Replaying trial 6 also got me to realize how much v3 stresses that emotion has value, and cold logic isn't always, if ever, the best response to everything life throws at you. Kaito's carefree, if a bit brash, attitude brought Maki and Shuichi out of their self hate spirals. By choosing to trust each other over gut instincts of suspicion, they were able to grow and make it through the game. Kokichi's character also reflect this. His lies had enough power to change the course of the game entirely, even if by cold logic they held no weight. Further, his refusal to fully put his trust in others and closing off his emotions ultimately lead to his death. Though his death was one last lie he attempted to bring into reality for the affect it would create.

And at the end, this culminated in the clash of the logic of Tsumugi's Ultimate Real Fiction and Shuichi's belief in the real tragedy they had experienced. Tsumugi argued that everything the survivors had experienced didn't matter, because they weren't real, and it was all orchestrated. Shuichi insisted that it was real to them, and by feeling real, it became real in a very tangible way. The lie had become their truth, and this truth matters so, so much.

honestly this is my most delusional pjeg take that I know probably will never happen but maaan I would love for damon to have a solo blackened win /lhhhh (spoilers below)

i think one reason this got me thinking was because like... i think playing as damon has a bit of an out-of-body feel to it, as if you're playing a danganronpa game but instead of being the actual MC you're some side chara who has a good head on their shoulders + is fairly logical but isn't above killing to escape. Like playing as damon feels like you're playing as Celeste in DR1 or Kirumi in DRv3 while the actual Makoto/Saihara is Diana. Secondly they really did take out 2 huge threats in the game imagine if by the last chapt the only logical thinker left is damon while the rest of the survivors are emotion-driven charas like grace tshk kai etc dude definitely has a chance. like bro the cast in this game doesn't even want to touch the body. if you take out jean wnn ulys desmond you really might have a shot /lh
