I strongly believe that Evan is very disconnected from his emotions. Normally, he's a very emotionless and cold person, but sometimes he randomly feels tears running down his cheeks or laughs without knowing why. His general mood and face expression are very "why am i crying ew thats so embarrassing" instead of fitting to his emotions. He often doesnt understand why he feels the way he does, so he goes to Barty, Pandora or Regulus to ask them why he is feeling a certain way. I imagine it like this:

Evan: "Barty, what is that urge to giggle all the time, why dont i want to die?"

Barty: "Rosie thats feeling happy"

Evan: "Oh."

Evan:

Evan: "So why am I happy?"

Barty: "Because you passed all of your exams with an O"

Evan: "Ah, okay. Weird."

Considering the fact that Evan sees himself more as a weapon and an experiment, as if his body was an entirely wrong thing to exist in. More about that here. All this could be fitting to a depersonalization, which is true to me. Yet, Evan has way too big god complexes. They're just not corelated to his body, but more to his soul and intelligence. Evan trusts strongly in his charm and smartness

Evan tries to always stay neutral, and unless he's got really strong emotions that is working out perfectly. He believes that emotions are for lower people like his standarts are too high to feel something as humiliating as them.

Now imagine him being heartbroken. Oh he wouldn't know what was going on. He would ignore the wants and needs of his body, simply acting like nothing happend. And when someone asks him about the reddened eyes he would say "I'm just as confused as you". Once he would realize what was going on it would be over for the other person though. After his sadness comes anger which leads to violence. Evan is definitely not one you want to mess with, and if someone hurt him, they will pay for it with ten times as much pain.

Did you see ALYSON RONAN from TELL ME WHY walking around Limbo? The CISFEMALE looks like LYNDSY FONSECA, and is TWENTY-EIGHT years old. I’ve heard she can be COMPASSIONATE & ORGANIZED but also SARCASTIC & RESERVED. When I think of them I think of RED BEANIES, BURIED CHILDHOOD TRAUMA, AND VARSITY HOCKEY. They’ve been here WITH their memories as a MANAGER at LIMBO CITY DRIVE-IN for TWO YEARS. I heard they’re seeking a sanctum.

grew up in a small alaskan town where everyone knew everything & everyone. tho she lived in juneau in her early-mid 20s, so city life isn’t totally new to her.

raised by a single mother, along with her twin, tyler. their mom did her best but well, she had problems. i.e. she broke promises all the time, ignored them half the time, had a drinking problem, they barely had enough money to get by (they were always hungry/relied on handouts from neighbors) so she stole shit, & was rather distant & unhinged from reality. she was also very controlling i.e. wouldn’t let them watch or even have a tv, go to school, & watched them like 24/7.

unlike tyler, aly was aware of her mother’s fragile mental state & did all she could to keep from setting her off, including trying to keep tyler reined in. it’s likely she had schizophrenia & depression.

very very creative. made a board game similar to chutes and ladders named luge and tramway with tyler when they were kids. she also created the book of goblins as a kid.

when they were 11, she heard tyler screaming for her & found their mother holding him at gunpoint. so she stabbed her, believing she was going to kill tyler, she’d said she was going to, so.

obvs that left her traumatized af but tyler took the blame for it when the cops got involved. she didn’t want to lie but tyler convinced her to go with it, so they did, & were split up. he was labeled an at-risk youth & sent to a center for troubled teens & aly was taken in by the police chief who was a fam friend.

it was 10 years before she was able to be with tyler again & basically, they go back home to fix up & sell their house & try to figure out what actually happened that night.

went 10 fucking years without telling anyone the truth or talking about it at all, so hello guilt & buried issues.

basically they learn that cps was going to get involved in things & she was going to lose her kids (her biggest fear) so she was either a) going to kill them & herself or b) kill herself.

i’m going with the twins believing a, however, aly still doesn’t 100% trust her memory of that night so that’s smth that weighs on her a lot. that what if.

she carries a loooot of guilt, esp towards tyler, she thinks she stole his life. she’s very awkward around him & apologizes constantly, tho that’s gotten a little better over the years.

she’s kinda like that in general with people tbh, new & old. she says sorry way too much & is very conflict avoidant due to her childhood.

i’m obvs going with the ending where she, tyler, & michael moved to juneau bc the other ?? oof.

loooves hockey. she played varsity for three years in high school & likely got back into it after moving/in college.

has pretty severe panic attacks/anxiety & depression but since she started going to therapy, it’s gotten a little more manageable for her.

has a passion for diy projects & crafts. also a space & astronomy hoe.

still trying to kick smoking.

went to a sketchy online college once but is pretty sure they just stole her credit card info. she’s probably gone to an actual one since but what for, idk yet.

she still has very conflicting feelings on her mother.

has a like telepathic/empathic link with her brother that they call “the bond” or “voice” -- they’re able to share thoughts & feel each others feelings. they’re also able to like see & hear memories with it.

very big on lgbtqia rights & appreciation. if you talk shit or be disrespectful she will fight you. she had to hear enough of that bs back home about her brother (& michael) & she ain’t here for it.

very protective of her brother.
