you think it is XD
Gosho, you cannot make Ran giving blood to Shinichi romantic when comparing it to siblings doing the same to one another. If anything, it just tells us about their strong family bond.
Oh Ran gets to take out the criminal for a change.
And Shinichi is teaching us how to avoid being caught in scams!
Jodie is keeping an eye out for Shinichi T-T Someone needs too.
Awww and Shinichi is trying to keep Eisuke safe. Well, he's also just cautious about him being used by the BO as well.
I forgot that to infiltrate the org Akai let himself get hit by a car in order to meet Akemi XD Hardcore.
So Eisuke's father is called irresponsible for abandoning his son (he's dead). I wonder who else have abandoned their children and have even put them in harms way, cough, cough.
<.< Oh fuck off Shinichi, Eisuke is a much better fit to Ran than you will ever be. Not that either of you deserve her, with how you end up treating her like a prize.
Trust me, Eisuke, having two people look identical in this series is not as rare as you think it is.
Ran didn't scream and cling to the nearest body this time when a black out happened. How rare, Gosho never misses a chance to make Shinichi insufferable when that happens.
Kogoro would be a much better detective if he stopped assuming that every death he encounters is a suicide. And by that, I mean it's annoying it's the option he jumps to all the time, even though the victim has told him he feared his life being taken just previously.
Shinichi has connected the condensation dots.
I genuinely can't stand Kogoro at times. Thank you Shinichi, please knock his ass out.
...And of couse Shinichi assumes that they're bathing together and is jealous because Ran is his possession, don't forget that :p Nevermind that Ran has made it pretty apparent that she cares about him and only him! God I hate the canon romances so much. They're just so gross and disrespectful to the characters.
Ai calling Shinichi out for hiding things from her, as she should. It wouldn't hurt him to share his opinions with Ai, you know, the person who studied both chemistry and biology and could actually help him confirm his theory.
Time for the true plot of these episodes to start!
Akai, you too, will become best friends with this "boy".
LMAO Akai telling Shinichi to not even bother with Eisuke's survival, the man has no chill.
And Shinichi has connected the dots again!
I love the three adults and one child talking about a deadly org as it's so absurded. Shinichi you do not fit and yet you are essential to their success.
Shinichi is so bad at lying T-T My boy, your life depends on it, learn how to do it better. At least he's warning the FBI he believes she's not as unconscious as she is appearing.
Akai: You do know you're putting yourself in a lot of danger, right?
Shinichi: Then you better not fuck up, big boy!
I love extremely conspicious vans in a parking lot. Definitely not at all suspicious.
Shinichi recorded being a little shit for evidence. We love to see our gremlin at work.
...This is why you don't speak about your very dangerous hostage in an open hallway of the hospital.
Akai: And I thought you trusted us.
Shinichi: Hah, do you think I'm dumb?
They're bonding T-T
And Akai and Shinichi know that it's time for a showdown with the crows.
Awwww Akai is complimenting Shinichi's intelligence T-T They're becoming such good friends.
And Shinichi is learning the complicated family tree of the Miyano's and the Akai's XD I still can't believe that Gosho forgot he made the two girlfriend and boyfriend who developed real feelings for one another only to made them cousins. Well, dating cousins isn't really all that frowned upon in Japan by the looks of it, just a lot more uncommon that it used to be but we've had romantic cousins in the series before. It's still funny because I genuinely think he forgot about it, and when you consider how long this series has been going on (30 years) it wouldn't be surprising.
Shinichi are you taunting Akai with your identity? To bond.
I still love the little boy in the group of FBI agents. One does not seem like he belongs XD
Oooh, I love the flowers. A nice touch to a start of a battle!
And Akai has touched the phone! All part of his and Shinichi's plan.
Time for the mind games to begin!
Poor Jodie, left in the dark by the boys and knocked out by Camel.
And a man gives up his life to save his daughter, even if it means traumatizing said daughter by killing himself in front of her, with her hand on the trigger.
LOL poor Camel. Akai just admitting to him that he prepared for the scenario where he died.
And Gin, the smart man he is, is still very suspicious. It's a shame for him his opponents are just as smart.
Shinichi, just tell her the truth XD WHY DID AI ASKING IF AKAI WAS A LOLICON T-T
And Shinichi can't go anywhere without a murder happening...
Megure: Why are these people suspicious?
Takagi with no shame: Because a child told me they were!
Wait, Mitsuhiko isn't completely wrong here. What are the FBI but government sanctioned murderers? (Lol I remember an argument I got into with another person because I called a character this from another fandom).
And the cover Jodie goes for is Camel is her lover XD
I almost wish I was watching this blind, so all the twists would shock me like intended. It's a shame you can't erase your memory.
And Shinichi gave Jodie the phone with Akai's fingerprints to not only complete his and Akai's plan but also help Jodie get the hint about who the culprit is!
Why are we having this random flashback with Ran? Is it so we can feel like she's somewhat important to the plot even though we all know she isn't. Also Akemi looks nothing like Ran, I really don't know why they keep making this compariosn. They really want to force Ran into this plot while giving her nothing significant to do in it, it's such an insult to her character. Just fucking give her a proper role. Show me that she is more than just his love interest.
Akai, taking a page out of Shinichi's book and deciding to go the fake death route and gaslight his allies about his death. This was how they bonded.
Oh so when the police takes Shinichi's belongs for evidence, they buy him another, but when they took my laptop for evidence, the fuckers made me have to buy a new one by myself <.<

Goodnight - Soryu Oh
Author Note: So I played some Otome games randomly and one of them was Kissed By The Baddest Bidder. Interesting plots. Soryu was one of my favourites, so was Shuichi. Anyway, enjoy this maybe. A little suggestive at points. Also just straight uploaded not checked yet.
On any other day Soryu would’ve avoided the establishment; he despised the heavy stench of alcohol blended unevenly with a few of Mamaru’s cigarettes. He’d suffer once he returned to the sanctity of his room for the evening, he could already feel the scent clinging to the insides of his nose. Soryu would hold this against his friends for a while; even if neither of them had forced him to come. His body had moved of its own accord the second the young maid had shone a bright smile and asked if he was joining them.
The Ice Dragon had situated himself on the opposite side of the table from her, if it had been a possibility, he would have sat on a bar stool beside the bar. Instead, he suffered sat besides, what could only be called, the useless Detective. Perhaps Soryu had been to harsh in that thought, Kishi may be lazy but he’d helped Inui out of a spot of bother a few times. The Dragon couldn’t help the sparks of Envy that had lodged in his chest once again, albeit for a different reason, as he pondered on Kishi. No-one could blame Soryu, Mamoru held the second thing that Soryu could never have.
After a while the Auction Managers had dispersed, each going their separate ways as they bid farewell for the night. A few a little more than tipsy as they staggered by the many bar patrons. Baba had been the first to leave; a charismatic grin on his face as he promised to do this again before following a rather scantily clad woman out of the bar. Ota and Mamoru had been the next to go, a exasperated Detective wrapping an arm under Ota to support his drunken frame. With those three gone it had left Soryu with a nonchalant Eisuke and a close to tipsy maid. He should have left after Baba; it had been his intention to go but the young maid had started to speak to him and so effortlessly he had found himself lost as they conversed. They hadn’t even noticed when Eisuke had left; and that thought had made the blood in Soryu’s body run cold.
“What about those two?” Came a partially slurred voice, the syllables gently tore the man from his thoughts. His ever-observant gaze falling briefly to the woman. She’d stayed; the second they’d both realised Ichinomiya abandoned them she had chosen to stay and so had he. Soryu convinced himself that his presence was for Eisuke. He was staying to make sure she didn’t embarrass the man or cause any more trouble than she had since the Auction. It hadn’t been because Soryu had noticed the several less than sober men whose eyes lingered on her for a little too long when she went to order herself another drink, nor had it been because her presence beside him soothed his stress-riddled body.
Soryu lifted his gaze from his companion to gaze at the pair situated in a booth by the entrance. A rather thin salaryman with comedically thick rimmed glasses and a sort of awkwardness in his actions that rivalled a nerdy schoolboy sat across from another scantily clad woman. Her fingers danced around the rim of her glass as she watched the man with vague interest. Every so often she would lean further forward allowing the salaryman a clearer view of her cleavage.
“He’s a nerd and she’s an escort” Oh commented idly, he reached for his seventh whisky of the evening, relishing briefly as the liquid seeped down his throat. Normally he would stop at four and switch to a light beer but then again, he would never have been out drinking for this long unless he was making a deal. As he placed the, now, empty glass back on the table he reminded himself that he should’ve left before Eisuke.
“Soryu that’s not how you play the game” She chuckled a little as she finished the rest of her own drink. Her fingers danced around the rim of her own glass as she hugged it against her chest. At some point she had slithered into the seat beside him, and he could smell the lavender that swam through the air around her, offsetting any other smell from the establishment.
He’d frozen. His mind replaying the same word in her voice as though trying to retain how the syllables had rolled from her tongue in that innocent tipsy tone of hers. She’d never called him by his name before. It had always been ‘Mr. Oh’ or ‘Sir’. Never Soryu as much as he had craved it. He’d have told her if it hadn’t been for his pride. If he hadn’t wanted to save himself from being teased by Baba or Ota.
“You’re supposed to say something like. She’s asking him to buy her cat.” She whistled, another sip of her drink and Soryu caught the gaze of the bartender. In a brief flick of his wrist, the Bartender nodded. “But he’s allergic to cats, so she’s offering herself with the cat but he’s just waiting for the other members of his DnD club.” Soryu couldn’t help the soft chuckle that tore through his throat. “Do that again, I like that sound.”
Her drunken words meant nothing currently, yet it didn’t stop the warmth from dusting Soryu’s cheeks. The Ice Dragon caught the way she began to rock sideways, and he was certain that the room was spinning around her; so as the bartender set down a tray of coffee, Soryu placed his arm on the back of their seat, it was a precaution to keep her on the cushioned bench. He inched closer to her – just to make sure she had something to keep her propped up. Not because he wished she would fall towards him. Or so in that moment he could hold her.
“Ok, how about he’s a police officer in disguise, and she’s a widower. They matched on a dating app whilst he was trying to get closer to a drug ring. She guessed the code correctly and he wants to arrest her, and she just wants to get her rocks off. Two crossed wires.” Soryu smirked. Stifling her laughter, she placed hand in front of her mouth. She shifted in her seat, her leg brushing against his, an innocent action that had Soryu’s muscle tensing and his mind malfunctioning. The ever-composed Ice Dragon felt pathetic – she could reduce him to dust with just a smile and they hadn’t even known each other that long, not before the man had fallen for her soothing presence.
“Better…who next….?” She sighed, her head roaming the other patrons. Soryu lifted his coffee to his lips, the liquid lingering on his tastes buds as he revelled in the bitter drink. The second it hit the back of his throat he felt the caffeine kick in, doing its best to rid him of the alcohol coursing through his system. “Him” she practically beamed pointing to the bar.
For a second, he wondered if she meant the bartender, who stood cleaning an already immaculate wine glass, but then his gaze just skimmed a man hunched over his drink. He was younger than the other patrons, his dishevelled brown hair damp from what Soryu assumed was the rain outside. A hefty sigh masked the mumbles that came from the bartender, and for a second Soryu recalled a face in his mind’s eye. Especially when he caught sight of the glasses that sat beside the man’s drink, he paired them with the off brown three piece that adorned the man’s body and it suddenly occurred to him, just who he was looking at.
“That’s Shuichi’s and Eisuke’s love child. See the bartender doesn’t like him, clearly, he has the aura to get on everyone’s nerves just from his presence alone, probably from Eisuke, but arguable from Shuichi too. Then there’s the hair, the poor eyesight, and that sigh.” Soryu announced.
The room fell silent before hysterical laughter rang out. Soryu almost jumped at the sound as it resonated in his ears. She wrapped her arms around her body as she struggled to compose herself or even breathe. A grin spread through Soryu’s features, as they ignored the quizzical looks from the other customers. Even from the love child whose scowl imitated Shuichi so well that the woman’s laughter doubled.
“I bet…” She paused, inhaling deeply, “I bet he’s sad because his dads are fighting so he left after coming all the way to Japan to see them. Maybe he went to Dubai first to look for Shuichi but when he found out that he came to Japan he followed. Poor guy. Don’t worry sir, your dads will stop fighting soon” She shouted the last of her sentence. Soryu hushed her, sending the man an apologetic smile.
“Here. Have some coffee” He uttered. The mug remained untouched, her body lifting from their shared seat. She stumbled towards the bar, hands gripping the wooden surface tight as she ordered another drink. The bartender, whose eyes flew between her and Soryu, nodded before handing her a glass of what Soryu knew would be water. The mafia boss had slipped some money to the bartender when he had delivered his coffee, a silent look passed between the two men in a wordless contract to cut her off.
Soryu had been so caught up in his thoughts that he hadn’t noticed the pair of legs now stood in front of his coffee. He lifted his gaze carefully, cautious not to linger on any places he shouldn’t. She grinned down at him, rocking on her feet to keep herself steady.
“Look Sor, I’m taller than you now” She giggled. The nickname held an effect on him that he was too ashamed to admit to. The Mafia boss stood his hand hovering in the air before he turned around.
“Get on, it’s time we left” He announced; he bent slightly at the knees whilst he waited. She took a moment to understand what he meant, her body all but jumping onto his back. She hung her arms around his neck as her legs wrapped around his waist. Neither of them missed the way her body shivered the second he placed his hands under her thighs, or the way his body seemed to relax further.
To any outside observers they looked like a couple, a boyfriend who had come to collect his drunk girlfriend carrying her back to their room. Especially with the way she grinned, every so often blowing on the shell of his ear. The action would have Soryu jolting slightly, his fingers squeezing her thighs in a false warning. The Ice Dragon Leader wore a softened expression, a small smile gracing his usually frowning features.
“We should tell Mr Ichinomiya and Mr Hishikura to kiss and make up so their son can have his family back. He looked so sad; I wonder what Mr Ichinomiya did.” She mumbled, her voice seemed quieter now and she slurred her words a little less. A soft rumble in Soryu’s chest alerted them both to just how entertaining the idea of waking Eisuke up to tell him his fake son was waiting for him was.
“Maybe not tonight. I don’t think Eisuke will be too impressed” Soryu laughed. The woman fell silent even as she continued to blow on Soryu’s ear or tap her fingers against Soryu’s chest. What he had failed to notice in her silence was her reaction to his laugh. He’d only chuckled earlier, and yet the soft exhale that could barely be called laughter had the maid craving for more. “Ok, I need to put you down now” He added as they stepped inside the Penthouse elevator.
She didn’t move to release him, in fact she tightened her hold on the man, her legs wrapped tighter around his waist as she buried her head into the crook of his neck. He could feel the pout she wore, especially as her lips skimmed the skin on his neck. He moved his head away from her, a small shudder running through his body as he gazed at her through his peripheral.
“The elevator card is in my pocket; I can’t reach with you on my back.” He informed her; she continued to pout, shaking her head a little. A mischievous spark in her eyes startled Soryu as he felt her press further against his back, her fingers running down her chest towards his jacket pocket. His eyes closed struggling to maintain his composure until he felt the soft prick on his check. He peeked through a crack in his eyelid to see the familiar white key card.
“Here you go” She beamed, “Now onwards Sor.”
Mentally he was scolding himself, he should’ve told her – forced her to get off him. Anyone else and he would’ve. He’d done it many times in the past, each with a different drunk woman who would remember little of Soryu’s kindness and forever wind up hating him for his harshness the next morning. He should’ve left when Baba left.
He stood there, in the middle of the penthouse longue, unsure of where to put her. He couldn’t walk up the stairs and dump her on Eisuke. Not with his ill-temper when he gets disturbed. Nor could he leave her on the couch, not with the wandering hands of both Baba and Ota. He couldn’t think, not with her head resting in the crook of his neck, her breath gliding across his skin eliciting goosebumps in its wake. He shook his head as he headed towards his own suite. She’d stay in the spare bed tonight, if Eisuke hadn’t removed it already. Soryu would leave her there and make his way to his condo for the rest of the night. By the time he reached it, he’d have just enough time to shower and go to the Ice Dragon’s headquarter.
This wasn’t her first time in his suite, and much to his dismay he hoped it wouldn’t be the last. She’d cleaned the room many times before, but this was the first time that he willingly brought her to the room. The first time he had placed her on the bed. He was a statue by the bed; watching as she hid her face with her hands. Her clothing hung dishevelled on her body, her skirt rising just high enough to have Soryu’s mind wondering. He’d imagined her many times in his bed, and he wished he could say those thoughts had remained in the dead of night at his condo, but often he found himself fantasizing during his meetings with Eisuke. The Ice Dragon Leader would catch her cleaning in her maid uniform – hardly the most scandalous outfit but enough to have his blood racing and his eyes glossing over.
“Do you need anything? Water?” He frowned at himself. He knew the answer already and with that knowledge he’d bring her some water before he left. In the morning he’d send Inui over with some pain medication and perhaps some breakfast to keep her hangover at bay. With that settled he turned to leave. Just as quickly as he had moved, he felt a significantly smaller hand pull at his. His eyes drifting to the fingers that wrapped around his wrist as he let himself be pulled down.
“Don’t go” She paused; her words sounding panicked. “Not just yet” She continued. The simple sentence attacked what little self-control Soryu had left. It’s when his head hits the pillow that the alarm bells ring. A harsh reminder of just how bad things could turn out. At that point he should’ve stopped, told her she was drunk and left immediately. He should have. Yet he remained there, his body turning to lay on his side. Neither spoke, for a while, at least not with words. Soryu’s usually calm eyes roamed every corner of her face, a silent plea. He drank her in as though this would be the last time, he’d see her. Which should Eisuke find them was a very real possibility.
“Hold on” She whispers, breath warm against his face. She reaches out to him. Two fingers gently running over the skin of his forehead as they push back a stray hair. “There much better” She adds. Her hand remained there, it pulls him closer to her and he doesn’t stop the way his body shuffles closer on the bed. He can feel her rubbing her fingers against the skin of his temple. Soryu can feel her breath on his lips, and that on its own is enough to send his heart racing, he can smell the alcohol and the heavenly scent of Lavender. A scent he would forever associate with her, with this. It’s a smell subtle enough not to irritate him. Her fingers run over his hair, and he can’t help the shiver that escapes him. Nor can he stop his eyes from closing as he revels in the sensation. She eats at his control, and he can feel it slipping. He should be scared by just how easily she made him weak, but he’s not.
“I should go,” He mutters, he doesn’t mean these words anymore, “and you should get some rest before we do anything we’ll regret”. He doesn’t move, any conviction in his body went the second her fingers fell from his hair to the nape of his neck. She doesn’t force him to move, its written in her eyes how she feels, especially when he places his hand on her thigh. His fingers rubbing slow circles into her skin.
It’s innocent. The soft caress of her lips on his. She made the first move, he’s painfully aware of that fact but he kisses back regardless. His mind savouring the way her lips move against his, its everything he imagined it to be. The innocence depleting quickly as his mind races with the countless scenarios he imagined in his early morning showers. Her lips tempt him just as much as he tempts her. His hands pulling her body flush against him. Both ignoring the burning sensation in their lungs demanding them to breathe. His hand resting on her thigh rises higher; high enough to feel the material of her underwear.
Her own hands move to his shoulders desperate to rid him of his jacket. It doesn’t take long for the material to fall to the ground in a crumpled heap. His lips travel from hers to skin of her jaw, he leaves wet kisses as he turns his attention to her neck. In turn she moves her attention to the buttons of his shirt. He can feel the air stabbing against his overheating chest and the sensation knocks his brain into gear. He’s quick to hear the alarm bells, quicker to release her neck from his torment.
In an instant they both stop, her hands caught in one of his hands whilst his other remains still on her thigh. He inhales attempting to muster some control as he pulls himself off the bed.
“I’m sorry, I can’t” his words end in a pitiful chuckle; aimed at himself. In a reckless moment he had ruined what little closeness they could have. She wasn’t his to hold, to kiss or to touch. She wasn’t his as much as he wished she was. “I better say goodnight before I change my mind” He utters. He casts one last look at her, face red and dishevelled.
The second the door closed behind him; he fell against it. He hadn’t bothered to grab his jacket, nor had he bothered to rebutton his dishevelled shirt. Soryu lifts his fingers to his lips, he can still feel her lips against his, still feel the lingering warmth on his body. He was changing his mind the second he fished for his phone in his pocket. If Inui didn’t answer he’d go back in, deal with the fallout tomorrow.
“Was it everything you’d hope it’d be?” Eisuke’s voice filled the silence. The tight-lipped syllables turned Soryu’s blood to ice. “I do hope it was worth touching what belongs to me. I can see you enjoyed it and this once I’m willing to overlook it for an old friend.” He added.

Just A Holiday Romance?
Hey hey! 😋 So writing seems to be a good way to pass the time at the moment and keeps my mind busy rather than focusing on all the bad things going on at the moment. 😊
Smut and Fluff, maybe a little Hurt/Comfort thrown into the mix
Following a messy break up, MC and her friends head off on a girl’s holiday. When out clubbing they meet Eisuke and a couple of friends. Encouraged by her friends, MC enjoys the thrills of a holiday romance, but is it destined to end?

The heavy rain fall, smashing the ground and drenching MC, was an ironic metaphor for her current mood. The rain soaked her sage green party dress, which highlighted her curves, chilling her to the bone. Her hair, which had been styled into princess curls only hours earlier, now clung to her wet cheeks, the ends going straggly from the rain. Her make up, too, had been ruined.
The one saving grace of this horrid storm, the rain disguised MC’s tears, as she ran through the city.
She ran all the way to her friends home in search of some comfort. How had things turned out this way? Only hours earlier, MC and her friends had been speculating how tonight could be the night that her boyfriend, her childhood sweetheart, after 7 years of being together, would finally propose.
He had asked her to meet him at a restaurant in the city, one they had both said they wished to try out, and told her it would be just the two of them. Upon hearing the news, MC and her friends had spent the afternoon picking out clothes, styling her hair and doing her make up. All so she would look her best, should he finally ask her to be his wife.
So why was it, that she was now left feeling like her whole world had crumbled from beneath her. Like the wind had been knocked from her sails?
The door to her friends apartment opened in front of her. There stood her friends, who had been helping her get ready earlier. Seeing their friend looking so upset surprised them.
“MC?” Jessica spoke quietly.
“What happened, what’s wrong? Where’s Isaac?” Millie questioned. Worry etched her friends faces.
“I-I left him at the restaurant…” MC stuttered out the words. Her friends looked at each other, growing more concerned, before MC spoke again. “He didn’t propose, he wasn’t ever going to… turns out Isaac has been seeing someone else-“
“HE CHEATED ON YOU?!” Her friends exclaimed. MC sobbed while she nodded before she continued what she was saying.
“And they are going to be together, in fact he’s meeting her family next week. I think he intends to marry her”
There was nothing her friends could say. They had all believed since school MC and Isaac would get married. They had been smitten with each other since they got together at 16. Now at 23, they had been wrongly convinced the pair would be settling down for the future. No one would have guessed Isaac would have been living a second life, making future plans with another woman.
“Right!” Millie shouted, “Forget that prick, we are in need of a girls holiday! One which is going to encourage you to get over that dumbass!”
“YES!” Jessica joined in, “And who knows maybe we’ll be lucky and enjoy a holiday romance or two!!”
MC laughed. A true laugh, at her friends silliness but wonderful idea. A girls holiday was the perfect idea. She had spent the last 7 years spending her time marching to Isaac’s tune. She had missed out on so much because she had been so hopelessly devoted to his beck and call that she never went out and had all the fun she could have done. This holiday she would make up for that mistake.
“How long should we go for?” MC asked. Noticing her enthusiasm the other two smiled.
“Well, you just left your job since you were looking at moving away with that dickhead, Jessica left her job because she is going to go to university in just over a month, and I’m currently on summer break from university, soooooo how about a long vacation?” Millie proposed.
“How about 4 weeks? That’ll give me time to relax and then come back and sort through my things before leaving?” Jessica replied.
“Perfect!”
All in agreement, their holiday plans were made. They would be leaving in 3 days time, jetting off to Santorini in Greece. They had a villa booked for the full 4 weeks. Their excitement for sun, sea and maybe a little bit of romance, had the girls eager to jet off.
***
A few days had passed, and the girls had finally arrived at their villa. Stepping out of the airconditioned taxi, the heat engulfed the friends. Sharing a smile, they headed into their villa, home for the next month.
Looking around, the girls squealed in excitement, as they went from room to room. The villas garden contained a swimming pool, seating area, BBQ, pizza oven and pool table.
Heading out onto the balcony showed the villa was also rewarded with a beautiful view, facing out over the ocean. You could see the beach and a few of the clubs and restaurants. If heaven was comparable to a place, this was it, MC thought.
As MC and her friends stood gazing from the balcony, they noticed a group of men down on the beach. Jessica and Millie were wildly discussing how gorgeous these men were. Joking about hoping one of them would notice them, or that they would be a holiday hook up. MC responded with a smile and a few sounds in agreement.
Yet all the while her attention couldn’t help be drawn to one man in particular. His short brown hair, chiselled features, made him nothing short of breathless. He was truly gorgeous. But what drew MC’s attention to him most of all, was his lack of smile, as he gazed out over the beach. He piqued her curiosity. Although she must have been staring for too long, for as if he had felt her stare, the man turned and appeared to make eye contact with MC. Holding her stare.
“Let’s go swimming in the pool before heading out for dinner!” Millie exclaimed. Her voice bringing MC out of her trance, allowing her to remove her sight from the man down on the beach. They all headed back into the villa to get changed into their bikinis.
But MC couldn’t help but look back at the stranger once more. But this time, he appeared to smile slightly at her, lifting his hand in a casual wave. MC smiled at him before heading inside. She didn’t risk waving back. What if she had only imagined it? Or worse, what if he had actually been waving at someone different?!
Shaking her head, MC headed back inside, planning to forget all about the beautiful stranger from the beach.
***
A few hours later and the girls were dressed in tight skimpy party dresses and their hair and makeup done ready to go clubbing. MC worse a tight mini white dress which finished half way down her thigh. It highlighted her curves, while its hurt promoted her cleavage. Her hair had been curled and tucked around so it sat across one of her shoulders.
When entering the club, other party goers naturally stared at the girls as they walked up to the bar. They ordered their drinks before heading to a booth at the edge of the club, where they could sit and enjoy their drinks for a moment.
MC sipped on her rhubarb and ginger gin as her eyes scanned the club. The girls had already been drinking before heading out, so they were pleasantly tipsy at this point. As she looked around, MC thought she had seen the man from earlier with his friends sat in another booth, but before she could be sure a mob of dancers blocked her view.
Millie, who was far drunker than her friends, grabbed their hands and pulled them to the dance floor.
“Let’s dance!” She exclaimed. The other two couldn’t help but laugh at their friend. This was perfect, MC thought. This holiday was definitely going to heal her heartbreak. She could feel it.
Laughing with her friends, MC too started dancing. The seductive movements of her hips rolling, her arms high above her head, naturally attracted the looks of others. Many from admirers, some from those jealous of the others looks. But MC didn’t care. She had been reserved for Isaacs sake. But now, now she could be herself, and have fun. She wasn’t going to let the looks of others stop her.
Suddenly a voice spoke up from behind the girls, addressing them.
“Hello there pretty ladies, the names Baba, could we have the honour of your company tonight?” The man, who called himself Bab, had long light brown hair spoke, his eyes mainly drawn to Jessica. Blushing Jessica nodded, and Baba took her hand placing a princely kiss on her fingers. “Let me introduce my friends. That one there is Ota.” He pointed at a younger man, who had blondish, orange hair. Millie’s eyes immediately bugged, as if she had literal hearts in her eyes. Amusingly, he seemed to have a similar reaction when he saw Millie. “And that one, his name is Eisuke” the girls turned to look at the man Baba called Eisuke. His short brown hair, chiselled features, MC recognised him immediately as the stranger from the beach. Although she hid the moment of recognition, she noticed a slight change in Eisuke’s expression. Had he recognised her too?
“Heh what charming men. Well, I’m Jessica, and these are Millie and MC. We’re staying in a villa nearby so you’re welcome to dance with us here, and if you’re fun maybe we’ll even let you back to continue the partying!”
As if that was a signal the groups of friends merged together and continued dancing. As there was now 3 girls and 3 guys natural pairs formed. Baba and Jessica, Ota and Millie, which left MC with Eisuke.
As they danced, Eisuke’s hands naturally found purchase on MC’s hips. She continued to dance with him, as they swayed their hips, Eisuke pressed firmly to her back, in time to the music.
MC could feel his every breath on his neck. Until he spoke into her ear.
“So, your name is MC then? I noticed you earlier, I’m guessing that’s the villa you are staying in?” Continuing to dance MC nodded in reply. “I thought this earlier, but you’ve piqued my curiosity”
“Likewise” MC finally granted him with a reply.
“How so?” Eisuke asked, genuinely interested in her response.
“You weren’t smiling, and so I wondered why, or maybe I wondered what you would look like if you did smile. A genuine smile.”
The words appeared to shock Eisuke. And MC could feel his heart rate increase through where he was pressed against her back.
“How long are you here for?” He finally asked.
“4 weeks, why?”
“Maybe you’ll make me smile. A genuine smile” Eisuke provoked, a smirk on his face. The flirtatious comment sparked something in MC.
She turned to face Eisuke, his hands still placed on her waist. As they made eye contact, his fingers seemed to twitch, before he moved one of his hands to cheek. His thumb rubbed her cheek before it slid down, to hold her chin. Making sure she couldn’t remove her eyes from him.
Who knows who made the first move, but it all happened so quickly. Eisuke’s lips had crashed onto hers. They weren’t tame kisses. But hungry biting kisses. They set MC’s heart into overdrive and her want for him encouraged her to open her lips, allowing his tongue to find purchase in her mouth, dancing with hers. She could feel desire building, a warmth spreading through her body. It couldn’t have been long but by the time the two separated, they were gasping for air. Still their eyes remained on one another. His full of desire.
As MC went to move away, Eisuke’s hands on her hips tightened, as if forbidding her from moving away from him. Smiling at him, she placed her hands on his and took them from her hips. She moved away and whispered into Jessica’s ear, who had been busy enjoying her own kisses with Baba.
“I’m heading back to the villa, you girls have fun!” Breaking away from Baba for a moment Jessica questioned her friend,
“Everything ok? You seemed to be having a good time” Jessica winked, nodding towards Eisuke.
“Yeah everything’s good, just fancy heading back now. Make sure you tell me all about this tomorrow!” MC gestured towards Baba and Millie. Laughing the girls waved goodbye and MC headed out of the club.
She had been walking for about 5 minutes. The whole time noticing she wasn’t walking alone but remaining quiet. But now she felt like she had to say something since she was nearing her villa.
“Rather than follow me, why don’t you walk next to me?” She asked, glancing back towards Eisuke who had been following her since she left the club.
“If you knew I was behind you why didn’t you speak?” He asked, MC was quick to retort,
“Why didn’t you speak? Instead you act like a stalker?”
“Look, you kissed me at the club and then suddenly start to run off? As much as it sucks to have someone run off after a kiss like that, and trust me it is not often that someone runs from me, I wasn’t going to leave you to walk home at this time of night alone.”
“Oh so gentlemanly” MC joked. Eisuke smiled, enjoying the back and forth.
“Well since I’m walking you back either way how about we chat as we go. How old are you?”
“23. You?”
“27. What do you do for work?”
“I just applied for a job somewhere else. I was meant to be moving and so left my job but the move fell through so came away before I head back to a new job. You?”
“Few things, but mainly hotels”
“Cool.” MC replied, still looking ahead. Eisuke still walking behind. Finally, he asked his next question.
“So why’d you run?”
“Run?” She asked.
“That kiss… anyone would expect after a kiss like that to enjoy the night longer. What did I do to make you leave?”
“Nothing”
“So why?”
“It’s complicated”
“Try me”
“We just met and you want me to open my heart up to you. Tell you my troubles?” MC asked, genuinely confused by the conversation. They were stood outside the villa now, MC unlocking the door and placing her hand on the door handle.
“I told you, you caught my curiosity.” Eisuke reached out and grabbed MC’s arm, turning her to face him once again. He caught her chin to make sure she couldn’t look away. MC could see the desire still smouldering in his eyes. Desire she was sure was mirrored in her own. “MC…”
MC could feel herself being drawn in. Drawn into the warmth of the eyes of a man who when she’d seen him look at others, appear cold. Her eyes were drawn to his lips. His ridiculously perfect lips, which seemed to beckon her as they edged ever so slightly, slowly closer. Finally, the scent of his aftershave filled her senses. God the man smelt good. She had tried to resist being drawn into him. How could she be so drawn to a man who 24 hours earlier was stranger. But the words of her friends came back to her. A girls holiday, and maybe a holiday romance. Could Eisuke be holiday romance?
That was the last thought MC had before her lips were covered once again by Eisuke’s. They were hungry. Biting. All consuming. He made her feel amazing with just a kiss. Separating herself from Eisuke, MC grabbed his hand, opened the door to the villa and made her way, with him, to her bedroom. As soon as they entered her room, she shut the door.
Eisuke didn’t give her so much as a moment to catch herself, before he lifted her up into his arms and crashed his lips into hers again. Pressing her up against the bedroom door, MC wrapped her legs around his waist. His hands held her in place by holding her ass, squeezing her cheeks as he did so.
Eisuke begun trailing kisses down MC’s neck. The desire was building up in her, eliciting moans and whimpers from her. She could feel his hard length as he pressed himself against her, which only served to excite her more. Moving away from the door, he roughly chucked her down on the bed, before joining her. Hovering over MC he gazed into her eyes.
He smiled. A genuine smile, full of warmth. Before he buried himself in her breasts. Stripping away her dress, and his clothes, he pressed himself down on top of her. His fingers of one hand squeezed her sensitive hardened nipples, while his other hand trailed up the inside of her thigh.
Her moans only seemed to encourage him more. He planted kisses down the front of her body, before he settled himself in between her thighs. Seeing how turned on she was, only increased his desire further. He soon buried his head between her thighs and serviced her with his tongue. The pleasure he brought her, had MC moaning out his name. As he added two fingers into the mix, entering them into her while he continued his actions with his tongue, MC had one hand gripping the bed sheets, while the other was in his perfect brown hair, dishevelled by their actions.
Just as MC felt her high coming, Eisuke almost cruelly stopped, sliding up her body and whispering into her ear,
“Not yet baby, I haven’t had my fill of you yet”
The words made MC whimper. Although she wanted more than before to feel him inside her. No, she needed him inside of her. As if he recognised what she wanted, he lined himself up with her entrance before thrusting himself into her. The way he filled her made MC gasp. He waited a moment, allowing her to accommodate him.
“Ok baby?” Eisuke asked. When MC nodded, Eisuke began thrusting into her.
He started out slowly, allowing MC to get used to him. However, it wasn’t long before his thrusts became quicker, went deeper and were rougher. MC cried out his name over and over. His nails digging into his back and shoulders. Yet neither cared in midst of their pleasure, all that could be heard were her moans and his grunts.
As her walls clenched around him, Eisuke also found his climax. He continued to thrust into her allowing them to prolong their high, before falling beside her into the bed. Both of them panting, before they looked at each other smiling.
“That… That was amazing” MC said as she handed Eisuke a bottle of icy cold water. Combing his fingers in her hair, Eisuke smiled and nodded in agreement.
“Hey MC, do you want to grab brunch when we wake up?” MC smiled and nodded. The fact that Eisuke had wanted to make plans, despite already getting to have sex with her, pleased MC. He hadn’t just wanted her physically, he wanted to meet again. That was unlike many of the one night stand stories you hear from other girls.
***
And it hadn’t just been brunch the next morning MC had spent with Eisuke. Following her steamy night with Eisuke, MC had told her friends what had happened and their plans for brunch. Jessica and Millie had been so happy for MC that they had encouraged her to indulge in this holiday romance. The bonus was they were now also romancing his friends. As a result, the two groups had merged together, with the guys practically moving out of their hotel and into the villa.
The first 2 weeks of the holiday, MC had been thoroughly enjoying her holiday romance. Sightseeing, dinners out, ‘couple’ vs ‘couple’ games nights and the best sex she’d ever had. But what she had loved most of all, was the smile Eisuke had rewarded just for her. She’d almost forgotten it would all come to an end in 2 weeks’ time. Heck, she had forgotten. But she wasn’t the only one who had forgotten.
As they were sat enjoying lunch in a café, Eisuke couldn’t help noticing MCs phone kept buzzing.
“You sure you shouldn’t get that?” He asked, glancing at the screen, noticing the name lighting up her phone.
“Nah its fine.” MC replied, turning her phone onto silent.
“Who’s Isaac?” Eisuke asked, a slight coldness seeped into his tone. Jealousy clear from his annoyed expression.
“Oh, uh my ex” MC said quietly. Eisuke was visibly relieved to hear it was an ex rather than current partner.
“When did you break up?”
“Few weeks ago”
“Were you together long?”
“Yup 7 years”
“How come you split up?”
“Oh he was seeing someone else, and decided he wanted to be serious with her instead”
“What the fuck?! Seriously?”
“Why would I joke about something like that” MC laughed, trying to lighten the mood a little.
“Well he was an idiot letting someone like you go” MC blushed at Eisuke’s words. He quietly took her hand in his and rubbed her fingers with his thumb. “His loss has been my gain. What did he want anyway? He seems pretty insistent on talking to you”.
“Jessica and Millie have been posting photos on their Instagram’s from the holiday. Obviously, he has seen them and there were a few of me and you, he doesn’t seem to like the idea of me not being available or crying over him and is kicking off”
“The guy who cheated on you is annoyed you are having fun? What a dick” Eisuke huffed drinking his coffee. MC smiled at the sight before taking a sip of her own coffee. In this moment she felt happy. Happier than she had ever felt before.
***
Finally, the last day of their holiday was here. While the girls were getting ready in Jessica’s room they started to reminisce about the holiday. It was clear all three girls had thoroughly enjoyed their holiday romances.
Jessica and Baba had made it clear there were not emotionally feelings for them. It was like friends with benefits. They were enjoying the casual sex, while hanging out as friends. The sort of person you’d bump into and catch up, but she wasn’t too worried about going back and not seeing him again. He literally had been just some fun for her. As she had been for him too.
Millie and Ota had seemed to have started to find a connection with each other. Ota had told Millie when she goes to University to let him know where she would be living so he could come and visit her. Whether there was something there for them beyond visits was anybody’s guess at the moment, but Millie was certain they would see each other again.
As for MC, it was when talking to her friends she realised her and Eisuke hadn’t mentioned going home. There had been no discussion of what would happen after these 4 weeks. They hadn’t exchanged numbers. They hadn’t mentioned meeting up. Heck, she didn’t even know where he lived. But what she did realise was she had fallen for the guy who only seemed to smile with warmth and kindness towards her. But she knew she wouldn’t be telling him this. Especially not since things seemed destined to end tonight.
When the girls stepped out of the bedroom the guys were already there waiting for them.
Baba dressed in his black jeans and a red shirt. He had tied his hair back. Taking Jessica’s hand he kissed her fingers, just as he had the first night, and escorted her out of the villa.
Ota, wearing some blue jeans and a white shirt smiled at Millie as he held his hand out to her. She placed hers in his and they entwined their fingers. Millie’s pastel blue dress matched his jeans perfectly. They, too, headed out. Millie looking back and smiling at MC one last time before disappearing from the villa.
It was just Eisuke and MC left. He wore a pair of white skinny jeans and a charcoal shirt. MC’s white lace dress matched him perfectly. He smiled at her.
“You look beautiful” he stated, making MC giggle.
“You don’t look so bad yourself” She approached him, and he wrapped his arm round her waist planting a kiss on her cheek. “So, where are we headed?” She asked.
“Right here” Eisuke replied, much to MC confusion.
He took her hand and guided her outside into the garden. What met MC surprised her as she looked around and then back at Eisuke bewildered but happy. The garden had been decorated with fairy lights and lanterns. The pool was filled with rose petals. A picnic blanket was led out with champagne and strawberries dipped in chocolate waiting for them.
MC felt her chest tighten. She was so moved by Eisuke’s yet it hurt to know tomorrow she would be on a flight and this dream would be over. Shaking her head she showed Eisuke her brightest smile and accepted his outstretched hand which guided her to the blanket. If this was to be their last evening together in this dream, then she would make sure she enjoyed every minute, smiling at him until the end.
***
The hours ticked by, and MC and Eisuke had shared many stories under the star blanketed sky. Stories of their childhood, friends, family, dreams and future goals. MC had learned Eisuke had a few other friends back where he lived who hadn’t come with them on the holiday. But what they hadn’t discussed was how they would be going home tomorrow. Back to reality.
As their evening together came to an end, they stood and gazed at each other. It was clear to MC, she had fallen in love with her holiday romance. She’d fallen in love in the span of 4 weeks, and it would be a heart-breaking love. A love that couldn’t be. A love that after tonight would disappear from her life.
“MC—”
“Shh” She silenced him with a kiss.
A kiss he so readily returned. A kiss that conveyed everything she wanted to say but couldn’t. His hands found their home on her hips, like they had done so many times these last 4 weeks. But unlike how they would no more. If speaking meant tonight was to be the last time they could be together, then she wouldn’t let either of them speak, for she didn’t want to say goodbye.
Seemingly understanding, and dare she hope feeling the same, Eisuke showed his kindness through not asking anything, not speaking any words. Instead he lifted her into his arms, never separating his lips from hers as he took her back to the bed they had shared for the last 4 weeks.
Tonight, neither seemed as calm or collected as they had been before. As they became one, it was full of raw emotion. As if the pain they both were feeling could be quashed by bringing one another pleasure. Their moans were as if they were cursing the idea of this moment ending. Their breathing increasing as they came ever closer to their height of pleasure. If tonight would be their last together, then they sure as hell were going to make it a night neither would forget. They left mark after mark upon the other, as if these marks would symbolise the feelings they couldn’t speak. As even when tomorrow or the next day come, and they won’t see each other, these marks were serving to remind them of the other.
That night they made love countless times. Yet still neither spoke of what tomorrow would bring.
It really would be goodbye.
***
A few weeks later and things had been exactly as expected. Jessica went about as if business was usual without Baba. Millie and Ota had spoken every day and had arranged when Ota would come to visit. While MC was left lonely. Hurting. Missing Eisuke.
“You know…” Millie started, “Apparently, according to Ota, you aren’t the only one down in the dumps and missing the other person”
“What do you mean?” MC asked, suddenly interested in the conversation going on around her.
“According to Ota, Eisuke has been more irritable than before, but when asked about the holiday he gets a faraway look in his eyes and smiles for a moment”.
MC nodded and looked out the window again. That was all she needed to know. It had been real, not just for her but for Eisuke too. It gave her hope. She believed in fate, and maybe if she was lucky, maybe he was her fate and they’d find each other again.
***
Millie had headed to university and Jessica’s summer break had ended. MC had also heard back from her job application. She had successfully received a position as a maid and would begin her vacancy in a few days. As such, she was moving into the hotel staff dormitory today.
Upon arriving at the hotel dorms, she became fast friends with two of the other maids, Sakiko and Chisato. They had made her feel very welcome and had been busily introducing her to everyone
“Finally, Mr Ichinomiya owns the hotel. In total he has hotels in Tokyo, Dubai, London, New York as well as an airship and cruise ship. He’s currently building another hotel but only staff know about it so keep that one quiet” Chisato winked at me as she filled me in on my new boss.
“I wonder what he’s like?”
“Umm… honestly he’s a little cold. But he looks after the hotel well! Lately he seems to be in a bad mood. More so than usual, when he comes to the casino he doesn’t even enjoy winning” Sakiko explained. “Anyway you’ll meet him when Mr Kenzaki introduces you later!”
“Great…” Honestly the way they had made him sound, MC wished she wouldn’t be meeting him. But as her employer he had to introduce himself and her the same. Still, she managed to find the kind side of one cold man recently, maybe she’ll see a nice side to this Mr Ichinomiya guy too.
***
When evening came around Mr Kenzaki came to the dorms to collect MC for their meeting. He handed her the uniform and her name badge and instructed her to change ready to meet the hotel’s owner, Mr Ichinomiya.
Following Mr Kenzaki, MC arrived in the meeting room and took a seat in the chair directed to her. Time seemed to tick by slowly, before the meeting room door opened and someone’s steady footsteps entered.
“Mr Ichinomiya, Sir” Mr Kenzaki spoke to the owner, signifying to MC she was about to meet her boss. She stood, ready to bow politely to him, yet as she turned her eyes went wide.
“Eisuke?! You own this hotel?!” She gasped. His reaction was similar as he dropped the file he had been holding.
“MC?! You're the new employee?” He, too, gasped in surprised, before taking her arm firmly in her graps and walking from the meeting room towards the penthouse elevator.
“Sir?” Mr Kenzaki called out in confusion.
“Forget the meeting, she’s a good hire. Well done Kenzaki. Get me a penthouse pager and key card ready for MC here and leave it on my desk. Don’t disturb me for the rest of the evening.” Seemingly understanding his instructions Mr Kenzaki bowed and headed off. All the while Eisuke kept a firm grasp on MC’s arm.
Neither said a word as they went in the elevator. Nor as they walked through the corridors. Still Eisuke gripped her arm. As they entered the lounge, Ota and Baba noticed Eisuke and gasped out,
“ISN’T THAT MC?” catching everyone elses attention.
“That’s MC?” A tall man in a grey suit with black hair asked.
“That’s the kid that’s had Eisuke in a sour mood?” A scruffier looking man with stubble on his chin asked.
“MC, that’s Soryu and Mamoru” Eisuke briefly introduced them still dragging her by her arm.
“Oh, um, hello?” MC said waving in her confusion.
“Ahahahah at least he is back to being in a better mood. How long you here for MC, so we know how long he’ll be happier for?”
“She’s the new recruit I just went to meet.” Eisuke smirked, “Meaning she’s here for good”
Proceeding to drag MC up the stairs the guys watched smiling knowingly.
As soon as they were in his suite he shut the door and locked it to avoid any interruptions. Only once they were inside did he finally let go of her arm. But she was only released for a moment before he held her in a tight, crushing embrace. It wasn’t long before she was hugging him back, just as tightly.
“Want me to make you a coffee?” MC laughed, remembering the odd request Eisuke had made of her when in Greece, and how he had told her she made the best coffees. Yet Eisuke only tightened his embrace.
“Later… right now I don’t want to let you go” surprised by his honesty MC questioned his further.
“Why not?”
“Because the last time I let you go I lost you” He sighed, speaking more honestly than he ever had before. “I won’t make that mistake again”
“Eisuke…?”
“Listen, because you’ll learn very quickly that I am not a man who talks freely of him emotions. I missed you, MC. As soon as we parted waya I regretted not talking to you about a future where we could meet. I hated not seeing you or speaking to you every day but Christ it was only 4 weeks and you managed to grasp my heart which I had given up on years ago. You’re the first person who I’ve had regrets about leaving. And you’re the first person I’ve felt this way about.”
“What way?”
“Come on MC… you don’t need me to say it” Eisuke glared, but MC wasn’t going to let this one slide.
“I won’t know anything if you don’t tell me Eisuke. Isn’t that kind of how we got into this mess?” Sighing Eisuke replied,
“You’re a cruel woman” But his sigh soon turned to a smile. A genuine warm smile. Full of everything he was feeling and more. “I love you, MC.” Smiling MC wrapped her arms around Eisuke.
“I know” She giggled as Eisuke looked at her in annoyance.
“You can’t make me say all that and then just respond with ‘I know’” Kissing him softly as if to soothe his mood she smiled,
“I love you, too Eisuke”
That was all he needed to hear to ignite the flame of desire. His lips crashed to hers and his hands found their place once again on her hips as if that was where they were meant to be all along. This love was never meant to just be a holiday romance. It was too real. Too strong. It was never meant to end.
“I’m never going to let you go again” Eisuke whispered, as he pressed his forehead to MC’s, tightening his hold on her, before sealing this promise with a kiss filled with all the love they share.

That was enough, she had drunk enough alcohol. She looked over at her brother Mamoru from the spot she was sitting in the bar. He had always come through for her no matter what the situation. He was an exceptional big brother, this time was no different. She called him saying she broke up with her boyfriend that he admitted he cheated on her. Everyone met her at the hotel bar. She was feeling overheated though.
“It’s really hot in here” She started fanning herself. Eisuke looked over at her and offered her his hand.
“ let’s go for a walk to cool down, yeah?” She smiled and took his hand.
They walked around the hotel in comfortable silence. The cool air felt good on her skin, but not long after they were out there had rain started dripping on their faces until they were stuck in a downpour. They ran to get into the hotel, but they were nowhere near the entrance, and once they finally got in the lobby they were soaked.
“ We should go up to the penthouse and change before either of us gets sick.”
“ Probably a good idea, but I don’t have any clothes to wear.”
“ You can wear something of mine.”
She went with him up to the penthouse and he guided her to his suite shutting the door behind him.
“ Come with me I’ll get you some dry clothes”
He handed her a t-shirt of his and some sweatpants, once he turned to leave her in privacy she grabbed his hand. He looked down at their clasped hands then back into her eyes. They were just staring at each other not saying a word. Her eyes drifted to his lips and acting out of pure impulse she took her hand away from his hand and traced his lips with a finger. When she realized what she had done she retracted her hand. Only for Eisuke to grab her hand and draw her finger into his mouth. Once he released her finger he leaned down and covered her lips with his own. He pulled back seeing if she had any objections. Only for her to return the kiss with raw hunger. He pushed his tongue into her mouth and pulled her against his body. She moaned into the kiss and he brushed his fingertips down the sides of her body.
“ mmm... Eisuke”
They began to savagely peel the drenched clothes off each other. Standing in front of each other in nothing but their nudity _ _ _ started blushing, furiously. They locked eyes and he closed the distance between them and started kissing down the side of her neck moving across her collarbones gently nipping at the delicate skin. He drew away taking her hand and led her to the bed. Eisuke kissed her deeply again before gently lowering her onto the bed. As he hovered over her he leaned down and kissed her at every angle plunging his tongue into her mouth twisting his tongue along with hers. He palmed at her breasts earning a sweet moan.
“ Mine.” He says as he leans down and bites down on the skin on her neck gently sucking, marking her with a blooming love bite.
He began kissing down her chest and in between her breasts pinching her nipples causing them to harden. He rolled her nipples in between his fingers. Her breath hitched, he started to give her sweet kisses down her body until he reached her hip bone and bit down gently. _ _ _ took in a deep breath. He looks up at her from his relentless kisses.
“ Is this okay? Or should we stop?” She looked down at him heavy lidded
“ If I wanted this to stop I would have said so awhile ago. Do you want to stop?”
“Definitely not” She smiled and he went back to kissing her soft body.
He dipped his hand between her legs and she gasped as he touched her clit oh so gently. He pressed down harder putting more pressure on it. She grabbed the sheets, making her knuckles turn white. He began rubbing the sensitive nub in circles, she closed her eyes leaning her head back against the soft pillow.
“ Oh god”
Eisuke settled down on his stomach and put her legs over his shoulders and she braced herself for the impact.
“ Relax, you’re too tense. I’ll make you feel good.” She took a deep breath and closed her eyes.
He spread her labia and with the tip of his tongue licked up her clit.
“Mmmm”
Her moans were riling him up. He inserted two fingers inside of her and curled them pumping, whilst licking up and down her clit. She threaded her fingers in his damp hair tugging. She arched her back as he continued his sweet torture on her.
“ Fu..ck I’m close...I’m so close.” He brought her clit into his mouth and sucked sending shockwaves throughout her body and her hips lifted of the bed and he continued pumping and suckling as she rode out her high.
She put her hips back down onto the bed and let go of his hair as she caught her breath. He gave her one more long lick collecting her release on his tongue. He put her legs down and sat back reveling in the way she looked in the aftermath of her orgasm. He leaned on top of her and pressed his lips against hers having her taste herself on him. She combed her fingers through his hair.
“ Can I have you _ _ _ ?” He asks in a low voice.
“ Yes, I need you Eisuke.”
They sloppily kiss and he guides his throbbing cock to her moist entrance. He slowly pushes in savoring the way it feels as she squeezes him inch by inch. He groans as he finally is sheathed to the hilt. She wraps her legs around his hips trying to draw him closer. He pulls out just enough to keep the tip in and then pushes back in, and she digs her nails into his shoulders leaving crescent shaped indentations in his skin. He grunts in response and she bucks her hips to meet his thrusts. He started going faster, deeper and she dug her heels into his lower back. In the throes of pleasure, she bites down on the side of his neck. He adjusts his angle, and he starts hitting her sweet spot over and over again causing her to cry out. Her moans got more frequent and higher in pitch, and his thrusts started getting more erratic. Her body was warming up in its entirety from the top of her head to the tip of her toes. As he thrusts harder he legs begin to tremble. She stills as her vision goes white letting the sensation take her over. Her walls clench around his sensitive cock drawing him in further. He rocks his hips into her faster chasing his release so close but not quite there yet. She begins moving again trying to help him reach his climax and with their frenzied movements one thrust than two, he pulls out stroking himself as he spills onto her stomach with a groan. He catches his breath then moves off the bed to get a towel and wipes her off. He throws the towel in the laundry bin and flops down next to her and they both laugh. He looks over at her and brushes her sweaty hair out of her face.
“ It isn’t going to be weird between us is it?” He cupped her cheek and turned her head so she was looking at him.
“It doesn’t have to be. I’ll take care of you I won’t ever hurt you. You’d be safe with me.” She turned to her side and traced the love bite she left on his neck.
“ What are you saying Eisuke?” He gave her a chaste kiss and took her hand.
“ You don’t know how long I’ve wanted you, but I’ve had to stand by watching you be happy in the arms of another man.” They interlaced their fingers
“ What? You have feelings for me? And just so we’re clear on one thing I was NOT happy with him.” He looked at her dubiously
“ you weren’t ?”
“ No, because I had feelings for someone else. One of my brother’s closest friends.” He ran his fingers through her hair.
“ Stay with me _ _ _. Stand by my side.” She crashed her lips into his slipping her tongue in his mouth, and Eisuke knew that was her way of saying yes.
