Man “Battle Nexus: New York” was a great episode but I do have one major gripe with it.

The entirety of Percy and his friends would love her so much. She will never ever be in a situation where she will think that she's alone. She'll always have someone to call, always have somewhere to go back to, always have a home.

And they will make sure of it, she will never go through what they did. She'll never have to worry about going home and getting yelled at or hit, worry about people not caring for her, worry that what she does being the only thing that proves her "worth". She will be loved unconditionally which many of them weren't.

I don't think you understand. She will be the counter of all their fatal flaws, she will never think she isn't enough, she'll never believe herself to be a burden, she will never question the love people have for her, she will never be afraid to make decisions in fear of failure because she will always have people to fall back to, she will never feel the need to risk herself for others, she will never have a intense desire for something like power, because she has the people she loves, she will never think of herself as useless, she will never have to wonder whether her life is at risk, she'll never have to believe that it's up to her to fix her broken family, never have to worry about not having a home to go back to. Never worry about her self worth being tied to something she was "destined" to do.

And she will NEVER wonder whether she is alone.

She could be thousands of miles away from home and even there she would have someone. She could be anywhere on the planet Earth hell even not on Earth and she will never be alone, she will never fear for her life.

absolutely crazy to me how through the books, leo's pov is always talking about how he feels left out of the 7, and he doesn't have any friends or family that isnt the 7 so. hes literally sad about the fact that hes never truly had anyone love him, since his mom died. he juggled foster homes and ran away from things and even now that he HAS friends and a prophecized future and everything? "to storm or fire the world must fall", he STILL feels like the least important member of the group. the 7th wheel. the one nobody is actually friends with. hes so incredibly used to feeling unloved. AND THEN RICK GIVES HIM A GIRLFRIEND. theres so much wrong with calypso but first of all it was also just shitty to give him a romantic interest before letting him heal his friendships and mental health. AND. CALYPSO ONLY LOVES HIM BECAUSE SHES CURSED TO FALL IN LOVE WITH EVERYONE WHO LANDS ON HER ISLAND. SHE ONLY LOVES LEO BECAUSE SHE IS PHYSICALLY BEING FORCED TO AND SHE ISNT EVEN NICE TO HIM. AND HE IS OKAY WITH THIS????

People don't talk enough about the fact that the moment annabeth truly started respect Jason was the aftermath of the incident in ithaca. After Jason came face to face with his mom's ghost trying to lure him into gaia's trap.

This was not only a pivotal Jason moment but a huge stepping stone in annabeths character development.

She was able to compare Jason's situation to Luke's, and realised how truly noble Jason was, since he could've easily ended up like Luke considering the familial issues they both had, but didn't. Annabeth always worried in MOA that jason would turn his back on the team, but He didn't give in to the remnant of his mother's temptation of evil, even after all that he's been through. Which caused her to understand that jason is very trustworthy and is like the last person to betray anyone.

A part of me wonders that annabeths real reason to mistrust jason is only partly because he is Roman, and mostly because he bore some sort of resemblance to Luke, which was quite painful for her since she trusted luke only for him to backstab her. This may be a stretch, but it's a Lil theory I had.

’Annabeth took a shaky breath. ‘No other right choice, maybe, but ... a friend of mine, Luke. His mom . . . similar problem He didn’t handle it as well.’

I feel like, based on her tone when she talked about luke to Jason here, this is also the moment she truly realised that she shouldn't have put luke in a pedestal like that, even after the evil stuff he did. She realised that Luke could've changed, but he chose not to, and chose revenge instead, to me, this is the moment she FINALLY came to that painful conclusion about Luke, many many books later. Bc even in lost hero, annabeth seemed very wistful while talking about Luke to Jason (I mean, jason even sensed nostalgic attraction from her tone, so there's that).

I also feel like that's the moment annabeth was freed of her doubt of Jason's intentions. We know that she was very mistrustful of him during MOA and I feel like she always had that lingering doubts up until this moment tbh. But based on what she witnessed, she realised that Jason was truly a good person with a good heart with genuine morals. A hero through and through. Which is what made her admit to Apollo that "Jason was truly one of the best of us" a VERY high praise coming from a child of Athena, who's fatal flaw is hubris.

I think Mutant Mayhem is the first tmnt propriety to make Leo my favorite turtle right off the bat.

Not that I don’t like Leo anywhere else, but usually it takes me like a second rewatch or something to really pick apart Leo’s character in full to appreciate him- and even then he’s usually not my favorite.

But MM Leo is my favorite for reasons I cannot identify.

Maybe it’s the way he walks, his cringe fail personality, I don’t know but I care about this loser so much.

Idk he cares so much abt his siblings despite the fact that they can be so mean to him sometimes. He is also the one who continually pushes to do the right thing when theres nothing (or even sometimes worst things) to gain from it.

Even his attempts at being cool come off as dorkish but it’s charming in a way only little kids can be. In a ‘you’re doing your best sweetie’. Leo is a single mother of three while also being a teenage boy, that takes work.

He’s such a silent but calculating character, ironically when he doesn’t try so hard and does what he feels is right he gets the best results (ie his leader speech, the plan to be accepted, gaining the acceptance of other mutants) for all his fumbling and try hard attitude he has such natural potential it’s insane.
